Latest / The Slippery Slope / Senator PAYMAN wants a Two State Solution. Is she being honest with the Australian electorate?
Transcript
- 0:08low. Hi, I'm Jay Fallon.
- 0:12Thanks for listening to the Slippery Slope.
- 0:13So today is the 3rd of July 2024.
- 0:17So big story that's happened here in Australia.
- 0:21We've had a senator. Her last name is Payment,
- 0:23Senator Payment. She is originally from
- 0:27Afghanistan and she has been making waves or causing trouble,
- 0:32whichever way you want to look at it.
- 0:34She's a senator and she's been asking, well, she's been
- 0:38crossing the floor and going with a emotion which put forward
- 0:42by the Greens to recognise Palestine or the state of
- 0:47Palestine. Because you know, this is what
- 0:49the Greens are all about, issues that have got nothing to do with
- 0:52Australia and but they want to recognise an independent state
- 0:57of Palestine. And basically they're they're
- 1:00calling for A2 state solution. And I'll get more into that
- 1:04later on, but this story says that Labour senator could remain
- 1:08in party despite defiance on Palestinian recognition.
- 1:12Now first, I want to say that you shouldn't surprise us that
- 1:16we've had these issues. We've got these issues going on.
- 1:19We invite, we allow these people groups to come into our nation
- 1:24and I think it's it's not a bad thing.
- 1:26However, we fail to recognise that if we just keep allowing
- 1:31inordinate amounts of these people with specific ideologies
- 1:36to come into this nation and then we then we behave surprised
- 1:41when they want to change the free society that they've come
- 1:44into. They like the free society.
- 1:45They come here because they're free.
- 1:46Because, you know, she was back in Afghanistan.
- 1:48She'd have to, to put a nicely shut her mouth and pull her head
- 1:51in because she would have been dead by now.
- 1:54But she comes to Australia. She likes her freedom.
- 1:56She enjoys the freedom of Australia.
- 1:58She gets voted in as a senator and now she's standing up for
- 2:04Palestine, standing up, voting with the Greens, crossing the
- 2:08floor, voting with the Greens for A2 state solution to
- 2:12recognise Palestine as a separate state, something that
- 2:15in reality's got nothing to do with Australia.
- 2:18I don't think it's a good thing for Australia to do from a
- 2:20biblical point of view. But regardless of that, it's,
- 2:25it's still got nothing to do with Australia.
- 2:27She also accused Israel of committing genocide in this war.
- 2:32So, you know, let's completely forget that there was peace.
- 2:37There was nothing happening. The Israelis weren't out
- 2:39attacking the so-called Palestinian people.
- 2:42But you know, you know, when they decided to in October of
- 2:46last year, no one attack unprovoked the Israeli nation
- 2:51and killed over 1000. Well, they, they took all this
- 2:53hostages, they killed over 1000 people.
- 2:57You know, Israel was supposed to just forget that.
- 3:00They were supposed to ignore that and just keep going on and
- 3:04just accept it and say, oh, thanks for doing that.
- 3:07And obviously it's our fault because we want to exist as a
- 3:12nation. So this is the kind of person
- 3:14that we're dealing with. And, you know, we, I read these
- 3:17stories, I think, well, where did we think we're going?
- 3:19Because now we have calls from people saying that, OK, well,
- 3:24even people like this payment saying that she's possibly
- 3:28thinking about or other groups saying, well, she could possibly
- 3:31join a Muslim party. And there's concerns that we
- 3:35will have Muslim groups forming Muslim parties.
- 3:38And, but I think I said they're going, where did you think all
- 3:42this was going? We keep, we constantly invite
- 3:45people whose own beliefs and own ideologies go completely against
- 3:52the Judeo Christian beliefs that this nation was built upon, that
- 3:59it was constructed upon. And then we wonder why they
- 4:03don't want to, you know, they, they like this nation, but then
- 4:06they want to change it because they don't appreciate the, the
- 4:09Judeo Christian beliefs that form the foundation of this
- 4:13nation. So we have people like this
- 4:15Senator Payment. So she's crossed the floor to
- 4:19vote against her party. On a motion related to
- 4:22Palestinian recognition. The Greens moved a motion
- 4:26calling for the Senate to recognise the State of
- 4:28Palestine. Labour and the Coalition both
- 4:31tried to amend that motion to add qualifications, but neither
- 4:37party supported the others attempted in.
- 4:39Both failed throughout. Senator payments sat in the
- 4:42chamber, in the advisors box and did not participate in votes.
