- Quantum Bombs Welcome to Quantum Bombs, a commentary show on the human condition through metaphysics and freedom. Happy Halloween everybody! There's never a better time to talk about today's topic than the holidays. You know when we see online or in the news and you hear someone has passed away, you're reading about the person or their family or the incident. There's so much human emotions that we feel looking at this and we want to send blessings and condolences. And the best thing we can write and I find myself wanting to write it because I don't know what to say, but I want to say something. It's moved me. Rest in peace. But I can't bring myself to actually type it because I've even typed it out and couldn't hit submit. Why? Because I know it's factually inaccurate in every capacity. It makes zero sense. You as a believer know this. If you have a soul, it's not resting after death. And if you're a materialist and atheist, you too know that you believe that there is no conscious being to be in a restful state. So it's factually inaccurate in every capacity yet it's our number one way in modern western society to say goodbye. So I think that's first in a philosophical sense, an interesting thing just to look at and what does it say about us? How do we teach kids this and what does that say about our understanding of metaphysics? It's something that we're so far away from. It's even taboo to talk about death in our western culture. So it's like pretty much the only reason that we are walking around behind all fear is the fear of death, the feeling that this is an entropic world, that we're living in everything is in a state of entropy and decay. And it's something that we just shelf for the side until this inconvenient truth just pops up in the news of someone you might know or it's just in our face with war every day and the best we got is rest in peace. Now it's not necessarily a good or a bad thing that our number one way to say goodbye makes no sense at all. It's kind of part of this messy condition of being in the human condition that we avoid even talking about the human condition and this condition that of what this really is that we came here, the earth condition I like to think, the virtual simulation that God has beamed us into, the understanding of all that. It's all just, it's like we're all supposed to understand it, like we walk around like we understand it and we say things like rest in peace and we go to the funerals and we wear the black, but if we really just slowed down and stopped, you know, there's so much gray area or different beliefs and confusion and, you know, you kind of fall around the way of way to frame things, whether it's for children or even for ourselves, probably because we're stacking on words that throughout time have been reevaluated and to be a little bit more accurate, but we're still stuck way back when before BC, before Jesus came. So today's episode, we're really going to be marching through the five times in history that we've changed our thoughts on rest in peace. We kept the saying, but we changed what we think happens to our soul status after death. So we're going to kind of look at, well, scripture says this, so this is what we believe, but then that really wasn't working out so well for us. So we kind of like found new scripture and made an adjustment to our belief of what's happening to the soul. And then you can kind of think, is this, you know, how the humans have changed throughout time on how we're interpreting scripture? Is it ad hoc critic would say, which is, we're kind of just like, you still believe what we believe, but in order to make that make sense, we kind of like got to change how in the very moment of how we're thinking to something else? Or is it just developmental doctrine saying, no, the more we look at scripture, the better understanding we have our growth, our knowledge is growing. So let's hop into rest in peace, baby. All right. It came from the Catholic Church prayer for the dead on gravestones from the 1700s. They wrote in Latin, Requiscat in pace. And our translation to that is rest in peace or our Latin may he rest in peace, which the initials actually turned out to be the same as well. Our five stops in history. Our first stop goes to ancient Israel, 700 BC. So this is before Jesus in Israel. The soul status at the top, guys, is that we are asleep in Sheol because back then there was no heaven. So everyone goes to this place called Sheol, which is a shadowy afterlife where the dead just rest. We know some of the scriptures from the Old Testament say he shall enter into peace. They shall rest in their beds, beds, meaning graves. Many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake. So this was our first adjustment because we're like, oh, wait, we get to wake. This is great. The sleepers will wake up one day. Okay. Now let's move forward in history to Jesus followers. This is right after 30 AD to 100 AD. The immediate followers of Jesus in Jerusalem and then throughout the Roman Empire. Okay. So now we're already making some further adjustments because this guy named Jesus came to town. So Thessalonians, the dead in Christ shall rise first, then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them. Thessalonians already having us make a second