- 0:06Speaker 1: Let's get into ethereum today.
- 0:07Speaker 2: This is one of the most undervalued assets that is
- 0:10Speaker 2: out there in the crypto market. We're going to break
- 0:12Speaker 2: it down for you. It's going to be a good one.
- 0:14Speaker 2: It'll get into a lot of details. My name is
- 0:15Speaker 2: Paul Barre. Welcome back into tech path. Let's go into it.
- 0:18Speaker 2: I want to thank sponsor, mister Coinbase. How are you
- 0:21Speaker 2: out there?
- 0:22Speaker 1: You guys are.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Brand new to crypto right now. This is the place
- 0:24Speaker 2: where you want to start your journey. It's very easy
- 0:27Speaker 2: to set up. Anybody can do it. All you need
- 0:29Speaker 2: is do a little bit of AML. You know, you
- 0:31Speaker 2: get your driver's license, your bank accounts connected, all that.
- 0:34Speaker 2: Then you can trade. Go out there, buy some ethereum.
- 0:37Speaker 2: Just go out buy a little ethereum right now. Not
- 0:39Speaker 2: financial advice, but check it out. You're gonna get up
- 0:41Speaker 2: to two hundred bucks in crypto just to get started.
- 0:44Speaker 1: So this is the time, guys.
- 0:46Speaker 2: We are in a market correction right now. That could
- 0:49Speaker 2: be one for the books. Let's go into a couple
- 0:52Speaker 2: of things right now.
- 0:53Speaker 1: On the fear and greed.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Fear and greed is definitely holding at fifty two right now.
- 0:57Speaker 2: We have clearly escalated off that bottom. So the bottom
- 1:02Speaker 2: is over. It appears that we will not see that
- 1:06Speaker 2: type of scenario again.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Now.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Granted, now, could there be something crazy as far as
- 1:10Speaker 2: you know black Swan, yeah, of course. But other than that,
- 1:13Speaker 2: it appears that the tariff scare has worn off and
- 1:17Speaker 2: we are now seeing a potential upside going forward. Remember,
- 1:21Speaker 2: buying early even when the markets are tumultuous is the
- 1:25Speaker 2: key to making wealth. When you look at that, along
- 1:28Speaker 2: with other scenarios playing out for ethereum right now, is
- 1:32Speaker 2: the quarterly returns. Now, we have not seen three consecutive
- 1:36Speaker 2: returns on Ethereum in the negative I think, all the
- 1:41Speaker 2: way back to what is at twenty sixteen. So right
- 1:43Speaker 2: now we are in for a pump. Possibly in Q three,
- 1:46Speaker 2: could see that little twenty four percent similar to what
- 1:49Speaker 2: we saw in twenty twenty two.
- 1:51Speaker 1: Be on the lookout for that.
- 1:52Speaker 2: That would be a nice move for Ethereum, and a
- 1:55Speaker 2: lot of people I think that are looking at Ethereum
- 1:57Speaker 2: in general can kind of see.
- 1:59Speaker 1: That as potential.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Now there is a lot of movement because of the
- 2:03Speaker 2: devs and all the upgrades that are being made. Many
- 2:06Speaker 2: people are now saying we could see a ten k Eth.
