  evening welcome to today's green teca ngx daily market summary apologies we are running a bit late i'm seeing different uh data sources so i had to go with the most common data source um across all platforms just to have uniform information anyways let's get into the numbers the ocean index gained 0.47 the index measures the average performance of stocks we had 608.4 million shares valued at 32 billion naira traded in a bit over 53 000

  uh deals on the gainer side of things three stocks appreciated by ten percent international energy insurance star communications and abby bank uh international energy insurance losing that 726 couple up by 66 couple that communications closing at 198 couple up by 18 couple and then abby bank losing at 985 couple up by 85 couple on the loser's side of things academy press was the worst performing stock today declining by 9.84 percent clues at 825 couple

  a university press fell by 9.73 percent losing at 5.10 couple and then you have vfd group at declining by 7.59 to close at 10.35 a couple down 85 couple and in terms of volume traded abby bank took position of the 164 million shares traded ella lakes was next with 76.7 million shares traded and then assets corporation took third place with 44.7 million shares traded

  On the value side of things, Surplat led with 9.73 billion Naira worth of shares traded. Second place was Aradel with 3.87 billion Naira worth of shares traded. Third place was MTN Nigeria with 3.27 billion Naira worth of shares traded. So is anything else? Just before we go, let's check the NGS corporate disclosure page.   uh insurance um that they've uh they've uh they've made a statutory deposit of 10 percent of their regulatory minimum capital with cbn and that's in line with the insurance act of 2025 so they've deposited um 1.5 billion a statutory deposit as a non-life insurance company uh with the cb and the deposit was made before the deadline of may 31st 2020
