- 2:59Speaker 2: Are smarter than Producer Blake?
- 3:02Speaker 6: Oh?
- 3:02Speaker 3: Mercy?
- 3:02Speaker 2: I'll try, Okay, I think you'll win. I'll ask the question,
- 3:06Speaker 2: use your name as your buzzer, and then if I
- 3:08Speaker 2: were you, as soon as you say your name, I
- 3:10Speaker 2: would say the answer. Because Producer Blake is a cheater.
- 3:14Speaker 2: He is not and he will try to cut you off.
- 3:16Speaker 2: So here we go. Question number one. What Disney character
- 3:20Speaker 2: says to infinity and beyond?
- 3:24Speaker 3: Emily?
- 3:25Speaker 2: Good job girl?
- 3:26Speaker 1: Cheating?
- 3:27Speaker 2: That is cheating. Say your name next time? Emily, Okay,
- 3:30Speaker 2: next one?
- 3:31Speaker 3: How bad?
- 3:31Speaker 2: My bad? You're good? How many colors are in a rainbow?
- 3:34Speaker 2: Producer Blake say seven, Emily, Emily seven, good job, this
- 3:40Speaker 2: is a joke. Last one for the wind. What planet
- 3:44Speaker 2: is known as the red planet? Mars? What is it? Emily? Oh?
- 3:51Speaker 5: Emily, Mark Mark mart Yeah, you know, Emily one.
- 4:06Speaker 2: It was a tough race. Book girl. You beat producer
- 4:08Speaker 2: Blake on all three questions. Congratulations, Well, thank you.
- 4:13Speaker 1: It's three things you need to know you with the ELM.
- 4:17Speaker 2: We have a few KFCs starting to close their doors
- 4:20Speaker 2: all around town. There are three locations that have officially
- 4:24Speaker 2: shut down for good, the one in Ensley on twentieth Street,
- 4:27Speaker 2: Trustville on Gadsten Highway, and then Huey Town on Alison
- 4:32Speaker 2: Bonnett Memorial Drive. So it looks like they're starting to
- 4:34Speaker 2: shut up, shut down all around so few. If you
- 4:37Speaker 2: want to get some KFC, i'd go get it before
- 4:39Speaker 2: your favorite one closes. Beyonce just released her first new
- 4:43Speaker 2: track in two years on the fourth of July. The
- 4:46Speaker 2: song is called Morning Do Donk. It will be on
- 4:50Speaker 2: the twentieth anniversary reissue of her album Birthday from two
- 4:55Speaker 2: thousand and six. This is part of the song. If
- 5:05Speaker 2: you want to hear the full song, it is released
- 5:09Speaker 2: out in the world and you can go listen to it.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Did you see Taylor and Travis the wedding over the weekend?
- 5:16Speaker 2: How many celebrities were there? Taylor Swift, Well, Nut Pieces,
- 5:19Speaker 2: nothing Crazy, Taylor Kelsey. Now, so there were more celebrities
- 5:25Speaker 2: than the met Gala. This is just some of the
- 5:27Speaker 2: people that were there. Selena Gomez, Jennifer Lopez, Tom Cruise,
- 5:31Speaker 2: Beyonce and Jay Z, Tim McGraw and Faith Hill, Gwen
- 5:34Speaker 2: Stefani and Blake Shelton Freese, Witherspoon. I saw Miranda, Miranda Lambert,
- 5:38Speaker 2: Little Big Town. We're riding in a party bus on
- 5:41Speaker 2: the way to the wedding. Jimmy Fallon, Brad Pitt ed,
- 5:48Speaker 2: she ran Bradley Cooper sell anymore like there were a
- 5:52Speaker 2: ton of people at the wedding. That's crazy that she
- 5:54Speaker 2: just goes. You guys can casually come to my in
- 5:57Speaker 2: Madison Square Garden, Nothing Big. Who was not there, Blake
- 6:02Speaker 2: Lively and Ryan Reynolds, Taylor Swift. We thought that she
- 6:06Speaker 2: was going to invite them, but apparently she did not
- 6:08Speaker 2: after all that drama with the Justin Baldoni legal case,
- 6:12Speaker 2: and they pulled Taylor Swift in she's done, she done.
