- 1:04Speaker 3: went on a whist. So, yeah, it's too bad, But
- 1:07Speaker 3: what did you expect?
- 1:08Speaker 2: It's a podcast called twenty five Wist.
- 1:11Speaker 1: So.
- 1:14Speaker 3: Everybody walking to the show, blow it all? Right, we're in.
- 1:17Speaker 1: I saw that Josh Allen and Hailey Steifel had their kid. Hmm,
- 1:22Speaker 1: you don't care.
- 1:23Speaker 3: I didn't even know that she was pregnant. Really never. No,
- 1:27Speaker 3: I feel like they just got married. Didn't they just
- 1:29Speaker 3: get married like last year.
- 1:30Speaker 1: I'm starting to not count on you as know anything anymore.
- 1:33Speaker 4: Oh, man, I feel like she would just announced she
- 1:35Speaker 4: was pregnant.
- 1:36Speaker 5: Look, so I feel like when when you're the one
- 1:38Speaker 5: that's not going through the pregnancy, obviously we're not going
- 1:40Speaker 5: through it, but our wives, I feel like it goes
- 1:43Speaker 5: so much faster.
- 1:44Speaker 3: Man, I think we're all going through it. I think
- 1:46Speaker 3: we're both going through the pregnancy husbands and wives.
- 1:49Speaker 5: Well we are, but I'm saying, like somebody else, Now,
- 1:52Speaker 5: my wife went through way more than I did.
- 1:55Speaker 1: Oh, you're saying like you're saying you went through equally.
- 1:57Speaker 3: I mean, we're I hate it when people say we're pregnant.
- 2:00Speaker 3: I don't like that. But in a way, you're both
- 2:03Speaker 3: having the baby, so you're both pregnant.
- 2:05Speaker 1: No, I'm gonna disagree. Your life change is a bit.
- 2:10Speaker 1: But as the dude, you physically don't have to deal
- 2:12Speaker 1: with not being able to sleep, being uncomfortable. Yeah, you
- 2:14Speaker 1: physically no, Okay, all.
- 2:16Speaker 5: Right, yeah, especially after the baby comes, you're like, oh, wow,
- 2:20Speaker 5: that's I'm cool.
- 2:21Speaker 4: I'm gonna walk, I can do it all. Give me
- 2:24Speaker 4: the baby and there my.
- 2:25Speaker 1: Body is exactly as it was the day before.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 2:28Speaker 4: I can go work out the next day if I
- 2:29Speaker 4: want to.
- 2:30Speaker 3: It's crazy you think it's equal. Yeah. I mean it's
- 2:32Speaker 3: been a bit since I've gone through that. It's been
- 2:35Speaker 3: nine years, No, no, nine years, twelve years since I've
- 2:37Speaker 3: been through that.
- 2:38Speaker 1: I would think in fifty years, I'm still gonna think.
- 2:39Speaker 3: It's not equal. Yeah, dude, Okay, but you both have
- 2:43Speaker 3: the baby. She had the baby. We now have a child. Yes, okay,
- 2:48Speaker 3: that makes sense.
- 2:49Speaker 1: Josh Allen and Hailey Steinfeld are the parents of a
- 2:52Speaker 1: baby girl. They announced in her newsletter I guess I
- 2:56Speaker 1: don't subscribe to that Wow that their daughter has been born,
- 2:59Speaker 1: with sharing any further specifics on the date or the
- 3:02Speaker 1: baby's name, We're feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savoring
- 3:05Speaker 1: these early moments. Hey, let me ask you guys a question.
- 3:08Speaker 3: So had a baby a.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Few weeks ago, and I'm not starting a new podcast.
- 3:12Speaker 1: I can't. I don't have the capacity to start a
- 3:13Speaker 1: new podcast, but definitely a segment and occasionally I'm doing
- 3:20Speaker 1: on YouTube a new show kind of And I had
- 3:24Speaker 1: two names that I came up with, and I'm curious
- 3:26Speaker 1: to know which name you guys like the best. Already
- 3:29Speaker 1: I've already come to the conclusion of what I'm using,
- 3:31Speaker 1: so we.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Don't matter in this.
- 3:32Speaker 1: But it didn't matter, but I'm just curious to what
- 3:34Speaker 1: you think. I had two names because the thing is,
- 3:36Speaker 1: so many people are asking questions all the time about
- 3:39Speaker 1: the baby. And then I have artists going, hey, I
- 3:41Speaker 1: want to come home and talk about, you know, being
- 3:43Speaker 1: a dad, And I'm like, I don't have time for
- 3:45Speaker 1: a podcast, but occasionally maybe I do an interview week
- 3:48Speaker 1: cut a part of it out. The two options I
- 3:49Speaker 1: had were number one, talk daddy to me nice I
- 3:55Speaker 1: love that. Yeah, dude, I love it. No dude to
- 3:59Speaker 1: say that he's using that. I searched it. The only
- 4:02Speaker 1: thing that we found was like a name of an
- 4:05Speaker 1: episode for boy Meets World.
- 4:09Speaker 3: That was the other one.
- 4:11Speaker 1: No, nobody's using it. There was no podcast called that.
- 4:14Speaker 3: That is so good. I don't even want to hear
- 4:16Speaker 3: the second one.
- 4:16Speaker 1: The next one is father Knows So there's a saying
- 4:19Speaker 1: called father knows Best.
- 4:21Speaker 3: Yeah, so with me, it was father knows Less.
- 4:23Speaker 4: Oh that's good, dude.
- 4:25Speaker 3: Because you guys are talking about fatherhood and just parents,
- 4:27Speaker 3: so father knows Less.
- 4:28Speaker 1: It's also a television show, which I don't think a
- 4:30Speaker 1: lot of people know, but father Knows Best with the
- 4:31Speaker 1: television show back in the day Black and White used
- 4:33Speaker 1: to watch it on nickd Night. That's how I knew
- 4:36Speaker 1: about the saying father knows best. Okay, so but it's
- 4:39Speaker 1: called father Knows Less, or it's called talk Daddy to me, talk.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Down.
- 4:46Speaker 4: They're both really good.
- 4:47Speaker 5: But yeah, that talked Daddy, Like, if I were to
- 4:49Speaker 5: see that somewhere, I'm like, I need to check that out.
- 4:51Speaker 1: I'm so happy that you guys picked that one because
- 4:53Speaker 1: that is not the one I picked.
- 4:55Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm so happy.
- 4:57Speaker 1: Yeah, that one just felt like a little too like sexual,
- 5:00Speaker 1: well like yeah, yeah, huh, you know your style, or
- 5:04Speaker 1: because daddy Daddy like talk daddy to me. He's also
- 5:07Speaker 1: talk dirty to me, but also Daddy and not only
- 5:10Speaker 1: that father knows less. Is me admitting I know very
- 5:13Speaker 1: little about it, and so people aren't thinking I'm an expert. Okay,
- 5:17Speaker 1: I'm glad you guys picked Talk Daddy to me. But
- 5:18Speaker 1: makes me feel like I'm in the right place.
- 5:19Speaker 4: Make you feel better.
- 5:20Speaker 3: When we're betting and Eddie picked the.
- 5:21Speaker 1: Team and I didn't pick that team and picked the
- 5:22Speaker 1: other team, I'm like, oh, I'm in the right place
- 5:24Speaker 1: for this.
- 5:24Speaker 3: You know when you do that, I drive home sad, right,
- 5:27Speaker 3: you know that? Like when you say stuff like that,
- 5:30Speaker 3: I'm just like, why does he say stuff like that?
- 5:31Speaker 3: Like basically everything I decide is wrong? Like I have
- 5:36Speaker 3: those moments in my.
- 5:37Speaker 1: Car, everything not true a lot like the best one.
- 5:41Speaker 1: I'm just like, really, like every time I pick a tea,
- 5:44Speaker 1: do you feel like his instincts are pretty bad?
- 5:46Speaker 5: Yeah, they're can general generally speaking, I feel like the
- 5:48Speaker 5: stats I don't have them in front of us, but
- 5:50Speaker 5: they back it up.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Yeah, So that's I was really hoping you guys picked
- 5:54Speaker 1: Talk Daddy to me as like two dudes like dude.
- 5:56Speaker 4: Now, well, now I'm like, dang, I'm stuck with Eddie.
- 5:58Speaker 4: Over here.
- 5:59Speaker 3: Now You're like me, Now you're right home.
- 6:01Speaker 1: Good luck today, I'm gonna be driving home today, Like, oh,
- 6:05Speaker 1: I thought you that you were driving home. So how's
- 6:09Speaker 1: your baby influencing going?
- 6:11Speaker 5: Yeah, it's on pause. It's been pause for a little while. Man,
- 6:15Speaker 5: it's just you guys know the social media game. It's
- 6:18Speaker 5: a lot to keep up with. And Bobby does a
- 6:20Speaker 5: great job of it, and I commend him for it,
- 6:22Speaker 5: but you got to be so consistent all the time
- 6:25Speaker 5: and every day and we're so busy as it is
- 6:27Speaker 5: with work, and I'm like, I just it's hard to
- 6:31Speaker 5: keep up with it non stop, especially with no income
- 6:34Speaker 5: coming in. I know you got to start somewhere to
- 6:35Speaker 5: get there, but that doesn't help you.
- 6:37Speaker 3: Are the ideas still there? Like do you still have
- 6:39Speaker 3: the ideas coming in?
- 6:40Speaker 5: Yeah, all the time, especially because we just had their
- 6:42Speaker 5: first plane ride, so I was like, oh, I could
- 6:43Speaker 5: do another one, but like it's been like four months,
- 6:45Speaker 5: probably like.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Doing another one.
- 6:48Speaker 5: Like a where I give advice, I'm like, how to
- 6:51Speaker 5: make your life easier as a parent, new parent traveling
- 6:54Speaker 5: for the first time with your baby, Like for us,
- 6:56Speaker 5: the number one thing we brought a car seat. We
- 6:58Speaker 5: had you have to wring a car seat because about
- 7:00Speaker 5: three chairs. Since we have two babies, and having that
- 7:03Speaker 5: car seat was huge because they have to sleep in
- 7:04Speaker 5: the car seat. They got to play in the car seat,
- 7:06Speaker 5: so you didn't have to really hold on the entire flight.
