  Father that arts and Heaven. I come to you and

  prayer to be able to have the Holy Spirit be

  able to speak through this mic and go through the
• 0:14
  listener's ears and be able to reach their hearts and
• 0:16
  minds and be able to apply these verses to their lives.

  And the Lord Jesus Christ's name, I pray a mint.

  So this is going to be a little bit different episode.

  There's a few different verses that I'm going to go through,

  and I just want to highly encourage you to just listen.

  I know normally I say grab your Bible or get
• 0:38
  on your bible lap, but I really want to just
• 0:40
  have your full on attention, allow the Spirit to be
• 0:44
  able to work through you and by listening and being
• 0:48
  obedient and not distracted. And I hope you ready because

  this is coming off of a paper that I got

  from Celebrate Recovery, and it is Principal five. Voluntarily submit

  to every change God wants to make in my life

  and humbly ask him to remove my character defects. Now

  we're going to take the my word out and put
• 1:20
  yours in you and die because these Bible studies aren't
• 1:27
  just for you, they're for me as well. Amen, Because

  I know that the Holy Spirit is in me, and
• 1:36
  by following Christ and having that consciousness of Christ in
• 1:40
  me each and every day is the armor of God.
• 1:45
  And that doesn't make me any better than the believer.
• 1:48
  I want to make this clear. You know, we're going
• 1:51
  to be in Matthew, We're going to be in James These,
• 1:54
  You're going to be all the single verses and psalms.
• 1:58
  We're going to also be in in Peter one. And
• 2:03
  we're also going to be in Matthew chapter twelve and
• 2:07
  First John chapter three. And I will encourage you if
• 2:14
  you would like to get a notebook out and maybe
• 2:15
  take some notes. That might be something that be very
• 2:21
  beneficial to be able to look back on later on.

  So let's just go ahead and jump into it. It's
• 2:30
  basically we're talking about recovery. Are you ready to also
• 2:36
  heal is a part of recovery. It's not necessarily just
• 2:40
  putting the drink down. It's not just putting the drug down.
• 2:45
  Also realizing that there's a lot of substitutes that we
• 2:52
  use in order to fill these other addictions that have
• 2:56
  ruled our lives, and there's no better. There's some good
• 3:00
  habits and there's some bad habits. Right, So I want
• 3:03
  to talk about ready and what it stands for. Okay,
• 3:11
  and this is also my preaching, my teaching, and also
• 3:16
  a little bit of celebrate recovery in the makes as well.

  So it's Christ driven. This Bible study is Christ driven.
• 3:23
  So we're going to release. That's the that's the word
• 3:28
  for r. We're going to go down to EA d
• 3:31
  Y in a moment, but release control. A lot of
• 3:35
  us have so much that we try to control, and
• 3:42
  we don't need to have control over those areas of
• 3:46
  other people's lives, of our lives, and especially control over
• 3:50
  what God's doing. And it's in Psalms chapter one, three,
• 3:56
  verse ten, help me to do your will, so you
• 4:00
  are my God, lead me in good paths for your spirit.
• 4:05
  It's talking about the Holy Spirit is good, release the control,
• 4:11
  release it. We're already into five minutes into this episode
• 4:18
  and it's already about not you what do we do
• 4:25
  with this release of control? Though? Right it's almost like
• 4:28
  you're driving down the road and oh my goodness, you
• 4:31
  release the wheel. If you're going one hundred miles an hour,
• 4:34
  that's going to be you need somebody else to take control. Amen.

  So we're going to talk about e as easy does it,
• 4:42
  And we're in Psalms chapter thirty seven for this verse
• 4:45
  that comes with it easy does it. Living life on
• 4:50
  our own terms is hard. Life in general can be hard,
• 4:53
  but we can make it easier, Amen, not only with
• 4:56
  the word of God, but with the relationship with Christ.

