- 0:00Speaker 1: You have this giant wad. It's too big.
- 0:03Speaker 2: And I'm not laughing.
- 0:04Speaker 1: The Woody Show.
- 0:06Speaker 3: God. All right.
- 0:07Speaker 1: So much talk about the Ed Sheeran thing. Yeah. Oh, man.
- 0:13Speaker 3: All right.
- 0:13Speaker 1: So I guess if you don't toe the line and
- 0:17Speaker 1: just repeat what everybody else says, you know, quote, you're
- 0:21Speaker 1: the problem. And, man, this one person is just, like,
- 0:24Speaker 1: going crazy. on and on and after me because I
- 0:27Speaker 1: was saying, you know, we had the original story and
- 0:30Speaker 1: I was playing a clip of Macklemore on stage. He's
- 0:34Speaker 1: doing his rant. I was like, oh, let's guess what
- 0:35Speaker 1: he's going to say, right?
- 0:36Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 0:37Speaker 1: Oh, I'm so happy to be here and be playing
- 0:39Speaker 1: this stadium.
- 0:40Speaker 2: Great to see you all.
- 0:41Speaker 1: Yeah, of all these songs, I'm really excited to share
- 0:43Speaker 1: with you.
- 0:43Speaker 4: And I'm going to net a million dollars.
- 0:45Speaker 3: Right, yeah, or whatever, yeah.
- 0:46Speaker 1: And then, nope. And I was like, you know, I'm just, personally,
- 0:50Speaker 1: I think a lot of people, no matter how you
- 0:52Speaker 1: feel about it, you have your feeling. Everybody's got your opinion.
- 0:55Speaker 3: Right. One way or the other.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Or maybe you don't have enough of an opinion. And
- 0:58Speaker 1: I don't have enough of an opinion because I'm not
- 1:01Speaker 1: educated enough about music. different things as I I'm willing
- 1:05Speaker 1: to admit, but here's what I know. Uh, I don't
- 1:08Speaker 1: care what Macklemore says when I'm just there for a concert,
- 1:11Speaker 1: you know, when I'm there for, uh, you know, to
- 1:14Speaker 1: see songs or what, like, that's not the time, not
- 1:16Speaker 1: the place, you know, people. So you're there. So you're okay. No,
- 1:19Speaker 1: one thing doesn't have to do with the other.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:21Speaker 1: You know, like, oh, so you're okay with, you know, genocide.
- 1:24Speaker 1: You're okay with that.
- 1:24Speaker 3: That's what that means.
- 1:25Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no. And people can't, you can't
- 1:30Speaker 1: separate the things. And I think that's what people have
- 1:32Speaker 1: been saying when it comes to sports or concerts, award shows,
- 1:37Speaker 1: all these things. Everybody is free to have their opinion
- 1:42Speaker 1: and their take on whatever it is. And if you
- 1:44Speaker 1: want to do something, For whatever the cause is, the charity,
- 1:49Speaker 1: the whatever, whatever, whatever it is, you can go ahead
- 1:52Speaker 1: and do it. But man, when it, cause you know why?
- 1:55Speaker 1: Cause then I sit here for this. And then as
- 1:56Speaker 1: soon as I turn around, you know, someone's preaching over
- 1:59Speaker 1: here about something different. It's like, we're just constantly.
- 2:01Speaker 5: Oh, so you don't care about my thing. I didn't
- 2:04Speaker 5: even talk about my thing.
- 2:05Speaker 1: Yeah, no. So I was like, you know, and I'll,
- 2:07Speaker 1: I'll admit, man, I really don't know enough about the whole,
- 2:10Speaker 1: I know it's very popular, you know, to, uh, the,
- 2:14Speaker 1: The Jew hating is worse than I've ever seen it.
- 2:17Speaker 1: And I grew up in New Jersey as the only
- 2:19Speaker 1: kid in my group that was not Jewish. I felt
- 2:22Speaker 1: so left out. I was such a minority.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:25Speaker 1: I know what it feels like. I know it. But man,
- 2:29Speaker 1: I went to a lot of really cool bar and
- 2:30Speaker 1: bar mitzvahs.
- 2:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 2:31Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:32Speaker 1: I did see. And again, I don't know a ton
- 2:36Speaker 1: about it.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Right.
- 2:37Speaker 1: I do know there are two sides to every story.
- 2:39Speaker 1: So I don't necessarily know. But Bill Maher. A clip
- 2:44Speaker 1: popped up from from Bill Maher on all this stuff.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And I thought it was pretty interesting. I just have
- 2:51Speaker 1: I have a couple of clips to share with you here.
- 2:52Speaker 3: Here we go.
- 2:53Speaker 6: Gaza, a little strip of land that was not part
- 2:56Speaker 6: of the original Israel, but which they won in a
- 2:58Speaker 6: war launched against them, but then gave back, gave back
- 3:02Speaker 6: as a peace gesture. Did they tell you that part
- 3:04Speaker 6: on TikTok, kids? And the people who run Gaza, Hamas,
- 3:08Speaker 6: who you celebrate as a liberation movement, but are really
- 3:10Speaker 6: a terrorist mafia gang, just like the one that terrorizes Haiti,
- 3:14Speaker 6: only ever used it to stage attacks on Israel.
- 3:17Speaker 1: And that's the danger with the social media. Whatever Bill
- 3:20Speaker 1: Maher's saying, I'd have to look into it. I don't know.
- 3:23Speaker 1: I'm not a historian. Feel free to be educated. But
- 3:25Speaker 1: you don't hear a lot from the other side of stuff.