- 2:09Speaker 2: This is all based off of Metallics Bold upgrades. This
- 2:11Speaker 2: sparks a little bit of a oil frenzy. Batallic wants
- 2:14Speaker 2: to replace EASTVIM with the new platform risk V and
- 2:18Speaker 2: this is kind of where it gets into it hardware
- 2:20Speaker 2: level CPU architecture. Remember this came from Polka Dot. Poka
- 2:25Speaker 2: Dot already did this, so and it's interesting because the
- 2:28Speaker 2: pokont community actually kind of is cool with this. So
- 2:32Speaker 2: if you look at China, China is now to publish
- 2:35Speaker 2: policy boost and this is reference to the risk V
- 2:38Speaker 2: chip using nationwide access. So this could be a big
- 2:43Speaker 2: move as China starts to roll out more involvement on
- 2:47Speaker 2: this technology. And then you go back over here to
- 2:49Speaker 2: the Pectra main net upgrade. This is happening over on
- 2:53Speaker 2: May seventh. This will be early in the morning on
- 2:55Speaker 2: May seventh, just around the corner. This is pretty much
- 2:58Speaker 2: the biggest upgrade that they have done since the Blob upgrade.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Other than when we saw kind of the evolution of
- 3:05Speaker 2: ethereum as a modern token. This one is going to
- 3:08Speaker 2: make a huge difference and it could be the catalysts
- 3:11Speaker 2: to move ethereum quickly up the charts. Let's go take
- 3:15Speaker 2: a look at upgrades, because this right here, if you
- 3:17Speaker 2: go back into twenty twenty one, remember that was the
- 3:20Speaker 2: last bull run, they were hovering it just a handful
- 3:23Speaker 2: of upgrades. Look at this dynamic move right here, guys.
- 3:26Speaker 1: The reason this is.
- 3:27Speaker 2: Happening, happening right now institutional capital RWA's we are seeing
- 3:33Speaker 2: a shift in the monetary system. Is very possible that
- 3:36Speaker 2: ETH could be right there, dead center for all of this.
- 3:40Speaker 1: I want to go to this next clip.
- 3:41Speaker 3: All of these upgrades that we're seeing there are like
- 3:43Speaker 3: the culmination of a decade of like actually like five
- 3:47Speaker 3: different strands of work that have all been trying to
- 3:50Speaker 3: solve all of these fundamental problems that have prevented the
- 3:55Speaker 3: l one sc scale from going higher without compromising security
- 4:00Speaker 3: or compromising decentralization.
- 4:01Speaker 2: Right all right, So biggest one that you could consider
- 4:04Speaker 2: was gas pees. That was the biggest problem we saw
- 4:06Speaker 2: in the last bull run. If you're a brand new
- 4:08Speaker 2: to crypto, the issue was every time you traded on ETH,
- 4:11Speaker 2: it was very expensive to do that even in traditional trades,
- 4:14Speaker 2: much less if you're transferring into NFTs or other assets.
- 4:17Speaker 1: Now we have rdba's involved. Take a look at the eighth.
- 4:20Speaker 2: Chart right now, in terms of gas fees, it is
- 4:22Speaker 2: definitely been trending down even from October of just last year.
- 4:27Speaker 2: It has absolutely bottomed out here. So that again is
- 4:30Speaker 2: another benefit for where we're going to see ethereum start
- 4:34Speaker 2: to move. All right, let me jump to a couple
- 4:35Speaker 2: other charts here. This is coming over from token Terminal.
- 4:38Speaker 2: But you see the activity on Bitcoin and Ether has
- 4:40Speaker 2: been up only it's actually up only on ethereum.
- 4:45Speaker 1: That's the up.
- 4:46Speaker 2: This is the down trend that we're seeing on Bitcoin.
- 4:50Speaker 2: So it tells you that dev's obviously we're not seeing
- 4:52Speaker 2: any growth in developers there. You can kind of see
- 4:55Speaker 2: right there transaction fee revenue clearly Ethereum outpacing Bitcoin by
- 5:00Speaker 2: a magnitude amount. Then you further into this Ethereum generating
- 5:05Speaker 2: revenue on both Ether holders and validators. Remember that right
- 5:09Speaker 2: now Bitcoin only generates revenue on miners. So that's the
- 5:13Speaker 2: I think the fallacy in the system once we see
- 5:16Speaker 2: the evolution of minors mining all the bitcoin, and I
- 5:19Speaker 2: know that's it's down the road, but still being able
- 5:22Speaker 2: to plan this out, that's why I think you're going
- 5:24Speaker 2: to continue to see growth here. On eight last point,
- 5:27Speaker 2: I want to get too. Is this one right here,
- 5:28Speaker 2: and this is both Bitcoin and Ethereum of unprecedentedly high
- 5:31Speaker 2: market caps, but they're based on core developers. But I
- 5:35Speaker 2: don't necessarily see that in the Bitcoin ecosystem right there,
- 5:40Speaker 2: the fall off and really just pretty much flat on Bitcoin.
