- 0:28Speaker 1: take it to Thanksgiving, and you can really get into
- 0:31Speaker 1: arguments with your friends and family. You can hurt feelings,
- 0:34Speaker 1: you can end friendships, possible divorce. This is the game
- 0:38Speaker 1: that is really going to ruin your holidays. Go to
- 0:43Speaker 1: exactly right store dot com and you can buy all
- 0:46Speaker 1: of our merch there, of course, but now we have

- 0:51Speaker 1: you have to get or you can google. I said,
- 0:54Speaker 1: no Gifts merch. Sometimes that's easier if you don't want

- 1:01Speaker 1: live episode.

- 1:49Speaker 3: personsoner and I'm already have too much stuff.
- 1:55Speaker 1: So how did dissobidity me?
- 1:59Speaker 4: Sounds like I'm about to cry. I'm not. And then
- 2:03Speaker 4: there's this cool bit Welcome to? I said, no gifts.
- 2:12Speaker 4: I'm Bridge of Wine again.
- 2:18Speaker 1: Come over, is this microphone working? This microphone is working?
- 2:23Speaker 1: Oh no, what the hell? If this is moving? Loud
- 2:25Speaker 1: for Lily everybody. Unbelievable, unbelievable. You will not be invited back.
- 2:32Speaker 1: Welcome to, I said, no gifts. I'm Bridger Wineger.
- 2:38Speaker 5: We're in go on us.
- 2:44Speaker 1: We can all picture backyard picture helicopters non stop overhead
- 2:50Speaker 1: children screaming. I took a red Eye here, which a
- 2:54Speaker 1: direct flight, and if anyone knows me, I prefer a
- 2:58Speaker 1: connecting flight and we can get into that later. It
- 3:02Speaker 1: is the better way to fly. I don't want to
- 3:06Speaker 1: fight about it. I was in boarding group F so
- 3:09Speaker 1: that was nice, but I'm here. Annalise Nelson unfortunately couldn't
- 3:15Speaker 1: be here tonight. They were detained at the airport. The
- 3:21Speaker 1: last thing I said to them was let me know
- 3:23Speaker 1: if anything changes, and I haven't heard so on. Lise
- 3:26Speaker 1: is not here, but we're going to try to keep
- 3:28Speaker 1: things going. And none of you are safe. They're not
- 3:33Speaker 1: here to protect you. See all the doors. What else
- 3:36Speaker 1: do we have to talk about? A former Fort Green
- 3:39Speaker 1: resident here? Do you have anybody from Fort Green? Do
- 3:47Speaker 1: you still think about me? Yes? I was in Fort
- 3:52Speaker 1: Green for a year and then I had to get out.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Whatever there were rats. Look, I'm just gonna say something.
- 3:59Speaker 1: You're all gonna be very disappointed. We almost had the
- 4:02Speaker 1: ratsar here tonight. Rats are Kathleen is unfortunately out of town,
- 4:10Speaker 1: but the fact that she was possibly going to be
- 4:13Speaker 1: here is just unbelievable. We'll have to book her at
- 4:17Speaker 1: another point. But let's let's get into the show here.
- 4:20Speaker 1: I you know, there's something we do on the show
- 4:24Speaker 1: which is give away some of the beautiful items that
- 4:28Speaker 1: I've received over the years, not because I don't want
- 4:32Speaker 1: my home full of garbage, but because I care. And
- 4:37Speaker 1: so we've got three. Look at this. Can you imagine
- 4:40Speaker 1: a more adorable bag?
- 4:42Speaker 6: Look at that?
- 4:43Speaker 1: That's so cute. Some little baby booties. I'm gonna pick
- 4:47Speaker 1: three people from the audience. And I have to say,
- 4:50Speaker 1: when I booked this, I did not realize there was
- 4:52Speaker 1: this much standing room. There is not a worse podcast
- 4:57Speaker 1: in the world to have to stand through. So I apologize,
- 5:02Speaker 1: and I'm doing nothing about it. But here I come, here,
- 5:05Speaker 1: I come. Let's find some people here. And if this
- 5:10Speaker 1: is something you don't want to do, be honest with me.
- 5:12Speaker 1: Tell me your feelings. I'm not dragging you on stage.
- 5:15Speaker 1: If you don't want to be here, we will pick
- 5:17Speaker 1: somebody standing up first.
- 5:19Speaker 7: We have to.
- 5:19Speaker 1: That's only fair. It's only fair to let them sit
- 5:22Speaker 1: for a minute. Let's see here, Oh, I mean, someone's
- 5:27Speaker 1: pointing at a person. I don't pick when they're being
- 5:29Speaker 1: pointed at because that person might be, you know, uncomfortable.
- 5:32Speaker 1: Let's see here. Would you like to come up? What's
- 5:36Speaker 1: your name? Paul?
- 5:37Speaker 7: Paul?
- 5:38Speaker 1: Go to the stage? Now? Okay, Now, let's see. You're
- 5:42Speaker 1: all discovering how small I am. Uh, let's see here.
- 5:47Speaker 1: Boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo. Would
- 5:50Speaker 1: you like to are you sure? Okay? What's your name?
- 5:55Speaker 1: Elena to the stage. Okay, Now, let's I and I
- 6:01Speaker 1: know people love someone just picking people from an audience
- 6:03Speaker 1: for long periods of time, So I'm going to extend this.
- 6:07Speaker 1: Let's see here.
- 6:08Speaker 6: Boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo boo.
- 6:11Speaker 1: I wish Kathleen the Ratsar was here. Let's see here,
- 6:16Speaker 1: let's see. How about you? What's your name?
- 6:19Speaker 8: Jacob?
- 6:19Speaker 1: Jacob, come to the stage. I'm going there as well. Okay, okay,
- 6:29Speaker 1: there's a seat here, take a seat. Well, that's this
- 6:34Speaker 1: is the perfect podcast to be presumptuous. Yeah, take a seat.
- 6:38Speaker 1: Let's see. Do you each have a microphone? Oh now,
- 6:40Speaker 1: now it's becoming a problem. This is clearly my seat. Yeah,
- 6:50Speaker 1: it's fine, everything's fine. Okay, I'm you know the outfits
- 6:55Speaker 1: I choose to wear for this thing. Let me just
- 6:58Speaker 1: take a quick drink. I'm sorry. We're gonna play Gift
- 7:02Speaker 1: or a Curse? Do you all know how to play?
- 7:04Speaker 1: I would be so humiliating for me if you didn't
- 7:06Speaker 1: know how to play this. Okay, so remind me of
- 7:09Speaker 1: your name. Okay, here we go. I'm putting in my password.
- 7:16Speaker 1: My password is my computer. There's nothing on here, okay,
- 7:22Speaker 1: and then we're gonna oh the gloves. See, this is
- 7:24Speaker 1: why the glove is one little problem for the show. Okay,
- 7:28Speaker 1: we're getting into it now, there's gonna be nothing on
- 7:30Speaker 1: that screen, so you can just turn away. Now, Okay,
- 7:35Speaker 1: you're up. You're each going to get two. You're gonna
- 7:37Speaker 1: have to tell me if they are a gift or
- 7:39Speaker 1: a curse and why. And you can absolutely lose in
- 7:42Speaker 1: front of an entire your friends and family, your community,
- 7:45Speaker 1: and that would be awful. But you can also win
- 7:49Speaker 1: two options number one gift or a curse. Heated steering
- 7:54Speaker 1: wheels gift?
- 7:57Speaker 7: Why because it's a little luxury. What's wrong with that?
- 8:04Speaker 7: That seems lovely. It's unnecessary, but it makes life a
- 8:08Speaker 7: little nicer if you have thyroid problem.
- 8:12Speaker 8: Oh, here we go.
- 8:13Speaker 1: Now this makes it impossible for or Hashi Moto syndrome,
- 8:18Speaker 1: and you have cold hands. My back is against the wall.
- 8:28Speaker 8: It's a gift. It's a gift.
- 8:32Speaker 1: Look, it may lead to a lot of sweaty palms
- 8:35Speaker 1: sliding all over the steering wheel, which seems like an issue,
- 8:39Speaker 1: but what you've just described makes them a gift and
- 8:42Speaker 1: well played. Okay, and I should I should say these
- 8:47Speaker 1: all came from Instagram yesterday. Everyone just poured in these
- 8:50Speaker 1: things in a way that I didn't look. I don't
- 8:53Speaker 1: believe in any of you, so it was a real
- 8:56Speaker 1: surprise for me. No, they're fantastic. Okay. Number two gift
- 9:00Speaker 1: or a curse? Hulu with ads?
- 9:05Speaker 5: Curse?
- 9:06Speaker 1: Why the ads?
- 9:10Speaker 7: I don't want to watch ads ever, period fifty.
- 9:15Speaker 1: It's a gift I love. I am here to tell
- 9:18Speaker 1: you you want these things with ads? Don't you want
- 9:20Speaker 1: a little break from paying attention? Don't you want an
- 9:24Speaker 1: allotted time to look at your phone and see and
- 9:27Speaker 1: then we're all The only thing all of us know
- 9:29Speaker 1: anymore is commercials, and to have that is a bonding
- 9:33Speaker 1: moment for everyone. Get rid of the premium unsubscribe from
- 9:37Speaker 1: all of your streaming services. Why not? But if you
- 9:40Speaker 1: have to use them, you've got to get them with
- 9:41Speaker 1: the ads. Okay, so you did technically win. Let's see here.
- 9:48Speaker 1: Let's see here. Oh though, Okay, this is a very
- 9:54Speaker 1: nice gift. You want to open it up? Sure? Yeah.
- 10:02Speaker 1: It's a twenty twenty three friends calendar with a bunch
- 10:09Speaker 1: of memes we all know, we all remember I whitened them.
- 10:22Speaker 1: This is from Jackie Johnson, the wonderful Jackie Johnson and
- 10:25Speaker 1: if you wait, I think six years you'll be able
- 10:27Speaker 1: to use it again. There's a T shirt and to
- 10:32Speaker 1: take care of that friend's calendar, there's a T shirt
- 10:34Speaker 1: for you. So that's that's worth something that's worth big money.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Ah okay, remind me your name, Paul, Paul? Are you ready?
- 10:41Speaker 8: Hope?
- 10:42Speaker 1: So putting the password in again again? That's m y
- 10:45Speaker 1: CEO MPU t e er Number one gift to a
- 10:50Speaker 1: curse when a CEO sends an email on behalf of
- 10:54Speaker 1: a brand saying, my team is going to hate this.
- 10:56Speaker 1: I shouldn't be doing this. It's twenty percent off.
- 11:02Speaker 9: That is absolutely a gift because anytime you get those emails,
- 11:08Speaker 9: those communications that are just so transparently transactional where it's
- 11:14Speaker 9: I have to lower myself. The people whose job it
- 11:17Speaker 9: is to control me simply can't control me. I love
- 11:20Speaker 9: that that pamn to seem humane, to seem like it's
- 11:25Speaker 9: not horribly orchestrated. To save a massive twenty percent is
- 11:33Speaker 9: just I can't say incomparable because that would be a little.
- 11:35Speaker 6: Bit too much.
- 11:36Speaker 9: But it's wonderful.
- 11:38Speaker 1: It's a gift. Absolutely, it's a gift. Thank you, CEOs
- 11:43Speaker 1: fording you know, standing up against your teams, those horrible
- 11:47Speaker 1: people who don't want to give twenty percent of and
- 11:49Speaker 1: emailing me personally. It's such a nice thing for these
- 11:53Speaker 1: people to reach out. Gift okay, number two, gift or
- 11:56Speaker 1: a curse. Pulling up next to someone, when someone you
- 11:59Speaker 1: know at a red.
- 12:00Speaker 9: Light, Oh, that that is an absolute curse because you're
- 12:05Speaker 9: you're glancing over at them, you're waving. You you can't
- 12:08Speaker 9: honk because then they're gonna think something's wrong, that they're
- 12:11Speaker 9: they pissed somebody off. So you're waving like an idiot.
- 12:14Speaker 9: You're trying to do I roll down the windows and
- 12:16Speaker 9: shout at them. And there is absolutely no right choice
- 12:20Speaker 9: in the situation. There is no victory. At best, you
- 12:23Speaker 9: hopefully get their attention and they go, oh hi, and and.
