- 1:46Speaker 1: even more beautiful. Yeah, if you can't believe that, bedress.
- 1:51Speaker 2: So thank you in the end, thank you.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Okay, So did you have any takeaways before we get
- 1:57Speaker 1: into this particular recap? Did you have any thoughts some
- 2:00Speaker 1: feelings about this episode.
- 2:03Speaker 2: I have been sus about Zach from day one, and
- 2:07Speaker 2: I'm starting to feel a little bit more justified in
- 2:09Speaker 2: that because after this episode, I'm like, hmmm, I don't
- 2:12Speaker 2: know if I like you, my dude in your blue
- 2:14Speaker 2: suit that matches your blue eyes.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Yeah. My takeaway was that it felt to me like
- 2:21Speaker 1: something had happened. Like, yes, when we first met Zach,
- 2:26Speaker 1: the guys gave him a hard time. They were homophobic
- 2:28Speaker 1: and inappropriate, but it almost feels like people are offended
- 2:33Speaker 1: by something that Zach has done, like beyond just being
- 2:36Speaker 1: messy around the house or not helping with dishes. Like
- 2:39Speaker 1: they're really activated, and they seem really interested in talking
- 2:44Speaker 1: to Lydia about all the red flags that they see.
- 2:47Speaker 1: So I'm just like, huh, I wonder if something happened.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Yeah, did you get that thought? I feel like something happened,
- 2:52Speaker 2: and I feel like we're not seeing something. And I'm
- 2:54Speaker 2: even seeing people on the Reddit starting to turn against Zach.
- 2:58Speaker 2: You know, for a long time, they were like, there's
- 2:59Speaker 2: no thing wrong with him, He's great. Everybody sucks and
- 3:03Speaker 2: Zach's so nice and lovely, But now they're starting to
- 3:06Speaker 2: think maybe not. And I'm starting to think that too,
- 3:09Speaker 2: because when you have multiple people, like I know it's
- 3:11Speaker 2: the plaths and stuff, but like you have a lot
- 3:13Speaker 2: of people saying the same kinds of things about Zach,
- 3:17Speaker 2: I feel like there's a reason for it.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Yeah, And I think we've seen some glimpses in previous
- 3:22Speaker 1: episodes where he's a bit controlling.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Yeah, he doesn't.
- 3:26Speaker 1: Like when she's talking too much, and they're just kind
- 3:29Speaker 1: of a general vibe that it might be a problematic situation.
- 3:33Speaker 1: And so I think that's why people are worried for Lydia,
- 3:36Speaker 1: and I'm worried too.
- 3:37Speaker 2: Me too.
- 3:38Speaker 1: Okay, So without further ado, let's get into our recap
- 3:41Speaker 1: of Welcome to plath Phill Season seven, episode nine, Episode eight,
- 3:46Speaker 1: episode eight entitled The Day Before I Do. Okay, So
- 3:51Speaker 1: before we get into it, let's just do this schedule
- 3:54Speaker 1: in our brain because I'm gonna be here next week.
- 3:56Speaker 1: So I'm gonna be here for the wedding and then
- 3:59Speaker 1: I'm gonna be god on the week after that. Bitch, Like, so,
- 4:03Speaker 1: do we think we're gonna have the season finale the
- 4:07Speaker 1: week after? Like, when I'm like it, I'm gonna miss
- 4:10Speaker 1: the season. I'm gonna be so bummed if I miss
- 4:13Speaker 1: the season. Oh no, no, but don't worry. Absolutely when
- 4:18Speaker 1: I get back, we're gonna cover it. But like, I
- 4:20Speaker 1: just want to be here for them because it feels
- 4:22Speaker 1: like it's going to be a momentous event, not just
- 4:26Speaker 1: the wedding but all the acrimony and in fighting it.
- 4:29Speaker 1: I want to be here.
- 4:29Speaker 2: I know me too.
- 4:30Speaker 1: Okay, start us.
- 4:31Speaker 2: Off, well, we start off four days before the wedding
- 4:35Speaker 2: because everybody's getting everything prepared. Zach had just moved into
- 4:39Speaker 2: the Plath family home. He's staying up in Isaac's room.
- 4:43Speaker 2: Lydia is super excited about the whole wedding. Zach is
- 4:46Speaker 2: super excited about his blue suit because his eyes pop
- 4:49Speaker 2: in his blue suit, like that's so important to him.
- 4:52Speaker 2: I guess we have Mariah showing up and she wasn't
- 4:56Speaker 2: a part of like any of the wedding prep or
- 4:58Speaker 2: anything like that. She's doing good in Montana. She said
- 5:03Speaker 2: the road trip to Montana felt really freeing and cathartic,
- 5:08Speaker 2: and she felt like she was leaving a lot of
- 5:09Speaker 2: things behind. So she does seem a little bit lighter.
- 5:12Speaker 2: So hopefully Montana's continuing to treat her well and we're
- 5:16Speaker 2: preparing for the wedding. Lydia is a little stressed out,
- 5:18Speaker 2: but she's trying to remain positive. They don't have a
- 5:21Speaker 2: seating chart, they don't have a playlist, they don't have
- 5:24Speaker 2: like anything, and I just I'm stressed out.
- 5:28Speaker 1: I'm stressed out too. But like you said last week,
- 5:31Speaker 1: you could have waited, You could have built in some time,
- 5:34Speaker 1: some weeks, some months to actually plan this thing through
- 5:38Speaker 1: instead of stressing yourself out. But like there's just a
- 5:40Speaker 1: part of it that I think she also kind of enjoys,
- 5:44Speaker 1: and we have Kim saying later in the episode like
- 5:46Speaker 1: that Lydia has always wanted to be married, like she's
- 5:50Speaker 1: always looked forward to her wedding even since she was
- 5:53Speaker 1: a child. So I think she's excited. But yes, she
- 5:56Speaker 1: is also stressed, and I don't think it helps that
- 5:59Speaker 1: her brother are just angry monsters for whatever reason I know.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Well, but speaking of the brothers, we do have Ethan
- 6:07Speaker 2: saying to the camera that he has apologized to Lydia
- 6:11Speaker 2: for his treatment of Zach, which I was like, Okay,
- 6:14Speaker 2: that's cool and everything, and then we start talking some
- 6:17Speaker 2: shit about Veronica a little bit. Ethan mixes up his
- 6:21Speaker 2: girls and talks about how Veronica was accusing Olivia no,
- 6:26Speaker 2: I mean Teagan of having an only fans, and Ethan
- 6:31Speaker 2: says that Veronica's just trying to start some shit. I
- 6:33Speaker 2: guess Teagan has a good attitude about it. She says,
- 6:36Speaker 2: if she did have an only fan, she would be
- 6:37Speaker 2: super successful. Yes, and I love that. I liked how
- 6:40Speaker 2: Ethan didn't even buy bad an eye at that for
- 6:43Speaker 2: such a conservative Christian guy, He's just like laughing at it.
- 6:47Speaker 1: I think Ethan has changed a lot, he is clearly
- 6:50Speaker 1: engaging in premarital sex. I for sure think that he
- 6:54Speaker 1: is divorced yet from Olivia, so it's actually adulterist sex,
- 6:58Speaker 1: I mean, technically little bit. So I think he's dismantled
- 7:01Speaker 1: some of his own belief system and or he's like
- 7:03Speaker 1: a typical Christian who just cherry picks Bible scriptures based
- 7:07Speaker 1: on what he wants to do in his life. Probably that,
- 7:10Speaker 1: But he doesn't seem too upset. Well, actually I don't.
