- 0:01Leviticus Chapter 11. Let's get it.
- 0:04We thank you, Father, for everything that you've done for
- 0:07us today. Lord, thank you for rescuing us
- 0:12from ourselves, from the grip of the enemy.
- 0:15We know that no one can snatch us out of your hands.
- 0:20So thank you God for covering us.
- 0:22Lord, we move in obedience today unto your scripture.
- 0:27Thank you Lord for a life worth living.
- 0:30In Jesus name I pray, Amen. Well let's start in verse one.
- 0:36And the Lord spoke unto Moses and to Aaron, saying unto them
- 0:40too speak unto the children of Israel, saying these are the
- 0:43beasts which you shall eat among all the beasts that are on the
- 0:46earth. So what you're going to need to
- 0:48know as we get into the next 5 chapters, friends, is that God
- 0:53is going to give them all of their marching orders.
- 0:57He's going to read them their rights, and He's going to show
- 1:01them how they are to persevere, to be preserved.
- 1:06Friends from disease and from famine, from leprosy, friends
- 1:11from tapeworms. You need to understand that God
- 1:14is giving them many of their hygienic mandates that would
- 1:21keep them alive through the ages.
- 1:25And they're still alive today. Many people groups have come and
- 1:28gone and are no more. There are no more remaining
- 1:33survivors of many of the nations mentioned in the Bible.
- 1:39But look how we're still talking about nation Israel today, the
- 1:43ethnic Jews today. And are they not a hot topic?
- 1:48And it really does not matter what side of the aisle you find
- 1:52yourself on. Jew hatred has been something
- 1:57that has been around since Cain killed Abel.
- 2:02You need to know it is a satanic murderous revolt whenever we
- 2:07persecute any people group. Period.
- 2:11And you need to understand that we don't have to agree with all
- 2:16the political policies of that land and of that nation.
- 2:21But God promised them that land, friends, and God is for nation
- 2:28Israel. And you need to understand that
- 2:31it doesn't matter how many people increase the rhetoric,
- 2:36the Jews are here to stay and God's looking out for them even
- 2:40today. The ethnic Jews will make it in
- 2:43the end. Go and listen to Romans Chapter
- 2:4711 for a deeper dive of what it looks like for the Jews to make
- 2:54it all the way in the end, Friends.
- 2:56The ethnic Jews will be there with us forevermore.
- 3:01You can't do anything with them. God created them for himself and
- 3:05the Church did not absorb them. Friends, you need to know they
- 3:11are the natural and we're just the wild grafted in.
- 3:17And if the natural could be cut off, how much more could the
- 3:19wild be cut off? So examine yourself today. 3
- 3:28whatsoever parts, the hoof and this cloven footed and choose to
- 3:32cut among the beasts that shall you eat.
- 3:37So here He's giving them the animals that were kosher to eat
- 3:43that did not carry diseases, and all the other animals that were
- 3:49known to carry parasites and to carry diseases.
- 3:55Verse 4 Nevertheless, these shall you not eat of them that
- 3:58chew the cud or of them that divide the hoof as the camel,
- 4:02because he choose the cud but divides not the hoof.
- 4:05He is unclean unto you. We need to rightly divide the
- 4:08word of God. We need to chew the cud,
- 4:11friends. We need to get into the word of
- 4:13God and we need to actually digest it and ruminate it,
- 4:17friends. We need to get in there and we
- 4:19need to meditate upon it, friends, and let it roll over in
- 4:23your mind all day. These words, the Word became
- 4:27flesh. The Word is alive and active.
- 4:29In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and
- 4:33the Word was God. The Word is God and you hold it
- 4:36in your hand. Chew the God divide the hoof,
- 4:39friends. 5 and the Coney, because he choose the cud, but
- 4:45divides not the hoof, he is unclean unto you. 6 in the hair,
- 4:50because he choose the cud, but divides not the hoof, He is
- 4:53unclean unto you and the swine, though he divides the hoof and
- 5:00be cloven footed, yet he choose not the cud, He's unclean to
- 5:04you. Interestingly enough, Jesus told
- 5:07us that it's not what goes in the the mouth that defiles us,
- 5:12but it is what comes out. It's our words, it's our
- 5:15motives, it's what's stored in the heart that defiles us,
- 5:19friends. And we see Peter on the roof and
- 5:23the sheet let down twice, and we see that God told him to eat of
- 5:28these unclean animals. You see that by the time that
- 5:32the New Testament rolls around, much of the disease ridden
- 5:37practices would have been abolished and it was OK for us
- 5:41to eat of the pig and of the bacon.