- 4:47But when the final vote came on the Greens motion, she stood up
- 4:51and voted with the Greens and crossbench senators Lydia Thorpe
- 4:56and David Pocock in support of recognition.
- 5:00Lidia Thorpe is the biggest traitor through this nation, and
- 5:04I say that because she claims to be indigenous as well.
- 5:07That's why I think she's the biggest traitor.
- 5:11An educated trailer. It is the first time a Labour
- 5:14politician has crossed the floor while Labour is in government
- 5:18since 1988. Labor Party rules state that all
- 5:22members must vote in line with the position taken by the Labour
- 5:25caucus. It is then up to the caucus to
- 5:29to decide on the penalty, which can include suspension from the
- 5:32caucus. Expulsion from the Labor Party
- 5:35itself is a matter for the party's national executive.
- 5:39Senate Payment has made several public statements in recent
- 5:43weeks in support of the Palestinian cause and criticised
- 5:47her parties position in an opinion piece published in Al
- 5:52Jazeera last week. Isn't it great?
- 5:54Isn't it great that we've got an Australian and I'll exciting
- 5:58quotation marks, an Australian politician being published in Al
- 6:03Jazeera? Yeah, in a press conference held
- 6:07immediately after the vote. Senator Payman, remember she's
- 6:10from Afghanistan, said she did not decide how she would vote
- 6:14until she was sitting in the chamber immediately before it.
- 6:19OK. It was the most difficult
- 6:22decision I've had to make and although each step I took across
- 6:25the Senate floor felt like a mile, I know I did not walk
- 6:29alone, she said. Ohhhhh, so courageous.
- 6:32We cannot believe in two state solutions and only recognise
- 6:36one. This is this is what they want,
- 6:40a two state solution. All these naughties because
- 6:45either they don't know history or they just want to ignore
- 6:49history. When, when these people talk
- 6:52about two state solutions, but in the same breath, they'll,
- 6:57they'll say from the river to the sea, Palestine must be free,
- 7:02which doesn't mean two state solution.
- 7:04It means one state, Palestine state and the annihilation of
- 7:07the Jewish people. That's what it means.
- 7:09They, they don't really want a two state solution anyway.
- 7:14So she says, Yep, we cannot believe it too.
- 7:16Solution Payment said she still held the core values of the
- 7:20Labor Party, the core values and hoped to remain.
- 7:24But she said it had been clear, made clear to her that expulsion
- 7:28from the party was a risk if she crossed the floor.
- 7:31I hold Labour values and blah, blah, blah.
- 7:34She said she had not spoken to the Prime Minister about the
- 7:36vote. She has since then, but since
- 7:38this story anyway. So there it is, the Greens, the
- 7:43Greens who you know, if we keep following, if we keep allowing,
- 7:47if we keep voting and I say we I'm not not that I'm voting them
- 7:51in, but if the people out here in Australia are keep voting,
- 7:55the Greens in our country is going to get it's just going to
- 7:59go down the garden path. The Greens have no idea.
- 8:02They are full of people ideologies.
- 8:06That's have no place, no place in a modern functioning society.
- 8:14OK, now only if you want to take our our nation down the path of
- 8:20of having a despot as a leader of Marxism.
- 8:24Only if you want to go down that path.
- 8:27Well then you you should keep voting for the Greens.
- 8:29Otherwise, if you don't want to be ruled by a despot, well then
- 8:35stop voting for the Greens. So I want to go into this.
- 8:38Why? So the senator says she's making
- 8:42it like, you know, A2 state solution.
- 8:44That's all we want. From the river to the sea,
- 8:46Palestine will be free. Yippie Kaye 2 state solution
- 8:51everyone. That's what I want.
- 8:53So I'm going to bring something up.
- 8:54I'll bring it up on the screens so you can all check it out.
- 8:59If if you're following along and we'll, we'll, we'll have a look
- 9:04at, you know, at the two state solution and, and how well this
- 9:08has gone. So this this article.
- 9:13So this is from the Law and Law and societymagazine.com.
- 9:18OK, the title, this came out last year.
- 9:22How Palestine rejected, rejected offer to have its own state five
- 9:28times in the past five times, not once, not twice, not 3 * 5
- 9:34times. They rejected, rejected it.
- 9:37OK, let's go through the times. OK, so I'll just read this whole
- 9:42lot. It says if Israel just to lay
- 9:44out the Palestinians to have a state of their own, there would
- 9:47be peace in the Middle East, right?
- 9:50That's what they tell you, That's what the Greens tell you.