- 5:44Speaker 1: Look at Ethereum. I mean, yes, you have.
- 5:46Speaker 2: The correction, but other than that correction we have seen
- 5:49Speaker 2: up and to the right we could see another all
- 5:51Speaker 2: time high in terms of core developers coming into the ecosystem.
- 5:55Speaker 2: So another good advantage for Ethereum. And if you look
- 5:58Speaker 2: at this, Ethereum is in a position right now it
- 6:01Speaker 2: just doesn't make sense why it has not seen an
- 6:04Speaker 2: unbelievable run around this and some of this many many people,
- 6:08Speaker 2: I would say, is still being manipulated by some of
- 6:10Speaker 2: the majors ARC investment. They made their first direct investment
- 6:14Speaker 2: into Salona.
- 6:15Speaker 1: So this is another thing that I.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Want to get to because I think some of the
- 6:18Speaker 2: people that are in the know, maybe not necessarily in
- 6:22Speaker 2: the know, and what I mean by this is are
- 6:25Speaker 2: choosing to go in Solana versus eight. If you look
- 6:28Speaker 2: at this next tweet right here, Galaxy Digital also kind
- 6:32Speaker 2: of copied that trade and is also unlocking and going
- 6:35Speaker 2: into Solana as well.
- 6:38Speaker 1: And here's the point.
- 6:39Speaker 2: When you look at Salona, it's not that it's a
- 6:40Speaker 2: bad trade, it's just that when you compare it to
- 6:42Speaker 2: the opportunity going forward, Solana is still Yes, it has
- 6:46Speaker 2: been pulled back, but does it have a huge upside
- 6:49Speaker 2: like what Ethereum could be doing is the big question.
- 6:52Speaker 2: This is Kathy Wood's trade on Nvidia. And the reason
- 6:55Speaker 2: I'm showing this is they exited back here in October,
- 7:00Speaker 2: they let all that happen right there, that was almost
- 7:03Speaker 2: one thousand percent in gain, and then they re entered
- 7:06Speaker 2: back here in June. So when you look at Kathy
- 7:09Speaker 2: Wood Arc, though they are excellent, this was a miss.
- 7:13Speaker 1: And I think that.
- 7:14Speaker 2: The core principles of what Ethereum offers has a lot
- 7:19Speaker 2: of similarities to what the core principles of Nvidia were
- 7:22Speaker 2: to AI. And that is the miss that I think
- 7:25Speaker 2: Wall Street is making on not getting into Ethereum versus
- 7:30Speaker 2: some of these other projects.
- 7:31Speaker 1: If you look at kind of these.
- 7:32Speaker 2: Extreme fear positions, remember we just went through one just
- 7:36Speaker 2: buying those spots right there. Boom up, boom up boom.
- 7:42Speaker 2: As you can see, it is a license to print money.
- 7:46Speaker 2: When you go and do this, it almost works with
- 7:49Speaker 2: almost any major catalyst asset that's out there, including if
- 7:54Speaker 2: you look at some of the cores around where technology
- 7:57Speaker 2: is going, eth is kind of leading the way there.
- 7:59Speaker 1: I want to go to another clip here.
- 8:01Speaker 2: This clip is going to get into the whole idea
- 8:04Speaker 2: of ethereum is money.
- 8:06Speaker 1: Take a look.
