  SPEAKER_00: Those are the two main characters.

  SPEAKER_00: Um but um I I think I don't know where I picked this up the first time.

  SPEAKER_00: I didn't have it, so I maybe I checked out the library a long time ago.

  SPEAKER_00: Um and I really enjoyed it and I haven't seen it since.

  SPEAKER_00: So it's been a long time, but I thought it was really enjoyable.

  SPEAKER_00: And I thought these two were so good together, which I was like really surprised on that too.

  SPEAKER_00: There's lots of action in this movie.

  SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah, I just I I and then it ended, and I'm going, wow, I really like that.

  SPEAKER_00: So um that's the only reason I'm picking it.

  SPEAKER_00: It's just like it's a fun movie.

  SPEAKER_00: I remember it being fun, and I just kind of want to see it again.

  SPEAKER_01: I've seen trailers for um I just I just haven't watched it before.

  SPEAKER_01: So yeah, I mean it's it looks like it's fun, and I like you know, the all the the actors that are in it that I know of that I'm like, yeah, my God, I've pretty much loved almost everything they've done.

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I I think the comedy is good and I think the action is good too.

  SPEAKER_01: I'm one I'm wondering if Kate McKinnon is gonna do like a a fake accent at one point or something because she's kind of known she's she's known for doing her voices.

  SPEAKER_00: And uh yeah, and but I like the two of them together.

  SPEAKER_00: Um, I just think it is like really good casting.

  SPEAKER_00: But maybe you'll have different thoughts.

  SPEAKER_01: I mean, visually, where you're looking at like, you know, um Mila is very short and you know, Kate McKinnon is not super tall, but taller.

  SPEAKER_01: Um, one is blonde, one is brunette, you know.

  SPEAKER_01: So it's like so they do have a lot of contrasting, you know, yeah, stuff together.

  SPEAKER_01: And then so it's like, yeah, it's uh it's the old buddy cop kind of like, you know, formula.

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, yeah.

  SPEAKER_00: And it's you know, and it and a lot of it is, you know, supposed to be like James Bond S kind of action.

  SPEAKER_00: But it's it's not it is kind of serious, but there's a lot of comedy in this.

  SPEAKER_00: It's it's really it's and it's listed as comedy action, and that's very descriptive.

  SPEAKER_01: I'm imagining it's kind of being like um this means war.

  SPEAKER_01: Um have you guys seen that one?

  SPEAKER_01: That's so where that's what I was thinking, where it's like spy comedy kind of like you know, kind of stuff.

  SPEAKER_00: I think the comedy is a little bit better in this one.

  SPEAKER_01: And since this was my first time watching it, I will go ahead and take us away on this one.

  SPEAKER_01: Um, I liked it a lot.

  SPEAKER_01: Um, I like that they kind of um, you know, they paid homage to a lot of like classic spy stuff while flipping it on its head and making fun of it almost.

  SPEAKER_01: Um yeah, um, I really liked the the two girls, Mila and Kate.

  SPEAKER_01: I thought they did great.

  SPEAKER_00: Weren't they good together?

  SPEAKER_00: It's like, oh my gosh, I hope they make other movies together.

  SPEAKER_00: I mean, they thought they were really good.

  SPEAKER_01: I could definitely see like they, you know, they come up with a sequel to this.

  SPEAKER_01: You know, so it's yeah, I mean it's been a while.

  SPEAKER_01: Um, but yeah, it's a it's a lot of fun.

  SPEAKER_01: Um, yeah, that's it's kind of hard to pick apart a movie like this where you're just like, well, you know, in reality, what's gonna happen.

  SPEAKER_01: You know, it's like, no, we're not, it's this is not in reality.

  SPEAKER_00: Um, but yeah, they kind of took the formula of an action movie, you know, it starts with action.

  SPEAKER_00: And uh, but I I yeah, I I just thought it it went together really well.

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, um I didn't didn't um let you know that Susanna Fogle, who directed it, also wrote it.

  SPEAKER_00: It was one of those things.

  SPEAKER_00: So it's like oh okay.

  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it it's a lot of fun, and then there's a lot of a lot of cameos of people popping up um, you know, to uh to include Paul Riser was in it, and it was like all of a sudden it's like wait, I haven't seen him in anything forever.

  SPEAKER_01: Gene, yeah, yeah, playing his wife too.

  SPEAKER_01: Those two together were just like playing off each other was so much fun, and it was just like uh that was that was a lot of fun.

