- 0:00Speaker 1: The force will be with you all ways.
- 0:19Speaker 2: You know. Everyone, Welcome back to another episode of Star
- 0:22Speaker 2: Wars lights your home on the Geek Ultimate Allians podcast
- 0:25Speaker 2: network for any and all things Star Wars, where we
- 0:27Speaker 2: had six shows, seven days a week with all your
- 0:32Speaker 2: favorite Geek Ultimate Alliance news, whether it's DC, Marvel, Power Rangers,
- 0:39Speaker 2: or Star Wars Were Animated or other. Chuck, we have
- 0:45Speaker 2: it all. You know, it's the best. But y'all, we
- 0:50Speaker 2: are Star Wars and I'm Katie. We are not Star Wars.
- 0:55Speaker 2: We are Star Wars Alliance. I'm your host, Katie, and
- 0:59Speaker 2: with me as privy usual is Clay. Clay. How are
- 1:02Speaker 2: you doing today?
- 1:04Speaker 1: Well, today itself has kind of sucked. I went to
- 1:10Speaker 1: do some errands this morning and then on my way
- 1:16Speaker 1: back home, well not even on my way. I got
- 1:18Speaker 1: in my car after I got out of the bank
- 1:21Speaker 1: and battery died. Oh no. Instead of just calling up
- 1:29Speaker 1: a friend to come give me a jump because I
- 1:31Speaker 1: have jumper cables in my car, Abby calls a part
- 1:38Speaker 1: of our insurance. They have like a you know, let's
- 1:42Speaker 1: let's get somebody to jump your car. It took them
- 1:45Speaker 1: an hour and fifteen minutes to get to me. They
- 1:53Speaker 1: were there for less than one hundred and twenty seconds
- 2:00Speaker 1: and then they said, hey, you're good to go, have
- 2:04Speaker 1: a nice day, and then just drove off. And I'm like, uh, okay,
- 2:13Speaker 1: there was no assessment of the situation. There was nothing.
- 2:20Speaker 1: So I completely wasted away for an hour today.
- 2:24Speaker 2: Oh sucks.
- 2:26Speaker 1: I like whenever I have an unplanned like, hey, all
- 2:32Speaker 1: of your plans just stop for this moment and there's
- 2:37Speaker 1: literally nothing for me to do, I get really like
- 2:43Speaker 1: ticked off. I don't know, it's just it's just like
- 2:45Speaker 1: my entire day feels ruined for this one moment. So
- 2:52Speaker 1: that wasn't fun. But I did come back to be
- 2:56Speaker 1: able to rewatch episodes eight and none of and Or,
- 3:02Speaker 1: which we will be talking about tonight. We're gonna be
- 3:06Speaker 1: talking about episode seven, eight and nine, and Kate, I
- 3:12Speaker 1: don't know if you know this, I'm pretty sure you did,
- 3:15Speaker 1: because I'm pretty sure we actually have it in our
- 3:17Speaker 1: GA chat. Episodes eight and nine are some of the
- 3:24Speaker 1: top ranked not Star Wars, but overall TV episodes in
- 3:35Speaker 1: the history of television.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I had not seen that in the chat, but I
- 3:42Speaker 2: had seen that around town with just any and all
- 3:46Speaker 2: social media formats and realistically, guys, I don't disagree at
- 3:53Speaker 2: all whatsoever.
- 3:56Speaker 1: It was so good we're gonna be talking about these
- 3:59Speaker 1: two episodes. But to know that everybody else out there
- 4:03Speaker 1: mm hmm is you know you laterally, but I can't yeah, uh,
- 4:12Speaker 1: able to say, hey, this is good Star Wars.
- 4:16Speaker 2: This isn't just good Star Wars. This is good TV. Yes,
- 4:21Speaker 2: like yeah, and it is still like it's not like
- 4:26Speaker 2: it's not the Acolyte in terms of like a huge
- 4:29Speaker 2: cast like full of like diversity, but we have Latino representation.
- 4:34Speaker 2: It is still a vastly diverse cast. It's not just
- 4:38Speaker 2: white male characters on TV. That sounded bad comparing it
- 4:43Speaker 2: to the Aclte with diversity. I'm sorry, Like I just
- 4:47Speaker 2: meant like female and like LGBTQ characters.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Yeah. Yes, But and also again, the the problem that
- 4:56Speaker 1: we have always had with these television shows, and Or
- 4:59Speaker 1: unfortunately does have this whole lot, but the lack of aliens,
- 5:05Speaker 1: especially in Gorman by the way, there was not a
- 5:11Speaker 1: single I mean technically, everybody who's gonna, of course say
- 5:15Speaker 1: everybody from Gorman is an alien, blah blah blah, like
- 5:18Speaker 1: they were humanoid with human actors. There was no prosthetic
- 5:24Speaker 1: actors to represent a of course widely known alien species
- 5:31Speaker 1: within Star Wars. That's what we're always talking about. So, Katie,
- 5:39Speaker 1: in these three episodes, we have epic, Yes, I was,
- 5:47Speaker 1: I was. I was trying to point out the characters
- 5:50Speaker 1: as far as character arts that we're going to be
- 5:52Speaker 1: talking about.
- 5:52Speaker 2: So we have Cassian who overlaps with Dedra and Cyril yep,
- 6:01Speaker 2: and then we have Will and then we have Bis
- 6:06Speaker 2: and Cassian. So realistically, y'all, we have basically in this arc,
- 6:12Speaker 2: we have a setup arc, and then we have a
- 6:16Speaker 2: finishing like a middle arc, which has the main characters.
- 6:20Speaker 2: But then like Mad Mathma Bail don't appear to the
- 6:23Speaker 2: last episode. Yeah, the whole last episode is on Courusant
- 6:31Speaker 2: and it is mod the speech we knew man Mathmast
- 6:35Speaker 2: making and Cassian getting her to safety afterwards. Like that's
- 6:42Speaker 2: the gist of that episode if you wanted the shortened
- 6:45Speaker 2: sweet Like, that's basically what it is. Is. Episode seven
- 6:51Speaker 2: is set up. Episode eight is garment massacre. Episode nine
- 6:57Speaker 2: is speech.
- 6:59Speaker 1: Ye it's absolutely wild. I'm just that statement, and then
- 7:03Speaker 1: we can we can move forward with the actual conversations
- 7:06Speaker 1: with character acts. This could have legitimately been the end
- 7:11Speaker 1: of and or season two, and I think I would
- 7:15Speaker 1: have been absolutely satisfied with the way that it ended.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Episode nine ended with of course, uh, the rebellion rewiring
- 7:30Speaker 1: the u k Ex droid and yes, and like that's
- 7:38Speaker 1: how it ends, and like you could you could take
- 7:41Speaker 1: the leap from there to Rogue one, yep, And I'm like,
- 7:49Speaker 1: I don't.
- 7:49Speaker 2: Know, I would not be satisfied really, And I'm gonna
- 7:55Speaker 2: because of Big leaving, I don't want to jump straight
- 8:02Speaker 2: into Rogue one from there.
- 8:04Speaker 1: I will Bix leaving. I have really big feelings about
- 8:09Speaker 1: that I know are not very popular, and I'm I'm
- 8:16Speaker 1: probably gonna get a lot of flak for it if
- 8:18Speaker 1: anybody were to ever, like genuinely try to go after
- 8:23Speaker 1: me for it. But yeah, I have actually big emotions
- 8:29Speaker 1: towards Bix's decision that she made on that last episode. Uh.
- 8:40Speaker 1: But let's go ahead, And who do you want to
- 8:42Speaker 1: start with?
- 8:45Speaker 2: I would say, like, realistically, this one, I feel like
- 8:49Speaker 2: you have to go episode by episode, like this can't
- 8:52Speaker 2: just be arcs.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I feel like, yeah, like I think you're right, just
- 8:56Speaker 1: because of the way that the of Course Gorman massacre
- 9:01Speaker 1: takes place in episode eight. You can't just talk about
- 9:06Speaker 1: it in blotches, yeah, with how we're gonna be talking
- 9:12Speaker 1: about it with character arcs and then leave stuff behind
- 9:15Speaker 1: because we're like, oh wait, that's somebody else's character. We'll
- 9:18Speaker 1: talk about that later. So I think this is genuinely
- 9:22Speaker 1: the one time that we may have to talk episode
- 9:25Speaker 1: by episode.
- 9:26Speaker 2: Yep.
- 9:26Speaker 1: So episode seven, Episode seven is titled The Messenger. This
- 9:37Speaker 1: is when things are ramping up in Gorment. We see
- 9:45Speaker 1: that Dedra is already on the planet. Yep.
- 9:52Speaker 2: She's been controlling it for like the last year and
- 9:56Speaker 2: just steadily building the misinformation. Tre and Cyril feel like
- 10:03Speaker 2: Cyril had an affair with somebody and was like in
- 10:10Speaker 2: the process of like, oh, I'm gonna go break up
- 10:14Speaker 2: with Dedra, but then he took too long to break
- 10:16Speaker 2: up with Dedra, so somebody was like, yeah, no, no thanks,
- 10:20Speaker 2: I don't like you anymore. And her name is Inza,
- 10:24Speaker 2: which I don't blame her if that was the case,
- 10:28Speaker 2: I don't at all whatsoever. I just have to say
- 10:31Speaker 2: that it really felt like Dedra and Cyril there was
- 10:37Speaker 2: something missing or not Dedra and Cerel and Inza in
- 10:41Speaker 2: Cyril there was something missing in the context before that,
- 10:44Speaker 2: because it felt like they had built up chemistry over
- 10:48Speaker 2: the missing year in this story, and so he cares
- 10:54Speaker 2: about her and is like, oh, something's happening with Deedra.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Dedra has not told me the whole truth, but he's
- 11:00Speaker 2: scared of Dedra.
- 11:04Speaker 1: Well for a little bit, we'll just say, we'll just
- 11:08Speaker 1: say it that way. So, uh, Cyril talks to Dedra,
- 11:16Speaker 1: Dedra saying like, hey, things are things are happening. Everything's
- 11:22Speaker 1: gonna be so good and we're gonna be fine. And
- 11:26Speaker 1: then of course he starts to try and like question it.
- 11:29Speaker 1: She grabs his face kisses him. This is I think
- 11:34Speaker 1: the first kiss between the two of them that we
- 11:39Speaker 1: have ever seen.
- 11:41Speaker 2: Yeah, I think so, which is yeah, because in the
- 11:47Speaker 2: last arc it was turn the lights out, Yeah, yeah,
- 11:52Speaker 2: that was romance.
- 11:55Speaker 1: This she is outwardly showing, and I think this is
- 12:00Speaker 1: part of the desperation that Dedra has towards Cyril. Hey
- 12:06Speaker 1: don't fuck this up for me, or hey don't fuck
- 12:09Speaker 1: this up for the empire is really the idea around
- 12:12Speaker 1: all of this, and she knows that that she has
- 12:18Speaker 1: like this hold over him in some capacity. But from
- 12:25Speaker 1: there we uh, we get little whispers in Coroussant. We
- 12:33Speaker 1: have man Manfa for just a small sliver of time
- 12:40Speaker 1: talking to the representative for Gorman is like, hey, like
- 12:44Speaker 1: things are not looking good. I think something's about to happen,
- 12:48Speaker 1: Like we need to get some things like up and running.
- 12:51Speaker 1: And this is kind of just showing how that information
- 12:54Speaker 1: is coming from Gormant and hitting chorussots. But the next scene.
