- 1:13Ron Meyers: If he starts something in you, my friend, he will see it to completion as long as you don't quit.
- 1:19Ron Meyers: So how did a young goofball like me growing up in Iowa end up on the Gulf Coast?
- 1:26Ron Meyers: How did I create an event that has become one of the top 20 tourism events in the Southeast?
- 1:32Ron Meyers: Well, I'm going to share this with you today, not to toot my own horn, but to encourage you.
- 1:38Ron Meyers: Because if you're like me, you have dreams, you have goals, you have talents, you don't want to always go along with the crowd.

- 2:22Ron Meyers: And friends, when we search for our unique, one of a kind purpose, God begins to put things in order.
- 2:30Ron Meyers: Things start to happen.
- 2:32Ron Meyers: Now, before I go into that, I have queued up a podcast that was sent to me by a friend and it blew me away.
- 2:39Ron Meyers: I got to listen to a few people that talked about my event and the history of it.
- 2:45Ron Meyers: I got excited, so I want to share that with you today.
- 2:50Ron Meyers: Let's take a deep dive into what the Christmas City Gift Show is all about.
- 2:57Beverly: Ready for some holiday magic?
- 2:59Terri: Always.
- 2:59Beverly: Okay, good.
- 3:00Beverly: Because today we're going deep on the Ron Myers Christmas City Gift Show.
- 3:06Terri: Oh, yeah.
- 3:06Beverly: This is a This is a Mississippi Gulf Coast thing, you know.
- 3:10Beverly: It's been going on for like over 40 years.
- 3:13Terri: Yeah.
- 3:13Beverly: Crazy.
- 3:13Beverly: So we've got like all kinds of sources from like their website to, you know, applications for vendors.
- 3:21Terri: Oh, wow.
- 3:21Beverly: We've got sponsor info.
- 3:23Beverly: We've even got articles about like how it started and you know how it affects the community.
- 3:27Terri: It's become a real institution down there.
- 3:29Beverly: Yeah, it really has.
- 3:30Beverly: So the mission today is to give you the full picture.
- 3:33Beverly: We're gonna start with the guy who started it all.
- 3:35Terri: Ron Myers.
- 3:36Terri: Yeah, Ron Myers.
- 3:38Beverly: And then we're gonna go all the way to like what it's like to shop there.
- 3:42Terri: That's what I'm talking about.
- 3:46Beverly: Oh, might be convinced already.
- 3:47Beverly: Well, stay tuned, you know.
- 3:48Terri: All right.
- 3:49Beverly: Let's see.
- 3:49Beverly: So first up, Ron Myers, the man, the myth, the legend.
- 3:53Terri: He had an interesting start.
- 3:54Terri: Started in the Air Force.
- 3:56Beverly: Oh, yeah, I read that.
- 3:57Terri: And somehow ended up putting together like over 250 events across the Gulf South.
- 4:03Terri: It's crazy, right?
- 4:04Terri: I mean, what a change.
- 4:05Terri: Total career pivot.
- 4:06Beverly: And and get this, he's originally from Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
- 4:10Terri: No way.
- 4:10Terri: So he's like a fish out of water down there.
- 4:12Beverly: Exactly.
- 4:12Beverly: Which I think makes it even more interesting, you know?
- 4:15Terri: Totally.
- 4:15Terri: It shows real vision, you know, to create something so unique in a place that's like so different from where you started.
- 4:23Beverly: Totally.
- 4:23Beverly: Okay, so let's talk about Christmas City gift show.
- 4:26Beverly: This is no like ordinary craft fair.
- 4:29Terri: Oh no, it's massive.
- 4:30Beverly: It's huge.
- 4:31Beverly: Like picture this the Coast Convention Center.
- 4:34Terri: Oh, wow.
- 4:35Beverly: Over 300 booths.
- 4:37Beverly: You can find anything there.
- 4:38Beverly: I mean, anything.
- 4:40Terri: I heard it's the place to go for unique gifts.
- 4:42Beverly: Yeah.
- 4:42Beverly: Like for those people who are impossible to shop for.
- 4:45Terri: Yeah, yeah.
