- 2:15Speaker 4: make sure that okay, this thing want to keep on playing,
- 2:20Speaker 4: but we just want to make sure that we have
- 2:26Speaker 4: the stream going as planning. So I want to welcome
- 2:30Speaker 4: you guys tonight to South Carolina book Gal in France.
- 2:34Speaker 4: Of course, Patrise is gonna be sharing. I think she's
- 2:38Speaker 4: gonna be sharing Christmas books on tonight, but I'm gonna
- 2:42Speaker 4: share with you guys really quick before she comes on. So, y'all,
- 2:48Speaker 4: we are wrapping up season two of The Crew podcasts
- 2:54Speaker 4: and we are getting ready to Patrise is actually getting
- 3:00Speaker 4: ready to host an award show. So nominations are out,
- 3:05Speaker 4: but I want to share with you guys a little
- 3:07Speaker 4: bit about the one hundred Authors to Watch for twenty
- 3:13Speaker 4: twenty five by as far as Authors Magazine. Of course,
- 3:16Speaker 4: I am the visionary behind that. Just wanted to share
- 3:20Speaker 4: with you guys exactly what the one hundred Authors to
- 3:25Speaker 4: Watch movement is all about. For those that do not
- 3:31Speaker 4: follow me, you and then you are an author, you
- 3:35Speaker 4: may want to get involved with this, y'all. Is start
- 3:39Speaker 4: a competition. It is not a contest. We are not
- 3:45Speaker 4: getting votes. This is about you sharing your brand, bringing
- 3:50Speaker 4: awareness to your brand, about gaining visibility. This is about
- 3:56Speaker 4: I really want to say the E three experience and
- 3:59Speaker 4: that educate and power and encourage. So I want to
- 4:05Speaker 4: be able to show you how you can you know,
- 4:09Speaker 4: do different things with your brand without going broke, you know.
- 4:12Speaker 4: So we're gonna be incorporating a lot of different individuals.
- 4:17Speaker 4: This is not just a platform for me to showcase
- 4:21Speaker 4: the things that I'm doing, but we're gonna be partnering
- 4:24Speaker 4: with a lot of different individuals. We're gonna have ten
- 4:28Speaker 4: group leaders that's going to help lead and push this movement.
- 4:35Speaker 4: I am excited about that. Schanette is one of the
- 4:39Speaker 4: group leaders. She is out of California, and we have
- 4:45Speaker 4: doctor Kimberly She's gonna be one of the group leaders
- 4:48Speaker 4: out of Florida. So we have some amazing individuals that
- 4:53Speaker 4: are already signed up to be a part of this movement.
- 4:57Speaker 4: If you are an author, I encourage you to get involved.
- 5:01Speaker 4: It is an opportunity for you to allow your voice
- 5:07Speaker 4: to be heard about your brand. You get an opportunity
- 5:11Speaker 4: to be that representation for yourself. You get to show
- 5:15Speaker 4: up how you want to show up, and what we're
- 5:18Speaker 4: doing over here is showing you how you can show up.
- 5:21Speaker 4: So what I've been doing, I've created a group chat
- 5:26Speaker 4: where we are sharing different information. So I'm sharing different
- 5:33Speaker 4: things for the authors. Say someone reach out to me
- 5:38Speaker 4: and say, hey, do you have someone that can be
- 5:40Speaker 4: on the podcast, or you have someone that would like
- 5:42Speaker 4: to be featured in the magazine, or do you know
- 5:45Speaker 4: somebody that want to speak on this platform or want
- 5:48Speaker 4: to be a part of this platform. Then I run
- 5:51Speaker 4: over to the group I posted in a group. I'll
- 5:52Speaker 4: let the group know, Hey, this is what is out there.
- 5:55Speaker 4: This is an opportunity. If you want this opportunity, you
- 5:58Speaker 4: can get on this opportunity. So that's what we're doing.
- 6:01Speaker 4: I'm not charging you for the information that I'm getting.
- 6:07Speaker 4: This is an opportunity for us as Brown people to
- 6:12Speaker 4: really come together and collaborate and work together and work
- 6:18Speaker 4: within the communities. It's not just gonna be something that
- 6:21Speaker 4: we're gonna be doing for one month. No, we're gonna
- 6:24Speaker 4: be doing this for the whole twelve months. We're gonna
- 6:27Speaker 4: be pushing those one hundred authors. We've already started sharing them.
