- 5:27Speaker 2: Not a beer, but that's kind of a weird.
- 5:31Speaker 1: No, I'm not a beer for the first time.
- 5:34Speaker 2: I have so and I believe he's still ow to folks,
- 5:37Speaker 2: a mustache.
- 5:38Speaker 1: At some point, I should have just shaved it all
- 5:41Speaker 1: and just left the mustache. When you're in the mountains,
- 5:45Speaker 1: you could do things like that.
- 5:46Speaker 2: Glenn, Glenn.
- 5:50Speaker 1: And uh peach sister's kitchen.
- 5:54Speaker 2: How are you awesome?
- 5:56Speaker 1: I believe I believe it's her correct me from wrong,
- 6:02Speaker 1: found us from out of the blank, so it is
- 6:04Speaker 1: shout out Robbie. She is a she, she's a sheet
- 6:09Speaker 1: and Ruby is over there. Hold on, let me sitting
- 6:19Speaker 1: on the couch.
- 6:20Speaker 2: Oh yeah, check her out.
- 6:23Speaker 1: She has a bone and she's hanging jack.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Ruby used to love to hang on the couch too.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Yeah in home kripper's legs. Yeah, yes, all right, So
- 6:37Speaker 2: without further ado, folks, let's get right into things. We
- 6:41Speaker 2: got a packed show for you this evening. We're gonna
- 6:45Speaker 2: jump around, jump around because we came to get down.
- 6:50Speaker 2: So let's start it off with this and talk a
- 6:54Speaker 2: little bit about this card right here, Joe. Okay, I've
- 7:05Speaker 2: never seen this card before in the process of my
- 7:08Speaker 2: researching some of Oswall's identification that he had on it
- 7:13Speaker 2: when he was arrested. But this is basically a laminated
- 7:18Speaker 2: pocket size certificate of service. This is to certify that
- 7:23Speaker 2: Lee Harvey Oswald whatever number that is honorably served on
- 7:28Speaker 2: active duty in the United States Marine Corps.
- 7:32Speaker 1: A right.
- 7:32Speaker 2: So obviously this was issued excuse me, when he got
- 7:36Speaker 2: his honorable hardship discharge.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Yes, from the Marguerite situation, which we had gone over
- 7:48Speaker 1: a couple of episodes ago.
- 7:50Speaker 2: Yeah. So basically this is a card, you know, you
- 7:52Speaker 2: could show, like potential employers, say, hey, I served honorably
- 7:55Speaker 2: served in the Marine Corps. I'm a veteran, blah blah blah.
- 8:00Speaker 2: And then there's this one. Okay, now this is the
- 8:07Speaker 2: one I want to talk about because this one intrigues me.
- 8:14Speaker 2: So this one expired on December the seventh, nineteen sixty two,
- 8:24Speaker 2: and okay, I would have to check. Let me see
- 8:29Speaker 2: if I have the.
- 8:32Speaker 1: He got back on the mass Dam on June of
- 8:35Speaker 1: sixty two from New York, I believe. Yeah, so it's
- 8:40Speaker 1: about six months ish later.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Interesting okay, okay, So Oswald was issued the identity card
- 8:47Speaker 2: by the US Marine Corps on September eleventh, nineteen fifty nine,
- 8:52Speaker 2: so his date of discharge nine days after his request
- 8:57Speaker 2: for a dependency discharge from the Corps was approved. And
- 9:04Speaker 2: I believe I at the back of this card here,
- 9:10Speaker 2: so this was issued. Interestingly, there is the date up there,
- 9:13Speaker 2: eleven September fifty nine. It was issued at Santa ann At, California,
- 9:17Speaker 2: at El Toro. So he was given this identification when
- 9:26Speaker 2: he was discharged honorably hardship from the Marine Corps. But
- 9:32Speaker 2: now to jump back to this photo. If you notice
- 9:36Speaker 2: Joe and a lot of people have thought that maybe
- 9:40Speaker 2: that Department of Defense insignia was a stamp, but it's not.
- 9:45Speaker 2: It's part of the card, okay.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Standard for similar marines.
- 9:51Speaker 2: Yeah, but look at if you notice to the left
- 9:57Speaker 2: of that insignia there is a postage stamp, like not
- 10:04Speaker 2: like a mailing stamp, but a you know, a postal stamp.
- 10:08Speaker 1: Yeah, you know, second circle to the left of the
- 10:11Speaker 1: main circle right right now.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Normally it will have the area that it was mailed
- 10:22Speaker 2: from stamped on there and the date. And you can
- 10:29Speaker 2: very clearly see that it was mailed October twenty third,
- 10:35Speaker 2: nineteen sixty three, and obviously was mailed to Oswald because
- 10:42Speaker 2: he had the ID on him when arrested. Now, what
- 10:49Speaker 2: doesn't make sense, all right? You know how much this
- 10:52Speaker 2: dude moved around, Okay, I mean he was bouncing back,
- 10:57Speaker 2: and you know, he was moving between apartments, between states,
- 11:00Speaker 2: between cities, going from you know, addresses to po boxes
- 11:04Speaker 2: in New Orleans and Dallas. And unless they possibly mailed this, well,
- 11:16Speaker 2: I mean his mother was moving around too, So I
- 11:18Speaker 2: don't know how they got this card to Oswald. Do
- 11:25Speaker 2: you have any idea, Joe, Well, you ever heard this was?
- 11:34Speaker 2: Was he in Russia at the time in October of
- 11:38Speaker 2: sixty three?
- 11:40Speaker 1: No, no, okay, I have no idea, sir. No.
- 11:48Speaker 2: So it's postmark LIKEX said. October twenty third, nineteen sixty three.
- 11:54Speaker 2: This is less than a month before the assassination. Five
- 12:02Speaker 2: weeks after receiving the card, issued at El Toro Naval
- 12:05Speaker 2: Air Station in Santa Anna, Oswald crossed the Finish Soviet
- 12:09Speaker 2: border on his way to Moscow. Two weeks later, he
- 12:13Speaker 2: announced his intention to defect the Soviet Union. Oswald's military
- 12:17Speaker 2: record notes the Identity card was issued in accordance with
- 12:20Speaker 2: paragraph three zero one four point five prim Personnel Records
- 12:24Speaker 2: and Accounting Manual. However, this paragraph pertains only to the
- 12:29Speaker 2: issuance of USMC member cards and does not apply to
- 12:32Speaker 2: this card, which is a designated d D Department of
- 12:35Speaker 2: Defense eleven seventy three card. The appropriate card for the
- 12:39Speaker 2: discharge Oswald, as stipulated by the PRIAM, would have been
- 12:43Speaker 2: the two MC res, reflecting his new status in the
- 12:47Speaker 2: Ready Reserve. A Lieutenant Kim Miller, who's a Washington spokesperson
- 12:53Speaker 2: for the Marines, said Oswald could have been issued at
- 12:56Speaker 2: d D eleven seventy three for one of two reasons.
- 12:59Speaker 2: One one because of an injury while on active duty,
- 13:02Speaker 2: entitling him to medical privileges Okay. The other the only
- 13:07Speaker 2: other reason he could have been issued this ID is
- 13:10Speaker 2: because he was a civilian employee overseas needing a military ID. Okay,
- 13:23Speaker 2: but the records do not show an injury to Oswald
- 13:28Speaker 2: while on active duty then entitled him to any medical
- 13:31Speaker 2: privileges after his service, Okay, unless you count gonarrhea. Right. Yeah.
- 13:38Speaker 1: And also, we had discussed a few episodes ago when
- 13:41Speaker 1: we were talking about Oswald in the Marines and analyzing
- 13:47Speaker 1: some of his Marine Corps buddy statements, he had accidentally
- 13:52Speaker 1: discharged the gun. Either it was.
- 13:54Speaker 2: Like, yeah, but he didn't have any lasting effects.
- 13:59Speaker 1: It wasn't a yes, yes, it wasn't a reason for discharge,
- 14:03Speaker 1: right yeah.
- 14:04Speaker 2: The only reason he would have been given this card
- 14:06Speaker 2: is if if he got an injury while on active
- 14:11Speaker 2: duty that he needed to have medical coverage for when
- 14:14Speaker 2: he got out, which he didn't. So the only other option,
- 14:18Speaker 2: Joe is he was a civilian employee overseas needing a
- 14:22Speaker 2: military ID. So but of course official records don't show
- 14:34Speaker 2: that Oswald was a civilian employee who needed a military ID,
- 14:40Speaker 2: at least not in the official record, but maybe unofficially
- 14:45Speaker 2: he did. Timber, Hey, dam how are you? A similar
- 14:53Speaker 2: finding was reached by Dennis Vitock, reference historian of the
- 14:56Speaker 2: US Army Military History Institute of car Pennsylvania. He notes
- 15:01Speaker 2: issuance of dB eleven seventy three was regulated under Department
- 15:05Speaker 2: of Defense guidelines at the time Oswald received his card.
- 15:09Speaker 2: These guidelines limited recipients of such cards largely to military
- 15:13Speaker 2: dependence and civilians who require military identification. If such a
- 15:18Speaker 2: card was issued in error, says Vita, it wouldn't have
- 15:21Speaker 2: been authorized, and immediately upon being called to official attention
- 15:25Speaker 2: would have been changed or revoked. There is no evidence
- 15:30Speaker 2: Oswald's identity card was revoked even after he defected, threatened
- 15:34Speaker 2: to provide military secrets to the Russians, and received an
- 15:37Speaker 2: undesirable discharge from the Marine Corps in nineteen sixty Oswald's
- 15:42Speaker 2: card did not expire until December seventh, nineteen sixty two.
- 15:49Speaker 2: So in this card, okay, it doesn't have an address
- 15:56Speaker 2: on the front or the.
- 15:57Speaker 1: Back, doesn't seem like to be doesn't seem like there's
- 16:01Speaker 1: a slot for it either.
- 16:04Speaker 2: So how would somebody Maybe he lost it in the street, okay,
- 16:12Speaker 2: and you know, just like a library card, you can
- 16:14Speaker 2: drop it, you know, in the mailbox if it has
- 16:18Speaker 2: an address on it, and they'll get it to him. Yeah,
- 16:21Speaker 2: but I don't know how that works with the military.
- 16:24Speaker 2: As much as he moved around, maybe from him bothering
- 16:30Speaker 2: them with his correspondence about his dishonorable discharge, they may
- 16:35Speaker 2: have had an address for him. That's the only thing
- 16:37Speaker 2: I can think of. Unless he left this card in
- 16:42Speaker 2: Russia and they mailed it back to him when he left. Huh,
- 16:47Speaker 2: but they would have had to wait. It would have
- 16:50Speaker 2: been over a year later, so that doesn't make sense either.
- 16:54Speaker 1: Yeah, I would have been expired by that point as well,
- 16:57Speaker 1: so I'm not sure if.
- 16:58Speaker 2: I see like the Russians going through the Yeah, and
- 17:02Speaker 2: why would the military male Oswald a defunct expired military
- 17:10Speaker 2: ID makes no sense whatsoever? It doesn't now. We saw
- 17:20Speaker 2: that one, right, mm hm. There was also this infamous
- 17:28Speaker 2: I D which is not quite the same thing as
- 17:32Speaker 2: an official military ID. This is, you know, when you
- 17:36Speaker 2: turn eighteen and you have to register with selective service.
- 17:42Speaker 2: You know even back then you had to as well.
- 17:48Speaker 2: But the ideas of course have the same picture. And
- 17:54Speaker 2: what's interesting, Joe, is that the picture was taken when
- 18:02Speaker 2: Oswald was allegedly in Minsk.
- 18:07Speaker 1: This selective service picture that is on the screen. Now, yeah, okay,
- 18:14Speaker 1: but here's the conundrum, Joe. The name No, that exact
- 18:20Speaker 1: same picture is on Oswald's military ID. There was issue
- 18:25Speaker 1: December seventh, or I'm sorry, in nineteen fifty nine, after
- 18:31Speaker 1: or before he went to Russia, unless I've also read
- 18:37Speaker 1: that sometimes maybe this ID doesn't have a picture on it,
- 18:42Speaker 1: or maybe he had an old picture on there that
- 18:44Speaker 1: he covered over with this one. For some reason, it
- 18:51Speaker 1: seems like the stamp the circle to the left of
- 18:55Speaker 1: the circle in the center is a on top of
- 19:01Speaker 1: the photograph right right. Hmm. And can you go back
- 19:12Speaker 1: to the other one first?
- 19:14Speaker 2: Yeah, this is the Alec James Hodell Selective Service card.
- 19:19Speaker 1: Go back to the previous one. I don't think that's
- 19:21Speaker 1: the same picture.
- 19:24Speaker 2: It's the same picture. Bro go back, Uh is it?
- 19:31Speaker 1: Let's as the chance.
- 19:37Speaker 2: So this is what Wesley ja Leebler said for the
- 19:40Speaker 2: Warren Commission Council. Two things seem odd the picture identified
- 19:44Speaker 2: as Oswald and Minsk and on the postmark on the
- 19:47Speaker 2: defense card. The postmark implies the Defense Department either mailed
- 19:52Speaker 2: it back to him or gave it to him at
- 19:54Speaker 2: some time.
- 19:58Speaker 1: They probably mailed it back.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Right Researcher Paul Hawk, Yeah, but how would they know
- 20:03Speaker 2: where he is? Researcher Paul Hawk of Berkeley, California attempted
- 20:08Speaker 2: to discover the significance of Oswald's DD form eleven seventy
- 20:12Speaker 2: three as early as nineteen seventy four. Today, he says
- 20:15Speaker 2: the HSCA attempted to the possibility that Oswald had been
- 20:19Speaker 2: working with the US government after he left the Marines.