- 12:27Speaker 1: For what It's a curse. It's a curse. It's a curse.
- 12:31Speaker 1: We all agree that's the one of the worst feelings
- 12:35Speaker 1: on earth. That is a huge, absolute bottom element of
- 12:39Speaker 1: human feeling. Uh. But on the other hand, pulling up
- 12:43Speaker 1: next to someone who cut you off the dream better
- 12:46Speaker 1: than becoming president, like the power you feel. Oh so
- 12:52Speaker 1: you got two out of two incredible? Okay, here we go.
- 12:56Speaker 1: Do you want to open that up?
- 12:58Speaker 8: All right?
- 12:59Speaker 1: Thank you and see what's happening. Isn't that bag?
- 13:03Speaker 9: Here's the book.
- 13:04Speaker 1: Oh, it's every man's battle, winning the.
- 13:08Speaker 9: War on sexual temptation, one victory at a time.
- 13:12Speaker 1: I stand by this book. I tried to get one
- 13:15Speaker 1: for everyone in the audience. But you are gonna love this.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Your life is going to turn around in a way
- 13:21Speaker 1: that you don't understand, and then you'll pass it on
- 13:25Speaker 1: to someone else. It's kind of like the ring that's
- 13:29Speaker 1: from James Austin Johnson. I used it. I got my
- 13:31Speaker 1: life back on track, and now I want to return
- 13:34Speaker 1: the favor to you.
- 13:35Speaker 5: Thank you so much.
- 13:35Speaker 1: Of course, remind me your name. Oh, let's all give
- 13:39Speaker 1: him a hand. That was very well placed. Jacob, Jacob.
- 13:46Speaker 1: Time for gift. You're a curse. My computer's still open.
- 13:49Speaker 1: Number one gift, You're a curse. Millennial influencers talking about
- 13:54Speaker 1: their little family.
- 14:00Speaker 8: Gift.
- 14:01Speaker 1: Why?
- 14:06Speaker 8: How good do you feel about your choices when you
- 14:12Speaker 8: watch these?
- 14:17Speaker 1: Of course you're right talking to my little family here.
- 14:25Speaker 1: I think we all agree that we love when you
- 14:28Speaker 1: know Heather from high school is posting about her little
- 14:31Speaker 1: family feels incredible. What a warm feeling. Okay, one out
- 14:36Speaker 1: of one so far are very good. Number two gift
- 14:38Speaker 1: or a curse someone suggesting their therapist or doctor.
- 14:46Speaker 10: This is a New York specific one. So I'm gonna
- 14:48Speaker 10: say blessing or gift.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Okay, okay, because I don't know what podcasts you're listening to,
- 14:55Speaker 1: but we've got exits.
- 14:56Speaker 10: Everywhere, because how many people don't have a primary care doctor.
- 15:04Speaker 6: So if you have a good one, let me know.
- 15:09Speaker 1: You're right. It's a gift for two reasons. First, for
- 15:13Speaker 1: this one, none of my friends won't tell me their therapist.
- 15:15Speaker 1: I don't know why. Maybe I'm too much of a
- 15:17Speaker 1: person for their therapist. But also, when you do it unsolicited,
- 15:21Speaker 1: I mean, when someone does that, that's very interesting to hear.
- 15:24Speaker 1: We love what a move to say, I've got a
- 15:27Speaker 1: therapist for you. I love that behavior. I support it. Okay,
- 15:32Speaker 1: will you pass this gift down to him? All right?
- 15:40Speaker 1: Reach in there. Okay. Now I have to apologize in advance.
- 15:44Speaker 1: I have to be very clear. I got this at
- 15:47Speaker 1: the last live show from Carl Tart in Los Angeles.
- 15:52Speaker 1: At the last show, we had some some menaces when
- 15:55Speaker 1: I gave away gifts, and I thought Carl lives in
- 15:57Speaker 1: LA I can give this away. Safety's garbage. I could
- 16:01Speaker 1: not possibly want that in my life. And it's you're
- 16:06Speaker 1: not going to enjoy it.
- 16:07Speaker 2: And hold your horses, mister postman. What that's right, Carl,
- 16:14Speaker 2: that's me.
- 16:17Speaker 8: I snuck in here like a thief in the night.
- 16:19Speaker 2: Nobody saw me, Nobody saw me sit down. Nobody saw
- 16:24Speaker 2: the stage manager come and take this big old microphone
- 16:27Speaker 2: from my hand. Nobody saw it.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Did you follow me here?
- 16:33Speaker 2: I did? I followed you here. I even moved to
- 16:37Speaker 2: Fort Green. Can you believe it?
- 16:40Speaker 1: Oh?
- 16:40Speaker 8: And that is true.
- 16:42Speaker 2: I am a new resident of the Fort Green area.
- 16:46Speaker 1: We love the Fort Green area, except for that evil
- 16:48Speaker 1: building they're building there.
- 16:49Speaker 8: That's where I live, that's where you live. I'm the batman.
- 16:56Speaker 1: Well, Carl, I don't understand you have a problem.
- 16:58Speaker 2: Yeah, how are you gonna say that's garbage? That's good
- 17:01Speaker 2: stuff right there, that's real tree cologne.
- 17:07Speaker 1: Well what do you want me to do about it?
- 17:08Speaker 1: Do you want to reclaim it?
- 17:10Speaker 11: Yeah?
- 17:10Speaker 2: If you don't want it, I'll take it back. I'm
- 17:12Speaker 2: a new resident of New York. I'm trying to date.
- 17:16Speaker 2: I hear dating here is much easier than it is
- 17:18Speaker 2: in Los Angeles because everybody in Hollywood is an actor.
- 17:22Speaker 1: Well, if you want it so bad, why don't you
- 17:24Speaker 1: come up and win it? Well?
- 17:25Speaker 8: I guess I will.
- 17:26Speaker 1: Okay, let's see how about that now, Carl. At the
- 17:32Speaker 1: last show you redeemed yourself. You were the first loser
- 17:35Speaker 1: at this game, and then you won last time. Okay,
- 17:39Speaker 1: you're putting it all on the line.
- 17:40Speaker 8: I'll sit over here the perfect place.
- 17:46Speaker 5: Are you.
- 17:47Speaker 1: This is gonna be one out of one, okay, and
- 17:49Speaker 1: you're both gonna answer, and then i'll tell you who's
- 17:51Speaker 1: right and who gets to smell great for another year?
- 17:54Speaker 8: All right?
- 17:56Speaker 1: Okay, Gift, You're a curse? Someone giving you a book
- 18:00Speaker 1: as a gift, then asking over and over if you've
- 18:02Speaker 1: read it, Jacob, Gift, why.
- 18:12Speaker 6: You get to talk with your friend more?
- 18:17Speaker 1: This show's becoming very sentimental. I'm not not entirely on
- 18:22Speaker 1: board with it. Carl, how do you feel.
- 18:24Speaker 2: An absolute curse? And I'll tell you why. I'm a
- 18:27Speaker 2: people pleaser. So then I'll go and I'll read that book.
- 18:29Speaker 2: But I don't get through books very fast. And now
- 18:32Speaker 2: I just moved here and I take the train places.
- 18:36Speaker 2: Have you guys heard of this thing. It's awful. It's
- 18:42Speaker 2: the worst thing I've ever been a part of. I
- 18:45Speaker 2: don't care what none of y'all say. It's so convenient. Oh,
- 18:48Speaker 2: I guess you everywhere go to hell. The train is disgusting.
- 18:54Speaker 1: And if I get through a Curse subway.
- 18:57Speaker 2: But I have to say that because that's the only
- 19:00Speaker 2: time that I'll probably have to read the book is
- 19:02Speaker 2: on the s way, and then I'll be stabbed by
- 19:04Speaker 2: a rant. So you're saying, curse, curse, Oh, Jacob, you
- 19:14Speaker 2: win the cologne.
- 19:17Speaker 1: It's a gift. It's a gift. I want my friends
- 19:20Speaker 1: checking in on me. I want those calls in the
- 19:22Speaker 1: middle of the night. I want them showing up. Did
- 19:25Speaker 1: you read the book? It shows they care about the
- 19:27Speaker 1: gift and they care about me, And that's all what
- 19:29Speaker 1: I want for my friends is their undivided attention. So
- 19:33Speaker 1: you win, and Carl, unfortunately you you blew it.
- 19:36Speaker 2: Another year of cursed single without my real Tree cologne.
- 19:45Speaker 2: It atters, Hodie, you know, Carl Tart, everybody, I'm going
- 19:52Speaker 2: to keep the mic and chime in from time to time.
- 19:58Speaker 1: You three have done a great job. Everybody, give them
- 20:00Speaker 1: a hand wonderful. Enjoy those gorgeous gifts. And you reuse
- 20:07Speaker 1: those bags, people will be impressed. People will love those bags.
- 20:11Speaker 1: Those each costed a dollar seventy nine. Okay, So I
- 20:17Speaker 1: forgot to do something, and I've been sweating because I
- 20:21Speaker 1: was supposed to do this before they came up, which
- 20:23Speaker 1: is take off this robe. So I'm in a place
- 20:26Speaker 1: right now where my face is wet. Okay, So at
- 20:30Speaker 1: the last show, I wore a particular thing. I don't
- 20:34Speaker 1: What I have to say is I don't get a
- 20:35Speaker 1: lot of clothing on this podcast, and I think that
- 20:37Speaker 1: speaks to the quality of guests we're getting. I should
- 20:40Speaker 1: be receiving better clothing and more clothing, and so I
- 20:43Speaker 1: don't have a lot of things to wear. And I
- 20:45Speaker 1: wore this gorgeous Kiki solet tunic and I kind of
- 20:49Speaker 1: felt like I painted myself into a corner. I didn't
- 20:51Speaker 1: want to do the same thing here, so I thought,
- 20:52Speaker 1: why not have another surprise with the other two pieces
- 20:55Speaker 1: of clothing that I got on the podcast. So I'm
- 20:57Speaker 1: gonna take this off and I'm just gonna apologize. Stop
- 21:08Speaker 1: looking at her. Okay, but this was supposed to take longer.
- 21:14Speaker 1: But you can you can see this is not stage
- 21:17Speaker 1: worthy clothing. These are These are from Rob Huebel, This
- 21:20Speaker 1: is from Dylan Galula and Brody Koped a sensible shirt
- 21:24Speaker 1: and these disgusting pants that Rob got for free. So
- 21:26Speaker 1: now I have to take this off. Oh so bear
- 21:30Speaker 1: with me here. Okay, Oh I did diet. I died
- 21:54Speaker 1: it for your pleasure. Thank god. Vagabond was on recently
- 21:59Speaker 1: and she can me this gorgeous yellow dye, and I thought,
- 22:01Speaker 1: what a good use for that. And look at me
- 22:03Speaker 1: using a different mic. That's how versatile I am. Uh So, okay,
- 22:07Speaker 1: we've got this on. And now, okay, I mentioned the
- 22:11Speaker 1: standing room, which I hate, but it does. We're always
- 22:13Speaker 1: trying to find a new way to make this show
- 22:14Speaker 1: more of a rock you know, it's a it's a
- 22:16Speaker 1: rock and roll show, I think, trying to bring these
- 22:19Speaker 1: elements of the true rock and roll nature of the show.
- 22:21Speaker 1: So I thought I was at a concert recently and
- 22:23Speaker 1: there was a beach ball being bandied about, so I
- 22:29Speaker 1: brought this. I do not want to see this in
- 22:32Speaker 1: the air. If I see it in the air, I
- 22:37Speaker 1: will rip it to shreds. So what we're gonna do
- 22:40Speaker 1: is pass it politely to each other until we hear
- 22:47Speaker 1: a sound effect? Could we hear the sound effect?
- 22:49Speaker 12: Beach ball? Beach ball?
