- 0:08Speaker 1: Advice Shove never Welcome through the Naughty, Bad Night Show.
- 0:18Speaker 1: I'm your host from showing time. It's Thursday, which means
- 0:21Speaker 1: our dear friend Mark Looper joins us, Hey, Loopie, are
- 0:23Speaker 1: you there? Louby Leui is here? Believe I know you're
- 0:27Speaker 1: there because we were just gossiping before I hit record.
- 0:32Speaker 1: Can't help that sounds do I see you? We don't
- 0:37Speaker 1: even say hello, We're straight into the gossip. Mark, I'm
- 0:40Speaker 1: so comfortable when I when we see each other rediscored
- 0:43Speaker 1: right into it. When you walk into Bottos before your
- 0:45Speaker 1: bottom even hits the chair, I'm like, you're not going
- 0:48Speaker 1: to believe it, and then start and then four hours
- 0:51Speaker 1: later where you roll out, which is really what this
- 0:53Speaker 1: podcast is based on. It's a shorter version and a
- 0:57Speaker 1: less alcohol fuel like gossip. And I think that's part
- 1:01Speaker 1: of the success of it is that everybody on this
- 1:03Speaker 1: show is an entertainment reporter, gossip columnists, works in the business.
- 1:06Speaker 1: We know this stuff, and so I think, unlike other
- 1:09Speaker 1: shoes who have the beautiful hosts, we are beautiful, but
- 1:13Speaker 1: have the beautiful hosts who are not really gossip entertainment
- 1:18Speaker 1: reporters insiders, we are. We do this for a living
- 1:22Speaker 1: every single day and we love doing it with you. Hey,
- 1:25Speaker 1: what time is it, my friends? It is tea time.
- 1:29Speaker 1: So we've got a big breaking story at the top
- 1:30Speaker 1: of the show. Late last night, Jesse Smellette was released
- 1:34Speaker 1: from jail during an appeal, So he's officially already out
- 1:39Speaker 1: of jail, following a decision earlier by the accurt to
- 1:44Speaker 1: cut short his hundred and fifty day sentence pending appeal.
- 1:49Speaker 1: So a lot of people think he's out, he's innocent,
- 1:52Speaker 1: it was a mistake. That's not true. Mark. What's happened
- 1:54Speaker 1: here is that his appeal is going to move forward,
- 1:58Speaker 1: and they decided while appeal moved forward, he would be
- 2:03Speaker 1: let out on bonds, So we had to pay a
- 2:05Speaker 1: hundred and fifty thousand dollars. He actually hasn't had to
- 2:09Speaker 1: dig into his pockets yet, but if he skips any
- 2:12Speaker 1: court dates, he's going to have to pay that. Also.
- 2:15Speaker 1: On his way out of court, he didn't speak. He
- 2:18Speaker 1: spoke a lot when he went to remember that I'm
- 2:21Speaker 1: not suicide at all, so he spoke a lot walking in.
- 2:24Speaker 1: On the way out, he didn't say anything, but his
- 2:27Speaker 1: attorney did speak, saying he had just survived on water,
- 2:31Speaker 1: just water for six days. He looked a little, a
- 2:34Speaker 1: little frail. Now he's moving forward with this appeal. It's tricky, Mark,
- 2:39Speaker 1: because we've seen all the evidence. We've seen this trial.
- 2:42Speaker 1: There's a ton of evidence. Maybe there's a technicality, maybe
- 2:46Speaker 1: that will happen, But I think the public are always
- 2:48Speaker 1: going to think he's guilty. He was once convicted, he's out,
- 2:52Speaker 1: now he's appealing it. I would have argued, I think
- 2:55Speaker 1: it would have been better for his career to just
- 2:57Speaker 1: stay there for five months. Don't do this again. And
- 3:00Speaker 1: it's almost like ripping a band age off, off off
- 3:03Speaker 1: a wound. I would have stayed in jail for five months,
- 3:06Speaker 1: come out, said I'm sorry, and try to bounce back.
