Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: You know, I was reading earlier on one of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: websites they had a WWE must have been a press
- 0:06Speaker 1: release coming out of WrestleMania talking about some other record
- 0:11Speaker 1: that they had set and I don't know, some sort
- 0:13Speaker 1: of business announcement about how well they did and all
- 0:16Speaker 1: the money they generated for WrestleMania this year. And it's
- 0:19Speaker 1: always jarring to read something like that, and then immediately
- 0:24Speaker 1: after that you have a day like today, which happens
- 0:27Speaker 1: almost every year. There's always this Black Friday period in WWE,
- 0:33Speaker 1: this dark cloud that hangs over and you just wait
- 0:36Speaker 1: for the announcements of who they have cut, who has
- 0:41Speaker 1: WWE released from their contract, and sometimes it's just this
- 0:46Speaker 1: mass wave of releases. Sometimes it's only a handful of names.
- 0:50Speaker 1: Many times though, they will just release people in mass,
- 0:53Speaker 1: and you understand that, you know, no job is guaranteed,
- 0:56Speaker 1: and they really are the ones with all the power.
- 0:58Speaker 1: You know, you sign these contras for X number of years,
- 1:02Speaker 1: And I always think back to the Good Brothers many
- 1:04Speaker 1: years ago, and they had re signed with WWE, these
- 1:06Speaker 1: big money contracts, five year deals, and then just a
- 1:10Speaker 1: matter of months later the company cut them because at
- 1:13Speaker 1: the end of the day you know when you signed
- 1:15Speaker 1: these contracts, Really what you're doing is you're making a guarantee.
- 1:18Speaker 1: You're making a promise to the company that, Okay, I
- 1:21Speaker 1: will be under contract to you for X amount of
- 1:24Speaker 1: time and I can't go anywhere. But of course, when
- 1:28Speaker 1: the shoes on the other foot, the company can let
- 1:31Speaker 1: you go at any moment. It doesn't matter if you
- 1:33Speaker 1: have a five year contract a ten year contract, unless
- 1:36Speaker 1: you have a no cut contract, which I'm willing to
- 1:39Speaker 1: bet most talent in WWE do not have, but maybe
- 1:42Speaker 1: the very tippy top talents. The reality is that your
- 1:46Speaker 1: job is never safe, and especially if you are someone
- 1:49Speaker 1: who is very low on the totem pole in WWE.
- 1:52Speaker 1: And I made the comment a few weeks not even
- 1:53Speaker 1: a few weeks ago. Last week, two weeks ago, somebody
- 1:56Speaker 1: had sent in a question and they had asked me,
- 1:59Speaker 1: who do I think who do I think is going
- 2:01Speaker 1: to get you know, released from WWE, you know, with
- 2:04Speaker 1: the post WrestleMania cuts. Yeah, And I said, I don't
- 2:07Speaker 1: want to name any names because that's just kind of gross.
- 2:12Speaker 1: But also I would just say that if you are
- 2:16Speaker 1: someone who is not currently being utilized by the company,
- 2:19Speaker 1: if you're sitting in the back, if you're flying out
- 2:21Speaker 1: to whatever city that Raw or SmackDown is and you're
- 2:25Speaker 1: not actively being used, and you're sitting backstage or in catering.
- 2:29Speaker 1: You want it, you know you're hoping to be on
- 2:31Speaker 1: the show. You're never on the show. To me, those
- 2:34Speaker 1: are the people that should always be worried. Those are
- 2:36Speaker 1: the people that are always on the bubble because you're expendable,
- 2:41Speaker 1: you're not actively on the show. You're not being allowed
- 2:44Speaker 1: to contribute in any meaningful way. So, of course, low
- 2:47Speaker 1: hanging fruit. If people have to get cut, I would
- 2:49Speaker 1: be worried if I was someone like that, although occasionally
- 2:53Speaker 1: you will also find talents that are on television who
- 2:56Speaker 1: get cut anyway. And so as I'm looking at the
- 2:59Speaker 1: list of names as that we now have, and I'm
- 3:02Speaker 1: going to get into here momentarily, there are names on
- 3:06Speaker 1: this list that lost their jobs today in WWE and
- 3:10Speaker 1: NXT that don't shock me. It's all sad, it's all shitty,
- 3:14Speaker 1: no matter who you are, no matter who you like
- 3:16Speaker 1: or don't like, no matter who you think should or
- 3:18Speaker 1: should not be on TV, it's always a shitty situation
- 3:22Speaker 1: when somebody loses their job and I would not advocate
- 3:25Speaker 1: for that, and anybody who advocate for that as an asshole.
- 3:28Speaker 1: So let me just say that first and foremost. But
- 3:32Speaker 1: there are times where I will look at these lists
- 3:34Speaker 1: and I will see certain names on there, and I
- 3:38Speaker 1: just scratch my head. I am baffled by some of
- 3:43Speaker 1: the names that will pop up on these lists, and
- 3:47Speaker 1: all the times I've said, well, if you're not really
- 3:49Speaker 1: being utilized, I would be worried. There are names on
- 3:52Speaker 1: this list that were being used and still lost their
- 3:56Speaker 1: job today in WWE, and it has me sitting here wondering,
- 3:59Speaker 1: what the hell is going on here? How are these
- 4:01Speaker 1: decisions being made? To my count, two dozen names have
- 4:09Speaker 1: gotten their release or have left have departed WWE as
- 4:15Speaker 1: of today, two dozen and yet deaf Rebel remains employed.
- 4:22Speaker 1: Think about that. But it was fightful bodyslam Dot that
- 4:27Speaker 1: really all the main sights now are reporting on it,
- 4:29Speaker 1: but they were the ones that first started breaking the
- 4:31Speaker 1: news about talent releases in WWE. And this is what
- 4:35Speaker 1: we know so far. Now. This can and unfortunately probably
- 4:38Speaker 1: will evolve, because there's no indication that this is it,
- 4:42Speaker 1: that there won't be any more releases. I hope not
- 4:45Speaker 1: but it is still possible there could be more. These
- 4:49Speaker 1: are the people that are on the list, and I
- 4:51Speaker 1: will say we don't know for sure of all of
- 4:53Speaker 1: these names were necessarily released by WWE. It could be
- 4:57Speaker 1: a case where certain contracts were all to expire. I'm
- 5:02Speaker 1: going to guess based upon how many names are on
- 5:04Speaker 1: this list and the fact they all happened at the
- 5:06Speaker 1: same time, most if not all, of these are probably
- 5:10Speaker 1: releases from the company. But two names on that list
- 5:17Speaker 1: are Alistair Black and Zelina Vega, two names that were
- 5:21Speaker 1: part of the SmackDown roster. They were not on SmackDown Tonight,
- 5:24Speaker 1: and the reason they were not on SmackDown Tonight is
- 5:26Speaker 1: because they are no longer working for WWE. This is
- 5:29Speaker 1: the same Alistair Black who has pinfall wins in the
- 5:33Speaker 1: last couple of months on television over Randy Orton, who
- 5:37Speaker 1: just main evented WrestleMania, by the Way, and Sammy's Ain
- 5:42Speaker 1: who went into WrestleMania as the United States Champion. The
- 5:46Speaker 1: same Alistair Black, who, if the latest reports are to
- 5:49Speaker 1: be believed, the original idea was for him to be
- 5:55Speaker 1: the one on the phone with Randy Orton or the
- 5:58Speaker 1: voice in the head of Randy uh and there was
- 6:01Speaker 1: going to be a story that would have played out
- 6:03Speaker 1: of WrestleMania involving Alistair Black and Randy Orton, potentially even
- 6:07Speaker 1: a match at WrestleMania between the two of them. That
- 6:12Speaker 1: Alistair Black the one that they only first brought back
- 6:14Speaker 1: to the company one year ago, and also his wife,
- 6:20Speaker 1: Zelena Vega gone from the company. The reason I say
- 6:25Speaker 1: that most of these are probably releases, but we can't
- 6:28Speaker 1: say for sure that all of them are. I'm wondering,
- 6:31Speaker 1: and again, maybe not, maybe this is not the way
- 6:33Speaker 1: that it worked out. But I'm looking at this and
- 6:36Speaker 1: I'm wondering if maybe Zelena Vega got the call to
- 6:39Speaker 1: be released. And who's to say that Alistair Black was, Like,
- 6:43Speaker 1: if she's gone, I'm gone, right, We just don't know,
- 6:47Speaker 1: So I don't I hesitate to say that he was released.
- 6:49Speaker 1: We we just we don't know. We know that she
- 6:52Speaker 1: was because she's already commented on this. Zelena Vega not
- 6:56Speaker 1: very happy about the fact that Sean ross Sap of
- 6:59Speaker 1: Fight for was the first one to make public her
- 7:04Speaker 1: name as one of the releases. She claimed on her
- 7:07Speaker 1: Twitch stream that she got a phone call not from
- 7:10Speaker 1: Paula VEC or anybody specifically WWE. But she actually got
- 7:15Speaker 1: a phone call from TKO. Normally, when she gets these
- 7:18Speaker 1: calls in the past, it'll come from Stanford, It'll come
- 7:20Speaker 1: from a WWE number. Evidently, in this case, she claims
- 7:23Speaker 1: that she got a call from TKO. Whatever that means.
- 7:26Speaker 1: I don't know. If it said TKO on her caller ID,
- 7:29Speaker 1: I don't know. But she says she got the call
- 7:32Speaker 1: directly from TKO. So there's gonna be a whole conversation
- 7:37Speaker 1: around who's responsible for this, who's calling the shots when
- 7:41Speaker 1: it comes to this list of talents that have been released.
- 7:45Speaker 1: Is this a paula Vec thing? Is this a Nick
- 7:48Speaker 1: con thing? Is this a TKO thing? Oh, she got
- 7:50Speaker 1: a phone call from TKO. This is now the narrative online.
- 7:53Speaker 1: Can't blame Triple H and WWE. This is coming from TKO.
- 7:56Speaker 1: Let me explain something to you. I'm not in the
- 8:00Speaker 1: You are not in the room. None of us are
- 8:01Speaker 1: in the room when these names are chosen and when
- 8:05Speaker 1: these decisions are made. So I cannot sit here and
- 8:08Speaker 1: tell you with one hundred percent certainty this is the case.
- 8:10Speaker 1: But I will tell you with ninety nine percent certainty.
- 8:13Speaker 1: People like Ari Emmanuel and Mark Shapiro are not sitting
- 8:18Speaker 1: around in a room with a list of all the
- 8:21Speaker 1: WWE talents in front of them, going, you know what,
- 8:24Speaker 1: Alistair Black and Zelina Vega and this person and that person, Well,
- 8:28Speaker 1: let's cut this part. I will keep this guy, but
- 8:30Speaker 1: we'll let this woman go. That's not how this works.
- 8:34Speaker 1: That's not how this works. So the idea that TKO
- 8:37Speaker 1: is making the decision on who to release is preposterous
- 8:41Speaker 1: to me. Now, the decision that, okay, certain cuts need
- 8:46Speaker 1: to be made for budgetary reasons, Right, you have a number.
- 8:49Speaker 1: You can't go past this number, So you gotta that.
- 8:52Speaker 1: I can believe that's exactly what's going on here. That
- 8:56Speaker 1: I can believe. But as far as who is making
- 8:58Speaker 1: the decision on who goes and who stays, you cannot
- 9:03Speaker 1: say that Paul Avec and people like that have no
- 9:06Speaker 1: responsibility in this because it is impossible for me to
- 9:10Speaker 1: conceive that these decisions are being made one hundred percent
- 9:14Speaker 1: independent of him. He the chief content officer who is
- 9:18Speaker 1: responsible for trying to figure out week to week, which
- 9:20Speaker 1: talents are going to be utilized on television, Which talents
- 9:24Speaker 1: are we going to have in this storyline or that storyline.
- 9:28Speaker 1: And if you believe that they're mapping stories out weeks
- 9:31Speaker 1: or months in advance, which I'm not so sure that's
- 9:34Speaker 1: the case watching these fucking shows, it is impossible to
- 9:37Speaker 1: conceive that they have absolutely no involvement in this process whatsoever.
- 9:42Speaker 1: He is still in a position to be picking the
- 9:44Speaker 1: names of the people who are going to be cut,
- 9:47Speaker 1: even if he's not the one making the phone call.
- 9:50Speaker 1: At the end of the day. So I'm sure more
- 9:52Speaker 1: information will come out about the who, what, where, when
- 9:54Speaker 1: and why and the days to come. But I already
- 9:56Speaker 1: see this narrative for me that because Elena Vega made
- 9:58Speaker 1: a comment about TKO owners twitch stream, this is all TKO,
- 10:01Speaker 1: and it's not this person's fault. It's not that person's fault.
- 10:04Speaker 1: It's a collaboration. And there is nobody sitting in the
- 10:08Speaker 1: offices of TKO making these specific decisions on which talents
- 10:13Speaker 1: are being cut. That is ridiculous. Me, stop yourself for
- 10:15Speaker 1: a second and think about that. Use your fucking brain. Okay.
- 10:20Speaker 1: But she says she got the call at five oh
- 10:22Speaker 1: nine pm this afternoon that she was being released, and
- 10:27Speaker 1: she was very upset that Sean Ross sap beat her
- 10:30Speaker 1: to the punch before she had the opportunity to go
- 10:33Speaker 1: out and make the announcement herself. Now this was five
- 10:36Speaker 1: oh nine pm, she claimed. I think Sean got the
- 10:38Speaker 1: announcement up. It was eight o'clock or after eight o'clock.
- 10:41Speaker 1: All I'll say is this, I don't know if she
- 10:43Speaker 1: has some personal beef with him. I think I saw
- 10:45Speaker 1: him make a comment that she she already didn't like him,
- 10:48Speaker 1: So maybe she already doesn't like the guy. I don't know.
- 10:51Speaker 1: He's in a position in this case where he is
- 10:54Speaker 1: reporting information on people that have been released by the company.
- 10:59Speaker 1: It is not his job to wait and sit on
- 11:02Speaker 1: information that he may have in the event that every
- 11:06Speaker 1: single one of these twenty four talents so far that
- 11:11Speaker 1: got released may want to go ahead and make an
- 11:13Speaker 1: announcement on their own, put a video out, put a
- 11:15Speaker 1: tweet out. It's not how this works. But she's also,
- 11:19Speaker 1: I'm sure very upset, which is understandable, very emotional about it.
- 11:24Speaker 1: But again I already see the piling on and oh,
- 11:26Speaker 1: you know, how could he do something like that? He
- 11:28Speaker 1: didn't do in this case. He didn't do anything that
- 11:30Speaker 1: you wouldn't expect someone in his position to do. And
- 11:33Speaker 1: that's what I'll say about that for now. Now. Alistair
- 11:39Speaker 1: Black and Zelina Vega they were doing stuff on television,
- 11:42Speaker 1: they were involved in like the Randy Yorton stuff, and
- 11:47Speaker 1: they were in the background of certain backstage segments. And look,
- 11:51Speaker 1: a lot of the time that doesn't lead to anything.
- 11:53Speaker 1: It's something it gets people's jolly's going, oh my god,
- 11:56Speaker 1: look he's in the background. What does it mean? It
- 11:58Speaker 1: doesn't mean anything. Okay, nine times out of ten when
- 12:02Speaker 1: Triple H does that, it means nothing. Maxine Dupree has
- 12:07Speaker 1: been seen in the background on Raw in recent weeks.
- 12:10Speaker 1: I think with the Vision, does that mean that she's
- 12:14Speaker 1: going to join the Vision? She hasn't even been on television,
- 12:18Speaker 1: so I wouldn't get too excited about that sort of stuff.
- 12:20Speaker 1: But nonetheless, there they were in the background, here in
- 12:23Speaker 1: the background. There in the background. There, Sammy's ain they
- 12:26Speaker 1: would show up and talk to Sammy's Ain and Randy Orton.
- 12:28Speaker 1: They would show up and talk about Randy Orton. And
- 12:31Speaker 1: I just find it hard to believe again, if this
- 12:33Speaker 1: was their decision to let him go, that you couldn't
- 12:37Speaker 1: find something for this man to do on this show.
- 12:41Speaker 1: When you absolutely could have. I mean, you could say
- 12:45Speaker 1: that about different people on this list. He was one
- 12:47Speaker 1: of the more surprising names, not the most surprising, the
- 12:52Speaker 1: most surprising name on this list, and the one that
- 12:55Speaker 1: when I saw it, I thought that it was someone
- 12:57Speaker 1: who was trolling. I said, surely this can't be true true,
- 13:01Speaker 1: But it is is Kyrie Saane. Now, I'm not gonna
- 13:06Speaker 1: sit here and tell you that, you know, Kyrie Sayne
- 13:09Speaker 1: is someone who was being you know, prepped to challenge
- 13:13Speaker 1: for the World Championship and the women's division or anything
- 13:16Speaker 1: like that. No, but she has been involved in a
- 13:18Speaker 1: very specific story now for months on Monday Night Brow
- 13:24Speaker 1: and the pairing with Oscar the Kabuki Warriors, but the
- 13:26Speaker 1: story that they have been telling where she has just
- 13:28Speaker 1: been verbally and psychologically abused and manipulated by this woman
- 13:35Speaker 1: and they want you to feel sympathy for Kyrie. Every
- 13:38Speaker 1: time that you know, you hear Oscar shout Kyrie's name
- 13:40Speaker 1: and she would slink away looking all terrified. And of late,
- 13:45Speaker 1: eo Sky has been roped into this story because Eosky
- 13:48Speaker 1: is trying to convince Kyrie you don't need to be
- 13:50Speaker 1: associating with her anymore. You don't need her. She treats
- 13:54Speaker 1: you like dog shit. And it all seemed to be
- 13:57Speaker 1: building to this big moment at WrestleMania. We might get
- 14:00Speaker 1: a match at WrestleMania between Eosky and Osco. It's almost
- 14:03Speaker 1: like custody of Kyrie, right, But she was the central
- 14:06Speaker 1: I mean, she was the crown jewel. She was the
- 14:08Speaker 1: focal point of this story. And then we got no
- 14:11Speaker 1: WrestleMania match, which now makes me wonder if how early
- 14:14Speaker 1: did they know they were going to be cutting this woman,
- 14:17Speaker 1: and maybe that had something to do with why we
- 14:18Speaker 1: ended up not getting that match of WrestleMania. I wouldn't
- 14:21Speaker 1: be surprised, but it seemed like that was the direction
- 14:23Speaker 1: that we were heading in. And even if they were
- 14:26Speaker 1: to do the match of Backlash, we could get EO
- 14:27Speaker 1: and Oscar. That's great. Well, the story that you have
- 14:30Speaker 1: been preparing people for, the story that you have been
- 14:33Speaker 1: telling people is out the fucking window now. So I
- 14:37Speaker 1: would love to know what is the logic behind a
- 14:40Speaker 1: decision like this. Do you mean to tell me that
- 14:42Speaker 1: Kyrie Sam was making so much money that she had
- 14:44Speaker 1: to be cut, that she had one of the more
- 14:46Speaker 1: expensive contracts on the books and had to be unloaded.
- 14:49Speaker 1: She was in the middle of an important story on
- 14:51Speaker 1: that show, and we never got the payoff to it.
- 14:55Speaker 1: This is a company that loves to talk about storytelling
- 14:58Speaker 1: and loves to talk about your characters and building stories,
- 15:01Speaker 1: and this has been playing out for so long and
- 15:03Speaker 1: now we will never get the payoff to it. The
- 15:06Speaker 1: payoff was Kyrie comes to her senses and stands up
- 15:10Speaker 1: to Osca, and instead Kyrie saying, got fired today and
- 15:15Speaker 1: she's gone, and Oscar now is all by herself. And
- 15:18Speaker 1: whatever they do now on Monday night row with Osca
- 15:20Speaker 1: and EO and look, I hope they have a great
- 15:22Speaker 1: match if they ever actually put these two women in
- 15:24Speaker 1: the ring. But whatever story they tell now, the story
- 15:26Speaker 1: is dead dead. So they expect you to sort of
- 15:31Speaker 1: invest in these characters and invest in these stories that
- 15:34Speaker 1: they're telling. And sometimes the stories are good, sometimes the
- 15:36Speaker 1: stories are shit. But then something like this happens and
- 15:40Speaker 1: they kind of like they throw a monkey wrench into
- 15:42Speaker 1: the entire thing, and you just see her going, why
- 15:44Speaker 1: have I bothered? Why invest your time in any of
- 15:48Speaker 1: this stuff? If this is the sort of thing that's
- 15:51Speaker 1: going to happen, Like I am completely puzzled by that cut.
- 15:55Speaker 1: I don't understand it. Again, I'm not going to sit
- 15:58Speaker 1: here and try to convince you that she was the
- 16:00Speaker 1: most important person on that show. She wasn't, but she
- 16:04Speaker 1: was an important part of the show. I don't understand that.
- 16:09Speaker 1: I don't understand the logic that goes into something like that,
- 16:11Speaker 1: because there are gonna be names on this list here
- 16:13Speaker 1: that I read to you, and you're not even gonna
- 16:15Speaker 1: know who some of these people are. Some of them
- 16:18Speaker 1: are nxtenams. Some of them may be talents that, oh
- 16:21Speaker 1: they were trying with and they just came to the
- 16:22Speaker 1: realization that this person just isn't advancing quick enough. Look,
- 16:26Speaker 1: that's understandable. Not everybody who is brought into the Performance
- 16:31Speaker 1: Center debuts in NXT is gonna make it. But in
- 16:35Speaker 1: a situation like this, I have absolutely no idea what
- 16:39Speaker 1: is going through their fucking brains when they let some
- 16:42Speaker 1: of these people go, How the fuck do you get
- 16:46Speaker 1: rid of Kyrie Saine in the middle of this? You know,
- 16:51Speaker 1: Julia lost her United States Championship tonight on SmackDown. I'd
- 16:56Speaker 1: be very worried right now if I were her. That's
- 16:59Speaker 1: the one that's all I was thinking of when she
- 17:01Speaker 1: lost to Tiffany Stratton tonight. Why does she lose that
- 17:05Speaker 1: championship tonight. Not only that, but they were clearly teasing
- 17:09Speaker 1: a split or at least some tensions between her and
- 17:12Speaker 1: Keana James. So clearly there's a split on the way,
- 17:15Speaker 1: or maybe there won't be. That's assuming Julie is even around.
- 17:19Speaker 1: I hate to even think like that, but you can't
- 17:21Speaker 1: tell me that you weren't thinking the same thing when
- 17:23Speaker 1: that match was over. That's why I don't think these
- 17:25Speaker 1: cuts are necessarily done. Yet the entire Wyatt six faction
- 17:33Speaker 1: is gone from SmackDown, So not one member, not two members,
- 17:38Speaker 1: every single member of the Wyatt six is gone. Bo
- 17:41Speaker 1: Dallas or Uncle Howdie, whatever you want to call him,
- 17:44Speaker 1: he's gone. Eric Rowan is gone, Dexter Loomis is gone,
- 17:50Speaker 1: Joe Gasey is gone, Nicky Cross is gone. And so
- 17:54Speaker 1: now it makes a lot of sense why they just
- 17:57Speaker 1: lost in the way that they did a very anti
- 18:00Speaker 1: climactic way to the MFTs on SmackDown last week. We
- 18:04Speaker 1: had to sit here for the last six months it
- 18:07Speaker 1: felt like six years, and watched the MFTs and the
- 18:11Speaker 1: Wyatt six feud mostly over a fucking lantern. Now, I
- 18:19Speaker 1: know you could talk about all this, it's the significance
- 18:21Speaker 1: of the lantern. The lantern. It was Brave's lantern. It's
- 18:24Speaker 1: the significance of it was a fucking lantern. The story
- 18:29Speaker 1: was shit, and they dragged this thing out for months
- 18:33Speaker 1: to where I thought they were going to put that
- 18:34Speaker 1: on the WrestleMania car. Thankfully they didn't. So again, let's
- 18:40Speaker 1: not sit here and pretend that what they were doing
- 18:42Speaker 1: with the Wyatts was any good. It wasn't. Now they
- 18:46Speaker 1: could have been doing other things with the Wyatt six
- 18:49Speaker 1: instead of dragging this thing out for so long. Absolutely,
- 18:52Speaker 1: that whole storyline, that whole few did nothing for either group,
- 18:57Speaker 1: actually made the Wyatts, I think, less over than they
- 19:00Speaker 1: were at the beginning of the whole thing. But the
- 19:03Speaker 1: reality is this, the Wyatt six always was going to
- 19:07Speaker 1: have a shelf life of a certain amount of time.