- 7:08Speaker 5: And it was a long flight for our flight, so
- 7:11Speaker 5: that was huge. And you could put these little spinning
- 7:13Speaker 5: things on the windows like occupy them. So that's just
- 7:17Speaker 5: an example of like something that made our life easier
- 7:19Speaker 5: as first time flyers as parents.
- 7:21Speaker 3: That sounds like a good segment. Father knows less. Well,
- 7:23Speaker 3: you gotta think about that.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Yeah, pay, I can pay twenty bucks and then you
- 7:26Speaker 1: make a little money off that story.
- 7:27Speaker 4: Let's do it.
- 7:28Speaker 1: So you took a car seat on the plane, huh yeah? Yeah,
- 7:31Speaker 1: and it was is it there? They're a two seater,
- 7:35Speaker 1: just a one you have two kids?
- 7:37Speaker 5: Yeah, But so legally, since you have two, you can
- 7:39Speaker 5: buy you have to buy three seats because of the
- 7:42Speaker 5: oxygen mask. And then you have you can have one
- 7:44Speaker 5: lap child, but you can't have two. So what if
- 7:47Speaker 5: you each have one lap child, you can't have two
- 7:49Speaker 5: in the same row.
- 7:50Speaker 3: Got it?
- 7:51Speaker 5: Two lap childs in the same row because there's only
- 7:53Speaker 5: a certain amount of oxygen masks and enough, you know
- 7:55Speaker 5: what I mean. So if somebody else was sitting in
- 7:57Speaker 5: the window seat, like a random person, and then it's
- 8:00Speaker 5: two in the seats and two a lot of childs,
- 8:01Speaker 5: there's not enough mass to go around. So legally you
- 8:04Speaker 5: have to have that third seat and you have to
- 8:06Speaker 5: have a car seat with them.
- 8:08Speaker 4: But we were like, damn, have you guys ever seen
- 8:10Speaker 4: a car seat on a plane? Think about it?
- 8:11Speaker 6: And never?
- 8:12Speaker 3: Never?
- 8:12Speaker 1: Right, That's what I thought, or maybe I've just never noticed,
- 8:15Speaker 1: but I don't think I've ever seen a car seat
- 8:17Speaker 1: on a plane.
- 8:17Speaker 4: Same when they said that, I was like, what, Like,
- 8:19Speaker 4: I've never seen one? What do you mean? We have to?
- 8:21Speaker 4: But thank god we had to because it was such
- 8:23Speaker 4: a lifesaver.
- 8:24Speaker 3: You know. There's one thing that I never thought of
- 8:27Speaker 3: was ubering, you know, and if you have a child
- 8:30Speaker 3: that you're gonna uber with, you got to have the
- 8:32Speaker 3: car seats because ubers don't have car seats in them.
- 8:35Speaker 3: So I remember a situation where we were going to
- 8:37Speaker 3: a concert or an event like it's like a circus
- 8:40Speaker 3: or something at Bridgestone, and we're like, well, okay, we'll
- 8:42Speaker 3: take the car seat for the uber, but what are
- 8:44Speaker 3: we gonna do with the car seat when we get
- 8:45Speaker 3: to the event.
- 8:47Speaker 1: The whole time?
- 8:48Speaker 3: You could do that, I would think so No, But
- 8:51Speaker 3: the cool thing is when you get to Bridgestone or
- 8:53Speaker 3: an a venue like that, you can actually check in strollers,
- 8:56Speaker 3: car seats and they hold it for you for the show,
- 8:59Speaker 3: and then when you're done, you just give them the
- 9:01Speaker 3: ticket and you get it right back. So that was
- 9:03Speaker 3: kind of cool stuff you don't think about. Like Ubers,
- 9:05Speaker 3: we'd rop the baby in. They're just like, you can't
- 9:07Speaker 3: bring the baby in. There's no car seat here unless
- 9:09Speaker 3: you have a car seat, and we're like, woo, didn't
- 9:10Speaker 3: know that.
- 9:11Speaker 1: I think we wouldn't know that, and I would be
- 9:15Speaker 1: stuck carrying the car seat the whole time. My wife
- 9:16Speaker 1: would carry the baby until she got tired and we'd switch.
- 9:19Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I didn't know. You could check it out.
- 9:20Speaker 5: See this is a segment for Father's Knows Less Episode one,
- 9:23Speaker 5: happening right now.
- 9:24Speaker 3: Maybe or talk Daddy, Daddy.
- 9:26Speaker 1: You two can have that one that uneels pervy.
- 9:28Speaker 3: The more I say it, the more the pervy.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Or that one feels like a song to talk daddy
- 9:35Speaker 1: to me. I don't know I thought I was always
- 9:37Speaker 1: talk dirty to me.
- 9:38Speaker 3: No, no, it is. It is talk dirty, but the
- 9:40Speaker 3: song is talk dirty to me? Right? Who is that poison? Yeah,
- 9:43Speaker 3: but it's not talk daddy, I know, but you can
- 9:45Speaker 3: do a generic version for the intro and I'm not
- 9:47Speaker 3: doing talk dad.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Yeah, you too, get have your own size YouTube talking
- 9:53Speaker 1: to each other, no microphone.
- 9:55Speaker 3: We do it all the time anyways.
- 9:56Speaker 1: Right, So you've quit on baby influencing.
- 9:59Speaker 5: Yeah, whole other aspect too is and I share my babies,
- 10:03Speaker 5: the names, the faces, but I've also like there's just
- 10:07Speaker 5: a fine line that I struggle with, like how much
- 10:09Speaker 5: do you share them? How much do you want to
- 10:10Speaker 5: share them? I know you guys don't share their faces
- 10:12Speaker 5: and all that. Everyone's different, but that's where I struggle
- 10:16Speaker 5: with too. So I'm like, do I want to put
- 10:17Speaker 5: my babies faces on there or not? And then I
- 10:22Speaker 5: debate that all the time, like how much how little?
- 10:24Speaker 1: There's a guy that kills it as a dad influencer,
- 10:26Speaker 1: never puts his kids on. I get offered money constantly
- 10:29Speaker 1: from baby companies and I've not done any real content
- 10:31Speaker 1: except I push a stroller thro and write something on there.
- 10:33Speaker 1: But I've not been paid for anything. And I get
- 10:35Speaker 1: people baby companies all the time coming in and going, hey,
- 10:38Speaker 1: will you do you know.
- 10:39Speaker 3: This stroller or this model or this and something. I'm
- 10:42Speaker 3: not going to do it? Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.
- 10:45Speaker 5: You say you say, I have a couple other guys.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Yeah, Wow, that's crazy you turn those down. Man, I
- 10:55Speaker 3: got one of those. I'd be like, yes, what do
- 10:57Speaker 3: you want me to do? I just don't.
- 10:59Speaker 1: I don't want want to be hawking something that I
- 11:02Speaker 1: really don't use or don't believe in, and it's not
- 11:06Speaker 1: like life changing money.
- 11:07Speaker 3: I get that. Yeah, you're in a different boat for you.
- 11:11Speaker 3: For you.
- 11:11Speaker 1: If I did a lot of them and that was
- 11:13Speaker 1: constantly my job and shout out to influencers, we can
- 11:16Speaker 1: make this a constant job. I think I would do that.
- 11:19Speaker 1: But I do very little social media influencing. I mean
- 11:24Speaker 1: maybe one a year, and it's usually something that I'm
- 11:27Speaker 1: already involved in in another way.
- 11:28Speaker 3: But yeah, no, I get paid.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I get offer like five grand to do a will
- 11:33Speaker 1: you do bottles and two posts.
- 11:37Speaker 5: I'm already thinking, like, our kids are growing up of
- 11:39Speaker 5: the first car seats already, and I'm like, you got
- 11:40Speaker 5: any car seat company's coming.
- 11:42Speaker 3: Over to you over.
- 11:43Speaker 1: No, I had a stroller company, but I don't use
- 11:45Speaker 1: that stroller. I'm rolling across the screen and the stroller
- 11:47Speaker 1: that we paid for. We've not gotten anything for free.
- 11:49Speaker 1: And they're like, hey, what about our stroller, and like,
- 11:51Speaker 1: I don't know if your thing is even any good?
- 11:53Speaker 1: But no, I've not said yes to any of that. So, Kevin,
- 11:55Speaker 1: what do you think will I might eventually, but no.
- 11:58Speaker 3: What do you think about Bobby's posts? You like that
- 12:00Speaker 3: as an influencer yourself? Do you like what Bobby's doing.
- 12:02Speaker 4: Like with the baby content? Of course?
- 12:05Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 12:05Speaker 1: Baby content is always so good, dude, he gets millions
- 12:09Speaker 1: of views. Yeah, and I do nothing stroller across the strain.
- 12:11Speaker 5: I feel like dogs and babies, Like you can never
- 12:13Speaker 5: go wrong with dogs and babies when it comes to content.
- 12:15Speaker 5: Like if somebody hates dog and baby content, like you
- 12:17Speaker 5: probably don't.
- 12:18Speaker 3: Like that's true. You know, have you seen the video
- 12:20Speaker 3: where there's a lady who's beaten some eggs in a
- 12:23Speaker 3: bowl and the little her baby's like watching her do it,
- 12:26Speaker 3: and then she cracks the egg on the baby's head.
- 12:28Speaker 1: Oh yeah, so that's a trend. But they did for
- 12:32Speaker 1: a long time you were the cheese.
- 12:33Speaker 3: Yeah, the cheese. They would throw it and slap it
- 12:35Speaker 3: on the baby's head.
- 12:37Speaker 4: Yeah, what would your wife say?
- 12:39Speaker 1: They would never let me do that ever, Eddie. How
- 12:42Speaker 1: many teams can you name any women's Final four?
- 12:47Speaker 3: Why would you do that to me?
- 12:49Speaker 2: Uh?
- 12:50Speaker 3: Maybe two? Okay, go ahead, Vanderbilt, No, okay, I get
- 12:56Speaker 3: three strikes right? Texas? Yeah, number one? See Texas. I
- 13:02Speaker 3: know the LSU they're out is is Yukon, number one seed.
