No End In Sight For Congress’ Epstein Probe (7/10/26) · The Vault: The Epstein Files

Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
0:03
Epstein Chronicles. About a year ago, Congress set up a
0:07
committee that was tasked with overseeing the investigation into Jeffrey Epstein,
0:13
Glene Maxwell and their crimes. However, after a year, we
0:18
still don't have much to go on. Nobody has been
0:22
held accountable, nobody is under investigation that we know about,
0:27
and shockingly, the only two people that we know have
0:30
been referred are two people that were accused by Sarah
0:35
Kellen Vickers. Do you mean to tell me that all
0:38
the other accusations that have been made are not up
0:42
to snuff, that they don't have enough behind them for
0:46
them to be pursued, Because if you're trying to tell
0:49
me that, I'm going to tell you it's a bunch
0:51
of bs. Because there's plenty of information about plenty of
0:55
people who should be referred for criminal indictment to the
0:59
Justice depart But we haven't seen much of that, have we,
1:03
And unfortunately I'm not confident that we will. And again
1:07
it's all by design. In my opinion, I don't think
1:10
this committee was ever enacted to get anything done, and
1:14
if it wasn't for the discharge petition, forget it. So
1:19
today we have an article from Politico and here's the headline.
1:23
This is just the beginning when you're in there's no
1:26
end in sight for Congress's Epstein probe. This article was
1:31
authored by Haley Fuchs. The House Oversight Committee Jeffrey Epstein
1:36
investigation will hit the one year mark later this month,
1:39
and the saga isn't ending anytime soon. Well, it's certainly
1:43
not ending around these parts anytime soon. Now, we're definitely
1:47
going to be talking about other things. And over the
1:49
past few weeks we've already started talking a little bit
1:52
more about Alec Murda. Well, we're gonna start talking about
1:57
the Tyler Robinson trial as well, because there there's been
2:00
a lot of bs talked about Charlie Kirk's murder. And
2:04
now that we're getting to a point where we're getting
2:07
some actual evidence, I think it's time to have the
2:10
conversation right follow along with the trial, look at the evidence,
2:14
see what's what. And I'm coming into that with a
2:18
very sober eye. I have no preconceived notions about anything,
2:24
and we're just gonna follow the evidence wherever it takes us.
2:28
But one thing I was always skeptical of was Candace
2:31
Owens and her bullshit. She tried the same thing with
2:36
Brian Cooleberger. She tried to insert herself into that case
2:40
and tried to turn it into this gigantic conspiracy and
2:44
thankfully her bullshit didn't take But here in the Charlie
2:48
Kirk case, when you have something that explosive, something that
2:51
politically sensitive, you're gonna find an audience for you're crazy,
2:56
and Candace Owens has certainly capitalized on that. And when
2:59
she tried it with Brian Kolberger, I knew she was
3:03
talking out of the side of her neck. And my
3:05
guess has always been that's the same story when it
3:07
comes to Charlie Kirk. So we're diving into that for ourselves.
3:12
And now that the preliminary hearing started this week, I've
3:15
been able to get more of a handle on what
3:18
the prosecution actually has because remember, that's what matters, what's
3:23
the evidence, Because for me, that's all that really matters,
3:26
not my opinion, not what I think, not what my
3:30
bias tells me, but where does the evidence take us.