- 20:22Speaker 2: But as far as we know, they didn't deal with
- 20:24Speaker 2: this card. It may have been a missing element they
- 20:27Speaker 2: can tie Oswald back to working for the government. Now,
- 20:35Speaker 2: what's interesting is the original card. I mean, this is
- 20:38Speaker 2: the original card, but this is this is the card
- 20:42Speaker 2: before the FBI got a hold of it. This is
- 20:46Speaker 2: what it looks like after the FBI got a hold
- 20:48Speaker 2: of it too. Oh, they totally obliterated. Now this, of
- 20:57Speaker 2: course is a color photo of you know, the other one,
- 20:59Speaker 2: a black and white photo. But this is what it
- 21:00Speaker 2: looks like in color.
- 21:02Speaker 1: Wait is this his blood because it was in his pocket?
- 21:04Speaker 1: Or no? No, no, he would have No.
- 21:07Speaker 2: It's some kind of testing some some kind of testing thing.
- 21:11Speaker 1: It says, here to the previous just and go back
- 21:15Speaker 1: and forth real quick. Do what go back to the
- 21:19Speaker 1: previous one and then yeah, and then go back to
- 21:23Speaker 1: what you just had. Got it? Thank you?
- 21:27Speaker 2: So, Sue McDonough the National Archive says the card was
- 21:30Speaker 2: nearly obliterated by FBI testing. The color, the image, the printing,
- 21:35Speaker 2: everything is pretty much gone and ruined. You couldn't use
- 21:38Speaker 2: it to show anything. So the FBI retorted this woman
- 21:45Speaker 2: and uh, they basically, said FBI spokesman Bill Carter of
- 21:49Speaker 2: the Public Affairs Office in Washington, asked, how does she
- 21:53Speaker 2: know it was tested by the FBI? Does she have
- 21:56Speaker 2: a report? She says, who else but the FBI would
- 21:59Speaker 2: have done it. She is that there are no pictures
- 22:02Speaker 2: of the card in its unobliterated state in the archives.
- 22:06Speaker 2: According to Assassination researcher David Lifton, there is no mention
- 22:09Speaker 2: of d D eleven seventy no excuse me, eleven seventy
- 22:12Speaker 2: three in any FBI testing reports he's reviewed. These include
- 22:17Speaker 2: non publish Commission documents, FBI Dallas Field Officer reports, and
- 22:21Speaker 2: FBI summary reports to the Warren Commission. The same photo
- 22:25Speaker 2: of Oswald on d D eleven seventy three also appeared
- 22:29Speaker 2: in the Warren Report Cadigan Exhibit fifteen on the phony
- 22:35Speaker 2: Selective Service classification card found in Oswald's possession, with the
- 22:39Speaker 2: name Alec James Haddell. So there you have it. It's
- 22:44Speaker 2: the same picture allegedly taken immense as this one. Now,
- 23:01Speaker 2: this is no official military or anything ID. This is
- 23:04Speaker 2: basically your selective service card that all all young men
- 23:10Speaker 2: even still today. You you know you have to register
- 23:13Speaker 2: for selective service in case there's a draft.
- 23:17Speaker 1: I never did that.
- 23:19Speaker 2: Yeah you did. You had to. It's the law. So
- 23:23Speaker 2: you probably a lot of people do it when they
- 23:25Speaker 2: at the DMV, when they get their license, when they
- 23:27Speaker 2: turn sixteen or seventeen.
- 23:32Speaker 1: Got it.
- 23:36Speaker 2: But yeah, it's just it's just another weird piece of
- 23:43Speaker 2: the puzzle, you know. The October twenty third, sixty three
- 23:49Speaker 2: postmark on Oswald's d D identity card is a further enigma.
- 23:54Speaker 2: I found dropping any mailbox. The cards reverse side instructs,
- 24:00Speaker 2: then tels the postmaster returned to the Department of Defense, Washington, Washington,
- 24:04Speaker 2: twenty five. Joe DC, Yes, Sir. Reached at Notre Dame University,
- 24:10Speaker 2: where he now teaches. Robert Blakey, former General Counselor for
- 24:14Speaker 2: the HSCA, considered the possibility that the card was lost
- 24:17Speaker 2: dropped in the mail, postmarked and delivered to the Department
- 24:21Speaker 2: of Defense. In that case, the Defense would have had
- 24:24Speaker 2: to have given it back to Oswald. Interesting, but they
- 24:29Speaker 2: would also needed to know where in the hell Oswald
- 24:33Speaker 2: was living in October nineteen sixty three. Okay, and he
- 24:42Speaker 2: was living where Joe in October of sixty three.
- 24:45Speaker 1: Oh my god, put me on the spot.
- 24:48Speaker 2: I mean, this is worth no who Beckley Beckley Street.
- 24:54Speaker 1: October, I thought, Man sixty two.
- 24:56Speaker 2: I'm sorry, no, no, no, yes, yes, not even Marina
- 25:02Speaker 2: knew where he was living or Ruth this time. He
- 25:05Speaker 2: was living there under an alias. So how in the
- 25:09Speaker 2: hell did the Department of Defense get this thing back
- 25:13Speaker 2: to Oswald unless he was reporting to some government agent
- 25:20Speaker 2: agency like the FBI as an informant where they could
- 25:24Speaker 2: have gotten this card back to him. But again, at
- 25:26Speaker 2: this point, it's expired, it's useless. What's the point. Well,
- 25:34Speaker 2: and it had been altered because he put a new
- 25:36Speaker 2: picture on it. It's just all fukery of the highest order.
- 25:46Speaker 1: Yeah. And it's Hedel's name too on the Selective Service card, right,
- 25:51Speaker 1: so it's as alias.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Why don't you want to get into debate, debate and
- 25:57Speaker 2: all that.
- 25:59Speaker 1: That's a whole another can of worms, this high day idea,
- 26:04Speaker 1: of course, But it's you said why and was it too?
- 26:10Speaker 1: And I'm completely speculating here. It wasn't to maybe establish
- 26:15Speaker 1: his alias as a something that had his face on
- 26:20Speaker 1: it type of.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Thing, there would have been no point to it. Like
- 26:27Speaker 2: I said, it's been inspired for over a year at
- 26:29Speaker 2: this point it had been altered. They didn't know where
- 26:33Speaker 2: he was allegedly, and again, only somebody with this I
- 26:40Speaker 2: d I mean, he shouldn't have had this idea to
- 26:43Speaker 2: begin with unless he was a civilian employee that required
- 26:46Speaker 2: military identification in a foreign country, which he was in
- 26:53Speaker 2: a foreign country during the time that this idea was valid.
- 27:00Speaker 2: So just putting it out there, Joe, I don't know
- 27:03Speaker 2: what it means, and I don't know a lot of
- 27:06Speaker 2: these answers to the questions I'm asking.
- 27:11Speaker 1: But I don't know either, sir, And that's why I
- 27:15Speaker 1: was kind of guessing. But yeah, it's perplexing for sure.
- 27:22Speaker 2: All right, well let's make like uh, let's make like
- 27:25Speaker 2: Guy Banister and get into Delphine Roberts Joe.
- 27:33Speaker 1: Pun intended or what.
- 27:34Speaker 2: I had so many good titles for this episode that
- 27:39Speaker 2: I could have put up there, but I you know,
- 27:41Speaker 2: I just didn't. I didn't want a Janet to beat
- 27:45Speaker 2: me next time she's swam. Uh.
- 27:50Speaker 1: Well, yeah, so my idea, I'm.
- 27:52Speaker 2: He sportched a good name of Guy Banister, Yes.
- 27:56Speaker 1: For sure. So when I was looking at reading some
- 28:02Speaker 1: of the comments from last episode on our YouTube with
- 28:05Speaker 1: Janet Banister, the niece of Guy Banister, an amazing episode.
- 28:10Speaker 1: If you guys haven't listened to it, I strongly suggest
- 28:15Speaker 1: you go back. And she had mentioned Delphine Roberts had
- 28:20Speaker 1: come up, and she had mentioned her statements kind of
- 28:25Speaker 1: changed over time. And she wasn't obviously interviewed by the
- 28:33Speaker 1: Warrant Commission, as Guy Banister was nowhere near the Warren Commission,
- 28:40Speaker 1: but she was by mister Jim Garrison in nineteen sixty
- 28:45Speaker 1: seven and later by the HSCA and researcher and author
- 28:53Speaker 1: Anthony Summers. And when Jana had brought up like her
- 28:57Speaker 1: statements had changed over time, I honestly like, wasn't sure.
- 29:01Speaker 1: I was like, did they? Because you know, you can't
- 29:06Speaker 1: be a next word on everything. So that led my
- 29:10Speaker 1: little idea for a segment here to look at some
- 29:15Speaker 1: of Delphine Roberts's statements over time. We thought that'd be
- 29:21Speaker 1: very interesting and give some more context to the Guy
- 29:26Speaker 1: Banished narrative that we spent last week on. So let's go.
- 29:40Speaker 1: Let me bring it up here. And before we get
- 29:43Speaker 1: into it, we, of course, Rob have to tell everyone
- 29:48Speaker 1: that Lancer November in Dallas is coming up November twenty
- 29:54Speaker 1: second to twenty fourth this year. It's actually like bang it,
- 30:00Speaker 1: I know, two months away, right less? Yeah, two months
- 30:07Speaker 1: the lesson two months.
- 30:08Speaker 2: So get your tickets now, even if you're not going
- 30:10Speaker 2: to Dallas. You can watch it online. Yeah, virtually, you know,
- 30:14Speaker 2: from the comfort of your home, own home, and use
- 30:17Speaker 2: our code Gunman ten for ten percent off of your tickets.
- 30:21Speaker 2: The link is in the description for this here show below.
- 30:25Speaker 2: Just click the more button and a whole plethora of
- 30:28Speaker 2: links that you need in your life will open up
- 30:30Speaker 2: for you.
- 30:33Speaker 1: Yes, sir and uh, I will be in Dallas this year.
- 30:37Speaker 1: I'll be presenting and I guess you know, Rob, I'm
- 30:41Speaker 1: gonna drop it. I'm gonna drop the knowledge here and
- 30:46Speaker 1: you know this, But who will I be presenting with
- 30:52Speaker 1: a fellow Skafuza.
- 30:56Speaker 2: Well, I already know the answer to this, Joe Us.
- 30:59Speaker 1: Well, it is mister Douglas Craig. I gave a couple
- 31:04Speaker 1: of hints a few weeks ago. We are going to
- 31:07Speaker 1: be presenting together and we have something.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Really Doug Douglas Craig.
- 31:13Speaker 1: Douglas Craig, Oh my god, Campbell Douglas Craig is another
- 31:18Speaker 1: friend of mine. Oh my god, mister Douglas Campbell of
- 31:23Speaker 1: the Dallas Action and Quick Hits. Of course.
- 31:28Speaker 2: He's gonna beat you with his leather jacket for that.
- 31:30Speaker 1: I know, I know, it's so funny. I named my
- 31:34Speaker 1: friend that he'd probably would be pacified named his name
- 31:37Speaker 1: on the pocket. But Douglas and we are talking about
- 31:44Speaker 1: something in regards to Cuba, and tune in in the
- 31:48Speaker 1: coming weeks to get some more hints on that. But yeah,
- 31:52Speaker 1: if you're gonna be there, definitely use the code. If
- 31:56Speaker 1: we're gonna be virtual, definitely use Gunman ten and save
- 32:07Speaker 1: some money.
- 32:07Speaker 2: So yeah, use the code.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Joke it's free taco, Yeah, yeah on taco truck. Yeah,
- 32:14Speaker 1: save a few bucks, buy me and drink, pay for
- 32:18Speaker 1: an uber to Dale or whatever. And I'm just.
- 32:25Speaker 2: The cool thing. Rob is that.
- 32:29Speaker 1: This year the twenty second is actually I'm there for it.
- 32:35Speaker 1: Last year it was a Monday, I believe, so I
- 32:39Speaker 1: had to leave like a day before and they had
- 32:41Speaker 1: all those Dealey Plaza like events where everyone goes there
- 32:44Speaker 1: and the moment of silence and I think the limo
- 32:48Speaker 1: still goes by. So I missed that last year. And
- 32:54Speaker 1: this year it's on a Friday and it's going to
- 32:56Speaker 1: be epic, and we hope to see at least the
- 32:59Speaker 1: people that are local in Texas there. And before I
- 33:06Speaker 1: continue Silk City, look at this tweet a couple of
- 33:10Speaker 1: days ago.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Rob, Oh, it looks delicious.
- 33:13Speaker 1: And that's what I love about Silk City. They actually
- 33:17Speaker 1: have like use their own.
- 33:19Speaker 2: Ingredients locally grown.
- 33:22Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Brenchley storesed peppers and fruits, oh my god.
- 33:27Speaker 1: Yeah. And and the Jeff is a friend of the show.
- 33:31Speaker 1: He listens. You know, it's just great to get that uh,
- 33:37Speaker 1: that hot sauce that is not tainted by the government.
- 33:41Speaker 1: And Rob, for once, I actually remembered to bring Silk
- 33:46Speaker 1: City with me when I came up here.
- 33:49Speaker 2: Well you're exiled, yes.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Catskill exile me. And Ruby is sleeping pretty well over there.
- 33:59Speaker 1: So all right, let's get onto it. Delphine Roberts, So
- 34:05Speaker 1: this is from the Grand Jerry. Yes, the oh my god,
- 34:22Speaker 1: the Jim Garrison files and that Rob and I acquired earlier.
- 34:30Speaker 1: And I'm gonna this is her one of her first interviews.
- 34:33Speaker 1: This is January nineteenth, nineteen sixty seven. This is Delphine Roberts.
- 34:38Speaker 1: I was associated with Guy Banister starting around March nineteen
- 34:41Speaker 1: sixty two. In the capacity of a confidential secretary. Wait wait, yeah,
- 34:50Speaker 1: but why would you have to say confidential secretary. That's
- 34:54Speaker 1: very interesting to me because it's a secret Joe, yes, exactly.
