- 0:06Speaker 1: We'll break it all down for you. My name is
- 0:07Speaker 1: Paul Baron. Welcome back in a tech path. I want
- 0:09Speaker 1: to thank our sponsor today and that is Tangum. Tangum
- 0:12Speaker 1: is a great place to get your own self custody
- 0:14Speaker 1: wallet going. And it's really cool because you can use
- 0:16Speaker 1: it like a credit card, works with your phone. Very
- 0:19Speaker 1: simple to set up. And the cool thing here is
- 0:21Speaker 1: you can use all sorts of tokens over there, get
- 0:24Speaker 1: up the centralized exchanges, start moving into centralized our decentralized wallets,
- 0:29Speaker 1: and it's very simple to do. All I have to
- 0:31Speaker 1: do is use our link down below. Now there is
- 0:33Speaker 1: a cool thing you can get actually twenty percent off
- 0:36Speaker 1: right now if you use the link down below, just
- 0:39Speaker 1: use PBN, it's going to give you twenty percent off
- 0:41Speaker 1: and you're going to do that. I think it's up
- 0:42Speaker 1: to the fifteenth of December, so do it quickly. Hit
- 0:45Speaker 1: that little get Tangent button right there on their website
- 0:48Speaker 1: and boom you will be in there to get the
- 0:49Speaker 1: three cards set. That's the route to take and you'll
- 0:52Speaker 1: get the twenty off. All right, guys, let's go into
- 0:55Speaker 1: a couple of points because I want to get into
- 0:56Speaker 1: some of the detail here around this whole issue with
- 0:59Speaker 1: bitcoin falling. Everybody worried about Microsoft not selecting bitcoin to
- 1:04Speaker 1: put on their balance sheet. Well, of course that did occur,
- 1:07Speaker 1: and bitcoin did take a little bit of a hit
- 1:09Speaker 1: down under ninety five K. Couple of things that you
- 1:12Speaker 1: have to look at when you consider what is going
- 1:15Speaker 1: on with bitcoin right now. This of course is happening
- 1:19Speaker 1: over in Abu Dhabi, and this is really getting into
- 1:23Speaker 1: kind of the flow of how the rest of the
- 1:26Speaker 1: world is looking at digital assets. When you think about that,
- 1:30Speaker 1: you have to consider this right here. Tether's USDT is
- 1:35Speaker 1: now accepted as a virtual asset in Abu Dhabi's global market,
- 1:39Speaker 1: so interestingly enough that they were hosting that event, the
- 1:43Speaker 1: Bitcoin event in Abudabi, while this is actually occurring in
- 1:46Speaker 1: their global market, which is of course USDT on three
- 1:50Speaker 1: major blockchains Ethereum, Salona, and Avalanche. That is why I
- 1:55Speaker 1: think we're going to see more and more corporations and
- 1:57Speaker 1: more companies starting to flow into THEEUM. One of the
- 2:01Speaker 1: things you have to consider is Microsoft doesn't do things
- 2:04Speaker 1: without almost like the Asians ten year Plan, fifty year plan.
- 2:09Speaker 1: They're looking at how does technology start to advance forward,
- 2:13Speaker 1: so they're very cautious. I was actually an engineer there,
- 2:17Speaker 1: ran a retail division there at Microsoft, and one of
- 2:20Speaker 1: the things that we did at that time was we
- 2:23Speaker 1: were usually four or five years out in terms of
- 2:26Speaker 1: just our supply chain, so everything is done way in advance.
- 2:30Speaker 1: They're looking for ways to start to integrate this, and
- 2:33Speaker 1: I think this is what's showing up on some of
- 2:35Speaker 1: our own research. If you look back into twenty seventeen.