- 3:10Speaker 1: But he's fighting this Mark, he's still fighting. What do
- 3:13Speaker 1: you think? I think I totally agree. I think that
- 3:16Speaker 1: I would have stayed there as well and just let
- 3:18Speaker 1: this be uh And I think in a lot of
- 3:20Speaker 1: ways now it's still unsettled for him. He still has
- 3:22Speaker 1: to fight more and more and more cases and more
- 3:24Speaker 1: court appearances, and it's just the never ending thing. And
- 3:27Speaker 1: I think, to your point, his career it feels over,
- 3:30Speaker 1: it feels done. It does feel done. Doesn't It also
- 3:33Speaker 1: too having to go through another trial. It's not smart
- 3:36Speaker 1: because we're all going to see the evidence a day
- 3:39Speaker 1: and even more people are going to watch because this
- 3:41Speaker 1: story keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger and bigger.
- 3:44Speaker 1: There's going to be a lot more drama in the courtroom. Hey, Mark,
- 3:49Speaker 1: you saw just see before he went to jail. You
- 3:52Speaker 1: were invited to a little party in New York. You know,
- 3:58Speaker 1: I will say this. You know, Jesse is a lovely man.
- 4:00Speaker 1: I I went to his birthday party last summer and
- 4:02Speaker 1: in June. It was a small event, and I can
- 4:05Speaker 1: tell you this, he's a lot of supporters still in
- 4:07Speaker 1: his in his circle, a lot of people in Hollywood
- 4:09Speaker 1: still support him. Um. He was perfectly fine and lovely
- 4:12Speaker 1: and sweet. And it's sad because you could tell that,
- 4:15Speaker 1: like the judge said and other people have said, there
- 4:17Speaker 1: is a really sweet side to him. Um. And I
- 4:19Speaker 1: could see that. And I've met him at other events
- 4:22Speaker 1: and I've worked with him in the past. But I
- 4:24Speaker 1: think he made a mistake. I think he really messed up.
- 4:27Speaker 1: And it's hard for me to, you know, move on
- 4:29Speaker 1: from this when he hasn't admitted guilt. Yeah, I can
- 4:33Speaker 1: move on. I can, and I think Americans really can.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Americans are fantastic at forgiving people. When a celebrity messes up,
- 4:41Speaker 1: American often gives them another chance. If they pay their price,
- 4:47Speaker 1: they do the time, and you've got to say sorry.
- 4:51Speaker 1: And I don't think he thinks he did anything wrong.
- 4:53Speaker 1: I really believe in his heart he thinks he's innocent.
- 4:57Speaker 1: And he believes this in despite all the evidence, all
- 5:01Speaker 1: the evidence, he does not believe it. He thinks he's innocent,
- 5:05Speaker 1: and so he's going to really fight for it. I
- 5:07Speaker 1: think it's a terrible mistake. And I think he is
- 5:09Speaker 1: going to get convicted again, and then he's going to
- 5:11Speaker 1: have to start all over again. And you know this,
- 5:14Speaker 1: five months could have already been done. It could have
- 5:16Speaker 1: been oval with. I don't quite understand it, but will
- 5:20Speaker 1: keep you in the loop. A Moving along to what
- 5:22Speaker 1: was going to be a lead story, Britney spears wants
- 5:26Speaker 1: to be feared because being nice got her taken advantage of.
- 5:30Speaker 1: So would you rather be feared or loved? Brittney is
- 5:33Speaker 1: making very very clear which she would pick. She said
- 5:36Speaker 1: the following quote, don't ever pity me. I don't want
- 5:39Speaker 1: to be loved, and I want to be feared. Being
- 5:41Speaker 1: loved and being nice got me taken advantage of. So
- 5:44Speaker 1: take your pity and go f yourselves being kind kind Mark.
- 5:51Speaker 1: Would you rather be feared or love? Oh? I think
- 5:56Speaker 1: I want to be loved. You people love to It
- 6:03Speaker 1: might surprise some people. I don't want to be feared.