- 19:11Speaker 1: I never looked at that as a sustainable gimmick in
- 19:13Speaker 1: the long haul. I think it was cool the way
- 19:16Speaker 1: that Bo was brought back and was allowed to pay
- 19:19Speaker 1: tribute to his brother and continue his legacy and be
- 19:23Speaker 1: able to carry on with some of the characters that
- 19:26Speaker 1: he had created and thought about in his head, and
- 19:30Speaker 1: I think he paid great tribute to him. And if
- 19:32Speaker 1: you remember when they made their debut on Raw, remember
- 19:36Speaker 1: when they massacred the entire roster. And I know some
- 19:39Speaker 1: people were turned off by that, they thought the whole
- 19:41Speaker 1: thing was ridiculous, But most people, I think were pretty
- 19:43Speaker 1: excited about the way that they did and said, man,
- 19:45Speaker 1: what a fucking debut this is. It was certainly memorable.
- 19:49Speaker 1: It was a hell of a debut. And then the
- 19:51Speaker 1: problem becomes, how do you follow up something like that?
- 19:54Speaker 1: They massacred the entire roster. Chad Gable was laying there
- 19:58Speaker 1: on the floor. It looked like he was shot in
- 19:59Speaker 1: the hand. Everybody, I mean, blood on the walls. It
- 20:02Speaker 1: was like something out of a horror movie. But you
- 20:05Speaker 1: look at that and you go, how do you how
- 20:08Speaker 1: do you continue on with something like that without just
- 20:13Speaker 1: you know, you had all these guys in this group.
- 20:16Speaker 1: It's almost like a supernatural force. And that's the problem
- 20:19Speaker 1: with a gimmick like this is that where do you
- 20:22Speaker 1: go next? There weren't a lot of great places to
- 20:27Speaker 1: go with it if you wanted to kind of keep
- 20:29Speaker 1: that aspect of it up or you can humanize them
- 20:33Speaker 1: and go in a totally different direction, and we could
- 20:35Speaker 1: learn more about each individual, you know, character in the group,
- 20:39Speaker 1: and maybe some of them even branch off a little
- 20:42Speaker 1: bit and start doing some single stuff. And they don't
- 20:44Speaker 1: just do group stuff. They don't just do you know,
- 20:46Speaker 1: six man tags or whatever. There were other ways to
- 20:50Speaker 1: go about utilizing the Wyatt six, and they chose to
- 20:54Speaker 1: go in the most basic, kind of boring, paint by numbers,
- 20:58Speaker 1: vanilla way that they could. Would come out. They were
- 21:00Speaker 1: an entrance, I am sorry to say, but that's what
- 21:03Speaker 1: they ended up being. They became they were an entrance,
- 21:06Speaker 1: and then the bell rang and they would have matches
- 21:07Speaker 1: from time to time, not very often because they were
- 21:10Speaker 1: an attraction. So you really shouldn't have them on TV
- 21:12Speaker 1: every week. But when they were actually using them, what
- 21:15Speaker 1: were they doing on the show that was exciting? What
- 21:17Speaker 1: were they doing on the show that was interesting? We
- 21:19Speaker 1: had these cut ins with these the VHS style vignettes,
- 21:23Speaker 1: and after a while they all sort of blend together, right,
- 21:25Speaker 1: They weren't really doing much at that point to think
- 21:28Speaker 1: outside the box. It was the same basic bullshit every
- 21:30Speaker 1: single week. And then the MFTs came along and at
- 21:33Speaker 1: that point, I mean, it was just death all around.
- 21:36Speaker 1: It was like they would come on my television screen
- 21:39Speaker 1: and I would just try to do something else because
- 21:41Speaker 1: I had absolutely no interest in seeing these people working
- 21:44Speaker 1: together on this show. And it soured me. It soured
- 21:48Speaker 1: me on all of them, it really did. And so
- 21:52Speaker 1: you look at it and you go, Okay, what is
- 21:53Speaker 1: the endgame for this group? For Uncle Howdy? Where do
- 21:59Speaker 1: you go from here? Uncle Howdie is not wrestling Cony
- 22:01Speaker 1: Rhodes for the WWE Championship. Joe Gacy is a talented guy.
- 22:06Speaker 1: He had a chance to do a few different things
- 22:08Speaker 1: in NX Team, remember the schism. He was doing some
- 22:11Speaker 1: other stuff down there and was given the chance to
- 22:15Speaker 1: start cutting promos and stuff like there was something there
- 22:18Speaker 1: with him. But in the Y at six he was
- 22:20Speaker 1: just a background player, barely ever had the chance to speak.
- 22:23Speaker 1: He was just a guy Dexter Loomis who never spoke.
- 22:27Speaker 1: That was his old gimmick. That sounds like death. Just
- 22:32Speaker 1: another guy Eric Rowan they brought back. Remember when Rowan
- 22:35Speaker 1: had that cameo on that aw pre show match, and
- 22:39Speaker 1: I mean everybody's raving about him. He looked great in
- 22:41Speaker 1: that match, and so when he was brought back to WW,
- 22:43Speaker 1: he's like, Okay, you know what, that's kind of cool.
- 22:45Speaker 1: They're giving him another chance. There's something there with him.
- 22:48Speaker 1: He's not carrying around the dumb spider in the cage.
- 22:50Speaker 1: Let's see what they do with him this time. They
- 22:52Speaker 1: did nothing. They did nothing. They were an entrance. They
- 22:58Speaker 1: didn't know what else to do with them. So it
- 23:00Speaker 1: kind of feels like it was only a matter of
- 23:02Speaker 1: time before we got here. But I look at like
- 23:05Speaker 1: Nicki Cross, What the hell happened to Nicki Cross? She
- 23:08Speaker 1: was part of this group. Do you remember the last
- 23:11Speaker 1: time you saw Nicky Cross in a match on television?
- 23:14Speaker 1: I bet you don't. If I asked you who was
- 23:16Speaker 1: the last person that Nicky Cross was in the ring
- 23:18Speaker 1: with in a singles match on television, and I'd put
- 23:20Speaker 1: a gun to your head and I said give me
- 23:21Speaker 1: the answer in ten seconds, you'd be fucking dead. You
- 23:24Speaker 1: couldn't tell me. This woman hasn't worked a match on
- 23:27Speaker 1: television in two years. To my knowledge, she wasn't injured.
- 23:33Speaker 1: They basically put her on ice for two years. This
- 23:35Speaker 1: woman is a wrestler. Instead, she came out in the
- 23:39Speaker 1: funny mask and she would just be in the background
- 23:41Speaker 1: and every now and then she would do a crossbody
- 23:43Speaker 1: onto somebody on the floor. That was what she was
- 23:46Speaker 1: being paid to do. She wasn't actually being used in
- 23:49Speaker 1: the ring anymore. Maybe now she'll actually go out there
- 23:54Speaker 1: and she'll have this big resurgence on the independency, and
- 23:56Speaker 1: I think that would be great to see. It would
- 23:58Speaker 1: be nice to get her back in the ring and
- 24:00Speaker 1: have her start wrestling again. But this is what I mean,
- 24:02Speaker 1: It's like, I don't know what the end goal was
- 24:06Speaker 1: for this group. Just never made any sense to me
- 24:11Speaker 1: the way they were being used. But the entire group, now,
- 24:13Speaker 1: the entire faction gone from WWE. The tag team division
- 24:18Speaker 1: on SmackDown Fucking sucks. Okay, we have had the MFTs
- 24:23Speaker 1: and the Wyatts doing some tag team stuff. And who
- 24:28Speaker 1: are the tag team champions right now? Holy shit, I
- 24:31Speaker 1: just forgot who the tag team champions are on this show?
- 24:33Speaker 1: Is it the MFTs? I think the MFTs are the
- 24:35Speaker 1: tag team champions. No, Damian Priest and Our Truth. Okay,
- 24:40Speaker 1: so there you go. I swear to you. I swear
- 24:42Speaker 1: to you. I wasn't putting on an act there, I
- 24:45Speaker 1: for the moment forgot who the fuck. The tag team
- 24:46Speaker 1: champions were Damian Priest and Our Truth. Okay, the tag
- 24:49Speaker 1: team that tells you everything you need to know. The
- 24:51Speaker 1: tag team division on SmackDown sucks, and so you have
- 24:56Speaker 1: the MotorCity machine Guns. They were part of that tag
- 24:58Speaker 1: team division on SmackDown. They were doing nothing on the show,
- 25:01Speaker 1: Alex Shelley and Chris Saban. Every now and then they
- 25:03Speaker 1: would kind of dust them off to do something. The
- 25:06Speaker 1: last thing we saw them doing on the show they
- 25:07Speaker 1: were with Johnny Gargano trying to convince them to not
- 25:10Speaker 1: lay on the crate. This was the compelling television that
- 25:13Speaker 1: they came up with for these guys, Alex Shelley and
- 25:16Speaker 1: Chris Saban, two very talented guys. The problem is right
- 25:20Speaker 1: out of the gate when they got on smack Down,
- 25:22Speaker 1: they made them tag team champions within the first two weeks.
- 25:26Speaker 1: After that, it was all downhill. Where do you go
- 25:28Speaker 1: from there? Right? They lost the titles not long after
- 25:30Speaker 1: that and that was it. They never got back up
- 25:33Speaker 1: to that level. They were part of I think a
- 25:36Speaker 1: couple of memorable TLC matches on SmackDown, I think a
- 25:39Speaker 1: year ago, right, weren't they part I think they might
- 25:41Speaker 1: have been part of that match, but beyond that, I
- 25:44Speaker 1: couldn't tell you a whole hell of a lot about
- 25:45Speaker 1: what these two guys did. They always felt like they
- 25:48Speaker 1: were on the bubble to me. And part of the
- 25:50Speaker 1: problem also was that they never really got over. If
- 25:53Speaker 1: we're being honest. We would see them on the show
- 25:56Speaker 1: and it was painful. Sometimes they'd be out there and
- 25:59Speaker 1: it was like pulling tea to try to get a
- 26:00Speaker 1: reaction from the audience. And yeah, you could put some
- 26:03Speaker 1: of that maybe on WWE in terms of the way
- 26:06Speaker 1: that they were being booked and utilized on the show,
- 26:09Speaker 1: but you can't put it all on WWE. Some of
- 26:11Speaker 1: it goes on the talent, and the reality is they
- 26:13Speaker 1: just did not get over at a high level on SmackDown.
- 26:15Speaker 1: That put them in a very vulnerable position where today
- 26:19Speaker 1: they were on the cutlist. And so the MotorCity machine
- 26:21Speaker 1: Guns no longer in WWE. Alba Fire, who has been
- 26:27Speaker 1: playing one of Chelsea Green's secret hervist agents, is gone.
- 26:33Speaker 1: She posted on x Kaylee Ray would batter Alba Fire
- 26:38Speaker 1: just saying Kaylee Ray, of course is the persona that
- 26:43Speaker 1: she was playing in NXTUK and I believe she got
- 26:48Speaker 1: a name change. When did she get the name change?
- 26:51Speaker 1: Because I thought she was Kaylee Ray in nxt UK
- 26:54Speaker 1: unless they changed her name there. But basically, she's ready
- 26:57Speaker 1: to get back out there and be Kaylee Rays and
- 27:00Speaker 1: say fuck you to Alba Fire and I think she's
- 27:03Speaker 1: gonna do just fine for it. I think a lot
- 27:05Speaker 1: of people on this list, frankly, are gonna end up
- 27:07Speaker 1: doing very well for themselves, you know, and land somewhere
- 27:11Speaker 1: if they want to sign a contract, if they don't
- 27:13Speaker 1: want to, I think they'll do well on the indies.
- 27:15Speaker 1: She's one of those people. But again, she wasn't really
- 27:18Speaker 1: being used in a meaningful way. She was there to
- 27:21Speaker 1: wheeld Chelsea Green out in her wheelchair. That's it. That's it.
- 27:27Speaker 1: This one, it felt like it was only a matter
- 27:29Speaker 1: of time. Zoe Stark. Zoe Stark is a name that
- 27:33Speaker 1: we have not heard in a very long time because
- 27:36Speaker 1: Zoe Stark suffered a horrific knee injury on raw in
- 27:40Speaker 1: May of last year. I mean, I think back to
- 27:42Speaker 1: that injury and the way her leg be Oh god,
- 27:45Speaker 1: it was awful, and the scream I still I could
- 27:48Speaker 1: hear her scream in my head so it was a terrible,
- 27:52Speaker 1: terrible injury. She tore her ACL, her MCL, her meniscus,
- 27:57Speaker 1: and she was on the road to recovery. She had surgery,
- 27:59Speaker 1: she went grueling rehab, and we hadn't really heard any
- 28:03Speaker 1: updates on her in quite some time. I was kind
- 28:05Speaker 1: of following her social media on Instagram from time to time,
- 28:08Speaker 1: and she seems, you know, to be doing a lot better.
- 28:11Speaker 1: And I had actually just mentioned her not that long ago,
- 28:14Speaker 1: and it felt like she might be, you know about
- 28:17Speaker 1: ready to come back very soon. And I was thinking, well,
- 28:19Speaker 1: they have the Women's Intercontinental title, they have the Women's
- 28:22Speaker 1: United Stage Championship, and I could see her, you know,
- 28:25Speaker 1: being plugged into one of those divisions and she could
- 28:28Speaker 1: be a solid addition there, you know. Well, I mean
- 28:32Speaker 1: it was wishful thinking that won't be happening, though, because
- 28:36Speaker 1: she has been released by WWE, and I was not
- 28:41Speaker 1: aware of the fact that apparently just recently she was
- 28:44Speaker 1: cleared to return. Because you hear the name Zoe Stark
- 28:47Speaker 1: and she was let go, It's like, well, that's pretty
- 28:49Speaker 1: fucking shitty. Woman is still out recovering from this horrendous injury,
- 28:55Speaker 1: hoping to make a comeback and you let her go.
- 28:57Speaker 1: Apparently she was medically cleared. I don't know how recently,
- 29:00Speaker 1: but sometime recently she was medically cleared to return, and
- 29:03Speaker 1: I guess was just waiting to find out how they
- 29:05Speaker 1: were going to bring her back into creative on television.
- 29:10Speaker 1: To me, this is almost shittier. This is almost worse
- 29:14Speaker 1: than if they would have just let her go in
- 29:16Speaker 1: the middle of her rehabbing from that injury, because she
- 29:18Speaker 1: went through all of this grueling rehab and recovery and
- 29:21Speaker 1: she made it, and she got medically cleared, and I'm
- 29:23Speaker 1: sure in her head she's all excited. Man, she's ready
- 29:26Speaker 1: to come back. She's ready to jump back in that
- 29:28Speaker 1: ring and contribute and get another chance. And then she
- 29:30Speaker 1: has it taken away from her because that injury has
- 29:34Speaker 1: I mean, that has to fuck with your head. That injury,
- 29:36Speaker 1: I'm sure was just devastating to her on so many levels.
- 29:39Speaker 1: And so imagine working yourself back up to a place
- 29:41Speaker 1: where now you are medically cleared and ready to come
- 29:44Speaker 1: back and they fire you. To me, that's even worse now.
- 29:50Speaker 1: She already posted on social media as well, she said,
- 29:52Speaker 1: thank you WWE. You made a young girl's dream come true.
- 29:56Speaker 1: You cannot have been better and more supportive during my healing,
- 29:59Speaker 1: and I will forever be grateful. Thank you to all
- 30:02Speaker 1: the girls in the back, the producers, cameraman, you were
- 30:05Speaker 1: all incredibly kind and gracious. And a special thank you
- 30:08Speaker 1: to Terry Taylor and Coach Bloom for teaching me so
- 30:11Speaker 1: much and being a shoulder to lean on. It's just
- 30:13Speaker 1: the end of this chapter and the beginning of a
- 30:15Speaker 1: new one, falling forward, onward and upward with God's plan.
- 30:20Speaker 1: And then she listed her email address if you want
- 30:24Speaker 1: to book Zoe Stark z Stark dot booking at gmail
- 30:29Speaker 1: dot com. I can assure you that some people will
- 30:31Speaker 1: be reaching out to her to book her on their shows.
- 30:34Speaker 1: I don't think that she's going to be hurting for
- 30:36Speaker 1: work when she's ready to make her comeback. Now. It
- 30:39Speaker 1: makes me wonder. I can't help but look at this
- 30:42Speaker 1: and want because of me, And we're talking about we're
- 30:44Speaker 1: talking about WWE and TKO and big corporation here looking
- 30:49Speaker 1: at this and wondering if they were waiting until she
- 30:53Speaker 1: was officially healed and medically cleared, if they were going
- 30:56Speaker 1: to make a move like this. That's the cynic in me.
- 30:59Speaker 1: I don't want to believe that that's the case. And
- 31:02Speaker 1: also they have shown in the past that they will
- 31:05Speaker 1: let you go even if you are currently out injured.
- 31:07Speaker 1: I have other names to get to here. In fact,
- 31:09Speaker 1: the next name I'm gonna get to falls under that category.
- 31:12Speaker 1: So maybe that's not what happened. Yet I just think
- 31:14Speaker 1: that's incredibly shitty. Zoe is a talented wrestler, and Zoe
- 31:19Speaker 1: is someone who, as I said, could be play. You
- 31:22Speaker 1: have two women's mid car championships now in this company
- 31:27Speaker 1: that were really only instituted a few months before she
- 31:29Speaker 1: got hurt. She would be someone who, again you can
- 31:32Speaker 1: easily plug in and then if she does really well
- 31:36Speaker 1: this run and she really hits it off, then who knows,
- 31:39Speaker 1: maybe she can climb even higher. But they evidently felt
- 31:43Speaker 1: that it wasn't worth it. She wasn't worth it. She
- 31:46Speaker 1: didn't bring enough value to this company, so they let
- 31:50Speaker 1: her go. Santo's Escobar. This is another one that is
- 31:57Speaker 1: just wild to think about. Santacobar was on SmackDown once
- 32:02Speaker 1: upon a time, leading a small faction. It was him,
- 32:06Speaker 1: it was Angel, it was Berdo, and again they weren't
- 32:10Speaker 1: really lighting the world on fire. They really weren't doing
- 32:13Speaker 1: a whole lot with them. And then his contract expired
- 32:17Speaker 1: and he chose not to re sign with WWE, as
- 32:19Speaker 1: I recall, and so he was about to become a
- 32:22Speaker 1: free agent. I think for a brief period of time
- 32:25Speaker 1: he did become a free agent. WWE apparently really wanted
- 32:29Speaker 1: to sign him. They wanted him back, and so they
- 32:32Speaker 1: negotiated a new deal. They apparently threw a shit ton
- 32:35Speaker 1: of money at this guy, and he agreed to re sign.
- 32:39Speaker 1: And I look at that, I go, hey, good for him.
- 32:41Speaker 1: I don't know if that was his plan, but apparently
- 32:44Speaker 1: he got a much better deal out of it. And
- 32:46Speaker 1: then we didn't hear anything about Santos Escobar for months,
- 32:52Speaker 1: for months, and then there was a report that, oh,
- 32:56Speaker 1: he kind of fell through the cracks, and so WWE
- 32:59Speaker 1: is hearing plans to bring him back very soon. Fell
- 33:04Speaker 1: through the cracks, and then they bring him back in
- 33:08Speaker 1: Triple A. Unfortunately for him, he got injured. I think
- 33:12Speaker 1: he got injured back into January. I don't know if
- 33:14Speaker 1: he didn't know about it, didn't know the severity of it,
- 33:18Speaker 1: hit it, I don't know what happened there, if he
- 33:20Speaker 1: got hurt in January. It wasn't until March at that
- 33:22Speaker 1: Triple A Rey de Reys show. He was in that
- 33:24Speaker 1: four way match and you could tell that something was wrong.
- 33:27Speaker 1: He just did not look great in that match. Somehow
- 33:30Speaker 1: he worked the match, but I think it was a
- 33:33Speaker 1: triceps tear, and so he underwent surgery to repair his arm.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Apparently within the last few weeks he had a second surgery.
- 33:41Speaker 1: There was some issue I think with his ulnar nerve
- 33:45Speaker 1: I believe is what I read. So again he's going
- 33:48Speaker 1: to be out for a while. He just had two surgeries.
- 33:53Speaker 1: He re signed with the company because they pursued him.
- 33:56Speaker 1: They wanted him back, and so they threw money at
- 33:59Speaker 1: him and he agreed to come back, and now he
- 34:01Speaker 1: is done. They have fired him. And again I look
- 34:07Speaker 1: at this and I just go, I don't understand how
- 34:11Speaker 1: that works. You wanted him so bad. It wasn't even
- 34:15Speaker 1: being used on the show in any significant way. It
- 34:17Speaker 1: was kind of weird. How we have to have him,
- 34:20Speaker 1: we have to have him back, and it's like, all right,
- 34:22Speaker 1: good for him. He's a talented guy. Hopefully they'll do
- 34:25Speaker 1: more with him. But apparently not good enough to hold
- 34:28Speaker 1: on to because now he's out of a job anyway.
- 34:31Speaker 1: As it turned out, again, it's just one of those things.
- 34:34Speaker 1: And again he's hurt at the time, at the moment,
- 34:36Speaker 1: he's hurt. So that's one of those names on the
- 34:40Speaker 1: list that I just shake my head at and I go,
- 34:43Speaker 1: I don't understand. Make it make sense, because to me
- 34:47Speaker 1: it doesn't. Apollo Cruz, I don't know, to be honest
- 34:52Speaker 1: with you, I don't know how he survived the previous
- 34:55Speaker 1: cuts because you talk about somebody who was being paid
- 34:59Speaker 1: and showing up to work and really not being utilized
- 35:01Speaker 1: outside of maybe wrestling on main event. That is the
- 35:04Speaker 1: story of Apollo Cruise in his career the last few years.
- 35:07Speaker 1: He did get a bit of a push. Years ago.
- 35:09Speaker 1: He was even the Intercontinental Champion at one point. Yeah,
- 35:14Speaker 1: how many years ago? That was? I was five years ago.
- 35:17Speaker 1: What have they done with Apollo Cruse in the last
- 35:18Speaker 1: four years five years? Nothing good for him. He survived
- 35:22Speaker 1: a lot of other waves of cuts. Unfortunately it caught
- 35:27Speaker 1: up with him this time. He should have read jtg's book.
- 35:30Speaker 1: See if you would have read jtg's book, he would
- 35:32Speaker 1: have known, don't answer your phone. Unfortunately he answered his
- 35:36Speaker 1: phone and he ended up on the list, Andre Chase
- 35:41Speaker 1: and Dante Chen. They were also released from NXT. Chase
- 35:46Speaker 1: he had not been on NXT television since January. I
- 35:50Speaker 1: think the peak of the whole Chase youth thing that
- 35:53Speaker 1: was some time ago, as it is Dante Chen. He
- 35:56Speaker 1: was the first Singaporean wrestler ever signed to w WE.
- 36:01Speaker 1: He tweeted saying five years, one hundred and forty seven matches,
- 36:05Speaker 1: Thank you, WWE. And I don't think he meant it
- 36:09Speaker 1: this way. But if that isn't an argument for the
- 36:12Speaker 1: the need for more house shows, I don't know what
- 36:15Speaker 1: is one hundred and forty seven matches in five years
- 36:18Speaker 1: isn't very many matches. But he was never really used
- 36:21Speaker 1: as anything other than, you know, like a lower card,
- 36:24Speaker 1: almost like an enhancement guy to really make the other
- 36:26Speaker 1: person look good. I don't ever remember him being pushed
- 36:29Speaker 1: in a serious way, even in NXT the appearances I
- 36:32Speaker 1: remember him making, I don't believe he was ever seriously pushed.