- 22:53Speaker 1: Is that very clear? The last person with the beach
- 22:57Speaker 1: ball will of course they'll win something gorgeous. So there's
- 23:01Speaker 1: gonna be attension all night. And again, I cannot be
- 23:06Speaker 1: more clear. If it's in the air, the ball is
- 23:09Speaker 1: going to be ripped to shreds. I'm not getting around here,
- 23:16Speaker 1: So politely hand the ball around, please, and you know
- 23:21Speaker 1: if you if it gets to the last person, then
- 23:23Speaker 1: it goes back around. That's how the passing things works. Okay,
- 23:28Speaker 1: what's your name? Caitlin is the chief of the ball,
- 23:32Speaker 1: and we'll begin the ceremony. Now, incredible. If I'm distracted
- 23:40Speaker 1: by the ball, Oh boy, oh boy, oh boy, what
- 23:45Speaker 1: a program we've got tonight. And I haven't got every
- 23:49Speaker 1: I think I've gotten through all of our business. Here.
- 23:51Speaker 1: Is there anything I'm forget? Oh it sounds like someone's here.
- 23:57Speaker 1: Who could that possibly be?
- 24:00Speaker 7: Oh it's bowling?
- 24:01Speaker 11: Ey?
- 24:15Speaker 13: Hey, pressure, well, and welcome to I said no gifts
- 24:19Speaker 13: I brought.
- 24:19Speaker 5: I brought something.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Oh god, well, then put it away. I can't have em.
- 24:25Speaker 1: I'm trying to run a show here.
- 24:27Speaker 5: I missed, I missed.
- 24:28Speaker 14: The rats are talk what what what? What's been covered?
- 24:31Speaker 14: Kathleen was you know, she was supposed to be here.
- 24:33Speaker 1: It's a friend of a that we'll say a friend
- 24:35Speaker 1: a listener is a friend.
- 24:39Speaker 5: Mayor Eric.
- 24:40Speaker 1: He ran into some trouble and she's trying to bail
- 24:42Speaker 1: him out.
- 24:44Speaker 6: Uh.
- 24:44Speaker 1: And she's out of town, so she can't be here.
- 24:46Speaker 5: And I told you, well, there are rats in other cities.
- 24:49Speaker 1: And now she's on tour. And now she's on tour,
- 24:51Speaker 1: she's touring arenas, she's you know, it's a festival shows.
- 24:56Speaker 1: People are Kathleen totally what are you gonna be for Halloween?
- 25:02Speaker 14: We were just talking about this. I it's so like
- 25:06Speaker 14: it's it's basically cosplay. It's such a thin line between
- 25:10Speaker 14: Halloween costume that's like witty or whatever and like pure cosplaying.
- 25:16Speaker 14: Like the only psychic energy I have this year is
- 25:19Speaker 14: for cosplays. So there's a there's a character in Zelda
- 25:22Speaker 14: named Tingle and do you know tle?
- 25:24Speaker 1: My God, I googled, I hope everyone's played the latest
- 25:29Speaker 1: to Zelda video games? Yes again the exit.
- 25:32Speaker 3: Uh.
- 25:34Speaker 1: I googled why is Tingle not in Breath of the Wild? Yeah,
- 25:38Speaker 1: And there wasn't a clear answer.
- 25:39Speaker 5: There's no clear answer.
- 25:40Speaker 14: You can get a Tingle costume, you can get a
- 25:42Speaker 14: Tingle armor, but it's not the same.
- 25:44Speaker 1: Tingle is kind of a how do would you describe Tingle?
- 25:47Speaker 14: He's like an impish little uh. He manipulates time, I think.
- 25:52Speaker 1: And he's kind of like he's an adult man.
- 25:54Speaker 5: He's an adult man.
- 25:56Speaker 1: Uh in kind of a like almost like.
- 25:58Speaker 5: A costume and like a onesie.
- 26:00Speaker 14: He's a huge fan of the main character, yes, of Link.
- 26:05Speaker 5: I think he's just I think he's a fan of He's.
- 26:08Speaker 14: A participant of life, and that's what we should all be.
- 26:13Speaker 1: So you're going to be Tingled.
- 26:14Speaker 14: I'm gonna be Tingle, and I don't know what I'm
- 26:17Speaker 14: gonna do with it, but I ordered like an am
- 26:19Speaker 14: dais kind of a costume. I don't know, like something
- 26:22Speaker 14: mot motes Aret dropping his new single. Maybe that's that
- 26:26Speaker 14: he has a new he has a new song out?
- 26:28Speaker 6: He does?
- 26:29Speaker 5: Does he really?
- 26:30Speaker 14: They discovered like some new piece of music, right, yeah, okay, okay, yeah, But.
- 26:41Speaker 1: With Mozart, with these composers, I'm always like, well, but
- 26:44Speaker 1: that's not you on the record, Oh my god, cover damn,
- 26:52Speaker 1: where did you get the Tingle costume.
- 26:55Speaker 14: There's it's just like a cosplay website and so I I,
- 26:59Speaker 14: I don't know.
- 27:00Speaker 5: I'm not doing my best, but.
- 27:01Speaker 1: It feels like you're planning. You're going to be ready
- 27:04Speaker 1: for the thirty first. Yes, that's so exciting.
- 27:06Speaker 5: What are you gonna be? Have you? Have you talked
- 27:08Speaker 5: about this?
- 27:08Speaker 1: I don't know. I never know until the very last minute.
- 27:11Speaker 1: I haven't been. I don't think i've dressed up in
- 27:12Speaker 1: a couple of years. The last time I dressed I
- 27:15Speaker 1: was a woman having a horrible vacation and uh, something
- 27:20Speaker 1: that's always floating and I don't know, I haven't done
- 27:22Speaker 1: it yet. Cynthia Nixon, Oh my god, it's gonna happen
- 27:27Speaker 1: at some point. It feels like it's in my back
- 27:30Speaker 1: pocket all the time in case I can't think of
- 27:32Speaker 1: another costume, Like.
- 27:33Speaker 5: What kind of what form of Cynthia Nixon will you take?
- 27:38Speaker 1: Well, it's difficult because I'm not really a Miranda, so.
- 27:41Speaker 5: Not at all.
- 27:43Speaker 14: You do gilded age Cynthia. You could do Ama daya Cynthia.
- 27:47Speaker 14: She's an Ama Day, She's Amiday Young. Cynthia Nixon is
- 27:50Speaker 14: a nomou.
- 27:50Speaker 1: This is a This is a podcast exclusive. No One's
- 27:53Speaker 1: ever known that, but it is the only person who's
- 27:55Speaker 1: held that knowledge. Wow, who is she in Norma dayas? Okay,
- 28:01Speaker 1: that must be an Ami Davis fan. Who's this? Let's
- 28:04Speaker 1: see here, Let's see who's there. Oh I got Sydney Washington.
- 28:08Speaker 12: Oh my god, Oh Sydney, Welcome to I said, no gifts.
- 28:25Speaker 7: Hello, Hello, I am the gift.
- 28:26Speaker 1: You are always the gift. There's that, always the gift.
- 28:29Speaker 1: We were just talking about Halloween costumes.
- 28:31Speaker 7: Oh, I do see people who don't know me.
- 28:37Speaker 15: I'm like infamous for really fucking up on Halloween last year.
- 28:42Speaker 15: I used nail glue to put on vampire fangs.
- 28:48Speaker 7: And I didn't know.
- 28:49Speaker 11: I didn't.
- 28:49Speaker 15: I like, I know that your nails pop off sometimes,
- 28:52Speaker 15: so I was like, oh, the fangs are just gonna
- 28:53Speaker 15: pop off at the end of the night. And that's
- 28:56Speaker 15: not No, that's not how it works. So hell, don't
- 28:59Speaker 15: do that, don't you now?
- 29:00Speaker 7: Glue y'all?
- 29:00Speaker 1: How long were they on there?
- 29:02Speaker 7: Whole twenty four hours?
- 29:03Speaker 1: Oh that's terrifying.
- 29:04Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 29:05Speaker 15: My dentist saw everything go down on Instagram and he's like, Hey,
- 29:10Speaker 15: I'm in the Hampton's but I'm about to draw to
- 29:11Speaker 15: the city because you've got to get these off. And
- 29:15Speaker 15: I said, you're right, because I'm going to SNL that
- 29:17Speaker 15: night and I don't want to be in fang.
- 29:18Speaker 7: So he worked out for me.
- 29:21Speaker 1: Was it painful to get them off?
- 29:23Speaker 7: The drilled the nail is? Yeah, it was a mess. Yeah,
- 29:27Speaker 7: I asked him.
- 29:28Speaker 15: I said, how long have you been a dentist? He
- 29:29Speaker 15: said about thirty five years? And I say, how many
- 29:32Speaker 15: times have you seen this? He said four? Whoa, I'm
- 29:38Speaker 15: not the first baby, so that is a flex.
- 29:43Speaker 5: But tell everyone.
- 29:43Speaker 14: So Sidney did some like crowd sort of like sourcing
- 29:48Speaker 14: on like what to do, like non procedural solutions, right
- 29:52Speaker 14: and what were they like?
- 29:53Speaker 5: Soak your mouth in actone?
- 29:57Speaker 15: So I suggested that actone. The said, uh, vodka, but
- 30:03Speaker 15: I'm sober. So I was like, if I was a drinker,
- 30:06Speaker 15: absolutely and then and then what else did they say?
- 30:09Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 30:10Speaker 15: They said, oh, oh, olive oil. They said if I
- 30:12Speaker 15: just keep using olive oil, it was wild. I was like, oh,
- 30:15Speaker 15: y'all hate me and y'all want me to die.
- 30:17Speaker 1: Did you try the olive oil?
- 30:18Speaker 11: No you don't.
- 30:22Speaker 7: Yeah, you're saying I have a yeah, but they're dumb.
- 30:24Speaker 7: They're absolutely dumb.
- 30:26Speaker 1: Yeah, but was this your dentist following you or just
- 30:29Speaker 1: a dentist was like, I've got to save this person.
- 30:32Speaker 7: I have my own dentists.
- 30:34Speaker 1: Yeah, but he's following you on the Instagram.
- 30:37Speaker 7: Sorry, so that's a big head of me. I'm like,
- 30:39Speaker 7: I have my own dentists.
- 30:40Speaker 6: How dare you?
- 30:41Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 30:41Speaker 15: No, But other dentists were telling me, They're like, do
- 30:43Speaker 15: not listen to the internet.
- 30:45Speaker 7: They don't know, right, yeah?
- 30:46Speaker 1: Right? Oh, I'm glad you made it out. So what
- 30:48Speaker 1: are you going to be this year? Vampire?
- 30:50Speaker 7: No? I want to be.
- 30:52Speaker 15: I don't know if y'all saw Jojah Cat's Coachella performance,
- 30:57Speaker 15: but her dancers were like all hair, and so I
- 31:00Speaker 15: wanted to have like all hair costume, like cousin it
- 31:04Speaker 15: but blonde, y'all.
- 31:07Speaker 7: I'm not on board.
- 31:07Speaker 15: Okay, y'all gotta see the performance is dope. I just
- 31:11Speaker 15: want to run up to people like, ah, you know,
- 31:14Speaker 15: and then I want somebody to brush my you know,
- 31:15Speaker 15: it's cute. I have a vision, y'all. Not on board?
- 31:18Speaker 1: And do you have to just buy a bunch of
- 31:19Speaker 1: wigs so constructed or you're finding that online?
- 31:22Speaker 15: I would have to order bundles of like hair and
- 31:25Speaker 15: it's very expensive, so I'm not gonna do it.
- 31:27Speaker 1: Thousands of dollars I'm gonna I'm not gonna do it. Yeah,
- 31:31Speaker 1: that is Oh my god. People are just showing up
- 31:33Speaker 1: non stop. Who could that possibly be? Oh, it's dope, Jeff.
- 31:51Speaker 1: What if we didn't ask your Halloween costume? We just
- 31:53Speaker 1: started talking about something else. Okay, no, I want to.
- 31:58Speaker 6: Know what I'm gonna wear. Yes, well, I already told
- 32:06Speaker 6: Sydney this and she was like, I hate this answer.
- 32:11Speaker 7: Hear it, hear it.
- 32:12Speaker 6: Tell them I'm not gonna be in town, so I
- 32:16Speaker 6: probably am not gonna do anything.
- 32:20Speaker 1: Where are you going to be?
- 32:22Speaker 6: I have to be honest, I probably wouldn't do it
- 32:24Speaker 6: if I were in town either.
- 32:27Speaker 1: I understand.