- 6:06Speaker 1: Although Brittany certainly goodness gracious, after thirteen years in a conservatorship,
- 6:12Speaker 1: I can understand why she wants to make changes. I'm
- 6:15Speaker 1: sure she's still really really angry about this. And then, interestingly,
- 6:19Speaker 1: we broke this story. First, Brittany has deactivated her Instagram account.
- 6:23Speaker 1: We told you she was going to do this. So
- 6:25Speaker 1: Brittany has sold a fifteen million dollar book. When you
- 6:28Speaker 1: write a book, you're gonna put all this in the book.
- 6:31Speaker 1: So publisher was like, shut up, stop giving it away
- 6:34Speaker 1: for free. So I think the two are connected. The
- 6:36Speaker 1: minute she signs the book deal. Now she's off Instagram.
- 6:40Speaker 1: They're not going to pay you, Brittany, if you give
- 6:42Speaker 1: all your secrets away for free, why am I paying
- 6:45Speaker 1: your fifteen million dollars. I loved her on Instagram because
- 6:47Speaker 1: she told us everything. Now we're going to have to
- 6:49Speaker 1: buy the book, which brings us to our whole question
- 6:51Speaker 1: of the day. Britney spears would rather be feared because
- 6:55Speaker 1: being nice got her taken advantage? Job? Would you rather
- 7:00Speaker 1: be feared? Oh? Lovely? Know what Mark wants? What you
- 7:04Speaker 1: want on at the page at naughty Nice Rob? But
- 7:07Speaker 1: facebook page is not NBC. To check back tomorrow to
- 7:10Speaker 1: hear your results, Loopy, what are you working on? Oh?
- 7:14Speaker 1: I gotta go one for you, Rob. Trevor Noah is
- 7:17Speaker 1: frightened of Kanye West's behavior towards his ex Kim Kardashian.
- 7:22Speaker 1: So Trevor Rob, I didn't know this, but he apparently
- 7:25Speaker 1: grew up in an abuse with home, and so he
- 7:28Speaker 1: spoke out and said that the broader implications of Kanye
- 7:31Speaker 1: fighting with his ex Kim and her new boyfriend Pete
- 7:34Speaker 1: Davidson is really frightening. He said, quote over time Kanye
- 7:38Speaker 1: has become more and more belligerent, and how he tries
- 7:40Speaker 1: to get Kim back. He noted that Kim Kardashian, while
- 7:44Speaker 1: she might love publicity, and she might love the celebrity
- 7:46Speaker 1: and all this, he said thost things can be true,
- 7:49Speaker 1: but he sees a woman who wants to live her
- 7:51Speaker 1: life without being harassed by his ex husband. Yes, yeah, yeah,
- 7:56Speaker 1: what do you think, Rob? I think he's really hit
- 7:59Speaker 1: the nail on the head here. So a lot of
- 8:01Speaker 1: us can excuse bad behavior when the person is directed
- 8:05Speaker 1: towards we don't necessarily adore. And Kim's controversial, so a
- 8:10Speaker 1: lot of people are here are saying, she's rich's famous,
- 8:12Speaker 1: she likes all this attention, and Trevor Noah is saying,
- 8:16Speaker 1: you know what, maybe she does, and that's fine too,
- 8:18Speaker 1: But you can be both. You can be harassed and
- 8:20Speaker 1: somebody that likes the spotlight. And the fact that he
- 8:24Speaker 1: grew up in a really abusive home really really reflects
- 8:28Speaker 1: everything that he is saying here. He said, if Kim
- 8:31Speaker 1: cannot escape this, then how can a normal woman have
- 8:35Speaker 1: any chance? Now, Kanye did respond by posting a racial slur.
