• 2:18
  You

• 2:34
  Man,
• 2:34
  that
• 2:35
  is
• 2:35
  so
• 2:35
  exciting
• 2:36
  because
• 2:37
  as
• 2:37
  the
• 2:38

• 2:38
  have
• 2:38

• 2:56
  and

  been

  all

• 3:00
  that
• 3:01
  I
• 3:01
  took
• 3:01
  back
• 3:01
  in
• 3:01
  the
• 3:01
  day
• 3:02
  that
• 3:03
  got
• 3:03
  me
• 3:03
  to
• 3:03
  where
• 3:03
  I
• 3:03
  am
• 3:04
  have
• 3:04
  been
• 3:04
  just
• 3:05
  robbed
• 3:05
  and
• 3:06
  stolen
• 3:06
  out
• 3:06
  of
• 3:07
  there
• 3:07
  and
• 3:07
  you
• 3:08
  guys
• 3:08
  over
• 3:08
  there
• 3:08
  at
• 3:09
  Forest
• 3:09
  Grove
• 3:10
  have
• 3:10
  been
• 3:10
  just
• 3:10
  waving
• 3:11
  the
• 3:11
  flag
• 3:11
  and
• 3:12
  doing
• 3:12
  it
• 3:12
  right
• 3:12
  year
• 3:13
  after
• 3:13
  year.
• 3:14
  Thank
• 3:14
  you.
• 3:15
  I
• 3:15
  mean
• 3:15
  we
• 3:15
  work
• 3:16
  really
• 3:16
  hard
• 3:16
  at
• 3:16
  it.
• 3:17
  I
• 3:17
  came
• 3:17
  in
• 3:18
  in
• 3:18
  the
• 3:18
  early
• 3:19
  90s
• 3:19
  and
• 3:20
  someone
• 3:20
  had
• 3:20
  reached
• 3:21
  out
• 3:21
  to
• 3:21
  me.
• 3:21
  I
• 3:21
  was
• 3:21
  A
• 3:22
  home
• 3:22
  building
• 3:23
  construction
• 3:24
  superintendent
• 3:25
  and
• 3:25
  they
• 3:25
  were
• 3:25
  looking
• 3:25
  for
• 3:25
  someone
• 3:26
  to
• 3:26
  take
• 3:26
  over
• 3:26
  their
• 3:27
  home
• 3:27
  building
• 3:27
  program
• 3:27
  and
• 3:28
  also
• 3:28
  teach
• 3:28
  wood
• 3:29
  shop.
• 3:30
  And
• 3:30
  I
• 3:30
  didn't
• 3:30
  know
• 3:30
  I
• 3:30
  was
• 3:30
  qualified
• 3:31
  but.
• 3:32
  And
• 3:32
  I
• 3:32
  told
• 3:32
  them
• 3:32
  so
• 3:33
  when
• 3:33
  they,
• 3:33
  when
• 3:33
  they
• 3:33
  got
• 3:34
  ahold
• 3:34
  of
• 3:34
  me
• 3:34
  and.
• 3:35
  But
• 3:35
  it
• 3:35
  turns
• 3:35
  out
• 3:36
  in
• 3:36
  Oregon
• 3:36
  that
• 3:36
  you
• 3:37
  can
• 3:37
  teach
• 3:37
  your
• 3:37
  trade,
• 3:38
  man.
• 3:39
  So
• 3:39
  I
• 3:39
  jumped
• 3:40
  through
• 3:40
  a
• 3:40
  few
• 3:40
  hoops
• 3:41
  and
• 3:42
  it
• 3:42
  was
• 3:42
  culture
• 3:43
  shock
• 3:43
  coming
• 3:43
  from
• 3:44
  a
• 3:44
  job
• 3:44
  site
• 3:44
  to
• 3:44
  a
• 3:45
  classroom.
• 3:45
  But
• 3:46
  I
• 3:46
  adjusted.
• 3:47
  Yeah,
• 3:47
  I
• 3:47
  felt
• 3:48
  like
• 3:48
  a
• 3:48
  pioneer
• 3:48
  then.
• 3:49
  But
• 3:49
  since
• 3:49
  then
• 3:49
  I
• 3:50
  have
• 3:50
  to
• 3:50
  say
• 3:50
  some.
• 3:50
  We've
• 3:51
  had,
• 3:51
  we
• 3:51
  have
• 3:51
  a
• 3:51
  lot
• 3:51
  of
• 3:52
  successful.
• 3:53
  I'm
• 3:54
  going
• 3:54
  to
• 3:54
  use.
• 3:54
  If
• 3:54
  I
• 3:54
  go
• 3:55
  old
• 3:55
  school,
• 3:55
  I
• 3:55
  call
• 3:55
  it
• 3:55
  vocational
• 3:56
  now
• 3:56
  it's
• 3:57
  called
• 3:57
  CTE
• 3:58
  Career
• 3:58
  Technical
• 3:59
  Education.
• 4:01
  My
• 4:01
  co
• 4:01
  worker,
• 4:01
  Arnolfo
• 4:02
  Martinez,
• 4:02
  he's
• 4:03
  a
• 4:03
  master
• 4:03
  cabinet
• 4:04
  maker.
• 4:05
  Our
• 4:05
  culinary
• 4:05
  teacher
• 4:06
  is
• 4:06
  a
• 4:06
  real
• 4:06
  chef.
• 4:08
  We
• 4:08
  have
• 4:08
  a
• 4:08
  few
• 4:08
  engineers
• 4:09
  that
• 4:09
  are
• 4:09
  teaching
• 4:10
  robotics
• 4:10
  and
• 4:10
  things
• 4:11
  like
• 4:11
  that.
• 4:11
  So
• 4:12
  it's
• 4:12
  cool
• 4:13
  when
• 4:13
  they
• 4:13
  bring
• 4:13
  people
• 4:14
  in
• 4:14
  from
• 4:15
  the
• 4:15
  professions
• 4:16
  to
• 4:16
  try
• 4:17
  to
• 4:17
  teach
• 4:18
  those.
• 4:18
  But
• 4:18
  yeah,
• 4:19
  when
• 4:19
  I
• 4:19
  came
• 4:19
  in
• 4:21
  it
• 4:21
  was
• 4:21
  still,
• 4:23
  oh,
• 4:24
  I
• 4:24
  wouldn't
• 4:24
  say
• 4:24
  it
• 4:24
  was
• 4:24
  the
• 4:24
  most
• 4:25
  popular
• 4:26
  choice,
• 4:26
  you
• 4:26
  know,
• 4:27
  among
• 4:27
  electives.
• 4:27
  And
• 4:29
  it
• 4:29
  seemed
• 4:29
  like
• 4:29
  we
• 4:29
  struggled
• 4:30
  for
• 4:30
  quite
• 4:30
  a
• 4:30
  few
• 4:30
  years
• 4:31
  just
• 4:31
  to
• 4:31
  kind
• 4:31
  of
• 4:31
  gain
• 4:32
  equal
• 4:32
  footing
• 4:33
  that
• 4:33
  you
• 4:33
  don't
• 4:33
  have
• 4:34
  to
• 4:34
  go
• 4:34
  to
• 4:34
  college.
• 4:34
  There's
• 4:35
  a
• 4:35
  lot
• 4:35
  of
• 4:35
  lucrative
• 4:36
  trades
• 4:37
  out
• 4:37
  there
• 4:37
  and
• 4:38
  professions
• 4:38
  associated
• 4:39
  with
• 4:39
  construction
• 4:40
  that,
• 4:40
  you
• 4:41
  know,
• 4:41
  you
• 4:41
  can
• 4:42
  do
• 4:42
  without
• 4:43
  student
• 4:43
  debt
• 4:43
  and
• 4:45
  get
• 4:45
  a
• 4:46
  good
• 4:46
  living
• 4:46
  wage
• 4:46
  almost
• 4:47
  right
• 4:47
  out
• 4:47
  of
• 4:47
  the
• 4:47
  gate.
• 4:48
  Anyway,
• 4:49
  yeah,
• 4:50
  we've
• 4:50
  been
• 4:51
  part
• 4:51
  of
• 4:51
  that
• 4:51
  message.
• 4:51
  But
• 4:52
  you
• 4:52
  know,
• 4:52
  like
• 4:52
  nationally,
• 4:53
  obviously
• 4:53
  we
• 4:54
  were
• 4:54
  just
• 4:54
  talking
• 4:54
  about.
• 4:54
  Mike
• 4:55
  Rowe
• 4:55
  has
• 4:55
  promulgated
• 4:56
  that
• 4:56
  for
• 4:57
  guys
• 4:57
  like
• 4:58
  us.
• 4:58
  Yeah,
• 4:59
  and
• 4:59
  I
• 4:59
  have.
• 4:59
  We
• 5:00
  have
• 5:00
  seen
• 5:00
  the
• 5:00
  tide
• 5:01
  turn.
• 5:02
  When
• 5:02
  I
• 5:02
  was
• 5:02
  a
• 5:02
  student
• 5:03
  in
• 5:03
  high
• 5:03
  school
• 5:03
  in
• 5:03
  the
• 5:04
  80s,
• 5:05
  these
• 5:05
  programs
• 5:06
  were
• 5:06
  more
• 5:06
  common.
• 5:07
  In
• 5:08
  fact,
• 5:08
  the
• 5:08
  three
• 5:08
  area
• 5:09
  high
• 5:09
  schools
• 5:09
  in
• 5:09
  Beaverton,
• 5:10
  we
• 5:10
  all
• 5:10
  built
• 5:11
  a
• 5:11
  house
• 5:11
  and
• 5:11
  went
• 5:11
  and
• 5:12
  toured
• 5:12
  each
• 5:12
  other's
• 5:12
  houses.
• 5:13
  But
• 5:13
  like,
• 5:13
  like
• 5:14
  you,
• 5:14
  like
• 5:14
  you
• 5:15
  referred
• 5:15
  to,
• 5:16
  you
• 5:16
  know,
• 5:16
  a
• 5:16
  lot
• 5:16
  of
• 5:16
  those
• 5:17
  just
• 5:17
  went
• 5:17
  by
• 5:17
  the
• 5:17
  wayside.
• 5:18
  Whether
• 5:19
  it
• 5:19
  was
• 5:19
  just
• 5:19
  lack
• 5:19
  of
• 5:20
  funding,
• 5:20
  lack
• 5:20
  of
• 5:21
  interest
• 5:22
  or
• 5:22
  just
• 5:22
  changing
• 5:23
  priorities.
• 5:23
  Right.
• 5:24
  But
• 5:25
  anyway,
• 5:25
  I
• 5:25
  saw,
• 5:26
  I
• 5:26
  think
• 5:26
  I
• 5:26
  kind
• 5:27
  of
• 5:27
  saw
• 5:27
  the
• 5:27
  bottom
• 5:27
  of
• 5:27
  that
• 5:28
  in
• 5:28
  the
• 5:28
  early
• 5:28
  90s.
• 5:29
  And
• 5:29
  then
• 5:29
  we
• 5:30
  really
• 5:30
  started
• 5:30
  to
• 5:30
  gain
• 5:31
  some
• 5:31
  more
• 5:31
  momentum
• 5:32
  in
• 5:32
  the
• 5:32
  early
• 5:32
  2000s
• 5:33
  and
• 5:33
  they
• 5:33
  all
• 5:33
  of
• 5:34
  a
• 5:34
  sudden
• 5:34
  they
• 5:34
  realized
• 5:35
  that,
• 5:35
  hey,
• 5:35
  you
• 5:36
  know,
• 5:36
  the
• 5:36
  shop,
• 5:36
  the
• 5:37
  shop
• 5:37
  classes
• 5:38
  played
• 5:38
  an
• 5:38
  important
• 5:38
  role.
• 5:39
  And
• 5:40
  then
• 5:40
  there
• 5:40
  was
• 5:40
  some
• 5:40
  data
• 5:40
  that
• 5:41
  came
• 5:41
  out
• 5:41
  that
• 5:41
  showed
• 5:42
  that
• 5:42
  students
• 5:42
  that
• 5:42
  were
• 5:42
  in
• 5:43
  shop
• 5:43
  classes
• 5:44
  had
• 5:44
  a
• 5:44
  higher
• 5:45
  graduation
• 5:45
  rate,
• 5:46
  more
• 5:47
  buy
• 5:47
  in
• 5:47
  in
• 5:47
  high
• 5:48
  school.
• 5:48
  And
• 5:48
  so
• 5:48
  that
• 5:48
  kind
• 5:49
  of
• 5:49
  data
• 5:49
  helped
• 5:49
  us.
• 5:51
  Anyway,
• 5:51
  we
• 5:51
  have
• 5:52
  a
• 5:52
  strong,
• 5:52
  thriving,
• 5:53
  healthy
• 5:53
  wood
• 5:54
  shop
• 5:54
  program.
• 5:54
  And
• 5:56
  the
• 5:56
  pinnacle
• 5:57
  of
• 5:57
  that
• 5:57
  is
• 5:57
  students
• 5:57
  can
• 5:58
  apply
• 5:58
  for
• 5:59
  and
• 5:59
  try
• 5:59
  out
• 6:00
  for
• 6:00
  the
• 6:00
  Viking
• 6:00
  house,
• 6:01
  you
• 6:01
  know,
• 6:01
  we
• 6:01
  have
• 6:01
  a
• 6:01
  whole
• 6:02
  thing
• 6:02
  with
• 6:03
  prerequisites
• 6:04
  and
• 6:04
  tryouts
• 6:04
  and
• 6:05
  an
• 6:06
  application
• 6:06
  process.
• 6:07
  But
• 6:07
  we
• 6:07
  choose
• 6:08
  typically
• 6:08
  our
• 6:08
  best
• 6:08
  16.
• 6:09
  And
• 6:10
  then
• 6:10
  going
• 6:10
  into
• 6:10
  the
• 6:11
  next
• 6:11
  school
• 6:11
  year,
• 6:11
  they're
• 6:12
  our
• 6:12
  crew
• 6:13
  and
• 6:15
  we
• 6:15
  are,
• 6:16
  we
• 6:16
  do
• 6:16
  all
• 6:16
  the
• 6:17
  carpentry
• 6:17
  on
• 6:18
  the
• 6:18
  job
• 6:18
  site.
• 6:18
  We
• 6:19
  have
• 6:19
  a
• 6:19
  day
• 6:20
  of
• 6:20
  orientation,
• 6:21
  first
• 6:21
  day
• 6:22
  of
• 6:22
  school,
• 6:22
  and
• 6:22
  then
• 6:22
  second
• 6:23
  day
• 6:23
  of
• 6:23
  class
• 6:23
  we're
• 6:24
  out
• 6:24
  framing
• 6:24
  the
• 6:24
  floor
• 6:25
  system.
• 6:26
  But
• 6:26
  we,
• 6:27
  you
• 6:27
  know,
• 6:27
  we
• 6:27
  teach
• 6:28
  carpentry
• 6:28
  in
• 6:28
  the
• 6:28
  shop.
• 6:29
  So
• 6:29
  that's
• 6:29
  what
• 6:29
  we
• 6:29
  do
• 6:30
  on
• 6:30
  the
• 6:30
  site.
• 6:30
  So
• 6:31
  we
• 6:31
  obviously
• 6:32
  we
• 6:32
  frame
• 6:32
  it
• 6:33
  side
• 6:33
  it,
• 6:33
  set
• 6:34
  all
• 6:34
  the
• 6:34
  windows
• 6:34
  and
• 6:35
  doors.
• 6:35
  We
• 6:36
  do
• 6:36
  extensive
• 6:36
  hardwood
• 6:37
  flooring.
• 6:38
  We
• 6:38
  have
• 6:38
  our
• 6:38
  own
• 6:39
  cabinet
• 6:39
  shop
• 6:39
