- 0:00All right, new episode of the podcast, motorcycles podcast
- 0:03episode. I think this might be #7069 or
- 0:0671 of the other, but we are back.
- 0:11You have a haircut, you have glasses on.
- 0:13You're really, you've been into your appearance lately and it
- 0:16shows you're looking great. So what have what have?
- 0:20What are some of your tips? To all Our Lady or male
- 0:23listeners who want to look their best, give us some of your tips.
- 0:27Well, well, you see, I have a bit of a well, you could
- 0:32probably call like an addictive personality.
- 0:34I should never try like hard. Can you say drugs on YouTube?
- 0:40Well, I. Don't know, but we'll find out I
- 0:42guess. So I should never do that, which
- 0:45is what makes like quitting nicotine so hard.
- 0:50But yeah, so we started, you know, we've talked plenty about
- 0:54the whole like losing weight and, you know, trying carnivore
- 0:58for extended period of time and being very dedicated to that.
- 1:03And then is getting back to the started with biking at first,
- 1:06which kind of, you know, ease me back into the gym.
- 1:11Then we went right back to the gym five days a week whenever
- 1:14we're home. And now we've picked back up our
- 1:19100 setups a day and then we've picked back up our running a
- 1:24mile a day, even on the weekends, typically when we're
- 1:29not going to the gym. And so that basically just LED
- 1:33right into, you know, now that we're at a manageable weight and
- 1:39appearance that we, we enjoy again, that's physically
- 1:43healthier to, to carry around on my skeletal frame.
- 1:49Now I'm, I'm deep diving into the, the, I don't even like the
- 1:54word diet because everybody, I think always, you know, from
- 1:59back in the day, the word diet. Like what do you think of yours
- 2:03may be different, but what do you think of when you hear the
- 2:05word diet? I would say the first one that
- 2:09comes to mind to me is Atkins Diet.
- 2:11I remember that was really big for a while and basically it was
- 2:16a, it was like a Gen. 1 keto diet, no carbs basically and
- 2:22just very restrictive. I would say if I were to use
- 2:26boil it down to one term, I would say typically a diet is
- 2:30looked at as pretty restrictive on your lifestyle.
- 2:35Yeah, and isn't that unfortunate because like, that's not let me
- 2:39just Google the definition of diet real quick to read.
- 2:42OK, while she's while she is Googling the definition of diet,
- 2:46we do have Bow Disciples Challenge 4 tickets are
- 2:50available right now on bowdisciples.com.
- 2:53We have one day, 2 day, three day passes, kids passes, and
- 2:56Walker passes. There is 4 courses this year
- 3:00instead of 315 targets apiece. To me, 15 targets is like the
- 3:04perfect length of a course, so be sure you check that out.
- 3:08All the information is on boatdisciples.com.
- 3:11Also, Team BD, as always, saves 20% on badlandsgear.com.
- 3:17And shout out to all the sponsors.
- 3:21Gaspo Strings, Best in the game, boning right here, and just all
- 3:25the guys. So yeah, Boat disciples.com.
- 3:28Hopefully we'll see you guys May 15th through 17th.
- 3:31And yeah, hit us with that definition.
- 3:34Yes, you know, you're not wrong per SE like there's like if you
- 3:40know, multiple meanings of the same spelled word.
- 3:44Sometimes I'm trying to think of one off the top of my head now
- 3:47and I can't but but so diet, that is one of the definitions a
- 3:53regimen of eating and drinking sparingly so as to reduce one's
- 3:56weight. But then there's also three more
- 3:59definitions for the same word. Diet, food and drink regularly
- 4:03provided or consumed. Habitual nourishment.
- 4:07The kind and amount of food prescribed for a person, animal
- 4:11or for a special reason. So I guess it's just it's
- 4:16unfortunate because the primary assumption of the word is that
- 4:20last definition, a restricted regimen of food for losing, you
- 4:24know, a specific amount of weight.
- 4:27But that's not the only definition of diet.
- 4:29So when I say I'm focusing now on my diet, people are like, oh,
- 4:34my God, you know, you're already so small.
- 4:36Like, why are you restricting yourself?
- 4:38That's not the case. Diet can mean many, many forms
- 4:42of the word. And so when I say diet, I just
- 4:45mean that I'm taking a stronger deep dive, look into what I'm
- 4:51eating, how much am I eating and categorizing the things that I
- 4:58eat in the categories that they belong in.
- 5:01So looking at the proper amount of protein, I am, you would
- 5:06think for being, you know, a hunter that I'd be good at
- 5:10eating protein. We do eat through our freezer,
- 5:12but I am categorically ass at eating protein that I'm supposed
- 5:18to on a daily basis based on my weight and size.
- 5:24And so creating a diet or regimental plan of food that
- 5:30I'll intake throughout the week that ensures that I am eating
- 5:36the proper amount of protein per day to recover better, to gain
- 5:41muscle, to stay strong, to stay healthy.
- 5:46And then with that is your, your carbs, your fats, your sugars,
- 5:51you know, all of those fun things.
- 5:53So ChatGPT and I did a, you know, conference call and came
- 5:57up with a plan. And it is, you know, now you've
- 6:02done it for a day with me. A lot of food, it's so much
- 6:07food. It's, it's weird.
- 6:10It's hard to focus when I can tell that your mind's like in
- 6:14left field. Sometimes I see your eyeballs
- 6:17wander off into the best I could tell that time you're changing
- 6:20the TV also because they're remote.
- 6:22But anyways, it's a lot of food and they call it in the the the
- 6:27cool bodybuilders world body recomposition.
- 6:34All recomposition means it's just you're, you're changing the
- 6:38amount of calories that you eat in a day, ensuring that they're
- 6:42the right calorie breakdown in order to adjust your metabolism.
- 6:51So I know that my metabolism is slower than a sloth that got
- 6:55stuck in molasses in Alaska. It's that slow.
- 7:00And so right now, trying to intake the amount of calories
- 7:04that this diet says to intake and protein and fats and carbs,
- 7:09by the time the next meal comes, I'm like, ha, more food.
- 7:16So it's going to take a while for my body to recognize, oh,
- 7:21she's, she's feeding me all the right things now, you know, and
- 7:28then adjust its metabolism accordingly.
- 7:31But that's going to take more than, you know, a couple weeks.
- 7:34And I'm only on day 2 and it's lunchtime and I do not want
- 7:40lunch but I'm going to eat lunch and my snack.
- 7:45Oh you can. You can comment about the snack
- 7:47because we ate the snack for dessert last night.
- 7:51Yeah, it was Greek yogurt with some berries and almonds.
- 7:55Greek yogurt. Yeah, almonds, bananas.
- 7:59And yeah, it was, it was very solid.
- 8:01I mean, much better than have. I'm not a sweets guy, but much
- 8:05better than having like a pint of ice cream or something along
- 8:08those lines. So yeah, I I think it's good.
