Transcript
- 0:02Hello, everybody. Welcome to Eye Opener Society and welcome to the Thursday Night Sermon.
- 0:07Take two. I just got done recording and for whatever reason, the audio failed me.
- 0:16And it's really funny because before we got on, I had a conversation,
- 0:21a long conversation with Lizzie, who unfortunately cannot be here tonight.
- 0:25It's her daughter's birthday and Lizzie messed up her foot and she's got some
- 0:28problems where she can't walk around. So she's going to be away tonight.
- 0:32Not a big deal. We have somebody standing by who I'll introduce in a little while.
- 0:37I was going to talk about communication because I was speaking about this to Lizzie.
- 0:42And Lizzie, of course, inspired me to talk because I had ideas talking about
- 0:46the third eye and all this other stuff.
- 0:49But communication, here's what we had decided.
- 0:53I had sat and said that Human beings are probably the highest Life form,
- 1:02so to speak When it comes to communication We have speech We have tons of different
- 1:11languages We can talk with our mouths We can write things down We could draw pictograms.
- 1:21And we have body language. We could sometimes talk without even saying the word.
- 1:27Sometimes just our eyes alone give away what we're saying.
- 1:32And it's pretty interesting that on such a high form of communication or communicators,
- 1:41it turns out we're the worst communicators.
- 1:44Now, we could blame one, social media these days.
- 1:48Everything's done by text. There's no real body language behind There's no context to it,
- 1:54There's no infliction in voice You can't really tell And people are resorting
- 1:58more and more to shorter form videos So we don't want to hear things spelled
- 2:03out for us anymore We want everything condensed real quick It bothers me Because
- 2:08I've always been big in communication,
- 2:12And so when we go online When everything's supposed to work And it don't Well,
- 2:18that takes away too from the communication,
- 2:22And when we have a ministry like this And we want to communicate to everybody,
- 2:27And it's even harder when the stuff doesn't work The technology doesn't work
- 2:31But we still have a voice I could still get it out there I could still tape
- 2:34it I could still put it up on platforms,
- 2:38In this case, I'm just doing a take two That's all It's just not live But you're
- 2:42going to get the recording even still.
- 2:45And having said all of this When we're trying to get this message out My biggest
- 2:50message is to communicate to everyone,
- 2:53On a much higher frequency Because I'm trying to spread more good news Rather than bad news,
- 3:01And having done so I'll give you a little back story I'll give you a little back story,
- 3:07I put up a small clip, you know, these shorts, you know, and I try to do it every day.
- 3:13YouTube is a weird place, not going to lie. There's always someone there with a stupid comment.
- 3:19And I don't mind constructive criticism. I don't mind feedback or comments.
- 3:25But when you're just personally attacking somebody, I made a short that basically
- 3:29said, one of the greatest things you can carry around with you all the time is a smile.
- 3:37Because you could pull it out anytime. It would change the way you feel almost instantly.
- 3:41It's just one of those things you should always have. That was it.
- 3:47Some female had been, and I don't mean to use female like, oh,
- 3:51it's some female, but it was a female and it's relevant to this,
- 3:54had made a comment, oh, how profound a smile.
- 3:57Just don't go telling females to smile because they're liable to smack that
- 4:00smile right off your face and you'll never be able to smile again.
- 4:05And so I sat there completely shocked reading this. One, that was not my message.
- 4:11I wasn't saying guys should go up to girls and tell them to smile.
- 4:16I was saying you should be smiling yourself. But regardless, not a big deal.
- 4:21Now, amazingly, I brought this up to Lizzie. And, you know, Lizzie gave a whole
- 4:24nother perspective on it.
- 4:26But, you know, it was interpreted wrong. But you know Everybody's stuck in this
- 4:31world now Where because of other people's stupidity,
- 4:37Pretty much everybody else suffers for it And that's not really right I would
- 4:42like to change that We must understand that,
- 4:46We must know our audience We must know who we are talking to But at that same
- 4:50time Should we be speaking to a stranger And a stranger's trying to get to know
- 4:54you Do you want to put on a facade And tell them
- 4:59Things that are not true about you Do you want to speak to them.
- 5:06In a way that you don't normally speak, I like to let things just flow.
- 5:11Because if someone's trying to get to know me, they're going to get to know the real me.
- 5:17Now, if they don't like the real me, I'm 100% okay with that.