- 2:38Speaker 1: This is from twenty seventeen, Microsoft joining the Blockchain Innovators
- 2:42Speaker 1: and Enterprise Ethereum Alliance, and you can kind of see
- 2:45Speaker 1: some of the companies in there. I'll zoom in on
- 2:47Speaker 1: that right there, Ceme, JP, Morgan, Monacs in their stand
- 2:51Speaker 1: tender tenderments in there, and of course I in G etc.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Point being is that all of this was happening right
- 2:58Speaker 1: there March of twenty six seventeen. Okay, another thing, when
- 3:02Speaker 1: you go back in to look at the history of Microsoft,
- 3:04Speaker 1: you have to go back to the Ethereum Foundation. This
- 3:06Speaker 1: was a video that was done five years ago. Okay,
- 3:09Speaker 1: hardly no views on this video, by the way, but
- 3:11Speaker 1: you'll notice something in here if you zoom in right there,
- 3:16Speaker 1: a Zoo blockchain service. So the idea is that blockchain
- 3:19Speaker 1: eventually would make its way into the enterprise, and I
- 3:22Speaker 1: think that is really the sweet spot for Microsoft. And
- 3:26Speaker 1: this I think is of course leaning into what has
- 3:29Speaker 1: happening with Ethereum. I want to go to a clip
- 3:32Speaker 1: real quick because this will be a little bit more current,
- 3:35Speaker 1: it's only three weeks ago, and it will explain why
- 3:38Speaker 1: Microsoft could be choosing eth as the track. Take a
- 3:41Speaker 1: look again.
- 3:42Speaker 2: I'm Karen Scarborough. I lead the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance as
- 3:47Speaker 2: executive director right now, and in my day job I
- 3:50Speaker 2: work for Microsoft, so I have a very good hand
- 3:53Speaker 2: on how some of the largest enterprises are viewing THEEUM today.
- 3:57Speaker 2: We were actually an organization started way back in twenty
- 4:01Speaker 2: seventeen and Ethereum actually put together the largest consorts of
- 4:06Speaker 2: companies to be able to start acting on that activity.
- 4:10Speaker 2: And ultimately, our goal is to make it so clear
- 4:13Speaker 2: for business that whenever they choose to do business in
- 4:16Speaker 2: Web three, Ethereum and the Layer two ecosystem is the
- 4:19Speaker 2: very clear choice that they choose to go with. Now
- 4:23Speaker 2: it is one hundred percent public Ethereum based. That is
- 4:26Speaker 2: our recommendation and our strong point of view to the
- 4:29Speaker 2: enterprise ecosystem is to choose public ethereum for where you
- 4:33Speaker 2: want to build. Our membership rate is increasing at a
- 4:36Speaker 2: all time high. At this point, we have the likes
- 4:39Speaker 2: of Microsoft, ey JP, Morgan, sent Tandera. On the Web
- 4:42Speaker 2: two side, we have strongly articulated points of view. We
- 4:46Speaker 2: are not coming in with, well, maybe choose this ecosystem,
- 4:50Speaker 2: Maybe choose that we are ethereum based and want to
- 4:53Speaker 2: give clarity to the enterprise ecosystem to join us in
- 4:57Speaker 2: doing that.
- 4:58Speaker 3: What is your take on Microsoft, It's where we want
- 5:02Speaker 3: to build.
- 5:03Speaker 2: I'll put it that way. It's the strongest ecosystem to
- 5:06Speaker 2: align with for the future of the technology more prolifically,
- 5:10Speaker 2: if you look at enterprise cloud environments, Ethereum has always
- 5:14Speaker 2: been the basis of which to build there. And that's
- 5:18Speaker 2: really significant.
- 5:19Speaker 4: When you say ethereum, are you're talking like just main
- 5:22Speaker 4: ethereum or you're trinkingtherum including later.
- 5:24Speaker 2: We're not directing people to main neet activities, but building
- 5:28Speaker 2: and that which has ethereum as the settlement layer of
- 5:31Speaker 2: the Internet.
