Transcript
- Prashanthi Nuthi: Hello friends, recently my husband and I have been doing 5K walks in this park. One day when we were walking the trail, a couple passed by us. They were energetic, brisk walking and pacing away, while we were almost exhausted, dragging our feet towards the end of the trail My immediate reaction was I said look at them and look at us. And suddenly I realized the park had multiple entrances and they might have just started five minutes away. Versus we have been walking the trail for almost one hour. We do this at work too. We compare two different organizations, maybe a startup with modern technology and a company which has been there for years with legacy technology. We may be comparing two different individuals based on dashboard metrics without knowing where they started their journey. Maybe one is a fresher versus the other one is an experienced individual. So here's the microbes for you today. Before you start comparing yourself personally or professionally, ask yourself two questions. Where did they start the journey from and where did I start the journey from? If you don't know the answer to those two questions, then you might not be doing the right comparison. Remember small actions, big impact. Until we meet again next time, let's keep making impact together