- 6:15Speaker 2: She didn't invite him to her wedding. The tea thickens.
- 6:18Speaker 2: That's their things. You need to know more at the
- 6:21Speaker 2: Alabama Show dot com.
- 6:24Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show on to man.
- 6:27Speaker 2: Good morning, Kristin. What's your issue for Ask Alabama?
- 6:30Speaker 4: My husband stopped taking care of himself and I don't
- 6:34Speaker 4: know what.
- 6:34Speaker 2: To do about it.
- 6:34Speaker 3: I know.
- 6:35Speaker 2: That's why we do Ask Alabama. We do our best
- 6:38Speaker 2: to help you. If you ever have an issue, call
- 6:40Speaker 2: the show. Eight three three five I one Bama is
- 6:43Speaker 2: the number. What's going on with you and your husband? Yeah,
- 6:46Speaker 2: so we've been together.
- 6:47Speaker 4: For about ten years, and a few years into our marriage,
- 6:52Speaker 4: he just stopped taking care.
- 6:53Speaker 2: Of himself, like completely let himself go.
- 6:57Speaker 4: Started eating terrible game and a ton of weight, stop
- 7:02Speaker 4: dressing up, like.
- 7:03Speaker 2: Just no effort whatsoever.
- 7:05Speaker 4: Okay, Yeah, Like I don't know what to do about it,
- 7:08Speaker 4: Like he just I'm not attracted to him anymore. I
- 7:10Speaker 4: don't want to be intimate with him. Sometimes he gets
- 7:13Speaker 4: home and he doesn't even shower. Yeah, just wear sweats
- 7:17Speaker 4: all the time, Like it's just so unattractive.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Has he said anything to you about y'all? Like not
- 7:22Speaker 2: being intimate? He gets upset sometimes. I don't know how
- 7:26Speaker 2: to tell him why.
- 7:28Speaker 4: I love him obviously, but he's just not picking up
- 7:31Speaker 4: the hints. Like I asked him to go to the
- 7:32Speaker 4: gym with me. I ask him to, you know, do
- 7:35Speaker 4: different things, get a haircut, do you know, like just
- 7:38Speaker 4: take care of yourself kind of like hints and he's
- 7:40Speaker 4: just not picking.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Up producer blake. And if this were you, what, how
- 7:45Speaker 2: would you want your girlfriend to say something to you
- 7:47Speaker 2: about it? Or if you were married or whatever, would
- 7:49Speaker 2: you want to be approached about it? Of like, hey,
- 7:51Speaker 2: I think I think you're letting yourself go. Yeah, do
- 7:54Speaker 2: one thing at a time. Stop giving hints. You know
- 7:56Speaker 2: how dumb we are. Why while.
- 8:00Speaker 7: I hate hints, just say it straight up, say hey,
- 8:04Speaker 7: I'm kind of.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Not feeling it, because like, give one thing at a time,
- 8:08Speaker 2: I'll overload him. The reason that we don't do that
- 8:11Speaker 2: women is because if a guy came up to us,
- 8:13Speaker 2: if our partner said, hey, let yourself go, I'm not
- 8:16Speaker 2: attracted to you anymore, we would flip our ever love
- 8:20Speaker 2: and lid like, you cannot say that to a woman.
- 8:23Speaker 2: Call the show because I know, like I do think
- 8:26Speaker 2: that attraction is very important in a relationship. But I
- 8:29Speaker 2: also feel like there will probably be people who are
- 8:32Speaker 2: listening that are fired up, that say, you're married for
- 8:34Speaker 2: better or for worse, and you got to get through
- 8:36Speaker 2: the worst part. Eight three three five oh one Bama
- 8:39Speaker 2: is the number. That's eight three three five oh one
- 8:42Speaker 2: two two six two.