3:33
So that's what we're going to be doing when we're
3:36
covering the Tyler Robinson trial and the first series that
3:41
I have planned is just diving into the official narrative
3:44
and what the official story is and what evidence the
3:49
government says it has. And look, as you all know,
3:53
I'm not exactly somebody who trusts the government. But that
3:56
doesn't mean that every case is a gigantic conspiracy. So
4:00
we're going to get to that in a little bit,
4:01
but first let's finish this article. No matter which party
4:05
ends up in control in the next Congress, the Oversight
4:08
Panel will remain under pressure to continue to investigate the
4:12
late convicted sex offender and the web of power players
4:15
who may have been complicit in his crimes. May have
4:18
been complicit, may have been complicit. All these fools were
4:23
complicit one way or the other. Doesn't mean everybody was diddling,
4:27
but everybody was around, everybody knew, and anybody who says
4:32
any different, they're bullshitting you. Democrats are making clear that
4:36
they view the committee's work under Republican leadership as incomplete
4:40
and that the Epstein case will be central to their
4:42
oversight of President Donald Trump's administration if they win the
4:46
majority in the midterms, and I think that's a likely possibility, right,
4:52
I mean, the midterms historically fade to the side that's
4:57
not in power. So I would think that the Democrats,
5:01
with everything that's going on, are going to make some
5:04
inroads and at least take the House. Is that going
5:07
to be enough? I don't know. And to tell you
5:10
the truth, I'm not exactly confident in the Democrats' leadership either.
5:15
Just take a look at how they dealt with Graham Platner.
5:21
This is just the beginning. Representative Melanie Stansbury of New
5:24
Mexico and Oversight Democrats said in an interview, I believe
5:28
this is the administration's watergate. I think that it's clear
5:32
that they're complicit in covering crimes and shielding the president
5:36
from accountability and evating the law. And so I'd like
5:39
to see all of them in front of the committee
5:41
under oath. Well, I'd like to see that too. And
5:45
they're certainly a cover up, and I think it would
5:47
be good if we focused more on that cover up.
5:53
But people like Melanie Stansbury, they're only interested in salacious nonsense.
5:59
She hasn't had down on the real facts of the case.
6:02
Every single one of these Congress people that get up there,
6:05
the first question is Donald Trump, Donald Trump, Donald Trump
6:09
and that's not how we're going to get to the
6:10
victory line. I keep telling you guys that, and if
6:14
that makes people mad, I don't care. I don't know
6:17
how many times I have to say it. I'm not
6:19
in this for the clicks. I don't even do any
6:21
marketing for my podcast. If you found my podcast, either
6:25
somebody told you about it or you stumbled upon it.
6:29
So if you think I care about winning any popularity
6:32
contests or doing what the masses want me to do,
6:36
you've come to the wrong place. I really just don't care.
6:39
I don't have any kind of social media profile to
6:42
worry about. I don't have sponsors, I don't have crowdfunding,
6:46
none of it. So I'm able to say whatever I
6:49
want whenever I want to say it, and at times
6:52
it costs me listeners, and hey, that's cool, I get it.
6:56
But I'm not going to change who I am, and
6:58
I'm certainly not going to plan any games to try
7:01
and you know, get people to listen to my podcast.
7:05
What I'm saying to you is the same shit I'd
7:08
be saying in the backyard to the homies. And if
7:12
you don't believe me, you can ask them. Do you
7:16
know how many times these people, my friends, have told
7:19
me to shut my aap. They didn't care. They don't
7:21
want to hear it for five more seconds. Yeah, just
7:24
about every barbecue. Finally, one of them said to me, Hey, Bobby,
7:29
why don't you just start a podcast and then you
7:31
could run your app all day and you can say
7:33
what you want to say and we won't have to
7:36
listen to your nonsense anymore. It works out great for everybody.