- 8:13And you can even drizzle or you know, it's not against the rules
- 8:15because it's natural sugars. You can drizzle a little bit of
- 8:18I mean don't coat it like a hot fudge sundae, but you know, you
- 8:22could drizzle honey on there to help sweeten the non fat yogurt.
- 8:27Helpful tips are making sure your berries are ripe, you know,
- 8:31because if they're not, they're a little unless you love bitter.
- 8:34I know you like more like bitter or tart things.
- 8:36I do not. I love my sweets.
- 8:40But yeah, you liked it and thought it was like a a satiable
- 8:46substitute for dessert. Right.
- 8:48I mean, I don't even have dessert, so it was just like
- 8:50extra stuff. But I mean, you got to follow
- 8:53the plan and it was in the plan to have.
- 8:56So yeah, I mean, it was fine. And well, I don't know, I'm
- 9:00enjoying it and I think it's cool.
- 9:03I've always loved weight training.
- 9:04It's just been a part of my life for 13 years now, since like
- 9:0920/12/2013. So it's cool to see you in the
- 9:13gym and, and as fired up about it as I always am.
- 9:17So I think that's been really fun to watch and, and it's good.
- 9:20It's never bad to move more. That's The thing is like I
- 9:24always say, I think the cheat code for someone who's like just
- 9:27getting started on a fitness journey is like, if you do these
- 9:31four steps, I think you're, you're doing great.
- 9:35Would be at least 8 hours of sleep, gallon of water a day,
- 9:4110,000 steps a day, and get like at least an hour of sunshine
- 9:48today. I think if you just do those
- 9:50four things, you're going to be far better off than whatever you
- 9:54were doing prior. Yeah, And the only thing I would
- 9:56adjust to what you said, because I think sometimes people hear a
- 9:59gallon of water and they're like, holy shit, that's a lot of
- 10:02water. But it doesn't have to be, you
- 10:05know, a gallon for you pretty much equates to your your body
- 10:08weight. But it's like what, an ounce per
- 10:13per pound I believe. Or maybe it's 2 oz per pound.
- 10:17I know it's an ounce per pound I believe.
- 10:19I could be wrong, but just add that up and figure out what that
- 10:23is in cups. And then like like what I did
- 10:27with that, my 40 oz Stanley is I just tried to drink three of
- 10:34those a day. And then, you know, you don't
- 10:38have to sit there and get one of those.
- 10:39You know, I tried one and lost it.
- 10:41One of those cups that has like 1 cup, you're doing great, 2
- 10:44cut. And if you need that motivation,
- 10:46you know, get one of those cups on Amazon.
- 10:47But I just refilled it the Stanley three times.
- 10:50So like I feel it before we walk to the gym and by the time
- 10:54granted you sip some of it, but you know, so there's a cheat
- 10:57there for me, but I tried to drink one before we get back to
- 11:02the house, fill it up before we leave the gym and try to drink
- 11:05it, you know, from there and back.
- 11:06That's one already in the morning before I've even had a
- 11:09cup. That's another thing is caffeine
- 11:12and you've been harping on me to make sure, which I think I'm
- 11:16doing a fairly think I've cheated like one day in the past
- 11:19week or two of having the caffeine before the water, but
- 11:23trying to have they say at least 8 ounces of water before you
- 11:27have caffeine or coffee in the morning.
- 11:30So I just try to drink one of my Stanley's before I come home and
- 11:34then we'll have a cup of coffee with our breakfast.
- 11:39But so switching things like that so you're getting your
- 11:41hydration in. But yeah, the, you know, don't
- 11:44scare yourself off with trying to buy a gallon milk jug and
- 11:48smell like holy cow. Just start with, you know,
- 11:52you're Stanley, you're Yeti, whatever your thing is.
- 11:54And, you know, try to fill it two times in a day and then
- 11:57three times and, you know, work up.
- 11:59I think taking things in increments is what's made this
- 12:02so possible for me to do in less than a year.
- 12:05You know, it's 30 lbs in less than a year, plus a body
- 12:10recomposition you could say is I've gone back to the gym.
- 12:13So it's not just weight loss, it's been muscle gain, it's been
- 12:16endurance, it's been, you know, diet recomposition.
- 12:20But I didn't just decide to try and tackle all of that at once
- 12:25because I think that scares people.
- 12:28That just scares. I think it confuses people that
- 12:30you don't know where to start. Like you just said, start with
- 12:32those four simple things and then maybe do that for a few
- 12:35months. And then once you're comfortable
- 12:39and you feel like that's just a part of your routine, like it
- 12:42took me 10 to far as like I'm going to tackle tracking, you
- 12:45know, calories and protein. So wait till you're comfortable.
- 12:51There's no, you know, I bought this book and it says start
- 12:55after three months and then six months.
- 12:56Like, if you're not ready, then wait another month till you feel
- 13:01comfortable and then, you know, add the next step, whatever that
- 13:07is. And I think that makes it a lot
- 13:10easier for people. And I know lots of people be
- 13:13like, oh, you care about your looks or whatnot.
- 13:16And it's like, bruh, it's not about the looks.
- 13:22Yeah, it's nice to have your hair done and your face on, your
- 13:26eyelashes on and whatnot. But you feel health wise, more
- 13:33confident and then that just, you know, flows into every
- 13:38little step, whether it's your physical appearance or your
- 13:41personality or you know, any, any category.
- 13:46So why why not do it? Like it just makes no sense to
- 13:54me. And granted, there are things
- 13:57like depression or anxiety or whatever.
- 14:01And we had, as we've talked about, a long bout of me, your
- 14:05favorite period of time with me, you know, staying in bed,
- 14:11sleeping all day, watching TV all day, basically doing
- 14:16nothing. And how did that translate into
- 14:20my mood and overall demeanor? Not well.
- 14:29I feel like there's a short right there.
- 14:32Not well, but yeah. So it just you're just more
- 14:38lively, there's more energy and with more energy comes more
- 14:41confidence, more willingness to do things and go places and
- 14:46yadda, yadda, yadda. And so it all is just positive.
- 14:53There's our talk about health for the segment.
- 14:57Yeah, that was great. How's your journey been?
- 15:00Good. Yeah.
- 15:00I don't know. I feel great, look great,
- 15:03probably in the best shape of my life.
- 15:05You know, I mean, I don't know, I, you know, look, when you're
- 15:09in the, you know, entertainment space, which is what I consider
- 15:13what I do, right, I. Think your entertainment space
- 15:17or entertainment industry. I think of the different
- 15:19industry. Like what acting or?
- 15:22The form of it. Yeah, I do.
- 15:24Well, I, I have been manifesting that I want to, I want to do
- 15:29acting next. That's my next thing.
- 15:31So I was a bike rider, a real estate guy, now a Archer slash
- 15:36hunter, which I've been forever, but just publicly Archer and and
- 15:41hunter next I want to be actor. So that's, that's what I meant.
