- 0:00Speaker 1: Enough is enough.
- 0:05Speaker 2: I have had it.
- 0:06Speaker 3: Why so serious?
- 0:08Speaker 2: And we hold the world ransom for Wayne Gandy. Excuse
- 0:12Speaker 2: me while I whip this out. Broadcasting live in Atlanta, Georgia.
- 0:18Speaker 4: This, this is the Sports Chalk Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 0:23Speaker 2: You may build me up.
- 0:25Speaker 5: Build me up, yeah.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Can you build me up, yeah? You won't break me down.
- 0:29Speaker 2: I've come too far. I've come too far, yeah.
- 0:32Speaker 6: Yeah, I've come.
- 0:33Speaker 7: Too far, yeah.
- 0:34Speaker 2: So just throw in the towel.
- 0:36Speaker 4: It's a new day.
- 0:37Speaker 2: I'm a, I'm a doobie. Yeah, I'm gonna go all
- 0:39Speaker 2: the way. You may build me up. Welcome, welcome, welcome!
- 0:46Speaker 4: You're listening to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports Shock,
- 0:49Speaker 4: Wayne Candy. Good morning to you. We're not going to
- 0:52Speaker 4: waste any time. We're going to jump right in it
- 0:53Speaker 4: because the guys are already on fire about this Atlanta
- 0:57Speaker 4: Dream Golden State Valkyries game today at 1230. A lot
- 1:04Speaker 4: of commentary about the arena and the schedule.
- 1:10Speaker 2: Once again, it's just a story.
- 1:11Speaker 4: As I always say, I don't know why everything has
- 1:14Speaker 4: to exist on our idea of life now about blame.
- 1:20Speaker 4: We talk about the blame. We talk about the circumstances
- 1:23Speaker 4: more than we talk about the game. You do know
- 1:26Speaker 4: the Dream have to win this game to force a
- 1:28Speaker 4: game seven. But nobody is having that conversation anymore. Everybody's
- 1:33Speaker 4: having the conversation about an arena. There's nobody at fault.
- 1:39Speaker 4: There's nobody that needs to be fired. And it's just
- 1:41Speaker 4: a sports job. I'm going to give everybody on the
- 1:43Speaker 4: panel today. Comanche Greg is in the building. Big Kenny,
- 1:45Speaker 4: the funny man himself. And the bad producer is here.
- 1:49Speaker 4: I don't know what the friction, the tension. I don't
- 1:52Speaker 4: know what is happening to us as just human beings.
- 1:57Speaker 4: When it comes to little topics like this. I get
- 2:02Speaker 4: more chatter, more text about this than the 15-year-old that
- 2:07Speaker 4: shot people around the homecoming events for FAMU. But people
- 2:12Speaker 4: want to argue about an arena when there's nobody at fault. Literally,
- 2:19Speaker 4: the NBA is not at fault. The WNBA is not
- 2:22Speaker 4: at fault. The Dream, not at fault. And stop acting
- 2:29Speaker 4: like you don't take off half the time to go
- 2:31Speaker 4: to daytime baseball games and things like that. Nobody went
- 2:36Speaker 4: to work. $ 5 billion made for FIFA and the World Cup.
- 2:41Speaker 2: $ 5 billion. They only estimated 3.6 or 3.7.
- 2:43Speaker 4: Nobody was at work. Games all times of day. Just
- 2:55Speaker 4: out and about. Like it was a month vacation. People
- 3:00Speaker 4: push drinking laws. You could drink till five, six in
- 3:04Speaker 4: the morning. There was no work. True summertime. So when I'm,
- 3:11Speaker 4: I don't get where we sit around and we debate
- 3:14Speaker 4: things that like, oh, well, nobody's fault. The dream plays
- 3:21Speaker 4: in a venue. That they learned this season and they
- 3:25Speaker 4: probably knew last season and they probably knew years before.
- 3:31Speaker 4: When they left State Farm, they were always hoping to
- 3:34Speaker 4: outgrow where they are now by the airport.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I think it's the Gateway Center. Yes.
- 3:42Speaker 4: They make plans next year. These people are in business.
- 3:47Speaker 4: Why are y'all so personal? This is business, right? So
- 3:51Speaker 4: I have a venue. I book dates. Something comes up
- 3:55Speaker 4: where you need a date, and I try to work
- 3:58Speaker 4: with you, and then the public gets in it as
- 4:00Speaker 4: though somebody is oppressing. Nobody's oppressing anybody. We ran the numbers.
- 4:08Speaker 4: To do what you want is going to cost us
- 4:10Speaker 4: more than giving you the moment earlier, which will be
- 4:14Speaker 4: 1230 today. I'm not upset that the game's at 1230.
- 4:20Speaker 4: I doubt that Angel Reese and her teammates even care
- 4:25Speaker 4: where they're playing this game. They need to win or
- 4:32Speaker 4: the Valkyries will hang banners in their arena regardless of
- 4:37Speaker 4: whether there is two people there or 20,000 people there.
- 4:43Speaker 4: That's what's at stake. By 3 o'clock today, either they're
- 4:49Speaker 4: headed back to California or the Valkyries.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Now, put yourself in that. Do you care?
- 4:56Speaker 4: How many, what the size of the venue, what time?
- 5:01Speaker 2: No, I got to win. I got to win. From
- 5:08Speaker 2: what I know, the State Farm is sold out.
- 5:12Speaker 4: Now, sold out for State Farm and The Dream a
- 5:16Speaker 4: lot of time exists because they cover the top row.
- 5:20Speaker 4: Same thing they do with the Atlanta United. They cover
- 5:22Speaker 4: the top row of the bin. So don't get into
- 5:25Speaker 4: the numbers of how the Falcons, they don't use the
- 5:29Speaker 4: whole stadium unless truly necessary, which is a great thing
- 5:35Speaker 4: because I want to be able to make a bubble
- 5:37Speaker 4: that looks full. A lot of teams need to do that.
- 5:42Speaker 4: But guys, you know, I don't know. Please help me.
- 5:47Speaker 4: Comanche Greg, Big Kenny, bad producer. Understand why is it
- 5:51Speaker 4: such a debate and we need to place blame on
- 5:58Speaker 4: something that who we, nobody kicked the dream out. That's
- 6:06Speaker 4: how everybody's talking about it. Like the State Farm kicked
- 6:09Speaker 4: them out. They had to find a place to play.
- 6:12Speaker 4: Excuse me. They already had a place to play.
- 6:17Speaker 2: Yes. They got a home. They just needed a bigger
- 6:22Speaker 2: place to play.
- 6:24Speaker 4: And in this city, the biggest arena for basketball is
- 6:28Speaker 4: State Farm Arena, which was booked.
- 6:32Speaker 2: For the last two nights. So, guys. Good morning.
- 6:36Speaker 4: Comanche, tell me why the world is mad, son. Tell
- 6:41Speaker 4: me why they mad.
- 6:42Speaker 8: Because they're not able to play at a better time
- 6:49Speaker 8: than 1230. So this is discrimination and this is not
- 6:54Speaker 8: protecting women. And it's sexist. It's racist somehow. And that's
- 7:04Speaker 8: from the people who don't understand how The venue's booked events.
- 7:08Speaker 2: Bad producer, tell me why they mad, son. I'm along
- 7:14Speaker 2: with Greg.
- 7:15Speaker 9: I don't understand as far as I agree with Greg.
- 7:18Speaker 9: The venue was already booked. My thing is, if the
- 7:22Speaker 9: WNBA had sold enough advertising, probably dollars to push it
- 7:26Speaker 9: up into a later prime time, maybe you could have
- 7:30Speaker 9: forced it.
- 7:31Speaker 2: No, no, no, no, no.
- 7:33Speaker 4: Let's not do that. On this subject, we're going to
- 7:37Speaker 4: keep it. On this subject, we're going to keep it
- 7:41Speaker 4: on what is actually on the table to eat. There
- 7:46Speaker 4: is no tartar sauce. So either eat the fish how
- 7:49Speaker 4: it is or with the condiments on the table. That
- 7:54Speaker 4: places blame on the WNBA. That's not the WNBA's fault.
- 8:02Speaker 4: You want them to create what?
- 8:06Speaker 2: For what? How you going to put pressure?
- 8:12Speaker 4: Your Valkyries game is not a bigger game for me
- 8:15Speaker 4: to move the Hawks tonight.
- 8:17Speaker 2: I ran the numbers.
- 8:20Speaker 4: Even though yours has more significance.
- 8:26Speaker 2: The numbers are the same. So, Big Kenny, uh... Tell
- 8:32Speaker 2: me why they mad, son.
- 8:33Speaker 4: Because this is my fourth out. And this is why
- 8:38Speaker 4: they mad. Because somebody wants them to be mad. Division
- 8:45Speaker 4: draws attention. The WNBA and this event has all of
- 8:51Speaker 4: the bells and whistles. It's got gender identity participants everywhere.
- 8:56Speaker 4: It's got female sports versus male sports. There's billions of
- 9:01Speaker 4: dollars versus hundreds of billions of dollars.
- 9:05Speaker 2: And I get to.
- 9:06Speaker 10: Say, see, they treat these people worse than they treat men.
- 9:13Speaker 2: Those people. There's no fault here.
- 9:16Speaker 4: It's business. It's mathematics. This plus this equals that. This
- 9:21Speaker 4: minus that equals this.
- 9:24Speaker 10: And nobody wants to see that angle because that won't
- 9:27Speaker 10: make you click.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Because that won't make you listen.
- 9:31Speaker 4: Because that won't make you buy whatever subscription you get
- 9:36Speaker 4: to feel the way that you feel when you support
- 9:39Speaker 4: an issue that you have no information about. that's what
- 9:43Speaker 4: all of this is about I get to go no
- 9:45Speaker 4: man see women's sports just as important but the Hawks
- 9:49Speaker 4: need to be the NBA ought to be ashamed and
- 9:53Speaker 4: it's shut up it's how much for that $ 52 I
- 9:56Speaker 4: ain't got but $ 38 oh man I'm gonna need.
- 10:00Speaker 10: Need 52 I can't get it bro that's it that's
- 10:03Speaker 10: it either you can afford it or you can't either
- 10:06Speaker 10: you planned or you didn't if you want a ticket
- 10:10Speaker 10: and you go to buy that ticket it's already sold
- 10:12Speaker 10: what happens You don't get to see it. You don't
- 10:16Speaker 10: go to the sporting event. And these people did not plan.
- 10:20Speaker 10: It was, as we discussed off air, they don't really
- 10:24Speaker 10: think probably the dream was going to be.
- 10:26Speaker 2: Around at this time of season. They didn't think so themselves.
- 10:30Speaker 2: Hold on.
- 10:31Speaker 4: When they got Angel Reese, I said that there's no
- 10:32Speaker 4: reason they shouldn't win the championship. Back then, you don't
- 10:36Speaker 4: go book phantom dates.
- 10:41Speaker 2: You can't. All you guys are in... Booking. Is that
- 10:45Speaker 2: not correct?
- 10:46Speaker 11: Yes.
- 10:46Speaker 2: Do y'all book phantom dates?
- 10:49Speaker 11: No.
- 10:49Speaker 2: No.
- 10:51Speaker 4: December 7th, I might have a comedy show. I might
- 10:56Speaker 4: need a DJ. You available?
- 11:01Speaker 2: You might. Yes. I haven't decided yet.
- 11:05Speaker 11: Oh.
- 11:06Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 11:07Speaker 2: Well, I'm saying when you decide. Let me know. I'm
- 11:10Speaker 2: saying when you decide. I'll see.
- 11:12Speaker 4: When you, right, I'm saying, when you, I'm open in
- 11:16Speaker 4: December on whatever that date you said.
- 11:18Speaker 2: Right now.
- 11:20Speaker 10: But you not sure. So what I'm saying, when you
- 11:23Speaker 10: get sure, you holler at me.
- 11:25Speaker 2: And then you will check your schedule to see if
- 11:28Speaker 2: you haven't booked nothing.
- 11:29Speaker 12: Right.
- 11:30Speaker 2: Is that not how it works?
- 11:31Speaker 12: Right.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Okay, so I don't get where this is. Once again,
- 11:34Speaker 2: I don't get the dream.
- 11:36Speaker 4: I believe thought they could, but you can't book phantom
- 11:39Speaker 4: dates in a place that's not your home. And remember,
- 11:44Speaker 4: for all you that don't understand, the dream rents state farms.
- 11:50Speaker 4: State Farm Arena is a venue. The Hawks don't pay
- 11:56Speaker 4: rent because the owner of the venue owns the Hawks.
- 12:04Speaker 4: Same as the Knicks. The Knicks don't play rent. It's
- 12:08Speaker 4: their house. Anybody else. And how do I know that?
- 12:14Speaker 4: Because I know that even recently, State Farm sold the
- 12:19Speaker 4: parking areas for you to go down there and the
- 12:22Speaker 4: parking is high. They sold it to an outside source
- 12:26Speaker 4: for anything that is not Hawks. That means that the Hawks,
- 12:33Speaker 4: when the Hawks play, the arena owns the parking. When
- 12:38Speaker 4: the Hawks don't play, the outside company paid State Farm.
- 12:46Speaker 2: And they control the parking.
- 12:50Speaker 4: Because State Farm is an arena that's in the business
- 12:56Speaker 4: of making money. Let's go dream. We'll be back with
- 13:00Speaker 4: more of the Sports Chalk Show right after this.
- 13:14Speaker 2: Don't go away.
- 13:15Speaker 5: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gamby is
- 13:21Speaker 5: coming up next.
- 13:23Speaker 3: Returning military vets. They've served our country at home and abroad.
- 13:27Speaker 3: They've slept in tanks, foxholes, and even out in the weather.
- 13:31Speaker 3: They've had our backs.
- 13:32Speaker 2: We have theirs. The Sports Chalk Man of Honor, Mr.
- 13:35Speaker 3: Scott Holliday, CEO of Mattress Heroes USA, is giving back
- 13:39Speaker 3: to the vets by giving away a free mattress to
- 13:42Speaker 3: returning vets every single week on the Sports Chalk Show.
- 13:45Speaker 2: You had our backs. Now we have yours.
- 13:48Speaker 3: To register your returning vet, email heroes at thesportschalk.com or

- 14:02Speaker 3: coming home within the next 90 days, write and tell
- 14:05Speaker 3: us why they should be the Mattress Heroes USA Vet
- 14:07Speaker 3: of the Week.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Email heroes at thesportsjock.com.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Mattress Heroes USA with two locations, North Cross and McDonough.

- 14:19Speaker 12: Talking about guns with others might not always feel comfortable,
- 14:22Speaker 12: but it could save a life. Here's a way to
- 14:24Speaker 12: start a conversation. Your family is going over to your
- 14:27Speaker 12: neighbor's home for dinner for the first time. How would
- 14:30Speaker 12: you ask if there are any unlocked guns in the home?
- 14:32Speaker 13: Hey.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Hey, we're so excited for tonight.
- 14:35Speaker 9: Before we come over, though, may I ask if there
- 14:37Speaker 9: are any unlocked guns in your home?
- 14:39Speaker 6: Our guns are stored securely, locked in a safe that
- 14:41Speaker 6: the kids can't access.
- 14:44Speaker 2: Awesome.
- 14:44Speaker 12: Learn how to have the conversation at agree2agree. org. Brought to
- 14:48Speaker 12: you by the Ad Council.
- 14:50Speaker 13: There's danger out there. It lurks on highways and quiet
- 14:53Speaker 13: neighborhood streets. It's more likely to kill you than a
- 14:55Speaker 13: shark and more terrifying than the biggest snake. Distracted driving
- 14:59Speaker 13: claims lives every day. Every notification, swipe, social post, video,
- 15:04Speaker 13: or selfie while driving risks your life. So while you
- 15:08Speaker 13: might think public speaking or the zombie apocalypse is scary,
- 15:11Speaker 13: what's really terrifying and even deadly is distracted driving.
- 15:15Speaker 2: Eyes forward.
- 15:16Speaker 13: Don't drive distracted. Brought to you by NHTSA and the
- 15:19Speaker 13: Ad Council.
- 15:21Speaker 2: And now, back to the sports jar, Wayne Ganty.
- 15:26Speaker 3: The Jock of the Day is sponsored by MattressHeroesUSA.com. The
- 15:30Speaker 3: sleep you deserve.
- 15:31Speaker 2: At a price you can afford.
- 15:33Speaker 12: Now, it's time to present the Jock of the Day
- 15:36Speaker 12: on the Sports Jock Show.
- 15:37Speaker 1: He's taken it.
- 15:38Speaker 2: To a completely different level this year.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Where we highlight an athlete that has taken their game
- 15:43Speaker 3: to the next level.
- 15:51Speaker 9: Welcome back to the.