7:39
So my point is, even if nobody was listening, I'd
7:42
still be saying the same stuff. And you know why,
7:45
because this is what I believe. This isn't some larp,
7:49
this isn't some gag, This isn't me just make and
7:53
pretend the shit I tell you on this podcast, That's
7:57
what I believe. Republicans meanwhile, say the public's appetite for
8:03
answers in the Epstein case won't be satiated no matter
8:06
what new details the panel on Earth. Oh give me
8:09
a break. Before it was the Republicans crying and crying
8:12
and crying NonStop about the Epstein issue. But now all
8:16
of a sudden, Oh, there's never going to be enough. Well,
8:19
how about you give us something worthwhile? How about we
8:22
start there people are never going to be satisfied with
8:28
the Congressional Investigation throughout history. Set Oversight Chair James Comer
8:32
of Kentucky, who, due to GOP term limits, will no
8:35
longer be the panel's top Republican in the next Congress. Well,
8:39
thank god, because James Comer is an absolute tool, an
8:44
absolute buffoon. Him and his robber barons have caused a
8:49
lot of damage here and they've destroyed a lot of credibility. Well,
8:54
he had hoped to wrap up the interviews by the
8:56
August recess. Comer added, it's probably going to be hard
8:59
because it seems like after every deposition we get another
9:03
name or two that we need to talk to. Imagine
9:05
if they would have just done their jobs from the
9:07
very beginning. I know novel idea that means the Congressional
9:13
Epstein Probe could continue for the foreseeable future, not only
9:17
out of hope of finding a smoking gun, but also
9:20
because of the political incentives to keep investigating. For Democrats
9:25
as well as Republicans are impossible to resist. And I
9:29
have to tell you the way that this topic has
9:30
been politicized recently is a big time turnoff. That's never
9:35
what this was supposed to be. I can't tell you
9:38
how many people back in twenty nineteen I worked with
9:42
to try and get justice here that I didn't agree
9:45
with politically, but I was able to shelve my personal
9:48
bias for the greater good, and the greater good was
9:52
getting rid of these scumbags. But unfortunately that didn't work,
9:57
and it becoming more and more are clear to me
10:00
that there's never going to be unity on any topic.
10:04
If we can't come to the center here and come
10:08
to some kind of truce while we get rid of
10:11
these people, forget it. It's over. America is effectively broken
10:16
into different groups. Now there's no single America. There's no
10:20
heartbeat of America. There's only what's good politically, and I
10:25
find it disgusting. These are real people, people whose lives
10:30
were fucking ruined, and the same people that ignored them
10:34
the first time around. Well now they're just politicizing everything
10:38
and not making any ground and not bringing anyone to justice.
10:42
I mean, they won't even go after the banking records.
10:45
What does that tell you? You don't want to follow the
10:48
money of one of the biggest launderers in the history
10:51
of America. Okay, cool, So you're just not serious about
10:55
what's going on. The panel interviewed more than a dozen people,
11:02
and none so far have shared any new information culminating
11:05
in criminal charges. But the panel has made history by
11:09
making a host of powerful people answer for their willful
11:13
association with a convicted sex offender, Among them commerce secretary
11:18
Howard Lutnick, the billionaire investor Leon Black, and tech mogul
11:22
and philanthropist Bill Gates. Blacking Gates both admitted to knowing
11:26
about Epstein's criminal history, at least in part, while continuing
11:30
to associate with them. Oh, they knew. They didn't care,
11:34
Like I told you, Unlike the rest of these people,
11:38
I don't hide from what I've said in the past.
11:41
All those reposted episodes, they're from twenty twenty one, twenty nineteen,
11:47
all the way back, and as you can see, the
11:51
record has been consistent, at least around these parts. There
11:54
have been some other revelations too. Sarah Kellen, a former assistant,
11:58
gave lawmakers the names of two men potentially implicated in
12:02
Epstein's misdeeds, hair stylists Frederick Foquai and former Miami Beach
12:07
mayor Philip Levine, who both have denied wrongdoing well. Frederick
12:12
Forrakai is not a new name to us. We've been
12:14
talking about him for a while. But I will say
12:17
I never heard anything about mister Levine, mister Levine, whatever
12:21
you want to call him, up until Sarah Kellen told
12:24
us what she told us. So that is the new name.