- 35:01Speaker 1: Later Guy trade me to be an executive and I
- 35:06Speaker 1: was officially the treasurer of Guy Banished and Associates, Incorporated
- 35:11Speaker 1: up until the time of his death June sixth, nineteen
- 35:14Speaker 1: sixty four. During the time of my association with mister
- 35:19Speaker 1: Banister's office, I had occasion to be introduced to about
- 35:24Speaker 1: six Cubans who were interested in overthrowing castro. That is
- 35:30Speaker 1: how he introduced us. They went into mister Banister's office
- 35:35Speaker 1: and closed the door and conversation took place. But I
- 35:40Speaker 1: didn't listen too. I was busy, so I don't know
- 35:44Speaker 1: exactly what took place. Later, I had occasioned to see
- 35:48Speaker 1: the same men at that At the time, there were
- 35:55Speaker 1: ten in an office in the ball To building, either
- 35:58Speaker 1: the second or third floor. The least expensive office either
- 36:03Speaker 1: twenty five a week or month rent. And that's a
- 36:07Speaker 1: big difference. Twenty five a week or twenty five a month.
- 36:11Speaker 1: It's either two hundred and fifty ish a week or
- 36:19Speaker 1: a thousand a week. So that's a big difference Delphine.
- 36:23Speaker 1: As I passed this office, going in the direction of
- 36:26Speaker 1: Camp Street, the office was on the right hand side.
- 36:29Speaker 1: I was on the verge of entering Richard's office. I
- 36:32Speaker 1: don't recall his last name. He was from Honduras, not
- 36:36Speaker 1: a nationalized citizen, and was in the export business, and
- 36:41Speaker 1: his work carried him down to Honduras and Guatemala quite frequently. Okay,
- 36:48Speaker 1: I don't know who this Richard is, but if he's
- 36:51Speaker 1: in the export business in Guatemala and Honduras, I will
- 36:58Speaker 1: pretty safe to say were what he was probably associated with,
- 37:06Speaker 1: export business being a big giveaway there. When I reached
- 37:11Speaker 1: Guy's office, I was surprised to see that the same
- 37:16Speaker 1: hold on that they knew Richard. Okay, she goes on
- 37:19Speaker 1: on some other stuff here that's not really relevant. This
- 37:23Speaker 1: is a kind of a summary from the Garrison investigators.
- 37:28Speaker 1: Delphine was alleged to be very intimate with Banister, as
- 37:32Speaker 1: well as being a firm backer to him in his work.
- 37:35Speaker 2: I bet she won yep.
- 37:38Speaker 1: And I came across a few documents rob in the
- 37:43Speaker 1: in nineteen sixty two where she was picketing and protesting
- 37:50Speaker 1: the I believe it was the African American who was
- 37:56Speaker 1: granted permission to study at one of those universities. So
- 38:05Speaker 1: she was out there picketing, and.
- 38:07Speaker 2: There were some FBI rumor, has it, Joe yep, that
- 38:13Speaker 2: Delphine was the one that gave bands to the heart attack.
- 38:18Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying. It's just a dirty rumor
- 38:22Speaker 2: that's out there, folks. I'm not making things up.
- 38:24Speaker 1: But yeah, no, I have heard that.
- 38:28Speaker 2: I heard he died happy.
- 38:31Speaker 1: And we're actually gonna read a little bit of Delphine's
- 38:35Speaker 1: statement on when she found guy Banister, because she was
- 38:40Speaker 1: actually calling him and he didn't pick up, and then
- 38:44Speaker 1: she went to his apartment to find him dead. According
- 38:47Speaker 1: to her, but she along, she brought witnesses, and she said,
- 38:54Speaker 1: I wanted people to come with me. And it's a
- 39:00Speaker 1: it was a fellow FBI agent that name of Nitski
- 39:06Speaker 1: nit that. Yeah, that guy had worked with in Reno, Nevada,
- 39:15Speaker 1: or had transferred from Reno, Nevada and and gone there.
- 39:20Speaker 1: It will come up in the document soon. But there's
- 39:22Speaker 1: a lot of weird things going on here. And so
- 39:29Speaker 1: miss Decker was a friend of Delphine Roberts, and she
- 39:32Speaker 1: stated that Banister had been wait call let me back up.
- 39:43Speaker 1: Memo dated December twenty ninth from Ward mentions Delphine Roberts
- 39:47Speaker 1: as a person having found Banister dead in his apartment
- 39:50Speaker 1: and having removed some material from his apartment at the time,
- 39:55Speaker 1: is going to be key people his files, right. We've
- 39:57Speaker 1: all heard about Banister's files, and of course that was
- 40:01Speaker 1: the basis of the altercation with Jack Martin aka Edward
- 40:09Speaker 1: Suggs on November twenty second, sixty three, famously portrayed in
- 40:13Speaker 1: the JFK movie. It was about his files. But when
- 40:17Speaker 1: Banister died, his files, yeah, they went somewhere. And Miss
- 40:24Speaker 1: Decker further stated that Banister had been far behind in
- 40:27Speaker 1: the payment of his rent for the office and that
- 40:29Speaker 1: soon after his death the landlord of the building had
- 40:33Speaker 1: seen some of his furnishings and material as payment for
- 40:36Speaker 1: the Linquid account. Interesting, and this is a nineteen sixty
- 40:46Speaker 1: seven from January thirty first document to Jim Garrison from
- 40:53Speaker 1: one of his investigators that I'm actually not super familiar
- 40:57Speaker 1: with lester Otilio about Vernon G. Gardess and let's see
- 41:07Speaker 1: what he was an associate and friend of Guy Banister
- 41:12Speaker 1: and Miss Decker who I just talked about felt that
- 41:16Speaker 1: he would be a good man to or she would
- 41:18Speaker 1: be a good person to talk about about Banister's files.
- 41:21Speaker 1: So let's see what she has to say, or mister
- 41:25Speaker 1: Vernon Guardess has to say. Do you think Banister was
- 41:29Speaker 1: a radical? And again this is Garrison investigators questioning an
- 41:37Speaker 1: associate of Guy Banister. No, he wasn't a radical, but
- 41:41Speaker 1: he did hate communism with a passion. Have you ever
- 41:46Speaker 1: seen Lincoan Rockwell? And that is, of course a member
- 41:53Speaker 1: of the bad German Party.
- 41:56Speaker 2: Right, Rob, Yes, the American bad German Party.
- 42:03Speaker 1: Right, Yes, gotta be careful here on the tube.
- 42:09Speaker 2: Yes.
- 42:09Speaker 1: And Banish's office once Delphine Roberts and I waited outside.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Who was Delphine Roberts? Delphine Roberts was Banish's girlfriend. I
- 42:21Speaker 1: believe that they had an affair going because Banister once
- 42:24Speaker 1: spoke of divorce from his wife. Do you know where
- 42:31Speaker 1: Delphine Roberts lives now? No? But I knew she lived
- 42:35Speaker 1: on the lake front.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Yeah, I guess she just happened to live on a lake.
- 42:39Speaker 2: Punch cream imagine that, all right?
- 42:44Speaker 1: And all the gin joints in all in all the world, right, Uh?
- 42:50Speaker 1: What kind of person was Delphine Roberts Radical way out?
- 42:57Speaker 1: I think she was a nut. So I'm not pause
- 43:02Speaker 1: right there.
- 43:02Speaker 2: You know what they say about the crazy ones, Joe,
- 43:05Speaker 2: mm hmmm, mm hmm.
- 43:08Speaker 1: What do they say?
- 43:10Speaker 2: They are the best ones.
- 43:15Speaker 1: In some aspects, Yeah, for sure, but it's it's very
- 43:22Speaker 1: interesting that a.
- 43:24Speaker 2: Lady in the street but a freaking the sheets, as
- 43:26Speaker 2: they say.
- 43:28Speaker 1: I respect that, and but radical, I just want to
- 43:34Speaker 1: like focus on the wording here, radical way out. I
- 43:37Speaker 1: think she was a nut. And Delphine Roberts was shared
- 43:43Speaker 1: a lot of Guy Banisters beliefs.
- 43:47Speaker 2: Right she was anti segregation, yep, anti communism, extream right wing.
- 44:05Speaker 1: Yes she was. And let me see I have something
- 44:10Speaker 1: on that. So in the afternoon of November twenty second,
- 44:18Speaker 1: when Banister and Jack Martin went drinking together on their
- 44:22Speaker 1: return this is from Spartacus banished. When they got back,
- 44:30Speaker 1: they got into a dispute about a missing file. Banister
- 44:33Speaker 1: became so angry that he drew his magnum revolver and
- 44:37Speaker 1: hit Martin silveral times. Martin was so badly injured that
- 44:40Speaker 1: he had to be detained in a local charity hospital.
- 44:45Speaker 1: Over the next few days, Martin told friends that Guy
- 44:48Speaker 1: Banister and David Ferry had been involved in the assassination
- 44:51Speaker 1: of JFK. According to Martin, Ferry was the getaway man
- 44:57Speaker 1: whose job it was to fly the assin out of Texas.
- 45:01Speaker 2: Also still the old flat up there, Joe, okay.
- 45:07Speaker 1: And he also claimed that Ferry knew Oswald from their
- 45:10Speaker 1: days in the Civil Air Patrol and that given them
- 45:13Speaker 1: lessons how to use a rifle with a telescopic sight.
- 45:17Speaker 1: And we know that Martin's claim that Ferry and Oswald
- 45:24Speaker 1: knew each other in the Civil Air Patrol would be
- 45:29Speaker 1: proven correct with the picture that was definitely not available
- 45:33Speaker 1: on November twenty third, nineteen sixty three.
- 45:39Speaker 2: So yeah, and I'll have a little Martin conversation coming
- 45:43Speaker 2: up a little later that will add to that a
- 45:48Speaker 2: little bit. All comes back to Martin's Jack Martin. Yeah,
- 45:56Speaker 2: and I earned everything in New Orleans.
- 45:59Speaker 1: Yeah, he really didn't. Ironically his name wasn't even Martin.
- 46:03Speaker 1: Of course, let me check the the comments because I
- 46:08Speaker 1: haven't looked at them in a second.
- 46:11Speaker 2: Oh, don't worry. We're talking about.
- 46:16Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, so Germany. Yeah, YouTube is is weird sometimes,
- 46:24Speaker 1: you know what we're talking about. It's not that I.
- 46:26Speaker 2: Can't say certain certain words like that or yeah self.
- 46:31Speaker 1: And you know what, it's weird because like I'm I
- 46:35Speaker 1: was watching like an episode or two on like those
- 46:38Speaker 1: Hunters that hunted down those German people, and like South
- 46:43Speaker 1: America and Argentina and like the past few decades, right,
- 46:47Speaker 1: like seventies, eighties, right, and I watched one of those things,
- 46:53Speaker 1: and the algo just sends me all the bad German
- 46:57Speaker 1: stuff like I can't get away from, and I can't
- 47:01Speaker 1: but help wonder like why, like why are they trying
- 47:05Speaker 1: to Like no, I'm dead serious, I'm like stop sending me.
- 47:10Speaker 1: I have to actually click not interested and it still
- 47:13Speaker 1: comes up. But sorry.
- 47:16Speaker 2: Side comment.
- 47:18Speaker 1: So do you know if Banister had anything to do
- 47:28Speaker 1: with a Cuban organization? Not that I know of. One
- 47:33Speaker 1: thing that might help is that Delphine Roberts went to
- 47:36Speaker 1: Banister's office right after his death and removed some files.
- 47:40Speaker 1: She was supposed to have brought them to g Ray
- 47:43Speaker 1: Gill's office. Now that is interesting, Rob because we have
- 47:51Speaker 1: definite connections from Ferry to Jerry Gill. Right, it worked
- 47:55Speaker 1: for Jerry Gill.
- 47:56Speaker 2: Well, and apparently Banster introduced David Ferry and Gray Gull.
- 48:05Speaker 1: Yeah, it's very interesting that that files.
- 48:11Speaker 2: Banister was his character witness in that Eastern Airlines lawsuit.
- 48:14Speaker 1: The Gray Yo represented him. Yeah, it was Fairies in
- 48:19Speaker 1: the early sixties. Yeah, I believe it was sixty one
- 48:23Speaker 1: or sixty two. It wasn't too much before the JFK.
- 48:29Speaker 1: But yeah, fascinating because there's not a ton of ties
- 48:34Speaker 1: from like Banister to mafia individuals, right, But g Ray
- 48:41Speaker 1: Gill obviously the attorney for Carlos Marcello. Yeah, and we
- 48:50Speaker 1: know that Ferry link. So that is very interesting that
- 48:54Speaker 1: his files might have gone to g Ray Gil. I
- 48:56Speaker 1: don't know about it. It's a very interesting to think about.
- 49:02Speaker 1: And this is another lady that was investigated by Garrison,
- 49:09Speaker 1: a friend of Delphie Roberts. I think she was like
- 49:12Speaker 1: a part time secretary. Delphian Roberts told Miss Brangle that
- 49:20Speaker 1: Banister gave her specific instructions on what to do with
- 49:24Speaker 1: the files in the event of his death. Missus Banister.
- 49:30Speaker 1: So we're talking about Mary Banister. We're going to get
- 49:32Speaker 1: into her statement in a slide or two here sold
- 49:36Speaker 1: most of the files to Kent Courtney. No idea who
- 49:40Speaker 1: that is.
- 49:42Speaker 2: And he is a big money hard right winger. I
- 49:46Speaker 2: think Leander Perez General Walker tight.
- 49:50Speaker 1: Oh yeah, but why would he be interested because you
- 49:56Speaker 1: have to assume Banister's files were.
- 49:59Speaker 2: Like blackmail my friend, right.
- 50:05Speaker 1: Like a like an Epstein type of type of thing,
- 50:07Speaker 1: like against.
- 50:08Speaker 2: Amster with the Diddy in nineteenth sixty three.
- 50:15Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's not the worst analogy I've ever heard.
- 50:20Speaker 2: But he did not attend any of David Faery's freak
- 50:23Speaker 2: off parties. Okay, I just want to get that said
- 50:26Speaker 2: that straight. Yes, even we've heard about that with stuff
- 50:30Speaker 2: flying all over the place. Yeah, drugs sisters.
