Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. So Leon Black has filed a defamation lawsuit
- 0:09Speaker 1: against Robert Garcia. And Robert Garcia is the top Democrat
- 0:15Speaker 1: on the House Oversight Committee that's been overseeing the investigation,
- 0:19Speaker 1: that's been overseeing the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein and the
- 0:24Speaker 1: people that enabled them. And according to Leon Black, he's
- 0:28Speaker 1: been defamed. by Mr. Garcia. Now, that is quite the allegation,
- 0:34Speaker 1: especially considering everything that we know about Leon Black. Now,
- 0:39Speaker 1: is everything that's been said about Leon Black true? Probably not.
- 0:45Speaker 1: But is there enough smoke to investigate the fire? I
- 0:49Speaker 1: would say so. And I think that trying to claim
- 0:52Speaker 1: that he's being defamed is quite a stretch. But according
- 0:56Speaker 1: to Leon Black and his team, That's exactly what's going on. Now,
- 1:02Speaker 1: it's one thing to make the allegation, and it's another
- 1:05Speaker 1: thing to see it all the way through. So I
- 1:08Speaker 1: have my doubts that we're going to see Leon Black
- 1:10Speaker 1: sit for a deposition when it comes to this situation.
- 1:14Speaker 1: And I think he's just trying to get out ahead
- 1:16Speaker 1: of things by filing this lawsuit. So that he could
- 1:20Speaker 1: say that he's being, you know, politically targeted, whatever it
- 1:24Speaker 1: might be. And it's funny, why did he file against Garcia...
- 1:28Speaker 1: and not Comer, my guess is so that he could
- 1:31Speaker 1: say it's political persecution. Oh look, I'm being targeted by
- 1:36Speaker 1: Robert Garcia, the Democrat, yada yada yada. Going right to
- 1:40Speaker 1: Trump's playbook. But I don't think that playbook's going to
- 1:42Speaker 1: work out so well moving forward. There's legitimate concerns with
- 1:47Speaker 1: a lot of people. And a lot of people that
- 1:49Speaker 1: have been engaged in a lot of corruption. And those
- 1:53Speaker 1: people need to be held accountable. I'm not somebody that
- 1:56Speaker 1: wants to see show trials, right? I don't want to
- 2:00Speaker 1: see retribution. What I want to see is accountability. And
- 2:05Speaker 1: I hope that the Democrats go that route as opposed
- 2:09Speaker 1: to just retribution. Because I'll be outspoken against that. That
- 2:13Speaker 1: leads us to a dark, bad place, just like when
- 2:16Speaker 1: Trump was doing it. Somebody has to be the bigger person,
- 2:20Speaker 1: the adult in the room. And truly start caring about
- 2:24Speaker 1: what happens to the republic moving forward. Because this back
- 2:28Speaker 1: and forth tit for tat stuff. Never turns out well.
- 2:32Speaker 1: When all is said and done. So we need to
- 2:35Speaker 1: have rational people. Going after folks. Who are actually involved
- 2:40Speaker 1: in corruption. And criminal activity. It can't just be retribution right?
- 2:45Speaker 1: And when it comes to Leon Black. There's no retribution here.
- 2:49Speaker 1: This is a man. Who's never answered questions. really answered
- 2:53Speaker 1: questions about his relationship with Jeffrey Epstein. And now people
- 2:56Speaker 1: are asking for those answers, and he wants to sue people?
- 3:00Speaker 1: He wants to act like an idiot? Okay, I guess.
- 3:04Speaker 1: Let's see what the court has to say. Because remember,
- 3:07Speaker 1: it's one thing to say, oh, I'm going to sue somebody,
- 3:10Speaker 1: and it's a whole ass other thing to see that
- 3:12Speaker 1: shit through. And don't think for a second it's not
- 3:15Speaker 1: perilous for Leon Black, because it most certainly is. Especially
- 3:19Speaker 1: when we start talking about Discovery. And shit like that.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Because once you're engaged in that, that can be used
- 3:26Speaker 1: by the authorities to go after you in a criminal manner.
- 3:30Speaker 1: Just ask Elaine Maxwell. So, the stakes are very high
- 3:35Speaker 1: for Leon Black here. And I have my doubts about
- 3:38Speaker 1: just how far Leon Black plans to take it. So today,
- 3:42Speaker 1: we have an article from NBC News and the headline.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Billionaire Leon Black sues Representative Robert Garcia alleging defamation over
- 3:52Speaker 1: the Epstein comments. This article was authored by Raquel Coronel Uribe.
