- 0:32Speaker 4: You get into that point where it's like you don't know.
- 0:34Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 0:35Speaker 4: And then you're trying to do your own math.
- 0:38Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 0:39Speaker 3: I needed to be on like fives or zeros now. Otherwise,

- 1:01Speaker 2: I did not know that one. Oh, good enough.

- 1:05Speaker 4: Over and over again.
- 1:09Speaker 2: There you go.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Instead of singing happy birthday, we're going to start singing
- 1:14Speaker 1: that to you.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Well, like.
- 1:19Speaker 3: Behind the scenes, weird radio rules. Like you can't really
- 1:22Speaker 3: play happy birthday.
- 1:23Speaker 6: No.
- 1:24Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:24Speaker 1: You're also not supposed to wish people out. I'm like,
- 1:26Speaker 1: don't be cranky. So happy birthday.
- 1:29Speaker 2: Today's your birthday. It does make more sense to play that.
- 1:31Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Happy birthday.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Well, we can't give you a bunch of gifts today.
- 1:37Speaker 1: So we're just going to give everybody else a bunch
- 1:39Speaker 1: of gifts today. Starting with a thousand dollars.
- 1:41Speaker 4: Of new country cash.
- 1:43Speaker 2: I like that. And 850 will tell you what time
- 1:45Speaker 2: to be listening for your name. What else we got?
- 1:48Speaker 4: Zach Bryan tickets.
- 1:50Speaker 5: Ooh.
- 1:50Speaker 1: We've been working on this behind the scenes. And they're like, oh,
- 1:54Speaker 1: it's Cole's birthday. Let's start on Cole's birthday. We have
- 1:57Speaker 1: tickets 9 a.m. New Country Keyword. Zach Bryan is coming
- 2:00Speaker 1: to Lucas Oil Stadium May 1st. Want to get you
- 2:03Speaker 1: into that. We'll do it at 9 and 3 today
- 2:05Speaker 1: for your chance to win your way in. We're Indy's
- 2:08Speaker 1: number one for new country, 97-1 Hank FM. That is
- 2:11Speaker 1: the latest from Kenny Chesney. It's Remember Me That Way.
- 2:14Speaker 1: He is going to be at Soldier Field this summer.
- 2:16Speaker 1: What if his opener is Graylin James is going to
- 2:19Speaker 1: be here next week for Hank's giving and you have
- 2:22Speaker 1: one final chance.
- 2:24Speaker 4: To get your hanksgiving tickets.
- 2:25Speaker 3: Because they're free four to six coming up on friday
- 2:29Speaker 3: moondrop distillery in fortville to grab those.
- 2:31Speaker 1: You want more details on hanksgiving which is graylin james
- 2:34Speaker 1: and the band perry free concert at slippery needle hank
- 2:37Speaker 1: fm.com we'll get you those details.
- 2:39Speaker 3: They did what i saw this on social media last
- 2:43Speaker 3: week and i don't think we've talked about it yet
- 2:46Speaker 3: but Our company does this. Companies I've worked for in
- 2:51Speaker 3: the past have done this. They, like, do the fake
- 2:55Speaker 3: phishing test to see if they can catch you, like,
- 2:58Speaker 3: falling for a cyber scam so they can bump up security.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Yeah, so they can, you know, educate you so you.
- 3:03Speaker 3: Don't fall for, like, a real one and then end
- 3:06Speaker 3: up getting the company hacked, basically.
- 3:09Speaker 2: Yeah. Did you see the one the New York Knicks
- 3:12Speaker 2: did the other night?
- 3:13Speaker 6: No.
- 3:15Speaker 3: They.
- 3:17Speaker 4: To their employees or to other people?
- 3:18Speaker 2: To their employees. Okay.
- 3:21Speaker 3: Sent their employees an email saying that they could pick
- 3:26Speaker 3: from one of two designs for their own personal championship rings.
- 3:34Speaker 4: That's mean.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Yes, it is.