- 36:38Speaker 1: Tyra May Steele is gone. She won a gold medal
- 36:41Speaker 1: in the twenty twenty Tokyo Olympics, first female winner from
- 36:46Speaker 1: the first season of WWELFG. She is gone. This is
- 36:51Speaker 1: this is a kind of a an eerie one. I
- 36:56Speaker 1: don't know how many of you were paying attention to this,
- 36:58Speaker 1: but if you remember last month she tweeted. It was
- 37:02Speaker 1: a very weird tweet and some people took it to
- 37:05Speaker 1: mean that she had been released by WWE, and WWE,
- 37:08Speaker 1: I guess had to put a statement out saying she
- 37:11Speaker 1: is in fact not released and she's still under contract.
- 37:14Speaker 1: But she had tweeted something about I guess having a
- 37:17Speaker 1: dream or having a nightmare that resulted in her being
- 37:21Speaker 1: released by WWE. But she was just talking about a dream.
- 37:24Speaker 1: She was talking about a nightmare that she had. One
- 37:27Speaker 1: month later, that nightmare has become a reality because she
- 37:30Speaker 1: has in fact been released by WWE. So that's a
- 37:33Speaker 1: little eerie. And the other names on this list you
- 37:37Speaker 1: may or may not know. I only know a handful
- 37:40Speaker 1: of them. Serena Linton, Tyson DuPont, Tyreek, Iguay, Chris Island,
- 37:47Speaker 1: Malik Blade, Trill London, and Luca Crucifino, who I think
- 37:54Speaker 1: had been doing stuff in Evolve. They are all gone
- 37:57Speaker 1: from WWE. So those are the names that we know
- 38:00Speaker 1: of so far. By my count I believe that makes
- 38:02Speaker 1: twenty four. It's somewhere in that two dozen range and
- 38:06Speaker 1: there could be more yet to come. This is all
- 38:08Speaker 1: broken just in the last several hours. Sometimes these things
- 38:12Speaker 1: will drag on into the weekend or the beginning of
- 38:15Speaker 1: the following week. Hopefully that's all of them. Again, no
- 38:18Speaker 1: one takes pleasure, and if you do, again, you're an asshole.
- 38:22Speaker 1: No one takes pleasure in hearing that somebody got fired,
- 38:25Speaker 1: so you know, randomly released, they lost their job, unless
- 38:27Speaker 1: there's a damn good reason for it. Some people, Yeah,
- 38:30Speaker 1: if it's a disciplinary thing, that's a different story, but
- 38:33Speaker 1: that doesn't seem to be the case here. And I
- 38:35Speaker 1: would be very curious to find out more about the
- 38:37Speaker 1: Alistair black one, if that in fact was a release,
- 38:41Speaker 1: or if it was something if it was a case
- 38:42Speaker 1: where his wife was released and he's kind of standing
- 38:47Speaker 1: with her and opted to leave on his own volition. Again,
- 38:49Speaker 1: I don't know if that's what happened here. We'll wait
- 38:52Speaker 1: for more information. It's just a terrible thing if you
- 38:56Speaker 1: are in that position, because I'm sure for a lot
- 38:59Speaker 1: of these people they've been through it before, and a
- 39:00Speaker 1: lot of them haven't. And it's a terrible phone call
- 39:04Speaker 1: to get and then you wonder, okay, well, what's next
- 39:06Speaker 1: for me. It's a little bit different. If your an
- 39:08Speaker 1: established name, you'll probably be fine. Some of these names
- 39:13Speaker 1: that they want to continue wrestling if they were out
- 39:15Speaker 1: of the PC, let's say, they don't know, you know,
- 39:18Speaker 1: they don't know where their future is going to take them.
- 39:21Speaker 1: Some of these names on this list, whether it's again
- 39:23Speaker 1: a Kyrie Saying or Santos Escobar, Zoe Stark, someone like that.
- 39:31Speaker 1: There are companies, whether it be a TNA or an
- 39:33Speaker 1: AW or what have you, MLW that will absolutely be
- 39:37Speaker 1: able to use them and hopefully they will land on
- 39:41Speaker 1: their feet and they will do well. And who's to
- 39:42Speaker 1: say that, you know, years from now WWE doesn't come
- 39:45Speaker 1: calling again. That's what happens sometimes, you know, you get released,
- 39:49Speaker 1: shit happens, You go out, you work, you make yourself
- 39:53Speaker 1: into a bigger name and a hotter commodity, and all
- 39:55Speaker 1: of a sudden one day ww's like, hey, you know,
- 39:57Speaker 1: let's have a conversation. And there have been ex samples
- 40:00Speaker 1: of this before of people that have left or been
- 40:02Speaker 1: fired and have come back, and hopefully that will be
- 40:04Speaker 1: the case with some of these folks. You know, if
- 40:07Speaker 1: they want to work for WWE again, hopefully that will
- 40:10Speaker 1: be the case for them, Hopefully they'll land on their feet.
- 40:13Speaker 1: But just some of these names are just puzzling to me.
- 40:17Speaker 1: I would be curious to see if any news comes
- 40:19Speaker 1: out about why someone like a Kyrie saying, in the
- 40:22Speaker 1: middle of a story like that on Monday night, Raw
- 40:26Speaker 1: is suddenly let go. I don't understand that. That doesn't
- 40:29Speaker 1: make any sense to me. If there were names on
- 40:32Speaker 1: this list that were, you know, bigger names, let's say,
- 40:35Speaker 1: and you look at that and you hear, oh, man,
- 40:37Speaker 1: this person was making you know, high six figures and
- 40:40Speaker 1: they're not really being used in a high six figure
- 40:42Speaker 1: kind of way, and WWE decided, you know what, that
- 40:45Speaker 1: contract has to go. It sucks, But I can understand
- 40:49Speaker 1: that at least there's a logic to that. To me,
- 40:51Speaker 1: there's no logic in some of these names being on
- 40:54Speaker 1: this list. I don't understand it. And in some cases, yes,
- 40:57Speaker 1: you can look at it and go to, wwe really
- 40:59Speaker 1: drop the ball on this person or that person. But
- 41:02Speaker 1: then there are other names where you know what, it
- 41:04Speaker 1: cuts both ways. Sorry to say, some of these cuts
- 41:09Speaker 1: are not surprising at all. Sometimes there are names that
- 41:14Speaker 1: are going to be cut and they've got to make
- 41:15Speaker 1: room for new ones. We have new NXT call ups.
- 41:19Speaker 1: That was something we saw on Raw Monday Night, Ethan Page,
- 41:22Speaker 1: Soul Ruka even earlier this year, Obafemi, Javon Evans, Trick Williams,
- 41:29Speaker 1: Jordan Grace. You have to make room for the next
- 41:34Speaker 1: generation of stars, which also means that as new names
- 41:38Speaker 1: come in, there are going to be names that have
- 41:40Speaker 1: to go out. And we've talked about this issue with
- 41:42Speaker 1: AW before. They have a gigantic roster and they signed
- 41:47Speaker 1: and they signed, and they signed, and they sign people
- 41:49Speaker 1: and you don't hear stories a lot about people who
- 41:52Speaker 1: are leaving, about people who are being released, which in
- 41:55Speaker 1: a way is is kind of good. But you can
- 41:59Speaker 1: get to a point where the roster becomes overloaded, and
- 42:02Speaker 1: that's not good either because then you have people who
- 42:05Speaker 1: become unhappy because they're not being utilized because there's only
- 42:07Speaker 1: so much television time, right, it kind of cuts both ways.
- 42:11Speaker 1: That's why everybody on this list can't just go to
- 42:13Speaker 1: AAW But that's why it's also good to have multiple
- 42:17Speaker 1: places to go work aw TNA MLW. I mean you
- 42:21Speaker 1: also have a Ring of Honor, which is technically still
- 42:23Speaker 1: aaw but it's good to have multiple places to work.
- 42:27Speaker 1: This is an example of why this is something WWE
- 42:31Speaker 1: does just about every single year, and it's to be expected.
- 42:35Speaker 1: It sucks, but it's part of life. When you work
- 42:40Speaker 1: for that company, you have to accept that it's part
- 42:43Speaker 1: of life. At some point, they're going to turn around
- 42:45Speaker 1: when you're of no use to them, You're of no
- 42:47Speaker 1: value to them anymore, and they're gonna say goodbye. And
- 42:50Speaker 1: the question is do you have a backup plan on
- 42:53Speaker 1: what it is that you want to do. This week's
- 42:57Speaker 1: episode is sponsored by Wicks. Look's a web designer. Okay,
- 43:01Speaker 1: when I started my first site years ago, I used
- 43:03Speaker 1: to edit code in a Windows Notepad document. But playing
- 43:06Speaker 1: around with wix Harmony, it kind of makes me feel
- 43:09Speaker 1: like one. Wix Harmony is an AI website builder that
- 43:12Speaker 1: lets you build what you want and then builds the

- 43:27Speaker 1: It puts the power in your hands to build and

- 43:33Speaker 1: is it that you can create an entire website just
- 43:35Speaker 1: by typing in a single prompt and describing your idea.
- 43:39Speaker 1: Then you can click on any part of your site
- 43:41Speaker 1: and ask Aria to edit it for you. She's there
- 43:44Speaker 1: to help you create faster and more efficiently. So really

- 44:31Speaker 1: now at wis dot com slash harmony. That's wis dot
- 44:34Speaker 1: com slash harmony. I mentioned there being some NXT call
- 44:39Speaker 1: ups on the show tonight. Raw Monday Night, we saw
- 44:41Speaker 1: who they were there, it only made sense that we
- 44:44Speaker 1: would have more NXT call ups on the show tonight,
- 44:46Speaker 1: and we did fatal influence the entire trio. J C.
- 44:49Speaker 1: Jane Fallon, Henley Laney read they're officially now part of
- 44:53Speaker 1: the SmackDown roster. We also learned tonight that Blake Monroe
- 44:58Speaker 1: the Glamour is on her way to SmackDown. That is
- 45:03Speaker 1: long overdue and a move that I think will absolutely
- 45:08Speaker 1: strengthen the women's division on that show, as will fatal influence.
- 45:12Speaker 1: Ricky Saints is on his way to smack Then. He
- 45:15Speaker 1: did not debut tonight, but we did get a vignette
- 45:17Speaker 1: for him, and he is going to be making his
- 45:18Speaker 1: debut in Tulsa next week, which would mean that Ricky
- 45:24Speaker 1: Saints and Royce Keys are going to be reunited. Two
- 45:28Speaker 1: former members of Team TAZ going to be reunited here
- 45:31Speaker 1: on this show. And again, these are moves that were
- 45:35Speaker 1: were needed, especially after what we saw Monday night. SmackDown
- 45:38Speaker 1: needed a boost. They got that boost. One boost I
- 45:41Speaker 1: thought the show might get was the addition of Cmpunk.
- 45:44Speaker 1: There was no mention of cmpunk on the show today,
- 45:46Speaker 1: there was no cmpunk appearance. There was no indication that
- 45:49Speaker 1: cmpunk is going to be SmackDown bound. He still could be,
- 45:54Speaker 1: but for the time being, it doesn't look like that. Instead,
- 45:58Speaker 1: what we had in the main event was Solo Sokoa
- 46:02Speaker 1: against Jacob fa Tu, who was both on Raw Monday
- 46:06Speaker 1: and on SmackDown tonight. And I'm all for more Jacob
- 46:09Speaker 1: fa too. I think he's got a huge upside. I'm
- 46:11Speaker 1: a big Jacob fa two fan. I have no issue
- 46:14Speaker 1: with that. But we had the bloodline stuff close the
- 46:18Speaker 1: show out on Monday night. How did they open the
- 46:21Speaker 1: show tonight with the bloodline stuff? How much of the
- 46:26Speaker 1: bloodline are we going to get across these two shows?
- 46:29Speaker 1: It was jarring to see on a day where so
- 46:32Speaker 1: many non bloodline names were released and lost their jobs,
- 46:37Speaker 1: and they just seemed to be flooding the zone with
- 46:39Speaker 1: more bloodline stuff on these shows. It was very noticeable.
- 46:47Speaker 1: But Jacob is looking for an answer on Monday from
- 46:49Speaker 1: Roman Reigns, so tonight what they wanted to do was
- 46:51Speaker 1: get him in the main event and get a win
- 46:53Speaker 1: under his belt and push the story of him in Roman.
- 46:56Speaker 1: Is that going to be the match of Backlash or not,
- 46:58Speaker 1: we won't know until Monday night. But that is why
- 47:01Speaker 1: they did what they did today, and the USO's by
- 47:03Speaker 1: the way, they crossed over from Raw to SmackDown tonight
- 47:06Speaker 1: as well, because what brand split. There is no fucking
- 47:09Speaker 1: brand split. They can go wherever they want to go,
- 47:12Speaker 1: so they decided to show up on SmackDown tonight. Cody Rhodes,
- 47:17Speaker 1: his eye is all fucked up after the WRESTLEMANI a
- 47:20Speaker 1: Night one main event. I thought we would get some
- 47:22Speaker 1: sort of injury update on him tonight. We didn't. He
- 47:26Speaker 1: came out, he cut a promo, a very basic promo,
- 47:29Speaker 1: certainly nothing as interesting as what we saw with him
- 47:31Speaker 1: in Punk on Monday. But there was no mention of
- 47:33Speaker 1: whether or not he suffered some sort of injury. I mean,
- 47:38Speaker 1: beyond just what we see with our own two eyes,
- 47:41Speaker 1: or if he's medically cleared, or when he might be
- 47:43Speaker 1: back in the ring. There was nothing. There was nothing.
- 47:46Speaker 1: His eye still looks all gnarly. It'll be a few
- 47:48Speaker 1: weeks before he heals up. Doesn't look like he's probably
- 47:52Speaker 1: going to be in the ring at Backlash, which I
- 47:54Speaker 1: guess doesn't really matter. If they have Roman defending his
- 47:57Speaker 1: title on that show. We had more bloodline on the show,
- 48:01Speaker 1: and honestly, beyond that, we do have a new United
- 48:04Speaker 1: States Champion on the women's side. We're going to get
- 48:07Speaker 1: into that. This was not a great show. I do
- 48:12Speaker 1: like the fact that we're getting some new faces on
- 48:14Speaker 1: the show. I think that it's absolutely needed. I think, frankly,
- 48:18Speaker 1: a whole fucking reset is needed with this show, in
- 48:21Speaker 1: this entire product, and we're getting that to some degree
- 48:24Speaker 1: with some of these new faces that have been called up.
- 48:27Speaker 1: But this was not a great show tonight. It was
- 48:30Speaker 1: a decent show. There were definitely things I liked, and
- 48:32Speaker 1: there were definitely things I did like, and that was
- 48:34Speaker 1: really the story of smack then, And we're going to
- 48:36Speaker 1: get into all of it here because this is your
- 48:37Speaker 1: Friday Night SmackDown review on a very newsworthy night. It
- 48:42Speaker 1: is Friday night, April twenty fifth, twenty twenty six. I
- 48:47Speaker 1: am the solemn Monster, like and subscribe. Thank you again
- 48:51Speaker 1: for helping me smash ninety two thousand subscribers earlier this week.
- 48:56Speaker 1: I very much appreciate that. Onward we go spin the wheel.
- 49:01Speaker 1: Not a very really mood tonight, But let's find out
- 49:04Speaker 1: how many likes we need to do Be the Booker
- 49:06Speaker 1: later on, little thing we do at the end of
- 49:10Speaker 1: these streams, five hundred and thirty. That is the goal
- 49:19Speaker 1: for tonight. So get those likes up, and we're already
- 49:22Speaker 1: at four to forty five, so I think we're going
- 49:23Speaker 1: to do pretty well. But that is the goal for
- 49:27Speaker 1: Be the Booker tonight. Let's take it from the very
- 49:31Speaker 1: top here. We got a lot to get into here.
- 49:33Speaker 1: I got a lot to say about this show. But
- 49:36Speaker 1: it started the same way it ended on Monday Night.
- 49:39Speaker 1: We saw Jacob fought Too close the show. He opened
- 49:41Speaker 1: the show tonight and he made his way down to
- 49:44Speaker 1: the ring after having just challenged Roman Reigns, the brand
- 49:47Speaker 1: new World Heavyweight Champion, to a match at Backlash for
- 49:50Speaker 1: the title, and I thought that that meant that Jacob
- 49:53Speaker 1: was moving to Monday Night Row. Now maybe he is,
- 49:56Speaker 1: we don't know, because he was right back on SmackDown
- 49:59Speaker 1: this week, not only in this segment, but he closed
- 50:01Speaker 1: the show in the main event. So who the fuck
- 50:04Speaker 1: knows what brand Jacob Fought Too is ultimately gonna land on.
- 50:08Speaker 1: But he comes out and he states that he told
- 50:10Speaker 1: Roman that he wanted him and that he needed the
- 50:14Speaker 1: world title, and then Roman looked at him in the
- 50:16Speaker 1: eye and said, you're not ready. The truth is Roman
- 50:20Speaker 1: was right because what Roman told him has been something
- 50:23Speaker 1: that he's heard from his friends and family his entire life.
- 50:27Speaker 1: If Roman thinks he's not ready, he better step up
- 50:30Speaker 1: in the ring to prove it. And that brought out
- 50:33Speaker 1: the USOS, who evidently forgot what day of the week
- 50:37Speaker 1: it was they came out here on SmackDown, Jimmy said
- 50:40Speaker 1: that he heard what fat I had to say on
- 50:42Speaker 1: Monday about how he wanted to level up for his family,
- 50:46Speaker 1: and he said, Cody defended his title, but he's slipping.
- 50:50Speaker 1: He said that that should be his target, not Roman,
- 50:53Speaker 1: and he warned not to go after the ot scene.
- 50:55Speaker 1: Instead run the play with the family and the fans.
- 50:58Speaker 1: I will point out the fans were booing there like
- 51:01Speaker 1: these two guys were heels, and Jimmy basically said, just
- 51:05Speaker 1: ignore them, don't listen to what these people have to say. Said,
- 51:09Speaker 1: they're not going to give you that lifestyle, they're not
- 51:11Speaker 1: going to give you the big money, they're not going
- 51:13Speaker 1: to put your kids in nicer schools. So then Jay
- 51:16Speaker 1: chimed in and he said, it's too late. He said,
- 51:18Speaker 1: Jacob stepped up, he opened his mouth. He said that
- 51:21Speaker 1: it was time to see if he can swim in
- 51:23Speaker 1: the deep end, and to get respect from Roman, you
- 51:26Speaker 1: need to walk up to him, look him in the eye,
- 51:28Speaker 1: and get ready for war. So now the MFTs were
- 51:32Speaker 1: out all but Tallatanga. He was never mentioned, he was
- 51:37Speaker 1: never seen. It's as if he just didn't exist in
- 51:41Speaker 1: this world anymore, which again has me wondering if we're
- 51:44Speaker 1: going to see his name on a list very soon.
- 51:47Speaker 1: Hopefully he's just sick or maybe he missed his flight.
- 51:50Speaker 1: But on a day where you had about two dozen
- 51:53Speaker 1: people released from this company, not a good time to
- 51:58Speaker 1: be no showing here on this show. It's probably not
- 52:00Speaker 1: a good sign. But the other members of the MFTs
- 52:04Speaker 1: came out. Solo Sokoa said the usos were lying to him.
- 52:08Speaker 1: He took credit for bringing Jacob into WWE. He said,
- 52:12Speaker 1: fat Tu wasn't going to beat Roman alone. He's going
- 52:14Speaker 1: to need an army in the form of the MFTs.
- 52:18Speaker 1: Tom A Tonga then swiped the microphone out of Solo's
- 52:21Speaker 1: hand and he asked him, why are we wasting our
- 52:23Speaker 1: time with this? He said, fat Tow is a lost
- 52:26Speaker 1: cause he couldn't even beat you. So Toma got super
- 52:31Speaker 1: kicked by Jacob, who told Solo that the only one
- 52:34Speaker 1: who should be talking to him right now is Roman
- 52:36Speaker 1: Reigns and Fatu then issued the challenge to Solo to
- 52:39Speaker 1: face him later tonight in the main event. This was
- 52:44Speaker 1: your typical revolving Door WWE opening promo segment. As far
- 52:50Speaker 1: as continuing the Bloodline stuff from Monday into Friday, I
- 52:53Speaker 1: really wish we would get some more variety on these shows.
- 52:56Speaker 1: I mean, if they want to put up a some
- 53:00Speaker 1: semblance of or pretend that there's a real split going
- 53:04Speaker 1: on here, I don't think we need. You know, the
- 53:06Speaker 1: bloodline stuff takes up enough oxygen as it is, and
- 53:08Speaker 1: that's fine on Monday, but if that's where Roman's gonna be,
- 53:11Speaker 1: I don't know why we need it on this show
- 53:13Speaker 1: as well, when there's so many other people who could
- 53:16Speaker 1: use that time. But Jacob being featured in a title
- 53:21Speaker 1: role like this where he's like the main player, I
- 53:23Speaker 1: can get behind that that I do like. I like
- 53:27Speaker 1: the added focus on him. He got that big win
- 53:29Speaker 1: at WrestleMania over Drew McIntyre, who was not on this show.
- 53:33Speaker 1: Maybe he's off filming more for his Highlander movie. So
- 53:38Speaker 1: they sent it to Kathy Kelly in the back, who
- 53:41Speaker 1: interviewed Julia and Keanna James about Julia's upcoming US title
- 53:45Speaker 1: match with Tiffany Stratton, and Keanu said that they were
- 53:48Speaker 1: both mad about the lack of respect. She said it
- 53:52Speaker 1: only lit a fire under them to beat Tiffany. Julia
- 53:55Speaker 1: said she feels no pressure, only anger. Julia was very
- 53:58Speaker 1: upset about being left off the right card, and I'm
- 54:01Speaker 1: sure some of that is very real emotion, because I'm
- 54:05Speaker 1: sure she was not happy about being left off that card,
- 54:07Speaker 1: as I believe the only singles champion right or certainly
- 54:12Speaker 1: one of them. I mean, we know that both women's
- 54:14Speaker 1: world titles were defended, and we know the women's I
- 54:17Speaker 1: see and the women's tag titles were defended, so Julia
- 54:20Speaker 1: was the only women's champion on the main roster to
- 54:22Speaker 1: not have a title match either, not of WrestleMania. I
- 54:25Speaker 1: would be upset too if I were her. If you
- 54:28Speaker 1: watch their body language and listen to what they were
- 54:30Speaker 1: saying here in this segment, they're definitely teasing a split
- 54:34Speaker 1: between these two. Julia was not happy with Keana. Keanu
- 54:37Speaker 1: was not happy with Julia. They were both being very
- 54:41Speaker 1: snippy with each other, which I think is long overdue.
- 54:44Speaker 1: I don't see this pairing has not helped either one
- 54:46Speaker 1: of them. How has this pairing really benefited Julia. Like
- 54:52Speaker 1: the sooner they split them, the I would like to say,
- 54:54Speaker 1: the better off they'll be, But then again, I don't
- 54:56Speaker 1: know if that's necessarily a good thing for Julia and
- 54:58Speaker 1: her long term future in this company, especially after what
- 55:01Speaker 1: we saw here. In this next match, which was Julia
- 55:05Speaker 1: defending her United States Championship against Tiffany Stratton, fast paced
- 55:09Speaker 1: early on, they had dueling pinfall attempts from both women.