- 32:27Speaker 6: I'm not really someone who attends social functions. So the
- 32:35Speaker 6: idea of just like dressing up from a cat, I
- 32:38Speaker 6: don't know it has diminishing returns.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Okay, well that's fair. I mean, I just admitted to
- 32:46Speaker 1: not wearing that many costumes a lot. It's a chore,
- 32:49Speaker 1: it's homework, it's difficult.
- 32:51Speaker 6: But also I have literally a closet full of wigs
- 32:55Speaker 6: and costumes. I don't I think I did sketch comedy
- 32:59Speaker 6: so long. It's like, right, I already had to buy
- 33:03Speaker 6: a dumb constant to play whatever character I had to
- 33:06Speaker 6: play for free.
- 33:07Speaker 15: Wow, we really sound washed up up here. Come on, Sween,
- 33:11Speaker 15: it's fun. Halloween is fun. One Halloween, I dressed up
- 33:15Speaker 15: as a as a Barbie and then I got kate
- 33:17Speaker 15: out and then I went to McDonald's and got and
- 33:20Speaker 15: got kicked out.
- 33:21Speaker 7: But I got a free sausage McMuffin, so.
- 33:23Speaker 1: He earned it.
- 33:26Speaker 7: We don't do that no more. Everybody's too busy.
- 33:31Speaker 6: They out, but they give you food.
- 33:34Speaker 15: Well, what happened was I was ordering it. I was
- 33:36Speaker 15: ordering my sausage and then I went into a k hole.
- 33:41Speaker 15: I had to catch you, and they were like, you
- 33:43Speaker 15: have to go. But then they gave me my sausage,
- 33:45Speaker 15: make my phone, and I have to.
- 33:47Speaker 7: Pay, So I was like.
- 33:48Speaker 15: All the homeless people were like, so we just need
- 33:50Speaker 15: to do k oh.
- 33:57Speaker 7: That's funny for me.
- 33:58Speaker 1: I was like, the big disappointment of this trip outside
- 34:04Speaker 1: of rats are is, I wanted to go to Heart Island.
- 34:07Speaker 1: Are you familiar with Heart Island?
- 34:09Speaker 6: I've heard of it, the one on the on the Hudson.
- 34:12Speaker 1: Yes, they've opened it to the public. There are a
- 34:15Speaker 1: million people buried there, and there's a I mean, it
- 34:19Speaker 1: seems like they tried to put every haunted thing they
- 34:21Speaker 1: could possibly put on this island, including probably a haunted carnival,
- 34:27Speaker 1: but maybe I think that's not on the list.
- 34:29Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 34:29Speaker 1: There was a prison, there was an asylum, there was
- 34:32Speaker 1: a what do you get where do they put people
- 34:35Speaker 1: with typhoid?
- 34:36Speaker 5: A room?
- 34:37Speaker 6: A sanitarium?
- 34:38Speaker 1: Yes, they've put I don't know what's happening.
- 34:41Speaker 6: I'll take your answer, amplify.
- 34:42Speaker 1: You haven't been able to visit it until now. Wow,
- 34:45Speaker 1: you have to plan a month out and it's now
- 34:47Speaker 1: under the Parks and Recreation banner, and so you can
- 34:52Speaker 1: go out to this island where all of these Jane
- 34:54Speaker 1: and John doees have Basically it's like, I mean, it's
- 34:57Speaker 1: very tragic, but it's also such a spooky place.
- 35:01Speaker 7: Wait, so everybody everybody is.
- 35:02Speaker 1: Dead, everybody, most of the people on the island are
- 35:06Speaker 1: mostly dead.
- 35:08Speaker 7: So you that's the same island.
- 35:11Speaker 1: No? Wait, what I made a bad joke.
- 35:13Speaker 6: I'm sorry I was.
- 35:16Speaker 7: I was like, they did Las dead whatever.
- 35:19Speaker 6: Okay, but I'm confused. Is there something going on there?
- 35:25Speaker 6: Do they have like a carnival and they're just gone.
- 35:27Speaker 1: It's you just kind of go and wander around. Have
- 35:29Speaker 1: you been to Governor's Island? Yeah, you've got to go
- 35:32Speaker 1: to I went recently. Such a bizarre experience. They have
- 35:36Speaker 1: an abandoned motel six. All of these abandoned buildings, or
- 35:40Speaker 1: at least they feel abandoned. You could just wander into
- 35:42Speaker 1: them and be scared out of your mind.
- 35:43Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 35:44Speaker 1: And then they've got a restaurant and a spa, which
- 35:48Speaker 1: I hear.
- 35:48Speaker 5: The spa is great.
- 35:49Speaker 1: It's gotta be nice. Yeah, if you put it on
- 35:51Speaker 1: a hunted island, you better make it as good as possible.
- 35:53Speaker 5: Governor's Island is hunted.
- 35:54Speaker 1: To according to me, I'm hearing nose and that's wrong.
- 36:00Speaker 1: Governor's Island.
- 36:01Speaker 6: I like that. There's a definitive answer. Someone's like, no,
- 36:04Speaker 6: it isn't. I've checked it out.
- 36:06Speaker 1: Now I can tell you some real haunted islands. No,
- 36:11Speaker 1: I go to Governor's Island, get on the ferry. It's uh,
- 36:14Speaker 1: it's probably not that fun, but it's Halloween time.
- 36:19Speaker 6: Why not they have events there? They have events like
- 36:21Speaker 6: what kind of Governor's Island? Not at the dead one.
- 36:26Speaker 7: I have a story for Governor's Island. But I'm not
- 36:28Speaker 7: gonna say it. Ya don't.
- 36:28Speaker 6: You don't deserve it?
- 36:29Speaker 7: But what is the story?
- 36:32Speaker 1: What's the story?
- 36:33Speaker 5: It was?
- 36:34Speaker 15: It was so there was a party for like a
- 36:36Speaker 15: like a big house music, a lot of DJs. It
- 36:39Speaker 15: was like deep house, and so deep house is like
- 36:42Speaker 15: soulful music. There'll be like a Jill Scott with like
- 36:46Speaker 15: a beat that's on repeat. And so I went there
- 36:49Speaker 15: and I was rolling around in the that's how that's
- 36:53Speaker 15: how good the maley was.
- 36:54Speaker 7: So Yeah, that Governor's Island, they got good parties. That's
- 36:58Speaker 7: what I was going to say.
- 36:58Speaker 6: Did they give you any free fear?
- 37:00Speaker 1: Dude?
- 37:00Speaker 7: Yeah, why would you want food you're partying?
- 37:04Speaker 5: Did you Jack McMuffin as well?
- 37:06Speaker 11: No?
- 37:06Speaker 6: No, that is what I was wanting, was the story
- 37:09Speaker 6: where you got more free food. But I guess if
- 37:12Speaker 6: you do enough. Molly, yeah, we used to call it
- 37:16Speaker 6: X not the same is not M D m A.
- 37:23Speaker 6: Isn't that what it is?
- 37:25Speaker 5: Molly m D m A.
- 37:26Speaker 7: It's more cool like cool Molly, you know with my
- 37:29Speaker 7: girl Molly, Like oh.
- 37:32Speaker 6: You just mean like the name is not the same,
- 37:35Speaker 6: but the drug.
- 37:35Speaker 1: Yeah, Molly is uh m D M A you get
- 37:39Speaker 1: from people with jobs. If that makes any sense, that's
- 37:43Speaker 1: a good one. I like the feels like like kind
- 37:45Speaker 1: of almost aunt and uncle responsible types, right right.
- 37:48Speaker 6: But MDMA sounds so yeah.
- 37:51Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe it's the reverse. Yeah, that's the reverse. Absolutely,
- 37:54Speaker 1: Molly is their kids, Ye, mdm A. You can take
- 37:57Speaker 1: that from your aunt and uncle. I think absolutely. And
- 38:00Speaker 1: again I'm speaking as an expert. Now, you three have
- 38:04Speaker 1: been on the podcast before. You've all given me beautiful gifts.
- 38:07Speaker 1: Bowhen you gave me some Japanese bath powders that were
- 38:10Speaker 1: so wonderful. Sydney, you gave me a little light that
- 38:13Speaker 1: gives a real mood to a room and a place
- 38:16Speaker 1: Lalla byes.
- 38:16Speaker 7: It was called a sex light. That's what I called.
- 38:20Speaker 7: It's a lighting for sex.
- 38:22Speaker 1: And Jeff, you gave me what is known as a
- 38:24Speaker 1: cotton toe topper.
- 38:27Speaker 6: It's a sock for just your toes. Say you can wear.
- 38:33Speaker 1: Mules, and you know I'm a mule guy.
- 38:41Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 38:42Speaker 7: I felt like you set me up.
- 38:44Speaker 6: To be like my gift wasn't as good as the
- 38:46Speaker 6: other two esteemed members of the I've.
- 38:49Speaker 1: Used all of these gifts a lot of times. Okay,
- 38:53Speaker 1: you're all looking at me like, that's not true. I
- 38:56Speaker 1: think we have a video. Oh oh oh, I use
- 39:06Speaker 1: every gift. I'm not a wasteful person. I'm not a
- 39:13Speaker 1: wasteful person. That's all I have to say. But what
- 39:16Speaker 1: I'm trying to get to is the podcast is called
- 39:18Speaker 1: I said no gifts, and I feel like we have
- 39:20Speaker 1: three slow learners.
- 39:21Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 39:23Speaker 1: I invited you all here in front of a live audience,
- 39:26Speaker 1: which is a much harder to edit around. You know,
- 39:29Speaker 1: when a mistake is made, you're gonna be embarrassed. And
- 39:33Speaker 1: I'm you know, I'm very generous to my guests. We
- 39:36Speaker 1: edit a lot out so they're not humiliated. So I
- 39:40Speaker 1: was a little surprised when you all repeated the same
- 39:42Speaker 1: error that you made on the first appearance of the podcast,
- 39:46Speaker 1: which is bring a beautiful three beautiful gifts.
- 39:48Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 39:49Speaker 1: Well, well, have anything to say for yourselves?
- 39:52Speaker 14: Should we can we ask before we open the gifts?
- 39:55Speaker 14: Do you have to pack all of this and go
- 39:57Speaker 14: back back and then bring this back to LA.
- 40:01Speaker 1: That's a great question, because I've made a hard rule
- 40:03Speaker 1: for myself that I only do a carry on wow.
- 40:06Speaker 1: But I will find a way, Yeah, I will find
- 40:10Speaker 1: I'm not a wasteful person.
- 40:11Speaker 6: Okay, I assumed you would be driving back to Los
- 40:14Speaker 6: Angeles in a large U haul trup.
- 40:22Speaker 1: This honestly did not cross my mind. And that's fine,
- 40:27Speaker 1: And that's fine. That's part of the prison I've built
- 40:29Speaker 1: for myself. So well, should we open these out here
- 40:31Speaker 1: on the podcast? Sure, let's get into this.
- 40:39Speaker 3: Here.
- 40:39Speaker 5: It's got a zipper top.
- 40:40Speaker 1: I love a zippered bay a gift. Let's see here. Okay,
- 40:44Speaker 1: we're opening up. Let's there are listeners at home. Oh,
- 40:49Speaker 1: this is.
- 40:50Speaker 13: A very it's it's it's a little heavy, it's it's
- 40:53Speaker 13: it's it's seven pounds, seven pounds of bird for songbirds,
- 41:03Speaker 13: for your thrushes and your warblers and your cardinals.
- 41:07Speaker 15: Bowen, I'm so I thought that you were giving him
- 41:10Speaker 15: bird seats because you think he's a bird.
- 41:14Speaker 6: Yeah, what right? Like like you literally thought I was
- 41:19Speaker 6: over shady. No, you eat like a bird.
- 41:25Speaker 5: You fucking bird.
- 41:27Speaker 14: Just a comment on my eating style, Yeah, you pecker,
- 41:33Speaker 14: you burry eating bitch.
- 41:35Speaker 5: No, it's who's hot?
- 41:37Speaker 7: I like that?
- 41:38Speaker 1: Yeah? Why did you bring the bird seeds?
- 41:41Speaker 14: Well, look, I that's been in my closet. I bought
- 41:48Speaker 14: a bird house, and I think that's this is a
- 41:52Speaker 14: room full of New Yorkers. I don't think New York
- 41:55Speaker 14: is a bird. Does anyone have a bird feeder in
- 41:57Speaker 14: their in their apartment?
- 41:58Speaker 11: No?