- 4:46Terri: You know, the the ones who have everything.
- 4:47Beverly: You'll find something for them there.
- 4:49Terri: I bet.
- 4:49Beverly: But they also have this thing, shopper's paradise ticket.
- 4:52Terri: Ooh.
- 4:53Beverly: And if you've got little ones, Breakfast with Santa, Saturday morning, the whole Santa experience.
- 5:00Terri: Oh, that's so cute.
- 5:00Terri: Photos and all that.
- 5:01Terri: Fine.
- 5:02Beverly: Yeah.
- 5:02Beverly: It's the it's the whole thing.
- 5:04Terri: Sounds like a great way to kick off a day of shopping.
- 5:06Beverly: Now, Shopper's Paradise.
- 5:07Beverly: This is where things get interesting.
- 5:09Beverly: Friday night.
- 5:10Beverly: Adults only.
- 5:12Terri: Ooh, I like the thought of that.
- 5:13Beverly: Live music, wine, beer.
- 5:16Beverly: They even have a silent auction.
- 5:18Terri: Wow.
- 5:19Terri: They've really thought of everything.
- 5:20Beverly: They really have.
- 5:21Beverly: It's like a whole different vibe, like a more like, I don't know, sophisticated shopping experience.
- 5:27Terri: Right.
- 5:27Terri: Sip and shop, but make it holiday themed.
- 5:30Beverly: Exactly.
- 5:31Beverly: But it's not just about the shopping at this thing.
- 5:33Beverly: Like they really focus on making the whole experience enjoyable for everyone.
- 5:38Terri: That's important.
- 5:39Terri: It's gotta be comfortable.
- 5:40Beverly: Right.
- 5:40Beverly: So in 2020, they actually widened the aisles.
- 5:43Terri: Oh, that's smart.
- 5:44Beverly: So you don't feel so like crammed in, even when it's crowded.
- 5:48Terri: Especially with all those bags.
- 5:49Terri: You need room to maneuver.
- 5:51Beverly: Exactly.
- 5:52Terri: They're really going all out to create a family-friendly atmosphere.
- 5:55Beverly: Yeah, it's definitely a multi-generational event, you know?
- 5:58Terri: I love that.
- 5:59Terri: It becomes a tradition.
- 6:00Beverly: Totally.
- 6:00Beverly: Okay, but let's talk about the bigger picture.
- 6:03Terri: Okay, the impact, yeah.
- 6:04Beverly: The impact.
- 6:05Beverly: This event, it doesn't just spread holiday cheer, it actually gives back to the community in a big way.
- 6:12Terri: Really?
- 6:12Terri: How so?
- 6:13Beverly: So get this Ron Myers Ministries.
- 6:16Beverly: It's entirely funded by this Christmas show.
- 6:20Terri: Wow.
- 6:20Terri: That's impressive.
- 6:22Beverly: Isn't that amazing?
- 6:22Beverly: So, like every purchase you make, every ticket you buy, it goes towards their charities.
- 6:27Terri: That's incredible.
- 6:28Terri: What kind of charities do they support?
- 6:29Beverly: Oh, all kinds.
- 6:30Beverly: Christian rehab centers.
- 6:31Beverly: Oh, wow.
- 6:32Beverly: Anti-trafficking organizations, missions, podcasts that promote like good values.
- 6:39Terri: That's amazing.
- 6:39Beverly: They do a lot.
- 6:40Terri: So you're not just buying gifts, you're contributing to something meaningful.
- 6:44Beverly: Exactly.
- 6:44Beverly: It's like built-in giving back, you know?
- 6:46Terri: I love that.
- 6:47Terri: It adds another layer to the whole experience.
- 6:49Beverly: Totally.
- 6:50Beverly: And it's not just the charity aspect.
- 6:52Beverly: We read an article about how this event is like a big economic boost for the Gulf Coast, especially after the summer tourism season ends.
- 6:59Terri: Right.
- 6:59Terri: Because things tend to slow down after the summer rush.
- 7:02Beverly: Right.
- 7:02Beverly: So this event brings in people from all over.
- 7:06Terri: Spending money at hotels, restaurants, local shops.