- 8:43Speaker 1: You are listening to the Alabama Show on demand.
- 8:46Speaker 2: I'm gonna say something that I think is an unpopular opinion. Okay,
- 8:50Speaker 2: also call the show eight three three five oh one Bama.
- 8:53Speaker 2: Kristen called the show because her husband has let himself
- 8:57Speaker 2: go and she wants to find a way to say
- 9:00Speaker 2: something to him because she's not attracted to him anymore. Correct. Yeah,
- 9:03Speaker 2: if this were a man, he would not be calling
- 9:06Speaker 2: and telling He would be cheating. He would go find
- 9:09Speaker 2: a hotter gurl and he would shoot. That's what happens.
- 9:12Speaker 2: If this were a guy, he would cheat. That's the difference.
- 9:15Speaker 2: Women are like, I want to tell them and help them.
- 9:18Speaker 2: Men would just go cheat. Men would not go cheat.
- 9:21Speaker 2: Eight three three five i one Bama is the number. Chris,
- 9:24Speaker 2: good morning. What do you think Kristen should do. Don't
- 9:27Speaker 2: overestimate a man's intelligence. You got to tell him straight
- 9:30Speaker 2: no more.
- 9:30Speaker 3: That's in business.
- 9:31Speaker 2: So she okay, So what does Kristin do? Does she
- 9:35Speaker 2: just say, Hey, I'm not attracted to you anymore. You
- 9:38Speaker 2: let yourself go. You just well, I would frame him
- 9:41Speaker 2: from a health perspective at first.
- 9:43Speaker 4: You know, hey, you've gained a lot of weight.
- 9:45Speaker 6: I'm worried about you.
- 9:46Speaker 2: You know you're you're not justin as well in wondering
- 9:49Speaker 2: if you're depressed.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Go at it from that level and see if that
- 9:52Speaker 1: helps him to kind of turn.
- 9:54Speaker 2: His stuff around. That's perfect. Thank you for that advice, Chris.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Hopefully that and that helps her and hopefully he gets
- 10:01Speaker 2: back together, because that sounds like a rough deal for
- 10:03Speaker 2: both of them.
- 10:04Speaker 1: You're listening to the Alabama Show on demand eight three.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Three five one Bama is the number to call the show. Andrew,
- 10:11Speaker 2: good morning. Do you have advice for Kristen who doesn't
- 10:14Speaker 2: know how to tell her husband she's not attracted to
- 10:17Speaker 2: him because he's let himself go.
- 10:19Speaker 6: Oh yeah, don't ever get married in the first place.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Why?
- 10:25Speaker 6: Wow, marriage is a trap. That's the thing that the
- 10:29Speaker 6: government invaded just to say you're legally together, and everybody
- 10:32Speaker 6: judges you if anything happen.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Andrew, you are married. I know if your wife here's this,
- 10:39Speaker 2: she's going to lead you.
- 10:41Speaker 5: Okay, Andrew, then you got to pay the government more
- 10:46Speaker 5: money just to get out of it.
- 10:47Speaker 2: I love you. I am going to hang up now
- 10:52Speaker 2: because I have met your wife and she is a
- 10:54Speaker 2: wonderful person, and I don't know how she puts up
- 10:56Speaker 2: with the regular lady she is.
- 11:00Speaker 3: I just gotta be honest. If anybody happy.
- 11:02Speaker 2: Or not marriage, I love you, buddy.
- 11:06Speaker 6: It comes with the mother in Aw's.
- 11:09Speaker 2: It's what the hell headlines? What the hell are you
- 11:12Speaker 2: talking about? On the Alabamma Show, a man was charged
- 11:16Speaker 2: with using a seagull as a weapon in a street attack.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Why in what world do you need a seagull as
- 11:25Speaker 2: a weapon. I don't know. This happened in Scotland. He
- 11:28Speaker 2: was charged with u saw after grabbing a seagull from
- 11:31Speaker 2: the street and using it to attack another person. Police
- 11:35Speaker 2: were called to this scene. They escorted him away. The
- 11:38Speaker 2: bird is fine, the bird was not harmed, thank goodness.