- 41:58Speaker 5: Right? Any someone over here?
- 42:01Speaker 1: Yeah, rat there, we go.
- 42:06Speaker 5: There, and then and then someone else.
- 42:09Speaker 7: Wait, so you're saying that the pigeons don't deserve.
- 42:16Speaker 6: I just saw. I just saw someone's real face, and
- 42:19Speaker 6: the humanity on the face said to me, it's gonna
- 42:22Speaker 6: attract rat.
- 42:24Speaker 7: She's strong with the rat.
- 42:30Speaker 1: A rat crawling out of a bird house. Kill me, absolutely,
- 42:35Speaker 1: just kill me.
- 42:37Speaker 5: I think this is much more. This is much more laue.
- 42:40Speaker 1: But you know a big part of the podcast we're
- 42:42Speaker 1: doing in the backyard now is birds constantly squawking.
- 42:46Speaker 5: It's beautiful.
- 42:47Speaker 1: Even more birds squawking. It's gonna become unlistenable even more.
- 42:50Speaker 6: So maybe you can put that on another side of.
- 42:52Speaker 1: The House's great, very good thinking. So how long is
- 42:59Speaker 1: this spending your.
- 43:00Speaker 14: I would say, look this, this is full disclosure. I
- 43:06Speaker 14: was playing a birder and a movie and I was like,
- 43:11Speaker 14: let me go to Prospect Park and I'm gonna go
- 43:14Speaker 14: to the Veil of Kashmir, which is a famous cruising spot.
- 43:18Speaker 14: But it's apparently it's a wonderful birding area in Brooklyn,
- 43:22Speaker 14: and so I for one week.
- 43:24Speaker 5: I got up in the.
- 43:26Speaker 14: Morning, went over to the park, took my binoculars there,
- 43:29Speaker 14: loved it. It was just me and every seventy year
- 43:33Speaker 14: old woman in Brooklyn and there, and it was so
- 43:36Speaker 14: it was it's really lovely and and it's it's just
- 43:39Speaker 14: a bunch of women in Brooklyn being like, there's this
- 43:42Speaker 14: scarlet tanager in your body.
- 43:44Speaker 5: And I'm like, yeah, yeah, cool.
- 43:45Speaker 14: And so I got I got really enamored with it,
- 43:48Speaker 14: and I went too far. I bought a birdhouse with
- 43:50Speaker 14: a camera, and then I bought this, and then I realized, oh,
- 43:53Speaker 14: I think I think I think this is not the
- 43:55Speaker 14: right thing.
- 43:55Speaker 5: I think it's a rat.
- 43:56Speaker 1: Ma right, so anything birds like that, Rats don't anything,
- 44:01Speaker 1: birds like the rats don't raw fish, raw fish.
- 44:06Speaker 6: Rats like everything. Yeah, you think a rat's gonna turn
- 44:10Speaker 6: down raw fish. I've lived here too long. I've seen
- 44:17Speaker 6: it all.
- 44:19Speaker 1: Like this podcast has become so rat centric in the
- 44:22Speaker 1: last few weeks. It's strictly rats. That's the name of
- 44:25Speaker 1: the show. What about an empty birdhouse, I's got a
- 44:30Speaker 1: disappointment to birds.
- 44:31Speaker 14: Yeah, empty bird house to me, that's oh God two
- 44:34Speaker 14: empty bird house feels very like for sale. Baby shoes
- 44:38Speaker 14: never worn? I mean it like tells a full story.
- 44:41Speaker 14: It's a sad story.
- 44:43Speaker 1: Yeah, well, I've got to put this in my carry on?
- 44:48Speaker 5: Can you fit that in the carry on? Why are
- 44:49Speaker 5: they're groans of sadness?
- 44:51Speaker 1: People are growing about the birds baby shoes never wand
- 44:57Speaker 1: it's a drag. But there are other reasons baby don't.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Babies don't wear shoes.
- 45:02Speaker 5: The baby probably what if the baby, what if what if.
- 45:05Speaker 1: It's born without feet, what if it's a sandal wearer.
- 45:11Speaker 1: There are a lot of.
- 45:14Speaker 7: Yeah, I absolutely needed that.
- 45:16Speaker 1: There are reasons a baby doesn't wear shoes. Yeah, maybe
- 45:20Speaker 1: it's not the baby's taste. I mean like, yeah, maybe
- 45:24Speaker 1: the babies don't hold up, does not hold up huge
- 45:28Speaker 1: plot holes. I don't know how that became a classic.
- 45:31Speaker 1: But it's a shame.
- 45:32Speaker 5: It's a shame.
- 45:33Speaker 1: But now you all feel good about the story. I
- 45:35Speaker 1: assume we're on the story side, right as in, we
- 45:39Speaker 1: love the story, we love the story. Now we love
- 45:41Speaker 1: this baby who refuses to wear shoes.
- 45:43Speaker 5: Oh, I love that story. That's great.
- 45:45Speaker 1: That's all we have to just get on the page
- 45:47Speaker 1: of this snob baby, that's all. Optionate you guys all
- 45:51Speaker 1: this is pretty ivy. Yes, okay, well we have this
- 45:55Speaker 1: bird seeds. Should we keep talking about bird seas or
- 45:57Speaker 1: anything left to say about birds?
- 45:59Speaker 5: I'm good? What is there to say about?
- 46:04Speaker 11: Well?
- 46:04Speaker 7: I was like, what is this movie that you're gonna be?
- 46:07Speaker 2: Uh?
- 46:07Speaker 7: You know, you can't say.
- 46:10Speaker 5: No, I can. I can say. I just don't think.
- 46:11Speaker 5: I don't think the birding is going to figure into it.
- 46:15Speaker 1: Did you bring as your own personal touch?
- 46:18Speaker 14: No, it was, it was, it was, it was, it
- 46:20Speaker 14: was in it, but it was God like I there, No,
- 46:25Speaker 14: it's it's it's so not worth talking about.
- 46:27Speaker 5: I promise anyway, I thank you. I I am, I am,
- 46:31Speaker 5: I was.
- 46:32Speaker 14: I was just a burder from for I don't know
- 46:34Speaker 14: for the for the story literally, but what's what's it's?
- 46:40Speaker 1: I can throw that in the streets, you can. Yeah,
- 46:43Speaker 1: there are so many birds here and rats and rats. Okay, here,
- 46:46Speaker 1: he would go, black oil, sunflower seeds, cracked corn, millet, peanuts,
- 46:50Speaker 1: striped flower seeds, artificial cherry flavor.
- 46:53Speaker 7: Oh, birds is good.
- 46:57Speaker 5: I like that we could all kind of we can.
- 47:00Speaker 6: We have to make these seeds palatable to birds.
- 47:06Speaker 1: I know cherry I imagine if you boiled this, you
- 47:10Speaker 1: could eat it, put it in my instapot. You never know. Okay, well,
- 47:17Speaker 1: let's get to the next thing. Sidney, what have you got?
- 47:19Speaker 7: I know you would never ask.
- 47:21Speaker 1: Yes, thank you.
- 47:24Speaker 7: Okay I did that myself.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Thank you. Oh it's the tissue and hairy. Okay, we're
- 47:34Speaker 1: getting out. Should I take these out in any order?
- 47:36Speaker 5: No?
- 47:37Speaker 1: There are two objects here. Okay, let's see what this
- 47:39Speaker 1: first one eat Lorna Dunes.
- 47:43Speaker 5: Yes, cookies, those are great cookies.
- 47:47Speaker 1: Oh, I love a shortbread cookie.
- 47:48Speaker 6: You kidding, but you know what I was.
- 47:49Speaker 15: I'm being very specific about this cookie because it's like
- 47:52Speaker 15: when you get a certain age, you just want a
- 47:54Speaker 15: plane cookie.
- 47:55Speaker 7: You don't need that, you don't need to swirl the
- 47:58Speaker 7: chocolate chips or anything like that.
- 48:00Speaker 15: Like short bread. It's it gives the mature and I
- 48:03Speaker 15: like that. I'm a short bread girl, Like I don't
- 48:06Speaker 15: need to dip it anything. I like a dry ass cookie,
- 48:10Speaker 15: like I love that bisc off Like that really gets
- 48:13Speaker 15: me damp when I get when I almost choke on
- 48:16Speaker 15: a cookie that's hot, that's sexy.
- 48:19Speaker 1: Just was like a glass with not even a glass
- 48:20Speaker 1: of water.
- 48:21Speaker 5: No, this is hor what.
- 48:22Speaker 7: Do you need water for?
- 48:24Speaker 1: How much.
- 48:26Speaker 15: You know?
- 48:28Speaker 5: Is it just me?
- 48:31Speaker 1: How long have you been in the Laura Dune family.
- 48:33Speaker 15: I would say for a good good two years now,
- 48:36Speaker 15: two years. Yeah, before I would like want a Nutter butter,
- 48:40Speaker 15: you know, something with like chocolate mint, like I used
- 48:42Speaker 15: to like Girl Scott cookies. But I think it's a scam.
- 48:45Speaker 15: So I I'm done with it.
- 48:48Speaker 6: I'm done.
- 48:49Speaker 15: Yeah, I said it, damn scam. They haven't changed the
- 48:54Speaker 15: uniforms yet. I need a new bas bitch.
- 48:56Speaker 7: No, I'm getting. They don't get im comedy. Okay, yeah, so.
- 49:05Speaker 1: Were you just on the cookie Island? You said there's
- 49:06Speaker 1: a boring cookie? Yeah.
- 49:09Speaker 7: I think they're doing too much.
- 49:10Speaker 15: I think like the Oreos, the double stuff, like stop,
- 49:14Speaker 15: come on, it's too much.
- 49:15Speaker 1: The Oreos have gotten fully out of control. Yeah, they're disaster.
- 49:18Speaker 7: They're doing too much playing cookie. I'm good.
- 49:21Speaker 1: I love I love Nutter butters. I was eating nine
- 49:24Speaker 1: of them at night for several years. It was nine, yes,
- 49:30Speaker 1: but they come in pairs. I'm just getting the full
- 49:41Speaker 1: big thing. It wasn't just Nutter butters. This was like,
- 49:44Speaker 1: you know, I would get a bag of Nutter butters
- 49:46Speaker 1: and I would go through those and I'd find a
- 49:47Speaker 1: different cookie.
- 49:48Speaker 8: It was.
- 49:49Speaker 1: It was before I was out. Let's just be there's
- 49:53Speaker 1: a lot of just eating cookie non stocky, but somehow
- 50:02Speaker 1: nine of them.
- 50:03Speaker 7: But all those nutter butters.
- 50:08Speaker 1: No, I I love nutter butters. And there was also
- 50:11Speaker 1: something called a peanut butter gout show. Is no one
- 50:14Speaker 1: is familiar with the peanut butter gout show. They absolutely
- 50:17Speaker 1: killed the brand, and I wrote them a letter of complaints,
- 50:21Speaker 1: and then it became a pet cemetery situation. They brought
- 50:24Speaker 1: them back to the market as something else, and then
- 50:28Speaker 1: again I was the only person buying them back out
- 50:31Speaker 1: of business. They were like a more rodeo style nutter
- 50:34Speaker 1: butter rodeo. There's like a cowboy would have eaten these.
- 50:38Speaker 1: They were a little heartier, they were Has anyone ever
- 50:42Speaker 1: is that if there's one person in the audience, the
- 50:44Speaker 1: Mother's brand failed you? Oh, they absolutely failed you. They
- 50:49Speaker 1: were too focused on this horrible uh frosted animal cookies.
- 50:52Speaker 6: Those are great.
- 50:55Speaker 5: With the dogs.
- 50:57Speaker 1: Those are awful.
- 50:58Speaker 5: I don't don't. They're not.
- 51:02Speaker 7: Dry cookie. That's where I'm at.
- 51:06Speaker 5: Great gift.
- 51:07Speaker 1: Is there any other cookie in your rotation?
- 51:10Speaker 6: No?
- 51:10Speaker 7: Not really.
- 51:11Speaker 15: I like this is where and bisc off, Like I
- 51:14Speaker 15: literally get on the flight for the biscus.
- 51:16Speaker 1: You never buy one in store.
- 51:18Speaker 7: They try to go past me, bring bring that cart back.
- 51:23Speaker 7: I want the bisc off.