- 15:44I want to do like a sitcom or something.
- 15:46So hopefully one day I find a way to to make that happen.
- 15:51But I would love to do some acting.
- 15:52I really like acting. I'm telling you could so I know
- 15:55like you were like I don't want my own TV show or whatnot one
- 15:58day. But just think about the way
- 15:59your TV show could be and would be so DIF.
- 16:04It'd be like your reality TV that you love so much.
- 16:08Love reality, you know, basically, it'd be a reality TV
- 16:11show around your life. Yeah, I mean, I, I love it.
- 16:15So yeah, no, I mean, the hell stuffs been good.
- 16:18I think it's important to, I do think looks are important, you
- 16:22know, especially when you're in entertainment.
- 16:24I think people typically if you see people with like some sort
- 16:28of platform, they're usually not ugly, you know what I'm saying?
- 16:30So I do think it's important. I was, I got a little thick for
- 16:33a while as well and I'm toning it back in, getting in better
- 16:38and better shape. Strength is still good.
- 16:40The endurance is getting better. But I do think it's important to
- 16:43try to #1 be healthy, which usually translates to looking
- 16:47better directly. So that's something I'm, I am
- 16:50always working on. But yeah, I don't think there's
- 16:53anything wrong with saying that. I think like there's this stigma
- 16:56like, Oh, you shouldn't say you care about looks like, but you
- 16:59do care. Like everyone cares.
- 17:01Like it's so stupid to pretend like you don't.
- 17:04It's sort of like when people go, Oh, you only do social media
- 17:06because you, you like attention. It's like, I do like attention.
- 17:09I'll say it. I know you're not supposed to
- 17:11say it, but I'll say it. And so does other people.
- 17:15It's just like you're I just, I don't do the stigma stuff.
- 17:18Like of all, you can't say this because like that's not socially
- 17:22acceptable. What is that?
- 17:25Like I'm not on that wave. It's like, no, I prefer to just
- 17:27be honest about stuff happening, you know?
- 17:31And you know, I mean, shoot, we work hard.
- 17:35We do a lot of hours, a lot of travel.
- 17:37I've been freaking shooting like 10 to 12 hours a week on top of
- 17:41training and editing all these. Videos.
- 17:44That's only my indoor. So my point is, like, if we're
- 17:47not in shape and taking care of our health and our body and
- 17:50stuff, I'm not going to have the energy to edit, edit 10 videos
- 17:54and then go film two more and shoot 2 hours a day and work out
- 17:59and run and like, it's a lot of stuff.
- 18:02So to even do it, you have to be taking care of yourself or else
- 18:08you're going to get worn down and not be able to do it.
- 18:11And there are times where we'll be worn down.
- 18:13I mean, you can go watch the Hawaii video from last year.
- 18:16I have a friggin huge cold sore on my face and my face was
- 18:19falling apart and it's still scarred to this day because I
- 18:23was like so short on sleep working.
- 18:28So I don't know. But my point is like, being
- 18:32healthy is cool. It should be looked at as cool.
- 18:36I think it's cool. So, I mean, you know, yeah, I'm,
- 18:38I'm amped up on it. And obviously we're going to
- 18:41keep it moving because we got a lot of big stuff coming up, I
- 18:44mean. Yeah, I do.
- 18:45I just I, I love what you just said there because a lot of
- 18:50times for, you know, always, I always get to speak from the
- 18:54women's aspect, being a woman and it just couldn't, they
- 19:00couldn't be any more true. It's just so frustrating when
- 19:05you hear the negative comments from, from people and then from
- 19:10women saying it about other women as well.
- 19:14And it's like they're not like, sure.
- 19:18And maybe they're posting because they like, you know,
- 19:21attention. That doesn't mean somebody's
- 19:23obsessed with attention. But is it nice to be
- 19:27complimented of, like, good work?
- 19:30Holy cow. You put a lot of work in the gym
- 19:32or whatever. Yeah, and kudos to them for
- 19:36doing it. And then that's that doesn't
- 19:38mean that's their only reason for doing it.
- 19:40What if it's just somebody's hobby and they love
- 19:44bodybuilding? Should they hide it and not post
- 19:47themselves on social media? And we don't know that person
- 19:51who I'm not. It's just it gets me because
- 19:52what you said is exactly true. Like so they post themselves at
- 19:57the gym on social media or like. Postal workout or at the gym in
- 20:04the mirror or, you know, done up or whatever, you know, and then
- 20:11boom, here comes the negative comments of like, oh, they just
- 20:15want attention or oh, like why are you wearing makeup at the
- 20:19gym or, or or mayor wearing makeup hunting or it's like
- 20:26what? Why don't like where is the
- 20:28positivity? Like why not just be like great
- 20:33job, great job for going to the gym today.
- 20:36Well. Here's the deal, right?
- 20:40You're never going to see people.
- 20:41I've said this once, I said it a million times, but when people
- 20:46look lately I've been getting hammered by comments, right?
- 20:50I've been getting just smoked by comments by people.
- 20:53But again, your mind focuses on the negative ones are still way
- 20:57more positive. Probably out of 195 will be +5
- 21:01will be negative. But those are the ones that you
- 21:03think about are the negative ones, right?
- 21:05And lately I've had a lot, a lot more negative ones than I've
- 21:08been used to. But guess what?
- 21:09All that means is that the numbers in the in the platforms
- 21:13are doing well every single time.
- 21:15When you know when the hate rolls in, that means your stuff
- 21:17is cranking. And that's the truth.
- 21:19So what it is is that there is a there's two types of people in
- 21:24the world. There's people that like to win
- 21:27and do their Max potential and try to push themselves and hang
- 21:30out with people that also push themselves.
- 21:32There's that group of people and then there's a group of people
- 21:34that make excuses for everything in their life and are never
- 21:38going to accomplish a shit load because they'll never get
- 21:41outside their comfort zone. And rather than do that and push
- 21:44themselves and keep leveling up, what they do is shit on people
- 21:47who they see doing that because they're too scared to do it.
- 21:51So they rather than say, yo, good job, you're really crushing
- 21:54it, they go, I only am not doing it because I don't care about
- 21:59attention. And it's like, is that really it
- 22:01or are you lazy bastard? I think you're lazy and scared
- 22:04is what it is. But again, it's two different
- 22:07mindsets. And I think the book, I've
- 22:10talked about it before, but the book I'm as a man thinketh is
- 22:14no, I'm telling you it's dialed. It's exactly about this.
- 22:17You have to cultivate a mindset of positivity because your mind
- 22:21is a garden. And if you're constantly
- 22:23thinking negative shit and you see, if you're a girl and you
- 22:26see some super hot girl on Instagram on the Explore page
- 22:29and your first thought is look at her filming herself at the
- 22:33gym, is that really what you think?