- 3:36Speaker 1: That is like the time, not on the same scale,
- 3:39Speaker 1: but the last company we both worked for told me
- 3:41Speaker 1: I won a Target gift card and I was pretty
- 3:43Speaker 1: disappointed when I did.
- 3:44Speaker 2: It with that.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Can you imagine saying that you won a Pacers championship ring?
- 3:49Speaker 3: Like that is a pretty common thing for professional sports
- 3:53Speaker 3: organizations to do. Like they, yeah, they don't get the
- 3:56Speaker 3: like real big crazy one that the players get, but
- 3:58Speaker 3: they might get like something that looks like a smaller
- 4:00Speaker 3: like class ring that Sort of thing.
- 4:03Speaker 2: Yeah. And it was a fishing test.
- 4:05Speaker 1: Now you have to take all this extra training and
- 4:08Speaker 1: you're still not getting a ring.
- 4:09Speaker 4: If we needed another reason to hate the Knicks. Here
- 4:14Speaker 4: we go.
- 4:14Speaker 6: So shocking, it'll make your jaw drop. He clicked on
- 4:18Speaker 6: it so you don't have to. It's Clickbait Cole on
- 4:22Speaker 6: Hank FM. Today is my 33rd birthday. Woo!
- 4:28Speaker 3: An 83-year-old New Yorker is getting ready to compete his.
- 4:34Speaker 2: 50th straight New York City Marathon.
- 4:37Speaker 6: 83?
- 4:38Speaker 3: Yeah, so if I started right now, and in 50 years,
- 4:43Speaker 3: I would also be 83.
- 4:44Speaker 2: If I started right now, I could catch this guy.
- 4:47Speaker 4: You're wearing your Chicago Marathon gear.
- 4:49Speaker 3: That's exactly what I was thinking. I was like, oh,
- 4:50Speaker 3: how convenient. But that's insane to me.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Doing it at, I guess I was 32.
- 4:56Speaker 6: Yeah. Yeah.
- 4:57Speaker 3: A couple weeks ago when I did it. Could not
- 5:00Speaker 3: imagine doing it at 83. This year, he plans to
- 5:03Speaker 3: walk the course with his stepdaughter and his goal is
- 5:05Speaker 3: just to finish. In his life, he has completed 115 marathons.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. More than 200 ultra marathons, which is
- 5:15Speaker 3: basically anything longer than a marathon. And his fastest New
- 5:20Speaker 3: York City marathon came in the 80s when he ran
- 5:23Speaker 3: it in two hours and 40 minutes, which was Much
- 5:26Speaker 3: quicker than mine time, which is really fast.
- 5:29Speaker 6: I follow. I like.
- 5:31Speaker 2: I share.
- 5:32Speaker 6: Annie and Cole on Hank FM.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Okay, are you ready for the impulse buys Americans regret
- 5:38Speaker 3: the most?
- 5:39Speaker 2: Can you guess number one on the list? A car. Oh,
- 5:43Speaker 2: good one.
- 5:44Speaker 3: No, that is actually not it. I don't even see
- 5:47Speaker 3: a car in the top ten.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Vacation. I would never regret that. You're going a little
- 5:54Speaker 2: too big on this.
- 5:54Speaker 6: TV. TV.
- 5:57Speaker 2: I'm out. Wow. I thought this was going to be easier. Clothes.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Just unworn clothes. I bought that sweater that I thought
- 6:04Speaker 2: I would wear.
- 6:05Speaker 4: I did think more expensive.
- 6:07Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah. 86% of people said they own clothes they've
- 6:11Speaker 3: never worn.
- 6:11Speaker 2: Do you own something you've never worn? Yeah, probably.
- 6:14Speaker 4: But also, I'm the queen of returns, though.
- 6:16Speaker 1: So my instant impulse buy that turns into regret, I'll
- 6:19Speaker 1: just go back and I'll return it.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Number two on the list, I thought was more interesting.
- 6:24Speaker 3: Juicers.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Nobody wants them once they get them.
- 6:28Speaker 2: I know, they're like, I want to make so much juice.