- 15:59Speaker 4: Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports Shock Wayne Gandy. Thursday
- 16:03Speaker 4: night football tonight.
- 16:05Speaker 2: The Carolina Panthers taking on Jordan Love and the Green
- 16:08Speaker 2: Bay Packers.
- 16:11Speaker 4: Both teams lost on Sunday. Short week trying to get right.
- 16:17Speaker 4: Are the Packers in that division along with the Bears,
- 16:20Speaker 4: who are playing well? Detroit, which is up and down
- 16:25Speaker 4: as well. Carolina in a little weaker division when you
- 16:29Speaker 4: look at the NFC South with the Falcons, Bucks, and Saints.
- 16:33Speaker 4: But both teams are definitely, you know, Green Bay, I
- 16:38Speaker 4: would say, had more expectations than On this season, Carolina
- 16:43Speaker 4: kind of playing above their head, but playing very well
- 16:46Speaker 4: with Bryce Young showing a lot of life this year
- 16:49Speaker 4: at the quarterback position. 12.30 in a couple of hours
- 16:52Speaker 4: here in Atlanta, the Valkyries take on the Atlanta Dream.
- 16:56Speaker 4: Eric Dinkins is asking basically unofficially that if, Any worker,
- 17:06Speaker 4: any student wants to check out the game, almost giving
- 17:10Speaker 4: everybody a hall pass to try to support the dream
- 17:13Speaker 4: in this game six.
- 17:15Speaker 2: You usually see this for parades.
- 17:20Speaker 4: You see this for, I know in Florida when I
- 17:23Speaker 4: was growing up, anytime they had a rocket launch from
- 17:28Speaker 4: Cape Canaveral, we would get off, basically school ended. whenever
- 17:33Speaker 4: the launch and you just, uh, they would call the
- 17:35Speaker 4: buses if you wanted to, you know, go out in
- 17:38Speaker 4: the different areas and look for the launch, um, things
- 17:43Speaker 4: like that. So it's not uncommon. Um, it's just might
- 17:47Speaker 4: be uncommon to Atlanta because Atlanta, um, you know, other
- 17:52Speaker 4: than the Braves, um, consistently being in these kinds of positions, um,
- 17:59Speaker 4: Atlanta is rarely with their other sports teams in there,
- 18:03Speaker 4: but now the Dream have a chance not to win Comanche.
- 18:08Speaker 2: It's just to keep the party going, guys. Yeah, that's
- 18:13Speaker 2: what matters.
- 18:14Speaker 4: I'm saying if you're going to a party, you would
- 18:18Speaker 4: like it to still be going when you got there,
- 18:20Speaker 4: I would imagine. Yeah, this will go over and stake
- 18:23Speaker 4: the championship. Atlanta... needs to keep this going if the
- 18:28Speaker 4: game's the day. So probably game seven, if there is one,
- 18:33Speaker 4: would fall on, they got to get back to California.
- 18:36Speaker 4: So Saturday at the earliest or Sunday. Early on in
- 18:41Speaker 4: this series, we even talked about the Golden State Valkyries
- 18:44Speaker 4: had to ask an artist. To switch and they might
- 18:49Speaker 4: have had that conversation before the season when they did
- 18:52Speaker 4: the contract or they ran the numbers, as I said,
- 18:55Speaker 4: and saw that it would be more lucrative to switch
- 18:58Speaker 4: some things around. Or the artists might have had something
- 19:01Speaker 4: where they got a deal like, hey, move your date.
- 19:05Speaker 4: We'll give you a discount or we will give you
- 19:08Speaker 4: another discount. I'll add a date for you later in
- 19:11Speaker 4: the year. We willing and dealing, Comanche.
- 19:15Speaker 2: We willing and dealing. I don't know what everybody else
- 19:18Speaker 2: is doing around here.
- 19:20Speaker 4: All these mattresses must go.
- 19:25Speaker 2: They won't sleep on themselves. I think it was maybe
- 19:28Speaker 2: Doja Cat. Yeah, it was Doja Cat. So they go
- 19:31Speaker 2: to Doja Cat. Look, we'll give you 50% discount.
- 19:33Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Same arena.
- 19:36Speaker 4: They did have a deal. All that, but still an $ 800, 000
- 19:38Speaker 4: for the venue. We'll give you a $ 400, 000. Everything else
- 19:39Speaker 4: is the same. And she knowing she can sell it out.
- 19:49Speaker 2: So I've just doubled my money. So, okay, cool. Dream, y'all.
- 19:54Speaker 4: Valkyries, come on in. And a couple of tickets to
- 19:57Speaker 4: the Valkyrie game since you're already in town.
- 19:59Speaker 2: Yeah, sweet. The whole little thing. You and your crew. Everything.
- 20:03Speaker 2: Make a basketball song and put the Valkyries in it.
- 20:05Speaker 2: We got some. We willing and dealing.
- 20:07Speaker 4: We willing and dealing. Stop thinking about it from your couch.
- 20:10Speaker 4: With your lemon pepper wings in your hand. Think about
- 20:13Speaker 4: it from how we going to be doing business out
- 20:15Speaker 4: here in this world.
- 20:17Speaker 2: Mayor Dickens.
- 20:18Speaker 4: You say you want a full size. Well, I got
- 20:20Speaker 4: full queen. They only $ 10 more. But if you're going
- 20:25Speaker 4: to get 50 of them.
- 20:26Speaker 2: What about a full king? Look, I can order those,
- 20:30Speaker 2: but I got full queen today.
- 20:32Speaker 4: So the Valkyries today, and I don't know why 1234.
- 20:39Speaker 4: If it was Thanksgiving or Christmas. We'd be up. Everybody
- 20:43Speaker 4: would be dressed. They'd be packed out. Auburn game started
- 20:48Speaker 4: at 11 a.m. Central last week. I think Deion Sanders,
- 20:54Speaker 4: we'll talk about primetime and the Buffaloes because y'all just
- 20:58Speaker 4: going to act like that's not going on.
- 21:01Speaker 2: Don't say nothing.
- 21:03Speaker 13: Don't.
- 21:06Speaker 4: We'll get around to it, but the three of y'all
- 21:07Speaker 4: are acting like what's going on out in Colorado. But
- 21:10Speaker 4: my point for saying them, they are, they have a game.
- 21:15Speaker 4: I think their game this week starts two here, which
- 21:18Speaker 4: would be 11 there. So I don't know what's with,
- 21:23Speaker 4: Remember Christmas Day when the NBA started at like 7.30 a.m.
- 21:28Speaker 4: and they played until 11.45 p.m.? Remember? I mean, I'm
- 21:32Speaker 4: saying the kids were waking up like, Santa's been here
- 21:37Speaker 4: and started it for them.
- 21:39Speaker 2: It was the same thing.
- 21:40Speaker 4: So why are people complaining now? The NBA took over
- 21:44Speaker 4: Christmas Day from the crack of dawn till late in
- 21:49Speaker 4: the evening, and everybody was fine, fine.
- 21:52Speaker 2: But it's not a holiday. Officially. And holidays are not holidays. Officially.
- 21:59Speaker 4: The guy down the street from me, Christmas lights are on.
- 22:05Speaker 4: We haven't even gotten Thanksgiving. I mean Halloween.
- 22:09Speaker 8: He's following what the corporations are doing. Sam's Club has
- 22:13Speaker 8: had Christmas stuff since July.
- 22:17Speaker 4: He's going with the early install discount.
- 22:21Speaker 2: He willing and Dylan.
- 22:22Speaker 4: Oh, okay.
- 22:22Speaker 2: Willing and Dylan.
- 22:24Speaker 4: Because you get the early install and it costs you
- 22:28Speaker 4: about 30% less if you let me come in October.
- 22:32Speaker 2: So what's the problem?
- 22:33Speaker 4: Now your lights are going to be on until the
- 22:37Speaker 4: new year. So I don't know when Christmas stopped for you.
- 22:40Speaker 4: If I'm going to run my lights that long, I'm
- 22:42Speaker 4: never taking them down.
- 22:43Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I would think. If I'm going to
- 22:45Speaker 2: run them for basically three months, I might as well
- 22:50Speaker 2: just let them stay up there. Every once in a while,
- 22:53Speaker 2: I'll turn them on. Just to make sure there's no
- 22:56Speaker 2: bulbs out, make sure they're working.
- 22:57Speaker 4: That's a person who paid a bill decision because everybody
- 23:00Speaker 4: else that lived there, like, man, Christmas all year, come on.
- 23:05Speaker 2: Three months of it would make me feel like it's
- 23:07Speaker 2: all year. I'm saying all year. And then walking up
- 23:10Speaker 2: and down, taking them down all the time. Because the
- 23:12Speaker 2: trick-or-treaters are going to be confused.
- 23:13Speaker 4: They're going to think they was going to a Halloween party.
- 23:17Speaker 2: It's Christmas around here. We'll be back.
- 23:19Speaker 4: We'll talk about the Milwaukee Brewers' prime time. Get the
- 23:24Speaker 4: guys' idea and comments on how the world has received Jay-Z.
- 23:29Speaker 11: Mm.
- 23:33Speaker 4: You guys have talked to different people. See how they
- 23:35Speaker 4: have felt about Jay-Z becoming the Super Bowl halftime. That
- 23:40Speaker 4: and much more on the Sports Jock Show when we
- 23:42Speaker 4: get back.
- 23:43Speaker 14: Don't go away.
- 23:44Speaker 2: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gamby is
- 23:47Speaker 2: coming up next. As veterans, we're no strangers to helping others.
- 24:03Speaker 15: That's what we were taught, service before self. But we
- 24:06Speaker 15: do have one question for the veterans listening. When is
- 24:09Speaker 15: the last time you reached out for help?
- 24:13Speaker 12: If you or someone you know needs resources, whether it's
- 24:16Speaker 12: for stress, finances, employment, or mental health.
- 24:19Speaker 16: Don't wait.
- 24:20Speaker 15: Reach out.
- 24:21Speaker 17: Find more information at va.gov slash reach.
- 24:24Speaker 2: That's va.gov slash reach.

- 25:22Speaker 2: Or see their ad on thesportshot.com. Nobody had to tell
- 25:24Speaker 2: your grandparents not to drive while using their typewriters. Why
- 25:39Speaker 2: should it be any different for us kids and our
- 25:41Speaker 2: cell phones? Distracted driving was the cause of more than 3,000
- 25:45Speaker 2: deaths in 2022. Come on, we're smarter than this. Let's
- 25:50Speaker 2: put down the phones and focus on the roads. Drive safe, everybody.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Don't drive distracted.
- 25:56Speaker 19: A message brought to you by the National Highway Traffic
- 25:58Speaker 19: Safety Administration, Project Yellow Light, and the Ad Council.
- 26:04Speaker 2: And now, back to the sports jar, Wayne Ganty. I
- 26:12Speaker 2: buy a new car for the beat, for real. I
- 26:16Speaker 2: tear down the mind with the beat, for real.
- 26:19Speaker 14: You can't even talk to the beat, nah.
- 26:21Speaker 2: Chief of the room, where boss is he from?
- 26:31Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Sports Jock Show. I'm the Sports Jock,
- 26:34Speaker 4: Wayne Gandy. Good morning to you out there and listening lands.
- 26:38Speaker 4: I'm informed a couple of guys, we got some comments
- 26:41Speaker 4: already about this dream thing that seems to not go
- 26:45Speaker 4: away even though the game is in four hours.
- 26:48Speaker 2: We're still on that. So hit me up with what
- 26:50Speaker 2: everybody has to say.
- 26:51Speaker 10: A loyal online listener, Sports Jock, and we've got some
- 26:55Speaker 10: who stopped by from time to time. First of all, uh, uh, uh,
- 27:00Speaker 10: Elder Casey Huey Sr. said, even swap ain't no swindler.
- 27:06Speaker 10: Like you say, we out here wheeling and dealing, so
- 27:09Speaker 10: everybody's trying to place blame, but everything in his mind
- 27:14Speaker 10: is status quo for business. Zay Gilliam said, the Auburn
- 27:18Speaker 10: game is on Saturday. Thanksgiving and Christmas are non-work and
- 27:23Speaker 10: non-school days. Bad examples, but The FIFA games were a
- 27:28Speaker 10: great example of the adults in the city being outside
- 27:31Speaker 10: during work hours for six weeks, not one day, six
- 27:35Speaker 10: weeks straight.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Elder Casey said.
- 27:38Speaker 10: He's never been a fan of Jay-Z, even when he
- 27:42Speaker 10: was in the streets. And Zay Gilliam also said the
- 27:45Speaker 10: Braves World Series parade was through the city and ended
- 27:49Speaker 10: at the Battery and the stadium in the afternoon, same
- 27:53Speaker 10: time as.
- 27:55Speaker 10: This WNBA game, they were adults and kids there on
- 27:59Speaker 10: a weekday.
- 28:00Speaker 4: This is fake outrage, LOL. Fake outrage, I definitely agree, guys.
- 28:06Speaker 4: There was some mention of the holiday Auburn games. Football
- 28:13Speaker 4: happens every night. You're just not aware of it. They
- 28:16Speaker 4: have a college game every night. Did y'all know that? Tuesdays, Wednesdays,
- 28:21Speaker 4: Thursday nights.
- 28:22Speaker 8: I've seen the MAAC conference play Tuesday and Wednesday games.
- 28:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm talking about multiple games, not just one game.
- 28:29Speaker 4: We're just not watching. I'm saying, why wouldn't they? Why
- 28:32Speaker 4: wouldn't they? I mean, because this is the thing.
- 28:35Speaker 2: I know because, as we talked about earlier, we are
- 28:37Speaker 2: in the booking business.
- 28:39Speaker 4: I know that there are plenty of nights that you
- 28:41Speaker 4: think people shouldn't be sitting around listening to jokes. But
- 28:45Speaker 4: somewhere on a random Tuesday, there's a room full of
- 28:49Speaker 4: people in the middle of the night listening to me
- 28:51Speaker 4: tell a joke.
- 28:52Speaker 10: And they enjoying they self. And all those tickets get sold.
- 28:56Speaker 10: And you might not hear them or you might not
- 28:58Speaker 10: come to the show, but all those tickets get sold.
- 29:01Speaker 10: So that's going to keep going on.
- 29:02Speaker 11: 1996, 2006.
- 29:03Speaker 4: This is an issue. Thursday at 1230 p.m. On a non-holiday.
- 29:09Speaker 4: In 2026, I've sat and watched the world for a decade.
- 29:22Speaker 2: We do not care what time, when, how many days,
- 29:27Speaker 2: how much sleep, anything. That's why the NFL has invaded
- 29:33Speaker 2: every day they choose to. They are almost up to
- 29:38Speaker 2: seven days a week. I, understand the comment and there
- 29:41Speaker 2: was a time where it had to fall on holidays
- 29:46Speaker 2: it had to nobody cares about work or education anymore
- 29:53Speaker 2: when it comes to their getting their fix of the
- 29:57Speaker 2: spectacle They don't even care about price. No, no.
- 30:03Speaker 4: They need they high. They need to hit that arm
- 30:07Speaker 4: like Big Kenny has taught me.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Scratch. I didn't listen.
- 30:10Speaker 4: Get their high command. They don't care whether it is
- 30:14Speaker 4: their mobile device. That's why Mayor Dickens is making the statement.
- 30:20Speaker 2: Just go on. Ain't no sense in wasting productivity.
- 30:24Speaker 4: Don't let them hit the wrong button up there at
- 30:26Speaker 4: City Hall and then everything get turned off.
- 30:29Speaker 2: Let's just let them go home and mess up at home.
- 30:33Speaker 4: If you going to be distracted driving, be distracted driving
- 30:37Speaker 4: your personal vehicle and.
- 30:39Speaker 2: Not a Delta airplane. Stay home. Them kids don't be learning.
- 30:45Speaker 4: No way. Now you want them all to pack into Tri-Cities.
- 30:49Speaker 4: Why they trying to watch?
- 30:50Speaker 2: He's giving so that nobody tomorrow can go to HR
- 30:54Speaker 2: or go to the school board. He's telling Miss Williams.
- 30:59Speaker 4: That when the kids come back from lunch, if you
- 31:01Speaker 4: just want to flip the TV on the dream game.
- 31:04Speaker 2: If you just want to flip. You don't have to
- 31:06Speaker 2: worry about your job. Just flip it on. Now, now, now. Andre, man, Andre,
- 31:13Speaker 2: you know your people.
- 31:14Speaker 4: You should have said, if you want to work, you
- 31:17Speaker 4: don't have to worry about your job just for the
- 31:19Speaker 4: dream game. You should have been specific because somebody will
- 31:22Speaker 4: be out tomorrow. I'm just trying to share, and that's
- 31:24Speaker 4: why I use different examples, like when parades happen for
- 31:28Speaker 4: whatever celebration. In Florida, I know every time it was
- 31:33Speaker 4: like a half day.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:35Speaker 4: Whenever there was a launch. And back when I was
- 31:38Speaker 4: in school, they was launching at least– Twice a year.