- 13:08Speaker 3: Yukon is in. Thank goodness, Okay, I said three. I
- 13:11Speaker 3: think you said two, but okay, good so I made it. Uh.
- 13:14Speaker 1: The other team has probably it's probably the most winning
- 13:16Speaker 1: team in the past decade.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Really, women's women's Oh, South Carolina.
- 13:21Speaker 1: Correct one seats South Carolina? Yeah yeah, yeah, yeah yeah,
- 13:24Speaker 1: you probably won't get the fourth one.
- 13:25Speaker 3: There are one seeds, so they are all one seats
- 13:27Speaker 3: in there.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Women's basketball is like that really, like the winning teams
- 13:32Speaker 1: do all the winning and nobody has a chance when
- 13:35Speaker 1: they play them.
- 13:35Speaker 4: No, they went by like thirty Yeah every game.
- 13:37Speaker 1: So the number one South Carolina versus Number one Yukon.
- 13:41Speaker 1: Both Yukons are in the final four. That's pretty cool.
- 13:44Speaker 1: Men and women and number one Texas against number one
- 13:48Speaker 1: U c l A okay, yeah, uh and men's which Saturday.
- 13:54Speaker 3: You can name those four, right, let me see, yeah, Illinois, uh, Islan,
- 14:00Speaker 3: Yukon and then Michigan's playing Arizona.
- 14:03Speaker 1: At least a men's tournament, it's two ones, a two
- 14:06Speaker 1: and a three.
- 14:06Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 14:08Speaker 1: Still the halves are the ones that are rising up.
- 14:10Speaker 1: But man and the women it's all ones, yeah, and
- 14:12Speaker 1: an occasional two.
- 14:13Speaker 3: And I mean it was almost another one with Duke.
- 14:15Speaker 3: I mean that was a crazy game.
- 14:18Speaker 1: What do you mean almost another one?
- 14:20Speaker 3: That was just such a close game. The Yukon comes
- 14:22Speaker 3: from a nineteen point deficit, like.
- 14:23Speaker 1: It was almost like it wasn't supposed to saying that
- 14:25Speaker 1: in the men's tournament, you don't have to be a one, yeah,
- 14:28Speaker 1: like it rarely is it all four number one?
- 14:31Speaker 3: Right?
- 14:31Speaker 1: And the women just mostly all four number ones?
- 14:33Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 14:33Speaker 5: And I saw I saw the other day that Yukon's
- 14:35Speaker 5: on another just crazy streak. Remember when they used to
- 14:37Speaker 5: have these like all the time, like winning streaks. Yeah,
- 14:40Speaker 5: they won fifty four to row. No what yeah, And
- 14:45Speaker 5: so I said, it's going back from last year thirty's
- 14:47Speaker 5: that can't because they were undefeated. They were undefeated. Maybe
- 14:50Speaker 5: conference get tournament games.
- 14:52Speaker 1: They can't be tournam They didn't win the tournament last
- 14:53Speaker 1: year when they won fifty eight what.
- 14:56Speaker 5: As an active fifty four game winning streak spanning from
- 14:59Speaker 5: the end the twenty twenty four and twenty five season.
- 15:01Speaker 4: Through Yukon's not undefeated women's.
- 15:05Speaker 3: Oh wow, our sexiest brain wen't even hear No, he
- 15:12Speaker 3: didn't clarify. He might have, but we didn't hear it.
- 15:15Speaker 4: You guys are just thinking about the men.
- 15:17Speaker 3: Our sexist brains were harder work.
- 15:19Speaker 4: I tried to set it up with member Yukon's women's used.
- 15:21Speaker 5: I don't even know if I probably didn't say women's
- 15:23Speaker 5: usually go on all these winning streaks back in the day, with.
- 15:26Speaker 3: Five years in a row, they're that dominant.
- 15:28Speaker 1: Again. How many Yukon women's basketball players can you name?
- 15:31Speaker 1: I'll go first, Rebecca Loboh all time, all time.
- 15:34Speaker 4: Yeah, Diana Tarrossi.
- 15:38Speaker 3: You can do, go ahead, yeah, yeah, yeah, it's the
- 15:41Speaker 3: blondhaired girl, Sabrina Sabrina. I think she played it at
- 15:45Speaker 3: West Coast Carpenter. Sabrina, Uh, what's her?
- 15:48Speaker 1: Is?
- 15:49Speaker 3: Osco?
- 15:49Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 15:49Speaker 1: Osco? That one I don't think this. I'm almost positive
- 15:53Speaker 1: she played it.
- 15:53Speaker 3: I feel like, yeah, okay, thinking of another one blonde
- 15:57Speaker 3: girl with tonytail. That's every blonde all that please thinking
- 16:02Speaker 3: about I can go another one? Yeah?
- 16:05Speaker 4: I got one worry of me?
- 16:06Speaker 3: Do you have page backers?
- 16:12Speaker 4: He didn't say, Brianna Stewart.

- 17:46Speaker 1: You guys got any money on the games?
- 17:48Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 17:49Speaker 4: No, dude, I haven't made one bet all the entire thing.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Good for you?
- 17:52Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 17:53Speaker 3: Why? For what reason? No reason?
- 17:54Speaker 5: Honestly, I just like been so busy and then I
- 17:56Speaker 5: just sit down and watch the game and I don't
- 17:58Speaker 5: even think about it.
- 17:59Speaker 3: This is the first year in like probably ten years
- 18:02Speaker 3: where I've made money off the tournament.
- 18:04Speaker 1: Okay, here we go. I'm serious because earlier we said
- 18:07Speaker 1: when you bet something, we want to be on the
- 18:09Speaker 1: other side of it.
- 18:10Speaker 3: That's why I'm saying that I need to see your status.
- 18:12Speaker 3: You guys are pull your draftings status. What do you want?
- 18:15Speaker 1: He hasn't shared any of his bets with us, but
- 18:17Speaker 1: that's true, you know, and I'll throw mine out there.
- 18:19Speaker 1: I'll put mine in the group text like, guys, this
- 18:21Speaker 1: is what I'm doing.
- 18:22Speaker 3: You jump if you want. Yeah, I'm not doing that now.
- 18:25Speaker 3: Status now is the point where it's like I couldn't
- 18:27Speaker 3: tell you who's going to win any of these games,
- 18:30Speaker 3: but what do you want here? Take over my account?
- 18:33Speaker 4: Correct?
- 18:34Speaker 3: Okay, let's see if I go to Eddie's. Come on,
- 18:41Speaker 3: let's go my stat sheet. Okay, I should. Let's do
- 18:50Speaker 3: the month the month last month, yeah, because that's you
- 18:53Speaker 3: wagered nine hundred. God when you put it that way, your.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Total winnings were eight eighty.
- 19:02Speaker 3: Twenty.
- 19:02Speaker 1: Bus this money you got this month you got nothing in.
- 19:05Speaker 3: So you lied April. I haven't bet bet yet.
- 19:08Speaker 1: Yeah, but last month, you know, dude, you weren't winning well. Okay,
- 19:11Speaker 1: this year, let's do this year with that because a little.
- 19:14Speaker 3: This year is not good. Oh uh.
- 19:16Speaker 1: Total wager two thousand, three hundred ninety five dollars one
- 19:21Speaker 1: two forty six dollars. That's close minus three forty. Now
- 19:25Speaker 1: where's you're winning you're talking about? No, no, no, I'm
- 19:27Speaker 1: telling you I've been winning.
- 19:28Speaker 3: I think some of these losses or other sports like
- 19:30Speaker 3: I'll do NASCAR, didn't win on that, but basketball, I've
- 19:33Speaker 3: been hitting them. Baby. You want all time? No no, no, no, dude,
- 19:37Speaker 3: you'll ruin my day. Give give that back. You're not
- 19:42Speaker 3: doing a hit all time.
- 19:44Speaker 5: No, no no.
- 19:45Speaker 3: My wife will listen to this and you will never listen. Well,
- 19:48Speaker 3: people send her stuff, Okay, if that's true, If Bobby's
- 19:52Speaker 3: gonna say it, don't send her anything, guys.
- 19:53Speaker 1: I don't have to because it's between us. If that's true,
- 19:55Speaker 1: I won't say it. If she hears that number.
- 19:59Speaker 4: Did she ever find not about skins?
- 20:01Speaker 3: Nope? Nope. But then so she doesn't listen, Yeah, she's
- 20:05Speaker 3: I don't. I don't know how she didn't find out,
- 20:07Speaker 3: So then I will read it. It's bad.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Rate, the badness. I don't know what What is your scale?
- 20:13Speaker 1: If you've lost over one thousand dollars that's that's pretty
- 20:18Speaker 1: bad all time.
- 20:19Speaker 4: How far are we going back?
- 20:20Speaker 1: Yeah? What to?
- 20:20Speaker 3: When did I start drafting? I don't have your tibiography here, bro,
- 20:24Speaker 3: I'll have it in my portfolio. What did my problem begin? Okay,
- 20:27Speaker 3: let's see. I would guess that I started probably five
- 20:29Speaker 3: years ago. Okay, And what do you think you lose
- 20:32Speaker 3: a year? I probably lose a year. It was fifty
- 20:35Speaker 3: dollars a month, so six hundred bucks would be that number. Yeah,
- 20:41Speaker 3: and then I would sometimes I would do more, like
- 20:43Speaker 3: on my birthday, would do one hundred. I would say
- 20:47Speaker 3: I probably at fifteen hundred a year. Wow. So if
- 20:50Speaker 3: you lose fifteen hundred a year, that's that's a terrible.
- 20:53Speaker 3: It's terrible.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Do you want to know your your number? Maybe you
- 20:57Speaker 1: have lost all time four thousand, eight hundred and seventy
- 21:02Speaker 1: four dollars.
- 21:03Speaker 3: Oh that's not bad. Okay, Okay, that's better one. That's
- 21:05Speaker 3: better than I thought. That makes me feel better.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Yeah, I think you've got that much entertainment out of
- 21:11Speaker 1: it over there, because that's what this is, right totally.
- 21:13Speaker 1: We're not trying to bet to might make we would
- 21:15Speaker 1: like to make money yet, sure, but our betting is
- 21:17Speaker 1: entertainment purpose.
