- 0:15Speaker 1: Welcome back to Creek Gust. Today we are reading a
- 0:18story called I work at a summer camp called Camp
- 0:21oak Wood. Something weird is going.
- 0:23Speaker 2: On, which is coincidentally the thing you told me about
- 0:28how you discovered yourself in the seventh grade was at
- 0:32sixth grade. So this is.
- 0:34Speaker 1: I'm sure a very personal story for you, nice personal
- 0:36story for me from my nice summer camp experiences. Could
- 0:39you give us a bit of a background on our author,
- 0:42who's named Langster Underscore Gangster.
- 0:46Speaker 2: Yes, so Langster Gangster is the author of this story.
- 0:49The story came recommended by a couple people I believe.
- 0:52In our comments and on our slash No Sleep, the
- 0:56first part of the story has two point five thousand
- 1:00and up votes, so it looks like it was certainly
- 1:02adored by a lot of people. Funny enough, in comparison
- 1:04to that, our author doesn't seem to write a ton
- 1:08of stories, at least according to his subreddit. He doesn't
- 1:12have any posts linking off to a website or different
- 1:16places that he's writing, as opposed to a lot of
- 1:18authors we're familiar with. Instead, there is it looks like
- 1:22four or five stories across No Sleep in our slash
- 1:26Night tells and scary stories. There's a few other shorter
- 1:29ones mixed in, but he's only done a few large projects.
- 1:32And then he has three entries on our slash two
- 1:34sentence horror stories.
- 1:36Speaker 1: You have gotten you have got to read them. We
- 1:38have gotten to know.
- 1:39Speaker 2: I know I have to read them. But other than that,
- 1:42it doesn't seem like there's a ton of posts. And
- 1:44all of those were five years were from five years
- 1:47ago or further, and every single other post in the
- 1:51last five years.
- 1:52Speaker 1: It's about football.
- 1:55Speaker 2: It's all about it's all about the New Orleans Saints
- 1:59and the Pelicans. He post about basketball sub but he
- 2:02is just like he was like, yeah, this is lame.
- 2:05Speaker 1: I'm done with the whole. But what's the other When
- 2:07he goes to as well, it's very important.
- 2:10Speaker 2: Oh it's a channel call. So it's a sub reddit
- 2:12called r slash urinating Tree talking about one Oh oh yeah, okay.
- 2:18So he also posts a lot in r slash the
- 2:22Masked Singer.
- 2:26Speaker 1: And it's just just talking redd.
- 2:28Speaker 2: It's so weird because you can it's like, oh, let
- 2:31me find out more about this guy's riding, and you
- 2:33can see everything they've ever commented, all just laid out
- 2:38at once. So it's really into football, like.
- 2:41Speaker 1: That dude, that's so fucked up that you can't. Now
- 2:44you have two guys talking about he's just like I
- 2:46like talking about the Saints of the Mask singer like
- 2:48obsessively for years and years. And you know what good
- 2:53for him is where I say good for him.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Look, he's enjoying his life. He's having a great time
- 2:59at the We're just jerks coming along to make his day.
- 3:02Speaker 1: Well, i'll reab the two sentence horror and then that'll
- 3:06give us a nice that'll pull vaultage into the story.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Yes, so he has three entries to our slash two
- 3:11centence horror and they go I'm gonna read them chronologically. So, okay,
- 3:18I bought the most expensive pair of noise canceling headphones
- 3:21I could find. Despite how good they are supposed to be,
- 3:24I can still hear the voices. Okay, okay, there's their
- 3:32first one or second one. As I blew out the
- 3:34candles and my joyful relatives told me to make a wish.
- 3:37I did so silently. I couldn't say aloud that I
- 3:40wished for the abuse to stop. Then finally chills went
- 3:56down my spine as I made eye contact with the
- 3:58man who was staring at me through a window. Guess
- 4:01I won't be able to break into this house anymore.
- 4:05Speaker 1: You know what, I appreciate that one juice. This horror
- 4:09is just so fucking lame. It is. Yeah, you can't,
- 4:14you really fucking cannot.
- 4:18Speaker 2: They're cool in high school to be like, oh, set
- 4:20up punchline. Oh look at that, a set up punchline.
- 4:22Like they're cool when you're just getting into writing. But
- 4:24there's really, I mean, there's no way to make them compelling.
- 4:28It's it's because like there're those old well I think
- 4:30it was himming Way who had that what's it for
- 4:34cell baby shoes? Never worn that whole thing of some
- 4:37early American author. Oh so and it's like, oh, yeah,
- 4:39that's impactful and it's so short. So a bunch of
- 4:41people try to mimic that, and the thing that they
- 4:43just get across is impact, not severity of what made
- 4:46the original sentence so cool. But whatever, it's Look, I'm
- 4:51sure that will not relate to the actual writing day.
- 4:53This story we're reading today is very highly rated.
- 4:55Speaker 1: We have to give him credit because he had there
- 4:57was no creature involved in any of the two sentences.
- 5:00That's true.
- 5:01Speaker 2: I thought about throwing one in. I thought about ingons
- 5:04and be like. I looked at the man in the reflection.
- 5:07I suddenly realized.
- 5:08Speaker 1: That was the creatures.
- 5:12Speaker 2: My family, That's what I wished for my birthday. I
- 5:15couldn't tell them I wished for the creature.
- 5:17Speaker 1: It's been a second since we've had a nice campfire,
- 5:21like a camping, like a like an actual Have we
- 5:24done any that are like campground stories, like summer camp stories?
- 5:30Have we done any of those? I don't think we have.
- 5:31Have we there?
- 5:33Speaker 2: I feel like we've gotten closed some of them, like
- 5:37Spire in the Woods had like campfire moments. So this
- 5:40is like.
- 5:40Speaker 1: Actual Camp oak Wood. It's gonna be like an actual
- 5:43summer camp.
- 5:44Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what we think. Well, no, knowing our luck,
- 5:47we're gonna get started with it. It'll be like Camp
- 5:49oak Wood was the nickname for a human trafficking ring
- 5:51in my small Yeah.
- 5:54Speaker 1: Yeah, what all right? Well, I mean I just say,
- 5:58let's let's dump let's jump in to it. It looks
- 6:01like this one is five parts, so everyone buckle in
- 6:05and let's let's read. I work in a summer camp,
- 6:08cold Camp Oakwood something weird is going on.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Also, thank you guys so much for the support that
- 6:15you've been showing us on audio platforms like Spotify. Continue
- 6:18to show support over there. Not only do we have
- 6:21Spotify rankings now, we also have a YouTube chart. Now
- 6:24Hunter and me and you are fifteenth in the world,
- 6:27or at least in the US. I think on.
- 6:28Speaker 1: YouTube, you know what, it's not just us, it's us
- 6:32and our amazing fucking YouTube audience. I want to sincerely
- 6:34say you guys show so much support not only on YouTube, Spotify,
- 6:39Apple podcasts, all that shit. It really does help and
- 6:41it's made obvious, an obvious impact to where even you know,
- 6:44YouTube has asked us to could you make a comment
- 6:47on it? And it's really funny seeing the top fifteen
- 6:50and then for some reason, yeah, there's just like and
- 6:52there's the guys who read creepy pastas. So it's kind
- 6:56of funny that that's there. But I just want to
- 6:58say thank you so much for that, guys. It's awesome. Also,
- 7:00can I read the first sentence of this, it's like
- 7:02the it's the ad in the in the bold.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Yes, hold on real quick. I just just to give
- 7:09an update so we can let people know. We are
- 7:11fifteenth on YouTube and we are nineteenth on Spotify, So
- 7:14I think we've effectively killed Ben Shapiro on both, which
- 7:17was our goal from the get go. That and I'll
- 7:21talk to is gone, not even.
- 7:24Speaker 1: From mark my words from the ashes, she will rise
- 7:27like a phoenix.
- 7:33Speaker 3: Really thought I was done.
- 7:35Speaker 4: I'm just getting started.
- 7:36Speaker 2: Baby, I'm I'm just glad I didn't have to kill myself.
- 7:42Speaker 1: That's true. That was a thing. Well, we'd never know,
- 7:44is the thing. So I'm glad the gun has always lood.
- 7:47Speaker 2: All right, Okay, sure h Here you go ahead, get
- 7:51into the story. Read the introm Here we.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Go work at cam Oakwood looking for maintenance staff. No
- 7:57experience needed.
- 7:59Speaker 2: The ad stuck out like a sore thumb on the
- 8:00wall at a coffee shop. I frequented. It was also new,
- 8:03given that I was at the coffee shop the previous
- 8:05day and the poster wasn't there. At the time, I
- 8:08was unemployed and living at home with my parents. Every
- 8:11time I would go to yes.
- 8:13Speaker 1: I understand, that's that's you. That's Isaiah.
- 8:15Speaker 2: Oh, I'm unemployed in living at home with my parents.
- 8:18Speaker 1: Yeah, looking up government cheese and stuff like that in
- 8:21your parents makesman.
- 8:24Speaker 2: No, that didn't. That definitely wasn't. The first three years
- 8:28I was on YouTube out know what you're talking about.
- 8:32I was unemployed and living at home with my parents,
- 8:34So every time I would go to the coffee shop,
- 8:36I would browse the wall in search of jobs I
- 8:38could possibly obtain. Of course, there wouldn't be any big
- 8:42pain jobs available, but I hoped there would be something appealing.
- 8:46And in the middle of that wall was that poster
- 8:48about a summer camp located many hours away from home.
- 8:51I don't know why I piqued my interest, though it
- 8:53was probably the aspect of me being able to get
- 8:55away from home. A job that would let me live
- 8:58somewhere without my folks sounded luxurious to me. It also
- 9:02paid decently well, so after thinking over it a bit
- 9:05while sipping my coffee, I decided to take the poster
- 9:07off the wall and bring it home.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Shop allowed that. Of course, I.
- 9:11Speaker 2: Wasn't going to steal anything I wasn't allowed to take.
- 9:14As I walked out the coffee shop, I noticed a
- 9:16blondhaired lady staring at me from the opposite side of
- 9:18the street. Once I noticed her, we stared at each
- 9:21other for a few more seconds. Then she began walking away.
- 9:25Found it odd and a little creepy, but didn't harp
- 9:28on it, and walked home. I arrived home and watched
- 9:31TV for a few hours. After bemage watching a show,
- 9:34I decided to call the phone number on the poster.
- 9:37After a few rings, someone picked up. Hello. A female
- 9:41voice said.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Hi, is this Camp Oakwood Er?
- 9:45Speaker 3: Yes, this is Are you calling to day to register
- 9:47your child as a member.
- 9:49Speaker 1: Oh no, I'm actually calling about your ad looking for employees.
- 9:52I wanted to apply as a janitor.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Oh are online ad?
- 9:56Speaker 1: No? It was a poster and a coffee shop in
- 9:58my town.
- 10:00Speaker 3: We don't put them any ads, but it puts them
- 10:02up from time to time.
- 10:04Speaker 2: She then ask me for my phone number, email, and
- 10:06asked a few questions. I told her basic information about myself.
- 10:10After answering them, she told me when I would need
- 10:12to show up to start working. I was confused and
- 10:15asked her what she.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Meant, Yeah, you're hired. We need people.
- 10:20Speaker 1: Wait so I don't need to do a background check
- 10:22or something like that.
- 10:24Speaker 3: No, I believe everything he told me. You're hired.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Okay, that's fucked. After I can't pull like with children
- 10:32stuff nope, that's You're good to go.
- 10:35Speaker 2: I love no need to check that. I love you,
- 10:40no need to check that or anything. They're definitely feeding
- 10:42people to something. If I had to guess, that's my
- 10:47that's my bear trap that I'm gonna play. Where's that
- 10:49card at? So I'm playing I'm playing this for what
- 10:53is it too damage or whatever? I'm playing this that
- 10:57they they they want to kill him in the sacrifice
- 11:00or feed him to something or something like that. So
- 11:01that'll go right there.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like sacrificial names and camps always are.
- 11:05They're they're fun. I hope it goes there. I love it.
- 11:07Very sacrificial thing.
- 11:09Speaker 2: Mm hmm, yeah, you love sacrificing people. That's it's similar
- 11:12to what happened to you in the seventh grade. If
- 11:14I recalled correctly, that's true. After a few seconds of shock,
- 11:18I became a static.
- 11:20Speaker 1: That's great. When do I start?
- 11:22Speaker 3: You will need to come in May twenty six for
- 11:24orientation slash training, and the first camp will start the
- 11:26following week. The camp has six one week sessions and
- 11:29you'll be working each one. It'll be one of our
- 11:31four janitorial maintenance employees and I'm your overhead boss. But
- 11:35your supervisor will be Graham. He's the head of the
- 11:38maintenance staff.
- 11:39Speaker 1: Cool. Thank you for hiring me.
- 11:42Speaker 3: You're absolutely welcome. I believe you'll do a great job.
- 11:45If you have any more questions, you know where to
- 11:47contact me. Welcome to the Oakwood family.
- 11:50Speaker 2: Just as she was about a handcuf I realized I
- 11:51hadn't even given my name. During the entirety of the
- 11:54questioning and introductions, we both had not given our names.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Wait, I never got your name.
- 11:59Speaker 3: Oh shit, yeah, sorry, my name's Amy Garlinia.
- 12:03Speaker 2: Garlinia, Garlinia, Garlana Arlena.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Have the think Garleana.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Oh shit, yeah, sorry, my name is Amy Garlinia and
- 12:12I'm the camp director.
- 12:13Speaker 1: Okay, my name is Harrison Tracy.
- 12:16Speaker 2: I then heard a thump and her gasp in pain.
- 12:20Speaker 3: You all right, Yeah, I'm good, just banging my elbow
- 12:23on my desk. Can't wait to meet you, Harrison, see
- 12:26you soon.
- 12:30Speaker 2: Hi. My name's Harrison.
- 12:32Speaker 1: Listen, buddy, you're already high. I don't give a shit
- 12:34what your name is. Just clean the diarrhea of the
- 12:36bottom of the bottom of the stalls.
- 12:39Speaker 2: It's funny to imagine that, like because obviously there's the
- 12:42front going on, and she forgot to ask his name,
- 12:45and the frustration, she just slammed her head on the desk.
- 12:49Speaker 1: Yeah, bust her teeth out. I gotta go. Do you
- 12:53think someone was there? Well, let me ask you. Do
- 12:55you think someone was there and like fucking like hit
- 12:57her or something like that?
- 12:58Speaker 2: I think it depends on what the monster. Yeah, I
- 13:01think it depends on what the monster happening behind the
- 13:03scenes is m.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Gargle creature walking around goods, the cots, so the children.
- 13:15Speaker 2: It's standing behind her and when she forgets to ask,
- 13:18it slams her head on the tables. Pong. I hung
- 13:24up the phone with mixed emotions. Well, grateful that I
- 13:27found a job. I found it perplexing that I was
- 13:29hired so quickly. I figured there was more to it,
- 13:32but at the moment I was just too grateful and
- 13:35excited to really worry about it. That night, I told
- 13:38my parents about my new job. My mom was thrilled
- 13:41to hear that I would finally have a good pain job,
- 13:44but my dad practically spat out his food.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Curtis, eat you okay, Yeah, I'm fine, honey.
- 13:50Speaker 2: He said, grabbing a napkin to clean his mouth.
- 13:53Speaker 1: You're working at Camp oak Wood. Yeah, it pays really well,
- 13:57and I heard it's an easy job. Sorry for my reaction, Harrison,
- 14:00I haven't heard that name in a long time. That's
- 14:03because I worked there myself many years ago as a counselor.
- 14:06Speaker 2: Really, I asked him to what she nodded. I proceeded
- 14:09to ask him some questions, but he seemed very hesitant
- 14:12to answer them. After failing to get anything, went back
- 14:15to my room. Later that night, I heard my parents
- 14:17talking in their bedroom. They were trying to whisper, but
- 14:20I could still hear a decent amount of their conversation.
- 14:23Speaker 1: He can't go that's the place I told you about.
- 14:26We don't know, that's what it is. The camp started
- 14:28long before he was born. Nothing's gonna happen, and if
- 14:31something does, he can handle himself. After all, he has before.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Well what on earth is he handled before? So well?
- 14:38Speaker 1: Yeah, I know, Like, what are you talking about?
- 14:40Speaker 4: The guy?
- 14:40Speaker 1: He's like, he's a god damn it, Carol, there's a
- 14:43seven foot tall demon walking around. He hasn't done that.
- 14:47She's like, of course he has. Remember when he was
- 14:49a baby, he fought those before. Exactly. Harrison is just
- 14:52like in his bed with the covers over him, like
- 14:54blankly looking up at the ceiling. I don't remember any
- 14:57of that. When did I do that?
- 15:02Speaker 2: Yeah? Down the hallway his parents. His dad's like, we
- 15:05can't make him fight the dark Lord. Baltimore's too powerful,
- 15:08and his mom's like, but he's the boy who lived.
- 15:10Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly, remember when he adopted him and he had
- 15:13those horns. Mom.
- 15:21Speaker 2: We named him Harrison because it sounds like Harry, and
- 15:23he doesn't actually know that he's that This camp is
- 15:27actually what's the name of the school from the Harry
- 15:30Potter Bugs? Hogwarts? Yeah, Camp Hogwarts. He has to fight
- 15:34the dark Lord. Yeah. They went back and forth for
- 15:37a while. Honestly, I had no clue what they were
- 15:40talking about. I guess my dad must have had some
- 15:42bad memories from that place or something. Should he should
- 15:46clarify your perceptive?
- 15:50Speaker 1: Yeah, I didn't know. He was crying and hitting walls,
- 15:52but I just went back to bed.
- 15:54Speaker 2: My dad was talking about how my dad was talking
- 15:59about how I can't go to camp and how he
- 16:02has all these dark memories. I think something's up. I
- 16:05think he's putting two and two together.
- 16:07Speaker 1: That's just dad when he drinks a big bottle of scotch,
- 16:09he looks funny.
- 16:13Speaker 2: Keeps talking about all those camp counselors that used to
- 16:15be really good friends with him for some reason.
- 16:17Speaker 1: Yeah, they read wrote a bunch of scriptures with a
- 16:19knife on his skin, just silly times back then during camp.
- 16:24Speaker 2: That Oh Camp oak Wood, that's where the Bible verses
- 16:27came from.
- 16:27Speaker 1: That's right.
- 16:28Speaker 2: But my dad can't quit quoting in his sleep. That
- 16:31makes sense, that's right.
- 16:32Speaker 1: That's why Daddy talks in tongues in his sleep.
- 16:41Speaker 2: So your dad sets him snoring, Oh, Camp Oakwood. That
- 16:49explains the pagan every night.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Every night, his mom hangs herself in the room. She's
- 16:55like hanging there, and the dad's like eyes wide open, sleeping.
- 17:03You guys, guys would have played Donkey Konga in my room.
- 17:09You guys would played double Dash in my room. Yeah,
- 17:13I saw him with my dad's My dad's a real
- 17:15light sleeper, so I've been quiet in the other room.
- 17:18You just here. That's I imagine you were raised just
- 17:26like I wish that was how I was raised to
- 17:28be sick. Yeah, my dad has a lot of funny
- 17:32friends that exist in the shadows, Like what Yeah, those
- 17:36are shadow friends.
- 17:39Speaker 2: If I get too close, it burns. Yeah.
- 17:46Speaker 1: I can't touch my dad because it hurts my soul.
- 17:51I try.
- 17:52Speaker 2: I try to wake my dad up when he gets
- 17:54like this, but every time I too, my vision gets
- 17:56blurry and my heart hurts.
- 17:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm go into I go into a state of
- 18:02nflic shock or whatever the fuck it is.
- 18:03Speaker 5: You're nephylactic shock.
- 18:05Speaker 2: When the time came, I packed up my stuff, told
- 18:07my parents could buy, and headed off to Campokewood.
- 18:10Speaker 1: Oh woo.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Amy told me I'd be living in a two story
- 18:13housing wing located about fifty yards away from the main camp.
- 18:16There are four apartments, two on each floor. Two or
- 18:19three employees would live in each one. The counselors would
- 18:22be sleeping in the cabins with the campers, so that
- 18:25left the nurses, cooks, and maintenance staff inside the wink.
- 18:28There were eleven of us, three nurses, four cooks, and
- 18:31four janitors, so I had a quarter chance of getting
- 18:34a two person apartment. I didn't really care, but I
- 18:37crave privacy, so I was hoping for the best option.
- 18:39I must have been lucky because I got the two
- 18:41person room. When I arrived, someone was inside unpacking. He
- 18:45was a pretty young guy, maybe a bit older than me.
- 18:48I'm twenty one but very muscular. Made my way in
- 18:52to introduce myself.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Hey, I'm Harrison Julio. Nice to meet you. I guess
- 18:57you're my roommate. I'm new here, so I don't know
- 18:59who else is here besides you and Amy.
- 19:02Speaker 2: Julio chuckled and then said same.
- 19:04Speaker 1: At least I'm not alone. Now, what about what.
- 19:07Speaker 2: About his name makes you apply that accent?
- 19:10Speaker 1: Julio? Is Julio not like a kind of like Julio?
- 19:14Speaker 2: Same? I don't know where you're getting that.
- 19:15Speaker 1: At least I thought he was a Spanish.

- 20:56It really doesn't mean the most And we are back
- 20:58to the episode. Before I could speak again, I heard
- 21:03someone walk in. I turned to see a large, older
- 21:06dude with the Santa Claus style beard and tended glasses.
- 21:09Julio Harrison, he said, his deep voice bellowing. We both said, yeah,
- 21:15I'm Graham. I'm in charge of you guys. I just
- 21:18wanted to come by and introduce myself. Oh well, nice
- 21:21to meet you and you guys as well, Graham said.
- 21:24He then pointed to a guy pulling things out of
- 21:26a white truck before introducing him as Carson, fourth and
- 21:29final maintenance worker. Carson just waved to us and continued
- 21:32on what we were doing.
- 21:34Speaker 1: Do we start work today? No, but I'll be showing
- 21:37you around basically what you'll be doing and the like.
- 21:40I'll be next door to you all with Carson the
- 21:42hook and one of the cooks. I'll come back in
- 21:44about half an hour.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Like you said, Graham returned thirty minutes later.
- 21:47Speaker 1: All right, guys, follow me.
- 21:50Speaker 2: Accompanying Graham was Carson. Now closer I could get a
- 21:53better look at him. He was old as well, but
- 21:55skinny and bald. He didn't say anything or acknowledge us
- 21:58in the slightest, so I assume he wasn't a social butterfly.
- 22:01Graham led us to a large golf cart and we
- 22:03all hopped in. As we drove off, Graham began speaking, Okay,
- 22:08so our job.
- 22:09Speaker 1: Is pretty basic. We clean every building three times a week,
- 22:13taking out the trash, dusting the rooms, and getting rid
- 22:16of any infestations. We also take care of the nature aspects,
- 22:19so lawn care, trees, et cetera. The last day of
- 22:22each session is a party day, so we also set
- 22:25up decorations, props, and the other kiddie stuff.
- 22:28Speaker 2: You went on about how we clean the cabins. We
- 22:30have to make sure we put every bag and piece
- 22:32of furniture back in place. We also had to keep
- 22:35an eye out for wild animals, as they could be
- 22:37dangerous at the campers.
- 22:39Speaker 1: So a jenitor's maintenance staff and security.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Guards, Julio said jokingly, basically.
- 22:49Speaker 1: You showed, said Graham said, before.
- 22:52Speaker 2: Bellowing, all yeah, I think I think it's funnier if
- 22:54I don't actually if that was just if that was
- 22:58just your interpretation of the character. Basically, he showed us
- 23:06several of the activity areas during our drive. There was
- 23:09an archery station, a swimming pool, the lake with a
- 23:12large rope swing, a playground, an open field basketball court,
- 23:15singing volleyball court, and a rec center with ping pong tables,
- 23:19air hockey and a foosball table. There's also a small
- 23:21building that Graham said was a chapel, but he said
- 23:24it was never used and we wouldn't need to worry
- 23:26about it.
- 23:27Speaker 1: Red flag.
- 23:28Speaker 2: What of the chapel? Yeah, no one goes in there,
- 23:32don't touch it.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Yeah, we have pink pong, foosball four arcade. That's a
- 23:36seven thousand year old church. If we don't ever deal
- 23:39with so, don't even look in there. It's fine. We
- 23:44actually don't know who builds it. And no one can
- 23:46read the riding on the door exactly with unbreakable seal,
- 23:52and if you get.
