Spokane Fires: Containment Gains, Arrests Made | Seattle News
Three major wildfires in Spokane—Old Trails, Fairview, and Autumn Lane—have burned nearly 10,000 acres and destroyed over 900 homes since early August. More than 1,700 firefighters are battling the flames, with containment rising: Autumn Lane at 73%, and the others at 53%. A 37-year-old man, Aaron Farinacci, was arrested in connection with the Old Trails Fire and is now facing an arson charge after his lawyer requested a competency evaluation; his bond was raised to $2 million.