- 21:18Speaker 3: And my excuse to my wife always was just like,
- 21:21Speaker 3: you know, I've kind of watched a lot of these
- 21:23Speaker 3: games for our podcast. I got to know what's going on,
- 21:25Speaker 3: so it helps for me to bet a little bit
- 21:27Speaker 3: on it, and then I get a little interest and
- 21:29Speaker 3: I watch all these games.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Yeah, you're eight hundred seventy four dollars and forty one
- 21:32Speaker 1: cents net total down.
- 21:34Speaker 3: So it's a five thousand dollars.
- 21:35Speaker 1: But last year you had a bad year, dude, last
- 21:37Speaker 1: year you lost twenty one hundred. Half of that was
- 21:38Speaker 1: last year.
- 21:39Speaker 3: I think we all did right, It wasn't last year.
- 21:41Speaker 4: Bathroom in the same category.
- 21:42Speaker 3: Hey, we're not trying to jump into your boat. Did
- 21:44Speaker 3: you have a bad year last year? I've had bad years. Yeah,
- 21:46Speaker 3: last year is probably a bad.
- 21:47Speaker 1: Year for me.
- 21:48Speaker 3: All right, that's better than I thought.
- 21:50Speaker 4: Yeah, nice too. So you can drive a home mappy today.
- 21:52Speaker 3: Yes, and then my Calcutta I have Illinois who I
- 21:56Speaker 3: bought for ninety dollars, so I'm still you're up. I'm
- 21:58Speaker 3: rocking and rolling. Yeah, they could win. I don't think
- 22:01Speaker 3: they will, but they could win. I did get a
- 22:03Speaker 3: deal on offer. Our buddy Steve has Yukon, and he
- 22:08Speaker 3: hit me up and was like, Hey, let's just make
- 22:11Speaker 3: a deal where like we just split the money. Well,
- 22:13Speaker 3: the difference is one of you then plays the championship game. Well,
- 22:15Speaker 3: we don't get the money on that one. Just on
- 22:17Speaker 3: this game we get the money.
- 22:18Speaker 1: But then you have to do the math that subtract
- 22:20Speaker 1: what I want to do that it's too confused.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Plus I feel like I have the upper hand with Illinois.
- 22:25Speaker 3: Good for you, I wouldn't.
- 22:26Speaker 1: But I don't think it's crazy close. I mean I
- 22:27Speaker 1: don't think it's far. I think Illinois played out of
- 22:30Speaker 1: their minds.
- 22:30Speaker 3: Illinois, I think is a one point favorite. Now does
- 22:34Speaker 3: that have to do because they're closer to Indianapolis.
- 22:39Speaker 1: That it would affect a home game not being the
- 22:41Speaker 1: same state, but like the neighboring state.
- 22:43Speaker 5: Now, especially Yukon's fan base, I mean basketball wise, they're
- 22:46Speaker 5: pretty widespread.
- 22:47Speaker 3: Because what was that game? Is it Michigan or something?
- 22:49Speaker 3: I mean, it was all Michigan fans there.
- 22:52Speaker 1: Do you guys think Tiger Woods was kind of laying
- 22:53Speaker 1: when he goes I just talked to the president for sure.
- 22:56Speaker 1: This dude, he's a bad dude anyway. Yeah, But now
- 23:00Speaker 1: he's like bad dude when he's over and over again
- 23:03Speaker 1: putting other people's lives in danger. If he still played
- 23:06Speaker 1: Sunday Next Sunday at the Master, Let's go Tiger, would.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Be like, we're in it for Tig. He's m we're
- 23:13Speaker 3: all wearing red like Tiger. What's a bad dude?
- 23:17Speaker 4: Yeah, at this point, it's like you can't. How do
- 23:19Speaker 4: you stick up for him? But to your point, I
- 23:21Speaker 4: would root for him.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Who sticks up for him personally, like fans, not not
- 23:25Speaker 3: people that know him. I get that, Like you know him,
- 23:27Speaker 3: he's a friend of yours. I get that, But like fans,
- 23:29Speaker 3: who sticks up for him personally? Nobody? Nobody does. Nobody
- 23:33Speaker 3: knows him though, right, So yeah, but there are lovable
- 23:36Speaker 3: celebrities where like they do something wrong, Like I don't know,
- 23:39Speaker 3: I love that.
- 23:39Speaker 1: I think he's had so many things happen that nobody
- 23:43Speaker 1: sticks up for him personally. And then so I was
- 23:45Speaker 1: just talking to calling the president when you see in
- 23:47Speaker 1: the body cam.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Come on dude, Yeah, Like okay, is that like Morgan
- 23:52Speaker 3: wall and calling Chief Church Church? Hey man, I'm at
- 23:57Speaker 3: your bar. They're trying to arrest me.
- 23:59Speaker 4: But the president is a whole level level.
- 24:01Speaker 3: But he's also dating the president's whatever.
- 24:05Speaker 1: No, he's dating the president's son's former wife ex wife.
- 24:11Speaker 3: Is that right, Yes, the former wife.
- 24:12Speaker 1: Yeah, he's dating on Eric's ex wife. Okay, but he's
- 24:16Speaker 1: dating him. Oh so she's a Trump by name, yes,
- 24:19Speaker 1: but got it. Her daughter is the president's granddaughter. Yes,
- 24:23Speaker 1: so he's dating the president's the granddaughter's mom.
- 24:30Speaker 3: Yes. What's up with the hiccups too? In the car?
- 24:34Speaker 6: Like he had never.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Yeah, when I'm drinking, he wasn't drinking. He wasn't drinking,
- 24:41Speaker 3: I know, but he's got some other stuff in the system.
- 24:43Speaker 4: Who knows.
- 24:44Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 24:44Speaker 3: Does a pill give me hiccups?
- 24:45Speaker 1: I don't.
- 24:46Speaker 3: I'm not that I know. My my zertec doesn't give
- 24:48Speaker 3: me hiccubs. It's a good point, mind doesn't either.
- 24:50Speaker 1: Although I stay super dry with the allergy stuff because
- 24:53Speaker 1: I'd shoot medicine up my nose, the prescription allergy medicine. Man,
- 24:59Speaker 1: But what's the is it drives me out a little bit,
- 25:01Speaker 1: and then I just it just tastes bad in my
- 25:03Speaker 1: throat all day long, that drip. Yeah, it's like almost
- 25:05Speaker 1: I don'd rather just have allergies. But I went and
- 25:08Speaker 1: got allergies shots so bad with twelve year olds, for
- 25:11Speaker 1: with twelve years because mostly it's kids.
- 25:13Speaker 3: Yeah, I.
- 25:16Speaker 1: Did an episode dy to me at that allergy place.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Hey are you sitting that in that waiting room with
- 25:21Speaker 1: all the other kids. It's me and a ton of
- 25:23Speaker 1: kids in their parents, And so my allergyes were so bad.
- 25:26Speaker 1: My doctor was like, you need to have something like,
- 25:29Speaker 1: let me send you to the allergist. And so I
- 25:31Speaker 1: go to the allergists. They do the test on me.
- 25:33Speaker 1: She's like, you have so many things that you're allergic to.
- 25:35Speaker 1: So what I would recommend is to come into for
- 25:37Speaker 1: shots every week. And so it was like a two
- 25:39Speaker 1: year deal. I went about a year and then I
- 25:42Speaker 1: just stopped going. I think I was like on a
- 25:44Speaker 1: vacation and a work trip and I missed like four
- 25:45Speaker 1: in a row, and I was like, I'm not going back.
- 25:47Speaker 1: But I'm convinced that going for at least a year
- 25:49Speaker 1: has helped me tremendously. Really, man, I want to jinx it.
- 25:53Speaker 1: But usually once a year I lose my voice completely.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Allergies espechal where we live.
- 25:57Speaker 3: Yeah, oh yeah, they're so bad here yep.
- 25:59Speaker 1: So but I haven't done that. I tak allergy medicine.
- 26:02Speaker 1: I know it's just so bad though, now is your itch?
- 26:04Speaker 3: I feel like everything you're talking about I have it.
- 26:06Speaker 1: Like you would think. I was like, I don't even
- 26:08Speaker 1: seen cocaine, but like I mess my nose so much
- 26:10Speaker 1: it looks like you're on it too.
- 26:12Speaker 4: Have you guys speaking of cocaine? Have you seen the
- 26:13Speaker 4: lamar Odom documentary documentary?
- 26:16Speaker 3: But I want to watch?
- 26:17Speaker 4: Got to watch it?
- 26:18Speaker 3: The little teaser that they put on it, you know
- 26:19Speaker 3: when you hover over the thumbnail that gotta watch it?
- 26:23Speaker 1: Why what?
- 26:24Speaker 5: It's just wild and especially his life. Obviously we didn't
- 26:28Speaker 5: know or I didn't know about his upbringing. Lost his
- 26:31Speaker 5: mom at a young age. They getting this right in
- 26:32Speaker 5: the beginning, and his dad left when he was young,
- 26:34Speaker 5: and he was a drug addict and all that. So
- 26:35Speaker 5: he went through a lot as a child, and then
- 26:37Speaker 5: the Kardashian marriage that built around that, and he just
- 26:41Speaker 5: went down a crazy, just a wild path for.
- 26:44Speaker 3: A couple of years. Like the girl that he was
- 26:46Speaker 3: hooking up with like called, yeah, who's he doating Chloe? Yeah?
- 26:50Speaker 3: Chloe and said, look, I'm banging your boyfriend. Were they married?
- 26:55Speaker 4: No husband?
- 26:56Speaker 1: I'm banging your husband he cheated Tristan Thompson.
- 27:00Speaker 5: True, yeah, but I mean Lamar talks about how much
- 27:04Speaker 5: like cocon and freebase and some stuff just to get
- 27:06Speaker 5: around the NBA drug protocol.
- 27:09Speaker 3: It was wild. So liked it.
- 27:11Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 27:11Speaker 3: Oh did you finish it?
- 27:12Speaker 4: Yeah, I got twenty minutes left.
- 27:15Speaker 1: So when I met my wife, she was living in California,
- 27:19Speaker 1: she was finishing up grad school, and so I had
- 27:25Speaker 1: met her through my old PR person who is from Oklahoma.