- 7:14Speaker 1: I don't know, what do you think? Like I didn't
- 7:15Speaker 1: think in the beginning, certainly last episode, and in this episode,
- 7:19Speaker 1: it didn't seem like he was super pissed off at
- 7:21Speaker 1: Veronica until he heard that Veronica was actually gonna come
- 7:25Speaker 1: to the wedding, and then he started getting riled up.
- 7:28Speaker 2: Yeah, that was my vibe too. It was just kind
- 7:30Speaker 2: of like, he's not gonna put it, put any attention
- 7:34Speaker 2: to it unless she comes to the wedding and then
- 7:36Speaker 2: starts causing him buck and I think he says something
- 7:38Speaker 2: like if Veronica comes to the wedding, it's just going
- 7:41Speaker 2: to be nothing but havoc. Because Micah ends up calling
- 7:45Speaker 2: Lydia at some point like facetimes her and he's like, yeah,
- 7:49Speaker 2: So remember like last week when Veronica sent you that
- 7:52Speaker 2: long text messages text message saying that she wasn't gonna
- 7:56Speaker 2: come to your wedding at all because she's worried about
- 7:58Speaker 2: her mental well being and she doesn't want to be
- 8:00Speaker 2: around all attention and all of the toxicity. Well, now,
- 8:04Speaker 2: actually Veronica might come to the wedding, and it's four
- 8:07Speaker 2: days before, which is absolutely ridiculous. And so I think
- 8:11Speaker 2: that causes a lot of tension, probably around the whole family,
- 8:15Speaker 2: not just with Ethan.
- 8:16Speaker 1: Right, And here we are, yes, And so Veronica does
- 8:20Speaker 1: make the decision at the last minute to join Micah,
- 8:24Speaker 1: and it's all because she is insecure about Micah being
- 8:28Speaker 1: around Teagante and his girlfriend, all based on this hallucination
- 8:35Speaker 1: that she's having that Micah was looking up naked pictures
- 8:39Speaker 1: that don't exist. Yeah, naked pictures that don't exist of
- 8:41Speaker 1: Teagan based on a lie that Veronica perpetuated about Teagan
- 8:47Speaker 1: having an only fan. So let's break down the delusion here. First,
- 8:51Speaker 1: she makes it a lie. Maybe she saw an article.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I don't know, but I'm sure if she saw an article,
- 8:54Speaker 1: she tried to vet it and find it herself. She
- 8:56Speaker 1: couldn't do it, but she perpetuates a lie about Teagan,
- 9:00Speaker 1: saying that she's gotten only fans. She shares it with Micah.
- 9:03Speaker 1: Michael calls his brother, and Ethan's like, well, can you
- 9:06Speaker 1: look into it and let me know if it's true,
- 9:08Speaker 1: because like, I don't think so. So Micah picks up
- 9:10Speaker 1: his phone to try and see if he can find
- 9:12Speaker 1: some information about Taken having an OnlyFans, and then Veronica
- 9:17Speaker 1: takes him picking up his phone to look it up
- 9:19Speaker 1: as him wanting to see naked pictures of Taken and
- 9:22Speaker 1: wanting to cheat on her, And so then she's gonna
- 9:25Speaker 1: now use him looking up pictures which he wasn't even
- 9:28Speaker 1: looking up in the first place because they don't exist because.
- 9:30Speaker 2: You lied about it exactly.
- 9:32Speaker 1: So you're gonna use that in order to bust your
- 9:34Speaker 1: way into this wedding and cause drama like you are,
- 9:37Speaker 1: in my opinion, you are sick in the head. Veronica
- 9:41Speaker 1: certify him, You're sick in the head.
- 9:42Speaker 2: It's so crazy, And then like so emotionally manipulative and
- 9:46Speaker 2: so like unpolite to be like, yeah, I'm not gonna
- 9:50Speaker 2: go to your wedding, And then just just kidding. I'm
- 9:52Speaker 2: actually gonna go, but I'm like kind of on the
- 9:54Speaker 2: fence about it, Like I still don't know if I'm
- 9:56Speaker 2: gonna go, but like i'm thinking that i might, so
- 9:58Speaker 2: like just prepare that I'm gonna beat.
- 10:00Speaker 1: It's like, oh, it's not all about you, but.
- 10:03Speaker 2: She wants it to be. Yes, she does, and that's
- 10:05Speaker 2: the toxic part.
- 10:06Speaker 1: And to me, it's like, if you don't like this family,
- 10:08Speaker 1: and we could all sit here and talk for quite
- 10:10Speaker 1: some time about why you might not the family, like
- 10:14Speaker 1: just be like, Okay, well I'm not gonna hang out
- 10:15Speaker 1: with them. Then yeah, it's I don't align with them,
- 10:18Speaker 1: vibe with them. So I'm just gonna stay back here
- 10:20Speaker 1: and book a raton and enjoy my dogs and whatever.
- 10:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna chill. Yeah, but no, you're heading up there
- 10:25Speaker 1: because you want to sow descend, you want to cause problems,
- 10:28Speaker 1: and that means you ain't shit exact rodica ate shit.
- 10:33Speaker 2: And then it's one day before the wedding and this
- 10:35Speaker 2: is like where we're preparing for the wedding rehearsal. We
- 10:38Speaker 2: have Kim who is staying at the farmhouse or whatever
- 10:42Speaker 2: with Ethan, Teagan and Isaac, and we hear a lot
- 10:46Speaker 2: from Kim here where she's feeling a mix of emotion.
- 10:49Speaker 2: She's like excited a little bit for Lydia, but she's
- 10:52Speaker 2: also overwhelmed by everything that has to be done. And
- 10:54Speaker 2: she's also concerned and a bit hesitant, not only by
- 10:58Speaker 2: how quickly everything is moving, but because she senses what
- 11:02Speaker 2: she says are a lot of red flags from Zach,
- 11:05Speaker 2: and she does like elaborate on those red flags. So
- 11:08Speaker 2: one of them was she sees a lack of initiative.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Apparently he doesn't help out with any of the chores
- 11:13Speaker 2: or any of the cleaning or anything. He just sits
- 11:15Speaker 2: on his ass. He also is usurping is that the
- 11:19Speaker 2: right word? Usurping Lydia's desires? And she gives an example
- 11:24Speaker 2: about the wedding planning, because apparently Lydia wanted hunter green
- 11:29Speaker 2: or forest green or whatever for her wedding colors, and
- 11:33Speaker 2: Zach shot that down and said, no, I want blue
- 11:36Speaker 2: because I really look good in blue. And I didn't
- 11:39Speaker 2: like that. I felt like there was some truth there. Sure,
- 11:41Speaker 2: I know it's coming from Kim Plath. I know she's
- 11:44Speaker 2: a big old drunk and everything, but I believe her,
- 11:46Speaker 2: but I believe her.
- 11:47Speaker 1: And then when we cut over to Lydia and Zach
- 11:50Speaker 1: and they're talking heads and they're talking about the colors
- 11:52Speaker 1: for their wedding. You've got Lydia kind of saying, yeah,
- 11:54Speaker 1: like we really like blue, Like that's her favorite color,
- 11:58Speaker 1: isn't it. I'm just like, Okay, Well, which you're not
- 12:00Speaker 1: saying though, is that he apparently steamrolled you and didn't
- 12:04Speaker 1: allow you to have the color that you want to.
- 12:06Speaker 1: Let's be honest, it is a wedding for the both
- 12:08Speaker 1: of them. They should both have opinions about that. But like,
- 12:11Speaker 1: it does just feel a little strange that he would
- 12:15Speaker 1: not allow her to pick her hunter green.