- 22:36Or are you just conscious about filming yourself at the gym or?
- 22:38Are you just jealous because she's way hotter than you?
- 22:40Let's be realistic. Right.
- 22:41Well, and that's as I've been thinking about this more and
- 22:44more and more because like, for example, there was that girl
- 22:47who's the Super strong one who can do like hand stands and
- 22:49shit. Oh, and a beast, you know, and
- 22:52at first you could be like fuck, are you doing a handstand at the
- 22:55gym? But it's like.
- 22:57Have you seen her physique? Yeah, and.
- 22:59So she was sitting there doing back squats yesterday and she
- 23:03had on just the, the sports bra and the, the, what do you call
- 23:07those spandex shorts? Spandex shorts, not regular
- 23:09shorts, spandex shorts. And you're just watching her.
- 23:13And by you, I mean myself. And I'm like, I'm glad that this
- 23:18is the way my mindset went. Wasn't like put some damn
- 23:21clothes on or like why are you looking at yourself in the
- 23:23mirror or like it was I could not wear that yet to the gym.
- 23:30But that is even positive because I'm saying OK, I
- 23:34recognize that that woman is fit as fuck and I need to get there.
- 23:40I may not be there yet or I may not be comfortable with wearing
- 23:43that there yet. And everybody has their own
- 23:46comfortability level, you know, like some people may have some
- 23:49fluff rolls and be OK with wearing that and that's
- 23:51perfectly fine too. But find what's comfortable for
- 23:54you, you know, and your own comfortability and your
- 23:56comfortable skin. And I could see that and think
- 24:00that and the thoughts that came through my head, we're not
- 24:03jealousy, but that that makes me think that sometimes maybe it's
- 24:07not just jealousy, but it's also a deep rooted subconscious
- 24:13insecurity. And so and that can come off,
- 24:17you know, as a form of jealousy when people write things and
- 24:20what not. But it also just screams to me
- 24:24that maybe you're not answering your own questions about your
- 24:28own insecurities and figuring out like what, when, where and
- 24:34when would you be comfortable doing what you're hating on that
- 24:39person doing? And it could, you know, you
- 24:42could just not ever be not because it's not comfortable,
- 24:45because you think it's not wholesome or you know, it's
- 24:49inappropriate or whatever. But like what does?
- 24:53Like what is having hair extensions or getting your hair
- 24:56done have to do with like not being wholesome or or like it
- 25:02doesn't. So why would we like shit on
- 25:03somebody for it? Well, well, like I said earlier.
- 25:06I just don't understand. It's two different types of
- 25:09mindsets. That's all it is.
- 25:10So that's the homework for this episode is go read that book.
- 25:13It's not a long book. As a man, Thinketh is a real
- 25:16banger just to adjust your mind. I don't know why you're giggling
- 25:19like it is a fire book. Yeah.
- 25:22It's just, it's about, it's about yay big, right?
- 25:25And it's about yay big in size like dimensions wise.
- 25:30And it was just you would read me some quotes from it.
- 25:33And it's just granted, I don't read a lot of nonfict.
- 25:38Well, I do read nonfiction, but it's more of like historical,
- 25:41not like mindset or growth or whatever.
- 25:44So when you're for me, it was very dry when you would.
- 25:48And so that's what makes it funny.
- 25:50It sounds very like just like the name of thinketh it like
- 25:54when the way it is written reminds me of somebody writing
- 25:58it in like the 17th century. Well, it's a old.
- 26:01Book, but I think it's sold more copies than like, I mean, it's a
- 26:05very highly sold book. You know, I just that's what
- 26:08makes me giggle every time because I think of like, I think
- 26:11of like Xavier or what's his name X in, in our show The
- 26:16Walking Dead right now, Ezekiel. It reminds me of Ezekiel of just
- 26:21like this like 17th century king, like from like King Arthur
- 26:26or something. And that's what that book
- 26:28reminds. Brianna's kind of being a hater
- 26:30of as a man thinketh you're being a hater mentality.
- 26:34No, not just because the book in the way that it's is written
- 26:38makes me giggle is not a hater mentality.
- 26:41And see that's defensiveness. I think just as somebody giggles
- 26:45about the the tone in which the book is written does not mean
- 26:51that they hate something. Continental breakfast continent.
- 27:00Well, yeah, I again, peace, love and positivity.
- 27:03That's what I'm all about. I'm about growing the sport of
- 27:07archery and that's always been the goal.
- 27:10So I am on the wave that if people are helping to grow the
- 27:15sport, I'm on board. I'm supportive of it.
- 27:20And if people have bad intentions, which I think
- 27:23occasionally does happen, not very often, they're going to,
- 27:27they're not going to last very long.
- 27:29There's a quote, I think my friend actually Whitney
- 27:32commented it on a video one time or I actually, I think it was a
- 27:35podcast. And if she's dead on, she said
- 27:39if you want to go somewhere fast, go alone.
- 27:43But if you want to like go the distance over a long period of
- 27:47time, like go, go together, be supportive, right?
- 27:50She's right about that. And I think that for, for, for
- 27:53us and what we're doing, it's not special, right?
- 27:57We're not doing anything special.
- 27:58We're not doing anything nobody else is doing.
- 28:01Like that's it. That's something that like
- 28:02content people say that I'm like, they'll be like, well, I'm
- 28:04doing stuff that no one's really doing.
- 28:06I'm like, bro, that's not. True, somebody, somewhere is
- 28:08doing. Like, that's not true.
- 28:10We're not doing anything special.
- 28:11We just like to go out, have fun, shoot bows.
- 28:14And as long as it's getting people to want to shoot archery,
- 28:18that's great, you know? And I don't care whether that's
- 28:21us getting people into it or page or elk shape or some target
- 28:27shooter I've never heard of or a recurve person like or or or
- 28:31game or what's that movie called Hunger Games, like whatever.
- 28:37As long as stuff is getting people into the sport of
- 28:39archery, I'm I'm supportive of it and really like it because
- 28:43one thing I've really been liking to see recently on my
- 28:46practice sessions, like I said, when I go to performance archery
- 28:49right now, it's like I'm checking into work.
- 28:51Basically. I go, it's a morning fellows and
- 28:53like I go shoot for two hours. It's ridiculous how much I'm
- 28:56shooting. It's like 8 to 12 hours a week.
- 28:59It's a lot of time. So I'm getting to see all the
- 29:02different types of people that shoot and it is diverse.
- 29:06I mean, you got old people, young people.
- 29:09Especially because where we live.
- 29:10Old people, young people, boys, girls, all ethnicities,
- 29:15different religions, all sorts of different types of bows and
- 29:19people are just coming shooting, having fun.
- 29:21And I'm like, bro, that is special to me and I love it.