- 13:00Speaker 1: I wanted to know how you felt about this next
- 13:03Speaker 1: scene because it is not something that we have touched
- 13:09Speaker 1: upon in and or what we are on Yavin. You're
- 13:20Speaker 1: on Yavin and.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Bix and Vell have left Luthen behind. Cassine apparently still
- 13:29Speaker 2: does like odd jobs here and there, but he is
- 13:32Speaker 2: helping build the foundation of the rebellion on Yavin. And
- 13:37Speaker 2: this is a little strange to me because we basically,
- 13:43Speaker 2: like I thought we were going to get Dantoine at
- 13:46Speaker 2: some point, but it feels like we just kind of
- 13:49Speaker 2: went straight to yaviin as the coordinated rebel base of
- 13:54Speaker 2: So I would be interested to see if maybe like
- 13:58Speaker 2: the Mask of Fear or Rain of the Empire, excuse me,
- 14:02Speaker 2: the Rain of the Empire trilogy will eventually touch on
- 14:04Speaker 2: Danteen because of that aspect, like, I felt like it's
- 14:11Speaker 2: mentioned so prevently in a new Hope he would have
- 14:13Speaker 2: wanted to hit that.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I would really hope so yeah, because the fact that
- 14:19Speaker 1: like she of course she being lea, blurts it out
- 14:24Speaker 1: to Targan. The idea is that they did have it
- 14:27Speaker 1: and then it then moved to Yabon because of the
- 14:31Speaker 1: fact that they were afraid that, hey, something might happen.
- 14:35Speaker 1: I think there's you know, leaks, you know, getting towards
- 14:39Speaker 1: us and everything, so they moved it to Gabon. I
- 14:43Speaker 1: do want to say, since we're talking about the rebellion
- 14:45Speaker 1: as a whole kind of I want to make the
- 14:50Speaker 1: small comment of when man Mathma is first seen in
- 14:55Speaker 1: this episode, she's getting out of the vehicle with her driver, uh,
- 15:00Speaker 1: and her driver is asking about her schedule. When this
- 15:05Speaker 1: first happened, I was like, oh, no, time to get
- 15:11Speaker 1: a new driver, and then she legitimately says, ope, I
- 15:14Speaker 1: need to get a new driver. I like how Mama
- 15:19Speaker 1: is not in the thick of it, but she understands
- 15:25Speaker 1: the things to look out for.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Yeah, And I really like how Insin in that same
- 15:31Speaker 2: scene was like, Nah, the next one they send us
- 15:34Speaker 2: might be smart like that made me laugh so hard.
- 15:39Speaker 2: All Right, y'all, we're gonna hit our first ad break
- 15:41Speaker 2: and we will be right back in three two one,
- 15:46Speaker 2: because especially with how he ends up in the last episode,
- 15:50Speaker 2: like it just kind of played out the whole way.
- 15:54Speaker 1: Yeah, but the scene that we were talking about, Bix
- 16:00Speaker 1: and Cassian get a little bit closer to the actual
- 16:05Speaker 1: base in Aniaba because they have like the small little
- 16:08Speaker 1: hut that is their like home, and then like closer
- 16:13Speaker 1: of course, is the base they are going to have.
- 16:22Speaker 1: Cassian's shoulder looked at, he heard it in some sort
- 16:26Speaker 1: of way.
- 16:27Speaker 2: And he thinks he's going to a meeting.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Yes, yes, whereas Bis has tricked him into meeting with
- 16:38Speaker 1: a force healer and he even mentions it. He says,
- 16:43Speaker 1: I hate force healers. You know. They get into the
- 16:46Speaker 1: small little like bickering thing, and immediately the woman that
- 16:52Speaker 1: is in question that we see here kind of in
- 16:54Speaker 1: the background, she stops what she's doing and she immediately
- 16:58Speaker 1: turns to Cassie. And this was kind of a really
- 17:01Speaker 1: odd and interesting interaction. Yeah, how did you feel about
- 17:05Speaker 1: this acknowledging, of course, this big thing that is the
- 17:11Speaker 1: force within this universe? You know, I feel like it
- 17:14Speaker 1: needed to be addressed in some sort of capacity. We've
- 17:18Speaker 1: heard people say throughout this season and last season, may
- 17:22Speaker 1: the Force be with you, but like, we've never touched
- 17:25Speaker 1: on anybody being for sensitive. So how did you feel
- 17:30Speaker 1: about actually having a force sensitive individual in this season?
- 17:36Speaker 2: I thought it was neat. I thought it was a
- 17:38Speaker 2: little strange because I feel like, from what we've learned
- 17:43Speaker 2: over all of the Empire era fiction stories that have
- 17:52Speaker 2: been told, comics, TV, otherwise kind of thing, the Empire
- 17:57Speaker 2: is always looking for force users. So I felt like
- 18:02Speaker 2: if Cassia knew what a force knew enough about what
- 18:06Speaker 2: a force healer was, I felt like the Empire would
- 18:10Speaker 2: have been more interested in them. So I would love
- 18:14Speaker 2: to delve into this aspect because we know like the
- 18:17Speaker 2: force is used for healing, but there's never really I
- 18:22Speaker 2: don't really recall there ever being like a force healer
- 18:26Speaker 2: sect where all they did was heal kind of thing
- 18:30Speaker 2: like in like on Jetta in the Higher Republic.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Yeah, no, you're You're absolutely right. So I think for
- 18:38Speaker 1: the most part, when talking about special categorized individuals that
- 18:48Speaker 1: are force users, a lot of that stuff was always
- 18:53Speaker 1: of course in legends and in video games and things
- 18:58Speaker 1: like that. There was never a real prominent discussion in
- 19:04Speaker 1: any canon novels or movies or anything else that really
- 19:09Speaker 1: touched on things like that. The only thing we ever
- 19:14Speaker 1: heard is of course, using the force for defensive reasonings,
- 19:17Speaker 1: and they use the force to meditate. Like that's really
- 19:21Speaker 1: all we ever heard until we saw, of course, that
- 19:25Speaker 1: one episode of The Mandalorian because it was coinciding with
- 19:31Speaker 1: what we would eventually see in the Rise of Skywalker.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Correct, So to have a force healer in and Or,
- 19:41Speaker 2: I feel like it makes the most sense as a
- 19:45Speaker 2: force representation in this story because it's a necessary thing.
- 19:52Speaker 2: It's not super fiction ing because it's just like another
- 19:57Speaker 2: form of doctor basically, Like so, I liked this connection
- 20:05Speaker 2: where and you don't have to be super showy with
- 20:08Speaker 2: it either, because it's healing, so there can be no
- 20:13Speaker 2: physical that's the wrong way to phrase it, because Cassie's
- 20:18Speaker 2: looking for a blaster burn heel, which is physical. But
- 20:21Speaker 2: it's like you don't see like telekinesis on screen with it.
- 20:26Speaker 2: It's very spiritual, it's very connecting. It's a different type
- 20:32Speaker 2: of force using, which feels more down to earth versus
- 20:37Speaker 2: fantasy is what I'm trying to try to say. So
- 20:41Speaker 2: I really thought it was a good connection to the
- 20:44Speaker 2: fantasy elements of the show. It reminds you that, hey,
- 20:50Speaker 2: we are connected to a galaxy far far away. Because
- 20:54Speaker 2: a lot of people that was their biggest critique with
- 20:56Speaker 2: season one is like, oh, it doesn't feel like Star Wars,
- 20:59Speaker 2: and I don't know if that's a good thing or
- 21:00Speaker 2: a bad thing. But now that you have this element here,
- 21:03Speaker 2: will people then say, oh, okay, we do have that
- 21:06Speaker 2: Force connection, so we're good now.
- 21:08Speaker 1: Yeah. Andrew Hayley is actually in the chat. He just
- 21:13Speaker 1: says episode seven through nine of and Or season two
- 21:16Speaker 1: or truly some of the best TV episodes I've ever seen,
- 21:19Speaker 1: a masterclass in storyteller. Okay, yes it is. And I
- 21:25Speaker 1: do want to mention in this conversation with the Force Healer.
- 21:31Speaker 1: After the Healer does what she needs to do, the
- 21:35Speaker 1: Cassie and Cassian walks away and they have a small
- 21:38Speaker 1: discussion they being the Healer and fix This is a
- 21:44Speaker 1: very important conversation for what's going to be happening at
- 21:49Speaker 1: the end of episode nine. I don't like it, but
- 21:55Speaker 1: it is what it is. This conversation is basically the
- 22:00Speaker 1: Healer tells Bix that Cassian is a messenger aka the
- 22:05Speaker 1: title of the episode, and this you know.
- 22:11Speaker 2: And she also sorry. The forced Healer also asks who
- 22:15Speaker 2: are you to Cassian, which is the title of episode eight.
- 22:21Speaker 1: Yes, uh, which on me, And then of course the
- 22:27Speaker 1: question was asked again in episode eight, which feels a
- 22:31Speaker 1: lot more relevant. But uh, but yeah, uh, the conversation
- 22:36Speaker 1: with that is gonna weigh heavy on Bis And you
- 22:40Speaker 1: could already tell in the middle of the conversation Bix's
- 22:44Speaker 1: the emotions or you can everything is written on her face.
- 22:48Speaker 1: You could really tell how she is feeling through this
- 22:50Speaker 1: entire conversation. So from there, uh, we get to see
- 23:04Speaker 1: the arrival of what was this team called at Gorman
- 23:11Speaker 1: with uh, you said his his name in texts? Will? No,
- 23:17Speaker 1: not Will? It was Imurial.
- 23:24Speaker 2: He's irrelevant. Basically, he's there. He's there, he's leading a team.
- 23:34Speaker 2: I can't find his name in texts, but he's leading
- 23:37Speaker 2: a team of basically green trainees from Imperial academies. And
- 23:44Speaker 2: as soon as they came on screen, my first thought was, Hey,
- 23:49Speaker 2: there canon Fodder Bloy Bloy, that's it. Bloy sounds the
- 23:55Speaker 2: actor for Bloy sounds a heck of a lot like
- 23:58Speaker 2: Andy Sarkis in the Darkena episodes. I literally because I
- 24:08Speaker 2: kept missing his face for some reason. I would look
- 24:11Speaker 2: away or I like was like looking somewhere else on
- 24:15Speaker 2: the screen, and I was like, that can't be Andy Circus,
- 24:19Speaker 2: Like why would Andy end up as a soldier in
- 24:22Speaker 2: the Imperial Army? Like that doesn't make any sense. And
- 24:25Speaker 2: it wasn't, by the way, but I was stuck on
- 24:27Speaker 2: that for a hot minute. I was like Dad's Andie Circus,
- 24:34Speaker 2: not Andy Cirkus. But anyways, so yeah, as soon as
- 24:39Speaker 2: they came on screen with that team, I was like,
- 24:43Speaker 2: they're Canid fighter, Like they're making a point to talk
- 24:46Speaker 2: about how they are like very green trainees, like fresh
- 24:50Speaker 2: out of the academy, like have no business being on
- 24:54Speaker 2: the hot center of Imperial Like they don't call it warfare,
- 25:00Speaker 2: but warfare in this instance, like on like a battlefront. Uh,
- 25:05Speaker 2: Like they need to be on the back of the
- 25:08Speaker 2: lines learning and Dedra and the commander who gets involved
- 25:14Speaker 2: is like the pull he is the trigger the Dedra
- 25:17Speaker 2: is pulling. He's like, no, they're perfect, Like I got this.
- 25:20Speaker 2: I was like cannon fodder And yes they were cannon fodder.
- 25:24Speaker 2: I just have to go ahead and say that.
- 25:29Speaker 1: The but then well, the end of the episode is
- 25:32Speaker 1: is literally just Will and uh Cassian have arrived on Gorman.
- 25:40Speaker 2: They yeah, because Will shows up on Yavin and is like,
- 25:44Speaker 2: come with me, I need you to help me with Gorman.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Dedra is there. You will shoot Dedra and you will
- 25:50Speaker 2: kill her like kind of thing like, and he brings
- 25:53Speaker 2: up Feryx. It's the first time we've heard Ferrix really mentioned.