- 6:31Speaker 4: We've already started putting them out there. We've already started
- 6:36Speaker 4: doing different things for them. They're gonna have blog features,
- 6:39Speaker 4: they're gonna have videos floating around, they're gonna have clips
- 6:42Speaker 4: floating around. You're gonna start seeing them through interviews. You're
- 6:46Speaker 4: probably gonna start seeing them go live and talk about
- 6:50Speaker 4: their different brands. You're probably gonna see a lot of
- 6:53Speaker 4: them because it's all about visibility. It's all about you
- 6:58Speaker 4: making a mark and you be in your voice. Oftentime.
- 7:04Speaker 4: A lot of people say, well, whoever's for me is
- 7:07Speaker 4: for me. I don't have to get out here and
- 7:11Speaker 4: push this and push that and push that. So that
- 7:15Speaker 4: is true too. But when he's given you a gift,
- 7:19Speaker 4: remember also, faith without works is dead. So we can
- 7:24Speaker 4: believe and have faith all day and believe that those
- 7:27Speaker 4: that are going to show up are going to show up,
- 7:29Speaker 4: and those that are assigned to us are going to
- 7:31Speaker 4: show up. But if we're not doing anything and we're
- 7:33Speaker 4: just waiting for them to show up, then nothing is
- 7:36Speaker 4: going to continue to happen. We have to put forth.
- 7:39Speaker 4: So I tell people what may be old to somebody
- 7:44Speaker 4: may be new to somebody else, because what's trash to
- 7:47Speaker 4: somebody may be a treasure to someone. So we have
- 7:50Speaker 4: to remember that when we are here posting. So again,
- 7:54Speaker 4: you have to align with that that you think you
- 7:58Speaker 4: are called and purpose to do.
- 8:01Speaker 3: I can't tell you.
- 8:03Speaker 4: That the one hundred authors movement is the best thing
- 8:07Speaker 4: for you. Only you can you can make that decision,
- 8:10Speaker 4: but I can tell you what are we're going to
- 8:13Speaker 4: be providing. I can tell you what we're gonna be doing.
- 8:16Speaker 4: I can tell you the mission behind it, and then
- 8:19Speaker 4: you can make the right decision concerning you and your brand.
- 8:24Speaker 4: So basically what we're doing again, like I said earlier,
- 8:30Speaker 4: we're going to be highlighting authors through our blog. I'm
- 8:35Speaker 4: gonna be featuring them in the magazine. Not just Aspiring
- 8:38Speaker 4: Authors magazine, but we are partnering with like the Voyageress magazine,
- 8:45Speaker 4: Vorge l A Vorge Dallas, Vorge, Ohio. The different voyage
- 8:51Speaker 4: I don't know if you guys know, but they have
- 8:54Speaker 4: a content creator package now where you can strive to
- 9:03Speaker 4: them and you can. They will send you notifications and
- 9:08Speaker 4: different things of possible features, possible interviews, podcasts, different things
- 9:14Speaker 4: every month. And it's like ten dollars. Some of us
- 9:18Speaker 4: waste that other things when we can put those ten
- 9:22Speaker 4: dollars in our brand and get opportunities to be featured
- 9:25Speaker 4: on these different platforms. If you're not familiar with Voyage
- 9:30Speaker 4: La Dallas, Ohio, they have one in just about every
- 9:36Speaker 4: state in most major cities. This magazine has a branch
- 9:43Speaker 4: and if you're in that area, you can get featured
- 9:46Speaker 4: in that in that magazine and then a lot of them.