- 31:43Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 31:43Speaker 4: That's how all the satellites got up there. In the
- 31:46Speaker 4: first place. Because they were just... We had no launches
- 31:49Speaker 4: in the wild. And I'm talking about not the launches
- 31:51Speaker 4: that they were making like, oh, we got this crew
- 31:55Speaker 4: going to space. We're talking about any time the smoke
- 31:58Speaker 4: was going to come from the horizon. A little test
- 32:01Speaker 4: rocket launch. We just go outside and watch it. And
- 32:04Speaker 4: you know in the 80s... They would put something in space.
- 32:06Speaker 4: They would put something in space.
- 32:08Speaker 2: Because you could... Even though Haines City is... probably, what,
- 32:11Speaker 2: 100 and some miles away. That's a high scale. You
- 32:14Speaker 2: can still see the smoke. You can feel the heat.
- 32:17Speaker 4: You can see the smoke in the air from a distance.
- 32:20Speaker 4: And we would just walk outside, and it was becoming
- 32:23Speaker 4: half days, basically.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Like, okay, can I have a lunch?
- 32:27Speaker 4: And in the 80s, between the Bears and the Chicago
- 32:31Speaker 4: Bulls and crack, we was out of school all the time.
- 32:35Speaker 2: I'm saying we was barely ever at the school.
- 32:39Speaker 4: Speaking of barely attending, Maryland are offering students a shot
- 32:46Speaker 4: at free tuition just one semester, about $ 6, 000 in-state. Wait, wait, wait.
- 32:52Speaker 4: Why people say it like that? Just one semester about.
- 32:58Speaker 2: Like, that ain't good. No. That's awesome. I said it
- 33:01Speaker 2: that way because people hear... Free tuition. Free tuition. And
- 33:05Speaker 2: then maybe won't... They think the tuition... A whole couple,
- 33:08Speaker 2: four years worth. Right, a full year.
- 33:10Speaker 4: And they also think that when they hear it costs.
- 33:14Speaker 2: $ 40, 000.
- 33:15Speaker 4: To go to an institution, they think the $ 40, 000 is
- 33:17Speaker 4: the tuition. where maybe 17 of that 40 is the
- 33:25Speaker 4: actual tuition. The rest of it is the books, the housing,
- 33:30Speaker 4: and things like that. That's why I was saying it
- 33:33Speaker 4: that way. The juice bars. They're only paying for the
- 33:37Speaker 4: semester of the actual school. Academic part. The academic part.
- 33:43Speaker 4: Which is about six grand. This is all because of
- 33:48Speaker 4: their five-game losing streak. They're trying to keep the fans
- 33:52Speaker 4: in the stands in this game. So this is a
- 33:57Speaker 4: way they've offered it. You have to stick around. Yeah,
- 34:00Speaker 4: you got to. To the fourth before the drawing on
- 34:04Speaker 4: this because I guess they're doing it in a raffle
- 34:07Speaker 4: type way. But you won't know and you have to
- 34:12Speaker 4: be present in the stadium when I click the number
- 34:17Speaker 4: because it's a QR code. So it's a now thing.
- 34:20Speaker 4: This is not a comeback, redeem later.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Thank you. I like that.
- 34:26Speaker 8: So if Maryland's down 45-3 at the half, you got
- 34:32Speaker 8: to stay if you want that.
- 34:34Speaker 2: I like that, though.
- 34:35Speaker 4: You know who know they not going to stay? You
- 34:37Speaker 4: know who know they not staying? Maryland's head coach.
- 34:41Speaker 2: Yeah, Coach Mike. He got to know he going. When
- 34:46Speaker 2: they start giving you money. Lockley. Lockley.
- 34:50Speaker 10: They already fired him. And everybody around there is probably
- 34:54Speaker 10: going to lose a job. I mean, anytime people start
- 34:56Speaker 10: giving away money to make you stay at something that
- 34:59Speaker 10: you already spending money on.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Yeah. Somebody got to pay for this. Somebody's responsible. But
- 35:04Speaker 2: at least the powers that be are thinking. Yeah. They're
- 35:07Speaker 2: trying something, though. They're trying something. I like that.
- 35:10Speaker 9: Because I was just telling somebody this week, we got
- 35:12Speaker 9: a little event, Trunk or Treat, and they're going to
- 35:14Speaker 9: give away some things.
- 35:16Speaker 2: Hey, hold these people here. Tell them we're not. What's
- 35:18Speaker 2: a trunk? Trunk or treat. Trunk or treat. It's like
- 35:22Speaker 2: when you.
- 35:22Speaker 8: Oh, that's where they started during the pandemic. It says
- 35:24Speaker 8: the kids going trick or treating in the neighborhood. You
- 35:27Speaker 8: go to a parking lot or something. And everyone has
- 35:29Speaker 8: their cars. Trunks full of candy and the kids. And
- 35:32Speaker 8: you set up.
- 35:33Speaker 2: Go trunk to trunk.
- 35:35Speaker 4: Sound like a kidnap scheme to me, Sports Jack. That
- 35:38Speaker 4: sound like a kidnap scheme.
- 35:40Speaker 2: That sound like a kidnap scheme. I'm going to go
- 35:42Speaker 2: and put it out there. I'm not coming to it.
- 35:44Speaker 2: That's too many witnesses. I'm saying now. I'm saying. That
- 35:46Speaker 2: sound like something that. All the church folks are doing
- 35:49Speaker 2: it on it now.
- 35:52Speaker 10: That sounds like something that a cabal of kidnappers would
- 35:55Speaker 10: try and make you believe. There's too many witnesses for
- 35:58Speaker 10: something like that. That doesn't sound like something I want
- 36:00Speaker 10: to take my kid to at all. I'm so glad
- 36:02Speaker 10: you said it because everybody would be on some all kidding.
- 36:05Speaker 9: If it's a trunk or treat and it's at the
- 36:06Speaker 9: church that Kenny Johnson, AME Zion Church.
- 36:11Speaker 2: Parking lot. I don't care that it's at the church.
- 36:13Speaker 9: And it's the members and the deacon, they sitting up.
- 36:17Speaker 2: The deacon is the pedophile. Wait, now. Wait, now. Yeah,
- 36:20Speaker 2: I said it. First of all, he throwed me in
- 36:22Speaker 2: it with my whole government name.
- 36:24Speaker 4: Everybody know Deacon Johnson is a pedophile. I don't even
- 36:27Speaker 4: know why they still letting him be a member. Y'all
- 36:30Speaker 4: just want me to play it blind eye. God gives
- 36:33Speaker 4: and all that stuff. He does, but that means that
- 36:35Speaker 4: he's supposed to be on the back row.
- 36:37Speaker 2: He ain't supposed to be no deacon still up in here.
- 36:40Speaker 4: So you finna go to a dark parking lot and
- 36:43Speaker 4: see this man with his trunk open talking about, come here,
- 36:46Speaker 4: let me show you something.
- 36:47Speaker 2: And you finna go over.
- 36:48Speaker 4: I thought the whole purpose of Trick or Treat was
- 36:50Speaker 4: to walk around the community and to create the community
- 36:54Speaker 4: and move the kids, walk with the kids, play with
- 36:56Speaker 4: the kids.
- 36:56Speaker 21: It sounds like a lazy thing. It was done during
- 37:00Speaker 21: the pandemic. It was something that had to come... I
- 37:05Speaker 21: used to wear masks in the pandemic. I don't wear
- 37:08Speaker 21: it now. Hold on, Comanche Greg.
- 37:10Speaker 4: Elder Casey said it's Christians trying to have both sides
- 37:16Speaker 4: in his estimation.
- 37:18Speaker 8: Instead of Halloween, it's All Saints Day or All Saints
- 37:22Speaker 8: Eve or something.
- 37:22Speaker 2: They still wear costumes.
- 37:26Speaker 5: Mm-hmm.
- 37:28Speaker 1: So.
- 37:30Speaker 2: You know.
- 37:31Speaker 4: Do they decorate their cars with stuff?
- 37:33Speaker 2: Yeah, you decorate like what we went out. They decorate cars. Yeah,
- 37:36Speaker 2: you have the cars, you set up something.
- 37:38Speaker 4: Y'all don't see how sad this society is falling?
- 37:42Speaker 2: Man, we have a funnel cake. Why a 15-year-old would
- 37:44Speaker 2: shoot 12 people and everybody looks over there and moves
- 37:49Speaker 2: to the venue?
- 37:51Speaker 4: Do you not see why the venue conversation is bigger
- 37:57Speaker 4: than minor, it's the trunk or treat. It all goes together.
- 38:07Speaker 4: You want to see it as separate. We don't care
- 38:09Speaker 4: about people getting shot, but we care about whether the
- 38:12Speaker 4: dream got a big enough arena.
- 38:15Speaker 10: Curtis Ingram say trunk or treat. We do it all
- 38:18Speaker 10: the time in North Carolina. It's safe in the new way.
- 38:23Speaker 10: That sound like he ain't on the kidnap scheme.
- 38:25Speaker 2: That's all it is. He ain't on the kidnap scheme.
- 38:27Speaker 2: We'll be back. Kurt, we done all it is for
- 38:29Speaker 2: the kid. We'll be back. Motorsports Talk Show.
- 38:32Speaker 14: Panel Vans.
- 38:32Speaker 2: Watch out for the Panel Vans. Don't go away. More
- 38:50Speaker 2: of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gamby is coming
- 38:52Speaker 2: up next.
- 38:55Speaker 11: Real talent is defined by what people can do, not
- 38:58Speaker 11: where they learn to do it. So by stopping at
- 39:00Speaker 11: the education section of a resume, you might throw away

- 41:18Speaker 2: Wayne Gandy.
- 41:26Speaker 23: Welcome back to the Sports Talk Show.
- 41:37Speaker 4: I'm the Sports Talk Wayne Candy. I almost forgot where
- 41:41Speaker 4: I was thinking about that trunk or treat. That sounds
- 41:44Speaker 4: like an ocean candidate for me all out here. At first,
- 41:48Speaker 4: I already had an issue with you driving door to door.
- 41:53Speaker 4: People that pull up in cars in front of my house,
- 41:58Speaker 4: I mean, it takes all the Christian in me.
- 42:01Speaker 2: Wait, for trick-or-treating? Yeah. You drove up. No, you better
- 42:05Speaker 2: park down there. You drove from another area. Yeah, they
- 42:07Speaker 2: drive up and let the kids out. I'm all ready.
- 42:10Speaker 2: It takes everything, Big Kenny. No, you drove from the
- 42:13Speaker 2: other side of town. I'm going to go over here
- 42:15Speaker 2: in Buckhead and trick-or-treat. I'm going to tell you something
- 42:18Speaker 2: about Big Kenny and trick-or-treat. I understand.
- 42:22Speaker 10: That you can be who you are, but that don't
- 42:24Speaker 10: stop me from being who I am. So you're welcome
- 42:26Speaker 10: to drive up with your kids, but I visibly let
- 42:30Speaker 10: them know that they getting miniature candy bars.
- 42:34Speaker 2: Everybody else get a full-size Snickers.
- 42:36Speaker 4: I'm talking about the full size, the kind you get
- 42:39Speaker 4: at the county, at the gas station. But you getting
- 42:41Speaker 4: out the car, you get the little bitty one, and
- 42:43Speaker 4: I'll smack your child's hand.
- 42:45Speaker 2: Uh-uh, little boy. Them full size for walking children. You
- 42:48Speaker 2: ain't using no energy.
- 42:50Speaker 4: No, that's for walking. You can't burn them many calories riding.
- 42:54Speaker 4: You going to need one of these little tiny candy bars.
- 42:56Speaker 4: You get Hershey's Kisses.
- 42:58Speaker 2: Halloween is this Saturday daylight savings time or is in
- 43:03Speaker 2: effect as well. So when you wake up Sunday, we
- 43:06Speaker 2: will fall back.
- 43:08Speaker 4: Speaking of falling back coach Dion Sanders, we call him
- 43:12Speaker 4: prime time, prime time, you know, and people think when
- 43:18Speaker 4: I talk about prime, I don't relish in the salute
- 43:23Speaker 4: that you give prime, uh, Primetime is the first big-time
- 43:28Speaker 4: college player I ever saw in a college game.
- 43:32Speaker 2: Went on a recruiting trip. I went to Florida State.
- 43:36Speaker 2: You know how they bring underclassmen from high school?
- 43:40Speaker 4: Me and my good friend, we drove up. Florida State
- 43:42Speaker 4: was playing Clemson. I had never really heard much about
- 43:47Speaker 4: primetime because at that age, I didn't have a lot
- 43:50Speaker 4: of people around me that watched college sports. But we
- 43:53Speaker 4: got to the game. They're playing Clemson. This is 19,
- 43:58Speaker 4: I want to say 87, 88. This guy is standing
- 44:03Speaker 4: on like the 50-yard line returning a punt. And he
- 44:10Speaker 4: was returning it different than they did in practice. He
- 44:15Speaker 4: was doing it in what I would learn to be
- 44:17Speaker 4: his way. He was standing there kind of arrogant on
- 44:22Speaker 4: the 50, like y'all in trouble. Athletes can see that
- 44:25Speaker 4: in other athletes. Like, you got this kind of like,
- 44:27Speaker 4: these boys in trouble. They kick right his ball. They
- 44:31Speaker 4: kick the ball. Deion catches the ball as the punt returner.
- 44:34Speaker 4: He just stood there like a good second and a half.
- 44:42Speaker 4: And then took off. Fastest man I seen. I'm sitting
- 44:45Speaker 4: there with the big eyes. He stood there a second
- 44:47Speaker 4: and a half like, y'all sure y'all.
- 44:48Speaker 2: Want to do this?
- 44:49Speaker 4: And looked at him and then just took off, went
- 44:51Speaker 4: back 50 yards for a touchdown. So I love me
- 44:55Speaker 4: some prime time. A lot of it is because as
- 44:58Speaker 4: Greg just played, He never let you think anything other
- 45:02Speaker 4: than it must be.
- 45:03Speaker 2: The money. Business decision. The money. We willing and we
- 45:06Speaker 2: dealing out here. We willing and dealing. We willing and dealing.
- 45:08Speaker 4: I don't know what y'all doing it for. But we
- 45:10Speaker 4: willing and dealing out here. But we willing and dealing.
- 45:12Speaker 2: Hey, hey, these deals. Some of these guys like a
- 45:14Speaker 2: Kawhi Leonard. These deals won't sign themselves. Kawhi Leonard play
- 45:17Speaker 2: it like. He a freedom fighter. He a freedom fighter.
- 45:21Speaker 2: He in it to protect the city.
- 45:24Speaker 4: He just said it to make sure that the citizens
- 45:26Speaker 4: sleep soundly.
- 45:27Speaker 2: That's how Kawhi do it. That's how Kawhi. Dion has
- 45:29Speaker 2: always been, and I love that about Prime. Ain't no
- 45:33Speaker 2: kind of trying to apologize. He just want to watch
- 45:35Speaker 2: the world burn.
- 45:36Speaker 4: I have a talent, and you're going to pay me
- 45:39Speaker 4: to see my talent. And you can't hate him for that.
- 45:44Speaker 4: But I do know the bad producer, Big Kenny and
- 45:48Speaker 4: Commander Greg, owe me five push-ups because they have sat
- 45:52Speaker 4: around all season, and when I ask them what they
- 45:55Speaker 4: want to talk about, none of the three have brought
- 46:01Speaker 4: up the Colorado Buffaloes. They're two and five. They're last
- 46:07Speaker 4: in the Big 12. That's 16th place. If you didn't know,
- 46:10Speaker 4: the Big 12 is no longer 12. They're 16. Don't
- 46:13Speaker 4: get into all that with me. about rebranding. They just,
- 46:17Speaker 4: that's girl math. That's math and stuff. That's what they
- 46:22Speaker 4: call it out in Colorado in the big 12 math
- 46:24Speaker 4: and stuff.
- 46:24Speaker 8: The big 10 has 30 teams. That's what I'm saying.
- 46:27Speaker 8: That's what I mean. Nobody wants to rebrand.
- 46:32Speaker 4: We need to go from girl math to sports math.
- 46:36Speaker 4: That's a whole different kind of math. There's no rebranding
- 46:39Speaker 4: in some of these conferences. But it used to be
- 46:42Speaker 4: the Big 12 because it was 12 teams. It's 16.
- 46:45Speaker 4: Colorado is last. They haven't won one conference game. They're 2-5.