- 25:57Speaker 2: I feel like, but Will is like, you will kill
- 26:01Speaker 2: her because for Pharynx like stoone in Sky and like,
- 26:08Speaker 2: so I've kind of I having that brought up makes
- 26:12Speaker 2: me miss Ferris more and I feel like there could
- 26:14Speaker 2: have been more mentions potentially, But you also killed off
- 26:17Speaker 2: Brazzo in in the first arc, so maybe not, but yes,
- 26:29Speaker 2: so Will takes off with Cassian and Cassian has to
- 26:38Speaker 2: it's not do Donna, but it's oh gosh, what's the
- 26:41Speaker 2: other general's name. It's the spymaster general who is not
- 26:48Speaker 2: do Donna. Oh gosh, this is gonna bug me. I'm
- 26:52Speaker 2: gonna have to look it up. But uh, he blows
- 26:55Speaker 2: off the general who is his boss in Rogue one.
- 27:04Speaker 1: I am looking it up now and I can't see it.
- 27:16Speaker 1: Oh are we thinking of the same person here?
- 27:22Speaker 2: Oh gosh, Clay's gonna have to edit this later. Draven, yes, yes, yes,
- 27:34Speaker 2: so yeah Draven. He blows off Draven and as like, yeah,
- 27:40Speaker 2: well you're not like taking role yet or like you're
- 27:44Speaker 2: not fully in charge of me. This is still volunteer
- 27:47Speaker 2: kind of thing. And that is the other conversation that
- 27:51Speaker 2: happens with Bicks is Vell comes to Bixs while Cassie
- 27:59Speaker 2: and and It has taken off to Gorman, and Bell
- 28:02Speaker 2: is like, we don't owe Luthan anything. He is, Cassian
- 28:07Speaker 2: is needed here. He They want to promote him, they
- 28:11Speaker 2: want to bring him into the loop, like he is
- 28:14Speaker 2: a founding member, like basically begging Bis, like, hey, we
- 28:21Speaker 2: need Cassian to be here. And that is I think,
- 28:26Speaker 2: like a defiant like the Force Healer was one thing.
- 28:28Speaker 2: But Bell's conversation with Bis is the catalyst for what
- 28:33Speaker 2: happens at the end of episode nine.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Like it, they don't like it, and I will have
- 28:41Speaker 1: my case. I'm just gonna.
- 28:43Speaker 2: We're gonna get there.
- 28:44Speaker 1: We're gonna get I'm gonna sit in fester and hate
- 28:47Speaker 1: for a little bit.
- 28:49Speaker 2: Okay, I think that's everything out of episode seven though,
- 28:53Speaker 2: h and maybe bits and pieces of episode eight.
- 28:57Speaker 1: But yes, we do one thing to note in the
- 29:03Speaker 1: ending of episode seven because a uh, somebody who I
- 29:08Speaker 1: thought was a nobody character comes back in the Oh yes,
- 29:12Speaker 1: the doorman, the bell harp originally Yeah, at the Gorman Hotel.
- 29:24Speaker 1: He mentions to Cassian because Cassian just says something very
- 29:29Speaker 1: nonchalant to the people at the front desk, and he
- 29:33Speaker 1: tells Cassian like she's serious, she will check you in.
- 29:39Speaker 2: Yep, because Cassian comes in as a reporter. Yeah, and
- 29:44Speaker 2: that's his disguise this time, and all reporters have to
- 29:48Speaker 2: be reported to the Empire.
- 29:50Speaker 1: Yeah. And she leaves the front desk and the bell
- 29:57Speaker 1: hop gives the key to Cassian. He says, you know
- 30:01Speaker 1: which door it is, and he just hands And my
- 30:07Speaker 1: question to you is this was never mentioned. I do
- 30:14Speaker 1: not believe that this individual is a part of the
- 30:22Speaker 1: Gorman rebellion. Officially, he is just a Gorman citizen who
- 30:30Speaker 1: legitimately still recognized Cassian from the first time he came
- 30:36Speaker 1: to Gorman. Yes, which is like, for one, yikes, Cassie,
- 30:44Speaker 1: and you need to be more careful, but two, like
- 30:48Speaker 1: thank God, the right people stayed in the right job.
- 30:50Speaker 1: You know, it's really the situation there. All right, guys,
- 30:57Speaker 1: this is our second ad break. Remember we don't choose
- 31:00Speaker 1: these ads if you if you don't like them, I'm sorry,
- 31:03Speaker 1: it's not on me, but we'll be right back. Episode eight.
- 31:09Speaker 2: Does he say rebellions are built on hope? In episode
- 31:12Speaker 2: seven or episode eight?
- 31:13Speaker 1: Eight? Okay, he says it in no, No, it's I
- 31:20Speaker 1: liked I saw that somebody else had posted, and we
- 31:25Speaker 1: can talk about that because we're talking about episode eight.
- 31:28Speaker 1: He does mention to Cassidan because Cassian is walking down
- 31:33Speaker 1: to the growing crowd in the plaza in the plaza
- 31:38Speaker 1: and he tells the bell Hop, hey, I hope everything
- 31:43Speaker 1: works out for you, and he tells Cassian rebellions are
- 31:47Speaker 1: built off hope. And I saw somebody post on threads
- 31:54Speaker 1: how the simple word of mouth can be such a
- 31:59Speaker 1: strong thing to eventually get to the right people. And
- 32:04Speaker 1: it literally shows every single time it has been said.
- 32:08Speaker 1: So it was the Bellhop to Castian, Cassian to Gin
- 32:12Speaker 1: and then Gin to the rebellion on Yabin Yeh, which
- 32:16Speaker 1: I thought was.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Really cool and like also just going back to publishing, publishing,
- 32:22Speaker 2: took that. I can't remember who the author was in
- 32:25Speaker 2: the story, but Tom Darth Internus pointed it out on
- 32:30Speaker 2: his social media page. But he like the author there
- 32:37Speaker 2: wrote about a journalist who was there when Jin said
- 32:41Speaker 2: rebellions are built on hope, and kind of took that
- 32:44Speaker 2: and ran with it as the promo for the rebellion
- 32:48Speaker 2: propaganda because everything publicity was is like propaganda for one
- 32:53Speaker 2: thing or another guy's. But took that and ran with
- 32:57Speaker 2: it and like spread it out to the galaxy. So
- 33:01Speaker 2: I love that connection where a game of telephone actually
- 33:05Speaker 2: works out for the benefit of everybody.
- 33:08Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I like that a lot. But in episode
- 33:16Speaker 1: eight we see a crowd gathering. The reasoning for this
- 33:21Speaker 1: crowd gathering is because there are rumors and rumors spreading
- 33:26Speaker 1: all across Gorman about so many different things.
- 33:31Speaker 2: Dropping the mining equipment because they have not found a
- 33:35Speaker 2: synthetic element that substitutes for I think it's calikite Gorman
- 33:43Speaker 2: and so patter guys. In episode seven, I forgot about
- 33:46Speaker 2: this part. Podergaz tells dedra Hey mission is goo like
- 33:52Speaker 2: commits firing basically, and so episode eight, the Gormans figure
- 33:59Speaker 2: out what's going on. But then Also the Imperials start
- 34:03Speaker 2: clearing the plaza and basically set up a defensive barricade
- 34:07Speaker 2: around the Imperial building that serial kind of it's the
- 34:13Speaker 2: same building that Cyril was going to work in in
- 34:17Speaker 2: uh the second arc, but it's now been taken over
- 34:20Speaker 2: by ISB, so that building is being set up as
- 34:27Speaker 2: like a defensive perimeter. And the Gormans are like, they're
- 34:30Speaker 2: banging the plaza protest time. And the writer Guy's father
- 34:39Speaker 2: who was like we must rebel in the second arc,
- 34:45Speaker 2: he's like, this is a trap, Like we need to
- 34:49Speaker 2: like peacefully protest. We cannot, Yeah, but all of the
- 34:56Speaker 2: young people are like, no, we go, we take weapons,
- 34:59Speaker 2: we go to fight. And it really wouldn't have mattered
- 35:03Speaker 2: either way unless the Gormans just didn't show up that day.
- 35:07Speaker 2: But again, it's like you appeal to one side, you're
- 35:12Speaker 2: going to get protests any other. And this is like
- 35:16Speaker 2: the evil side of not evil side of Star Wars,
- 35:19Speaker 2: but this is like the Empire, So they're going to
- 35:21Speaker 2: like do everything in their power to get the propaganda
- 35:26Speaker 2: to look their way, uh and the press to look
- 35:28Speaker 2: their way real world stuff or not. Hmm. Feels feels
- 35:35Speaker 2: too close to home. Here, so the Gormans start to gather.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Cassian has like like we talked about, Cassian has gone
- 35:51Speaker 2: to the plaza. So that way because he was going
- 35:56Speaker 2: to take a shot from his balcony. He can't get
- 35:58Speaker 2: a clear shot from his balcony, and it is like okay,
- 36:01Speaker 2: maybe in the crowd, like see what's going on, but
- 36:03Speaker 2: also get a better shot at Dedra. So he's in
- 36:06Speaker 2: the crowd. He doesn't really play a huge role until
- 36:12Speaker 2: the fight breaks out once he gets down to the plaza.
- 36:17Speaker 2: Would you agree disagree here?
- 36:20Speaker 1: For for Cassian, yeah, yeah, no, he does not play
- 36:28Speaker 1: a huge part in what is the.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Gathering of the plaza.
- 36:36Speaker 1: Yeah, of the protest. He is simply a onlooker. He
- 36:51Speaker 1: is literally just seeing everything happen. Now, of course he
- 36:54Speaker 1: is still worried about Will. He is also by the way,
- 36:58Speaker 1: again I just have to say this once more, f
- 37:01Speaker 1: will FM this man this and this might get me
- 37:09Speaker 1: in trouble even by for Katie, no woman is that important,
- 37:18Speaker 1: I'm sorry, Like like he he finds a woman on
- 37:22Speaker 1: every goddamn planet like it's.
- 37:25Speaker 2: And I don't get it at all whatsoever. Like there
- 37:31Speaker 2: comes a point where like, okay, save yourself, and like
- 37:36Speaker 2: it's not romantic in the slightest like, but I think.
- 37:40Speaker 1: It's supposed to be shown as romantic that's the thing.
- 37:44Speaker 2: Right, and like it's not when literally anyone and everyone
- 37:50Speaker 2: is being shot at, like and Will somehow manages to survive.
- 37:57Speaker 2: We see him in the end of episode nine, so
- 38:00Speaker 2: he does the dumbest stuff and he clearly has also
- 38:03Speaker 2: been huffing rydonium because the dude he looks like, he
- 38:08Speaker 2: looks bad, He's got gags, his eyes look bloodshot, like,
- 38:14Speaker 2: the dude looks awful.
- 38:17Speaker 1: I don't think he survives the next art. I hope not.
- 38:23Speaker 1: I hope. So let me reframe that, I hope he
- 38:26Speaker 1: does not survive the last art to leave the window
- 38:31Speaker 1: open for Will to be alive during Rogue one, and
- 38:37Speaker 1: we know that and Or doesn't survive like that would
- 38:40Speaker 1: just piss me off. Okay, that would genuinely piss me off.
- 38:44Speaker 2: But I also saw a theory, and we may need
- 38:47Speaker 2: to go ahead and talk about this theory. I saw
- 38:50Speaker 2: a theory that said Will is the informant that Cassian
- 38:57Speaker 2: shoots at the beginning of Rogue one.
- 39:03Speaker 1: No, no, I mean I'm gonna have to go back
- 39:12Speaker 1: and watch that, but.
- 39:15Speaker 2: No, it's a Saw imformant right like it's a Saw guy.
- 39:22Speaker 2: And the thought process is is that when because Saw
- 39:27Speaker 2: and mon Mathma's rebels have not split it this moment,
- 39:31Speaker 2: they don't split until one baby why, which is the
- 39:34Speaker 2: next arc.
- 39:36Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 39:36Speaker 2: My thought process is is that Luthen and Saw end
- 39:40Speaker 2: up together, and Cassian and Man are in that group.