- 8:39Speaker 1: We're not going to go into it. We should also
- 8:41Speaker 1: point out to that he has now been put on
- 8:44Speaker 1: a hole suspended from Instagram for twenty four hours. Twenty
- 8:48Speaker 1: four hours. A spokesperson said that Kanye's comments violated the
- 8:53Speaker 1: company's policies on hate speech and bullying and harassment. This
- 8:57Speaker 1: is really really tricky, Mark, because I think we all
- 8:59Speaker 1: know Kanye is going through something here, and he is
- 9:02Speaker 1: expressing it in the most ugly, ugly way. I think
- 9:05Speaker 1: if anybody else had done this, we would have all
- 9:07Speaker 1: walked away. I'm glad that Instagram has stepped in here.
- 9:10Speaker 1: It's just horrifying, you know. I think about Kim all
- 9:13Speaker 1: the time. Kim is rich, and she's got security, She's
- 9:16Speaker 1: got all the resources in the world, and she can
- 9:18Speaker 1: sort of handle this. Can you imagine, well, hundreds, if
- 9:23Speaker 1: not thousands or millions of women go through every day
- 9:27Speaker 1: with a with an abusive ex It's really really scary.
- 9:30Speaker 1: It really is scary. And many of those women do
- 9:32Speaker 1: not have any resources at art to protect themselves from
- 9:35Speaker 1: an abuse of ex or and abuse of partner, and
- 9:37Speaker 1: there's stake a home, and they there's no way out.
- 9:40Speaker 1: And I don't want to celebrate someone like Kanye for
- 9:42Speaker 1: his behavior. It's not okay at all. It's not okay.
- 9:44Speaker 1: It's really not okay at all. I'm with you a
- 9:47Speaker 1: hundred percent, Trevor Noah, and I think also to we
- 9:50Speaker 1: should stand up. I the older I've got, I've decided
- 9:54Speaker 1: that I'm going to stand up often. I was just silent.
- 9:56Speaker 1: I pretended not to see it. I pretended it wasn't
- 10:00Speaker 1: my business. No, when you see something that's wrong, say
- 10:04Speaker 1: something hey quickly before we go to break. We have
- 10:08Speaker 1: new reports about what Queen Elizabeth is really like, really
- 10:12Speaker 1: like Mark, what they got wrong on the Crown and so.
- 10:16Speaker 1: Royal biographer Robert Hardman, he's very, very fancier. He has
- 10:20Speaker 1: a new book at and he's saying that the queen
- 10:23Speaker 1: really likes being the queen. He said that it's not
- 10:27Speaker 1: just about longevity or clinging on for her. She remains
- 10:32Speaker 1: very much center stage, and she still has an appetite
- 10:36Speaker 1: and an enthusiasm for the job. He argues that she
- 10:40Speaker 1: really likes what she does. She likes to be the queen.
- 10:45Speaker 1: That make said, Mark, do you think you would enjoy
- 10:48Speaker 1: being a king of a queen? What do you think?
- 10:50Speaker 1: I can only imagine if me and you were on
- 10:52Speaker 1: the top of the throne. How naughty and ridiculous. I
- 10:56Speaker 1: love that idea. Yes, I have a little secret for
- 10:59Speaker 1: a boss. Boots actually don't like being in charge. I
- 11:04Speaker 1: like to be the number two. Even in companies I've
- 11:07Speaker 1: worked for. When I've been the boss, I've not enjoyed
- 11:10Speaker 1: it as much as being not in the shadows. But
- 11:13Speaker 1: like number two and number three, I'm not that good
- 11:17Speaker 1: with total power, with total responsibility. I like to have
- 11:20Speaker 1: drinks with my friends. I like laugh, do you know
- 11:23Speaker 1: what I mean? Like if I have to make a decision,
- 11:25Speaker 1: I can. But it's all about knowing where you fit,
- 11:28Speaker 1: isn't it? And I've got to know myself and I'm
- 11:32Speaker 1: much more comfortable. I think it's because I had a
- 11:34Speaker 1: bossy sister, Christine, so I grew up in Christine Shadow
- 11:38Speaker 1: my entire childhood. She was only a year older than me.
- 11:41Speaker 1: So I think I now have become conditioned. I'm used
- 11:44Speaker 1: to being number two and I sort of like it now.