adjustment. So this is where our thoughts begin. We're asleep in the grave, but now we're going to wake up when Jesus comes back. And they also call this judgment day, right? So your soul is going to wake up. And then at that moment in time, you're also going to be judged if you were good or bad, right? So let's fast forward now. About 100 years go by post Jesus and he hasn't came yet. So now we look to Peter's saying three eight one day with the Lord is as a thousand years. And this is when we make the third adjustment saying soon to God could be quite different than our soon. So we don't really know how God calculates time. So the souls are just going to keep sleeping further into Peter three nine, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance. Oh, maybe Jesus is taking a longer time to come back because we're waiting on purpose so more people can repent. So we just keep sleeping in our graves. So let's fast forward down now to 150 to about 480 in ancient Rome. But of that day and that hour, no man and they're like, you know what? Why didn't we just pay attention to this scripture first? It just says stop trying to predict the day that Jesus is coming back, right? So we're still your soul is believed to be sleeping that grave waking when Jesus returns and no one knows when that is. It's also interesting to point out on these sayings that we get in Rome in the catacombs underneath Rome in the burials. They wrote dormit in pace. He sleeps in peace. That's Latin, which also reminds me like dormier means to sleep in Spanish. And this is where the word dormitory in English actually comes from. We also have the Greek word cometerian, which means sleeping place and cometerium in Latin means cemetery in English. So even our cemeteries mean resting place, sleeping place. Let's move on to the Catholic Church. We're going to see some changes more similar to how we view our souls not resting during this time period. It's not quite clear. So it took from 700 AD all the way to 1336 AD to have this to become kind of like more official. And we're just going to kind of walk through some times in history. Okay. So I like to point out the soul status at the top. And this is when that we got the Catholics to think for this very important change, which is your soul, it can be awake now and heaven, hell or purgatory. But your body is still in the grave. So they've separated the body from the soul. And that body is also still waiting for Jesus to come back, they believe. So back in 700 AD, Catholic Church says, you know what? Some souls are going to heaven actually. Finally, yes. They're going through purgatory first and then they're going to heaven. And this is what November 1st, All Saints Day, which means you're praying for the people in heaven. If you're in heaven, you're a saint according to the Catholics. This is where Halloween comes in. All Hallows Eve, Hallow meaning saint is just saying it's the day before we pray for saints. Isn't that funny? But yet somehow it kind of got mashed into what it is today. And so many evangelical and fundamental Christians like it's bad, right? Well, how did it get? It's bad. It kind of like got merged in with the Celtic, so in harvest festivals of bonfires and costumes. And it's believed to have the thinnest veil between the dimensions of where ghosts are and where we physical people are. So I think that's kind of how we got our Halloween that we have in November 2nd. So the day after All Saints Day is All Souls Day. And that became two or 300 years later, around 988 AD. And we're praying for those still hanging out in purgatory. We'll come back to the idea of purgatory near the end of the episode. Okay, so we need to make another adjustment, guys. So we're looking more for scripture. This is only in the Catholic Bible. It is therefore a holy and wholesome thought to pray for the dead. So adjustments. The soul isn't sleeping. Saints are in heaven. Most go to purgatory first, then heaven. And our prayers help them get there. Gotta love it. I was raised Catholic, so I know how very much this feels. I've taken a lot of that worship with me. One word in my adult belief system, which is a jumble of a lot. Okay, so here we are for the final let's make it official, guys, of what your soul is doing. 1336, the Pope made it official. How did it happen? Well, it didn't happen easy, guys. Some drama has to go down first. So in 1331, we're already believing in this time, guys, that we're getting souls to purgatory and then heaven. But Pope John, the 22nd, says, good souls wait until judgment day. That was an uproar. People didn't like that. So on his deathbed in 1334, he took it back. He's like, you're right. All souls get to go to purgatory and eventually heaven, hopefully. So to squash any confusion, 1336, Pope Benedict the 12th makes it right away official. It is official. You can, you know, you can go to heaven. You're not just sitting there resting. And they've got the scripture from Luke, Jesus to the thief on the cross. Amen. I love this one. We finally thought let's just look straight to what Jesus said again as a really incremental time. Today, shout thou be with me and paradise. So we now took that to mean no more waiting at all. You're judged the moment you die. Heaven, hell or purgatory, only the