- 5:22But they don't need to attack me for being me as I wouldn't attack them for
- 5:26being them or for not liking me.
- 5:29These are things as human beings where as advanced as we so-called say we are,
- 5:36Especially with communication We're still so miserable at it There's a lot of
- 5:41ego involved in this What I
- 5:43say goes What I say is the truth These are the problems with communication,
- 5:49All we need to do Is speak and speak our mind But we should be respected of
- 5:54that And those of you who don't like What someone is saying,
- 5:59Turn it off Don't listen to it Listen to it Don't let it affect you There's
- 6:04many ways around it We can't attack another person Just for what they are saying
- 6:09So let's become much better Communicators.
- 6:15As we so-called are as far as advanced communication.
- 6:19Because you know what? Lizzie had bought up orcas. And I can tell you that dolphins
- 6:23and whales probably have a much higher communication than we do.
- 6:29And since she had bought it up, she's probably 100% right.
- 6:33We're probably going to be knocked down to that very bottom of the food chain
- 6:36when it comes to communicating. If we're not doing things right.
- 6:41We need to start learning how to balance.
- 6:44This way we can talk We can communicate We vibe with those that vibe with us.
- 6:52And as for you That are listening, downloading, hearing us All I'm trying to
- 6:58say is We are here for you We love you, we appreciate you We appreciate everything that you do for us,
- 7:06And that's all that matters,
- 7:09So now I'm going to turn over the microphones to Elaine.
- 7:14Many of you know her. I know if you've been listening because I know she gets
- 7:17more downloads than my show.
- 7:20Elaine has recently been ordained by Eye Opener Society as a minister.
- 7:25She decided to join us on this Thursday night sermon.
- 7:29And unfortunately, it didn't work out, but she stuck around.
- 7:31So now we can do the recorded version.
- 7:33And I'm very glad because I'm dying to hear what she has to say.
- 7:36And it's really nice to have her on.
- 7:38So I'm turning the microphone over now to Elaine from Arcane Oracle. Elaine, take it away.
- 7:46Thank you so much, Gary. Thank you for having me on and thank you for your patience
- 7:50with the technology struggles we were experiencing earlier.
- 7:56Really appreciate you and that was a great talk and I'm sure you would agree
- 8:02that the best path to spiritual enlightenment is arguing with strangers on the internet.
- 8:12I'm kidding. Of course I'm kidding. But anyway, I really love your message there
- 8:20that communication, it's so, so important, so underutilized.
- 8:26We can always improve how we communicate, how productive our communication is.
- 8:34And maybe you can help me Remember, I believe there was a Buddhist maxim that
- 8:42let your words pass through four gates.
- 8:44Is it true? Is it kind? Is it helpful? Is it necessary?
- 8:51Oftentimes, I mean, I'm a Gemini. I have a lot of thoughts going on at all times
- 8:57spinning around in my head.
- 8:58I have a lot of chatter I could throw out there.
- 9:01But, you know, if I really try to focus on those four gates,
- 9:06I find that I oftentimes don't have a whole lot to say.
- 9:11I don't know if that's true for other people.
- 9:15But anyway, so on that note of communication, if you check out my podcast for
- 9:22the month of June, as I'm sure many of you will,
- 9:24there are a lot of different astrological events going on, transits to Mercury,
- 9:30as well as the full moon in Sagittarius and the new moon in Gemini.
- 9:34These are powerful opportunities
- 9:38to adjust refine and
- 9:41change our communications the nature of
- 9:44our communications the quality of our communications and our
- 9:47communication style sagittarius the full
- 9:50moons they illuminate light up things in our subjects
- 9:54in our lives sagittarius you know it's
- 9:56about adventure and free free
- 10:00spirited experience and all of that but sagittarius is
- 10:03also about messaging it's about education higher
- 10:06education primarily and publication so you know a podcast could be seen through
- 10:13the sign and perspective of Sagittarius as well as the ninth house so the full
- 10:19moon at the end of May and first day of June June 1st it's a great time.
- 10:26To focus on messaging as as
- 10:29a key focus and then on june 15th there's
- 10:33the gemini new moon gemini is the sign of communication so that's a wonderful
- 10:38time to hit the reset button on communication as well as messaging but anyway
- 10:44you learn all about that in this month's arcane oracle astrology podcast.
- 10:51Forgive me, I can't talk.
- 10:52Anyway, I'd prepared a little chat on spiritual practice, basics of beginning
- 10:58one's own spiritual practice.
