- 3:25How are you tonight, sir? Doing fine doing fine where we
- 3:31blinked and we're ten weeks into training, right?
- 3:35I mean look on the other side of it, Thanksgiving break is in
- 3:40like ten days. You you you have to be careful
- 3:45when you're when you're telling your athletes about how quickly
- 3:49things matriculate in the all when, you know you just get into
- 3:55that grind and the routine and then now all we are worried
- 4:01about is who's going to keep their head together through
- 4:04Thanksgiving, and then come back for that one celebratory week
- 4:09and then school is over and you're like, okay, how who's
- 4:13going to show up in January out of shape?
- 4:15Haha. Yeah, do not do this, please.
- 4:18Please don't undo this. Rinse and repeat, right, some
- 4:22right. Oh my goodness.
- 4:24Well, Clyde. Are you doing?
- 4:30You know. I got rained on this week, which
- 4:39is, which is rare that happened here too.
- 4:43Yeah, I was I wasn't too happy about it.
- 4:45It's been a, it's been an odd week thus far, but we are here,
- 4:50so it's always a good time when we are here.
- 4:54Are your socks wet right now? No, not today.
- 4:57Okay? I was like you sound like your
- 4:58socks are wet right now? No no I'm still dealing with the
- 5:01residue of I'm still upset about that whole thing.
- 5:06Yes, that is factual actual Lamar The Lion.
- 5:11How are you today, sir? And I'm pretty spectacular since
- 5:17last I saw. You want to people, I am done
- 5:21that response. I mean, since last I saw you,
- 5:24wonderful people. I've been to Boise Idaho for a
- 5:27Hall of Fame induction and awesome been out to Phoenix,
- 5:31Arizona, and Tucson, Arizona and Glendale Arizona, and a few
- 5:36other places in Arizona, been pretty good, my golf game is
- 5:41getting a little bit better. We started practice back with
- 5:48one mr. Victor.
- 5:50So, yeah, we're rolling pretty good right now.
- 5:56And now Alex, when we're dead, you know, we're talking about
- 6:02how fast the baseball put out a thing today, that's 100 days
- 6:07till the first game. Hmm.
- 6:09I was like, I don't need that in my life.
- 6:11Oh, it's like somebody punched me in the ribs.
- 6:19Yeah, so there you go. It's coming.
- 6:22It's coming folks it's coming tapani.
- 6:27Last but definitely not least ever so lucious.
- 6:31How are you today sir I am. Well, I'm well just you know
- 6:36like like the governor excited about fall training and I mean
- 6:41it's the start of the signing period so we should all just be
- 6:44turning back flips right now. It's yours.
- 7:09Do you like the two different signing periods?
- 7:14I don't know why we ever let anybody take that away because I
- 7:17feel like that. That was such a better system.
- 7:21Are we going to talk about this? No, no.
- 7:23You're right. I'm sorry, I will save that.
- 7:27Stop. I said, I made my point.
- 7:30We should be excited and we're not say I will see, I kind of
- 7:32love that up there as a Prelude. You want to spoil it all?
- 7:35No, I don't. I don't give a cat.
- 7:38A piece of rope. Want to be a cowboy every time?
- 7:44Yeah. All right, all right.
- 7:46You control it control? Yeah, real men.
- 7:50See it's funny because you guys conjured this up and currently
- 7:55versus responding to a text about Pea preferred walk-on
- 7:59agreement. So thanks, thanks for
- 8:02contouring, that one. All right, so I need, I need
- 8:14that emoji face over my face right now, so that you can't see
- 8:20the contract legally binding you to nothing.
- 8:23There you go. Feel like my, all right.
- 8:27You're getting everybody in their seats.
- 8:28Who has Preferred walk-on agreements already out and
- 8:32they're like, what we should do. Focus, focus.
- 8:51No, I'm a TV today. Like, it's almost notes.
- 8:55Oh, wait! I did, I gave you the test.
- 8:57You did fail. So maybe you actually are I have
- 9:00ADHD to the fullest self diagnosed?
- 9:03I've well, we don't have to look at this point.
- 9:05I mean, anyhow, moving on. Do you look, that was worse.
- 9:09Please back on the tracks, back on the tracks.
- 9:15So, Honestly, there was a lot going on this week and it's only
- 9:19Wednesday, for us recording. One of them are more call.
- 9:25It conversational pieces at this point leading into this point of
- 9:28the week. Is what's going on with a former
- 9:32NFL player? Two former NFL players I should
- 9:35say and what positions one is holding and one, is it hoping at
- 9:42this point and that end the views from the outside looking
- 9:45in and whatnot? So, the governor, if you
- 9:49wouldn't mind, just I lost it up and there for you.
- 9:53Let's fill in the spaces. Let's see who's gonna interrupt
- 9:58you first. That's basically what I'm doing,
- 10:03okay? So, The owner of the
- 10:13Indianapolis Colts fired, his head coach Frank Wright, and not
- 10:23too long after that announce that he pairing Jeff.
- 10:27Saturday, who is who was an ESPN pundit as As his interim head
- 10:38coach. And the whole reason why he was
- 10:43able to pull this stunt and I call it a stunt is that there is
- 10:50no Rooney Rule that applies to the interim head coach position.
- 10:56You don't have to go through the process of, you know, figuring
- 11:01out all bringing in multiple candidates, making sure you're
- 11:06bringing an African-American candidate into the mix. and in
- 11:13my opinion, this This move made by a dies at universities.
- 11:22There are trying to appease donors.
- 11:27I've seen this happen. I've seen situations like this
- 11:30happen where you're literally bringing someone into to keep
- 11:34the peace, or to make sure that the Colts faithful, you know,
- 11:40know that somebody that, you know, was a part of a winning
- 11:46era of the cult. It's is now, you know, is in
- 11:53there. So everything's good people.
- 11:56We're going to keep everything. We're going to get everybody
- 11:59through the season. Everybody's going to be happy.
- 12:05I'm guessing you're talking about Steve Nash.
- 12:09As far as him being fired, I did, I mean, the did you know
- 12:13I'm not yet? Okay, okay.
- 12:15All right, bringing, you know, obviously it has brought about a
- 12:21whole lot of conversation now regarding, you know, this is
- 12:26another example of these professional sports owners that
- 12:32are just stepping out and doing whatever they want, okay?
- 12:36And they're making these decisions.
- 12:39And there's no regard to, you know, any sort of investigation
- 12:46and it's sort of the background work.
- 12:48Any sort of mean this move by Jim irsay is, you know, will go
- 12:54down in my opinion, is one of the most, you know, like he just
- 13:00went with what he felt, he felt like he felt like this was the
- 13:06best move for him, you know? So Curious to know what
- 13:11everybody else on this on this panel things.
- 13:14I just think it's just it just flies in the face of
- 13:21professionalism, I think it flies in the face of, you know,
- 13:26just it's just another example of an owner just doing whatever
- 13:30he wants Stop me. Try and stop me.
- 13:40I think so directly linking before everybody else goes off
- 13:43on it. Directly linking what we talk
- 13:46about as Collegiate coaches in hell.
- 13:49We there's a lack of professionalism and they in
- 13:53couple circles that I've been in recently, you know, it was said,
- 13:57you know, don't worry about getting such an assessor
- 13:59certification, don't worry about this Accolade, just make sure,
- 14:03you know, the right people at the right time.
- 14:05And there's truth to that But you got to be able to do the job
- 14:09when you got the job. So it just it's bewildering and
- 14:14whatnot. So that's all I got to say about
- 14:15that. Okay.
- 14:21All right. I mean not my other two
- 14:24colleagues are seem like they're taking their time here.
- 14:31If you would like Nobody seems to care, you know,
- 15:20and it's going to be, you know, like I said, it's doing the
- 15:22black line that is movement. Everybody gets upset for three
- 15:25or four months and requires it goes away.
- 15:28So, this will be headlines for about two or three weeks, and
- 15:31then we'll just sneak quietly into the night and if he does a
- 15:34good job, bill will be the full time coaching.
- 15:36Not. Okay?
- 15:39Now. See I'm glad you went because
- 15:41you Slightly changed where I wanted to go with my comments.
- 15:49So okay. Let me try to get the
- 15:54low-hanging fruit out of the way this.
- 15:57It's it's one. What just happened with Jim
- 16:01irsay just did is 100% unprofessional.
- 16:04It is 100% a slap in the face to the Perfection of coaching and
- 16:12what it's supposed to mean to, you know, come into this
- 16:16industry, learn work hard, grind your way up, the ladder to
- 16:23Eventually land yourself in one of these coveted chairs as we
- 16:27often refer to the right. It's totally unprofessional.
- 16:32And I'm not here for it. I it was so unprofessional.
- 16:39I literally laughed when I saw it on ESPN and let's be clear.
- 16:45I actually love Jeff Saturday, huge fan of him.
- 16:48I think he's great on television and because he's smart and
- 16:52understands football, he might do a good job.
- 16:56Him doing a good job to me, on the professionalism side is
- 16:59completely inconsequential to the issue.
- 17:01It doesn't matter. Having said that I want to say
- 17:07this, I'm not here for the higher and the way it went down,
- 17:13but I'm also not here for the fake outrage about it.
- 17:16And let me, let me say what I mean by fake outrage about, I
- 17:20wasn't really going to go here. I was trying to avoid it but I
- 17:23just can't get past it. All the players in the NFL.
- 17:31That are on Twitter HOT with the fingers set up, you don't really
- 17:36care because if you cared you actually have the power to do
- 17:40something about these things, but you just like to talk in the
- 17:44moment and to certain Lucius point, you going to go on and
- 17:48play the games and roll with the punches anyway.
- 17:50So the fake outrage, I'm not really here for that.
