- 2:29Speaker 2: been that shit. Man, this helped me. Record is going nuts. Man,
- 2:36Speaker 2: it's been dope to see you catch one like this.
- 2:38Speaker 2: How does it feel to like really catch like a
- 2:39Speaker 2: radio record? You're getting a fucking car and like the
- 2:41Speaker 2: songs on and.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Ship man feel good? Motivate me to do do belly?
- 2:45Speaker 3: You know what I'm saying?
- 2:46Speaker 2: Yeah, right, one hundred percent? Uh?
- 2:49Speaker 3: For you?
- 2:49Speaker 2: Is it like because you've been grinding for like I
- 2:52Speaker 2: feel like it's a few years now. When did you
- 2:54Speaker 2: originally sign with free bands? Like twenty two or twenty
- 2:58Speaker 2: twenty one? Yeah?
- 3:02Speaker 3: Yeah, about two.
- 3:03Speaker 2: Yeah, it's been it's been a journey for you. Man.
- 3:04Speaker 2: What's what how are feeling right now with this new
- 3:06Speaker 2: project coming out?
- 3:07Speaker 1: When I feel good? Because I ain't. I really just
- 3:09Speaker 1: been working this project. Really, I've really been working with
- 3:11Speaker 1: working on for over a year for Richie rich Yeah,
- 3:14Speaker 1: I've been open working runs for over a years. So
- 3:16Speaker 1: like it don't got the everything in me in this
- 3:19Speaker 1: project right here.
- 3:20Speaker 2: How many songs did you choose from for the album?
- 3:22Speaker 2: Where you were like, yo, these like is it like
- 3:24Speaker 2: thirty or forty records?
- 3:25Speaker 1: I really had like thirty thirty five, so you just
- 3:27Speaker 1: had to narrow it down.
- 3:28Speaker 3: And narrow it now.
- 3:29Speaker 1: Probably was more than that though, Like that's what took
- 3:31Speaker 1: so long to draw the album though, because we don't
- 3:33Speaker 1: have so many songs like we were choosing from.
- 3:35Speaker 2: Yeah, how how old is the Glow record? Like did
- 3:39Speaker 2: you how long have you had?
- 3:40Speaker 3: That?
- 3:40Speaker 2: Verse from her?
- 3:41Speaker 1: That was actually like I was a pretty pretty new one.
- 3:43Speaker 1: I mean I had made it and then she probably
- 3:46Speaker 1: when I made it, I made it?
- 3:47Speaker 3: What this year?
- 3:48Speaker 2: That was?
- 3:48Speaker 1: This year I made it this year? She probably got
- 3:50Speaker 1: them it like two months after I made it, Yeah,
- 3:53Speaker 1: about two months some of that mrgic.
- 3:55Speaker 2: Yeah, talking about the Memphis catch, the way they say
- 3:58Speaker 2: music is just hilarious to me. Yeah. Yeah, anyway, Uh,
- 4:02Speaker 2: so are you still in Tallahassee where you at? Are
- 4:04Speaker 2: you moving around or do you move out?
- 4:05Speaker 3: All right now I'm in taste. Yeah.
- 4:07Speaker 2: What is the football? Is it Florida State?
- 4:09Speaker 3: Yeah? You got Florida State? N fam you?
- 4:11Speaker 2: So you're like, are you a NOS person? Are you
- 4:14Speaker 2: a fam you person?
- 4:15Speaker 1: I really, I really just hold up a win like
- 4:18Speaker 1: I like I've been on whoever I know gona win.
- 4:20Speaker 3: I ain't really too big on.
- 4:21Speaker 2: I feel like, uh, because you guys are supposed to
- 4:23Speaker 2: hate the Florida Gators, right, yeah, Like do you like
- 4:27Speaker 2: have you been to like like what do they call
- 4:30Speaker 2: it when they're they're in the parking lot grilling and
- 4:32Speaker 2: ship like tailgate tailgate? Have you tilgated at a Florida
- 4:36Speaker 2: Seminole game yet?
- 4:37Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, I was right in the city.
- 4:39Speaker 1: That's like over the like where I be at, so
- 4:41Speaker 1: I'll be all of it through the Yeah, yeah, I
- 4:43Speaker 1: get crazy over there.
- 4:44Speaker 2: Another famous person from Tallahassee T Pain. Have you linked
- 4:48Speaker 2: with T Pain?
- 4:48Speaker 3: Yeah? I met man T Paint from the same hood.
- 4:51Speaker 3: Wow from road? Yeah yo, you.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Remember that song by the nappy Heads Robbery?
- 4:55Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 4:56Speaker 2: Come on. That's a fucking class T Pain major. Everybody
- 5:00Speaker 2: like this shooting and don't you oh man, that's a
- 5:03Speaker 2: Florida lash. Who else from Talahassee is little Tyler from there?