- 23:52Speaker 2: Too close to it, it's talks to you.
- 23:54Speaker 1: He speaks real weird. I'm still surprised Amy was able
- 23:58to get this situated just two years ago. What do
- 24:01you mean we had to move camps three years ago
- 24:03because the city bought us.
- 24:05Speaker 2: Out, Graham said, knowing he had to explain now, since
- 24:08I'd heard him.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Imminente Demaine, why did they buy it out?
- 24:11Speaker 2: Don't know, I thought of His response was odd, but
- 24:14I didn't ask anything. Afterwards, after driving around some more,
- 24:18Graham took us to the main launch. The counselors were
- 24:21already there and the cooks were in the kitchen cooking dinner.
- 24:23Graham told us to mingle with the new counselors so
- 24:25we could at least know who we would be working
- 24:28with for the next seven weeks. Julio and I split
- 24:30off to meet the others individually. Most of the counselors
- 24:33were teenagers, with only a few being about my age
- 24:35and some being older than that. However, I was immediately
- 24:39made very uncomfortable by the ones I met. Every time
- 24:42I would introduce myself, they would just stare in astonishment
- 24:45at me. It was as if they were staring at
- 24:47an elite celebrity making a surprise appearance. Some of them
- 24:51would even walk up to me and just stare not
- 24:53saying the thing. After being made thoroughly uncomfortable, I went
- 24:57into the bathroom and hid until it was time to
- 24:59eat down. I sat in the far back corner of
- 25:02the room wait from everyone else. However, even as I ate,
- 25:06I still fell the eyes on me. After we ate
- 25:09our food, Amy got in front of the room and
- 25:12began to speak. It was actually then that I finally
- 25:15saw her in person. She was a middle aged woman,
- 25:17maybe my parents' age, with gray streaked black hair wrapped
- 25:20in a ponytail, and a face that matched her age.
- 25:23She told us that she was glad we had decided
- 25:26to work or return to work for the camp, and
- 25:28that she was excited for another great summer. After speaking
- 25:32for a few more minutes, we were dismissed for the night.
- 25:34I ended up staying back to talk to Amy about
- 25:36the counselor who's acting weird around me?
- 25:38Speaker 1: Well, you and Julio are are the only new employees
- 25:41this summer. We usually don't get that many new employees,
- 25:44so they're probably just surprised to see someone new. But
- 25:47whatever I said my name, that's when they begin to
- 25:49act weird.
- 25:51Speaker 2: She just looked at me, not saying a word what.
- 25:55Speaker 1: Nothing. Look, just don't worry about it. If you're still uncomfortable,
- 25:59go back to your part. Oh that would that would
- 26:03that would fuck me up? Kid me like, huh, I
- 26:08don't yeah, I don't know. It's do you think that
- 26:10there's some kind of level of.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Like anytime I said the name Harrison, all of the
- 26:15adults look at me weird, and she's just yeah, all.
- 26:18Speaker 1: The kids just like roll their eyes back and they
- 26:20fent flop right in front of me.
- 26:22Speaker 2: The uh the the okay, hold on, let me just
- 26:26call this out real quick. I made the joke earlier
- 26:28about this being Harry Potter. This is literally the plot
- 26:32of Harry Potter of the first movie. Their dad, his
- 26:37dad and mother was experienced to some evil and he
- 26:40was left with his parents. And now he goes to
- 26:42the school or camp that they're from, and when they
- 26:44get there, everyone who knows his name is dumb struck
- 26:46by it because he is like the boy of legend
- 26:49that do you.
- 26:49Speaker 1: Think that his that it's like, oh, this is like
- 26:52the son that was meant to return kind of thing.
- 26:55Speaker 2: I think so I think that's what it means.
- 26:57Speaker 1: Yeah, surely, I mean it's a dad or he knows
- 26:59that too. That makes sense because at first I was like, oh,
- 27:01if the parents had never heard of it, then maybe
- 27:03it was like, oh, they bringing new new employees and
- 27:05then they sacrifice them. But I'm guessing that maybe it is.
- 27:08Maybe it's something where it's like, oh, you know this
- 27:10is the camp I told you about because I met
- 27:12you anything. The dad too, was like, I never told you,
- 27:14but I have a demon that lives in me, almost
- 27:16like Naruto style. It's it's Narutu's Wwauky's dad.
- 27:20Speaker 2: Yes, sure, or like there there's some reason the dad
- 27:22knew his son had.
- 27:23Speaker 1: To go back. Yeah, the reason, whatever reason. But yeah,
- 27:26I mean you're you're kind of right though. It has
- 27:28that like almost mysticism of like, oh we've we've heard
- 27:30of him, and they're not they're not fully letting him
- 27:33in on what's going on.
- 27:34Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, yeah, just staring's so funny though, like what
- 27:39a Harrison? What with that? She walked away. I was
- 27:43so confused and actually a little concerned, but I decided
- 27:46to give her the benefit of the doubt. I decided
- 27:49when her eyes rolled back at her head and she
- 27:50started floating in front of me that you know, maybe
- 27:52she does that maybe she was right, the counselors might
- 27:55be just really weird people. I walked back by myself
- 27:59to my apartment, but as I was passing the chapel,
- 28:02something caught my eye. I walked up the stoop and
- 28:06looked through the window on the door. Inside there was
- 28:09a small light flickering at the far end of the room.
- 28:12See the outline of someone kneeling on the ground. They're
- 28:14back facing me. I knelt down and put my ear
- 28:17up to the door to listen. I began to hear whispering,
- 28:20dear Savior, I.
- 28:22Speaker 1: Have discarded and I will do it. This is what
- 28:25you wanted. I'm so excited to meet you.
- 28:29Speaker 2: I then began to hear crying, but not of paint
- 28:32or desmaar. Rather, it was crying of joy. Then he
- 28:36began whispering again.
- 28:38Speaker 6: We won't let you down.
- 28:39Speaker 1: I won't let you down. We'll hopeit peace soon. Fuck that.
- 28:48Speaker 2: Dude.
- 28:48Speaker 1: On day one, I'm just I would leave. Are you
- 28:54kidding me?
- 28:55Speaker 2: You gotta get out of there, absolutely you have Fuck
- 28:58Fuck that dude. Fun that creeped out. I decided it
- 29:02was time to go. But when I got up and
- 29:05looked inside again, I nearly pissed myself. Figure was now
- 29:08right against the door looking out the window. Oh my god,
- 29:10staring at me with an angry look on his face.
- 29:14I recognized it to be Carson.
- 29:16Speaker 1: Oh my god, it's even one of the other boys.
- 29:19Fuck that dude. Yeah, hey, so Carson. I know he's
- 29:23being kind of weird, but he was just crying and
- 29:25laughing hysterically, basically talking about death in the chapel that
- 29:28you said no one should be around. There's day one, Isaiah,
- 29:32day one. I bet you know what I think.
- 29:37Speaker 2: It's it's fine that normally happens whenever I come over
- 29:41to your place. You come into the room and I'm
- 29:42on the ceiling praying, you know.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Yeah every time, every time, and then and then every
- 29:47time I like try to bite a sandwich without saying grace,
- 29:49Isaiah punches the table really hard and breaks his knuckles
- 29:52and he says wait wait, and then he uh yeah,
- 29:56just says his prayers whatever, and then we're allowed to go,
- 29:58and he just smears blood blood over my waltz and
- 30:00I'm like, hey, buddy, could you mind fucking cleaning it up?
- 30:03You psychopath? He's like, we.
- 30:07Speaker 2: Went out to a barbecue place, last time I was there,
- 30:09and you know, my food just to his table set
- 30:11like bound my head real quick, and Hunter just goes.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Ew gross, I did, I did, What are you doing?
- 30:18I did? This guy's a freak, I said, Galert, someone's gay.
- 30:25So that's why I said, uh, oh, lame o. So
- 30:30I said, oh, you got a loser here, everyone loser.
- 30:37Speaker 2: We're about to show this guy what religious persecution really
- 30:39looks like. Come on, everyone, let's get around and make
- 30:41fun of him.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Yeah, no, no, no, I will say. I will say
- 30:47if the roommate with the old man and a cook
- 30:50I haven't met yet was bowing down whispering like this,
- 30:54I would you be gone. I mean I would be.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Gone, oh instantaneously.
- 30:59Speaker 1: This is day one usually in the stories for I
- 31:01gotta say this. I like that there he's just like,
- 31:03I'm not a fucking around. Day one. We're getting into
- 31:05it with starting. You have just had an orientation where
- 31:09also everyone is looking at you like a fucking freak,
- 31:12and now this is I mean, I'd be like, you
- 31:14know what, I don't think this six weeks like summer job,
- 31:18is really that worth it.
- 31:20Speaker 2: I think it's worth dying. Correct, Yeah, I agree, I agree,
- 31:23I bolted back to the apartment and was thankfully not
- 31:26followed by Carson. Once inside, I slammed the door behind me,
- 31:29scaring Julio have to death.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Is you good? Yeah, some dude just scared me on
- 31:35my way back, just popped out at me from the bushes.
- 31:38Speaker 2: I lied.
- 31:39Speaker 1: Probably one of those concerts. Huh, that's not funny. Wait,
- 31:44how did you find out? I could see how uncomfortable
- 31:46you are. Plus I couldn't help but notice that they
- 31:49were constantly staring at you. How do you like this?
- 31:51Kind of like little bit time. I'm not gonna lie.
- 31:54It feels very it feels very very good. I'm not
- 31:57gonna lie. I can see how uncomfortable. I can see
- 32:00how uncomfortable you are.
- 32:02Speaker 7: I couldn't help but notice that they were constantly looking
- 32:05at you.
- 32:05Speaker 1: Mane for.
- 32:08Speaker 2: That feels gonna be It's gonna be so funny. But
- 32:11in a bit, it's like, Yeah, I'm from Baltimore.
- 32:14Speaker 1: His name's Julio. He could have a Spanish accent.
- 32:19Speaker 2: I mean he can, but it's just funny to imagine
- 32:21that he's like third generation American completely.
- 32:26Speaker 1: Maybe he is, and he's still talks like this. It's
- 32:30a character I'm acting. Also, why would he not tell
- 32:39him though about the Carson thing.
- 32:42Speaker 2: I mean, he doesn't know what he saw yet.
- 32:44Speaker 1: This guy heard her, heard his dad through the walls,
- 32:51run to the window.
- 32:53Speaker 2: His dad.
- 32:55Speaker 1: He hurt his dad down the hallway, being like.
- 32:57Speaker 2: I don't know if we could send it back, all
- 32:58the things. That's the place I talked, and he's like, huh, well,
- 33:00that's kind of weird. I guess I'll go to sleep now.
- 33:02Oh well, he is not putting anything together with this
- 33:07guy he just met. Absolutely not. Okay, that's fair, that's fair.
- 33:11I didn't respond and just went to our shared bedroom
- 33:13to go to sleep, only to wake up at an
- 33:15unknown time. I heard voices coming from outside my window.
- 33:19I peeked through the blinds to see Amy talking with
- 33:21Graham and Carson.
- 33:22Speaker 1: I'm telling you it's him, Amy said, And I discovered
- 33:25how to finally perform it. It's almost time. Look whether
- 33:30it's him or not, I don't care. He's still my
- 33:34employ and for all you know, he could be an
- 33:36innocent guy. Last thing we need is another innocent person
- 33:40being attacked by one of our employees. I'll make sure
- 33:43once again it's him. I haven't figured out how to
- 33:46do it yet, but I'll figure something out. I still
- 33:48a question why I will let you work here if
- 33:49you don't agree with our beliefs. You told me your
- 33:52reason when I was hired. Besides, you wouldn't be able
- 33:54to let me go without me being a threat to
- 33:56your safety.
- 33:57Speaker 2: They kept talking, but I stopped listening. Why horrified?
- 34:02Speaker 1: Why stop listening this guy? All you have to do
- 34:06is just be like, why don't we just talk directly
- 34:08outside of his window or door? And he just won't care,
- 34:13you know.
- 34:13Speaker 2: What I mean? But yeah, I feel like that's more
- 34:15so an issue in the writing side of it, because
- 34:18you could have had the three of them just walk
- 34:20away to where he can't hear them or something like that.
- 34:22Speaker 1: Yeah, but you know what, I like the intention of
- 34:25him just being I just stopped.
- 34:27Speaker 2: I just quit listening. I got bored. I didn't care anymore.
- 34:31It's like there's a there's been a couple instances of
- 34:34that where it's like just some interesting choices with the
- 34:38character where it's like when I got to camp, Graham
- 34:41was there. He said I'll be back in half an hour. Yeah,
- 34:44half an hour later he showed up and said, Okay,
- 34:46time for the tour instead of just being just going
- 34:49directly on the tour. It's true, and so I think
- 34:54that's what I think that is. It's like, Okay, that's
- 34:56all the information now, and he's he's tired now, he's
- 35:01going to bed. Horrified, I quietly sauntered back to my
- 35:03bed and curled up in a ball under the blankets.
- 35:06Julio thankfully didn't wake up from me moving around. Somehow
- 35:09I managed to fall back asleep and woke up the
- 35:11next morning. At breakfast, I was eating my food when
- 35:14I noticed that ten of the counselors at another table
- 35:17were again taking glances at me. Every few seconds, one
- 35:20of them would look my way. At that point, I
- 35:22had enough and walked over in confront of.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Them, What do you want? None of them responded, Really,
- 35:29you stare at me, and when confronted, you have nothing
- 35:31to say, or they.
- 35:32Speaker 2: Even got to say anything. Felt someone grabbed my shoulder.
- 35:35Turned to see Amy looking at me with a stern
- 35:37look on her face.
- 35:38Speaker 1: What's going on here? These guys have been staring at
- 35:41me for the last ten minutes, and I asked him
- 35:43what the problem was, but they refused to answer me.
- 35:46Speaker 2: She sighed before speaking again.
- 35:49Speaker 1: I'll deal with them. Sit back down and eat. I
- 35:51don't need any more shit started because of you, Harrison.
- 35:54How is this my fault?
- 35:56Speaker 2: I asked her, only to get no response as she
- 35:57walked away. I'd had enough and to I had to
- 36:00throw my food away and walk back toward my apartment.
- 36:03D In my walk, I passed by the chapel again.
- 36:05Given that it was now daytime, I decided to get
- 36:07a better look at this place. As I looked around
- 36:10the room, I saw a large painting of a man.
- 36:13Man was pretty tall, his body stocky and built. He
- 36:17appeared to be in his thirties, if not a little younger.
- 36:20He was shirtless, and in his left hand was a
- 36:22red book. Below the painting was a word in blue letters.
- 36:26I assumed it was a name, but I had never
- 36:29heard of the same before, said Sharino. I was so
- 36:33intrigued by the paint I didn't even notice someone had
- 36:35walked up to me. What are you doing, someone asked.
- 36:39I slowly turned to see Graham standing there just.
- 36:42Speaker 1: Looking in there. Oh okay, again, there's no point in
- 36:47going in there. Besides, I don't get their obsession with
- 36:51this guy. What are you talking about? The people here
- 36:53dedicate this entire place to the guy who the camp
- 36:56is named after. He's remembered as a hero. What did
- 37:00he do? War Hero? That's it? Yep? Now, come on,
- 37:06I want to show you the ship with all the
- 37:08loan equipment in it.
- 37:09Speaker 2: We walked off and he's still very feeling very weirded
- 37:12out by everything here. Camp hasn't even started yet, but
- 37:15I already regret coming here. What have I gotten myself into?
- 37:18Speaker 1: Okay, so this is the sacrifice thing I think is happening,
- 37:23or it's gonna be. They're trying to get this buff
- 37:25painting man.
- 37:26Speaker 2: To come back to life through the body others knew
- 37:29hire the war the war hero things so funny where
- 37:34it's like, oh, yeah, what he do? Hero?
- 37:38Speaker 1: That's it?
- 37:38Speaker 2: Yep?
- 37:39Speaker 1: Yeah, you want to see where the mowers are at?
- 37:42I'm not gonna lie uh with. The story is at
- 37:45least moving fast enough, and it's just kind of silly
- 37:47to where this. I'm actually having a pretty good time
- 37:49reading this one.
- 37:50Speaker 2: It is fun.
- 37:51Speaker 1: It's fun, but there's gotta be there's gotta be something
- 37:54the second part, second part though, that like get me
- 37:56into a little something. I like the whole the deal
- 37:58of look creepy man crouching whispering to himself, and then
- 38:02he like angrily looks through the glass, almost like a
- 38:04goosebump scene. I'm fucking with that. I hope that there's
- 38:07more weird culty stuff.
- 38:09Speaker 2: You know me.
- 38:10Speaker 1: I love culture.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Look, look, you you've got this habit with these stories
- 38:14where you expect things of them. You're like, Okay, this
- 38:17next part, I need this and this, I need this.
- 38:18Look if it's awful, I want to look back on
- 38:22it and be like, wow, that was a train wreck. Yeah.
- 38:25Or if it's great, I want to be like, I'm
- 38:26glad that we got so far. I wanted to take me.
- 38:30Speaker 1: It's written like it's written like an alien kind of
- 38:34has written it as if like tell me about human interactions.
- 38:38That's how all the interactions feel. I will say Harrison
- 38:41does read normal, but everybody else's dialogue does read very
- 38:45like almost stiff, intentionally stiff. Like Amy is very much
- 38:48just like oh here, well why don't you just do
- 38:50this and I will see you later? But you know,
- 38:52and Harrison's kind of like looking around, like what the
- 38:53fuck is going on? I would like Harrison more if
- 38:57if he just would take more interested in people talking
- 39:02six feet away from him and just like fucking listen
- 39:05to what they're saying. I got bored, so I just
- 39:07went away and I went to sleep.
- 39:15Speaker 2: Or like, there is that one interaction where you heard
- 39:20Graham outside be like or no, he was fighting them,
- 39:25and Amy was like, I don't know why we let
- 39:27you work here if you don't agree with our beliefs.
- 39:29It's like, why why would she say that? That's like
- 39:34a weird expositionary phrase to throw out there.
- 39:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean like our beliefs. It's like okay, and
- 39:40even like and then even Graham coming back later and
- 39:43being like, I don't know why they worship this guy,
- 39:46so like to not even be like, well, what do
- 39:48you mean by worship? Ah, No, let's just look at lawnmowers.
- 39:51I'd be like, no, you're gonna fucking hey, old kook,
- 39:54You're gonna fucking tell me what you're talking, Like, what
- 39:56what is going on?
- 39:57Speaker 2: Just tell me.
- 40:00Speaker 1: Also, her getting that call and not even asking his
- 40:02name makes me feel like he was maybe premeditated slightly
- 40:06or something, because if there unless unless it's just like, oh,
- 40:08this is the new hire. I don't care what your
- 40:10name is. You're just a perfect fodder for whatever sacrifice,
- 40:13which is I mean inevitably where I think this is going.
- 40:15Speaker 2: But still I think so. I think they're going to
- 40:18sacrifice or he's going to be a vessel or something
- 40:20like that.
- 40:21Speaker 1: Well we are on part two. Let's get it part two.
- 40:26Speaker 2: A few days later, Camp Oakwood's first session officially began.
- 40:30Around one hundred campers age five to ten, were dropped
- 40:33off by their families for their week long stay. Julio
- 40:36and I watched from outside our apartment as the massive
- 40:38children were greeted by a cheerful Amy and all the counselors.
- 40:42Speaker 1: So glad I'm not a counselor you and me both.
- 40:46Speaker 2: After the staff finished their cringe introduction, the campers were
- 40:49all brought to their respective cabins to I assume unpack
- 40:53their belongings. Graham told us that on the first night
- 40:56of each session, there would be a big bondfire that
- 40:58was supposed to symbolize the getting up the camper's time
- 41:01at Camp Oakwood. Graham put Julio and Carson in charge
- 41:04of setting it up, while Graham and I were to
- 41:06clean it up. Once the whole thing was done. Fifty
- 41:08to fifty split of work, as Graham liked to call it.
- 41:11At that moment, I was feeling mixed emotions. On one hand,
- 41:15I was still creeped out by the counselors and other staff,
- 41:17and I didn't know how bad the kids would be.
- 41:20On the other however, I was ready to start most
- 41:22of my work so that I could hopefully get my
- 41:24mind off of everyone's behavior around me. Thankfully, I didn't
- 41:28have to wait too long for that. While Julio and
- 41:31I continued chatting, Graham called us over the radio, telling
- 41:34us to hurry over to one of the cabins. Apparently
- 41:37a camper had already vomited all over his captin's floor
- 41:39and some of the camper's bags, and we needed to
- 41:42clean it up. Graham and Carson were already busy setting
- 41:47up bullseye targets at the archery station, which meant that we,
- 41:50the rookies, would have to get our hands. Dirdy grab
- 41:53the necessary supplies from the small maintenance shed that was
- 41:56located next to our housing wing, and hurried over to
- 41:58Cabin five. We arrived to see about twenty campers and
- 42:01two counselors outside the cabin, holding their noses with their
- 42:04shirts from the smell. One camper stood away from everyone else.
- 42:08You could see stains on the kid's shirt from a
- 42:10mile away. You can also smell it from another city away.
- 42:13One of the counselors, who I had not yet met
- 42:16up to that point, came running up to us. He
- 42:19was young as well, maybe my age, with really light
- 42:21blonde hair and a fade styled haircut.
- 42:25Speaker 1: I've already called the I've already called the nurses. They're
- 42:27on their way. Okay, get the others away from the building.
- 42:31The last thing we need is someone else to kisik.
- 42:34Speaker 2: You're right, counselor said, before turning to the campers and
- 42:37the other counselor.
- 42:39Speaker 1: All right, guys, we're heading to the main lodge. Paxton,
- 42:42stay here and the nurses will be here soon. Everyone else,
- 42:45let's go with that.
- 42:46Speaker 2: They briskly made their escape, leaving Packston alone with us.
- 42:50We told them to stay outside while we walked toward
- 42:52the cabin. We had all of our cleaning supplies ready,
- 42:54but we had to fight the smell and the urged
- 42:56to vomit at the same time. Finally got enough courage
- 42:59to go inside. How bad did this kid vomit? Dude?
- 43:02Speaker 1: Well, even just like summertime. Oh, it must be brutal.
- 43:06Fuck that also working in a summer camp, having to
- 43:08do that shit, kids eating all kinds of crazy shit
- 43:11and then they just throw up. I like, oh, it's
- 43:14probably humidi as shit out there. Oh my god, disgusting.
- 43:18Speaker 2: After several long minutes, we managed to get rid of
- 43:20the vomit itself smell lingered, but not as strong as before.
- 43:24Just as we were walking out, I noticed a poster
- 43:25hanging on the wall above the bed, directly next to
- 43:28the door. It was a replica of the painting hanging
- 43:31in the chapel. Hey, look at this, I told Julio
- 43:34while pointing at it.
- 43:36Speaker 1: He shows a picture of Horse oak Wood, the guy
- 43:38who founded the camp many years ago. That's that's what
- 43:41Graham told me. Some war hero. He defeated a powerful
- 43:45try back in the eighteen hundreds. They were heavily unnumbered
- 43:47and sorry, the Julio thing, I have to lock in
- 43:52because I feel like it could be good. He defeated
- 43:55the powerful tryback in the eighteen hundreds. They were heavily
- 43:58unnumbered and on the brink of defeat. Horace mounted a
- 44:01tremendous comeback and managed to defeat the tribe. He was
- 44:04even stabbed in the back, but survived and rocked a
- 44:06pretty neat scar on the and rocked a pretty neat
- 44:09scar for the rest of his life. So he was
- 44:12a badass.
- 44:13Speaker 2: Oh yeah, Julio said, before we both laughed.
- 44:16Speaker 1: Was he called Sharino? Yeah, that was a nickname Horace
- 44:20may for himself. Horace claimed the wailer needs a you'll
- 44:22need nickname that separates him from the raist. But why Sharino? Honestly,
- 44:27no one really knows. He never explained how he came
- 44:29up with it and what it was based off of.
- 44:32Speaker 2: Interesting, I responded, before grabbing my walkie to Radio Graham.
- 44:36Speaker 1: Hey Graham, we finished cleaning up the vomit. What now?
- 44:39Speaker 2: About five seconds later, Graham came over the walkie.
- 44:43Speaker 3: Of course, is not finished setting up. We now need
- 44:47to go set up the rec center. Start heading over there.