  here.
• 6:39
  We
• 6:40
  produce
• 6:40
  our
• 6:40
  own
• 6:40
  cabinets.
• 6:41
  You've
• 6:41
  seen
• 6:41
  those
• 6:42
  beautiful,
• 6:42
  you
• 6:43
  know,
• 6:43
  those
• 6:43
  are
• 6:43
  at
• 6:43
  a
• 6:43
  high
• 6:43
  level
• 6:45
  and
• 6:45
  doors
• 6:46
  and
• 6:46
  trim.
• 6:47
  I
• 6:47
  get
• 6:47
  a
• 6:47
  lot
• 6:48
  of
• 6:48
  help,
• 6:48
  I
• 6:48
  get
• 6:48
  a
• 6:48
  lot
• 6:49
  of
• 6:49
  industry
• 6:50
  experts
• 6:51
  that
• 6:51
  reach
• 6:51
  out
• 6:51
  to
• 6:51
  us,
• 6:52
  that
• 6:52
  want
• 6:52
  to
• 6:52
  help
• 6:52
  us.
• 6:53
  Not
• 6:53
  just
• 6:54
  our
• 6:54
  Nolfos,
• 6:55
  the
• 6:55
  master
• 6:56
  cabinet
• 6:56
  maker,
• 6:56
  but
• 6:57
  a
• 6:58
  local
• 6:58
  contractor
• 6:59
  named
• 6:59
  Curtis
• 6:59
  Ludwig,
• 7:00
  who's
• 7:01
  finished
• 7:02
  carpenter
• 7:02
  by
• 7:02
  trade,
• 7:03
  helps
• 7:04
  mentor
• 7:04
  our
• 7:04
  kids
• 7:05
  on
• 7:05
  that.
• 7:06
  And
• 7:06
  then
• 7:06
  we
• 7:07
  have
• 7:07
  some
• 7:07
  high
• 7:07
  level
• 7:08
  framers
• 7:08
  in
• 7:09
  the
• 7:09
  region
• 7:10
  that
• 7:10
  come
• 7:11
  out
• 7:11
  to
• 7:11
  help
• 7:11
  us
• 7:11
  do
• 7:11
  the
• 7:12
  most
• 7:12
  dangerous
• 7:12
  part,
• 7:12
  which
• 7:12
  is
• 7:13
  setting
• 7:13
  trusses.
• 7:14
  But
• 7:14
  it's
• 7:15
  cool
• 7:15
  to
• 7:15
  have
• 7:15
  kids
• 7:15
  around
• 7:16
  those,
• 7:17
  those
• 7:17
  high
• 7:18
  level
• 7:18
  pros
• 7:18
  for
• 7:19
  a
• 7:19
  day.
• 7:20
  One
• 7:20
  thing
• 7:21
  I
• 7:21
  would
• 7:21
  note,
• 7:22
  you
• 7:22
  didn't
• 7:22
  ask
• 7:22
  me,
• 7:22
  but
• 7:23
  I'm
• 7:23
  going
• 7:23
  to
• 7:23
  tell
• 7:23
  you
• 7:24
  one
• 7:24
  thing.
• 7:24
  One
• 7:25
  thing
• 7:25
  I'm
• 7:25
  really
• 7:25
  proud
• 7:26
  of,
• 7:26
  especially
• 7:27
  on
• 7:27
  this
• 7:27
  year's
• 7:27
  house.
• 7:29
  Every
• 7:29
  house
• 7:29
  that
• 7:29
  I've
• 7:30
  been
• 7:30
  involved
• 7:30
  in,
• 7:31
  I've
• 7:31
  done
• 7:31
  every
• 7:31
  viking
• 7:32
  house
• 7:32
  since
• 7:32
  99.
• 7:33
  And
• 7:34
  one
• 7:34
  of
• 7:34
  my
• 7:34
  interests
• 7:35
  is
• 7:35
  home
• 7:36
  design.
• 7:36
  So
• 7:37
  I've
• 7:37
  kind
• 7:37
  of
• 7:37
  kept
• 7:38
  that
• 7:38
  to
• 7:38
  myself
• 7:38
  and
• 7:39
  designed
• 7:39
  them
• 7:39
  all.
• 7:41
  But
• 7:41
  this
• 7:41
  year
• 7:42
  this
• 7:42
  one
• 7:42
  was
• 7:43
  designed
• 7:43
  by
• 7:43
  a
• 7:43
  former
• 7:44
  student.
• 7:44
  So
• 7:45
  she
• 7:45
  just
• 7:45
  graduated
• 7:47
  from
• 7:47
  Portland
• 7:47
  State
• 7:48
  and
• 7:48
  had
• 7:48
  has
• 7:48
  a
• 7:49
  degree
• 7:49
  in
• 7:49
  architecture.
• 7:50
  And
• 7:50
  I
• 7:51
  handed
• 7:51
  it
• 7:51
  off
• 7:51
  to
• 7:51
  her
• 7:52
  and
• 7:52
  she
• 7:52
  did
• 7:52
  an
• 7:52
  amazing
• 7:53
  job.
• 7:54
  In
• 7:54
  fact,
• 7:54
  many
• 7:54
  people
• 7:55
  told
• 7:55
  me
• 7:55
  it
• 7:55
  was
• 7:55
  the
• 7:55
  best
• 7:56
  house
• 7:56
  I
• 7:56
  designed.
• 7:59
  I
• 7:59
  love
• 8:00
  that.
• 8:00
  But
• 8:00
  I'm
• 8:02
  really
• 8:02
  proud
• 8:02
  of
• 8:03
  what
• 8:03
  Cecilia
• 8:04
  did.
• 8:05
  And
• 8:06
  then
• 8:06
  another
• 8:06
  former
• 8:06
  student,
• 8:08
  Jasmine
• 8:08
  Flores,
• 8:09
  helped
• 8:09
  with
• 8:09
  the
• 8:09
  interior
• 8:10
  design.
• 8:11
  And
• 8:12
  then
• 8:12
  a
• 8:12
  former
• 8:12
  student,
• 8:13
  Kyle
• 8:13
  Ludwig
• 8:14
  is
• 8:14
  our
• 8:14
  excavator.
• 8:15
  Also
• 8:16
  had
• 8:16
  to
• 8:16
  build
• 8:16
  some
• 8:16
  big
• 8:17
  boulder
• 8:17
  walls
• 8:17
  because
• 8:18
  we
• 8:18
  had
• 8:18
  some
• 8:18
  terrain
• 8:19
  challenges.
• 8:20
  Are
• 8:22
  my
• 8:22
  plumber,
• 8:23
  Jake
• 8:24
  Strother,
• 8:25
  another
• 8:25
  former
• 8:26
  student,
• 8:26
  him
• 8:27
  and
• 8:27
  Jeremy
• 8:27
  Sullivan,
• 8:28
  both
• 8:28
  former
• 8:29
  students.
• 8:29
  And
• 8:29
  then
• 8:29
  our
• 8:30
  electrician,
• 8:31
  Weston
• 8:32
  Dyke,
• 8:33
  wired
• 8:33
  the
• 8:33
  house.
• 8:34
  And
• 8:34
  then
• 8:34
  we
• 8:35
  also
• 8:35
  have,
• 8:35
  like
• 8:35
  I
• 8:36
  mentioned,
• 8:36
  some
• 8:36
  framers
• 8:37
  that
• 8:37
  come
• 8:37
  out
• 8:37
  and
• 8:37
  help
• 8:38
  us
• 8:38
  set
• 8:39
  trusses.
• 8:39
  And
• 8:40
  there's
• 8:40
  at
• 8:40
  least
• 8:41
  three
• 8:41
  of
• 8:41
  them,
• 8:42
  four
• 8:43
  of
• 8:43
  them
• 8:43
  actually,
• 8:43
  they're
• 8:44
  former
• 8:44
  students.
• 8:44
  And
• 8:45
  one
• 8:45
  of
• 8:45
  them
• 8:45
  is
• 8:45
  actually
• 8:45
  a
• 8:46
  father
• 8:46
  son
• 8:46
  tandem
• 8:47
  that
• 8:47
  both
• 8:47
  Were
• 8:47
  in
• 8:47
  the
• 8:48
  Viking.
• 8:48
  How
• 8:48
  cool
• 8:49
  is
• 8:49
  that?
• 8:49
  You
• 8:49
  know,
• 8:49
  you
• 8:49
  span
• 8:50
  50
• 8:50
  years,
• 8:50
  that's
• 8:51
  bound
• 8:51
  to
• 8:51
  happen.
• 8:51
  Yeah,
• 8:52
  absolutely.
• 8:53
  But
• 8:53
  that's
• 8:53
  awesome.
• 8:54
  Talk
• 8:54
  about
• 8:54
  a
• 8:55
  legacy.
• 8:55
  And
• 8:56
  what
• 8:56
  I
• 8:56
  love
• 8:56
  about
• 8:56
  your
• 8:57
  program
• 8:57
  too
• 8:57
  is
• 8:57
  it's
• 8:58
  pretty
• 8:58
  self
• 8:58
  sustainable
• 8:59
  as
• 8:59
  well.
• 8:59
  By
• 8:59
  the
• 8:59
  time
• 8:59
  you
• 9:00
  sell
• 9:00
  the
• 9:00
  house
• 9:00
  and,
• 9:01
  and
• 9:01
  get
• 9:01
  that
• 9:01
  going.
• 9:02
  Oh,
• 9:02
  completely.
• 9:03
  It's
• 9:03
  not
• 9:03
  a
• 9:03
  cost
• 9:04
  to
• 9:05
  do
• 9:05
  this
• 9:05
  really.
• 9:05
  It's
• 9:06
  just
• 9:06
  a,
• 9:06
  it's
• 9:06
  just
• 9:06
  a
• 9:06
  perpetual
• 9:07
  motion
• 9:07
  machine.
• 9:08
  Yeah,
• 9:09
  that's
• 9:09
  an
• 9:10
  important
• 9:10
  point
• 9:10
  to
• 9:10
  make.
• 9:11
  I
• 9:11
  mean,
• 9:12
  I
• 9:13
  get
• 9:13
  paid
• 9:13
  as
• 9:13
  a
• 9:13
  teacher,
• 9:14
  but
• 9:14
  other
• 9:14
  than
• 9:14
  that
• 9:15
  building,
• 9:15
  the
• 9:15
  house
• 9:16
  is
• 9:16
  completely
• 9:16
  self
• 9:17
  funded.
• 9:18
  Wow.
• 9:18
  And
• 9:18
  it
• 9:18
  should
• 9:19
  be,
• 9:19
  you
• 9:19
  know,
• 9:19
  after
• 9:19
  50
• 9:20
  years.
• 9:20
  Yeah.
• 9:21
  Part
• 9:21
  of
• 9:22
  that's
• 9:22
  been
• 9:22
  district
• 9:23
  support.
• 9:23
  You
• 9:23
  know,
• 9:23
  we've
• 9:24
  always
• 9:24
  had
• 9:24
  good
• 9:24
  business
• 9:25
  managers
• 9:25
  looking
• 9:26
  out
• 9:26
  for
• 9:26
  us
• 9:26
  and
• 9:26
  they
• 9:27
  keep
• 9:27
  our
• 9:27
  funds
• 9:27
  separate.
• 9:28
  Nice.
• 9:29
  And
• 9:30
  you
• 9:30
  know,
• 9:30
  that's
• 9:30
  what
• 9:30
  allowed
• 9:31
  us
• 9:31
  to
• 9:31
  survive
• 9:32
  the
• 9:32
  economic
• 9:32
  downturn,
• 9:33
  you
• 9:34
  know,
• 9:34
  in
• 9:34
  the
• 9:34
  early
• 9:35
  in
• 9:35
  the
• 9:36
  209.
• 9:37
  And
• 9:37
  they
• 9:37
  happen
• 9:37
  about
• 9:38
  every
• 9:38
  decade.
• 9:39
  They
• 9:39
  happen
• 9:39
  about
• 9:39
  every
• 9:40
  decade.
• 9:40
  There's
• 9:40
  a
• 9:41
  little
• 9:41
  bit
• 9:41
  of
• 9:41
  crash
• 9:41
  where
• 9:41
  you
• 9:42
  go,
• 9:42
  oh,
• 9:43
  here
• 9:43
  we
• 9:43
  go.
• 9:44
  We're
• 9:44
  on
• 9:45
  schedule,
• 9:45
  you
• 9:46
  know.
• 9:46
  Well,
• 9:47
  and
• 9:47
  that's
• 9:48
  a
• 9:48
  lesson
• 9:48
  in
• 9:48
  itself.
• 9:49
  You
• 9:49
  know,
• 9:49
  it's
• 9:51
  when
• 9:51
  I
• 9:51
  say
• 9:51
  that
• 9:52
  we
• 9:52
  have
• 9:52
  tryouts
• 9:52
  and
• 9:52
  we
• 9:53
  pick
• 9:53
  a
• 9:53
  crew,
• 9:53
  I
• 9:54
  mean,
• 9:54
  we're
• 9:54
  no
• 9:54
  different
• 9:55
  than
• 9:55
  any
• 9:55
  contractor.
• 9:56
  We're
• 9:56
  trying
• 9:56
  to
• 9:56
  hire
• 9:57
  the
• 9:57
  best
• 9:57
  people
• 9:57
  we
• 9:58
  can
• 9:58
  or
• 9:58
  in
• 9:58
  this
• 9:59
  case,
• 10:01
  recruit
• 10:01
  the
• 10:01
  best
• 10:01
  students
• 10:02
  we
• 10:02
  can.
• 10:03
  The
• 10:03
  same
• 10:03
  ones
• 10:03
  everyone
• 10:03
  wants
• 10:04
  to
• 10:04
  hire.
• 10:04
  But
• 10:05
  you
• 10:05
  know,
• 10:05
  they're
• 10:05
  all
• 10:05
  reliable.
• 10:06
  They're
• 10:06
  all,
• 10:07
  they've
• 10:07
  got
• 10:07
  a
• 10:07
  certain
• 10:08
  level
• 10:08
  of
• 10:08
  skill,
• 10:09
  they're
• 10:10
  energetic,
• 10:10
  they're
• 10:11
  good
• 10:11
  problem
• 10:11
  solvers.
• 10:12
  And
• 10:13
  it's
• 10:13
  just
• 10:13
  kind
• 10:13
  of
• 10:13
  up
• 10:14
  to
• 10:14
  us
• 10:14
  to
• 10:14
  show
• 10:14
  them
• 10:14
  what
• 10:14
  to
• 10:15
  do.
• 10:15
  To
• 10:15
  find
• 10:15
  out
• 10:16
  more
• 10:16
  information,
• 10:16
  head
• 10:17
  to
• 10:17
  aroundthehouseonline.com.
• 10:19
  don't
• 10:19
  change
• 10:20
  that
• 10:20
  dial.
• 10:20
  Around
• 10:21
  the
• 10:21
  House
• 10:21
  will
• 10:21
  be
• 10:22
  right
• 10:22
  back
• 10:22
  after
• 10:22
  these
• 10:23
  important
• 10:23
  messages.
• 10:25
  Should
• 10:26
  I
• 10:27
  be
• 10:28
  allowed
• 10:29
  to
• 10:29
  be
• 10:29
  so.
• 10:30
  Hot.
• 10:34
  So
• 10:36
  many
• 10:36
  people
• 10:37
  without.
• 12:06
  Welcome
• 12:06
  back
• 12:06
  to
• 12:06
  the
• 12:06
  around
• 12:07
  the
• 12:07