- 27:28Speaker 1: You're gonna see where this goes. I'm gonna get to
- 27:30Speaker 1: lamar odom Ond late. The story's gonna connect to Lamar
- 27:32Speaker 1: odum So. At American Idol and Dancing with the Stars,
- 27:36Speaker 1: I had a PR person that specifically was on me
- 27:38Speaker 1: and a couple of other people, and she was from Oklahoma,
- 27:41Speaker 1: so I spent a lot of time with her through
- 27:42Speaker 1: multiple seasons of the show. She had a friend, it
- 27:46Speaker 1: was caitlinn who's from Oklahoma that she went to college with.
- 27:48Speaker 1: And so Caitlin was in California and she was going
- 27:50Speaker 1: to grad school and Kaylyn had already graduated from college,
- 27:52Speaker 1: went into the workforce, was doing international commodities, oil and gas,
- 27:57Speaker 1: living in Houston, and decided she wanted to get a
- 28:01Speaker 1: master so she could make more money, basically so she
- 28:02Speaker 1: could do that job remotely. So she's a California end
- 28:05Speaker 1: up meeting Caitlin through this other girl who was my
- 28:08Speaker 1: PR person, and so I'm flying back and forth and
- 28:11Speaker 1: Caitlyn and I had started dating, and I said, Hey,
- 28:13Speaker 1: I'm coming in because.
- 28:14Speaker 3: I'm going to do.
- 28:16Speaker 1: I'm going to be it Dancing with the Stars for
- 28:18Speaker 1: the first episode of this new season. It was a
- 28:21Speaker 1: season Laurence Atlanta was on and so I was going
- 28:23Speaker 1: out there to support her. I said, Hey, why don't
- 28:24Speaker 1: you go with my date? And she was like, I
- 28:27Speaker 1: don't know, sure, she didn't know we're gonna be on TV,
- 28:30Speaker 1: but they put us right in the front.
- 28:31Speaker 3: So it's me, it's Kaitlin.
- 28:34Speaker 1: We're sitting at a table and I think Emma Smith
- 28:35Speaker 1: was sitting at the table with us and somebody that
- 28:39Speaker 1: Emit was with. And then after that show there's a party.
- 28:44Speaker 1: There's the first episode party at like a restaurant, and
- 28:47Speaker 1: it's a lot of the people from that season. One
- 28:49Speaker 1: of the people from that season was lamar odom Oh.
- 28:51Speaker 1: I'm almost certain unless he was there from another season,
- 28:54Speaker 1: he was at that that party you made check can
- 28:56Speaker 1: see I lamorro Um was that season, but he was there.
- 28:59Speaker 3: And so I don't know Caitlin very well.
- 29:01Speaker 1: We've been on a couple of dates and so my
- 29:04Speaker 1: wife is very funny though, and so we're walking by
- 29:06Speaker 1: and she goes, there's That's lamar Odom and he was
- 29:08Speaker 1: sitting down in like a back stall and I was like, yeah,
- 29:12Speaker 1: and we're.
- 29:13Speaker 3: Walking by here and she goes, justice for Chloe. Did
- 29:17Speaker 3: he hear? Did he hear? It was loud?
- 29:20Speaker 1: Probably not, But I remember thinking, this, chick's funny.
- 29:23Speaker 4: That's great this especially to have like the balls to
- 29:26Speaker 4: say yeah.
- 29:28Speaker 6: Just for Chloe.
- 29:29Speaker 3: Yeah, Mike, Yeah, I was in twenty nineteen.
- 29:31Speaker 1: That was it, that the Laura Atlanta season. Yep.
- 29:34Speaker 4: Dang.
- 29:35Speaker 1: So yeah, so I've not met him, I've been near him,
- 29:39Speaker 1: but he was doing Dancing with the Star.
- 29:40Speaker 3: Yeah. You mean, I know the answer to this, But like,
- 29:42Speaker 3: how does someone decide to like, I'm just going to
- 29:45Speaker 3: do a documentary and I'm going to tell my whole story.
- 29:47Speaker 3: I have money probably by the producer come out. Yeah,
- 29:50Speaker 3: there's probably some money behind it.
- 29:51Speaker 5: Yeah, because it's a story that people will be interested in.
- 29:54Speaker 5: They even the the bed that he overdosed in.
- 29:57Speaker 4: Like it's some overdose.
- 29:59Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, yeah, really bad out in Vegas. The Bunny Rancher.
- 30:03Speaker 4: Yeah, yep, exactly out in Vegas.
- 30:04Speaker 3: And you're going hard.
- 30:05Speaker 1: If you're overdosing and you're at the Bunny Ranch, you're
- 30:08Speaker 1: drug and and prostituting.
- 30:09Speaker 4: And then the guy who owned it like turned that
- 30:11Speaker 4: bed into like now people can come like see it.
- 30:14Speaker 3: Not see it. It's weird, but they can do it
- 30:17Speaker 3: in it probably.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, what do you guys want to do
- 30:22Speaker 1: with Grand Canyon? Alright, kids, you decided I want to
- 30:26Speaker 1: go to the Lamar overdose man at the Bunny Ranch.
- 30:30Speaker 1: It's a wild dude, Dan, I don't know that I'm
- 30:34Speaker 1: interested enough to watch it for an hour and a half,
- 30:36Speaker 1: but I'm definitely interest enough to hear the stories from it.
- 30:38Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, Well when I finished it, like I said,
- 30:40Speaker 4: I got about twenty minutes.
- 30:41Speaker 5: I had to take off when I was watching it,
- 30:43Speaker 5: But I'm going to finish it, and it's yeah, it's crazy.
- 30:45Speaker 5: And then even the whole like Kardashian thing he pretty
- 30:48Speaker 5: much married or just because he wanted to be more famous.
- 30:49Speaker 3: Than he already was, did he say that. Yeah.
- 30:52Speaker 5: Yeah, He's like, I loved her, but I wanted to,
- 30:54Speaker 5: you know, get to another level. He's like, I wanted
- 30:56Speaker 5: to be an AA lister.
- 30:58Speaker 4: Yeah it worked.
- 30:59Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 31:00Speaker 1: Yeah, we're talking about him now, not because he was
- 31:01Speaker 1: a basketball player with drug problems, but he was a
- 31:03Speaker 1: basketball player with drug problems who we know mostly from
- 31:05Speaker 1: the Kardashians. Ye.
- 31:07Speaker 5: And then they had their own series, Chloe and Lamar
- 31:09Speaker 5: or something they did yeah, and she was like, I
- 31:12Speaker 5: didn't want to do it. She's like, we already doing
- 31:13Speaker 5: our family thing. I didn't want to do it, but
- 31:15Speaker 5: he wanted to do it so bad, and he got
- 31:17Speaker 5: so excited that I.
- 31:18Speaker 4: Was like, all right, let's just do it.
- 31:19Speaker 3: So she's in it too. She talked, Oh she's in
- 31:21Speaker 3: it a lot.
- 31:21Speaker 4: Yeah yeah.
- 31:22Speaker 3: And then is oh, yeah, there's a story about it, kid,
- 31:26Speaker 3: cause I know she does.
- 31:27Speaker 4: With Tristan Thompson, no, at least all that I've seen
- 31:31Speaker 4: the nom a kid. But he's got a couple of
- 31:32Speaker 4: kids with a form with a high school and he basically.
- 31:35Speaker 1: Like man, basketball players, they just cheat. It's not a
- 31:38Speaker 1: Lamar thing. It's not a Tristan Thompson thing. It's not
- 31:41Speaker 1: if you are with the Kardashian you cheat. If you're
- 31:43Speaker 1: a basketball player, for the most part, you're on the road,
- 31:46Speaker 1: you're cheating. Yeah, it's like artists, like musical artists. I
- 31:49Speaker 1: think I said fifty percent of artists. It's a bit
- 31:52Speaker 1: different because they're just weekending it where basketba players can
- 31:55Speaker 1: be on the road for a week at a time,
- 31:56Speaker 1: bounce in different cities.
- 31:57Speaker 3: What about baseball players because they kind of have the
- 31:58Speaker 3: same schedule. I don't know many baseball players because it's
- 32:03Speaker 3: got to be the schedule.
- 32:04Speaker 1: But also you're playing day games sometime baseball.
- 32:07Speaker 4: And there's so many games in baseball.
- 32:09Speaker 1: I don't pitchers, right, and they travel with the team,
- 32:12Speaker 1: but they only have one. The Wizards apologize for their
- 32:16Speaker 1: April full steint. I wish they wouldn't have apologized a week.
- 32:19Speaker 1: It was so dumb to apologize. Everybody stopped apologizing for everything.
- 32:22Speaker 3: So they did this bit.
- 32:23Speaker 1: It was a half court shot, and so just what
- 32:25Speaker 1: the video was? This guy's blindfolded. He shoots the half
- 32:27Speaker 1: court shot, missus big time. But everybody starts jumping around
- 32:30Speaker 1: and celebrating, like.
- 32:31Speaker 3: You won, and they're like, we got April Fole's joke
- 32:33Speaker 3: on for ten thousand dollars.
- 32:37Speaker 1: The thing was, even if they did the joke, that's
- 32:39Speaker 1: funny on the person. Let's say the person wasn't in
- 32:43Speaker 1: on the joke, but the person wasn't on the joke.
- 32:44Speaker 1: Even the person who shot the ball was in on
- 32:46Speaker 1: the joke.
- 32:46Speaker 3: So who are they apologizing to us? Because they got us.
- 32:49Speaker 1: We apologized for last night's April Fool's joke that left
- 32:51Speaker 1: many wondering if we had misled a fan. The skin
- 32:54Speaker 1: involving our mascot and other members of our performance team
- 32:56Speaker 1: was scripted and it tended to celebrate that day. All
- 32:58Speaker 1: participates weren't on the joke. We missed the mark.
- 33:00Speaker 3: There's no mark. You missed. It was perfect. So I
- 33:02Speaker 3: apologize for everything. So that happened. Yeah, I would get
- 33:06Speaker 3: I would get it if like they totally messed with
- 33:08Speaker 3: that person. Yeah, made him look like a full I
- 33:11Speaker 3: get that. That's it.