- 44:50Speaker 2: Julio and I put the stuff back up and walked
- 44:52to the rec center. As I previously mentioned, the rec
- 44:55center was a small shelter that had games such as ping, pong, foosball,
- 44:58and air hockey. We also smaller games like checkers and
- 45:01chests that were set up on benches of tables. It
- 45:04was mainly used by the more quiet campers during the
- 45:07free time of the day, which was during the two
- 45:09hour interval for lunch. Well, it was supposed to have
- 45:13all this stuff. The problem was nothing had been set
- 45:16up yet. When Graham drove us by the rec center
- 45:18the previous week, the doors were closed and the windows
- 45:21were tinted, so I couldn't even tell if there was
- 45:22stuff already inside. Graham told us what was in there,
- 45:26but he never told us that it wasn't set up yet.
- 45:29Graham explained that we needed to set it all up
- 45:31so the campers could begin using the stuff the next day.
- 45:34There's a small lock shed behind the rec center where
- 45:36all the stuff was kept. It took a while, but
- 45:38we managed to bring everything again and set it up accordingly.
- 45:42While setting up, I kept noticing Carson taking glances at me,
- 45:45at one point staring at me for a solid minute.
- 45:48I was already fed up by the counselors doing this,
- 45:50so I already knew I wasn't going to deal with
- 45:52this bullshit. However, given what happened in the chapel the
- 45:55week before, I didn't want to confront Carson on my own,
- 45:59so I stopped what I was doing and decided to
- 46:01tell Graham, who I found back in the shed, pulling
- 46:04out a box full of board games from one of
- 46:06the shelves.
- 46:07Speaker 1: Hey, Graham, Carson would not stop staring at me. I
- 46:10don't know what his problem is, but please go tell
- 46:12me to stop. Oh why don't you tell me if
- 46:15you have a problem with it?
- 46:16Speaker 2: I really really wanted to explain what I had seen
- 46:19the previous week in the chapel, but I bit my
- 46:21tongue and just told I was very creeped out by him.
- 46:24He could probably tell I was holding something back, but
- 46:26he accepted my excuse and told me he would handle it.
- 46:29Gave me the box of board games and left the shed.
- 46:32As I walked out, I could see Graham and Carson talking,
- 46:34but couldn't hear them because they were talking quietly. In
- 46:38the end, Carson nodded and Graham walked back to the shed.
- 46:41True to Graham's word, Carson didn't desert me again after that, well,
- 46:45at least I hope he didn't. After we finished, we
- 46:47hopped back in the cart and drove back to our
- 46:49housing building. Graham dropped the three of us off and
- 46:52told us to keep our walkies on in case something
- 46:54popped up. He then drove off towards the main launche building.
- 46:58Hulu and I went back inside. Our decided to show
- 47:00for the rest of the day, but already eaten once
- 47:03earlier that day before the campus arrived, so we wouldn't
- 47:05have anything else to do until the bomb fired. Later
- 47:07that night, while I was on the couch watching some
- 47:10show on our really old TV, Julio piped out from
- 47:13the small.
- 47:13Speaker 1: Kitchen, wonder what made Amy hire a guy like Carson?
- 47:17Beats me. Amy probably just hires anyone who's interested in
- 47:20working for this camp, and he's a very weird guy.
- 47:24I know you know, I've knowniced. You're always very uncomfortable Carson.
- 47:28Why is that? What do you mean? I saw you
- 47:32go complain to Graham earlier today about Carson's constantly staring
- 47:35at you. I noticed as well, and was just waiting
- 47:37for you to do something about it. But even before that,
- 47:40you're already uncomfortable and honestly looked a little scared every
- 47:44time we are, every time we are around Carson, I
- 47:47don't know what you're talking about. Come on, man, it's
- 47:50obviously you're creeped out by him. You could tell me
- 47:52the reason why.
- 47:53Speaker 2: Up to that point I hadn't told anyone about what
- 47:56I had seen on both the chapel and outside our window. However,
- 47:59at that moment, I felt I was trapped in a corner.
- 48:02Julio could tell something was up, so I needed to
- 48:04either come up with an excuse or spill the beans.
- 48:07After quick deliberation, I chose the latter. I needed help
- 48:10and keeping it on my chest would only make it worse.
- 48:14So I ended up telling him everything from Carson in
- 48:16the chapel to Amy Graham and Carson talking outside our
- 48:20window in the middle of the night. Julio just stared
- 48:22at me, taking.
- 48:23Speaker 1: In what I was saying.
- 48:25Speaker 2: When I was finally done, all he said was, Wow, I'm.
- 48:31Speaker 1: Very creeped out right now. Dude. I don't know why
- 48:34he and those counsels act so strange around me. It's
- 48:36so fucking weird. Why didn't you wake me up when
- 48:39they were talking outside our room?
- 48:41Speaker 2: Uh?
- 48:42Speaker 1: I don't know, Well, something like that happens again, wake
- 48:46me up. Given that you just told me everything I'm
- 48:49involved in this shit is just as much as you
- 48:50are now.
- 48:51Speaker 2: And then went outside to smoke a cigarette.
- 48:53Speaker 1: Hmmm. I don't know, Like I want to trust Julio,
- 48:55but at the same time, I don't know. I feel
- 48:58like I trust him. Do you think you do? I
- 49:00feel like I'm skeptical obviously because of horror tropes and
- 49:04stuff like that. But at the same time, I feel
- 49:06like he's It feels like he's digging a lot, like
- 49:08he see he seems super concerned. Oh, he seemed really
- 49:10weird about by Carson. Why you seem why why is
- 49:13Carson weirded out so much? Almost like he's digging for
- 49:15some ship.
- 49:16Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe I want to I want to trust him,
- 49:19though I like I like, I think. I think Julio
- 49:22is just suspicious of everything that's happening, but he's in it.
- 49:27Speaker 1: He wouldn't.
- 49:27Speaker 2: Yes, he's new, and I feel like if he was
- 49:29in on it, he wouldn't volunteer information about uh, the
- 49:32guy that started the camp and stuff like that. I mean,
- 49:35that's true as much as he does. But he's new,
- 49:38but he knows a lot about the guy about the painting.
- 49:41I mean, he probably asked someone about him once again.
- 49:45Speaker 1: Still kind of odd, That's all I gotta say.
- 49:47Speaker 2: I I think he's fine. I think more than anything,
- 49:49he's just like like if you got a new job
- 49:52and the guy's like so. Turns out last night all
- 49:55the people that hired us were outside our window talking
- 49:57about something, and I'd be like, uh, why are you not?
- 50:01Why are you just now telling me this? Yehy, I
- 50:03mean why did that I'll get looped into this earlier? Yeah.
- 50:05Speaker 1: No, that's fair, that's fair.
- 50:07Speaker 2: I stood there wondering if what I did was the
- 50:09right decision. I mean, someone needed to know, and I
- 50:13spent more time with Julio since we practically slept in
- 50:15the same room. But I could have told Graham as well,
- 50:17since he seemed to be on my side. When I
- 50:19found Amy and Carson talking outside my room for the
- 50:22previous week, I made a mental note to at least
- 50:24tell Graham when I had the chance, but I had
- 50:26to find the right moment to do so. Later that night,
- 50:30all the campers and staff gathered around the campfire. I
- 50:32ended up finding the counselor from Cabin five, and I
- 50:35decided to formally introduce myself to my shock, he didn't
- 50:38ex surprise when I said my name. He introduced himself
- 50:41as Percy before proceeding to tell me that he's been
- 50:44a counselor since they move locations.
- 50:47Speaker 1: I've always liked coming back, since it's so much fun,
- 50:50just being able to hang out with other friends and
- 50:52giving the campers a good summer camp experience. How mean
- 50:55has it been for you? Pretty good?
- 50:58Speaker 2: I lied, well good.
- 51:01Speaker 1: It's always great to hear that new staff members are
- 51:03enjoying it here. I'm just hoping it isn't too chaotic
- 51:06with all these kids running around. Oh, it isn't. These
- 51:10guys are the most behaved and peaceful kids you'll ever meet.
- 51:14For real. Yeah, most of them come from strict, well
- 51:17to do families. We only have to discipline maybe five
- 51:20or so campers every session, and none of it is
- 51:23ever major. Just a couple of minor scuffles on the
- 51:25playground or escalating arguments over the ping pong paddles, anything
- 51:29ever major.
- 51:30Speaker 2: He paused, mulling over something in his head. After about
- 51:33ten seconds, he continued.
- 51:35Speaker 1: Don't tell anyone, but I told you this, but there
- 51:38was one thing that happened a while ago.
- 51:40Speaker 2: Before he could finish, and he called for everyone's attention.
- 51:43He was standing on top of a bench holding a
- 51:45small bell in her hand. Hello everyone, she said enthusiastically,
- 51:50For all of you who.
- 51:50Speaker 1: Are returning for another fun summer, We're glad to have
- 51:53you back. To those who are new, I would like
- 51:55to welcome you to Camp oak Wood. We're very glad
- 51:58to have you all here tonight, and I'm looking forward
- 52:01to getting to know each and every one of you
- 52:02over the next week. We'll pass out somemore soon, but
- 52:05before that, we'll sing the camp's official song. If you
- 52:08don't know it or afraid of singing, then that's fine,
- 52:11but those of you, but to those of you who
- 52:13do know it, feel free to feel free to sing
- 52:16along with that.
- 52:17Speaker 2: She raised the bell over her head and shook it.
- 52:19Small bells sounded like a thousand course in church bells.
- 52:23I stared at all, trying to make sense of it.
- 52:25Everyone else didn't really react, as if they had expected this.
- 52:29Once the sound of bells deafened, she began to sing.
- 52:32None of the words sounded like English. So I.
- 52:38Speaker 1: Come back.
- 52:38Speaker 2: I'm telling you, I mean gosh awesome, kind of weird.
- 52:48After she hit the bell that sounded like a thousand
- 52:51church sholl, I have in my hand the bell of
- 52:58one thousand bells. Oh.
- 53:03Speaker 1: I loved this song.
- 53:04Speaker 2: I loved his song of Ours and Harris is just
- 53:07kind of like it's got a peculiar.
- 53:11Speaker 1: Okay, it's a little strange, I get.
- 53:14Speaker 2: Oh she must be Polish. Oh she's probably Polish. That
- 53:19makes a lot of sense. Yep, I'm tracking None of
- 53:22the one, None of the one that's such a funny line.
- 53:25None of the words sounded like English, so I wasn't
- 53:28able to understand it. I have to admit, though she
- 53:31had a beautiful voice. It was honestly so angelic that
- 53:34I looked up at her to make sure she wasn't
- 53:36playing or recording or something. After I looked up, I
- 53:39noticed everyone, though only some were singing along. We're all
- 53:43bowing their heads, well except for one other person. As
- 53:48I panned the crowd, I saw Graham standing in the back,
- 53:51leaning against the trunk of a tree. We made eye
- 53:53contact with each other. I made a confused face, trying
- 53:56to figure out why he was away from everyone else.
- 53:59I didn't respond to shake his head and what looked
- 54:01like disappointment, and then turned back around and bowed my
- 54:04head once again. Amy finished her song and everyone looked
- 54:07back up at her. She then said excitedly it was
- 54:10time for smores, which was met by cheers of the campers.
- 54:14I got up again walking over to Graham. You met
- 54:17me halfway.
- 54:18Speaker 1: What was that? It's a small ceremony done at the
- 54:21beginning of the camp. Amy loves music. She studied in
- 54:24college and has always had a passion for it, so
- 54:27she likes to implement it at some points during each session.
- 54:30Do you know what language she was singing in? I
- 54:33think Italian, but I could be wrong.
- 54:50Speaker 2: Italian. They're speaking like dead Laddin, like some of inch Beans.
- 54:58And you got some old timer in the back line.
- 55:00That's one of the Italians.
- 55:02Speaker 1: I do believe pretty much the Italians if I've ever heard.
- 55:04Speaker 2: That's what That's what they sell. She must also be
- 55:07a Polish Polish Italian.
- 55:09Speaker 1: She's a Polish spy. I'm pretty sure. I'm not entirely.
- 55:12I would hate to, you know, throw it out there.
- 55:15Speaker 2: But well, there's one time at church. This was a
- 55:21few years back. My grandmother's hearing got really bad, so
- 55:25you had to like yell at her to talk to
- 55:27her at any point. Sure, and we were in church
- 55:30one day and at the beginning of the pastor was like, uh,
- 55:34all right, let us bow our heads for prayer, and
- 55:37like everyone bows their head and the room goes quiet,
- 55:39and then you just hear my grandmother very loudly across
- 55:42the entire auditorium go no, I believe the man was Italian,
- 55:48and like the pastor heard it, and he was like
- 55:51trying not to laugh but also get through the prayer.
- 55:53And everyone was snickering. And at the same time, I
- 55:56wasn't sitting near my grandma, but someone must have like
- 55:59told her to shush, be quiet, and she goes, what,
- 56:02He's just Italian.
- 56:04Speaker 1: He's just Italian. He's just Italian.
- 56:07Speaker 2: I didn't say he was like awful or anything. I'm
- 56:10just saying I believe the man was Italianeah for God's sake,
- 56:13Graham told me I could get a s'more if I
- 56:15wanted one, but I told him I wasn't hungry. We
- 56:17just stood there watching everyone else eat their smores before
- 56:20they began to disperse back to their respective cabins as planned,
- 56:24Julio and Carson left, so Graham and I were the
- 56:26only ones who would be extinguishing the fire and cleaning
- 56:29up the remnants of chocolate and marshmallows. After cleaning quietly
- 56:33for a while, Graham broke the silence.
- 56:35Speaker 1: I see you in Persia are getting along. Yeah, he's
- 56:38pretty chill.
- 56:39Speaker 2: I looked up to see Graham smiling while throwing more detritus. Detri,
- 56:43What is detritus?
- 56:45Speaker 1: I'm looking it up.
- 56:46Speaker 2: Detritus. I imagine that means trash, waste, or debris of
- 56:50any kind. Just okay, can you say trash?
- 56:53Speaker 1: Just say debris?
- 56:55Speaker 2: Throwing more detritus into a black bag.
- 56:58Speaker 1: Yeah, I know what, Detri, And you don't. Yeah, you
- 57:03seem happy about that. No, I'm happy because the first
- 57:07night is always so full of joy. The rest of
- 57:10the sessions are just sort of bland. Is it boring? No,
- 57:14it's not that. As the first night, each group follows
- 57:16their own schedule, and each group straight up ignores the others.
- 57:19And you would think most camputers would branch out with
- 57:22those with those older and younger, but they stick together
- 57:25in their age groups like glue. Also, most campus aren't
- 57:28as happy the rest of the session as they are
- 57:30on the first night, probably homesickness or something. But it's
- 57:34been the same for me. He is and honestly makes
- 57:37me a little sad to see it.
- 57:38Speaker 2: To be honest, I didn't think Graham could become that
- 57:40emotional or deep. My first impression of him was a
- 57:43stone cold, hard nosed man who just did his shob
- 57:46and nothing else. But now he's starting to appear more human.
- 57:51I don't know why, but I was just fascinated by it,
- 57:54so fascinated by it that I forgot to tell him
- 57:56what I had told Julio hours before. We finished clean
- 57:59up up not long after and went back to our
- 58:01respective apartments. Julio wasn't there when I arrived, but his
- 58:05car wasn't either, so I guess he left the campgrounds
- 58:08to do something. I didn't know if that was allowed
- 58:10once the session was in progress, but I decided not
- 58:13to do anything about it. But there are several that
- 58:16one's fine, but there's several instances of him being like,
- 58:18this thing happened and I didn't do it.
- 58:20Speaker 1: I just really could not give up.
- 58:22Speaker 2: I didn't do that. The thing I could have done there, Yep,
- 58:26not me.
- 58:26Speaker 1: I was not do that at all. There.
- 58:29Speaker 2: It is, yes, not happening, yet there's several instances of
- 58:32him just to be like, and I didn't do it.
- 58:34Once I got inside, I decided to take a shower.
- 58:37After spending about ten minutes under the shower head turned
- 58:40off the water and crabbed a towel and pulled open
- 58:42the shower curtain. After drying off, I went to grab
- 58:45my clothes, but when I checked the countertop, they were missing.
- 58:48I thought I had placed them on the countertop before
- 58:50I got in, but I must have forgotten to. I
- 58:53wrapped a towel around my waist again and started walking
- 58:55toward the bathroom door. That's when I noticed bathroom door
- 58:58was cracked open. The fock was positive. I was positive
- 59:04I had shut and locked it, so my body immediately
- 59:07had stopped. My phone was in my bedroom charging, so
- 59:10if I had to call for help, I'd have to
- 59:12build up enough courage to get out of the bathroom.
- 59:15Eventually peeped my head outside the door. When I did so,
- 59:19saw no one inside. Julio called out, hoping he was
- 59:24just pulling a messed up prank on me. I got
- 59:26no response. Peered back to my left and found my
- 59:29clothes on a chair next to the table. Damn it,
- 59:32I left them out here, I thought to myself. As
- 59:34I reached out for them. All of a sudden, a
- 59:37bright flash filled the room. I turned around and saw
- 59:40a hooded figure dressed in black and wearing sunglasses holding
- 59:43a camera. I cursed out loud in shock, and the
- 59:46hooded figure ran for the door. At the chaos, I
- 59:48managed to grab the back of his hood, making the
- 59:51back of his head visible. For I could do anything
- 59:53else put it, figure opened my door and ran out
- 59:56into the night. I would have ran after him, but
- 59:58I was in only a towel and barefoot, and the
- 1:00:00ground outside was gravelly, so I knew there was no
- 1:00:02chance I could get him. Although I didn't see his face,
- 1:00:06I knew who it was. I recognized him based off
- 1:00:08the blonde fade style haircut. It was Percy fucking weird man.
- 1:00:14Speaker 1: You feel like you like a character. Then, I don't
- 1:00:16know if they're I'm wondering what interesting taking pictures of
- 1:00:20him and stuff. I'm like wondering, what is this like
- 1:00:22weird obsession with his look or what they're trying to do.
- 1:00:26You'd think that it'd be like more if it was
- 1:00:28like sacrificial too. I was almost thinking i'd be like
- 1:00:30hair samples or like they're collecting things, But it just
- 1:00:33seems so like visual almost like idolizing, almost like he's
- 1:00:37a uh reincarnation of the dude that they're obsessed with.
- 1:00:40Or something.
- 1:00:41Speaker 2: Well, I think you're right. I also, uh, thinking about it,
- 1:00:45I'm pretty sure Sharino is a jumbled up spelling of Harrison.
- 1:00:53Oh yeah, that same letters. Whatever the word for that is,
- 1:00:55there's a word for it. But whatever the word for
- 1:00:57it is, I think that Chrino is that for Harrison.
- 1:01:01So I guarantee you he's supposed to be the second incarnation.
- 1:01:04But Percy was just a camp counselor you seem like
- 1:01:06he wasn't in on it as much as everyone else was.
- 1:01:08That's interesting that he is so interesting that that was
- 1:01:13kind of a menacing moment of like the uh, you know,
- 1:01:15his clothes just placed outside, so that that an opportunity
- 1:01:19to get a picture of him naked. Maybe they're looking
- 1:01:21for a symbol on him or something like that on
- 1:01:23his shirt or back.
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: You would think something something like that, right, Yeah.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: Some reason they needed him, They needed a picture of
- 1:01:30him and just a towel maybe. Anyway, on to part three.
- 1:01:36Part three, Julio returned a few minutes later to find
- 1:01:39me shaking in tear.
- 1:01:40Speaker 1: Dude, are you all right? Somebody broke in the apartment.
- 1:01:42It took a picture of me. It was Percy, who's Percy,
- 1:01:46the counselor from Cavin five. Have you called the police yet?
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: Not yet?
- 1:01:50Speaker 1: I guess I'm still in a state of shock. Okay,
- 1:01:54I'm going to call Amy. Go put your clothes on.
- 1:01:57He's coxious out talking to him.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: I grabbed my clothes and went back into the bathroom
- 1:02:05through the door. I could hear Julio on the phone.
- 1:02:07About two minutes later, there was a loud knock at
- 1:02:09the door. Hula opened it, and both Amy and Graham
- 1:02:13walked in. Amy quizzed me on what happened, wanting to
- 1:02:16make sure it was indeed Percy who broke in. Graham
- 1:02:19meanwhile sat there silently. After several minutes of questioning, Ammy
- 1:02:23got up to leave. Asked her if she wanted to
- 1:02:25call the police, but she said it wouldn't be necessary.
- 1:02:28Speaker 1: If I can get him both to confess and destroy
- 1:02:30the photo, then we should be all right and I
- 1:02:32can just send him home. Besides, if it didn't steal
- 1:02:35or break anything, and only did was just take a
- 1:02:37photo of you, I don't think the police should be involved.
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: Or I could even respond at all. She slammed the door,
- 1:02:41leaving the three of us in the apartment.
- 1:02:44Speaker 1: Sorry by that Harrison, Hey, no need to apologize. You
- 1:02:48had nothing to do with this, I know, but still
- 1:02:51you're my employees, and as your boss, your will being
- 1:02:55as one of my priorities, perse he's probably gonna get fired.
- 1:02:58I don't even know if it was him. All I
- 1:03:00saw was the back of his head and versus hairstyle,
- 1:03:02and its color was the closest one to it. I
- 1:03:05just can't believe Percy pretended to be normal around me.
- 1:03:07I guess I'm telling me nothing major ever happening around
- 1:03:10here must have been a complete lie to Game. I
- 1:03:12trust it's the same goes for this major event that
- 1:03:15happened a few years ago. Actually that part is true.
- 1:03:19Speaker 2: Julio, Graham yelled, causing me to jump shit.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: Sorry what.
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: Both of them looked away from me, not saying a word.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: Julio already said it's true, So you guys might as
- 1:03:28well just tell me now, or maybe I should just
- 1:03:30go ask Amy about it.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: Before I could even move, Graham stot up and grabbed
- 1:03:33me by the arm with a very painful grip. Do
- 1:03:35not make that mistake, he said to me. I now,
- 1:03:38legitimately scared, just nodded and he let go of my arm.
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: All right, I'll tell you, but you need to promise
- 1:03:44me you will not tell Amy at all. Same with you, Julio,
- 1:03:48though I doubt you will.
- 1:03:49Speaker 2: Julio nodded, while I remained silent. Graham's sided and then began.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: Five years ago, a young camper named Cheron went missing
- 1:03:58after supposedly wandering off during our group hike. Amy freaked
- 1:04:02out when she heard the news and spent a full
- 1:04:04day and night searching for alone in the woods. She
- 1:04:07didn't want to, but eventually she had to call the police.
- 1:04:11The camp was shut down and all the campers were
- 1:04:13picked up and taken home. Eventually found Sharon a couple
- 1:04:16of weeks later, and I'm not going to go into
- 1:04:18detail what happened to her. One of the counselors was
- 1:04:21arrested after the DNA was found at the crime scene.
- 1:04:23Who's found not guilty by reason of insanity and was
- 1:04:26sent to a psych ward. And Amy tried to reopen
- 1:04:28the camp the following summer, but not many families signed
- 1:04:31their kids up out of fear of something would happen again.
- 1:04:34So the summer after that, Amy changed two things, a
- 1:04:37young have younger counselors and move the camp to a
- 1:04:40new location. She didn't change the name, though, and she
- 1:04:43really couldn't. I think he said the city brought the
- 1:04:46I think you said the city bought the land out
- 1:04:47through eminent domain. That was what she ordered us to say.
- 1:04:51She told us to lie so that we could move
- 1:04:53on from the tragedy. Amy, Carson and I are the
- 1:04:55only ones left from the original camp, and she told
- 1:04:58us not to talk about it ever again. However, it's
- 1:05:01an open secret, so to speak, and many of the
- 1:05:03new employees either already know about it or eventually hear
- 1:05:06from one of the other coworkers. However, if Amy if
- 1:05:10a lot of howevers, However, if Amy found we were
- 1:05:13still talking about it, she'd probably have our heads on
- 1:05:15a silver platter. I already know this stuff. They fought
- 1:05:17I came here, Remember how Graham said it was at
- 1:05:20a different location. The city Camp Oakwood was originally located
- 1:05:24and was actually my hometown. And that murder was the
- 1:05:26talk of the town. You heard about it, whether you want.
- 1:05:29Speaker 3: It to or not.