• 12:07
  The
• 12:07
  next
• 12:08
  generation
• 12:08
  of
• 12:08

• 12:09
  improvement.
• 12:09
  I'm
• 12:09
  Eric
• 12:10
  G.
• 12:10
  Thanks
• 12:10
  for
• 12:10
  joining
• 12:11
  me
• 12:11
  today.
• 12:11
  If
• 12:12
  you
• 12:12
  want
• 12:12
  to
• 12:12
  find
• 12:12
  out
• 12:12
  more
• 12:12
  about
• 12:13
  us,
• 12:13
  head
• 12:13
  over
• 12:13
  to
• 12:13
  aroundthehouseonline.com
• 12:15
  Eric.
• 12:16
  And
• 12:16
  this
• 12:16
  hour
• 12:16
  is
• 12:17
  brought
• 12:17
  to
• 12:17
  you
• 12:17
  by
• 12:17
  our
• 12:17
  friends
• 12:17
  at
• 12:18
  Monty
• 12:18
  McGrills.
• 12:18
  Check
• 12:19
  them
• 12:19
  out
• 12:19
  at
• 12:19
  monumcrills.com
• 12:21
  now
• 12:21
  we've
• 12:21
  been
• 12:21
  talking
• 12:21
  about
• 12:22
  one
• 12:22
  of
• 12:22
  the
• 12:22
  best
• 12:23
  programs
• 12:23
  in
• 12:24
  the
• 12:24
  country
• 12:25
  for
• 12:25
  getting
• 12:25
  kids
• 12:26
  into
• 12:26
  the
• 12:26
  trades
• 12:27
  and
• 12:27
  creating
• 12:28
  them
• 12:28
  into
• 12:28
  the
• 12:29
  world
• 12:29
  of
• 12:29
  construction
• 12:30
  and
• 12:30
  getting
• 12:31
  them
• 12:31
  going.
• 12:31
  So
• 12:31
  let's
• 12:32
  get
• 12:32
  back
• 12:32
  to
• 12:32
  our
• 12:32
  conversation
• 12:33
  with
• 12:33
  Chris
• 12:34
  Higginbotham
• 12:35
  and
• 12:35
  the
• 12:35
  Viking
• 12:36
  House
• 12:37
  from
• 12:37
  Forest
• 12:37
  Grove,
• 12:38
  Oregon.
• 12:39
  Well,
• 12:39
  Chris,
• 12:39
  I
• 12:39
  think
• 12:39
  the
• 12:39
  cool
• 12:40
  thing
• 12:40
  too
• 12:40
  is
• 12:40
  that
• 12:41
  that
• 12:41
  because
• 12:41
  they've
• 12:42
  had
• 12:42
  to
• 12:42
  invest
• 12:43
  time
• 12:43
  and
• 12:44
  energy
• 12:44
  into
• 12:45
  trying
• 12:45
  out
• 12:45
  and
• 12:46
  being
• 12:46
  a
• 12:46
  part
• 12:46
  of
• 12:46
  it.
• 12:47
  It's
• 12:47
  like
• 12:47
  being
• 12:48
  on
• 12:48
  the
• 12:48
  varsity
• 12:48
  football
• 12:49
  team.
• 12:49
  They're
• 12:49
  like,
• 12:49
  hey,
• 12:49
  I
• 12:50
  got
• 12:50
  here.
• 12:50
  It
• 12:50
  wasn't
• 12:50
  easy.
• 12:51
  So
• 12:51
  I
• 12:51
  have
• 12:52
  to
• 12:52
  be
• 12:52
  there
• 12:53
  this
• 12:53
  morning
• 12:54
  when
• 12:54
  I
• 12:54
  really
• 12:54
  don't
• 12:55
  want
• 12:55
  to
• 12:55
  get
• 12:55
  up
• 12:55
  or
• 12:56
  I
• 12:56
  was
• 12:56
  out
• 12:57
  late
• 12:57
  with
• 12:57
  my
• 12:57
  friends
• 12:57
  last
• 12:58
  night
• 12:58
  and
• 12:59
  I
• 12:59
  got
• 12:59
  to
• 12:59
  get
• 13:00
  to
• 13:00
  work.
• 13:00
  And
• 13:01
  that
• 13:01
  creates
• 13:02
  a
• 13:02
  work
• 13:02
  ethic
• 13:03
  that
• 13:03
  really
• 13:03
  sets
• 13:04
  them
• 13:04
  straight
• 13:05
  for
• 13:05
  the
• 13:05
  profession.
• 13:06
  Absolutely.
• 13:07
  I
• 13:07
  mean,
• 13:09
  we
• 13:09
  talk
• 13:09
  about
• 13:10
  that
• 13:10
  all
• 13:10
  the
• 13:10
  time,
• 13:11
  that,
• 13:12
  you
• 13:12
  know,
• 13:12
  it
• 13:13
  takes
• 13:13
  extra
• 13:13
  effort
• 13:14
  to
• 13:14
  get
• 13:14
  these
• 13:14
  houses
• 13:15
  built,
• 13:15
  even
• 13:15
  though.
• 13:16
  So
• 13:16
  it's
• 13:16
  a
• 13:17
  regular
• 13:17
  class,
• 13:17
  it's
• 13:18
  a
• 13:18
  double
• 13:18
  block.
• 13:18
  So
• 13:19
  essentially,
• 13:19
  we're
• 13:20
  meeting
• 13:20
  for
• 13:20
  three
• 13:20
  hours
• 13:21
  as
• 13:21
  a
• 13:21
  class
• 13:22
  every
• 13:22
  other
• 13:23
  school
• 13:23
  day
• 13:24
  for
• 13:24
  the
• 13:24
  course
• 13:24
  of
• 13:25
  the
• 13:25
  year,
• 13:26
  but
• 13:27
  that's
• 13:28
  not
• 13:28
  quite
• 13:28
  enough
• 13:28
  time.
• 13:29
  So
• 13:30
  we
• 13:30
  work.
• 13:31
  I'll
• 13:31
  host
• 13:32
  what
• 13:32
  we
• 13:32
  call
• 13:32
  work
• 13:32
  parties
• 13:33
  every
• 13:34
  most
• 13:35
  Saturdays,
• 13:36
  over
• 13:36
  half
• 13:36
  of
• 13:36
  them.
• 13:37
  And
• 13:37
  they'll
• 13:37
  come
• 13:37
  in
• 13:38
  as
• 13:38
  completely
• 13:39
  voluntary.
• 13:40
  But
• 13:42
  on
• 13:43
  any
• 13:43
  given
• 13:43
  Saturday,
• 13:44
  I'll
• 13:44
  have
• 13:44
  probably
• 13:45
  half.
• 13:45
  Half
• 13:45
  the
• 13:46
  students
• 13:46
  will
• 13:46
  be
• 13:46
  there.
• 13:47
  Nice.
• 13:47
  And
• 13:47
  I
• 13:47
  assume
• 13:48
  it's
• 13:48
  everyone
• 13:48
  that
• 13:49
  can.
• 13:49
  Because
• 13:49
  we.
• 13:50
  We
• 13:50
  get
• 13:50
  a
• 13:50
  lot
• 13:50
  of
• 13:50
  kids
• 13:51
  that
• 13:51
  are
• 13:51
  getting
• 13:51
  pulled
• 13:51
  in
• 13:52
  many
• 13:52
  directions.
• 13:52
  You
• 13:53
  know,
• 13:53
  they're
• 13:54
  A
• 13:54
  lot
• 13:54
  of
• 13:54
  them
• 13:54
  are
• 13:55
  high
• 13:55
  achievers,
• 13:56
  whether
• 13:56
  it's
• 13:56
  academics
• 13:57
  or
• 13:57
  athletics
• 13:58
  or.
• 13:58
  Some
• 13:58
  of
• 13:59
  them
• 13:59
  are
• 13:59
  working
• 14:00
  jobs.
• 14:00
  Yeah,
• 14:01
  they're
• 14:01
  working
• 14:01
  at
• 14:01
  the
• 14:01
  burger
• 14:01
  joint
• 14:02
  or
• 14:02
  whatever.
• 14:02
  So
• 14:02
  that's
• 14:03
  their
• 14:03
  money
• 14:03
  day.
• 14:03
  So
• 14:04
  I
• 14:04
  get
• 14:04
  it.
• 14:05
  Yeah.
• 14:05
  But,
• 14:07
  yeah,
• 14:08
  I
• 14:08
  mean,
• 14:08
  that's
• 14:08
  how
• 14:08
  we're
• 14:09
  successful.
• 14:09
  And
• 14:10
  that's
• 14:10
  one
• 14:10
  of
• 14:10
  the
• 14:10
  things,
• 14:11
  I
• 14:12
  think
• 14:12
  one
• 14:12
  of
• 14:12
  the
• 14:12
  big
• 14:12
  lessons
• 14:13
  that
• 14:13
  Arnolfo
• 14:13
  and
• 14:13
  I
• 14:14
  talk
• 14:14
  about
• 14:14
  is,
• 14:15
  and
• 14:15
  try
• 14:16
  to
• 14:16
  model
• 14:16
  is
• 14:17
  you
• 14:17
  do
• 14:17
  whatever
• 14:17
  it
• 14:17
  takes.
• 14:18
  You
• 14:19
  do
• 14:19
  whatever
• 14:19
  it
• 14:19
  takes
• 14:19
  to
• 14:20
  get
• 14:20
  the
• 14:20
  job
• 14:20
  done.
• 14:21
  And
• 14:21
  if
• 14:21
  it's
• 14:21
  not
• 14:21
  right,
• 14:22
  you
• 14:22
  do
• 14:22
  it
• 14:22
  over.
• 14:23
  And,
• 14:24
  you
• 14:24
  know,
• 14:24
  we
• 14:24
  set
• 14:24
  a
• 14:25
  standard
• 14:25
  and
• 14:25
  the
• 14:25
  standards
• 14:26
  pretty
• 14:26
  high.
• 14:27
  And,
• 14:28
  you
• 14:29
  know,
• 14:30
  it
• 14:30
  sounds
• 14:30
  a
• 14:30
  little
• 14:30
  harsh
• 14:31
  by
• 14:31
  today's
• 14:31
  standards,
• 14:32
  but
• 14:32
  I've
• 14:32
  always
• 14:32
  said
• 14:33
  that,
• 14:33
  you
• 14:33
  know,
• 14:34
  we
• 14:34
  build
• 14:34
  these
• 14:34
  houses
• 14:35
  without
• 14:35
  excuses.
• 14:36
  Nice.
• 14:37
  You
• 14:37
  know,
• 14:37
  either
• 14:38
  do
• 14:38
  it
• 14:38
  or
• 14:38
  don't
• 14:38
  do
• 14:38
  it.
• 14:39
  And
• 14:40
  anyway,
• 14:40
  well,
• 14:41
  I
• 14:41
  love
• 14:41
  the
• 14:41
  quality.
• 14:41
  Of
• 14:42
  construction
• 14:42
  you
• 14:42
  teach
• 14:43
  out
• 14:43
  there,
• 14:43
  because
• 14:44
  I
• 14:44
  don't
• 14:44
  like
• 14:44
  talking
• 14:45
  bad
• 14:45
  about
• 14:45
  builders
• 14:46
  out
• 14:46
  there.
• 14:46
  But
• 14:46
  there's
• 14:46
  some
• 14:46
  of
• 14:47
  these
• 14:47
  guys
• 14:47
  out
• 14:47
  there,
• 14:47
  at
• 14:48
  least
• 14:48
  in
• 14:48
  my
• 14:48
  area,
• 14:48
  over
• 14:49
  here
• 14:49
  in
• 14:49
  the
• 14:49
  metro
• 14:49
  area,
• 14:50
  that
• 14:50
  I'm
• 14:51
  driving
• 14:51
  by,
• 14:51
  watching
• 14:52
  their
• 14:52
  houses
• 14:52
  get
• 14:53
  built.
• 14:53
  And
• 14:53
  these
• 14:53
  are
• 14:53
  one
• 14:54
  to
• 14:54
  $5
• 14:54
  million
• 14:55
  homes.
• 14:56
  And
• 14:56
  I
• 14:56
  drive
• 14:56
  by
• 14:57
  and
• 14:57
  go,
• 14:58
  wow,
• 14:58
  you
• 14:58
  missed
• 14:58
  flashing
• 14:59
  day.
• 15:00
  Wow,
• 15:00
  you
• 15:00
  missed
• 15:01
  house
• 15:01
  wrap
• 15:02
  day.
• 15:03
  You
• 15:03
  know
• 15:03
  what
• 15:03
  I
• 15:03
  mean?
• 15:04
  And
• 15:04
  it's
• 15:04
  just.
• 15:04
  I
• 15:05
  shake
• 15:05
  my
• 15:05
  head
• 15:05
  and
• 15:05
  then
• 15:06
  I
• 15:06
  know
• 15:06
  every
• 15:07
  time
• 15:07
  I've
• 15:07
  been
• 15:07
  over
• 15:07
  and
• 15:08
  seen
• 15:08
  one
• 15:08
  of
• 15:08
  your
• 15:08
  houses,
• 15:09
  it's
• 15:09
  just
• 15:10
  the
• 15:10
  drywall's
• 15:11
  right.
• 15:11
  The
• 15:11
  cabinetry
• 15:12
  is
• 15:12
  gorgeous.
• 15:13
  You
• 15:13
  know,
• 15:13
  you're,
• 15:14
  you're
• 15:14
  buying
• 15:14
  a,
• 15:16
  a
• 15:16
  livable
• 15:17
  family
• 15:18
  house
• 15:18
  with
• 15:19
  a
• 15:19
  higher
• 15:19
  quality
• 15:20
  of
• 15:20
  many
• 15:20
  of
• 15:20
  the
• 15:20
  luxury
• 15:21
  mansions
• 15:21
  around
• 15:21
  this
• 15:22
  area.
• 15:22
  That's
• 15:23
  exactly
• 15:24
  what
• 15:24
  we're
• 15:24
  shooting
• 15:24
  for.
• 15:25
  We
• 15:25
  built
• 15:25
  a
• 15:25
  high
• 15:25
  end
• 15:26
  one
• 15:26
  level
• 15:27
  try
• 15:27
  to
• 15:27
  make
• 15:27
  it
• 15:28
  somewhat
• 15:28
  affordable
• 15:29
  home.
• 15:29
  But
• 15:29
  it's
• 15:29
  definitely
• 15:30
  like
• 15:30
  a
• 15:30
  move
• 15:30
  up
• 15:30
  buyer.
• 15:32
  So
• 15:32
  this
• 15:33
  year's
• 15:33
  house
• 15:33
  for
• 15:33
  instance,
• 15:34
  about
• 15:34
  1800ft.
• 15:35
  In
• 15:35
  fact
• 15:36
  it
• 15:36
  just
• 15:36
  got
• 15:36
  listed
• 15:37
  on
• 15:37
  Zillow.
• 15:38
  But
• 15:38
  it's
• 15:38
  beautiful.
• 15:39
  I
• 15:39
  mean
• 15:39
  everything
• 15:40
  in
• 15:40
  the
• 15:40
  house
• 15:40
  is
• 15:40
  an
• 15:40
  upgrade.
• 15:41
  Some
• 15:42
  of
• 15:42
  it
• 15:42
  you
• 15:42
  can
• 15:42
  see,
• 15:43
  you
• 15:43
  know,
• 15:43
  like
• 15:43
  the
• 15:44
  walnut
• 15:45
  inset
• 15:45
  cabinets
• 15:46
  with
• 15:46
  dovetail
• 15:47
  drawers
• 15:48
  to
• 15:48
  the
• 15:49
  traditional
• 15:51
  number
• 15:51
  one
• 15:51
  white
• 15:51
  oak
• 15:52
  tongue
• 15:52
  and
• 15:52
  groove
• 15:52
  floors
• 15:53
  that
• 15:53
  are
• 15:53
  finished
• 15:53
  in
• 15:54
  place.
• 15:54
  That's
• 15:55
  old
• 15:55
  school.
• 15:55
  It
• 15:55
  is.
• 15:56
  But
• 15:56
  then
• 15:56
  there's
• 15:56
  also
• 15:57
  stuff
• 15:57
  that
• 15:57
  you
• 15:57
  can't
• 15:58
  see,
• 15:58
  like
• 15:59
  all
• 15:59
  CDX,
• 16:00
  plywood
• 16:00
  sheeting,
• 16:01
  58
• 16:03
  seating
• 16:04
  on
• 16:04
  the
• 16:04
  roof.
• 16:04
  Wow.
• 16:05
  All
• 16:05
  clipped.
• 16:06
  You
• 16:06
  want
• 16:06
  to
• 16:06
  builders
• 16:07
  stuff
• 16:08
  that
• 16:08
  a
• 16:08
  builder
• 16:08
  would
• 16:08
  appreciate.
• 16:09
  Right.
• 16:10
  By
• 16:11
  the
• 16:11
  way,
• 16:11
  the
• 16:11
  million
• 16:12
  dollar,
• 16:12
  the
• 16:12
  four
• 16:13
  million
• 16:13
  dollar
• 16:13
  house
• 16:14
  they're
• 16:14
  building
• 16:14
  down
• 16:14
  the
• 16:14
  street
• 16:15
  has
• 16:15
  got