- 5:33Speaker 1: All right, So some other things you have to look
- 5:35Speaker 1: at is the Microsoft marketplace, and of course Axelar also
- 5:40Speaker 1: is residing in there as well, and the reason is
- 5:42Speaker 1: because of the interoperability. Acxil are of course connected to
- 5:45Speaker 1: a lot of chains out there, including Salona, Suite, Ripple, Stellar,
- 5:49Speaker 1: et cetera, not necessarily Bitcoin. So this is again more
- 5:54Speaker 1: indicators that could be going in the direction of being
- 5:57Speaker 1: one of the primary focuses if you go in and
- 5:59Speaker 1: look at adoption, because this is one thing that Microsoft
- 6:02Speaker 1: will also do, just like any major corporation, they're going
- 6:05Speaker 1: to look at where the flow of major fortune five
- 6:09Speaker 1: hundred and also industry leaders are going. If you look
- 6:13Speaker 1: by entities this is in twenty twenty four. These are
- 6:16Speaker 1: the adoption of what we're seeing of course within Ethereum,
- 6:19Speaker 1: and you'll see Aws, Adidas, Atari, Bank of China. All
- 6:23Speaker 1: these are recognizable brands or companies that are significant in
- 6:28Speaker 1: e commerce. Disney there you go adulce. It is unbelievable
- 6:33Speaker 1: how much adoption we've already seen moving in the direction
- 6:37Speaker 1: of where eth is going. So Microsoft understands that they
- 6:40Speaker 1: understand where this direction is going. You also have to
- 6:43Speaker 1: consider other companies out there that have kind of gone
- 6:46Speaker 1: in this direction as well. We just did a video
- 6:47Speaker 1: with Yatsu and it was all talking about eBay joining
- 6:51Speaker 1: Ethereum again, another major behemoth in Silicon Valley that has
- 6:56Speaker 1: made a major move in this direction. So maybe the
- 6:59Speaker 1: reason they did not choose bitcoin was because of their
- 7:02Speaker 1: plans and where their direction is going in terms of
- 7:05Speaker 1: building on blockchain being in the eth ecosystem. One of
- 7:08Speaker 1: the things to take a look at is their investment fund,
- 7:11Speaker 1: their venture fund, and the fact that they're going into
- 7:13Speaker 1: Web three and gaming is already showing a good indicator
- 7:17Speaker 1: of where they plan to go. And again, remember the
- 7:21Speaker 1: strategy I think for a lot of these companies, whether
- 7:24Speaker 1: it's a Microsoft, an Apple, and Amazon, they're making long
- 7:28Speaker 1: term bets around where they think the tech is going
- 7:30Speaker 1: to go. Now there's a lot of new things that
- 7:32Speaker 1: are starting to affect that AI the likelihood of what
- 7:35Speaker 1: we'll see in some of these layer twos and also
- 7:37Speaker 1: some of the other chains that started to rise to prominence,
- 7:41Speaker 1: and I think that's the direction we're leaning with where
- 7:43Speaker 1: Microsoft is because they recognize the new evolution around all
- 7:47Speaker 1: of this. Now, remember we did a video back here.
- 7:50Speaker 1: It was a year ago, was it, Yeah? A year
- 7:53Speaker 1: ago we did this and this is where they were
- 7:55Speaker 1: leaking Xbox was leaking involvement in an actual crypto wallet
- 8:01Speaker 1: tied to the Xbox platform. Again, this just shows more
- 8:04Speaker 1: I think density in terms of how Microsoft is looking
- 8:07Speaker 1: at their entire business stack, whether it's enterprise, gaming, Web three, retail,
- 8:12Speaker 1: e commerce, all that plays into Microsoft's future. So with
- 8:17Speaker 1: all that being said, I want to flip over to
- 8:18Speaker 1: a clip real quick, because this is M twelve. They're
- 8:21Speaker 1: venture fund and an investment they made in a company
- 8:25Speaker 1: and a project called Space and Time. Take a look.
- 8:28Speaker 4: I'm twelve is Microsoft's venture fund, and we are dedicated
- 8:31Speaker 4: to investing in the best companies and identifying new innovation
- 8:35Speaker 4: trends ahead of the curve. For Microsoft, Space and Time
- 8:38Speaker 4: is the leading Web three database provider. M twelve has
- 8:41Speaker 4: been an incredible partner for us. They're great at opening doors,
- 8:45Speaker 4: They're great at pushing your strategy and your roadmap through
- 8:47Speaker 4: the ecosystem. They're driving most of the enterprise adoption around
- 8:52Speaker 4: data processing.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Here.