- 11:48Speaker 1: I know you're going to disagreement because you've been out
- 11:50Speaker 1: with me where I just don't shut up and I
- 11:51Speaker 1: don't let anybody else speak. But that's different from making decisions.
- 11:56Speaker 1: When it comes to actual making decisions, I'm fine letting
- 11:59Speaker 1: somebody else very are you, Mark? You're more bossy than
- 12:02Speaker 1: people think. I can be very bossy as well. But
- 12:05Speaker 1: I will say I love doing the show because you
- 12:08Speaker 1: are the king of this podcast. So we're all we're
- 12:11Speaker 1: all under you, and you make decisions created and I've
- 12:15Speaker 1: created the little world in life, create the little world
- 12:19Speaker 1: that you want now, and let's tell you what they've
- 12:21Speaker 1: got wrong on the Crown. So if you watch The
- 12:24Speaker 1: Crown and you see sort of a very dour portrayal
- 12:28Speaker 1: of Queen Elizabeth, Robert is saying that's wrong, and her
- 12:32Speaker 1: close friends and her close stab they think the Crown
- 12:35Speaker 1: and makes some mistake by showing her miserable all the time,
- 12:40Speaker 1: and they say that just is not true. She's really happy.
- 12:43Speaker 1: She's the Queen, Mark, she has a lot to be
- 12:47Speaker 1: happy about, and she enjoys her life. She enjoys being
- 12:51Speaker 1: the queen, and she's happy most of the time. I
- 12:54Speaker 1: would argue, Mark, you're a queen in your life. You
- 12:57Speaker 1: like your life like you're a happy fellow with your life.
- 13:00Speaker 1: Things come along and probably make you miserable, but in
- 13:03Speaker 1: neutral marking neutral on an average day one to ten,
- 13:07Speaker 1: where's your happiness? I'm a good eight. Yeah, yeah, I
- 13:10Speaker 1: have a nice life. I really do. And I you know,
- 13:12Speaker 1: I heard Rob from Royal Forces once upon a time
- 13:15Speaker 1: that the Queen has a really great sense of humor
- 13:17Speaker 1: and she's a lot of fun. And her and Megan
- 13:19Speaker 1: Markel connected because they both had a similar sense of humor,
- 13:22Speaker 1: which I was told she can be a little naughty
- 13:25Speaker 1: like she likes franks. She loves to giggle if somebody
- 13:28Speaker 1: falls over. She has a very visual sense of humor.
- 13:32Speaker 1: She loves to see somebody fall over. One of her
- 13:35Speaker 1: core giars from the World Leader coming in to see her,
- 13:38Speaker 1: who trips over her dogs, and she actually likes it.
- 13:42Speaker 1: I was told when people mess up protocol, so when
- 13:45Speaker 1: you can't curtsy quite properly and fall over like I
- 13:49Speaker 1: would have to bounce. If the Queen walked in and
- 13:51Speaker 1: we walked into the palace, you and me would bat
- 13:53Speaker 1: we would fall over. I mean the chance of sting
- 13:56Speaker 1: it right. And she I'm told, she giggles and she
- 13:59Speaker 1: finds funny and then after we leave they will talk
- 14:02Speaker 1: about us. We are. I love it. It makes us
- 14:06Speaker 1: so much more human. Hey, we're going to take a
- 14:08Speaker 1: quick break. We will be right back. Hello, Hello, welcome
- 14:14Speaker 1: back to the Nordy Been Show. I'm shoot with our
- 14:16Speaker 1: dear friend Mark loop O. Hey, Loopie, let's get to
- 14:18Speaker 1: the poles. It's not the fan the official. Megan Marco
- 14:27Speaker 1: thanked her co star Simon Rix for turning down a
- 14:30Speaker 1: tabloid offer to claim that they had slept together. That
- 14:34Speaker 1: question was, would you tell a story about somebody you
- 14:38Speaker 1: had worked with? Let's have said yes, what about if
- 14:47Speaker 1: you didn't like the person, But you've worked with people
- 14:49Speaker 1: you didn't like Mark, You've had some stinkers in your life.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Would you I don't even know if i'd tell it.