- 33:12Speaker 5: Didn't give him any money, And you can when you
- 33:14Speaker 5: watch the video, I mean you kind of tell he
- 33:16Speaker 5: was in on it.
- 33:17Speaker 1: It's easy to tell after you know, yes, and I
- 33:20Speaker 1: saw it before they apologize.
- 33:22Speaker 3: It's like the Yukon shot. I knew that was going in.
- 33:25Speaker 1: You have to stop No, these are too, he claims
- 33:28Speaker 1: what he knew.
- 33:30Speaker 4: No, I watched it before they apologize. I was like,
- 33:32Speaker 4: I might being on it. You watch the video, you'll know.
- 33:34Speaker 3: I watched the video.
- 33:35Speaker 1: It's not gonna be before before Now, you know I
- 33:39Speaker 1: think everybody's in on everything. Yeah, that's because so I'm
- 33:43Speaker 1: so cynical. I think everything is a bit or so.
- 33:46Speaker 1: I probably thought, oh, this is all a bit, and
- 33:48Speaker 1: they're full in the fans. It's like eighty percent of
- 33:51Speaker 1: marriage proposals that they go wrong, they're all set up.
- 33:55Speaker 1: If it's a marriage posal that goes wrong on a
- 33:56Speaker 1: jumbo trrount.
- 33:57Speaker 3: Is set up. I agree with that.
- 33:59Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah that's true.
- 34:00Speaker 3: What about that clip you sent me last night, the
- 34:03Speaker 3: jump rope guy? Can we pull that up?
- 34:06Speaker 1: So there's a guy who had a world record for
- 34:08Speaker 1: jump roping.
- 34:08Speaker 3: Have you seen this club Kevin?
- 34:09Speaker 1: No, so I said it to edit ring. Yeah, he
- 34:12Speaker 1: did two hundred and eighty eight jumps in ten seconds.
- 34:15Speaker 3: Watch this. This is fun.
- 34:25Speaker 1: It's like.
- 34:27Speaker 3: Feet are moving so fast, it looks like al you
- 34:30Speaker 3: don't believe that's real. No, it's not real. No, it's
- 34:33Speaker 3: a world record. What are you talking about? It's not real.
- 34:36Speaker 3: It's not real. There's nothing more real than that.
- 34:39Speaker 4: As soon as it stops, like his feet just reappeared.
- 34:43Speaker 3: I'll be honest. Though, you watch it twice, three times, you're.
- 34:45Speaker 5: Like, is it real?
- 34:46Speaker 3: Watch it again?
- 34:52Speaker 6: I think agree, it's real.
- 34:53Speaker 3: I don't know why you guys are going it's not real.
- 34:55Speaker 3: You guys are joking. You are joking. Have you learned
- 34:58Speaker 3: that it's a I, because this is real to me? No,
- 35:01Speaker 3: I've learned that people don't say that it's AI when
- 35:03Speaker 3: it is AI. No, But you get fooled by A
- 35:05Speaker 3: all the time. I know this longer, this feels real.
- 35:08Speaker 3: Can you google? I mean, I can do it here.
- 35:11Speaker 3: What's the world? It says it is real? Yeah, that's real.
- 35:16Speaker 3: It's unreal too.
- 35:18Speaker 1: They can slow it down. They have to slow down
- 35:20Speaker 1: account it. I can't believe you thought that was fake.
- 35:22Speaker 1: You think everything fake is real? Correct, and now you
- 35:24Speaker 1: think real, real things are fake.
- 35:26Speaker 3: That's what happens when you get fooled so many times,
- 35:28Speaker 3: you're like, nothing's real anymore, everything's a bit, nothing's real.
- 35:33Speaker 3: You thought that was fake. I wouldn't have say you
- 35:35Speaker 3: something fake. I thought you were just trying to no
- 35:38Speaker 3: be funny and I'd already seen it, and I'd already
- 35:40Speaker 3: made up my mind that that was fake. Here you go.
- 35:42Speaker 1: This is I have it right here, the world record
- 35:45Speaker 1: for the most single rope jumps and I have thirty seconds.
- 35:49Speaker 3: I have ten seconds? Is it the same dude record?
- 35:54Speaker 1: This guy's name that I'm reading now for thirty seconds
- 35:57Speaker 1: is sind Ziolent. So I don't know, Mike, what see
- 36:00Speaker 1: over there?
- 36:00Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Yeah, Guinness World Record. Man,
- 36:03Speaker 3: his technique is not even admit it. You're wrong. Okay,
- 36:05Speaker 3: that's real. That's wrong. I was wrong. I have no
- 36:07Speaker 3: problem admitting that. I thought that that was real World record.
- 36:12Speaker 3: It's right here.
- 36:13Speaker 1: It's the same guy, sin Ziolin ten seconds, two hundred
- 36:17Speaker 1: and twenty eight jumps and Shane Hi. That's what we
- 36:22Speaker 1: play to get. Now, you guys, you know what's real.
- 36:24Speaker 3: It's real. Let's watch it. That's just freaking bee singing
- 36:33Speaker 3: leg Yeah. I watch my hand. Look looks like, look
- 36:37Speaker 3: at my hand.
- 36:38Speaker 1: You can't keep your eyes on it because it's so fascinating.
- 36:40Speaker 3: Move my hand back and more. This is the same thing.
- 36:42Speaker 3: Can you see my hand? Can you see my hand?
- 36:44Speaker 3: I mean no, I mean how do you prepare for that?
- 36:49Speaker 3: How do you train for that? The technique he's using
- 36:52Speaker 3: is almost like the technique we use in the power pad.
- 36:54Speaker 3: Do you remember that?
- 36:55Speaker 1: Yeah, slap, but we would get down on our hands
- 36:58Speaker 1: and do power pad slat.
- 36:59Speaker 3: No, I would do feet, but I would do it
- 37:01Speaker 3: like it just where I'm barely lifting.
- 37:02Speaker 1: That's what That's what he's doing. So it's the thing
- 37:05Speaker 1: that to head back in the day, and you could
- 37:07Speaker 1: do track and field was a great game. And you
- 37:08Speaker 1: roll the pad out and give you two little things.
- 37:10Speaker 1: We used to get down and easy to hit with
- 37:12Speaker 1: our hands. Oh you can do feet too, Okay, they're
- 37:15Speaker 1: supposed to do feet and you would like run on
- 37:16Speaker 1: it and the hurdle would come you jump, so.
- 37:18Speaker 4: Like a wee kind of thing.
- 37:19Speaker 1: But yeah, but with a path all that interesting. Yeah,
- 37:22Speaker 1: and Cheetah was the fastest dude you had to beat.
- 37:24Speaker 1: Cheetah was Yeah, sounds about right. What his name is
- 37:26Speaker 1: Cheetah and Hippo one of the first is slow. Yeah.
- 37:32Speaker 3: The fact that you thought that was fake.
- 37:33Speaker 1: Of course you're you by everything and then you think
- 37:37Speaker 1: everything real is false.
- 37:39Speaker 3: Because I'm trying to turn to that like mindset of
- 37:42Speaker 3: thinking that you know what, don't fall for everything. It's
- 37:44Speaker 3: just fake until proven true. Okay, one simple Google proves
- 37:49Speaker 3: the truth.
- 37:49Speaker 4: I know.
- 37:50Speaker 3: But then I feel Google's in on it too, you know,
- 37:52Speaker 3: like Google's in on it.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Just keep going with his ja guy who believes everything
- 37:57Speaker 1: thinks Google's in on the conspiracy it.
- 37:59Speaker 3: Okay, that's it.
- 38:00Speaker 1: We're gonna take a break now and talk to the
- 38:02Speaker 1: real basketball. Look, Eddie, look it's the same guy for
- 38:05Speaker 1: thirty seconds.
- 38:05Speaker 3: Wow on the Guinness World Record site. That's the same guy.
- 38:09Speaker 3: Sad different judge here. Yeah, I look at that boom.
- 38:13Speaker 3: I don't even see there. You can see a little
- 38:16Speaker 3: bit of it. And he's bent all the way over
- 38:17Speaker 3: like he's hunched over. Wow, that's pretty cool.
- 38:24Speaker 1: That's crazy.
- 38:26Speaker 3: So this is the he's the man for jump roping.
- 38:28Speaker 3: Yeah he is.
- 38:30Speaker 1: He's just the man period, jump rope or not. That
- 38:32Speaker 1: is somebody who's the man the man. Yeah, all right,
- 38:34Speaker 1: we'll come back and we'll talk uh college basketball next.

- 40:00Speaker 1: We're going to go over now to Matt Norlander from
- 40:02Speaker 1: CBS Sports senior writer, college basketball insider, analyst and co
- 40:06Speaker 1: host of The Ion College Basketball Podcast. He's there at
- 40:09Speaker 1: the Final Four this weekend. You can follow him on
- 40:12Speaker 1: Twitter at Matt Norlander and again the Ion College Basketball Podcast.
- 40:16Speaker 1: All right, big thanks to Matt for coming on here.
- 40:18Speaker 1: He is, Matt, I was reading your article on Bill
- 40:20Speaker 1: self returning to Kansas. Is he for sure back or
- 40:23Speaker 1: would he do a Bruce Pearl and stay until it's
- 40:26Speaker 1: so close to the time that he can retire and
- 40:28Speaker 1: then pick his own successor.
- 40:29Speaker 7: It's interesting you bring that up. I think there is
- 40:31Speaker 7: a chance that still be on the table, but I
- 40:34Speaker 7: think the intention here is is for him to return
- 40:36Speaker 7: for another full season at least, and you know, I'm
- 40:40Speaker 7: glad to see that, but never say never. I think
- 40:44Speaker 7: there's a mild possibility that he could get to October,
- 40:50Speaker 7: and who knows, because the biggest part of self doing
- 40:53Speaker 7: this in deciding here and now is health. He's had
- 40:56Speaker 7: multiple stints put in, he's had multiple heart issues. But
- 41:00Speaker 7: you know, he's told me multiple times that as long
- 41:02Speaker 7: as he was still feeling good, he was going to
- 41:03Speaker 7: continue to coach. So my prediction would be that it
- 41:07Speaker 7: means that he will indeed coach out. You know, I
- 41:10Speaker 7: would never say that with the one hundred percent clarity.