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: So does this have something to do with why Amy
- 1:05:32doesn't want the police involved? Sort of. She doesn't like
- 1:05:36the police being involved because she's afraid that any other crime,
- 1:05:38no matter how small it is, could ruin the reputation
- 1:05:41of the camp again. Camp Oakwood is one of the
- 1:05:43most popular summer camps in our region, so another criminal
- 1:05:46act could hurt us again. But for your case, I
- 1:05:49don't think so. Like Amy said, if nothing was stolen
- 1:05:53and the only thing done besides breaking into the apartment
- 1:05:56was taking a photo of your unclothed back, then there
- 1:05:59would be no need. It's not a serious issue, and
- 1:06:02I doubt she'll call the police for something as small
- 1:06:04as this. So wait, why exactly does she want new
- 1:06:07employees and campus to know what happened to that girl?
- 1:06:10Would you want everyone to keep talking about how one
- 1:06:12of your campers was murdered by one of your employees
- 1:06:14several years ago? I mean, I guess not, that's what
- 1:06:19I thought. Look sorry to come off so aggressively, but
- 1:06:23I want to protect my job and follow and follow
- 1:06:25the rules. I could care less if someone else told you,
- 1:06:28but I refuse to talk about it anymore. Amy is
- 1:06:31a scary lady when she gets angry, and in fact,
- 1:06:34I'm gonna go find her to make sure she doesn't
- 1:06:35do anything to Percy.
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: Immediately after saying that he got up and left.
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: Wait what did he mean by the fact that Amy
- 1:06:42couldn't change the name? Oh you didn't know, he asked me.
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: I shook my head, and he continued.
- 1:06:48Speaker 1: Camp Oakwood is the name of about thirty camps around
- 1:06:51the world. Not the country, but the world. Are you serious? Yeah?
- 1:06:55They started the franchise of camps around thirty years ago.
- 1:06:58There's only one camp located in each country. Thirty camps,
- 1:07:01thirty countries. We are like any other summer camp with
- 1:07:04one caveat. We only accept approved campers and employees. It
- 1:07:08must be from a select family and approved by the
- 1:07:10camp director of the camp they applied for. Makes it
- 1:07:12easier for the camp to run. If we at least
- 1:07:14accept campers and employees who we know, we won't be
- 1:07:16a problem.
- 1:07:17Speaker 2: And Okay, so this is like a raws child level,
- 1:07:22like super upper levels of society.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: Say yeah, like private almost like a not a Illuminati level,
- 1:07:30but like almost like a secret society, almost like fancier.
- 1:07:34I wonder too if that's also if the dad maybe
- 1:07:36knew about it, and he's like, oh, that's we're all
- 1:07:37like the secret you know, fucking what's that? What's that
- 1:07:42crazy camp with the owl statue? Or whatever.
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: Oh uh, Bohemian grove.
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: It's like a Bohemian grove kind of camp, you know
- 1:07:49what I mean. Also, if you know the song sing
- 1:07:53along where it's like, oh, this is like a super
- 1:07:55historic pass down thing, you know what I mean.
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: Yeah, Yeah, it's like a true condition that your parents
- 1:08:01would have taught you about. Yeah, what's the what's the
- 1:08:04quote from Bohemian Grove weaving spiders come not here is
- 1:08:08like over the front side of the camp. It's like that,
- 1:08:10all the secret handshakes and codes and stuff like that. Yeah,
- 1:08:17I'd say, I'd say that's probably what this is. And
- 1:08:20it leads back to some ritual or something. It's like
- 1:08:22a secret it's a place secret Society members send their
- 1:08:25kids to camp. Maybe that's why all the counselors act
- 1:08:28so damn weird, I thought to myself, I guess me
- 1:08:30Graham and Juley are the only normal people they've ever hired.
- 1:08:34Moments later, we got another knock on the door. Julio
- 1:08:37opened it to reveal a police.
- 1:08:38Speaker 1: Officer, Harrison Tracy. That's me. I'm Officer Marino. I'm here
- 1:08:43to get your statement on the break in that happened
- 1:08:45earlier tonight. Percy has already confessed and it's currently detained. However,
- 1:08:49we want to get your statement about what happened. The
- 1:08:51more facts the better.
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: I guess she did decide to call the police. I
- 1:08:54thought to myself, you have a brief riundown on what
- 1:08:57happened in the officer Marino thank to me and left.
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: I bet person probably called himself. He's like, get me
- 1:09:02out of here, arrest me.
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: Yeah, well, I think that. I think that was a
- 1:09:06fake cop. I think that's the reason Amy left so quickly.
- 1:09:10They had a fake cop coming like so that way. Yeah,
- 1:09:16personally call he's like, get me out.
- 1:09:18Speaker 1: I mean maybe you never know. I'm like trying to
- 1:09:20seek with these kind of things. If it's just like,
- 1:09:22oh you have to do this, you.
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: Know, yeah, some weird maybe like a weird hazing ritual thing,
- 1:09:29like a weird.
- 1:09:32Speaker 1: That anything for like a even like a ritual or something,
- 1:09:36you know.
- 1:09:36Speaker 2: Yeah, what's that word they use for Like people in
- 1:09:38like secret societies have to publicly embarrass themselves humiliation ritual.
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: Yeah, but also hazing is another you're the first time too.
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: I was up nearly all night trying to figure out
- 1:09:48what Percy's motive was. Nothing appeared to be stolen, so
- 1:09:52I couldn't really say robbery was the main motive. I
- 1:09:55did come up with a crazy theory that maybe his
- 1:09:57motive was to take an indecent photo of me and
- 1:09:59then use it as some sort of blackmail. However, I
- 1:10:02wasn't completely naked. I was wearing a towel pretty much
- 1:10:05up to my belly button, and my back was facing him.
- 1:10:08Speaker 1: All he could have saw was.
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: The back of my head, back of my neck, and
- 1:10:12my entire back, which kind of amounts to nothing. Eventually,
- 1:10:17I decided to just let it go and move on. First,
- 1:10:19he had been taken away. He was no longer a
- 1:10:21threat to me now. At around eleven am the next morning,
- 1:10:24while Joley and I were hanging around the apartment, we
- 1:10:27heard a commotion coming from outside. We looked outside to
- 1:10:29see the counselors ushering the campers back into their cabins
- 1:10:32and other staff running over to the chapel. We followed
- 1:10:35suit and ran over to the chapel. A few people
- 1:10:38were yelling for the nurses. Eventually we found Graham and
- 1:10:40the crowd and asked him what happened.
- 1:10:42Speaker 1: Carson stabbed himself. What that's all? I really know for sure.
- 1:10:48I wasn't close enough to see it, but I've heard
- 1:10:50a couple of people say was screaming while holding a knife.
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: A few minutes later, the nurses came out with Carson.
- 1:10:56Front of his shirt was stained red. Everyone stared in
- 1:10:59as he was caring towards the nurses station. I noticed
- 1:11:02no ambulance or amts around, so I guess Amy didn't
- 1:11:05want them involved either. After the small hysteria ended, everyone
- 1:11:09went back to what they were doing. Graham told us
- 1:11:11we would have to finish any work we still have
- 1:11:13that day without Carson, which thankfully wasn't too much. We
- 1:11:17ended up finishing around two pm.
- 1:11:18Speaker 1: As you can probably imagine, I was.
- 1:11:20Speaker 2: Near my branking point. In fact, I was very close
- 1:11:23to going up to Amy and handed in my resignation. However,
- 1:11:26part of me wanted to at least finish this session
- 1:11:28in order to get my money. I didn't care if
- 1:11:31it wasn't much, but I would rather leave with some
- 1:11:33money rather than no money. I've come this far, we
- 1:11:35stop now, but still I was seriously coming close to quitting.
- 1:11:39I had enough of the secrecy and the weirdness of
- 1:11:41it all. At around six pm, while I was still
- 1:11:44contemplating whether I should quit or not. I got a
- 1:11:46text from Amy meet me at the house.
- 1:11:49Speaker 1: I need to talk to you.
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: I saiwed and began putting my shoes on. Well, what's up, Julio,
- 1:11:53asked me from the couch.
- 1:11:55Speaker 1: Amy told me to meet her her house. I don't
- 1:11:57know why. Probably heard about Graham telling you about out
- 1:12:00his murder.
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: I responded and walked out. Amy left by herself in
- 1:12:06a single floor house on the other side of Camp.
- 1:12:09After several minutes of walking, I eventually reached the house,
- 1:12:12knocked on her front door and she opened up.
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: Good, you're here, Come on in. She let me into her.
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: Kitchen and told me to sit down once I've seen it.
- 1:12:20She sat down directly across the table from me.
- 1:12:23Speaker 1: So why did you want me to come over here?
- 1:12:24I wanted to check up on you. How have you
- 1:12:26been doing since Percy broke into your apartment? I'm doing
- 1:12:30all right. Glad to hear that. Would you like some coffee? Sure?
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: She got out and grabbed two cups from her cupboard
- 1:12:39and grabbed the coffee pot. She began to pour coffee
- 1:12:42into my cup when all of a sudden, she dropped
- 1:12:44the pot spilling hot coffee all onto my shirt. Jesus,
- 1:12:48I screamed out in pain from the hot coffee, and
- 1:12:50Amy began profusely apologizing for spilling it on me.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: I'm so sorry, Harrison. It's fine. It burns like a bitch,
- 1:12:58So God, here, give me your clothes. I'll watch him
- 1:13:02for you. It's the least I can do.
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: Yeah, they need to. They're checking his shirt that his
- 1:13:06chester is back for something. I didn't give up my shorts,
- 1:13:09but I gave her my shirt. Turned around to grab
- 1:13:11more paper towels to clamp the coffee on the table.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: What's that on your back?
- 1:13:15Speaker 2: Yep, yep, I'll look fair trap.
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: I figure.
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: I think I figured some kind of like birthmark or something.
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: Maybe right, Yeah, it's like a birthmark or something that
- 1:13:25relates about some kind of mark. Again, once again, it
- 1:13:29is Harry Potter. He has the same scar that Baltimore
- 1:13:31had to lift.
- 1:13:36Speaker 1: Uh.
- 1:13:36Speaker 2: But yeah, he's got the same thing that Sharon had.
- 1:13:40So anyway, yeah, I asked her wear on my back
- 1:13:42and she pointed near my waistline, right where the waistband
- 1:13:44if my shorts were.
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: Didn't even have to look in the mirror to know
- 1:13:47what she was pointing to my scar. I got it
- 1:13:50when I was little. The reason why, though, is pretty
- 1:13:53messed up. Yeah. I was attacked by a wizard of
- 1:13:55the night and he marked my forehead.
- 1:13:57Speaker 2: Well you see, you see, the dark lord came to
- 1:14:00try to kill me, but my mother put a protection
- 1:14:02spell over me, and that caused, you know, my mother
- 1:14:05and the wizard to die at the same time. But
- 1:14:07because of that, he placed part of his soul into me,
- 1:14:10and that's right.
- 1:14:10Speaker 1: Here in my back. The reason why, though, was pretty
- 1:14:13messed up. What do you mean?
- 1:14:16Speaker 2: I described to her what had happened to describes the
- 1:14:20plot of the First Potter.
- 1:14:22Speaker 1: She described to.
- 1:14:23Speaker 2: Her what it was, without a doubt, my worst childhood experience.
- 1:14:29There's something I was gonna be Oh yeah, the murdered
- 1:14:31girl that he mentioned, or that Graham mentioned, uh what
- 1:14:37they said her name? What was her name? It's uh,
- 1:14:40there's a little girl murdered.
- 1:14:44Speaker 1: Sharon. Sharon said, Charlotte Sharon.
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: That is very similar to what was the name of
- 1:14:50the place, sharer or the guy's name it was, uh, Sharino.
- 1:14:56I feel like that's a little quizidel that the girl
- 1:14:58that was murdered as Sharon and the guy calls himself Sharino,
- 1:15:02and again both of those are similar to Harrison.
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: So I think that maybe the.
- 1:15:11Speaker 2: Hold on I had a thought here.
- 1:15:12Speaker 1: Oh, I think maybe that at the previous.
- 1:15:14Speaker 2: Location, they tried to sacrifice this girl and they killed
- 1:15:17her and it didn't work, so then they have to
- 1:15:19redo it again, and now Harrison's their next subject.
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: Guessing. Soo, I mean Sharino being Harrison is just obvious
- 1:15:26versus Sharon not being it.
- 1:15:27Speaker 2: I don't know, it's just similar. I mean it's like
- 1:15:30a similar They thought that that was like the pre
- 1:15:33Harrison or something. Yeah. Yeah, I was six years old
- 1:15:37at the time. It's outside, played by myself in the backyard,
- 1:15:39kicking a soccer ball around. I spent a lot of
- 1:15:42afternoons outside doing whatever I wanted. I just kicked the
- 1:15:45soccer ball into the miniature goal I had. When I
- 1:15:47heard the backyard gate screech open, I turned to see
- 1:15:50a redhaired woman with a scary face, or I could
- 1:15:53even let out a scream, she charged at me. I
- 1:15:56don't remember much after that, but I do remember being
- 1:15:58rushed into the hospital, my parents crying hysterically. My back
- 1:16:02was on fire, and I remember seeing blood on my clothes. Thankfully,
- 1:16:06the wound wasn't too serious. I was stitched up and
- 1:16:08go to go. Parents quickly moved to another town several
- 1:16:11hours away, which is where I still live now. Woman
- 1:16:14was never caught, even though my dad got a full
- 1:16:16view of her face, said he didn't recognize her, and
- 1:16:19even though he met with a sketch artist, no new
- 1:16:21leads came of it. Do we think that this woman
- 1:16:24is no? Because Amy has black hair, so probably.
- 1:16:27Speaker 1: Yeah, but still, I mean, I don't know black. I mean,
- 1:16:29you could die your hair or something. But yeah, no,
- 1:16:31I don't know it. Uh, I don't. I'm curious to
- 1:16:36see the dad's involvement again. Whatever, the dad is going
- 1:16:39to reappear in the story somehow, maybe not in the flesh,
- 1:16:41but I just mean, like they're like, oh, yeah, your dad,
- 1:16:44I don't know, made some deal with the fucking devil
- 1:16:46or you know. I mean, there's gonna be something like that.
- 1:16:48I'm curious to see where that lines up. It almost
- 1:16:50reminded me of long legs with like the person just
- 1:16:52standing in the backyard whatever.
- 1:16:55Speaker 2: Yeah, I put on my long legs today. That is
- 1:16:58a menacing note to imagine, like a small child just
- 1:17:01being attacked by an adult.
- 1:17:02Speaker 1: Ye, horr I mean horrifying.
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: The image she describes too, of like, I was just
- 1:17:06playing soccer in my backyard and then I turned around
- 1:17:09and there's a woman standing there.
- 1:17:10Speaker 1: Yeah, just screaming at you and then attacking you. Yeah.
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: Yeah, it's terrifying.
- 1:17:15Speaker 1: So you have no idea why this woman did this
- 1:17:17to you? Not a clue, I'm sorry to hear that. Well,
- 1:17:22I want to wash your clothes. I have a town
- 1:17:24in the bathroom down the hall if you can use
- 1:17:25to dry off. I'll be back soon.
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: With that, she walked off and I went to the
- 1:17:29bathroom to try off. After I got out, I saw
- 1:17:32another room down the hall with a bluish light coming
- 1:17:34from it. I looked inside to see that light was
- 1:17:37coming from a turned on computer monitor. I looked at
- 1:17:40the web pages and discovered it to be a chat room.
- 1:17:44There was about thirty people in it. I recognized a
- 1:17:46few names, including Julio, Carson, Percy, and Amy. All right,
- 1:17:51maybe I was wrong about trusting Julio. That's sad, curious
- 1:17:55and a bit snoopy. I scrolled through the chat logs
- 1:17:58and eventually reached the week out applied for the job,
- 1:18:00the body ten stuff while I read they were talking about.
- 1:18:04Given that I don't remember everything that was said, I'll
- 1:18:06try to recount the important bits of it. Some of
- 1:18:08the names I don't recognize, but I'll state them anyway.
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: Amy, he hasn't called yet, but hope he will soon.
- 1:18:15Based only look on his face. He seemed very interested. Carson, Awesome.
- 1:18:20Hopefully you hear back soon, Raphael. Has anyone found the
- 1:18:25right sermon yet? I'm tired of waiting, Wendy now. Andy
- 1:18:30just tried another one, but that one also failed. I'm
- 1:18:33hoping we find out soon. The world is a mess. Amy,
- 1:18:37He's who I think he is. He could do it, Carson.
- 1:18:41Remember these traits we have to carve in the same
- 1:18:44way was carved into horse, the same amount of time
- 1:18:47it took, with the same angle on the crescent Xander Kurt.
- 1:18:51Kurt said the date of an important day of his
- 1:18:53life could correlate to the pages of the book and
- 1:18:55the corresponding prayer. Julio, I know I already tried the
- 1:19:00day of the battle in his birth and death dates
- 1:19:02and the pages corresponding to them. We have to keep digging, Raphael.
- 1:19:07Maybe Kurt was wrong. I mean, we all remember what happened, right, Amy,
- 1:19:12shut up, Raphael. He was right in some parts, yet
- 1:19:15he was too much for a coward to admit that
- 1:19:17he was that he royally fucked up.
- 1:19:19Speaker 2: I scrolled down to another conversation, which was dated a
- 1:19:21few hours after I discovered them talking outside my window.
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: Amy, I'll figure out a plan soon. I'll keep you
- 1:19:28guys updated. Also currently thinking of a plan B in
- 1:19:31case Plan A doesn't work, though I highly doubt that
- 1:19:34will happen. Carson, we have to make sure it's him,
- 1:19:38but we also have to make sure Graham isn't on
- 1:19:39our way. Coolio. If I see anything, I'll let you know.
- 1:19:45He just spilled the beans to me, he said, he
- 1:19:47said he saw you three talking. Amy. Well, shit, Okay,
- 1:19:52stick to the plan. Everyone is kind of meaning soon.
- 1:19:55We need this to work.
- 1:19:56Speaker 2: The last message was right after that, and it was
- 1:19:58dated for the morning hour for Percy broke into my
- 1:20:01apartment that morning.
- 1:20:02Speaker 1: Of course, I figured out the first process. I haven't
- 1:20:06saw the other one though. It's a different prayer, but
- 1:20:09I don't know which one specifically.
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: Well, I was wrong about Julio. I apologize. It seems
- 1:20:15that he is a part of the game of it.
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: It's just a bit ploy. It was just a bit odd,
- 1:20:20like I don't know, just way too invasive with.
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: You were right, you get your bear go ahead and
- 1:20:25make the bear trap. You're right. I just I fought
- 1:20:30you on it. I fought that bear trap.
- 1:20:32Speaker 1: But it was real, you know what I mean though,
- 1:20:33whenever someone's just like, yeah, that's weird, so like, why
- 1:20:36do you think he's doing that? You seem so weird
- 1:20:39like this guy, It's just it was a bit odd.
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, in hindsight, he did no suspiciously large amounts.
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: I like Julio too. I like Julio two.
- 1:20:50Speaker 2: That's rough. So is the part where she says at
- 1:20:53the in the first conversation, where Amy says, based on
- 1:20:56the lookout of his face, he seemed very interested. At
- 1:21:00the beginning of the story, Harrison said that when he
- 1:21:02left the cafe, there was a blonde woman. Yeah, it
- 1:21:05was definitely her was watching him. Yeah it was Amy.
- 1:21:07So since we know Amy to be black hair and
- 1:21:09blonde haired, I'm gonna take a bet and say she
- 1:21:12was also the red haired woman who attacked him. I
- 1:21:14still think that.
- 1:21:14Speaker 1: I think that that's well. The reason I say that
- 1:21:18I agree with that too, is just because now there's
- 1:21:20gray streaks in her hair, so there's obviously they've made
- 1:21:23such an emphasis on oh, she's a middle aged woman
- 1:21:25to where she probably did it when she was younger,
- 1:21:27even when maybe she was a counselor back then too.
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: So they need to do a prayer from hair or
- 1:21:34Sharino's book or whatever, and they need to carve him
- 1:21:39in the same way Sharino was carved with the same ritual.
- 1:21:41Is that what they're saying.
- 1:21:42Speaker 1: I'm thinking so.
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: And also earlier that day, Carson said, I figured out
- 1:21:46the first process. I haven't figured out the one after that, though,
- 1:21:49and that's when he stabbed himself. So Carson went ahead
- 1:21:51and did the first step of the ritual. It seems
- 1:21:55that's why he stabbed himself and now there now he's
- 1:21:57in Amy's house. Yeah, that's pretty menacing.
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:22:02Speaker 2: I could feel my heart racing a mile a minute
- 1:22:04as I stared at the computer screen. I had a
- 1:22:06deep suspicion that there was more to Percy breaking into
- 1:22:09my apartment, and this seemed to confirm it. I looked
- 1:22:12up towards the top of the screen to find another
- 1:22:14tab open. I clicked on it to reveal a grid
- 1:22:16of black and white security cameras. My stomach churned when
- 1:22:20I saw one of a very recognizable bedroom, my shared bedroom. God,
- 1:22:26it was being filmed from the top corner of the room.
- 1:22:28I never noticed it before, so it must have been
- 1:22:31hidden in the wall. There's a date and time slot
- 1:22:34near the edge of the screen. I decided to snoop
- 1:22:36through it. Sure enough showed me and Julio going through
- 1:22:39our daily rituals. I then noticed that one of the
- 1:22:42cameras was outside the housing wing on the corner of
- 1:22:44the building, which gave a perfect view of our front door.
- 1:22:48I decided to navigate to the footage the previous night.
- 1:22:51As I'd expected, Julio left a few minutes before I
- 1:22:54got back. It then showed me walking in and shutting
- 1:22:56the door. Fast forward to about ten minutes later. I
- 1:23:00saw sent chills down my spine. Percy walked up to
- 1:23:02the door, but behind him was Amy. Amy stepped forward
- 1:23:06and used the key to unlock my door. Both of
- 1:23:08them went inside. A minute or so later, Amy came
- 1:23:11out and gave a thumbs up to Percy inside my apartment.
- 1:23:14A few minutes later, Percy sprinted out of the apartment,
- 1:23:17and a couple of minutes after that, Julio pulled back
- 1:23:19into the small parking lot next to the wing. I
- 1:23:22couldn't believe what I had just seen. This hole should
- 1:23:25have been planned by Amy. Why I couldn't understand. Then
- 1:23:30I realized my scar. My scar would be the only
- 1:23:34noteworthy thing on the back of my body. However, I
- 1:23:37knew for a fact that my towel covered it up,
- 1:23:39considering how close it was to my tailbone. Also, my
- 1:23:42scar was a straight line. Wasn't that impressive? If anything,
- 1:23:45I thought to myself, Boris's crescent stab wound would be
- 1:23:49much more impressive. Then it hit me. I couldn't believe
- 1:23:54that this little detail slipped from my mind. I never
- 1:23:57considered it important, and none of my coworkers mentioned it
- 1:24:00at all to me, despite how seemingly obvious it was. Sharino,
- 1:24:05is my name unscrambled? And would you like?
- 1:24:08Speaker 1: No ship?
- 1:24:09Speaker 2: That is an effective Guess what?
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: Guess what.
- 1:24:14Speaker 3: It's like?
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: Not even cleverly scrambled though, Sino like that, Like it's
- 1:24:20h R It's it's basically Harrison, It's the last, It's
- 1:24:25the last. Three There could have been a better name, though,
- 1:24:31Rash Rash. I wonder if you could do something, m
- 1:24:37There's got to be a better name. Rahould like Homer Simpson.
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: The rash Rhino. You'd miss a H should be missing
- 1:24:53an H. But it's pretty close.
- 1:24:54Speaker 1: I'll take it. Before I could.
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: Even process any more information, I heard Amy yelling from
- 1:25:00down the hallway, announcing that my shirt was ready. Shut
- 1:25:03off the computer and briskly made my way back to
- 1:25:05the kitchen. Made it just in time because she arrived
- 1:25:07in the kitchen about five seconds later. I thanked her,
- 1:25:10trying to hide my fears best as I could, and
- 1:25:12I raced back to the apartment. I grabbed my keys
- 1:25:14and dashed to my car, only for my worst nightmare
- 1:25:16to be realized. My tires were slashed. I he was
- 1:25:20back inside the apartment. Julio wasn't anywhere, but I saw
- 1:25:22his car in the parking lot. Honestly, though I was
- 1:25:25glad he wasn't there, I saw his name in the
- 1:25:27group chat. He was in this shit just as much
- 1:25:29as they were. I didn't know what to do well
- 1:25:32in the way of transportation was now ruined, and I
- 1:25:34didn't know the woods well enough to try and run
- 1:25:36out into them. I was hyperventilating on the verge of tears,
- 1:25:39so I drank some water and began to plan out
- 1:25:40my next steps. I had to stay calm, but I
- 1:25:42also needed to be quick if I wanted to get
- 1:25:44out of there. After about twenty minutes of debating what
- 1:25:47would be the best course of action, I decided I
- 1:25:49should at least call for help, whether it was the police,
- 1:25:52my parents, or somebody. I want to grab my phone.