- 9:50Speaker 4: If you even are doing an event in that area,
- 9:53Speaker 4: they'll feature you in the magazine. Because when I went
- 9:55Speaker 4: out to California and did the event out in California,
- 9:59Speaker 4: I got featured in Voyage LA. They featured me in
- 10:02Speaker 4: the LA. So you just have to reach out to them,
- 10:07Speaker 4: talk to them, let them know what you're doing, what
- 10:09Speaker 4: you're trying to do, and then they can tell you
- 10:11Speaker 4: what type of feature they can do for you. And
- 10:13Speaker 4: and these are different opportunities that I am providing, that
- 10:17Speaker 4: is as they're being provided to me providing them to
- 10:21Speaker 4: the group. So again, if you're looking for these types
- 10:25Speaker 4: of opportunities, then you want to get connected to the
- 10:27Speaker 4: one hundred authors to watch movement so that you can
- 10:33Speaker 4: stay connected to what we are doing over here. Again,
- 10:38Speaker 4: we're also posting a lot of information inside of the
- 10:42Speaker 4: Night You're Fired. Within group. It is a group that
- 10:47Speaker 4: I restarted. I started it a couple of months for
- 10:51Speaker 4: a friend and they left the group. They abandoned the
- 10:57Speaker 4: group and left it, and people kept responding and kept
- 11:01Speaker 4: going in it. So I went back and not activated.
- 11:04Speaker 4: I changed it and realigned some stuff, and we're over
- 11:08Speaker 4: there collaborating. It's a group where we collaborate. We're gonna
- 11:11Speaker 4: be doing some live We're gonna be doing some training,
- 11:13Speaker 4: We're gonna be doing some mentorship for authors, speakers, you
- 11:19Speaker 4: name it, anything around authorship, we're gonna be sharing it
- 11:23Speaker 4: inside of that group. So if you are someone that
- 11:27Speaker 4: want to be a leader, then that may be somewhere
- 11:30Speaker 4: where you want to come and and and be a leader.
- 11:33Speaker 4: And if you're someone that need that leadership, then there
- 11:36Speaker 4: may be a place where you can come and get
- 11:39Speaker 4: the mentorship. Because there's gonna be a lot of different
- 11:41Speaker 4: individuals that are going to be sharing and pooring from
- 11:45Speaker 4: different walks of life. Some of us are inspirational writers,
- 11:49Speaker 4: some of us non fiction writers. Different wherever we fit.
- 11:53Speaker 4: We're gonna bring those expertise that we have, those things
- 11:56Speaker 4: that we're good at, We're gonna pour into individuals to
- 11:59Speaker 4: help lift them up and to help build them up.
- 12:02Speaker 4: That's what this is all about, y'all. That's what this
- 12:04Speaker 4: is all about. So I'm gonna share with you guys.
- 12:07Speaker 4: I actually posted earlier and I'm just gonna share with
- 12:11Speaker 4: you guys the posts that I made earlier, so you
- 12:15Speaker 4: guys can get the actual posts that I made. So
- 12:19Speaker 4: let me pull it up really quick and then I'll
- 12:21Speaker 4: just read it to you guys, so you guys can
- 12:23Speaker 4: get a gist of exactly what it is. Because I
- 12:29Speaker 4: want as many people as possible authors to be involved,
- 12:32Speaker 4: because it's all about us networking and and you know,
- 12:36Speaker 4: leading by example. We have another generation coming behind us.
- 12:41Speaker 4: We have authors and creatives and all those coming behind
- 12:45Speaker 4: us that we have to be examples for. So this
- 12:48Speaker 4: is what I shared earlier. I also created a flyer
- 12:52Speaker 4: that have some of the individuals that are already involved
- 12:57Speaker 4: in the movement, so I want to encourage you guys
- 12:59Speaker 4: to go over and them out. So this is the
- 13:02Speaker 4: post that I made earlier. Are you ready to be
- 13:06Speaker 4: one of the one hundred Authors to Watch in twenty
- 13:09Speaker 4: twenty five? This groundbreaking movement is not just an opportunity,
- 13:14Speaker 4: It is a celebration. We're gonna celebrate you guys. We're
- 13:17Speaker 4: gonna celebrate your talent, collaboration, and mutual success. So what
- 13:24Speaker 4: is the one hundred Authors to Watch movement? It is
- 13:28Speaker 4: a chance for you to join a vibrant community of
- 13:32Speaker 4: ninety nine other passionate writers. This initiative is designed to
- 13:36Speaker 4: foster connection, enabling you to collaborate, network and grow both
- 13:43Speaker 4: live and virtually. Yes, we're gonna be coming off the internet.
- 13:48Speaker 4: We're gonna be meeting in person in these different places.