- 17:55There have been many, many people in the media that have
- 17:57made very, very quality points. But there are other examples out
- 18:04there when professionalism is, given the middle finger that all
- 18:08of a sudden you're here for. And this is what I mean.
- 18:13If your problem with the Jeff Saturday higher is and it seems
- 18:17to be the main problem that there are so many other
- 18:22qualified black coaches who have been in the game fought there.
- 18:28You know, fought for their positions, did the grinding have
- 18:32the resume and have been slighted.
- 18:35Have been cut in line by creating this narrative in this
- 18:39position for Jeff Saturday to run the Colts.
- 18:43All that's true. But then where's your outrage
- 18:46for Deion Sanders running Jackson State, Because he did
- 18:51the exact same thing. and if it's okay for black professional
- 18:58coaches, to be cut out of that mix if Deon gets a pass because
- 19:05he's black. Those same people that are being
- 19:10cut out of, you know, they're lying in their opportunity,
- 19:13those are still black coaches that are missing those
- 19:15opportunities on either side so Jeff Saturday took an
- 19:18opportunity away from qualified black coaches and so the Deion
- 19:22Sanders. So if you're mad about that for
- 19:26that reason, then be mad about that for the exact same reason
- 19:31crimes. There is doing a good job by all
- 19:32accounts, right? But a whole bunch of people that
- 19:35have been dying to be in those chairs lost that opportunity.
- 19:40So, you know, I think it's a mess and the funny part is the
- 19:44funny not funny part is that the NFL is a Private Industry.
- 19:50Owned by billionaire owners. So Jim irsay is attitude
- 19:54wrongfully. So in my eyes is exactly which I
- 19:59said it, is I own this team and I'm gonna do the hell, would I
- 20:02want with this team? Hmm, that's, that's, that is
- 20:05insulting. But to me, it's less insulting
- 20:09than a public university doing the exact same thing.
- 20:13So, you know, when this stuff goes on at the Collegiate level
- 20:16to me, it's actually more expensive. but, Listen people
- 20:22don't do what they want to do with their teams.
- 20:25The Rooney Rule is good in theory, but obviously doesn't
- 20:28change much. And if you want to find a way
- 20:31around it, you going to find a way around it.
- 20:32So you know, if you're outraged and be outraged, just be
- 20:36consistent, that's all I'm saying.
- 20:41I didn't think it was possible but you can actually give him
- 20:43any more to unpack that I already had.
- 20:45So I'm going to try to try to segment this.
- 20:49I'm going to start, I would like everybody to buckle up because
- 20:52we're going around the block. I will start where you left us.
- 21:01College is college and Pro's Pro and I couldn't agree with you
- 21:03more Dion skipped, a bunch of people, but he's like one of
- 21:08probably 500 examples. we can give you black-and-white of
- 21:13glorified College, college athletes or, or Otherwise
- 21:21qualify but not necessarily by resume qualified to be college.
- 21:25Coach insert college coach hire here.
- 21:27So I agree with you from the college perspective that that
- 21:31happens. I will also say that it's
- 21:34college and part of the reason it happens is because you have
- 21:37alumni basis and donors. So having left that alone, I'm
- 21:41going to jump to where where I think the Crux of this this
- 21:44issue is For the record, I to very much like you, I like and
- 21:52respect Jeff Saturday and his knowledge base.
- 21:57I don't even necessarily assume that he's not going to be great
- 22:00at the job because he may very well be great at the job.
- 22:03But but my issue is very, very simple.
- 22:10That goal post was absolutely impossibly moved for.
- 22:16Jeff Saturday. And it was moved because Jeff
- 22:22Saturday is easy for the owner to go have a beer with because
- 22:26they share cultural backgrounds. And at the end of the day am I
- 22:32saying that? It's wrong for him to hire Jeff
- 22:35Saturday over Reggie? Wayne like, no, because I don't
- 22:40know what Reggie Wayne's qualifications are either, but I
- 22:43do know this, any justification you have for hiring Jeff.
- 22:48Saturday Reggie, Wayne checks the same box and is already on
- 22:51the staff. Yep.
- 22:53Right. So that like the Optics of that
- 22:56are bad and the reality of that is worse but where I really want
- 23:01to go is this The fact that we had to have the Rooney Rule
- 23:08tells you all that's wrong with the NFL, right?
- 23:12And if you have to have a really rule than you, you're blind and
- 23:16stupid. If you think they're ever going
- 23:18to actually enforce it, they're being forced to have it in the
- 23:22first place, but you're not about to tell billionaires how
- 23:26they can do things. It's just, it's just not going
- 23:30to happen, right? And so at the end of the day, I
- 23:32mean that's why I laugh. About the whole damn spider
- 23:34thing. That tells you how bad a human.
- 23:35He is because like the most entitled group of people on the
- 23:39entire planet have decided. No, he can't be part of us
- 23:42anymore. Right?
- 23:44Right. So so consider tastes like no.
- 23:46You can't sit at the table. We know you're white and Rich
- 23:49and old but no you don't. You don't belong in this club.
- 23:53Really, really if it walks like a duck.
- 24:00Quack, quack, quack quack. So my bigger issue, right?
- 24:06Is that What the TV heads are going to now do is is deplorable
- 24:15because they're going to help Feed The Narrative that this is
- 24:19about Jeff Saturday and Reggie Wayne and it is not, it is about
- 24:25what the hiring of Jeff Saturday represents.
- 24:28It's not about him. Right.
- 24:31Like because at the end of the day and the governor slid it in
- 24:35there immediately, this is an immediate and intentional
- 24:39usurping of the routing rule, because if you put them in an
- 24:44interim tag, you don't have to run.
- 24:45You don't have to vet them. And if he does, even as long as
- 24:48he's not one and eight in their last nine games, right?
- 24:54You can make him the head coach. If that's what you want to do.
- 24:56I'm not even saying this, what he's necessarily going to do.
- 24:59But my biggest issue with all of this is, it's like you have the
- 25:03right to hire anyone, you want, but you don't have the right to
- 25:08usurp the process. Right?
- 25:11Like at the end of the day they like you just don't want us to
- 25:14like spend the time to talk to Reggie Wayne and one other black
- 25:18person you can still hire Jeff Saturday.
- 25:20Nobody cares. Right.
- 25:23It's just that you like, They are so hell-bent on doing it
- 25:28their way and showing you like what?
- 25:30We going to be the way we want to be and there's nothing you
- 25:32can do about it that they don't even have the time to be
- 25:35bothered with the Rooney Rule. It only requires them to
- 25:39interview them. I mean it's and it's and that's
- 25:43so bad that like Eric be enemy and and Todd Bowles and Byron
- 25:51Leftwich all stated for the record.
- 25:57That they knew they had been token interviews.
- 25:59Mmm, right. And that's why we all love
- 26:02bruised areas because Bruce Arians the Dolphins.
- 26:05The head coach of the Dolphins. Same please Aryans vice versa.
- 26:09The Rooney Rule because he slid Todd Bowles in as the interim.
- 26:18Yeah, I think he was in Iraq. I think in the interim tag for a
- 26:21week and it was in the offseason.
- 26:25All right. So somewhere somewhere.
- 26:29You know, in our space, owner of the Houston Texans is probably
- 26:35punching the air right now. because, Yeah, he had every plan
- 26:44to hire Josh McCown who also had no head coach experience?
- 26:50No NFL. Head coach experience and
- 26:54because of the public scrutiny because of the, I mean, it was
- 26:58immediate, it was fast and it was Furious and just, as quickly
- 27:02as this idea, was floated. Whoops.
- 27:05Nope, can't do. It can't do it.
- 27:08You know. Is not the Jim irsay is alone in
- 27:15this thinking. I mean that all these these
- 27:20folks, these owners, these billionaire owners are going to
- 27:24do whatever they want and as long as it does not hurt their
- 27:29brand, and as long as they can figure out a way to find the
- 27:35crack in the facade, We're going to see more of this in my
- 27:40opinion and let's be clear. It doesn't hurt their breath.
- 27:44Mmm, it absolutely doesn't. And that's what I mean.
- 27:47Like I get it in the moment. It feels terrible and you want
- 27:52to have something to say about it but like I said some people
- 27:55I'm cool with it. What they have to say because
- 27:57they're consistent and they've always been on this page but the
- 28:00majority of people If it was, if it was a different person on a
- 28:06different team and they so happen to hire the guy, you
- 28:09like, you wouldn't have nothing to say.
- 28:13And that goes to the players, you can look at you could look
- 28:16at the NBA, you got all the NBA players.
- 28:20They're all try to act like they want a ride to see more black
- 28:23coaches and chairs. But everybody was good with
- 28:27Steve, Nash, getting the everybody in, Brooklyn was good
- 28:29with Steve Nash getting that job.
- 28:31Kevin Durant, stepped out. No, we mean that's what we
- 28:33wanted. Kyrie like that's who we wanted
- 28:35and we all understand the Kyrie got issues and whatever but
- 28:39that's what they do. If it's their guy if it's
- 28:42someone there a fan of they're cool with it.
- 28:45So it's really, it's really not this Kumbaya.
- 28:49Let's all stand together for what's right issue?
- 28:51Like, most people don't really care about what's right, they
- 28:54don't care. are they just, you know, they just do the
- 28:58convenient thing in the moment and I find it ironically funny
- 29:04because that's the exact same attitude that the owners have
- 29:06we're going to do what's convenient in the moment for me.
- 29:09This is my team. I spent the money.
- 29:12You're not about to tell me anything.
- 29:15And honestly, I think it's wrong and I think it's unprofessional
- 29:20but I totally understand that instinct.
- 29:24I'll say this, I think the greatest Houdini trick ever
- 29:31done. Is spy the Miami Dolphins
- 29:34ownership. Oh, don't you?
- 29:38Okay. They were let me finish.
- 29:43They were incredibly undermining and racist.
- 29:48Brian Forest, yes. The right?