- 1:25:55Then I began to feel awful. My head started spinning,
- 1:25:58my vision blurred. I began to feel sick and week
- 1:26:01so I remembered before passing out. I jolted awake at
- 1:26:04an unknown hour. I didn't know how long it had
- 1:26:07been out, but it appeared to have been a while.
- 1:26:10I found myself on the floor near the couch. There
- 1:26:12were no lights on in the apartment, but I saw
- 1:26:14an orange light coming from outside. Cautiously peeked out the window. Outside.
- 1:26:19Surrounding a campfire were the counselors and other staff. I
- 1:26:22saw Julio, Amy and the other staff members I recognized,
- 1:26:25all sitting around the fire talking. Graham wasn't anywhere in sight,
- 1:26:29neither was Carson. I saw a Percy near the back
- 1:26:32of the group. There were also no campers inside for
- 1:26:36I could even react or try to figure out what
- 1:26:38was going on. My phone, Danmed checked my phone to
- 1:26:41see that it was a text from a number I
- 1:26:42didn't have on my cell phone. It read it read,
- 1:26:46get out of the apartment through your bedroom window. There's
- 1:26:49a bicycle located right outside the window. Take the path
- 1:26:53behind your building and bite towards redacted using your phone
- 1:26:56for directions. Make sure you're not followed. That's got to
- 1:26:59be grand right, Yeah, I think it's Graham. Yeah. Just
- 1:27:04as I finished reading that text, I felt that familiar
- 1:27:06feeling of having eyes on me again. I didn't want
- 1:27:09to look up, but I forced myself to. Everyone at
- 1:27:12the campfire was now watching me. We're all looking at
- 1:27:15the window, staring at me with hateful, evil looks on
- 1:27:19their faces. Immediately bolted toward the bedroom window practically ripped
- 1:27:24its screen off. Aside was a large yellow bike resting
- 1:27:27against the wall. Hopped on and started pedaling as fast
- 1:27:29as I could down the back path with it, eventually
- 1:27:32leading me into the dark forest. H four end of
- 1:27:36part three. You know what this is like?
- 1:27:39Speaker 1: A I mean, I would say like a novice kind
- 1:27:42of story of writing and stuff like, there's obviously clonky
- 1:27:44Schurf and Charina or whatever. But I will say it's
- 1:27:47just I'm having fun reading this one in the same
- 1:27:49way that like it's fun reading Goosebumps or like that.
- 1:27:52This feels like a very r slash no sleep like
- 1:27:54fun vibe story. It is a fun campfire story. Yeah,
- 1:27:58that's and I think that's we just haven't read something
- 1:28:01like that in a while. And it's just been a
- 1:28:03lot of fun.
- 1:28:04Speaker 2: There has been admittedly a lot of intensity as of late,
- 1:28:07been a lot of heavy topics and stuff. So every
- 1:28:09now and then just fun is good.
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: We're not out of the woods yet. Though we're not
- 1:28:14out of the woods.
- 1:28:15Speaker 2: The first three parts have been fun. The first three
- 1:28:16parts have been enjoyable.
- 1:28:17Speaker 1: Part four of five, though I mean it's moving along.
- 1:28:19I will say that it is. It is Part four.
- 1:28:24Speaker 2: I pedaled as fast as I could until I reached
- 1:28:26the location, which turned out to be an abandoned grocery
- 1:28:28stores parking lot, and the parking lot was a white
- 1:28:31truck with its headlights turned off. And then got a
- 1:28:33text that read I'll come to you. Stay put the
- 1:28:36driver's side door opened and out came a man who
- 1:28:38appeared to be in his thirties. And I saw him.
- 1:28:41I felt like I had seen them somewhere before. His
- 1:28:44face was one that sparked recognition, but I couldn't pinpoint
- 1:28:46where I'd seen him before.
- 1:28:47Speaker 1: Did they follow you?
- 1:28:48Speaker 2: No, I don't think so, I said, still trying to
- 1:28:51catch my breath.
- 1:28:52Speaker 1: Who are you and why did you save me? Names Doug,
- 1:28:56I saved you because those guys are crazy, and also
- 1:28:58wanted to give you some answers. You're probably wondering what
- 1:29:01the hell is going on at Camp oak Wood. I mean,
- 1:29:03shit's pretty weird. Some guy broke into my apartment. Another
- 1:29:07guy stabbed himself, and I found security footage of my
- 1:29:09own bedroom in the camp in the camp director's house.
- 1:29:12Oh yeah, that'd be Amy. Yeah. She likes to act
- 1:29:16like a big brother quite a bit. Gee, no surprise there. Anyway,
- 1:29:21I think I have an idea of what's going on. Okay, well,
- 1:29:25you can tell me what's what you know later, but
- 1:29:27I want to give you a clear picture of what's
- 1:29:28going on.
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: A debt responds, Doug began talking the.
- 1:29:32Speaker 1: Camp the camp franchise you work for is part of
- 1:29:35a cult called Horse's Harmony. That guy who founded your camp,
- 1:29:38Horse oak Wood, started a way back in the day
- 1:29:40after he defeated a tribe in a battle. He then
- 1:29:43proceeded to take the tribe's teachings, tweaked about ninety five
- 1:29:46percent of it, and rebranded it as his own religion,
- 1:29:49and thus he began his work as a pastor for
- 1:29:51his own community. Horse prophesied that the world would be
- 1:29:53extremely messed up place once he was gone, and that
- 1:29:56his followers mission would be to obtain world peace. However,
- 1:30:00the process of how to obtain that was nothing. A bird. However,
- 1:30:05the process on how to obtain that was nothing you
- 1:30:07would have to have expected. Orris claimed that the only
- 1:30:10way to obtain it was to conjure his spirit, and
- 1:30:13then the body he was possessed inside of would have
- 1:30:15to die. According to him, there were two ways to
- 1:30:18do this process. The first way is for someone to
- 1:30:21conjure a spirit by themselves and then die, either by
- 1:30:24suicide or by being killed by someone else. The second
- 1:30:27way is to conjure the spirit into another person by
- 1:30:29performing a ritual and then sacrifice the victim. Anyway, Horace
- 1:30:33eventually died the day after he died, that Relo princep
- 1:30:37killed Franz Ferdinand.
- 1:30:40Speaker 6: That's what tricker her the World War One, he thought.
- 1:31:00Speaker 2: France for hand cut shot, sending the world into World
- 1:31:04War one. Oh god, just look just for anyone out
- 1:31:12there riding. If you ever get to a point in
- 1:31:14your story where you are suddenly like, well, here comes
- 1:31:17the paragraphs where I have to explain things, don't just
- 1:31:21don't just don't do that. It's fine if the audience
- 1:31:24has questions. Good, that's where they theorize. It's where it
- 1:31:28is good to not explain things sometimes.
- 1:31:31Speaker 1: Which made his prophecy all the more believable. Pretty soon
- 1:31:35the entire world started turning into an all out violence
- 1:31:38in all out violent place, wars between countries, outcry within
- 1:31:42them so much hate, and to spare everywhere. His members
- 1:31:45never worried, though they knew one day a spirit would
- 1:31:48be conjured and they would finally obtain world peace.
- 1:31:51Speaker 2: You know, it's really funny in my head because like
- 1:31:54because Harrison's on a bicycle and the guy steps out
- 1:31:59of a car and he's like, Okay, they could be
- 1:32:01here any minute now. I'm going to very quickly tell
- 1:32:04you about this cult and as he's explaining it, like
- 1:32:06you can see their flashlights in the woods getting closer,
- 1:32:09and Harrison's like, oh, can we.
- 1:32:12Speaker 1: Hear this in the car? Now, here's the funny part
- 1:32:17about this whole thing. Horse. They have told them about
- 1:32:21that they needed to conjure spirit, but he never explained
- 1:32:24how to correctly.
- 1:32:25Speaker 2: Do so.
- 1:32:27Speaker 6: That that's really cool.
- 1:32:28Speaker 2: Here, get in the car.
- 1:32:30Speaker 1: His reason why was because he claimed that world peace
- 1:32:32would already be a near impossible task, so or to
- 1:32:35obtain it, his followers needed to figure it out how
- 1:32:37to do it on their own. That's really cool, dog.
- 1:32:42So many years later and I made many years went
- 1:32:45by without any clue of how to conjure horse. Then
- 1:32:48about twenty five years ago, a prominent member of the
- 1:32:50cult named Ferris Kurt made a breakthrough. He claimed that
- 1:32:58the correct way to conjure horse was to signe of
- 1:33:00prayer and horses self made Bible, along with carving a
- 1:33:03crescent shape wound into your body. During the Great Battle
- 1:33:06Horse was in he received a stab wound from one
- 1:33:09of the tribe, one of the tribal men that was
- 1:33:11shaped like a crescent moon. As his life went on,
- 1:33:14he believed to be an important sign that all of
- 1:33:16his followers should remember. Now, in hindsight, it wasn't that
- 1:33:19I didn't.
- 1:33:22Speaker 2: Now.
- 1:33:23Speaker 1: Kurt was well known throughout all the camps and members
- 1:33:25located around the world, and when he made the supposed breakthrough,
- 1:33:29many members started performing the process.
- 1:33:31Speaker 8: This is such a long paragraph, Whether on themselves or
- 1:33:34another people, whether themselves, whether on the whether on themselves
- 1:33:41or another people.
- 1:33:42Speaker 1: Well, long story short, is a long story short, well,
- 1:33:46long story short. His breakthrough ended up being false. Many members,
- 1:33:50out of excitement that it was finally solved after all
- 1:33:53this time, either committed suicide. Fact they either committed committed
- 1:33:59or we could have got you commanded committed. He either
- 1:34:02committed suicide after they believed Horace was inside the bodies,
- 1:34:06or were arrested after killing it. Is it sacrificed after it?
- 1:34:10Is it sacrificial victims. There were also members who left
- 1:34:13the cult, not wanting to be involved anymore, out of
- 1:34:15fear that they would be connected to the crimes. Horace's
- 1:34:18Harmony lost almost eighty percent of its followers in a
- 1:34:20short span of time, so many people fell for it. Kurt,
- 1:34:24realizing what he had done, and also realizing that many
- 1:34:27members were now calling for his head, managed to escape
- 1:34:30the cult and went into hiding. He hasn't been He
- 1:34:34hasn't been seen since. Even his ex girlfriend, who is
- 1:34:37also well known member of the cult, has supposedly never
- 1:34:40been able to find him.
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: That's definitely called a friend, maybe a body, someone to
- 1:34:46be in the parking lot with us.
- 1:34:47Speaker 1: Just listen, reception. If I wanted to call the police.
- 1:34:51Long story short, they are see the story short. Long
- 1:34:56story short. Even though Star Front long story short. Even
- 1:35:02though Kurt may have been wrong initially, many people believe
- 1:35:05they did have to recite the sermon, but it had
- 1:35:07to be the right one. There are over three thousand
- 1:35:10pages in this book, so there would be a lot
- 1:35:12of stuff to dig through and figure out. Go ahead,
- 1:35:20I stood there and disciplately. Yeah, take that in.
- 1:35:25Speaker 2: Just did a parking lot just standing around. Uh Okay,
- 1:35:29So I was granted, I was like meming during that
- 1:35:32whole thing. But so this original horse guy made a
- 1:35:39cult based off a native religion. After he slaughtered them,
- 1:35:42and then after he dies, a bunch of other cult
- 1:35:44leaders come forward, and these the people from the camp
- 1:35:47are their followers. Right. Yeah, that's pretty much everything that
- 1:35:51was said without as many words right, Yeah, Yeah, I
- 1:35:57stood there in disbelief while listening to everything does Doug
- 1:35:59was explaining to me. Honestly, couldn't tell if this guy
- 1:36:02was being serious or not. Still kept quiet and let
- 1:36:05him continue. Oh he's not doned.
- 1:36:08Speaker 1: Long story short. The killings of suicides kept happening, and
- 1:36:12long story short, more members kept joining, and those members
- 1:36:15would marry and have children. Long story short, that's one
- 1:36:18of the reasons why the camps were set up about
- 1:36:20thirty years ago. Sit in the car. That's one long
- 1:36:26story short, we need to get out of the It
- 1:36:29was so the members children were aged five to ten
- 1:36:32years old could learn about the teachings of Horace Harmony,
- 1:36:34so the dad was an original member of Horace's Harmony,
- 1:36:37and then go home and continue practicing the religion. The
- 1:36:39camps were also made so it would be easier for
- 1:36:42all the members located around the world to stay connected.
- 1:36:44And long story short, I'll say that many of the
- 1:36:46deaths had stopped, with the last notable one happening at
- 1:36:49our camp five years ago.
- 1:36:51Speaker 2: Sharon, many of them.
- 1:36:53Speaker 1: Yeah, Sharon Ida Rabington. Long story short. She was a
- 1:36:57counselor killed here when she was convinced that she was
- 1:37:00discovered the right page number in prayer. Long story short.
- 1:37:04Like all the other documented deaths, it didn't work and
- 1:37:07the camp came under fire again. Yet they still were
- 1:37:10able to rebuild and move on. How has no one
- 1:37:13stopped them yet? Long story short, I really can't explain,
- 1:37:19but more than likely there are high power people involved
- 1:37:23with them that probably helped hide the colt from the
- 1:37:25outside world politicians, police, et cetera. So why are you
- 1:37:30explaining all this to me? Long story short, You're most
- 1:37:36likely the next person to be killed when they attempt
- 1:37:38to make.
- 1:37:40Speaker 2: Take you. I'll be safe, but I could take the truck,
- 1:37:43so just hand me long story short, Long story short.
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: I promise.
- 1:37:51Speaker 2: As soon as driver.
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: Story short. There has been some talk that someone inside
- 1:37:55your camp successfully conjured Horse by themselves, And now you
- 1:37:59would think that the person who conjured Horse would just
- 1:38:02kill themselves so that everyone else could obtain world peace,
- 1:38:05and long story short, the plan is for them to
- 1:38:08meet them in the middle of the rituals. What I
- 1:38:10mean is this somebody Person A successfully as Horse possessed
- 1:38:14them and then performs the victim ritual on person B.
- 1:38:18Long story short, Person B is killed and the world
- 1:38:21peace finally comes. Long story short, It's basically both rituals
- 1:38:25being performed at different points in time, the same process
- 1:38:28for both. Jesus Christ.
- 1:38:35Speaker 2: Okay, that whole like, well, person A gets possessed the
- 1:38:38person B. That sounds like something we would say making
- 1:38:41fun of a convoluted ritual. I mean, like the person
- 1:38:44A has to get possessed and then they have to
- 1:38:46kill person B and so again. If you feel they
- 1:38:48need to explain something in the story, don't if it's that,
- 1:38:51If it's that awkward to shove in Jesus Christ, I said,
- 1:38:58the seriousness of the situation hitting me hard.
- 1:39:01Speaker 1: I could have sworn they were after me because I
- 1:39:04was Horse resurrected or something.
- 1:39:06Speaker 2: What yes, looking for plagues.
- 1:39:10Speaker 1: My name's Harrison, and Sharno is my name with some
- 1:39:13letters rearranged. I also have a stab one of my back,
- 1:39:17though it is a straight line and not a crescent. No.
- 1:39:22Long story short. Horse never prophesied that he'd come back
- 1:39:26in a resurrected form. Long story short, Long story short.
- 1:39:34He always explained from the beginning that he would need
- 1:39:36to be conjured and then possessed someone's body. And long
- 1:39:40story short, your name being an anagram for Shirrino is
- 1:39:42just crazy coincidence. Besides, nothing like Horace. If someone were
- 1:39:48to be resurrected long story short, they most likely look
- 1:39:52the same. So why the fuck am I a target revenge? What? Well?
- 1:40:00Long story short? Besides the obvious trying to obtain world
- 1:40:03peace bid, from what I understand, you are a target
- 1:40:06to also get revenge on you. I haven't done a
- 1:40:09single damn thing to them that it must be someone
- 1:40:12you know. Did you ever have family or friends that
- 1:40:16worked at one of the camps or was it Camper?
- 1:40:18Speaker 2: Oh you gotta be kidding me, was the first thought
- 1:40:22that forest in mind.
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I do. Long story short. Then I would
- 1:40:30talk to them and get some info. I wish I
- 1:40:32could tell you the exact reason, but it hasn't been
- 1:40:35explicitly stated. How do you know all this?
- 1:40:38Speaker 2: It was a question I'd been wanting to ask since
- 1:40:40he began his monologue on the history of Horace's harmony.
- 1:40:44Speaker 1: Long story short, I have an inside guy reporting to
- 1:40:47me on what's going on, and I've had family killed
- 1:40:50by these guys. Long story short, I plan on taking
- 1:40:55this whole shit showed down. Long story short, Well, who
- 1:41:01is it? Long story short, No, no, i'ma now that
- 1:41:07I'm gonna tell you, I don't want to risk your safety.
- 1:41:11I will tell you this though. There are two other
- 1:41:13employees that you can't that also aren't a part of
- 1:41:16this cult. It's one of the older workers and his son.
- 1:41:20Might seem weird that a cult would hire two people
- 1:41:23who don't believe in anything they believe, but you can't
- 1:41:26did just that. There's probably more to it. Long story short.
- 1:41:31If you can find out who they are, they can
- 1:41:34help you.
- 1:41:36Speaker 2: Have you been smoking correct tonight? Sir?
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: We've been here for forty minutes long long story short.
- 1:41:41Speaker 2: Thankfully they've gotten lost twice. But I've seen the flashlights
- 1:41:44go over the hill three times now, so they have
- 1:41:47to my process of elimination. They're gonna be in this
- 1:41:49parking lot sooner than later.
- 1:41:51Speaker 1: Long story short, I'm addicted to ketamine and I love opioids.
- 1:42:00Speaker 2: I then heard a text alert, and Doug pulled out
- 1:42:02his phone to read what was on the screen.
- 1:42:04Speaker 1: Look, sorry, I have to end it here, but he
- 1:42:07used to get it going. Your best bet is to
- 1:42:09keep peddling away from here and go into hiding. Long
- 1:42:12story short, you have a massive target on your back,
- 1:42:15and he will not stop anything in order to complete
- 1:42:17their complete their end goal.
- 1:42:19Speaker 2: Just as he was getting back into his white truck,
- 1:42:21I yelled out to him.
- 1:42:23Speaker 1: Oh, have I supposed to trust you? Long story short,
- 1:42:30that's up for you to decide. But if you didn't
- 1:42:32trust me, then why would you have stayed here for
- 1:42:35the last few minutes talking with me when you know why,
- 1:42:38know why they are coming after you? Long story short,
- 1:42:41I saved your ass. It led you to a pretty
- 1:42:44well hidden location in these woods. Long story short, just
- 1:42:49think about that boy, he's not gonna take him with them.
- 1:42:57Once and told him all this and he's like, well,
- 1:42:59good luck with that.
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: Out he just gets.
- 1:43:03Speaker 1: He just wasted thirty minutes of his escape time just
- 1:43:09making it up.
- 1:43:10Speaker 2: Also, I imagine it's a red Harry, But if it
- 1:43:12turns out to be true, it's like, oh, my name's
- 1:43:14an antagram. And he's like, well, that's a coincidence. That's
- 1:43:16gonna be the stupidest.
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: Like that.
- 1:43:23Speaker 2: I guess the scars a coincidence. They're really just mad
- 1:43:26at your dad. It's gonna be the most frustrated. As
- 1:43:31he got in, he turned back and yelled at me, oh,
- 1:43:34by the way, he yelled out.
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: If you mess up the victim ritual after someone already
- 1:43:39has horse insided them, Horace will disappear again. That's one
- 1:43:43of the theories I've heard. Long story short, may want
- 1:43:47to use that to your advantage if you get caught. Also,
- 1:43:50long story short, I heard another theory that states for
- 1:43:54persons possessed by horse, they'd have the ability to appear
- 1:43:57physically as him. So yeah, long story short, trust no
- 1:44:01one that looks like him, though I doubt jorady trust
- 1:44:04that many people in this area. Good luck.
- 1:44:10Speaker 2: Sadly, I didn't hear anything he said after the first
- 1:44:13five words, because it's previously stated he was driving away.
- 1:44:17Speaker 1: The end of that was completely incomprehensible. Oh by the way, hey,
- 1:44:22I swater, could you stop if you mess up the
- 1:44:24victim ritual after someone's.
- 1:44:29Speaker 3: What way?
- 1:44:32Speaker 2: That was really crucial?
- 1:44:34Speaker 1: Come back and tell me that.
- 1:44:35Speaker 2: But can you take me with you.
- 1:44:52Speaker 1: They're trying to kill the gonna fucking kill me. Long
- 1:44:57story short, you're bad rack. People are stabbing themselves that
- 1:45:03they've been talking. I'm so scared. Please come back.
- 1:45:09Speaker 6: Why is there a grocery.
- 1:45:11Speaker 3: Store in the middle of the wood.
- 1:45:15Speaker 1: Because the bears gotta eat two kids. He gets the
- 1:45:21malt to death by agree because the Keeplers and the Bears,
- 1:45:29and that's a story for another time. Long story. The Woods.
- 1:45:36Speaker 2: Putting long story short in the one legitimate time it
- 1:45:39was in the story was was cruel to do that
- 1:45:41to us. That was like mockery. Okay, so I'm gonna
- 1:45:45I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that
- 1:45:47the rest of the story would have operated just fine,
- 1:45:49and everything would have worked if you removed that entire interaction.
- 1:45:52If Doug doesn't exist, you take that dialogue out, the
- 1:45:54story will problem.
- 1:45:55Speaker 1: You could literally have Harrison just look out the window
- 1:45:59and there's a bike and he's like, fuck it, I'm leaving,
- 1:46:01and then he just go you know what I mean,
- 1:46:04and then the next stay just happened.
- 1:46:05Speaker 2: And then at the end, if he like uses information
- 1:46:07Doug gave him to stop the ritual or whatever, we
- 1:46:09could have figured that out and something.
- 1:46:13Speaker 1: I have a feeling Doug's him to come back, but
- 1:46:14he's a bad guy and he's gonna be like, what, Doug,
- 1:46:17I trusted you, And he's like, well, locks do a short, kid,
- 1:46:19You shouldn't. You should be more careful on who you
- 1:46:22who you choose to be friends with. It's gonna be
- 1:46:25like one of those things.
- 1:46:25Speaker 3: I'd be like.
- 1:46:27Speaker 2: Something about imagining Harrison is like the short little just
- 1:46:33in a parking lot, just like I'm so scared the
- 1:46:37truck as the truck's tail lights.
- 1:46:39Speaker 1: Are gonna he's just standing in the dark. Good luck, kid.
- 1:46:42I hope they don't splice you up from inside out?
- 1:46:45Could I just ride with you?
- 1:46:48Speaker 3: Ude?
- 1:46:48Speaker 1: It's a truck, I see. What's so weird is like
- 1:46:52he's like, I gave you a pretty good hiding spot
- 1:46:54out here in the woods. He's like, why don't you
- 1:46:55just drive me to another city or a fucking so why.
- 1:46:59Speaker 2: Am I here right now?
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: They started World War one? Kid? The World War One
- 1:47:07thing is that's unbelievable.
- 1:47:10Speaker 2: It's unbelievably lame. It's also insane that uh like from
- 1:47:14that moment on it progressively got worse.
- 1:47:17Speaker 1: I'll tell you what though. This is why I love
- 1:47:18these old Internet stories, is like they're so funny. Like
- 1:47:22it's so funny, like someone creatively was sitting here and
- 1:47:27they were like, oh, yeah, well, this horse is harmony
- 1:47:31is the reason that World War one started? And then
- 1:47:33he probably told that to somebody in his life, well
- 1:47:36in between an NFL game or a Mass Singer episode,
- 1:47:39and they're like, that's really cool, that's a great idea.
