- 0:20SPEAKER_00: The momentum, it reveals the road ahead of you.
- 0:22SPEAKER_00: How many people are just stuck because they lack the ability to just understand that they're waiting for this perfect scenario?
- 0:35SPEAKER_00: All right, let's go.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: If you're tired, not feeling fit, tired, just not having a focus, tire, just not having the life that you deserve.

- 0:42SPEAKER_00: I'm Jason Yarussi.
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: Today let's just talk about that trap of just waiting for certainty.
- 0:46SPEAKER_00: You know how many people are just stuck because they lack the ability to just understand that they're waiting for this perfect scenario where they feel completely confident that everything's gonna work out.
- 0:57SPEAKER_00: And that they're waiting.
- 0:58SPEAKER_00: They're waiting for this certainty, waiting for this part of them that says, I am absolutely right, this will 100% work based on some proof that they have.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: However, the thing is that you have to go and take the action, right?
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: You need to know exactly how the business will succeed before you make the first call.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: No, you don't.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: You don't have to know that you're gonna lose 30 pounds before you start today's workout.
- 1:20SPEAKER_00: And you just want this proof.
- 1:21SPEAKER_00: You want the proof that the investment is gonna work out perfect before you study the deal.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: You want the perfect words before you have the conversation with that special someone or with someone who's uh you know in need in your family.
- 1:32SPEAKER_00: You do the research, you plan, you adjust the plan, you tell yourself you're being responsible, and sometimes you are, but sometimes planning becomes just you planning and planning and planning, and it's this sophistic sophisticated form of actually hiding.
- 1:46SPEAKER_00: Clarity, it doesn't always create this action.
- 1:48SPEAKER_00: Very often it's the action that creates the clarity.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: You know, there was this um story about a traveler, right?
- 1:54SPEAKER_00: That traveler was on this road at nighttime and he was walking through the mountains late at night, and all he had was this lantern in front of him, and it was unfamiliar.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: The sky was black, and all he carried, right, was this little light.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: It's a light that just reached out a few feet in front of him, and he just stopped and he looked around and understand that he couldn't see anywhere from a point of the distant village he was walking, and he was frustrated.
- 2:16SPEAKER_00: How am I gonna get there, right?
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: How am I supposed to get all the way there when this lantern just barely shows me a few feet in front of me?
- 2:23SPEAKER_00: And as he was traveling, this older traveler walked up from behind him and he heard the uh person who was traveling just constantly just ask himself this question, how am I gonna get there?
- 2:32SPEAKER_00: How is this gonna work out?
- 2:33SPEAKER_00: And he pointed to this small circle of light that was in front of him on the way.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: And he said, if you just walk to the edge of that light, eventually you're going to be at a destination.
- 2:42SPEAKER_00: You know, so many times we want the perfect path laid out in front of us.
- 2:44SPEAKER_00: We want to see everything where in fact you only seem need to have enough clarity to just take that next few steps.
- 2:50SPEAKER_00: I've learned many times that it's the first step that dictates whether or not I've gone in the right direction or the wrong direction or just slightly off the path.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: And when I see that, I can easily make the decisions of how to adjust accordingly to keep my process going.
- 3:04SPEAKER_00: You know, when I run a hundred-mile race before, you you stand at the beginning of a hundred-mile race thinking about a hundred miles, and that thought can just crush you.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: I finish it just, it's so daunting, so overwhelming.
- 3:16SPEAKER_00: And the distance is just so far away that your mind can't even just it can't calculate the climbs, the darkness, the weather, the pain, the uncertainty, right?
- 3:23SPEAKER_00: All those things that could go wrong.
- 3:25SPEAKER_00: And the only way to move forward is to shrink the race.
- 3:28SPEAKER_00: You got to get to that next A station, you got to reach the trail marker, you got to make it to the top of the climb.
- 3:32SPEAKER_00: And sometimes the goal is even smaller, right?