• 16:15
  716
• 16:16
  OSB,
• 16:17
  no
• 16:17
  clips.
• 16:18
  Yeah,
• 16:19
  well,
• 16:19
  you
• 16:19
  know
• 16:19
  what
• 16:20
  I
• 16:20
  mean,
• 16:20
  that's.
• 16:21
  That
• 16:21
  can
• 16:21
  be
• 16:21
  a
• 16:21
  little
• 16:21
  scary
• 16:22
  when
• 16:22
  you're
• 16:22
  walking
• 16:22
  on
• 16:22
  the.
• 16:23
  Yes,
• 16:23
  it
• 16:23
  is.
• 16:24
  It
• 16:24
  is
• 16:24
  not
• 16:24
  my
• 16:24
  favorite.
• 16:25
  But
• 16:26
  those,
• 16:26
  those
• 16:26
  are
• 16:26
  the
• 16:26
  things
• 16:27
  that,
• 16:27
  you
• 16:27
  know,
• 16:27
  a
• 16:27
  buyer
• 16:28
  never
• 16:28
  really
• 16:28
  knows
• 16:29
  about.
• 16:30
  And
• 16:30
  then
• 16:30
  I
• 16:31
  don't
• 16:31
  know
• 16:31
  if
• 16:31
  you
• 16:31
  recall
• 16:32
  the
• 16:32
  last
• 16:32
  time
• 16:32
  you
• 16:32
  visited
• 16:33
  us,
• 16:33
  but
• 16:33
  one
• 16:33
  of
• 16:33
  the
• 16:33
  things
• 16:34
  we've
• 16:34
  been
• 16:34
  doing
• 16:35
  since
• 16:35
  2011
• 16:37
  is
• 16:37
  we
• 16:37
  do
• 16:38
  a
• 16:38
  hybrid
• 16:39
  staggered
• 16:39
  stud
• 16:40
  wall.
• 16:40
  So
• 16:40
  all
• 16:40
  our
• 16:40
  exterior
• 16:41
  walls
• 16:41
  are
• 16:41
  two
• 16:42
  by
• 16:42
  eight
• 16:42
  and
• 16:43
  then
• 16:43
  we
• 16:43
  do
• 16:43
  a
• 16:43
  staggered
• 16:44
  two
• 16:44
  by
• 16:44
  four
• 16:44
  and
• 16:45
  we
• 16:45
  get
• 16:45
  they,
• 16:46
  they
• 16:46
  blow
• 16:46
  in
• 16:47
  about
• 16:47
  an
• 16:47
  R31
• 16:48
  into
• 16:48
  the
• 16:48
  wall
• 16:48
  cavity.
• 16:49
  Yeah.
• 16:50
  So
• 16:50
  it's
• 16:50
  nice.
• 16:50
  I
• 16:51
  mean
• 16:51
  you
• 16:51
  get
• 16:51
  the
• 16:51
  thermal
• 16:52
  efficiency
• 16:52
  and
• 16:52
  then
• 16:53
  you
• 16:53
  also
• 16:53
  get
• 16:54
  a
• 16:54
  little
• 16:54
  bit
• 16:54
  of
• 16:54
  sound
• 16:55
  deadening.
• 16:55
  A
• 16:56
  lot
• 16:56
  of
• 16:56
  it
• 16:56
  actually
• 16:56
  with
• 16:57
  that
• 16:57
  size
• 16:57
  of
• 16:57
  wall
• 16:57
  that
• 16:58
  really
• 16:58
  makes
• 16:58
  a
• 16:58
  difference
• 16:59
  and,
• 17:00
  and
• 17:00
  that
• 17:00
  pays
• 17:00
  for
• 17:00
  itself
• 17:01
  pretty
• 17:01
  quickly
• 17:01
  with
• 17:02
  that
• 17:02
  kind
• 17:02
  of
• 17:02
  construction.
• 17:03
  So
• 17:03
  it's
• 17:03
  nice
• 17:03
  that
• 17:03
  you
• 17:03
  guys
• 17:04
  can
• 17:04
  do
• 17:04
  that.
• 17:05
  Yeah.
• 17:05
  If
• 17:05
  you
• 17:05
  combine
• 17:06
  that
• 17:06
  with
• 17:06
  ducts
• 17:06
  inside
• 17:08
  and
• 17:08
  you
• 17:08
  know,
• 17:08
  in
• 17:09
  some
• 17:09
  of
• 17:09
  these
• 17:09
  super
• 17:09
  high
• 17:10
  efficiency
• 17:10
  heat
• 17:11
  pumps
• 17:11
  that
• 17:11
  are
• 17:11
  coming
• 17:11
  out.
• 17:13
  We've
• 17:13
  been
• 17:13
  in
• 17:13
  my
• 17:14
  H
• 17:14
  Vac,
• 17:15
  contractor's
• 17:15
  been
• 17:17
  using
• 17:17
  those
• 17:17
  recently
• 17:18
  and
• 17:18
  it
• 17:19
  seems
• 17:19
  like
• 17:19
  you
• 17:20
  could
• 17:20
  do
• 17:20
  a
• 17:20
  pretty
• 17:20
  good
• 17:20
  job
• 17:21
  keeping
• 17:21
  your
• 17:21
  bills
• 17:22
  pretty
• 17:22
  low.
• 17:22
  Which
• 17:23
  is
• 17:23
  great.
• 17:23
  Which
• 17:24
  is
• 17:24
  great.
• 17:24
  What's.
• 17:24
  I
• 17:25
  want
• 17:25
  to
• 17:25
  ask
• 17:25
  you,
• 17:25
  what's
• 17:25
  your
• 17:25
  biggest
• 17:26
  challenge
• 17:27
  this
• 17:27
  year?
• 17:27
  I
• 17:27
  know
• 17:27
  we've
• 17:28
  had
• 17:28
  so
• 17:28
  many
• 17:28
  challenges
• 17:29
  over
• 17:29
  the
• 17:29
  year
• 17:29
  like
• 17:30
  the
• 17:30
  building
• 17:30
  industry
• 17:31
  does,
• 17:31
  but
• 17:32
  what's
• 17:32
  your
• 17:32
  biggest
• 17:33
  challenge
• 17:33
  today?
• 17:34
  Is
• 17:34
  it
• 17:34
  trying
• 17:34
  to
• 17:35
  get
• 17:35
  Land,
• 17:36
  trying
• 17:36
  to
• 17:36
  get
• 17:36
  students.
• 17:37
  What's
• 17:38
  the
• 17:38
  big
• 17:38
  deal
• 17:38
  for
• 17:38
  you
• 17:38
  right
• 17:39
  now?
• 17:39
  I
• 17:39
  mean,
• 17:39
  every
• 17:40
  year,
• 17:40
  it's
• 17:40
  got
• 17:40
  to
• 17:40
  be
• 17:40
  different.
• 17:41
  Oh,
• 17:41
  I'm
• 17:42
  so
• 17:42
  glad
• 17:42
  you
• 17:42
  asked.
• 17:43
  You
• 17:44
  know
• 17:44
  what?
• 17:44
  This
• 17:44
  program
• 17:45
  doesn't
• 17:45
  exist
• 17:45
  if
• 17:46
  we
• 17:46
  don't
• 17:46
  have
• 17:46
  a
• 17:46
  lot
• 17:46
  to
• 17:47
  build
• 17:47
  on,
• 17:48
  and
• 17:48
  we
• 17:48
  have
• 17:48
  one
• 17:49
  left.
• 17:50
  The
• 17:50
  last
• 17:50
  time
• 17:51
  I
• 17:51
  talked
• 17:51
  to
• 17:51
  you,
• 17:52
  I
• 17:52
  think
• 17:52
  I
• 17:52
  had
• 17:52
  about
• 17:53
  10
• 17:53
  ahead
• 17:53
  of
• 17:53
  me.
• 17:55
  Yeah,
• 17:55
  here
• 17:55
  we
• 17:56
  are.
• 17:56
  I'm
• 17:57
  at
• 17:57
  a
• 17:57
  lot.
• 17:58
  We
• 17:58
  can't
• 17:59
  find
• 17:59
  any
• 17:59
  for
• 17:59
  sale.
• 18:00
  You
• 18:00
  know,
• 18:01
  we've
• 18:01
  approached
• 18:01
  some
• 18:01
  developers
• 18:02
  and
• 18:03
  haven't
• 18:03
  really
• 18:03
  gotten
• 18:03
  anywhere.
• 18:04
  So
• 18:05
  I
• 18:06
  have
• 18:06
  a
• 18:06
  lot
• 18:06
  for
• 18:06
  next
• 18:06
  year,
• 18:07
  and
• 18:09
  we
• 18:09
  don't
• 18:09
  know
• 18:09
  where
• 18:09
  we're
• 18:09
  going
• 18:10
  after
• 18:10
  that,
• 18:10
  so
• 18:11
  that's
• 18:11
  a
• 18:12
  little
• 18:12
  disconcerting.
• 18:13
  And,
• 18:13
  you
• 18:14
  know,
• 18:14
  I'll
• 18:14
  tell
• 18:14
  you,
• 18:16
  people
• 18:16
  reach
• 18:16
  out
• 18:17
  to
• 18:17
  us.
• 18:18
  Seems
• 18:18
  like
• 18:18
  one
• 18:19
  or
• 18:19
  two
• 18:19
  folks
• 18:20
  will
• 18:20
  reach
• 18:20
  out
• 18:20
  to
• 18:20
  us
• 18:20
  a
• 18:21
  year.
• 18:21
  Other
• 18:21
  schools
• 18:22
  wanting
• 18:22
  to
• 18:22
  get
• 18:22
  something
• 18:22
  like
• 18:23
  this
• 18:23
  started.
• 18:24
  But
• 18:24
  you'd
• 18:25
  be
• 18:25
  glad
• 18:25
  to
• 18:25
  hear
• 18:25
  this.
• 18:25
  Some.
• 18:26
  Some
• 18:26
  nationwide,
• 18:27
  I've
• 18:27
  had.
• 18:27
  I've
• 18:28
  done
• 18:28
  some
• 18:28
  zoom
• 18:28
  calls
• 18:29
  with
• 18:29
  folks
• 18:29
  in
• 18:29
  Philadelphia,
• 18:30
  Chicago.
• 18:32
  I
• 18:32
  had
• 18:33
  somebody
• 18:33
  reach
• 18:33
  out
• 18:33
  to
• 18:34
  me
• 18:34
  from
• 18:34
  Europe.
• 18:35
  Nice.
• 18:35
  But
• 18:36
  it's.
• 18:37
  I
• 18:37
  don't
• 18:37
  know
• 18:38
  how
• 18:38
  I
• 18:38
  could
• 18:38
  help.
• 18:38
  Yeah,
• 18:39
  but.
• 18:40
  But,
• 18:40
  you
• 18:40
  know,
• 18:41
  you
• 18:41
  want
• 18:41
  to
• 18:41
  talk
• 18:41
  to
• 18:41
  someone
• 18:42
  that's
• 18:42
  done
• 18:42
  it
• 18:42
  to
• 18:42
  find
• 18:43
  out
• 18:43
  what
• 18:43
  the
• 18:43
  pitfalls
• 18:44
  are.
• 18:44
  And
• 18:44
  my
• 18:44
  answer
• 18:45
  is
• 18:45
  always,
• 18:45
  it's
• 18:46
  for
• 18:46
  us,
• 18:46
  it's
• 18:46
  land
• 18:47
  acquisition,
• 18:48
  you
• 18:48
  know,
• 18:48
  and,
• 18:49
  I
• 18:49
  mean,
• 18:49
  we're
• 18:49
  not
• 18:50
  asking.
• 18:51
  We're
• 18:51
  not
• 18:51
  asking
• 18:52
  for
• 18:52
  it
• 18:52
  for
• 18:52
  free.
• 18:52
  I
• 18:53
  mean,
• 18:53
  we'll
• 18:53
  pay
• 18:53
  what
• 18:54
  the
• 18:54
  lot's
• 18:54
  worth.
• 18:54
  But
• 18:55
  just
• 18:56
  trying
• 18:56
  to
• 18:56
  find
• 18:56
  a
• 18:56
  lot
• 18:57
  that
• 18:57
  someone's
• 18:57
  willing
• 18:58
  to
• 18:58
  sell,
• 18:59
  that's
• 18:59
  a
• 18:59
  challenge.
• 19:00
  So
• 19:00
  we're.
• 19:01
  We're
• 19:01
  working
• 19:01
  on
• 19:02
  some
• 19:02
  things
• 19:02
  right
• 19:02
  now,
• 19:02
  but
• 19:03
  nothing's
• 19:03
  for
• 19:03
  certain.
• 19:04
  Are
• 19:05
  you
• 19:05
  guys
• 19:05
  within
• 19:05
  the
• 19:06
  urban
• 19:06
  growth
• 19:06
  boundary
• 19:07
  down
• 19:07
  there?
• 19:07
  Is
• 19:07
  that
• 19:07
  what
• 19:08
  part
• 19:08
  of
• 19:08
  the
• 19:08
  problems
• 19:08
  are?
• 19:09
  Or
• 19:09
  are
• 19:09
  you
• 19:09
  guys
• 19:10
  outside
• 19:10
  of
• 19:10
  that?
• 19:11
  Yeah,
• 19:11
  it's
• 19:12
  part
• 19:12
  of
• 19:12
  it.
• 19:12
  But
• 19:13
  I
• 19:14
  was
• 19:14
  actually
• 19:14
  talking
• 19:14
  to
• 19:15
  the
• 19:15
  teacher
• 19:16
  when
• 19:16
  we
• 19:16
  had
• 19:16
  a
• 19:16
  big
• 19:16
  open
• 19:17
  house
• 19:17
  last
• 19:17
  Saturday,
• 19:18
  and
• 19:18
  I
• 19:18
  think
• 19:19
  we
• 19:19
  had
• 19:19
  about
• 19:19
  500
• 19:19
  folks
• 19:20
  through.
• 19:21
  Anyway,
• 19:21
  the
• 19:22
  teacher
• 19:22
  that
• 19:23
  I
• 19:23
  replaced
• 19:24
  in
• 19:24
  99,
• 19:25
  he
• 19:25
  came
• 19:25
  up
• 19:25
  just
• 19:26
  for
• 19:26
  the
• 19:26
  occasion.
• 19:27
  He
• 19:28
  just
• 19:28
  said
• 19:28
  how
• 19:28
  much
• 19:28
  easier
• 19:29
  it
• 19:29
  was
• 19:29
  to
• 19:29
  acquire
• 19:30
  lots
• 19:30
  back
• 19:30
  when
• 19:31
  he
• 19:31
  was
• 19:31
  running
• 19:31
  it,
• 19:32
  you
• 19:32
  know,
• 19:32
  because
• 19:32
  it
• 19:32
  was
• 19:33
  a
• 19:33
  lot
• 19:33
  of
• 19:33
  smaller
• 19:33
  developers.
• 19:34
  Smaller
• 19:35
  builders.
• 19:36
  You
• 19:36
  have
• 19:36
  a
• 19:36
  small
• 19:36
  developer,
• 19:37
  they're
• 19:38
  willing
• 19:38
  to
• 19:38
  sell
• 19:39
  a
• 19:39
  few
• 19:39
  lots.
• 19:40
  But
• 19:40
  as
• 19:41
  the
• 19:41
  bigger
• 19:42
  builders
• 19:42
  have
• 19:42
  come
• 19:42
  in,
• 19:43
  you
• 19:44
  know,
• 19:44
  and
• 19:44
  I
• 19:44
  understand.
• 19:45
  I
• 19:45
  mean,
• 19:45
  they're
• 19:45
  out
• 19:45
  running
• 19:46
  charities.
• 19:46
  No,
• 19:46
  they're
• 19:47
  trying
• 19:47
  to.
• 19:48
  They're
• 19:48
  trying
• 19:48
  to
• 19:48
  make
• 19:48
  a
• 19:49
  living,
• 19:49
  too.
• 19:49
  But
• 19:51
  it
• 19:51
  would
• 19:51
  be
• 19:51
  great
• 19:51
  for
• 19:52
  them.
• 19:52
  It
• 19:52
  would
• 19:52
  be
• 19:52
  great
• 19:53
  for
• 19:53
  them,
• 19:53
  as
• 19:54
  you
• 19:54
  know,
• 19:54
  as.
• 19:54
  As
• 19:55
  you
• 19:55
  and
• 19:56
  I
• 19:56
  know,
• 19:56
  at
• 19:56
  least
• 19:56
  in
• 19:56
  the
• 19:56
  industry
• 19:57
  that
• 19:57
  there
• 19:57
  are
• 19:57
  these
• 19:58
  massive
• 19:58
  builders
• 19:59
  are
• 19:59
  coming
• 19:59
  in.
• 19:59
  I
• 19:59
  can
• 19:59
  be
• 20:00
  driving
• 20:00
  around
• 20:00
  in
• 20:00
  your
• 20:00
  area
• 20:01
  and
• 20:01
  you
• 20:01
  see
• 20:01
  a,
• 20:02
  what
• 20:02
  used
• 20:02
  to
• 20:02
  be
• 20:03
  a
• 20:03
  field
• 20:03
  that
• 20:03
  hasn't
• 20:04
  been
• 20:04
  farmed
• 20:04
  in
• 20:04
  20
• 20:04
  years
• 20:05
  and
• 20:05
  all
• 20:05
  of
• 20:05
  a
• 20:05
  sudden
• 20:05
  there's

