- 0:00Speaker 1: Now the Mark Simone Show on seven ten woor Filling
- 0:05Speaker 1: in for Mark, here's Ken Rosatto. It's so nice to
- 0:08Speaker 1: be with you the day before Thanksgiving, Mark and join
- 0:11Speaker 1: in ice long weekend. Former New York City TV news
- 0:13Speaker 1: actor Ken Rosado in the seat. I feel very privileged
- 0:17Speaker 1: to be in this seat. I always feel like when
- 0:18Speaker 1: I get up from the seat, I kind of brush
- 0:20Speaker 1: it off from Mark to make sure it's back to
- 0:21Speaker 1: the way it was. For those who may or may
- 0:24Speaker 1: not remember, I'll remind you I was at Channel seven
- 0:28Speaker 1: here in New York doing the morning and noon show
- 0:30Speaker 1: there for about twenty years. A great time there, and
- 0:33Speaker 1: then prior to that, I was a Channel five. A
- 0:35Speaker 1: lot of people don't remember. I did Good Day Wake
- 0:37Speaker 1: Up for about a year and before I went to seven,
- 0:41Speaker 1: but it was also a lot of fun. I still
- 0:43Speaker 1: have friends there and these days I work at a
- 0:46Speaker 1: New Jersey based TV news channel. It's called on New
- 0:49Speaker 1: Jersey and you could stream it live or watch reruns
- 0:53Speaker 1: that we do at o NNJ dot COMNNJ dot com
- 0:58Speaker 1: little shameless plug for my chain, and it's a good
- 1:01Speaker 1: time there too. I run a food website too for
- 1:04Speaker 1: you foodies, called the food Dude. You can check it
- 1:07Speaker 1: out at the food dude dot Us. The food Dude
- 1:10Speaker 1: dot Us. A lot to talk about today. I'm sure
- 1:14Speaker 1: you've heard about the US District Judge Cameron McCowan Curry.
- 1:18Speaker 1: That's the radical leftist activist Biden appointee. Does that sound
- 1:22Speaker 1: negative on my part? Who threw out the James Comy
- 1:25Speaker 1: and Letitia James indictments. And of course Komy, he's so smug,
- 1:30Speaker 1: He's so smug. But methinks James Comy is not going
- 1:34Speaker 1: to end up happy at the end, because even if
- 1:37Speaker 1: he doesn't get convicted of anything, I think the point
- 1:41Speaker 1: of the Justice Department's actions are to make it so
- 1:44Speaker 1: that James Comy spends so much money defending himself that
- 1:48Speaker 1: he will be bankrupt. And I think that's the point.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Does that sound malicious? Yes? Is it something the Democrats
- 1:54Speaker 1: have a PhD In doing it to Republicans over the years.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Apps so frickin' loutely, And it's about they get a
- 2:00Speaker 1: little taste of their own medicine. Same thing with little
- 2:02Speaker 1: tissue James. You know she thinks she's off the hook,
- 2:04Speaker 1: you know, Tish. Sorry, Tish, you sign allegedly signed all
- 2:09Speaker 1: these documents saying that you would have as your primary
- 2:12Speaker 1: residence your residence in Virginia when you are the attorney
- 2:15Speaker 1: general of the state of New York and must have
- 2:17Speaker 1: there's a residency requirement here. Than who are you lying to?