- 1:47:44Speaker 2: It around. He's like, I know what I'll do. I'll
- 1:47:46bring Germany into this.
- 1:47:48Speaker 1: I just like, yeah. He's just like, he's like, so
- 1:47:50then that started World War One? And he's then he
- 1:47:52like tabs over and he's just like, did anyone else
- 1:47:55think that? You know? Dennis Rodman on the Mass Singer
- 1:47:59was fucking sweet. That was really good performance. Send anyways?
- 1:48:03Where was I? That's right? Exposition dump? I love that? Yeah,
- 1:48:09anyone else Drew Brees should put a gun in his
- 1:48:11mouth and kill himself since we lost the fucking playoffs again.
- 1:48:15Send anyways. Yeah, so you need to be long story shorts.
- 1:48:20Speaker 2: You should just a man completely unburdened. I'm having a
- 1:48:26good time. I'm gonna bring you know what, I'm gonna
- 1:48:28bring Franz Ferdinand into this because I want to.
- 1:48:31Speaker 1: He made a story about a cult who started World
- 1:48:33War One and then he literally did not write another
- 1:48:36story again. And all he did with and he was like,
- 1:48:40fuck writing that shit's too easy, bored. He's like, I'm
- 1:48:43going on NFL and mass singer subreddits, and I'm I'm
- 1:48:46conversating with people there. I want I want to get
- 1:48:50a drink with this guy.
- 1:48:51Speaker 2: He had a bunch of critical guys in the comments,
- 1:48:53and he was like, I literally don't need you.
- 1:48:56Speaker 1: I have to Yeah, He's just like, who gives a
- 1:48:59fuck about these gay short stories, dude, I want to
- 1:49:01talk about fucking spring training.
- 1:49:04Speaker 2: You think people are gonna read these things?
- 1:49:06Speaker 1: Is that what you think?
- 1:49:07Speaker 2: You think there's good? You think there's gonna be a podcast.
- 1:49:10Speaker 1: A hard spring ahead of them. That's all I'm worried
- 1:49:14about this.
- 1:49:15Speaker 2: I made this while I was drunk on Friday night,
- 1:49:17and you think there's gonna be some good couple of
- 1:49:19guys are gonna come along five years from now and
- 1:49:21they're gonna read this and try to pick it apart
- 1:49:24for like its literature. Merit that.
- 1:49:28Speaker 1: That makes him sound so cool though, being blackout drunk,
- 1:49:31and he's like, I'm writing a story just like post it.
- 1:49:34That's so fucking cool.
- 1:49:40Speaker 2: I'm gonna post it.
- 1:49:41Speaker 1: Honestly, I gotta say that I'll save the rest of
- 1:49:44her after this story's on. We're almost done.
- 1:49:46Speaker 2: He then started his truck and drove off leaving me
- 1:49:48alone in the parking lot. I still didn't completely trust
- 1:49:52this guy, given that he just abandoned me in a part.
- 1:49:55Speaker 1: He get his number because he wanted to camp with
- 1:49:58the information.
- 1:50:01Speaker 2: These guys are going to come along and ask where
- 1:50:03he got his number. Really, that's their problem with it.
- 1:50:05They're going to ask where he got his number. But
- 1:50:08I trusted him over everyone else at the camp. Heck,
- 1:50:12I couldn't even trust Graham at this point though he
- 1:50:14hasn't shown himself to be a huge believer in this stuff,
- 1:50:17but who knows what he does in private. He could
- 1:50:20have a shrine to Horace Oakwood for all I know
- 1:50:21in his apartment. But if he isn't, maybe he was
- 1:50:24the old guy Doug was referring to. But he never
- 1:50:27mentioned he had a son, so I wasn't sure about
- 1:50:29that either. All I knew was that I needed to
- 1:50:32get out of these woods, figure out my next steps.
- 1:50:35Back on the bike and started pedaling back down the
- 1:50:37highway that was connected to the parking lot. After about
- 1:50:40an hour of biking, I needed to take a breather.
- 1:50:42I hopped off and went into the tree lines surrounding
- 1:50:44the highway. Thankfully, it was completely dead at night, so
- 1:50:47I didn't see any cars coming up and down the
- 1:50:49two way road the whole hour I was biking. However,
- 1:50:52all I could think about was my dad. He claimed
- 1:50:55he had been at this camp before as a counselor,
- 1:50:57but must have done something so horrific that they're after
- 1:50:59me now, even though it had been years and time
- 1:51:02usually heals the wounds, unless, of course, it was really bad.
- 1:51:07I needed answers and needed them now. So, even though
- 1:51:09it was the middle of the night, called my dad
- 1:51:12after the fact that he can call and he hasn't
- 1:51:14called the police here, but whatever, He didn't call the
- 1:51:19police because I didn't want him to call the police.
- 1:51:21I didn't want that to happen, so I didn't ride it, duh.
- 1:51:25After a few attempts, he finally answered, Hello.
- 1:51:28Speaker 1: Dad, it's Harrison. I needed to tell me the truth.
- 1:51:32Speaker 3: Harrison is the middle of the night. Unless you're dying
- 1:51:34and need help, I'm gonna go back to bed. The
- 1:51:37last thing I need is to wake up your mother.
- 1:51:39Speaker 1: What have you been hiding for me?
- 1:51:40Speaker 3: What are you talking about?
- 1:51:42Speaker 2: He asked, It's tone becoming more annoyed with every passing second.
- 1:51:45Speaker 1: You said you worked at this camp. This place is
- 1:51:48a goddamn Colton.
- 1:51:49Speaker 2: You know it.
- 1:51:49Speaker 1: They're after me because of something you did. What the
- 1:51:52hell did you do?
- 1:51:53Speaker 2: There's a long pause, and I mean long. It's been
- 1:51:56about a minute before he spoke again.
- 1:51:58Speaker 1: I'm so sorry, Harrison. I thought that part of my
- 1:52:01life was over. I thought I could get away d
- 1:52:04one of those cults stabbed me as a child. Did
- 1:52:07you also name me Harrison? Which is Sharino, but the
- 1:52:09letters are rearranged. Now tell me the truth.
- 1:52:14Speaker 2: I expected him to tell me the reason, but instead
- 1:52:17he told me something else that threw another curveball into
- 1:52:19this whole saga.
- 1:52:20Speaker 3: I shouldn't have told them that I found a way.
- 1:52:22They listened to me, and they got so much worse.
- 1:52:25So many people blame me, and I thought I had escaped.
- 1:52:29I did everything, But I guess naming you Harrison was
- 1:52:31a clue on who I really was.
- 1:52:34Speaker 2: Although wait, although I wanted to leave that part of.
- 1:52:40Speaker 3: Me behind, I just couldn't. There's too much part of
- 1:52:43my life. You're the only boy in the world named Harrison.
- 1:52:48Speaker 1: Wait wait, wait, no, Harrison, listen, I'm sorry I named
- 1:52:51you that. You're the only boy in the world.
- 1:52:54Speaker 2: Hold on that hold on, hold on, No, let me
- 1:52:56get this straight for a second. I am in the
- 1:52:59middle of god nowhere, on the side of a highway.
- 1:53:03You knew about this whole thing, and not only when
- 1:53:07I told you I was getting a job there. Did
- 1:53:09you not say, I don't know, hey, Son, maybe don't
- 1:53:12go to the super ancient cult that wants to kill
- 1:53:15you that you knew about.
- 1:53:16Speaker 1: No, Son, no, you know what my head, Harrison, for
- 1:53:21no reason, I'm gonna I'm finished. This was a part
- 1:53:26of your life, all right. I'm finna apologize for that one.
- 1:53:30My goofy ash should have even done that. I'm sorry, Brouh.
- 1:53:34Speaker 3: First, but they never would leave me alone, so I
- 1:53:37hope that well, maybe you being there would finally get
- 1:53:39them off my back. So I was tired of it.
- 1:53:45Speaker 1: I'm so sorry, Like I was, like, so, I've just
- 1:53:47sacrificed you. So so let me go. This is not
- 1:53:50only do you name me, Harrison, you threw me to
- 1:53:52the dog. Bruh, try to save yourself, Bruh. I know
- 1:53:56I'd be acting goofy for real. I'm sorry, Bruh.
- 1:54:07Speaker 2: He's got now. I imagine him. He's wearing like like
- 1:54:10those DC shoes and he's got like gold chain on.
- 1:54:13It's like whatever that that hair that like gen z
- 1:54:16TikTokers have, like the curly hair. It's like bruh. He
- 1:54:20keeps doing the arm thing, the gun thing, about to
- 1:54:23air this out. He then began quietly sobbing. But I
- 1:54:28didn't even get to do it. He's think else. While
- 1:54:30listening to my dad, I hadn't noticed that a car
- 1:54:32and pulled up alongside the road. When I finally didn't
- 1:54:35notice it, I saw blue lights blaring on top of
- 1:54:37the car. It was a police car. The officer turned
- 1:54:40on his flashlight and pointed at me and the phone
- 1:54:42call and began shoulding my eyes.
- 1:54:43Speaker 1: What are you doing, officer Marino? How do you know
- 1:54:47my name? It's it's me Harrison Tracy. My apartment at
- 1:54:51Camp Oakwood was broken into a couple of days ago.
- 1:54:53You asked for my statement.
- 1:54:55Speaker 2: You have out a surprise, oh right or turning off
- 1:54:59his flashlight, he led me back out onto the side
- 1:55:01of the road to talk to me. Began to tell
- 1:55:03him about what was going on. It basically ended up
- 1:55:05hiding on the side of a highway in the middle
- 1:55:07of the night.
- 1:55:08Speaker 1: Okay, don't worry, Amy, will take care of you.
- 1:55:11Speaker 2: I looked up at him, dumbfounded by what he said.
- 1:55:13What And then it hit me like a bullet to
- 1:55:16the skull. I remembered what Graham had told me when
- 1:55:19Amy said he would take care of Percy.
- 1:55:21Speaker 1: Amy doesn't like the police involved.
- 1:55:23Speaker 2: If Amy didn't like having the police involved, why would
- 1:55:25she have called them specifically for me? You took Sherlock
- 1:55:29a bit to put that one together.
- 1:55:30Speaker 1: Yeah, wah wait, what you're evil?
- 1:55:34Speaker 8: I'm so scared.
- 1:55:35Speaker 2: I looked up Aser Marino and a soul killing smile
- 1:55:39formed on his face for I could even react to
- 1:55:41pulled a pistil, have his belt pointed at my head.
- 1:55:43Speaker 1: Now, come on, Harrison, it's time.
- 1:55:46Speaker 2: I then heard footsteps behind me, and just before the
- 1:55:48world faded back into darkness again, I finally remembered where
- 1:55:51I'd seen Doug before. He was the man in the
- 1:55:53painting in the chapel at Camp oak Wood.
- 1:55:56Speaker 1: Uh oh, Mark five, oh oh.
- 1:56:00Speaker 2: Doug looks like yeah, sure, you know right, yeah.
- 1:56:03Speaker 1: Yeah, And I remember I remember Doug was like, hey,
- 1:56:06don't trust anybody that looks like him the painting.
- 1:56:10Speaker 2: He's like, got it. If I see anyone that looks
- 1:56:12like this, highly specific painting. I remember, I'll let you.
- 1:56:15You'll be the first to know.
- 1:56:17Speaker 1: I saw it one time before I took a shit
- 1:56:19and a piss when I first got to the place
- 1:56:21in a dimly lit room. I remember as clear as day. Doug. Thanks, Okay, Doug,
- 1:56:27I'll never look at a painting again. I hate paintings now.
- 1:56:32Death with art, Doug, I'll never I'll look at it.
- 1:56:35Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:56:35Speaker 1: My dad, I think it wants to kill me, but
- 1:56:38I'm not sure. Doug. Yeah, my dad. My dad basically
- 1:56:40said that I was dead and he was really tired
- 1:56:42of went back to bed. It was awesome. I'll I'll
- 1:56:44be completely honest, Doug. I'm so scared right now, Doug.
- 1:56:49Your goovy ah, your goovy a for real.
- 1:56:53Speaker 2: It's funny to imagine. It's just like everyone walks up.
- 1:56:56It's like, Hi, I'm so scared. I keep forgetting that
- 1:57:00because I'm so scared. It's like the protagonist from the
- 1:57:03Abandoned Ship, Like every situation he gets any like shivers
- 1:57:06and throws up and runs. All right, that's the end
- 1:57:13of part before we're onto our final part five, and
- 1:57:17let's see the interesting conclusion to Camp oak Wood. I
- 1:57:21woke in a dimly lit room. The back of my
- 1:57:24head was aching terribly. When I attempted to touch it,
- 1:57:27I discovered that I couldn't move my arm. I looked
- 1:57:30over and found that my arms were tied up. I
- 1:57:32then looked down and found my legs were tied up too.
- 1:57:35They were tied up so that I was lying on
- 1:57:37my back, spread eagle on whatever I was on. Show
- 1:57:49me at the head place anything, okay, just kill me,
- 1:57:52kill me.
- 1:57:57Speaker 9: I'll do literally anything else.
- 1:58:01Speaker 2: You were talking about. Carving me with the knife. That's awesome.
- 1:58:04Speaker 1: Blast oh my breath till I die.
- 1:58:08Speaker 4: I'm gonna hold my bron til I die.
- 1:58:11Speaker 1: Oh hold my.
- 1:58:24Speaker 2: Such a child, it's like a five year old.
- 1:58:30Speaker 1: Yeah, walk agather, Like, what's wrong with him? Well, he's
- 1:58:33passed out seven times from trying to hold my breath
- 1:58:39like spit over them.
- 1:58:43Speaker 2: I die, keeps waking up and trying to do It's
- 1:58:51really sick, Like he's so scared. He's reverting to like
- 1:59:03childhood strategy. Oh and maybe if I heard my.
- 1:59:08Speaker 1: Forgetting the twenty one. I don't why a teenager, but
- 1:59:11now he's twenty one years.
- 1:59:11Speaker 2: Old cause he keeps saying and doing things it's und
- 1:59:14like a teenager.
- 1:59:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:59:16Speaker 2: I then noticed that I wasn't even on the ground.
- 1:59:18The board that I was situated on was about six
- 1:59:20feet off the ground. The board slightly angled back. I
- 1:59:22also noticed I wasn't wearing any clothes except for my boxers.
- 1:59:26He's waking up, I heard someone say. I looked forward
- 1:59:29and saw that there was a massive crowd, at least
- 1:59:31two hundred people standing there watching me. I then recognized
- 1:59:35the room that I was in to be the chapel
- 1:59:36at the camp. In front of the large crowd, there
- 1:59:38were three figures wearing black robes, their faces shrouded with hoods.
- 1:59:42Once everyone's attention was on me, the three hooded figures
- 1:59:44lowered their hoods, and I immediately recognized them to be Amy, Carson,
- 1:59:47and Julio. Also recognized some of the faces in the crowd,
- 1:59:50including Officer Marino, Percy and the other employees of the camp.
- 1:59:54Speaker 7: Welcome back, Harrison, so glad you could join us for
- 1:59:57the special event.
- 1:59:59Speaker 1: Fuck you.
- 2:00:00Speaker 7: We understand during denial right now, but in just a
- 2:00:03few moments you will be our hero.
- 2:00:06Speaker 1: Because of you, we were finally obtaining world peace for
- 2:00:09everyone to experience, well except for you. You probably understand
- 2:00:13what's going on right now, but I'll quickly explain we
- 2:00:17are Horace's harmony.
- 2:00:21Speaker 2: I interrupted him.
- 2:00:22Speaker 1: I know everything Doug told me.
- 2:00:25Speaker 2: I like how Carson was ready to launch into the
- 2:00:28evil villain monologue. But it's like I've already got it,
- 2:00:31thank you very much. I expected mild confusion or something
- 2:00:34to that effect, but instead, Carson gave a loud laugh
- 2:00:36and smiled at me.
- 2:00:37Speaker 1: Oh, Doug, my good old outside guy, he's actually here
- 2:00:42with us right now.
- 2:00:43Speaker 2: You know, I mean when I where I referred to
- 2:00:46one of my guys on the outside.
- 2:00:48Speaker 1: Yeah, Doug, my good old outside guy.
- 2:00:51Speaker 2: Yeah, you know the way humans speak.
- 2:00:54Speaker 1: Where. Oh right, just give me a second.
- 2:00:58Speaker 2: I expected Doug to be dragon dinner or something, but
- 2:01:00that didn't happen, and said, I saw something that had
- 2:01:03I not seen with my own two eyes. I never believed.
- 2:01:06Carson's body began twitching, and then it started to change shape.
- 2:01:10His skinny body grew larger in size, his bald head,
- 2:01:13worn hair, and his wrinkles started to fade from his face.
- 2:01:16After about twenty seconds, his body stopped morphine standing now
- 2:01:19where Carson what's was was Doug?
- 2:01:22Speaker 1: Now?
- 2:01:22Speaker 2: Because remember Carson said in the message earlier, he was like,
- 2:01:25I found a way to let my body be a
- 2:01:26vessel for Horace. So now like Horace can like transform.
- 2:01:32Yeah in Doug's yeah, and Carson.
- 2:01:34Speaker 1: We're just getting into shape shifting.
- 2:01:36Speaker 2: It's no big yeah yeah yeah yeah. Oh.
- 2:01:38Speaker 1: Then hey, just in case Isaia, Andy bring that up,
- 2:01:41because he says, remember how I said if a person
- 2:01:44was possessed by horse, that they'd have the ability to
- 2:01:46change physically into him.
- 2:01:49Speaker 2: Yeah, of course. Yeah, I forget, I said, still stunned
- 2:01:53by what I just witnessed.
- 2:01:55Speaker 1: Well, Tata, by the way, I'd rather you now call
- 2:02:00me Horace, since that's who I am. You will see
- 2:02:03Carson soon.
- 2:02:05Speaker 2: We can now drop the name the naming style of
- 2:02:08Doug as we have now established Dougie Morris at the time, no.
- 2:02:12Speaker 1: Longer Carson nor Doug. I you will refer to me.
- 2:02:17Speaker 2: You know. I think I think you're right, Hunter, I
- 2:02:19think I was. I'm being critical on a story that's
- 2:02:21clearly I'm supposed to have fun with.
- 2:02:23Speaker 1: This is fun.
- 2:02:24Speaker 2: He's transforming. There's a big ritual happening. I am now
- 2:02:26in fun.
- 2:02:27Speaker 1: This is in a way, in a way, this is
- 2:02:29legitimately the Mass Singer with what's going on?
- 2:02:33Speaker 2: Is he not?
- 2:02:34Speaker 1: Is it not? Don't know who it is?
- 2:02:35Speaker 2: He is.
- 2:02:36Speaker 1: He has written a horror story based around his love
- 2:02:40for the Max Singer, and I want to say it
- 2:02:41was it was. It was unconscious. It was an unconscious decision.
- 2:02:45It was unconsciously.
- 2:02:47Speaker 2: Yeah, it was between the two pieces of fiction that
- 2:02:50he he has consumed, the Mass Singer and Harry Potter.
- 2:02:55All we have to do is that.
- 2:02:57Speaker 1: All we have to do now is have some kind
- 2:02:59of football reference. And it is all fucking coming together,
- 2:03:02and it is.
- 2:03:03Speaker 2: It is gonna be the most due bro.
- 2:03:05Speaker 1: I love it that has ever existed. I love it.
- 2:03:08Speaker 2: Oh. I was too stunned, to too confused to understand
- 2:03:12what he just said. Ladies and gentlemen, Horace spoke out
- 2:03:15to the crowd.
- 2:03:16Speaker 1: If you have a guess by now, Carson successfully conjured
- 2:03:19me by killing up my famous sermon from eighteen ninety
- 2:03:23two and then stabbing himself from the stomach to form
- 2:03:27a crescent shape wound.
- 2:03:28Speaker 5: After all this time, someone finally discovered it.
- 2:03:32Speaker 1: I'm disappointed, but at the same time proud as well.
- 2:03:36Speaker 2: It's almost sweet the author being like, well, what if
- 2:03:39they don't understand what happened. I don't want them to
- 2:03:41be confused.
- 2:03:42Speaker 1: He is literally revealing himself as the mass singer like
- 2:03:45that is the I just I love that. I love that.
- 2:03:49Speaker 2: Everyone either murmured an excitement or didn't react. Hulu and
- 2:03:52Amy didn't even flinch. They must have known all along.
- 2:03:55Speaker 1: So unless Horace or you like to call Doug had
- 2:03:59explained to you what is going on yet?
- 2:04:02Speaker 2: No, please, are you serious, Juleo said, unless he has
- 2:04:06an explained bad wholio.
- 2:04:09Speaker 1: Yeah, So unless Horace or who you like to call
- 2:04:12dog hadn't explained to you what's going on yet, we
- 2:04:15will be performing a ritual on you. As just mission.
- 2:04:19Speaker 5: Carson successfully conjured Horrors and is currently possessed by him.
- 2:04:23Speaker 1: Oh my god, and that's so funny. Long story short.
- 2:04:28Speaker 5: Carson successfully Horus and is currently possessed by him, So
- 2:04:32he completed the first part the first possible rasual listed
- 2:04:36process and long story short, you might think that since
- 2:04:40Carson currently has hors within him, we would just kill
- 2:04:44Carson and be done with it, But long story short,
- 2:04:47Carson doesn't want to die and I don't blame him,
- 2:04:51so instead, long story short, we will now perform the
- 2:04:54second ritual, which is to have all his place have
- 2:04:57another person met, so to speak.
- 2:05:00Speaker 2: Long story short, just the opening Julio be like so
- 2:05:04unless Horace also known as Doug, for the purposes of
- 2:05:07this story and the reveal which just occurred, had not
- 2:05:10yet explained to the audience what is happening, I will
- 2:05:12now explain for what is the third time, what is
- 2:05:14happening right now.
- 2:05:15Speaker 7: But there's another reason.
- 2:05:16Speaker 1: Of course.
- 2:05:17Speaker 7: Horace told you himself that we also want to get
- 2:05:19our revenge.
- 2:05:21Speaker 2: But I didn't.
- 2:05:22Speaker 1: Fucking my dad was the one that fucked you guys up.
- 2:05:29Oh you dad.
- 2:05:30Speaker 7: Curtis also known as Fairest Kurt.
- 2:05:35Speaker 5: I know he came up with a way to conjure Horse,
- 2:05:38but it wasn't innocent and long story short, it just
- 2:05:41cousmated people to die or leave the cult, and he
- 2:05:43was forced to go into hiding. Long story short, no
- 2:05:46need to explained to me. I don't give a shit
- 2:05:49about him anymore. I mean, he's the one who let
- 2:05:51him me go here so that he could save.
- 2:05:53Speaker 1: His own ass.
- 2:05:55Speaker 7: But long story short, as you probably already know, this
- 2:05:59is in the first time we've tried to hurt you.
- 2:06:02Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm gonna be crazy. Fuck stabbed me as a child.
- 2:06:06In fact, I'm positive it was my dad's ex girlfriend
- 2:06:08who did it. That psycho bitch.
- 2:06:12Speaker 7: Well, I don't think I'm a psycho or a bitch.
- 2:06:19Speaker 2: Gosh, Okay, it took me a few seconds to understand
- 2:06:22what she said, but when I did, Okay, I'm going
- 2:06:26back to Shinji.
- 2:06:27Speaker 9: It took me a few seconds to understand what she said.
- 2:06:30But when I did, I actually felt my jaw drop.
- 2:06:34Never at all did I consider that Amy could have
- 2:06:36been the one who stabbed me, let alone also be
- 2:06:39my dad's ex.
- 2:06:40Speaker 1: Girlfriend, jol the water who stabbed me?
- 2:06:45Speaker 9: I screamed at her, my words almost echoing in the chapel.
- 2:06:50Speaker 1: Guilty as charged.
- 2:06:53Speaker 7: Of course I had a different hair color at the time.
- 2:06:57Speaker 1: Jesus cross, But why me? Why not go after my dad?
- 2:07:05Speaker 2: Well, long story, all the all the I'm just it's
- 2:07:09going to explain in a moment that she was also
- 2:07:12the blonde haired girl across the street, and he's also
- 2:07:15going to have that realization at the same time.
- 2:07:17Speaker 1: Just well, well, long story short, what better way to
- 2:07:23torge with someone than by torturing the ones that they loved?
- 2:07:26Speaker 7: Having a son become a new victim would be the
- 2:07:28ultimate punishment.
- 2:07:30Speaker 1: Harrison.