- 39:46Speaker 1: So this I do believe. I do believe that's going
- 39:49Speaker 1: to happen, because I am pretty sure in some trailers,
- 39:55Speaker 1: I am pretty sure we have seen Luthen and Saw scenes,
- 40:04Speaker 1: but we haven't legitimately seen them here in this season
- 40:08Speaker 1: because Lutha never met up with Saw in season one.
- 40:11Speaker 2: Right, mm hmmm, no he did, he did.
- 40:16Speaker 1: Okay, so maybe that's maybe that's what the photos I've
- 40:20Speaker 1: been seeing were from.
- 40:21Speaker 2: Okay, okay, So here where is it?
- 40:26Speaker 1: Is?
- 40:26Speaker 2: This tab? This is the informant. Oh and guys, if
- 40:38Speaker 2: you're listening, I'm showing Clay a picture of Cassian with
- 40:42Speaker 2: the informant in you.
- 40:43Speaker 1: You will has just a couple, uh, you know, a
- 40:52Speaker 1: couple of years with no you know, athletic ability and
- 40:56Speaker 1: gained a few pounds. That's Will right there. I could
- 41:02Speaker 1: see it now that you say it now, I can
- 41:05Speaker 1: see it.
- 41:08Speaker 2: I saw that theory. Is not my theory. Somebody pointed
- 41:11Speaker 2: it out, because again, I'm not the Easter Eggs person
- 41:14Speaker 2: out all whatsoever. I believe it seeing that photo like
- 41:19Speaker 2: is wild.
- 41:21Speaker 1: I could see that happening though. Uh but yeah, just
- 41:28Speaker 1: just to say, like f will because Cassian is like
- 41:32Speaker 1: talking to him on an earpiece and trying to get
- 41:35Speaker 1: a hold of him because he knows something's gonna go down,
- 41:38Speaker 1: and so he wants to get his friend out of
- 41:40Speaker 1: there as soon as possible. And we see Zero go
- 41:52Speaker 1: into the building and uh, they immediately tell him, Hey,
- 42:00Speaker 1: you're cleared, but you're not cleared to go upstairs. You're
- 42:03Speaker 1: gonna have to wait in this room. And he waits
- 42:06Speaker 1: with the KX droids with several other people in that
- 42:11Speaker 1: room as well. We eventually see him get out of
- 42:15Speaker 1: that room to talk to Dedra and he's like, hey,
- 42:27Speaker 1: what the hell is going on? And this is when
- 42:30Speaker 1: we see a side of Cyril that I don't think
- 42:35Speaker 1: I was ever going to see. I did not think
- 42:41Speaker 1: Cyril had the balls to ever do anything like this. Yeah,
- 42:50Speaker 1: genuinely agitated because he does tell and I can't remember
- 42:57Speaker 1: the father's name, uh to everybody.
- 43:03Speaker 2: Write our gas father writer Gas.
- 43:07Speaker 1: Yes. He like he confronted Syria right before the gathering
- 43:13Speaker 1: and he's like, this is a trap. You're gonna kill
- 43:15Speaker 1: us a ball. He's like, this was only supposed to
- 43:18Speaker 1: be for outside agitators to bring them in, and then
- 43:22Speaker 1: this was a trap for them. That's all he was
- 43:25Speaker 1: told by Dedra, by the ib, by the empire. And
- 43:31Speaker 1: so he tells Dedra like, this is what we were
- 43:35Speaker 1: supposed to be doing. What is this? What have you
- 43:39Speaker 1: been planning all along? And how long have you known
- 43:41Speaker 1: about this?
- 43:42Speaker 2: And she says, you didn't complain about all the promotions.
- 43:48Speaker 1: But that was that was after. That was after he
- 43:52Speaker 1: had the audacity strength, if you will. His reaction to
- 44:00Speaker 1: her trying to just throw it to the wall and
- 44:04Speaker 1: be like, hey, this is nothing. He grabs her neck
- 44:10Speaker 1: and chokes her and pulls her in really close, and
- 44:13Speaker 1: he says, if you lie to me, like like he
- 44:20Speaker 1: legitimately threatens Dedra. This is a side I never would
- 44:27Speaker 1: have seen.
- 44:28Speaker 2: And this is why I think he fell in love
- 44:31Speaker 2: with Inza, but was too scared to break up with
- 44:35Speaker 2: Dedra and so breaks up with him, which is why
- 44:40Speaker 2: they're conflicted. In episode seven.
- 44:44Speaker 1: I'm so upset. I'm so upset because there's there's a
- 44:48Speaker 1: parton here that I've heard a lot of people kind
- 44:51Speaker 1: of argue about, and we'll get there eventually, but uh,
- 44:55Speaker 1: he simply walks away. He walks away from Dedra because
- 44:59Speaker 1: Dedra said, Oh, this is what's gonna happen. They need
- 45:03Speaker 1: this mineral blah blah blahlah blah, and.
- 45:05Speaker 2: We're gonna go back to chorus on his heroes.
- 45:08Speaker 1: Yeah, And that's when she's he says, I'm not okay
- 45:14Speaker 1: with this, And that's when she said, oh, well, you didn't,
- 45:18Speaker 1: you know, mind the promotions.
- 45:20Speaker 3: And in my mind, I'm like, he didn't mind the
- 45:22Speaker 3: promotions because those promotions were given. Those promotions were giving
- 45:27Speaker 3: under false pretense, like like he was getting a promotion
- 45:33Speaker 3: literally to hide the guys of what y'all are actually
- 45:37Speaker 3: going to be doing to Gorman.
- 45:39Speaker 2: And now I say this as like somebody who didn't
- 45:43Speaker 2: like Cyril, I don't. I still don't think he's a
- 45:46Speaker 2: worthy Like he's a good character, but I think he's
- 45:52Speaker 2: still a bad character at the end of the day.
- 45:55Speaker 2: But I get this for him.
- 45:58Speaker 1: No, So here's here's the thing. Here's the thing. Okay,
- 46:01Speaker 1: I want to go ahead and talk about his arc
- 46:03Speaker 1: real quick. Guess what His arc is not very long.
- 46:10Speaker 2: He leaves the building and we're about to jump into
- 46:13Speaker 2: our third ad.
- 46:15Speaker 1: Y'all.
- 46:16Speaker 2: We promise we'll be right back, we promise.
- 46:19Speaker 1: He leaves the building, Immense chaos ensues, shots are fired.
- 46:25Speaker 1: We will talk about that more in detail because I
- 46:28Speaker 1: have a little bit of a fact a uh experiment
- 46:33Speaker 1: that I actually ran while watching this. There are shots
- 46:37Speaker 1: being fired from every direction. This man somehow is missed
- 46:44Speaker 1: by every shot in every direction, does not get grays
- 46:49Speaker 1: touched anything the entire time, and as all the chaos,
- 46:55Speaker 1: he looks to one side and he sees Ease and
- 47:02Speaker 1: or he sees Cassian, and we see Cassie and line
- 47:06Speaker 1: up a shot to to Dedra and I'm like, bro,
- 47:12Speaker 1: everything's about to be fixed. You're good to go. You
- 47:16Speaker 1: see what Cassian is doing? Walk away?
- 47:21Speaker 2: He says, that's my woman, and.
- 47:26Speaker 1: He tackles Cassian. They get into this very intense fight,
- 47:31Speaker 1: by the way, very intense, very yeah, like this is
- 47:37Speaker 1: a whole like we are seeing a very angry side
- 47:43Speaker 1: to Cyril. And I've heard some people kind of discuss
- 47:48Speaker 1: why he went ahead and attacked Cassian. I want to know,
- 47:55Speaker 1: in your opinion, why do you think he attacked Cassian.
- 48:02Speaker 2: Because it's I just watched an episode of something where
- 48:06Speaker 2: the mom of a serial killer, let's the person they
- 48:13Speaker 2: have captured go because they were like he she likes
- 48:18Speaker 2: the kid and is like, you're gonna get married blah
- 48:21Speaker 2: blah blah blah. But then the son comes home and
- 48:25Speaker 2: the cop fights the son, and then the mom injects
- 48:29Speaker 2: him with a lethal dose of morphine, and it's like,
- 48:33Speaker 2: that's my son. And that's basically what this is. Is
- 48:37Speaker 2: Cyril is like, that's my woman, and like I hate
- 48:41Speaker 2: her at the moment, but that's still my woman. That's
- 48:48Speaker 2: basically what it says. Also, but like he killed the
- 48:53Speaker 2: Moro Lana one Cops four years.
- 48:56Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, exactly, And there's a lot of people that
- 48:59Speaker 1: are just like, regardless of what he thinks about Dedra,
- 49:04Speaker 1: this man is still a man of law. It's still
- 49:07Speaker 1: a man that is like that was his whole thing
- 49:11Speaker 1: is like, hey, he didn't really understand the full extent,
- 49:17Speaker 1: and maybe he did and then played dumb. What Gorman was,
- 49:21Speaker 1: you know, attempting to do as far as the rebellion goes.
- 49:25Speaker 1: But his whole purpose was to get outside agitators. That
- 49:31Speaker 1: is still something that the empire saw as illegal and
- 49:35Speaker 1: was wanting to bring those people to justice. He is
- 49:38Speaker 1: still a man of law.
- 49:40Speaker 2: Cyril is in essence the person who is like, oh,
- 49:47Speaker 2: but this isn't affecting me, and there are people who
- 49:51Speaker 2: are in fact breaking the law, so we must uphold
- 49:55Speaker 2: those people to the law. But that doesn't mean like
- 49:58Speaker 2: we should be in the law to make other people
- 50:02Speaker 2: like what's happening right now with immigration basically, and then
- 50:08Speaker 2: he realizes, hey, I've helped been the law to get
- 50:11Speaker 2: everybody else.
- 50:13Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. And for me, I, after hearing those arguments,
- 50:25Speaker 1: I was like, okay, But there was a part of
- 50:29Speaker 1: because I don't believe he would have been this like, oh,
- 50:34Speaker 1: I'm on the side of the rebellion now, because again
- 50:38Speaker 1: a man of law. But what I did genuinely want
- 50:43Speaker 1: was for him to be able to walk away he
- 50:48Speaker 1: now learned that the Empire of the Galaxy is the
- 50:56Speaker 1: correct one, and for him to just be like fuck it,
- 51:02Speaker 1: I can't do this anymore and walk away. That's what
- 51:06Speaker 1: I hoped for. But what I got instead was a
- 51:12Speaker 1: huge hand to hand fistfight with Cassie in and then
- 51:17Speaker 1: Cassie looks him straight in the eye it says, who
- 51:23Speaker 1: are you? And it fucking blew my mind to then realize,
- 51:29Speaker 1: Holy shit, Hold on a second, these two have never
- 51:34Speaker 1: met before. This is so good. This is so good
- 51:41Speaker 1: because I the face that Cyril makes immediately after that comment.
- 51:53Speaker 1: If it wasn't for the shot in the head, I
- 51:57Speaker 1: think Sarah would have dropped the gun. I think Cyril
- 52:00Speaker 1: would have dropped the gun. I don't think he would
- 52:02Speaker 1: have had it in him to kill Cassie. And after that,
- 52:05Speaker 1: because the fact that the man that he has been
- 52:08Speaker 1: chasing four years has no idea. You are an insignificant fly.
- 52:18Speaker 2: Don't to me.
- 52:22Speaker 1: You don't matter in the big scheme of this intergalactic
- 52:27Speaker 1: chess game that we're all playing. You're just a nobody.
- 52:33Speaker 1: And I think Cyril knew it the moment he said it.
- 52:39Speaker 1: He lowered the gun before anything else could happen. The
- 52:44Speaker 1: other leader of the rebellion in Gorman shoots him right
- 52:49Speaker 1: in the back of the head.
- 52:50Speaker 2: And this shot is also why I think that he
- 52:54Speaker 2: had a thing within the and the father was really
- 52:56Speaker 2: pissed off about.