- 46:53Speaker 4: And I think, if I remember correctly, those two were
- 46:56Speaker 4: the first two games of the season. They've dropped five
- 47:00Speaker 4: in a row. Guys, they played Kansas State, 4-3. For
- 47:07Speaker 4: as much attention as Prime has brought to the Pantheon
- 47:11Speaker 4: of the sports world why is this kind of going unspoken.
- 47:18Speaker 10: About because of who it's happening to number one we
- 47:25Speaker 10: were part of the problem we proliferated.
- 47:32Speaker 2: But Greg said he want Dabo fired. He was telling
- 47:35Speaker 2: me that before the show.
- 47:35Speaker 10: I know.
- 47:36Speaker 2: That Dabo got to go. I know.
- 47:38Speaker 20: I know.
- 47:38Speaker 2: And Dabo got like four wins. I know. I know.
- 47:41Speaker 2: But Greg one-sided.
- 47:43Speaker 10: Because Greg participated too in the deifying and exaltation of Prime.
- 47:50Speaker 2: Perm went to Mississippi.
- 47:52Speaker 4: And he freed the slaves and he set the union
- 47:55Speaker 4: back right and then he got an equal price of
- 47:59Speaker 4: fuel with reparations and then he stopped the thing with
- 48:03Speaker 4: Russia and the Ukraine and he hooked up everything.
- 48:05Speaker 10: In Iran and then he went to Colorado and they said, now!
- 48:10Speaker 10: You finna see how great he really is. Because what
- 48:13Speaker 10: he did in Mississippi, that's just prime. But in Colorado,
- 48:17Speaker 10: he's going to be prime, prime. And now he's out there.
- 48:21Speaker 10: Double prime.
- 48:22Speaker 2: Double prime. Double prime. Y'all know it's a premium price
- 48:25Speaker 2: on double prime. Yeah, double prime. Double prime. It's an upcharge.
- 48:28Speaker 2: It's an upcharge. And then what'd he do? What'd he do?
- 48:30Speaker 2: He went out there and he gave you a what?
- 48:33Speaker 10: Heisman Trophy winner that he freed from the state of Mississippi.
- 48:39Speaker 10: And then everybody said he going to be double prime
- 48:43Speaker 10: and I'm going to give you something else. I'm going
- 48:44Speaker 10: to give you Affleck and another prime. But you know
- 48:47Speaker 10: you can't have triple prime. So we just waited. And
- 48:51Speaker 10: then this started happening, which a lot of us.
- 48:53Speaker 2: Said it would. A lot of us said this would happen.
- 48:56Speaker 4: Well, we're going to go to break and we'll come back.
- 48:58Speaker 4: I'm going to let especially the bad producer weigh in.
- 49:01Speaker 2: Who was in love.
- 49:02Speaker 10: He said that by this time prime would be running
- 49:05Speaker 10: for president. It's his third romance. His first was with
- 49:08Speaker 10: Michael Jordan. And you know he said he'd be president
- 49:11Speaker 10: by now. Man, he could go and run for at
- 49:13Speaker 10: least governor.
- 49:14Speaker 20: He can.
- 49:15Speaker 2: We will see. We'll talk about it on the other
- 49:17Speaker 2: side of the break. More of the Sports Jock Show
- 49:18Speaker 2: right after this. Don't go away.
- 49:21Speaker 4: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gamby is

- 49:48Speaker 2: Man, that's love.

- 51:28Speaker 2: Lean with it. Welcome back to the Sports Talk Show.
- 51:30Speaker 2: I'm the Sports Talk, Wayne Candy.
- 51:33Speaker 4: The music of the day, if you didn't know, we're
- 51:34Speaker 4: going with what they're going to be playing at the
- 51:36Speaker 4: Dream game today.
- 51:38Speaker 2: This is what it sounds like. Ain't going to be
- 51:40Speaker 2: no Zach Brown, baby.
- 51:41Speaker 4: All day long down there at State Farm, 1230, the
- 51:45Speaker 4: Dream hosting for a stay alive game. Let's just kind
- 51:50Speaker 4: of throw that other stuff out. right now and go into,
- 51:53Speaker 4: and Angel, we stopped complaining to the referee about getting
- 51:57Speaker 4: no fouls. You shot more free throws than the other team.
- 52:01Speaker 4: I don't know how you, I don't know if that
- 52:03Speaker 4: go in the court. Your Honor, they're not calling a
- 52:07Speaker 4: foul and you.
- 52:08Speaker 2: Actually shot more free throws than me. So I don't
- 52:12Speaker 2: know if they're not calling the game, but we're going
- 52:15Speaker 2: to need her to get back to game one and two.
- 52:19Speaker 4: And the way she looked to keep and stay alive.
- 52:22Speaker 4: This is not for the championship for the dream. This
- 52:25Speaker 4: is a stay alive to get the game seven. That's
- 52:28Speaker 4: at 1230.
- 52:28Speaker 2: So it has something to go along with your foot
- 52:32Speaker 2: long veggie bikini. At lunchtime, you get your footlong veggie.
- 52:38Speaker 2: That's bullying. You know what I'm saying?
- 52:40Speaker 4: In the times that we live in, for you to
- 52:41Speaker 4: just mention footlong veggie and then me at the same time.
- 52:45Speaker 2: That's bullying. People, you already called me a communist.
- 52:49Speaker 4: That's targeting me for retribution for meat eaters. That's what
- 52:53Speaker 4: it is. A bad producer. Two and five. Coach Deion Sanders,
- 52:56Speaker 4: primetime out at Colorado. Oh, and four in the conference.
- 53:01Speaker 2: Their last.
- 53:02Speaker 4: in the Big 12, why haven't you been giving me
- 53:08Speaker 4: or sending me any stories about this?
- 53:11Speaker 2: Why? Why?
- 53:12Speaker 25: Why?
- 53:12Speaker 2: Quick, quick, quick, quick, quick, quick, quick. And their two
- 53:14Speaker 2: wins are against Georgia Tech and like Murray State or
- 53:19Speaker 2: something like that. Barry State. State.
- 53:22Speaker 15: Why?
- 53:23Speaker 11: Why?
- 53:24Speaker 18: Why?
- 53:25Speaker 2: Weaver. Quick.
- 53:26Speaker 4: I'm all over the place.
- 53:28Speaker 2: Excuse me, Vic. Weaver State. Weaver. Quick, quick. I mean,
- 53:34Speaker 2: Prime is... Quick, quick, quick, quick. He's in danger. You
- 53:36Speaker 2: can't talk about Prime. Why?
- 53:38Speaker 11: Why? Why?
- 53:39Speaker 2: Because he black. You can't criticize him. Quick, quick, quick, quick.
- 53:41Speaker 2: Because he black. I mean, he's done a great job.
- 53:43Speaker 6: When?
- 53:44Speaker 2: Just hadn't won. Stop, stop. Okay, stop, stop, stop, stop.
- 53:47Speaker 2: He's in the green.
- 53:48Speaker 4: He's a green blue. Stop, stop, stop, stop, stop. Can
- 53:51Speaker 4: we reverse? We're talking about Coach Prime, right? Coach Prime.
- 53:56Speaker 2: Coach Prime. Okay. And he's done a great job. He's
- 53:59Speaker 2: done everything but... Win.
- 54:03Speaker 4: Now.
- 54:04Speaker 11: Now.
- 54:04Speaker 2: This year.
- 54:06Speaker 12: Now.
- 54:06Speaker 2: If he were. Hold on. That's not. Hold on. Make sure.
- 54:10Speaker 2: This is his fourth year there. Yes. And he's only
- 54:14Speaker 2: made bowl once. Yes. So now go.
- 54:22Speaker 20: Now.
- 54:22Speaker 11: Now.
- 54:23Speaker 2: All I'm saying is this. If I'm a lifeguard.
- 54:26Speaker 1: And.
- 54:26Speaker 10: 12 people drown on my beach. And everybody goes, he's
- 54:30Speaker 10: a great lifeguard, except he doesn't rescue anybody. I'm saying
- 54:37Speaker 10: it doesn't sound significant until you're the one who's losing.
- 54:42Speaker 10: You said he's a great coach, except he doesn't win.
- 54:46Speaker 10: That's why he is a coach, to inspire winning. And
- 54:51Speaker 10: all I'm saying is the reason nobody is bringing it
- 54:55Speaker 10: up is because first and foremost, we promised you that
- 54:58Speaker 10: he was going to be the second coming of Jesus
- 55:00Speaker 10: de Cristo.
- 55:02Speaker 2: And then.
- 55:04Speaker 10: He got ill and he's fought through all of that.
- 55:08Speaker 10: And we love him so much. We don't want to
- 55:10Speaker 10: criticize him. He's a beloved guy. Bless his heart. We
- 55:15Speaker 10: don't want to. He's Evander Holyfield. He's gotten to a
- 55:19Speaker 10: place where maybe he ought to.
- 55:21Speaker 4: Sit down, but we love him too much to tell him.
- 55:23Speaker 4: What in his tenure at Colorado would let you say
- 55:28Speaker 4: that he's a great coach?
- 55:34Speaker 9: I mean, we're not just looking at Colorado long. I mean,
- 55:37Speaker 9: he hasn't had the outstanding.
- 55:41Speaker 4: Don't say that. Please don't. That's girl math.
- 55:45Speaker 9: He hasn't won the first, came in first place or
- 55:49Speaker 9: anything in the division.
- 55:51Speaker 4: He said at Colorado. You said outside of here. He
- 55:55Speaker 4: specifically asked you about Colorado.
- 55:57Speaker 9: Well, I'm saying at Colorado. He hasn't won in that division.
- 56:00Speaker 2: He hasn't.
- 56:02Speaker 9: Challenge for the division except that one year when he
- 56:04Speaker 9: had Shador and Travis still there. But other than that,
- 56:08Speaker 9: I mean, he hasn't won, but he's done a great
- 56:12Speaker 9: job as far as recruiting, bringing in players. Everything just
- 56:16Speaker 9: hadn't came together for him.
- 56:18Speaker 10: And you know when that would have mattered? Back when
- 56:21Speaker 10: they didn't play.
- 56:22Speaker 2: If a coach had been doing the same thing Deion
- 56:25Speaker 2: had done and his name wasn't Deion Sanders. Where would
- 56:29Speaker 2: he be? Where would he be? There's a lot of them.
- 56:32Speaker 2: At any level. He would have been fired at the
- 56:34Speaker 2: end of last season. At any level. At any level. College,
- 56:37Speaker 2: any level.
- 56:38Speaker 9: Hey, what was the guy that just left LSU? He
- 56:40Speaker 9: was down there for a while.
- 56:41Speaker 2: We're not talking about LSU.
- 56:44Speaker 4: I'm just saying. Let's not do the checkers on the
- 56:46Speaker 4: tree conversation. Deion Sanders, body of work, not named Deion Sanders.
- 56:56Speaker 4: at Colorado, would that coach at least be on the
- 56:59Speaker 4: radar of where we're looking? He's on a hot seat.
- 57:06Speaker 4: You are so disingenuous.
- 57:08Speaker 2: You want to say no, but you don't want to.
- 57:10Speaker 2: You are so disingenuous. You want to say no, but
- 57:14Speaker 2: you don't want to. You are so disingenuous. I can't
- 57:16Speaker 2: take you anywhere with me. I can't. I can't. I
- 57:21Speaker 2: can only be around you here. Well, that's fine.
- 57:23Speaker 4: Because I can trust what's going to happen here and
- 57:27Speaker 4: predict that it's always going to be the same.
- 57:30Speaker 2: In a real life situation, I don't know what you're.
- 57:32Speaker 4: Going to do because you don't have a compass that
- 57:36Speaker 4: allows you to be honest when someone asks you to
- 57:39Speaker 4: be honest.
- 57:40Speaker 9: I'm being honest, Dion. It's just one of them situations.
- 57:43Speaker 9: He's in a bad situation right now. His health, I mean,
- 57:47Speaker 9: a lot of other things has went along the way.
- 57:49Speaker 2: Let me ask you this.
- 57:50Speaker 9: I mean, he's doing the best. Let me ask you this.
- 57:52Speaker 9: He's done a great job as far as. If you
- 57:54Speaker 9: were the athletic director at Colorado. You're confusing him right
- 57:57Speaker 9: now because he keeps skipping. And this is why sometimes
- 58:00Speaker 9: when me and you have friction and I want to
- 58:02Speaker 9: turn off your mic, I ask questions. And that's part
- 58:06Speaker 9: of directing the show, right?
- 58:08Speaker 2: Asking questions, yeah. Asking questions. Yeah, yeah. And you don't answer.
- 58:13Speaker 4: And then you move on to down the road as
- 58:16Speaker 4: though I didn't ask you a question.
- 58:18Speaker 2: And then I try and.
- 58:19Speaker 10: Redirect you back to answer the question he asked you.
- 58:22Speaker 10: And then you again move right on down the road
- 58:27Speaker 10: like you hadn't heard the question two times.
- 58:30Speaker 8: Like one of our listeners, Jared, has said, you keep
- 58:33Speaker 8: expecting him to change.
- 58:35Speaker 2: This y'all fault. definition of insanity so are we.
- 58:39Speaker 4: We crazy are we we crazy yeah we are we
- 58:42Speaker 4: keep doing the same thing expecting a different.
- 58:44Speaker 2: Outcome and it's not gonna happen i keep eating ice
- 58:47Speaker 2: cream thinking i'm gonna lose weight you can't that's.
- 58:51Speaker 4: Like and i keep trying to tell them folks i
- 58:53Speaker 4: don't know where them drugs came from i don't know
- 58:56Speaker 4: where them drug came from we'll be back more of
- 58:58Speaker 4: the sports talk show it's not actually funny bad for
- 59:01Speaker 4: this we just laughing to break because it's good to
- 59:04Speaker 4: leave on a positive note We'll be right back with
- 59:07Speaker 4: more of the Sports Jock Show.
- 59:08Speaker 2: There's no crying in radio.
- 59:10Speaker 9: Don't go away more of the sports jock show with
- 59:13Speaker 9: wayne gamby is coming up next i actually drop better when.
- 59:16Speaker 16: I'm high.
- 59:30Speaker 2: If anything, I'm more careful.
- 59:32Speaker 17: That's probably what the driver who killed a four-year-old told himself.
- 59:35Speaker 17: And now he's in prison. If you feel different, you
- 59:38Speaker 17: drive different. Don't drive high. Brought to you by NHTSA
- 59:41Speaker 17: and the Ad Council.
- 59:43Speaker 16: Ever tried balancing a dozen eggs in one hand while
- 59:45Speaker 16: hopping on one foot? Or maybe juggling cats while riding
- 59:48Speaker 16: the unicycle? Sounds ridiculous, right? But guess what? That's exactly
- 59:53Speaker 16: what texting while driving is like. Your human brain only
- 59:56Speaker 16: has the capacity to focus on one thing at a time.
- 59:59Speaker 16: So when you're behind the wheel, give driving your undivided attention.
- 1:00:03Speaker 19: Don't drive distracted. A message brought to you by the
- 1:00:06Speaker 19: National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Project Yellow Light, and the
- 1:00:10Speaker 19: Ad Council.
- 1:00:14Speaker 6: Choosing to buy a gun was not a decision I
- 1:00:16Speaker 6: took lightly. But with everything going on, I really wanted
- 1:00:19Speaker 6: to feel like I could protect myself. I hadn't thought
- 1:00:22Speaker 6: about the danger of an unlocked gun in my own
- 1:00:24Speaker 6: home until.
- 1:00:26Speaker 22: Mia, where are your napkins?
- 1:00:29Speaker 2: Not that drawer. Unless anyone needs a gun.
- 1:00:31Speaker 6: Now, I always lock my gun to keep everyone safe.
- 1:00:37Speaker 6: Visit nfamilyfire.org to learn how to store your guns more securely.
- 1:00:41Speaker 6: Brought to you by Brady and the Ad Council.
- 1:00:45Speaker 2: Enough is enough! I have had it!
- 1:00:50Speaker 4: Why so?
- 1:00:51Speaker 2: Serious.
- 1:00:52Speaker 23: And we hold the world ransom for Wayne Gandy.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: Excuse me while I whip this out. Broadcasting live in Atlanta, Georgia.
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: This, this is the Sports Chalk Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:01:07Speaker 2: You may build me up. Build me up, yeah. Can
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: you build me up, yeah? But you won't break me down.
- 1:01:13Speaker 2: I've come too far. I've come too far, yeah. Yeah,
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: I've come too far, yeah. So just throw in the towel. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: It's a new day. I'm a, I'm a doobie. Yeah,
- 1:01:23Speaker 2: I'm gonna go all the way. You may build me up.
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show.
- 1:01:29Speaker 2: I'm the Sports Shock, Wayne Gandy, Big Kenny, Comanche Gregg.