  Being able to lean on not our own understanding. Commit
• 5:03
  everything you do to the Lord, trust him to help
• 5:07
  you do it, and he will. That's in Psalms chapter
• 5:11
  thirty seven, verse five I basically explains itself. Now being
• 5:16
  able to realize that the Lord's will he wants to
• 5:20
  prosper you. There's dreams and goals that have been placed
• 5:25
  in you, and you have gotten distracted along the way,
• 5:28
  whether it be from people, places and things, whether it
• 5:30
  be we can get we can get deeper into that,
• 5:32
  but we're just gonna go down to the next world.
• 5:34
  We're going to keep it moving. Accept the change. Being
• 5:40
  able to accept that you are powerless over something is
• 5:45
  very hard. When that something was a mechanism that was
• 5:49
  something that was used to be able to cope. So
• 5:54
  when we're talking about Pete one, first Peter chapter one,
• 6:00
  verse thirteen through fourteen states, So then have your minds
• 6:04
  ready for action, Have your minds ready for action. Keep
• 6:09
  alert and set your hope completely on the blessing which
• 6:14
  we will be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed.
• 6:19
  Be obedient to God. Now how do you be obedient
• 6:22
  to God, God Almighty, the one that created everything, the
• 6:27
  heavens and the earth. How we follow his son be
• 6:32
  able to just like it says? Easy? Does it before? Right?
• 6:38
  They all go together, they all tie together. When Christ
• 6:42
  is revealed to you, it's an invitation you accept him
• 6:44
  as your Lord and savior. There's so much that eventually
• 6:49
  becomes revealed, and there's renewing of the mind, there's renewing
• 6:53
  of the habits, there's renewing of so many different things. Now,
• 6:56
  don't let this bore you, because following Christ is nothing
• 7:00
  but spectacular, nothing, nothing short of it. And I want
• 7:05
  you to realize, I've been on the other side. I've
• 7:08
  been on the fence, and now I know it's side
• 7:11
  I want to stay on. And we're going to go
• 7:14
  down to d for replace. Do replace your character defects.
• 7:24
  It's the defects, the anger, the lust, the fear. There's
• 7:31
  so many and I'm going to get into Matthew chapter twelve.
• 7:35
  But there's so many things that we allow others' opinions
• 7:39
  and what they say about us, and what they think
• 7:41
  about us, and what they gossip about us to affect
• 7:44
  us in a mighty way, when truthfully, you need to
• 7:47
  be able to have help, be able to block out
• 7:53
  these certain things. Right. But when an evil spirit goes
• 7:57
  out of a person, it travels over rye country looking
• 8:01
  for a place to rest. If it can't find one,
• 8:05
  it says to itself, I will go back to my house.
• 8:08
  So it goes back and finds the house empty. Then
• 8:11
  it goes out and brings along seven other spirits, even
• 8:16
  worse than itself, and they come and live there. So
• 8:19
  when you when you exit the lifestock, when you stop drinking,
• 8:26
  stop using, right, you need not only just a program.
• 8:32
  You need the spirit, the Holy Spirit to be able
• 8:38
  to take over and be able to divinely in the vene,
• 8:43
  Divine protect you for when that spirit may try to
• 8:47
  come back. And as long as you are focused on
• 8:51
  Jesus Christ. I'm going to tell you right now, these
• 8:53
  spirits can't come back. If you have a significant other
• 8:56
  that it's divinely protected and under a witness protection, you
• 9:02
  cannot be harmed. You will still feel emotions, you will
• 9:06
  still feel thoughts, but as long as you are connected
• 9:10
  to the divine, you are saved. You are protected. Amen.

  So when we go down to yield to the growth,
• 9:21
  we all yield the things that harm us. We are
• 9:25
  experience right, our strength or hope, however we want to
• 9:29
  say it. The intuition does not lie right. Forgive me
• 9:35
  for the sirens going by. Forgive me, I pray for
• 9:40
  whoever's in that ambulance or they're going, whatever the case
• 9:44
  may be. The person who has been born into God's
• 9:49
  family does not make a practice of sinning because now
• 9:55
  God's life is in him, so he can't keep on sinning.

  So this new life has been born into him and
• 10:03
  controls him. He has been born again. Now, when you
• 10:08
  truly accept Lord Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior,
• 10:11
  you need to realize that you're still going to go
• 10:13
  back to certain things, and sometimes quickly, sometimes slowly, with people.
• 10:17
  Everybody's story is different. Sometimes people are saved and they
• 10:20
  completely change and they stay consistent. You know, with a
• 10:24
  lot of believers. That's not the case. And as it
• 10:28
  strikes eight o'clock on the eastern side, I got four minutes,
• 10:33
  and that was First John, Chapter three, verse nine. I
• 10:36
  want to make this clear that I have been a
• 10:39
  believer of Jesus Christ since I was sixteen years old.
• 10:44
  Seventeen years old. I didn't start following Christ until I
• 10:50
  was about thirty five. I just turned thirty seven today.
• 10:55
  And truthfully, even during that process of following Christ, my
• 11:00
  old nature still lingered around and it was hard, you know.
• 11:04
  And I'm here as a witness that also that I've stumbled,
• 11:08
  I've fallen, and it felt horrible, you know, committing these
• 11:12
  sins and doing these certain things. And I don't need
• 11:16
  to get into the list of those things. But now
• 11:19
  being able to follow not only what is right by
• 11:24
  following Christ, it's realizing that the old nature is gone.
• 11:29
  It does not necessarily mean that it is dead, but
• 11:31
  it is gone. It can come back if we allow
• 11:34
  it to. If I allow it to, I can bring
• 11:37
  it back like thorn with the iron hammer. And that's
• 11:44
  what we need to realize what the enemy wants us
• 11:47
  to do. The enemy is not necessarily within you. Sometimes
• 11:50
  the enemy gets in other people that are around you
• 11:53
  to try to steer you up, to get you back
• 11:55
  into sin. And that's why it's very important to reevaluate
• 11:59
  your friendships. Evaluate the people that are in your circle.
• 12:02
  Are they really meant to be with you as you
• 12:07
  ascend into your purpose for God's plan. Because God's plan
• 12:12
  it's going to require you to leave people behind, and
• 12:16
  you have to be okay with that. People, places, and
• 12:19
  things are going to have to go. There are certain
• 12:21
  things that you have to detach from in order if
• 12:24
  you want to attach to your divine purpose. And I
• 12:29
  got two and a half minutes left on this What
• 12:34
  area of your life has have you been able to
• 12:37
  turn over and surrender to Jesus Christ? What's been easy?
• 12:44
  Right now? These are two questions that I want you
• 12:46
  to ask yourself, whether it's during this podcast or later on,
• 12:50
  what area are you still holding on to? And I'm
• 12:53
  going to repeat these questions and I'm going to close
• 12:58
  out this is a folk. What area of your life
• 13:03
  have you been able to turn over and surrender to
• 13:07
  Jesus Christ? If it's none that's okay. Don't feel ashamed.
• 13:11
  What area are you still holding onto? If you're still
• 13:16
  holding onto things, do not be ashamed. I'm not here
• 13:19
  to condemn you. This show is here to teach you.

  things down in a realistic way, not always necessarily a

  biblical way. It is biblical. But I am not a

  religious person. I am a spiritual person. I am not