- 5:45Friends. We see friends that God reversed
- 5:48a lot of these, but these were for their preservation.
- 5:52Don't miss it. Lock in eight of their flesh
- 5:59shall you not eat, and their carcass shall you not touch, for
- 6:03they are unclean to you. None these shall you eat of all
- 6:07that are in the waters. Whatsoever has fins and scales
- 6:10in the waters and the seas, and in the rivers, them shall you
- 6:14eat. 10 And all that have not fins and scales in the seas and
- 6:23in the rivers of all that move in the waters, and of any living
- 6:27thing which is in the waters, they shall be an abomination
- 6:31unto you. So a lot of these also were
- 6:33idols. These were the things that
- 6:36people would take, and they would idolize and worship as
- 6:40lowercase G gods, and God would have no part in it.
- 6:43He says that they are not to have any other gods beside him.
- 6:4811 And they shall be even an abomination unto you.
- 6:52You shall not eat of their flesh, but you shall have their
- 6:54carcasses. An abomination. 12 Whatsoever
- 6:57has no fins nor scales in the waters, that shall be an
- 7:01abomination unto you. So this would keep them from
- 7:04being poisoned by shellfish and by bottom feeders who would
- 7:09carry parasites. 12 Whatsoever has no fins or scales shall be
- 7:14an abomination. 13 And these are they which you shall have an
- 7:19abomination among the fowls. They shall not be eaten.
- 7:23They are an abomination. The eagle and the ospreage, the
- 7:26osprey, the Vulture and the kite after his kind.
- 7:29These were scavengers and predators, friends.
- 7:33These were the ones who were the cleanup crews, and they they
- 7:36were not to be eaten, because they carried all kinds of
- 7:39diseases. 15 Every Raven of his kind in the Owl and the
- 7:45Nighthawk, and the cuck cow, and the Hawk after his kind. 17 And
- 7:50the little owl, and the Comerant, and the great owl, and
- 7:53the Swan, and the Pelican, and the gear eagle. 19 The stork and
- 7:57the Heron after her kind, and the lapwing and the Bat. 20 All
- 8:01fowls, that Crete going upon all four shall be an abomination
- 8:06unto you. So what he's telling them is
- 8:09they are not to eat the predator birds.
- 8:17They're not to eat the ones who walk across the land.
- 8:21They're not to eat of the birds who are the cleanup crew, who
- 8:26are full of diseases. 21 Yet these may you eat of every
- 8:33flying creeping thing that goes upon all four which have legs
- 8:37above their feet to leap with all upon the earth. 22 Even
- 8:42these of them you may eat, the locust after his kind, the bald
- 8:46locust after his kind, and the beetle after his kind in the
- 8:50grasshop grasshopper after his kind.
- 8:53So we see John the Baptist eating the locusts and honey.
- 8:57We see that this is acceptable unto God. 23 And all the other
- 9:04flying, creeping things which have 4 feet shall be an
- 9:08abomination unto you. So this is any insect, no matter
- 9:13how many legs they have that creep across the ground, they
- 9:17are not to be eaten. 24 And for these you shall be unclean.
- 9:23Whosoever touches the carcass of them shall be unclean even to
- 9:27the evening. So even if it was a clean thing
- 9:29and it died, it was not to be eaten.
- 9:31No Rd. Kill 25 And whosoever bears out
- 9:35of the carcass of them shall wash his clothes and be unclean
- 9:39until the evening. And did you know, friends, that
- 9:43even up to this day the possum still carries leprosy?
- 9:48And you need to understand that God knows what He's doing, and
- 9:51He's telling them that they are not to eat of these things, and
- 9:56it would actually keep them from dying off from disease. 26 The
- 10:01carcasses of every beast which divides the hoof and is not
- 10:05clothing footed nor choose the cud, are unclean to you.