- 2:20Speaker 1: Maybe you should leave the position of Attorney general in
- 2:23Speaker 1: New York, right because technically you're saying that Virginia's your
- 2:26Speaker 1: primary residence, so you should leave your position. That's what
- 2:30Speaker 1: you're saying. You lied to somebody, Either you lied on
- 2:34Speaker 1: your documents in Virginia or you lied to the people
- 2:37Speaker 1: of New York saying that this was your primary residence
- 2:39Speaker 1: when it wasn't. So one has to give. You can't
- 2:42Speaker 1: have both simultaneously. They're mutually exclusive. And of course her
- 2:47Speaker 1: argument was that the prosecutor her the judge in this
- 2:50Speaker 1: case who threw out the cases. The argument was the
- 2:53Speaker 1: prosecutor appointed by Trump was no longer legally in power
- 2:58Speaker 1: because it was a temporary an interim appointment by the
- 3:01Speaker 1: Justice Department, so the cases had to be thrown out. Well,
- 3:06Speaker 1: before you get too excited, the cases were dismissed in
- 3:09Speaker 1: a way called without prejudice. To explain that is, the
- 3:15Speaker 1: big professor at George Washington University, Jonathan Turley, listen up.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Poleticia James took a bit of a victory lap after
- 3:22Speaker 2: this decision, and I think she missed the two words
- 3:25Speaker 2: that followed dismissal, and it was dismissal without prejudice. So
- 3:31Speaker 2: the Trump administration, even if they lose on appeal, could
- 3:35Speaker 2: seek out a new indictment. This is not over for James,
- 3:39Speaker 2: or call me. The judge specifically said, I am not
- 3:42Speaker 2: going to grant your motion to dismiss with prejudice. I'm
- 3:46Speaker 2: going to allow them to cure this problem.
- 3:49Speaker 1: So this means the Justice Department can refile the charges
- 3:54Speaker 1: if they want to ensure Comy and James, if they
- 3:56Speaker 1: want to ensure those charges will be refiled. Keep gloating,
- 4:00Speaker 1: keep besmirching the Trump administration, you will guarantee or be
- 4:05Speaker 1: guaranteed that you will be back in court very soon.
- 4:08Speaker 1: The Trump administration apparently will first appeal the act of
- 4:11Speaker 1: as judge's decision to the Fourth US Circuit Court of
- 4:14Speaker 1: Appeals in Richmond, Virginia, which used to be considered kind
- 4:17Speaker 1: of a conservative court, but in recent years because of
- 4:21Speaker 1: Biden packing the courts with left wing extremists, on purpose.
- 4:26Speaker 1: It's not so much. It's more to the left. But
- 4:28Speaker 1: you know, the people who are in those districts who
- 4:33Speaker 1: would be on the grand jury, they tend to still
- 4:36Speaker 1: be a little right of center. So we'll see what
- 4:38Speaker 1: happens if it gets to that point. Seven ten wo
- 4:41Speaker 1: R The Voice of New York. It's Ken Rosanto in
- 4:43Speaker 1: for Mark and New Jersey lawmakers also have been busy.
- 4:48Speaker 1: They've been talking about all sorts of stuff. They want
- 4:50Speaker 1: to ban ice agents and other law enforcement who interact
- 4:54Speaker 1: with the public from wearing masks or disguises. There's a
- 4:58Speaker 1: bill that they introduced. It would allow undercover officers those
- 5:02Speaker 1: wearing shields that don't cover their faces or medical masks,
- 5:05Speaker 1: but they cannot wear something that specifically covers their masks.
- 5:09Speaker 1: It covers their faces rather not revealing their identities to
- 5:12Speaker 1: people on the street. And violators would face fines of
- 5:15Speaker 1: up to one thousand dollars and could get up to
- 5:18Speaker 1: six months in jail. But apparently they have not seen
- 5:22Speaker 1: something called the Constitution and the supremacy clause. So allow
- 5:27Speaker 1: me to read what the supremacy clause is. It's Article six,
- 5:31Speaker 1: paragraph two of the US Constitution. It says quote, a
- 5:34Speaker 1: state or municipality cannot pass a law that interferes with
- 5:38Speaker 1: the execution of federal law or the duties of federal agents.