- 3:27Speaker 1: It's just you hear like, oh, man, I better say
- 3:30Speaker 1: whatever it is.
- 3:31Speaker 5: Well, one side's fashionable and one side isn't.
- 3:33Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'm not taking up for any particular thing.
- 3:36Speaker 1: I just thought it was interesting because I had not
- 3:38Speaker 1: heard a lot about the other side of things. And
- 3:40Speaker 1: it goes on about Macklemore.
- 3:42Speaker 6: I think Macklemore spoke for all clueless celebrities when he said,
- 3:45Speaker 6: I know enough to know this is a genocide.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Actually, you don't know shit.
- 3:49Speaker 3: It's not it's not a genocide.
- 3:52Speaker 6: It's a counterattack in a war, a war that's been
- 3:54Speaker 6: waged on Israel since 1948, based on the ridiculous premise
- 3:58Speaker 6: that Jews don't belong in the one place on Earth.
- 4:01Speaker 6: They are indigenous and indisputably their ancestral homeland. Hey, geniuses,
- 4:05Speaker 6: they're the Indians in this scenario.
- 4:09Speaker 1: See, I've heard a bunch of stuff about it. And
- 4:11Speaker 1: that's this is the part like where the back and
- 4:13Speaker 1: forth can you two people are beefing. You're like, wait, wait,
- 4:16Speaker 1: hold on.
- 4:16Speaker 4: Wait, what?
- 4:17Speaker 1: And you hear the both sides.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Slow down.
- 4:18Speaker 1: Maybe like, you know, somewhere in the middle. But yeah,
- 4:22Speaker 1: I thought a lot of the points were pretty interesting.
- 4:24Speaker 1: If true, interesting, because you don't hear a lot about
- 4:28Speaker 1: it because you're not allowed to even ask questions.
- 4:32Speaker 3: That's true.
- 4:33Speaker 1: You know, when people are asked about something, they just
- 4:38Speaker 1: go with whatever the narrative seems to be or whatever
- 4:41Speaker 1: the majority seems to go with because nobody wants to
- 4:45Speaker 1: put themselves out there.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 4:47Speaker 1: Or admit they don't really know. That's why people start
- 4:49Speaker 1: throwing around big, trendy words a lot.
- 4:51Speaker 4: Sure.
- 4:52Speaker 3: Buzzwords.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Yeah, the buzzwords. That's why I see those people, they
- 4:55Speaker 1: go out, like the college campuses, they go out in
- 4:57Speaker 1: the streets and go, so what exactly is blah, blah, blah?
- 4:59Speaker 1: And they go, well, it's, you know.
- 5:02Speaker 2: What is gluten?
- 5:02Speaker 3: Yeah, what is that?
- 5:03Speaker 6: Ariana Grande reposted that starving people to death is a
- 5:07Speaker 6: red line. Make no mistake, any famine that happened in
- 5:10Speaker 6: Gaza is because Hamas stole the food, just like the
- 5:13Speaker 6: Haitian gangs do. Israel ran 94,000 trucks carrying over 1.8
- 5:18Speaker 6: million tons of aid into Gaza and enabled over 36,000
- 5:22Speaker 6: patients to leave Gaza for treatment abroad, which you TikTok
- 5:26Speaker 6: historians might be interested to learn are not things countries
- 5:29Speaker 6: usually do for their enemies during a war, and certainly
- 5:33Speaker 6: not what you would do if you were trying for
- 5:35Speaker 6: a genocide.
- 5:38Speaker 1: And then you use words and people start using words incorrectly. I,
- 5:42Speaker 1: as I was watching this, I go, huh? Okay. Cause I,
- 5:45Speaker 1: I didn't even know really like, uh, the definition of
- 5:48Speaker 1: some of these things that you hear about all the time,
- 5:50Speaker 1: but everybody seems to be the, uh, Everybody seems to
- 5:53Speaker 1: be the expert on whatever it is. Oh, well, you know,
- 5:56Speaker 1: according to the whatever of the amendment or the whatever rule.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Wait, what?
- 6:02Speaker 1: We were all supposed to know that?
- 6:03Speaker 5: Everybody was an expert on Ukraine and Russia.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Everybody's expert on COVID.
- 6:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Dude, I don't I don't get half the questions, at
- 6:09Speaker 1: least half the questions right on the DUIQ. You know
- 6:12Speaker 1: what I'm saying, Menace?
- 6:13Speaker 3: I feel you, dog.
- 6:15Speaker 1: You feel me?
- 6:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:17Speaker 3: See, I like what you say in the sense of like, hey,
- 6:19Speaker 3: I don't know all this stuff.
- 6:20Speaker 1: I don't.
- 6:21Speaker 7: And you're comfortable saying that. I think it's important that
- 6:24Speaker 7: people don't jump into crap that they don't know about just.
- 6:26Speaker 3: To pick a side.
- 6:27Speaker 1: And I am interested.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Honestly, none of this stuff comes up in my day-to-day
- 6:30Speaker 2: to even look into it.
- 6:31Speaker 1: Really?
- 6:33Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 6:33Speaker 2: I know that it's heavily covered in the media, but
- 6:36Speaker 2: my day-to-day amongst friends and family, no one's talking about this.
- 6:40Speaker 2: So I just don't look into it.
- 6:42Speaker 1: The same way I don't see all your housewife stuff
- 6:46Speaker 1: or whatever. But I think one does have more bearing
- 6:49Speaker 1: on society and on the planet.
- 6:51Speaker 3: Of course.
- 6:51Speaker 1: And I am interested.