- 12:17Speaker 2: I don't like that at all. And like if weddings
- 12:20Speaker 2: were so important to Lydia, which I think that's why
- 12:23Speaker 2: Kim was saying that, because Lydia has always wanted to
- 12:25Speaker 2: get married and she was super excited about having a
- 12:28Speaker 2: beautiful wedding. Like I feel like if I was her partner,
- 12:31Speaker 2: I'd be like, you know what, let's do some hunter green.
- 12:34Speaker 2: I'll wear of a nice dusty blue. It'll still go
- 12:37Speaker 2: together with the colors, Like you can make it work.
- 12:40Speaker 2: But no, it's Zack's way or the highway, and I
- 12:43Speaker 2: don't like that. And this is coming from another person.
- 12:45Speaker 2: I think it was last week we heard from someone
- 12:47Speaker 2: else in the family that he doesn't Zach doesn't put
- 12:50Speaker 2: Lydia first, and he does whatever he wants, and so
- 12:54Speaker 2: this is becoming a pattern. I don't like it. Sweet
- 12:58Speaker 2: Lydia is also of the mind of, like, I want
- 13:01Speaker 2: to respect my future husband. This is a total traditional
- 13:04Speaker 2: Christian value as well of just like serving your husband
- 13:07Speaker 2: and being a good godly wife. And so I think
- 13:10Speaker 2: that she's coming from that perspective, like she's also burying
- 13:14Speaker 2: all of her wants and feelings down because she thinks
- 13:17Speaker 2: that that's a godly thing to do. That's my no.
- 13:19Speaker 1: And I think Ethan actually speaks to that at some point,
- 13:22Speaker 1: And I'm sorry that I'm skipping ahead, but I think
- 13:24Speaker 1: he's talking to Kim and he's like, well, if it's
- 13:26Speaker 1: a godly thing to do all the things that your
- 13:28Speaker 1: husband wants you to do, if like some of you
- 13:31Speaker 1: is doing that for your faith, well what about listening
- 13:34Speaker 1: to your elders, What about listening to your mother and
- 13:37Speaker 1: to your siblings when they've got some feedback for you
- 13:40Speaker 1: as it concerns this marriage that you're entering into, Like,
- 13:43Speaker 1: so you're kind of being selective about what you want
- 13:45Speaker 1: to adhere to. And I thought for Ethan that was
- 13:48Speaker 1: a valid point.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Yeah, it definitely is a valid point. And then Kim
- 13:51Speaker 2: speaks to more of her hesitations with Zach, saying that
- 13:55Speaker 2: you know, if she knew him and she got to
- 13:57Speaker 2: love him, she would be excited about this wedding. But
- 14:00Speaker 2: she doesn't really know the guy. No one really knows
- 14:03Speaker 2: the guy. Honestly, nobody got any significant amount of time
- 14:07Speaker 2: to spend with him. So everyone's a little bit tense
- 14:10Speaker 2: in this family. They don't know him, and we've been
- 14:13Speaker 2: critical about that in prior episodes. I am on the
- 14:17Speaker 2: side of the Plaths in this regard, and like, you know,
- 14:20Speaker 2: respect is one of those things that is earned a
- 14:22Speaker 2: little bit. Like if I would want to get to
- 14:24Speaker 2: know somebody before they're getting married.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Yes, but that shouldn't lead you to be disrespectful, which
- 14:29Speaker 1: is what Ethan and Micah exact maybe even Isaac have
- 14:33Speaker 1: done as it concerns how they've treated Zach. Like you
- 14:37Speaker 1: can have your reservations and you can tactfully talk about
- 14:39Speaker 1: them or try to address them as a family. But
- 14:41Speaker 1: the moment that you tip over into homophobia for sure,
- 14:44Speaker 1: and I know you know this, but like that's where
- 14:46Speaker 1: you start to lose your audience, exactly.
- 14:49Speaker 2: And then Kim also says that she thinks the reason
- 14:51Speaker 2: why they want to get married so fast is just
- 14:53Speaker 2: because they want to go to Germany. And Kim's like, well,
- 14:56Speaker 2: but you can go to Germany even if you're not married.
- 14:59Speaker 2: It's not like you have to have a marriage license
- 15:01Speaker 2: to go there. And Kim says, and Ethan also echoes this,
- 15:05Speaker 2: they're just going to Germany. They're getting married really quickly
- 15:07Speaker 2: because they just want to fuck. Yeah, which I'm just.
- 15:09Speaker 1: Like, ew we what do you mean, obvious?
- 15:12Speaker 2: But that's exactly what it is.
- 15:13Speaker 1: They're young and they're in love and they want to
- 15:16Speaker 1: bump ugly and this is so they think they have
- 15:18Speaker 1: to be married first in order to do that. And Kim,
- 15:20Speaker 1: that's on you, bit, and Barry, that's on you. But
- 15:23Speaker 1: like Barry has no problem whatsoever to just marry his
- 15:26Speaker 1: daughter off after two weeks to some unknown rando with
- 15:29Speaker 1: a weird smile who doesn't have a job or anything.
- 15:31Speaker 2: No, doesn't have any ambitions apparently either, and.
- 15:34Speaker 1: He wants to be a tennis teacher, tennis coach, own
- 15:36Speaker 1: a coffee shop, right, I want to have a coffee shop.
- 15:38Speaker 1: I want to be a chess player like Tony on
- 15:41Speaker 1: Sister Wives. Seriously, how are you going to take care
- 15:44Speaker 1: of my daughter with that?
- 15:45Speaker 2: Exactly? And Kim even speaks to Barry in this scene
- 15:49Speaker 2: as well. This is where we've seen the preview a
- 15:51Speaker 2: couple times where Barry, according to Kim, post divorce, has
- 15:56Speaker 2: really wanted to just be the fun like easygoing dad, approving.
- 16:01Speaker 2: He doesn't want anybody to be mad at him. He
- 16:03Speaker 2: doesn't want to be mean, and so he's just going
- 16:05Speaker 2: with whatever his kids want because he wants them to
- 16:08Speaker 2: love him. And like, you know, Kim's being critical here,
- 16:11Speaker 2: I can understand Barry also having a change of heart
- 16:14Speaker 2: after the divorce and like just trying to be a
- 16:17Speaker 2: little bit softer. My dad was like that when my
- 16:19Speaker 2: mom and him split. He became like a way nicer
- 16:21Speaker 2: person because he was out of that toxic marriage. Like
- 16:25Speaker 2: I can see that, but I do think that there's
- 16:27Speaker 2: some problems with Barry just blanketly approving of somebody like
- 16:32Speaker 2: Zach when he doesn't really know him either, And then
- 16:34Speaker 2: I think Kim talks about her engagement with Barry, She's like,
- 16:38Speaker 2: you know, we had a really quick engagement. But the
- 16:40Speaker 2: difference between my engagement and Lydia's is that I knew
- 16:44Speaker 2: Barry for many years prior to getting engaged to him.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Lydia doesn't know this guy. Right.