- 1:01:35Speaker 4: Online do you see the bad producer responding to people
- 1:01:41Speaker 4: uh no i see people responding about him oh elder
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: casey says a double-minded man is unstable in capital letters
- 1:01:52Speaker 4: all his.
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: Way gotcha gotcha the bad producer in prime form today oh.
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: And they also said recruiting isn't coaching Oh, shots fired.
- 1:02:04Speaker 2: Shots! As my friend Raul would say, shots fired. Thursday
- 1:02:09Speaker 2: night football, Carolina at Green Bay in that game where
- 1:02:16Speaker 2: both of those teams, as I said, coming off losses.
- 1:02:19Speaker 2: Carolina at 3-3. Green Bay 4-3. A lot on the
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: game for those fan bases. Didn't Green Bay just play?
- 1:02:29Speaker 2: Both played Sunday night. Both played Sunday night. Them short
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: weeks got to be hard. Oh, tremendously.
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: Because even I feel, I feel pressure to watch them.
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: You ain't ready for another game. I feel pressure to
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: watch them on a Thursday night. Like, hey, why are
- 1:02:42Speaker 4: you out here?
- 1:02:43Speaker 8: Like, it's Thursday or Friday that you even feel that, okay,
- 1:02:48Speaker 8: I might be ready to, well, I don't feel the
- 1:02:52Speaker 8: pain from the last game. I feel okay today. I
- 1:02:58Speaker 8: should be ready to play Sunday, but I'm not ready
- 1:03:00Speaker 8: to play tonight.
- 1:03:01Speaker 4: Correct thursday is is typically the first day that you
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: practice practice for preparation wednesday practice you do have it
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: but it's more at a walk um walk walk and
- 1:03:15Speaker 4: install pace uh thursday you get just a little contact
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: you're just feeling like okay there's another game so it's
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: hard on the players we'll talk about the NFL and
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: the injuries going into this weekend as well. Valkyries dream
- 1:03:31Speaker 4: 1230 today. So we were about three and a half
- 1:03:36Speaker 4: hours out dream needing to win this game six to
- 1:03:39Speaker 4: stay alive here in Atlanta. We talked about prime time
- 1:03:44Speaker 4: in that first hour. Couldn't get any truth out of
- 1:03:47Speaker 4: the bad producer, which I understand what you're saying. The
- 1:03:52Speaker 4: double mindedness, elder Casey and, As Big Kenny's saying, someone
- 1:03:56Speaker 4: who you can't actually, as a reporter, ever really stick
- 1:04:01Speaker 4: with because they have their biases installed that you don't know.
- 1:04:11Speaker 4: If you're getting the truth about somebody or you're ducking
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: as the bad producer, but Coach Prime 2N, Five on
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: the season, Kansas State at 4-3. So you start thinking
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: as much as he could be 3-5 Saturday night, he
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: could be 2-6, which starts putting him in that situation
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: where he will miss a bowl game. And he's already
- 1:04:36Speaker 4: there because if he loses two more games, he's 5-7,
- 1:04:40Speaker 4: so he won't even be able to make a bowl game.
- 1:04:42Speaker 2: Go ahead, Bickin.
- 1:04:44Speaker 10: We've seen cases like Coach Prime before. a beloved figure
- 1:04:49Speaker 10: that isn't producing and people have reluctance to do something different.
- 1:04:55Speaker 10: But we've also seen through lived experience that sentiment has
- 1:04:59Speaker 10: a time stamp on it. How much longer do you
- 1:05:02Speaker 10: think Prime got for people to love him and not
- 1:05:04Speaker 10: expect him to bring home some sort of results?
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: I don't think that the bad producer type people will
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: ever call for him to be dismissed, which should give
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: them a light on why when they criticize other coaches
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: and why they get to keep their job, that on
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: the flip side, those coaches have their bad producers that
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: keep them in a job. Uncle Charlie says Steel is
- 1:05:34Speaker 4: having sold out losing games. When that stopped happening, his
- 1:05:38Speaker 4: ass is gone. Well, if you look at the crowd,
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: they're not packing it in anymore either. out there i
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: tune in just so you know especially when they had
- 1:05:48Speaker 4: juju uh a young man who i called juju lewis
- 1:05:52Speaker 4: out there he was starting like the first four games
- 1:05:55Speaker 4: uh he's been replaced by actually zach wilson's uh zach
- 1:05:59Speaker 4: wilson used to play for the jets his brother is
- 1:06:01Speaker 4: the quarterback i think it's maybe isaiah something like that
- 1:06:05Speaker 4: um as the starting quarterback but uh the fans are
- 1:06:11Speaker 4: not coming out Like they were in those first two years.
- 1:06:15Speaker 2: Isaac Wilson.
- 1:06:17Speaker 4: Isaac Wilson is his name. He's Zach Wilson, who was, what,
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: first-round pick for the Jets? Maybe about eight years ago,
- 1:06:25Speaker 4: something like that. Was it that long ago?
- 1:06:27Speaker 2: Five.
- 1:06:28Speaker 4: Five years ago. But his brother is the quarterback out there.
- 1:06:32Speaker 4: But they're laughing in the conference. We will see what
- 1:06:34Speaker 4: goes on with Coach Prime, especially if he misses. I
- 1:06:37Speaker 4: don't know that they would get rid of him this year.
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: But the fever, the pandemonium of it definitely has faded
- 1:06:45Speaker 4: and they have gone back to. And you can't say
- 1:06:50Speaker 4: he's not getting the recruits. He's one of the number
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: one poachers in college sport. To me, he's in the
- 1:07:01Speaker 4: driver's seat of that. Other coaches have followed behind how
- 1:07:06Speaker 4: he's going to do it. He's really started something where
- 1:07:10Speaker 4: especially on the high school level. They just are not,
- 1:07:15Speaker 4: you train them, I'll come get them. And Deion has
- 1:07:19Speaker 4: been that way all the way back to when he
- 1:07:20Speaker 4: did bring Travis and his own two sons, who I
- 1:07:25Speaker 4: always got people to understand when they was at Jackson State.
- 1:07:28Speaker 4: Deion took top power four, power five talent to a HBCU.
- 1:07:37Speaker 4: and beat up on the HBCU. Dude who actually got
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: recruited to the HBCU. Basically, that's all he did. Especially
- 1:07:49Speaker 4: at the important positions, like quarterback. He took the top guys.
- 1:07:55Speaker 4: Everybody laughed me off. I'm like, yeah, but you do
- 1:07:58Speaker 4: see that out of them 22 starters, everybody else, there's
- 1:08:04Speaker 4: 17 of those guys that's supposed to be at South Carolina.
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: In Texas, Travis Hunter was the number one recruit. And
- 1:08:12Speaker 4: he went down there.
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: He was going to Florida State. And then he took
- 1:08:14Speaker 2: those guys. He went to Colorado.
- 1:08:17Speaker 4: And they have been gone these last two seasons. And
- 1:08:20Speaker 4: we've seen what has happened without the Heisman Trophy winner
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: by his side. Receptive of Jay-Z or not, guys? Have
- 1:08:29Speaker 4: you been talking to people? And I thought of this
- 1:08:33Speaker 4: about two days ago because last year this time, the
- 1:08:37Speaker 4: bad bunny Bad Bunny fever. Bad Bunny fever. Seem to
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: be simmering higher.
- 1:08:46Speaker 2: This is kind of just Jay-Z doing halftime. Yeah, Jay-Z.
- 1:08:49Speaker 2: Isn't that kind of feel? With the.
- 1:09:00Speaker 8: Know, talking to some people, a lot of people have
- 1:09:04Speaker 8: been like, well, like some have been like, eventually he
- 1:09:08Speaker 8: was going to do it. They felt like he was
- 1:09:10Speaker 8: going to do it eventually. And then some didn't like
- 1:09:14Speaker 8: that he basically chose himself.
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: I'm like, well, what are the....
- 1:09:19Speaker 8: But no other options were like, okay, he chose himself
- 1:09:24Speaker 8: over who?
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: Who was snubbed? Over the rest of every performer in
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: the world.
- 1:09:29Speaker 4: Well, there had been mention of a Justin Bieber. There
- 1:09:32Speaker 4: had been mentioned of a Miley Cyrus. I know I
- 1:09:36Speaker 4: saw both of those names about a month ago as
- 1:09:40Speaker 4: possible L.A.
- 1:09:42Speaker 2: Performers. Who wouldn't? Who wouldn't do it? Who wouldn't do it?
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: Who couldn't you ask?
- 1:09:49Speaker 8: The only artist I know of who wouldn't do it
- 1:09:52Speaker 8: is Taylor Swift just because all the other stuff that
- 1:09:54Speaker 8: goes into it.
- 1:09:55Speaker 2: Okay.
- 1:09:56Speaker 10: So we're going to put all the artists in one
- 1:09:59Speaker 10: room and Taylor, you can come out. And now the
- 1:10:02Speaker 10: rest of you, are you still willing to do it
- 1:10:04Speaker 10: by show of hands?
- 1:10:05Speaker 2: Yeah. And Jay-Z, the guy who picks people goes, I
- 1:10:09Speaker 2: don't see anybody I like. I'll do it.
- 1:10:11Speaker 10: And the excitement that I've seen is equivalent to seeing
- 1:10:14Speaker 10: somebody across the street that you know and you mess
- 1:10:17Speaker 10: with and seeing somebody across the street that you recognize.
- 1:10:20Speaker 10: You see somebody you mess with is, ah, what's up, boy?
- 1:10:23Speaker 10: You see somebody you recognize, you give them the head
- 1:10:25Speaker 10: nod up. Jay-Z getting the head nod up from everybody.
- 1:10:29Speaker 10: You respectable.
- 1:10:30Speaker 4: I don't hate you or nothing, but as a halftime show,
- 1:10:35Speaker 4: I feel like you kind of already had your selection
- 1:10:40Speaker 4: in your hand when you reached into the bag.
- 1:10:42Speaker 8: Well, the rollout, we talked about his performances over the summer.
- 1:10:47Speaker 8: This was a ramp up to, yeah, everyone do the
- 1:10:50Speaker 8: Super Bowl, and then everyone's expecting a new album at
- 1:10:53Speaker 8: some point.
- 1:10:54Speaker 10: And then this actually may be what we see a
- 1:10:56Speaker 10: lot of times in entertainment. Because I have a name,
- 1:10:59Speaker 10: I'm going to bring you. future up and coming Grammy
- 1:11:03Speaker 10: winning stars with a few Grammy winners sprinkled in just
- 1:11:07Speaker 10: because that's my body of work. But I'm really not
- 1:11:09Speaker 10: going to be headlining the show. My name is I'm
- 1:11:12Speaker 10: going to open it up with one of my favorites.
- 1:11:15Speaker 10: Then I'm going to bring out a list of hits
- 1:11:17Speaker 10: that I've collaborated on. And then I may close with
- 1:11:19Speaker 10: one of my big hits. But I don't think Jay-Z
- 1:11:22Speaker 10: as a standalone act is exciting enough to carry forward.
- 1:11:26Speaker 10: 15 minutes in front of the world.
- 1:11:29Speaker 4: We're not talking about New York. We're not talking about
- 1:11:32Speaker 4: Philly and the East Coast. We're talking about the same
- 1:11:35Speaker 4: people who low bad ball me. Them people wanted that.
- 1:11:38Speaker 4: We had no idea what was going on, but the
- 1:11:41Speaker 4: rest of the world was thrilled with that.
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: Jay-Z got to get to them.
- 1:11:44Speaker 8: There's the potential of the guests and everything, but as
- 1:11:49Speaker 8: far as how things have played out, We may not
- 1:11:53Speaker 8: see that. So it could go either way as far
- 1:11:56Speaker 8: as it could be a very disappointing halftime show.
- 1:11:59Speaker 4: They're definitely, because we have recent artists of Dr. Dre
- 1:12:03Speaker 4: and we do have a Kendrick Lamar of where you
- 1:12:07Speaker 4: can't say the buzz is fading because it's a hip
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: hop artist, because we've just.
- 1:12:12Speaker 9: Seen people have a lot of people. And Jay, he
- 1:12:15Speaker 9: was asked, uh, a while back, back in the early, what, mid-2000s?
- 1:12:21Speaker 9: And he even put a verse in the song. They
- 1:12:23Speaker 9: asked him what. He told the NFL no because he
- 1:12:26Speaker 9: already doing stadiums. So it's like this is not– he
- 1:12:29Speaker 9: wasn't on their radar before, even when they approached him
- 1:12:33Speaker 9: to be the person to do this.
- 1:12:34Speaker 2: He's always been on the NFL's radar.
- 1:12:36Speaker 4: And it could just be that it was so obvious
- 1:12:38Speaker 4: that it's something that people just– are not in an.
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: Uproar over it.
- 1:12:43Speaker 4: Yeah, like I said, you already had your number in
- 1:12:46Speaker 4: your hand when you reached in there to pick out
- 1:12:48Speaker 4: the winning raffle ticket.
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: You was holding your hand. Yeah, you holding your number.
- 1:12:52Speaker 2: You already holding your number.
- 1:12:53Speaker 4: Yeah, it's like when I show up to Halloween, I'm like,
- 1:12:56Speaker 4: I'm a retired football player.
- 1:12:58Speaker 19: Right.
- 1:13:00Speaker 2: And people be like, hold on. Oh, we see it. Oh, yeah.
- 1:13:03Speaker 2: Hold on. You even got your name put on your jersey.
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: I'm like, hold on. Wait a minute. We'll be back.
- 1:13:10Speaker 2: More of the Sports Jock Show right after this. Don't
- 1:13:23Speaker 2: go away.
- 1:13:24Speaker 5: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gamby is
- 1:13:27Speaker 5: coming up next.
- 1:13:29Speaker 18: Let's take a moment to breathe. Deep inhale. Extend your spine.
- 1:13:36Speaker 18: Remain focused on what you're doing. If safe to do so,
- 1:13:41Speaker 18: exhale slowly, leaning to one side. Inhale back to center.
- 1:13:47Speaker 18: If safe to do so, exhale slowly to the opposite side.

- 1:15:58Speaker 7: I am not with that plan. We blowing cake every
- 1:16:02Speaker 7: day like it's a birthday.
- 1:16:06Speaker 2: Welcome back to the Sports Talk Show. I'm the Sports
- 1:16:08Speaker 2: Talk Wayne Gandy.
- 1:16:09Speaker 4: A couple of birthdays here going into Halloween weekend on Saturday.
- 1:16:15Speaker 4: Wianna Ryder is 55 years of age. Gabrielle Union, 54.
- 1:16:22Speaker 4: Richard Dreyfuss is 79. Andy Big Red Dalton is 39.
- 1:16:27Speaker 4: Maurice Claret, 43. Ava Marcille?
- 1:16:34Speaker 2: Is that how you say her name? Marcelle. Marcelle. She's 42.
- 1:16:38Speaker 4: She dropped her third name because she was Eva Marcelle
- 1:16:42Speaker 4: something or another.
- 1:16:44Speaker 2: I remember it was Eva. Eva Marcelle. Okay, 42. Willow Smith.
- 1:16:50Speaker 2: Top model. Willow Smith is 26. Fred the Crime Dog McGriff, 63.
- 1:16:57Speaker 2: Tracy Ellis Ross, 54. How do you say, is it
- 1:17:03Speaker 2: Letitia Wright? The Black Panther's sister. Leticia.
- 1:17:06Speaker 4: Leticia, right. 33 years of age. Dan Rather, still around
- 1:17:11Speaker 4: with us. 95 is Dan Rather. Nick Saban, 75. Dick
- 1:17:18Speaker 4: Vermeule is 90. My old head coach is 90 years
- 1:17:22Speaker 4: old with the Rams. Won the championship with the greatest
- 1:17:26Speaker 4: show on earth, Dick Vermeule. Vanilla Ice, 59. Marcus Mariota, 33.
- 1:17:35Speaker 4: Quinn Snyder, head coach of the Hawks, is 60. The Fonz,
- 1:17:39Speaker 4: Henry Winkler, is 81. Ashley Graham is 39. Devin Booker
- 1:17:48Speaker 4: is 30. Ivanka Trump is 45. And Miss Nia Long
- 1:17:56Speaker 4: is 56 years old.
- 1:17:59Speaker 2: Big Kenny? Mm-hmm. A little work here moving into the weekend?
- 1:18:03Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm going to have the daughter of the boss,
- 1:18:08Speaker 4: the co-CEO, Tracy Ellis Ross.
- 1:18:10Speaker 2: Okay, okay.
- 1:18:12Speaker 4: She attached the royalty plus that thing be thangin'. You
- 1:18:15Speaker 4: know what I'm saying? That thing be thangin', bro. So,
- 1:18:19Speaker 4: you know, yeah, Tracy Ellis Ross, 54 years old.