- 8:07Speaker 4: September twenty twenty two. This was the merge, and you
- 8:09Speaker 4: can see that at that point we've basically stopped the
- 8:12Speaker 4: growth of the supply of ether did in March twenty
- 8:14Speaker 4: twenty four. Earlier this year, the den Kuhn hard fork
- 8:17Speaker 4: introduced effectively some of the activity that was taking place
- 8:20Speaker 4: on the L one, some of the activity that was
- 8:21Speaker 4: burning ether on the L one migrated to L two's,
- 8:24Speaker 4: but the overall impact on the total supply is almost negligible,
- 8:28Speaker 4: meaning that over the course of a year we have
- 8:30Speaker 4: one point one million new eth created, which is less
- 8:32Speaker 4: than one percent annual inflation. Salona inflation looks a little
- 8:35Speaker 4: different and at a seven percent yield or a four
- 8:38Speaker 4: point seven percent annual inflation rate, so five times higher
- 8:41Speaker 4: than ether inflation. It's also interesting to look at bitcoin
- 8:43Speaker 4: inflation and for the next four years, there'll be three
- 8:46Speaker 4: point one twenty five bitcoin per block. Point eight percent
- 8:48Speaker 4: inflation annually is about the same as the ether inflation.
- 8:52Speaker 5: If ease is pirracial as money, why do we need bitcoin?
- 8:57Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 8:58Speaker 4: Bitcoin serves a role as kind of pet rock. What
- 9:01Speaker 4: is the ticker is eve?
- 9:05Speaker 1: All right?
- 9:05Speaker 2: So that you can kind of the bullish case of
- 9:07Speaker 2: where ethereum could be looked at in terms of inflationary
- 9:11Speaker 2: as a money source. One point I want to jump
- 9:14Speaker 2: over to on doing analytics right here, as these become
- 9:17Speaker 2: a little bit more interoperable.
- 9:19Speaker 1: This is a fairly significant growth chart. Already we are
- 9:22Speaker 1: going to.
- 9:22Speaker 2: See a growth chart that you will not even recognize.
- 9:26Speaker 2: This is just the beginning of the bell curve that
- 9:28Speaker 2: could be occurring. You can kind of see unit chain
- 9:30Speaker 2: right there and in the course eth leading the way.
- 9:32Speaker 1: All right.
- 9:33Speaker 2: So one thing to consider is after the next major advancements,
- 9:37Speaker 2: which will be one click transactions, let me go to
- 9:39Speaker 2: this clip right here.
- 9:40Speaker 3: Take a look seven seven oh two enabled wallets will
- 9:43Speaker 3: be able to do UNISWAP trades with one click or
- 9:48Speaker 3: one transaction instead of two, and so Ethereum becomes two
- 9:52Speaker 3: times lots annoying.
- 9:54Speaker 1: Yay, you gotta love uh.
- 10:00Speaker 2: Of a talent and that is right, Yeah, yay, But
- 10:03Speaker 2: that's a big ya because that's a huge step in
- 10:06Speaker 2: the process of where this can go for trades on UNISWAP,
- 10:10Speaker 2: big big, big guys out there. The other thing that
- 10:12Speaker 2: could happen is speed. Speed is the thing that will
- 10:16Speaker 2: kill in terms of monetary systems. Remember that VISA is
- 10:20Speaker 2: still one of the fastest networks out there. What happens
- 10:23Speaker 2: if ethereum becomes as faster faster?
- 10:26Speaker 3: Take a look, we can reduce from twelve seconds to
- 10:29Speaker 3: eight seconds. Also, we want to like decrease from eight
- 10:32Speaker 3: seconds to four seconds, right, and I mean even twelve seconds,
- 10:35Speaker 3: like like if you think about credit cards, you know,
- 10:37Speaker 3: you tap the credit card, the wheel spins for a
- 10:40Speaker 3: while like that, Like it's actually very far from being instant, right,
- 10:43Speaker 3: and so competitive for that, but like we want to
- 10:45Speaker 3: actually be better. Right, Applications that need even faster confirmations
- 10:49Speaker 3: than in a layer two IS can continue to exist
- 10:53Speaker 3: for that. And I think there is going to be
- 10:54Speaker 3: a value in a layer two IS forever, right.