- 41:12Speaker 1: So you guys on your podcast Ion College Basketball, are
- 41:15Speaker 1: you guys doing a lot of talk about the coaching
- 41:17Speaker 1: I don't want to call it carousel, that's very football thing,
- 41:19Speaker 1: But what are you guys talking about that a lot?
- 41:21Speaker 1: And what are you doing with the North Carolina job
- 41:23Speaker 1: at this point?
- 41:23Speaker 7: Well, we talked about all of it on the Ion
- 41:25Speaker 7: College Basketball podcast, and you can call it the coach
- 41:26Speaker 7: in Caroussel. That is a college troops that is in
- 41:29Speaker 7: the vernacular as well. Carolina is the big one and
- 41:32Speaker 7: as actually actual I talked to you here on Thursday morning.
- 41:35Speaker 7: We're getting ready for a day's worth of media availability
- 41:37Speaker 7: here at the final four. We've got, you know, a
- 41:41Speaker 7: very unusual situation and that the North Carolina job is open.
- 41:44Speaker 7: That's unquestionably one of the four best jobs in college basketball,
- 41:48Speaker 7: and as that job is open, there are two candidates
- 41:51Speaker 7: for that job that are actually facing each other in
- 41:54Speaker 7: the Final four, in Arizona's Tommy Lloyd. I don't know
- 41:58Speaker 7: if either of them you wind up taking the job,
- 42:01Speaker 7: but to the best of mine, Lage, I went back
- 42:02Speaker 7: into a deep dive. This is the first time this
- 42:03Speaker 7: has ever happened. We have never had a final four
- 42:06Speaker 7: or national title game situation in men's college basketball where
- 42:09Speaker 7: two primary candidates for an open job elsewhere in the
- 42:13Speaker 7: sport happened to be facing off for their own respective
- 42:15Speaker 7: teams there. So, yeah, we talk about the carrousel on
- 42:17Speaker 7: the On College Basketball podcast. Obviously plenty of deep dives
- 42:20Speaker 7: on all the other stuff there as well. I appreciate
- 42:22Speaker 7: you mentioning the that, But the North Carolina opening, you know,
- 42:26Speaker 7: it is kind of dangling above the final four here
- 42:28Speaker 7: in Indianapolis, no question about it.
- 42:30Speaker 1: You cut out a little bit. I'm assuming Dusty May
- 42:32Speaker 1: is the other person that you said when you were
- 42:33Speaker 1: talking about the coaches.
- 42:35Speaker 7: Yeah, if I cut out a little bit, my apologies there.
- 42:37Speaker 7: I'm at the mercy of the of the Wi FI
- 42:39Speaker 7: here at Lucaso Oil Stadium. But yes, Dusty Maye at Michigan,
- 42:42Speaker 7: Tommy Lloyd at Arizona, and then Billy Donovan with the
- 42:44Speaker 7: Chicago Bulls are the three primary targets right now in
- 42:47Speaker 7: North Carolina, and it's opening as we speak here today.
- 42:50Speaker 7: There's no clear indication if any of them is more
- 42:52Speaker 7: likely than the other to say yes.
- 42:53Speaker 1: If you were making that call, I feel like Billy
- 42:55Speaker 1: Donovan will be the guy if you'd get them to
- 42:56Speaker 1: leave Chicago, leave the luxurious life of the NBA. We
- 43:00Speaker 1: direction would you go.
- 43:01Speaker 6: If it was well?
- 43:02Speaker 7: If I knew that, if I knew that the candidate
- 43:04Speaker 7: would say yes, I would go Tommy Lloyd over the
- 43:07Speaker 7: other two, and it would be a very narrow margins there.
- 43:10Speaker 7: Tommy Lloyd has done an outstanding job at one of
- 43:12Speaker 7: the top ten jobs in the sport at Arizona. He
- 43:14Speaker 7: has worked in this portal, and nil era understand what about.
- 43:19Speaker 7: He's got more wins through the first five seasons of
- 43:21Speaker 7: his career than any coach in the history of the
- 43:22Speaker 7: sport has had through their first five seasons coaching men's
- 43:26Speaker 7: college basketball. So if I knew I was getting a
- 43:28Speaker 7: guest from Tommy Lloyd, and I knew I was getting
- 43:30Speaker 7: a guest from Dustin May, and I knew that I
- 43:31Speaker 7: was getting a guest from Billy Donovan, which I don't
- 43:33Speaker 7: think is going to be the case, or in North Carolina.
- 43:35Speaker 7: I don't think all three are going to say yes.
- 43:36Speaker 7: But if I knew what I was getting guesses across
- 43:38Speaker 7: the board and I got to pick, I would take
- 43:40Speaker 7: Tommy Lloyd. Now, Donovan's an interesting one because he has
- 43:43Speaker 7: more deep experience into the tournament, a couple national championships
- 43:47Speaker 7: of course, multi what three Final four trips overall, but
- 43:51Speaker 7: he hasn't been in the sport for more than a decade.
- 43:53Speaker 3: Now.
- 43:53Speaker 6: That's not to say that he can't return and have
- 43:55Speaker 6: a lot of success.
- 43:55Speaker 1: He could.
- 43:56Speaker 7: But the other dynamic with Billy Donovan to keep in
- 43:58Speaker 7: mind is that kind of expected her to be a
- 44:01Speaker 7: changing of the guard with the Chicago Bulls franchise. But
- 44:03Speaker 7: there's going to be eight, nine, ten jobs that change
- 44:06Speaker 7: over at the NBA level the spring, and as was
- 44:09Speaker 7: laid out to me by a well connected NBA source
- 44:11Speaker 7: earlier this week, there aren't really eight or nine or
- 44:13Speaker 7: ten obvious candidates to fill those positions. So that means
- 44:16Speaker 7: that if Billy Donovan wants to remain an NBA coach,
- 44:19Speaker 7: He'll have one or two other spots that are going
- 44:21Speaker 7: to open that he could get those jobs if he wanted,
- 44:23Speaker 7: So just keep that in mind as well. There's a
- 44:25Speaker 7: lot of talk about how he'd be open to going
- 44:27Speaker 7: back to North Carolina or going to North Carolina to
- 44:28Speaker 7: go back to college basketball, and I think that is possible,
- 44:32Speaker 7: But don't underestimate the overall appeal of coaching in the NBA,
- 44:36Speaker 7: and Billy Donovan will be no short There will be
- 44:37Speaker 7: no shortage of options.
- 44:39Speaker 1: What are your thoughts on Dan Hurley as a dude?
- 44:42Speaker 7: Dan Hurley is one of the great characters in all
- 44:45Speaker 7: of American sports. I know Dan well, I've known him
- 44:48Speaker 7: for more than a decade. He is authentically himself. That
- 44:52Speaker 7: can sometimes get him into trouble. I often find his
- 44:56Speaker 7: natural personality to be entertaining, sometimes downright far. Does he
- 45:01Speaker 7: cross the line, Yes, he has, unquestionably so, But he
- 45:04Speaker 7: is so very much himself.
- 45:05Speaker 6: And I appreciate the fact that you know.
- 45:08Speaker 7: In the seventies and in the eighties and in the nineties,
- 45:11Speaker 7: college football, college basketball, the lore of these sports was
- 45:14Speaker 7: built out in part by the personalities and the characters
- 45:18Speaker 7: of the coaches, and as you know, over the past
- 45:20Speaker 7: twenty years, a lot of that has been stripped away
- 45:23Speaker 7: from mainstream American sports and the coaching profession at any
- 45:26Speaker 7: level you know, professional football, baseball, basketball. The college ranks
- 45:30Speaker 7: still have kept some of that personality, but it's a
- 45:33Speaker 7: selling point for the sport to have coaches who are
- 45:36Speaker 7: not overly guarded, who did not give pan you know,
- 45:40Speaker 7: trite cliche answers, and so Hurley has become the face
- 45:43Speaker 7: of the sport well winning.
- 45:44Speaker 6: At a level that is outrageous.
- 45:46Speaker 7: The fact that he has now brought a Yukon program
- 45:48Speaker 7: back to the Final Four for the third time in
- 45:50Speaker 7: four years is amazing. And his his you know, his
- 45:54Speaker 7: star senior Alex Caravan. He readies for this game against
- 45:57Speaker 7: Illinois on Saturday with a seventeen and one record in
- 46:00Speaker 7: the n SO of Late tournament, which is astounding.
- 46:03Speaker 1: So they're gonna play Illinois again. This is a rematch.
- 46:06Speaker 1: Have these teams changed at all since they played the
- 46:08Speaker 1: first time.
- 46:09Speaker 6: Yes, they have.
- 46:09Speaker 7: They're definitely different teams. They played back in the day
- 46:12Speaker 7: after Thanksgiving at Madison Square Garden. It looked like they
- 46:15Speaker 7: were playing in a level of Super Mario brothers because
- 46:17Speaker 7: the Knixt floor was still with that NBA Cup deal
- 46:20Speaker 7: back then.
- 46:21Speaker 6: It was a very very weird watch.
- 46:22Speaker 7: But Keaton Woggler, who's an outstanding player for Illinois and
- 46:25Speaker 7: one of the best freshmen in the country, one of
- 46:27Speaker 7: the best players in the country, despite not being a
- 46:28Speaker 7: four star or even a five star prospect, he didn't
- 46:31Speaker 7: really play a ton and didn't play that well in
- 46:32Speaker 7: that game. He has since emerged to be just a stud.
- 46:35Speaker 7: So does the fact that Yukon won with ease over
- 46:38Speaker 7: Illinois essentially more than four months ago does it matter
- 46:41Speaker 7: that much? I really don't think it does. The personnel
- 46:44Speaker 7: is obviously mostly the same, but I don't think that
- 46:46Speaker 7: has too much of a factor. But there is a
- 46:48Speaker 7: certain mental edge that this coaching staff with Yukon has
- 46:50Speaker 7: because it wasn't just the win this season that they
- 46:53Speaker 7: comfortably got it done, even though a lot of the
- 46:55Speaker 7: personnel on the on the court was different. Two years ago,
- 46:58Speaker 7: I was there in Boston in the lead eight, so
- 47:00Speaker 7: just one round earlier than this. Right now, Yukon eviscerated
- 47:04Speaker 7: in Illinois and at one point went on a thirty
- 47:06Speaker 7: to thirty.