- 13:51Speaker 4: If you're not familiar with aa LAC, that is the
- 13:54Speaker 4: African American Africa, the African American Author Literacy This campaign
- 14:00Speaker 4: in y'all. I'm sorry, I got a little tied tongue
- 14:03Speaker 4: tied there for a moment, but that is the African
- 14:05Speaker 4: American Author Literacy Awareness Campaign that was started in twenty
- 14:08Speaker 4: sixteen to bring awareness to Brown authors around the world
- 14:13Speaker 4: and literacy within our Brown community. So what we do
- 14:17Speaker 4: is we go to different cities, different states, bring authors together,
- 14:21Speaker 4: entrepreneurs togethers those black and Brown business owners, and we
- 14:26Speaker 4: come together the whole objective and you'll learn as you
- 14:32Speaker 4: engage with this platform that it's all about educating, empower
- 14:35Speaker 4: and encouraging. We want you to be educated and power
- 14:39Speaker 4: and courage. Whenever you attend any of the events, we
- 14:41Speaker 4: want you to lead feeling like you learned something that
- 14:44Speaker 4: you didn't know before, or you gain a little more.
- 14:47Speaker 4: To help you alone this journey that you own, and
- 14:50Speaker 4: then we want you to be empowered. We want you
- 14:53Speaker 4: to be able to take everything that you took in
- 14:56Speaker 4: to take it and be able to give it to
- 14:58Speaker 4: someone else. And then we want you to be encouraged
- 15:01Speaker 4: to stay on this journey. So this is what we're doing.
- 15:04Speaker 4: So we're enabling you to collaborate, network, and grow, live
- 15:10Speaker 4: and virtually. So we're going to have virtually events too.
- 15:12Speaker 4: Whether you're at the beginning of your writing journey or
- 15:15Speaker 4: you are a season author looking to expand your horizon,
- 15:20Speaker 4: this movement is for you. This moment is for you.
- 15:25Speaker 4: So these are some of the benefits from joining this
- 15:29Speaker 4: movement networking opportunity. You get to engage with fellow authors
- 15:35Speaker 4: and form lasting connections. It's all about connections. It's all
- 15:39Speaker 4: about relationships. Not only that you get to do collaborative events.
- 15:44Speaker 4: You get to participate in both live and virtual gatherings
- 15:48Speaker 4: designed to inspire and educate. Not only that you get
- 15:53Speaker 4: media exposure. You get to gain interview opportunities with podcasts, magazines, blogs,
- 16:00Speaker 4: all eager to feature up and common authors. It's all
- 16:05Speaker 4: about you being able to pitch yourself and get out
- 16:08Speaker 4: there and make these connections. Remember, there are a lot
- 16:11Speaker 4: of people that are amongst you that do a lot
- 16:14Speaker 4: of different things that you may not know. So it's
- 16:16Speaker 4: all about talking and collaborating our mission, and this is
- 16:22Speaker 4: the most important thing, is to understand the mission of
- 16:25Speaker 4: this movement. Our goal is simple yet ambitious, to bring
- 16:31Speaker 4: visibility and awareness to each author within the movement. We
- 16:37Speaker 4: believe in a collaborative, successful model where we all men.
- 16:45Speaker 4: This is not about competing for votes or recognition. It's
- 16:50Speaker 4: about supporting each other's growth and celebrating every milestone together.
- 16:56Speaker 4: So people ask, well, how can they be recognized? How
- 17:00Speaker 4: can they get awards? But there's going to be opportunities
- 17:02Speaker 4: where you can and we'll be recognized. All the time,
- 17:06Speaker 4: individuals are contacting me and I am being nominated for
- 17:10Speaker 4: different awards and different things. So as people nominate me
- 17:14Speaker 4: for these different awards, then I always share. And everybody
- 17:18Speaker 4: that know me know that I always share everything, and
- 17:22Speaker 4: anybody that have had me on their platform before know
- 17:25Speaker 4: that if I come to your platform, I don't come
- 17:28Speaker 4: along that I always bring someone or I always set
- 17:32Speaker 4: it up to where others can come after me, and
- 17:35Speaker 4: sometimes they make it to the platform before I make
- 17:38Speaker 4: it to the platform. Even though I've made the connection,
- 17:41Speaker 4: but it's about us all being able to connect and
- 17:45Speaker 4: work together. So understanding and believing in that mission, y'all
- 17:50Speaker 4: knowing that it's about us supporting each other and growth
- 17:54Speaker 4: and celebrating milestone. We all have milestones that we want
- 17:58Speaker 4: to achieve and we want to hear you achieve those milestones,
- 18:01Speaker 4: and we want to do it together, and we want
- 18:03Speaker 4: to celebrate each one of you guys as you achieve
- 18:07Speaker 4: those milestones. Additional opportunities. While it's not a contest, we
- 18:15Speaker 4: will be highlighting various organizations award process. You can participate
- 18:23Speaker 4: if you choose. This is about building a platform where
- 18:27Speaker 4: your voice can be heard and your work can shine.