- 2:07:31Speaker 7: Ever since you were born, we've been watching you.
- 2:07:34Speaker 1: Long story short, you never suspected a thing and never
- 2:07:38once saw this well except once when when he discovered
- 2:07:45this job.
- 2:07:46Speaker 9: My mind immediately flashed back to the day I discovered
- 2:07:49the help wanted out at the coffee shop. When I
- 2:07:51walked out, I noticed a blonde woman staring at me.
- 2:07:54I never considered it important, but now.
- 2:07:58Speaker 1: Show mother fucker. Long story short, I knew you had
- 2:08:04flunked out of school and you were currently stuck at
- 2:08:06your phone's place, also that you'd like to view that
- 2:08:10wall to see if there were any appealing jobs on there. Well,
- 2:08:13long story short, I made an ad wait until you
- 2:08:17noticed it, and then, to my utter joy, why don't
- 2:08:20you take it down to bring it home.
- 2:08:22Speaker 7: When you saw me, long story short, I got a
- 2:08:26little nervous, but you walked off without batting an eye.
- 2:08:30Speaker 1: I quickly made it back to the camp and waited
- 2:08:32for your phone call, and when you called, long story short,
- 2:08:35I was so excited that I completely forgot to ask
- 2:08:38you your name to confirm that it was you, And
- 2:08:41thank goodness, you remembered for me and when you said
- 2:08:43your name, I accidentally hit my desk in excitement. They're
- 2:08:47explaining the noise at the beginning check a maid, this
- 2:08:54is awesome.
- 2:08:58Speaker 2: Okay, how you feel right now, It's how I felt
- 2:09:02during I dared my best friend of ruin my life.
- 2:09:04By the way, this emotion you're feeling.
- 2:09:05Speaker 1: It's a nice, it's a nice it's a nice switch.
- 2:09:10Speaker 2: I'm in agony just because I was into it the
- 2:09:13first three sections. I was like, this is fun, this
- 2:09:15is engaging. I like it. And now having every single
- 2:09:20second explain we have to We really need furiating.
- 2:09:25Speaker 1: We really need to give more props and credit to
- 2:09:27the stories that like really follow through to the end.
- 2:09:30Here's the thing is is that people, there's so many
- 2:09:32people that have amazing ideas. Well we can get into
- 2:09:35it later, but so many ideas, but it is so
- 2:09:37hard to actually articulate a full arc story to where
- 2:09:40it ends in a satisfying way.
- 2:09:42Speaker 2: You know, you can feel where it's kind of like, well,
- 2:09:44that was everything I wanted to tell, So now I'll
- 2:09:46just kind of explain those things that I wanted to tell,
- 2:09:48and then we'll yeah, yeah, I wasn't even scared anymore.
- 2:09:52I was seething with rage. I couldn't believe that this
- 2:09:55was so meticulously planned out. It seems so stage, yet
- 2:09:59I knew it wasn't. I didn't say a word as
- 2:10:01Amy continued.
- 2:10:02Speaker 1: And so we've come full circle. Soon, not only you
- 2:10:06will die, but we will also live in a peaceful
- 2:10:09world that we've waited for so long. It is unfortunate
- 2:10:12that your dad won't be here to watch us finally
- 2:10:15avenge all of our fallen brothers and sisters, but he'll
- 2:10:18probably find out eventually.
- 2:10:19Speaker 2: Not even three seconds after she said that, the horse
- 2:10:21of the chapel opened, the two large men came in,
- 2:10:23dragging somebody behind him.
- 2:10:26Speaker 5: Hey, Amy, we found this guy stoopid around.
- 2:10:29Speaker 2: One of them said, you will believe who it is.
- 2:10:32They threw the man forward, and a grim but recognizable
- 2:10:34face became visible. To me, Dad, what the fuck.
- 2:10:38Speaker 1: Are you doing here, Quinn?
- 2:10:41Speaker 7: I'll be damned if it isn't Fairest Kurt himself.
- 2:10:46Speaker 2: Amy said, as if she was finishing Julio sentence.
- 2:10:49Speaker 1: That's not my name anymore, my dad said, right, because
- 2:10:54Curtis Tracy is such a better name.
- 2:10:59Speaker 2: Amy said, then, sarcastically.
- 2:11:02Speaker 7: I'm so glad that I get to see you again.
- 2:11:04I've missed you so much.
- 2:11:07Speaker 4: I don't give two ships about you. Leaving this lunatic
- 2:11:11society was the best decision I ever made.
- 2:11:14Speaker 1: Why the hell did you come here? Oh God, I'm sorry, Harrison, don't.
- 2:11:20Speaker 2: Get me that.
- 2:11:21Speaker 1: Well.
- 2:11:21Speaker 4: Shit, you knew full well what I was walking into,
- 2:11:25and you let me go so that you would be
- 2:11:27so that you would be left alone. I know, and
- 2:11:30I'm sorry. You'll probably never forgive me, but that's why
- 2:11:34I'm here.
- 2:11:36Speaker 2: I like, it's like, hey, I want the dad to
- 2:11:39be at the climax? How do we get him there?
- 2:11:41And it's like, I don't know, maybe literally drag him in.
- 2:11:44Speaker 1: He was stooping around. He was stooping around like the
- 2:11:47like the fucking Scoopy Dude crew outside.
- 2:11:54Speaker 2: He then turned to Amy began speaking to her.
- 2:11:57Speaker 4: Sure, Amy, you have wantedn't be dead for so long.
- 2:12:02If you want to kill me, now's your chance. Just
- 2:12:05perform the ritual on me and you guys can finally
- 2:12:08have more peace. Please leave my son alone.
- 2:12:12Speaker 2: I looked at Amy, who was quiet for about ten
- 2:12:14seconds before she made a decision.
- 2:12:18Speaker 7: You know what, I think that's a great idea.
- 2:12:21Speaker 2: Julia on Carson, who I hadn't noticed until then, had
- 2:12:24morshed back into himself, just stared at her in disbelief.
- 2:12:30I tend stop, knowing what was about to happen. And
- 2:12:33he walked up to my dad and he closed his
- 2:12:34eyes and bowed his head.
- 2:12:36Speaker 1: You ready to die? Yes? Wait, don't you need the
- 2:12:43Bible to perform the ritual? Oh, we're not performing the
- 2:12:47ritual on Ferris.
- 2:12:49Speaker 2: Before anyone could react, she pulled out a knife and
- 2:12:51stabbed my dad in the neck. My dad grabbed his
- 2:12:56neck and claps to the floor.
- 2:12:57Speaker 10: Oh lor oh faires, you little fool. You didn't think
- 2:13:06I was gonna let it be that easy?
- 2:13:08Speaker 1: Huh, you piece of shit. I'm surprised you care, she.
- 2:13:12Speaker 2: Said to me, without a single ounce of emotion in
- 2:13:15her voice. He did.
- 2:13:16Speaker 1: Let you come here. He's still by father.
- 2:13:21Speaker 2: I said, tears rushing down my face. My dad wasn't
- 2:13:24moving anymore, his body now lying and pull of his
- 2:13:27own blood. I knew he was dead, all right.
- 2:13:29Speaker 1: Well, now that we got that over with, can we
- 2:13:31please continue?
- 2:13:33Speaker 7: Yeah, let's get started.
- 2:13:38Speaker 1: What what if you guys fail?
- 2:13:41Speaker 2: I asked him, all while still crying.
- 2:13:43Speaker 4: Horse Horace told me that if you mess up the
- 2:13:46ritual when he's already conjured, then you'll disappear.
- 2:13:49Speaker 1: What are you gonna do? Just keep trying until I'm.
- 2:13:52Speaker 4: Dead, that's the plan. Besides, I'm absolutely positive we have
- 2:13:57the right sermon. All right, let's get started.
- 2:14:01Speaker 2: Isn't Carson possessed by Horace? Can Horace just say if
- 2:14:04it's the whatever? Carson grabbed a step ladder and walked
- 2:14:07up to it to reach the area I was hung
- 2:14:08up at.
- 2:14:09Speaker 1: I just want to thank you for what you're about
- 2:14:11to do for us.
- 2:14:12Speaker 2: Carson said, a smile for me on his face. Co
- 2:14:15fuck yourself, I said, before spitting in his face.
- 2:14:19Speaker 1: I guess you're stab wound. Isn't that serious? Huh? We
- 2:14:21have the best nurses a person could ask for. No,
- 2:14:24the hunters we've have. We've had the best nurses a
- 2:14:30person can ask for.
- 2:14:31Speaker 2: He then revealed two things from his robe, and one
- 2:14:33hand was the Bible and the other a large carving knife.
- 2:14:36He opened the book to a page and began to read,
- 2:14:38and once he finished, he plunged the knife into my gut.
- 2:14:41I screamed from the pain as he meticulously carved a
- 2:14:43new wound into my body. I closed my eyes, anticipated
- 2:14:47my dead. This is it, I thought to myself, this
- 2:14:50is how I die, mercilessly executed by a cult. I
- 2:14:54thought my body would begin to morph into Horace or something.
- 2:14:57But about twenty seconds past and nothing happened up with
- 2:15:00my eyes, and Carson was just staring at me, terrified
- 2:15:02to look on his face.
- 2:15:05Speaker 7: What happened?
- 2:15:07Speaker 1: I messed up? What I messed up?
- 2:15:12Speaker 2: Carson said, close his eyes and then opened them again quickly.
- 2:15:15Speaker 1: Horse is gone, He's gone. I messed up. Fuck.
- 2:15:19Speaker 2: He threw the knife onto the ground in rage.
- 2:15:22Speaker 1: Good job, asshole, said.
- 2:15:26Speaker 2: The pain from the wound making it hard to speak.
- 2:15:28Speaker 1: Shut up, Harrison, just because you're messed up doesn't mean
- 2:15:31you're getting on of this alive. I don't care if
- 2:15:34your dad is now dead. I haven't fulfilled my desire
- 2:15:36for your for your revenge yet. I haven't fulfilled my
- 2:15:39desire for revenge yet. Carson, perform the ritual on yourself again.
- 2:15:44Speaker 2: Can I just say? The idea of like this cult
- 2:15:47that's been offerating for years and they think when Horace
- 2:15:49comes back the world will enter a stage of world peace.
- 2:15:52And they had completed the ritual, but Carson didn't want
- 2:15:57to die, so they risked losing the ritual.
- 2:16:02Speaker 1: Can you make a can you make a stabbing sound
- 2:16:04effect for Carson, like.
- 2:16:07Speaker 2: Like me doing the stab?
- 2:16:08Speaker 1: Yeah like that, like a yeah, do it again? You
- 2:16:13mean do it again.
- 2:16:20Speaker 2: I'm just spitting all over myself.
- 2:16:25Speaker 1: I just really enjoyed doing the thing. So he's cutting
- 2:16:27himself something, doing shop shop shop snop. I'll call Carson.
- 2:16:45Speaker 2: But while Carson was conjuring horse again and I do
- 2:16:48popped into my head. Amy. I just said that she
- 2:16:50hasn't fulfilled her desire for revenge, but not their desire
- 2:16:53for revenge. It may have meant nothing at all, but
- 2:16:56she was also the one who explained the entirety of
- 2:16:58why she wanted revenge on my dad. Oh my god,
- 2:17:00the other options. I decided to test that notion. It
- 2:17:03was a long shot, but I hoped it would work.
- 2:17:05Speaker 1: I like how you seem to be the only person
- 2:17:08who wants revenge.
- 2:17:09Speaker 2: I spoke as loud as I could.
- 2:17:11Speaker 4: Everyone has been waiting for years to obtain world peace
- 2:17:13is to kill on the one who is currently because
- 2:17:15as my horse, you don't want to make the way
- 2:17:18even more just because you want me to be the sacrifice.
- 2:17:21Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 2:17:22Speaker 7: Most of them don't even want revenge. They just want
- 2:17:24to have the world peace.
- 2:17:26Speaker 1: I made it so that they get both for the
- 2:17:28price of one. But the plan just failed.
- 2:17:31Speaker 4: Now they'll have to wait until you guys find the
- 2:17:33right Sermont in order to fill the religious duty.
- 2:17:36Speaker 1: You're making them wait just because of you. That's been
- 2:17:40the plan all along. I promised myself that I wouldn't
- 2:17:43stop until Ferris paid the price for what he did
- 2:17:45to me and my friends. My dad just did pay
- 2:17:49the price.
- 2:17:50Speaker 2: I screamed, my stomach hurting more from me and projecting
- 2:17:52my voice.
- 2:17:53Speaker 5: But now you don't even seem to care about the
- 2:17:55mission anymore. You just want to fill your need for vengeance.
- 2:17:59But it will never be satisfied. You're punishing these guss
- 2:18:03just you're punishing me.
- 2:18:06Speaker 1: I don't care.
- 2:18:08Speaker 7: I would never be satisfied until you're dead.
- 2:18:11Speaker 1: I don't care what everyone else wants. I don't care
- 2:18:13about what peace. I don't care about my religious duty.
- 2:18:15I don't care about getting my revenge again.
- 2:18:20Speaker 2: You know the way people speak humans Right now, they
- 2:18:24talk her scream. Her scream practically echoed in the room.
- 2:18:29I couldn't believe she fell for my bluff because of me.
- 2:18:31She just admitted that she only cared about revenge. You
- 2:18:34gonna hear a pin drop in the chapel, Everyone except
- 2:18:37for Julio and Carson was stunned by what Amy Jeff said.
- 2:18:39Despite the predicament, I was still stuck in combined with
- 2:18:42the pain of my gut, I smiled wildly.
- 2:18:45Speaker 1: Well, you guys just heard the truth. She guess cared
- 2:18:49about what you guys want or seek.
- 2:18:51Speaker 4: She just cares about herself. How selfish of her. Well,
- 2:18:56I'll tell you this. They haven't figured out the right
- 2:18:59sir yet.
- 2:19:00Speaker 2: Wait, is it as as he's saying all this? Carson
- 2:19:04is stabbing Carson.
- 2:19:05Speaker 4: Carson's Carson's like all so that's in the background. Even
- 2:19:11if I died before they discover it, and Amy's true
- 2:19:13desire would be satisfied, you guys would have to wait
- 2:19:17until someone else was captured tortured just to gate world peace, unless,
- 2:19:22of course, he just killed a person who already has
- 2:19:24horse possessed inside them.
- 2:19:26Speaker 2: Right now, almost all of them turn their heads towards Carson,
- 2:19:28who is sitting on the floor of his blood pulling
- 2:19:30beneath them.
- 2:19:33Speaker 1: Carson looked up and.
- 2:19:34Speaker 2: His face was as white as a ghost. He definitely
- 2:19:37heard what I said.
- 2:19:38Speaker 1: So I give you guys a choice.
- 2:19:41Speaker 4: We can wait here for them to keep trying to
- 2:19:43solve the second ritual, or you can finally have taped
- 2:19:46world piece you have forever wanted, and all you have
- 2:19:51to do is kill Carson. He's already weak from the
- 2:19:54stab wound, so it should be easy.
- 2:19:56Speaker 1: What will it be?
- 2:19:57Speaker 2: I prayed this would work in my favor. All I
- 2:19:59need it was one person to see the sinse I
- 2:20:01was spewing, and I could be spared. This was my
- 2:20:04only shot, and I hope someone sided with me. After
- 2:20:06about ten seconds, someone came up from the crowd and
- 2:20:08started walking toward the altar Rafai.
- 2:20:10Speaker 1: Yell, don't you even think about coming up here? Fuck you, Amy,
- 2:20:15Paris dried. You killed Paris, and he's the one wronged you.
- 2:20:19He got your revenge on him. Probab wait my tire
- 2:20:21lot to fulfill my religious obligation, and I won't and
- 2:20:24I won't force you to make me and my friends
- 2:20:26wait any longer.
- 2:20:27Speaker 2: It's also funny to imagine that like this person who
- 2:20:30supposedly wants a world peace, like that's the reason they're doing.
- 2:20:32All this is like I have to kill this child
- 2:20:34to get my revenge. I have to kind of kill
- 2:20:37people to give it. Then we're gonna have a world peace.
- 2:20:41Before anyone could react, he charged the altar. Julio tried
- 2:20:44to grab him, but Raphael barged right through him. Once
- 2:20:46he took lead, several others began charging the altar as well,
- 2:20:49some screaming that it was finally gonna happen. That's when
- 2:20:52all hell broke lose. Carson tried to limp away, but
- 2:20:55he was caught almost immediately, and he got bone rush
- 2:20:57as well and was knocked back against the wall, seemingly unconscious.
- 2:21:01Julio managed to get out of the way and was
- 2:21:03pushing his body against the wall next to where Amy was.
- 2:21:07People began jumping onto Carson, punching and kicking him. I
- 2:21:10didn't feel bad one bit. He did stab me, after all.
- 2:21:14I then felt my board began to move, and before
- 2:21:16I knew it, I began falling back to earth. I
- 2:21:19hit the floor hard, the impact momentarily dazing me. I
- 2:21:22then saw someone standing over and heard a voice that
- 2:21:24I didn't expect to hear.
- 2:21:26Speaker 1: Don't worry, I'll get you out of here.
- 2:21:29Speaker 2: Percy began untying my arms and legs, but just as
- 2:21:32he was beginning to untie my last leg, he was
- 2:21:34pulled from behind and thrown to the ground.
- 2:21:35Speaker 1: What do you think you're doing?
- 2:21:38Speaker 2: Amy yelled at him, a bloody knife in her hand.
- 2:21:40She cornered Persy against the wall. After seeing this, I
- 2:21:42mashed down time the last nod charged her as fast
- 2:21:44as I could. I knocked her down just as she
- 2:21:46raised a knife in the air. Amy and I began
- 2:21:48wrestling on the ground. Under normal circumstances, I would have
- 2:21:51been much stronger than her, but my stab wound had
- 2:21:53severely weakened my strength, and she was gaining the upper
- 2:21:56hand fast. She managed to get on top of me,
- 2:21:58the knife still in her hand.
- 2:21:59Speaker 1: I don't care if I die you today, you'll be
- 2:22:01You'll at least be joining me.
- 2:22:03Speaker 2: Just when I thought I was done for, I heard
- 2:22:05a smack sound and Amy fell inmpondo. Standing behind her
- 2:22:08was Percy holding what looked like a baton. I have
- 2:22:10no idea where you got it, but I could have
- 2:22:12cared less at the moment.
- 2:22:13Speaker 1: Come on, we need to get d out of here.
- 2:22:15Speaker 2: He picked me up and started leading me over to
- 2:22:17the back of the chapel. As we were making our
- 2:22:19way to the back, I found Julia on the ground.
- 2:22:21He also appeared to be unconscious.
- 2:22:22Speaker 1: Put you throw it into the crowd. We need that diversion.
- 2:22:26Speaker 2: I turned to see someone I didn't recognize throwing Molotov contails.
- 2:22:36We need a diversion. Quick burn everyone alive. I turned
- 2:22:43to see someone I didn't recognize. Sorry, Molotov cocktails into
- 2:22:46the crowd.
- 2:22:47Speaker 1: It exploded. You know, it's funny.
- 2:22:50Speaker 2: Most people just say molotov unless you grew up playing
- 2:22:53Call of Duty, World at War or it was called
- 2:22:55Molotov cocktails, because say calling it a cocktail is a
- 2:22:59bit of a joke, right, So you can tell when
- 2:23:01someone riding played Call of Duty growing up because they
- 2:23:03will always add cocktails at the end of the phrase,
- 2:23:06which further goes back on my theory with this piece.
- 2:23:10But anyway, it exploded and people began screaming. He then
- 2:23:14raced back to where we were. Percy found a small
- 2:23:16window in the back of the chapel. Percy began slamming
- 2:23:19the baton against the window in order to break it.
- 2:23:21After a few more swings, Percy broke through the window
- 2:23:23and we made it outside. You see little instances like
- 2:23:26that is what I mean by time being weirdly spaced
- 2:23:29where it could have just been. We walked up, he
- 2:23:30hit it, we walked out. But it's like he didn't
- 2:23:32try first, but after a few more he got it.
- 2:23:34That happens a lot. Perscy then pulled out a walkie
- 2:23:36and radio to someone on the other line, bring it around. Hurry,
- 2:23:40yelled into the walkie. Not even five seconds later, a
- 2:23:42white truck came bareling down the road of the camp.
- 2:23:44Familiar face was behind the steering wheel.
- 2:23:46Speaker 1: I love also the amount of like like not even
- 2:23:49five seconds, not even three seconds. There's a lot of
- 2:23:51second intervals here.
- 2:23:52Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, or like when the worst one to me
- 2:23:55was when he was taking a shower and it was like, uh,
- 2:24:00I get in, I take my clothes off, I turn
- 2:24:03on the water. I am in it for about ten minutes,
- 2:24:05I get out, I turn off. It's just like, why
- 2:24:07just say you were in the shower, you got out
- 2:24:09the clothes, you know, Oh, get in.
- 2:24:12Speaker 1: We need to get out of here.
- 2:24:14Speaker 2: We all piled in and Graham accelerated out of Camp Oakwood.
- 2:24:18So the two inside people were Graham and his son
- 2:24:21Percy God.
- 2:24:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:24:23Speaker 2: We stopped at a house about forty minutes from Camp Oakwood.
- 2:24:26While driving there, Percy used his shirt to put pressure
- 2:24:28on my wound. When we eventually reached the house, the
- 2:24:30three of them brought me inside the house, where I
- 2:24:32was introduced to a woman named Bee, who turned out
- 2:24:34to be Graham's ex wife. He was apparently a nurse,
- 2:24:37and she helped disinfect the and bandage my wound. She
- 2:24:40was happy to report that none of my organs seemed
- 2:24:42to be damaged by the stab wound and that I
- 2:24:43would be more that I would more than likely be okay.
- 2:24:47Percy and Quincy were both pruised, but nothing too severe.
- 2:24:50While being patched up, I talked to Percy for a
- 2:24:51while and he explained quite a bit to me. As
- 2:24:54it turned out, Percy had been forced by Amy to
- 2:24:56go into my apartment and take a picture of my
- 2:24:58scar so that she could prove that it was definitely me.
- 2:25:02He didn't want to do it, but she threatened him
- 2:25:04and eventually he relented.
- 2:25:06Speaker 1: He managed to.
- 2:25:09Speaker 2: He managed to take a photo. However, not only was
- 2:25:11my tale obscuring my scar, but the photo also came
- 2:25:14out blurry. Despite him failing, they stuck with the plan
- 2:25:17of Percy being arrested by Officer Marino. I asked Percy
- 2:25:20if he was just a cult member addressed as a
- 2:25:22police officer, and he confirmed it. Not that I was
- 2:25:24surprised to hear that. Anyway, Percy was never taken away
- 2:25:28and would remain at the camp out of you. Well,
- 2:25:30that was the plan until Carson successfully canjured just every
- 2:25:37second needing to be explained to the reader. Until Carson
- 2:25:40successfully conjured Horace that Amy had to hasten her plans.
- 2:25:44When they met around the campfire the night I escaped.
- 2:25:46It was so that Amy could explain what would be happening.
- 2:25:49Speaker 1: To my shock.
- 2:25:50Speaker 2: There was also waiting to see when I would wake up,
- 2:25:52and once someone noticed I was up and moving, Amy
- 2:25:54alerted Carson to text me the message I received and
- 2:25:57waited until I was recaptured.
- 2:25:59Speaker 1: The play was freed to make it to that location
- 2:26:01only to find Carson or Horse or or I should
- 2:26:03call him in Officer Marino waiting there for you. It
- 2:26:06was just a trick to get your hopes up and
- 2:26:08you could possibly escape.
- 2:26:09Speaker 2: Why would they do Why did they need a trick
- 2:26:12to get his.
- 2:26:12Speaker 1: Hopes well, officer Marino wasn't there?
- 2:26:16Speaker 2: You seemingly perplexed by that.
- 2:26:18Speaker 1: Well, Amy never told us that. Then again, it appeared
- 2:26:21that Amy hid quite a bit from you, guys, I
- 2:26:23said before.
- 2:26:23Speaker 2: We both laughed, just like, but he was there because
- 2:26:29he just biked for an hour and then got arrested.