- 51:27Speaker 1: Vote. And Jeff, what treats are you eating.
- 51:31Speaker 5: Today?
- 51:32Speaker 14: I had I'm gonna spiag string cheese kick, but I
- 51:37Speaker 14: feel like it is not. It is maybe the most
- 51:40Speaker 14: environmentally devastating.
- 51:43Speaker 5: It's so much single.
- 51:44Speaker 14: Use plastic encased in plastic, and there's and and and.
- 51:50Speaker 5: What do you do? You can't reuse it? Could I
- 51:55Speaker 5: don't know for what?
- 51:57Speaker 1: And what else are you going to wrap those in?
- 51:59Speaker 1: You don't want to like paper wrapped string cheese?
- 52:03Speaker 5: It feels it feels yeah, what are we gonna do that?
- 52:06Speaker 6: When you go to like a fancy cheese shop to
- 52:08Speaker 6: get a cheese plate, they just wrap it in paper.
- 52:11Speaker 1: A string cheese.
- 52:12Speaker 14: No, no, no, okay, I'm I'm gonna pitch something like
- 52:20Speaker 14: like when they put mozzarella in water, Like, should we
- 52:23Speaker 14: just put like string.
- 52:24Speaker 5: Cheese sticks in liquid?
- 52:26Speaker 7: Bowing you guys, it's the only way.
- 52:29Speaker 6: Imagine being a kid at school who pulls that out
- 52:31Speaker 6: of their bags.
- 52:33Speaker 7: Oh yeah, that kid is getting a holes for sure.
- 52:37Speaker 1: Just wet cheese.
- 52:39Speaker 6: Wet cheese and a peanut butter gout chair.
- 52:51Speaker 1: Oh no, string cheese is a great I mean it's
- 52:55Speaker 1: a complicated thing.
- 52:56Speaker 5: To eat, very very tough.
- 52:58Speaker 1: But to have those the fridge, it's such a safe
- 53:01Speaker 1: thing to have.
- 53:01Speaker 7: Oh yeah, you know what's better than a string cheese?
- 53:04Speaker 11: Though?
- 53:05Speaker 7: Those Baby Bell the one.
- 53:06Speaker 15: That's red jacket on top of it.
- 53:09Speaker 7: I love those.
- 53:10Speaker 6: And that's just wax.
- 53:11Speaker 1: You can burn that, Yeah, turn into a candle. Yeah,
- 53:17Speaker 1: that's very true. There's the answer. Somebody's beating you to it.
- 53:20Speaker 1: They are a little more flavorful, I would say, than
- 53:21Speaker 1: a string cheese. The string cheese it's a very bland
- 53:24Speaker 1: you're looking for, kind of a very mild cheese.
- 53:28Speaker 14: Where the baby Bell is baby baby Bell has has
- 53:31Speaker 14: depth of flavor. But there's there's there are the string
- 53:33Speaker 14: cheeses that are like the double helix and tell us, yeah,
- 53:38Speaker 14: people know, there's there's no we need to know.
- 53:41Speaker 5: It's the polos.
- 53:42Speaker 14: They've got the white and they've got the orange. There's
- 53:46Speaker 14: different like salt content, and then they mix it up.
- 53:49Speaker 14: Sometimes it's all white, sometimes it's all orange. It's real,
- 53:52Speaker 14: it's you know, you know it gives like a very
- 53:54Speaker 14: like sort of bespoke quality to it.
- 53:59Speaker 7: Though it stops me up. I can't really go with
- 54:01Speaker 7: that brand.
- 54:01Speaker 5: Stops you up.
- 54:04Speaker 7: Oh, y'all, y'all draw the line constipation.
- 54:07Speaker 6: Oh it's not my crowd.
- 54:10Speaker 1: Are you saying that particular cheese? Yes, it is of
- 54:14Speaker 1: that particular one that could be used for medical purposes
- 54:20Speaker 1: that should be prescribed.
- 54:21Speaker 6: This is my fault.
- 54:22Speaker 8: You're right.
- 54:26Speaker 6: You mean, like, instead of emodium, you just eat exactly.
- 54:28Speaker 1: One of these gorgeous cheeses. I don't know. I'm an
- 54:32Speaker 1: ideas versus first Well, there's another gift. Oh, that's right,
- 54:36Speaker 1: But I want to hear what Jeffy's is a treat?
- 54:38Speaker 6: Oh, well, you know, I'm more of a sweet than
- 54:41Speaker 6: a savory, and I like these. I go to Trader
- 54:45Speaker 6: Joe's because they live right across the street from one,
- 54:47Speaker 6: and they talk about single use plastic. They are very,
- 54:51Speaker 6: very bad at it. They wrap cucumbers. Isn't that terrible anyway?
- 54:56Speaker 6: But they do sell these these tiny little ice cream
- 55:00Speaker 6: cones that are dipped in chocolate. I'd be like a
- 55:05Speaker 6: giant and you get to eat the hard chocolate on
- 55:10Speaker 6: the top, then you get the delicious ice cream, and
- 55:11Speaker 6: then there's a little piece of chocolate at the that's
- 55:14Speaker 6: my favorite. And also so few calories, only one hundred
- 55:24Speaker 6: and seventy, but who's mediculously counting?

- 55:32Speaker 1: let's see here. Oh oh, I'm thrilled about this. It's
- 55:42Speaker 1: a portable full body massage.

- 55:47Speaker 7: work it out.
- 55:48Speaker 1: Yes, what is the name of that gadget store that
- 55:51Speaker 1: closed down in the mall Sharper Image. You have given

- 56:32Speaker 15: my legs.
- 56:33Speaker 7: I'm like they're always hurting.
- 56:35Speaker 15: I'm not saying that's you, but it's just it is okay,
- 56:38Speaker 15: so good.
- 56:38Speaker 1: I'm not by myself all the time.
- 56:40Speaker 15: Yeah, and it's mainly because I'm flying a lot and
- 56:43Speaker 15: I'm not I'm not in first class, which is it's
- 56:45Speaker 15: a crime. Like I don't know why I'm not there,
- 56:47Speaker 15: Like why I should be one through five? Like I
- 56:50Speaker 15: don't know why. I don't know why I'm thirty two.
- 56:52Speaker 15: F Like it's it's insane. My society is not doing
- 56:56Speaker 15: me right. That's how I feel. But yeah, but after
- 56:58Speaker 15: you know, you like have an eight hour flighter.
- 57:00Speaker 7: Never you just rub it. You use that and it
- 57:02Speaker 7: helps for sure.
- 57:03Speaker 1: Oh, I love this. Are you do any of you
- 57:05Speaker 1: fear blood clots on the plane? I have a new
- 57:08Speaker 1: fear that is just constantly on my mind.
- 57:10Speaker 7: No, never never thought about the blood clots.
- 57:13Speaker 1: Oh, start thinking, it's never too late.
- 57:19Speaker 15: I think about the crying babies. That's what I think
- 57:21Speaker 15: about it. I think about the babies crying.
- 57:22Speaker 1: Well, get up and look at them, and that'll allow
- 57:24Speaker 1: your legs to get the blood circulation going.
- 57:27Speaker 6: Do you wear those compression Oh?
- 57:31Speaker 1: Is that bad for this situation?
- 57:33Speaker 11: It's good?
- 57:33Speaker 1: That feels wrong. Oh, well, but I guess that makes sense.
- 57:38Speaker 6: Sorry, I didn't know you didn't believe in science.
- 57:44Speaker 1: Vaccines. No, you have to get up and walk around
- 57:49Speaker 1: the plane. You've got to drink plenty of fluids.
- 57:52Speaker 14: We were talking about this backstage seapat machines. I heard
- 58:00Speaker 14: this rumor that in Provincetown the electrical grid kind of
- 58:05Speaker 14: went out during Bear Week because.
- 58:07Speaker 8: All of the.
- 58:20Speaker 5: What and in palm spring. Now, that's wonderful. No, that's what.
- 58:25Speaker 7: No, that's amazing that.
- 58:26Speaker 14: That's actually that means that things are working the way
- 58:30Speaker 14: they show.
- 58:30Speaker 1: Yes, absolutely, we're all medicallliterate, but cities need to be
- 58:35Speaker 1: more aware of Bear Week.
- 58:37Speaker 7: Cities need to be more aware of bear When is
- 58:40Speaker 7: Bear Week? What's the dates?
- 58:43Speaker 3: I know?
- 58:43Speaker 5: Is it? It's June mid June week after fourth of July?
- 58:47Speaker 6: Got it?
- 58:48Speaker 8: So what.
- 58:51Speaker 15: Y'all being in the front is hilarious. I love it.
- 58:55Speaker 6: Also, your your ability to catch those dates immediately is
- 59:02Speaker 6: oh you book in advance. That's true?
- 59:04Speaker 1: Okay, wow, what a So that's a real thing that happened.
- 59:09Speaker 14: That that was the rumor that the electrical that that
- 59:11Speaker 14: that the grid was a little unstable, right.
- 59:14Speaker 1: If it feels true, it's true.
- 59:16Speaker 14: Yeah, I think it's I think it's hilarious.
- 59:20Speaker 5: Wow.
- 59:20Speaker 1: That's why I wonder if this works. I'm gonna try
- 59:22Speaker 1: to open this really quickly. I would like us all
- 59:24Speaker 1: to try it.
- 59:25Speaker 7: Try it.
- 59:25Speaker 15: I didn't charge it up. I don't you know, I
- 59:27Speaker 15: don't know, but hopefully it works. I will take it back.
- 59:30Speaker 15: I have a receipt, so.
- 59:32Speaker 1: I'll have to put the batterings batteries, and we're not
- 59:34Speaker 1: watching that on.
- 59:34Speaker 15: The podcast, So you know what I thought it was like,
- 59:37Speaker 15: you could like a charge like charge.
- 59:39Speaker 1: A rechargeable one is nice too. Yeah, I prefer a
- 59:48Speaker 1: battery I can throw into a landfill. No, I'm actually
- 59:55Speaker 1: I'm genuinely thrilled about this because I refuse to take
- 59:58Speaker 1: care of myself, and so I depend on the podcast.
- 1:00:00Speaker 1: About once a year I get an item that takes
- 1:00:01Speaker 1: care of me. By the time I'm like eighty, I'll
- 1:00:04Speaker 1: be living a normal life. So this is a step
- 1:00:07Speaker 1: towards that. Thank you, Jeff. Should we get into your
- 1:00:11Speaker 1: enormous Okay, I hope you're going.
- 1:00:13Speaker 6: To hope you don't have one of these.
- 1:00:17Speaker 7: Jeff had to get up so they could see you.
- 1:00:19Speaker 15: Yeah, for the bears, what is this?
- 1:00:30Speaker 5: Oh?
- 1:00:30Speaker 7: My god, I wonder what this could mean.
- 1:00:34Speaker 1: It's a fragile object.
- 1:00:36Speaker 6: Yeah, I'm not gonna lie to you. You know, you
- 1:00:39Speaker 6: might need to buy a seat for that on the plane.
- 1:00:43Speaker 7: This is hilarious.
- 1:00:44Speaker 5: It is beautiful already for me.
- 1:00:50Speaker 7: Okay that direct deposit hit? Huh wow? You really ever
- 1:00:54Speaker 7: really went all out? That's so cool?
- 1:00:58Speaker 5: Is it? Ceramic?
- 1:01:00Speaker 6: Ceramic?
- 1:01:01Speaker 5: Ceramic bold dog? Oh my god.
- 1:01:09Speaker 1: This is unbelievable.
- 1:01:11Speaker 7: It's beautiful.
- 1:01:12Speaker 1: This couldnt be transported, cannot be transported?
- 1:01:16Speaker 6: Well, tell him it's a service animal?
- 1:01:19Speaker 7: What a little vest on?
- 1:01:20Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 1:01:21Speaker 1: I do feel like if I went to the airport
- 1:01:23Speaker 1: and told you say, this is my service animal, animal
- 1:01:25Speaker 1: to be like, let us go. Where did this come from?
- 1:01:30Speaker 1: Why is this here?
- 1:01:32Speaker 6: Well, and you'll never believe this, but one of my
- 1:01:36Speaker 6: neighbors left that in the back hallway of my building.
- 1:01:42Speaker 6: What they left that ana docent?