- 16:49Speaker 1: Well, we have to call in to question Barry's judgment
- 16:54Speaker 1: in this, this marriage with Lydia when we consider the
- 16:58Speaker 1: fact that he allowed Kim to home school and raise
- 17:01Speaker 1: all of his children while he was working out of
- 17:04Speaker 1: the house, and you know, he probably saw the evidence
- 17:08Speaker 1: of that when Mariah left home at sixteen years old
- 17:11Speaker 1: to go live with their grandparents and their kids started
- 17:15Speaker 1: having all of these issues Ethan and Olivia. And I
- 17:18Speaker 1: still don't know why Hosanna doesn't want to be associated
- 17:22Speaker 1: whatsoever with the Plaths, other than maybe there are some
- 17:25Speaker 1: issues there. So Barry is just kind of a problematic
- 17:28Speaker 1: father generally speaking. I agree, And maybe he's conscious to that,
- 17:32Speaker 1: maybe he's trying to rehabilitate his image. But at the
- 17:34Speaker 1: same time, maybe he's not conscious to that because he's
- 17:36Speaker 1: just devoid of that parenting impulse. But I also do
- 17:40Speaker 1: think that Kim is feeling at a disadvantage because she
- 17:42Speaker 1: can't really whoop him upside the head because she's not
- 17:44Speaker 1: married to him anymore, and she's ad a disadvantage with
- 17:47Speaker 1: her children because of course she left the family the
- 17:50Speaker 1: home and entered into a drunken, adulterous affair with Kim Palmer,
- 17:55Speaker 1: the racist person from Facebook exactly well apparently is now
- 17:59Speaker 1: living in k.
- 18:00Speaker 2: Did you see that? Yeah, I did see that.
- 18:01Speaker 1: Yeah. So he left Crawfordsville, which is where his home
- 18:05Speaker 1: was that we saw him and Kim having dinner and
- 18:09Speaker 1: dancing in the kitchen or whatever last season. So he
- 18:11Speaker 1: left Crawfordsville because, according to him, there's too many people
- 18:14Speaker 1: there and then moved to Kiro, which I think has
- 18:16Speaker 1: ten times the population. And so the question everybody has
- 18:20Speaker 1: is will does that mean Kim and Ken are actually
- 18:24Speaker 1: still seeing each other despite what Kim told us earlier
- 18:28Speaker 1: in the season, which was that they were just friends. Yeah,
- 18:31Speaker 1: I know, only the shadow knows.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Yeah, I wish we were privy to that. Yeah, I
- 18:36Speaker 2: would love to know. And then the only other thing
- 18:38Speaker 2: that came out of this section with Kim was they
- 18:41Speaker 2: were talking about the whole OnlyFans rumor with Veronica and Teagan,
- 18:45Speaker 2: and Kim makes a comment and I know it's a joke,
- 18:47Speaker 2: but she was like, after the divorce, I considered doing
- 18:50Speaker 2: only fans just for the feat though, so that way
- 18:53Speaker 2: I could like, you know, make ends meet and stuff.
- 18:56Speaker 2: She says that in front of her kids, and I'm like, Kim,
- 18:59Speaker 2: and nobody be buying that only fans.
- 19:01Speaker 1: And Ethan even says, ain't nobody's gonna want to be
- 19:04Speaker 1: seeing that only fans, And in my mind, I just
- 19:07Speaker 1: harken back to the many scenes where we've seen her
- 19:10Speaker 1: feet in sandals, I know, just stuffed into sandals, just
- 19:15Speaker 1: these pork trotter feet, and I'm just like, nobody's gonna
- 19:19Speaker 1: pay you. I hope you're joking, because nobody, well maybe
- 19:21Speaker 1: people like that. I don't know what I mean.
- 19:23Speaker 2: There's a fetish for pretty much everything nowadays.
- 19:25Speaker 1: But that's like me having a foot account for my
- 19:29Speaker 1: jacked up old lady a dema aduled feet. Nobody wants
- 19:34Speaker 1: to see that, thank you.
- 19:35Speaker 2: I'm sure people would love it. And then we have
- 19:38Speaker 2: Veronica's bitch ass arriving on the farm and she I
- 19:43Speaker 2: think she arrives like expecting some kind of pomp and circumstance,
- 19:47Speaker 2: but like she is there, it immediately becomes tense. She
- 19:51Speaker 2: goes off to like hang out with the cows and
- 19:54Speaker 2: like not interact with anybody, kind of how like Olivia
- 19:58Speaker 2: was in some of the later seasons where she was
- 20:01Speaker 2: on her way out and she didn't want to involve
- 20:03Speaker 2: herself with the family. I get it, you know, but
- 20:06Speaker 2: you're there for a wedding rehearsal.
- 20:08Speaker 1: At least greet the bride to be at least great
- 20:12Speaker 1: the family, say hello to people, like engage in polite niceties.
- 20:18Speaker 1: But I think she's very insecure because she knows that
- 20:22Speaker 1: she has behaved very badly, and she doesn't want to
- 20:25Speaker 1: engage them because then she'd have to face her own behavior.
- 20:27Speaker 1: And like, what if they actually had a reaction to
- 20:29Speaker 1: your bad behavior and wanted to challenge you on it.
- 20:31Speaker 1: You ain't ready for the smoke.
- 20:32Speaker 2: You can't handle it.
- 20:33Speaker 1: Can't handle the smoke, can't handle it all.
- 20:35Speaker 2: She also says that the only reason why she's here
- 20:37Speaker 2: is because her therapist told her to come, but she's
- 20:39Speaker 2: also there to support Micah. I guess because it's his
- 20:43Speaker 2: sister's wedding. I don't believe it for a second. And
- 20:46Speaker 2: then she says that her and Micah made a pact
- 20:48Speaker 2: together where they wouldn't be a part from each other.
- 20:51Speaker 2: According to Veronica, she's like, I don't ever want to
- 20:53Speaker 2: be alone. Micah has to be at my side twenty
- 20:56Speaker 2: four to seven, And that quickly fall apart because Isaac
- 21:02Speaker 2: ends up calling Micah on the farm bitching like he
- 21:07Speaker 2: is heated, he is mad. He really just wants to
- 21:11Speaker 2: talk to his brother about how he's feeling and how
- 21:14Speaker 2: he's feeling about the whole energy, the whole vibe vibjeck
- 21:17Speaker 2: of this whole wedding rehearsal.
- 21:18Speaker 1: To include the situation with Veronica which Isaac is pissed
- 21:22Speaker 1: off about, which is potentially some foreshadowing to come, because
- 21:26Speaker 1: we know that Isaac and Micah get into a physical
- 21:29Speaker 1: fight after the wedding.
- 21:30Speaker 2: Exactly, and so Isaac when he calls Micah, he's heated
- 21:35Speaker 2: and he's like, I'm gonna come pick you up. So
- 21:37Speaker 2: he comes in with his truck. Micah gets to the truck,
- 21:40Speaker 2: they drive off somewhere.
- 21:41Speaker 1: Mikah, that's poor form. You told Veronica you weren't just
- 21:44Speaker 1: going to abandon her and she was gonna be left
- 21:46Speaker 1: alone at the farm, And I mean, I can see
- 21:48Speaker 1: how that might be an unreasonable request for Veronica, who
- 21:52Speaker 1: has destroyed all these relationships, But like, you agreed to it.
- 21:56Speaker 1: So if you agreed to it, like you shouldn't just
- 21:59Speaker 1: the first thing you do immediately just abandon her.
- 22:01Speaker 2: Well you should at least say, hey, I'm gonna go
- 22:03Speaker 2: talk to my brother who's having a hard time at text,
- 22:06Speaker 2: like I'll be right back anything, Like all you had
- 22:08Speaker 2: to do is just do that. Yeah, But Micah gets up,
- 22:11Speaker 2: they speed off and they go talk in the truck,
- 22:14Speaker 2: away from cameras, away from everybody else.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Can I ask you a question about that? Though? Didn't
- 22:18Speaker 1: it seem like something happened It did to make Isaac
- 22:22Speaker 1: upset because at this point, Zach has been in the
- 22:24Speaker 1: house for several weeks according to what they've told us.