- 50:36Speaker 1: Yeah, and I know you're kind of joking, but I
- 50:40Speaker 1: actually think like Banister would be nowhere near there those
- 50:45Speaker 1: type of parties.
- 50:46Speaker 2: Oh no, he'll know.
- 50:49Speaker 1: So like you're joking, but what you're saying is actually
- 50:52Speaker 1: come true.
- 50:53Speaker 2: Yes, I'm joking and having a freak call.
- 50:59Speaker 1: And this is Delphine Roberts's statement.
- 51:03Speaker 8: I had to cut out the title because of I
- 51:08Speaker 8: want to enlarge it, but this is from the Garrison documents,
- 51:11Speaker 8: and she said, after being unable to arouse him unintended.
- 51:17Speaker 2: What were they trying to what were they trying to
- 51:20Speaker 2: do for the poor guy? Well, this is when they
- 51:22Speaker 2: had I don't know, Mary, he won't get hard. I
- 51:26Speaker 2: don't I don't know what's wrong. Well, maybe he did.
- 51:31Speaker 1: I think she means call him by a rouse, like
- 51:34Speaker 1: get him on the phone, but.
- 51:36Speaker 2: I was unable to arouse him. I left and got
- 51:39Speaker 2: into the car.
- 51:42Speaker 1: Yeah, having the key to the car and it was
- 51:44Speaker 1: his car.
- 51:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 51:47Speaker 1: I drove to the nearest public phone to call my mother.
- 51:51Speaker 1: The phone was located on Domaine and Carrollton. My mother,
- 51:54Speaker 1: upon learning what I had seen him lying on the bed,
- 51:58Speaker 1: advised me not to attend to enter. That's what got
- 52:01Speaker 1: me confused, Rob, because I've read this.
- 52:05Speaker 2: Too late, because she already had Yeah.
- 52:08Speaker 1: Being a graduate and trained nurse, and from the description,
- 52:12Speaker 1: she told me he might be dead in the event
- 52:15Speaker 1: he was. For my own protection, I had to call
- 52:16Speaker 1: as good friends Becky and Bill Niski. I had mentioned
- 52:20Speaker 1: that before. They also come up in the Garrison files,
- 52:23Speaker 1: so this was a former hold on. Let me bring
- 52:26Speaker 1: this up. Nitschki was an x FBI agent retired, came
- 52:34Speaker 1: to New Orleans in December sixty one from Reno, Nevada
- 52:38Speaker 1: as a partner in the business with Banister.
- 52:42Speaker 2: I did not know this.
- 52:44Speaker 1: Nisky did not like missus Decker, who I had read
- 52:46Speaker 1: a statement from a.
- 52:48Speaker 2: Slider two ago.
- 52:49Speaker 1: He felt she had told Banister he was trying to
- 52:51Speaker 1: take over the business. So some drama internally there, but
- 52:56Speaker 1: so that is nisky. He's an x FBI agent, and
- 53:01Speaker 1: Delphine Roberts calls him, and I guess his wife Becky
- 53:08Speaker 1: to accompany her into the home or back into the
- 53:14Speaker 1: home of Banister once she figured out that he was
- 53:17Speaker 1: probably dead.
- 53:21Speaker 2: D so she goes.
- 53:30Speaker 1: On my return, I stopped again at the same phone,
- 53:32Speaker 1: thinking that by chance they might arrived. The phone was
- 53:38Speaker 1: ringing as they were entering the house, and while one
- 53:40Speaker 1: was answering the phone, the other was reading the note
- 53:42Speaker 1: I left. They said they would come immediately. I drove
- 53:46Speaker 1: back to Guy's apartment and waited. We tried to arouse
- 53:50Speaker 1: him and were unable to do so. Del Niskey then
- 53:54Speaker 1: decided to use a crowbar from his car and break
- 53:58Speaker 1: open the door. I really do think that she wasn't
- 54:06Speaker 1: in there at first, it seems, but as his gumar,
- 54:10Speaker 1: you would think she'd have a key to the apartment.
- 54:14Speaker 1: But I mean that's speculation, right.
- 54:17Speaker 2: Well, she may have been there before and then locked
- 54:19Speaker 2: the door, and then when they came back they couldn't
- 54:22Speaker 2: get in.
- 54:23Speaker 1: Yeah, it's possible. We went in and I want to
- 54:27Speaker 1: turn him over to see if we could revive him
- 54:30Speaker 1: as a guy baster, and I was about to do
- 54:32Speaker 1: so when Bill said, don't touch him. He is dead.
- 54:35Speaker 1: Unbeknown to me, he had felt his feet and he
- 54:38Speaker 1: had recognized death on the touch. He was laying on
- 54:44Speaker 1: the bed on his stomach with only a pair of
- 54:47Speaker 1: shorts on. His head was on a pillow on the
- 54:51Speaker 1: left cheek, so this is really like there's a lot
- 54:54Speaker 1: of specific information here. And in his right hand he
- 54:58Speaker 1: was clutching a bath towel. It looked like he was sleeping.
- 55:04Speaker 1: I didn't think he was dead. Then immediately mister Minsky
- 55:07Speaker 1: phoned the police or reported that we had found Guy
- 55:10Speaker 1: Banister dead in his apartment on maw Street. We were
- 55:13Speaker 1: hardly in when we were out, because Bill said it
- 55:16Speaker 1: was most important to not disturb anything, especially his body,
- 55:22Speaker 1: in the event that foul play had taken place, and
- 55:25Speaker 1: there might have been a knife or bullet found in
- 55:28Speaker 1: the case there was. We wanted to wait in the
- 55:30Speaker 1: outside until the police came, and they came within minutes
- 55:34Speaker 1: and Delphine and Roberts never went back in the apartment
- 55:38Speaker 1: and didn't see Bill Niski go back and Becky either,
- 55:43Speaker 1: so interesting and.
- 55:50Speaker 2: Really quickly let me.
- 55:54Speaker 1: This is a Garrison Investing interview with Missus Mary Banished,
- 56:00Speaker 1: Guy Banister's wife, by Andrew Sciambra, the assistant DA to Garrison.
- 56:08Speaker 1: He traveled to Monroe, Louisiana to talk to Mary Banister
- 56:12Speaker 1: at connection with the files her husband Guy was keeping
- 56:16Speaker 1: in the course of his investigation of investigative work. Missus
- 56:20Speaker 1: Banister told me that after her husband died, Miss Delphine
- 56:24Speaker 1: Roberts and her daughter took some files from the Guy
- 56:27Speaker 1: Banister's apartment and also from Guy Banister's office and turned
- 56:32Speaker 1: them over to mister g Ray Gill. She also said
- 56:36Speaker 1: that she believes these files were in reference to an
- 56:39Speaker 1: investigation concerning David Ferry and his case with Eastern Airlines.
- 56:45Speaker 1: I doubt that's why they were so interested in his files.
- 56:50Speaker 1: It's because of Ferry and Eastern Airlines. She stated that
- 56:54Speaker 1: she later on called mister Gill and asked him to
- 56:57Speaker 1: return the files to her, but he did not do so.
- 57:00Speaker 1: So Mary Banister said that she does not know what
- 57:04Speaker 1: happened to these files, and went on to say that
- 57:08Speaker 1: she also burned some files because she felt, in her
- 57:11Speaker 1: opinion that these files should be destroyed as they might
- 57:15Speaker 1: hurt some innocent people. Okay, time out. So we have
- 57:24Speaker 1: Delphine Roberts taking files allegedly and Mary Banister burning some,
- 57:35Speaker 1: but she sold some and sold some right burned, and
- 57:39Speaker 1: so state police. I don't know, I mean, I get
- 57:46Speaker 1: it right. So if he spent so many years like
- 57:51Speaker 1: getting all these files on communists and communists sympathizers, kind
- 57:56Speaker 1: of like data these days, right, like how a company
- 57:58Speaker 1: buys your data or your your search history right to
- 58:02Speaker 1: give you better.
- 58:03Speaker 2: Ads, And people would have wanted these things, Joe, for blackmail.
- 58:07Speaker 1: For blackmail too, but yeah, for for a ton of reasons, right, But.
- 58:12Speaker 2: To say I buy some files, I got your name
- 58:14Speaker 2: in it. Guess what, I'm gonna call you out and say, hey, Joe,
- 58:17Speaker 2: guess what? Say what? Hey, I just happened to come
- 58:21Speaker 2: into some files you might be interested in obtaining for yourself.
- 58:24Speaker 2: They could be very damning if they were accidentally to
- 58:26Speaker 2: be made public. Where I have here, you know you're
- 58:30Speaker 2: a member of the you know, bad German Party. I
- 58:35Speaker 2: see here. You you smoke keeping cigars, you support castro,
- 58:40Speaker 2: blah blah blah. I think your friends or your employer
- 58:42Speaker 2: I would like to hear about that, would they? But
- 58:44Speaker 2: they don't need to, Joe. For the low price of
- 58:47Speaker 2: one hundred dollars, you can get your file back. Yeah.
- 58:52Speaker 1: It's it's interesting to like think, why would which ones
- 58:55Speaker 1: would be burned?
- 58:57Speaker 2: Right, like, well, very important evils, powerful people?
- 59:03Speaker 1: Yeah? Or would they not be worth more sold?
- 59:06Speaker 2: But you never know, well don't Yeah, I don't think
- 59:10Speaker 2: Mary Banister was worried about blackmailed people. She just wanted
- 59:13Speaker 2: to get rid of him and make some money off
- 59:15Speaker 2: of him Ruse again allegedly at the time of his death. Yeah,
- 59:23Speaker 2: you know it has no money. Yeah.
- 59:25Speaker 1: He was behind on his rent by a number of
- 59:27Speaker 1: months for sure, and you know he dies in sixty four.
- 59:33Speaker 2: Ah.
- 59:35Speaker 1: You would think if he was in the plot to
- 59:40Speaker 1: assassinate JFK, he would have been paid off in some
- 59:43Speaker 1: way and been able to pay his rent, right, Yeah,
- 59:49Speaker 1: that's just speculation, right.
- 59:54Speaker 2: But how was he paying Delphine.
- 59:58Speaker 3: With d.
- 1:00:01Speaker 2: Yeah? And I don't mean coins minute in Denver?
- 1:00:05Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, yeah, for sure, And maybe that's something we
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: could ask Janet, I don't quiz well, as she calls
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: back on, we could ask him about his financial situation
- 1:00:19Speaker 1: later in life. She might have something that's right. I mean,
- 1:00:23Speaker 1: this financial thing is where I was talking to missus.
- 1:00:26Speaker 1: Banisher told me that about one or two days after
- 1:00:30Speaker 1: her husband's death, she went to his office in an
- 1:00:33Speaker 1: attempt to prevent anyone from taking these files, and discovered
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: that some files had already been taken. The old man
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: who lived above Banisher's office told her he had seen
- 1:00:45Speaker 1: Delphine Roberts and her daughter take some files while her
- 1:00:48Speaker 1: daughter and a policeman was present. Now that's very interesting, Rob,
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: because we talked about how guy Banister was in this
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: anti corruption probe and how he had possibly rustled a
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: lot of feathers in his investigation. And I think Janet
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: said she had heard some of his files were going
- 1:01:14Speaker 1: into some library or something, but when she looked, they
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: weren't there. I recall that from our conversation. But very
- 1:01:24Speaker 1: possible that you have some state actors right that weren't
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: worried about his files in terms of the corruption in
- 1:01:33Speaker 1: the NPD as well. So you have a bunch of
- 1:01:36Speaker 1: people from I'm sure Jack Martin's reason for taking files right,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: which led to the pistol whipping. Compared to Mary Banister,
- 1:01:47Speaker 1: compared to Delphine Roberts, they all had different agendas, wait
- 1:01:53Speaker 1: for sure, and want different type of files, all right,
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: So all right, let me finish up here before like
- 1:02:01Speaker 1: a million barbers. And of course Delphine Roberts talked to
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: Anthony Summers for his book Conspiracy, and Anthony Summers had
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: said I traced Roberts in nineteen seventy eight before she
- 1:02:21Speaker 1: had talked to Congresce's the HCA. She had a special
- 1:02:25Speaker 1: role in Banister's operations. By sixty three, Delphine Roberts had
- 1:02:29Speaker 1: made her own mark on extremist politics in New Orleans,
- 1:02:34Speaker 1: one which shows that she and Banister were birds of
- 1:02:37Speaker 1: a political feather.
- 1:02:40Speaker 2: Well Born and.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: Well educated, Delphine Roberts was proud to call herself a
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: daughter of the American Revolution. Her unshamed allegiance was to
- 1:02:50Speaker 1: the extreme right, and in sixty two she earned brief
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: press interest as a vociferous candidate for a place in
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: the New Orleans Council. Guy Banister did not fail to
- 1:03:06Speaker 1: notice this, and Miss Roberts still remembers fondly how he
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: met and wooed her. The pair became lovers, and Banister
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: brought Miss Roberts into his office as personal secretary and researcher.
- 1:03:17Speaker 1: She was with him throughout the summer of nineteen sixty three,
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: at the time of the Kennedy assassination Banister. After the
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: Kennedy assassination, Banister ordered Delphine Roberts not to discuss anything
- 1:03:31Speaker 1: with the FBI and kept her out of the office
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: until the immediate uproar had blown over. After Banister's death,
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: she distanced herself from the people she had known at
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: five point forty four Camp Street and persistently avoided interviews.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: She stalled questions from the New Orleans DA office in
- 1:03:49Speaker 1: nineteen sixty seven Garrison, and tried to elude assassination's committee staff.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: In nineteen seventy eight, when I made contact with her,
- 1:03:58Speaker 1: she at first repeatedly denied ever hearing the name Lee
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: Harvey Oswalt until after the assassination. Then, after an upsetting
- 1:04:07Speaker 1: confrontation with her own lawyer, interesting, Miss Roberts quietly began talking.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: One overt surviving sign of the extreme political views was
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: her opinion that the American intelligence agencies are today being
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: destroyed by so much exposure, so much has been revealed. However,
- 1:04:30Speaker 1: she saw a little point in continuing to be secret
- 1:04:33Speaker 1: of herself. If this witness, Delphine Roberts, is telling the truth,
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: all the suspic suspicions about Lee Harvey Oswald's true role
- 1:04:43Speaker 1: have been justified. She remembers them very well. Indeed, so
- 1:04:49Speaker 1: I have a company.