- 29:50Yes, they were what, and, and wild part was Because of the way
- 29:57he looks and how few people really knew there were a few
- 30:03idiots before they have fact-checked, that were actually
- 30:07about to call the Dolphins racist because they fire Brian
- 30:10floors and they hired a white guy.
- 30:11And I was like, don't sit, right?
- 30:16Like he's Daniel a black man McDaniel question, as you call a
- 30:28mixed baby? Hmm, I think he would have a
- 30:31harder time convincing somebody. He was a head football coach
- 30:34that convincing them that he was black, both will be difficult
- 30:38just because of Optics. But I think he looks less like
- 30:41the head football coach in the NFL than anything.
- 30:43Yeah. But I thought that was the
- 30:45greatest Houdini trick ever done because they were absolutely
- 30:48Positively guilty of all the things that Brian floors.
- 30:51Need a accuse them of sure your point to your point.
- 30:55Clyde, he wasn't there guy. No, he wasn't.
- 30:59And, and what's, and again, the, the irony of all of that.
- 31:02And remember, I'm a Bill Belichick fan, big time.
- 31:06Bill Belichick thing, so by proxy.
- 31:08I'm a black guy, Brian florist friend.
- 31:11Brian Flores did an excellent job in Miami by all about as
- 31:15good, a job as you can do, right?
- 31:17But McDaniel But, but nothing is doing a better job, okay?
- 31:21But stop right there, he's doing a better job, okay?
- 31:24That's that's like, saying that's like saying the first two
- 31:27years is Steve Kerr. Did a better job than March acts
- 31:29because that's just not true. He did, he did a really good job
- 31:32with the team. Mark Jackson put together and
- 31:34Mark, Jackson made, right. So let's be clear, but I love
- 31:39McDaniel, but let's not play that narrative but but I ask a
- 31:43question because I'm a little, I'm a little behind the curve
- 31:46here. So, Steve curve.
- 31:50Did he win more than Mark Jackson did?
- 31:52Yes. Whoa now yes, but in two years.
- 31:58Yes, his first two and more taxes.
- 32:03Last two. Yes.
- 32:04But that's kind of the point that that was being built.
- 32:08Am I saying that you're wrong? But I don't think that you can
- 32:13discount Clyde's. Point that, that, that he did a
- 32:16better job because he made that That wreck.
- 32:19And the funny thing, is, with the football example, I mean,
- 32:23it's even more Stark, right? Listen, again, I'm a fan of
- 32:27Bryan Flores, and I think he did an excellent job.
- 32:32But Brian Flores is calling card is all about defense, right?
- 32:37The defense was pretty damn good.
- 32:39The offense was for sure lacking and it's their lack of offensive
- 32:44productivity that cost them where they wanted to go, right?
- 32:47But they let him make Personnel moves that he wanted.
- 32:52Okay, that's fine. All I'm saying is right now, the
- 32:56Miami offense is amazing, Tyree kill.
- 33:00They have all kind of Different things, but that's the point.
- 33:03They made a coaching change and decided to not only, make a
- 33:06coaching change, but invest in the pieces to make the offense
- 33:10better. And all, I'm thinking, that was
- 33:12the Crux of bribe for his entire argument is that they told him,
- 33:17he did not have any say, in Personnel decisions.
- 33:21He didn't want to draft to her. He wanted to take another, he
- 33:25wanted to take another wide receiver besides jail and
- 33:28waddle. So wait, the following year,
- 33:32they go get him Tyree kill. I'm pretty sure Brian floors
- 33:35could have one with that. May be but the offense.
- 33:39I don't think would have been nearly as good as it is right
- 33:41now. We're not gonna have this
- 33:43conversation to have me. Pick it up.
- 33:45I like those guys. So long story short, it was
- 34:11super unprofessional and none of us are here for the higher.
- 34:15But what you want to do, you always say this.
- 34:19It's not that I'm not here for the higher, I'm not here for how
- 34:22it happens. Yeah, I'm not here.
- 34:24I think it's the most disrespectful thing to the
- 34:26process and to the into the entity He of coaching that could
- 34:31possibly have been done to, absolutely.
- 34:36Another evidential move evidence-based, roof on why they
- 34:40keep going with the lack of professional career, right?
- 34:46Mark Jackson was 121 and 109. You have the record of 121.
- 34:54Went 121 wins in 109 losses coaching career with the
- 34:57Warriors. That was two years.
- 34:59Long, Steve Kerr. One 140 times and lost twenty
- 35:07four times in the first two years.
- 35:10Those numbers thought that up and got got some rings to.
- 35:14Yep, we're just too many games and Martin Marcus.
- 35:19Yeah, I know. I know.
- 35:20I said that too, but that's what it says.
- 35:54Anyways, that was my factory shop tonight.
- 36:05With that said, we're going to stay on the football landscape.
- 36:13We're going to stay with the football. referee for the young
- 36:21years away or maybe, maybe lack of this this week, maybe,
- 36:47Things have cleared themselves up as to who has their own
- 36:52destiny in their hands because what I was most in the Uproar
- 36:56about, as of last week, was, it was clear present and obvious
- 37:02TC, you could have won every game, they had left and they
- 37:04were going to get it as long as the teams ahead of them one,
- 37:08right? That mean, that was just clear,
- 37:09like, to see you at TCU little bit, but we don't need to talk
- 37:12about that anymore. That's where things were so
- 37:15thanks to Georgia and LSU Georgia did their job right?
- 37:21Which was clear. Clear and obvious.
- 37:24But the but the most important to things that happened right
- 37:28was that LSU beat Alabama but that's actually less as
- 37:33important as Clemson getting punched in the face by Notre
- 37:37Dame because Clemson was but also but also let's make this
- 37:40clear now to now because it Tennessee Beast Georgia.
- 37:44And it's not it's not a simple, you know, because it's Georgia.
- 37:48Yeah, because it's George. Yeah, yeah.
- 37:51And trust me that they're going to try to figure out the
- 37:54narrative to continue to push LSU to where they're on the
- 37:58precipice. Because it, I mean, am I right
- 38:00now LS using the driver's seat to go the SEC Championship?
- 38:04Yes, right. If they do, when they're young,
- 38:06right? It's so I can just tell you
- 38:08this, nobody and I repeat nobody wants to see LSU play Georgia.
- 38:13In the SEC Championship, which is why?
- 38:16And Ellis - nobody wants to see that at the end of the day.
- 38:22Because okay, so that just opens up so much nonsense a headache.
- 38:27Try to explain it off, you know? But the one thing the one thing
- 38:32is clear, though, there's long as LSU does their job Alabama's
- 38:36sitting at home this year. Yes, there is no world without
- 38:39going to get to the playoffs. Let's say a start that tonight
- 38:41right? Started its It's no, it's never
- 38:45about what it's about for me. Because I know that you saw it.
- 39:10When the Saturday's were over. Up until this moment right now
- 39:16has ESPN. Yes, or no.
- 39:20Still continue to push the narrative.
- 39:23That three SEC teams could absolutely get already know the
- 39:26answer to that because I put it in the group chat, but I want to
- 39:29say, but I will say this, as I said last year and I want to
- 39:40listen to me. Okay, that anybody thinks is
- 39:46true as he seems get into this year or delusional.
- 39:51And I need to stop drinking because not happened.
- 39:53Okay, now, well, that's fine. I want to be clear the last time
- 39:57we Broach this subject, all I said, was that the table had
- 40:02been set for that to happen and that was factual Alabama fumbled
- 40:09the bag. That's what they did now, LSU
- 40:15under Brian Kelly, which I find hilarious by the way.
- 40:19Hello all you people that been talking trash all summer and
- 40:24half way through fall about Brian Kelly.
- 40:27You better be happy because there's no, you ain't getting a
- 40:30better Coach. Okay.
- 40:32So at least that far, but you tell me who they can hire there.
- 40:37That's better than a lot of people better than 10.
- 40:39But anyway, You're not a versus mine anyway, so at LSU that's
- 40:44all I'ma tell you is this and I sense you Broach that subject
- 40:47when the man wins a big game, like a big, like a truck title
- 40:52not neither game or title, then I will consider your argument
- 40:56but he has yet to do that. Well, that is true, but now he
- 41:00has got better Talent, right? That's what I'm told.
- 41:22So, they have their own, they get to the SEC Championship.
- 41:28If they beat Georgia, I said that nobody wants to see that.
- 41:33I set the table is still set because let's be clear.
- 41:38George is number one, Ohio State's number to Michigan's
- 41:40number three. Let's be clear about this.
- 41:43Michigan, and Ohio State are occupying the same spot.
- 41:47They don't don't be fooled by the to, in the 3-1, win the
- 41:50game. The other ones not and that
- 41:52one's going to be out. So, they're there to way to be,
- 41:56right? So TCU is Actually number three,
- 41:59not number four in Tennessee. Is actually number four.
- 42:03Not number five. Okay, so let's be clear about
- 42:07that. Because Tennessee is not going
- 42:09to the SEC Championship game. So they're just gonna win the
- 42:12rest of their games, and be sitting there with one loss.
- 42:16We've seen this movie before people.
- 42:19Yep, we've seen this my issue where I behind Tennessee.
- 42:24That's the only question exactly, which is where I will
- 42:27not let Lucius claim that there are no Shenanigans.
- 42:30Oh, cuz there's right right now. First of all, Very quickly Lamar
- 42:36I Told You So about Clemson. Anyway this guy he just couldn't
- 42:42let that one go. I couldn't let that go listen
- 42:44I'm happy going body on this planet.
- 42:47Nobody we please let go to our definitions point.
- 42:51So I want to know. Number 10 is Clemson, magically
- 42:57somehow some way, there are two teams in the SEC with two
- 43:04losses. There are In the top 10 LSU is
- 43:08number 7, and Alabama's number 9.