- 1:01:45Speaker 1: Oh?
- 1:01:46Speaker 5: A real one?
- 1:01:47Speaker 6: Yeah, but it had passed No, yes, no, it was
- 1:02:00Speaker 6: another ceramic one and I was going to take that,
- 1:02:03Speaker 6: but this lady said, oh, I have a docs and
- 1:02:05Speaker 6: can I have that one? And I was like sure,
- 1:02:09Speaker 6: And it's been living in my apartment firm I think
- 1:02:15Speaker 6: maybe since before the pandemic and oh my god, I
- 1:02:19Speaker 6: never had a place for it. I've never found a
- 1:02:22Speaker 6: place for it. And I thought, I want to give
- 1:02:24Speaker 6: it to someone who will really appreciate it. And when
- 1:02:30Speaker 6: I looked at I thought, Richard.
- 1:02:34Speaker 15: Very upset here, I am going out buying some y'all
- 1:02:37Speaker 15: like what's in the closet?
- 1:02:39Speaker 7: I see what I could get rid of. Damn, y'all
- 1:02:44Speaker 7: are too smart.
- 1:02:44Speaker 6: But I did pay to have that professionally wrapped.
- 1:02:47Speaker 1: Of course, you don't have to tell us that where
- 1:02:51Speaker 1: was this in your apartment? Was it a decoration or
- 1:02:53Speaker 1: was it like in a closet.
- 1:02:54Speaker 6: It was out decorating, but it was kind of in
- 1:02:57Speaker 6: this It was right by this ottoman, so like you
- 1:03:00Speaker 6: couldn't really use the ottoman anymore. And it was also
- 1:03:03Speaker 6: right in front of this plant. And my cat didn't
- 1:03:05Speaker 6: really like it. My dog couldn't care less about it,
- 1:03:08Speaker 6: never noticed. Wow, I have another dog, also seramic.
- 1:03:14Speaker 1: What is that one?
- 1:03:15Speaker 6: And it broke? I think the dogs that are broken
- 1:03:20Speaker 6: and uh, interesting behavior. So I was just like, I
- 1:03:24Speaker 6: was like, let's get rid of all the ceramic dogs.
- 1:03:26Speaker 6: Only only flesh ones allowed.
- 1:03:30Speaker 1: Wait, but the other dog, just to be clear, was
- 1:03:32Speaker 1: that one you bought on your own.
- 1:03:34Speaker 6: Now, that one I found on the street in two
- 1:03:38Speaker 6: thousand and four because I always wanted a dog, but
- 1:03:42Speaker 6: I didn't have the lifestyle to support it, which now
- 1:03:46Speaker 6: I do.
- 1:03:49Speaker 7: And it takes money to raise a dog.
- 1:03:52Speaker 6: It does, it does. And anyway, so now that I
- 1:03:56Speaker 6: have that, you know, warm blooded one, I wanted to
- 1:04:00Speaker 6: pass this son to someone.
- 1:04:02Speaker 7: Is he heavy?
- 1:04:03Speaker 1: I mean it's a fully ceramic dog.
- 1:04:08Speaker 6: I did, like, took it on the subway, so you
- 1:04:10Speaker 6: that has traveled.
- 1:04:12Speaker 1: You would easily take it on a plane exactly. This
- 1:04:15Speaker 1: is I guess it probably falls under the category of
- 1:04:17Speaker 1: personal item. Yeah, just stuff it under my seat. What
- 1:04:23Speaker 1: was the other dog you had? Oh the Uh was
- 1:04:28Speaker 1: this one ever named?
- 1:04:30Speaker 6: Oh yeah, that one was named Winston, but you know
- 1:04:32Speaker 6: you could rename it from the shelters rescue.
- 1:04:40Speaker 11: Uh.
- 1:04:41Speaker 6: What is Rufus? I guess he's sort of a hound,
- 1:04:44Speaker 6: sort of a maybe not a Bassett hound, but his
- 1:04:48Speaker 6: legs are too long. But he's some sort of a hound.
- 1:04:51Speaker 6: He's very cute. One time I saw an exact replica
- 1:04:53Speaker 6: of Rufus at the Paris flea market.
- 1:04:56Speaker 1: Oh, but I was like, I'm.
- 1:04:57Speaker 6: Not taking this thing on the plane.
- 1:05:08Speaker 7: Why do you name him Rufus?
- 1:05:10Speaker 6: Well, I always wanted a dog named Rufus.
- 1:05:12Speaker 1: What are your dogs? Your warm blooded dog's name?
- 1:05:15Speaker 6: Her name is von de Carlo.
- 1:05:17Speaker 1: Oh, I love that. That's gorgeous. And what is the
- 1:05:20Speaker 1: cat's name?
- 1:05:22Speaker 6: Beverly?
- 1:05:22Speaker 1: Okay, people need to be more respectful of their pets names.
- 1:05:29Speaker 1: I think some people get a little too silly. And
- 1:05:31Speaker 1: if anyone here has gone too silly, you can always
- 1:05:33Speaker 1: rename the animal. Cats really don't take on a name,
- 1:05:35Speaker 1: so change it this week. But I think the dignity
- 1:05:40Speaker 1: of the animal, nice, solid.
- 1:05:43Speaker 15: Name, dignity They lick their ass? What dignity? Oh, this
- 1:05:50Speaker 15: is an animal crowd all right?
- 1:05:52Speaker 14: Never mind, No one's dignified in that relationship. Someone's expressing glands,
- 1:06:01Speaker 14: you know what I mean? Okay, Bottom, it's like the dog.
- 1:06:08Speaker 14: The dog is embarrassed, and then the owner is also like,
- 1:06:10Speaker 14: I gotta milk this.
- 1:06:12Speaker 1: It's humiliating. And but the cat didn't like this animal?
- 1:06:16Speaker 1: Did it freak out?
- 1:06:18Speaker 6: It wasn't about the fact that it looked like an
- 1:06:20Speaker 6: animal was just in her way. I kind of used
- 1:06:24Speaker 6: it to block her from getting into the plant.
- 1:06:28Speaker 5: Yeah, was the plant poisonous to the cat.
- 1:06:33Speaker 6: No, I just didn't want her to piss in the plant.
- 1:06:35Speaker 15: Oh yeah, how how much do you think this costs?
- 1:06:39Speaker 1: I think there might be a sticker on the bottom.
- 1:06:41Speaker 7: Stop it.
- 1:06:42Speaker 1: Let's let's look. This is not an easy was it.
- 1:06:49Speaker 6: Now that was the tape I used.
- 1:06:50Speaker 1: To Well, what do we think this feels expensive?
- 1:06:55Speaker 8: To me?
- 1:06:55Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 1:06:56Speaker 7: It does, really, I.
- 1:06:57Speaker 6: Mean it's I mean it was free ninety nine.
- 1:07:01Speaker 1: I thought this is probably like a seventy five dollars item.
- 1:07:04Speaker 1: Seventy five.
- 1:07:07Speaker 6: Oh my god, I want to take it back and
- 1:07:08Speaker 6: sell it.
- 1:07:11Speaker 5: There's craftsmanship involved. Yeah, no, I would, I would.
- 1:07:14Speaker 1: I would put it at like forty five. Forty five. Okay,
- 1:07:17Speaker 1: you hate it? No, So what do you think this costs?
- 1:07:23Speaker 7: I mean, yeah, seventy five feels right.
- 1:07:25Speaker 1: Okay, I've got some support. And Jeff, you just think
- 1:07:29Speaker 1: it's garbage.
- 1:07:30Speaker 6: No, I don't think it's garbage. I think my apartment
- 1:07:33Speaker 6: is not built for it. I think it's a Los
- 1:07:37Speaker 6: Angeles dog.
- 1:07:38Speaker 1: Absolutely, I think so too. Yeah, well, I can't wait
- 1:07:41Speaker 1: to find out how I get this across the country.
- 1:07:43Speaker 6: Well, now it is hollow under it's but it's.
- 1:07:46Speaker 1: Kind of a pinata almost. Oh, use, this is buried.
- 1:07:50Speaker 6: So you could also hide things you want to hide
- 1:07:52Speaker 6: in there. Oh right, there's no drugs.
- 1:07:55Speaker 5: The birth scene in there.
- 1:07:57Speaker 6: You can put the birth in there. That's so true.
- 1:08:00Speaker 5: It's very smart.
- 1:08:01Speaker 1: That was good. Birds rats just eating out of this.
- 1:08:06Speaker 1: That feels bad. That feels very bad. We're gonna put
- 1:08:10Speaker 1: this right.
- 1:08:11Speaker 7: Is there lit at the bottom of it?
- 1:08:14Speaker 5: Lit?
- 1:08:16Speaker 6: I guess it's like little things that you put.
- 1:08:18Speaker 1: So it doesn't scratch the floor.
- 1:08:20Speaker 15: Yeah, I thought you were bringing lit from your home.
- 1:08:25Speaker 5: Again.
- 1:08:25Speaker 6: Well, I'm not gonna lie to you. There might be
- 1:08:27Speaker 6: some cat there on there.
- 1:08:30Speaker 1: Well, it's incredible. These gifts are unmovable. But I'll find
- 1:08:36Speaker 1: a use for them. We'll see what happens. We'll see
- 1:08:39Speaker 1: ultimately what happens if I fed the birds of New
- 1:08:42Speaker 1: York the seed. There's a chance the seed gets to la.
- 1:08:45Speaker 1: Just to think of how birds work and then this
- 1:08:48Speaker 1: we'll just we'll figure it out.
- 1:08:51Speaker 7: And you're gonna eat those cookies right now.
- 1:08:53Speaker 1: Of course we should eat eat.
- 1:08:56Speaker 7: That cookie right now, right now. Actually, yeah, I want
- 1:09:04Speaker 7: to cook you. Thank you, thank you.
- 1:09:07Speaker 1: Okay, how many are in a pack? Open those?
- 1:09:09Speaker 5: Okay, thank you? Nine nine of them?
- 1:09:13Speaker 11: No, I have.
- 1:09:16Speaker 1: There you go, let's have one.
- 1:09:21Speaker 5: Great? Is this compelling? Are we? O? M?
- 1:09:30Speaker 1: My mouth is so dry and sids a web?
- 1:09:35Speaker 5: And you're you said a good damp for this?
- 1:09:38Speaker 6: Yeah? Don't good?
- 1:09:43Speaker 7: Oh good?
- 1:09:46Speaker 1: Why don't you three have drinks? This is a failure,
- 1:09:49Speaker 1: not on my part, but.
- 1:09:51Speaker 7: I know you have a drink yang up here? Dry?
- 1:09:53Speaker 7: That's crazy.
- 1:09:54Speaker 6: Yeah, some hosts, we all bring gifts. You don't even
- 1:10:01Speaker 6: have beverage, not even a cheese. Play at least some
- 1:10:06Speaker 6: wet string cheese.
- 1:10:10Speaker 1: Wow, these really are Yeah, let's pass these out.
- 1:10:15Speaker 15: I've got four here, Thank you, thank you.
- 1:10:21Speaker 6: I feel like I'm missing out on a whole section
- 1:10:23Speaker 6: of audience. Oh my god, they're so serious. Jeez.
- 1:10:31Speaker 1: Okay, it's time to play a game. We're going to
- 1:10:34Speaker 1: play Gift to a curse. Okay, this is how we
- 1:10:37Speaker 1: play this game. I'm gonna name three things.
- 1:10:41Speaker 5: Are we looking back here?
- 1:10:43Speaker 1: You don't have to. There will be a visual if
- 1:10:46Speaker 1: you want to peak, If you want to peak, take
- 1:10:47Speaker 1: a peek. I mean, name three things. Are gonna tell
- 1:10:50Speaker 1: me if they're a gift or a curse and why?
- 1:10:51Speaker 1: And so I'll name one thing and you're all gonna
- 1:10:53Speaker 1: tell me that. I'll so points will be kept. And
- 1:10:56Speaker 1: of course this is an extremely important game, so you
- 1:10:57Speaker 1: don't want to lose, and there are right answers, there
- 1:11:01Speaker 1: are correct answers. You can fail. So number one this
- 1:11:04Speaker 1: is from a listener named Lydia. Gift or a curse
- 1:11:07Speaker 1: music on overhead speakers during airplane boarding.
