- 0:05Speaker 1: All right, Williams Sonoma, Williams, He's not in Williamstone. He's
- 0:13Speaker 1: on the south side. Well, no, Williams Sonoma's not there anymore.
- 0:16Speaker 1: He's where William Sooma. No, he's on the south side
- 0:19Speaker 1: by Weller Books. Okay, south side by Weller Books.
- 0:21Speaker 2: All right, Oh it's where that. It's like right across
- 0:26Speaker 2: from Weller Books.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, Well, let's see. Nathan Fillion has ended his
- 0:34Speaker 1: week long social media campaign hinting at some news involving
- 0:40Speaker 1: a project. And now what this has been is Instagram
- 0:43Speaker 1: videos from his Instagram account where he would show up
- 0:47Speaker 1: at various members of Fireflies Casts homes and he would
- 0:54Speaker 1: be very mysteriously knock on the door and he'd say like,
- 0:57Speaker 1: come on, we're doing it, you know, just little hints
- 1:00Speaker 1: like that we're doing it. Yeah, come on, we're doing it.
- 1:03Speaker 1: And that would be it. And then he kept saying
- 1:06Speaker 1: we got a big announcement to make it awesome con
- 1:08Speaker 1: in Washington, and so nerds went crazy. Sure, well, it's
- 1:14Speaker 1: gonna be a reboot. They're gonna they're gonna do Firefly again.
- 1:17Speaker 1: That's what you would think they are, but they aren't.
- 1:23Speaker 1: It will be an animated rebook and it's through his
- 1:28Speaker 1: production company. He says he's got the he says he
- 1:32Speaker 1: got permission. He says, I couldn't do it unless I
- 1:34Speaker 1: got Joss Whedon's blessing. He has given it and as
- 1:38Speaker 1: far as the IP goes, we've got that taken care of.
- 1:42Speaker 1: Now we just need a you know, and we've got
- 1:45Speaker 1: an animation house that says they'll do it. We just
- 1:48Speaker 1: need to find somebody who will put it on there
- 1:52Speaker 1: whatever you knowhere. So he's been asking people please on
- 1:58Speaker 1: social media, let it be that you want this, and
- 2:01Speaker 1: then maybe in Netflix or an Amazon or somebody will
- 2:04Speaker 1: come along and say we'll take that. It'll be interesting.
- 2:09Speaker 1: I this is not usually how shows get made, no,
- 2:14Speaker 1: but he's doing his best. Now. We got a couple
- 2:19Speaker 1: of other shows that are not going to be happening
- 2:24Speaker 1: that were announced officially. The Buffy the Vampire Slayer not
- 2:29Speaker 1: going to be a Hulu was going to do it.
- 2:32Speaker 1: It was going to be called Buffy New Sunnydale would
- 2:36Speaker 1: have seen Sarah Michelle Geller return training a new young Slayer,
- 2:40Speaker 1: but no. But she went on her Instagram and said
- 2:44Speaker 1: Hulu has opted not to move forward with the show.
- 2:49Speaker 1: So yeah, She's thanked everybody and said sorry, we just
- 2:54Speaker 1: you know, they're just not interested. It was going to
- 2:56Speaker 1: be set twenty five years after the original series. So
- 2:59Speaker 1: that was him interesting because I thought, out of all
- 3:01Speaker 1: of those projects, that one had the most chance to
- 3:04Speaker 1: go another one that's been canceled. So do you have
- 3:11Speaker 1: any good news? I might, I might later, I don't know.
- 3:14Speaker 1: I think it was good news that Buffy's canceled. Paramount
- 3:19Speaker 1: their new model for franchise movies is you have two
- 3:23Speaker 1: people write a script, okay, and then what they do
- 3:26Speaker 1: is they take both of the scripts that they like
- 3:29Speaker 1: and stick them together. Okay, well, all right, all right, well,
- 3:35Speaker 1: uh the G I. Joe movie. Max Landis, who is
- 3:40Speaker 1: John Landis's kid, who's a real third Yeah, Max Landis
- 3:47Speaker 1: and and well both of them are turds. Who's the
- 3:50Speaker 1: other turd?
- 3:51Speaker 2: His father?