- 43:10Now, all all I'm saying in the math of it is understood the
- 43:15whole great. The TCU fans have is look at our
- 43:18strength of schedule, blah, blah, blah.
- 43:20The rankings are a part of that. So, Alabama and LSU, sitting in
- 43:24the top 10, for example, ahead with two losses, a head of UCLA,
- 43:30for example, with what nobody okay.
- 43:35But, But that's the issue, right?
- 43:37USC is number 8. Oregon is number 6.
- 43:41Oregon and USC could easily win out and play each other in the
- 43:46pac-10 championship or UCLA could be SC in their
- 43:51head-to-head in two weeks and play Oregon for the pac-10
- 43:55championship of which organ just beat them down at Autzen.
- 43:59Hmm, but what if they avenge that loss on a neutral site?
- 44:04There's no Universe where UCLA's going to climb all the way up
- 44:07into the into the show. So it's just it's you if you
- 44:12think the LSU can't go in and win that championship and the
- 44:163sec Fiasco is still not on the table.
- 44:19It absolutely TCU TC you can absolutely lose and I would
- 44:26venture to tell you that they will.
- 44:29So as I, as I said before, you know, like let's just if you
- 44:35look at these, I agree 100% with you Clyde.
- 44:39And the Tennessee is sitting there, looking really pretty
- 44:44right now, right? I don't feel that that one loss
- 44:49is as painful as most people might make it out to be their
- 44:53way out there in there in there going.
- 44:56However, when you think about what will happen, the TCU if
- 45:01they lose any of my question is this, So I'm a little bit
- 45:06confused. Yeah I'm a little slow so I need
- 45:08y'all to help me sometimes right?
- 45:11So Georgia wins out how State wins out TCU wins out.
- 45:17Mmm Tennessee's in Tennessee is in.
- 45:21Yes, there's gonna be truth, there's good stuff, ya know that
- 45:25starts with two Right. There is the start right do
- 45:37that. It knows that right there.
- 45:38That's not right there. I mean look.
- 45:43How okay? And maybe Lamar can explain how
- 45:46Clemson drops all the way to 10. Because they're not, because
- 45:50they got destroy pick. No, because I got destroyed by a
- 45:53team. That's not even ranked.
- 45:56They got to see him, you know, I don't know whether this
- 46:01nonsense. You got screwed me every other
- 46:04week. It's true or not.
- 46:05But like you guys because you're so so caught up in this
- 46:08nonsense, you don't pay attention.
- 46:09What happened on the field. They got curve.
- 46:11Stop by not very. Good Notre, Dame team.
- 46:15Yeah, I was going to buy a Notre Dame team that had two of the
- 46:22worst losses in college this year, my great.
- 46:26So at the end of the day, like it doesn't even matter.
- 46:28Like Marcus is doing a good job and no days playing a lot better
- 46:31than they were at the beginning the season.
- 46:32But when you look at the resume you see who Notre Dame lost to
- 46:35and then you get doubled up by them.
- 46:37You're going to pay a price for that especially when people were
- 46:40wondering how good you were the first place.
- 46:42Right scene. And that's part of the problem
- 46:44with the Pac-12, right? To Utah's.
- 46:47The Pac-12 problem because they lost a Florida.
- 46:50Yes, yes. Oh okay.
- 46:57Okay, so these are facts that right, you're right sir.
- 47:02Listen if we these are things that happen on the field and I
- 47:05don't know what to do. I'm not pretending anything.
- 47:10No, no this is. How does it do this?
- 47:16Let's talk about what five people on these tiles.
- 47:20Those are this is how I feel not.
- 47:22Pretending. I what I'm saying to you guys is
- 47:25this, there's no world where I can definitely tell you that the
- 47:29nonsense that you guys claim is going all goes.
- 47:31Well, I guess that's definitely better, right?
- 47:34But all I'm saying to you, is that at some point in time, if
- 47:36you're a true college football fan, pay attention to what
- 47:39happens when the field. Well, that's my point.
- 47:42What happens on the field? Listen, I don't care what school
- 47:45were talking about at all. There's no Universe where I
- 47:50believe just like in the NFL just like in the NBA.
- 47:53In college track off my Seasons going to open mid January, we're
- 47:58going to run races, they're going to be whatever they're
- 48:00going to be and the results of the opening meet.
- 48:03Don't mean a damn thing to me about how the seasons going to
- 48:07end the old news to anybody. I may not meet you either, but
- 48:12but but but to the people that do these polls but that's my
- 48:17point. They only allow the opening
- 48:20weekend to mean something when it's It's convenient for what
- 48:24they want and we are pretty. If you if University of Oregon
- 48:30would have went all the way to Gainesville and won that game by
- 48:33one point or 50, they would get no credit for it.
- 48:38You too, as Utah, Utah, they would get know.
- 48:41What what does not a very good team this year.
- 48:50Now, if they came to Gainesville and Florida by a point or by 50
- 48:55points, and Florida ran the table.
- 48:56The rest of the way, then they should get credit for it.
- 49:00But they won't either way. And we absolutely would because,
- 49:04because, to your point, remember, it's the vaunted
- 49:07mighty SEC. No, no.
- 49:09That. That's ESPN's Point
- 49:21The Narrative at the start of the season.
- 49:22In is the SEC is amazing and the Pac-12 is trashed.
- 49:26According to the rankings, the Pac-12 has four of the top 12
- 49:31teams. 13 teams in the country. Hmm though.
- 49:34The Pac-12 still trash. I'm not sure how we got to this
- 49:38point. We weren't talking about you but
- 49:41but that's the narrative. So we were even talking about
- 49:45the - we were talking about. You guys recognizing what
- 49:50happens on the field? My talking about a narrative.
- 49:53I don't listen to me. What happens on the field, okay?
- 50:00Okay, Utah's a damn good football team right but they got
- 50:04beat by a team. That's not very good.
- 50:07Who, but no one's worried about Utah, Utah.
- 50:10Sitting number 13 in the country.
- 50:12UCLA has one loss to Oregon. As he has one loss, Oregon has
- 50:17one loss, right? And Morgan one lost too.
- 50:22Huh, Georgia, Georgia. Mmm.
- 50:25So so I think lot like us. And they got curb stomp modules
- 50:29in the opening weekend, first and home, enjoy right after
- 50:34losing the coaching a team to the portal.
- 50:37They flew all the way to the street important own.
- 50:41You may repay that game right now.
- 50:43You need to give yourself. Yes, I do.
- 50:49No sir. They knew the game was on the
- 51:17schedule, you have to go play the game but the narrative will
- 51:20be totally different. They beat Georgia right now.
- 51:24Look, Oregon is doing a fantastic job, right?
- 51:26They beat everybody else on their schedule.
- 51:29So then why are they as if it was the second week of the
- 51:32Season that big of a difference from the first or the third that
- 51:35is from the first? The bottom line is let me ask a
- 51:37finish, let me finish. The bottom line is George is a
- 51:41better football team and they were better prepared that day.
- 51:44That's fine. Let me ask you a question.
- 51:45If Oregon does not lose again and is the Pac-12 champion.
- 51:52They get the number four spot over Tennessee.
- 51:55And my mind, they absolutely should should.
- 51:58But will they is the question? Well, I don't know.
- 52:00I'm not, I don't sit in those rooms.
- 52:02What made last week? That would be an interesting
- 52:04things. Okay.
- 52:06Okay, hold on a second. So I tell you what, I'll do let
- 52:08me do a deep dive. I'll get back to you next week.
- 52:11So I'll say this you are right now.
- 52:14She wants me to do this. I'm going to tell you the next
- 52:15recorded for final four going to be just like I did.
- 52:18That's what we want. I can't do that here.
- 52:27By the way, using the parameters of the committee usually uses, I
- 52:34will say this. If Georgia wins out, Ohio State
- 52:39wins out, TCU wins out Tennessee.
- 52:42Wins wins out and Oregon wins out.
- 52:45Organ will pass Tennessee in the very last poll because organ
- 52:49will be because because Oregon will be a pact where they'll be
- 52:51a power five champion and that will be.
- 52:53The one thing that they have is Because it because the resumes
- 52:56are identical. Like this has happened.
- 52:59That's the one thing. That's the one thing that breaks
- 53:01up the, as you put it is that you're always getting to is that
- 53:04one, right? Because they only will only have
- 53:07one loss, and it will be to the number one team in the country.
- 53:10I agree with you Clyde. If they only had one loss and it
- 53:13was to help anybody the Pac-12. If they had one moss and it was
- 53:17to Utah. That no.
- 53:20Is he in seeing here is weird. Now, this is where the whole
- 53:23first week of the season they will help you.
- 53:25Because they will say, well, they lost the joys of the first
- 53:28week of the season, but they've been so much better since then,
- 53:31and the Pac-12 championship and that's cool.
- 53:33That's enough, argument will help you in that case.
- 53:35Okay? So and that's cool.
- 53:36So to Lamar and whoever else great because again, if you if
- 53:41you look at what's going on out west, right now, again Oregon SC
- 53:46and UCLA. All have one loss mmm-hmm and
- 53:51one of those three teams is going to run that.
- 53:55Belen, become the Pac-12 Champion, most likely If to
- 54:00LaMar's point, if USC does it. Because they're one loss wasn't
- 54:06to the SEC, they can't get in. If you sell know that,
- 54:26if anybody but Oregon wins, Out Tennessee's only got one loss
- 54:32and it will be to Georgia. So losses you heard that, right?
- 54:35So he is saying exactly what I'm telling you.
- 54:37He's saying okay if you see a leg and two weeks beat USC
- 54:41head-to-head in the Rivalry, the winner of that game is going to
- 54:44be in the in the Pac-12 Championship from the south
- 54:47Oregon is going to be in that championship game from the
- 54:49north, right? So let's say UCLA beat USC goes
- 54:54to the championship and avenges their loss to Oregon.