- 7:09Beverly: Exactly.
- 7:09Beverly: It's a win-win for everyone.
- 7:11Beverly: And get this, it's actually considered one of the top 20 tourism events in the Southeast.
- 7:17Terri: Really?
- 7:17Terri: Wow.
- 7:18Terri: That's a big deal.
- 7:19Beverly: Yeah, it's pretty impressive.
- 7:20Terri: It's come a long way from a local gift show.
- 7:22Beverly: It really has.
- 7:23Beverly: But okay, let's circle back to this shopper's paradise thing.
- 7:27Terri: Yes.
- 7:27Terri: Tell me more.
- 7:28Beverly: It's not your average shopping spree, it's more of a whole experience.
- 7:33Beverly: Like picture yourself with a glass of wine.
- 7:36Terri: Ooh, I like where this is going.
- 7:37Beverly: Browsing all these amazing handcrafted goods.
- 7:41Terri: While listening to live music.
- 7:43Beverly: Yes.
- 7:43Beverly: And there are door prizes.
- 7:45Beverly: And all the while you know you're supporting local businesses and charities.
- 7:49Terri: It's like the perfect combination of holiday indulgence and doing good.
- 7:53Beverly: Exactly.
- 7:54Beverly: I'm kind of sold myself now.
- 7:56Terri: Me too.
- 7:56Terri: But you know, we've talked a lot about the shoppers.
- 7:59Terri: What about the people selling all this amazing stuff?
- 8:02Beverly: Oh, the vendors.
- 8:03Terri: Yeah.
- 8:03Terri: What's it like to be on the other side of the booth?
- 8:05Beverly: That's a great question.
- 8:06Beverly: Let's dive into that next.
- 8:08Terri: So, you know, the vendor application actually gives us some insight into what it takes to be a part of this whole thing.
- 8:14Beverly: Oh, really?
- 8:14Beverly: So it's not just like show up and sell your stuff.
- 8:17Terri: No, no, no.
- 8:17Terri: They've got like a whole selection process.
- 8:20Beverly: Interesting.
- 8:21Terri: They want to make sure it's you know a really good experience for the shoppers that there's variety, that the stuff is, you know, high quality.
- 8:28Beverly: So they're curating it.
- 8:29Beverly: It's not just any old craft fair.
- 8:31Terri: Exactly.
- 8:31Terri: Like you have to submit detailed descriptions of your products.
- 8:36Beverly: Oh wow.
- 8:36Terri: Photos of your like booth setup, even like examples of your pricing.
- 8:41Beverly: Wow.
- 8:42Beverly: They're serious about this.
- 8:43Beverly: So they really are going for that whole like magical holiday shopping experience.
- 8:48Terri: Yeah.
- 8:49Terri: Yeah.
- 8:49Terri: And get this, they actually ask vendors to donate like a $25 gift certificate.
- 8:55Beverly: Oh, for what?
- 8:56Terri: For door prizes.
- 8:57Beverly: That's a good idea.
- 8:58Terri: It is, right?
- 8:59Terri: Gets people excited.
- 9:00Beverly: And it's good for the vendors too.
- 9:02Terri: Yeah, totally.
- 9:02Terri: More exposure.
- 9:04Beverly: And it kind of creates that sense of community, you know?
- 9:06Terri: Absolutely.
- 9:06Terri: They're really good at that, like promoting that community feel.
- 9:09Beverly: Yeah.
- 9:09Beverly: It's like everyone's in it together.
- 9:11Beverly: Oh, and I noticed they offer to mail vendors like promotional stuff.
- 9:15Terri: Really?
- 9:15Beverly: Yeah.
- 9:15Beverly: So they can like hand them out at other events.
- 9:18Terri: That's smart.
- 9:18Beverly: That's really smart marketing, both for the show and for the vendors.
- 9:21Terri: Totally.
- 9:22Terri: More exposure for everyone.
- 9:23Terri: Okay, but let's let's get into the nitty-gritty.
- 9:26Beverly: It's a chance to connect directly with customers, which you just can't do online, you know?
- 9:31Terri: Aaron Ross Powell Exactly.