- 4:00Speaker 1: Billionaire Leon Black filed a defamation lawsuit on Wednesday against
- 4:04Speaker 1: Representative Robert Garcia of California, the top Democrat on the
- 4:08Speaker 1: House Oversight Committee, which has spearheaded a Jeffrey Epstein investigation,
- 4:13Speaker 1: if you want to call it that. I mean, let's
- 4:14Speaker 1: be real. I've been pretty critical of the process from
- 4:18Speaker 1: the beginning of And that's because I don't feel like
- 4:20Speaker 1: they've gone hard enough. The people that were getting called in,
- 4:25Speaker 1: they should all be getting colonoscopies. It shouldn't be a
- 4:28Speaker 1: friendly endeavor. Every last one of these people should have
- 4:31Speaker 1: been put under oath and forced to testify under oath.
- 4:36Speaker 1: I've always said that it should have been much more adversarial.
- 4:40Speaker 1: It was too friendly. I mean, look at Todd Blanche
- 4:43Speaker 1: and his meeting with Glenn Maxwell. They might as well
- 4:45Speaker 1: have had tea and crumpets, right? Certainly didn't look like
- 4:49Speaker 1: the top lawman in America. Grilling one of the worst
- 4:52Speaker 1: child sex traffickers we've ever seen. So that's another question
- 4:57Speaker 1: that needs to be answered. But when you look at
- 5:00Speaker 1: the whole entire congressional committee, sure, they had some depositions
- 5:05Speaker 1: and they talked to some people. But what came of it?
- 5:09Speaker 1: That's really what it comes down to. You can talk
- 5:12Speaker 1: until the cows come home. But what came of that conversation?
- 5:17Speaker 1: Did anybody get referred? Did anybody get arrested? Is anybody
- 5:20Speaker 1: going to be held accountable? Well, so far, the answer
- 5:23Speaker 1: is no. Black has been the target of subpoenas from
- 5:28Speaker 1: the Republican-led committee, which unanimously voted in September to hold
- 5:31Speaker 1: him in contempt over his refusal to comply with those subpoenas. Black,
- 5:37Speaker 1: a former Wall Street private equity investor who had a
- 5:40Speaker 1: business relationship with Epstein, sued Garcia in the Southern District
- 5:45Speaker 1: of New York, alleging he has knowingly and willfully lied
- 5:48Speaker 1: about Leon Black and defamed him. The suit cites comments
- 5:52Speaker 1: from Garcia that Black was at the center and directly
- 5:56Speaker 1: involved with Epstein's crimes. Well, I'd say that's true. Maybe
- 6:02Speaker 1: not directly as far as abusing all the girls with Epstein,
- 6:08Speaker 1: but certainly financially. Yo, do people not understand that you
- 6:12Speaker 1: can do 25 years for wire fraud? Like, what are
- 6:16Speaker 1: we talking about here? Like we should just forget that
- 6:20Speaker 1: and ignore it like it's no big fucking deal? The
- 6:23Speaker 1: amount of financial malfeasance that occurred? I'm sorry, but I'm
- 6:27Speaker 1: not going to let it go. There's just way too
- 6:29Speaker 1: much meat on that bone. And I think that if
- 6:32Speaker 1: we want to hold people accountable, I know you're getting
- 6:34Speaker 1: tired of hearing me say it, but that's how we
- 6:36Speaker 1: do it. We go after the people that we're engaging
- 6:40Speaker 1: financially with Epstein and then we work from there. That
- 6:44Speaker 1: opens the door. And once the door is opened, who
- 6:47Speaker 1: the fuck knows what we're gonna find. A spokesperson for
- 6:51Speaker 1: Garcia didn't immediately respond to a request for comment on
- 6:54Speaker 1: the lawsuit. Garcia said in a statement in September in
- 6:58Speaker 1: response to a lawsuit Black filed against the committee that
- 7:02Speaker 1: Black had funded Epstein's abuse and trafficking women, adding, multiple
- 7:07Speaker 1: women have also accused Black of sexual assault. His connections
- 7:13Speaker 1: to Epstein and his unwillingness to cooperate are unacceptable. Well,
- 7:17Speaker 1: I agree with that. There's no doubt that he should
- 7:21Speaker 1: be cooperating and he should have cooperated a long time ago.
- 7:24Speaker 1: And that's part of the problem. The fact that nobody
- 7:26Speaker 1: went and talked to him when Epstein was first arrested,
- 7:29Speaker 1: when all of this was first starting, that's a big problem.
- 7:34Speaker 1: And that needs to be answered. Who made that decision? Why?
- 7:38Speaker 1: Who was involved? Did that come down from DOJ brass?