- 3:52Speaker 1: Oh? His father? I thought you mad? You said, there
- 3:54Speaker 1: her two scripts. There are two scripts. The second script
- 3:57Speaker 1: is Danny McBride's. Well, he's not a turd. He is
- 4:00Speaker 1: a good guy. He was hired to work on a
- 4:01Speaker 1: separate script for G I. Joe movie. But the Paramount
- 4:06Speaker 1: people read Max Landis's script and said, oh no, no,
- 4:10Speaker 1: not at all. I just tossed to decide. Maybe someone
- 4:14Speaker 1: googled him, Oh, we can't have him, and they went, oh,
- 4:18Speaker 1: he's he's going to be a problem. Oh I see
- 4:21Speaker 1: he's a turd, isn't he. H Yeah, So they're three
- 4:26Speaker 1: years ago. Landis addressed what he called serious mistakes in
- 4:29Speaker 1: relationships and described himself as a toxic partner to his girlfriend.
- 4:33Speaker 1: At least he admits it. He said on a video,
- 4:36Speaker 1: I get why certain people hate me.
- 4:40Speaker 2: Oh did you get the rest of that quote? He said,
- 4:42Speaker 2: it's because I'm a turd. It's because I'm a turd.
- 4:46Speaker 2: So they said absolutely no to his script. They they're
- 4:49Speaker 2: keeping Danny McBride's. So maybe it's maybe it's much better.
- 4:54Speaker 1: Ah. And then this little bit of us made me
- 4:57Speaker 1: very very happy. In an interview Paul Bettany, who played Vision,
- 5:03Speaker 1: I was talking about the WandaVision spin off. Now this
- 5:08Speaker 1: is a trilogy. It's WandaVision Agatha all along and this
- 5:13Speaker 1: new one coming up called Vision Quest, and it's being
- 5:16Speaker 1: put together by Terry Mettalis, who did the final season
- 5:20Speaker 1: of Picard, which everybody loves so much. Why did I
- 5:22Speaker 1: think Vision died? He did, but he's a robot, so
- 5:28Speaker 1: you know, okay, he can come back. He's white Vision.
- 5:30Speaker 1: Now you have to watch the show to know what's
- 5:33Speaker 1: going on. But here's what Paul Betny said. He said,
- 5:37Speaker 1: I think that Terry Mettalis, the showrunner, realized and agreed
- 5:40Speaker 1: with me that I feel like Marvel gets rewarded when
- 5:43Speaker 1: it takes really big swings. And I think he just
- 5:46Speaker 1: understood in his bones who Vision is, and Vision is
- 5:50Speaker 1: for the kid that I was when I was a kid,
- 5:51Speaker 1: the kid that felt like an outsider. They felt like
- 5:54Speaker 1: they had no community to fit into. And he knew
- 5:57Speaker 1: these stories. He knew who they were for and who
- 6:00Speaker 1: Vision is for. And I think we made a really fun,
- 6:02Speaker 1: entertaining show about a guy who's an outsider. Now, Terry
- 6:06Speaker 1: Mettallis was talking about how much fun he had making
- 6:10Speaker 1: this show. He says, I don't know how much I'm
- 6:12Speaker 1: allowed to say because we're still early out. I think
- 6:17Speaker 1: it comes out well, I don't even think I can
- 6:18Speaker 1: tell you that, so we don't know much. It'll come
- 6:21Speaker 1: out later this year, later in the year. I would
- 6:24Speaker 1: love nothing more than to show it to you right now.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I'm so very proud of what we did, and I
- 6:30Speaker 1: would have to say, if you're a fan of Paul
- 6:32Speaker 1: Betany and James Spader, vision Quest is a delivery system
- 6:36Speaker 1: for those two. It's one of my most favorite things,
- 6:39Speaker 1: even in post. It is delicious to watch these two
- 6:42Speaker 1: cut it up. I'm very proud of it, and I
- 6:44Speaker 1: can't wait for you to see it. And so that, Yeah,
- 6:48Speaker 1: so we confirmation Spader is back as Ultron. And I
- 6:53Speaker 1: rewatched Age of Ultron a few days ago, and because
- 6:57Speaker 1: it's motion capture on his face, you can see the
- 7:01Speaker 1: spaderisms in Ultron's face. That makes it worth going. And
- 7:05Speaker 1: he'll and he'll go yeah, and as Spader does sometimes
- 7:09Speaker 1: you know, now, Denny, he'll he'll smack his lips, you know, now, Denny,
- 7:17Speaker 1: Are we sexist? Denny? Oh, I'm not sexist. I love women.
