- 0:00Silver investors hear all the time about this looming silver
- 0:04shortage. But is it for real?
- 0:07We have some new data today that may just indicate to us it is
- 0:13really, really for real. And when we talk about what's
- 0:17happening with this one major component of the supply side of
- 0:22silver, it becomes real clear that this current price around
- 0:26what, $24.00 isn't realistic. We need silver prices, do you
- 0:32think? Like around $5065 per oz
- 0:36minimum, just to be able to make it economic to supply the world
- 0:41with all the silver that's needed, we need at least 50-60
- 0:45dollars silver. This is absolutely crazy.
- 0:48What is going on? So we're going to talk about
- 0:57this one new component that is changing on the supply side of
- 1:03silver. And when you hear about it,
- 1:05like, again, I think it's going to make the picture a little
- 1:07more clear for us. But the price is what the price
- 1:10is. But it's not always a straight
- 1:12ride up, up, up. I know I probably take it harder
- 1:15than most people. I hate down days in the precious
- 1:18metals markets. But you got to remember what you
- 1:21own. Whether you're holding physical
- 1:23silver, physical gold or the precious metal mining stocks,
- 1:27you are holding on to real value in the mining stocks in
- 1:33particular will take us on a wild, wild ride.
- 1:37Are we indeed facing a silver shortage that could propel the
- 1:42price of silver significantly higher in the coming years?
- 1:46What's going on in Mexico, guys? Mexico is the world's biggest
- 1:52producer of silver. If you want silver, you go to
- 1:56Mexico. The Spanish went there, right?
- 1:58It's just Mexico is the silver capital of the world, the
- 2:03world's #1 producer of silver. But but and this comes from some
- 2:08great research from our friends at the silver industry industry
- 2:13sub stack. John Little, a friend of Ron's
- 2:15basement, that's his sub stack. This comes from Silver Star
- 2:20Academy. As always, if you want to get a
- 2:23daily update on what's going on, I have no economic interest.
- 2:26I'm not sponsored by them. I'm just telling you, if you
- 2:29want to get something delivered to your inbox every day, that
- 2:32has to do with Silver. He does in writing what I do in
- 2:35video format puts out something every single day.
- 2:38Go to the silverindustry@substack.com but
- 2:43let's read this What he had to say about Mexico silver
- 2:46shortage. Confirmed Mexico silver supply
- 2:50has dropped off a Cliff. At this pace, Mexico could be
- 2:54out of silver around the year 2026.
- 2:59What? What?
- 3:01We need to dig in and see what What's going on here.
- 3:05Tavi Costa, he's the brain in Brazil, one of the smartest
- 3:09analyst in the precious metal sector, big investment manager,
- 3:13super smart guy. Let me give you a little quote
- 3:15that he put out Mexico's silver production and he's in Brazil.
- 3:20So he knows what's going on in Latin America.
- 3:23Again, Mexico is the biggest producer of silver in the world,
- 3:26guys. The world is demanding more and
- 3:28more silver. In Mexico, silver production
- 3:31apparently is decreasing and we're going to get into the
- 3:34specifics here. When demand goes up and supply
- 3:38goes down, the only thing that fixes that is higher prices,
- 3:42period. Mother Nature rules, OK, the
- 3:45market rules. Eventually the manipulation by
- 3:48the COMEX and the LBMA can only go on for so much longer.
- 3:52This is Tavi Costa, Mexico. Silver production is now
- 3:56declining double digits annually for the first time in almost a
- 4:01decade. Historical trends indicate that
- 4:03substantial contractions, a new mine supply of silver have
- 4:08presented excellent opportunities to invest in the
- 4:12metal. That means the price usually
- 4:14goes up when when production goes down.
- 4:17More importantly, consider that silver is currently at one of
- 4:22its most undervalued levels in history.
- 4:26So all this is going on, right? This decrease in supply,
- 4:30increase in demand and the extra bonus kicker, the cherry on top
- 4:36is the fact that silver right now is at its most undervalued
- 4:40level in history. Did that say currently at one of
- 4:44its most undervalued levels in history?
- 4:46I was correct. Fact Check, especially compared
- 4:50to gold. Thank you, Toby.
- 4:52Yes, we know that it takes like 84 ounces of silver to get one
- 4:56ounce of gold. Imagine 4 tubes of American
- 4:59Silver Eagles and then four more American silver.
- 5:02Would you trade? I don't know.
- 5:04Honestly, I don't know that I well, I would right now, but I
- 5:08don't know. To me, 4 American Silver Eagles
- 5:10seem almost equal to 1 ounce of gold.