- 5:07Speaker 3: Yeah? Lit Tyler for tallass up.
- 5:10Speaker 2: Y'all got a little movie going right now.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Yeah, that's about the only me him.
- 5:14Speaker 2: T Pain, I mean T Pain is one of the
- 5:16Speaker 2: greats of all time.
- 5:17Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure, most definitely that you gotta.
- 5:19Speaker 2: Get him on a record, mand just for the real Yeah,
- 5:22Speaker 2: he's got to be dope for sure. Was there anybody
- 5:25Speaker 2: on this album that you were almost supposed to work
- 5:27Speaker 2: with it just didn't quite happen because you got to
- 5:28Speaker 2: turn it in.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Or it was ship man? Really man, I don't.
- 5:32Speaker 1: I don't really work with a lot of people, but
- 5:34Speaker 1: like this album was like kind of like most special
- 5:36Speaker 1: to me because like I really like my songs that
- 5:40Speaker 1: I got in that everybody was room for, end I
- 5:42Speaker 1: was room for kind of outweigh an the feature you know.
- 5:44Speaker 2: What I'm saying, fire, I mean help me is all
- 5:46Speaker 2: just you.
- 5:46Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah.
- 5:47Speaker 1: So it's like this album I really worked on through
- 5:50Speaker 1: a year and more, like you know what I'm saying,
- 5:52Speaker 1: So like this is my months and months and months
- 5:55Speaker 1: seeing like one taking those shows. One't doing nothing, like
- 6:00Speaker 1: I'm making no money just in the studio every day, right, Like,
- 6:03Speaker 1: So this is one of them type.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Of projects something that you obviously some of your one
- 6:09Speaker 2: of your biggest records is with Dirk and Dirk obviously
- 6:11Speaker 2: just got caught up terrible situation. How's your relationship been
- 6:18Speaker 2: with Dirk and like, what are your thoughtss on that situation.
- 6:20Speaker 2: It's a crazy, crazy time in hip.
- 6:21Speaker 1: Hop, r man, it's just people wearing wires and ship
- 6:23Speaker 1: I don't know, it just be crazy situation when some
- 6:25Speaker 1: people got good stuff going on and like stuff like
- 6:28Speaker 1: that happening famous just be fucked up for.
- 6:31Speaker 2: But then young Thug got out, so that's.
- 6:32Speaker 3: You know, Yeah, it's a blessing.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Yeah for sure, before you you before Thug went in.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Did you ever meet him, because.
- 6:39Speaker 3: No, no, I ain't ever meet him before.
- 6:41Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I actually seen him on FaceTime though it
- 6:44Speaker 1: was like I think what it was I remember I
- 6:47Speaker 1: think was soon at Pushing p. Yes, yeah, yeah, I
- 6:50Speaker 1: seen him on FaceTime. That's the only time I ever
- 6:53Speaker 1: seen him.
- 6:53Speaker 2: That's crazy. Yeah, shout out to thug man. I can't
- 6:55Speaker 2: wait to hear what the new music sounds like?
- 6:57Speaker 3: Sure?
- 6:59Speaker 2: How many many people confuse you not being from Boston?
- 7:03Speaker 2: Everybody like, people, you're you're from Boston?
- 7:06Speaker 3: Right?
- 7:07Speaker 1: When I go out of Florida, everybody like when I
- 7:09Speaker 1: go out a different when I go when I ain't
- 7:11Speaker 1: a Florida they you ain't even from Boston or you're
- 7:13Speaker 1: from all They be like, you're from Boston. I be
- 7:15Speaker 1: like nah, they be like, well all your name in Boston.
- 7:17Speaker 1: Ship like that though a lot of people do it
- 7:19Speaker 1: though outside of Florida.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Have you done a show in Boston? Nah?
- 7:22Speaker 1: We had one, but what happened? We got canceled or
- 7:25Speaker 1: something like that. Oh yeah, yeah, we would shooting. We
- 7:29Speaker 1: had to show. It was homecoming in our city, but
- 7:31Speaker 1: I had to cancel it because I had shot the
- 7:33Speaker 1: type with y TV fan in my city.
- 7:35Speaker 3: Of that day, so they was cool with it.
- 7:37Speaker 2: That's on your album, right.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Yeah, that's on my album too.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Yeah, you got a little yachty on the project.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I got yachty on not too.
- 7:42Speaker 2: What was it like working with YACHTI Man.
- 7:44Speaker 1: It's kind of amazing because like he brought me kind
- 7:47Speaker 1: of into a world that I wasn't in, you know,
- 7:48Speaker 1: what I'm saying. So I had to like switch my
- 7:51Speaker 1: swag up a little bit to get on top of
- 7:53Speaker 1: music with him real, So it was a good experience.