- 5:44Speaker 1: So maybe the good state senators in New Jersey and
- 5:46Speaker 1: maybe they missed that day in school and our later
- 5:49Speaker 1: in this hour, in our next half hour, we will
- 5:51Speaker 1: speak with Congressional candidate Billy Prempa. He is a Republican
- 5:55Speaker 1: running for Congress in New Jersey's ninth congressional district, and
- 5:59Speaker 1: we'll talk to him about the foolishness of states or
- 6:01Speaker 1: local municipalities trying to pass what are obviously just symbolic
- 6:05Speaker 1: laws that cannot be enforced. And also in New Jersey,
- 6:09Speaker 1: funding for beach replenishment was eliminated in the fiscal twenty
- 6:14Speaker 1: twenty five federal budget, and that could spell trouble for
- 6:16Speaker 1: the New Jersey Sure only four of the twelve required
- 6:20Speaker 1: federal spending bills passed. The bill that would fund the
- 6:23Speaker 1: Army Corps of Engineers is now under continuing resolution thanks
- 6:27Speaker 1: to the Democrats. Without federal dollars, many New Jersey beach
- 6:31Speaker 1: towns are going to have to self fund erosion control
- 6:34Speaker 1: or look for another solution. Well, some local officials are
- 6:38Speaker 1: even looking into new erosion control systems that would be
- 6:40Speaker 1: less expensive, including offshore sand filled barriers. That's what they
- 6:45Speaker 1: do down in Florida, by the way, because if they
- 6:47Speaker 1: had to replenish the sand after every storm, they'd have
- 6:50Speaker 1: been bankrupt decades ago. So look to states like Florida,
- 6:54Speaker 1: Texas or even other countries where they're constantly figuring a
- 6:57Speaker 1: way to preserve their sand. So now question is, with
- 7:00Speaker 1: the Continuing Resolution still providing funding at last year's level,
- 7:05Speaker 1: why does New Jersey need so much more money in
- 7:07Speaker 1: this year's budget? I mean, seriously, how much more expensive
- 7:10Speaker 1: is it to preserve your shore this year versus last
- 7:13Speaker 1: Did the Army Corps engineers like jack up their prices?
- 7:16Speaker 1: You know, we didn't have a big event like Superstorm Sandy.
- 7:19Speaker 1: So why do you think it's going to be so
- 7:21Speaker 1: much more money this year to replenish your shoreline. It's
- 7:24Speaker 1: because democrats in a state like New Jersey are always
- 7:27Speaker 1: looking for more money, more money, more money, more money.
- 7:30Speaker 1: In their mindset, just can't get enough. It's his money,
- 7:32Speaker 1: money money, and it's about taking it from you and
- 7:35Speaker 1: giving it to me. If the state of New Jersey
- 7:37Speaker 1: wasn't wasting billions upon billions of dollars to pay for
- 7:41Speaker 1: the nine hundred thousand plus illegal aliens that we currently
- 7:46Speaker 1: know of, let alone the countless more that we and
- 7:48Speaker 1: I say week as I live in New Jersey. Not
- 7:51Speaker 1: counting the countless more that we don't know of, New
- 7:53Speaker 1: Jersey would have tons of extra money without having to
- 7:56Speaker 1: raise taxes. It's liberals in New Jersey who simply do
- 7:59Speaker 1: not put two and two together, nor do they care
- 8:02Speaker 1: to do so. To realize that if you want lower
- 8:04Speaker 1: electric rates, less congestion on highways, teachers who could take
- 8:08Speaker 1: better care of your child because there would be fewer
- 8:11Speaker 1: students per classroom, not to mention lower crime, stop voting
- 8:16Speaker 1: Democrat in order to change the state's sanctuary status so
- 8:21Speaker 1: as not to permit this huge number of illegal aliens.
- 8:24Speaker 1: And this is not an anti immigrant sentiment because my
- 8:27Speaker 1: family are immigrants. This is an anti illegal immigrant sentiment,
- 8:32Speaker 1: So stop conflating all immigrants with illegal immigrants. If the
- 8:36Speaker 1: immigrants were here illegally, they'd be paying taxes, they would
- 8:39Speaker 1: have Social Security numbers, they would be contributing members of society. Okay,
- 8:43Speaker 1: we would have kids that we could account for in
- 8:46Speaker 1: schools and with the additional local taxes the parents would
- 8:49Speaker 1: be paying. We could build more schools and hire more teachers,
- 8:52Speaker 1: but under the current federal law, we have to educate
- 8:55Speaker 1: every student who comes in, whether legal or not. If
- 8:58Speaker 1: they don't speak English, we have to hire teachers who
- 9:01Speaker 1: can speak multiple languages, and that costs even more. Plus
- 9:04Speaker 1: we have to provide two to three meals a day
- 9:06Speaker 1: at public schools for all students, including the children of
- 9:09Speaker 1: the illegal migrants, under the law. Liberals love to use
- 9:13Speaker 1: the word sustainable. Sustainable, Well, look, it is simply not
- 9:18Speaker 1: sustainable in the state of New Jersey when ten percent
- 9:22Speaker 1: of the current population is illegal. Think about that. How
- 9:26Speaker 1: staggering is that a ten one in ten people in
- 9:29Speaker 1: the state of New Jersey that we know of, that's
- 9:32Speaker 1: an absolute fact that we know of, is an illegal alien.