- 9:32Terri: And you know, people are in that holiday shopping mood.
- 9:35Terri: They're looking for special gifts, they're more open to trying new things.
- 9:39Beverly: It's prime time for those small businesses and artisans to really shine.
- 9:42Beverly: Trevor Burrus, Jr.
- 9:43Terri: Absolutely.
- 9:43Terri: It's their time to shine.
- 9:44Terri: And I think there's also like this sense of community among the vendors.
- 9:49Terri: Well, yeah, for sure.
- 9:50Terri: Like they're all in it together, supporting each other.
- 9:53Beverly: It's like a team effort, you know?
- 9:55Terri: Totally.
- 9:55Terri: And for a lot of these small local businesses, these events are everything.
- 10:00Beverly: Yeah, it's their bread and butter.
- 10:02Terri: It's how they connect with their customers, build their brand.
- 10:04Beverly: It's the heart of entrepreneurship, and that adds another dimension to this whole Christmas City gift show thing, you know?
- 10:12Terri: Definitely.
- 10:12Terri: You're not just buying a product, you're supporting someone's dream.
- 10:15Beverly: Exactly.
- 10:16Beverly: And that human connection is so important, especially during the holidays.
- 10:20Terri: Totally.
- 10:20Terri: It's about so much more than just checking things off your shopping list.
- 10:25Beverly: It's about the experience, the connection, the community.
- 10:27Terri: Exactly.
- 10:28Terri: So we've talked about like the present-day stuff.
- 10:31Terri: But this event has been going on for a while, right?
- 10:34Beverly: It has.
- 10:34Beverly: Do you remember how long?
- 10:36Terri: Forty-one years.
- 10:38Beverly: Forty one years.
- 10:38Terri: Can you believe that?
- 10:40Terri: Over four decades of holiday cheer.
- 10:43Beverly: That's amazing.
- 10:45Terri: It really is.
- 10:46Terri: It just goes to show how popular this thing is.
- 10:48Beverly: It's become a tradition.
- 10:50Terri: And you know, it's not like they've just been doing the same thing over and over.
- 10:53Beverly: Right.
- 10:53Beverly: They've been evolving, changing with the times.
- 10:56Terri: Exactly.
- 10:56Terri: Like that shopper's paradise thing.
- 10:58Terri: That started in 2016, I think.
- 11:00Beverly: Yeah.
- 11:00Beverly: And it's been a huge hit.
- 11:02Terri: And those wider aisles.
- 11:03Beverly: Yeah.
- 11:03Beverly: That was 2020.
- 11:05Terri: Smart move.
- 11:05Beverly: They're making it better every year.
- 11:07Terri: Exactly.
- 11:08Terri: That's how you keep people coming back.
- 11:09Terri: I wish we had some like stories from past shows, you know, anecdotes from shoppers or vendors.
- 11:17Beverly: I know, right?
- 11:17Beverly: Can you imagine all the memories that have been made there?
- 11:20Beverly: Like the ribbon cutting ceremony every year where Santa actually cuts the ribbon.
- 11:25Terri: Oh, I bet the kids love that.
- 11:26Beverly: Oh, I bet.
- 11:27Beverly: It's probably a core memory for some of those kids.
- 11:29Terri: Totally.
- 11:29Terri: Yeah.
- 11:29Terri: And then there's Breakfast with Santa on Saturday morning.
- 11:32Terri: Smart move for the parents, you know.
- 11:34Terri: Keeps the kids entertained, really shop.
- 11:37Beverly: Genius.
- 11:37Beverly: Strategic parenting at its finest.
- 11:39Beverly: And then Shopper's Paradise on Friday night for the adults.
- 11:43Terri: Live music, wine.
- 11:45Terri: It's a whole vibe.
- 11:46Beverly: It is.
- 11:46Beverly: But you know, sometimes it's the unplanned moments that are the most memorable.
- 11:50Terri: Oh, absolutely.
- 11:50Terri: Those chance encounters, the unexpected finds.
- 11:53Beverly: Talking to the vendors, hearing their stories.
- 11:56Terri: That's what makes it special, that human connection.
- 11:58Beverly: And Ron Myers has clearly created something really special here.