- 29:26And it is interesting too because I'll go shoot and some
- 29:32days it's just, you know, I try to go at hours where like it's
- 29:35maybe not so busy, but sometimes I'll be there and there's like
- 29:3825 people and sometimes I'll be there and there's like one or
- 29:41two or rarely just me. But it I got a, it's interesting
- 29:47because I was shooting the other day and I was shooting, I mean,
- 29:51pretty good, you know, just banging medals for the most
- 29:53part. And I've had it a couple times
- 29:55recently where people shooting next to me will walk up and as I
- 29:59walk up, people will like look over at my target and the big
- 30:01dude, like that's your consistency is insane, you know,
- 30:06and I go, thank you very much, you know, like, but in my head,
- 30:10just go show how people work. I go, thank you so much and I'm
- 30:12very appreciative. But then I go man, but I've seen
- 30:16Paige shoot and I'm not even anywhere.
- 30:19I have a long ways to go. Like I'm looking at this target
- 30:21up here, 323 X. That's my best I've ever shot
- 30:26and that's really good. But like to her that would be
- 30:28super sloppy. So it's interesting how it's
- 30:31important. It's a personal trait.
- 30:34I, I think I is important to pay attention to if someone gives
- 30:38you a compliment, make sure you say thank you and be
- 30:41appreciative. Even if in your head you're
- 30:43like, I'm still that's this isn't that good because it is
- 30:46really good. It's way above average.
- 30:49It's just not as good as someone who's the best in the world.
- 30:51So it's like, it's interesting. Like I'm also not a big gift
- 30:56giver. I don't like receiving gifts or
- 30:59I don't like receiving gifts or giving gifts, right?
- 31:02It's not that I don't like it. It's just not like something
- 31:04that calls out to me. But I remember I read a book one
- 31:06time that said, you know, if someone, what was it?
- 31:12If someone wants to give you a gift, like you have to be open
- 31:15to receive it because like, let's say I wanted to give you a
- 31:19gift, right? Like a bow or something.
- 31:21And you're like, Nah, I can't take this.
- 31:23I'm not going to take this. You're actually like harming the
- 31:27person trying to give you the gift.
- 31:30You know what I'm saying? Like you, you need to be
- 31:31appreciative and open to receive it.
- 31:34And that's the same thing I'm learning with these compliments
- 31:37I'll get because it's cool. Like I, I am proud of my
- 31:39shooting, but it's like, rather than go, oh, well, it's not that
- 31:43good. I have a long ways to go.
- 31:45Rather than respond like that. It's very important to go.
- 31:47Oh, dude, thanks so much. Like, you know, I still, I'm
- 31:50still trying to get a little better, but thank you or
- 31:53whatever, you know. And so that's been interesting
- 31:57too. And then, I don't know, I got to
- 31:59help a kid fix his bow the other day.
- 32:01That was kind of cool. His freaking mod on his Cam was
- 32:04like almost falling out. Yeah, sketchy.
- 32:08But but my point is like, I like seeing archery grow.
- 32:11I don't care who shoots or what your deal is, or if you're a
- 32:15blarper who likes to go wear medieval stuff and shoot a
- 32:19recurve, like, well, I'm supportive of it.
- 32:20I'll go do a LAR ping video for the channel, you know what I
- 32:23mean? Could you imagine?
- 32:24Yeah, there'll be fire and. Remind what you're saying kind
- 32:27of reminds me of it was playing. I didn't know if you heard it or
- 32:29not because I was in the bathroom.
- 32:30And so it just kept repeating, but Bob does sports posted
- 32:38Instagram post the other day to what's the Irish dude's name or
- 32:44Scottish, I don't know. Oh, the golfer.
- 32:46Yeah, Rory. Rory McIlroy Yeah, and tagged a
- 32:52minute because in a interview and interview that McIlroy did,
- 33:00some one of the publisher or press guys asked them, what do
- 33:04you think of like, or do you follow along with, you know, the
- 33:08like the YouTube and, you know, Fat Perez's of the world, like
- 33:13gaining traction in promoting the sport or whatever.
- 33:18And you know, though his answer was professional, it was like,
- 33:22no, like I'd, I'd rather you said basically stumbled around
- 33:26on his words and then said, look, I'd rather I'd rather
- 33:30watch it this way. Saturday mornings on, you know,
- 33:32the pro channel, you know, on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
- 33:36And and that's that. It's just he goes like not my,
- 33:40my age group or whatever. And that's it's very true.
- 33:45So like, nothing is wrong with what McElroy said, you know, but
- 33:50key thing to what he said is, is it's not my age group exactly.
- 33:55And that's fine, but not everybody is your age group.
- 33:59So not everybody finds fascination in your engagement
- 34:06in the same type of content. And that doesn't even solely
- 34:11mean your age group or demographic.
- 34:15But where I may not want to go watch pro golf and and tap like
- 34:23this, but I may want to watch Bob does sports.
- 34:26But guess what? Both people are watching the
- 34:29sport of golf. And so that's where, you know, I
- 34:34love the comments, you know, that you get sometimes of like
- 34:38the hater people, the one like I think you shared the other day
- 34:40of, you know, take bold disciples out of this and I
- 34:43would watch it. Well, buddy number one, you're
- 34:47already. Watching.
- 34:50Cracks me up. But number 2 is that it's like,
- 34:55OK, that's fine, we're not your cup of tea, maybe somebody else
- 34:59is. You should probably go watch
- 35:01theirs instead of watching this and commenting on it.
- 35:03But The thing is, is you are somebody's cup of tea.
- 35:09And so it's it's just funny when like you can be good and you
- 35:18know, your, your cup of tea is being funny.
- 35:20You know, having fun, because being funny and having fun are
- 35:23two different things. But you do both of them but can
- 35:27still help a kid, you know, in the shop and they don't.
- 35:31You don't need to be, you know, a pro that they saw on the TV
- 35:37channel on, on, you know, Saturday sports live to trust
- 35:41that they can help you or that they can assist you or that you
- 35:44can learn something from them. You can get information,
- 35:49knowledge or just watch and have a good laugh from this channel
- 35:55and you could do the same thing and get you may not laugh, but
- 35:58you may get you may still be engaged.
- 36:00Doesn't mean you have to laugh to be engaged by watching a more
- 36:03serious type of content, whether it's on YouTube or like, you
- 36:07know, a pro shoot off on TV or whatever.
- 36:10And it's just so that it it all just continues to go back to
- 36:14like the negativity comments that it's like, but not
- 36:17everybody's like you, you know, being the commenter.
- 36:23So why comment negatively anyways?
- 36:26I don't know. But it's just everybody has a
- 36:29different cup of tea. Yeah, of course.
- 36:32But I've been in, like I said, I've been really enjoying
- 36:38shooting at the range and just seeing different types of
- 36:42people, vibing with other types of people, and also working on
- 36:48the craft of my target shooting. It's been, I think, coming along
- 36:52pretty well. I think my bow is just about to
- 36:57the point where I'm not really going to do anything else until
- 37:01after the Vegas shoot. I did confirm today at the bow
- 37:07and arrow shop. I just got some new gas bow
- 37:09strings on my bow Tech Alliance, but it's all Joe confirmed.