- 9:36Speaker 1: That is the approximate number, probably more than that. At
- 9:39Speaker 1: what point do we say enough is enough? You just
- 9:43Speaker 1: can't have an open door and let anybody in and
- 9:47Speaker 1: expect that it's not going to have a negative, deleterious
- 9:49Speaker 1: impact on our community. Do we stop when it's fifty
- 9:53Speaker 1: percent of illegal aliens? It's ridiculous. We literally have handed over
- 9:57Speaker 1: our nation to anybody who wanted it for the t taking.
- 10:00Speaker 1: And you could thank the Democrats and the Biden administration
- 10:03Speaker 1: for the last four years for doing that to us.
- 10:06Speaker 1: That's exactly the legacy of Joe Biden and the Democrats.
- 10:09Speaker 1: But yet they get rewarded for it because you have
- 10:13Speaker 1: liberal Democrats especially and I might let me let me
- 10:16Speaker 1: single out some groups tends to be white liberal women
- 10:20Speaker 1: who are like thirty thirty five and under. They specifically
- 10:24Speaker 1: they're like the largest group of hardcore Democrats who will
- 10:27Speaker 1: never vote anything else. I know you're going to say,
- 10:29Speaker 1: I'm a Republican kid, I read it.
- 10:31Speaker 2: No.
- 10:32Speaker 1: But when in terms of groups and painting a broad
- 10:34Speaker 1: brush there, that group seems to be like unapologetically Democrat,
- 10:39Speaker 1: you cannot even bring it up with that group. For
- 10:42Speaker 1: whatever reason, I think a lot of brainwashing in school
- 10:45Speaker 1: and on social media has to do with that. Seven
- 10:48Speaker 1: ten wo r the Voice of New York Ken Rosatto
- 10:51Speaker 1: in for Mark the phone lines are open eight hundred
- 10:53Speaker 1: three two one zero seven ten. Hey. There was a
- 10:56Speaker 1: New Rutgers University led climate study trying to ski the
- 11:00Speaker 1: dickens out of people into thinking New Jersey could see
- 11:03Speaker 1: up to a three point eight foot sea level rise
- 11:06Speaker 1: by the year twenty one hundred under current carbon emission.
- 11:10Speaker 1: By the way, whenever I do liberal talk, I'm going
- 11:12Speaker 1: to add a lisp. I have that prerogative. That number
- 11:15Speaker 1: could rise to four point five feet if ice sheet
- 11:18Speaker 1: melt accelerates. I'll tell you what. Let's give cows broccoli
- 11:23Speaker 1: to eat, and their farts will cause the oceans to
- 11:25Speaker 1: rise a bazillion feet. I mean, scientists warned. Can I
- 11:29Speaker 1: say farts?
- 11:30Speaker 2: Oh?
- 11:30Speaker 1: Okay, Mark doesn't say farts, does he? Okay, let's say flatulence.
- 11:34Speaker 1: I'm sorry, so rewind the tape. Is okay, good, So
- 11:37Speaker 1: we'll say flatchelo. Okay, replace the word farts with flatulence.
- 11:40Speaker 1: Good science has warned that flood risk is increasing rapidly
- 11:44Speaker 1: across the state, particularly for coastal and tidal river communities.
- 11:48Speaker 1: That's the quote they gave us from Rutgers. Now, it
- 11:50Speaker 1: should be mentioned that many environmental studies make these scary
- 11:53Speaker 1: predictions that can never be proven. Rush Limbay used to
- 11:57Speaker 1: talk about this, God Rest your soul, Rush, because by
- 12:00Speaker 1: the time this would come true, you and I are
- 12:04Speaker 1: going to be dead. Twenty one hundred. That's the year
- 12:07Speaker 1: twenty one hundred. Let's see I'll be one hundred and
- 12:09Speaker 1: how many years old. Not, so why don't we all
- 12:12Speaker 1: get together in seventy five years and see if it
- 12:14Speaker 1: was true. Every prediction these liberals, environmentalists, they've all made.
