- 0:27Speaker 3: after we read them. So send your things that must
- 0:30Speaker 3: go to Radio from Hell at X ninety six dot com.
- 0:34Speaker 3: This one says, good morning, Radio from Hell. Astronomy on
- 0:37Speaker 3: Tap is a great way to discover the universe with scientists, educators, writers, artists,
- 0:41Speaker 3: and other cosmic enthusiasts at a bar nearby. Each usually
- 0:46Speaker 3: free event is accessible engaging presentations on space and science
- 0:50Speaker 3: topics ranging from planets to black holes to gallaxy cool
- 0:54Speaker 3: The one held earlier this week featured satellites and climate change.
- 0:57Speaker 3: I posted the event online to meet new people, and
- 0:59Speaker 3: I met several new people at the bar as an
- 1:01Speaker 3: event host. But my thing that must go is discovering
- 1:04Speaker 3: that I split my pants during a conversation complaining about
- 1:09Speaker 3: insurance with a stranger. I felt really embarrassed when I
- 1:12Speaker 3: felt this odd breeze passed behind me.
- 1:15Speaker 2: I left the bar early, grateful.
- 1:17Speaker 3: That I wasn't hanging things out that night. Thanks for
- 1:20Speaker 3: letting me listen, Tony. This one says my thing that
- 1:23Speaker 3: must go or my bowels. Let me explain. I can
- 1:27Speaker 3: really empathize with this. I attempt to use the bathroom
- 1:30Speaker 3: before leaving for work.
- 1:31Speaker 2: Nothing.
- 1:32Speaker 3: Then, about halfway to work, the intense urge to vacate
- 1:36Speaker 3: my bowels comes, but I'm on the freeway and still
- 1:38Speaker 3: fifteen twenty minutes away from work. Upon arriving at work,
- 1:42Speaker 3: it's a weird clenching and dash to the bathroom. Oh,
- 1:44Speaker 3: please make my bowel movement synchronized with my actual schedule.
- 1:47Speaker 3: Thanks for letting me listen. This one says I have
- 1:49Speaker 3: a laundry list of things that must go. I was
- 1:52Speaker 3: originally hired as a remote employee before the pandemic, but
- 1:55Speaker 3: my company now has decided that everybody must return to
- 1:58Speaker 3: an office. There is no office in Utah, so my
- 2:02Speaker 3: position will be eliminated at the end of October. On
- 2:05Speaker 3: top of that, my wallet and my phone were recently stolen,
- 2:08Speaker 3: so I've been dealing with the fallout from that, and
- 2:10Speaker 3: I've turned to it into a detective because the police
- 2:13Speaker 3: have too many cases. Additionally, my mom was just diagnosed
- 2:17Speaker 3: with aggressive cancer last week, and my daughter's cat had
- 2:19Speaker 3: to undergo surgery to have his spleen removed. Lastly, the
- 2:24Speaker 3: corruption in our federal government. Thanks for letting me listen
- 2:27Speaker 3: to your cynical friend to Jessica. And this one. There's
- 2:31Speaker 3: just two short ones here. I live in North Carolina,
- 2:33Speaker 3: and the humidity must go. It's Mother Nature's sauna down here,
- 2:36Speaker 3: and I work outside. Winter cannot come fast enough. Also,
- 2:39Speaker 3: crazy neighbors must go. I love listening to you guys, Beth.
- 2:43Speaker 3: And then this one from doctor Mike. The reflection Pool,
- 2:46Speaker 3: the ballroom, the Arch, the war and Iran Straight of
- 2:49Speaker 3: Horror moves, Donald Trump, Thank you, doctor Michael.
- 2:52Speaker 4: All right, Kerry, things that must go, my bad luck.
- 2:56Speaker 4: Three This is from somebody.
- 2:58Speaker 2: Oh no, no sign.
- 3:00Speaker 4: Three surgeries this summer. Two blown tires, still disabled. Boom.
- 3:06Speaker 4: This one from Suzanne without an E. People who know
- 3:11Speaker 4: me know I don't like to talk on the phone.
- 3:14Speaker 4: I'm always trying to get off the phone by saying
- 3:17Speaker 4: okay bye, then gooybye, okay.
- 3:19Speaker 2: See you later.
- 3:21Speaker 4: So please help me deal with it if you can
- 3:23Speaker 4: make the following go. People calling me right after I
- 3:27Speaker 4: have texted them, knowing I have to pick up because
- 3:30Speaker 4: the phone is still in my hand.
- 3:32Speaker 2: I know you're there.
- 3:33Speaker 4: Yeah, you don't have to answer. Sleepless at Sandy, I
- 3:38Speaker 4: think they must go. Having to take my dog, Walter
- 3:40Speaker 4: White to have an echo cardiogram today on doctor Davis's advice.