- 7:56Speaker 2: Was that a record that like you brought to him
- 7:58Speaker 2: or did he bring it to you? How did that happen?
- 8:00Speaker 3: I kind of like shil just some were just both
- 8:01Speaker 3: made in the studio.
- 8:02Speaker 2: You guys are just hanging out in the studio.
- 8:04Speaker 1: Listening to beats and we're like, oh, yeah, this is
- 8:06Speaker 1: the one right here, let's do this one. We actually
- 8:09Speaker 1: did probably like seven songs for you, and so we
- 8:11Speaker 1: got about like seven songs.
- 8:13Speaker 2: What was his writing process? Like, is he like ship
- 8:16Speaker 2: punching in?
- 8:16Speaker 3: I know when I was in the student I ain't
- 8:18Speaker 3: see him right he punching in?
- 8:19Speaker 2: Like is that how you do it? You do it too, though, Yeah,
- 8:22Speaker 2: it's crazy, Like y'all's whole generational artists. I feel like
- 8:24Speaker 2: anybody under thirty don't write shit. Y'all just be in there,
- 8:27Speaker 2: like I don't think I never come in the line
- 8:29Speaker 2: punching in and go to the next one. And then
- 8:30Speaker 2: the engineer got to be super quick or.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Y'all going to yell at him, no show, See how
- 8:35Speaker 1: my engineer is it kind of forced me to work
- 8:37Speaker 1: like that.
- 8:37Speaker 2: That punching ship. I feel be feeling bad. The engineers
- 8:40Speaker 2: be so stressed out. All right, take me back, take
- 8:43Speaker 2: me back, Take me back. I'd be like, fuck, you
- 8:46Speaker 2: never wrote no ship down, like when you were like, yo,
- 8:48Speaker 2: I got this crazy verse. I gotta write, uh never
- 8:50Speaker 2: do know something.
- 8:51Speaker 1: But I mean I don't have like five five beats
- 8:54Speaker 1: go down on this too, like in the car all
- 8:56Speaker 1: day and I'll just be like vibing in to us.
- 8:58Speaker 3: So when I going, I know it a vibe, I
- 9:00Speaker 3: want to go in on it.
- 9:01Speaker 1: But as far as like gett appening and pat and
- 9:03Speaker 1: just writing something on the beat, I never did it before.
- 9:06Speaker 1: And I'm kind of like punching in more because it's
- 9:08Speaker 1: like it keeps my energy up. And sometimes I might
- 9:11Speaker 1: say something that was hard and I'd be like, damn,
- 9:14Speaker 1: my mind working fast, and them like.
- 9:16Speaker 2: That's the thing. I feel like, when you write it down,
- 9:18Speaker 2: you can remember that ship. Like let's say you're in
- 9:19Speaker 2: the middle of like you're laying down and something comes
- 9:21Speaker 2: to you.
- 9:21Speaker 1: It's like it's like that and he recorded so noock
- 9:24Speaker 1: and here I can go back and fix it and
- 9:26Speaker 1: swag it up a little bit most so whatever I
- 9:28Speaker 1: like me personally.
- 9:29Speaker 2: Was harder to learn your lyrics that way then yeah.
- 9:31Speaker 3: Yeah, but if you listen to the song a lot,
- 9:33Speaker 3: you know, it just come to you naturally.
- 9:34Speaker 2: I saw on your album you have a song called
- 9:36Speaker 2: Base God.
- 9:37Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Do you know about Little B?
- 9:39Speaker 3: Yeah? I know about the Based God yeah from the
- 9:42Speaker 3: Bay Area.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Yeah, so your hip to the Based God?
- 9:45Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 9:46Speaker 2: What do you know about Little B? Though?
- 9:47Speaker 3: To be I just know I to like listen to
- 9:49Speaker 3: his music.
- 9:50Speaker 2: You remember he used to do the dance, the cooking,
- 9:52Speaker 2: the swag. Yeah, yeah, you remember that song Ellen Degenerous
- 9:55Speaker 2: did that hitting Florida some real fucking it was like
- 10:00Speaker 2: that was like early Internet.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Yeah no, I probably hear that. Man, Who did you grow.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Up getting like influenced by like being in townhassee?
- 10:06Speaker 3: Who are you listening to this ship? Man?
- 10:10Speaker 1: I ain't a lot, Like I know growing up my
- 10:12Speaker 1: cousin had my influence on music, Like he's at me
- 10:15Speaker 1: listening to you Reach homeie, like, but like if I
- 10:19Speaker 1: was talking about my younger end of the days like
- 10:21Speaker 1: which told me you got flies like people like that.
- 10:23Speaker 1: You know that song that blies, That's what I was
- 10:28Speaker 1: bumping do.