- 22:28Speaker 1: And so we do learn from Isaac in the scene
- 22:31Speaker 1: about like why he's kind of annoyed with Zach. But
- 22:33Speaker 1: is that enough to get you riled up on this day,
- 22:36Speaker 1: the day before the wedding? It didn't make sense.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Well, it felt like to me, Isaac was feeling all
- 22:42Speaker 2: of the tension of everything, like he was feeling the
- 22:45Speaker 2: tension between his own feelings with Zach and Veronica, but
- 22:48Speaker 2: like everybody else because it's palpable. Like you have Ethan,
- 22:51Speaker 2: who's just a flaming ball of anger, just walking around
- 22:56Speaker 2: huffing and puffing why, I don't know he's well. Ethan
- 22:59Speaker 2: is emotionally unregulated and annoying, and he makes everybody else
- 23:02Speaker 2: feel what he's feeling. And then you have Kim, who's
- 23:06Speaker 2: also disapproving of everything. So I think Isaac's picking up
- 23:10Speaker 2: on everything and he's not liking it. He just needs
- 23:12Speaker 2: to vent. But he does bitch about Zach, bitches about
- 23:15Speaker 2: how Zach apparently does nothing around the Platt family home,
- 23:20Speaker 2: like he just comes down for dinner and then goes
- 23:23Speaker 2: back upstairs to fuck around on.
- 23:24Speaker 1: His phone or goes on the couch in the living room.
- 23:28Speaker 1: Does he's there, doesn't offer to help, doesn't clean up
- 23:31Speaker 1: his dishes, doesn't clean up his room that is Isaac's
- 23:34Speaker 1: room that he's lending to him.
- 23:36Speaker 2: According to Isaac, the room is trashed. I don't know.
- 23:39Speaker 2: We saw like a glimpse of it. I saw some
- 23:42Speaker 2: of his shit everywhere, but like it looks kind of messy.
- 23:45Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know.
- 23:46Speaker 1: But like he explains it as they're going to be
- 23:49Speaker 1: moving into an apartment together, and so his stays in
- 23:51Speaker 1: boxes and so it's a bit of a mess and
- 23:53Speaker 1: sure that's why.
- 23:54Speaker 2: Yeah, sure, I think Isaac's just bitching about everything really,
- 23:58Speaker 2: And then he brings up Veronica and he brings up
- 24:04Speaker 2: how it's reminding him of Olivia and like everything that
- 24:07Speaker 2: happened with Mariaax is like it's just a lot of tension.
- 24:10Speaker 2: He doesn't really like that Veronica's here because all she's
- 24:13Speaker 2: gonna do is just stir shit up and she's making
- 24:16Speaker 2: everybody uncomfortable. And Micah's like.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know why she came, yea, And it
- 24:21Speaker 1: seemed in that moment that Micah actually was starting to
- 24:25Speaker 1: open up about his feelings about Veronica and the problems
- 24:29Speaker 1: that they're having. But like Isaac is too fired up
- 24:32Speaker 1: and also too young to like recognize that maybe he
- 24:34Speaker 1: should just slow down and allow Micah to share because
- 24:37Speaker 1: Micah is an abused person who needs a friend. But
- 24:40Speaker 1: Isaac in that moment recognized that and he kind of
- 24:43Speaker 1: cuts off. He cuts off Micah. He's like, yeah, so
- 24:46Speaker 1: why is Veronica here? Why does she have a bad attitude?
- 24:48Speaker 1: Why is she always coming for our family.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Yeah, and Micah says something here too, like Veronica's going
- 24:54Speaker 2: to be really mad at me that I'm gone, Like
- 24:55Speaker 2: we should probably go back, and Isaac's like, who fu cares?
- 24:59Speaker 2: Who cares? He cares about what that bitch thinks, Like
- 25:02Speaker 2: you shouldn't care what she's gonna say to you, Like
- 25:05Speaker 2: it's fine, You're a grown man. You can do what
- 25:07Speaker 2: you want. And like Isaac, sorry, Micah just looks so
- 25:10Speaker 2: beat down, and.
- 25:11Speaker 1: He does it's just another person yelling at him.
- 25:13Speaker 2: And it's hard because Micah, i think, says somebody something
- 25:17Speaker 2: to the camera is like he feels caught in the
- 25:19Speaker 2: middle of everything because he's there with his girlfriend who
- 25:22Speaker 2: doesn't like his family and is creating a bunch of
- 25:25Speaker 2: unnecessary drama nobody likes her. And then he's also trying
- 25:29Speaker 2: to balance like Isaac's feelings and then later Ethan's feelings
- 25:34Speaker 2: and Kim's feelings and like everybody else who is also
- 25:37Speaker 2: creating tension for their own reasons about Zach and everything.
- 25:40Speaker 2: And Mike is like, I'm just here, man, I'm just here.
- 25:43Speaker 2: I can't handle all of this, Like I'm just one dude.
- 25:46Speaker 1: What's his zodiac again? With a cancer. He's a pisces.
- 25:49Speaker 1: All that makes sense, a little water sign. He's feeling everything,
- 25:52Speaker 1: very emotional.
- 25:53Speaker 2: I feel bad. And so then they drive back to
- 25:56Speaker 2: the farm after Isaac let off some steam and my
- 26:00Speaker 2: bees looking for Veronica. He doesn't see her standing like
- 26:03Speaker 2: a few feet away from her, and she kind of
- 26:05Speaker 2: gets annoyed by that, and then he ends up coming
- 26:07Speaker 2: up to her and she's like, why did you leave me?
- 26:10Speaker 2: When did she notice I was here? She starts to
- 26:12Speaker 2: get mad, and then she pulls herself back a little
- 26:16Speaker 2: bit because she knows the cameras are on her. She's like,
- 26:19Speaker 2: I'm trying to be good for the family. I'm trying
- 26:21Speaker 2: to be mature rather else.
- 26:23Speaker 1: Yeah, bitch, what toxic.
- 26:25Speaker 2: And then this is where we start seeing Ethan throwing
- 26:28Speaker 2: his fucking tantrum because he's not in a good mood.
- 26:31Speaker 1: Well, and it appears to be because Veronica showed up
- 26:36Speaker 1: and like only said hello to the little girls, is
- 26:39Speaker 1: not talking to the adult siblings or their significant others.
- 26:45Speaker 1: Like she's keeping to herself. She's very cold, and so
- 26:48Speaker 1: she's like, He's like, why are you even here? So
- 26:50Speaker 1: he's upset about that, but instead of talking to Micah
- 26:54Speaker 1: about it or trying to approach the situation in a
- 26:57Speaker 1: mature way. He starts unloading tables for the wedding the
- 27:01Speaker 1: next day, but he's like throwing them into the yard
- 27:04Speaker 1: like he's being a complete baby with his high waisted wrangler.
- 27:09Speaker 1: He seeks like such a dor and I'm just like,
- 27:12Speaker 1: calm down, it's not that big of a deal. This
- 27:15Speaker 1: is not your relationship. This is Micah's problem. Be a
- 27:18Speaker 1: supportive person for Micah, and like, think about Lydia, because
- 27:21Speaker 1: Zach and Lydia are dressed up. It's the rehearsal. And
- 27:24Speaker 1: even though you don't believe in this marriage, or you
- 27:26Speaker 1: don't believe this wedding, like at least show up and
- 27:29Speaker 1: be a decent person. But he's never been trained to
- 27:32Speaker 1: do that. He doesn't know how to be a person.
- 27:33Speaker 1: He doesn't know want to be a grown adult. And
- 27:36Speaker 1: it's embarrassing. You should be embarrassed.