- 1:18:21Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:18:23Speaker 4: Ernie Johnson of the Inside the NBA, longtime broadcaster. So
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: he's stepping down from that job after the season is over,
- 1:18:32Speaker 4: you know, to deal with his health. He's 70 years
- 1:18:35Speaker 4: of age. So even with all that, Ernie, I don't
- 1:18:38Speaker 4: know why you have to explain it. You're 70. And
- 1:18:41Speaker 4: all those millions, it's going to take you at least
- 1:18:45Speaker 4: to the grave to probably spend them. When are you
- 1:18:49Speaker 4: going to take some life back for yourself? A lot
- 1:18:52Speaker 4: of times, to me, is the decision. Probably we're along
- 1:18:55Speaker 4: with a guy like Nick Saban or those guys, Mike Krzyzewski. Yeah,
- 1:19:02Speaker 4: it's some about the health. It's some about maybe how
- 1:19:05Speaker 4: college has changed, but it also has to be where
- 1:19:10Speaker 4: freedom of schedule. Ernie's not going to stop working. He
- 1:19:13Speaker 4: says he'll still be around for college back, but he
- 1:19:15Speaker 4: didn't want to cut back. I'm imagining just always on
- 1:19:20Speaker 4: a schedule. Once you get that age, you're looking forward
- 1:19:24Speaker 4: to not being on it. The interesting part with that
- 1:19:27Speaker 4: is I watched ESPN when they broke this. They showed
- 1:19:30Speaker 4: a lot of love to Ernie. I was sitting there thinking,
- 1:19:34Speaker 4: Bill Rasmussen, the co-founder, when he passed away a couple
- 1:19:40Speaker 4: of months ago. They barely mentioned him. They hit him
- 1:19:44Speaker 4: with a profile picture. But they gave Ernie a whole speech.
- 1:19:49Speaker 10: Elder Casey asked, y'all thoughts on Charles Barkley's tears? And
- 1:19:52Speaker 10: I'm guessing was that attached to Ernie announcing his retirement?
- 1:19:56Speaker 10: And then he said, it's about the realest and honest
- 1:19:59Speaker 10: expression I've ever seen from Chuck.
- 1:20:02Speaker 2: So Chuck's out here crying for Ernie.
- 1:20:06Speaker 10: But like you said, when they did Bill Rasmussen, they
- 1:20:10Speaker 10: literally hit you with his profile pic and a couple of.
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: Facts from his bio, and that was it.
- 1:20:18Speaker 4: But I guess he was an executive and not really
- 1:20:22Speaker 4: an on-air personality.
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: Is that how we're treating him?
- 1:20:27Speaker 4: Well, I would imagine that the person that co-founded the
- 1:20:30Speaker 4: actual thing that you're hosting... making billions and billions, have
- 1:20:36Speaker 4: taken over.
- 1:20:36Speaker 2: The world of sports. We'll get more than a profile
- 1:20:39Speaker 2: picture and a mention.
- 1:20:41Speaker 8: It seemed like they, from the story I read about him,
- 1:20:45Speaker 8: they fired him a couple times and brought him back.
- 1:20:48Speaker 8: It's probably a more cloudy relationship or complicated feelings about
- 1:21:00Speaker 8: Bill Rasmussen for some reason.
- 1:21:02Speaker 4: Yeah, my thoughts is unless there's an NDA, y'all are
- 1:21:05Speaker 4: just still in your emotions because the co-finder still gets.
- 1:21:11Speaker 4: And then if I live long enough to see another
- 1:21:13Speaker 4: year or two down the road, you come back with
- 1:21:16Speaker 4: a 30 for 30 called Rasmussen. Then you're just being
- 1:21:21Speaker 4: a true capitalist. I just thought the co-founder deserved more
- 1:21:26Speaker 4: than just that little picture they showed real quick. and
- 1:21:31Speaker 4: you know they didn't even show like early clips.
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: Of them in a meeting room.
- 1:21:37Speaker 9: Productions talking they just you know it's like he wasn't.
- 1:21:40Speaker 8: Even in it he didn't even they had a quick
- 1:21:42Speaker 8: one minute video on instagram i think.
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: But like the man didn't exist though i.
- 1:21:48Speaker 4: Mean but ernie johnson at 70 chuck crying uh which
- 1:21:52Speaker 4: that's who he's been riding with uh so change always
- 1:21:55Speaker 4: can bring emotions, he maybe also knew what Ernie was
- 1:22:00Speaker 4: talking about with his health, and maybe it even brought
- 1:22:04Speaker 4: reflections of him understanding he's been talking about as he
- 1:22:08Speaker 4: wants to kind of flow.
- 1:22:10Speaker 2: Step back, yeah. And making him feel more.
- 1:22:14Speaker 4: To where it's not something you want to give up,
- 1:22:17Speaker 4: but it's something, like I'm saying, at some point the
- 1:22:20Speaker 4: hours of that probably is just still kind of like
- 1:22:24Speaker 4: being in sports. For these guys on that level, especially
- 1:22:28Speaker 4: when you're talking about NBA, they're on the NBA schedule then.
- 1:22:32Speaker 4: They're working four days a week, something like that.
- 1:22:37Speaker 10: And we're doing TV production, which means it's an all-day preparation,
- 1:22:42Speaker 10: even for that two or three hours that you see
- 1:22:44Speaker 10: me on air. I'm arriving hours prior to that finally
- 1:22:49Speaker 10: going on.
- 1:22:50Speaker 4: Yeah, I would have put it, you know, if this
- 1:22:52Speaker 4: happened last year and Chuck was crying... I would have
- 1:22:55Speaker 4: put it on that red label or something, 1942. He
- 1:22:58Speaker 4: was just over there drunk. But I ain't judging because
- 1:23:07Speaker 4: we didn't all cry when we got drunk, am I right?
- 1:23:10Speaker 16: Am I right?
- 1:23:11Speaker 2: We all got a little emotional. Just you and the
- 1:23:15Speaker 2: bad producer. Man, I had no business being like that, man.
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: The people, them was good people too, man.
- 1:23:24Speaker 4: We'll be back with some real good people.
- 1:23:27Speaker 2: I was wrong. We were. I was wrong. I was.
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: Don't go away.
- 1:23:34Speaker 16: More of the Sports Jock Show.
- 1:23:36Speaker 1: With Wayne Gamby is coming up next.
- 1:23:50Speaker 20: I'm a pretty great multitasker. I can wash dishes and
- 1:23:53Speaker 20: do laundry. I can roller skate while walking my dog.
- 1:23:57Speaker 20: I can even order lunch while doing my homework. But
- 1:24:00Speaker 20: I can't use my phone while driving. A distracted driver
- 1:24:04Speaker 20: is one of the leading causes of death in the
- 1:24:06Speaker 20: United States. So when it comes to driving, please, don't
- 1:24:09Speaker 20: be a multitasker.
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: Don't drive distracted.
- 1:24:12Speaker 19: A message brought to you by the National Highway Traffic
- 1:24:14Speaker 19: Safety Administration, Project Yellow Light, and the Ad Council.
- 1:24:21Speaker 6: Choosing to buy a gun was not a decision I
- 1:24:23Speaker 6: took lightly. But with everything going on, I really wanted
- 1:24:26Speaker 6: to feel like I could protect myself. I hadn't thought
- 1:24:29Speaker 6: about the danger of an unlocked gun in my own home, too.
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: Mia, where are your napkins? Not that drawer. Unless anyone
- 1:24:37Speaker 2: needs a gun.
- 1:24:41Speaker 6: Now, I always lock my gun to keep everyone safe.
- 1:24:44Speaker 6: Visit nfamilyfire.org to learn how to store your guns more securely.
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: Brought to you by Brady and the Ad Council. All right, son.
- 1:24:51Speaker 2: Time to put out this campfire. Dad, we learned about
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: this in school. Oh, did you now?
- 1:24:55Speaker 15: Okay.
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: What's first?
- 1:24:57Speaker 16: Smokey Bear said to.
- 1:24:58Speaker 15: First, drown it with a bucket of water. Then stir
- 1:25:01Speaker 15: it with a shovel.
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: Wow. You sound just like him. Then he said.
- 1:25:05Speaker 15: If it's still warm, then do it again.
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: Where can I learn all this?
- 1:25:09Speaker 15: It's all on SmokeyBear.com with other wildfire prevention tips. Because
- 1:25:14Speaker 15: only you can prevent wildfires.
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: Brought to you by the USDA Forest Service, your state forester,
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: and the Ad Council.
- 1:25:22Speaker 4: And now, back to the Sports Jock, Wayne Gandy.
- 1:25:27Speaker 15: Players Lounge.
- 1:25:31Speaker 2: You have been given full access to the Players Lounge
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: on the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:25:49Speaker 14: Welcome back to the Sports Talk Show.
- 1:26:04Speaker 4: I'm the Sports Talk Wayne Candy. Good morning to you.
- 1:26:08Speaker 4: Thursday Night Football, as I said, coming to you tonight.
- 1:26:11Speaker 4: Green Bay hosting Carolina. At 1230 today, about three hours away,
- 1:26:16Speaker 4: the Valkyries. Game six versus the Dream as well. A
- 1:26:22Speaker 4: lot of conversation around Saquon Barkley and him having to
- 1:26:29Speaker 4: sell Rick Kinney.
- 1:26:30Speaker 2: Yes, yes, yes.
- 1:26:32Speaker 4: Bad producer having to sell his Polly Market. Stock, is
- 1:26:38Speaker 4: that correct?
- 1:26:38Speaker 2: Yes. Or interest in that.
- 1:26:41Speaker 4: Comanche told me and enlightened me that Polymarket is a
- 1:26:46Speaker 4: betting site. And once he said that, that clarified everything
- 1:26:51Speaker 4: with the NFL probably making sure that they had to
- 1:26:59Speaker 4: put something in about representing a betting site. As for
- 1:27:05Speaker 4: his investment, not as for his endorsement, but investment then
- 1:27:10Speaker 4: puts you.
- 1:27:11Speaker 2: Oh, endorsing too. Oh, he can't endorse either. No, endorsing.
- 1:27:14Speaker 8: It says players are not allowed to be an endorser
- 1:27:18Speaker 8: or brand ambassador for a company like Cal Shee or
- 1:27:21Speaker 8: Poly Market under the gambling policy.
- 1:27:23Speaker 10: Now, the NFL is the only league that specifically have
- 1:27:29Speaker 10: those types of rules governing Cal Shee and Poly Market.
- 1:27:35Speaker 4: Because I believe NBA, Major League Baseball, soccer, everybody else
- 1:27:42Speaker 4: cool with it. Well, until I get a contract with
- 1:27:45Speaker 4: a particular betting house or buy interest in one, and
- 1:27:50Speaker 4: then I can't have someone working similar to years ago
- 1:27:55Speaker 4: when they changed the whole Beats by Drake. They started
- 1:28:00Speaker 4: being under bows. Anybody endorsed or was carrying anything with
- 1:28:09Speaker 4: Beats by Dre had to tape it up.
- 1:28:11Speaker 2: Yeah, they had to cover the logo.
- 1:28:12Speaker 4: Or cover the logo on it because they had made
- 1:28:15Speaker 4: a contract. It's the same when you see certain, even
- 1:28:19Speaker 4: in the NBA, when some guys are freely drinking the brand.
- 1:28:25Speaker 4: and some are drinking something covered. Because if I have
- 1:28:30Speaker 4: a Gatorade contract, but the league is sometimes- Powerade. Powerade,
- 1:28:36Speaker 4: sometimes that conflicts and they don't now. remove the label
- 1:28:41Speaker 4: then they just remove it and you're trying to figure
- 1:28:43Speaker 4: out but the other guy is drinking.
- 1:28:45Speaker 9: No that's what's it open from nike to adidas and
- 1:28:48Speaker 9: all the the shoes like right now nike is the
- 1:28:51Speaker 9: company of choice.
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: For nba So when Greg, because I didn't know what
- 1:28:56Speaker 2: Polymarket was, and when you said it was a betting site,
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, okay, they're not going to. Yeah, it's
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: similar to Kalshi.
- 1:29:03Speaker 10: And see, that's what I'm saying. Kalshi, to my understanding,
- 1:29:08Speaker 10: Kalshi was a predictions market.
- 1:29:12Speaker 2: Yes.
- 1:29:12Speaker 10: You could bet on the percentage of something happening. which
- 1:29:18Speaker 10: to me, really, it's gambling, but it ain't the same.
- 1:29:22Speaker 4: And that's why I think all of that is getting
- 1:29:24Speaker 4: so confusing is they're trying to put in parameters before
- 1:29:27Speaker 4: it gets too far gone to go, hey, hey, what
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: are you doing? Because it sounds like it's not gambling
- 1:29:33Speaker 4: until you realize that he's manipulating the.
- 1:29:35Speaker 10: Numbers to the tune of $ 3 billion. So I get it.
- 1:29:40Speaker 10: My burger don't have seed.
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: Hold on.
- 1:29:43Speaker 10: And somebody bet $ 700 million that the burger wouldn't have seeds.
- 1:29:47Speaker 4: The difference between McDonald's and McDonald's is my burger doesn't have.
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: We got everything else. Special sauce and everything.
- 1:29:54Speaker 4: So when you said that, Greg, it clarified a little more,
- 1:29:58Speaker 4: not about whether it's right or wrong, but as we stated,
- 1:30:01Speaker 4: it's about business. And if we're responsible by one or
- 1:30:05Speaker 4: we are who started a gambling site, I'm not going to.
- 1:30:09Speaker 4: You can't take McDonald's and sit in Wendy's and then
- 1:30:13Speaker 4: get upset if the manager asks you to leave because
- 1:30:18Speaker 4: you're eating your McDonald's in my Wendy's.
- 1:30:21Speaker 9: But my friends wanted to eat McDonald's and we all together.
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: I can't come in.
- 1:30:24Speaker 9: I mean, that's what some people... Not with your Wendy's.
- 1:30:28Speaker 9: That's what some people think, though. They think like because...
- 1:30:30Speaker 9: But hear what I said. You can't be upset if
- 1:30:32Speaker 9: the manager decides... If the manager looks over and doesn't care,
- 1:30:36Speaker 9: that's one thing, but you can't be mad.
- 1:30:38Speaker 10: If the manager comes over and says, I'm sorry, you
- 1:30:40Speaker 10: can't do that. McDonald's having been in the restaurant business.
- 1:30:44Speaker 10: I've seen this scenario play out and the managers negotiated
- 1:30:51Speaker 10: compromise was at least by a soft drink. And so
- 1:30:56Speaker 10: they bought a soft drink. She ate her Wendy's and
- 1:31:01Speaker 10: drank a McDonald's Coke and, They all agreed to disagree.
- 1:31:06Speaker 4: Comanche Greg, you had a question about the offensive lineman.
- 1:31:09Speaker 4: What was his name for Kansas City? Early in the week,
- 1:31:13Speaker 4: you said Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, asked him to leave
- 1:31:16Speaker 4: the meeting room for putting his feet up on the desk.
- 1:31:20Speaker 8: Yeah, I pulled up the guy's name. Khalil Vince?
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: Was it Thompson? Something like that. Like a rookie, right?
- 1:31:37Speaker 2: Thompson Simmons you can't find.
- 1:31:43Speaker 8: The story I got the story trying to find the
- 1:31:52Speaker 8: Josh Simmons Josh Simmons okay but yeah he was kicked
- 1:31:58Speaker 8: out of the team meeting for propping his feet up
- 1:32:02Speaker 8: on the table he was asked to put his feet
- 1:32:05Speaker 8: down he said his hips or knees were aching and
- 1:32:10Speaker 8: it was Patrick Mahomes apparently who told him to leave well.
- 1:32:17Speaker 4: I think Andy Reid first mentioned told him to take
- 1:32:20Speaker 4: his feet down and then he wouldn't take his feet
- 1:32:23Speaker 4: down he went into the explanation and then Patrick Mahomes
- 1:32:26Speaker 4: defending his head coach and the man who's giving him
- 1:32:30Speaker 4: close to half a billion dollars in his career.
- 1:32:34Speaker 2: To leave the room Okay, because I had a question.
- 1:32:37Speaker 10: I remember several weeks ago when Dak Prescott had a
- 1:32:46Speaker 10: loss and was coming through the tunnel and someone said
- 1:32:50Speaker 10: something and he had one of the Cowboys staff members
- 1:32:55Speaker 10: escort or have that person removed from the stadium. I
- 1:32:59Speaker 10: wanted to ask when Comanche Greg mentioned this, how much
- 1:33:03Speaker 10: actual authority does the starting quarterback have over the franchise
- 1:33:09Speaker 10: and its facilities as a whole? Because that sounds like
- 1:33:13Speaker 10: an administrative move. But if I'm the team captain and
- 1:33:17Speaker 10: I say, hey, in the defense of my coach, you
- 1:33:20Speaker 10: got to leave, is it one of those the head
- 1:33:23Speaker 10: office co-signs that or is it you got to leave
- 1:33:28Speaker 10: or what? Can you whoop my ass? You see what
- 1:33:31Speaker 10: I'm saying? Is it like when Patrick says something, does
- 1:33:34Speaker 10: it become that? Well, I ain't got to go nowhere
- 1:33:36Speaker 10: just because it's you. But if Andy says it, I
- 1:33:38Speaker 10: have to leave. Well, first Andy said, put your feet down.