- 11:41Speaker 2: And he was charged after they walked him away. But
- 11:44Speaker 2: he literally grabbed a bird off the street. And we
- 11:46Speaker 2: don't know how he used it as a weapon, but
- 11:48Speaker 2: they said he used it as a weapon. Why it's
- 11:52Speaker 2: three things you need to know. There is a barge
- 11:56Speaker 2: that caught on fire on Lake Martin during the fourth
- 11:59Speaker 2: of July. There's video of fireworks blowing up in like
- 12:02Speaker 2: a small boat catching on fire. The Alabama Law Enforcement
- 12:06Speaker 2: Agency said it was a makeshift vessel. It didn't have
- 12:09Speaker 2: a motor and it was anchored in place, so technically
- 12:13Speaker 2: a barge. Nobody was injured. Here are the prices you
- 12:16Speaker 2: can haggle over that you didn't know you could. Mattresses
- 12:19Speaker 2: when you go into a mattress store, makes you sure
- 12:22Speaker 2: you do your research, but usually you can talk them down. Also,
- 12:25Speaker 2: internet service compare prices around your neighborhood from other providers
- 12:29Speaker 2: and then tell them. Also appliances, electronics, and furniture. A
- 12:35Speaker 2: lot of stores will do price matching. So the big
- 12:37Speaker 2: thing is make sure you do your research, look at
- 12:39Speaker 2: other prices, and then when you go to buy the things,
- 12:41Speaker 2: be like, well it costs so and so at so
- 12:44Speaker 2: and so, and usually you can talk to people down.
- 12:47Speaker 2: Here's what we know about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelsey's wedding.
- 12:50Speaker 2: Ok I'm so excited about this wedding. Okay, So they
- 12:54Speaker 2: got married at Madison Square Garden over the weekend. Adam
- 12:57Speaker 2: Sandler officiated and performed in original Okay, that's cool. There
- 13:02Speaker 2: were roughly around one thousand guests. Some of the guests
- 13:05Speaker 2: included Millie, Bobby Brown, Tom Hanks, Paul McCartney, Conan O'Brien.
- 13:09Speaker 2: There were so many people, Brad like, they're a huge
- 13:12Speaker 2: guest list of celebrities. The colors at Madison Square Garden
- 13:16Speaker 2: were Peach, white and green, Austin Swift, Taylor, Swift's brother
- 13:20Speaker 2: was man of honor, and Jason Kelce was the best man,
- 13:23Speaker 2: which I think we could have assumed. Yeah. Also, Stevie
- 13:27Speaker 2: Nicks performed an intimate concert and some of the gifts
- 13:31Speaker 2: that guests received included a handkerchief embroidered with the lyrics
- 13:35Speaker 2: from Blank Space. Okay, okay, it seems like this it
- 13:40Speaker 2: was legit. Yeah, people, There were photos of people leaving
- 13:44Speaker 2: the rehearsal the night before with like really fancy boxes.
- 13:48Speaker 2: So I want to know what else was in the boxes.
- 13:50Speaker 2: But oh, and they auctioned off like a vintage truck
- 13:54Speaker 2: like there, it was like a whole thing. Anyway, that's
- 13:57Speaker 2: three things you need to know more at the Alabama
- 14:01Speaker 2: Show dot com.
- 14:03Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show.
- 14:05Speaker 2: The following program is on demand eight three thirty five.
- 14:08Speaker 2: IM Bama is the number to call the show. Good morning.
- 14:11Speaker 2: Who's this?