- 9:52That's what this payment tells you.
- 9:53She's from Afghanistan. She knows all too well how all
- 9:58is lame wants is peace. That's why Afghanistan is such a
- 10:02great, multifaceted country. That's why its government is so
- 10:08well functioning. Because all Islam stands for is
- 10:11peace and harmony. Oh, that's what you hear from
- 10:17ambassadors, European diplomats and most college professors,
- 10:21because they're not really professors anyway.
- 10:23But what if I told you that Israel had already offered the
- 10:26Palestinians a state of their own, and not just once, but on
- 10:30five separate occasions? Don't believe me?
- 10:32Let's review the record. So after the breakup, After the
- 10:37breakup of the Ottoman Empire following World War One, Britain
- 10:41took control of most of the Middle East, including the area
- 10:45that constitutes the modern Israel. 17 years later, in the
- 10:491936, the Arabs rebelled against the British and against the
- 10:55Jewish neighbours. The British formed a task force,
- 10:59the Appeal Commission, to study the cause of the rebellion.
- 11:03The Commission concluded, they've concluded back then that
- 11:07the reason for the violence was that the two peoples, Jews and
- 11:11Arabs wanted to govern the same land.
- 11:14The answer they decided, the Peel Commission concluded, would
- 11:18be to create two independent states, one for the Jews and one
- 11:23for the for the downtrodden Arabs.
- 11:25Because, you know, there's only a couple of Arabs, couple of
- 11:28Arab nations, a couple of Muslim nations.
- 11:30So we have to give them a bit more land.
- 11:31So one for the Jews and one for the Arabs are two state
- 11:35solution. Ah, so the first rejection.
- 11:39The suggested split was heavily in favour of the Arabs.
- 11:43The British offered them 80% of the disputed territory and the
- 11:48Jews the remaining 20%. Yet despite the tiny size of
- 11:53their proposed state, the Jews voted to accept the offer.
- 11:56They voted to accept it, the Jews did.
- 11:59But the Arabs rejected it and returned, resumed their
- 12:03violence, rebellion. OK, so the second, the second
- 12:07rejection will go through. OK, So 10 years later, in 1947,
- 12:11the British asked the United Nations to find a new solution
- 12:14to the continuing tensions. Like the Peel Commission, the UN
- 12:19decided that the best way to resolve the conflict was to
- 12:23divide the land. In November 1947, the UN voted
- 12:27to create two states. So Israel was actually formed
- 12:31officially in 19. The new modern state of Israel
- 12:33formed in 1948, but so this is still going ahead leading up to
- 12:38that formation. So 1947 they're trying they've
- 12:42come the UN in all their wisdom because you know, they're so
- 12:44great and wise. They said, hey, two state
- 12:46solution. That's the answer.
- 12:48I've never heard that before. OK, it's only been done tried
- 12:50once before got rejected second time again the Jews accepted the
- 12:54offer and again the Arabs rejected it.
- 12:56Now I'll find I'll bring up another source here as well.
- 13:00This is from historyskills.com says November 29, 1947, the UN
- 13:06General Assembly voted on the partition plan.
- 13:09It was approved with 33 votes in favour, 13 against, N10
- 13:13abstentions. The Jewish leadership in
- 13:16Palestine, seeing this as a pragmatic step towards realising
- 13:20the dream of Jewish homeland, accepted the plan.
- 13:23This is the two state solution plan, the second one.
- 13:25However, the Arab leadership, both in Palestine and in the
- 13:29surrounding Arab states, rejected the proposal, viewing
- 13:32it as an imposition on the rights of the majority Arab
- 13:36population in Palestine. The Declaration of the State of
- 13:40Israel on May 14, 1948 was a momentous event, marking the
- 13:45culmination of decades of Jewish nationalist aspirations and the
- 13:48establishment of a Jewish homeland.
- 13:51David Ben Gurion, the head of the Jewish Agency, made the
- 13:54declaration in a ceremony held at Tel Aviv Museum.
- 13:59OK, so The thing is, so they've called.
- 14:01They've called that. So this happened in 1948.
- 14:06So this was the 2nd rejection. The UN, the UN voted to create
- 14:1022 states. Again the Jews accepted the
- 14:12offer and again the Arabs rejected it.
- 14:15Only this time they did not. They did so by launching an all
- 14:18out war. This is the second rejection and
- 14:21I believe the all out war happened just after in 1948 when
- 14:25Israel was officially formed, I think it was in May 1948.