- 1:33:43Speaker 2: Right. Patrick, then it just falls to the captains. Okay.
- 1:33:50Speaker 4: And the veterans of the team to stand by their coach.
- 1:33:55Speaker 3: Right.
- 1:33:56Speaker 4: Uh, engage what's going on in the room. You had
- 1:33:58Speaker 4: a question about that though, before I finished.
- 1:34:01Speaker 2: Well, yeah, if you, if you know, uh, while you
- 1:34:04Speaker 2: were playing, if you had, uh, if you see it,
- 1:34:07Speaker 2: seeing an exchange like that between, um, player to player
- 1:34:13Speaker 2: or coach to player about, um, some form of decorum about,
- 1:34:18Speaker 2: you know, putting your feet down or, or having some
- 1:34:20Speaker 2: kind of respect for whatever the process may have been
- 1:34:24Speaker 2: a team meeting, film session, whatever. All the time.
- 1:34:28Speaker 4: Based on the personalities of the people in the room.
- 1:34:31Speaker 4: A lot of times it's based on somebody shows up late.
- 1:34:34Speaker 4: Somebody shows up without their playbook in their hand. Someone's
- 1:34:39Speaker 4: falling asleep. I catch you drifting off and you don't
- 1:34:46Speaker 4: have to fall completely asleep.
- 1:34:48Speaker 2: If I see you drifting off, coach tell you to
- 1:34:51Speaker 2: go stand on the wall. or leave the meeting room.
- 1:35:00Speaker 4: One funny story, back in the day, down in Dallas,
- 1:35:04Speaker 4: a good friend, Tony Richardson, was in the meeting, guy
- 1:35:07Speaker 4: fell asleep, and the coach woke him up, and his
- 1:35:13Speaker 4: comeback was, you let Emmitt sleep, they cut him the
- 1:35:18Speaker 4: next day.
- 1:35:19Speaker 2: No, not immediately. Not immediately. I'm saying off the whole team. Yes,
- 1:35:24Speaker 2: he got cut.
- 1:35:25Speaker 4: You lost your job for trying to bring Emmitt into it. Well,
- 1:35:29Speaker 4: that thing that the bad producer loves to do where
- 1:35:32Speaker 4: he shows you somebody else. And so what I'm saying,
- 1:35:35Speaker 4: and was that all Emmitt?
- 1:35:38Speaker 2: Did Emmitt go, hey, coach, you know what to do?
- 1:35:41Speaker 4: No, it's you sitting here not realizing that you're not Emmitt.
- 1:35:46Speaker 2: And the whole organization cosigned that.
- 1:35:48Speaker 9: Sometimes you got to know your role. I mean, if
- 1:35:51Speaker 9: you know you're not image, you don't say nothing.
- 1:35:55Speaker 4: Well, I think, well, still, that to me is what
- 1:35:59Speaker 4: I would call the good old days. Because you could
- 1:36:03Speaker 4: used to do stuff like that.
- 1:36:05Speaker 2: This kid would have got fired, too. Yeah.
- 1:36:08Speaker 4: If he probably was a later round pick. Or they
- 1:36:11Speaker 4: wasn't counting on him. But trust me, Andy kept this
- 1:36:14Speaker 4: keeping as... Deion says receipts. Andy Reid, the head coach,
- 1:36:21Speaker 4: says do something. Then if you're any Chris Jones, the D-tackle,
- 1:36:27Speaker 4: or Patrick Mahomes, you might want to start jumping to
- 1:36:30Speaker 4: it out there, which most likely they're going to follow instructions.
- 1:36:37Speaker 4: That's why they are still there getting highly paid. Andy
- 1:36:40Speaker 4: covets them, but you don't have that rapport with, the
- 1:36:45Speaker 4: coach to act like you can't do it. And then
- 1:36:48Speaker 4: you asked about Patrick. No, if Patrick stands up in
- 1:36:52Speaker 4: the meeting room, the rest of us are going to
- 1:36:55Speaker 4: fight for Patrick. So you're not going to get Patrick
- 1:36:58Speaker 4: because Patrick, you can only beat up Patrick when Patrick's wrong.
- 1:37:03Speaker 4: Patrick is the captain. So he's not wrong for executing
- 1:37:10Speaker 4: what the coach already put forth. He's not wrong. So
- 1:37:18Speaker 4: it's not that we won't let you jump Patrick, but
- 1:37:22Speaker 4: when you and Patrick got your own, but him standing
- 1:37:25Speaker 4: up for Andy telling you to get out the meeting room,
- 1:37:29Speaker 4: sometimes that ends up with keep walking.
- 1:37:32Speaker 2: Like the great Bill Belichick, he does a lot of guys.
- 1:37:37Speaker 2: Just keep on, keep it moving. Security already at the door,
- 1:37:40Speaker 2: looking for your playbook. They bag your stuff up. They
- 1:37:43Speaker 2: ask you for an address. to ship your other stuff to,
- 1:37:47Speaker 2: if you want to know how. They get it real quick,
- 1:37:49Speaker 2: so just in case.
- 1:37:50Speaker 10: Elder Casey says, probably wasn't the first time an incident
- 1:37:53Speaker 10: like this happened, and you said sometimes people fall asleep.
- 1:37:56Speaker 2: They have a history.
- 1:37:57Speaker 10: Generally, we never know the backstory of a player that
- 1:38:01Speaker 10: may be problematic, especially if he's producing, because how does
- 1:38:05Speaker 10: that get handled? If I am Chris Jones and I
- 1:38:07Speaker 10: fall asleep and you wake me up, whatever, I go
- 1:38:12Speaker 10: back to sleep.
- 1:38:13Speaker 2: I don't wake Chris Jones up. Get that.
- 1:38:18Speaker 4: Sports outside of, and we'll go to break, but sports
- 1:38:21Speaker 4: is still like the military. The ranking is in front
- 1:38:25Speaker 4: of you. There's no kumbaya. We're not all equal. Gunny,
- 1:38:31Speaker 4: get to sleep. Staff Sergeant, don't get to sleep.
- 1:38:35Speaker 2: We're not all equal.
- 1:38:36Speaker 16: No, no.
- 1:38:37Speaker 4: You might walk by first class and the quarterback sitting
- 1:38:39Speaker 4: up there with the owner in first class drinking champagne.
- 1:38:43Speaker 2: That's what it is, bro. I'm sorry. I mean, it
- 1:38:47Speaker 2: is what it is. I'm starting, but I ain't drinking champagne.
- 1:38:51Speaker 2: We'll be back. More of the Sports Jock Show right
- 1:38:53Speaker 2: after this. Don't go away.
- 1:38:56Speaker 8: More of the Sports Jock Show with Wayne Gamby is
- 1:39:00Speaker 8: coming up next.
- 1:39:13Speaker 26: Everyone needs to take care of their mental health, even
- 1:39:15Speaker 26: running back Bijan Robinson.
- 1:39:17Speaker 2: When I'm on the field and feeling the pressure, I
- 1:39:19Speaker 2: usually just take a deep breath. When I'm just breathing
- 1:39:22Speaker 2: and seeing what's in front of me, everything just slows down.
- 1:39:25Speaker 2: It just makes me feel great before I run the play.
- 1:39:27Speaker 26: Just like Bijan, we all need a strong mental game
- 1:39:30Speaker 26: on and off the field. Make a game plan for

- 1:40:48Speaker 3: back to the sports jar, Wayne Gandy.
- 1:41:00Speaker 2: It's Wayne Gandy. It's Wayne Gandy.
- 1:41:10Speaker 23: Oh, log on so you can see. The sports J-O-C,
- 1:41:15Speaker 23: even the big.
- 1:41:18Speaker 4: Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports
- 1:41:21Speaker 4: Shock Wayne Gandy. It's so interesting, that dynamic, you guys.
- 1:41:25Speaker 4: It's so interesting. It's just sports, and most of us
- 1:41:29Speaker 4: have participated. Those rankings, those feelings, they don't ever change.
- 1:41:34Speaker 4: You do always have that one or two teammates who
- 1:41:37Speaker 4: still see themselves, want to buck. But the structure of
- 1:41:43Speaker 4: whatever Steph Curry says, I'll be talking when he leaves, though.
- 1:41:49Speaker 2: I got mind control over Steph Curry. When he leaves, though.
- 1:41:51Speaker 2: He tells me to shut up. I shut up.
- 1:41:53Speaker 4: Right now, it's like for you to play football when
- 1:41:57Speaker 4: they tell you when the quarterback steps in the huddle.
- 1:42:00Speaker 4: I can be in all pro year 12. He can
- 1:42:04Speaker 4: be a fresh rookie. But when he steps into that huddle,
- 1:42:09Speaker 4: he is the commander-in-chief. Now later on after the game,
- 1:42:15Speaker 4: on the bus back or whatever, me and him might
- 1:42:17Speaker 4: have some choice words. But right now, between these hashes,
- 1:42:23Speaker 4: he say shut up or shut in a derogatory, it
- 1:42:28Speaker 4: might be directly at me. I just got to bite
- 1:42:31Speaker 4: that bottom lip because he is the commander in chief.
- 1:42:37Speaker 4: And it really is just that way. So when Patrick
- 1:42:39Speaker 4: Mahomes stood up and say, You move that way if
- 1:42:42Speaker 4: you want to. True teammates going to go ahead on
- 1:42:46Speaker 4: and end that for Patrick. Like being 18 around your dad.
- 1:42:48Speaker 2: Now Patrick come in, I know he was sleeping with
- 1:42:50Speaker 2: your girlfriend last night. You tighten him up. I ain't
- 1:42:53Speaker 2: got nothing to do with that.
- 1:42:54Speaker 4: Or Patrick owe you some money because that half the
- 1:42:57Speaker 4: time is why they stop. Those are half the fights.
- 1:43:00Speaker 2: Money. Gambling. Gambling. Big Kenny, like Stewie and Brian. It's
- 1:43:08Speaker 2: like that. You got my money, man? You got my money, man?
- 1:43:12Speaker 4: You got my money, man? And we sitting there, hey, man,
- 1:43:15Speaker 4: you know, Big Kenny, oh, Babadook's 50 grand, man. He
- 1:43:17Speaker 4: ain't paid him yet.
- 1:43:18Speaker 2: I'm saying, it's like, oh, man, I don't know what
- 1:43:21Speaker 2: to say, coach. It's like being 18 still living at
- 1:43:24Speaker 2: the house.
- 1:43:25Speaker 4: And Kenny in the meeting bleeding. Hey, what happened? Ain't
- 1:43:28Speaker 4: nobody seen nothing. We just all sitting there grown men
- 1:43:30Speaker 4: acting like we ain't just seen. Vic couldn't get it,
- 1:43:33Speaker 4: and that's really how it was. I don't know if
- 1:43:35Speaker 4: it's still that way today, but most fights back in
- 1:43:39Speaker 4: that time, especially.
- 1:43:42Speaker 2: On the plane. It's about the money. Seattle to Tampa
- 1:43:48Speaker 2: Bay for like three, four hours.
- 1:43:51Speaker 4: And they playing, you might land from Seattle on somebody
- 1:43:56Speaker 4: 120 G.
- 1:43:57Speaker 2: Man, it was like that. Playing good.
- 1:43:59Speaker 4: And we're talking about, and this was in the day
- 1:44:01Speaker 4: of the checkbook So I'm going to need my money.
- 1:44:04Speaker 2: Right now. Right now. Right there, check.
- 1:44:06Speaker 10: Talking about you can't transfer for $ 10.
- 1:44:08Speaker 2: 000 a day. Bet not, bro. Check bet not, bro. So,
- 1:44:11Speaker 2: but no, Patrick was all within his, that is his job.
- 1:44:17Speaker 4: Uncle Charlie wanted to know, he said, someone should advise
- 1:44:19Speaker 4: Deshaun Watson of his position power. Or am I not
- 1:44:22Speaker 4: understanding what is being said? Like what he's saying?
- 1:44:26Speaker 10: He feels like maybe Deshaun Watson isn't, um, maybe taking
- 1:44:32Speaker 10: charge enough?
- 1:44:34Speaker 2: Well, with Deshaun, Deshaun is, you know, and I think
- 1:44:37Speaker 2: right now as even Stephen A. Smith, I did see that.
- 1:44:40Speaker 2: You would have to say for what all Deshaun has
- 1:44:42Speaker 2: gone through off the field, you know, and with the injuries,
- 1:44:48Speaker 2: comeback player of the year, but we're only six, seven
- 1:44:50Speaker 2: games in. But I can see where he came up
- 1:44:54Speaker 2: with that thought. Deshaun is still in that quandary of
- 1:44:57Speaker 2: trying to, get the respect back from everybody. And not
- 1:45:01Speaker 2: just the respect, talking about the massages, I'm talking about
- 1:45:03Speaker 2: the respect that you look like you shouldn't be in
- 1:45:09Speaker 2: the league. This is the first time in about four years,
- 1:45:12Speaker 2: you look like, oh, okay. But when you're not playing,
- 1:45:18Speaker 2: you don't even have the faith of the team to
- 1:45:21Speaker 2: be able to go in there and start just bickering.
- 1:45:27Speaker 2: A lot of times that's why the backup quarterback is
- 1:45:29Speaker 2: a veteran, maybe even a notable veteran, because people can
- 1:45:33Speaker 2: have instant belief that he has proven that he can
- 1:45:35Speaker 2: get the job done. And that's what it's all about.
- 1:45:39Speaker 2: So he's trying to win his team back over. Patrick
- 1:45:44Speaker 2: Mahomes is not trying to win his team over. They're convinced.
- 1:45:49Speaker 2: You know what it is. You know who the alpha,
- 1:45:53Speaker 2: whether he's a vocal alpha or not. He's an alpha.
- 1:45:59Speaker 4: I didn't really get a privilege to play, I guess,
- 1:46:03Speaker 4: Mike Vick. Most of my quarterbacks were still in their
- 1:46:06Speaker 4: proving stage. They were teetering. Mike Vick was still teetering too,
- 1:46:11Speaker 4: but he had more of a brand. So I never
- 1:46:17Speaker 4: stepped in the huddle with something established like a Patrick
- 1:46:22Speaker 4: Mahomes that was still– Most of my quarterbacks were still
- 1:46:27Speaker 4: trying to prove they're superstars. I never played with a
- 1:46:32Speaker 4: quarterback that was the superstar. I played with running backs.
- 1:46:40Speaker 4: That's like, oh man, we just need to give them
- 1:46:42Speaker 4: a crease. And Deuce McAllister taking this to the house.
- 1:46:45Speaker 4: It was very inspiring. Ward, man, we get Ward done
- 1:46:49Speaker 4: out on the edge or the bus. All we try
- 1:46:51Speaker 4: to do is get the bus four minutes left in
- 1:46:54Speaker 4: the third. We're going to unleash it. And Big Kenny
- 1:46:58Speaker 4: is not going to really want it. He's going to
- 1:47:00Speaker 4: act like a tough guy about two quarters. Two quarters, hard,
- 1:47:05Speaker 4: real hard. I'm going to be a nail for two quarters.
- 1:47:09Speaker 4: Then about the middle of that third quarter. It just
- 1:47:12Speaker 4: starts getting– I'm going to start being a paperclip. Yeah,
- 1:47:16Speaker 4: I played with those kind of running backs and receivers,
- 1:47:19Speaker 4: Hall of Fame receivers. I never played with a quarterback.
- 1:47:22Speaker 4: That it was just already stamped.
- 1:47:24Speaker 10: Because Elder Casey said, how much does consistent winning contribute
- 1:47:27Speaker 10: to that?
- 1:47:28Speaker 4: To that just, you know. Yeah, it's part of it.
- 1:47:31Speaker 4: This is a winner. You know, this is this guy here.
- 1:47:34Speaker 4: We just need to give him more time. He is
- 1:47:36Speaker 4: the guy to lead us. And faith and belief is
- 1:47:40Speaker 4: most of sports. That is the greatness. that's what being
- 1:47:47Speaker 4: the bad producer always when he hates on LeBron James
- 1:47:50Speaker 4: and LeBron James biggest weapon that nobody ever really talks
- 1:47:53Speaker 4: about is whatever it is that says when he shows up,
- 1:47:58Speaker 4: everybody seems to have more belief. And that's why he's
- 1:48:02Speaker 4: always being, and Steph Curry does, and it's not in Kobe.