- 8:53Speaker 5: Space and Time is a blockchain for zkproven data and
- 8:56Speaker 5: all that means is this massive database that collects every
- 9:00Speaker 5: piece of data from every major chain, talking hundreds of
- 9:02Speaker 5: terabytes of data, any data from ethereum, any da from
- 9:05Speaker 5: Bitcoin Polygon, Zeke Sink, you name. It can be proven
- 9:08Speaker 5: to clients that need it. Every AI agent that's going
- 9:11Speaker 5: to someday transact on chain or beginning to chat on
- 9:13Speaker 5: transact on chain needs this data. They need context about
- 9:16Speaker 5: what's happening on chain.
- 9:18Speaker 1: All right. So again, data company Microsoft one of the
- 9:21Speaker 1: largest out there. This could be the advantage that they
- 9:24Speaker 1: need to be able to kind of lead Silicon Valley
- 9:27Speaker 1: out and I think you know many of these companies
- 9:29Speaker 1: are looking for it, whether it's AI, blockchain and really
- 9:33Speaker 1: kind of this next evolution. So Microsoft could be on
- 9:35Speaker 1: the precipice of something very special around the ecosystem. Last
- 9:40Speaker 1: up here, I want to hit on something. This is
- 9:42Speaker 1: Karen Scarborough. This is the lady you just saw on
- 9:44Speaker 1: the clip earlier. She's talking about an RFQ. This is
- 9:47Speaker 1: a request for quote for the Wyoming stable Coin token
- 9:49Speaker 1: Commission closing on December twelfth. Everybody building on ETH and
- 9:52Speaker 1: relevant l twos should be looking at this and submitting
- 9:55Speaker 1: where relevant as soon as possible. And this is done
- 9:59Speaker 1: in a way in this What we've talked about this
- 10:01Speaker 1: before on the Wyoming stable coin is we think that
- 10:03Speaker 1: it most likely is going to be one of two potentials.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Go back and watch our videos on this, but we
- 10:07Speaker 1: think ETH will be involved, possibly Avalanche. There's a handful
- 10:11Speaker 1: that could be tied in to wear the stable coin.
- 10:13Speaker 1: And this is important because it's going to start setting
- 10:16Speaker 1: the standard for a lot of different entities. Further into that,
- 10:20Speaker 1: I want to go to one more clip, and this
- 10:21Speaker 1: is Kathy Wood maybe revealing something. Take a look.
- 10:26Speaker 6: We've been involved with bitcoin since it was two hundred
- 10:29Speaker 6: and fifty dollars in twenty fifteen when we wrote our
- 10:33Speaker 6: first white paper on bitcoin, ringing the bell for a
- 10:37Speaker 6: new asset class. How big could that be?
- 10:40Speaker 3: And so we think it could become two to five
- 10:44Speaker 3: or six percent of portfolios. Gold is a fifteen trillion
- 10:49Speaker 3: dollar asset and we are looking forward to sharing more
- 10:54Speaker 3: papers about the two other digital asset revolutions, the financial
- 11:00Speaker 3: services revolution and the digital.
- 11:04Speaker 6: Asset property rights revolution. Now that is a big idea.
- 11:11Speaker 1: All right, So what Kathy Wood is talking about is
- 11:13Speaker 1: really drilling down into ethereum in the ecosystem there. Obviously,
- 11:17Speaker 1: this is all going to apply to a lot of
- 11:19Speaker 1: digital asset classes that ARC of course is starting to
- 11:23Speaker 1: build on. And remember ARC has already done a lot
- 11:26Speaker 1: of these forward thinking reports, a lot of those kind
- 11:28Speaker 1: of things. So we're going to be watching very closely
- 11:30Speaker 1: because I anticipate she's probably going to drop something out there,
- 11:33Speaker 1: and I think it's going to be an eth ecosystem,
- 11:35Speaker 1: possibly a Salana, maybe an avalanche ecosystem connection showing the
- 11:40Speaker 1: path forward on where all of this is going. You
- 11:43Speaker 1: guys should stick around to catch all of that, and
- 11:45Speaker 1: the way you do that is subscribe to the channel