- 11:01And spiritual practices are intentional routine activities and rituals designed
- 11:07to cultivate inner growth, to connect with the divine, and to foster deeper
- 11:11awareness of the sacred in one's daily life.
- 11:14And these practices can be solitary or communal.
- 11:18A good spiritual practice strives to transform oneself, to cultivate the inner
- 11:24self, and to transform the heart, align personal values, and foster spiritual development.
- 11:31Why should you start your own spiritual practice? My answer would be for the
- 11:35endless benefit, and they really are endless.
- 11:39Benefits include increased intuition and better inner guidance for psychic abilities,
- 11:44connection to divinity.
- 11:46Oh, I, sorry, Arliss has decided to podcast bomb.
- 11:54Forgive me. But anyway, connection to divinity, spirit guides, and the spirit realm.
- 11:59Self-development and cultivation of one's character Increased personal vibration
- 12:06and psychic energy or personal attunement Improved mental and emotional health,
- 12:12metacognition, resiliency,
- 12:14and awareness For inner peace, serenity, and stress management Those are key
- 12:19benefits of a daily spiritual practice Or at least a regular spiritual practice,
- 12:25and also endless add-on benefits as
- 12:28you develop and expand on your own unique spiritual practice
- 12:31and it should be unique to each person so where should you start the first steps
- 12:38are grounding and centering your own spiritual energy it's best to begin any
- 12:42spiritual practice with a basic grounding ritual there's endless methods for
- 12:46grounding of course and the best grounding method is whatever method feels most effective for you.
- 12:52In the process of grounding, you should begin to feel the essence of your own
- 12:56spiritual energy, your chi or your soul, if you will.
- 13:00After you feel sufficiently grounded, you can start the centering process and
- 13:06you begin by breathing into it and feeling its flow.
- 13:09The idea is to attune yourself with it and begin to feel it like a muscle.
- 13:15Then concentrate on drawing in your energy into your chest or heart center.
- 13:23Second step is consecration, and this involves sacred intent,
- 13:26sacred space, and one's personal altar.
- 13:30Consecration is a solemn act of setting someone or something apart for a sacred divine purpose.
- 13:37This practice is also known as dedication, ordination, blessing, or hallowing.
- 13:42If possible, choose a private and peaceful spot in your dwelling to dedicate as a sacred space.
- 13:48You can do this with simple sacred intention, but you can also use a ritual
- 13:53that calls to you to set your sacred space.
- 14:02Setting up your own spiritual altar can also empower your individual spiritual
- 14:07practice This can also help establish routine and consistency with your spiritual practice,
- 14:22Third step is spiritual connection Connecting to divinity,
- 14:27your spirit guides, your angels, or your ancestors Whoever you connect with
- 14:31on your spirit team Everyone has a spirit team of guides,
- 14:36ancestors, angels, and so on Spirit teams are as unique as the individual people
- 14:41that they guide By engaging in regular spiritual practice, you can connect with
- 14:47your spirit team better And in turn,
- 14:49you can receive clearer guidance from your guides along your journey of spiritual development.
- 14:56Fourth step is meditation, prayer, and personal spiritual rituals.
- 15:01The key here is to choose whatever method most calls to you and whatever you
- 15:06can consistently follow.
- 15:08This is how you make your spiritual practice unique and, most importantly, make it routine.
- 15:15And the fifth step, consider spiritual journaling.
- 15:19It's not a requirement, but journaling can be a powerful tool for discovering
- 15:23sacred insights and intuitions, for shadow work and self-development,
- 15:28for manifestation and magic, and for charting your own spiritual growth.
- 15:32The possibilities really are endless, and you should consider incorporating
- 15:37journaling into your spiritual practice.
- 15:40Starting your own spiritual practice is a transformative process that begins
- 15:44with small, deliberate steps.
- 15:46By incorporating simple but intentional rituals like grounding and centering,
- 15:51consecration, and regular rituals of spiritual connection, you open the door
- 15:56to a life of deeper awareness, inner peace,
- 15:59spirit-guided wisdom, and profound personal growth.
- 16:03You can find your own path and
- 16:05embrace it as it calls you. Your unique spiritual awakening is waiting.
- 16:10All right, Gary, thank you for giving me the space for that piece.
- 16:15You're very welcome Elaine And Elaine thank you so very much That was really really good because uh.