- 12:18Speaker 1: It has not come to pass, none of it. It
- 12:21Speaker 1: should also be mentioned, by the way, the organizations that
- 12:24Speaker 1: finance studies like this one at Rutgers only finance studies
- 12:27Speaker 1: that set out to prove sea levels arising and the
- 12:31Speaker 1: cause is human negligence. You do not get the financing
- 12:35Speaker 1: unless that is the premise. So in others, if I say, well,
- 12:39Speaker 1: I'll take a look at whether humans have an influence
- 12:42Speaker 1: on the environment and sea levels rising, you don't get
- 12:45Speaker 1: the money. So an organization like Rutgers says, okay, we're
- 12:49Speaker 1: going to set out to prove this is so, now
- 12:52Speaker 1: they get one hundred million dollar just making up the
- 12:54Speaker 1: number one hundred million. Now they get one hundred million.
- 12:56Speaker 1: They go out and they could finance whatever classes and
- 12:59Speaker 1: they could run these studies. But you have to have
- 13:02Speaker 1: that as the premis. So you start out on a
- 13:05Speaker 1: liberal premise. So just to qualify that's what you have
- 13:08Speaker 1: to say. It's unbelievable. Nowhere in the equation is whether
- 13:13Speaker 1: sea levels are actually rising? Are humans impacting sea levels?
- 13:18Speaker 1: Is carbon emission? Because these leftist radical scientists environmentalists are
- 13:23Speaker 1: convinced that humans are causing too much carbon to be
- 13:26Speaker 1: emitted and that the excess carbon is raising temperatures, and
- 13:30Speaker 1: the temperatures are melting polarized caps, and the polarized caps
- 13:32Speaker 1: melting or causing sea levels to rise. So they start
- 13:34Speaker 1: off with that foregone conclusion. Then they ask scientists and
- 13:39Speaker 1: collegists to reinforce their crackpot theories that can't be proven
- 13:43Speaker 1: by giving them lots of money they get from environmentalists,
- 13:45Speaker 1: wacko donors, and liberal government entities. Now, there are a
- 13:49Speaker 1: lot of scientists who don't believe those theories at all.
- 13:52Speaker 1: They believe climate is changing, but they don't believe humans
- 13:55Speaker 1: have a significant impact. Maybe a tiny one, but not
- 13:58Speaker 1: much because the climate has been changing way for humans
- 14:00Speaker 1: came and way after humans are going to be gone.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Climate has always changed. Just look at history, and there
- 14:05Speaker 1: is a way to do that by taking ice core samples,
- 14:08Speaker 1: et cetera. The Earth has gotten warmer, then it's gotten colder,
- 14:11Speaker 1: then it's gotten warmer, then it's gotten colder. Greenland perfect example.
- 14:15Speaker 1: The name Greenland is called greenland because it used to
- 14:18Speaker 1: be green. Now it's ice covered. So yes, there is
- 14:21Speaker 1: climate change, but humans didn't cause it because it turned
- 14:24Speaker 1: icy way before we had carbon emissions like this. There's
- 14:27Speaker 1: documentation all about it, but we could talk about that
- 14:30Speaker 1: on and on and on. Just don't take what the
- 14:33Speaker 1: liberals are saying seriously and always take these studies with
- 14:36Speaker 1: a grain of salt. Seven ten w R The Voice
- 14:39Speaker 1: of New York Mark taking a nice long weekend today,
- 14:42Speaker 1: Ken Rozotto filling and taken calls at eight hundred and
- 14:44Speaker 1: three to two one zero seven ten. Whatever you want
- 14:46Speaker 1: to talk about, politics, even Thanksgiving recipes, anything, and coming
- 14:50Speaker 1: up later in the show, we'll talk with New Jersey
- 14:52Speaker 1: Republican congressional candidate Billy Preppa about the Garden State's new
- 14:55Speaker 1: bill to make it illegal for ice agents to wear masks.
- 14:58Speaker 1: It's eleven twenty one wires what you're listening to, and
- 15:01Speaker 1: we're coming right back