- 55:13Speaker 1: Tiffany grabbed Keana when she tried to interfere. Julia tried
- 55:16Speaker 1: to come in for something. She accidentally collides with Keana,
- 55:20Speaker 1: and I'm just saying, uh oh, that's not good. Tiffany
- 55:24Speaker 1: hit Julia with her rolling sent on. She went up
- 55:26Speaker 1: top for the prettiest Moonsalt ever, and Julia caught her
- 55:30Speaker 1: on the way down into what I thought was going
- 55:32Speaker 1: to be an armbar, but she transitioned into kind of
- 55:36Speaker 1: like a Rings of Saturn. It was actually a very
- 55:39Speaker 1: cool counter of the pme. So Tiffany got out of it,
- 55:42Speaker 1: but then she got blasted with the Arrivaderchi. Ni, what
- 55:45Speaker 1: a sin it would be. By the way, if they
- 55:48Speaker 1: let Julia go and they're a month out from their
- 55:53Speaker 1: first show, their first plee in Italy, can you imagine here?
- 55:58Speaker 1: I was like a month ago to moth Ago, thinking, oh,
- 56:00Speaker 1: Julia should get a match on that show, or she's
- 56:02Speaker 1: got some Battalion roots. She could defend her title on
- 56:05Speaker 1: that show. She may not even be employed by the
- 56:08Speaker 1: time they get to that show. The way things are going,
- 56:12Speaker 1: how fucked up would that be? So Tiffany reversed the
- 56:17Speaker 1: Northern Lights bomb into an Alabama Slam. She followed with
- 56:20Speaker 1: the prettiest moon Salt ever. This time it connected, and
- 56:23Speaker 1: Tiffany Stratton is your brand new United States Champion. I
- 56:29Speaker 1: thought it was and it went about eight minutes. I
- 56:31Speaker 1: thought it was solid for those eight minutes. But again,
- 56:34Speaker 1: Julia losing the title today, of all days, you gonna
- 56:39Speaker 1: tell me I'm wrong not to be worried for this woman.
- 56:42Speaker 1: I think that's a terrible sign. I think that's a
- 56:45Speaker 1: very bad sign for her future. But as far as
- 56:48Speaker 1: her second run, she had two runs as the United
- 56:50Speaker 1: States Champion, and neither of them were successful, because if
- 56:55Speaker 1: they were successful, then she wouldn't be in the position
- 56:59Speaker 1: that she's in right now where I feel again, I
- 57:01Speaker 1: feel like she's on the bubble. I feel like she
- 57:04Speaker 1: may be a lost cause on this show. They've never
- 57:07Speaker 1: really fully gotten behind her. They've never really allowed her
- 57:10Speaker 1: to go out there. And again, this was eight minutes.
- 57:14Speaker 1: That's decent enough. She really hasn't had the chance to
- 57:17Speaker 1: go out there and engage with somebody in a way
- 57:19Speaker 1: where she can really show off what she can do.
- 57:22Speaker 1: I'm not saying she has to go out there and
- 57:23Speaker 1: stiff people and injure them. I'm just saying we really
- 57:25Speaker 1: haven't seen Julia, the real Julia. We have yet to
- 57:27Speaker 1: see her on SmackDown. We saw more of her in
- 57:30Speaker 1: NXT than we have on SmackDown, and she's another one.
- 57:34Speaker 1: I mentioned the Motor City machine Guns right, very talented.
- 57:37Speaker 1: I like those guys. They weren't over, they weren't getting
- 57:41Speaker 1: reactions on the show. Julia goes out there, she doesn't
- 57:43Speaker 1: get any reactions on the show. You can be a
- 57:46Speaker 1: Julia fan, but you can't be blind to this, and
- 57:49Speaker 1: that's what worries me, But I just feel like they
- 57:52Speaker 1: haven't really done a whole lot with her. She's walking
- 57:55Speaker 1: around with a championship. That's great, but what does that
- 57:57Speaker 1: really mean if you're not doing a whole hell of
- 57:59Speaker 1: a lot on the show show. And I also don't
- 58:02Speaker 1: think they trust her on promos because she'll she'll speak,
- 58:04Speaker 1: but it's like in sound bites and if you've heard Julia,
- 58:08Speaker 1: her English is actually not that bad. Like she could
- 58:11Speaker 1: go out there in the back or wherever and cut
- 58:14Speaker 1: a promo if they wanted her to cut a promo
- 58:15Speaker 1: on somebody. But I just feel like they don't let
- 58:18Speaker 1: her go out there and do what she can do,
- 58:22Speaker 1: you know, to the best of her ability. She's kind
- 58:24Speaker 1: of limited in that way. And you couple that with
- 58:28Speaker 1: the fact that she's just not getting over with the audience.
- 58:31Speaker 1: That's the kiss of death. I think they see more
- 58:34Speaker 1: in Keana James than they do in Julia. I think
- 58:37Speaker 1: of the two, if I had to say one is
- 58:39Speaker 1: safe and the other is not, I think Keana is safe.
- 58:42Speaker 1: I really do. I think they see Keana as somebody
- 58:44Speaker 1: who could really be a player in that women's division.
- 58:48Speaker 1: I don't think they see Julia the same way. It sucks,
- 58:51Speaker 1: but I really don't. I've seen nothing that they have
- 58:55Speaker 1: done on these shows to demonstrate to me that they
- 58:58Speaker 1: see the value in Julia in being a real top
- 59:03Speaker 1: tier player in that women's division. And it doesn't help
- 59:09Speaker 1: that she was left off the WrestleMania card, the only
- 59:11Speaker 1: champion to be left off the WrestleMania card. We got
- 59:15Speaker 1: a pre tape vignette of Dan Hausen. I think they
- 59:19Speaker 1: said this was earlier today or earlier this week, visiting
- 59:23Speaker 1: the miss's house. The misses living in this palatial estate.
- 59:27Speaker 1: I don't know if this was his real house, probably not,
- 59:30Speaker 1: but whatever, it's a beautiful home. Whoever's house it is.
- 59:33Speaker 1: It's like when Cody Rhodes went to Drew McIntyre's house
- 59:36Speaker 1: that that wasn't Drew McIntire's house. But anyway, so he
- 59:40Speaker 1: goes and he rings the doorbell and miss you know,
- 59:46Speaker 1: he opens the door. He can't believe. First of all,
- 59:49Speaker 1: he opens the door, nobody's there. But then he turns
- 59:52Speaker 1: around and Dan Hausen has somehow teleported into his house,
- 59:58Speaker 1: and he asks him, you know what he you doing
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: in my house? How did you find my house? And
- 1:00:03Speaker 1: he orders him to leave and MS turns around. I
- 1:00:06Speaker 1: think to close the door or open the door, I
- 1:00:08Speaker 1: don't know whatever. But he turns back around and dan
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: Housen is gone. So Mis goes walking through the house
- 1:00:15Speaker 1: and he goes to the backyard and he finds Dan
- 1:00:17Speaker 1: Housen is lounging in his pool, and the Mis he
- 1:00:24Speaker 1: does not want Dan house in the lounging in his pool,
- 1:00:27Speaker 1: and he says, get out of my pool, and so
- 1:00:28Speaker 1: he did. But all he did was teleport himself into
- 1:00:32Speaker 1: the outer pool. It's the best way I could describe.
- 1:00:35Speaker 1: It's like a main pool in the middle, and then
- 1:00:37Speaker 1: there's like kind of like an outer pool. He goes, well,
- 1:00:39Speaker 1: I am he told me to get out of that pool.
- 1:00:41Speaker 1: So now I'm in the other pool and MS just
- 1:00:44Speaker 1: comes charging at him. Of course, no one's there, and
- 1:00:46Speaker 1: MS falls in the water, and it says in the
- 1:00:49Speaker 1: corner of the screen to be continued. So we're going
- 1:00:53Speaker 1: to get a follow up vignette later on in the show.
- 1:00:58Speaker 1: I look guilt, call my guilty pleasure. I got a
- 1:01:03Speaker 1: kick out of this. We come back, Tiffany Stratton is
- 1:01:07Speaker 1: being interviewed by was it Kathy? I thin Kathy was
- 1:01:10Speaker 1: the one who was interviewing her, not on the stage,
- 1:01:13Speaker 1: but it was kind of like this was one of
- 1:01:15Speaker 1: those weird things where they're filming this and you could
- 1:01:17Speaker 1: see the crowd in the background, but they're kind of
- 1:01:19Speaker 1: by the stage or just kind of off to the side,
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: and she's going to do an interview here with Tiffany,
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: the brand new champion, and Tiffany said it felt amazing
- 1:01:28Speaker 1: to be on top again, she was no longer stuck
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: in second place as the runner up. Said that she's
- 1:01:34Speaker 1: ready to show that the WWE is operating on Tiffy time,
- 1:01:42Speaker 1: but she's interrupted. She's interrupted by bre Mode. Out comes
- 1:01:48Speaker 1: bri Bella with her shiny new Women's Tag Team Championship belt.
- 1:01:52Speaker 1: She raises it high above her head, and then Page
- 1:01:55Speaker 1: comes out, and this was Page's return to SmackDown. She
- 1:01:59Speaker 1: used to the general manager on this show, I believe
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: many years ago, almost a decade ago. So she comes
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: out with her tag team title, and the champions made
- 1:02:09Speaker 1: their way down to the ring and bre noted that,
- 1:02:11Speaker 1: you know, while it's a shame that she couldn't win
- 1:02:13Speaker 1: these titles with her sister, shout out to Nikki. She's
- 1:02:16Speaker 1: at home recovery. She was more than happy to do
- 1:02:19Speaker 1: so alongside an old friend like Page, and she welcomed
- 1:02:24Speaker 1: Paige back to WWE. So Page spoke and she was
- 1:02:30Speaker 1: starting to lose her voice. She apologized. She said that
- 1:02:33Speaker 1: she had a hectic week when she got the call
- 1:02:36Speaker 1: from Brie though about tagging with her at WrestleMania. She
- 1:02:40Speaker 1: said that that was something that she couldn't say no to.
- 1:02:43Speaker 1: She was more than happy to answer, and she said
- 1:02:46Speaker 1: it was a rough road to get back here, but
- 1:02:48Speaker 1: she was happy to be back home. SmackDown is still
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: her house, she said. So that brought out Charlotte Flair
- 1:02:54Speaker 1: and Alexa Bliss, and Flair said that she could speak
- 1:02:58Speaker 1: for herself and Alexa and welcoming Page back, but she
- 1:03:01Speaker 1: had something that belonged to them, and Charlotte suggested that
- 1:03:04Speaker 1: if Page wanted to prove that she was the best,
- 1:03:07Speaker 1: she and Brie could defend their women's tag team titles
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: against the two of them. So the challenge was accepted.
- 1:03:13Speaker 1: They called for a referee. Here comes Charles Robinson charging
- 1:03:16Speaker 1: down to the ring like it's WrestleMania twenty four all
- 1:03:18Speaker 1: over again, and that took us into the commercial break.
- 1:03:22Speaker 1: That is, two impromptu matches on this show so far
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: that had been made, which again begs the question what
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: is Nick All this doing? During the week, he continues
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: to make the case for the worst general manager in WWE.
- 1:03:38Speaker 1: So they come back from break and the title match
- 1:03:41Speaker 1: here is already in progress Bliss and Flair. They cut
- 1:03:44Speaker 1: the ring in half on Brie. Brie was about to
- 1:03:47Speaker 1: make a hot tag to Page when who should show
- 1:03:50Speaker 1: up and pull her down off the apron and send
- 1:03:51Speaker 1: her into the ring steps J C. Jane and the
- 1:03:56Speaker 1: referee calls for the disqualification fallon. Henley and Laney Reid
- 1:04:01Speaker 1: of Fatal Influence also show up and they beat down
- 1:04:05Speaker 1: Flair and Bliss, and they left all four women laying.
- 1:04:08Speaker 1: So Fatal Influence has arrived here officially on SmackDown, and
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: the match itself, it wasn't a match, it was an angle.
- 1:04:16Speaker 1: It was a means to get to the Fatal Influence arrival.
- 1:04:20Speaker 1: That's all this was. I love the move. I think
- 1:04:24Speaker 1: it is something that this roster in this show sorely needs,
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: not just more talent, but more talent in the women's division.
- 1:04:32Speaker 1: Although I could also sit here and tell you that
- 1:04:34Speaker 1: part of the problem isn't necessarily the lack of women
- 1:04:38Speaker 1: in the women's division. It is the lack of really
- 1:04:41Speaker 1: understanding what to do with most of the women that
- 1:04:44Speaker 1: they already have in the division, because you have people
- 1:04:47Speaker 1: like Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss pages back now who
- 1:04:52Speaker 1: are still doing stuff in the tag team division. Like
- 1:04:57Speaker 1: if they were all gunning for the world champion, if
- 1:04:58Speaker 1: Alexa Bliss, if charlot at Flair wanted to go after
- 1:05:01Speaker 1: Rhea Ripley's title, which I would assume in time they will,
- 1:05:05Speaker 1: that would make things a lot more interesting as it
- 1:05:07Speaker 1: pertains to the WWE Women's Championship. But that's just not
- 1:05:11Speaker 1: the case right now. So, like when you're thinking about
- 1:05:13Speaker 1: Rhea Ripley and her upcoming challengers, what do you think
- 1:05:16Speaker 1: of I'm sure she's not done with Jade, right, Jade
- 1:05:19Speaker 1: wasn't on the show tonight, but I'm sure Jade will
- 1:05:21Speaker 1: get her rematch at some point. And then after that,
- 1:05:24Speaker 1: who are we looking at? Tiffany Stratton just won the
- 1:05:27Speaker 1: US title, Blake Monroe hasn't even debuted yet. So when
- 1:05:30Speaker 1: I think of potential challengers in these next few months
- 1:05:34Speaker 1: for Rihea Ripley, it's a short list. After Jade it's
- 1:05:39Speaker 1: a short list. Jordan Grace. Now, Jordan Grace was also
- 1:05:45Speaker 1: Jade's first feud. I mean, Jade went one hundred plus
- 1:05:49Speaker 1: days without a single title defense, if you remember, her
- 1:05:51Speaker 1: first defense was against Jordan, I believe, and then she lost.
- 1:05:55Speaker 1: So I would hate for Jordan to be using the
- 1:05:57Speaker 1: same role here where it's like, oh Riha needs an
- 1:05:59Speaker 1: opponent and then she goes in there and loses again.
- 1:06:02Speaker 1: But Rhea and Jordan, I mean, that has the makings
- 1:06:04Speaker 1: of a very good match. I'd love to see that
- 1:06:07Speaker 1: Keana James again. I think that they have big things
- 1:06:10Speaker 1: in her future. I think we see names like that,
- 1:06:13Speaker 1: you know, long before we get to a Charlotte or
- 1:06:15Speaker 1: an Alexa. But I've always liked Fallon Henley. I actually
- 1:06:21Speaker 1: thought at the time they put the belt on jac Jane.
- 1:06:24Speaker 1: And the thing with Jace is, you know, you look
- 1:06:27Speaker 1: at her rise to where she is now when I
- 1:06:30Speaker 1: used to look at fatal influence or a toxic I
- 1:06:34Speaker 1: guess Toxic Attraction was the first group that she was
- 1:06:36Speaker 1: a part of. I never saw her as being like
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: the world champion, right that was Mandy Rose. Mandy Rose
- 1:06:44Speaker 1: was like she was the NXT women's champion, and then
- 1:06:47Speaker 1: I would look at jac Jane and Jace maybe would
- 1:06:49Speaker 1: be like, you know, North American Champion or something like that.
- 1:06:54Speaker 1: And then they had her beat Stephanie Vicaire last year
- 1:06:58Speaker 1: in shocking fashion, and I didn't get it. I got
- 1:07:03Speaker 1: didn't understand it. I thought that Fallon Henley had a
- 1:07:06Speaker 1: bigger upside. I don't know why they went with her
- 1:07:08Speaker 1: and that Fallon they were part of the same group.
- 1:07:11Speaker 1: And I came around. Eventually, I came around and jayc
- 1:07:13Speaker 1: The more that I saw her work, she really leveled up.
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: And I again, Sean Michaels obviously was a huge fan
- 1:07:20Speaker 1: of her work. I've become more of a fan of
- 1:07:22Speaker 1: her work over time, certainly compared to a year ago.
- 1:07:26Speaker 1: So good for her. And now she's got the call
- 1:07:28Speaker 1: and she's on SmackDown now. But I wanted Fallon Henley
- 1:07:32Speaker 1: in that spot, if anybody so all that to say that,
- 1:07:35Speaker 1: I also think Fallon could do big things on this show,
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: and I like her now being on SmackDown. Lady Reid.
- 1:07:40Speaker 1: I haven't seen enough of her to really form an opinion. Honestly,
- 1:07:43Speaker 1: I haven't seen too much of her work. I mean,
- 1:07:47Speaker 1: she may be really good. I just I don't know,
- 1:07:49Speaker 1: So I'm looking forward to seeing more of what she
- 1:07:51Speaker 1: can do, not just in the ring, but even speaking
- 1:07:54Speaker 1: wise on this show. So I liked the move and
- 1:07:58Speaker 1: it injects some life into the division. We had Royce Keys,
- 1:08:03Speaker 1: of course, he is also one of the new members
- 1:08:05Speaker 1: of the SmackDown roster, and here we had a vignette
- 1:08:09Speaker 1: for him. Various people from Palo Alto, which is where
- 1:08:14Speaker 1: he's from, gave their thoughts on him, talked about how
- 1:08:17Speaker 1: proud they were of him. His brother, I believe, was
- 1:08:20Speaker 1: interviewed in here. He was also proud that, you know,
- 1:08:23Speaker 1: his brother was able to make it to the top.
- 1:08:26Speaker 1: And it was just one of these baby face vignettes
- 1:08:29Speaker 1: where they show him, you know, kind of going back
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: home and everybody's proud of him and pulling for him
- 1:08:35Speaker 1: and they look up to him. So after this, we
- 1:08:40Speaker 1: had the w w WEE Champion Cody Rhodes, fresh off
- 1:08:46Speaker 1: his win at WrestleMania against Randy Orton. He was out
- 1:08:49Speaker 1: to the ring next Black Eye and All. And he
- 1:08:52Speaker 1: gets in the ring and once the music stop, he
- 1:08:55Speaker 1: was showered with booze from the crowd. He said that
- 1:09:00Speaker 1: he wanted to talk about how he left WRESTLEMANI of
- 1:09:02Speaker 1: forty two battered, half conscious and bloodied. He still made
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: the decision to walk up that long ramp at Allegiant
- 1:09:10Speaker 1: Stadium to the back. Why because the moment that you
- 1:09:14Speaker 1: see him take that side ramp right and go along
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: the side, this run is over. Said at WrestleMania, he
- 1:09:21Speaker 1: wanted to send a message to Randy Orton, who was
- 1:09:23Speaker 1: not here tonight, so we didn't have Randy Orton on
- 1:09:26Speaker 1: the show either. With Randy Orton who started him out
- 1:09:29Speaker 1: in this sport and taught him everything he knows, he
- 1:09:31Speaker 1: wanted to send a message and walking back on his
- 1:09:34Speaker 1: own power that Randy Orton gave him his best shot,
- 1:09:36Speaker 1: a punt to the head and he's still standing. He
- 1:09:40Speaker 1: wants to send a message to a sarcastic and condescending
- 1:09:43Speaker 1: Sammy Zain who called him the Golden Boy. So he
- 1:09:47Speaker 1: showed up to WrestleMania draped in gold from head to
- 1:09:50Speaker 1: toe because he wanted to show that he was gold,
- 1:09:53Speaker 1: His family was gold, every fan of his was gold.
- 1:09:58Speaker 1: And the most important message he wanted to send was
- 1:10:00Speaker 1: those or to those outside forces. This is what he said,
- 1:10:04Speaker 1: outside forces that keep interjecting themselves into his WrestleMania plans.
- 1:10:11Speaker 1: He said, you guys are zero to three. Send your
- 1:10:15Speaker 1: best or count your money and mind your damn business.
- 1:10:20Speaker 1: This is the first SmackDown after WrestleMania. He says, it's
- 1:10:23Speaker 1: easy to find him, whether you're from NXT, from Monday
- 1:10:27Speaker 1: Night Raw or from Friday Night SmackDown, wherever it may be,
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: He's easy to find, hard to beat. I was hoping
- 1:10:38Speaker 1: he would say hard to kill a little tribute to
- 1:10:41Speaker 1: one of the better Steven Sagal movies. Not that there
- 1:10:44Speaker 1: is a great Stephen Sagal movie, but of the ones
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: that he's made, that would be one of them. So
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: I'm wondering, you know, him mentioning it doesn't matter where
- 1:10:55Speaker 1: you're from NXT Monday Night Raw SmackDown, was that meant
- 1:11:00Speaker 1: to be a veiled reference, a veiled message to cm Punk,
- 1:11:06Speaker 1: one would assume. So, after what we saw from the
- 1:11:08Speaker 1: two of them on Raw Monday Night, he flat out
- 1:11:10Speaker 1: told Punk, you named the place right, Punk's all about, Well,
- 1:11:14Speaker 1: you never know what a championship opportunity may fall out
- 1:11:17Speaker 1: of the sky. He said that twice on Monday, by
- 1:11:20Speaker 1: the way, So what does that mean? And we were
- 1:11:25Speaker 1: talking about that on TNT the other night. JD mentioned
- 1:11:28Speaker 1: money in the bank and I thought, well, could be,
- 1:11:31Speaker 1: could be Punk's already won money in the bank. I
- 1:11:33Speaker 1: think twice money in the bank though was not until September,
- 1:11:38Speaker 1: so I mean, what you know, if it was some
- 1:11:41Speaker 1: sort of money in the bank reference, then I suppose
- 1:11:43Speaker 1: Punk would be walking around with it until WrestleMania next year.
- 1:11:46Speaker 1: I'm not so sure they wouldn't do that much at
- 1:11:48Speaker 1: SummerSlam this year if they're already teasing it so hard.
- 1:11:53Speaker 1: So I assume that was a not so veiled message
- 1:11:56Speaker 1: to Punk. But again, as interesting as that segment was
- 1:11:59Speaker 1: on Monday and seeing the two of them in the
- 1:12:00Speaker 1: ring together, Punk and Cody actually closed SmackDown last week.
- 1:12:04Speaker 1: I mean, I wasn't here to talk about it. I
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: was coming home from Las Vegas, but they ended the show.
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: It was basically like a love fest between the two
- 1:12:12Speaker 1: of them. I thought they were gonna embrace and start
- 1:12:15Speaker 1: tonguing each other in the middle of the ring. And
- 1:12:18Speaker 1: then on RAM Monday night, we had a much better
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: segment and you know, far less lovey dovey between the
- 1:12:25Speaker 1: two of them that strongly hinted at an upcoming match
- 1:12:29Speaker 1: at some point between the two of them, And that's
- 1:12:31Speaker 1: interesting because to me, that's one of the biggest matches
- 1:12:33Speaker 1: that WWE can do right now. Realistically, when you think
- 1:12:37Speaker 1: of what are the biggest matches that WWE can book
- 1:12:40Speaker 1: right now and not including the Rock, okay because the
- 1:12:44Speaker 1: Rock ain't coming back, Cody and Punk, Cody and Punk.
- 1:12:51Speaker 1: You can say Roman in Oba, you could say Roman
- 1:12:53Speaker 1: and Gunther, But honestly, I think Cody and Punk is
- 1:12:56Speaker 1: at the top of that list. That's a match that
- 1:12:59Speaker 1: hasn't been done yet to match that I think people
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: would want to see, and it's an interesting match where
- 1:13:04Speaker 1: you could do Babyface and Babyface and let the fans choose.