- 5:12But we're talking 4 tubes of American Silver Eagles with 20
- 5:17coins in each tube for one ounce of gold.
- 5:21Are you kidding me? Am I sleeping?
- 5:24Is this real? Here's a chart that you can get
- 5:30all this delivered to you if you sign up.
- 5:32It's free. By the way, what John does, John
- 5:34Little. That's a chart of Mexico silver
- 5:37production. We are over here.
- 5:41If I get my finger, we're over here.
- 5:42See, going down, down. Mexico is the world's number one
- 5:48producer of silver. I've said that six Times Now.
- 5:51Labor activism is on the rise. People in Mexico, they shut
- 5:55these mines down. The Mexican miners, they're
- 5:58unionized. I mean, I can tell you, example
- 6:01after example of America's gold and silver Equinox had problems
- 6:07at their gold mine in Mexico. There's it, just trust me, the
- 6:14Mexicans are shutting the mines down, the labor.
- 6:16So that is real environmental activism.
- 6:20Yes. They come up with some very
- 6:21interesting environmental reasons to make it difficult on
- 6:25minors in Mexico. AMLO, I think it is the current
- 6:28president. It's it's it's a mess.
- 6:30Okay shifts in political regimes by the day, supply and demand
- 6:35that dynamics are rapidly shifting in favor of demand
- 6:39while supply is dwindling before our eyes.
- 6:43Above ground stockpiles of silver are disappearing.
- 6:46Mexico has always been the number one producer of silver,
- 6:51but Mexico silver production is down almost 25% in the last two
- 6:58years. That is a shocking drop off the
- 7:01Cliff in silver production. We got more silver investors, if
- 7:07you are holding silver today, you are in great shape.
- 7:11Congratulations, because the silver price is soon going to be
- 7:14$50 per oz. OK, don't make any investment
- 7:18decisions based upon that. That's just my conservative
- 7:22opinion. I think it could go much, much,
- 7:24much, much, much, much, much higher than $50 per oz.
- 7:28Silver is the most undervalued asset on the face of the earth.
- 7:31If you want to get your hands on some silver now, don't forget
- 7:34channel sponsor Pinbex Pi MB E xpinbex.com online bullion

- 7:57you'll find what I found. They checked all the boxes and
- 8:00they can help you with IRA conversions too.
- 8:03Silver is the critical mineral for net 0 economies.
- 8:08This gets interesting especially in hydrogen fuel cell cars,
- 8:12trucks, vans, ships, barges, and ferries.
- 8:14Especially in satellites, robotics, artificial
- 8:17intelligence, solar, and other renewables like wind power.
- 8:21There are over 10,000 OK 10. Write that down. 10,000 other
- 8:27industrial applications. Things like military, aerospace,
- 8:31healthcare, electronics. Don't forget silver is the most
- 8:35conductive metal in the world of electricity.
- 8:37Silver is also very thermally conductive.
- 8:40Silver is also the most reflective metal.
- 8:43There's nothing about silver that it's not the best.
- 8:45At the United Nations Climate Change Conference just met,
- 8:53that's called COP 28, OK? And they are all in on renewable
- 8:58energy that is silver intensive. They were talking about tripling
- 9:04the amount of of of, of, of green energy capacity in the
- 9:09world. I don't know for sure how that
- 9:11came out, but that's the same like COP 28 is the same thing as
- 9:16COP. What 21 that were the Paris
- 9:18Accords that set all of this craziness.
- 9:21Wait till you see this chart that I have for you in a second.
- 9:24Let's talk solar. OK, speak of the devil.
- 9:28For every GW of solar, one GW of solar, 500,000 ounces of silver
- 9:35are used. One GW equals 500,000 ounces of
- 9:41silver. I don't even know how many
- 9:42monster boxes that is. How many ounces are in a monster
- 9:46box? There's 500 oz.
- 9:49Maybe that would be 1000 monster boxes for each.
- 9:54Wow, one GW of solar electricity.
- 9:58That or solar panel generation. Just OK.
- 10:02This is interesting. Just this one manufacturing
- 10:05facility in Houston, TX will use 1,500,000 oz.
- 10:12Per year, 1,000,500 oz. Per year.
- 10:16And just down the street from this plant is another plant
- 10:19using 1,000,000 oz. These are solar panel
- 10:22manufacturing plants located right here in the United States
- 10:26of America, down in Texas. I love Texas.
- 10:29OK, here, here's the company. Wairee Energy, India's largest
- 10:34solar photovoltaic manufacturer, announced it will establish its
- 10:37first US manufacturing facility in Houston, TX.