  kind
• 23:15
  of
• 23:15
  our
• 23:15
  niche.
• 23:15
  Right.
• 23:15
  I
• 23:16
  get
• 23:16
  a
• 23:16
  lot
• 23:16
  of
• 23:16
  empty
• 23:16
  nesters
• 23:17
  that
• 23:18
  buy
• 23:18
  our

  they're

  a
• 23:21
  really
• 23:21
  nice
• 23:22
  one
• 23:22
  level
• 23:22
  house
• 23:22
  that
• 23:23
  has
• 23:23
  upgrades,
• 23:24
  that's
• 23:24
  also
• 23:24
  energy
• 23:25
  efficient.
• 23:25
  And
• 23:26
  yeah,
• 23:26
  I
• 23:27
  feel
• 23:27
  like
• 23:27
  it's
• 23:27
  a,
• 23:27
  it's
• 23:27
  a
• 23:28
  one
• 23:28
  off
• 23:28
  every
• 23:28
  year.
• 23:29
  But
• 23:30
  the,
• 23:30
  you
• 23:30
  know,
• 23:30
  as
• 23:30
  the
• 23:30
  lots
• 23:31
  get
• 23:31
  tighter
• 23:31
  and
• 23:31
  tighter,
• 23:32
  it's
• 23:32
  harder
• 23:32
  to,
• 23:33
  harder
• 23:34
  to
• 23:34
  squeeze
• 23:34
  at
• 23:34
  one
• 23:34
  level
• 23:35
  onto
• 23:35
  those
• 23:35
  little
• 23:35
  lots.
• 23:36
  But
• 23:36
  boy,
• 23:36
  you
• 23:36
  know,
• 23:37
  I'm
• 23:37
  almost
• 23:37
  willing
• 23:37
  to
• 23:38
  try
• 23:38
  anything
• 23:38
  at
• 23:38
  this.
• 23:38
  No
• 23:39
  kidding.
• 23:39
  No
• 23:39
  kidding.
• 23:40
  You
• 23:40
  know,
• 23:40
  but
• 23:41
  you
• 23:41
  guys
• 23:41
  built
• 23:42
  such
• 23:42
  a
• 23:42
  great
• 23:42
  house
• 23:42
  and
• 23:43
  they're
• 23:43
  just
• 23:43
  so
• 23:44
  absolutely
• 23:45
  gorgeous
• 23:45
  and
• 23:46
  how
• 23:46
  they're
• 23:46
  built
• 23:46
  and
• 23:47
  you
• 23:48
  know,
• 23:48
  it's
• 23:48
  so
• 23:48
  great
• 23:48
  to
• 23:48
  see
• 23:49
  you
• 23:49
  guys
• 23:49
  teaching
• 23:49
  these
• 23:50
  kids
• 23:50
  how
• 23:50
  to,
• 23:51
  how
• 23:51
  to
• 23:51
  manage
• 23:52
  themselves
• 23:52
  as
• 23:53
  well
• 23:53
  as
• 23:53
  the
• 23:54
  trades.
• 23:54
  And
• 23:55
  I
• 23:55
  think
• 23:55
  that's
• 23:55
  so
• 23:56
  equal
• 23:56
  of
• 23:56
  learning
• 23:57
  the
• 23:57
  work
• 23:57
  ethic,
• 23:58
  learning
• 23:58
  how
• 23:58
  to
• 23:58
  show
• 23:58
  up
• 23:58
  to
• 23:59
  work
• 23:59
  on
• 23:59
  time.
• 24:00
  And
• 24:00
  then
• 24:00
  just
• 24:00
  learning
• 24:01
  the
• 24:01
  skills
• 24:01
  to
• 24:02
  be
• 24:02
  a
• 24:02
  craftsperson.
• 24:03
  Absolutely.
• 24:04
  You
• 24:05
  know,
• 24:05
  you
• 24:05
  can
• 24:05
  teach
• 24:05
  them
• 24:05
  the
• 24:05
  skills.
• 24:07
  You
• 24:07
  know,
• 24:07
  like
• 24:07
  we
• 24:07
  have
• 24:07
  our
• 24:07
  big
• 24:07
  open
• 24:08
  house
• 24:08
  every
• 24:08
  year
• 24:09
  and
• 24:09
  it's
• 24:09
  become
• 24:09
  quite
• 24:10
  a
• 24:10
  big
• 24:10
  community
• 24:11
  event
• 24:11
  for
• 24:11
  us.
• 24:12
  And
• 24:13
  the
• 24:13
  thing
• 24:13
  I'm
• 24:13
  most
• 24:13
  proud
• 24:14
  of,
• 24:14
  it's
• 24:14
  not,
• 24:15
  it's
• 24:15
  not
• 24:15
  so
• 24:15
  much
• 24:15
  the
• 24:16
  house
• 24:16
  every
• 24:16
  year,
• 24:16
  it's
• 24:17
  just
• 24:17
  how
• 24:17
  the
• 24:17
  students
• 24:18
  conduct
• 24:18
  themselves,
• 24:19
  giving
• 24:19
  tours.
• 24:20
  I
• 24:20
  don't,
• 24:21
  I
• 24:21
  always
• 24:21
  make
• 24:22
  it
• 24:22
  a
• 24:22
  point
• 24:22
  that
• 24:22
  day
• 24:22
  not
• 24:23
  to
• 24:23
  go
• 24:23
  in
• 24:23
  the
• 24:23
  house
• 24:23
  myself.
• 24:24
  I
• 24:24
  just
• 24:24
  stay
• 24:25
  out
• 24:25
  front
• 24:25
  and
• 24:25
  let
• 24:25
  them
• 24:26
  run
• 24:26
  it.
• 24:26
  But
• 24:27
  they
• 24:27
  greet
• 24:27
  people
• 24:27
  and
• 24:28
  give
• 24:28
  tours
• 24:28
  and,
• 24:29
  you
• 24:29
  know,
• 24:30
  the
• 24:30
  best
• 24:30
  feedback
• 24:30
  I
• 24:31
  get
• 24:31
  is
• 24:31
  just
• 24:31
  how
• 24:32
  knowledgeable
• 24:33
  they
• 24:33
  are
• 24:33
  and
• 24:33
  how
• 24:34
  polite
• 24:34
  they
• 24:34
  are
• 24:34
  and
• 24:35
  how,
• 24:36
  how
• 24:36
  well
• 24:36
  they
• 24:37
  conduct
• 24:37
  themselves.
• 24:38
  So
• 24:39
  that's.
• 24:40
  Any
• 24:41
  parent
• 24:41
  would
• 24:41
  like
• 24:41
  to
• 24:41
  hear
• 24:41
  that,
• 24:42
  right?
• 24:42
  Absolutely.
• 24:43
  And
• 24:43
  then
• 24:43
  you
• 24:43
  can
• 24:43
  just
• 24:44
  see
• 24:44
  the
• 24:44
  proud
• 24:45
  just
• 24:45
  gleaming
• 24:46
  from
• 24:46
  them.
• 24:46
  Because
• 24:46
  I
• 24:47
  noticed
• 24:47
  that
• 24:47
  every
• 24:47
  time
• 24:47
  I've
• 24:48
  been
• 24:48
  over
• 24:48
  there
• 24:48
  is
• 24:48
  you
• 24:49
  got
• 24:49
  these
• 24:49
  kids
• 24:49
  that
• 24:49
  are
• 24:50
  so
• 24:50
  proud
• 24:50
  that
• 24:50
  look
• 24:51
  what
• 24:51
  I
• 24:51
  built.
• 24:52
  Yeah,
• 24:53
  it's.
• 24:54
  I
• 24:55
  would
• 24:55
  say
• 24:55
  that
• 24:57
  back
• 24:57
  when
• 24:58
  these
• 24:58
  home
• 24:58
  building
• 24:59
  programs
• 24:59
  were
• 24:59
  more
• 25:00
  common,
• 25:01
  a
• 25:01
  lot
• 25:01
  of
• 25:01
  them
• 25:02
  were
• 25:02
  on
• 25:02
  a
• 25:02
  two
• 25:02
  year
• 25:02
  cycle.
• 25:04
  So
• 25:04
  it
• 25:05
  would
• 25:05
  take
• 25:05
  two
• 25:05
  years
• 25:05
  to
• 25:06
  build
• 25:06
  a
• 25:06
  house
• 25:06
  and
• 25:06
  you'd
• 25:07
  have
• 25:07
  multiple
• 25:08
  crews
• 25:08
  come
• 25:08
  through
• 25:09
  working
• 25:09
  on
• 25:09
  it.
• 25:10
  And
• 25:11
  myself
• 25:11
  being
• 25:11
  from
• 25:12
  the
• 25:12
  trades
• 25:12
  and
• 25:12
  having
• 25:13
  been
• 25:13
  a
• 25:13
  former
• 25:14
  construction
• 25:14
  superintendent,
• 25:16
  just
• 25:16
  that
• 25:16
  whole,
• 25:17
  that
• 25:18
  whole
• 25:18
  scheduling
• 25:19
  thing
• 25:19
  and
• 25:20
  that
• 25:20
  urgency
• 25:20
  to
• 25:21
  get
• 25:21
  things
• 25:21
  done,
• 25:22
  I
• 25:22
  couldn't
• 25:22
  quite
• 25:23
  shake
• 25:23
  that.
• 25:24
  But
• 25:24
  also
• 25:24
  having
• 25:25
  done
• 25:25
  athletics
• 25:26
  and
• 25:26
  things,
• 25:27
  I
• 25:27
  really
• 25:27
  wanted
• 25:27
  them
• 25:28
  to
• 25:28
  have
• 25:28
  a,
• 25:29
  to
• 25:29
  feel
• 25:29
  an
• 25:29
  ownership
• 25:30
  and
• 25:31
  a
• 25:31
  sense
• 25:31
  of
• 25:31
  team
• 25:32
  over
• 25:33
  their
• 25:33
  house
• 25:34
  in
• 25:34
  particular.
• 25:35
  So
• 25:36
  I
• 25:36
  didn't
• 25:36
  want
• 25:36
  it
• 25:36
  just
• 25:37
  to
• 25:37
  be
• 25:37
  a
• 25:37
  house
• 25:37
  they're
• 25:38
  working
• 25:38
  on.
• 25:38
  I
• 25:38
  wanted
• 25:38
  it
• 25:39
  to
• 25:39
  be
• 25:39
  a
• 25:39
  house
• 25:39
  that
• 25:39
  they
• 25:40
  felt
• 25:40
  ownership
• 25:40
  and
• 25:41
  pride
• 25:41
  for.
• 25:42
  And
• 25:43
  you
• 25:43
  know,
• 25:43
  I'm
• 25:44
  glad
• 25:44
  you
• 25:44
  said
• 25:44
  that
• 25:44
  too,
• 25:45
  because
• 25:45
  that
• 25:45
  is,
• 25:46
  that's
• 25:46
  one
• 25:47
  of
• 25:47
  the
• 25:47
  best
• 25:47
  things
• 25:47
  like
• 25:48
  I'm.
• 25:48
  They're
• 25:49
  having,
• 25:49
  it's
• 25:49
  an
• 25:49
  all
• 25:50
  senior
• 25:50
  crew
• 25:51
  many
• 25:51
  years,
• 25:52
  not
• 25:52
  every
• 25:53
  year,
• 25:53
  but
• 25:53
  many
• 25:53
  years.
• 25:53
  And
• 25:54
  it
• 25:54
  is
• 25:54
  this
• 25:54
  year.
• 25:55
  But
• 25:55
  they'll
• 25:55
  be
• 25:56
  having
• 25:56
  graduation
• 25:56
  on
• 25:57
  Saturday.
• 25:57
  And
• 25:57
  I'm
• 25:57
  going
• 25:58
  to
• 25:58
  hold
• 25:58
  it
• 25:58
  open
• 25:59
  for
• 25:59
  them
• 25:59
  and
• 26:00
  their
• 26:00
  parents
• 26:00
  if
• 26:00
  they'd
• 26:01
  like
• 26:01
  to
• 26:01
  come
• 26:01
  by
• 26:01
  and
• 26:01
  take
• 26:02
  pictures
• 26:02
  and
• 26:03
  that.
• 26:03
  And
• 26:04
  just
• 26:04
  seeing
• 26:05
  how
• 26:05
  proud
• 26:05
  they
• 26:06
  are,
• 26:06
  you
• 26:06
  know,
• 26:06
  to
• 26:07
  show
• 26:07
  their
• 26:08
  mom
• 26:08
  and
• 26:09
  dad
• 26:09
  and
• 26:10
  friends
• 26:10
  and
• 26:10
  family
• 26:12
  it's
• 26:12
  not,
• 26:13
  it's
• 26:13
  not
• 26:13
  just
• 26:13
  a
• 26:14
  thing
• 26:14
  they're
• 26:14
  doing.
• 26:14
  It's
• 26:15
  something