- 52:57Speaker 1: That Oh no, no, no, I think the I think
- 53:01Speaker 1: the father was so pissed about this trap that took
- 53:08Speaker 1: place that he's like, Hey, you were one of the
- 53:13Speaker 1: top people responsible for this, so you deserve this no
- 53:17Speaker 1: matter what. But I want to talk about the Gorman massacre, Katie.
- 53:26Speaker 2: Which before you ask the question, I just want to
- 53:30Speaker 2: point out they had three hundred and fifty extras on
- 53:34Speaker 2: set for this, all in costume. The shots in this episode,
- 53:41Speaker 2: cinematography wise, are so impressive, like realistically the whole arc,
- 53:46Speaker 2: like everything looks beautiful. I keep saying this with the
- 53:50Speaker 2: arcs that we're covering, but like to have that many
- 53:54Speaker 2: people on set is like unheard of these days on camera.
- 54:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 54:04Speaker 2: Yeah, it props to Tony Gilroy and the production staff
- 54:08Speaker 2: for making sure that this looks legit as possible. So
- 54:13Speaker 2: I just like to make sure we said that.
- 54:16Speaker 1: Uh, the the fun little fact that I had, it's
- 54:23Speaker 1: not really fun. It's very intense. The moment the first
- 54:31Speaker 1: shut is fired to the moment of the last cry
- 54:39Speaker 1: for help fourteen minutes, twenty three seconds, fifty eight milliseconds,
- 54:47Speaker 1: with literally zero breaks. There is no cut to coruscant,
- 54:56Speaker 1: There is no cut to acquire scene with Dedra. There
- 55:02Speaker 1: is no scene with Luthen there is. It is all
- 55:08Speaker 1: the Gorman massacre for fourteen straight minutes. Yep. This is
- 55:16Speaker 1: a very intense scene. I it was hard for me
- 55:26Speaker 1: to watch the first time because of how long I
- 55:31Speaker 1: thought that there was going to be cuts to like
- 55:36Speaker 1: a scene with Dedra, you know, a quieter scene. But no,
- 55:41Speaker 1: every every cut you can see people getting blasted. In
- 55:46Speaker 1: the background. You could hear shots being fired. You can
- 55:48Speaker 1: hear people screaming and calling for help every single shot
- 55:54Speaker 1: from the first moment to the last cry for help.
- 55:58Speaker 1: Fourteen minutes twenty three seconds.
- 56:00Speaker 2: And it feels long, but not in like a bad
- 56:04Speaker 2: way of like, oh, this is dragging on. Your attention
- 56:09Speaker 2: is held on that entire almost fifteen minutes. Yeah, Like
- 56:15Speaker 2: it's heartbreaking to watch, but it's meant to hold your
- 56:21Speaker 2: attention and to really capture that so you know exactly
- 56:27Speaker 2: what the heck is going on, and you are the
- 56:31Speaker 2: witness basically at the end of it, like Cassian saw
- 56:36Speaker 2: all of it, and you are basically Cassian in this.
- 56:39Speaker 1: Yeah. Also, by the way, people just want to not
- 56:48Speaker 1: fear monger or anything else. This is peaceful protest by
- 56:52Speaker 1: the way, nothing illegal happening, and the shooting was the
- 57:01Speaker 1: government killing one of one of its own to then
- 57:06Speaker 1: provoke a wild massacre. Yep, just so you just so
- 57:12Speaker 1: everybody is aware, there is there is no hiding this,
- 57:15Speaker 1: there is no Oh but you know this happened. No, no,
- 57:18Speaker 1: this is this is what happened. And uh, with how
- 57:23Speaker 1: things are looking, uh in real world, this is getting
- 57:29Speaker 1: more and more terrified. This is this is this is
- 57:33Speaker 1: no more Star Wars, this is more like Earth Wars.
- 57:36Speaker 1: But we move on to episode nine. Well, one thing
- 57:48Speaker 1: I will say, two things I will say for episode eight.
- 57:51Speaker 1: The ending of episode eight, Uh, Cassie and Will found
- 57:55Speaker 1: each other. Uh. They were run to get to girl. Well,
- 58:01Speaker 1: they were escaping until the Kax droid basically was sloding
- 58:06Speaker 1: people down the road and they tried to help, and Sam,
- 58:12Speaker 1: the individual who ended up killing Santa, actually saves Cassian
- 58:19Speaker 1: by ramming into the k X joy destroying it.
- 58:22Speaker 2: I literally was like, at least he's good for something.
- 58:26Speaker 1: I was I was gonna say. This does not away
- 58:30Speaker 1: from that moment, but there is a bit of redemption
- 58:34Speaker 1: there and again Will running off to see this girl
- 58:43Speaker 1: who is she's the one broadcasting to all of Gorman
- 58:48Speaker 1: and to anybody out there as a distress call, letting
- 58:52Speaker 1: it known. Let it be known. The Empire is murdering
- 58:57Speaker 1: all of us for no reason. And that's what this
- 59:04Speaker 1: episode nearly ends on. We also learn that no, Darth
- 59:12Speaker 1: Vader did not make an appearance in this season.
- 59:14Speaker 2: Nope, thankfully.
- 59:16Speaker 1: The scene in which was questioned when Dedra was you know,
- 59:22Speaker 1: grabbing her collar and everything else. Guys, these Imperial outfits
- 59:28Speaker 1: are very tight. They have a very high collar.
- 59:33Speaker 2: She's having a panic attack.
- 59:34Speaker 1: She was having a very big panic attack. You see
- 59:40Speaker 1: the symptoms. Her leg is shaking, her hand to shaking
- 59:43Speaker 1: her whole entire arm starts to shake it, and she
- 59:45Speaker 1: stops it. She has a little bit of a choking fit.
- 59:50Speaker 1: And then the only thing to get her somewhat composed
- 59:55Speaker 1: that she is like trying to straighten out her jacket
- 59:59Speaker 1: and like is rubbing her hands on her thighs. And
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: we see that even the most despicable people I hope
- 1:00:10Speaker 1: we see her death next arc can have these types
- 1:00:16Speaker 1: of reactions to such a massacre.
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: And Adrian said it on threads, and I'm gonna say
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: it here, that does not mean she's worthy of redemption.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: You can have panic attacks as a very bad person.
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: Yes, which is why I said redemption, Which is why
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: I said I hope we see her death in the
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: next arc, because she isn't a good person, and to
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: a point, neither was Cyril. Like that there was a
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: there's there's a bit of a like, hey, there was
- 1:00:55Speaker 1: probably a moment where he was going to learn, but
- 1:00:57Speaker 1: then boom got blasted. You know, No, he had no
- 1:01:01Speaker 1: time for a redemption art. But the last scene we
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: do see is Cyril's mom watching the broadcast and not
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: knowing what happened to her son.
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: I really thought she already knew.
- 1:01:22Speaker 1: Do you think so?
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: Yeah, because and I mean, don't get I guess people
- 1:01:28Speaker 2: can like calm and like support you if you don't
- 1:01:31Speaker 2: know what's going on. But the way she was crying
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: made me feel like she already knew.
- 1:01:38Speaker 1: There's a possibility of that because the broadcast was in
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: the plaza, which was very clean.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: By the way, Yeah, it takes place the day after,
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: because they say like, oh, we're rounding up bodies, were
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: figuring out what happened yesterday. The death toll will continue
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: to rise. Blah blah blah blah blah, yeah. So, and
- 1:02:01Speaker 2: Cyril wasn't in like a bomb explosion, like his body
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: would be very easy to recognize, and especially having his
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: girlfriend on staff to identify the body.
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: Hey, guys, this is our third atbreak and we will
- 1:02:17Speaker 1: be right back.
- 1:02:22Speaker 2: So yeah, this was a very thought provoking episode in
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: a lot of heartbreaking moments, really good action shots, really
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: good music. Ten out of ten. No, no no complaints.
- 1:02:41Speaker 1: Like, no complaints, no notes. This was a very good
- 1:02:45Speaker 1: episode of television.
- 1:02:48Speaker 2: Now I could like be like a real asshole and
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: be like but it didn't make me smile. No, Like,
- 1:02:55Speaker 2: that wasn't the point of this episode. In case you're
- 1:02:58Speaker 2: that type of person, This is like, don't watch this
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: if you're looking for something happy.
- 1:03:03Speaker 1: Yeah. No, Like, guys, everybody who listens to this show
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: knows that I am always looking for my happy ending
- 1:03:12Speaker 1: in Star Wars. This is not it. Okay, this is
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: not it. Neither is episode nine. We're gonna talk about nine.
- 1:03:21Speaker 1: So episode nine is titled Welcome to the Rebellion, which
- 1:03:28Speaker 1: I think it is a little silly and gimmicky but
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: very appropriate sometimes that the fact that every single episode
- 1:03:36Speaker 1: is titled something that is actually legitimately said in the
- 1:03:42Speaker 1: episode itself, Katie, how did you feel about the approach
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: to this episode? We see the the news of Gorman
- 1:04:02Speaker 1: is affecting Corrison in a very big way, right, and
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: of course that means big things for of course the
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: people who were secretly attached to the rebellion, that being
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: Man Mathma, that being Bail or Gun all of this
- 1:04:18Speaker 1: other stuff. So walk us through a little bit of
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: your of your thought process watching this episode.
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: I really this is another episode that keeps you on
- 1:04:31Speaker 2: the edge of your seat, and it's for political reasons
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: this time in not necessarily action entirely, even though you
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: do get action in this episode, it's conversational action more
- 1:04:46Speaker 2: of than anything, because you see the like Mad Mathma
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: is planned to be the person who goes out, because
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: Bail could have given the speech theoretically and been the
- 1:04:59Speaker 2: one to escape, but Mad Mathma has been the one,
- 1:05:02Speaker 2: and we see this in Brain of the Empire. Ma
- 1:05:04Speaker 2: Mathma has been the one pissing everybody off and like
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: towing the line. Bail is supportive behind the scenes in
- 1:05:13Speaker 2: getting things done and opening doors for mon Mathma to
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: say the things that need to be said, but there
- 1:05:22Speaker 2: always has to be that doorway that you are able
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: to go through because if you're just a blunt person
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: who wants to like say things, you're never gonna you
- 1:05:33Speaker 2: have to have those connections to make sure you're able
- 1:05:38Speaker 2: to speak out in the open. And this is what
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: happens in this episode because we see the isb guy,
- 1:05:46Speaker 2: not patter guys, but another supervisor who works with Dedra.
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: He's basically like, yeah, we're gonna have a senate meeting,
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: but like we have a very strict agenda. Nobody's getting
- 1:05:58Speaker 2: into this discussion if you're not on the engine already.
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: And we see, like my Mathma has a plan. She's
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: been building the connections. Bail has also been building the
- 1:06:12Speaker 2: connections to make sure that this speech gets to be said,
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: to build up that support for the rebellion, to light
- 1:06:18Speaker 2: that spark. And so that's what this episode is is
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: man Mathma is planning her speech which she gets to
- 1:06:24Speaker 2: write in twenty four hours.
- 1:06:26Speaker 1: It's Supervisorlagrete Logret.
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: You can see how much he regrets with his hair.
- 1:06:36Speaker 2: Sorry had to say it. So Ma, Mamma has less
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: than twenty four hours to prep her speech, which she's
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: prepping with her cousin assistant ens In. We then proceed
- 1:06:48Speaker 2: to find out who's been hired by Luthan and has
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: been working for him since the wedding.
- 1:06:55Speaker 1: I immediately hear the voice of the wife in Missus
- 1:07:05Speaker 1: doubtfire the whole time, the whole time, the whole time.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: I really like this reveal because again it touches on
- 1:07:19Speaker 1: the biggest thing that is going on in Mon's life,
- 1:07:23Speaker 1: in her life in cost is immense paranoia because ends
- 1:07:30Speaker 1: and ends up finding a bug yep, and now no,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: not a Crawley bug, a listening bug, a listening device
- 1:07:39Speaker 1: within Mon's office. She immediately proceeds to destroy it.