- 6:30Speaker 2: And then you're like, this is such a hassle. This
- 6:32Speaker 2: is too much work. I'm not doing this. Have you
- 6:34Speaker 2: impulse bought anything recently?
- 6:36Speaker 1: I'm going to pick up a camper later today.
- 6:38Speaker 2: That's right.
- 6:39Speaker 4: I mean, how much more can you get?
- 6:41Speaker 2: Text or give us a call. 317-663-9797.
- 6:45Speaker 6: Annie and Cole on Hank FM.
- 6:49Speaker 1: I thought I was crazy with my impulse buy. My
- 6:51Speaker 1: husband Rob and I were like, we're going to go
- 6:52Speaker 1: look at a camper last week.
- 6:54Speaker 4: And now we're picking one up. Today, but not the
- 6:57Speaker 4: only ones making impulse buys.
- 7:00Speaker 2: No, it's something we all do. You know what? Actually,
- 7:02Speaker 2: I was thinking. I have not made an impulse buy recently,
- 7:07Speaker 2: and that makes me a little sad.
- 7:08Speaker 4: Like you need to do one.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm due for one.
- 7:11Speaker 3: 317-663-9797 is the Armory Air text line where Don says,
- 7:16Speaker 3: My husband had dental work done, was still under anesthesia.
- 7:21Speaker 2: And bought a boat. A boat? So after getting his
- 7:25Speaker 2: teeth pulled, we went and picked up a boat.
- 7:28Speaker 4: I hope you like the boat, I guess. That's a
- 7:33Speaker 4: big impulse buy.
- 7:34Speaker 1: I know the list was like things like clothes and
- 7:36Speaker 1: we're over here like.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Boats, campers.
- 7:39Speaker 4: When we impulse, we impulse hard. Do you really want
- 7:41Speaker 4: to know?
- 7:42Speaker 2: Annie and Cole want to know.
- 7:44Speaker 1: What's something you've recently tried that had people just like, you've.
- 7:51Speaker 4: Never done that before?
- 7:52Speaker 1: Because I had my first chili cheese dog this weekend.
- 7:57Speaker 3: It's insane to me that you are in your 40s,
- 8:00Speaker 3: and you didn't at least ever have tried it once.
- 8:03Speaker 3: I guess you grew up in the Chicago area, so
- 8:05Speaker 3: you're probably always doing like a Chicago dog.
- 8:07Speaker 4: My sister, every time we get hot dogs, gets a
- 8:09Speaker 4: chili cheese dog. How did you not? I don't know.
- 8:12Speaker 1: I don't know. I never thought that I ever wanted
- 8:15Speaker 1: to eat this. This weekend, we went camping. We made
- 8:18Speaker 1: chili one night, and they're like, oh, we brought hot
- 8:20Speaker 1: dogs to make chili cheese dogs.
- 8:22Speaker 4: And I said, I've never had one before. And everybody
- 8:24Speaker 4: we were camping with was.
- 8:25Speaker 5: Like, oh.
- 8:26Speaker 2: Was this something that your husband knew about you?
- 8:29Speaker 1: No. He also was like, how have you never had
- 8:32Speaker 1: one before?
- 8:32Speaker 4: I'm like, I just never thought I wanted one.
- 8:33Speaker 2: You're always learning something new. I love that. Was it
- 8:36Speaker 2: life changing?
- 8:38Speaker 4: I don't want one anymore.
- 8:39Speaker 2: I was afraid you were going to say that. It
- 8:41Speaker 2: was too much.
- 8:42Speaker 4: There's too much going on there. I spilt it all
- 8:44Speaker 4: over my shirt.
- 8:46Speaker 3: As somebody who has always had them separately and then
- 8:48Speaker 3: to combine them, I could see kind of where you're
- 8:50Speaker 3: coming from.
- 8:50Speaker 4: I didn't get it.
- 8:52Speaker 2: It's kind of like a Midwest thing.
- 8:55Speaker 3: I think it's really popular in the Kansas City area, specifically.
- 8:59Speaker 2: The chili and cinnamon roll.
- 9:02Speaker 1: No.
- 9:03Speaker 2: It's like a thing.