- 37:15I'm going to shoot 30 arrows Friday, 30 Saturday, 30 Sunday,
- 37:18so 90 arrows total and I'm pretty sure my bow is where I'm
- 37:25going to leave it. I do think that I want to change
- 37:27the dot color. Unfortunately we had a bit of a
- 37:30issue with ordering the dots, but I'm either going to color it
- 37:34or print one on my stickers or Joe said he might have some at
- 37:37his house. So after I changed the the scope
- 37:40dot color from yellow to something else, just not yellow.
- 37:45I I think that the bow is good. That's where I'm going to leave
- 37:49it pretty much. I might rotate the ACU just ever
- 37:54so slightly, like 1/4 turn at a time and see if one of those is
- 37:57better. Maybe I'll draw a little dot on
- 38:00the top so I know like where I'm where I'm at on the rotation.
- 38:04But yeah, I mean, been shooting a lot.
- 38:07Probably anywhere between 90 and 120 arrows per session three to
- 38:11four days a week. So a lot.
- 38:16So yeah, definitely getting better.
- 38:18The endurance. I don't struggle with the shakes
- 38:20anymore. We're breaking down really at
- 38:23all. So it's good.
- 38:26I have two, two and a half, 2 1/2 weeks till we leave.
- 38:31I think tomorrow will be two weeks till we leave.
- 38:34So two weeks to shoot a lot. And right now I would say we're
- 38:39probably averaging about 299, 22 XI would say is probably about
- 38:45average. So I'm really hoping that by the
- 38:48time Vegas comes around, I'm like 324 X would be like, I'd be
- 38:52really happy if that's what I'm shooting most of the time.
- 38:55And then just got to try to do it three times in Vegas, you
- 39:01know, But I feel feel pretty. It's nice to have the bow where
- 39:05I'm like, all right, I'm not going to touch it anymore, you
- 39:07know? Yeah, Yeah.
- 39:08You finally gotten through that phase that two weeks ago or so
- 39:13we were talking about of like it's being experimental and
- 39:17changing this and changing that, adjusting this, adjusting that,
- 39:21and you've gotten through that experimental phase.
- 39:23I'm constantly in the experimental phase.
- 39:26Well, I think that in Target, that's like a slope that a lot
- 39:30of people do, do and like. And if your page I think you can
- 39:36do it. Well, she's got all the
- 39:37knowledge, right? Like so she knows how to do it,
- 39:39but like for me. Just knowledge, the skill to be
- 39:42able to switch things up and her Rep, her repetition, her
- 39:46repeatability is so 100%. You know, it's, it's not even
- 39:51like a 99.8 like it's 100%. So it's not about like picking
- 39:58up the bow and it's a different bow or a different, you know,
- 40:01whatever, anything. And something in her
- 40:06repeatability in her form changes never, you know, And now
- 40:11I think it's such a big factor. And that only comes with like
- 40:14you're doing shooting over and over and over again.
- 40:18Yeah, the reps have been really good.
- 40:21I feel like I don't. Yeah, I feel, I feel really good
- 40:25and I'm hoping that, I mean, this will be my first ever
- 40:29indoor match ever. I've never done a league, I've
- 40:32never done a local 1, nothing. This will be my first one.
- 40:34So I know that I know that obviously there will probably be
- 40:41some nerves as far as like having so many people there and
- 40:44doing something totally different, having like a bit of
- 40:46an audience. But what I'm hoping is I'm
- 40:50pretty, I don't know, I'm not super easily rattled by high
- 40:54pressure situations just because I've competed a long time,
- 40:58whether as a biker or, or archery shoots, you know, stuff
- 41:02like that. But I'm also, I remember the
- 41:08first tack I ever went to back in 2019.
- 41:10I remember getting on the first shooting stake and being so
- 41:13nervous, you know, like that. Well, there was lots of people
- 41:16there, you know, and I wasn't used to shooting around that
- 41:18many people. But nowadays I don't get that
- 41:22anymore. And I, and I also shoot on film
- 41:24a lot. So it's like, I don't know, I
- 41:28don't think I, I don't think I'll be that rattled.
- 41:30So I hope that's the case and I can just get in there and
- 41:32friggin drain shots and hopefully come home with a 900.
- 41:35I think if I can do a 900, that would obviously be the goal.
- 41:41And yeah, we'll see. But I, like I said, I'm excited
- 41:45to have it to where I'm not going to mess with the bow
- 41:47anymore. And like I said, where I do
- 41:49think it's a slippery slope for someone like myself, just like a
- 41:52humble popper like myself is I could sit there and go, well,
- 41:56maybe I'll move the bars up a little more.
- 41:58I'll tweak these out a little or I'll like move this.
- 42:01Like I think it would be really easy to sort of like do these
- 42:04little incremental things. But then every time I'm
- 42:07shooting, it's different. So now I'm like, all right, it's
- 42:10going to be the same from here on out.
- 42:13So I just got to shoot it a lot and get the feel and, and, and
- 42:17hopefully switch that dot color. But other than that, it's just
- 42:22about shooting the arrows and. Well, I think that's a good
- 42:25lesson that you learned from you learned that lesson from Paige.
- 42:30I I truly believe and and Ted pointed it out the other day,
- 42:37you know, he said something about like you guys have always
- 42:39been that he might even said humble poppers, you know, but
- 42:43who always believed like it's me.
- 42:44It can't be the equipment. And I'm not saying that you
- 42:46should always blame this. Everybody calls it the
- 42:49equipment. It's not blaming, it's
- 42:51experimenting, it's finding what works for you.
- 42:54And you used to for sure be one of those people who was like,
- 42:58I'm not moving my site. I don't I don't, I don't need to
- 43:01move my site. And then Paige, I think really
- 43:05ingrained into you that like, yes, you can and you should.
- 43:10And that's not to say, like you said, like then it always is a
- 43:14little different every time you shoot.
- 43:17I think the one thing people just need to remember to do is
- 43:20give themselves times time with the change they made.
- 43:25You know, like you cannot just make the change, go the next day
- 43:30to the range and shoot. But it didn't make a difference.
- 43:32Let me make another change. Well, how about try shooting
- 43:36with it for a week or two weeks before you decide if it's you or
- 43:42you know your bars aren't sitting.
- 43:45You know, in a way that most benefits you.
- 43:49One, one shoot at the range does not make the answer, you know,
- 43:57affirmative or negative. And so that I think is key is
- 44:02just give yourself time with every experimental change that
- 44:06you make, whether it's a season in a hunting rig or a couple
- 44:09weeks with a target rig or whatever.