- 12:01Beverly: It's not just a gift show.
- 12:02Terri: No, it's an experience.
- 12:03Beverly: It's a reflection of the community.
- 12:05Beverly: Yeah.
- 12:05Beverly: Of the spirit of the Gulf Coast.
- 12:07Terri: And you know, as we're talking about all this, I'm struck by how much personality this event has.
- 12:13Terri: It's not just some generic holiday market.
- 12:17Beverly: Right.
- 12:17Beverly: It's got charm, it's got character, it's got heart.
- 12:20Terri: It's Ron Myers himself.
- 12:21Terri: Yeah.
- 12:22Terri: His energy, his vision.
- 12:24Beverly: Totally.
- 12:24Beverly: And his dedication to giving back.
- 12:26Terri: It's a great example of how a business can be a force for good.
- 12:30Terri: Absolutely.
- 12:31Beverly: Uplifting others, spreading holiday cheer, it all comes back to that human need for connection, you know.
- 12:37Beverly: Especially during the holidays.
- 12:39Terri: Right, that need to belong, to be a part of something bigger than yourself.
- 12:42Beverly: And in this world where everything is so digital, it's so important to have those real life experiences.
- 12:48Beverly: Trevor Burrus, Jr.
- 12:48Terri: Those face-to-face interactions, those tangible memories.
- 12:51Beverly: Exactly.
- 12:51Beverly: And sometimes those experiences come in the form of a bustling holiday market, you know?
- 12:57Terri: Filled with unique gifts and the warmth of community spirit.
- 13:00Terri: Trevor Burrus, Jr.
- 13:00Beverly: Yeah.
- 13:01Beverly: It's a reminder that the holidays are about more than just stuff.
- 13:04Terri: It's about connection, memories, sharing joy with others.
- 13:07Beverly: Aaron Powell And the Ron Myers Christmas City gift show really seems to capture all of that.
- 13:13Terri: It does.
- 13:13Terri: So we've gone from like Ron Myers starting in the Air Force to this huge event with hundreds of booths.
- 13:20Terri: We've talked about how it helps the community.
- 13:22Beverly: And all the cool stuff you can buy.
- 13:23Terri: And that shopper's paradise thing.
- 13:24Terri: Which sounds pretty amazing, by the way.
- 13:27Terri: But now it's your turn.
- 13:28Beverly: What are you thinking about all this?
- 13:29Beverly: What's stuck with you?
- 13:31Terri: Was it like the sheer size of this thing?
- 13:33Terri: Or the fact that it's been going for over 40 years?
- 13:36Terri: That's incredible.
- 13:37Beverly: Or maybe it was that picture of Santa cutting the ribbon.
- 13:40Beverly: I mean, come on, that's adorable.
- 13:41Beverly: Or the thought of finding a gift that you literally cannot find anywhere else.
- 13:46Terri: Yeah.
- 13:46Terri: Or maybe knowing that when you buy something, you're helping out all these good causes.
- 13:51Beverly: It's a pretty cool combo.
- 13:52Beverly: So the big question Does this sound like an event you'd actually go to?
- 13:57Beverly: Would you like brave the crowds?
- 14:01Terri: Head down to the Gulf Coast.
- 14:02Beverly: To experience this thing firsthand.
- 14:03Beverly: And okay, here's another question.
- 14:05Beverly: If you could ask Ron Myers himself just one question.
- 14:10Beverly: What would it be?
- 14:11Beverly: Like what's his secret?
- 14:12Beverly: How's he managed to create this event that people keep coming back to?
- 14:16Terri: Year after year.
- 14:17Beverly: For over four decades.
- 14:18Beverly: What's the magic formula?
- 14:19Beverly: We've given you a taste of the Ron Myers Christmas City gift show.
- 14:23Terri: The history, the vendors, the impact.
- 14:26Beverly: All that good stuff.
- 14:26Beverly: But it's just a starting point, you know?
- 14:29Beverly: It's up to you to dig deeper, to explore more.
- 14:32Beverly: Maybe check out those vendors online.
- 14:34Terri: See what catches your eye.
