  schweedty Ball's charity golf tournament Scramble, which I just love to say. Let's

  welcome Mike and John. Hey guys, Hey, thanks for having us,

  good morning, Thank you, appreciate you guys coming. And of course the

  name, I think it's everybody's attention, but more importantly, the cause is
• 0:17
  what's getting a lot of attension in our area. Can you guys tell us
• 0:20
  a little bit about the organization. Well, yes, we started eight years
• 0:24
  ago. April is a gesticular cancer awareness month, so that's why we are
• 0:27
  here today and that's why we are pushing event. Yeah, but it started
• 0:31
  out as just a golf tournament for fun and a friend of mine so they
• 0:35
  let's make a charity out of this. So this is eight years later,
• 0:38
  here we are. We keep growing. Oh you gotta love that. That's
• 0:40
  so cool. And so this is the eighth one and it's a big event.

  Of course, in eight years it's grown to be quite the ordeal and
• 0:46
  obviously for a great cause. So how does it go? What's the event?

  Like? How do people get involved? You can contact us through Schweatyballs

  charitygolf dot com. We need volunteers for the golf tournament and all year round.

  I think we have fourteen teams that are still available, but we're looking
• 1:02
  for whole sponsorships. Oh, there you go. Sponsorships, donations, donations.

  Well, that's what's so great. There's a lot of people listening right
• 1:08
  now that like to give back. They have a lot of donations, whether
• 1:12
  it be I'm guessing you guys have some sort of auction as well, probably
• 1:15
  going on. Yeah. You know, we wouldn't be able to do this
• 1:18
  without the volunteers, without the community, the donations that they give us for
• 1:22
  it, and it makes it a great event. It's June twenty eighth,
• 1:26
  it's at Meadows. We have a four person scramble. It's you know.

  I met John and a group of guys having a cocktail one evening and somehow
• 1:34
  it came up that I'm a testicular cancer survivor and John said, you got
• 1:37
  to get involved, and I have and no regrets. It's a great event.
• 1:40
  We do great things. It's really nice to give back to the community.
• 1:45
  Like I said earlier, we wouldn't be able to do this if the
• 1:47
  community wouldn't give to us too. So Mike, that's so cool that you're
• 1:49
  involved being a survivor yourself. So awesome to have you. And yeah,
• 1:53
  great tournament and scrambles are always a great time, and you guys even have
• 1:57
  some big prizes and things like that to be one right, absolutely, we
• 2:00
  have three flights. And the reason we do that is there's good golfers and
• 2:05
  then there's golfers like me and Pike and Pike okay, so everybody gets a
• 2:12
  chance to all to win something. Yeah, I like golf cart raffle,
• 2:15
  a lot of cool stuff you could probably win out here. So all you
• 2:17
  got to do is, like you guys said, check out the website,

  which again was what the website was? What again? Sweaty balls. That's

  perfect? I got confuser for a minute. Well, we're going to put

  it all on our Facebook page as well, and really quick, I want

  people to know because you guys launched a campaign called Sweaty Cares, and you
• 2:42
  guys are actually giving a lot of these donations and everything are going back into
• 2:45
  our community. Can you guys talk a little bit about that. Yes,
• 2:49
  as we've grown, we are fundraising has grown as well, and in twenty
• 2:53
  twenty one we decided to expand. And so right now I think we've given
• 3:00
  thirty eight thousand dollars oh wow date, and this isn't just for testicular cancer.

  It's for any cancer really, yes, and this is all locally right
• 3:08
  for families around here. That's so great. And if anybody knows somebody,
• 3:13
  I mean, we be having our Sweaty Cares events sometime in July August.

  I don't think we've picked the date, but after a golf tournament we will.
• 3:22
  We'll do the accounting, and the executive board, which Mike is the
• 3:25
  president of, will we'll give money to the Schweaty Cares Board, which is
• 3:30
  an advisory board that's totally independent of Sweaty that's just lay people in the town.

  Okay, yeah, so they will distribute the money. But we need
• 3:40
  nominations as well. Yeah, and unfortunately there's never a shortage of those.
• 3:45
  So yeah, that's great. You guys do that year round. So props
• 3:47
  to you guys for throwing such a fun event and doing great work with the
• 3:51