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: Had a conversation with her lawyer, who probably told her, look,
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: you know, there's no point in lying anymore, and if
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: you have to go so take an oath and testified
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: to Congress, you're gonna have to tell him the truth.
- 1:05:06Speaker 2: A lot of it's already came out already, so you
- 1:05:08Speaker 2: might as well. So that's when she probably said, Okay,
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: screw it. You know, I talked to this guy, and
- 1:05:12Speaker 2: I'll tell the hc A what I know.
- 1:05:15Speaker 1: Mm hmm. But still uh yeah, and Banister's dead, Fairy's dead.
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: I don't know if you were Gilds dead yet, but
- 1:05:23Speaker 1: the Garrison investigations over yeah, all did yeah, but still
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: loyal to the cause kind of right like not.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, she tried to avoid it and tried
- 1:05:39Speaker 2: not to you know, you get mixed up in all
- 1:05:41Speaker 2: that mess.
- 1:05:43Speaker 1: But yes, sir, so I have a few more slides,
- 1:05:46Speaker 1: but I have taken up too much, too much time,
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: so I hand it back over to you, sir.
- 1:05:52Speaker 2: All right, I'll just end up your little Dolpine Roberts
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: with her HSCA testimony that she gave in on July six,
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: nineteen seventy eight, in an interview with Robert Burris at
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: her house on late Poncher train job.
- 1:06:09Speaker 1: She's still living there, huh yeah wow.
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: On the above date and time, Missus Roberts allowed the
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: interviewer to pick her up at her residence and go
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: to the lake front to talk. Much more romantic that way,
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: you know. She stated that she did not want her daughter,
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: Delphine Junior, who lives with her, to hear what she
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: had to say. She stated that she would tell what
- 1:06:34Speaker 2: she remembered in her way so the events would be
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: in order and easier for her to remember. Missus Roberts
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: stated that her family goes back and she can trace
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: back her bloodline to Jeb Stewart on her mother's side,
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: and because of this bloodline, she is a proud member
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Daughters
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: of the Confederacy. If she had been a man, she
- 1:06:54Speaker 2: would be eligible to join the Brothers of Cincinnati, but
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: sadly she could not. His family was very patriotic, except
- 1:07:03Speaker 2: for one cousin, Julia Points, who was duped into joining
- 1:07:06Speaker 2: the Communist Party. After World War One, Julia attempted to
- 1:07:10Speaker 2: quit the party and she was chopped into pieces and
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: dumped in a hole in Central Park after being covered
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: with live joe. That is gruesome. God Banister was checking
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: on Julia Points before Delphine met him. This was one
- 1:07:29Speaker 2: of guys first assignments with the FBI when he was
- 1:07:31Speaker 2: stationed in New York, and at that time he was
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: trying to locate a secret underground railroad that the Communist
- 1:07:37Speaker 2: Party used to get spies in and out of the country.
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: Delphine Roberts became concerned about our country when President Roosevelt
- 1:07:45Speaker 2: and his Negro wife Eleanor got the US in the
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: United Nations, which has its charter based on the Communist Manifesto.
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: She was married to a John Stribble Junior, who became
- 1:07:58Speaker 2: a Lieutenant general in the Air Air Force and worked
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: on mathematics teams that planned the first NASA space flights.
- 1:08:05Speaker 2: She divorced Strobble and married Harry Roberts. She divorced him
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: and was going to remarry Strobble when he suddenly died
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: sadly in nineteen sixty eight. In the early sixties, Delphine
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: was active in anti communist activities and became involved in
- 1:08:22Speaker 2: the anti integration movement. She was written about in National
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: News and in Pravda for some of her demonstrations in
- 1:08:31Speaker 2: Baton Rouge and New Orleans. She was joined by friends
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: of hers in the American Legion and the Daughters of
- 1:08:37Speaker 2: the American Revolution, and one of the most publicized demonstrations
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: was in Baton Rouge when they carried a coffin that
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: symbolized the US Constitution being dead because of foreign policy
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: and the federal laws imposing integration. She thinks that all
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: the presidents since Roosevelt have sold this country down the river,
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: especially Lyndon Johnson, who was a real bastard that in
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: sents the Southern Conservatives by going along with the integration
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: policies of the Supreme Court. She joined the White Citizens
- 1:09:08Speaker 2: Council in New Orleans and made some PTA meetings trying
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: to prove that integration of our schools was a Communist
- 1:09:14Speaker 2: plot to destroy our country. She knew Leander Perez of
- 1:09:22Speaker 2: Plaquemines Parish and was later excommunicated from the Roman Catholic Church.
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: Alongside Leander Perez and Missus Guayo, another anti integrationist, She
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: worked with an investigator for the Louisiana Sovereignty Commission on
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: several groups in New Orleans. They were anti American. The
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: Commission was interested in the Black Muslims and other Unamerican groups,
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: but particularly Communist groups. Delphine correspondent with Senator Eastlan of
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: the House of Unamerican Activities Committee and the other counterpart
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: of the Congress, whose names she could not remember. She
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: corresponded with jaeg Or Hoover and he wrote her personal
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: letters about things in the New Orleans area. She destroyed
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: those letters as best she can remember. One of who
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: were assistants by the name of ed Or John Sullivan
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: came to New Orleans and spoke of the American Legion
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: and she corresponded with him as well. Sullivan used to
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: talk to Leander Perez and was very concerned about the
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: activities in New Orleans. She stated that Sullivan is still alive,
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: but she does not know what his assignment is now,
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: So we'll jump ahead a little bit here.
- 1:10:35Speaker 1: Roll really, do you remember when we did the Clinton
- 1:10:39Speaker 1: Witnesses episode, right, Yeah, the Congress of Racial Equality, right
- 1:10:45Speaker 1: and Oswalt's legend presence there right with the black Cadillac
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: with Faery or Shaw or it was alleged possibly banished
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: her as well. It could have been one of those
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: efforts kind of like the fair play for Cuba to
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: descredit that, and that would have been right up right
- 1:11:09Speaker 1: up his alley. So I just wanted to point that
- 1:11:12Speaker 1: out because I read it, and I think it was
- 1:11:15Speaker 1: in Summer's books as well.
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: In early nineteen sixty one, Delphine Roberts decided that the
- 1:11:21Speaker 2: American flag was not receiving the respect that it should
- 1:11:25Speaker 2: in the city, and she decided to put up a
- 1:11:27Speaker 2: booth on Canal Street to promote the American flag Joe.
- 1:11:34Speaker 2: The booth had a loud speaker system, an American flag
- 1:11:37Speaker 2: and Confederate flags all around it, and she and her mother, Amelia,
- 1:11:44Speaker 2: manned it. The booth was put up by people that
- 1:11:47Speaker 2: she can't remember in the nine hundred block of Canal Street,
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: right in front of Walgreens drug store. Every day someone
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: that she don't remember, would bring her and her mother
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: food and drinks from Walgreens. They never paid for this
- 1:11:59Speaker 2: because someone was sponsoring them that they didn't know. She
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: would play march songs and talk about the flag and
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: against the UN. The merchants on Canal Street, who were
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: all Jews, made a complaint about her booth and the
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: police came to arrest her. That was the first time
- 1:12:15Speaker 2: that she met Guy Bamster. He came into the booth
- 1:12:19Speaker 2: with her and her mother wearing a suit and a
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: hat and a gun and told the police that they
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: would have to arrest him too. Damn it. The police
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: never arrested anyone, but did ask that they set a
- 1:12:30Speaker 2: date to leave and dismantle the booth. The day was
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: set and they left, and she and Banster became fast
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: friends after after that, and she later worked with him
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: as a volunteer because he was working for what she
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: believed in. She did secretarial work such as typing correspondence,
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: making files, clipping newspapers, etc. She knew his system and
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: remembers that he had one of the largest and most
- 1:12:54Speaker 2: complete files of communist and fellow travelers. Delphine had some
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: of the names at her home that she had copied
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: from these files while she worked there. She destroyed some
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: and gave some to someone that she refused to name
- 1:13:09Speaker 2: or even hint at why they took the files, which
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: is interesting.
- 1:13:13Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it corroborates what I read before.
- 1:13:16Speaker 2: Right after Banister's death, Delphine could not get near anything
- 1:13:21Speaker 2: because Mary Banister had it all locked up. She suggested
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: that Mary could tell the committee where the files the
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: rest of the files were. Delphine remembers the guy positively
- 1:13:32Speaker 2: had a file on Lee Harvey Oswald, but it was
- 1:13:35Speaker 2: kept out of the regular files because he never got
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: around to as signing a number to it. She does
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: not remember what was in it other than general info
- 1:13:42Speaker 2: such as paper clippings. Delphine remembers Guy Banister getting very
- 1:13:47Speaker 2: angry and loud with both Jim Arthurs and Sam Newman
- 1:13:50Speaker 2: because they allowed Oswald to use the address of five
- 1:13:53Speaker 2: point forty four cam Street on his flyers.
- 1:13:57Speaker 1: I believe his landlord Banister.
- 1:14:00Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, and Arthurs was the janitor so or you know,
- 1:14:07Speaker 2: building maintenance guy or whatever it is. As she remembers,
- 1:14:13Speaker 2: Jim Arthurs did not have an office there, but a
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: little room that was like an apartment. Banister was always
- 1:14:18Speaker 2: getting mad at artists because he talked too much about
- 1:14:21Speaker 2: their business in the office. Delphine would not or could
- 1:14:25Speaker 2: not elaborate on the exact content content of the talk
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: that she heard between Newman Arthurs and Banister. She did
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: not give an opinion on whether Oswald might have been
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: working for Banister. The closest she could remember Banister's words
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: to the men about Oswald was quote, how is it
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: going to look for him to have the same address
- 1:14:44Speaker 2: as me? Unquote. She did not foreign opinion on what
- 1:14:48Speaker 2: this meant. Delphine stated that she never saw Oswald in person.
- 1:14:52Speaker 2: She states that she did see Fidel Castro in his
- 1:14:55Speaker 2: top aide Shay Grivarro, walking on Canal Street in nineteen
- 1:15:00Speaker 2: sixty one when she had the flag booth. On November
- 1:15:07Speaker 2: twenty second, nineteen sixty three, Delphine states that she was
- 1:15:10Speaker 2: working in Banister's office when she heard the news the
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: president had been shot. She had turned on a small
- 1:15:15Speaker 2: portable radio to listen to the news when the special
- 1:15:18Speaker 2: bulletin ended Guy Banister, who was in his office and
- 1:15:21Speaker 2: asked her to turn the radio up so that he
- 1:15:23Speaker 2: could hear the news. She does not remember anyone else
- 1:15:26Speaker 2: being present, but shortly after the first announcement announcement, many
- 1:15:30Speaker 2: people came into the office to tell them about the
- 1:15:32Speaker 2: incident and to talk about it. She did not comment
- 1:15:35Speaker 2: on whether the people present were admirers of the president
- 1:15:37Speaker 2: or not. Delphine stated that she remembers the incident where
- 1:15:41Speaker 2: Guy Banister hit Jack Martin with a gun several times
- 1:15:44Speaker 2: in the head. She stated that Jack Martin came into
- 1:15:47Speaker 2: the office when she was the only person in there.
- 1:15:50Speaker 2: Martin jumped over the rail and ran to a rear
- 1:15:53Speaker 2: section where some files were kept that had come from
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: Banister's house after he and his wife split up. While
- 1:16:00Speaker 2: she was asking Martin what he was doing, Banister walked in.
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: Banister told Martin that he knew that he'd stolen some
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: files and had them in his coat, and demanded that
- 1:16:10Speaker 2: Martin give him the files back. Martin shouted words to
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: the effect that Banister didn't have any right to accuse
- 1:16:16Speaker 2: him of stealing and that he Martin was leaving the office.
- 1:16:20Speaker 2: When he attempted to leave, Banister pulled out his gun
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: and hit Martin several times in the head, causing some lacerations.
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: Banister then took Martin into his private office and Delphine
- 1:16:30Speaker 2: could not hear what they were talking about. Martin left
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: the business and sometime later came back and told Banisters
- 1:16:37Speaker 2: that he wanted to go home, but he did not
- 1:16:39Speaker 2: want to take the bus. All bloody, he asked Banister
- 1:16:42Speaker 2: for money to catch a cab. Banister gave him the money,
- 1:16:45Speaker 2: and this occurred on the day of the assassination. But
- 1:16:48Speaker 2: all the people that were in the office had gone
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: around the corner to a bar, and she was the
- 1:16:53Speaker 2: only one that had stayed in the office to work.
- 1:16:56Speaker 2: Missus Roberts stated that she had not been active in
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: anything for the past ten years. Her daughter, Delphine Junior,
- 1:17:02Speaker 2: had a bad accident and she spends her time taking
- 1:17:05Speaker 2: care of her in the house. She related the above
- 1:17:07Speaker 2: incidents as she remembers them and stated that times have
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: now changed and she is not as interested in these
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: things as she used to be in her youth. She
- 1:17:16Speaker 2: stated that she does not want any attention or publicity,
- 1:17:19Speaker 2: even though she was not a fan of Kennedy. She
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: would help her government any way that she can.
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: Interesting and yeah, her daughter was Delphine.
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: Junior. Yes, interesting, So from this interview that was basically
- 1:17:40Speaker 2: the report. She was shown a photo album and identified
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: the following people. Clay Shawl from papers and photos she'd seen.
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: She didn't get into details other than the fact that
- 1:17:51Speaker 2: she had seen photos of shaw in full female dress
- 1:17:56Speaker 2: in the possession of David Ferry. Uncle Dave. Yeah, huh,
- 1:18:02Speaker 2: dressed up, dude looks like a lady. Uh. She identified
- 1:18:08Speaker 2: Jack Martin from seeing him around and working in Banish's office.