- 3:35SPEAKER_00: You got to take 10 more steps and then just take 10 more.
- 3:38SPEAKER_00: And then maybe you just got to get to the bridge.
- 3:40SPEAKER_00: Now we're gonna think, oh, this is lowering my standard.
- 3:43SPEAKER_00: No, it's not.
- 3:44SPEAKER_00: It's actually getting you out of the gate.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: It's going from zero to a hundred because before you had procrastinated in a sophisticated way of just thinking you're actually doing something by planning when in fact you never have planned to get started, where the action going just that one step is a hundred times more valuable in the long run.
- 3:59SPEAKER_00: That full distance completed is through a small series of just small controlled decisions.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: Now, when I look back at my race, that's what it was.
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: I was running a mini race constantly, completing the long distance overall, but battling out that five miles at a time.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Your life and a business, they just work the same way.
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: A huge goal because manageable when you stop carrying the weight of every future step and take responsibility for the one you're directly in front of.
- 4:25SPEAKER_00: Think about that, right?
- 4:26SPEAKER_00: The momentum, it reveals the road ahead of you.
- 4:28SPEAKER_00: You make the call and you learn what the customer actually needs.
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: You complete that workout and you understand what worked for your body and what didn't.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: You review the numbers and you discover that question you should always be asking.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: Now you start the difficult conversation and finally understand what the other person has been carrying.
- 4:44SPEAKER_00: We always want to manifest in our mind what would be that perfect scenario.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: Well, within that perfect scenario is you not understanding what is actually in need.
- 4:51SPEAKER_00: You couldn't attain that information while standing still.
- 4:54SPEAKER_00: That road, it reveals it itself because honestly, you've moved.
- 4:59SPEAKER_00: So you think about this, right?
- 5:00SPEAKER_00: First off, here's a simple way to put into practice today.
- 5:03SPEAKER_00: First, name the destination.
- 5:05SPEAKER_00: Where do you need to be?
- 5:06SPEAKER_00: Where be clear about exactly what you want.
- 5:08SPEAKER_00: Because honestly, if we don't know where we're going, well, then how do we expect to get there?
- 5:11SPEAKER_00: Do you need to improve your health, grow your company, repair the relationship, build financial freedom?
- 5:16SPEAKER_00: What is it that you actually need?
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: Second, you find that edge of light.
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: Ask yourself, what is the smallest meaningful step, meaningful action I can complete right now in the next 24 hours?
- 5:26SPEAKER_00: Not pretend action, right?
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: Not reorganizing your notes or just watching another YouTube video of how just magically to do it.
- 5:31SPEAKER_00: Choose something the process moves forward with the information you have.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: Third, move before you negotiate.
- 5:38SPEAKER_00: Put the action on the counter, can go just complete it, right?
- 5:41SPEAKER_00: It's that simple.
- 5:42SPEAKER_00: I'm gonna do this tomorrow.
- 5:43SPEAKER_00: Get up and do it.
- 5:44SPEAKER_00: It builds a case of comfort for you because now you know that you told yourself you're gonna do something and you carried through.
- 5:49SPEAKER_00: Motivation, yeah, it can come sometimes, but the decision made in advance is the strongest form of action.
- 5:55SPEAKER_00: Fourth, reassess your new position.
- 5:57SPEAKER_00: Okay, just like I said before, you've taken a step.
- 6:00SPEAKER_00: Are you on the right step?
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: Are you on the wrong step?
- 6:01SPEAKER_00: Are you somewhere in between?
- 6:03SPEAKER_00: Look again and you'll have more evidence of a wider view and a clearer next move.
- 6:07SPEAKER_00: And then just rinse and repeat.
- 6:09SPEAKER_00: That's your talent today.
- 6:10SPEAKER_00: Go out there, uncover what you need to do, take that first step, go and make it happen.
- 6:14SPEAKER_00: Live your 100.
- 6:16SPEAKER_00: Let's do this.