- 6:52Speaker 3: I get it.
- 6:53Speaker 1: People go, okay, well, if you don't know about something, learn.
- 6:56Speaker 1: It's not an excuse. And you're absolutely right. The part
- 6:58Speaker 1: that I find challenging, and if anybody can direct me to.
- 7:02Speaker 1: Like a source or something. The problem is when you
- 7:06Speaker 1: ask or you go somewhere, where do you go? Where
- 7:09Speaker 1: do you go to get just real? Trusted source. That
- 7:13Speaker 1: should be a private trusted source.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Yeah, man.
- 7:16Speaker 1: When we talk about AI and all these other things,
- 7:21Speaker 1: like where, what's real, what's not real? That's the thing, man. Well,
- 7:27Speaker 1: that's what's so scary.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Does it even exist anymore?
- 7:29Speaker 1: I am interested to know, but I don't want to
- 7:31Speaker 1: know Based on your bias and your lean on something.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Or be forced to. And I think that's the trick, right?
- 7:37Speaker 7: Like, I give artists and people props for standing up
- 7:41Speaker 7: for what they believe in.
- 7:41Speaker 3: I don't think every.
- 7:43Speaker 7: situation is correct like concerts may not be the proper
- 7:45Speaker 7: venue maybe it's your own social media maybe it's another
- 7:48Speaker 7: you know a venue that you feel appropriate to address
- 7:51Speaker 7: it but forcing other people to have the same opinion
- 7:55Speaker 7: as you or putting pressure on people to have the
- 7:57Speaker 7: same opinion as you when they're not fully educated on
- 8:00Speaker 7: it that's where the BS comes in for me stand
- 8:03Speaker 7: your ground good.
- 8:04Speaker 2: For you dude on the Macklemore coverage they tend to
- 8:07Speaker 2: leave out all the clips of him saying that I
- 8:09Speaker 2: don't support anti-semitism at all yeah that's yeah that's that's
- 8:13Speaker 2: that's a very fair point that video doesn't pop up
- 8:16Speaker 2: anywhere and part of that speech.
- 8:18Speaker 5: But did you see the picture of him.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Uh performing up like a yeah.
- 8:23Speaker 5: Propaganda poster you know i'm.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Talking about no oh so that didn't pop up on
- 8:27Speaker 2: your feet apparently no no no i i think that
- 8:29Speaker 2: that was yeah right no that was a video yeah
- 8:32Speaker 2: that's him dressed up years ago.
- 8:34Speaker 1: There's another word. Propaganda.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Yeah. Right?
- 8:37Speaker 1: Because, okay, propaganda.
- 8:38Speaker 5: No, I'm talking about a World War II propaganda poster.
- 8:40Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no, no.
- 8:41Speaker 1: I'm saying that reminded me because people say, oh, that's,
- 8:44Speaker 1: I'll give you an example on the text. What's up
- 8:45Speaker 1: with the Israeli propaganda? Now, okay. Now, I'm throwing stuff
- 8:49Speaker 1: out there and I'm asking questions.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Is it propaganda? This is what I'm saying.
- 8:53Speaker 1: Is this propaganda or is what the other stuff you're hearing,
- 8:56Speaker 1: is that propaganda? Yeah, find out for yourself. Or is
- 8:58Speaker 1: it both?
- 8:59Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 9:00Speaker 1: Where is that? How do you find out what's... And
- 9:02Speaker 1: I think that's where everybody's struggling, whether it's a video
- 9:04Speaker 1: you see on social media or something that you hear about.
- 9:09Speaker 1: What's real? What's not?
- 9:11Speaker 3: And what's trusted and what's not. If you're willing to
- 9:14Speaker 3: risk a paycheck, good for you. God bless you, man.
- 9:16Speaker 3: That's the way I look at it.
- 9:17Speaker 7: But don't make me feel like I have to pick
- 9:21Speaker 7: a side on something that I'm not fully educated.
- 9:23Speaker 1: On, right?
- 9:23Speaker 4: Well, and to Woody's original point, especially the venue, you're
- 9:26Speaker 4: going to pay hundreds of dollars to escape the world,
- 9:28Speaker 4: go to a concert, Even if you 100% agree with
- 9:31Speaker 4: whoever's giving the message, this is what I'm watching?
- 9:34Speaker 7: Yeah, I understand that. You're there for entertainment. Not every
- 9:38Speaker 7: venue is made for this.
- 9:40Speaker 1: One more thing. What do words mean?
- 9:42Speaker 6: Gaza equals genocide is a lie. Words do have actual meanings.
- 9:47Speaker 6: Side means to kill. Fratricide, kill your brother. Homicide, kill
- 9:52Speaker 6: your fellow human. Suicide, kill yourself. Genocide, kill or try
- 9:57Speaker 6: to kill an entire people. You can't just change the
- 10:00Speaker 6: definition of genocide to mean counterattack in a war where people, including.
- 10:04Speaker 3: Civilians, die.
- 10:05Speaker 1: That's every war.
- 10:06Speaker 6: There have been about 73,000 deaths in Gaza, about 3%
- 10:10Speaker 6: of the population.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Tragic.
- 10:12Speaker 6: Not genocide, not close. There were 3 million Jews in
- 10:16Speaker 6: Poland before World War II.
- 10:18Speaker 3: After? 45,000.