- 1:18:12Speaker 2: David Ferry, same thing, Guy Banister, of course they had
- 1:18:16Speaker 2: a personal relationship. Regis Kennedy, who was a New Orleans
- 1:18:20Speaker 2: FBI agent. Believe she saw him in the Banister office.
- 1:18:24Speaker 2: William Dozell, Huh.
- 1:18:26Speaker 1: She said. Uh. Delphine Roberts said Regius Kennedy's name was
- 1:18:31Speaker 1: familiar to her, which, of course was interesting, uh, being
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: he was an FBI agent and Guy Banister was an
- 1:18:38Speaker 1: ex FBI agent.
- 1:18:40Speaker 2: Sergeant William Dozell from around the Banisher's office. Uh, Geneva
- 1:18:46Speaker 2: d s. Which is interesting because that's a ruby stripper.
- 1:18:51Speaker 1: Dez, what look got you?
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: I set you up for that one, but you did.
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: Thank you for that softball. Joe Marcello, possibly from newspapers.
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: Farrank Nagy unknown from where Lee and Marina from Banister's office.
- 1:19:09Speaker 9: Yet she stated that she had never seen Lee Oswald
- 1:19:12Speaker 9: in person, but she identified their pictures and said that's
- 1:19:15Speaker 9: where she saw them, which is interesting.
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: It goes on to say Delphine Roberts believed that Lee
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: Oswald came into the office to be interviewed for a job,
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: but doesn't remember anything specific because so many people were
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: coming in for interviews. At a later date, Banister introduced
- 1:19:36Speaker 2: Marina and Lee to her in his office, but they
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: walked right out and she did not talk to them.
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: She could not recall hearing Marina speak or how they
- 1:19:44Speaker 2: were dressed. On several occasions, Lee Oswald would come in
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: and go into Banisher's office and she could not hear
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: any conversation from that room. She believed that Oswald was
- 1:19:54Speaker 2: either working with or attempting to work for Banister. She
- 1:19:59Speaker 2: does remember hearing Banister holler at Sam Newman and James
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: Arthurs about letting Oswald use the second floor room and
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: about keeping his FPCC literature around his office. Arthur's used
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: to come into the office and put leaflets on Banister's
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: leaflet table as a joke because all the other literature
- 1:20:16Speaker 2: was anti communist. Banister would often tell Arthist that he
- 1:20:20Speaker 2: talked too much about what was going on, but he
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: always let him into the office. Banister advised against sending
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: the dead pigeon to Kennedy because he wanted to send
- 1:20:31Speaker 2: a dead pigeon to Kennedy for some reason.
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: It's like, uh, Luca Brosse sleeps with the fishes.
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: Right, Yeah, you're a stool pigeon. Yeah you're dirty.
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: Rant and Dave had a good uncle. Dave had a
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: good comment. Regis Kennedy, Warren Debrize knew a lot and
- 1:20:50Speaker 1: concealed much as instructed by Jay Edgar Hooper.
- 1:20:57Speaker 2: So, and here's a little bit more about this. About
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: the Martin and Banister fight, It says Banister pulled his
- 1:21:06Speaker 2: gun and hit Martin several times and made him bleed.
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: At this point, Delphine jumped the railing and looked on
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: from outside the office. Banister then took Martin into his office,
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: and she assured that when Martin left, he did not
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: have any of the files. After Martin left, Delphine and
- 1:21:22Speaker 2: Banister looked up the Oswald file, which was in her
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: desk because the information had not been mounted and indexed.
- 1:21:28Speaker 2: She assumes this She assumes from this that the file
- 1:21:32Speaker 2: that Martin was attempting to get was the Oswalt file.
- 1:21:36Speaker 2: She remembers that it contained news clippings such as the
- 1:21:38Speaker 2: arref for handing out leaflets, and other papers that she
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: didn't remember. She explained that many times Banister would give
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: her information in a file number, and she would file
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: it but not read what it was about. Some things,
- 1:21:50Speaker 2: Banister would tell her to file and lock up, but
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: not to read. For her own safety, Banister advised her
- 1:21:55Speaker 2: that she should not talk to anyone about Oswald or
- 1:21:57Speaker 2: any activity that she might have heard about anti Castro
- 1:22:00Speaker 2: actions such as gun running.
- 1:22:05Speaker 3: HM.
- 1:22:06Speaker 2: Banister stated many times that the truce would not come
- 1:22:08Speaker 2: out in the Warren report, and he believed that conspiracy
- 1:22:12Speaker 2: had taken place. Fairy used to argue that Oswald did
- 1:22:17Speaker 2: it alone and used to flip out and Banish's office,
- 1:22:21Speaker 2: and they would disagree over the theories, but neither one
- 1:22:24Speaker 2: of them had any remorse about the dead President. Banister
- 1:22:28Speaker 2: did say that he thought that Kennedy was killed just
- 1:22:30Speaker 2: when it appeared that he might be turning a little
- 1:22:32Speaker 2: conservative and anti Castro.
- 1:22:35Speaker 1: So and what's interesting, Rob is I think we've heard
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: it twice. Is after this pistol whipping, kind of like
- 1:22:47Speaker 1: brothers fighting, they went into the office and kind of
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: talked about it.
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: Right, Well, I'm sure it went like this banished the
- 1:22:57Speaker 2: point of gun, Martin said, look, I beat you asked
- 1:23:01Speaker 2: already give me the files. I'm gonna plug you with
- 1:23:05Speaker 2: some hot lead. And I'm sure Martin gave up his
- 1:23:09Speaker 2: files whatever he was trying to steal m And then
- 1:23:12Speaker 2: of course, you know, he went to the hospital and
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: all that jazz and police report was made out, but
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: they did not press.
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: Charges, right because he was like a father to him.
- 1:23:21Speaker 2: Yeah, he had a signed autograph picture of Banister in
- 1:23:24Speaker 2: his house, according to his wife, Jack Martin's wife.
- 1:23:29Speaker 1: That's that's that's so interesting at that point of time
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: to have.
- 1:23:37Speaker 7: Yes.
- 1:23:38Speaker 2: Yeah, So moving right along, let's hear some more from
- 1:23:42Speaker 2: some uh New Orleans witnesses. We heard from Joseph Newborough
- 1:23:48Speaker 2: in that video before we had Jandin on us think
- 1:23:52Speaker 2: this episode before that.
- 1:23:53Speaker 1: Two or three weeks ago.
- 1:23:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, Well, this is from the HSCA interview form.
- 1:23:58Speaker 2: They interviewed him in nineteen seventy eight, and this is
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: what he had to say. Mister Newburgh was interviewed this
- 1:24:07Speaker 2: date the subpoena was served. Mister Newburgh stated that he
- 1:24:11Speaker 2: didn't have any records. However, he stated that he had quote,
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: photographs and some negatives in a safety deposit box. However,
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: he said that he couldn't remember the name of the
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: bank that the safety of deposit box was in. He
- 1:24:26Speaker 2: went on to say that he believed the bank was
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: located in Gonzales, Louisiana. He said that he would attempt
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: to ascertain the name of the bank, then we contact
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: investigator Bob Burius when he does. Mister Newburroer stated that
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: he knew guy Banners started to work for him from
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: fifty eight until his death. He describes Banister as an
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: arch conservative who apparently had a file on Oswald, However,
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: he doesn't know what happened to it. Stated that he
- 1:24:55Speaker 2: believed Oswald was an agent for the ci A. Joe Yeah,
- 1:25:03Speaker 2: and was acting under orders.
- 1:25:06Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, Robert really comes down to this, right, was
- 1:25:11Speaker 1: Oswalt working for Banister to draw out Communist sympathizers and
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: and other pro procast That's what it sounds like to me, right,
- 1:25:24Speaker 1: But I'm just saying there are two options here, right,
- 1:25:28Speaker 1: or or Banister was using Oswalt's natural leftist sympathies to
- 1:25:39Speaker 1: to whatever. I mean, there's no doubt that he was
- 1:25:45Speaker 1: very familiar with him. And I think I was reading
- 1:25:48Speaker 1: something I think was in Anthony Summer's Conspiracy when someone said, oh,
- 1:25:52Speaker 1: this guy is Oswald is passing out leafless in New Orleans,
- 1:25:56Speaker 1: and Banister laughed, right, So he was aware of Oswalt.
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: But was were they incahoots together or or was a
- 1:26:06Speaker 1: Banister using Oswald? That's really the only two kind of
- 1:26:12Speaker 1: situal situations that I see.
- 1:26:15Speaker 2: Right, And you know, well, I think Oswald would have
- 1:26:19Speaker 2: viewed it as an assignment from an authoritative figure, yeah,
- 1:26:24Speaker 2: thinking that he was doing something worthwhile, you know, out
- 1:26:27Speaker 2: in communists, And you know, I think Banisher was probably
- 1:26:32Speaker 2: using him to do that. You know, I don't think
- 1:26:36Speaker 2: they were like inca hoots together or anything.
- 1:26:39Speaker 1: No, I'm just saying, yeah, I mean I agree, Yeah,
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: I think it's very possible.
- 1:26:46Speaker 2: So agree to put a sock in h d A. Garrison,
- 1:26:54Speaker 2: he says, was on the right track, although he described
- 1:26:56Speaker 2: Garrison as an egotistical maniac, that he had the head
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: of Earl Anglin James, or that they had heard of
- 1:27:04Speaker 2: earl Angland James a wondering bishop, although he has never
- 1:27:09Speaker 2: met him in person. Newborough had been ordained by James
- 1:27:13Speaker 2: himself through the mail. So there's another bishop. Was Joseph
- 1:27:25Speaker 2: Newborough damed by this guy, the same guy that ordained Ferry?
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: Huh Yeah.
- 1:27:32Speaker 2: He went on to say that the day JFK was killed,
- 1:27:35Speaker 2: he was with Banisters setting up at wiretap unrelated to
- 1:27:38Speaker 2: the assassination. Mister Newborough stated that he would like to
- 1:27:42Speaker 2: be contacted in the future through investigator Bob Burris, because
- 1:27:49Speaker 2: I guess he liked them. And then they tracked down
- 1:27:53Speaker 2: Ross Banister, Guy Banister's brother, the HSCA did and at
- 1:27:59Speaker 2: that time he was retired from the legal department from
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: the State Highway Department of Louisiana. And here's what he said.
- 1:28:10Speaker 2: They talked to him in January of seventy eight. He
- 1:28:13Speaker 2: was living in Baton Rouge at the time and they
- 1:28:16Speaker 2: did the interview over the telephone. Mister Banister is the
- 1:28:20Speaker 2: brother of Gud Banister. He is an attorney. He has
- 1:28:23Speaker 2: presently retired from the legal office of the State Highway Department.
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: He is not sure what happened to his brother's records
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: at the time of his death, but he noticed that
- 1:28:30Speaker 2: Guy's widow, Mary, had some of the records and she
- 1:28:33Speaker 2: gave them to a Major Wiley of the Louisiana State Police.
- 1:28:37Speaker 2: Mister Banister further informs the investigator that Major Wiley had
- 1:28:41Speaker 2: subsequent has subsequently to that retired and went to work
- 1:28:46Speaker 2: as an investigator for mister Ross Banister. So, if you
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: didn't understand what the hell I just said, Goud Banish's
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: wife Mary, when she she sold the records of the
- 1:29:02Speaker 2: Louisiana State Police Major Wiley, Well, Wiley retired from the
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: State Police and went to work for Ross Banister as
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: an investigator. Guy Banished his.
- 1:29:16Speaker 1: Brother, right, Yeah, he was kidnapped. We had talked about
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: him with Jold.
- 1:29:21Speaker 2: But basically the files came back into the family. Huh
- 1:29:27Speaker 2: via Ross and this Major Wiley. When Querry is to
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: the whereabouts of Mary Banister now, he says that she
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: is remarried. He is not sure to the best of
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: his knowledge, that she is possibly in Hammond, Louisiana, and
- 1:29:40Speaker 2: her new last name is Wilson, but he is not
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: even sure of that. When pressed by the investigator, he
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: said that he will check with his mother and obtain
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: the information for us. I really didn't want to though,
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: give me. So there was a well we're gonna skip
- 1:30:05Speaker 2: that one that has to do with Carrie Thornley.
- 1:30:08Speaker 1: And Uncle Dave said. LHO said he was protected by
- 1:30:13Speaker 1: the Chief, right, which was likely Banister.
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: I agree, sir, I do too.
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: I mean, I guess the other option was Hoover. But
- 1:30:24Speaker 1: there's right. It was like speculation, but there's no way
- 1:30:28Speaker 1: that Oswalt would have been.
- 1:30:30Speaker 2: Protected by Hoover, right right, Okay, And you gotta remember
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: this from a conversation with Thomas Beckham where he says, yes, sir.
- 1:30:40Speaker 2: So now we have an interview with Lawrence Gusherau by
- 1:30:48Speaker 2: Frank Meloch. This is February tenth, sixty seven. The hell
- 1:30:56Speaker 2: is this guy? I don't know, but he stated that
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: he worked for Guy Banister in sixty two and sixty
- 1:31:02Speaker 2: three until the time of Banister's death. He stated that
- 1:31:05Speaker 2: he was not an employee of Banister, but has worked
- 1:31:08Speaker 2: on a contract basis for a dollar an hour.
- 1:31:11Speaker 1: Joe, Yeah, like an independent contractor, right, Like, yeah, I
- 1:31:14Speaker 1: don't work for you, but you need something done, I'll
- 1:31:18Speaker 1: pay me part time and I'll do it. And I'm
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: not an employee of you per se right.
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: Yeah. When asked if he knew anyone who frequently banished
- 1:31:28Speaker 2: his office, he said the only ones he knew were
- 1:31:30Speaker 2: Missus Roberts, his secretary, Jack Martin, Joe Newborough, and R. J. Guzman.