- 10:28Speaker 3: When I was a child, I was.
- 10:29Speaker 2: Telling because I lived in Florida for a few years,
- 10:31Speaker 2: and yeah, especially I was in Tampa, which is obviously
- 10:34Speaker 2: probably like what four hours from you five hours?
- 10:36Speaker 3: Yeah, by four Uh.
- 10:38Speaker 2: But you go to the club in Florida, and I'm
- 10:41Speaker 2: talking about Miami, Miami, take Miami out.
- 10:43Speaker 3: Yeah see see you like, but you.
- 10:45Speaker 2: Go to like the County, you go to Tampa, you
- 10:48Speaker 2: go to I mean the club. You'll hear ship in
- 10:50Speaker 2: the club that you won't.
- 10:51Speaker 3: Hear anywhere and nowhere, right.
- 10:53Speaker 2: And like the fucking Nappyhead song Robbery, you play that
- 10:57Speaker 2: ship in Tampa, but you know the whole the oh
- 11:00Speaker 2: you just it's crazy and that songs like twenty five years.
- 11:03Speaker 3: Old and they're gonna be joking too though.
- 11:05Speaker 2: Applies like Plies got fucking classic.
- 11:07Speaker 1: Yeah, especially in Florida though, Like you can't tell nobody
- 11:10Speaker 1: know about Aplies.
- 11:11Speaker 2: You saw he uh he had the perms and then
- 11:13Speaker 2: he took him out and he's got the Yeah, he
- 11:15Speaker 2: got ers.
- 11:16Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:16Speaker 2: Do you think you'll get to the point where you're like,
- 11:19Speaker 2: I'm tired of these fucking diamonds.
- 11:20Speaker 1: Though, Yeah, in a couple of years. Right now, I
- 11:22Speaker 1: just kind of like when to keep my my my
- 11:24Speaker 1: like young Nigga, sweat type vibue, toothpaste nah na na,
- 11:31Speaker 1: which brand do you use for It's like the Coldgate
- 11:33Speaker 1: with the Colgate.
- 11:34Speaker 2: I don't know if they you know, they got the
- 11:35Speaker 2: charcoal ship they.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Got No, I don't use that before. Really like it though.
- 11:39Speaker 2: I just feel like everybody, all the ogs who had
- 11:41Speaker 2: the perms, Yeah, Birdman got veneers.
- 11:44Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah they're not right now though. Yeah, I ain't
- 11:47Speaker 3: funk with right now.
- 11:48Speaker 2: One day? Man, what for you? Man? Like? Uh talk
- 11:51Speaker 2: about just like one you've had, like this interesting journey
- 11:56Speaker 2: your career because you've like the Internet is made up
- 11:59Speaker 2: narratives about you and whether or not, like you know, uh,
- 12:05Speaker 2: they've affected your trajectory and your career or not. But
- 12:07Speaker 2: I feel like it's been dope to just see you
- 12:09Speaker 2: kind of just keep working and like catch this record
- 12:11Speaker 2: for you. Was there ever a point in time in
- 12:13Speaker 2: the last couple of years where you just kind of
- 12:14Speaker 2: felt like the industry was against you where you kind
- 12:16Speaker 2: of felt like, man, fuck this ship?
- 12:18Speaker 1: Yeah yeah, like shit, I'm just like natural feelings, like
- 12:20Speaker 1: I don't I don't felt that before. Like, wow, I've
- 12:22Speaker 1: been like, man, fuck all this ship. But it's like
- 12:25Speaker 1: shit me quiting, me giving up on something that I
- 12:28Speaker 1: love to do, and that that that don't better me
- 12:30Speaker 1: is like it ain't doing nothing me, Like I don't
- 12:33Speaker 1: get nowhere by quitting, you know what I'm saying. But
- 12:35Speaker 1: I do get every I get everything I need by
- 12:39Speaker 1: by going through something persevering, like and winning through the situation,
- 12:42Speaker 1: you know what I'm saying. So that's why I win
- 12:44Speaker 1: that we like never quitting and never showing nobody, those
- 12:47Speaker 1: signs are slowing up, you know what I'm saying.
- 12:49Speaker 2: Is it hard like to like try to ignore the internet?
- 12:52Speaker 1: I mean, after you learned, you learn at first it
- 12:55Speaker 1: was but nah, I don't learn the game, like and
- 12:57Speaker 1: it ain't really none to me, Like I can't let
- 12:59Speaker 1: no but I don't know, like make me feel mad
- 13:02Speaker 1: by something they don't know about, you know what I'm saying?
- 13:04Speaker 2: One hundred percent? Man Right, what's your favorite song on
- 13:06Speaker 2: the album?
- 13:08Speaker 3: Damn Man.