- 10:19Speaker 6: That's genocide. If you're one of the many people these
- 10:23Speaker 6: days asking, this explosion of anti-Semitism around the world that
- 10:27Speaker 6: we see, where is it coming from? This. This is
- 10:30Speaker 6: where it's coming from. Because if you really think someone
- 10:33Speaker 6: is committing genocide, of course you have full permission to
- 10:36Speaker 6: hate them. And history shows, for whatever reason, when it
- 10:38Speaker 6: comes to hating the Jews, people don't need a lot
- 10:41Speaker 6: of permission.
- 10:41Speaker 1: Now, if you want to take up with Bill Maher,
- 10:43Speaker 1: take it up with Bill Maher. I'm presenting it more
- 10:47Speaker 1: in the way of, like, okay, so you don't hear
- 10:50Speaker 1: a lot about that stuff. You hear a lot from
- 10:53Speaker 1: the other, like the Macklemore's and all the, you know,
- 10:55Speaker 1: and that's just because that's the big story. That's been,
- 10:57Speaker 1: that's one of the big stories this week, right? And so, like,
- 11:00Speaker 1: when you're trying to sit there and digest it, and
- 11:03Speaker 1: you go, dude, I... And that's where people give up.
- 11:06Speaker 1: And maybe that's what, quote, they want, right? They want
- 11:10Speaker 1: everybody to give up so they're not paying attention. And
- 11:12Speaker 1: all they're paying attention to is the guy who's trying
- 11:14Speaker 1: to get food poisoning. at the Chinese buffets. I love
- 11:17Speaker 1: that guy. I love that guy. I asked Jeff to
- 11:20Speaker 1: get him on.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Yes, we're working on it right now.
- 11:22Speaker 5: He's done like 83 reviews.
- 11:24Speaker 1: Oh, he's in the 90s. Oh, is he? I just
- 11:25Speaker 1: watched number 90 something last night. This guy, he's like
- 11:28Speaker 1: the mullet review guy. He goes around to all the
- 11:31Speaker 1: Chinese buffets. Now, that does pop up in my feed
- 11:34Speaker 1: with my friends and family. Until he's going to every...
- 11:37Speaker 1: Every low-rated Chinese buffet until he gets food poisoning.
- 11:41Speaker 4: Is he 1,000 pounds?
- 11:42Speaker 2: No, he's not.
- 11:43Speaker 5: And all he really looks for is the pizza situation
- 11:46Speaker 5: and the crab rangoon situation.
- 11:47Speaker 1: We're goonin'. We're goonin', boys. Goonin', boys.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Oh, dude. Since we're talking about food.
- 11:51Speaker 1: That's awesome.
- 11:51Speaker 3: You love Shake Shack.
- 11:53Speaker 2: Have you tried the Reese's Shake Shack shake yet?
- 11:56Speaker 1: The Reese's Shake Shack Shake. I have not.
- 11:58Speaker 2: It's so damn good.
- 11:59Speaker 1: It sounds orgasmic. Yeah, I got to be careful if
- 12:01Speaker 1: I have them. Not as bad as Jeff, but if
- 12:04Speaker 1: I have a milkshake like that, I'd better be near
- 12:06Speaker 1: a toilet because there's a 65% chance it's time for diarrhea.
- 12:11Speaker 1: It's worth the risk.
- 12:12Speaker 2: It's like a Reese's peanut butter cup in your mouth.
- 12:14Speaker 3: Yeah. In liquid form.
- 12:16Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 12:17Speaker 3: You know what else is?
- 12:18Speaker 4: A peanut butter cup.
- 12:19Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:20Speaker 1: That's true.
- 12:21Speaker 3: 877-44.
- 12:21Speaker 1: If that's what it tasted like, Greg, we might be closer.
- 12:24Speaker 1: No problem. Closer aligned. Yeah.
- 12:30Speaker 4: It tastes like a Reese's peanut butter cup in your mouth.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Yeah. If that was the case, I'd be going a
- 12:35Speaker 1: completely different way.
- 12:36Speaker 4: But in liquid form.
- 12:37Speaker 3: Oh, really? Oh, really? The Woody Show.
- 12:41Speaker 2: All right.
- 12:42Speaker 1: Guess the word. Gina Grad.
- 12:44Speaker 3: Sivoree.
- 12:46Speaker 5: Chivalry?
- 12:47Speaker 1: Chivalry. Chivalry, yes.
- 12:49Speaker 4: Chivalry.
- 12:50Speaker 1: Yeah. Got it. What about this one, Gregor?
- 12:55Speaker 3: Camaraderie?
- 12:57Speaker 4: Camaraderie?
- 12:58Speaker 1: Camaraderie.
- 12:59Speaker 3: Yep. Nailed it.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Yep, you nailed it. One of our favorites is this one.
- 13:03Speaker 3: Crew-foo.
- 13:04Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, I know that one.
- 13:05Speaker 1: Crew-foo? Yeah. Take a guess, Gina.
- 13:09Speaker 3: Crew-foo. Curfew?
- 13:11Speaker 1: Curfew!
- 13:12Speaker 4: Wow.
- 13:14Speaker 1: These are some of our favorite all-time menace pronunciations.
- 13:17Speaker 2: A very popular 90s brand.
- 13:19Speaker 3: Yeah, what kind of shoes are those? Crew-foo. Crew-foo.
- 13:23Speaker 1: But this time, we're going to flip the script. Menace,
- 13:26Speaker 1: you get to try to guess what this dude is saying.
- 13:29Speaker 2: Ooh!
- 13:30Speaker 1: It's the Bernunciation game. This is a Dominican baseball player.
- 13:34Speaker 1: His name is Francis Gruyon.
- 13:35Speaker 3: I have been to the DR.
- 13:37Speaker 1: He is originally from the Dominican Republic. He's got this thick.
