- 0:07[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome in to do wall daily presented by Jin Jack.com.
- 0:09[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Deluga.
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks so much for being here Friday, August.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: First, and yes, we have the Jaguars mock game they are calling it this evening at the bank.
- 0:19[SPEAKER_00]: Very excited to be out there.
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: Gonna get down on the field, take some pictures, then head up to the press box.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: I believe is how things will go there for media, but there's gonna be a bunch of fans in attendance.
- 0:29[SPEAKER_00]: It should be a really fun Friday night at the bank, right?
- 0:33[SPEAKER_00]: So
- 0:35[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to preview this thing, talk about what to expect.
- 0:38[SPEAKER_00]: The mock game is supposed to start right around right at seven o'clock.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: It's going to be about an hour.
- 0:44[SPEAKER_00]: Liam Cohen is going to speak with the media following the mock game as they're calling it and you will have some individual warm-ups and positional drills periods prior to the mock game.
- 0:57[SPEAKER_00]: not sure exactly the timeline for when those will start, but I believe parking lots will open at four PM, think a lot J is where fans are going to be parked.
- 1:08[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
- 1:10[SPEAKER_00]: Well, there will be lots open all over the place.
- 1:12[SPEAKER_00]: Lots BC, D, E, J, S, X, and you can go to tailgators as well.
- 1:17[SPEAKER_00]: The gates open at five PM.
- 1:19[SPEAKER_00]: You're going to want to go in gate one and gate four.
- 1:23[SPEAKER_00]: There will be the two gates that are open.
- 1:25[SPEAKER_00]: Again, the seven PM start time for the mock game.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: There is also the clear bag policy and effect that if you go to games obviously you know about the clear bag policy, but you can check all that stuff out at the Jaguar's website for more information, but should be a lot of fun.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: Talking about what we want to see out on the field, I expect to see Travis Hunter on both sides.
- 1:49[SPEAKER_00]: Look, the first practice of training camp, Liam Cohen, talked after practice, and said within the first six practices, expect to see Travis Hunter play on both sides of the ball.
- 2:00[SPEAKER_00]: We have not seen that yet in a specific training camp practice, right?
- 2:05[SPEAKER_00]: You saw it at the end of mini camp.
- 2:07[SPEAKER_00]: And ever since then, when it's come to team drills, every single day he's either been on the offensive side or the defensive side.
- 2:16[SPEAKER_00]: Now during special team spirits, if he's having an offensive day, he will go work with defensive coaches.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: If he's having a defensive day, he will go work with offensive receivers, coaches, et cetera.
- 2:28[SPEAKER_00]: So he's getting in the work mentally, physically every single day offense and defense, but he has not had a practice where in the team portion of things, he is participating on both sides since the start of training camp.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: I would expect to see that this evening.
- 2:44[SPEAKER_00]: The jag wars are, again, lamb going said that that would happen before this evening.
- 2:50[SPEAKER_00]: This will be technically the eighth practice.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to be considering this the eighth practice for all intents and purposes and for organizational purposes moving forward.
- 3:00[SPEAKER_00]: This is the eighth practice for me.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_00]: I expect to see Travis Hunter on both sides.
- 3:08[SPEAKER_00]: And that should be really exciting.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: How does he perform on both sides in a practice?
- 3:13[SPEAKER_00]: Everybody's wondering, can Travis Hunter have a situation in a game this year, where he picks off a pass, and then is out there on offense, the very next play, and catches a pass, and he catches a touchdown, like something like that, right?
- 3:32[SPEAKER_00]: That is the type of game-changing impact Travis Hunter could have for the Jack Wars if everything goes the way they're planning on it going, right?
- 3:40[SPEAKER_00]: So Travis Hunter,
- 3:42[SPEAKER_00]: Playing both sides, I expect to see it this evening, which should be fireworks.
- 3:47[SPEAKER_00]: First time, at every bank stadium for Travis Hunter playing both sides is my expectation this evening.
- 3:54[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see this evening obviously, no eye words, but I want to see a clean operation on both sides.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: What does that mean?
- 4:01[SPEAKER_00]: No dumb penalties, like no false starts, no off sides.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: None of that.
- 4:06[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see very few mental mistakes as well.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: Like I want when the offense wins a
- 4:13[SPEAKER_00]: wins a possession or wins a play.
- 4:16[SPEAKER_00]: I want it to be because the physical ability, right?
- 4:19[SPEAKER_00]: Not because of a mental mistake.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: If defense picks off a pass, I want it to be a one-on-one situation where the defender just makes a great play.
- 4:28[SPEAKER_00]: I don't want these big mental mistakes that sometimes you see in a situation like this.
- 4:33[SPEAKER_00]: Now, are the results of this mock game
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: consequential in any way shape or form, not really.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: It's another practice.
- 4:42[SPEAKER_00]: In my opinion, it's a little bit of a heightened environment, but it's less heightened in my opinion than playing against another team.
- 4:49[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not as important as the pre-season games.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: It's not as important as the joint practices that they're going to have with the dolphins.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: Those are going to be more critical points in terms of just like the importance of that individual outing.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_00]: But it is a heightened environment compared to practice.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: Can be a lot of fans going to be in this stadium.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_00]: So yeah, I would like to see just the mental side of things on point.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: And also the physical side of things from a footwork perspective for Trevor Lawrence.
- 5:23[SPEAKER_00]: He's been working so hard and not even just at footwork, but he's been working on his footwork from the shotgun.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: stance like he's gone from right foot to left foot.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: He has been working footwork throughout reps to where every single step is intentional and he is getting himself in the perfect position to release the football in rhythm with the progression on a given play.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_00]: He's also been working his eyes to manipulate defenders more.