- 27:38Speaker 2: It's really embarrassing. I'm like, dude, you are twenty six,
- 27:41Speaker 2: you're the oldest brother, and you're acting like this, like
- 27:43Speaker 2: I don't understand what's going on. But as the time
- 27:47Speaker 2: goes on, while they're there, I could sense that Ethan
- 27:50Speaker 2: was really just triggered by Veronica's presence because she was
- 27:54Speaker 2: reminding him of Olivia, right, and I think that was
- 27:57Speaker 2: the issue. However, of course, Ethan acting out his anger
- 28:01Speaker 2: in the way that he was doing is absolutely unacceptable
- 28:04Speaker 2: and ridiculous, but I think that's where it was coming from,
- 28:07Speaker 2: because there was a moment where Veronica because she hasn't
- 28:11Speaker 2: said hi to anybody, she hasn't said a word to
- 28:14Speaker 2: anyone in the family, but then at one point she
- 28:16Speaker 2: goes and talks to the littles. She talks to the
- 28:18Speaker 2: little girls and is super chummy and friendly with them,
- 28:21Speaker 2: and Ethan sees this and he says, this is bullshit.
- 28:24Speaker 2: This is the same thing that Olivia did where she
- 28:27Speaker 2: wanted nothing to do with any of the adults in
- 28:29Speaker 2: the family but went straight to the little kids to try.
- 28:32Speaker 1: And them and drive a wedge into the family. She
- 28:36Speaker 1: sat that then with Isaac, and Isaac remembers that as well,
- 28:39Speaker 1: uh huh, and doesn't want Veronica coming in and doing
- 28:42Speaker 1: the same thing, which he actually tells Micah yep.
- 28:45Speaker 2: And then Kim tries to talk to Ethan to try
- 28:47Speaker 2: and calm him down, and Kim's like, we can try
- 28:50Speaker 2: and talk to Lydia later too, because like she thinks
- 28:53Speaker 2: that a lot of it is Ethan being mad at
- 28:57Speaker 2: Lydia and Zach and I'm like, I mean, and I guess,
- 29:00Speaker 2: like Ethan's not approving of their marriage whatsoever, and he's
- 29:04Speaker 2: made that abundantly clear. But I think that the real
- 29:06Speaker 2: root of it everything is that he's pissed off Veronica's here,
- 29:10Speaker 2: and he's pissed off that there's tension in the first
- 29:12Speaker 2: place in this family. And Kim does a bad job
- 29:15Speaker 2: at trying to talk him down because she kind of
- 29:17Speaker 2: rolls him up and is like, well, yeah, let's talk
- 29:19Speaker 2: to Lydia later, and like, I think it's with him
- 29:23Speaker 2: or it's with Isaac. But she says something to the
- 29:25Speaker 2: effect of, we'll talk to Lydia later so we can
- 29:27Speaker 2: list out all of the reasons why we think she's
- 29:29Speaker 2: making the biggest mistake of.
- 29:30Speaker 1: Her of her wedding. You couldn't have done this one
- 29:33Speaker 1: month ago. You couldn't have had a family meeting two
- 29:35Speaker 1: months ago. Come on, like, you're gonna wait until the
- 29:37Speaker 1: eve of her nuptials to do this, Kim, Come on.
- 29:40Speaker 2: I know it's ridiculous. And then we have the actual rehearsal,
- 29:44Speaker 2: but it's kind of cobbled together. Everyone's just kind of
- 29:47Speaker 2: standing around very awkwardly because nothing is set up. We
- 29:51Speaker 2: have no table set up because Ethan threw them everywhere.
- 29:54Speaker 2: We have no chairs set up or anything. And we
- 29:57Speaker 2: have Mariah trying to say something no to Veronica. She
- 30:02Speaker 2: says something like I'm glad you're here, and Veronica just
- 30:05Speaker 2: is a stink ass hoe about it. So rude. Oh
- 30:08Speaker 2: yeah him yeah, mean girl.
- 30:10Speaker 1: Yeah, very dismissive, like this is a member of this
- 30:13Speaker 1: family that you are here to celebrate, yet like act
- 30:17Speaker 1: like an adult. Yeah, but she can't, No, she cannot.
- 30:20Speaker 2: And then we have Kim walking with Isaac similar to
- 30:23Speaker 2: how she was with Ethan, and this is where she's
- 30:25Speaker 2: talking to him about how they're going to talk to
- 30:28Speaker 2: Lydia later to tell her she's making a huge mistake
- 30:32Speaker 2: in her life. And I'm just like, again, you're riling
- 30:34Speaker 2: up the tension. I understand that people are not necessarily
- 30:39Speaker 2: happy about this union. I understand that you may not
- 30:43Speaker 2: like Zach and that he apparently has a bunch of
- 30:46Speaker 2: red flags, But we don't need to be creating more
- 30:48Speaker 2: intention with these very hot headed young men. Yes, that
- 30:53Speaker 2: are getting pissed off and thrown shit around.
- 30:56Speaker 1: Yeah, and in short order, they're going to be drinking
- 30:58Speaker 1: kim uh huh, and then there's to be the wedding.
- 31:00Speaker 1: They're going to have a lot to drink, and then
- 31:02Speaker 1: there's going to be a violent outburst and you're gonna
- 31:04Speaker 1: have to ask yourself, like, did you do anything to
- 31:07Speaker 1: stoke those flames by being an unintuitive dipshit of a
- 31:11Speaker 1: mother exactly, who's not just trying to like create a
- 31:14Speaker 1: peaceful moment.
- 31:15Speaker 2: No, Lydia.
- 31:15Speaker 1: It's about lydia. It's not about everybody else's feeling right exactly.
- 31:19Speaker 2: And then you have Barry on the other end of
- 31:21Speaker 2: it not doing anything. He's really only focusing on lydia,
- 31:24Speaker 2: which I do understand. He does say something like, you know,
- 31:28Speaker 2: Ethan and Isaac appear to like somebody rubbed them the
- 31:31Speaker 2: wrong way, but I'm just gonna ignore it because I'm
- 31:33Speaker 2: gonna focus on Lydia. And it's like, Barry, I get
- 31:36Speaker 2: it that you want to focus on your daughter and
- 31:38Speaker 2: you're trying to be happy for her, and I'm glad
- 31:40Speaker 2: that she at least has one member of the family
- 31:43Speaker 2: that is trying to be excited for her because Lydia
- 31:45Speaker 2: is genuinely excited about this safe I'm so sprung. It's ridiculous,
- 31:51Speaker 2: and I don't know why over Zach, I can't, but
- 31:54Speaker 2: you know, Barry's trying to be there for her. But
- 31:56Speaker 2: I'm like, dude, why don't you talk to your sons? Though?
- 31:59Speaker 2: Why can't you be the man and be the father?
- 32:02Speaker 2: And I hate to be like put generals and stuff
- 32:04Speaker 2: on it, but like they need like a strong presence
- 32:06Speaker 2: of like you need to cut your shit out.
- 32:08Speaker 1: The hell are you doing? What are you to do
- 32:10Speaker 1: with this instant? It's embarrassing.
- 32:13Speaker 2: And then we have Ethan. After throwing all the tables,
- 32:16Speaker 2: he's still pent up with so much rage, and he
- 32:19Speaker 2: talks about after the divorce, he was so frustrated and
- 32:23Speaker 2: so angry, and one of the ways that he dealt
- 32:25Speaker 2: with that anger was doing at least one hundred push
- 32:29Speaker 2: ups a day. And then he proceeds to do a
- 32:31Speaker 2: bunch of push ups outside of his truck like a big,
- 32:33Speaker 2: old macho man with the absolute worst form I've ever
- 32:36Speaker 2: seen somebody do push ups with. And then after his
- 32:39Speaker 2: push ups, he's still pissed off and angry, So then
- 32:41Speaker 2: he gets in his old man Cadillac and then speeds
- 32:44Speaker 2: off and drives through the wedding place, like where they're
- 32:49Speaker 2: getting the pasture. Yeah, the pasture.