12:27
One thing I'll give the committee is that is the
12:29
new name Black in the middle of his transcribed interview
12:34
with slab with subpoenas that'll force him to reappear and
12:37
hand over non disclosure agreements that could be tied to
12:40
Epstein and ousted. Former Attorney General Pam Bondi underscored the
12:45
extent to which her then deputy Todd Blanche led the
12:49
Justice Department's haphazard release of the Epstein files after Congress
12:53
forced the department's hand last fall. Blanche, now the acting
12:58
Attorney General vying to lead the DOJ permanently, is expected
13:02
to be heavily questioned about the matter at his Senate
13:05
confirmation hearing next week, and House Oversight could separately call
13:09
him to speak with the panel in the coming weeks. Look,
13:14
if Todd Blanche actually gets confirmed, that's gonna tell us
13:18
everything we need to know, because if they confirm him,
13:23
that means they're all in on it. A yes vote
13:27
is a vote for Jeffrey Epstein's bullshit, and that's just
13:31
the way it is. Representative Robert Garcia California, who is
13:37
poised to become Oversight chair next year if Democrats sweep
13:40
the fall elections, noted that the ongoing investigation has also
13:44
set a new precedent. The panel's decision earlier this year
13:48
to compel the sweign testimony of former President Bill Clinton,
13:51
he said, could pave the way for other former presidents
13:56
to be hit with subpoenas, and that includes Trump, who
13:59
is on scrutiny from his own relationship with Epstein. And
14:03
it was very transparent at the time. What the Democrats
14:05
were trying to do. The whole entire goal with getting
14:09
Bill Clinton up there and the Democrats going along with it,
14:13
was to eventually get Trump in the crosshairs. That's what
14:15
they were trying to do. They want Trump up there
14:18
to give a deposition. And now that Bill Clinton did it, well,
14:22
how can Trump deny them. He'll try, but it gives
14:26
them political ammunition and at the end of the day,
14:29
that's what Robert Garcia is looking for. I have a
14:32
lot of doubts about Robert Garcia and his real motivations. Sorry,
14:37
but I do. That includes Trump, who has drawn scrutiny
14:41
for his own relationship with Epstein. Democrats have argued the
14:44
administration has concealed the extent of that relationship, but Trump
14:49
has maintained that he and Epstein had a falling out
14:52
long before Epstein's death by suicide allegedly behind bars in
14:56
twenty nineteen. The President has not been charged with wrongdoing.
15:01
There are, however, limits to what Congress can do to
15:04
bring people to account. Already, Committee Republicans have recommended that
15:08
the Justice Department investigate allegations against Frederick Vicai and Levigne.
15:14
In a statement, a DOJ official confirmed the Department had
15:17
to receive the recommendation from the Committee and the FBI
15:21
was looking into it. Oh, I'm sure they are. The
15:27
allegations Kellen made in her interview to Oversight included names
15:30
of reported perpetrators that she apparently did not raise in
15:34
her FBI interviews during the course of the investigation into
15:37
Epstein and Maxwell. The official said, the FBI is in
15:41
the process of confirming that if during the course of
15:44
their review, FBI encounters of evidence of a federal crime,
15:48
they will investigate the matter. Wow, well we can all
15:51
rest easy. The FBI is on the job, folks. Comer
15:56
hinted that the House Oversight Committee would pursue criminal referrals
15:59
to the deal. We believe there are people that deserve
16:03
to be prosecuted, and we're going to do everything in
16:05
our ability to see that happen. I promise the survivors that. Yeah, well,
16:11
pretty words, let's see some action. Garcia said some witnesses
16:16
who came to testify voluntarily and were not toworn in
16:19
under oath would in a Democratic majority be called back
16:22
again to give formal depositions, such as BONDI well, that's good.