• 26:15
  that
• 26:15
  they're
• 26:16
  invested
• 26:16
  in.
• 26:16
  And
• 26:17
  now
• 26:17
  these
• 26:17
  kids
• 26:17
  for
• 26:17
  the
• 26:18
  rest
• 26:18
  of
• 26:18
  their
• 26:18
  lives
• 26:19
  can
• 26:19
  drive
• 26:19
  their
• 26:20
  family
• 26:20
  nuts
• 26:20
  by
• 26:21
  driving
• 26:21
  by
• 26:21
  and
• 26:21
  going.
• 26:23
  Where
• 26:24
  are
• 26:24
  we
• 26:24
  going?
• 26:24
  I
• 26:24
  was
• 26:24
  going
• 26:25
  to
• 26:25
  quick
• 26:25
  take
• 26:25
  a
• 26:25
  quick
• 26:26
  detour
• 26:27
  the
• 26:27
  house.
• 26:28
  Exactly.
• 26:28
  We've
• 26:29
  all
• 26:29
  done
• 26:29
  that.
• 26:29
  We've
• 26:30
  all
• 26:30
  Done
• 26:30
  that
• 26:30
  in
• 26:30
  the
• 26:30
  trades.
• 26:31
  And
• 26:31
  it's
• 26:31
  so
• 26:31
  funny
• 26:32
  because
• 26:32
  you're
• 26:32
  like,
• 26:32
  oh,
• 26:32
  I
• 26:33
  worked
• 26:33
  on
• 26:33
  that
• 26:33
  house
• 26:33
  and
• 26:34
  I
• 26:34
  worked
• 26:34
  on
• 26:34
  this
• 26:34
  house.
• 26:35
  And
• 26:35
  as
• 26:35
  you're
• 26:35
  driving
• 26:36
  down
• 26:36
  the
• 26:36
  street
• 26:36
  pointing
• 26:36
  out
• 26:37
  to
• 26:37
  projects
• 26:37
  you've
• 26:37
  worked
• 26:38
  on,
• 26:38
  no
• 26:38
  matter
• 26:39
  what
• 26:39
  city
• 26:39
  you're
• 26:39
  in,
• 26:39
  if
• 26:40
  you've
• 26:40
  even
• 26:40
  moved
• 26:40
  away,
• 26:41
  it's
• 26:41
  fun
• 26:41
  to
• 26:41
  go
• 26:41
  back
• 26:41
  and
• 26:42
  take
• 26:42
  a
• 26:42
  look
• 26:42
  and
• 26:42
  see
• 26:42
  what's
• 26:43
  happened.
• 26:43
  But
• 26:44
  I'm
• 26:44
  sure
• 26:44
  you've
• 26:45
  got
• 26:45
  that
• 26:45
  now
• 26:45
  with.
• 26:46
  Since
• 26:46
  99,
• 26:47
  you've
• 26:47
  got
• 26:47
  plenty
• 26:47
  of
• 26:47
  homes
• 26:48
  around
• 26:48
  the
• 26:48
  area
• 26:48
  that
• 26:48
  you're
• 26:49
  driving
• 26:49
  by
• 26:49
  going,
• 26:49
  oh,
• 26:49
  that's
• 26:50
  looking
• 26:50
  pretty
• 26:50
  good.
• 26:51
  Yeah.
• 26:52
  This
• 26:52
  is
• 26:53
  my
• 26:53
  person
• 26:54
  for
• 26:54
  some
• 26:54
  of
• 26:54
  the
• 26:55
  50
• 26:55
  houses.
• 26:55
  This
• 26:56
  is
• 26:56
  my
• 26:56
  27.
• 26:57
  Yeah.
• 26:57
  So.
• 26:58
  So
• 26:58
  I
• 26:58
  do.
• 26:58
  I,
• 26:59
  I.
• 27:00
  You
• 27:00
  know,
• 27:00
  people
• 27:00
  always
• 27:01
  ask
• 27:01
  me,
• 27:01
  you
• 27:01
  know,
• 27:01
  what's
• 27:02
  your
• 27:02
  favorite
• 27:02
  house?
• 27:03
  And
• 27:04
  it
• 27:04
  sounds
• 27:05
  like
• 27:05
  just
• 27:05
  something
• 27:05
  I'm
• 27:06
  saying,
• 27:06
  but,
• 27:06
  you
• 27:06
  know,
• 27:07
  it's
• 27:07
  the
• 27:07
  one
• 27:07
  I'm
• 27:07
  working
• 27:07
  on
• 27:08
  at
• 27:08
  the
• 27:08
  time.
• 27:08
  Yeah.
• 27:08
  Because
• 27:09
  you
• 27:09
  put
• 27:09
  your
• 27:09
  all
• 27:09
  into
• 27:10
  it.
• 27:10
  You
• 27:10
  put
• 27:10
  your
• 27:10
  whole
• 27:11
  heart
• 27:11
  and
• 27:12
  energy
• 27:12
  into
• 27:13
  it.
• 27:13
  And,
• 27:15
  you
• 27:15
  know,
• 27:15
  I
• 27:15
  certainly
• 27:15
  have
• 27:16
  some
• 27:17
  that
• 27:17
  I'm
• 27:17
  very
• 27:17
  fond
• 27:18
  of.
• 27:18
  And
• 27:18
  it.
• 27:19
  That
• 27:20
  it's
• 27:20
  always.
• 27:20
  It's
• 27:20
  just
• 27:21
  more
• 27:21
  the
• 27:21
  personality
• 27:21
  of
• 27:22
  the
• 27:22
  cruise,
• 27:22
  I
• 27:22
  think,
• 27:22
  than.
• 27:23
  The
• 27:23
  houses
• 27:24
  are
• 27:24
  all
• 27:24
  great,
• 27:24
  I
• 27:25
  like
• 27:25
  to
• 27:25
  think.
• 27:25
  Yeah.
• 27:26
  But
• 27:27
  some
• 27:27
  of
• 27:27
  the
• 27:27
  personalities
• 27:28
  of
• 27:28
  the
• 27:28
  crews
• 27:28
  really
• 27:29
  stand
• 27:29
  out,
• 27:30
  of
• 27:30
  course.
• 27:31
  Anyway.
• 27:31
  Yeah,
• 27:31
  that's
• 27:32
  one
• 27:32
  of
• 27:32
  the
• 27:32
  things.
• 27:32
  That's
• 27:33
  one
• 27:33
  of
• 27:33
  the
• 27:33
  things
• 27:33
  we've
• 27:33
  learned
• 27:34
  as
• 27:34
  part
• 27:34
  of
• 27:34
  the
• 27:34
  trades
• 27:35
  as
• 27:35
  well,
• 27:35
  is.
• 27:36
  And,
• 27:37
  you
• 27:37
  know,
• 27:37
  my
• 27:37
  girlfriend
• 27:38
  was
• 27:38
  asking
• 27:38
  me
• 27:38
  that.
• 27:38
  Who
• 27:39
  you
• 27:39
  went
• 27:39
  to
• 27:39
  school
• 27:39
  with?
• 27:40
  Elise
• 27:40
  asked
• 27:40
  me
• 27:41
  the
• 27:41
  day
• 27:41
  she
• 27:41
  goes,
• 27:41
  how
• 27:41
  do
• 27:42
  you
• 27:42
  let
• 27:42
  go
• 27:42
  of
• 27:42
  projects?
• 27:44
  It's
• 27:44
  like
• 27:44
  when
• 27:44
  you've
• 27:45
  done
• 27:45
  so
• 27:45
  many
• 27:45
  projects,
• 27:46
  when
• 27:46
  you
• 27:46
  hand
• 27:46
  it
• 27:47
  off
• 27:47
  to
• 27:47
  the
• 27:47
  homeowner,
• 27:47
  the
• 27:48
  new
• 27:48
  owner,
• 27:48
  or
• 27:48
  whatever,
• 27:49
  or
• 27:49
  whatever
• 27:49
  goes
• 27:50
  on,
• 27:50
  you
• 27:51
  have
• 27:51
  to
• 27:51
  have
• 27:51
  a
• 27:51
  little
• 27:51
  bit
• 27:52
  of
• 27:52
  a
• 27:52
  disconnect
• 27:52
  that
• 27:53
  it's
• 27:53
  like,
• 27:53
  wow,
• 27:54
  you've
• 27:54
  got
• 27:54
  your
• 27:54
  pride
• 27:55
  in
• 27:55
  it,
• 27:56
  but
• 27:56
  it's
• 27:56
  like
• 27:57
  you're
• 27:57
  setting
• 27:57
  it
• 27:58
  free
• 27:58
  to
• 27:58
  go
• 27:58
  live
• 27:58
  its
• 27:59
  life
• 27:59
  in
• 27:59
  a
• 27:59
  way
• 27:59
  where
• 27:59
  you're
• 27:59
  like,
• 28:00
  all
• 28:00
  right,
• 28:00
  there
• 28:00
  we
• 28:00
  go,
• 28:01
  next
• 28:02
  project.
• 28:02
  And
• 28:03
  we
• 28:03
  have
• 28:03
  to
• 28:03
  learn
• 28:04
  that
• 28:04
  in
• 28:04
  the
• 28:04
  trades
• 28:05
  as,
• 28:06
  okay,
• 28:06
  that's
• 28:07
  my
• 28:07
  blood,
• 28:07
  sweat
• 28:07
  and
• 28:07
  tears.
• 28:08
  And
• 28:08
  now
• 28:08
  it's
• 28:09
  got
• 28:09
  a
• 28:09
  new
• 28:09
  home.
• 28:10
  Yeah,
• 28:11
  you
• 28:11
  kind
• 28:11
  of.
• 28:12
  You
• 28:12
  hit
• 28:12
  the
• 28:12
  nail
• 28:12
  on
• 28:12
  the
• 28:13
  head
• 28:13
  again.
• 28:13
  I
• 28:14
  do.
• 28:14
  I
• 28:14
  get
• 28:15
  sentimentally
• 28:16
  attached
• 28:17
  to
• 28:17
  every
• 28:17
  one
• 28:17
  of
• 28:17
  these
• 28:18
  houses,
• 28:18
  you
• 28:18
  know,
• 28:19
  and.
• 28:19
  And.
• 28:19
  And
• 28:20
  I.
• 28:20
  I
• 28:20
  can
• 28:20
  see
• 28:20
  it
• 28:21
  in
• 28:21
  a
• 28:21
  lot
• 28:21
  of
• 28:21
  the
• 28:21
  students,
• 28:22
  too.
• 28:23
  You
• 28:23
  know,
• 28:23
  it's.
• 28:23
  It's
• 28:24
  like,
• 28:24
  we'll
• 28:25
  meet
• 28:25
  for
• 28:25
  the
• 28:25
  last
• 28:26
  time
• 28:27
  officially
• 28:28
  tomorrow.
• 28:29
  We'll
• 28:29
  meet
• 28:29
  it.
• 28:29
  We'll
• 28:30
  go
• 28:30
  to
• 28:30
  the
• 28:30
  job
• 28:30
  site
• 28:30
  one
• 28:31
  last
• 28:31
  time,
• 28:31
  and,
• 28:32
  you
• 28:33
  know,
• 28:33
  we'll
• 28:33
  Have
• 28:33
  a
• 28:33
  little
• 28:34
  bit
• 28:34
  of
• 28:34
  a
• 28:34
  going
• 28:34
  away
• 28:35
  ceremony.
• 28:35
  And
• 28:36
  of
• 28:36
  course
• 28:36
  I'll
• 28:37
  give
• 28:37
  them
• 28:37
  100
• 28:37
  question
• 28:38
  final.
• 28:38
  I
• 28:38
  want
• 28:38
  them
• 28:39
  to
• 28:39
  get
• 28:39
  their
• 28:39
  money's
• 28:39
  worth,
• 28:40
  but
• 28:40
  you,
• 28:40
  you
• 28:40
  know,
• 28:40
  the
• 28:41
  time
• 28:41
  we
• 28:41
  have
• 28:41
  left
• 28:41
  to
• 28:42
  sit
• 28:42
  around
• 28:42
  and
• 28:42
  chit
• 28:43
  chat,
• 28:43
  enjoy
• 28:43
  the
• 28:44
  space,
• 28:44
  you
• 28:44
  know,
• 28:45
  but
• 28:45
  yeah,
• 28:46
  yeah,
• 28:46
  they
• 28:46
  are.
• 28:47
  It's,
• 28:47
  it's.
• 28:49
  I'm
• 28:49
  sure
• 28:49
  you
• 28:49
  agree.
• 28:50
  I
• 28:50
  mean,
• 28:50
  the,
• 28:50
  the
• 28:50
  best
• 28:52
  craftspeople
• 28:52
  you
• 28:53
  meet,
• 28:53
  you
• 28:53
  know,
• 28:53
  they
• 28:53
  put
• 28:54
  their
• 28:54
  heart
• 28:54
  and
• 28:54
  soul
• 28:54
  into
• 28:55
  what
• 28:55
  they're
• 28:55
  doing
• 28:55
  and
• 28:56
  it
• 28:56
  is
• 28:56
  a
• 28:56