- 1:48:05Speaker 4: So it's not, but that is their difference between when
- 1:48:09Speaker 4: people will be like, Oh, Trey young, or other guys
- 1:48:14Speaker 4: like that, adding them does not make the other.
- 1:48:19Speaker 11: People.
- 1:48:19Speaker 2: Make me believe we got that much better chance. Right.
- 1:48:22Speaker 4: But there are different athletes. You just add. They didn't
- 1:48:26Speaker 4: do any more than they was doing. But them in
- 1:48:30Speaker 4: the mix.
- 1:48:30Speaker 2: Miles Garrett just added to L.A. this year.
- 1:48:33Speaker 10: When I think about a Patrick Mahomes, I think that
- 1:48:36Speaker 10: on my own, I think, man, I have a shot
- 1:48:38Speaker 10: at winning this.
- 1:48:39Speaker 2: When he shows up, I think, we got this. There
- 1:48:42Speaker 2: is no might. We got this. Right. And that's what
- 1:48:46Speaker 2: I'm saying. It's not just him and what he's going
- 1:48:48Speaker 2: to do.
- 1:48:49Speaker 11: Right.
- 1:48:50Speaker 4: It's just I can go get him right now, bring
- 1:48:52Speaker 4: him to Atlanta, and everything you think about Atlanta starts
- 1:48:57Speaker 4: changing mentally.
- 1:48:58Speaker 15: Yes.
- 1:48:58Speaker 4: To have that kind of effect also goes out on
- 1:49:01Speaker 4: the field because now Drake London feel like, man, I
- 1:49:05Speaker 4: just need a step, then.
- 1:49:06Speaker 2: You're saying I just with this dude. Instantly.
- 1:49:11Speaker 4: And that's sometimes what we don't ever talk about in sports,
- 1:49:14Speaker 4: how some people just bring that and raise the level
- 1:49:18Speaker 4: because the other players feel like.
- 1:49:21Speaker 2: Now there's a chance. We'll be back. More of the
- 1:49:23Speaker 2: Sports Jock Show right after this. Don't go away. More

- 1:51:43Speaker 2: You're definitely going to hear this song because they play

- 1:51:49Speaker 4: Whoever got the rights to that definitely winning big here
- 1:51:53Speaker 4: over the last handful of years. That is an anthem
- 1:51:58Speaker 4: that they play at some point, typically in late third,
- 1:52:02Speaker 4: early fourth to get the crowd going. The swag and

- 1:52:30Speaker 4: chants in the stands. I'm only talking about this because
- 1:52:34Speaker 4: I'm the AD, man. Comanche, I'm on.
- 1:52:37Speaker 9: The hook, man.
- 1:52:38Speaker 2: I ain't paying that bill. I'm on the hook for
- 1:52:40Speaker 2: your chance. I didn't do anything. I didn't write them.
- 1:52:42Speaker 2: It's your school, though.
- 1:52:44Speaker 9: I'm not the education department. I'm the AD, athletic.
- 1:52:48Speaker 2: I don't have anything. It's at a sporting event. But
- 1:52:50Speaker 2: I'm not the fans. That's the fans. You the one
- 1:52:53Speaker 2: in charge. No.
- 1:52:54Speaker 4: I made the announcement at the beginning. Every game I've
- 1:52:57Speaker 4: been to this year- They all make that same public announcement.
- 1:53:03Speaker 2: Now, that's one thing. Please call me in. I will
- 1:53:06Speaker 2: defend the teams in the arena.
- 1:53:08Speaker 4: From high school up to the pros. They let you
- 1:53:10Speaker 4: know that it's not going to be none of that
- 1:53:11Speaker 4: Big Kenny stuff in here tonight. We're going to put
- 1:53:14Speaker 4: you out, and we're going to prosecute.
- 1:53:15Speaker 2: Yes, sir. Every high school, college, pros. Every game, they start.
- 1:53:21Speaker 2: They let you know. You told them to stop, and
- 1:53:23Speaker 2: they didn't.
- 1:53:24Speaker 4: We used to pray and now they give you these
- 1:53:26Speaker 4: rules that we're going to get you up out of
- 1:53:28Speaker 4: here now.
- 1:53:28Speaker 2: You right.
- 1:53:30Speaker 4: If you do some of that Big Kenny, Comanche Greg
- 1:53:33Speaker 4: stuff up in here, we're going to get you out
- 1:53:35Speaker 4: of here. I just didn't understand how I'm on the
- 1:53:37Speaker 4: hook for 100 grand.
- 1:53:39Speaker 2: You ain't make your announcement. Because y'all made a chant.
- 1:53:41Speaker 2: You didn't make your announcement. No, I made the announcement.
- 1:53:44Speaker 9: That announcement was made because that's all a part of
- 1:53:48Speaker 9: the program.
- 1:53:49Speaker 2: You can't have the game.
- 1:53:51Speaker 9: Yeah, the game has to be– it has to be–
- 1:53:53Speaker 9: it's right during warm-ups, right at the 10-minute mark with
- 1:53:57Speaker 9: 10 minutes left in warm-ups because everybody start at least
- 1:54:00Speaker 9: 15 minutes of warm-up time. And at that 10-minute mark,
- 1:54:03Speaker 9: it's prerecorded or you're an announcer in the stands.
- 1:54:08Speaker 4: So get your people. Get your people. That's what I'm saying.
- 1:54:11Speaker 4: These your folks.
- 1:54:12Speaker 2: Man, I'm in Sky Sweet.
- 1:54:14Speaker 11: 4-1-2.
- 1:54:15Speaker 2: Hold on.
- 1:54:15Speaker 4: Hold on. What section did it come out of?
- 1:54:19Speaker 2: It came in 1-0-9. Which is the.
- 1:54:23Speaker 4: That's on the opposite side of the stadium. And they
- 1:54:25Speaker 4: say that's the... Oh, that looks like the student section.
- 1:54:28Speaker 2: Is that correct? Is that correct? The student section?
- 1:54:32Speaker 20: Is that.
- 1:54:33Speaker 2: Is it okay?
- 1:54:33Speaker 11: Okay.
- 1:54:34Speaker 4: I was not down at the meeting. Oh, I understand that, sir.
- 1:54:37Speaker 4: But now this check needs to be cleared by the third.
- 1:54:40Speaker 4: Or there's going to be a penalty. This isn't the first...
- 1:54:44Speaker 4: Incident involving BYU. Other schools have been.
- 1:54:52Speaker 8: Derogatory towards BYU at games.
- 1:54:56Speaker 2: Auburn was chanting derogatory Lane Kiffin last week.
- 1:55:01Speaker 20: Yeah.
- 1:55:02Speaker 4: Giving it to him. Until they start putting that hammer
- 1:55:05Speaker 4: on us. I've been at a high school. At least
- 1:55:07Speaker 4: we got a quarter worth of it just to get
- 1:55:09Speaker 4: the game going.
- 1:55:10Speaker 9: I've been at a high school game here in Georgia
- 1:55:12Speaker 9: playing a private school, and the public school starts winning.
- 1:55:15Speaker 9: At the end of the game, they start hollering, way
- 1:55:16Speaker 9: to go, free school. I mean, that's just part of it.
- 1:55:20Speaker 8: Well, maybe that's a little more creative than what UCF
- 1:55:25Speaker 8: was saying. They just saying, F the Mormons.
- 1:55:29Speaker 2: Well, I mean.
- 1:55:29Speaker 11: Well.
- 1:55:31Speaker 2: I ain't going to judge. Because we done all screamed
- 1:55:34Speaker 2: out after Mormons. Am I right?
- 1:55:35Speaker 11: No.
- 1:55:36Speaker 2: We done all screamed out. Y'all ain't.
- 1:55:39Speaker 13: No.
- 1:55:39Speaker 2: Okay. We ain't going to.
- 1:55:41Speaker 4: I'm saying I'm in the Auburn Stadium listening, trying to
- 1:55:43Speaker 4: figure out what are they saying?
- 1:55:45Speaker 2: And it was A, B, C, D, E, F. The Mormons.
- 1:55:48Speaker 2: Lane Kiffin. Oh, yeah, yeah. F. Lane Kiffin. F. Lane Kiffin.
- 1:55:57Speaker 4: And Lane Kiffin's standing out there on the field. It
- 1:55:59Speaker 4: ain't like he in the locker room. Yeah, y'all not invisible.
- 1:56:01Speaker 4: He looking at him like, y'all know I can hear you.
- 1:56:05Speaker 4: I'm looking at you. I'm looking at you. Say this.
- 1:56:08Speaker 4: It's 90,000 people.
- 1:56:09Speaker 2: I'm looking at you. In a stadium. In a bowl.
- 1:56:11Speaker 2: Uncle James, I see you. So let me ask you
- 1:56:13Speaker 2: this question. I can see you. I want to ask this.
- 1:56:16Speaker 2: So they're going to charge $ 100, 000.
- 1:56:17Speaker 9: Okay, University of South Carolina, they just beat Tennessee this weekend.
- 1:56:25Speaker 9: They got the hedges. They tore up all these hedges
- 1:56:28Speaker 9: just to get on the field. So I wonder if
- 1:56:31Speaker 9: it costs $ 100, 000 to fix these hedges back by the
- 1:56:35Speaker 9: next two weeks. Are they going to charge the fans $ 100, 000?
- 1:56:38Speaker 2: Who did that or is that going to be? They
- 1:56:39Speaker 2: don't charge the fans. They charge the university.
- 1:56:42Speaker 9: But I'm saying this is that type of situation that
- 1:56:46Speaker 9: another athletic director on the hook for the fans in
- 1:56:51Speaker 9: college football.
- 1:56:52Speaker 4: Well, the difference is that in rushing the field, you
- 1:56:57Speaker 4: can put security and pull out the water.
- 1:57:01Speaker 2: Holes and a dog and.
- 1:57:03Speaker 4: Anything else you want. You can put a fence around
- 1:57:05Speaker 4: so you can't get through. With somebody saying something, I
- 1:57:09Speaker 4: wasn't even over there when Big Kenny was over there, man.
- 1:57:11Speaker 2: Hey, man. He don't even go to school here. He
- 1:57:15Speaker 2: just had on a shirt. He's just a fan. He
- 1:57:18Speaker 2: got a ticket from his cousin. He grew up in Florida.
- 1:57:21Speaker 4: He was in town for the weekend.
- 1:57:24Speaker 2: He had a shirt. He had a ticket. He came in.
- 1:57:26Speaker 2: He came up with all these chants. He bought the
- 1:57:29Speaker 2: chants in from another state. And now here we are.
- 1:57:34Speaker 4: Major injuries as we go and remember 1230 in a
- 1:57:37Speaker 4: couple of hours here. Valkyrie's dream tonight, Carolina Green Bay,
- 1:57:42Speaker 4: but a lot of injuries in the NBA with Ant-Man,
- 1:57:46Speaker 4: Anthony Edwards, Kawhi is out with knee swelling.
- 1:57:52Speaker 2: It's a real hustle.
- 1:57:53Speaker 4: I'm surprised some of these owners haven't taken Kawhi Leonard
- 1:57:56Speaker 4: to jail for sandbagging.
- 1:57:58Speaker 2: Have you heard Stephen A. Smith's? What is the thing, lemon?
- 1:58:02Speaker 2: What's the thing when you get a car? It's a lemon.
- 1:58:05Speaker 2: A lemon long. He definitely is.
- 1:58:07Speaker 10: Did you hear Stephen A. Smith's take on him? He said,
- 1:58:11Speaker 10: the worst superstar ever. Car facts. You need car facts on. Basically,
- 1:58:15Speaker 10: he was scamming the NBA. He never works. He just
- 1:58:21Speaker 10: goes places and collects checks. And he's basically a bum,
- 1:58:25Speaker 10: like an insurance scammer.
- 1:58:27Speaker 2: Oh, man.
- 1:58:29Speaker 4: It seems that way. I can't remember. And I think
- 1:58:33Speaker 4: a lot of it seems because of his disposition. He
- 1:58:35Speaker 4: always seems like he's very comfortable not participating.
- 1:58:42Speaker 2: Which y'all want me to do, man.
- 1:58:43Speaker 8: You know how it is when you look at him?
- 1:58:46Speaker 8: He's probably one of those guys that says, I know
- 1:58:48Speaker 8: my body. You don't say it, but he's a guy who.
- 1:58:51Speaker 2: Might say it. I ain't got to say it. They
- 1:58:53Speaker 2: say it that I wasn't.
- 1:58:55Speaker 4: And so, come on, man. Y'all act like y'all mad.
- 1:58:59Speaker 4: And we are in the ocean.
- 1:59:05Speaker 2: The truth is, he will throw your ass in the ocean.
- 1:59:09Speaker 3: It's time to wrap things up on the Sports Jack Show.
- 1:59:44Speaker 4: When you're the size of the ocean, it gives the sports. Y'all,
- 1:59:45Speaker 4: just a minute to vent. We'd like to thank you
- 1:59:47Speaker 4: for tuning in at any point this week. Thank you
- 1:59:49Speaker 4: for your comments online as well. Great conversation. Big Kenny Comanche, Greg.
- 1:59:55Speaker 4: Bad producer, thank you for your contributions to the show today. Remember,
- 2:00:00Speaker 4: Carolina Green Bay Thursday night football, 1230. The Valkyries in
- 2:00:04Speaker 4: dream game six. The dream must win to keep the
- 2:00:07Speaker 4: series going. Congratulations to the Milwaukee Brewers. I didn't talk
- 2:00:11Speaker 4: about it much, but congratulations to you because I would
- 2:00:15Speaker 4: have been doing the bad producer and giving you fake
- 2:00:18Speaker 4: news if I had reported on that other than congratulating
- 2:00:22Speaker 4: you because I watched zero seconds.
- 2:00:25Speaker 2: Of this World Series. But congratulations, first time in franchise
- 2:00:30Speaker 2: history that you won that championship. If you missed any
- 2:00:34Speaker 2: of today's show, you can go to Amazon Podcasts, Apple Podcasts, Audible, Deezer, iHeartRadio,
- 2:00:40Speaker 2: or Spotify and catch the replay of the show.
- 2:00:44Speaker 4: Going in the ocean today. Down in Texas. Comanche Greggs, boy.
- 2:00:56Speaker 4: Desmond Bryan. Down at a Mexican restaurant parking lot with
- 2:01:03Speaker 4: his kids and female companion all in the car. Des
- 2:01:11Speaker 4: told these 19-year-olds, y'all gonna learn today. Two 19-year-olds, he
- 2:01:18Speaker 4: had decided he was gonna kill them, the 19-year-old said.
- 2:01:22Speaker 4: He was threatening to remove them from the earth. And sadly, Dez,
- 2:01:28Speaker 4: with your colorful background, I couldn't just say, no, Dez
- 2:01:31Speaker 4: didn't say that. I had to kind of just go
- 2:01:33Speaker 4: with the shoulder shrug, like, okay. It could have happened
- 2:01:39Speaker 4: like that, man. But I ain't judging because we done
- 2:01:42Speaker 4: all threatened to remove a 19-year-old from the earth, M.O.
- 2:01:46Speaker 2: Am I right? Am I right? It seems that Dez
- 2:01:50Speaker 2: was upset like we see a lot now in the
- 2:01:52Speaker 2: parking lot with the parking situation. Had some choice words.
- 2:01:56Speaker 2: Was put in handcuffs.
- 2:01:57Speaker 4: Didn't like that the police came heavily armed to the
- 2:02:02Speaker 4: parking lot was Dez.
- 2:02:04Speaker 2: But he found out that he was the one. Had
- 2:02:07Speaker 2: a little lip. Sounds like Dez, right Comanche? That's your boy.
- 2:02:11Speaker 2: I like him a little bit. Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's
- 2:02:14Speaker 2: not beyond what... It's just a Monday afternoon? Ain't everybody tripping? Oh, well,
- 2:02:21Speaker 2: it's lunchtime. What'd you expect? A little death threat? It's normal?
- 2:02:27Speaker 4: He has been arrested. I think it was a misdemeanor.
- 2:02:31Speaker 4: Fortunately for everybody, nobody got hurt. It was a misdemeanor,
- 2:02:36Speaker 4: as a death threat should be.
- 2:02:39Speaker 2: But for that, Dez Bryant. Walk the plank.
- 2:02:51Speaker 4: Catch the game here at 1230 if you can. And
- 2:02:55Speaker 4: if you're Atlanta, you definitely can. You've been given permission
- 2:02:58Speaker 4: by the mayor to click on. But Comanche Greg, Big Kenny,
- 2:03:03Speaker 4: the bad producer in the sports shop, we'll see you
- 2:03:05Speaker 4: in the future.
- 2:03:07Speaker 2: Peace. Hope I don't need no ambulance later.