- 54:59They not getting in over Tennessee.
- 55:02And that's it. It'll I mean I'll say that they
- 55:05definitely won't be guaranteed it.
- 55:07You definitely won't. I agree with you.
- 55:08It's I think the I think the only payment that has a lock at
- 55:13getting in if they win the rest of the game sword.
- 55:15Now, if UCLA or USC runs the table and they get in and they
- 55:21don't get in to a wall lost Tennessee team that is
- 55:24definitely a travesty because there are one-loss team like to
- 55:28see the one-loss team in the difference is they are a power
- 55:31five conference. It's Champion.
- 55:33They absolutely should be in the top four and a now if that
- 55:37happens then I'm all on the bed. Like nothing that has that has
- 55:42happened like three times before but the thing is all three times
- 55:46three times before. Yeah, it's either two or three
- 55:48and I know One time. Stop that.
- 57:13I will tell you this Clyde like see you start to pull me in and
- 57:18I'm like yeah you might be right in the you say something is so
- 57:21far off the boat. Okay, so on this one,
- 58:30I legitimately feel like coaches should have today off for mental
- 58:37health. I don't even know his little
- 58:40loves The messages and the calls that I received today, just
- 58:45based on my noi, my vision that. But you said, this is this, but
- 58:50I want this in writing and I'm like, what, what, what what I
- 58:56love. And I'm going to ask you guys a
- 58:59question, but what I love and today's landscape is all your
- 59:04bills are paid but it's not a full.
- 59:07Mmm. True.
- 59:35How are you guys? Doing things and are you doing
- 59:39things differently? This fall then we'll say most
- 59:46other or any other Falls. I'll start with the governor.
- 59:51Why did that tickle you so much? You know, I'm still actually
- 1:00:08kind of wrestling with this because you know I don't know
- 1:00:12about you Clyde or I mean obviously clad you are you know,
- 1:00:17you're pretty much starting and And building the dynasty, the
- 1:00:23dynasty. As we know, it is on our panel,
- 1:00:28right? So we've got to two different,
- 1:00:31you know? So, we're gonna need you to
- 1:00:32answer the question and stop dancing around.
- 1:00:36Was just say, no, no around the block to get across the street a
- 1:00:47couple weeks ago. You know, because my recruiting
- 1:00:51has been a mix of, you know, having kids on campus doing Zoom
- 1:00:56calls, you know that sort of thing and I'm on amount of Zoom
- 1:01:00call with a recruit. And I explained that there is no
- 1:01:06early signing period anymore. And the fact is that once, you
- 1:01:11know national Signing Day hits that there is a complete blanket
- 1:01:18po. Period of time between November
- 1:01:22all the way through August, where you can sign any day, you
- 1:01:29you would have hurt. You should have heard the
- 1:01:31silence on the other end of the, of the camera, when those
- 1:01:37parents and the kid is sitting there looking at me like Well,
- 1:01:41what do you mean? And I'm like well I mean when I
- 1:01:45said you can sign in December, you can sign in January, you can
- 1:01:49sign in February, you can sign in March and they're like, wow,
- 1:01:55like I could I could hear the air in the balloon just You
- 1:02:01know, and so not to say that I'm I'm built, I'm Vivid, ambivalent
- 1:02:09to what's going on this week. You know, I'm I'm seeing, you
- 1:02:14know, the signings and kids sitting down on their tables and
- 1:02:18they're having their big, you know to do's and all of that
- 1:02:21stuff and I love it. I love it, I love the energy.
- 1:02:27But the landscape has changed so much when it comes to recruiting
- 1:02:34that. I cannot get excited about this
- 1:02:39week. I cannot get excited about next
- 1:02:42week. I cannot get excited about
- 1:02:44January February, March. No, this is now a 10-month
- 1:02:53period where you are looking for the best individuals for your
- 1:02:59team. Period Point Blank and there's
- 1:03:03this never-ending search your you're searching for those kids
- 1:03:07whether it's portal, whether it's in the national weather,
- 1:03:09it's Junior College, whether it's high school like you as
- 1:03:14much of as much reconnaissance as I've done this past summer.
- 1:03:20This fall bringing Kids on Campus, getting a chance to meet
- 1:03:23them. All of that.
- 1:03:25I still have to think about all right.
- 1:03:30Where does this kid fit? Where's this kid going to be in
- 1:03:34April? Right.
- 1:03:36Where is this kid going to be and me you know like what what
- 1:03:40are we looking at? What's coming down the pipe,
- 1:03:43which Diamonds in the Rough or just going to pop out of
- 1:03:46nowhere, right? So it's a very it's a very
- 1:03:51interesting time for me as a recruiter.
- 1:03:56I don't have the first world problems that sensor lucious
- 1:03:59has. So it's not a situation that I'm
- 1:04:04particularly rushed or I'm particularly, you know, just
- 1:04:09flustered or everybody is making these moves.
- 1:04:13What am I going to do? No, not at all.
- 1:04:17I am. I am literally going to take my
- 1:04:21time and find the right pieces and when those when these two
- 1:04:27things come together and we come to an agreement and we realized
- 1:04:31that we are fit for each other then on I make the movie.
- 1:04:35So that's, that's all I'm, that's what I'm, that's where
- 1:04:37I'm at. Husbands the lion of the more
- 1:04:43the line I'm sorry. He went around the block three
- 1:04:46times. Listen.
- 1:04:49I was just gonna sit here until I got my two until I until I got
- 1:04:53that comment out of you because I knew for sure that was me.
- 1:04:57You would have just lit me on fire, you know, you know what's
- 1:05:00hilarious about what just happened?
- 1:05:03He went so far around the block. I don't remember the original
- 1:05:06question, what he said it in the very Governor asked way.
- 1:05:12This is identified listening to any of it but I have no idea
- 1:05:16what question I'm supposed to be answered.
- 1:05:18Well, we're okay. What is that?
- 1:05:20How are you? How are you?
- 1:05:21How are you? How are you?
- 1:05:30Thanks, honestly. And and I'm I'm sure I will get
- 1:05:35a lesson from the, from the King here in a second.
- 1:05:40But honestly, I me and mine are not approaching recruiting
- 1:05:45currently any differently than I ever have.
- 1:05:50And here's why. My recruiting principles for the
- 1:05:56entirety of my career have been pretty simple.
- 1:05:59Tell people the truth. Be authentic and you know hold
- 1:06:05tight to the vision that you have for the program or you're
- 1:06:10an assistant to the vision of the true leadership has for the
- 1:06:15program. And I don't know man like no
- 1:06:19matter how many times the rules change, no matter what, the new
- 1:06:23gimmick is, whether it's the time frames that change, whether
- 1:06:27it's the NL, I ni ni L stuff, that changes transfer portal,
- 1:06:36You know, just being just being honest and being myself has
- 1:06:41always served me extremely well, you know, for our team,
- 1:06:46specifically. Apparently, we are building a
- 1:06:48dynasty. Thank you for that.
- 1:06:51For the, for the added pressure Governor, I liked it and it was
- 1:06:55flames, you know, we are identifying talent and bringing
- 1:07:03them into the program. And so our needs This year are
- 1:07:08significantly smaller than they were a year ago, so it's
- 1:07:12definitely doesn't feel like the Whirlwind that it was last year,
- 1:07:16but that also gives us an opportunity to make more
- 1:07:20specific targets and more know it.
- 1:07:24Now, it's not. Well, I need to get X number of
- 1:07:27kids that run the 400, so I can have a legitimate 4x4.
- 1:07:31A, we have a bunch of options that we have a legitimate four
- 1:07:34by four. So now it's like, do I really
- 1:07:36need Need that one. How much value are they going to
- 1:07:40bring right? And I guess if anything, that's
- 1:07:42the difference between last year, at this time, in this year
- 1:07:45at this time, but my overall principles and recruiting have
- 1:07:47not changed with the changes within the sport and maybe they
- 1:07:54should. But until I start getting out
- 1:07:57recruited by the majority, I'm gonna keep doing what I do.
- 1:08:02Mmm. Recruiting now is different
- 1:08:11obviously because the new leadership within our
- 1:08:14institution, our program. So, you know, looking at the
- 1:08:19landscape a little bit differently, do it through a
- 1:08:21different lens. Now having a different or being
- 1:08:28more acclimated to some of the AIDS, and I call them different
- 1:08:33wallets that we can pull from and learn.
- 1:08:36The ins and outs and the things to watch for the things to be
- 1:08:39cautious of things like that. So you know, as fast fast get
- 1:08:45turned in and the EFC comes back.
- 1:08:48And you know, if you don't know what the EFC predicts, then
- 1:08:51let's have a conversation. But looking at the EFC and EF C,
- 1:08:54doesn't match the kid or match the family.
- 1:08:56You're like, Did we enter the numbers and the dead like them
- 1:09:02and you know, whatever it is. If they use the net price
- 1:09:05calculators or whatnot on the websites, just kind of looking
- 1:09:09off of that stuff. We are vetting, the numbers a
- 1:09:16little bit differently. Now that we're looking at
- 1:09:17different wallets in regards to athletes who were taking on We
- 1:09:25had a conversation within our this circle here as too.
- 1:09:34How do I say this without giving out all the beans?