- 13:40Speaker 1: Dominican accent and his teammates. They showed him some words
- 13:44Speaker 1: in the, in the clubhouse there and they asked him
- 13:46Speaker 1: to pronounce them and we'll see how well they do. I,
- 13:49Speaker 1: I'm going to start with an easy, I'll start easier
- 13:52Speaker 1: and then we'll kind of work up.
- 13:53Speaker 3: Okay.
- 13:54Speaker 8: All right.
- 13:54Speaker 1: So menace gets to guess first. Nobody give him any
- 13:56Speaker 1: clues or anything.
- 13:57Speaker 3: All right. Menace. Here we go.
- 13:58Speaker 1: First word. Bacon cleaner. Uh, Vacuum cleaner.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Vacuum cleaner.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Vacuum cleaner.
- 14:07Speaker 4: Yeah, nice.
- 14:07Speaker 3: All right.
- 14:09Speaker 1: Vacuum cleaner.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Vacuum cleaner. All right. How about this one?
- 14:12Speaker 1: Miss Chuevos.
- 14:15Speaker 3: What?
- 14:16Speaker 2: Miss Chuevos.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Miss.
- 14:22Speaker 3: It's very hard to hear. Miss Chuevos.
- 14:27Speaker 2: Got it. Miss Chuevos?
- 14:29Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:30Speaker 2: You know.
- 14:30Speaker 1: What word would that be?
- 14:31Speaker 3: You got the Miss right.
- 14:33Speaker 1: Oh, I got it.
- 14:38Speaker 3: Greg? Is it mischievous?
- 14:40Speaker 2: Yes.
- 14:41Speaker 3: Nice.
- 14:41Speaker 2: Mischievous.
- 14:42Speaker 3: Hey, Menace, you know what huevos mean?
- 14:43Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 14:44Speaker 6: Okay, good.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Of course. Nuts.
- 14:46Speaker 1: Yeah. All right. Number three in the pronunciation game. What
- 14:51Speaker 1: is he saying here, Menace?
- 14:52Speaker 2: Extravaganza.
- 14:56Speaker 1: Extravaganza.
- 14:57Speaker 6: Yes.
- 14:57Speaker 3: All right.
- 15:00Speaker 1: Now they start to get a little bit more difficult, okay?
- 15:03Speaker 1: This is a Dominican baseball player. His name is Francis Gruyan.
- 15:06Speaker 1: What is he saying? Flamboyant. You got that one? I
- 15:13Speaker 1: think I got it. Gina thinks she got it.
- 15:14Speaker 2: Can you do it again?
- 15:14Speaker 1: I'll write it down. Yep, here we go. Flamboyant.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Flambosing?
- 15:21Speaker 2: Yes.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Flambosing.
- 15:22Speaker 2: Flamboyant. Flamboyant.
- 15:29Speaker 1: You tapping out?
- 15:31Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 15:31Speaker 3: Gina?
- 15:32Speaker 2: Flamboyant. Flamboyant.
- 15:33Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 15:34Speaker 3: Flambosing.
- 15:34Speaker 1: The ya is like a ja.
- 15:36Speaker 6: Flamboyant.
- 15:36Speaker 4: That's supposed to be flamboyant.
- 15:40Speaker 3: You know that the Vs are always Bs, too.
- 15:42Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah. All right.
- 15:43Speaker 1: Here we go. Next word. What is he saying? The
- 15:45Speaker 1: pronunciation game.
- 15:47Speaker 3: Photosynthesis.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Oh.
- 15:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:50Speaker 2: All right.
- 15:51Speaker 3: Photosynthesis. Ah!
- 15:53Speaker 1: Hey!
- 15:54Speaker 7: All right.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Next one.
- 15:56Speaker 3: Gina Nangins.
- 15:59Speaker 1: Your mother?
- 15:59Speaker 2: No.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Something leggings?
- 16:07Speaker 1: Wait.
- 16:07Speaker 2: I'm going to pass on that one.
- 16:12Speaker 5: Can we play it one more time?
- 16:13Speaker 1: Yep, sure.
- 16:16Speaker 4: Is it genealogy?
- 16:18Speaker 8: Nope.
- 16:18Speaker 2: Ooh, that's a good guess.
- 16:20Speaker 1: God, I have no idea.
- 16:23Speaker 3: Shenanigans.
- 16:24Speaker 2: Oh!
- 16:25Speaker 3: I almost sounded like chicken.
- 16:27Speaker 1: The way you said it, that makes sense.
- 16:29Speaker 3: I thought he was saying your mother in Spanish.
- 16:31Speaker 1: Shenanigans. Shenanigans.
- 16:33Speaker 2: Okay, totally.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Again, this is a Dominican baseball player, Francis Gruyon. His
- 16:38Speaker 1: teammates were showing him some words and stuff and asking
- 16:41Speaker 1: him to pronounce it with his thick Dominican accent. A
- 16:44Speaker 1: pronunciation game. Next one. Here we go.
- 16:46Speaker 6: Menace.
- 16:49Speaker 3: Purple nurple? All right, all right, all right.
- 16:55Speaker 2: Purple gerbil?
- 16:56Speaker 1: Purple gerbil. Purple gerbil. I'm told they're getting harder.
- 17:00Speaker 3: Purple gerbil.
- 17:02Speaker 1: Purple is right. Purple gerbil. Oh, purple is right?
- 17:07Speaker 5: Yep.
- 17:08Speaker 1: Purple what? Purple gerbil.
- 17:10Speaker 4: Purple gerbil?
- 17:12Speaker 1: Purple velvet.