- 14:30Jordan is Jordan, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria joined the
- 14:35conflict, but they failed. They failed.
- 14:38Israel could hardly think. Israel had a couple of real
- 14:42crappy little planes. They weren't a proper, they
- 14:45weren't a proper nation. They didn't have virtually
- 14:48nothing. They have all these big nations
- 14:50coming against them and what do you know, they lost.
- 14:54All these countries lost, but they failed.
- 14:57Israel won the war and got on with the business of building a
- 15:01new nation. Most of the land set aside by
- 15:04the UM foreign Arab state, the West Bank and E Jerusalem became
- 15:08occupied territory occupied not by Israel but by Jordan.
- 15:12O this twice, twice two state solution twice.
- 15:17OK 3rd rejection. 20 years later, in 1967, the Arabs, led
- 15:21this time by Egypt and joined by Syria and Jordan, once again
- 15:24sought to destroy the Jewish state.
- 15:27The 1967 conflict known as the Six Day War ended in a stunning
- 15:32victory for Israel. Jerusalem and the West Bank, as
- 15:35well as the area known as the Gaza Strip, fell into Israel's
- 15:39hands. The government split over what
- 15:41to do with this new territory. Half wanted to return the West
- 15:44Bank to Jordan and Gaza to Egypt in exchange for peace.
- 15:48That's what that's what the Israelis wanted to do.
- 15:51The other half wanted to give it to the regions Arabs who had
- 15:55begun referencing to themselves as the Palestinians.
- 15:57Because before that they weren't Palestinians, they were Arabs.
- 16:00Funny enough, in the hope so they're referencing themselves
- 16:04as Palestinians in the hope that they would ultimately build
- 16:07their own state there. Neither initiative got very far.
- 16:10A few months later the Arab League met in Sudan and issued
- 16:14its infamous three Nos. No peace with Israel, no
- 16:19recognition of Israel, no negotiations with Israel again
- 16:24as two state solution was dismissed by the Arabs.
- 16:28Third time, 4th rejection. In 2000 Israel Prime Minister
- 16:35Eihab Barack met at Camp David Camp Davids in America so it
- 16:40Camp David with Palestinian Liberation Organisation chairman
- 16:44NASA Arafat to conclude a new two state plan.
- 16:49Barack offered Arafat a Palestinian state in all of Gaza
- 16:54and 94% of the West Bank with E Jerusalem as its capital.
- 17:00But the Palestinian leader rejected the offer in the words
- 17:05of U.S. President Bill Clinton.
- 17:07Bill Clinton aces Arafat was here 14 days and said no to
- 17:14everything. No to everything.
- 17:17Instead, the Palestinians launched a bloody wave of
- 17:20suicide bombings that killed over 1000 Israelis and maimed
- 17:25thousands more on buses, in wedding halls and in pizza
- 17:28parlours. The 5th rejection in 2000 and
- 17:32eight, 2008. OK, Israel tried yet again.
- 17:37Prime Minister Ihad Omar went even further than Ihad Barack
- 17:42had, expanding the peace officer, peace officer, the
- 17:46peace offer to include additional land to sweeten the
- 17:50deal. Like his predecessor, the new
- 17:52Palestinian leader, Mahmoud Abbas turned the deal down.
- 18:01When these people come with this disingenuous offer, this denial,
- 18:07disingenuous motion that the Greens put forward to recognise
- 18:11Palestine as a state, the saying we must have a two state
- 18:16solution. The Palestinian, these people
- 18:20who call themselves, reference themselves as Palestinian, do
- 18:23not want a A2 state solution. They want their normalisation of
- 18:29Jews. That's why if you look at
- 18:32history, that's why there's such a close connection to Muslims
- 18:36and Nazis. They're, they're not being
- 18:39honest with you and they're not being honest with themselves.
- 18:43Either they don't know the truth or they do know the truth and
- 18:46they're just lying. OK, My opinion is Senator Payman
- 18:52is lying to the people of Australia.
- 18:54She knows very well that the Palestinian people, the Arabs
- 18:57who call themselves Palatines, Palestinians don't want a two
- 19:01state solution. She knows very well because she
- 19:04says from the river to the sea Palestine will be free.
- 19:08She knows very well that all they want is the death and
- 19:12destruction of the state of Israel.
- 19:16Don't be fooled by the rhetoric coming from people like Payman
- 19:20or the Greens. Anyway, that's my opinion.
- 19:24I'm Jay Fallon. Thanks for listening to the
- 19:25Slippery Slope. And save