- 9:04Speaker 3: It's not something I've ever tried. That was like the
- 9:06Speaker 3: first thing that popped in my brain when you started
- 9:08Speaker 3: talking about chili.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Now that you're talking about chili, I don't think I've
- 9:11Speaker 1: ever had chili other than just chili.
- 9:13Speaker 4: I don't even think I've had like chili cheese fries.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Well, I mean, kind of the same idea as the dog.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Maybe you would like the fries better? I don't know.
- 9:21Speaker 2: A little less going on?
- 9:22Speaker 1: I just didn't think it was so controversial of a
- 9:24Speaker 1: statement to say I had my first chili cheese dog
- 9:27Speaker 1: at 42, but it turned out to be. Everybody I
- 9:30Speaker 1: told this story to has given me the same look
- 9:32Speaker 1: you gave me. And I was like, okay, so is
- 9:35Speaker 1: there something like that in your life that is kind
- 9:37Speaker 1: of a comparison?
- 9:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:40Speaker 6: And cole text or give us a call 317-663-9797 hank
- 9:44Speaker 6: fm something you want to say give annie and cole
- 9:47Speaker 6: a call 317-663-9797 try.
- 9:52Speaker 1: To chili cheese dog for the first time at 42
- 9:54Speaker 1: this past weekend really freaked some people out so what's
- 9:57Speaker 1: something that maybe you waited a little too long to
- 10:00Speaker 1: try for the first time?
- 10:01Speaker 4: What's going on, Heather?
- 10:02Speaker 5: Well, up until recently, I had never had SpaghettiOs warmed up.
- 10:07Speaker 5: Like when I was a kid, we never put them
- 10:08Speaker 5: in the microwave. Half the time we ate them out
- 10:10Speaker 5: of the can. And I like, I... uh, despise them now.
- 10:15Speaker 5: And so my daughter was like, these are really good.
- 10:17Speaker 5: And my husband's like, yeah, you should try them. I'm like,
- 10:19Speaker 5: I used to have those all the time.
- 10:20Speaker 4: I don't like him.
- 10:22Speaker 5: And then they warmed them up and I'm like, what
- 10:23Speaker 5: are you doing?
- 10:24Speaker 4: Do you just not know that they were supposed to
- 10:26Speaker 4: be warmed up?
- 10:27Speaker 5: I was a kid. My mom didn't tell me to my,
- 10:30Speaker 5: you know, and me and my brother just sometimes, you know,
- 10:34Speaker 5: most times just ate them out of the can.
- 10:36Speaker 2: I can understand why you hate it, and that sounds.
- 10:39Speaker 4: Disgusting to me.
- 10:39Speaker 2: Yes, right?
- 10:40Speaker 5: They are horrible unless you warm them up.
- 10:42Speaker 3: Oh, man.
- 10:43Speaker 1: Did you eat the ones with meatballs or hot dogs cold?
- 10:47Speaker 4: Yes.
- 10:48Speaker 5: Spaghetti and meatballs?
- 10:49Speaker 1: Oh, no.
- 10:51Speaker 4: I know, right? Yeah, I'm an adult, though, who eats
- 10:55Speaker 4: SpaghettiOs way too frequently.
- 10:58Speaker 1: I have some in my pantry right now that I'm
- 11:00Speaker 1: thinking maybe I should eat for lunch today.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Warm, of course.
- 11:05Speaker 4: Definitely warm.
- 11:06Speaker 2: Always warm. Thanks, Heather.
- 11:07Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Have a great day.
- 11:09Speaker 3: If it makes you feel better, Susan on the Armory
- 11:12Speaker 3: Air text line said, 45 and never had a chili
- 11:14Speaker 3: cheese dog or chili cheese fries.
- 11:16Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 11:17Speaker 2: Don't do it. They weren't worth it. Yes, it is.
- 11:20Speaker 2: It's so good. Go do it today.
- 11:23Speaker 3: Taylor said, I never have tried a tenderloin sandwich until
- 11:27Speaker 3: I was 27.