- 17:13Speaker 8: Oh.
- 17:14Speaker 1: What?
- 17:14Speaker 3: No, no, no.
- 17:17Speaker 1: That's what they were showing him. Purple velvet. Purple burble.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Purple burble. Purple burble. All right.
- 17:23Speaker 2: Last one.
- 17:24Speaker 3: All right. Last one. Here we go.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Pronunciation game. What is he saying, Menace?
- 17:29Speaker 2: Squeeter.
- 17:31Speaker 8: Oh.
- 17:33Speaker 1: Squeeter?
- 17:34Speaker 7: Squeeter.
- 17:37Speaker 3: Squeer?
- 17:39Speaker 1: Squeer.
- 17:39Speaker 2: Yeah. Squeeter. Squeeter.
- 17:43Speaker 1: Think about how they're all laughing.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Squeeter.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Squeeter.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Sequeefer?
- 17:48Speaker 2: Oh. I'm trying to.
- 17:49Speaker 4: Maybe?
- 17:50Speaker 2: Squeeter!
- 17:53Speaker 1: Um.
- 17:54Speaker 2: Queefer?
- 17:55Speaker 1: Queefer.
- 17:56Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 17:57Speaker 1: Greg, Gina, got a guess?
- 17:58Speaker 4: Squirter?
- 17:59Speaker 2: Yeah, squirter.
- 18:00Speaker 1: Squirter.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Squirter.
- 18:01Speaker 1: You think squirter, too?
- 18:02Speaker 2: Yep.
- 18:02Speaker 1: Squirrels.
- 18:04Speaker 2: No way!
- 18:07Speaker 3: Wait a second.
- 18:08Speaker 2: Squirrels. There was a L in there.
- 18:10Speaker 1: He's saying squirrels.
- 18:11Speaker 3: Squeeter.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Squeeter.
- 18:13Speaker 4: Squeeter.
- 18:14Speaker 2: That's fine.
- 18:15Speaker 1: They're all having fun. They're not, like, making fun of, like,
- 18:17Speaker 1: he's very much a loved member of the team, and
- 18:20Speaker 1: everybody's just having a good time. Here's the, I cut
- 18:22Speaker 1: them up into individual words, but, yeah, here's the clip,
- 18:25Speaker 1: and it's... Hotos yintesis.
- 18:27Speaker 3: Los chuevos. Extra-ravaganza.
- 18:33Speaker 1: Bacon cleaner. Flamboyant. Purple bourbon. Gina Nalgings.
- 18:47Speaker 3: Squeeter.
- 18:49Speaker 1: There you go.
- 18:50Speaker 3: I already forgot what Gina Nalgings was.
- 18:52Speaker 6: Shenanigans.
- 18:52Speaker 5: Shenanigans.
- 18:54Speaker 3: I thought he was saying F your mother.
- 18:56Speaker 1: All right, we're going to take a quick break. We've
- 18:57Speaker 1: got some more Woody Show for you next. And Alfred Robles.
- 19:01Speaker 6: Yes.
- 19:01Speaker 2: My pants are around my ankles.
- 19:04Speaker 4: Do you feel each individual pump? Is that too deep?
- 19:07Speaker 1: All right, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, you're allowed
- 19:13Speaker 1: to say that again, you know?
- 19:14Speaker 2: Yes.
- 19:16Speaker 1: We have a guest in studio. Alfred Robles is here.
- 19:23Speaker 1: Alfred Robles, LOL Live. It's on Hulu. It's out tomorrow.
- 19:28Speaker 3: Let's go.
- 19:28Speaker 1: At Alfred Robles on Instagram or all the social media,
- 19:32Speaker 1: I guess. Is it all the same on all the
- 19:33Speaker 1: different platforms?
- 19:34Speaker 5: All the same.
- 19:35Speaker 2: Wow.
- 19:35Speaker 1: You did it right. Menace always gets mad at people
- 19:37Speaker 1: who don't do it that way.
- 19:38Speaker 2: They have numbers in there and stuff.
- 19:39Speaker 1: AlfredRobles.com. Underscores.
- 19:42Speaker 3: Yeah, man.
- 19:44Speaker 1: By the way, thank you for coming in.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Thank you guys for having me, man.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I'm jumping right into the plugs and talking about the
- 19:49Speaker 1: special and everything. So this LOL Live, this is like
- 19:51Speaker 1: a Kevin Hart thing, right?
- 19:53Speaker 3: It is. It's a Kevin Hart production. I'm happy, man.
- 19:56Speaker 3: This is my first special.
- 19:57Speaker 1: See, I find that interesting.
- 19:59Speaker 3: Right? Me too.
- 20:03Speaker 1: Like, how has this only happened now?
- 20:05Speaker 3: Well, I filmed one six months ago. That's my hour special.
- 20:09Speaker 3: And then I filmed this one after. This was my
- 20:11Speaker 3: first one that's going to be out there.
- 20:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 20:13Speaker 1: Anybody not familiar with Alfred Robles, man. Funny, funny dude, man.
- 20:16Speaker 1: And this is your first time here on the show.
- 20:18Speaker 1: We're happy to have you. Menace and I ran into
- 20:20Speaker 1: Alfred at the airport. We were headed out somewhere and,
- 20:24Speaker 1: you know, ended up on the same flight. It's like, dude, yeah.
- 20:27Speaker 1: How have you never been here before? Have you never
- 20:29Speaker 1: had the special?
- 20:30Speaker 3: Welcome. Thank you. Thank you for having me, man.