- 14:54Speaker 1: I'll just tell you. I'd just say they're awful. I
- 14:57Speaker 1: worked for Hearble her and they were awful. You're much
- 15:00Speaker 1: more discreets. I'm more discreet Rob. I would never, I
- 15:03Speaker 1: really would never saw the story. It just feels wrong
- 15:06Speaker 1: to me. I've never sold a story. I've never and
- 15:08Speaker 1: I've had people offer me a lot of money, particularly
- 15:11Speaker 1: after working with j Lo and Diddy and Jessica Simpson.
- 15:14Speaker 1: I've never done that. But there had been a few
- 15:16Speaker 1: people I've worked with who were real stinkers, just awful people.
- 15:21Speaker 1: Not celebrities, actually people that were in the office. You
- 15:24Speaker 1: never want to buy a story about them because they're
- 15:26Speaker 1: not famous. But if knew meant had a drink and
- 15:29Speaker 1: you were like, what was it light working for with Claire,
- 15:32Speaker 1: I'd like, Oh, it's a horror. Would you would you
- 15:36Speaker 1: admit that? Would you? Would you protect them? No? I
- 15:39Speaker 1: think gossiping is fine talking about your co workers as
- 15:43Speaker 1: the best. I'm down for that in private, of course.
- 15:48Speaker 1: That you're also naughty today, don't forget to vote on
- 15:52Speaker 1: our pholege rama Facebook pages. Naughty and sure to check
- 15:58Speaker 1: back tomorrow to hear your results. Now, it's a nice
- 16:03Speaker 1: he's nice. He's nicest buck to day. I want you
- 16:06Speaker 1: to describe this very carefully. Oh, yes, the nicest. Other
- 16:11Speaker 1: day it's Jesse James Dekker. Oh but for a very
- 16:17Speaker 1: nice reason. Okay, So Jesse James Deaker posted a naked
- 16:20Speaker 1: pick of her husband Eric for his thirty birthday. Okay,
- 16:24Speaker 1: let me tell you what this is all about. So
- 16:27Speaker 1: Jess took the social media to celebrate her husband's birthday
- 16:30Speaker 1: with the snap of her husband in the new She
- 16:33Speaker 1: captioned the photo by saying, the birthday boy and his
- 16:36Speaker 1: birthday suit looking like a statue from Ghee. He does, yes,
- 16:41Speaker 1: she goes. My man is thirty five and aging like
- 16:43Speaker 1: fine mine. Happy happy birthday to the love of my life,
- 16:46Speaker 1: my best friend, my soulmate, my baby daddy, my right
- 16:49Speaker 1: or die. I'm so happy you were born today. Oh well,
- 16:54Speaker 1: the captain is lovely, but the photograph is magnificent. It's
- 16:57Speaker 1: a naughty gossip dot com. Well, he clearly knew she
- 17:00Speaker 1: was taking a picture like that. Isn't him just rolling
- 17:02Speaker 1: out of bed or jumping out of the shower. He's
- 17:04Speaker 1: pretty post. I mean it looks very staged. It's very stage,
- 17:08Speaker 1: and I can't think of it's how jealous I am.
- 17:11Speaker 1: This is her life. I'm like, she up to this yummy,
- 17:17Speaker 1: yummy us all the time. I'm also told he's a
- 17:20Speaker 1: very nice person. I think that matters, Yes, it does.
- 17:23Speaker 1: But even if he was, he looks so good. Check
- 17:27Speaker 1: out the picture and put a smile on your face.
- 17:30Speaker 1: A man candy is also and nicest of the day
- 17:32Speaker 1: and now and naughty is the day. Chris Guamo is
- 17:36Speaker 1: demanding a hundred and twenty five million from c N
- 17:39Speaker 1: and Chris so we had reported he was hoping to
- 17:42Speaker 1: get sixty million, which is a lot of money. Oh no, no, no, double.