- 7:42Speaker 1: Did somebody decide that on their own? And if so,
- 7:45Speaker 1: who's that person? Because remember, that's what the Epstein Files
- 7:48Speaker 1: Transparency Act called for. We're supposed to know who was
- 7:52Speaker 1: making decisions and why those decisions were made. But instead,
- 7:57Speaker 1: we got a bunch of fucking redactions. And then they
- 7:59Speaker 1: wonder why they lost the election. In a statement about
- 8:04Speaker 1: the lawsuit against Garcia on Wednesday, a spokesperson for Black
- 8:08Speaker 1: wrote that he has never abused a woman. He has
- 8:11Speaker 1: never been with an underage woman. He's never been involved
- 8:14Speaker 1: with sex trafficking. And he never paid Epstein for women. Okay,
- 8:18Speaker 1: what exactly did he pay Epstein for? And don't give
- 8:21Speaker 1: us the bullshit, oh, it's tax advice. Nobody believes that.
- 8:24Speaker 1: So open the books. Let's see what's going on. Let's
- 8:27Speaker 1: see what he was paying for. I mean, if that's
- 8:31Speaker 1: what you want to do, if that's what Leon Black
- 8:34Speaker 1: is saying, then cool. Subpoena his books, go through them
- 8:38Speaker 1: with a fine-tooth comb, and any kind of financial malfeasance
- 8:42Speaker 1: that's found, he should be charged to the fullest extent
- 8:45Speaker 1: of the law, and anybody else associated with him that
- 8:49Speaker 1: was receiving ill-gotten gains, they should be charged too, just
- 8:53Speaker 1: like you would be. With the Democrats set to take
- 8:55Speaker 1: control of the House in January, Garcia's poised to become
- 8:59Speaker 1: the new chair of the Oversight Committee. Black stepped down
- 9:03Speaker 1: from the hedge fund he co-founded Apollo Global Management in
- 9:07Speaker 1: 2021 after the firm conducted an independent review of his
- 9:10Speaker 1: ties to Epstein. The review found that Black whose denied
- 9:15Speaker 1: wrongdoing tied to Epstein, wasn't involved in Epstein's criminal activities. Well,
- 9:20Speaker 1: there it is, folks. Apollo Global tells us that their
- 9:23Speaker 1: boss wasn't involved. Everybody should pack it up and head home.
- 9:28Speaker 1: What a bunch of absolute nincompoops. Black sat for a
- 9:33Speaker 1: voluntary closed-door transcribed interview with the House Oversight Committee over
- 9:37Speaker 1: the summer, but left before it was over. Lawmakers on
- 9:40Speaker 1: the committee issued subpoenas to compel him to answer questions
- 9:44Speaker 1: They said he wasn't answering, but Black didn't show up
- 9:48Speaker 1: for a later deposition. He then sued the committee to
- 9:51Speaker 1: block the subpoenas for his appearance and nondisclosure agreements tied
- 9:55Speaker 1: to Epstein. The case is still being litigated. And I
- 10:00Speaker 1: think when all is said and done, he's going to
- 10:02Speaker 1: have to turn over this documentation to Congress. Now, there
- 10:06Speaker 1: might be some kind of NPA that has nothing to
- 10:09Speaker 1: do with Epstein that is left out, but anything tied
- 10:13Speaker 1: to Epstein, I think he's going to be forced and
- 10:15Speaker 1: compelled to turn over. The House later voted to hold
- 10:20Speaker 1: Black in contempt of Congress, Reuters reported, that the Justice
- 10:24Speaker 1: Department said September 16th in a statement that the U.S.
- 10:27Speaker 1: Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia will review the
- 10:30Speaker 1: referral of Mr. Black carefully and will not hesitate to
- 10:34Speaker 1: pursue additional cases where the evidence supports. No charges have
- 10:38Speaker 1: been filed against Black. And I'm sure that his son
- 10:42Speaker 1: Ben Black being part of this corrupt-ass, disgusting administration has
- 10:46Speaker 1: nothing to do with that, right? I mean, can you
- 10:50Speaker 1: imagine being Donald Trump and having all these Epstein adjacents
- 10:55Speaker 1: around you? No wonder this dude wants everything kept under wraps.
- 11:01Speaker 1: So as far as it goes here with this lawsuit,
- 11:04Speaker 1: when I actually get the documents, we'll get those added
- 11:06Speaker 1: to the catalog as well. But as far as this
- 11:09Speaker 1: one goes, that's going to do it. All the information
- 11:13Speaker 1: that goes with this episode can be found in the
- 11:16Speaker 1: description box below.