- 10:57Speaker 2: If they get to that level, which I think they will. Well,
- 11:00Speaker 2: we have now disrupted the credit card payment system worldwide.
- 11:05Speaker 2: That's the kind of opportunity that sets in front of
- 11:07Speaker 2: ethereum right now, take a look over at axil our
- 11:11Speaker 2: integrations in terms of contracts.
- 11:13Speaker 1: One thing that blockchains.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Will want to do is look at bridging over to
- 11:17Speaker 2: be able to get access to DeFi. So this of
- 11:19Speaker 2: course is going to increase transactions. This is already happening.
- 11:22Speaker 1: With flow AXELR, with XRP as well.
- 11:26Speaker 2: All of this they're chasing the idea of one liquidity
- 11:30Speaker 2: and also the opportunity here I think in terms of growth.
- 11:32Speaker 2: So this of course kind of shows you the growth
- 11:34Speaker 2: already within the XRP ecosystem rl USD once that it
- 11:39Speaker 2: started to go into ave look at that growth boom.
- 11:43Speaker 1: We're going to continue to see that.
- 11:45Speaker 2: And then even token ized commodities gold, this is another
- 11:48Speaker 2: one that will continue to grow within the ecosystem.
- 11:52Speaker 1: All of this playing out.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Now, let's look at this because you've got to consider
- 11:56Speaker 2: when you think about gold, China is now looking at
- 11:59Speaker 2: setting up overseas warehouses for Shanghai Gold Exchange. Now, the
- 12:02Speaker 2: reason that is important is because of this information right here.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Let's go to this clip.
- 12:07Speaker 5: That is where I think China is trying to have
- 12:10Speaker 5: more of an impact. I would encourage everybody out there
- 12:13Speaker 5: to go look at the Shanghai Gold Exchange. They have
- 12:15Speaker 5: made tremendous leaps in opening up to allow for settlement
- 12:19Speaker 5: and physical delivery. So if you're a country that trades
- 12:22Speaker 5: with China, you have a surplus and REMMB, you can
- 12:25Speaker 5: use that to then buy gold at the Shanghai Gold Exchange,
- 12:28Speaker 5: and then you can physically deliver it to wherever you wish.
- 12:31Speaker 5: That is the area that China is going to I
- 12:34Speaker 5: think be more aggressive.
- 12:35Speaker 2: So with that being the case, tokenis gold, that's where
- 12:39Speaker 2: the eth opportunity starts to play. Instance, and we already
- 12:42Speaker 2: know China is one of the biggest, if not the
- 12:44Speaker 2: largest gold holder in the world, but major Chinese insurance
- 12:48Speaker 2: companies now are investing in gold on the Gold Exchange.
- 12:52Speaker 2: And if you look at the numbers they're talking about,
- 12:54Speaker 2: under the pilot ten insurance companies can now invest in
- 12:58Speaker 2: one percent of their assets in gold. That's two hundred
- 13:00Speaker 2: billion YU on approximately twenty four billion in USD. So again,
- 13:06Speaker 2: this is just the beginning of what the potential can
- 13:09Speaker 2: be for tokenized gold going forward. Let me go to
- 13:12Speaker 2: a couple more clips here. This is Scott Bessont talking
- 13:14Speaker 2: about this very point on the Shanghai gold exchange.
- 13:17Speaker 6: Listen't it you see things happening on the margin this
- 13:21Speaker 6: Shanghai gold exchange very interesting. Could we imagine some kind
- 13:27Speaker 6: of a R and B that is exchangeable into gold,
- 13:31Speaker 6: maybe at a premium.