- 44:13Yeah, I'm, I, I agree with that. The other thing too is, you
- 44:18know, I'm, I'm much quicker now to click the site like mid
- 44:26match. So like for example, in Arizona,
- 44:28people could go watch the 2 videos, but in the first video,
- 44:33day one, everything was hitting really good.
- 44:36I had a good day, bow was solid. And then day 2, I mean, the
- 44:40first shot was a 5, right? Second shot was A8, right?
- 44:44Third was a 5, right? And this is bad.
- 44:47It's going really bad and rather than just keep working on it, I
- 44:51just started clicking and by like target 5 or 6, I started
- 44:54ringing twelves, like a lot of twelves and ended up getting the
- 44:57win. But you could see in that video
- 45:01that had I not have moved it when I did, I would have been
- 45:04cooked and I should have actually probably moved it like
- 45:06a little bit sooner. I think I've moved on like
- 45:08target 5. I probably should have on like
- 45:10target 3, but but indoor, you know, for example, I really have
- 45:17been trying to like as I'm, as I'm filling out the paper, like
- 45:22see, OK, is it at all right at all at all high, at all low.
- 45:27And and then I'll try to actually page calls them comfort
- 45:31clicks. So I've been trying to do that.
- 45:32Like if they're a little bit right, I'll just throw like 2
- 45:34clicks. That's not going to do shit,
- 45:36really. Yeah, the micro.
- 45:38They're very, very small. So it's like I've been a little
- 45:41bit better at that. So like in Vegas, you know, if I
- 45:43shoot the first, you know, two, first two practice ends and like
- 45:47every arrows like right side of the X or whatever, I'm going to
- 45:50just like throw a couple clicks, right.
- 45:52And what that reminds me, one thing I still need to do is
- 45:55bring in some tape to to the range and, and leave my little
- 46:00notes on which way to move the sights.
- 46:02That way I don't get confused when I'm there, like some
- 46:06packing tape. Well, not packing tape because
- 46:07it's clear. Trainer's tape would be great.
- 46:10So just make those little notes so that way I don't get in this
- 46:13bind in Vegas where I'm like, I want to move it, but I don't
- 46:16remember for sure which way to move it.
- 46:18So I'll have a note. Well, when you go tomorrow, just
- 46:21go with some painters. Tape and a marker, but yeah,
- 46:26that's that's exciting. We got that coming up.
- 46:29Vegas couple. I mean, actually when this pod
- 46:31comes out, it'll be one week till we leave.
- 46:34So it's right around the corner. And then shoot a day after this
- 46:40podcast comes out, we'll be leaving for the outdoor
- 46:42tournament in Arizona. So that's interesting.
- 46:47I haven't really shot outdoor at all, but I'm a lot more
- 46:50confident in outdoor. So like I I need to go shoot
- 46:53that bowl like one day and I think that'll be enough
- 46:55practice. I'll feel confident with it, but
- 46:59stay tuned for that. And if you guys are watching,
- 47:02listening or watching this podcast, we will have two videos
- 47:05coming out from that. It's part of the Triple Crown
- 47:07series, so that'll be really good.
- 47:09And then immediately following is Vegas, and I think we're
- 47:12going to try to do it daily videos while we're there in
- 47:15Vegas. So definitely stay tuned.
- 47:17We'll have stuff hot off the hot off the press and we'll have
- 47:21Brianna and Ty, they're filming and doing photos.
- 47:25So our contents going to be really, really good.
- 47:28And yeah, I don't know how's, how's your confidence and, and
- 47:32how I'll perform in, in Vegas. Good.
- 47:35I think, I think just years of having done YouTube now and, and
- 47:40talking to strangers and and crowds at TAC and whatnot, I
- 47:46don't think that'll phase you too much.
- 47:49I think the the only phasing you thing will be just the fact that
- 47:53this is the first time you've ever done it.
- 47:57And that'll be the only thing I think that will cause you a
- 48:00little bit of nerves. And once you've gotten past your
- 48:04first day, I think then those nerves will subside.
- 48:08I don't think crowds will play a factor.
- 48:10I don't think that. I think the one positive thing
- 48:13that you have working towards you is that you are a very
- 48:16competitive shooter. Like you're just a competitive
- 48:21person and you know, like you don't ever just let me win.
- 48:27Just just let me freaking win. No.
- 48:32So I think even if there are a little bit of nerves on that
- 48:36first day of this being like, OK, this is the first time I'm
- 48:38doing it. Like I want to perform well.
- 48:41You also somehow put those nerves to your benefit of
- 48:47saying, no, I will do well because I want, I want to get a
- 48:53900. And so you almost like turn
- 48:57those nerves into like a drive. And I think that's a, you know,
- 49:04some level of competitiveness is a good thing for for stuff like
- 49:09this or, you know, competitions in general, because it helps it
- 49:18helps negate the nerves, you know, and it's not, I mean, I
- 49:23guess yes and no for you. That's how it works typically is
- 49:26what I've seen for that's not to say that's how it works for
- 49:30everybody. Sometimes that Dr. creates more
- 49:33nerves and kind of over stimulate yourself into causing
- 49:37too much pressure on yourself. Not every person handles it or
- 49:44compartmentalizes it the same way, but for you that's the way
- 49:48it works I feel like. Yeah.
- 49:52And I, I got to give you a little bit of credit too,
- 49:54because one thing you used to do that would really like not, it
- 49:58just wouldn't help me be better is like when I'd make a bad shot
- 50:01and you were filming or whatever, you go like you'd
- 50:04freaking out. And I remember one time I was
- 50:05like, you got to stop doing that.
- 50:07Then you are like kind of pissed I said that, but I was like, no,
- 50:10I'm telling you that's not good for my mind.
- 50:12Because I think one thing I do really well is like in Vegas,
- 50:16for example, like let's say I shoot a nine on round 3 or
- 50:19whatever, I'm really good at going.
- 50:21All right, I shot A9. Let's let's just, I'm just going
- 50:25to, I'm just going to drain them.
- 50:26It is what it is. It's in the past.
- 50:27But when I hear you or anyone else go like and really freak
- 50:32out that I'm like it, it makes me overwhelmed.
- 50:35So I got to give you credit because you, you, you have you,
- 50:38you've gotten much better at that.
- 50:40I think like when we're in Arizona to.
- 50:42Be quiet. When we're in Arizona and I went
- 50:44through that bad streak, like normally, I think your reaction
- 50:48wouldn't have been the best. It took everything in my power
- 50:51to not every single first five targets say, can Ioffer you some
- 50:56shade? Please let me offer you some
- 50:59shade. No, but, but look, I mean, the
- 51:01result was still good because I, I, I'm good at recovering.
- 51:04I think that's what I'm really, really pretty good at.
- 51:06So yeah, I mean, I think it'll be good.
- 51:09I I'm excited. I just think that it'll be fun
- 51:12for our whole group. And yeah, we'll see.