  SPEAKER_01: And then even um there was the other guy who there was like one cameo of the guy who was a bad guy, and then it was like I'm like, oh, I've seen him in a bunch of stuff too.

  SPEAKER_01: And it's like yeah, so they all pop up, and then the assassin girl, um, the one that was on like the trapeze and stuff.

  SPEAKER_01: Um, I keep I would I s I was trying to figure out if Do you think you've seen her in Stinks?

  SPEAKER_01: I I I think I have I don't think I have.

  SPEAKER_01: I didn't think about that.

  SPEAKER_01: Um, so I kept looking at her going like I'm I I hope it's who I think it is, and then at the same time I was thinking.

  SPEAKER_00: As you're looking up, the guy that was his partner in the car, you know, kept saying he was from Harvard.

  SPEAKER_01: Oh yeah, yeah.

  SPEAKER_00: I I can't think of his name, but he's very funny.

  SPEAKER_01: His name is Hassan Min Minhan.

  SPEAKER_00: Yes, he's he's so funny.

  SPEAKER_01: Oh my god.

  SPEAKER_01: I love like the little uh you know, the those two kind of like playing off each other, like, oh my god, like you're gonna say it again, you're from Harvard.

  SPEAKER_01: Yes, we can it was that was that was a lot of fun with that part.

  SPEAKER_01: I thought that was really good.

  SPEAKER_01: Um, but I'm not really not quickly finding um who I was looking for anyway, but it's okay.

  SPEAKER_01: Um but yeah, but it's uh it's uh it's a good fun ride.

  SPEAKER_01: I mean that's that's what this movie is intended to be.

  SPEAKER_01: So it's like you know, you come along for the ride, there's a lot of twists and turns into it.

  SPEAKER_01: A lot of you don't know who to trust, you don't know who's telling the truth, you know, throughout the whole thing.

  SPEAKER_01: Which is, you know, essentially, you know, the whole premise behind the film is that yeah, you don't know who to you don't know who to trust.

  SPEAKER_01: So yeah, but it was it was a lot of fun.

  SPEAKER_01: Um I'm glad you enjoyed it.

  SPEAKER_00: Because yeah, I didn't I thought, well, either you're gonna maybe like well, I th I was hoping you'd enjoy it, but then I thought, well, maybe I'm not remembering it right.

  SPEAKER_00: Maybe it's a little bit more stupid than what I think But I thought it was kind actually kind of a smart movie.

  SPEAKER_01: It totally is, yeah.

  SPEAKER_01: And it's not the comedy's not like slapstick, you know, goofy, and it's not it's and then when like what I'm saying, like they're paying homage to like like classic spy stuff, but they're not doing it like as like a farce, you know.

  SPEAKER_01: They're not like no, no, they're they're actually it's not Liam Nielsen running around, you know, like you know, from like airplane t days, you know, and stuff like that, where he's just being goofy.

  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know, it's but no, it's it's a smart film and it's you know has a has a good has good character arcs in it and you know the you're rooting for the characters, you know, and then all of a sudden you're like, oh, this person's gonna help them.

  SPEAKER_01: Okay, so they're not helping them anymore.

  SPEAKER_01: Because I thought like the cab guy that they got into, I was like, I was like, oh, he's gonna be like their go-to guy, and like you know, he's gonna be but then it's like nope, that's not gonna happen.

  SPEAKER_01: It's like, oh, okay, moving on.

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah.

  SPEAKER_00: But uh yeah, I I I like the dialogue.

  SPEAKER_00: I thought it was really it was quick, but not too quick.

  SPEAKER_00: I mean, it could catch up on all the the one-liners and that sort of thing.

  SPEAKER_00: Um which is part of like a James Bond movie.

  SPEAKER_00: There's always there's always they throw in those one-liner things, you know.

  SPEAKER_00: It's like, but this movie, they throw them in, but they're really funny.

  SPEAKER_00: They really are.

  SPEAKER_00: They hit the mark every time.

  SPEAKER_00: So I thought they were pretty good.

  SPEAKER_01: I thought the action uh sequences in this were great.

  SPEAKER_01: Uh there was a lot of great fight sequences, uh, a lot of great cinematography on it.

  SPEAKER_01: So I thought that was those are really good.

  SPEAKER_00: That means a lot, because yeah, I mean, I I don't watch a lot of action movies just because it's like, ugh.

  SPEAKER_00: Do I have to watch Matt Matt Damon again fight somebody?

  SPEAKER_00: And oh my god.

  SPEAKER_00: I'm glad you enjoyed the the action part.