- 20:32Speaker 2: And you've been killing it, dude, across the country with
- 20:35Speaker 2: your tours. It's been awesome to see.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Yeah, let me tell you about it. Vatos with gatos.
- 20:39Speaker 1: Anybody needs a translation on that? It's dudes with cats, right?
- 20:44Speaker 3: Dudes with cats. Nothing wrong with that.
- 20:47Speaker 1: So you're a cat guy? I am.
- 20:48Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 20:50Speaker 3: How? I have five cats. Why? Five cats inside and
- 20:54Speaker 3: six cats outside.
- 20:56Speaker 2: What?
- 20:57Speaker 1: Dude, your neighbors hate you. So many cats.
- 21:00Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 21:01Speaker 1: You're the cat guy?
- 21:02Speaker 3: I'm the cat guy, man.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Why cats?
- 21:04Speaker 3: That's rare. Dude, in 2015, I rescued my first cat,
- 21:07Speaker 3: and ever since then, I knew I was put in
- 21:09Speaker 3: this earth to help cats.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Really? I love that so much.
- 21:13Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 21:14Speaker 1: So it's not even part of, like, I'm a comedian,
- 21:15Speaker 1: I'm being funny, I'm a game of the cat.
- 21:17Speaker 3: Nah, I'm helping cats, bro.
- 21:18Speaker 1: You're super into it.
- 21:18Speaker 6: Okay.
- 21:19Speaker 3: And those six cats outside, I just left food for
- 21:21Speaker 3: them and water.
- 21:22Speaker 2: That's all you needed.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Do you think the cats.
- 21:25Speaker 4: have an emotional attachment to you? Because I contend they don't. Like,
- 21:29Speaker 4: I don't think they really, like, rub up against you
- 21:31Speaker 4: and love you.
- 21:31Speaker 3: Yeah, they're not like dogs where they love you, you know?
- 21:33Speaker 4: Like, they're kind of self-serving, you know what I mean?
- 21:35Speaker 3: And I'm cool with that.
- 21:36Speaker 1: Oh, really?
- 21:37Speaker 3: I'm cool with that, bro.
- 21:39Speaker 1: I'm cool with that.
- 21:39Speaker 3: As long as I know I'm cool with that, man.
- 21:42Speaker 3: But my cats will love me, though.
- 21:43Speaker 1: You don't have to.
- 21:44Speaker 5: Prove it, but do you know all of their names?
- 21:45Speaker 3: Yes.
- 21:46Speaker 4: Okay.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Yes, yes, yes. Go ahead, run them off. Chicken, Tulip, Canelo, Valentina,
- 21:52Speaker 3: and Leo.
- 21:52Speaker 2: All right.
- 21:53Speaker 3: Yeah. And the six cats that live outside, I have
- 21:56Speaker 3: no idea.
- 21:57Speaker 1: I'm just giving them food and water. Just to clarify,
- 21:59Speaker 1: not gay, right?
- 22:00Speaker 3: No, hell no.
- 22:02Speaker 7: You.
- 22:03Speaker 3: My cats or what?
- 22:04Speaker 1: You, not the cats. You, not the cats. So Sammy here,
- 22:09Speaker 1: she got a boyfriend last year. And this was a
- 22:12Speaker 1: single dude. With a cat.
- 22:15Speaker 3: And we're like, oh, questionable.
- 22:16Speaker 1: We're not, you know, I'm not sure.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Wait, and you turn out to be gay?
- 22:20Speaker 2: No.
- 22:21Speaker 4: No, that's just them.
- 22:23Speaker 8: That's their whole theory. If any single guy has a cat,
- 22:26Speaker 8: they're gay. But I know tons of single guys with cats.
- 22:29Speaker 8: And I don't think it's a big deal at all.
- 22:30Speaker 8: And they tell me no.
- 22:32Speaker 1: No, we don't know. Look, the odds are not really
- 22:34Speaker 1: like in your favor. They just say the jury's out. Yeah,
- 22:37Speaker 1: the jury's out.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Bro, there's nothing wrong with cats, man.
- 22:40Speaker 2: But have you been single with a cat?
- 22:43Speaker 6: Yes.
- 22:44Speaker 1: So you meet a woman and she finds out you
- 22:47Speaker 1: have 18,000 cats. What's the reaction? Well, when I was single,
- 22:49Speaker 1: I was only one cat.
- 22:54Speaker 3: Oh, okay. So then with my girlfriend now, she brought
- 22:57Speaker 3: three of her cats. Oh, she was already a cat.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Well, a cat man needs a cat lady.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:03Speaker 3: So then my cat passed away and then I rescued
- 23:05Speaker 3: two more cats. So that's how we got together.
- 23:07Speaker 8: And let me ask you, because I know this with
- 23:09Speaker 8: a lot of guys, is that they'll end up with
- 23:11Speaker 8: cats instead of dogs because they're less maintenance. And if
- 23:15Speaker 8: they're traveling and doing other stuff, it's easier to have
- 23:17Speaker 8: a cat than a dog. Is that why you went
- 23:19Speaker 8: for cats? Because you travel, you're a comedian or... Are
- 23:22Speaker 8: you actually a dog person or no?
- 23:24Speaker 3: No, I was never a dog person. I had dogs
- 23:26Speaker 3: when I was a kid, but it was like, I
- 23:27Speaker 3: don't know. I just feel like people like dogs because
- 23:31Speaker 3: they want attention and they're not getting the attention from
- 23:33Speaker 3: their girlfriend or their wife. So they need a dog
- 23:36Speaker 3: to come. You're so right. They want the dog to
- 23:39Speaker 3: come up to them and hug them and jump on them.