- 47:07Speaker 6: To nothing run in that game. I've never seen anything
- 47:10Speaker 6: like it.
- 47:11Speaker 7: I wonder if that actually winds up being a significant
- 47:15Speaker 7: advantage just on the coaching end and the prep end.
- 47:17Speaker 7: I don't know if it will or won't, but that's
- 47:18Speaker 7: a very very good game. I could see either of
- 47:20Speaker 7: those two teams winning. I wouldn't take too much stock
- 47:22Speaker 7: to the fact that the Huskies were able to win
- 47:24Speaker 7: with up an ease against the Aliani back at the
- 47:26Speaker 7: end of November.
- 47:27Speaker 1: I have two questions for you left to me just
- 47:30Speaker 1: eyeballing it. Michigan and Arizona have been the dominant teams
- 47:33Speaker 1: in the tournament, and as just an eyeball guy, it's like,
- 47:36Speaker 1: I don't know who ever wins this probably has the
- 47:38Speaker 1: edge to win the whole thing. Your thoughts on this
- 47:40Speaker 1: matchup and do you feel the same way about those
- 47:42Speaker 1: two teams?
- 47:42Speaker 7: The matchup is phenomenal. The winner of that game on
- 47:46Speaker 7: Saturday is going to be favorite to win the title.
- 47:48Speaker 7: But there have been plenty of instances over the years,
- 47:50Speaker 7: and we don't get this every single year, but there
- 47:51Speaker 7: have been plenty of instances over the years where one
- 47:54Speaker 7: Final four matchup clearly seems to have the two best
- 47:57Speaker 7: teams of the four in the National Semis and then
- 48:00Speaker 7: the winner of that game doesn't win the national title.
- 48:02Speaker 7: So Yukon and Illinois are both capable of winning two more.
- 48:05Speaker 7: All of these I could speak. It's not hard for me, Bobby.
- 48:08Speaker 7: It's not hard for me to envision any of these
- 48:10Speaker 7: teams being on the floor, confecting on the court on
- 48:13Speaker 7: late Monday night here Indianapolis and getting it done. But
- 48:16Speaker 7: these two, yes, they've been incredible. I've had the good
- 48:19Speaker 7: fortune of seeing Arizona. I saw Arizona win at Yukon
- 48:22Speaker 7: back Arizona win a tough game on the road against
- 48:24Speaker 7: aj Debonsa, the nation's leading scorer at the end of
- 48:27Speaker 7: January at DYU. I saw Arizona win the Big Twelve
- 48:31Speaker 7: Championship in person in Kansas City, and in the process
- 48:33Speaker 7: of doing that, beat Iowa State and made it the
- 48:35Speaker 7: game of the year a buzzer beater courtesy of Jayden
- 48:37Speaker 7: Bradley that transpired at the end of that incredible forty
- 48:40Speaker 7: minute battle. And I just was in San Jose last
- 48:42Speaker 7: week and I saw Arizona escape the West Regional. They've
- 48:45Speaker 7: been incredible. I've also saw Michigan in person multiple times
- 48:48Speaker 7: this season, including when they beat Gonzaga by forty, and
- 48:51Speaker 7: they also beat San Diego State in Auburn by thirty,
- 48:54Speaker 7: and that just humongously impressive run in the Players Era
- 48:57Speaker 7: Championship back in Vegas in November. So if it was
- 49:00Speaker 7: the national title GAME'M sure it'd be incredible, it'd be amazing.
- 49:03Speaker 7: But that's not how the bract works. They were both
- 49:04Speaker 7: put on the right side of the bracket. They're going
- 49:06Speaker 7: to square off here on Saturday. And what I think,
- 49:09Speaker 7: Bobby is if both teams I've said this a couple
- 49:11Speaker 7: times earlier this week, and I genuinely believe it, If
- 49:13Speaker 7: Arizona and Michigan on Saturday are able to play to
- 49:17Speaker 7: their absolute peaks, if each of those teams and each
- 49:20Speaker 7: of those coaches bring out the best in each other,
- 49:22Speaker 7: then we have the potential for one of the best
- 49:24Speaker 7: college basketball games that we've seen this decade. We'll see,
- 49:27Speaker 7: we'll see if both can do it, or if one
- 49:28Speaker 7: side really gets the edge over the other.
- 49:30Speaker 1: My final question is very portal related. It's not officially open.
- 49:33Speaker 1: You can't go for business yet, but everybody's declaring and
- 49:36Speaker 1: you have some kids that are already committing. The portal's
- 49:39Speaker 1: not even open, but these coaches that are involved in
- 49:41Speaker 1: the Final four, they've got to be in double duty
- 49:43Speaker 1: right now, right.
- 49:44Speaker 7: Yeah, to a certain extent, yes, now, it's not as
- 49:46Speaker 7: bad as it was a couple of years ago. I
- 49:47Speaker 7: actually remember literally going into the Yukon locker room in
- 49:50Speaker 7: twenty four, maybe it was twenty three.
- 49:52Speaker 6: They want to your.
- 49:52Speaker 7: Title, some of the some of the stuff leads together there.
- 49:55Speaker 7: But as I was going in there, like I quite
- 49:57Speaker 7: literally saw on a zoom call a trend with the transfer.
- 50:00Speaker 7: Now at that point, the portal was open. Thankfully, they
- 50:03Speaker 7: have changed the rules so players can't officially go in now,
- 50:05Speaker 7: nothing stopping these players from announcing that they're going to
- 50:08Speaker 7: go into the portal. I understand that can and will happen,
- 50:10Speaker 7: and that's fine, But from an official contact standpoint, like, yeah,
- 50:14Speaker 7: coach has probably got a little bit of that going on.
- 50:16Speaker 7: But based on my conversations, it's not as overwhelming as
- 50:20Speaker 7: it was last year or the year before and the
- 50:22Speaker 7: year before that. It's an inevitability with this sport. This
- 50:25Speaker 7: is one of those good problems that you'd like to have.
- 50:26Speaker 7: You'd like to still be here at the Final four.
- 50:28Speaker 7: And if that means that, yes, you've got a roster,
- 50:30Speaker 7: manage a little bit, and have a couple of agents
- 50:32Speaker 7: reaching out to your staff about potential guys that might
- 50:34Speaker 7: be wanting to come to your program. It's not the
- 50:36Speaker 7: most fun thing in the world, but it's much better
- 50:38Speaker 7: than the alternative, and that's sitting at home watching the
- 50:40Speaker 7: Final Four from your living room. So it's still a
- 50:44Speaker 7: better system than college football. I mean, college football is
- 50:46Speaker 7: calendar and its portal cycle is much worse than than
- 50:49Speaker 7: on the hoops end. Here at the very least, the
- 50:51Speaker 7: portal will not officially open until next Tuesday, and then
- 50:54Speaker 7: we're off to the races and free agency. Really, it
- 50:57Speaker 7: will be a megaspree in the ensuing month there in
- 50:59Speaker 7: college basketball.
- 51:00Speaker 1: All right, Matt Norlander and check out the Eye on
- 51:02Speaker 1: College Basketball podcast he does with Gary Parrish and CBS
- 51:06Speaker 1: Sports dot Com has his article, great article on Bill
- 51:08Speaker 1: self that went up. Matt, Thank you, hope you have
- 51:10Speaker 1: a great, great weekend. I hope we can see some
- 51:12Speaker 1: good games. Just close games is all I want.
- 51:15Speaker 7: And I'm I'm gonna promo one thing and it'll go
- 51:17Speaker 7: up on Friday. Tommy Lloyd of Arizona, massive Beastie Boys fan,
- 51:20Speaker 7: I'm gonna have a big feature on his Beastie Boys
- 51:22Speaker 7: fandom and how it kind of defines who he is
- 51:25Speaker 7: as a person.
- 51:25Speaker 6: So that'll be up on Friday. I'm very very much
- 51:27Speaker 6: looking forward to getting.
- 51:28Speaker 1: That out in the world, as am I because I
- 51:30Speaker 1: am also a massive Beastie Boys fan, so that works
- 51:32Speaker 1: for me as well. All Right, Matt, thanks man to
- 51:34Speaker 1: talk to you soon.
- 51:35Speaker 3: Thank you everybody for hanging out. Let's blow that whistle.
- 51:40Speaker 1: Have a good weekend, and I don't know, I'm gonna
- 51:43Speaker 1: watch Arkansas softball. They're playing a Saturday Sunday Monday series,
- 51:48Speaker 1: which they don't often do, but because Monday is called
- 51:51Speaker 1: like micd up Monday where they're micing.
- 51:54Speaker 3: Up the head coach to the razorbacks. Oh that's cool.
- 51:56Speaker 1: Yeah, because I ask DJ, who's the hitting coach?
- 51:58Speaker 3: Like, why don't you just plan on Friday?
- 51:59Speaker 1: He's like, we're doing miked up Monday.
- 52:00Speaker 3: And I don't know what it means miked up Monday?
- 52:03Speaker 3: Some we all know. Is it just the head coach
- 52:05Speaker 3: or does DJ get the money?
- 52:06Speaker 1: Now? Can you imagine all the coaches are miked up?
- 52:08Speaker 1: It's just non stop talking, Yeah, live stream of it.
- 52:11Speaker 1: So yeah, this weekend, do that I'm not doing much.
- 52:14Speaker 3: We got a baby. It's a few weeks old.
- 52:16Speaker 1: But on the Bobby Bone channel YouTube, maybe you can
- 52:19Speaker 1: watch my new series, Father Knows Less.
- 52:23Speaker 4: Talk Daddy to me, Eddie.
- 52:26Speaker 3: I like to talk Daddy.
- 52:28Speaker 7: I know, do I know?
- 52:29Speaker 3: Thank you guys, have a great weekend and.
- 52:32Speaker 1: We'll see you guys Monday.
- 52:33Speaker 3: By Everybody.