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: And you said, the Missus Gallifire quote, this is I
- 1:07:53Speaker 2: don't know. There's like this thing that I grew up
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: with where we would always when we were plaining about something,
- 1:08:00Speaker 2: we would say, and you pack that in a box,
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: and then you pack that in a box and then
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: you smash it with a hammer. And that's what I
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: got out of that. I just had to share that
- 1:08:11Speaker 2: there's a lot more packing in of boxes. But that's
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: too long for a podcast.
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: She proceeds to tell and then hey, I need a
- 1:08:21Speaker 1: practice this speech. And this is when we, like you said,
- 1:08:24Speaker 1: have the conversation with Luthen. The reveal, Evnsen, she feels
- 1:08:28Speaker 1: betrayed all of these other things.
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: Luthen also tells her, Hey, Babel's team is not to
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: be trusted.
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: How did you feel about this? Did you believe him?
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: I did believe him because I feel like, at the
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: end of the day, they need mon Mothma to be
- 1:08:50Speaker 2: the voice because Bail isn't ready for that yet, and
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: so Luthan has only ever to protect Man in a
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: sick way. Don't get me wrong, it's a sick way. Yeah,
- 1:09:05Speaker 2: but his main goal is to keep Man Mama alive.
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: I genuinely thought he was being a little overprotected, and
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: I was like, he's gonna screw this up, and this
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: is what's going to legitimately like tear apart the Lutheran
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: saw rebellion factions. Is this right here? That's what I
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: genuinely felt, the way he was just emphasizing it. I
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: was like, I don't know, this feels a little off.
- 1:09:44Speaker 1: And again, like we even here in the episode, like
- 1:09:48Speaker 1: because later on Man talks to Bail and he mentions
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: it and she's like, do you know them? He's like no,
- 1:09:56Speaker 1: Like that's too dangerous. I could I could never have
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: direct contact with them, and so she gets paranoid again,
- 1:10:02Speaker 1: like I feel for mon so much as it's.
- 1:10:07Speaker 2: Because you were betraying everything you have known, like she
- 1:10:10Speaker 2: says it at some point this season, maybe it was
- 1:10:13Speaker 2: these episodes, but she's like, I have been in this
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: Senate from more than half my life. I know you people.
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: You are my colleagues, my enemies, my allies. Like, but
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: I know you people, and now she is turning against
- 1:10:29Speaker 2: every single one of them, and she doesn't know who
- 1:10:32Speaker 2: to trust because at the end of the day, this
- 1:10:35Speaker 2: is her life. Yeah, and it's also the life of
- 1:10:39Speaker 2: her husband and child, who were not mentioned in this
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: arc whatsoever. And apparently there was potentially a deleted scene
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: that had her talking to them.
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: Yes, and that'll be along with the discussion, same thing
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: with what Andrew had discussed earlier.
- 1:10:57Speaker 2: All right, Andrew, I'm sorry, I will we'll be talking
- 1:11:01Speaker 2: about it because there has been enough discussion.
- 1:11:03Speaker 1: I think of those types of things when when watching
- 1:11:11Speaker 1: this episode, I did notice a very cheeky thing that
- 1:11:16Speaker 1: they did with the camera work when we see the
- 1:11:22Speaker 1: uh the representative for Gormant screaming out and saying, you know,
- 1:11:26Speaker 1: Gorman was was wrong. Was wrongfully murdered, and like all
- 1:11:30Speaker 1: of these different things, he does make a statement Gorman,
- 1:11:35Speaker 1: today your planet will be next, It'll be It'll be
- 1:11:40Speaker 1: you in this spot next time, and the camera cuts
- 1:11:44Speaker 1: to bail Or Ghana mm hmm. And I genuinely think
- 1:11:52Speaker 1: there was this was intentional for for overshadowing of of
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: course him and the death of his planet in a
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: New Hope. Yeah. I thought that was very tongue in cheek,
- 1:12:10Speaker 1: very subtle type of thing. But we do.
- 1:12:16Speaker 2: But it's always something that's said, right, is like, hey,
- 1:12:21Speaker 2: they will come for you next kind of thing, And
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: so it's it's Tony Gilroy and I think it was
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: Yan News who direct ys Mets who directed these episodes,
- 1:12:37Speaker 2: but it's them playing with the fact that we already
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: know what happens in the future, whereas if and Or
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: had come out first and we had never seen a
- 1:12:46Speaker 2: New Hope and we were building to a New Hope,
- 1:12:49Speaker 2: like this would be like ooh, it's all around next
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: kind of thing exactly.
- 1:12:54Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah. But after that we get these scene with
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: Cassian and Cleia, and Cassian is basically letting her know
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: like hey, like after this, I'm done, Like I'm done
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: and she even says, like, what does that mean? Like
- 1:13:15Speaker 1: you're done? Like that? That could mean a lot of things.
- 1:13:18Speaker 1: What does what does it necessarily mean?
- 1:13:20Speaker 2: You're done with me, You're done with Lucid, You're done
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: with the rebellion?
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: Like yeah, it's it's a very open statement, but he
- 1:13:29Speaker 1: does say it. He says, haven't I done enough? Like what?
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: Like when have I never not come through? Like when
- 1:13:39Speaker 1: if I? When have I ever been a disappointment to
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: what these operations are? Right? So, like these conversations are
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: very are supposed to be very thought provoking for the audience.
- 1:13:56Speaker 1: It's like, Okay, there's the weight of the galaxy. It's
- 1:14:00Speaker 1: literally on me on Cassie AND's shoulders right now. And
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: with what he just went through with Gorman, m hm,
- 1:14:09Speaker 1: I would one out too, Yep, you just survived a
- 1:14:14Speaker 1: complete massacre. I would say, Hey, I was lucky. I
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: don't want to be lucky again, Yill. I want to live.
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: I want to live a life.
- 1:14:28Speaker 2: And I feel like he does. Does he talk about
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: luck in this oh? Like or is that another show
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: that I'm watching? It's probably another ship that I've been watching.
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: I don't remember anything specific in this last episode.
- 1:14:42Speaker 2: I've been watching firefighter shows and like, so there's a
- 1:14:46Speaker 2: lot of talk about like luck and everything, especially if
- 1:14:49Speaker 2: you've been following like nine to one one with like
- 1:14:51Speaker 2: one of the actors die, not actors, but like characters
- 1:14:54Speaker 2: dying in that. Yeah.
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: Sorry, but when after this conversation, this is when we
- 1:15:06Speaker 1: see ah a conversation. The next day, when mon is
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: getting ready for her speech, they have the conversation. They
- 1:15:22Speaker 1: she has a conversation with Bail. You know, he says like,
- 1:15:26Speaker 1: he says something that I think a lot of people
- 1:15:28Speaker 1: were like, oh right there, I literally pause that at
- 1:15:31Speaker 1: the right time. He says, tear the shit out of
- 1:15:34Speaker 1: this place. Guys. Bail Organa is not only a representative
- 1:15:51Speaker 1: of Aldron. He has a husband, He is a daughter.
- 1:15:56Speaker 1: He is a father to a dodter who has at
- 1:16:01Speaker 1: this point been a little bit of a little shit
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: because yeah, I just read that book. By the way,
- 1:16:11Speaker 1: isn't it so good?
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: Though?
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: It's so good?
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: And this should be our final ad break. So y'all,
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: thanks for bearing with us. We appreciate y'all. We'll be
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: right back.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: This dude and he is one of the pillars of
- 1:16:25Speaker 1: the rebellion. This stuff that you see him during his
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: moments at the Senate. These are all formalities. It's the
- 1:16:36Speaker 1: same as you whenever you put on a face and
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: a smile at your job. It's okay for him to cuss. Guys,
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: and people were saying, man, could you imagine if Dave
- 1:16:51Speaker 1: Filoni had written this episode tear the panther voodoo off
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: of this place, like like like saying something really stupid
- 1:17:00Speaker 1: stuff like that, like don't even like, don't give me started,
- 1:17:05Speaker 1: like like after after after giving me Mandalorian finale, season
- 1:17:12Speaker 1: three finale, don't talk to me about Boloney directing something
- 1:17:17Speaker 1: like this never ever again.
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I'm dying, Internet.
- 1:17:24Speaker 1: You are way too much, way too much. You got
- 1:17:30Speaker 1: serious out of me, Like I h like again a
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: discussion for another time. I have seen enough with what
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: Travis and the and the geek verse guys have been
- 1:17:44Speaker 1: talking about in the and or spoiler chat that I
- 1:17:48Speaker 1: think there's a legitimate, legitimate conversation about, like lucasfilm, what
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: we could have had, what we couldn't like, what we
- 1:17:55Speaker 1: didn't have, all this other stuff. But we get down.
- 1:18:01Speaker 1: We're getting down to the down, like to the to
- 1:18:03Speaker 1: the really gritty parts of this episode mm, we see
- 1:18:12Speaker 1: Inza and Cassie and Meat, we see the Senate is
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: actually like ramping up to this moment because there's gonna
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: be a moment where Bail or Ghana. It's like, hey,
- 1:18:25Speaker 1: there's a statue in this one act that you know,
- 1:18:29Speaker 1: if you're if if if, if so many dominoes fall
- 1:18:33Speaker 1: with this, you know, perfect moment, then we're able to
- 1:18:36Speaker 1: enact this.
- 1:18:38Speaker 2: He pulls the legal use out, yes, and is like,
- 1:18:43Speaker 2: because the other thing is again all about building your connections.
- 1:18:48Speaker 2: You cannot be a blunt person and say what you
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: want to say in a professional environment without having those connections.
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: Because basically, like three senators feed their time to Bail
- 1:19:03Speaker 2: in this instance, and then Bail pulls out the legalese
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: to feed it to man Mathma, because you know for
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: a fact that if it had been those senators yielding
- 1:19:16Speaker 2: their time to mon Mathma, the supervisor would have come
- 1:19:20Speaker 2: out and been like, nah, this dysantco fly. Bail had
- 1:19:24Speaker 2: to pull out the legalese to make it happen.
- 1:19:26Speaker 1: Yeah, And that's why you need.
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: Bail in this episode, Like, that's why the recast had
- 1:19:31Speaker 2: to happen, is because you need Bail in this because
- 1:19:35Speaker 2: Mad doesn't have another friend in the Senate in this instance,
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: who can do that, who can spend the time and
- 1:19:42Speaker 2: the documentation, because there's thousands of planets in the empire, guys,
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: like just imagine the rule book for that, like our
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: rule book is a government in the US is already
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: insane enough, like so it had to happen. And I
- 1:20:01Speaker 2: think Benjamin Bratts does an incredible job.
- 1:20:04Speaker 1: Yes, for the small amount of time that he is
- 1:20:07Speaker 1: on screen, he plays his role well uh he he
- 1:20:14Speaker 1: gets the job done. What we do see is Bail's
- 1:20:23Speaker 1: exit team for Mond. They all arrive separately, but then
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: they all meet together and they're like, hey, we you
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: you guys got the plans. Okay, this is what we're
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: gonna do. Let's initiate it. Let's go, and one individual
- 1:20:39Speaker 1: goes off, and then the two go together. We see
- 1:20:43Speaker 1: them go in some sort of like downstairs like like yeah,
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: like some sort of like armory, warehouse closet whatever for
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: this chamber, for the for the Senate chamber, and one
- 1:20:58Speaker 1: of them we find out is an I B informant so.
- 1:21:05Speaker 2: Just informant.
- 1:21:07Speaker 1: Yeah she is she is is s b uh. And
- 1:21:11Speaker 1: we find out that luthan is in fact, uh you
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: know it was correct in his in his assumptions and
- 1:21:19Speaker 1: his word that got back to him. So uh, then
- 1:21:26Speaker 1: we start to see everybody panic. And when I say
- 1:21:29Speaker 1: everybody panic, I mean the empire. The empire is like, oh, ship,
- 1:21:33Speaker 1: we can see where this is going. Man is not
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: allowed to be heard. Shut it down, shut it down quick.