  little
• 28:56
  hard.
• 28:57
  It's.
• 28:57
  Sometimes
• 28:57
  it
• 28:58
  feels
• 28:58
  like
• 28:58
  artwork
• 28:58
  you're
• 28:59
  letting
• 28:59
  go
• 29:00
  every
• 29:01
  time.
• 29:01
  Yep.
• 29:02
  I
• 29:02
  gotta
• 29:02
  fight
• 29:03
  my,
• 29:03
  you
• 29:03
  know,
• 29:04
  I
• 29:04
  do.
• 29:04
  I
• 29:04
  get
• 29:04
  overly
• 29:05
  sentimental
• 29:05
  about
• 29:05
  all
• 29:05
  of
• 29:06
  them.
• 29:06
  Yep.
• 29:07
  And
• 29:07
  you
• 29:07
  get
• 29:08
  a
• 29:08
  little,
• 29:08
  you
• 29:09
  know,
• 29:09
  a
• 29:09
  little
• 29:09
  picky
• 29:10
  about.
• 29:10
  You
• 29:11
  can't.
• 29:11
  You
• 29:11
  don't
• 29:11
  always
• 29:11
  have
• 29:12
  a
• 29:12
  say
• 29:12
  so.
• 29:12
  But
• 29:13
  I'm
• 29:13
  always
• 29:13
  relieved
• 29:13
  when
• 29:14
  the
• 29:14
  new
• 29:14
  buyers
• 29:15
  care
• 29:15
  for
• 29:15
  and
• 29:16
  love
• 29:16
  the
• 29:16
  house
• 29:16
  and
• 29:16
  appreciate
• 29:17
  it
• 29:17
  for
• 29:17
  what
• 29:17
  it
• 29:18
  is.
• 29:18
  How
• 29:18
  many
• 29:18
  times
• 29:18
  do
• 29:19
  we
• 29:19
  drive
• 29:19
  by
• 29:19
  a
• 29:19
  project
• 29:20
  that
• 29:20
  we've
• 29:20
  done
• 29:20
  in
• 29:20
  the
• 29:20
  past
• 29:21
  and
• 29:21
  you're
• 29:21
  like,
• 29:22
  oh,
• 29:23
  it's
• 29:23
  got
• 29:23
  the
• 29:23
  wrong
• 29:24
  owners
• 29:24
  because
• 29:24
  they're
• 29:25
  not
• 29:25
  taking
• 29:25
  care
• 29:25
  of
• 29:25
  it
• 29:26
  right?
• 29:26
  Yeah,
• 29:27
  unfortunately,
• 29:28
  that's
• 29:28
  only
• 29:28
  happened
• 29:29
  a
• 29:29
  few
• 29:29
  times.
• 29:29
  I
• 29:30
  know,
• 29:30
  but
• 29:30
  you
• 29:30
  know
• 29:30
  what
• 29:30
  I
• 29:30
  mean,
• 29:30
  those
• 29:30
  things
• 29:31
  happen.
• 29:31
  Yeah,
• 29:32
  no,
• 29:32
  I,
• 29:33
  Yeah,
• 29:34
  I
• 29:34
  mean
• 29:34
  that's,
• 29:35
  that's
• 29:35
  one
• 29:35
  thing
• 29:35
  I'll
• 29:35
  say
• 29:36
  too.
• 29:36
  We
• 29:36
  just.
• 29:37
  Way
• 29:38
  back
• 29:38
  in
• 29:38
  the
• 29:38
  early
• 29:38
  2000s,
• 29:39
  we
• 29:39
  were
• 29:39
  able
• 29:40
  to
• 29:40
  buy
• 29:40
  10
• 29:40
  lots
• 29:41
  in
• 29:41
  a
• 29:41
  row
• 29:41
  in
• 29:42
  a
• 29:42
  small
• 29:42
  subdivision
• 29:43
  by
• 29:43
  the
• 29:43
  high
• 29:43
  school.
• 29:43
  Nice.
• 29:44
  And
• 29:45
  I,
• 29:45
  you
• 29:45
  know,
• 29:46
  we
• 29:46
  built
• 29:46
  their
• 29:46
  on
• 29:47
  and
• 29:47
  off,
• 29:48
  depending
• 29:48
  on
• 29:48
  other
• 29:49
  opportunities
• 29:49
  that
• 29:50
  might
• 29:50
  have
• 29:50
  presented
• 29:51
  themselves.
• 29:51
  Like
• 29:52
  for
• 29:53
  instance,
• 29:53
  we
• 29:53
  built
• 29:54
  in
• 29:54
  three
• 29:54
  home
• 29:54
  shows
• 29:55
  through
• 29:55
  Stonebridge
• 29:56
  when
• 29:56
  they
• 29:57
  hosted
• 29:57
  some
• 29:57
  summer
• 29:58
  showcases
• 29:58
  and
• 29:58
  they
• 29:59
  were.
• 29:59
  Happened
• 29:59
  to
• 30:00
  be
• 30:00
  in
• 30:00
  Forest
• 30:00
  Grove
• 30:00
  and
• 30:01
  they
• 30:01
  graciously
• 30:01
  invited
• 30:02
  us
• 30:02
  to
• 30:02
  participate.
• 30:03
  So
• 30:04
  that
• 30:04
  was
• 30:04
  three
• 30:05
  years,
• 30:06
  you
• 30:06
  know,
• 30:06
  where
• 30:06
  I
• 30:06
  could
• 30:06
  offset
• 30:07
  my.
• 30:07
  Save
• 30:08
  my
• 30:08
  lots
• 30:08
  and
• 30:08
  go
• 30:09
  build
• 30:09
  on
• 30:09
  a
• 30:09
  lot.
• 30:10
  They
• 30:10
  sold
• 30:10
  me.
• 30:11
  But
• 30:11
  anyway,
• 30:12
  this,
• 30:12
  this
• 30:13
  one
• 30:13
  long,
• 30:13
  this
• 30:14
  one
• 30:14
  street,
• 30:14
  we
• 30:15
  bought
• 30:15
  10
• 30:15
  lots
• 30:15
  in
• 30:16
  a
• 30:16
  row.
• 30:16
  So
• 30:17
  just
• 30:17
  over
• 30:18
  the
• 30:18
  year,
• 30:18
  we
• 30:18
  just
• 30:18
  built
• 30:19
  on
• 30:19
  the
• 30:19
  last
• 30:19
  one
• 30:19
  last
• 30:20
  year.
• 30:20
  And
• 30:21
  it
• 30:21
  was
• 30:21
  a
• 30:22
  little
• 30:22
  sad
• 30:22
  to
• 30:22
  leave
• 30:22
  that
• 30:23
  street.
• 30:23
  You
• 30:24
  know,
• 30:24
  you
• 30:24
  got
• 30:24
  to
• 30:24
  know
• 30:24
  all
• 30:24
  the
• 30:25
  neighbors
• 30:25
  and
• 30:26
  knew
• 30:26
  all
• 30:26
  the
• 30:26
  homeowners,
• 30:27
  you
• 30:27
  know.
• 30:28
  Yeah.
• 30:28
  It's
• 30:28
  family
• 30:29
  street
• 30:29
  right
• 30:29
  there
• 30:29
  of
• 30:30
  everybody.
• 30:31
  Yeah.
• 30:31
  But
• 30:32
  it's
• 30:32
  cool
• 30:32
  because
• 30:33
  so
• 30:33
  many
• 30:33
  of
• 30:33
  them,
• 30:34
  you
• 30:34
  know,
• 30:34
  they're
• 30:35
  really,
• 30:36
  they
• 30:36
  really
• 30:36
  appreciate
• 30:37
  the
• 30:37
  home.
• 30:38
  They,
• 30:38
  they.
• 30:39
  In
• 30:40
  fact,
• 30:40
  one
• 30:40
  of
• 30:40
  them
• 30:41
  that
• 30:41
  bought
• 30:41
  one
• 30:41
  of
• 30:41
  our
• 30:41
  houses
• 30:42
  used
• 30:42
  to
• 30:42
  be
• 30:42
  a
• 30:42
  home
• 30:43
  inspector
• 30:44
  and
• 30:44
  he
• 30:44
  said
• 30:45
  it
• 30:45
  was
• 30:45
  the
• 30:45
  finest
• 30:45
  home
• 30:46
  he'd
• 30:46
  ever
• 30:46
  seen
• 30:47
  and
• 30:47
  he
• 30:47
  knew
• 30:47
  what
• 30:48
  he
• 30:48
  was
• 30:48
  looking
• 30:48
  at,
• 30:48
  you
• 30:49
  know,
• 30:49
  so
• 30:50
  I
• 30:50
  mean,
• 30:50
  those
• 30:51
  kind
• 30:51
  of
• 30:51
  accolades
• 30:52
  from
• 30:52
  somebody
• 30:53
  in
• 30:53
  the
• 30:53
  Industry,
• 30:54
  you
• 30:54
  know,
• 30:54
  it's
• 30:55
  more
• 30:55
  meaningful.
• 30:55
  Yeah,
• 30:56
  but
• 30:56
  just
• 30:56
  seeing
• 30:57
  and
• 30:57
  then
• 30:57
  seeing
• 30:58
  people
• 30:58
  sometimes
• 30:59
  get
• 30:59
  emotional
• 30:59
  about
• 31:00
  the
• 31:00
  houses.
• 31:01
  I
• 31:01
  had
• 31:02
  an
• 31:02
  owner
• 31:02
  a
• 31:02
  couple
• 31:03
  years
• 31:03
  ago.
• 31:03
  In
• 31:03
  fact,
• 31:03
  she
• 31:04
  came.
• 31:04
  A
• 31:04
  lot
• 31:04
  of
• 31:05
  them
• 31:05
  will
• 31:05
  come
• 31:05
  to
• 31:05
  every
• 31:05
  open
• 31:06
  house.
• 31:06
  So
• 31:06
  I
• 31:06
  saw
• 31:07
  a
• 31:07
  bunch
• 31:07
  of
• 31:07
  them
• 31:07
  on
• 31:07
  Saturday,
• 31:09
  came
• 31:09
  through
• 31:09
  to
• 31:09
  see
• 31:09
  the
• 31:10
  latest
• 31:10
  one.
• 31:10
  And
• 31:11
  it
• 31:11
  just
• 31:12
  makes
• 31:12
  me
• 31:12
  feel
• 31:12
  good
• 31:12
  that
• 31:13
  she
• 31:13
  says,
• 31:13
  I
• 31:13
  feel
• 31:14
  like
• 31:14
  this
• 31:14
  house
• 31:14
  was
• 31:14
  designed
• 31:15
  just
• 31:15
  for
• 31:15
  me.
• 31:16
  Yeah.
• 31:17
  Such
• 31:17
  a
• 31:17
  personal
• 31:17
  connection.
• 31:18
  And
• 31:18
  then
• 31:18
  you've
• 31:19
  got
• 31:19
  the
• 31:19
  personal
• 31:19
  connections
• 31:20
  of
• 31:20
  the
• 31:20
  students
• 31:21
  and
• 31:21
  their
• 31:22
  love
• 31:22
  and
• 31:22
  their
• 31:22
  blood,
• 31:22
  sweat
• 31:23
  and
• 31:23
  tears
• 31:23
  and
• 31:23
  hard
• 31:24
  work
• 31:24
  and
• 31:24
  they're
• 31:24
  learning.
• 31:24
  It's
• 31:25
  a
• 31:25
  part
• 31:25
  of
• 31:25
  that.
• 31:25
  So
• 31:26
  that's
• 31:26
  just
• 31:26
  good
• 31:26
  vibes
• 31:26
  everywhere.
• 31:27
  Yeah,
• 31:28
  that
• 31:28
  is.
• 31:29
  Yeah.
• 31:29
  It's.
• 31:29
  It's
• 31:29
  a
• 31:30
  good
• 31:30
  experience
• 31:30
  that
• 31:30
  way.
• 31:31
  It's,
• 31:31
  it's,
• 31:33
  you
• 31:34
  know,
• 31:34
  my,
• 31:34
  I
• 31:34
  remember
• 31:35
  my
• 31:35
  mom
• 31:35
  telling
• 31:35
  me
• 31:36
  when
• 31:36
  I
• 31:36
  was
• 31:36
  a
• 31:36
  kid,
• 31:36
  if
• 31:37
  you,
• 31:38
  if
• 31:38
  you
• 31:38
  enjoy
• 31:39
  what
• 31:39
  you're
• 31:39
  doing,
• 31:39
  you
• 31:40
  do
• 31:40
  for
• 31:40
  a
• 31:40
  living,
• 31:40
  you
• 31:41
  know,
• 31:41
  you're
• 31:41
  way
• 31:41
  ahead
• 31:41
  in
• 31:41
  life
• 31:42
  no
• 31:42
  matter
• 31:42
  what
• 31:43
  your
• 31:43
  paycheck
• 31:43
  is,
• 31:43
  if
• 31:44
  you're
• 31:44
  able
• 31:44
  to
• 31:44
  pay
• 31:44
  the
• 31:44