body waits for judgment day. I actually learned that by doing this episode. I did not know that most Christians today believe that you're still waiting for the second coming of Jesus for your body to be raised with you in heaven. We'll get to that. Oh, I'll hit it now. I'll read you quickly about your body and heaven from chapter 43 of the autobiography of a yogi. I like getting my cosmology from the East because it's the only place you can get it. The West has no cosmology answering questions like what is reality made of? How is heaven? What how is universe work? I need God explained to me with physics and atoms and no book does it better than the autobiography of a yogi. I highly recommend if you want to know more about the science of our body and how it works in heaven, this chapter covers it. The astral body, that's us, is an exact counterpart of the last physical form. Astral beings retain the same appearance which they possessed in youth in their previous earthly sojourn. Occasionally an astral being chooses, like myself, to retain his old age appearance. So that was an older man telling him we basically choose to be our 26 year old selves in heaven that we were here on earth in our last lifetime. Okay, so let's move forward to today. So Christians today believe that the soul is judged at death and that the body rises on judgment day when Jesus comes back. So that's saying that you believe your skeleton in the ground or ashes, I guess, are going to manifest into your earth body that joins you in heaven. Whereas my argument is your life tronic body, astral body, can manifest anybody at once at will. So you actually change your shapes in heaven. I believe you're more of like a shape shifting thing of how you feel. Maybe you want to be, you know, something different and then you change back to your younger self. I don't know. Tomato, tomato, purgatory, Catholics only. So they're believing that you don't just get to go straight to heaven. There's a cleansing and some prayers that need to happen. Here's my take again. It's quite different but explained also in chapter 43, which is, there's layers, right? I told you we have these bodies that are separating ourselves. The top echelon, top shelf is God, is Jesus, that vibration and consciousness that he carries. We still have our desires from our point of view, which God intended. He wanted to experience himself through his children. So we have our own unique point of view, but we have all these desires that keeps us not from being this certain vibration God is. As you shed those layers, you change where you are and actually heaven. So it's not even that boring up there. In fact, you're going to shed your life, chronic body and become more of a causal, ideational body where you're really manifesting. Cause now you're just ideas manifesting anything at will and you're lighter. You have less of a body. You don't even have the life, chronic body that's feeding the astral brain and heart and stuff. Okay. And then you've got people still believe you're still asleep. The seventh day Adventist and Jehovah's Witness, they actually believe you're still asleep. So just quickly to kind of go through the six switches of when the body dies, six beliefs. We've got our, you're still asleep of the Advents and the early Christians we just discussed. We have our majority of Christians believing that you're judged at death, heaven, hell or purgatory. Then we have our review and reborn, which is after you die, you go to heaven, hell or purgatory. And then you get a new body and revisit. I have it called review because they have this belief that instead of being judged as God looking at you, it's you looking at yourself through everyone else and God through. Thomas Campbell coined the term I like using it, larger consciousness system. We are here as a point of view experiencing what God wanted to experience himself through all of us. And we're able to see, ah, I heard maybe even the tree. I heard that person. You're feeling what you made others feel. Then you hang out in heaven and then you're reborn here on earth again is what they believe. That will bring me to actually rise is the next one I want to hit because if you also believe in this reincarnation cycle, how it works. Like I mentioned, there's three bodies. Eventually you're going to kick the earth body altogether and then you only have two bodies left to shed. So and those are your heaven bodies anyways. So you're no longer going to be visiting earth. That's yogis. That's mystics. That's people that have gone through it and they're like, this is my last sojourn here. I've done everything I could do possibly to help this experience we're in. And my time is now more needed in heaven. So you're all you own. So you're going to rise up and not come back at all. Then we want to hit our linger box. This is many different people. It explains ghosts. So I've heard monks, nuns, priests, pastors say similar things that when you have a fast or odd death experience, you're soul mailing or specifically because I believe your two other bodies, your, your life tronic astral body and your ideational thought body. Leave through the spine. And anyways, though I think about explosions all the time I work with explosives. I have a friend that's in the industry