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: And this is where you get all of the little
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: acts of rebellion that very subtle, very very subtle, and
- 1:21:52Speaker 2: all following the letter of the law, where you literally
- 1:21:57Speaker 2: I s can't do ship back deah oh us they
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: want to be seen breaking the law.
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: Yeah, there's I guess apparently just due to the rules
- 1:22:10Speaker 1: of the Senate Chamber, like this door is supposed to
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: be locked, and you know this, that and the other,
- 1:22:16Speaker 1: and like the key is actually supposed to be put
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: away the day prior, so that way nobody deals with it.
- 1:22:22Speaker 1: Da And so this dude, who is basically the eyes
- 1:22:28Speaker 1: and ears on the floor for ISB is like running
- 1:22:32Speaker 1: around the entire place, which I actually thought was really
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: really fun. Which again, guys, there can be small pockets
- 1:22:39Speaker 1: of these little moments of humor, which is totally fine
- 1:22:42Speaker 1: for Star Wars you know. Thankfully they were able to
- 1:22:46Speaker 1: do it very subtly and didn't ruin quote unquote the moment,
- 1:22:52Speaker 1: as you know, people say, then we get the speech.
- 1:22:57Speaker 1: The speech goes off with a band sang for mon
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: You can tell the anxiety that she has, and like,
- 1:23:07Speaker 1: for a moment, I was like, oh God, they're just
- 1:23:09Speaker 1: leaving her in the center of the floor. They're not
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: moving her chair back, because it literally looks like she's
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: not moving. No, just it's literally And I think they
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: do it on purpose. I think this is genuine ly
- 1:23:21Speaker 1: on purpose, because we as the audience are holding our breath.
- 1:23:25Speaker 1: What's gonna happen next, What's going on? We know Mana survives,
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: but we don't know what happens in this moment, what's
- 1:23:30Speaker 1: going on. And this is how she is feeling. She's
- 1:23:34Speaker 1: feeling stuck, she's feeling alone, she's feeling like nobody's there
- 1:23:38Speaker 1: to help. And then finally when she does open the door,
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: Cassie and is right there and he tells her, Hey,
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: I was in Gorman. I was in Gorman yesterday. We
- 1:23:49Speaker 1: need to talk and she's like, no, I can't talk
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: right now. I can't.
- 1:23:53Speaker 2: She's still going with the Okay, I'm going with bails team. Like,
- 1:23:57Speaker 2: I think that's the decision she's made here.
- 1:24:00Speaker 1: Yeah, but what Pop makes her pause as he says
- 1:24:06Speaker 1: I have friends everywhere, which is the key phrase that
- 1:24:11Speaker 1: Luthen likes to use, because this isn't the first arc
- 1:24:16Speaker 1: that we've heard it. We've heard it being said multiple
- 1:24:20Speaker 1: times throughout the season. So when this happens, Mon knows, Okay,
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: this is Luten's guy. He will protect me in some
- 1:24:33Speaker 1: sort of capacity.
- 1:24:34Speaker 2: Because Mon was supposed to say are you alone and
- 1:24:38Speaker 2: Cassian was supposed to respond I have friends everywhere, But
- 1:24:42Speaker 2: when she runs into Cassian, she's like, okay, I'm not
- 1:24:44Speaker 2: even gonna ask because boy with Bailes team. And so
- 1:24:49Speaker 2: then Cassian's kind of forced to say the code phrase
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: on his own after saying like all his stuff, And
- 1:24:57Speaker 2: I think she still gets to a point in the
- 1:25:01Speaker 2: elevator where she's like, do I really want to go
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: with Luthern's guy or can I go with Bailes team?
- 1:25:07Speaker 2: But then we get down to it and she's forced
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: to make the decision because the ISB agent reveals herself
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: and threatens her, and Cassian's like, ah, fuck, no, I
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: got this. But By the way, we didn't really talk
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: about the speech from Mama from Mad Mathma. It's epic.
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: I highly encourage you to go listen to it. Genevieve
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: O'Reilly gives an incredible performance. And I know we've gotten
- 1:25:34Speaker 2: a lot about Man Mathma in books and everything, but
- 1:25:40Speaker 2: for Genevieve O'Reilly to take mon Mathma. And I saw
- 1:25:43Speaker 2: this on Twitter again, so I can't take credit for this,
- 1:25:46Speaker 2: but somebody said Mad Mathma was the mini Buthans died
- 1:25:50Speaker 2: to bring us this information, girl, and now she is
- 1:25:54Speaker 2: the uh talk like basically called Palpatine out for what
- 1:26:00Speaker 2: he is girl. Yeah, and that's an incredible transformation. And
- 1:26:06Speaker 2: I sincerely hope that even though we make fun of Filoni,
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: that Filony makes the right decision and continues to bring
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: Genevieve O'Reilly in for his post return of the Jedi
- 1:26:18Speaker 2: product projects.
- 1:26:20Speaker 1: So I really do hope.
- 1:26:21Speaker 2: So yeah, that's the gist of that there.
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: I really I really.
- 1:26:26Speaker 2: Don't think we could do it justice by summarizing it.
- 1:26:29Speaker 2: The video is on YouTube, Go go watch it.
- 1:26:34Speaker 1: Yeah, very good scene when the IB agent reveals herself,
- 1:26:43Speaker 1: Uh I forgot his name. Cousin Insen yells out she's
- 1:26:53Speaker 1: a rebellion spy, and she pulls her gun towards and
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: Cassie and sees the old opening pops her right in
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: the head. She falls down and he points the gun
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: at the other person, who was genuinely probably one of
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: Bails guys. Yeah, and he's like, in you, who are you?
- 1:27:12Speaker 1: He's like, I'm a nobody. We just met that I promised, Like, like,
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: I don't know what's going on here, and so they
- 1:27:18Speaker 1: walk away. We see that that mon has taken off
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: her robe yeh, she is only in her white dress
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: and commence the run around the Senate building for the
- 1:27:33Speaker 1: rest of the episode. This is the moment where she's like, Oh,
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: I don't think I can do this. I can't do this.
- 1:27:40Speaker 1: I can't do this, and Cassie and says, of course
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: the line of the episode, welcome to the Rebellion. During
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: all of this, during her speech and everything else, we
- 1:27:56Speaker 1: go back to the driver who is still a part
- 1:27:59Speaker 1: of the plane on the ISB side, to when she
- 1:28:05Speaker 1: gets there, drive her into custody and nobody knows where
- 1:28:11Speaker 1: she is, nobody's seen her. That was one of the
- 1:28:13Speaker 1: big things at the beginning of this episode is nobody's
- 1:28:15Speaker 1: seen her. She somehow snuck into the Senate building without
- 1:28:22Speaker 1: anybody noticing. I feel like this is also possibly some
- 1:28:26Speaker 1: sort of deleted scene, yeah, because it is not mentioned
- 1:28:31Speaker 1: at all. You just see her next with bail Organa
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: talking before her speech. But we see this driver having
- 1:28:42Speaker 1: communications with the supervisor and then eventually we see him
- 1:28:49Speaker 1: listening to Man's speech. And there is one particular moment
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: me and Katie actually talked about this the other day.
- 1:28:56Speaker 1: There is what we feel is a very intentional shot
- 1:29:04Speaker 1: bird's eye view shot of the vehicle looking into the
- 1:29:08Speaker 1: windshield and quite possibly a like sun roof of the vehicle,
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: and you see the blaster at the passenger side seat
- 1:29:20Speaker 1: with the driver during her speech, and you're like, okay,
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: he means business. What does this mean? Well, during the
- 1:29:31Speaker 1: running around the Senate building we see a lot of stormtroopers,
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: Cassie and Man are having to like redirect from their
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: like previously known like exit strategy and the loading dock whatever.
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: They're like, yes, screw that, we have to go this
- 1:29:49Speaker 1: other way when they get to the outside. Prior to
- 1:29:58Speaker 1: them getting outside, uh, the driver.
- 1:30:03Speaker 2: I also laughed hysterically at this part. Sorry, but like
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: while modern Cassie and are running around the building and
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: you have everybody going in and you've already had somebody
- 1:30:14Speaker 2: tell the ISB guy hey, like they just took off
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: from Gate nine basically, and is like, yeah, there was
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: shooting like supposed rebel agents blah blah blah blah blah.
- 1:30:29Speaker 2: You still have people trying to break into her podroom, yeah,
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: in the Senate Building, and they like break in and
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: they're like, oh my gosh, she is in here. I
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: laughed at the inefficiency they they are.
- 1:30:45Speaker 1: They are in immense chaos mode, like they don't know
- 1:30:49Speaker 1: what they're supposed to be doing.
- 1:30:51Speaker 2: And this should be our final ad break. So y'all,
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: thanks for bearing with us. We appreciate y'all. We'll be
- 1:30:57Speaker 2: right back.
- 1:30:59Speaker 1: But the drive starts walking up these giant steps and
- 1:31:05Speaker 1: then oh, by the way, the Senate building. You'll appreciate this.
- 1:31:09Speaker 1: If anybody is a fan of Doctor Who, this building
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: was used in the episode uh where Capaldi and uh
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: Billy that is it? Is it Billy who was with
- 1:31:27Speaker 1: Capaldi's doctor right? Uh? Yes, that was her name, right?
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: Uh the episode where they're like on like the destination
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: like vacation place. Ah, Yes, this is the same building. Yeah. Uh.
- 1:31:47Speaker 1: So when they are outside, when Cassie and man are outside,
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: she mentions the uh uh the driver, the driver, and
- 1:32:00Speaker 1: he's like, oh, what's his name? I can't remember what
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: his name actually was.
- 1:32:04Speaker 2: It's Cloris or.
- 1:32:06Speaker 1: Cloris, Yeah, chloris sounds right.
- 1:32:10Speaker 2: And she because cassiean asks Cassian is like, oh, is
- 1:32:14Speaker 2: he friendly? And she's like, no, he's an ISB agent.
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: Yeah, he's he's a plant, is what she says. And
- 1:32:23Speaker 1: so they well, Cassie is like, oh, hey, hey, we
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: got her, we got her.
- 1:32:28Speaker 2: We're good.
- 1:32:28Speaker 1: We got her. And he's like, wait, but who are you?
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: And before you can even finish his sentence, Cassie and
- 1:32:36Speaker 1: blasts and I want to quickly talk about this, and
- 1:32:39Speaker 1: this is probably like, of course, this is nearing the
- 1:32:42Speaker 1: end of the episode, and we still need to talk
- 1:32:46Speaker 1: about the of course big scene with Bicks. My big
- 1:32:52Speaker 1: question to Katie and Katie, I'm gonna ask you again
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: the driver. We didn't see what happened to the blaster.
- 1:33:02Speaker 1: Do you think he left it in the vehicle or
- 1:33:06Speaker 1: did he have it on him?
- 1:33:09Speaker 2: It could be both ways. He could be trying to
- 1:33:11Speaker 2: play hero, but he could I really think the only
- 1:33:15Speaker 2: reason he left the vehicle is because he wanted to
- 1:33:17Speaker 2: play hero and be the one to bring von Mack.
- 1:33:20Speaker 2: But in so to me, I think he has the blaster.
- 1:33:24Speaker 2: The other thing I think that this bird's eye view
- 1:33:26Speaker 2: of the blaster is supposed to bring to us is
- 1:33:30Speaker 2: one of the questions from Rogue one that Tony Gilroy
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: wanted to answer is why did Cassian shoot the informant
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: at the beginning of Rogue one? And does he do
- 1:33:40Speaker 2: this regularly? And I think it's kind of set there
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: to go. Okay, he does do it before Rogue one,
- 1:33:49Speaker 2: but there's a good reason and Cassian may not have
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: known that, but there's a good reason for it because
- 1:33:56Speaker 2: the driver was potentially holding a blaster and could have
- 1:33:59Speaker 2: killed them both and destroyed everything the Rebellion was trying
- 1:34:02Speaker 2: to go for.