- 51:17I, I, I'm excited to, to get there and like be, get it done.
- 51:23Like I'm excited to be past it. Sort of like how I felt like
- 51:27when I went to Africa and I was like pretty nervous about
- 51:29traveling that far by myself and stuff.
- 51:32And I remember thinking to myself like I'll be so stoked
- 51:34when I'm like back home. And then it's like in the past,
- 51:37I can just like already. Done it now.
- 51:39Yeah, so like that's how I feel right now about Vegas is like
- 51:42I'm excited to do the work and then be back and then just like
- 51:47think about it, you know, and I imagine like I'm not going to
- 51:52say for sure whether or not I'll do it again.
- 51:54Like this could be a one off, but I would say it's probably
- 51:57more likely than not I'll do it again.
- 51:59But you know, we just never know so.
- 52:01Yeah. If y'all are going to be at
- 52:03Vegas and want to watch, I'm doing the flights open.
- 52:08I think it's called open flights.
- 52:10So if you guys want to, you know, watch or whatever, feel
- 52:12free. Brianna and Ty will be there.
- 52:15They'll be busy though. Don't talk to them.
- 52:16They're doing work. But you know, then of course
- 52:18I'll be shooting. But it's going to be fun.
- 52:21Yeah, and I think the what I'm excited to, you know, get past
- 52:26it and get all the videos out about it.
- 52:28It's just because it's the final culmination of the fact that you
- 52:35doing this was strictly like an experimental thing for yourself
- 52:40to say like, OK, I've shot, you know, as a kid, little tread
- 52:44bows. I've shot, you know, compound
- 52:48bows. I've done hunting and I've done
- 52:503D shoots. Like, So what haven't I done
- 52:54yet? And let me try to do it.
- 52:56There was never this like pompous.
- 53:00Let me go in there and show them that this is easy.
- 53:03Never. Not a single time was that ever
- 53:06your motivation, your reasoning, your what you wanted to showcase
- 53:11or prove. And just because I and you know,
- 53:16more target content has been coming out and thus there are
- 53:21more haters, you could call them in the comment keyboard
- 53:25warriors, whatever. I'm excited to get past it
- 53:28because it's the culmination of, hey, I was doing this just to
- 53:34see what I could do. And here it is.
- 53:39This is what I could do. There was never, I'm going to go
- 53:42in and win flights. Like, no, it's just, it's the,
- 53:47it's like when you study for a test until the test finally
- 53:52comes around and then you finally get your, your results
- 53:55back. And it was like, OK, this is,
- 53:57you know, all of the work I've been doing culminated to this.
- 54:00And this is how I performed with the bow that I experimented
- 54:04with, practiced with, put together, tested, tried out and
- 54:12under pressure and a new experience.
- 54:14This is, this is the results. I'm excited to get to that on
- 54:19film and and then keep going from there.
- 54:23Because ultimately, as other comments that you know, the more
- 54:27majority of them, more majority have proven is that like it's
- 54:31shown other people and thus other people have commented that
- 54:36you can go out and try something new for funsies.
- 54:40And maybe you can't go buy a $2000 Target rig and put $500
- 54:45stabilizers on it and whatever. You can take your old hunting
- 54:50bow or your hunting bow post hunting season and swap it over
- 54:54for a couple little changes. And we've talked about videos
- 54:57for that in the future. But you can go make a couple
- 55:01little changes and then have a rig that you can use during
- 55:05target season for indoor, whether it's just a practice for
- 55:08funsies to see how you compete with yourself because that's
- 55:11truly the only person, especially during all the
- 55:15practice you're competing with. It's nobody else but yourself in
- 55:19your own mind and practice and all that can do is make you
- 55:24better come hunting season again.
- 55:27And lots of people have then said, I'm going to go try this.
- 55:32And that's the whole, again, what this podcast started with.
- 55:36It's the whole point for doing it.
- 55:38It's just more people get out there and do the sport.
- 55:42And I'm sorry, if you think that's a bad thing, I will say
- 55:46it. You are wrong.
- 55:47You're wrong. You're 110% wrong.
- 55:52Because there's only going to be.
- 55:54And I and I, I did some, I did research talking, I think it was
- 55:57when you were out in Texas. I was talking to Connie and Ted
- 55:59about it because it was maybe you were back by the time I
- 56:01mentioned it, But I got thinking for whatever.
- 56:05Oh, I was watching Little House on the Prairie and I was
- 56:08thinking about the population on Earth at the time.
- 56:10Little House on the Prairie was based not when it was filmed,
- 56:14but when it was based around and looking at the population growth
- 56:18just in like, you know, several 100 years.
- 56:22First, only the last 100 years and it was like it over doubled,
- 56:28just over doubled by a lot just in the last 100 years.
- 56:34And so I was like holy moly. And then so I was like when then
- 56:37I went down the rabbit hole of when is the population going to
- 56:41decline pretty. Soon. 20802080 But you know how
- 56:45many it is by by like 200,000 which is nothing in a world of
- 56:4910 point I think 8 billion I think in the.
- 56:52USI think in the US it'll it'll reduce sooner than that.
- 56:55Yeah, maybe. But overall?
- 56:56Worldwide, yeah. And so but, and I go down this
- 57:00whole rabbit hole now to say that the population is massive.
- 57:07So if you think there's a lot of hunters out there, I'm sorry,
- 57:10but it's not in comparison to the people who don't hunt.
- 57:14Well, that doesn't matter because what does matter is the
- 57:16amount of hunters to the amount of public land we have to hunt
- 57:19on. Again, you are freaking wrong
- 57:23because it does matter. I don't care if you think
- 57:26there's First off, we ain't actually getting out there and
- 57:29hunting the percentage of public land that is available for you
- 57:33to hunt. Get in your little Mazda and
- 57:35drive your little ass to the next state.
- 57:39Buy your out of state hunting license and don't be afraid to
- 57:42actually hike a few more miles in then today than you did
- 57:45yesterday. I'm sorry if it's not right off
- 57:47your backyard that's public land because you're too lazy to go
- 57:51out there and do it. And I'm not saying I go hike 25
- 57:54miles every day that I go hunting, but you can add an
- 57:57extra mile to get a little further.
- 57:59It's not going to kill your legs or your health.
- 58:02And so this whole complaint of there's too many hunters to the
- 58:06amount of land that we have. No, you're just wrong.
- 58:08You're just not getting in there to access it.
- 58:11And then there's the, oh, well, it's, you know, blocked off by
- 58:14all these laws. I don't care.
- 58:16Even if you negate the land that's blocked off by private
- 58:18land, there's still plenty of public land for your ass to get
- 58:21out there and hunt on and not see another hunter for a week.
- 58:24I have seen it. Well, there, there you have it.
- 58:28OK, I. Will finish my rant.
- 58:31Oh yeah, well, you're cut off. Thank you guys a lot for