and we talk about this often actually, which is, you know, there's a car wreck. That's instant, but an explosion is as instant as it can get. Are we going to be hanging around as ghost? If this is how, you know, we accidentally go or he goes one day, you know, we joke around this. And anyway, so we've got ghosts that linger people. It's also said that if you're in, you're very physically based, you're into the money into the sex, drugs, alcohol. These are all heavy physical inert is what I want to say earth bound things. You're more likely going to go to after you die. Well, first off, you're going to linger as a ghost hope that some souls come down. I think I would call them angels because apparently we're assigned like at least three at every, at all times in life. You have like three other souls and angelic entities to pray to, to help you, you know, work through things. Though I often always forget about them. Hopefully you're going to get rescued as a lingering ghost eventually and pulled back into where you need to be, which is heaven. But for those ones that are earthbound are really stuck with the physical gifts of this world. You're probably going to go to a lower vibrational realm of heaven. And eventually from what I would believe is you would review and re reborn again until you can hit that rise button. And I will reincarnation different topic took me over a year to to munch on this. It was a year of transitioning wasn't easy. So I just want to make note of that that it's it's so much. But then once I once I got it, it really made sense because if again, I need atoms, I need physics, I need nature. It all needs to make sense in my mind and everything works in cycles. So, you know, anyway, lights out is for our materialist atheist. After you die, they just believe nothing else. Your consciousness ends because it was always matter based anyways. Alrighty, Socrates, you know, before he passed away, his student Plato wrote Phaedo about this. And it really just reminded me that there's preparation before death. And he said before he died is not philosophy, the practice of death. And another quote is he is ever pursuing death and dying in a philosophy in a way similar to how yogis do it. That's yogis do it spiritually. Philosophers do it intellectually, really separating your, your soul from the ego. The ego is what's tying our soul to our body and making this earth, this virtual simulation seem real through the five senses. And, you know, you could watch your emotions pass in front of you, right? Like, okay, that's anger. I'm separate from that. You know, philosophers did their entire life on letting go. So the philosophers were dying to the self through thought. Now, if you want to take that to a more of a physical, you could die through practice, actual physical body practice. I've said before on many times, meditation is the science of turning off the five sensory telephones. So you could go inward and experience stillness and what steps in is God's peace. And after some time, you are blessed with Christ consciousness, the spiritual eye, to have that experience. So Gananda believed that Paul knew how to consciously leave the body when he said in Corinthians, I die daily. So he could totally disagree or agree of what this means. But what I believe it means is every day in meditation, he goes to God. He knows how to turn off the body levers. Yes, meditators can stop breathing and can stop our hearts. We were able to do that. And you're able to realize my consciousness is not attached to my body because you're not in the body, right? And you're still completely thriving if not just thriving, but you're in a massive amount of peace, clarity and are being shown things. Now, to take this to the further end note, I covered this on my supernatural episode would love for you to watch it. Let me set this up properly. So what is the point of life, right? What is the best way you could possibly live it? You have obtained all possible wisdom, knowledge spiritually, physically and metaphysically while here on earth. As a meditator, you have already stepped out of your physical body many times and joined the Lord in heaven and come back daily over and over again. While you're doing that, you're making all your relationships right. You know that every relationship left here on earth has been spiritually pushed to the end in a beautiful way. When you've done that, then you decide I'm going to leave my body one final time by choice. There is no death. That's the point. The body was just a vessel for you to be in the virtual simulation. The Buddhist monks call this tuk dem. Die meditation sitting upright. The body stays fresh for days. That's true. And you could see that actually on YouTube. Then you have an Indian yogis called Mahasamadhi, a master's conscious final exit from the body. In tradition, they have their devotees and the people that there's famous monks there. And they will go amongst all of them, sometimes even on a stage. They're standing up. They turn around in one circle and then they sit down. They go into their lotus posture and they go to God. In 1952, this feels odd reading this to you because Yogananda is my guru and I really do separate my own personal self and something as intimate as this topic from the public. But