- 1:09:39What sound and what's not? As to what's being looked at and
- 1:09:43so and more. So on my, on my part as the goal
- 1:09:48of recruiting coordinator and you know, there are times when
- 1:09:51you're so confident in your seat that you start second-guessing
- 1:09:53the see I feel like I know what I'm doing my job and then I'm so
- 1:09:58confident. I'm not waiting, I missing
- 1:09:59something and so you know luckily I personally him and
- 1:10:04blessed enough to have these four other child's to put a
- 1:10:07question in the group chat and be like, oh God, Don't know,
- 1:10:12this is sounding right so but I mean I know I'm getting very big
- 1:10:15answers but it's because it's a whole different landscape and we
- 1:10:19don't necessarily have the the narrowed scope that collides
- 1:10:22referring to right now are our spectrum is pretty wide because
- 1:10:27we're trying to figure out how we're going to take this ship
- 1:10:30and maneuver it. I mean, for me, I'm a lot like
- 1:10:36Clyde. I don't think not a lot
- 1:10:38different than what we've ever done.
- 1:10:42But if you've ever heard me speak, I talk about my peas a
- 1:10:45lot when it comes to recruiting. My peas are patient purposeful
- 1:10:50planning. Okay.
- 1:10:53And so to the governor's Point, there's a lot of you know, areas
- 1:10:58you can draw from now and because there's so many slices
- 1:11:03of that pie Out there and then you have your hands on a lot of
- 1:11:05them. But like you take the person
- 1:11:10that wants to be on your program know and they accept understand
- 1:11:14that. Hey, we're making this offer,
- 1:11:15but the money could go away because I can't afford to wait
- 1:11:19on you if you're going to sign a January February or March kind
- 1:11:24of got somebody that may not be as good as you, but I know they
- 1:11:26want to be here and they can help me.
- 1:11:28Then, I have to take that person and then obviously, you know,
- 1:11:31because of the portal situation. If you don't get anybody early
- 1:11:35just sit back and patiently waiting, you know, somebody's
- 1:11:38going to show up, you know, some high school, kids going to show
- 1:11:40up or somebody's going to show up that you can get.
- 1:11:41So the big key thing for us as patients and not just going out
- 1:11:45and getting people because we want to save these time.
- 1:11:47Someone purposeful, meaning we have somebody that helps us, you
- 1:11:53know, in some way in the planning, part means we're going
- 1:11:56out. We're talking to the right, the
- 1:11:57right athletes. Mass is question because this is
- 1:12:01a question that I get asked from time to time in regards to To
- 1:12:03scholarship. I'm sorry, not scholarship.
- 1:12:05Recruiting but tied into scholarships with money left on
- 1:12:12the table. Let's call it any beer.
- 1:12:17Do you all feel That you should sign the money away.
- 1:12:24And maybe get a less lesser. I'm and I'm using that very
- 1:12:27Loosely. I'm just giving it a title, a
- 1:12:29lesser athlete or keep that money on the table.
- 1:12:35For this for the coming fall. So a year from now, it literally
- 1:12:41depends on what your priorities are for the program case in
- 1:12:46point. And I'm going to, I'm going to
- 1:12:48do something audacious. I'm good if you, too, if you
- 1:12:54tell me, if you tell me, he walks into his office in the
- 1:13:03middle of December and says, hey, Korean street Thompson is
- 1:13:06available. We can get him in January so
- 1:13:09loose is going to hit the button.
- 1:13:12Thompson hell are you? Kim immediately win the big
- 1:13:17prize. If you tell them you know the
- 1:13:23kid who might be able to make you know the SEC Final in an
- 1:13:27event. Lower level, you know, 6th 7th
- 1:13:308th place is available in January.
- 1:13:34He'd be like, yeah, but do we really need that, right?
- 1:13:38But he's playing a specific game for the big big title.
- 1:13:43If your priority is trying to win your conference at whatever
- 1:13:48school you're at, it's the same calculation just on a lower
- 1:13:52scale. Can this kid walk in the door
- 1:13:55and help us right now? They spend the money if it's a
- 1:13:59project. What the hell do I need a
- 1:14:00mid-year project for That's my attitude but some people, they
- 1:14:07might just need a mid-year project.
- 1:14:09Some people might need some roster spots.
- 1:14:11Like even you know even where where my program is right now,
- 1:14:16I'll happily sign somebody for me here but they better be an
- 1:14:19NCAA level game changer for us. Otherwise I got all the
- 1:14:25developmental Thailand I need right now.
- 1:14:28I need people that can come in the door and make some headlines
- 1:14:32right? And They're out there.
- 1:14:33Oh I spend right? But hey if it's not going to
- 1:14:39make a splash I don't need a menu but that's just so you
- 1:14:43spoke to two more peaceful ones priority right and he's
- 1:14:49absolutely right outside and green Treetops and twice.
- 1:14:52Okay, right and all Katie, I don't think you
- 1:15:21understand what kind of, you know, red table talk.
- 1:15:25This could be, you know, just based on your peas.
- 1:15:29I'm telling you, man. Yeah, yeah, this is, this is,
- 1:15:32this is good. This is good stuff.
- 1:15:34I'm writing down stuff. Do you understand?
- 1:15:37Now, back when I speak, I speak about got a long list of these.
- 1:15:41I go, I know it's amazing. P that are great meaningful to
- 1:15:47my to my program. And I saw I think that like when
- 1:15:50you wake the part of the problem I have is that people recruit
- 1:15:56some people because everybody else is recruited, right?
- 1:15:59And that's a mistake. I used to make everybody else
- 1:16:01wants her everybody else wants. He you know them, like he's
- 1:16:04something good but then so now I'm like yeah, we'll be okay.
- 1:16:09Like last year we absolutely got clubbed early on nobody want to
- 1:16:12come here. We got me out, we actually had
- 1:16:14two pretty good recruits in the first.
- 1:16:16Worst part about a mile and around, like, I will be fine.
- 1:16:18We got two, great ones, will be good.
- 1:16:21And then you guys know what happened on that, the going, all
- 1:16:23that book is portal. Unless the young man a young
- 1:17:03lady is, as has been described a game changer, you're better off
- 1:17:08with money than the kid. My Lord, I was relating to right
- 1:17:15there. Yeah.
- 1:17:17Like you're better off with money and because if you have
- 1:17:22money is, there's a lot of kids that will be attracted.
- 1:17:26Right? And I like, I kid I kid
- 1:17:28Solutions about this all the time but the best thing that
- 1:17:30ever happens to him and I'm not going to give it all the way,
- 1:17:33but I'll say this, the best thing ever happens to him is
- 1:17:35when a kid, slow place things, because this is what happens
- 1:17:41that kid is still coming to Florida, but they're just going
- 1:17:45to come to Florida, pay a whole lot more money than they would
- 1:17:47have in the first place because if they decide when he offered
- 1:17:50them, They were at this and as they wait, it goes like this,
- 1:17:56right? And then the kid finally
- 1:17:58realizes the best offer I had was in the first place.
- 1:18:02So you know, take tux tail, call Solutions and says, can I still
- 1:18:06come? He starts laughing with the kid
- 1:18:08on mute and he's like, well that doesn't happen because I think I
- 1:18:13have some listen. I had a kid do this that?
- 1:18:16And the third, I think, you know, I think we have some
- 1:18:19change left. Let me check the link in my
- 1:18:21pocket. We have 23 and a half percent.
- 1:18:26So you listen to that point to that point, let me say this and
- 1:18:30this it's twofold, right? Because all sides of the
- 1:18:35business function off of this, right?
- 1:18:38I've been telling people for ever once the transfer portal
- 1:18:44came and it and it works the way that it works from a coaching
- 1:18:48standpoint, the big mistake that a lot of people are making is
- 1:18:53that they think everybody thinks they can go in the portal and
- 1:18:55get, you know, the guy or get the girl.
- 1:19:00And the truth of the matter is you actually can't You don't
- 1:19:04have the mouthpiece, you don't have the program, you don't have
- 1:19:07the The Glitz and glamour, right?
- 1:19:09If if, if super talented kid X, whose at a mid-major is in the
- 1:19:16portal, you're probably not going to get them to come to the
- 1:19:19mid major. The whole point is they want an
- 1:19:21upgrade yes. Right.
- 1:19:23And if they were already at P5 School, hot hot Brand X, highly
- 1:19:29unlikely that they're going to take a step all the way down to
- 1:19:32whatever. You're so so there's way too
- 1:19:36many coaches thinking they can pull the sir Lucius out of the
- 1:19:40portal you can't and on the flip side there's way too many High
- 1:19:45School coaches high school athletes, High School parents
- 1:19:49that are not paying attention to the fact that the entire
- 1:19:53industry is chasing the portal. So if you have an offer on the
- 1:19:57table, you better pick it up. Yeah, cuz to LaMar's point
- 1:20:04mathematically, week, after week and month, after month, the pie
- 1:20:10is going to get smaller by definition, another P.
- 1:20:23Like this really is a really good because I'm going to say
- 1:20:26this. Here's the, here's the piece of
- 1:20:31the pie that nobody is the truth peace, right?
- 1:20:37That nobody will actually tell the kids or the parents.
- 1:20:42When you hit a big Mark as a junior, you are today's hotness.
- 1:20:48Every week that goes by that your PR is a week older.
- 1:20:53Every week, you go by that, you're still being recruited off
- 1:20:56that PR that PR is worth less. See, because if you run, you run
- 1:21:011172 as a female as a junior in high school, most schools have
- 1:21:06interest in you some level of Interest.
- 1:21:10But by April of your senior year 1172 is just okay.
- 1:21:16Rice is 1172 was a predictor. Isn't like I'm paying in the you
- 1:21:20know, when there was when there were two side impatient right?
- 1:21:23I would pay for that potential. There's another p word.
- 1:21:29I wouldn't bet on that 1172 that it's going to be a level 45 and
- 1:21:33you're going to be the hottest next year when you don't.
- 1:21:35And, and I've already signed you, I gotta eat it and we will
- 1:21:39work it out. But now, So imagine what it must
- 1:21:44be like for that athlete. Okay.
- 1:21:49That puts that timeout, a mid-major is going.
- 1:21:52Whoo. Well the mid Majors thinking,
- 1:21:55all right, if athlete X improves like I think she is You know
- 1:22:04what? I'm going to wait and see.