  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I I like that they had, you know, they they kind of you know played played with it a little bit.

  SPEAKER_01: And like, you know, like she you know, they're tied up and the the girl that's gonna be torturing them is on like a a gymnastic apparatus and like swinging at them.

  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I was just like, that's different.

  SPEAKER_01: You don't see that all the time.

  SPEAKER_01: Yeah.

  SPEAKER_01: Um, but yeah, the car chases were really, really well done, you know, the the fight sequences and stuff, you know.

  SPEAKER_00: And I did read about it because it they do go to a lot of different countries, and they actually did.

  SPEAKER_00: Oh they went to these different countries.

  SPEAKER_00: That's awesome.

  SPEAKER_00: Um, so it's like, yeah, they were there.

  SPEAKER_01: One of my favorite scenes was when they get in the car to get away and it's a stick shift and they can't drive it, and it's like slowly rolling down the hill.

  SPEAKER_00: They just had to ban just run out.

  SPEAKER_00: It's like, can you drive it?

  SPEAKER_00: No, I can't drive it.

  SPEAKER_00: It was still fun to watch the action and just the the way the actors' chemistry work together.

  SPEAKER_01: You know, yeah, because there's a lot of there's a lot of dynamics where it's like you got the two girls and their their relationship together, then it's like, okay, now it's her boyfriend, and then he's gone for, you know, spoiler, he comes back.

  SPEAKER_01: And it's like then there's the other the other spies' relationships and stuff, and it's like, yeah, but it's yeah, it's kind of funny just like how they've all they all like weave their way throughout this whole world, you know, going through this.

  SPEAKER_01: And of course, like in the end, it's like now they're professional spies and stuff.

  SPEAKER_01: It's like it's like okay.

  SPEAKER_00: It's like yeah, so that happens every day.

  SPEAKER_00: But no, I thought I thought it I I thought it was a lot of fun.

  SPEAKER_00: And I just think the cast really made it fun.

  SPEAKER_01: I mean it's good it's good writing, good directing, you know, great, you know, cinematography and all that good stuff, but it's like one you gotta have a good cast behind it to be able to sell it.

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they gotta have the timing to do the lines and to to be believable and when they're really really laughing or when they're really, you know, together.

  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because you gotta bel you gotta believe that these two girls are you know best friends and they've known each other for a long, long time and stuff.

  SPEAKER_01: And it's like and you honestly believe it, and you're like, yeah, that they look like they absolutely could be could be best friends.

  SPEAKER_01: So yeah, it's a lot of fun.

  SPEAKER_00: I do remember um when I obviously saw it on DVD the first time um that in the extra part, um, there was uh when they're tied up with their hands above their head and they're supposed to be telling the girl about the other ones.

  SPEAKER_00: Oh they they went on and on and on.

  SPEAKER_00: I bet there was a lot of all kinds of weird stuff.

  SPEAKER_00: They had so much material to work with because they were just going back and forth.

  SPEAKER_01: That's that's what I like about it.

  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, it's because it you you just seem like it seemed like everybody really had a good time doing this, you know.

  SPEAKER_00: It just seemed like it was like this would be kind of fun.

  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, I mean, it'd be hard work.

  SPEAKER_01: But yeah, it's it was definitely it was definitely a good one.

  SPEAKER_01: So that's that's definitely been uh been a good dynamic.

  SPEAKER_01: And then Kate McKinnon, I know, were mainly from SNL.

  SPEAKER_01: And you know, just the stuff that she's done done through that.

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and she seems pretty brave.

  SPEAKER_01: And I I was under the impression that Kate McKinnon was was taller, and I'm I have to stand corrected.

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they're both so they're very evenly matched as far as size-wise goes.

  SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they're they're both they're both actually very short.

  SPEAKER_01: Kind of a little bit they're taller than me, but they're a little bit shorter than well, and I guess it's like because I've seen a lot of like Mila standing next to uh to Ashton.

  SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you know, and Ashton's really tall of a sudden.

  SPEAKER_01: It's like, yeah, obviously she looks very small compared to him.

  SPEAKER_01: So and then uh Kate McKinnon, I'm I don't know the w the name of the woman that she married um not too long ago.

  SPEAKER_01: I was like, um, but yeah, but uh they're like about the same height too.

  SPEAKER_01: So it's like so it's like yeah, so but uh yeah, I thought that was kind of I thought that was kind of funny.

  SPEAKER_01: But at the end, the final shot, it was like Mila Kunis was like a foot like taller as they're standing there.