AI put it on here, so I will read it to you. When he passed away, there was no visible decay 20 days after death per the Forest Law and Mortuary Director. This is very well documented. What's interesting is that this year we've raised, I think, $180 million to rehabilitate our mother's center. And he will be dug up from the Forest Law and placed in his final shrine for all to come and see right there at the mother's center. And I did my curiosity, got the best of me. I wondered if they will, I don't know if it's good or not if we open it up just to show that he's still untouched. What is it, 80 years later that his body hasn't decomposed at all or not? Because the point is not to show that to make it a spectacle. And when he did come to the United States and started teaching people about spirituality and all these things that you could do to defy the laws of physics or that we know, he realized it does become a circus spectacle. And then so he, I mean, he's a very, it's a very, the most reverent practice I found in my lifetime when I mean reverent, meaning devout to God in the most reverent way. And so putting him on what's possible on spectacle, it doesn't feel reverent. But yet, sometimes you need to shock people and wake them up to let you know that like, there is a bigger God up there and there is a different, there's the metaphysical world that dictates the physical world. And that's why I love metaphysics. So Yogananda wants us to know that basically your soul is always in a state of three, three things, ever existing, ever conscious, ever new bliss. Satchit Ananda is, that's what it means, existing consciousness bliss. Those are the three things that we could use to describe our soul as well as God. So we are the opposite of resting. It applies to nobody rest in peace, but may, may we continue to say it because it does feel good. What do other people say? You know, you have Om Shanti that the Hindus say, Om meaning Amen and Shanti means peace. So it's kind of like peace on your journey. It's, it's like a wish for the peace on the journey. And the Jewish have an inscription of five letters engraved on their head, headstones that translates to may his soul be bound up in the bond of life. So that one's wishing the soul life bond sounds a bit funny though, because the idea of really knowing God is to not be bound because God is not bound. So we are only bound again, as long as we have our desires. Anyways, I don't think there's any right, right way of getting it because we've been trying to figure it out for so long. And then in the modern age now, we're not into figuring it out. So we just keep the old and I'm okay with that. I'm okay. In fact, it being an accurate is definitely part of the sloppy human condition experience. Everything here is a, is a delusion, the illusion and delusion of this virtual stimulation of, you know, everything is a trick or five senses are playing a trick. You know, when you bare bones this thing down this experience, it's a trick. So a trick meaning you're tricking your senses that this is real. Nothing is real, but the absolute reality, which is the heaven that we're talking about. We're going to be joining. This is the only place we don't know that though. So the absolute reality, I like to call that's my scientific name for heaven. That being our true reality, the trick is that we're here thinking that we're going and then saying that we're going to go to sleep after we die. As opposed to joining back with ourself who already signed up for the experience to visit earth as like just think of it as a theme part you'd signed up for when you were already living your best life in the absolute reality heaven beforehand. Or as you might say it, once the sperm met the ovum, that's how I believe most Christians, if you don't believe in reincarnation, you would believe that a magical spark was sent to you from God. When the sperm met the ovum and that your consciousness stream, you spawned in and it was the first time that you were turned on. I love thinking it's very helpful. Please watch my virtual simulation video about, explain virtual, the simulation theory to you, which is I indeed believe we are in one and some of the greatest minds of all time that are studying reality believe that we are in. And that's what I do. I tell you who does and doesn't believe in simulation theory and I try to help you understand it more from a spiritual sense and a scientific sense. Alright guys, I just really want to tell you rest in peace. That's like a weird, that's a weird blessing to give us while we're thriving in life. Actually, you know, maybe the irony is, is that resting is exactly, we are asleep here. That's why they say when you get to heaven, you'll wake up. So I guess rest in peace is the best way to put it. It's the best thing to say while you hear on earth, because we are in a sleepful state right here. We are asleep. This, I should say that at the top. This is 100% the dream that we are dreaming. We are sleeping. May we rest in peace is a beautiful thing because we are sleeping here on earth and now we're wishing ourself peace in the sleep. So guys, I've worked it out. I can say it to you on camera and it's a good way to end it baby. Stay human, stay free and may we all rest in peace baby. Bye bye.