- 1:34:04Speaker 1: And for me, I I know that uh Cyril would
- 1:34:13Speaker 1: have never turned into a good guy. Yeah, But what
- 1:34:18Speaker 1: I do believe is the importance of Man's words and
- 1:34:25Speaker 1: what needed to be said for the birth of the
- 1:34:28Speaker 1: Rebellion is I think people who heard Man could have
- 1:34:35Speaker 1: definitely decided right then and there, hey the Empire is bad.
- 1:34:43Speaker 1: And with that I genuinely believe that the gun. What
- 1:34:49Speaker 1: I what I told Katie is that I genuinely thought
- 1:34:53Speaker 1: that the end of the actual episode was going to
- 1:34:57Speaker 1: be Cassian driving off with Mand and then the camera
- 1:35:04Speaker 1: cutting to a close up of the blaster in the
- 1:35:08Speaker 1: passenger seat. And I think it's still fun to debate
- 1:35:16Speaker 1: if you would have had it or not, because that's
- 1:35:18Speaker 1: the whole point of these types of conversations and in
- 1:35:21Speaker 1: these episodes, and you know TV, of course, but I
- 1:35:26Speaker 1: think there still would have been a lot of weight
- 1:35:29Speaker 1: to see if the blaster was there or.
- 1:35:32Speaker 2: Not, right, because you do have like in these instances,
- 1:35:36Speaker 2: you have to make hard choices, and ultimately it's the
- 1:35:41Speaker 2: age old Hey, save one life that the train could
- 1:35:45Speaker 2: run over, or save five lives that the train could
- 1:35:49Speaker 2: run over. It's the trolley problem of the situation. Yeah.
- 1:35:55Speaker 1: Yeah, So the last part of this episode.
- 1:36:04Speaker 2: Is fix and Cassian, well, okay, sorry, that's not the
- 1:36:09Speaker 2: last part of this episode, because Cassian is like, okay,
- 1:36:12Speaker 2: I'm getting her off of Courson. Like he gets to
- 1:36:15Speaker 2: the safe house, yes, yes, yes, arc two, and we're
- 1:36:20Speaker 2: gonna have to hurry up because apparently my headphones to Dian.
- 1:36:25Speaker 2: He gets to the safe house, Clay is there. You
- 1:36:28Speaker 2: see Will and his girlfriend. They have made it to
- 1:36:31Speaker 2: Corouscont and Clia is like, by the way, you're not
- 1:36:34Speaker 2: taking her to Yavin. They want her to come in
- 1:36:37Speaker 2: with a Yavi and escort. It's basically like that, Hey,
- 1:36:40Speaker 2: we didn't do enough. We screwed up because there was
- 1:36:43Speaker 2: a spy in our midst. So we're going to pretend
- 1:36:46Speaker 2: like this's never happened and we're the ones who got
- 1:36:49Speaker 2: her off Corousson, which is where we get to in Rebels.
- 1:36:53Speaker 2: So you could literally you skip the you skip part
- 1:36:57Speaker 2: of the story, but you go to the Rebels episode
- 1:37:01Speaker 2: with man Mathma and everything, and you get the next
- 1:37:04Speaker 2: part of the story. Guys.
- 1:37:06Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, but uh that is also uh you know,
- 1:37:18Speaker 4: we get some dialogue with Mon and Cassian and and
- 1:37:22Speaker 4: uh Mon and Clay a little bit.
- 1:37:26Speaker 1: But yeah, because we have to hurry up, let's go
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: ahead and talk about this Bix and Cassian thing. I'm
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: gonna say my bit, and then uh, Katie, you can
- 1:37:37Speaker 1: say your bit, But the entire thing is Cassie and
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: tells Bicks, Hey, I'm done. I don't want to do
- 1:37:42Speaker 1: this anymore. I want to live. We need to leave,
- 1:37:45Speaker 1: there's still places that are safe and we can just
- 1:37:48Speaker 1: live our lives. Blah blah blah. Next thing we know,
- 1:37:53Speaker 1: it's the next morning, Bis has gone. Bicks has left
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: a message basically explaining, Hey, if if you were to
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: leave the rebellion, I would feel so bad because I
- 1:38:06Speaker 1: think that you are a pillar of this rebellion. I
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: think you were going to be the reason why we win,
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: and once we do win, once everything is over, we'll
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: find each other and we could be together. I wanted
- 1:38:19Speaker 1: to throw my TV out, fuck in window. Okay, this
- 1:38:25Speaker 1: man is tired. We know. I know. I know that
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: there's rogue one. I know that he has to be there.
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: I understand that. But I hate this writing for the
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: fact that, and maybe it's just the story arc of
- 1:38:47Speaker 1: Cassian he has not been able because he even said
- 1:38:53Speaker 1: it to Luthan earlier this episode or even last episode,
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: I can't remember. He says, I make my own decisions.
- 1:39:01Speaker 1: I make my own decisions, and I think it was
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: foreshadowing this moment with Bicks, because this is not a
- 1:39:08Speaker 1: decision he got to make. Ye, this man is tired
- 1:39:17Speaker 1: and it's not fair.
- 1:39:20Speaker 2: And I don't blame Cassian. I don't blame Bix either, though,
- 1:39:25Speaker 2: because I have been in that situation where it's like, yeah,
- 1:39:30Speaker 2: but okay, if you're if I'm with you and I
- 1:39:33Speaker 2: try to have this conversation with you, you're gonna talk
- 1:39:35Speaker 2: me out of it. And it is very taunting, like
- 1:39:40Speaker 2: she is taunting him with a reward like finish the
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: job and I'll be here waiting, But also like he
- 1:39:49Speaker 2: also her alive.
- 1:39:52Speaker 1: I hope she feels bad she hears back from the rebellion, Hey,
- 1:39:55Speaker 1: Cassian's dead. I hope you feel bad, Bis.
- 1:40:00Speaker 2: I wonder ooh, I'm curious now if I would love
- 1:40:05Speaker 2: it if they chose to do like an epilogue where
- 1:40:10Speaker 2: Bigs is told what happened.
- 1:40:13Speaker 1: Like, uh ooh, would they ever? This is interesting because
- 1:40:24Speaker 1: this is now a publishing question. Do you think they
- 1:40:26Speaker 1: would ever do an anniversary of from a certain point
- 1:40:33Speaker 1: of view with extra stories?
- 1:40:37Speaker 2: I guess we'll find out because fiftieth anniversary is coming up.
- 1:40:41Speaker 1: Yeah, I think I would actually see. I don't know
- 1:40:47Speaker 1: if I would enjoy one with Bis, because I mean,
- 1:40:51Speaker 1: if she feels bad, then yeah, I'd be happy to
- 1:40:56Speaker 1: read a books story. But yeah, I was upset, I
- 1:40:59Speaker 1: was back. I was genuinely upset because I've been there.
- 1:41:03Speaker 1: I have been, and of course not in a literal
- 1:41:07Speaker 1: life saving, galaxy saving type of scenario, but in a
- 1:41:12Speaker 1: scenario where I want to quit. Guys, I'm gonna be
- 1:41:17Speaker 1: the person that every parent hates. For that person to
- 1:41:21Speaker 1: be in your life. It's okay to quit. It is
- 1:41:25Speaker 1: okay to quit, it is okay to give up. Why
- 1:41:29Speaker 1: because just because you can't do it now does not
- 1:41:33Speaker 1: mean you can't do it later.
- 1:41:35Speaker 2: Correct, And you could have had You could have easily
- 1:41:40Speaker 2: had it where they were able to leave and then
- 1:41:45Speaker 2: like Cassie and gets brought back for one more mission
- 1:41:48Speaker 2: kind of thing. You're the only one who could do
- 1:41:50Speaker 2: this kind of thing. But exactly, I think they wanted
- 1:41:55Speaker 2: to leave it open and kind of set you where
- 1:41:58Speaker 2: his mindset is because he is a desperate man and
- 1:42:01Speaker 2: Brokee one, and like we talked about at the beginning
- 1:42:04Speaker 2: with and for her season two theories it what did
- 1:42:07Speaker 2: I say? I said, we have to get to the
- 1:42:09Speaker 2: desperate man. And so Bigs is not going to be
- 1:42:13Speaker 2: in the final arc or she is going to die.
- 1:42:16Speaker 2: And I think you had to cut her out somewhere.
- 1:42:19Speaker 2: So would you have rather her left and be the
- 1:42:22Speaker 2: survivor that she is while setting Cassian up for the
- 1:42:26Speaker 2: man he's supposed to be. Because it feels like Bis
- 1:42:31Speaker 2: wants to be is like somewhat for sensitive or is
- 1:42:34Speaker 2: like needs to believe in something because of her trauma.
- 1:42:39Speaker 2: And so when the Force Healer tells her, hey, Cassian
- 1:42:42Speaker 2: is meant for something special, she goes, oh, I have
- 1:42:46Speaker 2: to help him be that then, like that is my purpose.
- 1:42:49Speaker 2: I have to be that person for him to help
- 1:42:51Speaker 2: him be yes.
- 1:42:53Speaker 1: And I genuinely think it's that. I think that she,
- 1:43:00Speaker 1: with everything that they've gone through, she needs something to
- 1:43:04Speaker 1: latch onto, and that's something is the hope that Cassian
- 1:43:10Speaker 1: will bring the rebellion to success and will save the galaxy.
- 1:43:17Speaker 1: It just it just sucks. I I I get the situation.
- 1:43:25Speaker 1: I understand what the big decision was, but to not
- 1:43:32Speaker 1: have Cassian be able to make that decision for himself
- 1:43:40Speaker 1: is selfish. Is it's it's not fair. And again, I
- 1:43:48Speaker 1: know where we have to be at the end of
- 1:43:51Speaker 1: this season. I get it, I really do. It doesn't
- 1:43:55Speaker 1: mean that I have to love everything about it. Oh, no,
- 1:43:59Speaker 1: you're but uh but after this we see the uh
- 1:44:06Speaker 1: the birth of uh our droid friend.
- 1:44:11Speaker 2: Yes, I love this. It is the meat cute.
- 1:44:18Speaker 1: Uh and I love how hesitant that Cassian is with this.
- 1:44:23Speaker 1: He's like, fuck the safety harnesses, like, I'm not gonna
- 1:44:27Speaker 1: wear these glasses, I'm not gonna step back. Give me
- 1:44:30Speaker 1: a blaster and that's all I need. Ah. But they
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: power him up and he looks at Cassie and he's like, uh, hey,
- 1:44:43Speaker 1: I greatly appreciate it if you stop pointing that thing
- 1:44:46Speaker 1: at me, you know, And that's literally looked legit like
- 1:44:52Speaker 1: he says those statements. The cut goes from from uh
- 1:44:58Speaker 1: oh shit, K two.
- 1:44:59Speaker 2: A so yeah.
- 1:45:02Speaker 1: K twos so and then it jumps back to Cassie
- 1:45:04Speaker 1: and and then literally cut to credits and that's it,
- 1:45:09Speaker 1: and we will see everybody in the next and final arc. Yes,
- 1:45:16Speaker 1: so before Katie's headphones die. Of course, you can always
- 1:45:22Speaker 1: find me on Blue Sky, on threads, on Instagram, follow
- 1:45:26Speaker 1: Instagram and threads for book stuff that I am guys.
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: Uh genuinely uh freaking uh, oh my god. What what
- 1:45:39Speaker 1: is the book that I'm currently reading? Yes, Red Rising
- 1:45:47Speaker 1: quite possibly one of the greatest books I have ever read.
- 1:45:51Speaker 1: I'm not even finished. Quite possibly one of the greatest
- 1:45:54Speaker 1: books I have ever read. I cannot wait to get
- 1:45:57Speaker 1: my hands on the next book that's gonna be super fun.
- 1:46:03Speaker 1: This weekend that we are recording is the weekend of