- 3:44Speaker 4: Grateful to doctor Davis for taking care of my Walter,
- 3:47Speaker 4: but his heart murmur must go, hoping for the best
- 3:50Speaker 4: diagnosis possible. And this one from Hunter, Hello peoples, Horsey girl.
- 3:57Speaker 4: Gina not taking Frank Christ to task for his dislike
- 4:00Speaker 4: of horses must go.
- 4:02Speaker 1: I don't want to make Frank mad.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Seasons don't share the reaper, but does Gina.
- 4:07Speaker 1: I'm in the room with him.
- 4:09Speaker 2: I don't want to.
- 4:11Speaker 4: Me typing in Cody whenever I try to type city
- 4:15Speaker 4: must go.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Okay, Oh Hunter, all right, let's see dear Carrie billingin
- 4:21Speaker 1: and please don't use my name. My wife and I
- 4:24Speaker 1: are foster parents, and recently we adopted a little boy
- 4:27Speaker 1: and couldn't be more happy. After doing this for a
- 4:29Speaker 1: few years, I've seen misconceptions held by people outside the
- 4:33Speaker 1: foster community that must go. Here are a few of them.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Number one, the foster care system rips children from their families,
- 4:40Speaker 1: so these are misconceptions. DCFS does not want to remove
- 4:45Speaker 1: children from their homes. If a child's removed the home
- 4:47Speaker 1: situation was unsafe. Even after removal, unless the situation is
- 4:52Speaker 1: beyond repair, reunification with the family is the primary goal.
- 4:56Speaker 1: Number two. Foster parents do it for the money. You
- 4:59Speaker 1: get a stipend and win benefits that help offset the
- 5:01Speaker 1: cost of caring for a child. But I can't believe
- 5:03Speaker 1: I have to say this, you are not making money.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Number three seeing children in the system as bad or damaged.
- 5:11Speaker 1: They're traumatized. They didn't do a damn thing to deserve this.
- 5:14Speaker 1: Some of the stuff that's happened to these children is
- 5:16Speaker 1: truly horrific. Their behaviors are often a defense mechanism that
- 5:20Speaker 1: they create to try to survive. And number four is
- 5:23Speaker 1: saying that the children are lucky to have you is
- 5:25Speaker 1: foster parents. I know this comes from well meaning place
- 5:28Speaker 1: and it's a compliment. However, these kids have been pulled
- 5:31Speaker 1: out of their home, sometimes by the police, when they
- 5:33Speaker 1: have just a few minutes to put their belongings in
- 5:36Speaker 1: a garbage bag. They're putting a strange home with people
- 5:38Speaker 1: they don't know. As foster parents, will do our best
- 5:41Speaker 1: to give them a home filled with safety and love,
- 5:43Speaker 1: but there's nothing lucky about their situation. Sorry for the
- 5:46Speaker 1: long winded list, thanks for letting me listen.
- 5:49Speaker 2: All of those things should not have to be disappointed.
- 5:51Speaker 1: No exactly this from Elaizabrarian lords. Please use your powers
- 5:56Speaker 1: to make these things go go excuse me.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Drop off.
- 6:01Speaker 1: It universally stinks. I want the transporter star Trek promised
- 6:05Speaker 1: us already, because parking lots are an s show no
- 6:08Speaker 1: matter what ages, the students are shrinking, budgets for essential
- 6:13Speaker 1: public services must go, and everything costing too damn much.
- 6:18Speaker 1: And finally, this, when you bring up that a celebrity
- 6:22Speaker 1: has passed away, not that you just blurt it out
- 6:24Speaker 1: like Debbie Downer, just because it came up organically in
- 6:27Speaker 1: the conversation, you shouldn't be treated like the one who
- 6:30Speaker 1: took their precious celebrity from them. The threat of a
- 6:33Speaker 1: shin kick is not a valid response. I'm not Frank
- 6:36Speaker 1: christ over here management, who knows there's limited space in
- 6:40Speaker 1: the fridge in the office yet when it breaks down,
- 6:42Speaker 1: they don't fix the nice large fridge. They bring in
- 6:44Speaker 1: a tiny fridge about a third of the size to
- 6:46Speaker 1: replace it. And having soap dispensers in the bathrooms that
- 6:50Speaker 1: are decorative only.
- 6:51Speaker 2: They have a little.
- 6:52Speaker 1: Hand pumped soft soap next to the one of the
- 6:54Speaker 1: four sinks. It doesn't make things offered at all when
- 6:58Speaker 1: I'm at this sink and the soaps all the way
- 6:59Speaker 1: over there.
- 7:01Speaker 3: There you go.
- 7:04Speaker 1: Thanks.
- 7:05Speaker 2: That must go on the radio on Hell Show.