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: He states that these are the only people that he
- 1:31:39Speaker 2: knew had any business with Banister, and the only time
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: he had occasion to go to the Banister's office was
- 1:31:44Speaker 2: to pick up an assignment. He said he had no
- 1:31:47Speaker 2: knowledge why Jack Martin and Joe Newborough made so many
- 1:31:50Speaker 2: visits to Banister's office, only that guy had once told
- 1:31:54Speaker 2: him to be nice to these fellows because if you don't,
- 1:31:56Speaker 2: they can hurt you. He further stated that it no
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: time did he see Cubans in Banister's office. He said
- 1:32:06Speaker 2: that no one trusted Banister. Banister actually had very little
- 1:32:11Speaker 2: work to do. He further stated that when Banister died,
- 1:32:15Speaker 2: he owed him fourteen hundred dollars and owed seven to
- 1:32:19Speaker 2: eight months rent to mister Mancuso. I spoke with fifteen
- 1:32:23Speaker 2: grand Yeah, I spoke with Lawrence about Banister's files, and
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: he stated that the day after Banister died, Lawrence went
- 1:32:31Speaker 2: to Banister's office to see about getting his money. When
- 1:32:34Speaker 2: he arrived, he found a padlock on the door and
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: was told that mister Mancuso had padlocked the place for
- 1:32:38Speaker 2: back rent. He feels that if anyone should know the
- 1:32:42Speaker 2: disposition of Banister's files, it should be missus Banister or
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: mister Mancuso, who of course owned Mancuso's restaurant there on
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: the corner. Mister Cushuau is a private investigator, self employed
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: license out of Jefferson Parish, was employed at Pendleton and
- 1:33:02Speaker 2: was a past clerk for the FBI. There is no
- 1:33:06Speaker 2: Bureau of Investigation record on the subject. The subject was
- 1:33:09Speaker 2: not photographed or license under the City of New Orleans
- 1:33:12Speaker 2: Detective Frank Malt investigator or Jim Garrison. Then we have
- 1:33:23Speaker 2: Miss Shirley the Seal Joe uh Yeah. She worked part
- 1:33:32Speaker 2: time for Guy Banister in sixty and sixty one. She
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: does not her Dave Ferry, but stated that mister Bannister
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: did some Norman Rockwell of the American bad German Party.
- 1:33:44Speaker 2: She stated that Banister was ultra conservative. She also knows
- 1:33:48Speaker 2: Jack Martin and as far as she knew, his reputation
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: was unsavory. She had heard from a source that she
- 1:33:54Speaker 2: can't remember that Martin had committed some abortions in southern Texas.
- 1:33:58Speaker 2: She claimed he was notorious. She can't remember any dealings
- 1:34:03Speaker 2: with Cubans while she was employed by a Banister. She
- 1:34:06Speaker 2: would be willing to come to the office and give
- 1:34:09Speaker 2: any information. She is very cooperative. She also stated that
- 1:34:12Speaker 2: Anna Berglass was a very close friend of Banister, also
- 1:34:16Speaker 2: did some investigative work for him, and also Joseph Newborough
- 1:34:20Speaker 2: worked for Banister with Martin. Newborough spent five years in
- 1:34:25Speaker 2: the federal penitentiary prior to that for embezzlement. Thank you,
- 1:34:31Speaker 2: Paula Ron.
- 1:34:34Speaker 1: Thank you. You are the best.
- 1:34:40Speaker 2: So this Guzman guy allegedly saw Ferry and banished his
- 1:34:43Speaker 2: office between sixteen sixty two. Other people in his office
- 1:34:48Speaker 2: as well. A lot of this stuff we're just going
- 1:34:57Speaker 2: to cruise through because there's so much juicy information. Here's
- 1:35:02Speaker 2: what I was teasing you with earlier, Joe, Okay, So
- 1:35:05Speaker 2: these are some of the quotes they had just wrote
- 1:35:07Speaker 2: down a bunch of quotes. It's basically a conversation between
- 1:35:12Speaker 2: Jack Martin and Jim Garrison. And this is in December
- 1:35:16Speaker 2: of sixty six, and the question is when did you
- 1:35:24Speaker 2: see him with Oswald. Regarding Ferry, Martin says, well, it
- 1:35:28Speaker 2: banisters Gilly. He used to come in in banisters. I'm
- 1:35:33Speaker 2: assuming he means Gray Gull. Jack Martin. Dave Ferry introduced
- 1:35:39Speaker 2: me to him in Banister's office and said, this is
- 1:35:42Speaker 2: Lee Oswald. He used to be with me in the
- 1:35:45Speaker 2: Cap squadron when he was a little kid. So I said, yeah.
- 1:35:53Speaker 2: Garrison says who else was there besides Oswald? And Martin says, okay,
- 1:36:01Speaker 2: Ferry and a bunch of kids came in, and Ferry
- 1:36:05Speaker 2: and a bunch of fellas came in, and Ferry had
- 1:36:08Speaker 2: an officer's fatigue on like they war in Vietnam. Roughly
- 1:36:14Speaker 2: how many people were there with Ferry? Martin says, approximately
- 1:36:18Speaker 2: three or four, including this guy Oswald with Ferry, and
- 1:36:22Speaker 2: there were several others are conscious Smith yea as well,
- 1:36:28Speaker 2: which is interesting. And then apparently the day before that
- 1:36:33Speaker 2: he had he was talking to Pershing Gervais and Martin said, quote, well,
- 1:36:41Speaker 2: Lee Harvey Oswald had offices right next door to Jimmy
- 1:36:45Speaker 2: Hodges and also Jimmy Arthurs had all of Oswald's paraphernalia
- 1:36:52Speaker 2: up there. La Jo used to hang on his banner
- 1:37:00Speaker 2: with this asshole Fairy. So I don't know, but it's interesting,
- 1:37:11Speaker 2: you know that he says that Fairy told him and quote,
- 1:37:17Speaker 2: this kid used to be with me in the cap squadron, right, Yeah,
- 1:37:23Speaker 2: which of course was true. The photo didn't come out
- 1:37:27Speaker 2: until the late eighties or early nineties. Yeah, Okay, so
- 1:37:33Speaker 2: this wasn't proven at the time. This was mere speculation,
- 1:37:37Speaker 2: but it had to come from somewhere tangible or else
- 1:37:40Speaker 2: Martin would have never known, right, Ye. So he obviously
- 1:37:45Speaker 2: possibly saw that picture in Fairiy's house or was told
- 1:37:50Speaker 2: about it or something, or had been around them.
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: Yeah, but no, his knowledge of that photo was is
- 1:37:59Speaker 1: clear right way before, decades before I came out.
- 1:38:09Speaker 2: I think that is just about it for a New
- 1:38:12Speaker 2: Orleans witness. That's some other things about Bringle and Delphine,
- 1:38:16Speaker 2: but we touched on you touched on that earlier. Yeah,
- 1:38:27Speaker 2: so that is about it for Delphine and some of
- 1:38:30Speaker 2: these other folks hanging around Banish's office. I know you're
- 1:38:34Speaker 2: probably getting tired of us talking about Banister, but uh,
- 1:38:38Speaker 2: you know, I think it's important in the big scheme
- 1:38:41Speaker 2: of things to understand what in the hell was going
- 1:38:43Speaker 2: on in New Orleans because If you can figure that out,
- 1:38:48Speaker 2: then you have a good chance in figuring out who
- 1:38:50Speaker 2: was actually behind the assassination, who would have possibly been
- 1:38:54Speaker 2: using Oswald as a tool or setting them up as
- 1:38:58Speaker 2: a patsy to take the fall for what happened in November,
- 1:39:04Speaker 2: or was he part of a plot, you know, and
- 1:39:08Speaker 2: why and why.
- 1:39:09Speaker 1: His files were of such great interest to a lot
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: of people We detailed in this episode, right, Why was
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: Oswalt's file regardless of what what.
- 1:39:26Speaker 2: Kind of role he had, it was.
- 1:39:30Speaker 1: Very It was you know, very important because Jack Martin
- 1:39:37Speaker 1: obviously got into a fight about it, and you have
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: Delphine Roberts going to get documents, you have Mary Banister
- 1:39:46Speaker 1: getting documents, you have Delphine Roberts's daughter trying to or
- 1:39:51Speaker 1: with Delphine getting documents, there was some cover up going on,
- 1:39:58Speaker 1: and the question is why.
- 1:40:00Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, So with that being done, we're gonna do
- 1:40:08Speaker 2: a disclaimer here now because we actually didn't touch on
- 1:40:12Speaker 2: it when it happened, but we're gonna bring it up
- 1:40:15Speaker 2: now since you know, stuff like this doesn't happen every day.
- 1:40:20Speaker 2: We were you know, ten years of the show and
- 1:40:22Speaker 2: never happened, and that's an attempted assassination on a president
- 1:40:27Speaker 2: or a former president. Apparently last week or two weeks ago,
- 1:40:32Speaker 2: there was another attempt on President Trump, former President Trump
- 1:40:37Speaker 2: while he was golfing at a golf course. And this guy,
- 1:40:43Speaker 2: Ryan Rauth I think it is his name, who they
- 1:40:47Speaker 2: arrested for this alleged attempted assassination, has a lot of
- 1:40:54Speaker 2: red flags and connections to intelligence.
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: Yeah, much more than Crooks. We covered. We did an
- 1:41:03Speaker 1: episode around Crooks. Uh, he was a weird person, not
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: anyone I would think, Uh, anyone will try to use
- 1:41:15Speaker 1: right as a as a tool in some way. But
- 1:41:21Speaker 1: this Ryan Ross guys, it's a little different story. Wrong.
- 1:41:26Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean he's you know, supposedly got uh connection
- 1:41:32Speaker 2: to the Ukraine. He was recruiting people and saying that
- 1:41:35Speaker 2: he was going to pay them, uh to come fighters.
- 1:41:40Speaker 1: I guess something like that.
- 1:41:42Speaker 2: Anybody to come and fight for Ukraine, they would be paid. Uh. Well,
- 1:41:48Speaker 2: this guy literally didn't have a job. He ran this
- 1:41:51Speaker 2: weird tiny home business in Hawaii that only ever built
- 1:41:56Speaker 2: one home. No, no reasonable sign of income from anywhere.
- 1:42:04Speaker 2: But yet he's traveling all over the place.
- 1:42:07Speaker 1: Yeah, and and can offer one hundred and fifty thousand
- 1:42:10Speaker 1: dollars bounty to anyone that finishes the job. And you know,
- 1:42:15Speaker 1: I have to say this because we do an assassination
- 1:42:18Speaker 1: podcast and we're obviously anti assassination, whether it be Democrats, Republicans, JFK, Like,
- 1:42:26Speaker 1: we're just anti right, Why the hell would the DOJ
- 1:42:34Speaker 1: release that letter that says I'll give one hundred and
- 1:42:39Speaker 1: fifty grand anyone that can finish the job. I mean,
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: are you trying to just like create chaos and discourse
- 1:42:46Speaker 1: because that's that. I saw that and I was like,
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: that's nuts. They've you know, we haven't seen anything from
- 1:42:52Speaker 1: crooks if you had anything written like why release Yeah?
- 1:42:56Speaker 2: I mean this is some kind of dead man switch
- 1:42:58Speaker 2: that got sent to somebody because Ralph got arrested. It
- 1:43:02Speaker 2: was supposedly from him, yeah, written before him. And then
- 1:43:07Speaker 2: you have this weird thing that it kind of mirrors
- 1:43:09Speaker 2: what happened in Vegas where this guy's son gets busted
- 1:43:14Speaker 2: for KP on his computer.
- 1:43:17Speaker 1: You know what I'm saying, Uh yeah, his son was
- 1:43:21Speaker 1: just yeah, yeah, Ryan Ralph. The attempt at assassin came
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: out a day or two ago. It's it's wild, man.
- 1:43:34Speaker 1: I don't want to think. I really don't well.
- 1:43:37Speaker 2: I'm gonna give you something to think about, Joe, because
- 1:43:39Speaker 2: I came across a wild conspiracy theory that connects all
- 1:43:44Speaker 2: this stuff together. Give us wow, we go deep deep
- 1:43:50Speaker 2: down the rabbit hole, folks. Yes, and this is not
- 1:43:55Speaker 2: my own work here. This is something I came across,
- 1:44:01Speaker 2: of course online. But it was very intriguing because when
- 1:44:05Speaker 2: you start to connect the dots and who these people
- 1:44:10Speaker 2: are and who they're connected to, like, it starts to
- 1:44:20Speaker 2: paint a really wild, wild picture. And we're talking about
- 1:44:26Speaker 2: from the media supporting this whole fake news agenda and
- 1:44:30Speaker 2: like you said, Joe putting out what they want to
- 1:44:34Speaker 2: but not other things specifically named CNN, MSNBC. It says
- 1:44:41Speaker 2: like MSNBC allegedly was filming the Marillaca golf course and
- 1:44:46Speaker 2: Trump on September fifteenth. Motive eliminating Trump was a must
- 1:44:54Speaker 2: quote otherwise they will have to flee the United States
- 1:44:57Speaker 2: and face justice for their decades of treason, ca eruption,
- 1:45:00Speaker 2: in profiteering, blah blah blah blah. So he does one
- 1:45:05Speaker 2: to connect all these people down up from down the FBI,
- 1:45:13Speaker 2: they secretly cremated Crooks's body. Did you hear that?
- 1:45:18Speaker 1: Yeah? I did, and they washed off the roof like
- 1:45:23Speaker 1: a day or two after two right with like a hose.
- 1:45:31Speaker 2: They put anti Trump special agents to run the September
- 1:45:35Speaker 2: fifteenth assassination quote investigation per year of Tony Guy. Multiple
- 1:45:40Speaker 2: members of Beaver County SWAT abandoned their posts just before
- 1:45:44Speaker 2: July thirteenth shooting. But they post a letter from Route
- 1:45:48Speaker 2: over one hundred and fifty thousand dollars bounty on DJT.