- 1:13:07Speaker 1: But also like Punk is a heel in that scenario
- 1:13:11Speaker 1: would be great, Cody is a heel in that scenario
- 1:13:14Speaker 1: would be great. It kind of works like no matter
- 1:13:16Speaker 1: which way you want to do it. So hopefully we
- 1:13:20Speaker 1: get it at Summer SLIM and they don't make us
- 1:13:21Speaker 1: wait until next year. Oh, I underlooked under Siege. Yeah yeah,
- 1:13:27Speaker 1: well I didn't say that was the only decent movie,
- 1:13:30Speaker 1: he did. You know you mentioned under Siege? How can
- 1:13:35Speaker 1: you neglect under Siege too? On the Train. One of
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: my favorite quotes is from that movie Assumption is the
- 1:13:45Speaker 1: mother of all fuck ups. It's one of the great
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: quotes from Under Siege too, and it's quite true. The
- 1:13:53Speaker 1: more you assume things, the more you're likely to fuck up. Uh.
- 1:13:59Speaker 1: There was no mention here of him being medically cleared
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: or what his medical status was, and you could just
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: look at his face. He ain't going to be wrestling
- 1:14:05Speaker 1: for at least a few weeks, so I think a
- 1:14:08Speaker 1: backlash match is out the window, even if they had
- 1:14:11Speaker 1: an opponent lined up for him. I mean, we're going
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: to get a rematch with him and Randy. I don't
- 1:14:16Speaker 1: know when we're going to see Orton again, but it
- 1:14:19Speaker 1: doesn't seem to me like backlash is even going to
- 1:14:21Speaker 1: be possible If his eye is looking like that. I mean,
- 1:14:23Speaker 1: I would imagine that they are going to need it
- 1:14:26Speaker 1: to even if it's nothing broken, that eye is going
- 1:14:30Speaker 1: to have to clear up a little bit before he
- 1:14:31Speaker 1: gets back in the ring. But yeah, there was no
- 1:14:34Speaker 1: there was no medical update, There was no hint of
- 1:14:37Speaker 1: when we may see him back in the ring. But
- 1:14:40Speaker 1: I just wanted to say one last thing here about
- 1:14:42Speaker 1: the Pat McAfee angle. We saw what they did at WrestleMania.
- 1:14:48Speaker 1: That was their way of writing off Pat McAfee. Pat
- 1:14:51Speaker 1: McAfee did not want to have anything to do with
- 1:14:53Speaker 1: this anymore. I don't think, honestly he wanted to have
- 1:14:56Speaker 1: anything to do with this at the beginning. There were
- 1:14:58Speaker 1: reports that he said no initial when they pitched it
- 1:15:00Speaker 1: to him, and I don't know what they did to
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: get him on board. Maybe they threw a bunch of
- 1:15:04Speaker 1: money at him. But I think even he realized, based
- 1:15:07Speaker 1: on the reaction, like this is a mistake. He's a
- 1:15:11Speaker 1: fan and he sees all the negative reaction, and as
- 1:15:15Speaker 1: much as he seemed to be sort of reveling in
- 1:15:18Speaker 1: it when he was on television, I would imagine someone
- 1:15:20Speaker 1: like him, who probably has a big ego and cares
- 1:15:23Speaker 1: about what people say about him because he's a public figure,
- 1:15:27Speaker 1: is looking at his social media every single day and
- 1:15:29Speaker 1: he is just getting slaughtered on social media. And then
- 1:15:32Speaker 1: you have Jelly Roll, who's a genuine fan. And jelly
- 1:15:35Speaker 1: Roll flat out said in his vlog that he did
- 1:15:38Speaker 1: the other day he had a message for Pat McAfee said, Pat,
- 1:15:41Speaker 1: I love you, brother, but like you and I, we
- 1:15:43Speaker 1: really don't have any business being a part of this,
- 1:15:46Speaker 1: So why don't we just stick to what we do?
- 1:15:49Speaker 1: And you know what, that's a great message. And I
- 1:15:52Speaker 1: think they both if you were to ask both of
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: them to be as honest as possible, I think that
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: they would feel the same way about what they were
- 1:15:59Speaker 1: upon of as a lot of the fans did watching
- 1:16:03Speaker 1: the show at home on TV or the fans on
- 1:16:05Speaker 1: social media who were complaining about it. So this tag
- 1:16:09Speaker 1: match that was rumored for backlash and made sense if
- 1:16:13Speaker 1: you really think about it, isn't happening now because Pat
- 1:16:16Speaker 1: McAfee wanted to end this as soon as possible, and
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: they're just basically hitting the reset button now and we're
- 1:16:24Speaker 1: gonna get the Cody and Randy feud that we should
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: have gotten going into WrestleMania. There are even reports that
- 1:16:29Speaker 1: they were going to put the belt on Randy and WrestleMania.
- 1:16:32Speaker 1: The plan was to make him a fifteen time world
- 1:16:34Speaker 1: champion in WrestleMania, but then when Pat pulled out, plans changed.
- 1:16:38Speaker 1: They decided to go a different way with it. I
- 1:16:40Speaker 1: don't know why Pat pulling out would have to affect
- 1:16:42Speaker 1: the outcome of that match, but I guess McAfee made
- 1:16:45Speaker 1: that you know, he made that promise that if Randy
- 1:16:48Speaker 1: doesn't win, you'll never see or hear from me again.
- 1:16:52Speaker 1: So maybe they felt they had to have Randy lose
- 1:16:55Speaker 1: the match as a way to get rid of Pat
- 1:16:56Speaker 1: whatever it was. I'm glad the angle is over, but
- 1:16:59Speaker 1: I think we will look back on this WrestleMania forever,
- 1:17:03Speaker 1: really looking back on forty two and just saying, man,
- 1:17:06Speaker 1: what could have been? What could have been with this
- 1:17:09Speaker 1: story of this match going into Night one of WrestleMania,
- 1:17:14Speaker 1: Because some of the work in the actual match, like
- 1:17:16Speaker 1: down the Stretch, was actually pretty good on the whole.
- 1:17:19Speaker 1: I didn't think the match was nearly as good as
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: it could have been, but a lot of it again,
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: like this dark cloud that just hung over it, with
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: this horrendous angle. And you have Cody in this promo
- 1:17:28Speaker 1: tonight referencing outside forces and you know, keep your nose
- 1:17:32Speaker 1: out of my business and count your money and just
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: you know, basically leave me the fuck alone. And I
- 1:17:39Speaker 1: don't know if this is you know, if that verbiage
- 1:17:42Speaker 1: is in that promo for a particular reason, if there's
- 1:17:45Speaker 1: going to be some sort of development out of this,
- 1:17:47Speaker 1: I'm sure the answer is now they're just gonna move
- 1:17:51Speaker 1: on from this. I wonder how much of that is
- 1:17:53Speaker 1: Cody just wanting to vent his frustrations and Triple H's like, sure,
- 1:17:57Speaker 1: go ahead, have at it, because you know that Cody
- 1:18:02Speaker 1: is you know he's looking at all this going. Men,
- 1:18:05Speaker 1: you know you fucked up my whole story here, and
- 1:18:09Speaker 1: this is not the first time here going into WrestleMania
- 1:18:11Speaker 1: that something that should have been beautiful has been ruined.
- 1:18:15Speaker 1: Like how many WrestleManias are we going to continue to
- 1:18:18Speaker 1: do this? I'm sure he's legitimately as frustrated as anybody.
- 1:18:22Speaker 1: How could he not be? How could he not be?
- 1:18:30Speaker 1: Damian Priest and Our Truth they are the Tag Team
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: Champions and they defended their titles against Tomatonga and j. C. Matteo.
- 1:18:41Speaker 1: Backstage before the match, though Solo Sokoa was giving marching
- 1:18:45Speaker 1: orders to the MFTs. Solo said he wants them to
- 1:18:49Speaker 1: get the tech titles back, don't let the family down,
- 1:18:53Speaker 1: and as the others walked off, the Great Tonga loa,
- 1:18:56Speaker 1: wait until I get to the main event, We're gonna
- 1:18:58Speaker 1: talk more about Togala. Tangaloa looked at Solo and asked
- 1:19:02Speaker 1: him about Jacob what about Jacob, and Solo said, I'll
- 1:19:05Speaker 1: take care of Jacob, don't worry about him. So Truth
- 1:19:09Speaker 1: got the hot tag late in the match. He did
- 1:19:11Speaker 1: the the Ron Sena spots to J C. Matteo, you
- 1:19:14Speaker 1: can't see me in the five knuckle shuffle, Togaloa distracted
- 1:19:18Speaker 1: the referee as Toma ran in. He hit the Truth
- 1:19:21Speaker 1: with a spinning neck breaker, so they covered Truth and
- 1:19:25Speaker 1: the spot was that Damian Priest would dive in at
- 1:19:28Speaker 1: the last possible second to break it up. He was
- 1:19:30Speaker 1: a little late, so it looked like shit. Priest blind
- 1:19:34Speaker 1: tagged into the match, though he and Truth hit their
- 1:19:36Speaker 1: rise up Flapjack finish to retain the titles in a
- 1:19:40Speaker 1: boring match. This tag team division is dead D E
- 1:19:46Speaker 1: A D dead dead. No wonder they're releasing tag teams.
- 1:19:55Speaker 1: They'n I'm planning on doing anything with them. They have
- 1:19:56Speaker 1: a dead division. They don't give a shit, they don't
- 1:20:00Speaker 1: don't care. It's not much better on Monday Night Row.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: At least we got the Street Profits back on Monday.
- 1:20:06Speaker 1: We haven't seen them in months. But it's not much
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: better on Monday. It's worse. On Friday, though, we got
- 1:20:13Speaker 1: Part two from the Missus mansion after this is after
- 1:20:17Speaker 1: he fell in the pool. Earlier, Mis was in his house.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: He was playing, or Dan Housen was actually in the house.
- 1:20:24Speaker 1: He was playing Missus's virtual golf game. It's like he
- 1:20:27Speaker 1: has like a giant screen and it is like it's
- 1:20:30Speaker 1: clearly a game and he's golfing, and I don't know
- 1:20:33Speaker 1: what it is. I don't know if that's a wee
- 1:20:34Speaker 1: game or what the fuck that is some sort of
- 1:20:36Speaker 1: golfing simulation. And so Mis walks into the house and
- 1:20:42Speaker 1: just asking him what he's doing. And anyway, he ends
- 1:20:46Speaker 1: up grabbing missus Slammy because he sees he's got a
- 1:20:49Speaker 1: trophy case with belts and there's a Slammy Award. So
- 1:20:53Speaker 1: he snatches the Slammy Award. The base of the award
- 1:20:56Speaker 1: that black bass, it goes flying off of it. He
- 1:21:00Speaker 1: goes to leave. He's gonna leave with the Slammy Award,
- 1:21:02Speaker 1: and he opens the front door and he walks out,
- 1:21:04Speaker 1: and he runs into Maurice, who is not very happy
- 1:21:10Speaker 1: about seeing Dan house, especially coming out of her house.
- 1:21:13Speaker 1: So she's not happy about this. Miss comes running out
- 1:21:16Speaker 1: with a bowl of I couldn't tell if it what
- 1:21:18Speaker 1: was it cinnamon? It looked like a bowl of cinnamon.
- 1:21:23Speaker 1: I think, I don't know, something brown It wasn't shit.
- 1:21:28Speaker 1: SOMs threw it and Dan house induct and of course
- 1:21:32Speaker 1: Mis hit his poor wife in the face with this substance.
- 1:21:37Speaker 1: And Dan Housen ends up on a bicycle, a small
- 1:21:43Speaker 1: child's bicycle. It was their daughter's bicycle, and he's got
- 1:21:46Speaker 1: the Slammy Award with him and he starts riding the
- 1:21:49Speaker 1: bike away, and they cut back to Miss and Maurice,
- 1:21:52Speaker 1: and Maurice is covered in brown shit, and you know,
- 1:21:55Speaker 1: Miss is muttering to himself, and then they cut back
- 1:21:59Speaker 1: and the the bike now is kind of off in
- 1:22:01Speaker 1: the distance as Dan Housen is riding it away through
- 1:22:04Speaker 1: the neighborhood. I thought it was really funny. Look, I
- 1:22:08Speaker 1: enjoyed these segments. I think we need more segments like this.
- 1:22:11Speaker 1: They don't all have to be with Dan Housen, by
- 1:22:13Speaker 1: the way, but I like shit like this, like when
- 1:22:15Speaker 1: it's done the right way and it's not like overly terrible.
- 1:22:19Speaker 1: I think it's nice to break up the monotony and
- 1:22:21Speaker 1: have segments like this outside of the arena, outside the ring.
- 1:22:25Speaker 1: So I got a kick out of this look. Dan
- 1:22:29Speaker 1: Housen is perfect for this type of stuff, and I'm
- 1:22:31Speaker 1: not surprised that Fanatics apparently was blown away by the
- 1:22:34Speaker 1: kind of business that Dan Housen did merchwise over Wrestle
- 1:22:37Speaker 1: many a week. I'm not shocked by that at all.
- 1:22:40Speaker 1: And because of that, you're gonna see even more Dan
- 1:22:43Speaker 1: Housen on these shows. They're gonna run this fucking guy
- 1:22:45Speaker 1: into the ground, But for now, I still get a
- 1:22:48Speaker 1: kick out of his act. We weren't done with him,
- 1:22:50Speaker 1: by the way, when I tell you that we're going
- 1:22:53Speaker 1: to see more Dan Housen on these shows. He's cross branded.
- 1:22:56Speaker 1: Don't be surprised if he pops up from time to
- 1:22:59Speaker 1: time in NXT, but he's on Raw, he's on SmackDown.
- 1:23:02Speaker 1: So we already had two segments, two pre taped segments
- 1:23:05Speaker 1: with him on this show. We weren't done with him
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: yet because he had a match later against the Miz.
- 1:23:11Speaker 1: We'll get to that. But this next segment, we had
- 1:23:15Speaker 1: the brand new Men's United States Champion, because we have
- 1:23:18Speaker 1: two new US champions now, we had Trick Williams, who
- 1:23:24Speaker 1: still has Lil YACHTI with him, and they make their
- 1:23:28Speaker 1: way out to the ring, with the gingerbread man. The
- 1:23:31Speaker 1: guy in the gingerbread costume was back, and so they
- 1:23:33Speaker 1: make their way to the ring. They're going to celebrate
- 1:23:35Speaker 1: a very successful WrestleMania. Ring was all decked out with
- 1:23:39Speaker 1: balloons and they had champagne in the ring. So Lil
- 1:23:42Speaker 1: Yachti talked about how the WrestleMania celebrity promo tour is
- 1:23:46Speaker 1: now over, but he's still here because he's here to stay.
- 1:23:52Speaker 1: Trick and YACHTI they talked about how they were like
- 1:23:55Speaker 1: and they were going back and forth here, but they
- 1:23:56Speaker 1: were like Michael Jackson and Quincy Jones. They're like Mike
- 1:24:01Speaker 1: Tyson and Don King. They're like Michael Jordan and Phil Jackson,
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: Abbott and Costello, Beavis and Butthead. They didn't mention those.
- 1:24:15Speaker 1: Yati called himself the prophecy. I don't think you'll if
- 1:24:18Speaker 1: Lily Yachti ever saw a single Abbit and Costello movie,
- 1:24:24Speaker 1: I would be stunned. I think if he actually saw
- 1:24:28Speaker 1: any of the early Beavis and Butthead episodes, I would
- 1:24:30Speaker 1: be stunned. How old is Lily Yachtie in his twenties thirties?
- 1:24:39Speaker 1: Can you picture Lily Yatti sitting at home watching it
- 1:24:41Speaker 1: like Abbit and Costello hold that ghost. I'd become a
- 1:24:46Speaker 1: big fan of his if he did. I love Abbot
- 1:24:49Speaker 1: and Costello. Anyway, Yady called himself the prophecy, and he
- 1:24:56Speaker 1: said that there would be no more US Title Open Challenges.
- 1:25:00Speaker 1: Is they're not giving out title matches for free anymore.
- 1:25:07Speaker 1: Rocky and Bullwinkle, Sigfried and Roy Ren and Stimpy, Penn
- 1:25:19Speaker 1: and Teller, Penn and Teller, Oh, Keenan and Kell. I
- 1:25:22Speaker 1: like Kenan and Kel. I used to watch that from
- 1:25:25Speaker 1: time to time. So anyway, look, I said this months ago.
- 1:25:29Speaker 1: I said, we had Sammy's Aim with the US Title
- 1:25:31Speaker 1: Open Challenges. We had Ilia Dragonov with the US Title
- 1:25:34Speaker 1: Open Challenges. Then we had Carmelo Hayes, who was nowhere
- 1:25:38Speaker 1: to be found on this show tonight. By the way,
- 1:25:41Speaker 1: uh he continued the US Title Open Challenges. When Trick
- 1:25:46Speaker 1: Williams won the belt or any heel, that's when you
- 1:25:49Speaker 1: stop doing the Open and the Open challenges. Giming had
- 1:25:51Speaker 1: to stop at some point. So it made sense to
- 1:25:55Speaker 1: stop it when a heel, even though he's not really
- 1:25:59Speaker 1: being you know, treated by the fans like one. But
- 1:26:02Speaker 1: it made sense that now would be the right time
- 1:26:04Speaker 1: to put the kaibash on that they will be missed. Though.
- 1:26:08Speaker 1: I will tell you that those US title open challenges
- 1:26:11Speaker 1: were propping up this show something fierce, and the fact
- 1:26:14Speaker 1: that we're not gonna have those anymore, they're gonna have
- 1:26:17Speaker 1: to step up their game. There's gonna have to be,
- 1:26:19Speaker 1: you know, from time to time, week to week, you've
- 1:26:22Speaker 1: got to give us on a three hour wrestling show,
- 1:26:25Speaker 1: some action that we can look at. And I'm not
- 1:26:28Speaker 1: just talking some seven minute, fucking average throwaway bullshit match
- 1:26:32Speaker 1: with interference or fucking DQ at the end, or the
- 1:26:35Speaker 1: same shit that we see every single week. You know,
- 1:26:38Speaker 1: this person's gonna get involved and we're gonna go to
- 1:26:40Speaker 1: a commercial and so we're gonna do a dive and
- 1:26:42Speaker 1: we're gonna come back and it's gonna be the same
- 1:26:44Speaker 1: fucking boring match and nothing happens. Okay, that shit gets old.
- 1:26:47Speaker 1: You have three hours of this show every single week,
- 1:26:50Speaker 1: so sure, from time to time you're gonna have a
- 1:26:52Speaker 1: match or a segment that doesn't go very long, or
- 1:26:55Speaker 1: it has some sort of fuck finish of some kind
- 1:26:58Speaker 1: where you're gonna do a Dan Hown type skit. That's
- 1:27:01Speaker 1: fine to have variety on these shows, but you need
- 1:27:04Speaker 1: to have strong wrestling as well. It is still at
- 1:27:06Speaker 1: its core a wrestling show. There is a ring, you
- 1:27:09Speaker 1: have wrestlers, you have a referee, you ring the bell.
- 1:27:14Speaker 1: We need to have some quality matches on this show,
- 1:27:16Speaker 1: and those US title open challenges were guaranteed, guaranteed greg
- 1:27:21Speaker 1: wrestling on the show every single week. We can have
- 1:27:23Speaker 1: two and a half hours of shit and I could
- 1:27:25Speaker 1: be like Man Carmelo Hayes though Man Carmelo Hayes and
- 1:27:28Speaker 1: Ray Phoenix, they had a fucking banger on the show. Man,
- 1:27:30Speaker 1: you got to go out of your way to watch
- 1:27:31Speaker 1: that match. Now we're not even gonna have that. So
- 1:27:36Speaker 1: I hope they allow other people on the show to
- 1:27:38Speaker 1: step up and at least fill the void, because that
- 1:27:43Speaker 1: easily was one of the strongest things on the show
- 1:27:46Speaker 1: every single week. You have now taken that away. What
- 1:27:48Speaker 1: is going to replace that? And don't tell me more
- 1:27:50Speaker 1: MFTs or I'm going to bang my head against the wall.
- 1:27:57Speaker 1: Trick said that if you want a handout, find a clinic.
- 1:28:02Speaker 1: No more open challenges. He said, if you want to
- 1:28:04Speaker 1: find the chant, you find Trick Williams. So he's celebrating
- 1:28:08Speaker 1: and little YACHTI is celebrating, and the guy in the
- 1:28:12Speaker 1: gingerbread costume is celebrating, and all of a sudden, the
- 1:28:16Speaker 1: guy in the gingerbread Man costume hits Trick from behind
- 1:28:20Speaker 1: with his cane. Come to think of it, I don't
- 1:28:24Speaker 1: know why he had a cane, not like he's not
- 1:28:27Speaker 1: fucking mister peanut. Why did he have a cane? I
- 1:28:29Speaker 1: don't know, but I guess the gingerbread Man was a pimp.
- 1:28:33Speaker 1: So he hits Trick in the back with the cane,
- 1:28:35Speaker 1: and then he hits Yati as well. Yaty gets hit
- 1:28:37Speaker 1: with the cane, and sure enough, off comes the head
- 1:28:40Speaker 1: and it's Sammy's ain't in the gingerbread costume, and the
- 1:28:44Speaker 1: fans boo Even on commentary, like Joe Tessitour was kind
- 1:28:48Speaker 1: of like the tone of his voice. He's talking about
- 1:28:51Speaker 1: Sammy like he had done something wrong here. He was
- 1:28:53Speaker 1: kind of treating him like the heel in this situation,
- 1:28:57Speaker 1: even though he really did he really didn't do anything wrong.
- 1:29:00Speaker 1: But yeah, the fans were just raining booze at and
- 1:29:03Speaker 1: Sammy's looking at them like what, like I didn't do
- 1:29:07Speaker 1: anything wrong? And then he starts dancing and stuff. So
- 1:29:10Speaker 1: they're going to continue this, which I figured they would,
- 1:29:13Speaker 1: and that would seem to be a prime candidate for
- 1:29:15Speaker 1: a match of Backlash. Backlash usually has some WrestleMania rematches
- 1:29:21Speaker 1: live in Stephanie being one. This could be another one.
- 1:29:24Speaker 1: But I thought, you know, as far as the segment,
- 1:29:26Speaker 1: and again he ended by giving Trick a halluva kick,
- 1:29:30Speaker 1: which a testitur called the gingerbread kick. I thought that
- 1:29:35Speaker 1: this was this was fine for what it was supposed
- 1:29:37Speaker 1: to be. I was amused by this. Again. The fans
- 1:29:40Speaker 1: are the ones who are dictating this double turn. They're
- 1:29:43Speaker 1: booing Sammy, they like Trick. There isn't much the WWE
- 1:29:47Speaker 1: really needs to do other than just lean into it.
- 1:29:54Speaker 1: So in the back Solo Socoa yet again tried to
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: recruit Royce Keys as he was being interviewed about his
- 1:30:03Speaker 1: Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal win on the show
- 1:30:07Speaker 1: last week. You know, he eliminated Talatonga to win that
- 1:30:10Speaker 1: Battle Royal. That may end up being the last time
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: we see Talatonga on these shows. But Solo comes in,
- 1:30:15Speaker 1: he's trying to recruit him, and I'm just thinking, man,
- 1:30:18Speaker 1: run run as fast as you fucking run as fast
- 1:30:21Speaker 1: as your feet will carry you away from this man.
- 1:30:25Speaker 1: Do not want to be drawn into the MFT vortex.
- 1:30:30Speaker 1: But then we had dan Hausen against miss Housen. Dan
- 1:30:35Speaker 1: Housen drove to the ring in his coffin shaped I
- 1:30:40Speaker 1: guess the coffin mobile. What else do you even call
- 1:30:43Speaker 1: this thing? I don't even know what this thing would
- 1:30:44Speaker 1: be called. And he had Missus Slammy with him, So
- 1:30:47Speaker 1: he drove down to the ring and he circled the ring.