- 1:22:06So now you're now you're evaluating while this this
- 1:22:12athlete is probably thinking. You know what?
- 1:22:14I probably should have said I'm by now, but no one's biting.
- 1:22:18Why? Why is no one biting right now,
- 1:22:21right? And so that athletes teammate,
- 1:22:27finally figures it out drops 11:5 at the state meet What's
- 1:22:33going to happen at that point, right?
- 1:22:35Like it, these are these are real time real scenarios that
- 1:22:39are playing out. And I feel like, you know, the
- 1:22:42whole reason why I thought this was a valid topic is because
- 1:22:46again, in the past, with early signing with having to wait
- 1:22:52until April to sign someone again, You kind of had to take
- 1:22:58some chances, some major chances in Fall.
- 1:23:03You had to do some major wining and dining all the way up until
- 1:23:09November, right? You had to play the game, right?
- 1:23:13Or even beyond the wining and dining have to do your homework.
- 1:23:17Yeah. Because those one-off numbers
- 1:23:19couldn't be the glitz and glamour.
- 1:23:21It had to be supported. Yes, you did it.
- 1:23:24Then you weren't you were buying sight.
- 1:23:25Unseen. right at the end of the day you know so it's it's it's
- 1:23:31much more fluid in my opinion now and it's I mean you're
- 1:23:37having some really hard conversations with them kids
- 1:23:41that probably feel that they were being slighted or what is
- 1:23:45this coach dragging me along, why why we're not sealing this
- 1:23:49deal now, you know, and there's just more that we have to sift
- 1:23:55through It's no longer just about the high school kid or the
- 1:24:00international Capital, right? And if you can, if you're at the
- 1:24:03mid major and I've always said this, like if there's an 11-7
- 1:24:09athlete that you see potential and you better go all in because
- 1:24:14the moment that child goes in doors around, something, well
- 1:24:17good in the sixth year in the 55, all of a sudden, the P5
- 1:24:21yours Kids, I knew the solutions would want in the spring like
- 1:24:34that would like, you know, I mean, that's the right kid
- 1:24:36because if I get them and I get him to sign before the spring,
- 1:24:40because it happened, like look went when we sign because I
- 1:24:44could talk about it was ours out of school.
- 1:24:46We signed Kurt Felix, nobody knew nobody knew.
- 1:24:50And then he went to the Juco National meet scored 42 points
- 1:24:53by himself. Dennis shaver couple of the
- 1:24:57folks like yo, what's up? Rob lies?
- 1:24:59Like, I've been inside since the fall.
- 1:25:07But that, but that was, that was the game, right?
- 1:25:09But that's the point. That's, that's a whole reason.
- 1:25:10We ask the question now that there's no break when you don't
- 1:25:14get those last-minute Panic, phone calls, either.
- 1:25:16So you miss those days, where are you?
- 1:25:19What you like, you wanted a kid really bad, right?
- 1:25:21It was down to, you know, we all really liked to pick on
- 1:25:24Solutions is down to us and so delicious.
- 1:25:27Right. I already know what's going to
- 1:25:30happen. You're number two or three on
- 1:25:32the list, I'll sort of Lucius is list.
- 1:25:35You're going to get that offer and he never did this.
- 1:25:37That's why I can mess with him. You're going to get that offer.
- 1:25:40If one and two, don't take it but if wanted to do, take it
- 1:25:43now. There's no money left, right?
- 1:25:45Right on Tuesday before signing, period happens on Wednesday, you
- 1:25:49get the phone call. Solutions didn't have my money.
- 1:25:54This is the offer still stand with y'all.
- 1:25:57Why? Well, yes, it does.
- 1:25:59But I did have somebody taking off her blah blah, blah.
- 1:26:03And so now you give them the 10 percent tax Absolutely
- 1:26:08positively happened every year and that's why they're laughing
- 1:26:11because they know the right. There's a there's a case that
- 1:26:15you pay for can't weasel boy. I can't wait to receive I know.
- 1:26:21Well I'll say this though. I think that we're in the
- 1:26:25general scope of things a landscape has changed is with
- 1:26:28social media. The power has gone to, it was
- 1:26:31alluded to earlier, the power has gone to the athletes, the
- 1:26:35recruits to an extent because we see what's going on, right?
- 1:26:41They post all the pictures from the recruit visits.
- 1:26:44We post the conversations at home, visits we post the thanks
- 1:26:48for the calls and so whether they're good bad indifferent.
- 1:26:52It stirs a little bit. Well then your video before one
- 1:26:55who makes it in their top five? No, absolutely.
- 1:26:59And I have a recruit currently funny enough side know who got
- 1:27:03scammed. To make the video and they lost
- 1:27:07money. Wow.
- 1:27:09So there's there's a whole nother underworld on that, but
- 1:27:12it may be Solutions, doesn't see this and rightfully so, but you
- 1:27:16know, the assistant coaches on his staff because you don't do,
- 1:27:18you don't need to do this. That's why I'm saying it,
- 1:27:20because you're sure you don't need to do this.
- 1:27:22Your assistance will see. Well, this person keeps coming
- 1:27:26up on the timeline, do I need to go look at them, right?
- 1:27:30And so like you said earlier, where the athletes who are being
- 1:27:34recruited by 31. For us.
- 1:27:37Assistance, for, like, do we need to put our hat in the ring
- 1:27:40on that? Like do we can we take a step
- 1:27:43back and be okay, not being in that one, where the Optics going
- 1:27:47to look like? What is that coaches on that
- 1:27:49end? Going to say, things of that
- 1:27:51nature. You know what is Administration
- 1:27:53going to say? What are my peers going to say?
- 1:27:56So all of that in regards to the recruiting's.
- 1:27:59Landscaping will appease their peers and post.
- 1:28:01So Right? Has been here and seen the
- 1:28:15machine that is Florida, track and field.
- 1:28:18And I have look, I have the luxury of just like I just go
- 1:28:23coach every day and I have that much support here and that's
- 1:28:26probably the biggest Advantage I have over most of the place
- 1:28:29else. Like, you know, Darryl and
- 1:28:31Ronnie were here and writing made the point is like it's like
- 1:28:34a professional professional football team like come out.
- 1:28:37Actors are my desert thing and they go home and no, that's what
- 1:28:39we do, but at the end of the day, see you are putting things
- 1:28:44into this that shouldn't be there, right?
- 1:28:46In my opinion, like my Administration should not be
- 1:28:49telling me who to recruit nor should it come who I can't
- 1:28:52recruit as long as they meet the grade and they meet the NCAA
- 1:28:55regulations. If I take it up the program,
- 1:28:58then I have the right to recruit the right so I can you just know
- 1:29:02there's no world where you should be looking at a recruit
- 1:29:03cool. Now, I'm of the ministration,
- 1:29:05all like that, right? Because all you want to do was
- 1:29:07Administration or like how many points you score, the end of the
- 1:29:10year, let's that's all that matters P another P points.
- 1:29:15And that's and that's that's also a very specific context,
- 1:29:19right? I tried not to get him battles
- 1:29:23with my administrators, right? That it's just a good business
- 1:29:26practice. Absolutely.
- 1:29:29But I the best practice, right? I promise you, the only true
- 1:29:36great. Up like out loud, hollering
- 1:29:40battle that I ever got into with an administrator, was the summer
- 1:29:46after. I was at Art, you the summer
- 1:29:48after we won two national championships.
- 1:29:50I walked into the office with my proper paperwork for two, young
- 1:29:54ladies, who we were getting ready to, you know, start
- 1:29:58recruiting in my administrator asked me.
- 1:30:01Well, are we sure we want these people and I was like, who are
- 1:30:06you? What are you talking?
- 1:30:08Hmm. Like your job is to sign the
- 1:30:11document. Not ask me if I actually need
- 1:30:13kid XYZ, like that's not how this works.
- 1:30:17So if you're in an environment where your administrators are
- 1:30:20dictating, who you recruit and why that's a little odd to me,
- 1:30:26But you know everybody got their own pipes and problems.
- 1:30:31But I mean if you're in a chair and see if you're in the chair
- 1:30:37you're supposed to be dictating who you recruit and why and
- 1:30:40coming up with your strategy. If you're an assistant, you're
- 1:30:42supposed to be following the lead of the boss.
- 1:30:46If if all of you are taking your p's and q's from the soup.
- 1:30:51It's probably going to end bad backs.
- 1:30:56Well alright that was a good little session there, so that
- 1:31:03was definitely a convention Symposium worthy.
- 1:31:06You're welcome. All you can have your $395 back.
- 1:31:09Now, you know what I'm waiting for?
- 1:31:15I'm waiting for some, somebody to attend the convention, like,
- 1:31:18from beginning to end and then demand a refund of the end
- 1:31:21because all the things that were promised that the convention
- 1:31:24just flat-out didn't happen. Vincent's awesome.
- 1:31:28Don't do that. I said, I'm waiting for somebody
- 1:31:31else to do it, you know, I'm not gonna do it.
- 1:31:33I mean, she don't even pay to go to the convention.
- 1:31:36We talking about. I don't convince we looking
- 1:31:40forward to the Speed game. That's what I'm looking forward
- 1:31:43to. As our as our many.
- 1:31:46I'm sure many of my god listen Clyde.
- 1:31:50Speaking of which we have to get like referee shirts or
- 1:31:52something. Hey, we could do all kind of
- 1:31:55things. We need to To get an online
- 1:31:57registration form. Oh my God.
- 1:31:59I'll make one do Google Docs. Thank you, coach to the are of
- 1:32:13Comedy. I'm going to give it a comedy.
- 1:32:16It's going to be comedic. I'm sure Solutions has stepped
- 1:32:20up to the plate. Do not be the ass.
- 1:32:23That the answer of questions for.