- 10:09Every one that touches them shall be unclean.
- 10:12So if you were to come across them and accidentally touch
- 10:15them, you had to go and bathe and wash yourself to get it off
- 10:19of you. 27 And whatsoever goes upon his paws, among all manner
- 10:25of the beast that go on, all for those are unclean to you.
- 10:28Whosoever touches the carcass shall be unclean until the
- 10:31evening. 28 And he that bears the carcass of them shall wash
- 10:36his clothes and be unclean until the evening they are unclean to
- 10:40you. So they're not to bring any of
- 10:42these diseases amongst their fellow Israelites, and for
- 10:46disease to start. 29 These also shall be unclean among you, the
- 10:52creeping things which creep upon the earth, the weasel, the
- 10:55mouse, the tortoise after his gun, 30 The ferret, the
- 10:59chameleon, the lizard and the snail and the mole. 31 These are
- 11:03unclean to you among all that creep.
- 11:05Whosoever does touch them when they be dead shall be unclean
- 11:10until the evening. So any of these rodents that
- 11:14would come in to the house or any of these insects that would
- 11:18creep into the house and touch any of the dishes that were to
- 11:23be eaten from or to be cooked out of, they were to be
- 11:26demolished and completely done away with because they would
- 11:31carry diseases. And they'd crawl across your
- 11:34fork, and then you would put it in your mouth, and it would be a
- 11:38disease unto you. 32 Upon whatsoever any of them would
- 11:44they are dead, does fall. It shall be unclean, whether it
- 11:48be any vessel of wood or raiment, or skin, or sack,
- 11:51Whatsoever vessel it be wherein any work is done, it must be put
- 11:55into water. It shall be unclean until the
- 11:58evening, and so it shall be cleansed.
- 12:00So for these vessels, they are to be washed before they are
- 12:05used again. 33 And every earthen vessel wherein any of them
- 12:09falls, whatsoever is in it shall be unclean, and you shall break
- 12:14it. So there it is, the pottery is
- 12:16to be broken. 34 Of all meat which they may be eaten, that on
- 12:23which such water comes shall be unclean.
- 12:26And all drink that may be drunk, and every such vessel shall be
- 12:29unclean. So you need to understand that
- 12:32if the animal touched the dish or any of the water that went in
- 12:38the dish, it was unclean. This was a way for them to be
- 12:41preserved and for them not to die off. 36 Nevertheless, a
- 12:46fountain or a pit where there is plenty of water shall be clean,
- 12:50but that which touches their carcass shall be unclean.
- 12:53Look at the mind of God, look at the wisdom of God to be able to
- 12:58keep these two million plus Jews and growing from dying off in
- 13:03the wilderness and when they get in to their homeland, the land
- 13:08following with milk and honey. The kosher dietary regulations
- 13:13were to keep them from being infested with all kinds of
- 13:17diseases and famines and plagues.
- 13:20And Even so much so that whenever the Black Plague broke
- 13:25out, friends, you need to understand that the Jews were
- 13:28demonized because they were living when the rest of the
- 13:32world was dying, because they were adhering to these dietary
- 13:38restrictions of kosher diets. And because they were, they were
- 13:42not affected in the same way that the rest of the world was.
- 13:46And you need to understand, friends, that so many times in
- 13:50the history of the Jews, they have been demonized and is no
- 13:55different in our day and our hour.
- 13:56And we need to be found standing with the Jews friends for all of
- 14:01eternity, forever and ever. They are God's chosen people,
- 14:06the 37 And if any part of the carcass fall upon any sowing
- 14:13seed which is to be sown, it shall be cleaned.
- 14:15So if the seed was dry, it would be preserved. 38 But if any
- 14:20water be put upon the seed, and any any part of the carcass
- 14:24falls on it, it shall be unclean.
- 14:26So if water had fallen, and the germination of the seed had
- 14:30started, then they were to discard those seeds. 39 And if
- 14:34any beast of which may eat dies, and he touches the carcass,
- 14:39thereof shall be unclean until the evening. 40 And he that eats
- 14:44of the carcass shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the
- 14:47evening. He also that bears the carcass
- 14:50of it shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening.