- 5:55[SPEAKER_00]: And so I kind of want to see all that come together for the fans here Friday night.
- 6:00[SPEAKER_00]: I think that should be a lot of fun and Trevor Loans have been playing really well this past week or so in training camp in my opinion.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: He has been clean with the football.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: He's been throwing touchdown passes.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: He's been accurate intermediate deep short.
- 6:15[SPEAKER_00]: really had a strong week of practice in my opinion.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: So I want to continue to see that.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see BTJ have a little bit of a big big outing right in front of all the fans again.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_00]: Not a game, not a regular season game, but for lack of a better word again, heightened environment.
- 6:45[SPEAKER_00]: I would say under the lights, but summertime, seven o'clock, it's still probably going to be bright outside in Jacksonville, Florida, but you know, I want to see Brian Thomas Jr.
- 6:56[SPEAKER_00]: have a nice outing.
- 6:59[SPEAKER_00]: He's been a little up and down.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_00]: And again, does that matter?
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: No.
- 7:03[SPEAKER_00]: This guy has a rookie, top one hundred player.
- 7:07[SPEAKER_00]: He's going to be fantastic for the GIors this year.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: And at this time last year, there were still people questioning Brian Thomas Jr.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: I was saying, well, and look, I'm going to report what happens.
- 7:18[SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to tell you all what happens.
- 7:20[SPEAKER_00]: Brian Thomas Jr has been a little bit up and down so far.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: Early on last year,
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: Didn't quite know what to make of his performances.
- 7:28[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: They weren't stellar.
- 7:30[SPEAKER_00]: There was flashes.
- 7:34[SPEAKER_00]: But Brian Thomas Jr.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: When it counts on Game Day is going to be a big, big, big time playmaker for the Jacksonville Jaguars and one of the best young receivers in football.
- 7:46[SPEAKER_00]: One of the best receivers in football period.
- 7:49[SPEAKER_00]: I think Brian Thomas Jr.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_00]: is going to be for the Jaguars this year.
- 7:51[SPEAKER_00]: So when I say I want to see him perform tonight, it's not like I'm going to be down on him if he doesn't.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: It would just be nice to see, right?
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: It would be fun.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see who is in the starting line up at safety.
- 8:04[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of fans are gonna be out there.
- 8:05[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars have rotated a lot at safety.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: Eric Murray is a starter for them at safety.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: Who else is the other starter for them?
- 8:12[SPEAKER_00]: Caleb Ransal dealing with an injury is weak to weak unfortunately, the rookie.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: So I think it's going to be between Darnell Savage and Andrew Wingard, weak one.
- 8:23[SPEAKER_00]: Who's it gonna be?
- 8:25[SPEAKER_00]: Andrew Wingard, I think, provides a little bit more headiness, a little bit more just enthusiasm and energy.
- 8:35[SPEAKER_00]: Arnold Savage is a much better athlete.
- 8:38[SPEAKER_00]: They're both veterans.
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: They both have experience.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: Who is going to win that job?
- 8:43[SPEAKER_00]: And I think it's possible that it's not even one or the other that wins the job.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: It could be rotational next to Eric Murray based on matchups based on given situations because in my mind, Andrew Winger, it has been better coming downhill.
- 9:03[SPEAKER_00]: playing a little bit closer to the box.
- 9:05[SPEAKER_00]: He's been better in that situation throughout his career.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: Whereas Darnell Savage, he can run.
- 9:14[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he can cover ground, really cover ground.
- 9:17[SPEAKER_00]: And if he understands his assignment and is able to execute and read what's happening and be instinctive, he can make plays on the ball, deep down the field, a little bit more than Andrew Winger.
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe it's a situational basis thing.
- 9:31[SPEAKER_00]: I will be interested to see who is out there tonight in the starting lineup.
- 9:35[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe you'll see both guys.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: I'll also just be interested to see like, is it going to be one versus one?
- 9:39[SPEAKER_00]: Is it going to be one versus two's?
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: How is this mock game?
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: Black and Teal Game, Teal and White, Teal and Gold, whatever it ends up being.
- 9:49[SPEAKER_00]: How's it going to play out?
- 9:50[SPEAKER_00]: In that regard as well.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: I really want to see Jakwin and Jackson get after it.
- 9:54[SPEAKER_00]: I absolutely love what he has been doing in practice so far this week.
- 9:58[SPEAKER_00]: Bacial Tutan is back and sorry.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: I forgot to turn on my light here.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: Got a little dark outside for that to turn on the light.
- 10:07[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see you coin in Jackson, get after it.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: This guy is such a strong runner, physical, two hundred thirty pounds, undrafted, free agent was very productive in college.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's shown the ability to pass, protect, to catch fasts out of the back field to run strong.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see him out there in front of the fans.
- 10:21[SPEAKER_00]: I also am really excited to see, well, maybe more nervous than anything.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_00]: I think Walker little Indian's on Harrison could do a good job.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_00]: Week to week.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_00]: I do not think they match up well with the Jaguar's Adventures.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_00]: Josh Hines Allen, Travel and Walker.
- 10:36[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see how those matchups go.
- 10:38[SPEAKER_00]: I'm really excited to see that.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_00]: But that's the preview here for this mock game.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: Should be about an hour.
- 10:44[SPEAKER_00]: Again, there will be individual positional drills prior to, and gates open at five o'clock, parking opens at four o'clock.
- 10:53[SPEAKER_00]: If you all see me out there, say what up.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: Looking forward to it.
- 10:56[SPEAKER_00]: And if you enjoy the content here, please like and subscribe.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all have a good one.