- 10:42The facility, located in Brookshire, will have the
- 10:45initial capacity of three GW of solar modules and annually by
- 10:51the end of next year. Did you hear that?
- 10:54Three gigawatts of solar modules annually by the end of next
- 10:59year? Remember what our friend John
- 11:01just taught us? Each GW uses a half million
- 11:05ounces of silver. 3 gigawatts equals 1.5 million ounces of
- 11:10silver. Not just one time, no.
- 11:13For every year. And guys, this is where it gets
- 11:17crazy. Sit down.
- 11:18I got a chart. OK?
- 11:20I don't pull out charts unless they're crazy.
- 11:22You know, the old cup and handle chart, which I'm not going to
- 11:25show you today. You know, the wedgie chart,
- 11:27which I'm not going to show you today.
- 11:29I have a new chart. This comes from our friends at
- 11:33Bloomberg. Fortuna Silver Mines is a global
- 11:36intermediate gold and silver producer.
- 11:39Since 2005, Fortuna's best in class management has delivered
- 11:44impressive growth and profits. Fortuna's solid financial
- 11:48position and operational expertise allows for performance
- 11:53in any precious metals price cycle and provides a foundation
- 11:57from which to harvest great profits in more favorable metals
- 12:01markets. Investing in Fortuna is an
- 12:03investment in quality, long term, sustainable production of
- 12:08in demand precious and base metals.
- 12:11This is a chart that shows global PV installation.
- 12:16Who remembers what PV stands for?
- 12:19Not pervert or anything like that dirty minded folks.
- 12:22No, PV stands for photovoltaic, which is a fancy way of saying
- 12:27solar panels. This is a chart that shows from
- 12:30since 2010, the number of solar panels that have been installed
- 12:35in the world. Are you ready 2010, 2023?
- 12:46Do you see a trend? Did you fall out of your chair?
- 12:53OK, that's real data from Bloomberg and guys, the the big
- 12:58part of this. Sorry, I am too cheap to have a
- 13:00color printer of a black and white printer.
- 13:02This big part here is China. China is installing solar panels
- 13:08at a rate that is astounding. OK.
- 13:12We always say China's the country that's like, you know,
- 13:14the the worst polluter in the world, Well, they're putting in
- 13:17a lot of solar panels, there's no doubt about that.
- 13:19This is going to continue going up and for each one of these,
- 13:25there's silver in it. But as we move out over here, as
- 13:29we move into the future, not only are we going to see more
- 13:32solar panels, but we're also going to see more silver in each
- 13:38panel. We can't emphasize that enough.
- 13:41Back to Mexico, another friend of the basement, Vince Lanci.
- 13:45What a great guy. Super, super, super legitimate.
- 13:51Not just a smart guy, but a great guy in a in a warrior for
- 13:55silver. We love Vince Lanci.
- 13:57OK, I did an interview with him a couple weeks back.
- 13:59If you want to dig through my channel and find it, I would
- 14:02highly recommend it. We dissected what's going on in
- 14:05the world. But anyway, Vince Lanci says
- 14:07Mexico quote Mexico is in the process of soft nationalization
- 14:12of its remaining silver as well. Soft nationalization, right?
- 14:17This has to do with the BRICS nations, and the BRICS nations
- 14:20are increasingly restricting G7 access to their remaining
- 14:26resources. That's the big picture we talk
- 14:28about all the time. The world knows there's only so
- 14:31much silver, the BRICS nations and BRICS.
- 14:34Plus, don't forget, we're going to have who?
- 14:36Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Iran, Egypt and
- 14:41Ethiopia joining BRICS here in a few days.
- 14:44On top of Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, they're
- 14:46going to control a growing lion's share of the world's
- 14:52silver, the world's gold, the world's oil.
- 14:55I mean, guys, it's absolutely crazy.
- 14:59The situation in Mexico is particularly dire.
- 15:03As the world's leading silver producer, Mexico has seen an
- 15:06average annual output of 5600 tons in the past decade.
- 15:10Unfortunately, its reserves, its resources, what they do have,
- 15:16are dwindling to a mere 37,000 tons.
- 15:19That was as of 2020. If mining continues at the
- 15:23current pace, the country's reserves could be exhausted by
- 15:26the end of 2026 since Lanci had one more thing to say, We may
- 15:31not be running out of silver, but the cheap and easy silver is
- 15:35depleting. To be fair, Mexican production
- 15:39has had nose dives in the past all right, but it has not been
- 15:43in conjunction with China demand.
- 15:47Whether we're seeing right now, Chinese demand is so intense
- 15:51that because of the global bifurcation of trade, they are
- 15:56now buying raw ore as well as concentrate directly from silver
- 16:01producing country.