- 14:54So here Moses through God, God is giving all this through
- 14:58Moses. He's telling them how they are
- 15:01to approach God, and how they are to be kept from falling
- 15:05away. 40 And he that eats of the carcass shall wash his clothes
- 15:09until the evening. He also that bears the carcass
- 15:14of it shall wash his clothes and be unclean until the evening. 41
- 15:19And every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth shall be
- 15:22an abomination. It shall not be eaten. 42
- 15:26Whatsoever goes upon the belly, and whatsoever goes upon all
- 15:30four, whatsoever has more feet among all creeping things that
- 15:34creep upon the earth, that you shall not eat.
- 15:37They are an abomination. 43 You shall not make yourselves
- 15:41abominable with any creeping thing that creeps, neither shall
- 15:46you make yourselves unclean with them, for you should be defiled
- 15:50thereby. So God knows how to keep his
- 15:53people pure and clean and away from blight. 44 For I am the
- 15:59Lord your God. You shall therefore sanctify
- 16:04yourselves, and you shall be holy, for I am holy.
- 16:09So that is what God desires for us to day be holy because he is
- 16:14holy, be set apart because he is set apart.
- 16:17And it's not because of anything that we do, but it is because of
- 16:21everything that he did that we can be set apart and holy.
- 16:25And when we have that reality, we'll actually start doing the
- 16:30things that God has asked us to do.
- 16:32It is not that we find more favor with God or that He loves
- 16:36us more when we do the things that He asks us, but because we
- 16:40love Him and because we are known by Him, we desire to do
- 16:45the things that He asks us to do, and it proves that we are
- 16:49his. 45 For I am the Lord that brings you up out of the land of
- 16:55Egypt to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for
- 16:59I am holy. What an amazing thought is the
- 17:02God of the universe who spoke everything into existence, chose
- 17:08to reveal Himself to nation Israel, and to give them the
- 17:14only piece of literature known to mankind that has the track
- 17:19record to be able to predict itself to the pinpoint accuracy
- 17:24that the Bible already has. And all of the unfulfilled
- 17:29prophecies inside of the Bible that have yet to be fulfilled,
- 17:33God will bring to fruition in the exact same way that He has
- 17:38in the past. You hold within your hands
- 17:42Organism that is alive and active and sharper than any 2
- 17:45edged sword. And you need to understand,
- 17:48friends, there is no other religion in the world.
- 17:52There is no other God in the world.
- 17:55There is no other higher power than the God of Israel, the God
- 18:00of the Jews. 46 This is the law of the beasts and of the fowl,
- 18:07and every living creature that moves in the waters, and of
- 18:11every creature that creeps upon the earth.
- 18:14We'll end on 47 to make a difference between unclean and
- 18:18clean, between beasts that may be eaten and beasts that may not
- 18:23be eaten. What you need to understand is
- 18:26that as the Israelites moved about from town to town within
- 18:33the Gentiles, within the Pagan world, you need to understand
- 18:39that this would have set them apart.
- 18:44There was no two ways about it. They could not cohabitate and
- 18:49they could not intermingle with all the nations as they moved
- 18:56towards the Promised land. And even as they are in the
- 18:58promised land, they were not to intermingle with the rest of the
- 19:05world. And look at even today, friends,
- 19:07let's Fast forward to today. Think about it.
- 19:15You have little nation Israel surrounded by Muslim hostile
- 19:22neighbors. Why are they not Muslim?
- 19:30Think about it, this Bible that you hold in your hands is the
- 19:35reality. And all the nations that war
- 19:39against little nation Israel come from the lineage of
- 19:45Ishmael. Think about it friends, they're
- 19:52still warring. He is a warring nation, always
- 19:54at odds with his brother. I hope you've been blessed by
- 19:58this amazing chapter in God's Word.
- 20:01I know I sure have. I'm praying for every single one
- 20:04of you. I love you.
- 20:05We'll see you back here tomorrow.
- 20:06God bless you.