- 13:33Speaker 2: I don't disagree with any of that, which is probably
- 13:35Speaker 2: why I find myself constantly sort of rolling my eyes
- 13:38Speaker 2: when people mention bitcoin.
- 13:40Speaker 6: Gold can be a risk off and a risk on asset.
- 13:43Speaker 6: Bitcoin is a risk on asset.
- 13:47Speaker 1: All right.
- 13:48Speaker 2: So Bessett has already kind of shown that his interest
- 13:51Speaker 2: is in other alternatives, and I think at eth is
- 13:54Speaker 2: definitely one of them.
- 13:56Speaker 1: Beston also goes in, take.
- 13:58Speaker 6: A look, we are going to keep the US the
- 14:01Speaker 6: dominant reserve currency in the world and will use stable
- 14:05Speaker 6: coins to do that. Thank you.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Well, you know what that means stable coins. Obviously, that
- 14:11Speaker 2: starts to go into guess who ethereum, look at the
- 14:14Speaker 2: market cap right now overall, which is continuing to expand
- 14:18Speaker 2: right here.
- 14:19Speaker 1: I'm going to zoom in on that for you guys.
- 14:21Speaker 2: It's still leading the way right there in a significant way.
- 14:25Speaker 2: This is the future of where stable coins are going
- 14:27Speaker 2: to be and if the US is going to dominate,
- 14:30Speaker 2: Ethereum is going to benefit from all of this. Last
- 14:33Speaker 2: couple of things I want to hit on right here.
- 14:35Speaker 2: Ron Hammond's talking about a huge month coming up, and
- 14:39Speaker 2: May is going to be busy. I think we're going
- 14:41Speaker 2: to see our stable coin bill get through. Ron's out
- 14:44Speaker 2: playing a little golf. Next week is going to be
- 14:47Speaker 2: a return week for Congress, and this means that we
- 14:50Speaker 2: could see a quick advancement on regulatory framework, and that
- 14:54Speaker 2: means stable coins and possibly frend Chills supposedly making some
- 15:00Speaker 2: extra effort work that could get FIT twenty one moving
- 15:04Speaker 2: into passage as well. If all of those things were
- 15:06Speaker 2: to come to come to reality at the timing, could
- 15:11Speaker 2: be huge for the markets, and I think Ethereum could
- 15:14Speaker 2: again be one of the big winners here going forward.
- 15:17Speaker 1: One other thing that is going to be good.
- 15:18Speaker 2: For eth is around gaming season, and that is because
- 15:22Speaker 2: of the launch of all these new consoles.
- 15:24Speaker 1: We sell the Sweet Play, then the.
- 15:26Speaker 2: Nintendo Switch gets launched, and the opportunity for these active
- 15:31Speaker 2: accounts are going to continue to grow. We're going to
- 15:32Speaker 2: see a lot more gamers starting to get more active
- 15:36Speaker 2: and most likely we're going to see some Web three
- 15:38Speaker 2: integrations within all of this. And if you look at
- 15:41Speaker 2: the big players, you have to consider Microsoft. We did
- 15:45Speaker 2: this video quite a while back, Microsoft choosing Ethereum over Bitcoin,
- 15:49Speaker 2: and the reason was is the opportunity here going forward
- 15:52Speaker 2: for these bigger players is going to be integrated into
- 15:56Speaker 2: Web three. That's where Ethereum plays into this terms of opportunity,
- 16:00Speaker 2: this is huge.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Guys.
- 16:02Speaker 2: Make sure if you're not in the diamond circle get
- 16:04Speaker 2: in right now. It's a great place to get additional
- 16:05Speaker 2: content from us. And you can also get into our
- 16:08Speaker 2: Telegram group, which is a private one. We only have
- 16:10Speaker 2: one use the link down below this video, and I'm

- 16:16Speaker 2: with you guys. Follow me on x at Paul Baron.
- 16:18Speaker 2: We'll catch you next time right here on tech Path