- 14:12Speaker 3: This is Amber Bumba from Texas.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Amber hanging out with us on TikTok vive. If you
- 14:18Speaker 2: want to join our TikTok Live community, I follow Alabama Radio. Amber.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Good morning, what's your good news?
- 14:24Speaker 3: My good news is that I sang the national anthem
- 14:28Speaker 3: at one of our baseball games yesterday for America.
- 14:32Speaker 2: What were you nervous? Oh my god, I was.
- 14:36Speaker 3: I was so nervous. It's like that thirty minutes before
- 14:39Speaker 3: waiting to go on. And I don't know why. People
- 14:42Speaker 3: are like, They're like, I didn't know you were a singer.
- 14:43Speaker 3: I'm like, I haven't seen since I was like in
- 14:46Speaker 3: third grade. I don't know what came over me.
- 14:48Speaker 2: So then, how did this happen? How was this all
- 14:50Speaker 2: set up?
- 14:51Speaker 3: So a couple of months ago, I sang the national
- 14:54Speaker 3: anthem at five K that I helped with one of
- 14:56Speaker 3: our nonprofits. And again that was kind of like a
- 14:59Speaker 3: spur of the moment thing. And then there was someone
- 15:01Speaker 3: there that knew, someone connected to our local baseball seam.
- 15:05Speaker 3: They'll pass with tuaas and they're like, you should sing
- 15:07Speaker 3: the national anthem at the game. So I emailed him,
- 15:10Speaker 3: just you know, kind of thinking, okay, how I'm just
- 15:11Speaker 3: going to go And one thing led to another, and
- 15:13Speaker 3: before I knew it, I was on the schedule to
- 15:15Speaker 3: sing the anthem.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Did you did you hit the high night at the end?
- 15:19Speaker 3: I did. My secret is to start low, so I
- 15:22Speaker 3: hit it all. I mean, I'll post the video later.
- 15:25Speaker 3: I just I haven't seen the videos because I tend
- 15:28Speaker 3: to like kind of pick myself apart. So I'm just
- 15:30Speaker 3: kind of enjoying myself at the moment, being proud that
- 15:32Speaker 3: I did it. And then because people kept telling me
- 15:34Speaker 3: you did great, you did.
- 15:35Speaker 2: Great, you'd awesome. Well, and just the fact that you
- 15:38Speaker 2: did it, the fact that you faced your your nerves
- 15:41Speaker 2: and you got out there and you did it, that's
- 15:43Speaker 2: what's awesome. I'm giving you another airport. That's huge.
- 15:47Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 15:48Speaker 1: If you were listening to the Alabama Show on demand, my.
- 15:51Speaker 2: Little Cousin's babysitter first cuss words something and it was
- 15:57Speaker 2: me Mo's fault. By the way, thank you for listening
- 16:03Speaker 2: to the Alabama show I'm Alabama with producer Blake. Me
- 16:06Speaker 2: Ma is my grandmother who raised me. Hannah, my little
- 16:10Speaker 2: cousin is the voice of Hannah. Has a baby named Ida. Yeah,
- 16:16Speaker 2: that is our family's whole world. She'll be two years
- 16:18Speaker 2: old in August. Cute, sweet little baby. Hyeah. Me Ma
- 16:23Speaker 2: basically raised me and my little cousin, Hannah, and she
- 16:26Speaker 2: goes to Hannah's every other week to babysit Ida. Yeah.
- 16:31Speaker 7: Me Ma is very controlling over this baby because she
- 16:35Speaker 7: thinks she knows it all. And me Ma's like, y'all,
- 16:38Speaker 7: don't show her the phone. It'll ruin her brain.
- 16:42Speaker 2: Watch what you say around Ida.
- 16:44Speaker 7: Because she's starting to talk, she'll repeat it.
- 16:48Speaker 2: Yo.
- 16:49Speaker 6: Me Ma.
- 16:49Speaker 2: Over the weekend, was watching Ida and Ida was climbing
- 16:54Speaker 2: on the couch and Mama said her yogurt with berries