- 32:51Speaker 1: He's like burning rubber through the pasture and making it
- 32:54Speaker 1: an absolute spectacle out of himself.
- 32:57Speaker 2: I'm like, what is going on?
- 32:59Speaker 1: Well, so let's take this in bite sizes, like the pushups,
- 33:03Speaker 1: Like that's giving narcissism, that's giving everybody, stop what you're
- 33:08Speaker 1: doing and look at me and look how strong I
- 33:10Speaker 1: am with my one hundred pushups. That's giving main character
- 33:13Speaker 1: syndrome and being unable to live unless the spotlight is
- 33:17Speaker 1: on you. It was like really a terrible moment for him,
- 33:20Speaker 1: and then of course peeling out in the pasture. We've
- 33:22Speaker 1: got Lydia and we've got Zach And this is where
- 33:25Speaker 1: I think we get Zach to the camera right saying
- 33:27Speaker 1: like it was super disrespectful. Yeah, I was really unhappy
- 33:30Speaker 1: to see that, and he's absolutely right.
- 33:34Speaker 2: I mean, yeah, I don't know what the fuck Ethan's
- 33:37Speaker 2: and like, what are you doing? You're literally acting like
- 33:40Speaker 2: a toddler, yeah, and throwing a tantrum in front of everybody.
- 33:43Speaker 1: And it's kind of dangerous. Like when he backs up
- 33:45Speaker 1: he like almost hits somebody I know walking behind the
- 33:47Speaker 1: vehicle and like.
- 33:48Speaker 2: What are we doing? Yeah, like I understand if you're frustrated,
- 33:51Speaker 2: then just fucking go take a walk.
- 33:52Speaker 1: He wants everybody to see him be mad exactly.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the narc behavior. Like what are you doing?
- 33:58Speaker 2: I don't understand you push ups were bad?
- 34:01Speaker 1: Yeah they were bad.
- 34:02Speaker 2: You weren't even doing them right. And then we get
- 34:04Speaker 2: to the preview and we have the day of the wedding.
- 34:07Speaker 2: Everybody's getting ready. Yeah, Lydia has barely slept. She's so excited.
- 34:11Speaker 2: She looks well.
- 34:12Speaker 1: Is it because the entire family kept her up going
- 34:15Speaker 1: over all of the red flags of her betrothed.
- 34:18Speaker 2: I wonder when that conversation is gonna happen.
- 34:20Speaker 1: He's supposed to be the night before the wedding, so.
- 34:23Speaker 2: That's terrible, It's crazy. I hope we get to see
- 34:26Speaker 2: that conversation though, I would love to. I'd love to
- 34:29Speaker 2: hear that. But Lydia is super excited. And then we
- 34:31Speaker 2: have Ethan still pent up with so much rage. He
- 34:35Speaker 2: apparently wanted to talk to his sister and then Zach
- 34:40Speaker 2: told him no, and then that was why he was
- 34:42Speaker 2: so pissed off. So I think they were trying to
- 34:44Speaker 2: justify his like crash out at the wedding rehearsal as
- 34:49Speaker 2: a result of that.
- 34:50Speaker 1: But so we think that Ethan tried to talk to
- 34:53Speaker 1: Lydia before he was peeling out in the pasture because
- 34:56Speaker 1: it felt like to me that that conversation was supposed
- 34:59Speaker 1: to happen after.
- 35:00Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 35:01Speaker 1: I think I think what's gonna happen is that Ethan
- 35:04Speaker 1: and probably Kim and Micah and Isaac are going to
- 35:07Speaker 1: try and approach Lydia to sit down with her, and
- 35:10Speaker 1: Zach rightly so is going to be like, no, you
- 35:12Speaker 1: don't have access to her right now, Like this is
- 35:14Speaker 1: the night before our wedding, Like just give us a break, everybody.
- 35:17Speaker 1: And he's gonna refuse access and that's gonna piss off
- 35:20Speaker 1: the brothers.
- 35:21Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's what's going to cause all of this drug.
- 35:23Speaker 1: But like that's what my husband would do. My husband
- 35:26Speaker 1: would tell my brother like, absolutely not, you're just coming
- 35:28Speaker 1: in here to cause trouble. You've caused trouble all day
- 35:32Speaker 1: and I'm not gonna let you continue to do that.
- 35:34Speaker 1: That's what my husband would do. Yeah, he would protect
- 35:36Speaker 1: me from that, So maybe that's what Zach is trying
- 35:38Speaker 1: to do, but like Ethan is not going to take that.
- 35:40Speaker 2: Well, no, not gonna take it at all. And like
- 35:42Speaker 2: it speaks to your point earlier when we started the
- 35:44Speaker 2: pod of like was there something else that had happened
- 35:47Speaker 2: before all of this to cause all of this frustration.
- 35:51Speaker 2: Not to say that like Ethan's behavior is justified here,
- 35:56Speaker 2: but I'm just wondering, like, why are you so pent up?
- 35:58Speaker 2: And why is Isaac so piss Is it really just
- 36:01Speaker 2: because he didn't do the chores? I feel like that's
- 36:03Speaker 2: a little unreasonable.
- 36:04Speaker 1: Can I just get meta a little bit with it?
- 36:07Speaker 1: I think, yeah, I think maybe some of these kids,
- 36:11Speaker 1: and predominantly the boys, are really sick of significant others
- 36:16Speaker 1: coming into the family and then shitting all over their
- 36:19Speaker 1: family or disrupting their family, or being damaging in some
- 36:22Speaker 1: way to the family. So we've seen it with Olivia,
- 36:25Speaker 1: we've seen it with Veronica. Now they're perceiving that they're
- 36:28Speaker 1: seeing this with Zach, and they're just sick and they're
- 36:30Speaker 1: tired of it. And so maybe there's just this subtext
- 36:34Speaker 1: of like we're watching you, we're not happy with you,
- 36:37Speaker 1: We're sick of this shit, so they're ready to pounce.
- 36:40Speaker 1: But does that mean Zach deserves it? No, it does not,
- 36:42Speaker 1: because everything Zach has shown up until this point, at
- 36:45Speaker 1: least that we have seen Beatrice has been normal. I
- 36:50Speaker 1: mean it's not been great, but it's been normal. Nothing
- 36:53Speaker 1: super offensive. But let me ask you a question, because
- 36:55Speaker 1: we didn't drill down into it, and I want to.
- 36:57Speaker 1: I want to inquire, like, what are you you think
- 37:00Speaker 1: about Zach going to Barry's house, staying for multiple weeks
- 37:06Speaker 1: and not contributing any money. He's not working at this time,
- 37:11Speaker 1: only coming out of his room when there's free food
- 37:14Speaker 1: that he gets to eat, and then not helping cleaning
- 37:16Speaker 1: up like in my world, Yeah, I would never, ever, ever, ever,
- 37:21Speaker 1: what do you think of that?
- 37:22Speaker 2: I would never, I would never. I find it very disrespectful.
- 37:25Speaker 2: And if he's doing other things, like maybe he's making
- 37:28Speaker 2: comments too, or like maybe he has a bad attitude.
- 37:30Speaker 2: I think Isaac kind of touched on that earlier and
- 37:33Speaker 2: I forgot to mention it, but like, I just wonder
- 37:35Speaker 2: how the general vibe is with him not doing all that.