- 18:32Speaker 4: So there are a couple For those that are already
- 18:36Speaker 4: a part of the movement and are already signed up,
- 18:40Speaker 4: they have had the opportunity to tap into some of
- 18:45Speaker 4: these different things as they've been sharing them with me.
- 18:48Speaker 4: I've been posting inside of our group chat for them
- 18:51Speaker 4: to you know, engage and to check them out if
- 18:54Speaker 4: it's something that they want to be a part of.
- 18:57Speaker 4: Even with the press release and the different things that
- 19:01Speaker 4: we have been doing and showing them how that they
- 19:04Speaker 4: can do press release because I know a lot of
- 19:06Speaker 4: people have been overcharging for press release and a lot
- 19:11Speaker 4: of different things. Y'all, there are things that you can
- 19:13Speaker 4: do that are free, and there are things that you
- 19:16Speaker 4: can do that are you know, a reasonable priced, and
- 19:21Speaker 4: I have been sharing them as they come to me.
- 19:25Speaker 4: I share them with those that are a part of
- 19:27Speaker 4: this movement. So again, if you're looking for opportunities that
- 19:31Speaker 4: you know, you don't have to go broke trying to
- 19:34Speaker 4: put yourself out there, branding yourself and being visible. You
- 19:39Speaker 4: can do all these things at a reasonable price, as
- 19:42Speaker 4: well as if you are willing to do the work.
- 19:45Speaker 4: With everything, there comes work and sacrifice. So if you're
- 19:48Speaker 4: willing to do the work, there's an opportunity for you
- 19:51Speaker 4: to be seen and heard. Okay, again, I want to
- 19:56Speaker 4: say to all those potential particip this is your moment,
- 20:02Speaker 4: a chance not just to be seen, but to be
- 20:07Speaker 4: a part of something larger, a space where each story
- 20:10Speaker 4: matters and every author has the potential to make their mark.
- 20:17Speaker 4: Join us and shaping what it means to be an
- 20:21Speaker 4: author in today's society, in today's world. Let's create and
- 20:27Speaker 4: inspire and rise together. Will you be one of the
- 20:34Speaker 4: one hundred authors to watch for twenty twenty five by
- 20:38Speaker 4: Aspiring Author's Magazine. Will you join the movement? Will you
- 20:44Speaker 4: be a part of this amazing movement where we are
- 20:50Speaker 4: highlighting you, where we want to bring visibility and awareness
- 20:56Speaker 4: to you. It's not a competition, it's not about votes,
- 21:01Speaker 4: and it's not about recognition, but it's about supporting. So
- 21:05Speaker 4: if this is something that you would like to be
- 21:07Speaker 4: a part of, I want to encourage you guys to
- 21:10Speaker 4: get involved. I'm gonna share a couple of the videos
- 21:16Speaker 4: from some of the individuals that are already signed up
- 21:19Speaker 4: to be a part of this amazing movement, and hopefully
- 21:24Speaker 4: PATRICEA Will be on to be able to share with
- 21:27Speaker 4: you guys before this hour is over. So I'm gonna
- 21:30Speaker 4: share a couple of these videos with you guys, and
- 21:33Speaker 4: then I'll be back. So these are a couple of
- 21:41Speaker 4: the authors that are currently a part of the movement.
- 21:47Speaker 4: So I'm gonna see if I can get this video going.
- 21:50Speaker 4: It wanted to move on me, but y'all, I'll tell
- 21:54Speaker 4: you that's what you get for some time listening with
- 21:57Speaker 4: this live stuff. But here's the first move Away.