- 23:42Speaker 3: Cats get a bad rap, man. Yeah, yeah.
- 23:45Speaker 1: So why are cats better than dogs, though?
- 23:47Speaker 3: Because you don't have to walk them at 6 a.m.
- 23:48Speaker 3: to go use the restroom. You don't have to do
- 23:51Speaker 3: a lot of things, bro. They're chill. They're in the
- 23:54Speaker 3: litter box. You clean it and we're good, bro.
- 23:56Speaker 1: Sammy, tell Alfred what happened. Are you saying your cat now?
- 24:02Speaker 1: I mean, shouldn't I? I live with this cat. The
- 24:04Speaker 1: way she told the story, she goes, my cat. I go, wow,
- 24:08Speaker 1: my cat.
- 24:09Speaker 4: I think you've reached that point.
- 24:11Speaker 1: She's taken ownership. But Greg, I think you'll appreciate this.
- 24:14Speaker 8: The cat. brought a chipmunk into the house it was
- 24:18Speaker 8: still alive straight into the bedroom yeah and so as
- 24:21Speaker 8: soon as you know like proud wants to show you
- 24:23Speaker 8: oh very proud yes and so she drops the chipmunk
- 24:26Speaker 8: now the chipmunk runs what don't know where it is
- 24:30Speaker 8: my brother-in-law convinces me that it ran out.
- 24:32Speaker 3: On its own oh sure no it's still in your
- 24:34Speaker 3: house oh yeah it's still there somewhere.
- 24:36Speaker 8: Right so So a few hours later, we see the
- 24:38Speaker 8: cat trying to get up on the drapes in the bedroom.
- 24:41Speaker 8: So the chipmunk had climbed up to the top of
- 24:44Speaker 8: the drapes. Now we're trying to get this chipmunk down.
- 24:46Speaker 8: It flies across the room.
- 24:48Speaker 1: I watch it.
- 24:49Speaker 8: My whole head turns as this chipmunk flies across the
- 24:51Speaker 8: room and then disappears. I, again, have no clue.
- 24:54Speaker 1: Where this chipmunk is.
- 24:55Speaker 3: You still don't know?
- 24:55Speaker 2: It's loose in your house.
- 24:56Speaker 1: It's still there. Well, no, no.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Now I know.
- 24:59Speaker 8: So then five o'clock in the morning, I hear this
- 25:01Speaker 8: cat running all around, running all around the room.
- 25:04Speaker 1: And I'm like, it's got the chipmunk. It got the chipmunk.
- 25:06Speaker 2: And it did.
- 25:07Speaker 8: They were like trapped in. It was where the toilet is.
- 25:10Speaker 8: There's a separate door for the toilet. And I ended
- 25:12Speaker 8: up catching it, putting it outside.
- 25:14Speaker 7: Sammy!
- 25:14Speaker 1: I am getting the chipmunk.
- 25:16Speaker 5: That is amazing, but you're going to, you probably do
- 25:19Speaker 5: have rabies. And also, why are all these squirrels and
- 25:22Speaker 5: chipmunks always coming in?
- 25:23Speaker 2: I know.
- 25:23Speaker 1: I know.
- 25:24Speaker 3: No, I don't know.
- 25:24Speaker 1: She's like Snow White. I know.
- 25:26Speaker 2: I would have murdered that chipmunk so hard.
- 25:28Speaker 1: Alfred, did your cats bring any gifts?
- 25:30Speaker 3: No, because my cats don't go outside.
- 25:32Speaker 2: But the outdoor cats don't ever bring you presents?
- 25:34Speaker 3: Don't come inside.
- 25:35Speaker 1: I'm kind of thinking like, you know, so Alfred, for
- 25:37Speaker 1: those who don't know, Alfred does this thing at his shows.
- 25:40Speaker 1: It's called What Happened? And, you know, people have these
- 25:42Speaker 1: crazy stories, dude.
- 25:44Speaker 3: Oh, man.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Yeah, so you know those before?
- 25:47Speaker 3: I have no idea.
- 25:48Speaker 1: So how does that work? So at the show, do
- 25:50Speaker 1: you have somebody? Or you just pick somebody random?
- 25:52Speaker 3: No, it's all random people where I got to come
- 25:54Speaker 3: up with everything right there and then.
- 25:56Speaker 1: They're so good. So who's got a story?
- 26:00Speaker 3: So what I do is I do 45 to 50
- 26:02Speaker 3: minutes of material. And I tell them, I put the
- 26:04Speaker 3: lights up and I bring a tequila bottle. to make
- 26:06Speaker 3: them feel comfortable. And I say, hey, who has a
- 26:08Speaker 3: crazy story? Raise your hand and come up. And we're like,
- 26:11Speaker 3: we'll try to give you guys advice. Yeah, yeah. And
- 26:14Speaker 3: then I tell them, we're not going to judge you guys.
- 26:16Speaker 3: Just tell us what's going on. And then they just
- 26:18Speaker 3: open up to the craziest things ever, bro. Where I'm like,
- 26:21Speaker 3: why are you opening up to this? Why are you
- 26:23Speaker 3: telling people? This guy came up and he said his
- 26:25Speaker 3: wife shot him two times in the back.
- 26:27Speaker 1: What?
- 26:28Speaker 3: On accident. On accident.
- 26:31Speaker 2: On accident.
- 26:32Speaker 3: I'm like, wait, both times it was on accident? They're like, yeah,
- 26:34Speaker 3: because it was the same time. I'm like, oh. Oh,