- 1:30:51Speaker 1: By the way, on the Slammy Award, he had a
- 1:30:53Speaker 1: piece of paper with his name taped to it, right
- 1:30:56Speaker 1: above Slammy. It said dan Hausen. I also could have
- 1:31:00Speaker 1: tell me if I'm wrong. By the way, when he
- 1:31:01Speaker 1: rode that car down to the ring, was there a
- 1:31:04Speaker 1: fan in the front row, like right in the corner
- 1:31:08Speaker 1: by the aisle who threw money into the car? Did
- 1:31:13Speaker 1: I see that right? Did that person throw money into
- 1:31:15Speaker 1: the car? So Kit Wilson was in Missus corner for
- 1:31:21Speaker 1: this match, and Wilson grabbed Missus Slammy, which was sitting
- 1:31:25Speaker 1: on top of the car. Dan Housen caught Miz with
- 1:31:28Speaker 1: a crossbody and a diving hurrican rona. The announcers were
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: stunned by this that he even knew that move. Wilson
- 1:31:36Speaker 1: got up on the apron for the distraction that allowed
- 1:31:38Speaker 1: Miz to attack dan Hausen. She did, okay, I see
- 1:31:44Speaker 1: there was a fan who threw money at Dan Housen
- 1:31:48Speaker 1: threw money into the car like he's like he's a
- 1:31:50Speaker 1: whore or something like he's pouring himself out, Like what
- 1:31:55Speaker 1: are you doing here? Oh man, guy must be doing
- 1:32:03Speaker 1: something right. He's got fans literally throwing money at him.
- 1:32:09Speaker 1: So where was I Dan Housen got taken out by Miz.
- 1:32:13Speaker 1: So Miz and Kit Wilson are on the apron and
- 1:32:15Speaker 1: they're celebrating. They got their backs turned and the camera
- 1:32:19Speaker 1: is focused on Dan Housen, who's laid out flat. And
- 1:32:22Speaker 1: now he does the undertaker zombie sit up and he's
- 1:32:26Speaker 1: going to put a curse on these two and he goes,
- 1:32:27Speaker 1: you are cursed, and when he does it, the sparks fly.
- 1:32:32Speaker 1: I got that spark Pyro. The sparks fly right where
- 1:32:35Speaker 1: Miz and Kit Wilson are standing. It knocks Wilson down,
- 1:32:38Speaker 1: and it knocks Mis backwards, and Dan Housen rolls up
- 1:32:41Speaker 1: Miz for the win. Not even two minutes into this match,
- 1:32:47Speaker 1: so they kept it short. It did not need to
- 1:32:49Speaker 1: be longer than this. They kept it brief. And so
- 1:32:53Speaker 1: dan Housen is celebrating in the ring when the match
- 1:32:55Speaker 1: is over, and Mis recovers and they end up face
- 1:32:57Speaker 1: to face, and dan Housen's like, oh shit, and then
- 1:33:00Speaker 1: we see the big puff of smoke and I guess
- 1:33:03Speaker 1: he forgets to run away. He goes, oh shit, and
- 1:33:07Speaker 1: he turns around and he leaves and Miz chases after him,
- 1:33:11Speaker 1: and he ends up crawling under the ring. So Mis
- 1:33:14Speaker 1: goes after him and dan Housen comes out on the
- 1:33:17Speaker 1: other side. He leaps over kit Wilson. Here comes Miz
- 1:33:21Speaker 1: who bumps into kit Wilson and they do like a
- 1:33:25Speaker 1: double pratfall, and dan Hausen he left his slammy sitting
- 1:33:29Speaker 1: on the steps by the way, but he jumped into
- 1:33:31Speaker 1: the dan Housen mobile, the coffin car, and he drives
- 1:33:36Speaker 1: to the back and this was all very silly. But again,
- 1:33:41Speaker 1: for the most part, I'm enjoying the Dan Housen stuff.
- 1:33:45Speaker 1: It doesn't take up too much time on the show,
- 1:33:48Speaker 1: although he did get three segments tonight, But the vignettes
- 1:33:52Speaker 1: I enjoyed I just wish the rest of the show
- 1:33:55Speaker 1: was really strong, and then I feel like I would
- 1:33:57Speaker 1: enjoy this even more. The fact that like this is
- 1:34:00Speaker 1: taking up time on a show where there really isn't
- 1:34:02Speaker 1: a whole lot else going on, that's terribly interesting. That's
- 1:34:06Speaker 1: the problem. I don't have a problem with the silliness,
- 1:34:08Speaker 1: but when the silliness is like all that you have,
- 1:34:11Speaker 1: then there's a problem. That's the issue with SmackDown right now.
- 1:34:16Speaker 1: This week's episode is sponsored by WIS. You know, we
- 1:34:19Speaker 1: hear a lot about AI these days. It's the hot topic,
- 1:34:22Speaker 1: and I to most of it out honestly, But I
- 1:34:24Speaker 1: gotta tell you, WIS has found a very cool way

- 1:35:22Speaker 1: We got a Blake Monroe vignette confirming that she is
- 1:35:25Speaker 1: on her way to the main roster. The glamour is
- 1:35:28Speaker 1: coming soon now, they didn't say coming to SmackDown, and
- 1:35:32Speaker 1: the fact that this aired on SmackDown will lead you
- 1:35:34Speaker 1: to believe that she's going to SmackDown. I'm gonna wait
- 1:35:36Speaker 1: until Monday and see if they air this on Monday
- 1:35:38Speaker 1: because it could be one of those things where they're
- 1:35:40Speaker 1: gonna air these on both shows and then decide which
- 1:35:43Speaker 1: brand they want her on. So it looks like it'll
- 1:35:46Speaker 1: be SmackDown, but that's not that's not confirmed yet. I'm
- 1:35:50Speaker 1: guessing she ends up on SmackDown, though again, SmackDown SmackDown
- 1:35:53Speaker 1: can use her. SmackDown, could definitely use her. She should
- 1:35:57Speaker 1: have been up on the main roster a long time ago.
- 1:35:59Speaker 1: She's more than ready. We have the brand new WWE
- 1:36:04Speaker 1: Women's Champion, Ria Ripley, who was out to the ring
- 1:36:09Speaker 1: for her promo. No eo Sky. She's without her BFF,
- 1:36:12Speaker 1: she's all by Herselfish is her oose. And she comes
- 1:36:15Speaker 1: down to the ring and she talked about how you
- 1:36:18Speaker 1: know mommy is champion again. She said WrestleMania, Jake Cargill
- 1:36:22Speaker 1: proved that she can go. She said, though it's her
- 1:36:25Speaker 1: time now to prove that she is a fighting champion.
- 1:36:28Speaker 1: She said, anybody in the back who wants to step up,
- 1:36:32Speaker 1: come on down. And that brought out Fatal Influence, who
- 1:36:36Speaker 1: made their debut earlier in the night, Jacy Jane Fallon,
- 1:36:40Speaker 1: Henley Laney Reid. I think Joe Tessitura might have called
- 1:36:45Speaker 1: her Laney Red at one point. So the crowd, let's
- 1:36:51Speaker 1: talk about this crowd here. Jayce starts cutting this promo.
- 1:36:56Speaker 1: She says, we get it, we get it. Ria, You're
- 1:36:58Speaker 1: a star. As she begins speaking, the booze are completely
- 1:37:03Speaker 1: drowning out this woman on the mic. The booze are overwhelmed.
- 1:37:08Speaker 1: We talk about booze. Okay, I'm not talking I'm not
- 1:37:11Speaker 1: talking about like Rick Flair, but we talk about booze
- 1:37:15Speaker 1: and like Dominic mysterio nuclear heat when he was still
- 1:37:18Speaker 1: getting like the peak of that nuclear heat on these shows,
- 1:37:21Speaker 1: That's what this woman was getting. It was so loud,
- 1:37:25Speaker 1: and so I tweeted, I said, holy shit, jac Jane
- 1:37:28Speaker 1: is getting nuclear heat on this show. And then the
- 1:37:32Speaker 1: longer the segment went, and then some of the other
- 1:37:34Speaker 1: members spoke. Fallon spoke and she got a ton of heat,
- 1:37:36Speaker 1: and then Laney spoke and she got a ton of heat.
- 1:37:39Speaker 1: And I'm looking at the fans in the first three
- 1:37:41Speaker 1: or four rows and they're not really they're not really
- 1:37:43Speaker 1: saying anything, they're not reacting, they're not doing much of anything.
- 1:37:46Speaker 1: And now I'm listening to how loud I'm like, Okay,
- 1:37:50Speaker 1: now I don't doubt that they were. And I had
- 1:37:52Speaker 1: people who tweeted me when I said that, They're like,
- 1:37:55Speaker 1: I'm in the building. I'm telling you, like, it's really
- 1:37:56Speaker 1: loud in here. Yes it's loud. Of course it's loud.
- 1:38:00Speaker 1: We could hear it, but like, how much of it
- 1:38:02Speaker 1: was genuine heat, and how much of it was them,
- 1:38:05Speaker 1: you know, kind of sweetening the crowd up a little bit.
- 1:38:08Speaker 1: There was definitely a mix of both going on there,
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: so I would like to think that they were genuinely
- 1:38:13Speaker 1: getting that level of heat, but it didn't carry over
- 1:38:17Speaker 1: into the match because the majority of the match didn't
- 1:38:20Speaker 1: have a whole lot of heat at all. I think
- 1:38:23Speaker 1: they were definitely cranking it up a bit, but even still, like,
- 1:38:26Speaker 1: it's great to see them getting a reaction, even if
- 1:38:30Speaker 1: it's close to that right out of the gate, right
- 1:38:34Speaker 1: on their first night, So that was cool. But yeah,
- 1:38:37Speaker 1: Jace cut the majority of this promo. It was hard
- 1:38:40Speaker 1: to hear what some of them were saying because it
- 1:38:42Speaker 1: was so loud. Rhea said, the boy I thought Jade
- 1:38:45Speaker 1: was cocky. She said, I'm used to being on the
- 1:38:49Speaker 1: wrong side of the numbers game, but if you are
- 1:38:51Speaker 1: down for a fight, I'm ready. So jac said Fatal
- 1:38:55Speaker 1: Influence is always ready to throw hands, and that brought
- 1:38:58Speaker 1: out Nick all this and he said that he was
- 1:39:01Speaker 1: thinking of a punishment for Fatal Influence for what they
- 1:39:04Speaker 1: did earlier in the show, and she's standing in the ring,
- 1:39:08Speaker 1: and so he booked Rhea Ripley against j C. Jane
- 1:39:11Speaker 1: right now, and that is match number three Imprompt two.
- 1:39:15Speaker 1: On this show, we had an Imprompt two main event.
- 1:39:18Speaker 1: We had an imprompt TUO women's tag team match tag
- 1:39:21Speaker 1: team title match earlier in the show, and now we
- 1:39:23Speaker 1: had an Impromp two match here with Rhea and with jac.
- 1:39:27Speaker 1: So again, what does Nickoll this do over the course
- 1:39:31Speaker 1: of his week other than have fun with Mickey James?
- 1:39:36Speaker 1: What else does this man do? We need a day
- 1:39:40Speaker 1: in the life of Nicol. We need a vlog to
- 1:39:42Speaker 1: follow around Nickoll. He's on the golf course, probably right
- 1:39:47Speaker 1: with his nine iron hitting holes. What does this guy
- 1:39:52Speaker 1: do on a day to day basis? Get a three
- 1:39:55Speaker 1: hour show to book? What was he planning on putting
- 1:39:59Speaker 1: out there? Of these mas matches were not made on
- 1:40:00Speaker 1: the spot, like one, I can understand three of them.
- 1:40:07Speaker 1: So they went to a commercial at that point. And again,
- 1:40:14Speaker 1: you know, I'm watching this match and people love Ria Ripley,
- 1:40:18Speaker 1: but it really struck me as I'm watching this, because
- 1:40:20Speaker 1: it got real quiet, you know, during certain points of this,
- 1:40:23Speaker 1: and I'm like, if the crowd really hated jac Jane
- 1:40:25Speaker 1: that much, you would think some of that heat would
- 1:40:28Speaker 1: carry over into some of the stuff she was doing
- 1:40:30Speaker 1: in the match, and that really wasn't the case here.
- 1:40:33Speaker 1: But you know, we got soul Ruka making her ROD
- 1:40:37Speaker 1: debut on Monday and her first night in She's wrestling
- 1:40:39Speaker 1: the Women's World Champion Live Morgan and so Here on
- 1:40:42Speaker 1: this show. Jac Jane in her first night in getting
- 1:40:45Speaker 1: a non title match against the champion, Riha Ripley. So
- 1:40:49Speaker 1: they ended up outside the ring. Ria got JC up
- 1:40:51Speaker 1: in an electric chair position, slammed her down face first
- 1:40:54Speaker 1: on the apron fallon and Laney. They distracted Rhea that
- 1:40:58Speaker 1: allowed jac to hit Ria with a PK. Later on,
- 1:41:01Speaker 1: Jace crouched Ria on top. Ria fought out. She hit
- 1:41:05Speaker 1: Jaz with the cheeky Nandos kick, and Ria hit JAC
- 1:41:09Speaker 1: with a razor's edge. She went for riptide fallon. Henley
- 1:41:13Speaker 1: ran in clip Ria with a chop block for the disqualification,
- 1:41:17Speaker 1: and Henley and Reid they held Ria. They were allowing
- 1:41:20Speaker 1: j C to hit Ria with her rolling encore discus elbow.
- 1:41:25Speaker 1: The disqualification was to be expected here. I'm actually glad
- 1:41:28Speaker 1: that they did something like that instead of just beating,
- 1:41:32Speaker 1: which is what they did on Monday. I mean, they
- 1:41:34Speaker 1: beat soul Ruka, but they blamed it on Zaria, you know,
- 1:41:36Speaker 1: for getting involved, but she still got hit with oblivion
- 1:41:38Speaker 1: and pinned. So you could have done that here where
- 1:41:41Speaker 1: she just took a riptide and got pinned. But why
- 1:41:43Speaker 1: why beat jac that way in her first night in
- 1:41:46Speaker 1: former NXT Women's Champion, Like, why would you do that?
- 1:41:49Speaker 1: So I expected the DQ otherwise here. I mean, as
- 1:41:53Speaker 1: far as the match, it was pretty standard fair. I'm
- 1:41:56Speaker 1: happy they sent Fatal Influence back out there though, instead
- 1:41:59Speaker 1: of just having them do that quick running and then
- 1:42:02Speaker 1: that's it until next week. I like the fact that
- 1:42:05Speaker 1: they sent them back out there, so they got multiple
- 1:42:09Speaker 1: segments on the show, and even though it was hard
- 1:42:11Speaker 1: to hear what some of them were saying, they you know,
- 1:42:14Speaker 1: in their promos, they were able to sort of establish
- 1:42:17Speaker 1: like I'm j C. Jaye, this is Laney Reid, and
- 1:42:20Speaker 1: this is Fallon Henley and this is why we're here.
- 1:42:23Speaker 1: So to get that promo time, you know, and send
- 1:42:26Speaker 1: them back out there, I thought was important. But yeah,
- 1:42:29Speaker 1: I'm glad finally see them on the main roster. It's
- 1:42:32Speaker 1: about time. So Jacob fought too. He was warming up
- 1:42:36Speaker 1: in the back when Jimmy and Jay approached and Jimmy
- 1:42:39Speaker 1: said they're going to have his back tonight to counter
- 1:42:42Speaker 1: the MFTs, and Jacob was very clear with them. He
- 1:42:45Speaker 1: said I don't need your help, and off he went
- 1:42:49Speaker 1: for the main event. But first we have to go
- 1:42:51Speaker 1: elsewhere in the back where Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss,
- 1:42:55Speaker 1: they were in the trainer's room. They had ice packs.
- 1:42:58Speaker 1: Rhea Ripley showed up, was looking all beat up and
- 1:43:02Speaker 1: Charlotte was staring at her. She looked at Charlotte and said,
- 1:43:05Speaker 1: do we have a problem. So Alexi said, yeah, fatal influence.
- 1:43:10Speaker 1: She's trying to calm things down. Charlotte said I'll take
- 1:43:13Speaker 1: care of Jace by myself next week, unlike Ria, and
- 1:43:18Speaker 1: she walked off. And then Alexa told Ria, don't worry.
- 1:43:22Speaker 1: That's just how she is. So right out of the gate,
- 1:43:27Speaker 1: they're putting jac Jane in the ring with some heavy
- 1:43:29Speaker 1: hitters on this show. Ria Ripley tonight, Charlotte Flair next week.
- 1:43:33Speaker 1: It's a good sign for Jace. Then we got the
- 1:43:36Speaker 1: Ricky Saints teaser video and the announcement that he will
- 1:43:40Speaker 1: be making his SmackDown debut next Friday. They're going to
- 1:43:44Speaker 1: be in Tulsa, Oklahoma, so he will be making his
- 1:43:49Speaker 1: Blue brand debut. I'm sorry I won't be here for it.
- 1:43:52Speaker 1: I'm going to be in Los Angeles next week. I
- 1:43:54Speaker 1: won't be in Tulsa. I'll be in LA for House
- 1:43:58Speaker 1: of Glory. So I will not be here for Smack Them.
- 1:44:01Speaker 1: But Solo, Soko will always be here for you. He
- 1:44:04Speaker 1: was in the main event tonight. He was taken on
- 1:44:07Speaker 1: Jacob Fatu so the MFTs. They attacked on the outside
- 1:44:12Speaker 1: with the referee distracted the ussos all of a sudden
- 1:44:15Speaker 1: walked out on stage and they stayed there. They were
- 1:44:17Speaker 1: going to observe from a distance, even though Fatu warned them,
- 1:44:20Speaker 1: I don't need you, don't come out here. So Solo
- 1:44:24Speaker 1: was in control heading into the final commercial break. Solo,
- 1:44:28Speaker 1: coming out of the break, he delivered a release an
- 1:44:30Speaker 1: overhead released German suplex, and Jacob took this bump where
- 1:44:34Speaker 1: he just landed flat on his stomach and the usos
- 1:44:37Speaker 1: were still watching on from the stage. J C. Matteo
- 1:44:41Speaker 1: again distracted the referee, which allowed Solo to get a
- 1:44:44Speaker 1: roll up for a near fall. This was basically a
- 1:44:47Speaker 1: handicap match here, so Fatu dove through the ropes he
- 1:44:50Speaker 1: wiped all three members of the MFTs out. Back inside
- 1:44:53Speaker 1: there was a yeurinagi by Solo and then he heads
- 1:44:56Speaker 1: up top big splash cannects. Fatu though gets the sh
- 1:45:00Speaker 1: older up at the last second, so he goes for
- 1:45:02Speaker 1: the Samoan spike and the Samoan spike misses. Pop up
- 1:45:07Speaker 1: Samoan drop by Fa Tou puts him down. He sets
- 1:45:10Speaker 1: them in position for the Mighty Moon salt and Fa
- 1:45:13Speaker 1: Tu gets the three counts. But then the MFTs pounds
- 1:45:17Speaker 1: when the match is over, and the USO's they're not
- 1:45:21Speaker 1: lifting a finger to help you know, they're watching this
- 1:45:23Speaker 1: all play out, and the usos are are still standing
- 1:45:27Speaker 1: over there on stage. But Tangaloa, he puts a chair
- 1:45:30Speaker 1: in the ring. I think he put multiple chairs in
- 1:45:32Speaker 1: the ring, and I something happened here, I forgot. I think,
- 1:45:39Speaker 1: what so Tangaloa. Something happened with a chair here. I
- 1:45:44Speaker 1: think Tangaloa maybe hit himself with it. I don't know
- 1:45:47Speaker 1: was something. I was paying more attention to what happened
- 1:45:50Speaker 1: after this, but I think something happened here with Tangaloa
- 1:45:53Speaker 1: that was kind of funny. But puts the chair in
- 1:45:57Speaker 1: the ring Now the ussos are making their way down
- 1:45:59Speaker 1: to ring side. They're in no great rush, but they're
- 1:46:02Speaker 1: making their way down to the ring. But before they
- 1:46:04Speaker 1: can actually get into the ring, they get up on
- 1:46:06Speaker 1: the apron. But Fatu he has now taking possession of
- 1:46:10Speaker 1: one of the chairs and he is wearing out the
- 1:46:13Speaker 1: MFTs with his chair. He's making his own comeback. He
- 1:46:18Speaker 1: doesn't need them, so he puts a chair around jac
- 1:46:22Speaker 1: Matteo's neck in the corner, puts another chair around Tomatanga's
- 1:46:26Speaker 1: neck in the corner, and you know, he doles out
- 1:46:29Speaker 1: running hip attacks on both men. Suicide dive takes out
- 1:46:33Speaker 1: Togaloa and Jacob strips the lid off of the announced
- 1:46:38Speaker 1: desk and he places Togaloa on top of the announced desk.
- 1:46:44Speaker 1: The idea is that Jacob Fatu is going to climb
- 1:46:46Speaker 1: up on the timekeeper's barricade and he's going to do
- 1:46:49Speaker 1: a splash off the barricade through the table. But too Toangaloa,
- 1:46:57Speaker 1: he fell, He rolled off the table and fell on
- 1:47:00Speaker 1: the floor. Poor Tongala. So Jacob had to climb back
- 1:47:05Speaker 1: down and grab him and put him back on the table,
- 1:47:08Speaker 1: and then he climbed up on the barricade and then
- 1:47:11Speaker 1: he hit a splash through the table. See, it wouldn't
- 1:47:14Speaker 1: be it wouldn't be a segment here without a tongaloa moment.
- 1:47:18Speaker 1: I hope this man never gets released. How could it
- 1:47:22Speaker 1: be the comic value that you get out of this man.
- 1:47:25Speaker 1: I hope he is employed there forever. I hope he
- 1:47:29Speaker 1: signs a twenty five year contract, a no cut clause
- 1:47:32Speaker 1: in his contract. It's just there forever, right on into
- 1:47:36Speaker 1: the Hall of Fame induction. That's my hope. So with
- 1:47:39Speaker 1: the ussos on the apron, Jacob gets back in the
- 1:47:41Speaker 1: ring and he's looking at them and he tells them,
- 1:47:44Speaker 1: tell Roman He'll see their asses on Monday Night Raw.
- 1:47:49Speaker 1: And that is how the show went off the air.
- 1:47:54Speaker 1: You know the way the MFTs are booked on these
- 1:47:56Speaker 1: shows outside of Solo Socoa. It wouldn't shock me all
- 1:48:00Speaker 1: if you know they were on the bubble too. I'd
- 1:48:03Speaker 1: be a little worried if I were the likes of
- 1:48:05Speaker 1: the MFTs on this show. Yeah. The match, really, like
- 1:48:12Speaker 1: every other match on this show, like every other match
- 1:48:15Speaker 1: on these shows, was perfectly solid, nothing more, nothing less.
- 1:48:21Speaker 1: At least we got a clean winner, right, There was
- 1:48:23Speaker 1: no dq bullshit finish here at the end, Jacob got
- 1:48:26Speaker 1: to win, as you should. If he's going to be
- 1:48:27Speaker 1: wrestling Roman reigns, right, shouldn't be losing to Solo Socoa again.
- 1:48:33Speaker 1: I don't know if Jacob is going to raw full
- 1:48:35Speaker 1: time or if it's just a temporary thing until they
- 1:48:38Speaker 1: do the match at Backlash and then he reverts back
- 1:48:41Speaker 1: to SmackDown. They haven't really articulated that one way or
- 1:48:45Speaker 1: the other because I don't think he's beating Roman, so
- 1:48:48Speaker 1: I mean, we'll find out in short order exactly where
- 1:48:50Speaker 1: he's going to land. It just you know, everything is
- 1:48:53Speaker 1: a mess right now, Guys bouncing back and forth, and
- 1:48:57Speaker 1: it's like it doesn't even feel like any of this matters,
- 1:49:02Speaker 1: you know what I mean, Like people just show up
- 1:49:04Speaker 1: wherever they want to, whenever they want to. The general
- 1:49:06Speaker 1: managers have no issue with it. I mean, they don't
- 1:49:10Speaker 1: do a draft anymore, which is good because I don't
- 1:49:13Speaker 1: want to see one. But the fact that they don't
- 1:49:16Speaker 1: bother doing one anymore probably tells you everything you need
- 1:49:18Speaker 1: to know about the sanctity of this brand split. I
- 1:49:22Speaker 1: don't think there is one anymore, Like officially, there really
- 1:49:26Speaker 1: is none, right They try to keep a lot of
- 1:49:29Speaker 1: the people on these rosters segregated where they really do
- 1:49:32Speaker 1: only appear on one show or the other. But there's
- 1:49:35Speaker 1: just this unspoken thing where it's like, Okay, yeah, you're
- 1:49:38Speaker 1: kind of on Raw, you're kind of on SmackDown, but like, honestly,
- 1:49:41Speaker 1: it don't matter. People can cross borders and go back
- 1:49:45Speaker 1: and forth, right I mean, there's just there's no real
- 1:49:48Speaker 1: rhyme or reason to it. The Ussos have family on
- 1:49:51Speaker 1: this show, so they're just going to show up on
- 1:49:53Speaker 1: SmackDown one week. We have people that are on SmackDown
- 1:49:56Speaker 1: who will go to Raw and challenge for a Raw title.