- 1:32:25Would you rather? Rather the Steve Harvey of,
- 1:32:28would you rather? Oh so so here's how this is
- 1:32:33going to work. It's so this is kind of like my
- 1:32:36version of do, you know, right? So we'll start with big league.
- 1:32:41You can give me a number between 1 and 6 for ask you a question
- 1:32:46and if you don't know, then you can ask somebody else on the
- 1:32:49panel. And if you asked the wrong
- 1:32:51person, that can help you, then this is an epic fail on your
- 1:32:54part, I'm sorry. Then Lamar will go back to the.
- 1:33:04All right. There's no way you're getting
- 1:33:08this goddamn deep. Okay, like I'm here for this.
- 1:33:21No, no, that's a off your phones.
- 1:33:26I didn't hands up. Thank you. so, Yeah, I'm good.
- 1:33:46It's a good place to do. I have a decent name or can I
- 1:33:51acceptable acceptable? If you think you can't, you're
- 1:33:59right Rishi rights from SMU. Good.
- 1:34:04Get the governor savings, love it.
- 1:34:14I'm gonna go. See what is the longest
- 1:34:25standing? Men's NCAA.
- 1:34:29Indoor track record. Traditional event not Field
- 1:34:35track. The longest standing NCAA record
- 1:34:46indoors, and on the track on the track.
- 1:34:52I purposely wanted to track because Lamar would have been
- 1:34:55salivating if I went to the field.
- 1:34:57Yeah well I think I have a better idea but is why I didn't
- 1:35:02go there and you're talking many life men and women.
- 1:35:06Let's look for a second. This is just as reading is
- 1:35:09fundamental so it's listen. So let me do this again.
- 1:35:14What is the longest standing men?
- 1:35:17Men's NCAA, indoor track, Rex additional agreements.
- 1:35:23You need a Lifeline because you're not going to get this for
- 1:35:25nobody. Lifeline.
- 1:35:34I'm calling on Lamar. Indoors standards and I so you
- 1:35:46can you can either get the person the school or the event
- 1:35:50and I'll give you to it Wilson. Kid, keter 800.
- 1:36:03Wow, the 800 is Right, 800 is right but it's Paul, Aaron is
- 1:36:09Clara, get excited. Like he was an animal because he
- 1:36:12had on a Virginia one for me. Did 11.1 4480 for indoors?
- 1:36:18Yeah. And the weird part about that
- 1:36:20is, I think you read 5252, if you watch the racing is dead,
- 1:36:23last and 400. MM, okay, we're gonna move once
- 1:36:26he gets this is this is why we can't play trivia with you
- 1:36:29because you just start spewing out.
- 1:36:31You can't do this. Okay, what did I say?
- 1:36:35You guys are too. Lord have mercy.
- 1:36:39Let's give them a break. What you got?
- 1:36:42For me, three and six are gone, Korean 6 DVD anything, anything
- 1:36:47between one and five now because three and six, you're gone 15.
- 1:36:51I will take one 1245. Those are usually short
- 1:36:54something for five. I would take one.
- 1:36:57Okay. All right.
- 1:36:59Who leaves the NCAA in rushing yards?
- 1:37:04Hmm. USC. nope, lifeline I'll take
- 1:37:18two but she don't know. So just tired.
- 1:37:23That was his kids. Chase Brown from Illinois,
- 1:37:27Illinois. Interesting.
- 1:37:29I didn't even go to the new left, right?
- 1:37:32Okay, so now we're the lion is up to four or five star.
- 1:37:42I'll take number two, Derek. Okay.
- 1:37:45Oh yeah. Well to you, you don't get this
- 1:37:48one. Will you so on this one?
- 1:37:51Okay, so who holds the women's 4 by 4 Collegiate record indoors
- 1:38:01and who were the ladies on the team?
- 1:38:12Oh, it's so this is a half and half.
- 1:38:15Women's Collegiate record indoors.
- 1:38:31Kentucky, and you are wrong. I can't remember.
- 1:38:35I remember the race, but I care one is for sure.
- 1:38:41I'm going to use the governor for this book.
- 1:38:44Dominic. And will endure, right?
- 1:38:55Yeah. Well by for women, I just picked
- 1:39:02the wrong team. Is it taxes?
- 1:39:14Is it Arkansas? Its Arkansas, right?
- 1:39:17It's a, it's Arkansas. Okay.
- 1:39:44Never mind. That's the one.
- 1:39:47I was, that's what I was trying to remember the gala Hollis to
- 1:39:50Schiff week. Well, Mahoney, we call her Fee.
- 1:39:52Fie for shame. Yeah.
- 1:39:55The bring Wilson which happened. Last you hadn't happened last
- 1:39:59year. Left side.
- 1:39:59Remember the race? Yeah.
- 1:40:01Okay. Alright, so now we're back to
- 1:40:04big leagues, four or five. Okay.
- 1:40:10What is the longest-standing women's Is NCAA track outdoor
- 1:40:17track record traditional vents. So you can give me the you can
- 1:40:25give me the event or the person. Hmm.
- 1:40:43Or Turtles. Come on now cities.
- 1:40:47Like course. Like they're like 20 seconds
- 1:40:50ago. No, but she did she did you say
- 1:41:05Fine. Why he said running, he's asking
- 1:41:12us. So clearly it ain't a Sprint or
- 1:41:14a hurdle event because he's trying to be funny.
- 1:41:20Or I can say, I do too. Hmm.
- 1:41:35I want to say it's probably wrong.
- 1:41:38I'ma say 1500, I can't damn it. I was gonna put.
- 1:41:44That was my name is so okay. So that I was like is Jenny old
- 1:41:54enough for that to be the answer.
- 1:41:55I would like to just tell you how the spirits have been
- 1:41:58getting attacked so you know where he couldn't be date on it,
- 1:42:01because mismo was just there. Oh yeah, yeah.
- 1:42:05So all we have left is number 42, the governor.
- 1:42:10Now and the governor who leads the NFL in punt, return yards,
- 1:42:21No reason. He should know that or anyone
- 1:42:23else, which is why I asked Cowboys no life.
- 1:42:34Like that's who I thought it was.
- 1:42:36So don't ask me. I'm gonna throw it to throw it
- 1:42:45to Clyde. I wasn't suggesting that I know
- 1:42:49it but I don't return yards. So a team with a defense that
- 1:42:59forces, a lot of punts Patriots are buffalo.
- 1:43:11And we will be wrong on both cases, it's actually mr.
- 1:43:15Darden from Tampa Bay a very okay, that makes sense.
- 1:43:22They've had to do you guys were 24, 2016, 2 4 6, K self lines
- 1:43:31with Lifeline. So here's one that if you don't
- 1:43:33get this one then you're going to kick off the show.
- 1:43:37So this one goes to the panel right named the Eating backfield
- 1:43:42for the Pony Express. Dickerson.
- 1:43:46And hey Craig, what's his first name?
- 1:43:52His last name is Craig. Yeah, I came up because you're
- 1:43:56getting kicked off the show. What do you mean the white,
- 1:43:59dude? 33 last name inquiry.
- 1:44:02His first name Craig. Just try to help you master it
- 1:44:07in there, so it's kind of dang it.
- 1:44:11Are we all getting kicked off the show room?
- 1:44:12I'm going to be doing a show about myself that's with to me
- 1:44:14and you I can't because I clearly have it correct.
- 1:44:19You got the white one. His last name is James.
- 1:44:42Yeah, there you go. Everybody can be on the show
- 1:44:50next week and we're done. If you guys like my version of,
- 1:44:56would you rather do you know? Yes, I know nothing.
- 1:45:12No, I did not do Harvey pops this week.
- 1:45:22That is totally fun. Well, without any further Ado.
- 1:45:26Wait, wait, wait, I just want to know because I forgot about
- 1:45:30this. I had to ask the king of all
- 1:45:32petty, how he feels about Elon Musk charging, 1995 a month for
- 1:45:41people that have their blue checks.
- 1:45:43How it went up? It was $8 last night, what are
- 1:45:47they? It was fun.
- 1:45:53Listen. Whatever.
- 1:46:14I don't live in the first world problems of the blue, check
- 1:46:17status. So Paying people to love verify
- 1:46:22that they are who they are and they've already been verified.
- 1:46:24As very, very interesting is wild, right?
- 1:46:27But then people will pay it. And hey, how's it going?
- 1:46:35America loves honey. Well, anyhow.
- 1:46:41Thank you all for taking the time to sit with us.
- 1:46:45Learn from us. Yell at us through your screens.
- 1:46:48And there's definitely Yeah, I guess you laughing moments
- 1:46:52within the audience right now, I can definitely.
- 1:46:54I know we're getting messages and calls after this one.
- 1:46:56So everyone have a great week. I'm a phenomenal time.
- 1:47:02Finishing up your weeks as we get into the think the Break
- 1:47:06season. It's called The Break season but
- 1:47:08we'll see you all again next week.
- 1:47:10See everyone. What the last comment on the
- 1:47:14boats? Get to running with the lights?
- 1:47:16Come on. Wouldn't be here, but we have to
- 1:47:44stop learning. You gotta understand.
- 1:47:46Rapes gotta catch sauce. Show you how to fight for, show
- 1:47:50us who you are, you lack experience.
- 1:47:52But still you want to talk and who is that you talk to you,
- 1:47:55certain kind of small heads prevail when the backbone
- 1:47:58strong, gotta keep it coming up, won't last long Pastor Phil this
- 1:48:03cell the session and if you don't check yourself and that's
- 1:48:06wrong, just trying to give you the rich asshole.
- 1:48:09So why do you keep cutting us off to a small?
- 1:48:12We put it. In slow-mo.
- 1:48:14What you fast for the task force?
- 1:48:13In slow-mo. What you fast for the task
- 1:48:17force?