16:27
They should all be formal voluntarily. Committee Democrats have also
16:32
expressed an interest in getting testimony via subpoena from FBI
16:37
Director Cash Betel as a explorer not just Epstein's network
16:41
of associates, but the federal governments on even handling of
16:45
the matter. That's what we have to focus on. I
16:48
know people don't want to hear it. Everybody wants the salacious,
16:52
big time caller, and I'm here to tell you that's
16:55
not going to happen. That ship is heeld. If you
16:58
want justice here, focus on the cover up. If you
17:01
want to fuck around and cause distractions and whatever, cool
17:05
talk about the other shit. But if you're looking for justice,
17:09
and you're looking the whole people accountable, one way to
17:12
do with folks. The Epstein probe will not be over
17:17
GARCIA pledged until they release all the files and until
17:21
ideally criminal convictions out of the DOJ. But any referral
17:25
would be merely advisory. Only the Trump administration can decide
17:29
who to target with federal charges. It's also highly unlikely
17:33
that a sitting president could be compelled to participate in
17:36
the committee's Epstein probe through a subpoena. That wasn't the point.
17:41
It's for when he's out of office. They're going to
17:43
try and hit him with that subpoena when he's out
17:45
of office, to get them to testify. That was the goal.
17:50
Representative Thomas Massey suggested that the House effort was only
17:53
serving to provide cover for the Justice Department to avoid accountability. Frankly,
17:58
bringing all these people in is still part of the
18:01
charade and the diversion from what should happen, which is
18:05
that the DOJ should bring charges against people for whom
18:09
there's credible evidence. Massey, who lost his re election primary
18:13
to a Trump backed challenger, said in an interview everything
18:16
that happens in oversight is just part of trying to
18:19
slack over the whole thing. Bingo. That's all it is.
18:23
That's all it ever will be. Massy teamed up last
18:29
year with Representative Rocana to force a vote on legislation
18:33
requiring the Justice Department to make public all the Epstein
18:36
material in its possession. The Trump White House ought to
18:39
block the measure, and with Republicans not wanting to disobey
18:43
their president or alienate their base clamoring for transparency, Speaker
18:48
Mike Johnson sent the House home rather than keep the
18:51
members in town to rive amid the uproar. But before
18:55
lawmakers departed, Democrats forced a surprise bipartisan vote vote during
19:00
an oversight subcommittee hearing, compelling the Justice Department to turn
19:04
over the Epstein files to Congress. That vote launched the
19:07
Epstein probe at a time when the DOJ was still
19:10
refusing to cooperate fully on its own, a shift that
19:14
took place in November when Trump finally relented and allowed
19:18
Congress to pass Massey and Conna's Epstein File Transparency Act
19:22
with near unanimous support. And remember he couldn't veto it,
19:27
so that's the only reason he got behind it. Since
19:31
that time, the rollout of the files has been full
19:34
of mistakes, including botch disclosures of victim information and excessive redactions.
19:39
Lawmakers of both parties argue the DOJ has not fully
19:43
complied with the law. Well, that's because they haven't. Is
19:47
there any real argument against that statement. Representative Tim Burchett,
19:53
another Oversight Committee member, said he didn't know how the
19:56
Epstein investigation would end, but was an optimist that there
20:00
would be a satisfying conclusion. This town moves, I mean,
20:04
glaciers run past us, Burchett said, We've been studying the
20:09
Kennedy assassination and we're still getting information on it. I
20:12
don't have a lot of faith in the system. I
20:14
don't care who's in charge. I think that the sewer
20:17
is too deep. What are you doing about it? Congressman?
20:22
Riding your skateboard, posting on Twitter, being a social media influencer,
20:27
you ain't done shit. Oh you say some cool stuff
20:30
and people like it, and they think you're some kind
20:33
of rebel but when it comes down to it, you're
20:36
just another yes man. All of you highly disappointing. And
20:41
you know what else has been disappointing. The whole entire committee,
20:45
This whole entire process has been disappointing. And I don't
20:48
think that's going to change, because I think this committee
20:51
had one goal and one purpose, and that purpose was
20:55
to control of the blast radius. And if it wasn't
20:58
for that discharge petition, that's exactly what they would have done.
21:03
All right, folks, that's gonna do it for this one.
