Transcript
- 0:12Welcome to the intercessor's corner where life's questions
- 0:15and topics are met with biblical truth and
- 0:18spirit led wisdom.
- 0:19Here's this week's work to fuel and fortify
- 0:22your prayer walk.
- 0:25Hello, and welcome to divine five one five.
- 0:30Last week, we started a new series on
- 0:32building stronger relationships,
- 0:35one prayer at a time, and we kicked
- 0:37off the series talking about how to build
- 0:40a stronger relationship with God through prayer.
- 0:43This week, we're gonna be tackling how to
- 0:45rebuild broken relationships
- 0:47with biblical wisdom.
- 0:51Some relationships don't shatter.
- 0:53They slowly fracture under pride and silence.
- 0:58Scripture reference today comes from Colossians three
- 1:02thirteen.
- 1:03Bear with each other and forgive one another.
- 1:06Forgive as the Lord forgave you.
- 1:11Unforgiveness
- 1:12is heavy.
- 1:14It doesn't stay contained. It spreads.
- 1:18It affects how we speak, how we trust,
- 1:21and
- 1:22how we see others.
- 1:24Left undressed,
- 1:26it quietly hardens the heart and builds walls
- 1:28around places God is trying to heal.
- 1:31One of the greatest challenges with unforgiveness
- 1:34is that it feels
- 1:35justified.
- 1:37We replay the offense.
- 1:39We relive the disappointment,
- 1:41and sometimes
- 1:43holding on to the hurt feels safer than
- 1:45letting it go.
- 1:47But
- 1:49what we don't realize
- 1:50is that unforgiveness
- 1:52keeps the wound
- 1:53open.
- 1:54It actually blocks healing because pride resists
- 1:58surrender.
- 1:59It can even hinder our prayers because
- 2:02a guarded heart struggles
- 2:04to fully rest before God.
- 2:07But prayer is the turning point.
- 2:10When we begin to pray for those who
- 2:12hurt us,
- 2:13something shifts inside of us
- 2:15before it ever shifts around us.
- 2:19Prayer interrupts the replay cycle.
- 2:22It softens pride.
- 2:24It reminds us
- 2:26how much we've been forgiven.
- 2:29Forgiveness doesn't excuse the offense or erase accountability.
- 2:34It frees the soul.
- 2:37It releases the weight so that healing can
- 2:39begin.
- 2:42Strong relationships
- 2:43are built on grace,
- 2:45and grace
- 2:46flows from prayer.
- 2:49Let's pray.
- 2:51Father,
- 2:53you see the places in my heart that
- 2:54still hurt.
- 2:56I confess that I've held on to pain
- 2:58because
- 2:59it felt justified,
- 3:01but I don't want bitterness to live in
- 3:03me.
- 3:04So I give it to you.
- 3:06I surrender the offense to you today.
- 3:10Soften my heart where it has grown hard.
- 3:13Teach me to forgive as you have forgiven
- 3:15me.
- 3:16Heal the wound beneath the hurt and replace
- 3:19resentment with peace.
- 3:21I release all of these hurts and offenses
- 3:25into your hands,
- 3:26and I trust you to restore what I
- 3:28cannot.
- 3:29In Jesus' name, amen.