- 37:39Speaker 2: I would find that very disrespectful because I'm opening my
- 37:41Speaker 2: home to you. You are going to be a part
- 37:44Speaker 2: of my family. I was raised different though, Oh yeah,
- 37:46Speaker 2: I'm like I.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Think most of us were. It's called home training, Like
- 37:50Speaker 1: you don't go into somebody else's home and avail yourself
- 37:53Speaker 1: of their hospitality and not give something back, Like we
- 37:56Speaker 1: just we just don't do that. And it also made
- 37:59Speaker 1: me wonder, like how were you acting while you were there?
- 38:01Speaker 1: Because what we see on camera is just like he's
- 38:05Speaker 1: smiling all the time and he's laughing and he's like
- 38:07Speaker 1: it's so way happy. But like, what do you like
- 38:09Speaker 1: when the cameras aren't on? What do you like when
- 38:12Speaker 1: you're having a conversation with Isaac? Is this still what
- 38:15Speaker 1: you're giving or do we get a more authentic version
- 38:18Speaker 1: of who you are? Like what was that experience?
- 38:21Speaker 2: Like exactly? I mean, because we're seeing like little glimpses,
- 38:25Speaker 2: like was last week when he gave Lydia that weird
- 38:28Speaker 2: look because she kind of cut him off a little
- 38:30Speaker 2: bit and she was just being kind of sweet, like
- 38:32Speaker 2: she acknowledged that she shouldn't have cut him off, but
- 38:35Speaker 2: like he still gave her that weird look. Like I
- 38:38Speaker 2: don't like his energy. I find him disrespectful a little bit.
- 38:41Speaker 2: I find him a little, like I said a few
- 38:44Speaker 2: episodes ago, audacious to expect that everybody would just automatically
- 38:49Speaker 2: respect him after meeting him for the first time, after
- 38:52Speaker 2: he's going to propose to their daughter, their sister, after
- 38:55Speaker 2: a couple months of knowing her, Like it is audacious,
- 38:58Speaker 2: it's weird to me. And then when you compound all
- 39:01Speaker 2: of that, not helping out, not contributing financially, you know,
- 39:06Speaker 2: sitting on his phone, sitting on his ass and not
- 39:08Speaker 2: talking to anybody, and quite possibly being disrespectful otherwise, with
- 39:13Speaker 2: him not letting Lydia choose the colors of the wedding
- 39:17Speaker 2: because it's all about him and what he looks good
- 39:21Speaker 2: in and how.
- 39:22Speaker 1: He has a blue suit, and it really was all
- 39:24Speaker 1: about his vision for their proposal, and like where he
- 39:28Speaker 1: wanted to do it, where he wanted to stand, where
- 39:30Speaker 1: he wanted everybody else to stand, what he wanted them
- 39:32Speaker 1: to wear. So he does have that controlling sort of edge,
- 39:36Speaker 1: and I'm just wondering, I'm wondering if that showed up
- 39:39Speaker 1: while he was living there and if that got on
- 39:41Speaker 1: Isaac's nerves. So like, by the time we get to
- 39:43Speaker 1: this moment in time, Isaac's like, I'm about to beat
- 39:47Speaker 1: this kid down.
- 39:48Speaker 2: And that's the thing, Like we don't see all of
- 39:50Speaker 2: these little moments are happening, so like we're getting splices
- 39:54Speaker 2: of moments in time, and so yeah, it seems very
- 39:57Speaker 2: crazy for these people to be reacting so dramatically over
- 40:03Speaker 2: this guy. But it's like maybe.
- 40:05Speaker 1: Maybe some things have happened and they're just super turbo
- 40:08Speaker 1: annoyed with this kid.
- 40:09Speaker 2: It's the thing. I can't wait to get to the wedding. Dude,
- 40:12Speaker 2: it's gonna be insane. I just want to see the fight.
- 40:14Speaker 2: I want to see what it's about. Because Isaac coming
- 40:18Speaker 2: in hot at the wedding rehearsal was kind of surprising
- 40:21Speaker 2: to me because it wasn't like he was hot at
- 40:23Speaker 2: Micah and he was getting mad at Micah. He was
- 40:25Speaker 2: mad at everybody else.
- 40:26Speaker 1: Well, he was kind of cutting Micah off and he
- 40:28Speaker 1: was calling out Veronica for sure, But.
- 40:31Speaker 2: Does that justify him beating the shit out of it.
- 40:33Speaker 1: Well, if Veronica starts to act up and come for
- 40:37Speaker 1: the family and Isaac is already super sensitive about that,
- 40:40Speaker 1: and after having dealt with Zach and then Micah defends Veronica,
- 40:45Speaker 1: I can see I can absolutely see that triggering Micah
- 40:50Speaker 1: and frankly Ethan as well, So I can see how
- 40:53Speaker 1: that would start. And I do think it would be
- 40:54Speaker 1: Veronica that lights the match, probably, but I mean maybe
- 40:58Speaker 1: that's not what happens that all we're going to have
- 40:59Speaker 1: to So, like, based on what we're seeing, it looks
- 41:02Speaker 1: like we're probably not gonna see the full wedding next week.
- 41:06Speaker 2: Probably not.
- 41:06Speaker 1: We're probably going to talk to Lydia, We're gonna go
- 41:09Speaker 1: over the red flags, Zach's gonna be pissed, the boys
- 41:13Speaker 1: are gonna be pissed, and then maybe we'll end right
- 41:16Speaker 1: before the wedding and maybe the next episode, which is
- 41:18Speaker 1: what I'm gonna be gone, Yeah, is gonna be the
- 41:20Speaker 1: wedding and then maybe the drama at the wedding, but
- 41:24Speaker 1: I don't think we're gonna get the wedding and also
- 41:26Speaker 1: the sit down with Veronica where the entire family confronts her.
- 41:30Speaker 1: So I feel like the family confronts Veronica after the wedding, right.
- 41:34Speaker 2: It kind of feels like it's going now, it's not.
- 41:36Speaker 1: Gonna happen tonight right in the timeline of the show. Like, no,
- 41:40Speaker 1: I don't think it's gonna happen. I don't think Kim
- 41:42Speaker 1: is bitching about Veronica yet, like having learned that Veronica
- 41:45Speaker 1: has been talking about it. So I think we're gonna
- 41:46Speaker 1: have the wedding and then people are going to learn
- 41:49Speaker 1: that Veronica instigated the drama at the wedding, and then
- 41:52Speaker 1: we're gonna have a sit down. So maybe the finale
- 41:55Speaker 1: is not until I come back from des Moines.
- 41:57Speaker 2: That would be nice. That would be great, a gift
- 41:59Speaker 2: from God.
- 41:59Speaker 1: Yes.
- 42:00Speaker 2: Well, and at the wedding in the preview, it seems
- 42:03Speaker 2: like there's talks of objections, like could you imagine if
- 42:07Speaker 2: the brothers sat up and were like I object and
- 42:10Speaker 2: cause this huge strife for Lydia.
- 42:12Speaker 1: I think I feel like that's a production fake out.
- 42:15Speaker 1: I too feel like they won't do that. But it's
- 42:17Speaker 1: the Plath boys. I mean, they're so inappropriate and grody.
- 42:22Speaker 2: Peeling off and throwing tables like I wouldn't put it
- 42:25Speaker 2: past them.
- 42:25Speaker 1: I wouldn't be surprised.
- 42:26Speaker 2: Oh I object. Yeah, I don't know, man, this is
- 42:29Speaker 2: getting wild. Shit, it's getting tense. I was kind of
- 42:32Speaker 2: triggered this episode because it was just like too much.
- 42:34Speaker 1: It's a lot going on. People are like at high alert.
- 42:37Speaker 1: People are very negative.
- 42:38Speaker 2: I don't like it.
- 42:39Speaker 1: Yeah, but I was entertained.
- 42:41Speaker 2: I mean yeah, for sure, for sure?