- 1:49:58Speaker 1: We have people on Raw that will go to smack
- 1:50:00Speaker 1: Down a challenge for a SmackDown title from time to time.
- 1:50:03Speaker 1: It makes no sense. So everything just feels like a
- 1:50:07Speaker 1: mess right now. This was not a great show by
- 1:50:09Speaker 1: any means, but it had its moments, the call ups. Honestly,
- 1:50:13Speaker 1: I mean that's the best part right now, because this
- 1:50:16Speaker 1: show could use him. Something has to change, I said earlier,
- 1:50:20Speaker 1: like hit the reset button. They kind of are you know,
- 1:50:24Speaker 1: we have Roman and Ria as champions again. I know
- 1:50:28Speaker 1: that sounds like old hat, but like Ria hasn't been
- 1:50:30Speaker 1: a single champion in a while. Roman, who is going
- 1:50:34Speaker 1: to be around at least through the summer. He has
- 1:50:36Speaker 1: not been championed for a while, so they went back
- 1:50:38Speaker 1: to them Tiffany Stratton, who also was a world champion
- 1:50:43Speaker 1: but has not really done anything in six months, it
- 1:50:47Speaker 1: feels like, and so she's now the United States champion.
- 1:50:52Speaker 1: And now we have, you know, the new NXT faces
- 1:50:54Speaker 1: that are being called up. So it feels like we're
- 1:50:56Speaker 1: in the middle of a little bit of a reset
- 1:50:59Speaker 1: on these shows, which is good. I just hope it's
- 1:51:02Speaker 1: a case where they help the show and not a
- 1:51:05Speaker 1: case where the show actually brings them down, which would
- 1:51:08Speaker 1: be very possible, because SmackDown is a terrible show. SmackDown
- 1:51:11Speaker 1: is an awful television show, and I hope that changes.
- 1:51:17Speaker 1: I'm not talking about one great SmackDown and then three
- 1:51:20Speaker 1: terrible ones. It's going to take a herculean effort with
- 1:51:24Speaker 1: these people who write these shows to get smacked Down
- 1:51:27Speaker 1: to a place where we can kind of consistently look
- 1:51:30Speaker 1: at it every week and not be like, oh God,
- 1:51:32Speaker 1: what are they going to do this week? Like I
- 1:51:34Speaker 1: want them to get to a place where it's like, Okay,
- 1:51:36Speaker 1: SmackDown's really gotten back together in the last like six weeks,
- 1:51:40Speaker 1: and so I don't worry as much about it anymore.
- 1:51:42Speaker 1: Right we're not there right now, but that's my hope.
- 1:51:44Speaker 1: And what I don't want are people to be called
- 1:51:47Speaker 1: up who were doing stuff in NXT and they come
- 1:51:50Speaker 1: to SmackDown and now it kind of like drags them
- 1:51:53Speaker 1: down into the abyss and it actually hurts them more
- 1:51:55Speaker 1: than it helps them. I want them to enhance the
- 1:51:58Speaker 1: show and bring the show up. That's my hope for
- 1:52:01Speaker 1: Fatal Influence. That's my hope for Royce Keys, That's my
- 1:52:04Speaker 1: hope for Ricky Saints, is that they can really help
- 1:52:07Speaker 1: elevate this show to a level that it has not
- 1:52:10Speaker 1: been at for a very long time. I think that's
- 1:52:15Speaker 1: the best anybody can hope for. But not a great
- 1:52:18Speaker 1: day for ww A considering all the people who unfortunately
- 1:52:22Speaker 1: lost their jobs today. Take a look at your super Chats.
- 1:52:30Speaker 1: There you go. That's it. A new cast of characters,
- 1:52:35Speaker 1: some new stories, no more Lantern Joseph Stewart, I hope
- 1:52:47Speaker 1: you're having a great Friday night. Happy Friday to you, brother.
- 1:52:51Speaker 1: I did not see the Michael Jackson movie. He says,
- 1:52:53Speaker 1: he saw it and it was really good. I'm seeing
- 1:52:55Speaker 1: mixed reviews on it. I have no plans on seeing
- 1:53:00Speaker 1: interest in seeing it. I love Michael's music. I think
- 1:53:03Speaker 1: he's one of the greatest artists of all time. I
- 1:53:05Speaker 1: just have no interest in seeing the movie. But I
- 1:53:07Speaker 1: believe there's a second one, right, it's like two parts.
- 1:53:11Speaker 1: I think there's a second one coming out. Can't you
- 1:53:14Speaker 1: can't fit everything in one movie and give it ample
- 1:53:18Speaker 1: time to really explore every angle of his life. I
- 1:53:21Speaker 1: wouldn't think. He says, what are your thoughts on the
- 1:53:23Speaker 1: recent comments by Rick Flair. I'll have a lot more
- 1:53:28Speaker 1: to say about that on Sunday on the sound up.
- 1:53:32Speaker 1: Flair was on Ariel Helwani show on Wednesday. I was there.
- 1:53:38Speaker 1: I was there. I actually had the chance to finally
- 1:53:42Speaker 1: meet with Ariel face to face. I've been doing the show,
- 1:53:44Speaker 1: you know, since February. But I met him and the
- 1:53:46Speaker 1: team and everything. It just so happened. I came in
- 1:53:48Speaker 1: that day and got the grand tour and I sat
- 1:53:51Speaker 1: in in the control room. I had no idea, by
- 1:53:54Speaker 1: the way, until I got there, that Rick Flair was
- 1:53:55Speaker 1: on the show that day. I said, oh, okay, and
- 1:53:59Speaker 1: so I sat in the control room and I got
- 1:54:03Speaker 1: to watch the entire interview along with everybody else. It
- 1:54:07Speaker 1: was a very interesting experience. But yeah, we'll talk about
- 1:54:11Speaker 1: that on Sunday. And he says, happy birthday to Barber
- 1:54:16Speaker 1: Streisand have you seen the first look of the Netflix
- 1:54:20Speaker 1: live action Scooby Doo? No, I have not. Did you
- 1:54:25Speaker 1: see the photo of Jack Nicholson online celebrating his eighty
- 1:54:28Speaker 1: ninth birthday? I did not, But happy birthday to Jack
- 1:54:32Speaker 1: mentioned that on the Dynamite Tree the other night. Somebody
- 1:54:35Speaker 1: did that it was his birthday. How would you have
- 1:54:36Speaker 1: booked a sting in Goldberg feud in WCW. I would
- 1:54:41Speaker 1: have booked it a lot better than WCW would have.
- 1:54:43Speaker 1: I think they had a TV match once, right, I
- 1:54:45Speaker 1: think they did wrestle once. But as far as how
- 1:54:54Speaker 1: I would book it, they would both have to be babyfaces.
- 1:54:58Speaker 1: I can't see turning either one of them. Heel, I'm
- 1:55:03Speaker 1: just booking for the World Championship, man, It's all about
- 1:55:05Speaker 1: the world title, not unlike the way they did Goldberg
- 1:55:08Speaker 1: and DDP very similar. Do you remember when Kurt Handing
- 1:55:11Speaker 1: feuded with master P in WCW. Yes, that was during
- 1:55:14Speaker 1: his rap is Crap phase. I do remember that. Do
- 1:55:18Speaker 1: you think Sting will ever come back to WWE? No, never,
- 1:55:24Speaker 1: never gonna happen. He's under contract with AW. Still. Do
- 1:55:28Speaker 1: you remember the WCW Nitro commercial that had Keith David
- 1:55:32Speaker 1: narrating and DDP saying that this is where the big
- 1:55:35Speaker 1: boys play. Keith David narrated a WCW commercial. I don't
- 1:55:40Speaker 1: remember that, but I do remember the Sprite commercial where
- 1:55:43Speaker 1: Sting beats up the little kid. I did enjoy that,
- 1:55:49Speaker 1: he says. I hope you go see the Michael Jackson
- 1:55:51Speaker 1: movie this weekend and have a great weekend, Sloma. I
- 1:55:54Speaker 1: will be working on sound off stuff and SoundOff notes
- 1:55:58Speaker 1: all weekend, so I will not be seeing it. However,
- 1:56:01Speaker 1: I will be seeing the Mortal Kombat movie in a
- 1:56:06Speaker 1: few weeks. I'm looking forward to that. And then we
- 1:56:13Speaker 1: got the back Rooms coming at the end of May.
- 1:56:18Speaker 1: Browley says, call up women to help with your lack
- 1:56:23Speaker 1: of depth division, only to fire the ones you already have. Therefore,
- 1:56:26Speaker 1: going back to how we began, Well, that is true,
- 1:56:31Speaker 1: Zelena Vega Alba fire What was it just those two?
- 1:56:37Speaker 1: I don't have the list in front of me Yeah,
- 1:56:39Speaker 1: they got rid of a few women, but let's be
- 1:56:42Speaker 1: honest here. I mean, they weren't doing anything with them,
- 1:56:44Speaker 1: so it doesn't it doesn't really change things. And they
- 1:56:52Speaker 1: still have beach It I did it again, Meechen Bfab,
- 1:56:56Speaker 1: Candice Larray, Keana James, Julia, Tiffany Charlotte, Alexa, Naya lash Page,
- 1:57:10Speaker 1: the Bellas they have the women there now, fatal influence,
- 1:57:16Speaker 1: Blake Monroe. The key is what you do with them?
- 1:57:21Speaker 1: What are you going to do with them? What are
- 1:57:23Speaker 1: the stories that you're coming up with for them? What
- 1:57:26Speaker 1: are the matches, what are the feuds. I don't trust
- 1:57:28Speaker 1: these people, That's the problem. Death Size Jeff Hardy's release
- 1:57:34Speaker 1: in twenty twenty one still boggles my mind. There's a
- 1:57:40Speaker 1: lot of things that Jeff's done in his career that
- 1:57:42Speaker 1: boggle the mind. Dry Chicken without Flavor. I bet people
- 1:57:47Speaker 1: within AW will heavily encourage Tony Kah to sign Kyrie
- 1:57:50Speaker 1: Saane once the non compete clause expires. Well, why wouldn't they,
- 1:57:56Speaker 1: I'm sure they will. Death sythe says, wherever Kyrie goes,
- 1:58:07Speaker 1: she will be safe from OSCA. Yes, no more worrying
- 1:58:11Speaker 1: about OSCAR. She's free Bossmo Jackson. It's official. J C.
- 1:58:22Speaker 1: Jaane in Company is on SmackDown and WWE should fire
- 1:58:26Speaker 1: death He says, Death Rebel. What's Death Rebel? That's a
- 1:58:37Speaker 1: that's a different band I've never heard of. Dry Chicken says,
- 1:58:42Speaker 1: WWE is cutting ties with Death Rebel. But wait, that's
- 1:58:45Speaker 1: an alternate twenty twenty six CMJ World. How long do
- 1:58:51Speaker 1: you think it'll be before we get ads in promos
- 1:58:54Speaker 1: like after I kick your ass tonight, I'm gonna go
- 1:58:58Speaker 1: get the new Papa John's Ultimate, I've crossed Pepperoni Pizza.
- 1:59:02Speaker 1: You know you laugh, you put lol at the end
- 1:59:03Speaker 1: of that. But I don't think we're too far off
- 1:59:05Speaker 1: from that. Don't you go giveing TKO any ideas? Now, Yeah,
- 1:59:10Speaker 1: we see those Snickers commercials. At some point there's going
- 1:59:13Speaker 1: to be someone who just loses their shit in a
- 1:59:15Speaker 1: promo and like their partner is going to be like,
- 1:59:17Speaker 1: you're not yourself here have a Snickers right in the
- 1:59:19Speaker 1: middle of the promo. You don't think that they wouldn't
- 1:59:24Speaker 1: sell ad inventory like that if they knew they could.
- 1:59:29Speaker 1: Broley fatal influence already more over than whatever the hell
- 1:59:32Speaker 1: they were doing with Lash and Naya for six months.
- 1:59:35Speaker 1: Laney was in NXT for only ten months. Well, that's
- 1:59:37Speaker 1: why I haven't seen too much of her work. Venom
- 1:59:44Speaker 1: Ktetsu with a ten dollars super chat just took sixty
- 1:59:48Speaker 1: g's of shrooms. That's how you know it's a Friday night.
- 1:59:53Speaker 1: That's his way of preparing for SmackDown. So the wrestling
- 1:59:56Speaker 1: industry is a frustrating mess. Post Mania cuts are expected,
- 1:59:59Speaker 1: but are just nonsense. Looking forward to the sound of
- 2:00:02Speaker 1: been a wild week with just flare alone. Thank you
- 2:00:08Speaker 1: Venom Kotetsu. It has been a very newsworthy week. Nko Samuel,
- 2:00:13Speaker 1: thank you for the five. And we've got another five
- 2:00:18Speaker 1: here from wait Mystic Jay hijacking with another five, Thank
- 2:00:22Speaker 1: you Mystic Jay. Well, this person is like Prince, there's
- 2:00:29Speaker 1: no name, it's just a dash, it says, feels like
- 2:00:33Speaker 1: a waste of time to watch weekly shows when so
- 2:00:36Speaker 1: many storylines are dropped or ret conned or forgotten. F
- 2:00:42Speaker 1: for Kyrie's face turn against Osca. Yeah, that's a great point.
- 2:00:46Speaker 1: And I kind of made a similar point at the
- 2:00:49Speaker 1: beginning of the stream when I said why should we
- 2:00:50Speaker 1: invest in some of these stories and characters? But I
- 2:00:54Speaker 1: talked about the Now. Look, I'm glad they retconnned the
- 2:00:56Speaker 1: Pat McAfee stuff, but that's another example where they were
- 2:01:00Speaker 1: telling this story and it was so fucking awful that
- 2:01:04Speaker 1: they decided the best course of action. I mean, they
- 2:01:06Speaker 1: had no choice once Pat said I'm done with this,
- 2:01:09Speaker 1: so they basically wreckconded and it's gonna be like it
- 2:01:11Speaker 1: never even happened. And the Oscar Kyrie stuff and it's
- 2:01:15Speaker 1: gonna be like that never even happened. And you could
- 2:01:18Speaker 1: find other examples of this, but in this case, it
- 2:01:21Speaker 1: was just it was so unnecessary. It was totally unnecessary,
- 2:01:26Speaker 1: and they did it anyway. Nico with a twenty Hey Solo,
- 2:01:33Speaker 1: I missed SmackDown? Did I miss anything? I was in
- 2:01:35Speaker 1: downtown Orlando watching the Chameleons, would watch them a thousand
- 2:01:39Speaker 1: times over. Morrissey looking forward to the sound off, episode
- 2:01:44Speaker 1: nine to sixty and Uncrowned. Thanks as always, Thank you, Nico,
- 2:01:50Speaker 1: I got you covered this upcoming week. You were watching
- 2:01:53Speaker 1: the Chameleons. Also, he says, what is the airport test?
- 2:02:04Speaker 1: So the airport test, it's very simple. The idea is
- 2:02:07Speaker 1: that if you see this person, whoever this person may be,
- 2:02:11Speaker 1: walking through the airport, do they catch your eye, because
- 2:02:17Speaker 1: if not, you fail the airport test. But let's say
- 2:02:21Speaker 1: you're walking through the airport and you're just dressed in
- 2:02:23Speaker 1: a very, I don't know, outlandish way, or you're seven
- 2:02:28Speaker 1: feet tall, or you're all muscled up and chiseled, you're
- 2:02:32Speaker 1: like something out of a comic book, whatever the case
- 2:02:34Speaker 1: may be. Fucking Omas is walking through the airport. Omas
- 2:02:37Speaker 1: is going to pass that airport test every single time,
- 2:02:39Speaker 1: right because all the eyes are going to be on him.
- 2:02:42Speaker 1: That's the airport test. You know, Sammy's Ain walking through
- 2:02:46Speaker 1: the airport, other than the people who would know him
- 2:02:48Speaker 1: from TV. If Sammy's Ain someone who looked like Sammy's
- 2:02:51Speaker 1: Ain was walking through the airport, would people be like
- 2:02:54Speaker 1: staring at him and like would their eyes be shifting
- 2:02:57Speaker 1: over like, oh, who's that guy? Like, No, no one's
- 2:03:00Speaker 1: to pay any attentions. Sammy's Aying would fail the airport test.
- 2:03:04Speaker 1: Daniel Bryan would fail the airport test. That's what the
- 2:03:11Speaker 1: airport test is. William Lopez. The first time alistair was released,
- 2:03:19Speaker 1: he said not to blame Vince McMahon. I wonder if
- 2:03:23Speaker 1: this time he'll say, don't blame Nick Cohn. Yeah, not
- 2:03:30Speaker 1: the first time that Alistair has departed. WWA, what he's
- 2:03:35Speaker 1: going to do now, I don't know. San Juan wolf
- 2:03:45Speaker 1: with A nineteen ninety nine. If Sammy isn't already a heel,
- 2:03:48Speaker 1: I've got a good feeling they're going to turn him
- 2:03:50Speaker 1: real soon and I'm here for it. Much love from Flora.
- 2:03:54Speaker 1: They're in the middle of doing it, for sure. We're
- 2:03:58Speaker 1: seeing it happen right before our eyes. TGN TKO have
- 2:04:04Speaker 1: lost the plot release Kyrie in the middle of a
- 2:04:07Speaker 1: storyline also with Black. They decided Pat McAfee brother and
- 2:04:12Speaker 1: then fire him. What a joke? Yeah, imagine, I mean
- 2:04:19Speaker 1: if that report is to be believed, you know, going
- 2:04:22Speaker 1: from potentially being involved in a wrestlemaniam match in program
- 2:04:25Speaker 1: with Randy Orton to losing your job a week later
- 2:04:29Speaker 1: after WrestleMania. It's something, isn't it. It's really something? Hulkling
- 2:04:36Speaker 1: ninety three. He solo noticed Tangaloa almost smacking himself getting Oh,
- 2:04:40Speaker 1: that's what I's That's what it was. He almost smacked
- 2:04:42Speaker 1: himself with the chair when he was getting into the ring. Also,
- 2:04:44Speaker 1: like a group of moose are called moose, a group
- 2:04:47Speaker 1: of deer are called deer. I mean deer sounds that
- 2:04:52Speaker 1: sounds fine, But like again, just when you say it
- 2:04:55Speaker 1: out loud and you call a group of moose moose,
- 2:04:58Speaker 1: it just doesn't sound right to me. That needs to
- 2:05:01Speaker 1: be changed. Someone needs to get in touch with Oxford
- 2:05:08Speaker 1: and get that changed, Aaron, This backdown has been bad.
- 2:05:11Speaker 1: So their brilliant solution is to build the entire show
- 2:05:14Speaker 1: around the MFTs. Sounds like a great idea, Rick Gonzales,
- 2:05:22Speaker 1: my Rockies beat your Mets, Solo, Yikes, yeah, I heard
- 2:05:26Speaker 1: they're back to their losing ways. When you lose to
- 2:05:30Speaker 1: the Rockies, I mean, I just don't even know what
- 2:05:32Speaker 1: to say. I don't know what to say. Where do
- 2:05:36Speaker 1: you go from there? Misfit Wrestling Podcast. Today marks one
- 2:05:45Speaker 1: year since my mom passed away. It's been very tough
- 2:05:48Speaker 1: for me and my family. But your streams always put
- 2:05:50Speaker 1: a smile on my face and put me in a
- 2:05:51Speaker 1: good mood. Please continue to do so, Solo. I'm very
- 2:05:55Speaker 1: sorry to hear about your mom, and as long as
- 2:05:59Speaker 1: I can bring you some level of comfort for a
- 2:06:02Speaker 1: few hours each night each week, then I will continue
- 2:06:05Speaker 1: to do that. It's the least I can do. Thank you,
- 2:06:07Speaker 1: brother Leo. I hate seeing people get released. My heart
- 2:06:15Speaker 1: goes out to the people who have lost their jobs today.
- 2:06:18Speaker 1: I was also a bit worried for Keana. I'm glad
- 2:06:21Speaker 1: to see that she seems to be safe. Aaron says,
- 2:06:28Speaker 1: buy or sell Cain and Undertaker's two thousand returns. Oh man,
- 2:06:35Speaker 1: they were both great, but I gotta go Undertaker. That
- 2:06:39Speaker 1: one was just mass chaos. At the end of that
- 2:06:42Speaker 1: Iron Man match, Leo says, like that they are teasing
- 2:06:46Speaker 1: a breakup between Keana and Julia. I just hope they
- 2:06:49Speaker 1: commit to it. They also need more babyfaces on the
- 2:06:52Speaker 1: women's side. The Ulfman WWE's reason for letting Kyrie go
- 2:07:01Speaker 1: in Johnny Yce's voice, budget cuts. This budget cuts kid
- 2:07:10Speaker 1: death side. Imagine if they cut Elizabeth before WrestleMania five, Yeah,
- 2:07:16Speaker 1: basically and basically now, imaginef they cut Elizabeth before WrestleMania eight.
- 2:07:22Speaker 1: That whole storyline was revolved around her. They were threatening
- 2:07:25Speaker 1: to drop a giant centerfold banner of her in a
- 2:07:29Speaker 1: compromising position if Flair won the match. And then imagine
- 2:07:32Speaker 1: a week before Elizabeth has been released by w W.
- 2:07:36Speaker 1: A we got mister Rod Wyatt six is gone unfortunately,
- 2:07:49Speaker 1: and the aur died. They basically failed. Bray Wyatt said, I,
- 2:07:54Speaker 1: you know, I don't really look at it like that necessarily.
- 2:07:57Speaker 1: I look at it like this. You know, Bo had
- 2:08:00Speaker 1: the opportunity to come back and pay tribute to his brother,
- 2:08:04Speaker 1: and he did that, and I'm sure he would have
- 2:08:06Speaker 1: wanted to continue the vision and just kind of see
- 2:08:10Speaker 1: it through until the end. But it's not like he
- 2:08:13Speaker 1: didn't get to do some cool stuff and honor his brother.
- 2:08:15Speaker 1: So I don't look at it as a total loss,
- 2:08:17Speaker 1: cause you know, he paid tribute to Bray, He brought
- 2:08:23Speaker 1: those characters back to life. They won the tag team titles,
- 2:08:28Speaker 1: so I mean you can't and again, their debut is
- 2:08:30Speaker 1: very memorable, So I don't think you could say it
- 2:08:32Speaker 1: was a total loss. It just fizzled out and they
- 2:08:34Speaker 1: didn't really know what to do with them, because it's
- 2:08:37Speaker 1: it's a gimmick that had a ceiling, you know, and
- 2:08:41Speaker 1: it's just there's only so much you're going to be
- 2:08:43Speaker 1: able to do unless you evolve it, and you evolve
- 2:08:45Speaker 1: those characters into something beyond just spooky shit, where you know,
- 2:08:50Speaker 1: you're having them do supernatural type stuff for freaky type stuff,
- 2:08:55Speaker 1: and they just never evolved it they just kept doing
- 2:08:58Speaker 1: the same shit with them and over and over again,
- 2:09:01Speaker 1: or maybe they wanted to and they didn't allow them to.