- 14:36Beverly: Learn more about Ron Myers' ministries.
- 14:38Beverly: Heck, maybe even start planning a trip down to the Gulf Coast, you know?
- 14:41Beverly: Who knows?
- 14:42Terri: Become your new holiday tradition.
- 14:43Beverly: Exactly.
- 14:44Beverly: So until next time, keep that curiosity alive.
- 14:47Beverly: Keep exploring, and we'll see you on our next deep dive.
- 14:51Beverly: We've got lots more fascinating stuff to uncover.
- 14:55Ron Meyers: When I return, the secret sauce to Christmas City.
- 15:00Opening: You're listening to Get the Hell Out of Your Life with your host, Ron Myers.
- 15:04Opening: Real stories, real struggles, and real hope.
- 15:08Speaker 7: From craft to trees to side side.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Mark your calendars for November 7th through the 9th to discover the magic inside the Christmas City gift show in Biloxi.
- 15:57Speaker 8: Get the hell out of your life.
- 16:05Ron Meyers: Welcome back, listeners.
- 16:06Ron Meyers: I want to share a part of my journey with you of how Christmas City even began.
- 16:13Ron Meyers: First of all, I have never attended school or college to learn about the production business.
- 16:21Ron Meyers: After leaving the Air Force, I found myself working at a health club.
- 16:26Ron Meyers: It was a great experience, and one day I approached the owner with an idea.
- 16:31Ron Meyers: Let's host a bodybuilding show.
- 16:34Ron Meyers: He kind of sneered and laughed and said, Nope, not interested.
- 16:39Ron Meyers: But I didn't let that deter me.
- 16:41Ron Meyers: I said, Well, let me handle it.
- 16:44Ron Meyers: I'll put up the money and sell some gym memberships.
- 16:48Ron Meyers: That evening, as I stood on stage as the MC, I looked out over the audience and felt an overwhelming sense of possibility.
- 16:59Ron Meyers: There were hundreds of people packed into the Sanger Theater in Biloxi, Mississippi, watching over fifty contestants from three states compete.
- 17:09Ron Meyers: In that moment I realized the incredible power of an idea.
- 17:15Ron Meyers: I knew then that I wanted to make this my career.
- 17:20Ron Meyers: That night Ron Myers Productions was born.
- 17:24Ron Meyers: From there I began hosting monthly flea markets in Gulfport.
- 17:28Ron Meyers: And every November and December, I transformed those markets into a Christmas market.
- 17:35Ron Meyers: But in the second year of my Christmas market, I received some devastating news.
- 17:41Ron Meyers: My attorney, Tim Fischel, had died in a plane crash.
- 17:46Ron Meyers: And as I walked around the pavilion, I prayed, Lord, what am I going to do?
- 17:53Ron Meyers: I need a sign.
- 17:55Ron Meyers: And no sooner had I finished my prayer than an exhibitor approached me and said, Ron, you've outgrown this pavilion.
- 18:03Ron Meyers: You need to take your Christmas show to the Mississippi Coast Coliseum.
- 18:09Ron Meyers: Wow, that was a great idea.
- 18:11Ron Meyers: It wasn't even my idea.
- 18:13Ron Meyers: And that was the moment everything changed.
- 18:16Ron Meyers: I started in 1983 at the Coliseum hosting a one-day event.
- 18:21Ron Meyers: Since then, Christmas City has faced challenges from hurricanes to pandemics.
- 18:27Ron Meyers: But what kept me going was my passion.
- 18:31Ron Meyers: I've never viewed this just as a job.
- 18:34Ron Meyers: It's been my passion that has driven me.
- 18:38Ron Meyers: Yes, I faced failures and hardships.
- 18:41Ron Meyers: I was so broke at times I could hardly pay attention, but I never quit because I believed God had a plan for my life.
- 18:51Ron Meyers: My faith grew stronger and I began to flourish.
- 18:55Ron Meyers: What started as a Christmas arts and crafts show evolved into Christmas City.
- 19:01Ron Meyers: One night after attending an incredible church service, I felt inspired to create a magical place where people could experience the joy of the holidays.
- 19:14Ron Meyers: Little did I know that some folks were planning to host their own Christmas event just a week before mine.