- 11:29Speaker 4: Another one that I waited until I was older to
- 11:31Speaker 4: try and I also.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Don't get them. So good. I Googled the list here.
- 11:35Speaker 2: Just going to rapid fire. Have you done these? Have
- 11:38Speaker 2: you tried these things? Bloody Berry.
- 11:40Speaker 6: Yes.
- 11:41Speaker 4: Gross.
- 11:42Speaker 2: I'm with you. It's the tomato juice.
- 11:43Speaker 4: I just want the fixings on top.
- 11:45Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 11:45Speaker 2: Sushi.
- 11:46Speaker 6: Yes.
- 11:46Speaker 2: Love sushi.
- 11:47Speaker 3: So many people, though, have never tried sushi. They're afraid
- 11:49Speaker 3: to try it because they think it's all raw and
- 11:51Speaker 3: not necessarily. This one actually was going to be mine
- 11:55Speaker 3: on my list.
- 11:55Speaker 2: A deep fried Oreo.
- 11:56Speaker 5: Yes.
- 11:57Speaker 2: I've never had deep fried Oreo. White Castle Slider.
- 12:00Speaker 6: Yes.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Pineapple on pizza.
- 12:01Speaker 6: Yes.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Krispy Kreme donut. Yes. Gas station hot dog.
- 12:06Speaker 3: Regrettably yes okay how about some of like experiences roller
- 12:09Speaker 3: coaster yeah karaoke in public yes camping in a tent
- 12:13Speaker 3: oh yeah.
- 12:13Speaker 4: But not anymore baby a.
- 12:16Speaker 3: Massage yes a solo trip yeah a tattoo.
- 12:21Speaker 1: No do you have one nope okay are we getting
- 12:25Speaker 1: tattoos for your birthday.
- 12:26Speaker 6: Today annie and cole 97.1 hank fm you know what
- 12:29Speaker 6: i mean yeah yeah yeah.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Yeah A few headlines to share with you this morning.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Dictionary.com's word of the year is.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Maxing.
- 12:43Speaker 4: I don't even know how to use that word correctly.
- 12:46Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not a word that I have ever used
- 12:50Speaker 3: ever in my life until right now. It is an
- 12:52Speaker 3: internet slang term that's best used Um, just about every
- 12:56Speaker 3: context to convey you're doing something to the fullest or
- 12:59Speaker 3: optimizing it as much as possible. Like maybe you've been
- 13:03Speaker 3: really tired recently, so you're going to do some sleep maxing.
- 13:06Speaker 4: I'm just going to nap real hard.
- 13:09Speaker 6: Yes.
- 13:09Speaker 2: It is basically how you use it. I'm probably, you know,
- 13:16Speaker 2: I never feel old until we do this. Someone. Yeah.
- 13:20Speaker 2: I'm like, no, that's not it.
- 13:21Speaker 5: Whatever.
- 13:21Speaker 3: Um, The iPhone duo just came out last Friday. You know,
- 13:26Speaker 3: the iPhone flip phone that I know you Android users
- 13:29Speaker 3: have had for a hundred years or whatever.
- 13:31Speaker 2: It's just a few days old. The screen is already cracking.
- 13:36Speaker 3: It's unclear if it's a bad batch or a design flaw,
- 13:40Speaker 3: but yeah, it's not working.
- 13:41Speaker 4: I love that for you iPhone users. I love it
- 13:44Speaker 4: for you.
- 13:44Speaker 2: How about this?
- 13:45Speaker 1: Music is getting less sad in 2026.
- 13:49Speaker 5: Okay.
- 13:50Speaker 3: I am usually for that. I am a happy music person,
- 13:54Speaker 3: not a sad music person.
- 13:55Speaker 4: Yeah, sad music is where it's at.
- 13:56Speaker 1: It's not getting any better, though. It's not that we're
- 13:57Speaker 1: getting happier. It's just we're getting more angry.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Oh, no.
- 14:01Speaker 4: More angry lyrics are popping up in music this year.
- 14:04Speaker 2: It's a great way to start my day. 97.1 Hank FM.