- 2:09:03Speaker 1: I don't know what the thought process was there. I
- 2:09:05Speaker 1: don't know if ideas were being pitched that were ignored
- 2:09:08Speaker 1: or rejected. Now that they're all released, once their non
- 2:09:12Speaker 1: competes are up, I'm sure some of them might hit
- 2:09:14Speaker 1: the interview circuit and maybe we'll get some answers to
- 2:09:16Speaker 1: those questions. But I wouldn't say they failed Bray. I
- 2:09:21Speaker 1: wouldn't say that, Aaron. I Actually, to be honest with you, Bray.
- 2:09:25Speaker 1: If you think about it, Bray was released by WWE also,
- 2:09:28Speaker 1: so they were kind of following in his footsteps in
- 2:09:30Speaker 1: that way in terms of how he got treated by
- 2:09:33Speaker 1: the company. Aaron says. Nikita Lyons has been around since
- 2:09:36Speaker 1: twenty twenty one, hasn't improved much and got demoted from
- 2:09:40Speaker 1: developmental NXT to evolve. She must have the deaf rebel leverage.
- 2:09:47Speaker 1: Yeah she's got. I don't know, man, she knows maybe
- 2:09:50Speaker 1: where a couple of bodies are buried. Jeremy Rose. Those
- 2:10:05Speaker 1: people or these people lost their jobs because the company
- 2:10:08Speaker 1: that flaunts record profits and gate records spend their money
- 2:10:12Speaker 1: on old divas like the Bella's and Page and the
- 2:10:14Speaker 1: Jelly Rolls and McAfee's of the world. They think those
- 2:10:22Speaker 1: people are going are going to draw them money, and
- 2:10:26Speaker 1: they're convinced that these are the people that we need
- 2:10:29Speaker 1: to be seeing on these shows. Bissel zones going into
- 2:10:37Speaker 1: WrestleMania forty one, I recall you expected more from Alistair
- 2:10:40Speaker 1: Black than Russev. I was about to ask who had
- 2:10:42Speaker 1: the better year. I guess we have our answer. Yeah,
- 2:10:47Speaker 1: And it's not like Russev is not a whole lot either.
- 2:10:49Speaker 1: At least he got on the WrestleMania card. Can't say
- 2:10:52Speaker 1: the same for Alistair Black lost the sauce ba with
- 2:11:00Speaker 1: nine ninety nine. Kyrie will be dropping Sola Monster through
- 2:11:03Speaker 1: a table with an elbow drop and hog by the
- 2:11:06Speaker 1: end of the year. It's not a prediction, it's a spoiler.
- 2:11:10Speaker 1: You want me to take an insane elbow through a table.
- 2:11:15Speaker 1: I don't know if I'd be willing to do that.
- 2:11:16Speaker 1: That sounds very dangerous. Jeremy Rose says, we got Heal
- 2:11:25Speaker 1: Sammy and Heeal bloodline and a lazy creative team. Use
- 2:11:29Speaker 1: your imagination and see the vision. I'd prefer to see
- 2:11:33Speaker 1: Crazy j versus Jacob instead of Jacob wasting his shot
- 2:11:36Speaker 1: at Roman. Since we all know he is losing, well,
- 2:11:41Speaker 1: he's definitely now winning the championship. Jeremy, Thank You, Alexander
- 2:11:52Speaker 1: is wild. If Jasmine Nix was patient, she would have
- 2:11:54Speaker 1: been on the show tonight with JC Jane. I think
- 2:11:56Speaker 1: she complained about the money not being enough. I think
- 2:12:00Speaker 1: she said it was like seventy five thousand or something,
- 2:12:02Speaker 1: and I mean, look good for her if she felt
- 2:12:05Speaker 1: like it wasn't enough. STANDI your ground. Sometimes you just
- 2:12:09Speaker 1: have to be willing to not take what they take
- 2:12:11Speaker 1: what they're going to give you. If you feel like
- 2:12:13Speaker 1: you're being undervalued, or you feel like, man, I need
- 2:12:16Speaker 1: to be making more than that, then say, look that's
- 2:12:19Speaker 1: not good enough for me. Sorry, hey, I mean respect
- 2:12:25Speaker 1: to her for that. Aaron says, I think it would
- 2:12:28Speaker 1: be good to send Tiffany to RAW when she drops
- 2:12:30Speaker 1: the US title. Her and Blake are very similar, and
- 2:12:33Speaker 1: she's been on SmackDown since her call up. It's like
- 2:12:37Speaker 1: having two Barbie Doll characters on the same show. I
- 2:12:40Speaker 1: wouldn't be shocked if they end up putting them in
- 2:12:41Speaker 1: a fucking tag team together at some point start coming
- 2:12:46Speaker 1: out and matching outfits. I volunteer as a tribute for
- 2:12:55Speaker 1: you solo to take the Insane elbow. A lot of
- 2:13:00Speaker 1: people would be volunteering their services for that spot, Alexander
- 2:13:05Speaker 1: with the fifteen Thank you, Alexander. We need to keep
- 2:13:08Speaker 1: this super chat alive. On a side note, and I
- 2:13:11Speaker 1: posted it in the chat earlier. The common denominated with
- 2:13:13Speaker 1: the main roster releases, all of them were SmackDown talent, SmackDown,
- 2:13:19Speaker 1: mid card got nuked, you know, Black Vega Alba. Well,
- 2:13:28Speaker 1: that's not true. Kyrie was on raw. Kyrie was not
- 2:13:32Speaker 1: a SmackDown star, so that's not entirely true. Apollo Cruz was,
- 2:13:38Speaker 1: though Santos Escobar really was not a WWE main roster
- 2:13:42Speaker 1: talent anymore. They had moved him over to Triple A.
- 2:13:45Speaker 1: The rest of them, I think you are correct, though.
- 2:13:47Speaker 1: The rest of them, I believe, outside of the nxt ones,
- 2:13:49Speaker 1: the rest of them I believe were SmackDown. Nico Samuel
- 2:13:58Speaker 1: get while E Coyote to blow he says, wild E Coyote.
- 2:14:02Speaker 1: I would love it if that was his name. It's
- 2:14:04Speaker 1: wild E Coyote, to blow up, SmackDown, just saying, well,
- 2:14:08Speaker 1: the problem is if you get the coyote to blow
- 2:14:09Speaker 1: up smack Down, it won't work. He'll just blow himself up.
- 2:14:11Speaker 1: That's the whole point of being Wiley Coyote. It's not
- 2:14:15Speaker 1: gonna work. He'll try to blow up smack Down and
- 2:14:19Speaker 1: it'll end up blowing up at his face. That's the
- 2:14:21Speaker 1: whole point of the character. Near he says, a falafful
- 2:14:30Speaker 1: on me solo, not really a falafful guy. I appreciate
- 2:14:35Speaker 1: the offer, though, Jeremy Rose, could punk Cody SummerSlam happen,
- 2:14:41Speaker 1: then rematch it WrestleMania. Could it happen? Sure? There have
- 2:14:47Speaker 1: been times where we've gotten matches at Summer Slam and
- 2:14:50Speaker 1: then they build the story all the way through WrestleMania.
- 2:14:52Speaker 1: We got the rematch there Chicago for MBK. I asked
- 2:15:00Speaker 1: earlier this week about potential releases. Seeing some of the
- 2:15:03Speaker 1: names today genuinely floored me. Triple H needs to follow
- 2:15:08Speaker 1: time to rebuild. Chris O'Neil. Big name that you can
- 2:15:15Speaker 1: see getting released, I say, Bailey. I don't know when
- 2:15:19Speaker 1: Bailey's contract is up, if it's later this year or
- 2:15:25Speaker 1: next year. There's been a lot of rumors about her.
- 2:15:27Speaker 1: I think I think it's more realistic that when her
- 2:15:30Speaker 1: contract is up, she chooses to leave. I think if
- 2:15:36Speaker 1: she wanted to go to AW I mean, she would
- 2:15:38Speaker 1: be welcomed with open arms, and she's got friends there,
- 2:15:41Speaker 1: and she has a whole plethora of new talent there
- 2:15:43Speaker 1: to work with. If she just was looking for like
- 2:15:45Speaker 1: a refresh, maybe she's not. She may be content to
- 2:15:48Speaker 1: stay where she is, and then she's doing these occasional seminars,
- 2:15:54Speaker 1: you know, for other women's wrestlers, and maybe she's just
- 2:15:57Speaker 1: content to do that. But I don't. I think it's
- 2:16:00Speaker 1: more likely that, if anything, she just opts to leave
- 2:16:04Speaker 1: when her contract is up. It's been there a long time,
- 2:16:12Speaker 1: broly since thirteen people have been called up since January.
- 2:16:15Speaker 1: Got a feel for CW and HBK and I think
- 2:16:18Speaker 1: Julia needs to turn face. They only got five faces
- 2:16:21Speaker 1: and eleven heels on SmackDown. Yes, they definitely do need
- 2:16:26Speaker 1: more faces. Now are you counting I assume you're counting
- 2:16:30Speaker 1: some of the women that are in tag teams, like
- 2:16:32Speaker 1: Charlotte and Alexa and Mystic Jay. It sucks to think
- 2:16:41Speaker 1: that all the released wrestlers Triple H brought back when
- 2:16:43Speaker 1: he took over creative have all been released once again.
- 2:16:50Speaker 1: That is actually it's actually a good point. Right, you
- 2:16:55Speaker 1: had Black, you had Well, you had Cross, you had
- 2:17:05Speaker 1: Dakota Kai. Right, Yeah, Kyrie, there are a bunch of
- 2:17:10Speaker 1: people Alex's brother solo. If you are evil, then are
- 2:17:15Speaker 1: you canceling your WWE contract and going back to New
- 2:17:19Speaker 1: Japan after today's releases? I mean, what is his potential?
- 2:17:23Speaker 1: Why would he do that? He left New Japan for
- 2:17:26Speaker 1: a reason because he knows he can make more money
- 2:17:28Speaker 1: over here. What is his potential? He's not going to
- 2:17:34Speaker 1: be a main event player in this company, but I
- 2:17:36Speaker 1: don't even know if he's going to NXT first or not.
- 2:17:41Speaker 1: What is his potential? I think his potential is similar
- 2:17:44Speaker 1: to what you see with j. C. Matteo in the MFTs.
- 2:17:49Speaker 1: That's what I think his potential is. We got Chicken Sticks, LiPo?
- 2:18:01Speaker 1: What went wrong with Cross and WWE Love your show?
- 2:18:05Speaker 1: He probably didn't do himself and he favors with that
- 2:18:07Speaker 1: post WrestleMania promo last year, which was fucking awesome, but
- 2:18:11Speaker 1: it sounds like it might have ruffled some feathers in
- 2:18:15Speaker 1: a way that he didn't intend because people got all
- 2:18:17Speaker 1: up in their feelings and so I don't think that
- 2:18:20Speaker 1: helped his case. I also don't think that people getting
- 2:18:24Speaker 1: behind him and starting to chant for him necessarily with
- 2:18:27Speaker 1: something the company was expecting or hoping for. And sometimes
- 2:18:31Speaker 1: they don't like that. You know. Sometimes they'll embrace it
- 2:18:33Speaker 1: if they see the crowd as really rallying behind somebody.
- 2:18:36Speaker 1: But I think only if they see that person as
- 2:18:39Speaker 1: really having true potential, like, oh, okay, that's a person
- 2:18:43Speaker 1: that we want to get behind or would have gotten behind,
- 2:18:47Speaker 1: and now the fans are dictating that they want us
- 2:18:49Speaker 1: to get behind this person. And I kind of feel
- 2:18:52Speaker 1: like if you don't fall into that category and you're
- 2:18:54Speaker 1: not part of the plan, I don't like that very much.
- 2:18:56Speaker 1: They kind of resent you for it. There may have
- 2:18:58Speaker 1: been a little bit of that going on retro Koah
- 2:19:05Speaker 1: Buyer sell on Evil video game doctors doctor Eggman from
- 2:19:09Speaker 1: Sonic or doctor Wilie from Mega Man. I gotta go
- 2:19:13Speaker 1: doctor Egman and SENDPI thank you for the membership. Remember
- 2:19:20Speaker 1: the wheel tonight dictated five hundred and thirty likes was
- 2:19:23Speaker 1: the goal. We are currently sitting at six ninety nine.
- 2:19:29Speaker 1: We're a one away from seven hundred. So you guys
- 2:19:32Speaker 1: smashed the goal. Very cool to see. We did well
- 2:19:37Speaker 1: on the bonus goal. We fell three shorts so far,
- 2:19:39Speaker 1: seven out of ten on that, but we got one
- 2:19:41Speaker 1: round to be the booker at least come in your way.
- 2:19:43Speaker 1: Let's get to that right now, ladies and gentlemen, it
- 2:19:46Speaker 1: is now time to be the booker. It's doctor Robotic,
- 2:19:58Speaker 1: doctor robotnik. I mean this guy here talking doctor robotnic
- 2:20:10Speaker 1: right here. Look at this guy. Is that what you're
- 2:20:12Speaker 1: talking about? Let me some doctor Robotic. All right, here
- 2:20:19Speaker 1: we go, tag team, be the Booker. We're gonna kick
- 2:20:21Speaker 1: off with r K bro, Vince Russo's favorite team, Randy
- 2:20:29Speaker 1: Orton and Matt Riddle. They are going to be stepping
- 2:20:37Speaker 1: into the ring with Bullet Club Gold, Jay White and
- 2:20:46Speaker 1: Juice Robinson. I miss Jay White. When is Jay White
- 2:20:55Speaker 1: going to be back? He's been gone for a very
- 2:20:57Speaker 1: long time. You imagine if r K brow was managed
- 2:21:04Speaker 1: by Vince Russo and he cut all their promos for them,
- 2:21:09Speaker 1: that would be awful. All right, Women's be the booker,
- 2:21:17Speaker 1: oh man, of all the nights we land on Queen Zelena,
- 2:21:32Speaker 1: it's like be the Booker knows sometimes it's like it
- 2:21:35Speaker 1: has a sixth sense for these things. Choose four women
- 2:21:46Speaker 1: on then we get Nikki crossing this one. Look at that.
- 2:21:48Speaker 1: Be the booker is just this is this is terrible,
- 2:21:52Speaker 1: This is this is very sad. We go from Zelena
- 2:21:59Speaker 1: in one image to Nicky Cross in another image. Choose
- 2:22:04Speaker 1: four women and book a tag team match. All right,
- 2:22:06Speaker 1: so we're gonna start over then where you have to
- 2:22:08Speaker 1: start fresh. Now four women and we're going to book
- 2:22:12Speaker 1: a women's tag team match. All right. So our first
- 2:22:21Speaker 1: participant is Ruby Riot or Ruby Soho. I guess we'll
- 2:22:31Speaker 1: call her Ruby Sojo since that was an aw image,
- 2:22:37Speaker 1: Ruby Soho and her tag team partner Julia. Now this
- 2:22:42Speaker 1: right here, this, this is stardom Julia. Right here, this
- 2:22:45Speaker 1: is Julia, Ruby and Julia. Their opponents, Ria Ripley and Rhea.
- 2:23:03Speaker 1: Ripley's tag team partner is a Zoe Stark. It's a
- 2:23:25Speaker 1: fine tag team match. But man, be the booker, what
- 2:23:28Speaker 1: are you doing? What are you doing tonight? We went
- 2:23:32Speaker 1: from Zelina to Nikky Cross to Zoey Stark. You know
- 2:23:38Speaker 1: what I think? I think this is be the booker's
- 2:23:40Speaker 1: way of paying tribute. It's it's it's gotta be. This
- 2:23:47Speaker 1: is be the booker's way of paying tribute, because that
- 2:23:53Speaker 1: is just that's just wild that. It's just cruel. Either
- 2:24:04Speaker 1: that or be the booker is like the biggest troll.
- 2:24:06Speaker 1: I don't know one or the other. But I don't
- 2:24:08Speaker 1: blame me. I have no control over it. I create it,
- 2:24:12Speaker 1: but then it has a mind of its own. All Right,
- 2:24:16Speaker 1: our main event, all right, let's not be doing Alistair
- 2:24:20Speaker 1: Black in this main event please, or I don't think
- 2:24:23Speaker 1: Santos is in here. We have the American dream, Dusty
- 2:24:29Speaker 1: Roads with the rare red polka dots not yellow. We
- 2:24:32Speaker 1: have red polka dots here, and Dusty's opponents, well, we
- 2:25:03Speaker 1: got ourselves a mirror Matchy. Cody Rhodes is in tears
- 2:25:11Speaker 1: somewhere looking at this match. We have Dusty Roads taking
- 2:25:16Speaker 1: on Dusty Roads. The charisma, the charisma of this match.
- 2:25:22Speaker 1: Imagine the promos leading up to this match. What a
- 2:25:25Speaker 1: build up to this match. Yes, this is Cody's dream match.
- 2:25:32Speaker 1: He's gonna have a front row seat for this one.
- 2:25:41Speaker 1: Dusty couldn't have booked it. But now we just need
- 2:25:43Speaker 1: a Dusty finish. Yes, we need a Dusty finish for
- 2:25:45Speaker 1: this match. Was that sweep? It was a sweep? I
- 2:25:51Speaker 1: was so wrapped up in this match that I forgot
- 2:25:53Speaker 1: to hit the sound effect for the sweep. Dusty Roads
- 2:25:57Speaker 1: against Dusty Roads honestly better than most wrestling matches these days.
- 2:26:06Speaker 1: Dusty and Dusty, who goes over? Yeah, that's the question though?
- 2:26:16Speaker 1: Who does the job in that match? And EJ. Slimp
- 2:26:22Speaker 1: ranked these matchups from best to worst only two away
- 2:26:27Speaker 1: look at that. On that TI Bonus Cape. By the way,
- 2:26:29Speaker 1: eight out of ten ranked these matchups from best to worst.
- 2:26:33Speaker 1: HBK Versus Missawa, Undertaker versus Kobashi, Brent versus Kowata, Owen
- 2:26:43Speaker 1: versus Taue. Wow, those all sound like great matches, so
- 2:26:53Speaker 1: now I have to rank them. Undertaker in Kobashi? Are
- 2:26:56Speaker 1: we talking like mid two thousands like MMA Undertaker who
- 2:27:01Speaker 1: was actually wrestling? Or are we talking Greg Glove nineteen
- 2:27:05Speaker 1: ninety two Undertaker? Which Undertaker are we talking about? Here? Man?
- 2:27:10Speaker 1: I mean, it's how do I vote against HBK and Missawa?
- 2:27:13Speaker 1: That's like I mean, you talk about dream matches there. Yeah,
- 2:27:18Speaker 1: I think I would buy, I would rank HBK missaua
- 2:27:23Speaker 1: And then you know, Breton Kowata is an interesting one
- 2:27:28Speaker 1: because Brett had a match with Tiger Mask in nineteen ninety,
- 2:27:31Speaker 1: so Brett hadn't really reached his final form yet in
- 2:27:34Speaker 1: nineteen ninety. But that match was not that good. And
- 2:27:37Speaker 1: I don't know if it was just like if you
- 2:27:40Speaker 1: did that match five years later, it may be a
- 2:27:43Speaker 1: banger or just Brett not working well with some of
- 2:27:47Speaker 1: the Japanese wrestlers. I don't know, because I would put
- 2:27:50Speaker 1: Breton Kowa a second, but I don't know. I don't
- 2:27:52Speaker 1: know how that match would go. Yeah, Brett hard hated
- 2:27:58Speaker 1: working with Missawa, all right, Yeah, it's a good point. Kowata.
- 2:28:03Speaker 1: He says, Kowada is the greatest seller of all times.
- 2:28:05Speaker 1: So Brett versus Kowada. I'll go HBK Misawa and then
- 2:28:08Speaker 1: Brett Kowata, and then Owen and Taue and then Undertaker
- 2:28:14Speaker 1: in Kobashi last. I hate to put Kobashi last, but
- 2:28:18Speaker 1: in this case, I feel like I have to what
- 2:28:23Speaker 1: a joint card that would have been, though, I think
- 2:28:28Speaker 1: Kobashi would be taking a last ride from the Undertaker.
- 2:28:34Speaker 1: Brett would leave if he had to face Kowata. Why
- 2:28:38Speaker 1: why would he leave? Sting and Muda was not bad.
- 2:28:43Speaker 1: I think it was ninety one, No, it was eighty nine,
- 2:28:45Speaker 1: and it was better than not not that not that bad.
- 2:28:48Speaker 1: It was fucking great. Sting and Muda was awesome. I
- 2:28:52Speaker 1: think they've posted up some of that stuff on the
- 2:28:54Speaker 1: WCW channel on YouTube. If you are either not familiar
- 2:28:58Speaker 1: with it or you haven't seen it in many years,
- 2:29:00Speaker 1: you can find it on there. Muda in eighty nine
- 2:29:03Speaker 1: was great. Anyway, thank you guys for hanging out with
- 2:29:09Speaker 1: me on a very newsworthy Friday night. Unfortunately, a very
- 2:29:12Speaker 1: newsworthy Friday night. I would imagine there would be more
- 2:29:15Speaker 1: information that will be coming out in the days ahead
- 2:29:21Speaker 1: as far as these releases and what led to some
- 2:29:23Speaker 1: of them, or if there are additional ones, because they
- 2:29:25Speaker 1: may not be done yet, and so I'll have all
- 2:29:28Speaker 1: that information for you on the sound Off this Sunday's
- 2:29:31Speaker 1: a lot of stuff to get into on the Sounduff
- 2:29:33Speaker 1: this Sunday. I have one episode left, the final episode
- 2:29:37Speaker 1: of the Hulk Cogan docu series on Netflix, so if
- 2:29:39Speaker 1: I am able to finish that tomorrow, I will give
- 2:29:41Speaker 1: you my full thoughts on that. The Flare stuff, I mean,
- 2:29:47Speaker 1: there's just there, there's a ton of there's a ton
- 2:29:49Speaker 1: of stuff I want to get into, so we will
- 2:29:51Speaker 1: talk about all that episode nine sixty that will be
- 2:29:55Speaker 1: on Sunday, and as far as the week coming up
- 2:29:59Speaker 1: raw post show Monday night, we have the Uncrowned Wrestling
- 2:30:02Speaker 1: show on Tuesday, Tuesday Night, Titans that night, and then
- 2:30:05Speaker 1: Dynamite on Wednesday. There will not be a SmackDown review
- 2:30:07Speaker 1: next Friday because I will be at that time. I
- 2:30:10Speaker 1: will be doing commentary. I will be doing play by
- 2:30:12Speaker 1: play for the House of Glory show. Somebody in the
- 2:30:15Speaker 1: chat earlier asked me if there's tickets available. I believe
- 2:30:18Speaker 1: they should still be. I know we were very close
- 2:30:22Speaker 1: to a sellout. When I look at the map, it's weird,
- 2:30:25Speaker 1: Like I looked at the map earlier and it doesn't
- 2:30:29Speaker 1: show any like on the map available seats, but like
- 2:30:32Speaker 1: you can't choose on the bottom from either some balcony
- 2:30:36Speaker 1: or some general admissions. So, yes, there are still some
- 2:30:38Speaker 1: tickets available if you want to go to the show,
- 2:30:40Speaker 1: if you want to say hello, I'll be there. But yes,
- 2:30:43Speaker 1: that's where I will be. It's a quick thing too.
- 2:30:45Speaker 1: I'm flying into LA on Friday doing the show, and
- 2:30:49Speaker 1: then flying back to New York on Saturday morning. So
- 2:30:53Speaker 1: and then I got to get home because I got
- 2:30:54Speaker 1: to sound Off to do next Sunday. Wish me luck.
- 2:30:58Speaker 1: I do it all for you anyway. Be well, stay safe,
- 2:31:02Speaker 1: have your sill, have seen a great weekend, and keep
- 2:31:05Speaker 1: an eye out Sunday afternoon, episode nine to sixty of
- 2:31:08Speaker 1: The SoundOff. I'll see you guys on Monday night.