- 2:26:31Why would that needs whatever? Whatever, We're almost done. Percy
- 2:26:34then began explaining that he had come up with the
- 2:26:36plan to get me out of there. He knew what
- 2:26:38was going to happen to me, so he Graham and Quincy,
- 2:26:40who I later found out wasn't even an employe at
- 2:26:42the camp, Percy's best friend back home, came up with
- 2:26:45a way to get me out. The plan was for
- 2:26:46Quincy to make homemade mal I'd throw several of them
- 2:26:51at the church to act as a diversion so they
- 2:26:52could quickly get me out to carry me out, which,
- 2:26:55if you'll remember, is when he loudly announced, we need
- 2:26:58a distraction, throw the mal toss. Bible now explained to
- 2:27:00you that the molotovs were a distraction that were made
- 2:27:03prior to advance. They didn't actually make him there. It's
- 2:27:05important for you to know that that they were prior
- 2:27:07made and then brought to the location for the purpose
- 2:27:10that's been explained twice now to you. However, they didn't
- 2:27:13plan on two things, One my dad's showing up unexpectedly,
- 2:27:16and two Midi getting Aimy to say that she didn't
- 2:27:18care about everyone else's desire for worldies. When several of
- 2:27:22the people in the crowdstorm the altar, they took their
- 2:27:24chance and proceeded with the plan as best they could.
- 2:27:26Speaker 1: However, he explained to.
- 2:27:27Speaker 2: Me that they did have to wait until they tried
- 2:27:29the ritual on me because if they tried it before
- 2:27:31the ritual Hatips's it would have been harder to get
- 2:27:35out because everyone would have been pissed at them, and
- 2:27:37they too would have been attacked. It was a shitty
- 2:27:40move to do, but I told him it was okay.
- 2:27:42I got out with my life. That's all that mattered.
- 2:27:44He also explained to me that many have slowed down,
- 2:27:47slowed just slowed down a little bit. God, just just
- 2:27:52slowed down a little bit.
- 2:27:54Speaker 1: People are going to be so pissed if we if
- 2:27:56you read that fast the Molotov cocktail thing. Good God.
- 2:28:06Speaker 2: He also explained to me that many of the counselors
- 2:28:08were beyond pissed of off. When Amy proclaimed that they
- 2:28:12would have to wait until they got the ritual right
- 2:28:14on me before they could all complete their mission, she
- 2:28:17said that would be the plan that anyone who disagreed
- 2:28:19with her would have to deal with it. So many
- 2:28:22of her employees were angered by her actions. The only
- 2:28:24people who sided with her were Julio and Carson. Carson
- 2:28:27I understood because he didn't want to die, But I
- 2:28:29wondered buy Julio agreed with her.
- 2:28:31Speaker 1: I wonder if they got world peace finally. Well, if
- 2:28:35the definition of world peace is a fight in a chapel,
- 2:28:38then they did. Congratulations did them? Still? Dude, you really
- 2:28:43saved yourself when you managed to break Amy. If it
- 2:28:46wasn't for that alone, you would have been a goner.
- 2:28:49I mean, she did it to herself. She gave it
- 2:28:53away right before when she said that she didn't care
- 2:28:56how long it took them to get it right, but
- 2:28:58as long as I was die as a result of it,
- 2:29:00it didn't matter to her. Plus, she has killed my dad,
- 2:29:03which basically was a revenge. The desire could never be satisfied.
- 2:29:07I'm just thankful. I'm just thankful you me Quincy and
- 2:29:10my dad all made it out alive. Your dad, Oh yeah,
- 2:29:14you didn't know they either? Graham is my dad? Oh?
- 2:29:23Speaker 2: Oh, Honestly, I always suspected that was a possibility. Horace
- 2:29:34did say an older worker at the camp didn't believe
- 2:29:36in this stuff, and the worker also had a son
- 2:29:39who apparently didn't either. After thinking over a little bit,
- 2:29:43I actually suspected Percy and Graham were related, especially considering
- 2:29:46how concerned Graham was for Percy's safety. When Amy planned
- 2:29:50to talk to Percy about why he broke into my apartment,
- 2:29:53I ended up resting for the night, and the next
- 2:29:55day Graham gave me the keys to the truck and
- 2:29:57told me to get out of town. I asked him
- 2:30:00what he Percy, Quincy, and b would do, and he
- 2:30:02said not to worry about them. I didn't know if
- 2:30:04I could trust them at this point, but I had
- 2:30:06no other options. Just as I started the car, I
- 2:30:09asked Graham and Percy why they were work out of
- 2:30:13Summer Camp when they knew it was run by a cult.
- 2:30:15They looked at each other and Graham replied with free, Now.
- 2:30:19Speaker 1: It doesn't matter anymore. Well, I love the idea of
- 2:30:26like you're gonna overexplain everything. But the other guy, he's
- 2:30:28just like, I fuck it, I'm not gonna tell you.
- 2:30:31Speaker 2: It's like every every breath, every like passing thought that
- 2:30:35was explained in three different ways. And then it's like, wait,
- 2:30:39why did you a group of good people work at
- 2:30:42a camp whose purpose was killdnapping, slaughter people, kill you.
- 2:30:47He literally says, she doesn't matter anymore, that's not important.
- 2:30:54Don't ask that question, ask other ones, kill yourself.
- 2:31:00Speaker 1: I wanted to ask him what.
- 2:31:01Speaker 2: That meant, but I decided to just get out of there.
- 2:31:03I drove off the property and away from the city,
- 2:31:05promising myself to never return. Once I got out of
- 2:31:08the city, I ditched the truck and went into hiding.
- 2:31:11That is where I am now. I have already changed
- 2:31:13my appearance and I'm currently in the process of changing
- 2:31:15my name. I ended up reading in the news that
- 2:31:17about twenty people died in this chapel, and many others
- 2:31:20were injured and or arrested. I don't know how the
- 2:31:23police found out, but they did. A list of the
- 2:31:25people who died was published as well. I saw Julio
- 2:31:28Carson Rafaie Alan, my dad on the list. One name
- 2:31:31I didn't see though was Amy. That means she's still
- 2:31:33alive and possibly looking for me. Even though I have
- 2:31:36since escaped and have trying to move on with my life,
- 2:31:38I still have so many unanswered questions about what happened.
- 2:31:41My biggest question is this, why did my dad let
- 2:31:44me go? I mean, I just don't get it. Why
- 2:31:46would he let me go when he knew who was
- 2:31:48there and they and that they were dangerous people. I
- 2:31:52just can't understand why. But then he came back and
- 2:31:54tried to sacrifice himself so that I could possibly live.
- 2:31:57He died trying to save me in a way guarding
- 2:32:00his death. I feel well in the middle. I'm devastated
- 2:32:03that my dad is dead, but I am still angry
- 2:32:06at him for letting me walk into a trap that
- 2:32:08should have killed me. And also don't understand my mom.
- 2:32:12She must have known about my dad's previous days. She
- 2:32:19must have known about my dad's previous life, yet she
- 2:32:22also let me go. She even said I've dealt with
- 2:32:24it before. I don't know what she meant, but my
- 2:32:27only logical conclusion was that she was referring to when
- 2:32:31Amy stabbed me in my childhood. I don't know, I
- 2:32:34don't plan on trying to find out soon. Ever since
- 2:32:36I escaped, i've contacted I haven't contacted anyone in my family.
- 2:32:41I can't trust them anymore. My mom must be heartbroken
- 2:32:44that she practically lost both her husband and son. Maybe
- 2:32:47one day I'll reach out to her, but right now
- 2:32:48I just can't. Another problem is that I don't understand
- 2:32:51why Carson, disguised as Horace, gave me all that information
- 2:32:55and then let me try to escape. Percy told me
- 2:32:58that wasn't part of the plan, so Carson must have
- 2:33:00had something else in mind. I don't know what, but
- 2:33:03if the end goal was for me to get captured,
- 2:33:05then I guess it doesn't matter now.
- 2:33:06Speaker 1: Also, I never did I did.
- 2:33:09Speaker 2: Never get the answer as to why Graham and Percy
- 2:33:12would work at the summer camp.
- 2:33:14Speaker 1: All they said was that they were free.
- 2:33:16Speaker 2: Now I guess they must have been held captive or something,
- 2:33:19but they never told me, even when Percy and I
- 2:33:21talked just before I left to go into hiding. And lastly,
- 2:33:25though it isn't that important, but that hasn't stopped me
- 2:33:29before what happened to the campers. I didn't see a
- 2:33:33single kid in the crowd while I was tied up.
- 2:33:39Speaker 1: Honestly, I don't sure enough. This whole part is one
- 2:33:42hundred percent somebody was preferating his stuff, and then people
- 2:33:45in the comment sections below were partly like, what so, yeah,
- 2:33:48this is all fine? What about all the children that
- 2:33:50are camping there? This is him addressing everything one of
- 2:33:53those and being like, yeah, that is weird. This is
- 2:33:56such a miss.
- 2:33:57Speaker 2: He's just bringing he's just lampshading it, being like, yeah,
- 2:34:00I know, anyway, more exposition.
- 2:34:05Speaker 1: I'm I'm I'm really weird enough that too, Yo, that's
- 2:34:10a crazy point.
- 2:34:11Speaker 2: I didn't think about that job on job bro, I
- 2:34:14didn't think about that, yo. Air this camp out, what
- 2:34:20happened to the campers? I didn't see a single kid
- 2:34:23in the crowd while I was tied up. Honestly, I
- 2:34:25don't care enough to want to know the answer to
- 2:34:27that question.
- 2:34:30Speaker 11: It was just another mystery to the whull fucker kids, bro,
- 2:34:38I don't care at all, Broo.
- 2:34:41Speaker 1: Kids only interaction with kids in the story. The only
- 2:34:47interaction with kids in the story is that one.
- 2:34:48Speaker 2: Of them threw up that Axton, Paxton or whatever his
- 2:34:53name was, threw up on everything that was it. That's
- 2:34:56the only kid thing in the whole thing. I don't care.
- 2:35:00Let them kids die, dude. Uh, it's just that's so funny.
- 2:35:04I guess it's just another mystery, literal magic to this engage,
- 2:35:09to this engaging saga that I've brought up.
- 2:35:12Speaker 1: It's just a theory.
- 2:35:14Speaker 2: I'm just so frustrated that I will never get these answers.
- 2:35:18I know you want to, but I the author and
- 2:35:21narrator the story. I am also frustrated. I haven't spoken
- 2:35:25to Graham or Percy or anyone involved since I've escaped,
- 2:35:28and I plan on keeping it that way. I just
- 2:35:30can't risk it. This happened a while ago, and I've
- 2:35:32never been able to get full closure on all this. However,
- 2:35:34typing it here has really helped me. I will say
- 2:35:37that I have read the comments you guys have been
- 2:35:39sending me. First Off, thank you guys for y'all's concern
- 2:35:42for my well being. I appreciate it greatly. Secondly, for
- 2:35:45those who said I was too naive and trustworthy, You're right.
- 2:35:48I was, indeed, but now I'm not. In fact, I
- 2:35:50can't trust anyone. That's why I'm hiding alone. All I
- 2:35:54know is that I will always have a target on
- 2:35:55my back horse himself said that these guys are all
- 2:35:58around the globe and they're probably still looking for me.
- 2:36:00As I typed this, after all, I practically destroyed one
- 2:36:03of their bases of operation, a summer camp known as
- 2:36:05campok would end of story, and.
- 2:36:07Speaker 1: That is the end. Here's the thing. Could you do
- 2:36:11you think that he started off and he's like, oh,
- 2:36:12I want to make a I want to make a
- 2:36:15camp story. And then as he was writing it, he
- 2:36:17was like, I really don't want to write a camp story.
- 2:36:19So then he just kind of abandoned that because there
- 2:36:21really is no reason this had to be a camp,
- 2:36:25Like I was expecting more stuff of like, well, what
- 2:36:27are the children doing? How do you get the children involved?
- 2:36:30Could it have also not been like, hey, you could
- 2:36:33you're a landscaper out at my property or something. Right,
- 2:36:37you're a maintenance guy for like a wealthy woman that
- 2:36:39lives out in the middle of nowhere or something, right.
- 2:36:44But it's just I don't know. I wonder if it's like, oh,
- 2:36:47it'll be in a camp, it'll be like a scoopy
- 2:36:49a spooky goosebumps kind of meme. But then there was
- 2:36:53no mention of any campers or anything actually camp related
- 2:36:56besides a chapel, which is like that chapel could have
- 2:36:58just been anywhere you could. I mean, in a way,
- 2:37:01it feels very uh. It feels comparable to deep Woods
- 2:37:04in that way where it's like, at least with that one,
- 2:37:06it's just like, yeah, there's a random chapel out in
- 2:37:08the woods. It's all creepy and weird and there's stuff
- 2:37:11hiding in it.
- 2:37:11Speaker 3: One.
- 2:37:12Speaker 2: That one's fine though, because it's like it's an old community. Yeah,
- 2:37:16that like called deep Woods, that like the town has
- 2:37:18been lost and it's the church from that town. So
- 2:37:20the chapel makes sense to a degree, whereas here just
- 2:37:24kind of.
- 2:37:24Speaker 1: I'll say this is my final thought because that was
- 2:37:27I mean, first off, I feel like I feel like
- 2:37:29someone just beat the hell out of me with like
- 2:37:30a bat, is what it feels like. I feel like
- 2:37:32the first three, the first three chapters were fine.
- 2:37:35Speaker 2: I was enjoying myself. Yeah, absolutely tanted. Yeah.
- 2:37:38Speaker 1: As soon as we got to Doug, that's whenever I
- 2:37:40was like this is where as soon as the World
- 2:37:42War One thing hit, I was like, this is I
- 2:37:44know where we're heading.
- 2:37:45Speaker 2: It's always it's.
- 2:37:46Speaker 1: Always sad whenever there's a giant sign like that. That's
- 2:37:49just like, by the way, you're about to be get
- 2:37:50really disappointed. You're welcome to the jungle. Yeah, yeah, the
- 2:37:58uh the I will you know what, and I'll give
- 2:38:03you this to end on a positive note, because I
- 2:38:05you know, I'll say this on a positive note. If
- 2:38:09you would have told me, hey, hunter, what would you
- 2:38:12expect a person who's on who is religiously religiously on
- 2:38:17the mass Singer subreddit and NFL if they.
- 2:38:20Speaker 2: Made a story airing him out, if they made if
- 2:38:24they made a story, what would it be?
- 2:38:25Speaker 1: I would not expect this, and I'm impressed I would.
- 2:38:28I like that.
- 2:38:30Speaker 2: Look, it's it's hard writing a story. I get I
- 2:38:33get that one hundred percent.
- 2:38:34Speaker 1: Uh.
- 2:38:35Speaker 2: And especially if you have good ideas and concepts, it
- 2:38:38is so hard to execute or come up with the
- 2:38:40things in between the concepts you want, like the the
- 2:38:43big picture stuff.
- 2:38:45Speaker 1: Yeah. Do you think that this was an interesting cou
- 2:38:47I don't think there was really anything good about this?
- 2:38:50Was there?
- 2:38:51Speaker 2: No?
- 2:38:51Speaker 1: No?
- 2:38:51Speaker 2: I mean like it was. I think the idea we
- 2:38:54said at the beginning, the idea of a summer camp
- 2:38:56that's having rituals is fine. I like that like that
- 2:38:58is fine, that's true. So that's like an interesting idea.
- 2:39:01It's like I want to write a story about that.
- 2:39:03So you write a bunch of your big picture stuff
- 2:39:04and then it's like, well, I don't really know, so
- 2:39:06you don't really come up with new ideas for the ending.
- 2:39:09You just kind of get to a point where you
- 2:39:11explain the stuff you've already came up with to just
- 2:39:14what the last two chapters exactly, to be like, well,
- 2:39:17this is why I did this in the first It's
- 2:39:19like it's like the first three chapters was the story
- 2:39:21they wanted to write, and then the last two was like, well,
- 2:39:24here's why I wrote those first three chapters.
- 2:39:26Speaker 1: You know what this is. I would love a very
- 2:39:28straightforward camp horror story where it's just a bunch of
- 2:39:31vignettes of like almost again, guys like can't counselart this
- 2:39:34place and they need new fresh people whatever, and then
- 2:39:36it's just like a bunch of vignettes of like creepy
- 2:39:38kids doing weird rituals and shit, you know, all kinds
- 2:39:41of different things of summer activities that are contorted or whatever.
- 2:39:45Like I feel like a lot of time and I
- 2:39:47don't know if you agree, But I feel like a
- 2:39:48lot of time people are too afraid to just like
- 2:39:51kind of do crazy and weird shit because they want
- 2:39:53to like ground it in the realms of it, like
- 2:39:55having like a fun payoff or you know, like a
- 2:39:58satisfying ending or something, versus it being like a string
- 2:40:01of fun ideas that you like interweave into each other
- 2:40:05into like a cohesive story, you know, so like in
- 2:40:07between each one of these events, like having like real
- 2:40:10fun big things happen, because in this story, really all
- 2:40:12that happened was a kid throws up, somebody took a
- 2:40:15picture of somebody, and then all of a sudden people
- 2:40:18are whispering outside their houses, and then people getting sabbed
- 2:40:22in the stomach, and that's about it. Like I would love,
- 2:40:25I would love for some more stuff, especially if you're
- 2:40:27going into shape shifting and stuff, Like how cool would
- 2:40:30it have been if it's like, oh, out of these
- 2:40:32these children who are selected, who are carefully selected through
- 2:40:35the country whatever, because you know it's like a private
- 2:40:37program whatever, it's like all of them are almost like
- 2:40:40a are doing this weird thing where they're all like
- 2:40:42shape shifting and transforming and only like you know, the
- 2:40:44kids are dying while they're transforming, and this guy's like
- 2:40:47watching it. It's almost like a weird uh fucking like
- 2:40:52a kid's growing and contorting and he dies and it's like, well,
- 2:40:54that one's not it, but it's like this weird like
- 2:40:57just a bunch of weird vignettes like that. We'll just
- 2:40:59be on to explore, you know. I just feel like
- 2:41:02sometimes people are so nervous about like getting super fucking
- 2:41:05weird with their stuff, versus I'd give me, give me,
- 2:41:08give me all the weird. I want all the weird.
- 2:41:10Speaker 2: Just give me something strange and don't don't explain yourself,
- 2:41:13and like a yain, don't ever explain yourself. Fuck it,
- 2:41:15never explain yourself. Just like that's the coolest thing about
- 2:41:18so many horror projects. I mean, we talked about that
- 2:41:20when we talked about the original one with like Bring
- 2:41:22Her Back, or a bunch of horror movies like Hereditary.
- 2:41:24It's like, it's cool to have a built out world
- 2:41:26and order of operations, acting behind the scenes and let
- 2:41:30your audience see the machinations of it, but never have
- 2:41:33it explained, because in the unknown is where it's scary.
- 2:41:36People play in every piece of it, it just becomes
- 2:41:38like an action.
- 2:41:39Speaker 1: Yeah, people are going to formulate what is the most
- 2:41:41interesting thing in their mind. Like, you'll never be able
- 2:41:43to satisfy that. I will say though, like if you
- 2:41:46go in and you have a full is you have
- 2:41:48a full, fully idealized picture, that's different, Like you can't
- 2:41:53explain things if you're like, I have the story idead.
- 2:41:55I think that it ends in this way that's really satisfying.
- 2:41:58But I feel like a lot of the time with
- 2:41:59these stories that we read, people who have an interesting
- 2:42:01hook or they're like, this is my idea, and then
- 2:42:03they like try too hard to like force a square
- 2:42:07peg into a triangle hole or whatever, you know what
- 2:42:10I mean, Like they're trying too hard to make it
- 2:42:12all make sense versus just being like have fun with it,
- 2:42:14just run with it and have it kind of be
- 2:42:16a bit chaotic and nonsensical and you know, leave things
- 2:42:19up to the imagination to where it can kind of
- 2:42:21end on this weird note. I think Arslash No Sleep
- 2:42:24works a lot. It works really well when it's treated
- 2:42:27almost like a found footage horror film where you're like
- 2:42:29stuck in the middle of a vignette that just kind
- 2:42:31of ends, and we're not sure really where it goes afterwards,
- 2:42:34because it's just like this, this this piece of media
- 2:42:37that we've just kind of stumbled upon. I think that's
- 2:42:39how it works. That's when it works best, you know.
- 2:42:42Speaker 2: So I think, like I said, it's hard to write stories.
- 2:42:45Speaker 4: I did.
- 2:42:46Speaker 2: I posted something on Sleep so long ago where like
- 2:42:49I had a dream about this really weird like visual concept,
- 2:42:53so I wanted to write it out. So I wrote
- 2:42:54out the dream and then I was like, I guess
- 2:42:56I have to like give it a story ending. So
- 2:42:58I'm like, Okay, the guy dies, like whatever. No thought
- 2:43:01just threw it up on No Sleep for the fun
- 2:43:02of it. But it's like, that's not like it was.
- 2:43:05It was me throwing together a little concept in one
- 2:43:07night and being like, ah, I'm not sure how I
- 2:43:10wanted to end, so I'll just end it like this,
- 2:43:11like I get it, it's the thing that happens. But
- 2:43:14to have that go on for two chapters like please, yeah,
- 2:43:20they like, if you want to explain, give some dialogue,
- 2:43:23that's fine, Just you got to cut back on the
- 2:43:26links a little bit, because once it becomes the length
- 2:43:28of the rest of your story, then half of the
- 2:43:30story becomes filler about stuff that's already happened. Yeah, and
- 2:43:33I feel like it takes away from what was an
- 2:43:35interesting concept and a fun time there for a while. Yeah.
- 2:43:38Speaker 1: I don't think that my biggest complaint was even the
- 2:43:40kind of like amateurish writing. I think, like I actually
- 2:43:44sometimes even with some of these like Arslash No Soup stuff,
- 2:43:47the amateur part of it is what makes it so
- 2:43:50fun and like a little more believable in a way
- 2:43:52of like somebody trying to articulate their thoughts or something.
- 2:43:55It wouldn't be this perfect, well laid out thing. It
- 2:43:57would kind of be a little juvenile. So I don't know,
- 2:44:00it's just it's just repetition of like you just told
- 2:44:03me what it's like. Yeah, it's just the exposition of
- 2:44:06like I already know about this, you know, so yeah,
- 2:44:09but you know, Camp Oakwood it was. It's another experience.
- 2:44:13We have got to read a good story soon, though,
- 2:44:15I'm telling you guys, you know people people always ask
- 2:44:17us like, well they haven't read a good story or whatever.
- 2:44:19We go into these just as blind as everyone else.
- 2:44:23Speaker 2: Again, two and a half thousand up votes, and all
- 2:44:26the comments are like this is great, this is awesome,
- 2:44:28So okay, there's not. Really. We can't trust you guys clearly,
- 2:44:32and a lot of you guys are like me and
- 2:44:34are purposefully sabotaging episodes, but being like, oh, this story
- 2:44:37is awesome. I dared my best friend to ruin my life.
- 2:44:39You guys should read it. It's very scary. I know
- 2:44:41what you all are because I would do the same thing.
- 2:44:43There are a few that I've heard highly recommended before
- 2:44:46we pois our audience became poisoned and tried to trick us,
- 2:44:49like accounts from a lonely broadcast station. We should check
- 2:44:51that one out. Yeah, so there are some options, but yeah,
- 2:44:55we need I need to go to one.
- 2:44:56Speaker 1: I need to go one soon. We went on. We've
- 2:44:58been on a bleak streak. If anything we need, we
- 2:45:00need like a for our community. We need like a board,
- 2:45:03you know, like when it's like a factory where it's
- 2:45:05like X days since last accident, we need to do
- 2:45:07like x days last good story or something like that.
- 2:45:10Speaker 2: Well, what I Aspiring the Woods was good? I guess
- 2:45:12that was all.
- 2:45:13Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, I would say Aspiring Woods was our last
- 2:45:15big banger for sure. You know they don't they don't
- 2:45:18all need to be biblically amazing stuff, but just a
- 2:45:20nice like I just want like a nice little fucking
- 2:45:22punch in the gut where you're like, oh, that's a
- 2:45:24fun idea something like that. So I don't know. Until
- 2:45:26next time. Guys, we appreciate you. Thanks again for supporting
- 2:45:29us on YouTube. Like I said, we're I can't believe
- 2:45:31how high up ranked we are, and even on Spotify
- 2:45:34and Apple podcasts and all that. It's very very appreciated.
- 2:45:37So thank you so much. And until next time, everybody,
- 2:45:39stay creeped.
- 2:45:40Speaker 2: See you and the next one. Next time someone tells
- 2:45:43you you have to explain yourself, just don't and just
- 2:45:46punch that person.