- 1:11:12Speaker 6: Oh my gosh, I'm gonna say a gift because it
- 1:11:17Speaker 6: just adds a little background noise and maybe it calms
- 1:11:24Speaker 6: all of the you know, there's a lot of a
- 1:11:27Speaker 6: lot of people having meltdowns. There's a lot of people
- 1:11:31Speaker 6: who are not good at the flying these days, so
- 1:11:35Speaker 6: maybe it calms them, right because it's kind of like
- 1:11:37Speaker 6: ethereal sort of massage music, right.
- 1:11:40Speaker 14: Hopefully, Okay, I guess it depends on what is being played.
- 1:11:45Speaker 14: But if it is like massage, like if it is
- 1:11:47Speaker 14: like spa or like drum solo.
- 1:11:51Speaker 15: Right, it's never good. The music is never good. I
- 1:11:54Speaker 15: always want the ox coord I'm like, let me let
- 1:11:56Speaker 15: me give you all some. It's never Beyonce or anything
- 1:11:59Speaker 15: like that. No ed sharing, It's just you should be
- 1:12:03Speaker 15: airplaying music.
- 1:12:05Speaker 7: I would mind, I wouldn't mind.
- 1:12:06Speaker 1: I support you. Okay, Well, what do you two think
- 1:12:09Speaker 1: if your curse.
- 1:12:11Speaker 5: I I would want the music to be like.
- 1:12:15Speaker 14: What they would play out of borders, or I think
- 1:12:18Speaker 14: I would want to be like a pure mood CD,
- 1:12:22Speaker 14: so like NYA like that's oh, I like that.
- 1:12:25Speaker 5: Yeah, there's there's there should be there should be an
- 1:12:26Speaker 5: Alinda just selling just.
- 1:12:29Speaker 6: An I guess it would be you know, Irish whatever?
- 1:12:33Speaker 6: What what's that Irish one called lingo.
- 1:12:46Speaker 7: Your funny?
- 1:12:50Speaker 6: That's because most of the time we hang out, you
- 1:12:51Speaker 6: were you were freaking, you had your phone had broken,
- 1:12:54Speaker 6: so you were having you I'm glad to prove myself
- 1:13:00Speaker 6: for good.
- 1:13:01Speaker 1: I need answer from you too. Gift gift, gift, Sydney, curse.
- 1:13:06Speaker 7: I want to hear it.
- 1:13:06Speaker 1: You don't want to hear I want.
- 1:13:08Speaker 15: I want to hear the couple has two rows out
- 1:13:11Speaker 15: breaking up.
- 1:13:11Speaker 7: That's what I want to hear before we even go out.
- 1:13:16Speaker 7: And that's why I'm sleeping with your brother.
- 1:13:19Speaker 6: That's what I want to.
- 1:13:23Speaker 5: Blue.
- 1:13:24Speaker 1: All right, Sydney, you get the point. It's a curse,
- 1:13:34Speaker 1: absolutely a curse. You're not telling me how to enjoy
- 1:13:37Speaker 1: this flight. No, thank you. It's my experience. Let that
- 1:13:40Speaker 1: be my own thing. Don't distract me. I'm stressed out.
- 1:13:44Speaker 1: I don't need delta choosing what I'm listening to. And
- 1:13:48Speaker 1: I mean this new bonus of hearing somebody break up?
- 1:13:50Speaker 1: What a treat that's always gonna happen. Okay, So Sydney
- 1:13:55Speaker 1: leads with one, the other two are losing big. This
- 1:13:58Speaker 1: is from a listener named emilyfter a curse. When you
- 1:14:01Speaker 1: make plans with the couple, then one of them can
- 1:14:03Speaker 1: no longer make it, but the other person still keeps
- 1:14:06Speaker 1: the plans and comes by themselves.
- 1:14:10Speaker 6: Gift.
- 1:14:11Speaker 15: Why if it's the person we didn't want anyway, we're like, yes,
- 1:14:16Speaker 15: we did not need your man here anyway.
- 1:14:19Speaker 7: Thank you.
- 1:14:22Speaker 15: No, y'all really like both of the couple, like both people,
- 1:14:26Speaker 15: and that's never the case. It's always one person keeping
- 1:14:30Speaker 15: them getting the end by anyway.
- 1:14:32Speaker 1: Right, it's so rare that you like both of all them, Yeah,
- 1:14:35Speaker 1: that you're interested in.
- 1:14:36Speaker 6: What if it's the one you don't like and then
- 1:14:40Speaker 6: you have to have that, then that's a curse. Right.
- 1:14:43Speaker 15: The person who's not that like, they know they're not
- 1:14:46Speaker 15: showing up.
- 1:14:47Speaker 7: That's weird, that's weird. If the vibes are off and
- 1:14:50Speaker 7: you lie, I know they don't like it. I'm coming like, no, way,
- 1:14:53Speaker 7: no way.
- 1:14:54Speaker 1: I don't know. Not knowing people don't like you is
- 1:14:57Speaker 1: kind of the characteristic of somebody nobody likes. Ah god, yeah,
- 1:15:03Speaker 1: so it is dangerous.
- 1:15:06Speaker 14: I'm gonna say curse because if one person, if one
- 1:15:10Speaker 14: domino falls, then you're like you you kind of want
- 1:15:14Speaker 14: for the whole thing to to derive.
- 1:15:17Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:15:18Speaker 7: Oh so if one person cancels, you're like, oh, we
- 1:15:20Speaker 7: all don't have to go to dinner.
- 1:15:22Speaker 6: Okay, coo, yeah, I agree, I'm a I'm a real
- 1:15:24Speaker 6: Oh you're cancing. Oh no, I'm bombed. Yeah, I'm saying
- 1:15:30Speaker 6: the full gift. Oh wait, curse if they come, course,
- 1:15:36Speaker 6: if they come.
- 1:15:36Speaker 1: Yeah, the thing is that they actually do demand that
- 1:15:39Speaker 1: let's keep the plans. I want to see you. Yeah, yeah, curse.
- 1:15:44Speaker 1: It's a gift. It's a gift.
- 1:15:48Speaker 5: Why we get.
- 1:15:50Speaker 1: To know somebody, We get to give them one more chair,
- 1:15:54Speaker 1: We've got to give them one personal dinner, and maybe
- 1:15:57Speaker 1: they turn it around, maybe we find out right. Redemption
- 1:16:00Speaker 1: a redemption, it's a redemption tour, one final chance, and
- 1:16:04Speaker 1: then after if it doesn't work, you never invite the
- 1:16:06Speaker 1: couple again. Sure, it's just the one person. You wait
- 1:16:10Speaker 1: for the other person to be out of town.
- 1:16:12Speaker 15: It's a gift, so I say, a gift, so I
- 1:16:14Speaker 15: get the point, right, you got a point?
- 1:16:15Speaker 7: Okay, all I care about this core baby.
- 1:16:22Speaker 1: All right, this final one, well, there's no way I
- 1:16:26Speaker 1: can win.
- 1:16:27Speaker 6: Yeah, so I'm just leaving.
- 1:16:31Speaker 1: But you can feel kind of okay about yourself. Yeah, no, no, okay.
- 1:16:37Speaker 1: This is from a listener named Christian Gift or a
- 1:16:39Speaker 1: curse saying let's go on a cooking competition or any time.
- 1:16:46Speaker 6: I'm torn because my nephew says it. Yeah, but also
- 1:16:53Speaker 6: he's twenty two.
- 1:17:00Speaker 7: Just this journey it makes me.
- 1:17:04Speaker 6: I feel very good that you think I'm funny. Uh, curse, curse. Okay,
- 1:17:11Speaker 6: I don't even care. I know I'm wrong. On the
- 1:17:15Speaker 6: podcast who every time I answered you, I just saw
- 1:17:18Speaker 6: a look in your eyes of like, no.
- 1:17:21Speaker 1: No one can read me. Don't act like you can
- 1:17:23Speaker 1: read me.
- 1:17:24Speaker 6: No I can read you. Once I gave the.
- 1:17:25Speaker 1: Answer, Oh no, not even then, Sydney, what do you think?
- 1:17:30Speaker 7: Can you ask the question?
- 1:17:34Speaker 1: I blacked out as well?
- 1:17:35Speaker 5: What's going on?
- 1:17:37Speaker 1: Where am I? Uh saying let's go on a cooking
- 1:17:40Speaker 1: competition or any time?
- 1:17:46Speaker 7: Curse? No, you don't want to do that okay.
- 1:17:49Speaker 1: It's a nice clean answer.
- 1:17:51Speaker 14: Yeah, I'm thinking, like, what are the alternatives? Let's go
- 1:18:00Speaker 14: is pretty like innocuous, Like it's not like it's a
- 1:18:04Speaker 14: perfectly okay.
- 1:18:05Speaker 5: Thing to say if you're excited or if you want
- 1:18:07Speaker 5: to like you know.
- 1:18:08Speaker 6: But the volume.
- 1:18:11Speaker 5: Volume is gonna be like, that's gonna be constant.
- 1:18:14Speaker 14: If you're excited, you're you're gonna you're gonna phoney, you're
- 1:18:17Speaker 14: gonna you're gonna produce loud sound, you know what I mean.
- 1:18:21Speaker 14: And I would rather you distill it to two words, yeah,
- 1:18:27Speaker 14: or you know, let's your contraction whatever, and let us go.
- 1:18:32Speaker 5: Let us go.
- 1:18:34Speaker 1: Oh that's way better, that's beautiful.
- 1:18:37Speaker 5: Yeah, that's good.
- 1:18:39Speaker 1: Let's just want to be you're escaping.
- 1:18:41Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, let go.
- 1:18:45Speaker 14: And if you're on a cooking competition, that's all you
- 1:18:47Speaker 14: want to do.
- 1:18:48Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 1:18:50Speaker 5: I feel like it's not a terrible.
- 1:18:51Speaker 14: Thing to scream. There are there are more toxic things
- 1:18:54Speaker 14: to scream, and.
- 1:18:55Speaker 15: So well, the person who's like let's go usually is annoying,
- 1:19:02Speaker 15: like they're gonna make it bad. It's never the cool
- 1:19:05Speaker 15: person like let's go, and someondy's like, oh my god,
- 1:19:08Speaker 15: so let's go.
- 1:19:09Speaker 7: I'm gonna plan everything.
- 1:19:10Speaker 15: We're gonna have an itinerary, and we gotta wear different
- 1:19:13Speaker 15: shirts like no, I don't.
- 1:19:15Speaker 6: And there's always been like hand motions.
- 1:19:17Speaker 1: Oh yeah, there's always too much.
- 1:19:18Speaker 5: Move your nephew, do that is your nephew?
- 1:19:23Speaker 6: No comment because we're in public.
- 1:19:24Speaker 1: But it's a curse. Bowen, I'm so sorry.
- 1:19:33Speaker 7: Wow, I'm flawless.
- 1:19:35Speaker 4: Yo.
- 1:19:35Speaker 7: That's very goot.
- 1:19:41Speaker 1: Jeff, you've got one point, thank god. And Bowen, you're
- 1:19:47Speaker 1: in a very elite group of losers. Yes, Carl Tart
- 1:19:51Speaker 1: was a big loser and he turned it around.
- 1:19:53Speaker 14: But Carl, I trust Car and I are like on
- 1:19:57Speaker 14: the same way like we are.
- 1:19:59Speaker 13: Yeah, we worked last night.
- 1:20:03Speaker 1: We're tired, any excuses. I slept less than usual last night,
- 1:20:09Speaker 1: so that like a legit marketphone.
- 1:20:15Speaker 11: You're so quiet.
- 1:20:16Speaker 8: I didn't want to interrupt. This is not my show.
- 1:20:20Speaker 1: I'm not Carl brought that from home, all.
- 1:20:24Speaker 8: The way from l A. Yeah, La is really dead.

- 1:22:55Speaker 1: think it's pretty clear that the podcast is wrapping up.
- 1:22:58Speaker 1: The listener knows. The listener is panicking about the rest
- 1:23:01Speaker 1: of their day. It's nighttime here, so you, like you
- 1:23:03Speaker 1: basically get to go to sleep without the panic listener.
- 1:23:06Speaker 1: The podcast is over now. I'm just going to talk
- 1:23:08Speaker 1: to the audience turn off. If they allow the rest