- 27:54Speaker 3: Wow Wow Wow.
- 27:55Speaker 4: Well I am back, I am back, I am back.

- 29:08Speaker 4: in nominating someone. You're interested in the nomination process, and
- 29:12Speaker 4: she will send you the information. You have until December
- 29:17Speaker 4: the thirty first to nominate. You having to December the
- 29:21Speaker 4: thirty first to nominate. Voting will start January the fifteenth,
- 29:27Speaker 4: and it will run from January to fifteenth through the
- 29:29Speaker 4: thirty first. I know y'all wonder well, why such a
- 29:33Speaker 4: big gap? Well, of course, Patrise explained that last night.
- 29:37Speaker 4: The reason there's a big gap between the thirty first
- 29:40Speaker 4: of December and January the fifteenth is she have to
- 29:44Speaker 4: contact every single person that was nominated to let them
- 29:49Speaker 4: know about their nomination so that they can accept their nomination.
- 29:53Speaker 4: And then she has to prepare the voting process because
- 29:56Speaker 4: you're gonna be able to vote, and we're gonna be
- 29:59Speaker 4: voting for from January to fifteenth through January the thirty first.
- 30:04Speaker 4: So if you are an author, if you are an editor,

- 30:18Speaker 4: and Friends page, or contact Patrice Grimball and get involved.
- 30:27Speaker 4: Allow her to send you the information so that you
- 30:31Speaker 4: can share the what's the name? I think I actually
- 30:35Speaker 4: have the slide from last night that I probably could
- 30:38Speaker 4: share you the share the different categories. I think I
- 30:41Speaker 4: have the slide. I do I still have the slide
- 30:45Speaker 4: from her show last night So these are the categories.
- 30:49Speaker 4: In case you are wondering what the categories are, these
- 30:54Speaker 4: are the categories. So if you know someone that fit
- 30:58Speaker 4: these categories, you can nominate them for these categories.
- 31:07Speaker 5: You have.
- 31:09Speaker 4: And let me move out the way because you can't
- 31:10Speaker 4: even see from me being in the way. Let me
- 31:12Speaker 4: move out the way because I'm all in the way.
- 31:16Speaker 4: Let me move up here to the corner so I
- 31:18Speaker 4: can be so you can see. So these are the categories, y'all. Again,
- 31:26Speaker 4: you can go over to South Carolina Book gass page
- 31:30Speaker 4: and reach out to patrise Grimball. You'll be able to see.
- 31:38Speaker 4: There's a couple of videos floating around also that have
- 31:43Speaker 4: a lot of information about the awards and how you
- 31:48Speaker 4: can do your nominations. So if you're out there, if
- 31:51Speaker 4: you know an author, or if you are an author
- 31:55Speaker 4: and want to self nominate, you can do self nominations.
- 31:59Speaker 4: Just make sure that you read the information, because I'm
- 32:03Speaker 4: sure she put the details. Wherever you're going to be
- 32:07Speaker 4: filling out the format, there's gonna be a form. But
- 32:11Speaker 4: if you have questions, here here's her information. Let me
- 32:15Speaker 4: see if I can enlarge that a little bit, so
- 32:18Speaker 4: y'all can see that because I really want y'all to
- 32:20Speaker 4: be able to connect with her and too, Yeah, I
- 32:24Speaker 4: really want you all to be able to connect with
- 32:26Speaker 4: her so that y'all can get you'all brands out there.
- 32:31Speaker 4: So let me make sure y'all can see this. Let

- 32:40Speaker 4: But I want to thank you guys for tuning in.
- 32:44Speaker 4: Like always, we try to make sure that these shows
- 32:47Speaker 4: go for it. Patrice had an emergency. Her baby had
- 32:51Speaker 4: a performance. She's doing a lot in school. They had
- 32:54Speaker 4: a performance in Spartanburg. Know they live in Charleston and
- 32:58Speaker 4: that's probably about three four hours away. They were late
- 33:02Speaker 4: getting started because of the weather. I think it's traffic
- 33:05Speaker 4: or whatever the situation was, they were gonna be late arriving.
- 33:11Speaker 4: Patresa had to go pick her baby up, so we
- 33:13Speaker 4: understand that. So y'all, I appreciate you guys for tuning in.