- 1:45:56Speaker 2: This somehow this XCIA A analyst Kim Sue, was tied
- 1:46:04Speaker 2: to Rouse's Twitter account or x account, and there's this
- 1:46:09Speaker 2: person's cellular records and social media records show frequent chatter
- 1:46:12Speaker 2: with Ryan Routh and Mayorkists and Department of Formling and
- 1:46:17Speaker 2: Security leadership.
- 1:46:21Speaker 1: UH.
- 1:46:21Speaker 2: Cell phone records prove high leaked back channel and handler comms. Now,
- 1:46:27Speaker 2: if you were to see this like, they have links
- 1:46:30Speaker 2: to all this stuff and they can back it up.
- 1:46:33Speaker 2: As you can see, all those red things are links
- 1:46:37Speaker 2: UH to everything that they can back in. There's handlers.
- 1:46:41Speaker 2: He goes into the Ukraine war mercenaries funded by the
- 1:46:44Speaker 2: US State Department, Black Rock, et cetera. Yeah, of course
- 1:46:47Speaker 2: you know the connection between Black Rock and crooks and
- 1:46:50Speaker 2: black Rock and routs.
- 1:46:52Speaker 1: Yeah, and and black Rock is of course going to
- 1:46:59Speaker 1: stand to make a lot of money in the rebuilding
- 1:47:02Speaker 1: of Ukraine.
- 1:47:04Speaker 2: Now here's where he gets crazy, Joe, Yes, give it
- 1:47:07Speaker 2: to me now, bottom left corner, Okay, right with me,
- 1:47:15Speaker 2: I am with you, Okay. The guy on the far left, yeah,
- 1:47:21Speaker 2: is named Max Maxwell Yurick. M Okay. They are alleging
- 1:47:32Speaker 2: he was a spotter or patsy, or now they're alleging
- 1:47:36Speaker 2: the crooks was a spotter or patsy when no priors
- 1:47:40Speaker 2: did not fight in the Ukraine, was in Black Rock
- 1:47:42Speaker 2: Heads fanboy of Maxwell Yurick and Kennon Hooper, made digital
- 1:47:48Speaker 2: payments to Ryan Ralph and was never on the ADR roof.
- 1:47:57Speaker 2: They alleged that the actual dead perp right and the
- 1:48:01Speaker 2: photo beside him is Max Urick and not crooks. And
- 1:48:06Speaker 2: this is why they cremated his body so fast. Now,
- 1:48:11Speaker 2: this guy Maxwell Urick, right, He was arrested at earlier
- 1:48:15Speaker 2: Trump rallies resisted arrest with Hooper let off. He was
- 1:48:22Speaker 2: also a Ukraine mercenary and was in Ukraine fighting with
- 1:48:27Speaker 2: Ryan Wesley Routh, and they alleged that he was the
- 1:48:31Speaker 2: actual rooftop shooter. He was reported missing by his family. Okay,
- 1:48:39Speaker 2: he can't make this stuff up. Beaver County swat sniper
- 1:48:47Speaker 2: previously worked for Black Rock, abandoned his post just prior
- 1:48:50Speaker 2: to the shots, and his story did not add up,
- 1:48:53Speaker 2: whereas the body cam. He's married to the Deputy Corner
- 1:48:56Speaker 2: of Beaver County, Michelle Nicol, who covered up the fact
- 1:49:02Speaker 2: that Crooks is actually Yerik And and apparently there is
- 1:49:12Speaker 2: a Team Joe of sniper sniper teams hunting Trump throughout
- 1:49:20Speaker 2: the United States determined to get him. Now check this out. Yeah,
- 1:49:26Speaker 2: this is a letter okay from Representative Matt Gates of Florida. Okay,
- 1:49:32Speaker 2: and he is on the Armed Services Committee and the
- 1:49:38Speaker 2: Committee on the Judiciary. Now this just happened. September twenty sixth,
- 1:49:44Speaker 2: twenty twenty four, he writes a letter to Congress, the
- 1:49:47Speaker 2: House of Representatives, and says, I accept your invitation to
- 1:49:54Speaker 2: brief you and the committee on the information I received
- 1:49:59Speaker 2: about the uh shit, it's threats, the threat, the threat schemes.
- 1:50:11Speaker 1: Maybe a threat I got a threat teams targeting former
- 1:50:16Speaker 1: President Trumps. Yes, would also be pleased to bring with
- 1:50:21Speaker 1: me my General counsel, who was present at the briefings
- 1:50:26Speaker 1: I had, Please let me know when and where I
- 1:50:30Speaker 1: should arrive.
- 1:50:32Speaker 2: Right. The backstory on this is that he was briefed
- 1:50:38Speaker 2: by some kind of intelligence about these teams that are
- 1:50:45Speaker 2: hunting Donald Trump determined to get this dude before the election,
- 1:50:52Speaker 2: and he's going to brief Congress on it. And he's
- 1:50:55Speaker 2: got lawyer, a team of lawyers with him who were
- 1:50:57Speaker 2: there and can support his So either Matt Gates is
- 1:51:01Speaker 2: batshit crazy.
- 1:51:04Speaker 1: Or possible.
- 1:51:08Speaker 2: He has some operational intelligence. And you know, when you
- 1:51:14Speaker 2: see what happened in Pennsylvania, you see what happened in Florida,
- 1:51:20Speaker 2: and that's just the stuff we know about, you know
- 1:51:22Speaker 2: what I mean. And there was there was even some
- 1:51:25Speaker 2: kind of weird thing Joe like in Arizona or something
- 1:51:28Speaker 2: where a bunch of people that attended one of his
- 1:51:30Speaker 2: rallies got sick from some noxious chemical gas. It was
- 1:51:35Speaker 2: like twenty to thirty people, you.
- 1:51:38Speaker 1: Know, like the Havana syndrome. Maybe I mean I must say.
- 1:51:42Speaker 2: Well that's what they're saying, but I mean to dismiss it. Yeah,
- 1:51:50Speaker 2: oh no, that's just group think.
- 1:51:52Speaker 6: You know, twenty thirty people freaked out and they all
- 1:51:54Speaker 6: got sick. But it was all in their heads. But
- 1:51:59Speaker 6: were there legim a threat because it was right beside
- 1:52:01Speaker 6: where Trump was walking out or something.
- 1:52:05Speaker 1: Yeah, and and the the Iranian haven't you heard about
- 1:52:10Speaker 1: the Iranian assassination teams that are out there looking for
- 1:52:16Speaker 1: Trump too? And not to me, I have to say,
- 1:52:19Speaker 1: just screams false flag, Like what what could we do? Oh,
- 1:52:24Speaker 1: maybe get rid of Trump and maybe star war on Iran?
- 1:52:27Speaker 1: Like it's like a win win for the for the
- 1:52:30Speaker 1: industrial complex. Like and it's not a pro or anti
- 1:52:34Speaker 1: Trump anything, it's just like just what hits mean it immediately.
- 1:52:40Speaker 2: And I'm not endorsing this conspiracy theory. I'm just putting
- 1:52:42Speaker 2: it out there that this kind of stuff is out
- 1:52:44Speaker 2: there and could possibly be happening, because nothing makes sense.
- 1:52:52Speaker 2: You know, this guy should have known that he didn't
- 1:52:54Speaker 2: have a chance in hill of you know, actually getting
- 1:53:00Speaker 2: the Trump mm hmm, well I think I don't think
- 1:53:04Speaker 2: he even got any shots off, but he abandoned his gun.
- 1:53:08Speaker 2: You no, he did not track him down.
- 1:53:11Speaker 1: Yeah, apparently the Secret Service agent saw him or his
- 1:53:17Speaker 1: rifle from the bushes and engaged him immediately. The guy
- 1:53:22Speaker 1: didn't get any shots off and left, and then the
- 1:53:25Speaker 1: lady that saw him running across the street, and I
- 1:53:29Speaker 1: have a good Twitter video bookmarked of like where he
- 1:53:35Speaker 1: was in the street and where he would have been parked,
- 1:53:38Speaker 1: and and they arrested him off of ninety five, you know,
- 1:53:42Speaker 1: based on like license plates, cars parked like off the
- 1:53:45Speaker 1: side of the room.
- 1:53:46Speaker 2: Yeah, so if he went through the woods.
- 1:53:50Speaker 1: Yeah, it's uh, you know, it's crazy. We're almost in
- 1:53:56Speaker 1: October now, we have a month a little more.
- 1:53:59Speaker 2: It sounds to me like the dude is either that
- 1:54:02Speaker 2: shit crazy, which is possible, or some kind of intelligence asset,
- 1:54:10Speaker 2: either operating on orders or one of his own volition.
- 1:54:15Speaker 2: One of the two.
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it's this guy is being funded from
- 1:54:19Speaker 1: somebody and he's not working.
- 1:54:21Speaker 2: He doesn't have you know, money, money.
- 1:54:25Speaker 1: Right, And anyone that goes over to Ukraine and like
- 1:54:27Speaker 1: imagine if you are you or I went over to Ukraine,
- 1:54:30Speaker 1: or like we're going to train with the Ukrainians and
- 1:54:34Speaker 1: be like try to be part of.
- 1:54:37Speaker 2: What's just like the anti cast Cuban's going to try
- 1:54:39Speaker 2: that fuck fight deel Castro. You know they know mindset.
- 1:54:45Speaker 1: Yeah, but they know exactly who's doing it, right, Uh,
- 1:54:49Speaker 1: the FBI and the CIA, like it's not uh.
- 1:54:53Speaker 2: Yeah, they're tracking all these people and then what they're doing,
- 1:54:56Speaker 2: the NOTT even happen.
- 1:54:58Speaker 1: Yeah A, so it's uh and and of course you
- 1:55:04Speaker 1: know Trump wants to listen gud. I mean, it's not
- 1:55:07Speaker 1: pro or anti Trump. We are fighting a proxy war
- 1:55:11Speaker 1: against Russia, right, Uh, flirting with World War three in
- 1:55:15Speaker 1: this current situation, and Trump wants to end it, and uh,
- 1:55:22Speaker 1: a lot of people on the military side are not
- 1:55:27Speaker 1: do not want to end it. So it's a very
- 1:55:29Speaker 1: similar situation to what we study with JFK. We're not
- 1:55:34Speaker 1: just bringing this up to be like, oh Trump, like,
- 1:55:37Speaker 1: that's not like it's it's an exercise in critical thinking
- 1:55:43Speaker 1: of how those two situations are similar.
- 1:55:46Speaker 2: I think all this stuff works, how the intelligence community works,
- 1:55:49Speaker 2: how it sas agents works, It matters. Yeah, you know
- 1:55:53Speaker 2: when it when it comes to what we look at
- 1:55:55Speaker 2: into all the time, and we have a special skill set.
- 1:55:58Speaker 2: But being able to look at things like this and
- 1:56:00Speaker 2: be like and immediately realized that something stinks here, something
- 1:56:06Speaker 2: doesn't smell right with this, dude, you know, it's just
- 1:56:13Speaker 2: it's all not good for America either way.
- 1:56:17Speaker 1: He could exactly, And you know, I actually think Thomas
- 1:56:22Speaker 1: Crooks was was a long gunman pun intended. I like,
- 1:56:27Speaker 1: I leaned towards that, I'm sure.
- 1:56:29Speaker 2: But we saw another dude that that either was Crooks
- 1:56:32Speaker 2: or looked like crooks getting arrested at the scene, and
- 1:56:35Speaker 2: they were claiming that that's Max Eric. But these two
- 1:56:38Speaker 2: dudes looked I mean, it's like two Oswalds, you know,
- 1:56:42Speaker 2: they they could pass for brothers, you know what I mean,
- 1:56:45Speaker 2: two skinny dudes with long hair, thin face. Yeah, you know. Ah,
- 1:56:51Speaker 2: but if it turns out this year guy, because you know,
- 1:56:55Speaker 2: remember uh crooks had a car. There was a talk
- 1:56:59Speaker 2: of a van uh there as well that they towed away,
- 1:57:04Speaker 2: and that explosives were found in And when you start
- 1:57:08Speaker 2: to add all this stuff together, it don't paint a
- 1:57:10Speaker 2: pretty picture. But we're not here to you know, solve
- 1:57:13Speaker 2: that or not anything like that. That things important. We're
- 1:57:16Speaker 2: taking the consideration.
- 1:57:17Speaker 1: There are a lot of similarities, and you know, at
- 1:57:21Speaker 1: the end of the day, that's what we study.
- 1:57:23Speaker 2: And we were here.
- 1:57:27Speaker 1: Yes, the Iranian trope is a poorly constructive syop. I
- 1:57:33Speaker 1: can't agree more, to be honest. Yeah, I mean, what's
- 1:57:37Speaker 1: Iran gonna do? I mean, I don't know.
- 1:57:44Speaker 2: All right, Well, that's it. For us this week, folks.
- 1:57:47Speaker 2: It's been a pleasure and a privilege to hang out
- 1:57:49Speaker 2: with you again. Thank you for staying up a little
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: later for us. We appreciate it. Thanks to all of
- 1:57:55Speaker 2: our peeps out there who hanged with us and banged
- 1:57:58Speaker 2: with us on this episod. We hope you enjoyed it.
- 1:58:01Speaker 2: And until next time, folks. For Joe, Sexy bearded headed
- 1:58:09Speaker 2: BURRELLI and his dog Ruby, it's your boy, the trip
- 1:58:12Speaker 2: will be big. Bad Bob here with you. So Joe,
- 1:58:16Speaker 2: grab your dancing partner and let's get dattle prison.
- 1:58:25Speaker 10: He dare not talk for the record, but he said,
- 1:58:27Speaker 10: come to Bourbon Street and I'll show you what I
- 1:58:29Speaker 10: think of the case. The greatest lies are told in
- 1:58:55Speaker 10: the name of truth, the greatest crimes are committed in
- 1:58:58Speaker 10: the name of justice. The rotation as Jim Garrison's, it
- 1:59:01Speaker 10: could be used for him or against him in this
- 1:59:04Speaker 10: strange case.
- 1:59:05Speaker 2: Good night.
- 1:59:27Speaker 1: Oh that's it.
- 1:59:28Speaker 2: So they were folks who too, Peace