- 19:23Ron Meyers: Yet God had my back.
- 19:26Ron Meyers: When I unveiled the new name Christmas City, it drew attention and a loyal following.
- 19:33Ron Meyers: People began to seek out my event, and I realized that success can attract challenges, but perseverance is the key.
- 19:44Ron Meyers: As Christmas City grew, I focused on creating an unforgettable experience.
- 19:50Ron Meyers: I wanted guests to do more than just shop.
- 19:52Ron Meyers: I wanted them to enjoy the atmosphere, creating lasting memories with their families.
- 19:58Ron Meyers: Then COVID hit.
- 20:00Ron Meyers: And like many, I faced uncertainty.
- 20:03Ron Meyers: But adversity often paves the way for unexpected success.
- 20:09Ron Meyers: That year, Christmas City became one of the few events in the region that could proceed.
- 20:14Ron Meyers: And we adapted by ensuring wide aisles and safety measures to enhance the shopping experience.
- 20:21Ron Meyers: What I discovered was that customers love the spacious layout.
- 20:26Ron Meyers: It allowed them to enjoy their time and connect with vendors, creating an environment filled with joy.
- 20:34Ron Meyers: Christmas City is not just an event.
- 20:37Ron Meyers: It's my pride and joy supporting Ron Meyer's ministries and allowing me to share stories of God's faithfulness through radio and podcast.
- 20:50Ron Meyers: Jesus saved me from dark times in my youth when I contemplated taking my own life.
- 20:57Ron Meyers: I remember that moment in my bedroom when I felt God's presence telling me, Ron, don't hurt yourself.
- 21:04Ron Meyers: I have a plan for you.
- 21:06Ron Meyers: That moment has fueled my faith through countless trials, and I've learned that wisdom often comes from our mistakes.
- 21:16Ron Meyers: Now, as we embrace 2025, Christmas City is entering its 42nd year.
- 21:23Ron Meyers: I may not know what the future holds.
- 21:26Ron Meyers: Will my children or grandchildren carry on this legacy?
- 21:30Ron Meyers: But what I do know is this God loves you.
- 21:34Ron Meyers: If you've ever thought about giving up on your dreams, change your mindset, have faith, trust in God, and be true to the calling in your life.
- 21:52Ron Meyers: Remember, your journey is unique, and every step you take is part of a greater plan.

- 22:38Ad: Get on your knees and cry out to the Lord.
- 22:41Ad: He hears you right where you are.
- 22:43Speaker 2: How to get the hell out of your life?
- 22:44Speaker 2: Well, yeah, replace it with Jesus.
- 22:46Speaker 2: We gotta be born again, born of the Spirit, and that's by trusting Jesus Christ, turning from our sins and trusting Jesus.
- 22:51Speaker 2: How do you get the hell out of your life?
- 22:52Speaker 2: Oh gosh.
- 22:54Ron Meyers: Jesus.
- 22:54Ron Meyers: Jesus.
- 22:55Ron Meyers: Jesus, Jesus, Jesus.
- 22:56Ron Meyers: As we wrap up today's show, I want to encourage you.
- 23:03Ron Meyers: Your journey is uniquely yours, and every step you take is part of a greater plan.
- 23:09Ron Meyers: Remember, I never set foot in the classroom to learn about productions.
- 23:14Ron Meyers: I just followed my passion and took a leap of faith.
- 23:18Ron Meyers: So when you are faced with challenges, like a devastating loss or the skepticism of others, don't let those moments define you.
- 23:28Ron Meyers: Instead, let them inspire you to push forward.
- 23:32Ron Meyers: God has placed dreams in your heart for a reason.
- 23:35Ron Meyers: If you've ever thought about giving up, I urge you to shift your mindset.
- 23:40Ron Meyers: Embrace your dreams, trust in the path laid out for you, and know that adversity can lead to unexpected success.
- 23:49Ron Meyers: You have the power with Jesus to create something incredible, just like I did with Christmas City.
- 23:57Ron Meyers: So keep believing in your dreams, lean on your faith, and remember with Jesus you are capable of greatness.