• 31:45
  and
• 31:46
  that
• 31:46
  you
• 31:46
  really
• 31:46
  love
• 31:47
  going
• 31:47
  to
• 31:47
  work,
• 31:47
  that's
• 31:48
  really
• 31:48
  worth
• 31:48
  something.
• 31:49
  Absolutely.
• 31:49
  You
• 31:50
  know,
• 31:51
  and
• 31:52
  I
• 31:52
  could,
• 31:52
  I
• 31:53
  can
• 31:53
  honestly
• 31:53
  say
• 31:54
  that
• 31:54
  this
• 31:54
  has
• 31:54
  delivered
• 31:55
  that
• 31:55
  for
• 31:55
  me.
• 31:55
  Nice.
• 31:56
  Nice.
• 31:56
  And
• 31:56
  you've
• 31:57
  delivered
• 31:57
  so
• 31:58
  many

• 34:50

• 34:51
  to
• 34:51

  Geez,

  like
• 34:53
  I
• 34:53
  was
• 34:53
  talking
• 34:53
  earlier

  some

  of

• 34:54
  that
• 34:54
  I've
• 34:55
  seen
• 34:55
  around
• 34:55
  here
• 34:55
  where
• 34:55
  I'm
• 34:56

• 34:57
  that
• 34:57
  siding's
• 34:57
  coming
• 34:57
  off
• 34:58

• 34:58

• 34:58

• 35:00

• 35:01

• 35:02

• 35:04

• 35:05
  as
• 35:05
  they
• 35:06
  go
• 35:06
  off
• 35:06
  into
• 35:06
  their
• 35:06
  next
• 35:07
  career
• 35:08
  doing
• 35:08
  this,
• 35:09
  they've
• 35:09
  learned
• 35:09
  the
• 35:10
  right
• 35:10
  way
• 35:10
  to
• 35:10
  do
• 35:10
  it,
• 35:11
  which
• 35:11
  is
• 35:11
  so
• 35:12
  much
• 35:12
  easier
• 35:13
  than
• 35:13
  having
• 35:13
  to
• 35:14
  get
• 35:14
  taught
• 35:14
  the
• 35:14
  right
• 35:14
  way
• 35:15
  when
• 35:15
  they
• 35:15

• 35:16
  on
• 35:16
  the
• 35:16

  even
• 35:18
  the

• 35:18

  doesn't
• 35:21
  fully
• 35:21
  understand
• 35:22
  the
• 35:22
  right
• 35:22
  way
• 35:23
  in
• 35:23
  some
• 35:23
  of
• 35:24
  these
• 35:24
  very
• 35:24
  important
• 35:24
  tasks
• 35:25
  in
• 35:25
  building
• 35:25
  a
• 35:25
  home.
• 35:26
  Yeah,
• 35:27
  I
• 35:27
  actually
• 35:27
  just
• 35:28
  had
• 35:28
  a
• 35:28
  teacher
• 35:29
  right
• 35:29
  before.
• 35:30
  Before
• 35:30
  I
• 35:30
  logged
• 35:31
  in
• 35:31
  here,
• 35:32
  sharing
• 35:33
  her
• 35:33
  contractor
• 35:34
  horror
• 35:34
  story
• 35:35
  and
• 35:35
  showing
• 35:36
  me
• 35:36
  many
• 35:36
  pictures
• 35:37
  on
• 35:37
  her
• 35:37
  phone.
• 35:37
  And
• 35:38
  it's.
• 35:39
  Sometimes
• 35:39
  it's
• 35:39
  just
• 35:40
  simple
• 35:40
  stuff,
• 35:40
  too.
• 35:41
  I
• 35:41
  mean,
• 35:41
  above
• 35:42
  and
• 35:42
  beyond
• 35:42
  even
• 35:43
  paying
• 35:43
  attention
• 35:43
  to
• 35:44
  all
• 35:44
  the
• 35:44
  details,
• 35:44
  but
• 35:45
  just
• 35:45
  leaving
• 35:45
  a
• 35:45
  clean
• 35:46
  work
• 35:46
  site,
• 35:46
  you
• 35:46
  know,
• 35:47
  to
• 35:47
  show
• 35:47
  that
• 35:47
  you
• 35:48
  have
• 35:48
  pride
• 35:48
  in
• 35:48
  what
• 35:48
  you're
• 35:49
  doing.
• 35:49
  And.
• 35:50
  And
• 35:50
  that's
• 35:51
  another
• 35:51
  thing
• 35:51
  that
• 35:52
  we
• 35:52
  try
• 35:52
  to
• 35:53
  promote
• 35:54
  with
• 35:54
  them
• 35:54
  is,
• 35:54
  you
• 35:55
  know,
• 35:55
  this
• 35:55
  is
• 35:55
  what
• 35:55
  a
• 35:55
  professional
• 35:56
  looks
• 35:56
  like.
• 35:56
  Yeah.
• 35:57
  You
• 35:57
  know,
• 35:57
  this.
• 35:58
  This
• 35:58
  is
• 35:58
  what
• 35:58
  a
• 35:58
  professional
• 35:59
  site
• 35:59
  looks
• 35:59
  like.
• 36:00
  You
• 36:00
  know,
• 36:00
  you
• 36:00
  clean
• 36:00
  things,
• 36:01
  you
• 36:01
  organize
• 36:02
  things,
• 36:02
  you.
• 36:03
  You
• 36:03
  handle
• 36:04
  things
• 36:04
  with
• 36:04
  care.
• 36:05
  You
• 36:05
  don't
• 36:05
  walk
• 36:06
  over
• 36:06
  the
• 36:06
  top
• 36:06
  of
• 36:06
  your
• 36:06
  siding
• 36:07
  when
• 36:07
  you're
• 36:07
  installing
• 36:08
  it.
• 36:08
  Right.
• 36:09
  I
• 36:09
  mean,
• 36:09
  we
• 36:10
  all
• 36:10
  have
• 36:10
  to
• 36:10
  learn
• 36:11
  sometime.
• 36:11
  And,
• 36:12
  you
• 36:12
  know,
• 36:12
  like,
• 36:13
  sightings
• 36:14
  different
• 36:14
  than
• 36:14
  framing,
• 36:15
  you
• 36:15
  know,
• 36:16
  finish
• 36:16
  is
• 36:17
  different
• 36:17
  than
• 36:17
  sighting.
• 36:18
  Exactly.
• 36:19
  All
• 36:19
  those
• 36:20
  details,
• 36:20
  which
• 36:20
  are
• 36:21
  awesome.
• 36:21
  Which
• 36:22
  are
• 36:22
  awesome.
• 36:22
  And
• 36:23
  that's.
• 36:23
  That's
• 36:23
  just
• 36:23
  the
• 36:24
  best
• 36:24
  practices
• 36:24
  for
• 36:25
  the
• 36:25
  kids
• 36:25
  to
• 36:25
  base
• 36:25
  the
• 36:25
  rest
• 36:26
  of
• 36:26
  their
• 36:26
  career
• 36:26
  off
• 36:26
  of.
• 36:26
  So
• 36:27
  it's
• 36:27
  awesome.
• 36:28
  It's
• 36:28
  awesome.
• 36:28
  Yeah.
• 36:29
  You
• 36:29
  know,
• 36:30
  that.
• 36:30
  That
• 36:30
  point
• 36:30
  was
• 36:31
  kind
• 36:31
  of
• 36:31
  driven
• 36:31
  home.
• 36:32
  We
• 36:32
  just.
• 36:32
  We
• 36:32
  took
• 36:32
  a
• 36:33
  field
• 36:33
  trip.
• 36:33
  Well,
• 36:33
  I've

  taken
• 36:34
  a

  couple
• 36:34

• 36:35
  here

• 36:36
  but
• 36:36
  last
• 36:36
  week
• 36:36
  we
• 36:37
  took
• 36:37
  a
• 36:37
  field
• 36:37
  trip
• 36:37
  to
• 36:38
  Cornelius
• 36:38
  Elementary
• 36:39
  School,
• 36:40
  which
• 36:40
  is
• 36:40
  being
• 36:40
  rebuilt.
• 36:42
  And
• 36:42
  the
• 36:42
  exciting
• 36:43
  thing
• 36:43
  about
• 36:43
  that
• 36:44
  is
• 36:44
  our.
• 36:45
  Our
• 36:45
  host
• 36:45
  for
• 36:45
  that
• 36:46
  field
• 36:46
  trip
• 36:46
  is
• 36:46
  a
• 36:46
  former
• 36:47
  Viking
• 36:47
  House
• 36:48
  member
• 36:49
  that's
• 36:49
  now
• 36:50
  construction
• 36:51
  engineer.
• 36:52
  And
• 36:53
  she
• 36:53
  was
• 36:53
  motivated
• 36:54
  to
• 36:54
  take
• 36:54
  that
• 36:54
  career
• 36:55
  path
• 36:55
  because
• 36:56
  of
• 36:56
  her
• 36:56
  time
• 36:56
  on
• 36:56
  the
• 36:56
  Viking
• 36:57
  House.
• 36:57
  And
• 36:57
  we
• 36:58
  went
• 36:58
  and
• 36:58
  we
• 36:58
  went
• 36:59
  and
• 36:59
  toured
• 36:59
  another
• 36:59
  school
• 37:00
  being
• 37:00
  built
• 37:00
  by
• 37:00
  another
• 37:01
  former
• 37:01
  Viking
• 37:02
  House
• 37:02
  student
• 37:03
  that
• 37:03
  was
• 37:03
  the
• 37:04
  construction
• 37:05
  site
• 37:05
  superintendent
• 37:06
  for
• 37:06
  a
• 37:06
  high
• 37:07
  school
• 37:07
  build.
• 37:08
  So
• 37:08
  we
• 37:08
  went
• 37:08
  and
• 37:09
  toured
• 37:09
  that,
• 37:09
  and
• 37:09
  then
• 37:10
  she
• 37:10
  was
• 37:10
  inspired
• 37:10
  by
• 37:11
  that
• 37:11
  and
• 37:11
  did
• 37:11
  the
• 37:11
  Oregon
• 37:12
  State
• 37:12
  program.
• 37:12
  And
• 37:13
  then
• 37:13
  now
• 37:13
  she's
• 37:13
  hosting
• 37:15
  her
• 37:15
  former
• 37:15
  high
• 37:16
  school
• 37:16
  in
• 37:16
  her
• 37:16
  hometown
• 37:18
  to
• 37:18
  tour
• 37:18
  the.
• 37:18
  The
• 37:19
  build
• 37:19
  that
• 37:19
  she's
• 37:20
  running.
• 37:20
  But
• 37:21
  it
• 37:22
  was
• 37:22
  cool
• 37:22
  just
• 37:22
  as
• 37:23
  we
• 37:23
  wandered
• 37:23
  through.
• 37:24
  You
• 37:25
  know,
• 37:25
  they
• 37:25
  have
• 37:25
  the
• 37:25
  same
• 37:25
  challenges
• 37:26
  that
• 37:26
  we
• 37:26
  do
• 37:26
  in
• 37:27
  residential
• 37:27
  construction.
• 37:28
  You
• 37:28
  know,
• 37:28
  things
• 37:29
  get
• 37:29
  missed.
• 37:29
  You
• 37:30
  know,
• 37:30
  materials,
• 37:31
  all
• 37:31
  the
• 37:31
  different
• 37:31
  stuff
• 37:32
  that
• 37:32
  you're
• 37:32
  fighting.
• 37:33
  Somebody's
• 37:34
  got
• 37:34
  to
• 37:34
  mind
• 37:34
  the
• 37:34
  store.
• 37:35
  And
• 37:35
  they
• 37:35
  were
• 37:36
  definitely
• 37:36
  experience
• 37:37
  a
• 37:37
  little
• 37:37
  bit
• 37:37
  of
• 37:37
  a
• 37:37
  material.
• 37:39
  You
• 37:39
  know,
• 37:39
  they
• 37:39
  were
• 37:39
  in
• 37:40
  the
• 37:40
  midst
• 37:40
  of
• 37:41
  resolving
• 37:41
  a
• 37:41
  material
• 37:42
  issue.
• 37:42
  But
• 37:42
  she
• 37:42
  was
• 37:43
  told
• 37:43
  Us
• 37:43
  how,
• 37:44
  how
• 37:44
  it
• 37:44
  came
• 37:44
  about
• 37:45
  and
• 37:45
  the
• 37:45
  things
• 37:45
  they
• 37:46
  tried
• 37:46
  and
• 37:46
  now
• 37:47
  what
• 37:47
  the
• 37:47
  remedy
• 37:48
  was.
• 37:48
  And
• 37:50
  you
• 37:51
  know,
• 37:51
  it
• 37:51
  was
• 37:51
  just.
• 37:52
  It
• 37:52
  was
• 37:52
  just
• 37:52
  on
• 37:52
  a
• 37:52
  bigger
• 37:53
  scale.
• 37:53
  Absolutely.
• 37:54
  But
• 37:55
  it's
• 37:56
  pretty
• 37:56
  awe
• 37:56
  inspiring
• 37:57
  to
• 37:57
  walk
• 37:57
  into
• 37:57
  a
• 37:58
  project
• 37:58
  that
• 37:58
  big.
• 37:58
  You
• 37:59
  know,
• 37:59
  having
• 37:59
  been
• 37:59
  a
• 37:59
  former
• 38:00
  superintendent.
• 38:01
  You
• 38:01
  know,
• 38:01
  you
• 38:01
  look
• 38:01
  at
• 38:01
  that
• 38:02
  stuff
• 38:02
  and
• 38:02
  you
• 38:02
  try
• 38:02
  to
• 38:02
  imagine
• 38:03
  running
• 38:03
  it
• 38:04
  and
• 38:04
  it's.
• 38:05
  It
• 38:06
  just
• 38:06
  seems
• 38:06
  like
• 38:07
  a.
• 38:07
  A
• 38:08
  whole
• 38:08
  different
• 38:08
  ball
• 38:08
  game.
• 38:09
  But
• 38:09
  they
• 38:09
  assure
• 38:10
  me
• 38:10
  it's
• 38:10
  not.
• 38:10
  But,
• 38:11
  you
• 38:12
  know,
• 38:12
  it
• 38:12
  feels
• 38:12
  that
• 38:12
  way.
• 38:13
  I
• 38:13
  tell
• 38:13
  you
• 38:13
  what,
• 38:13
  I
• 38:14
  mean,
• 38:14
  I
• 38:14
  did
• 38:14
  my
• 38:14
  biggest
• 38:15
  project
• 38:15
  I
• 38:15
  did
• 38:15
  in.
• 38:16
  In
• 38:16
  my
• 38:16
  kitchen
• 38:16
  of
• 38:16
  bath
• 38:17
  design
• 38:17
  stuff
• 38:17
  was
• 38:17
  I
• 38:18
  did
• 38:18
  a.
• 38:19
  A
• 38:20
  huge
• 38:20
  build
• 38:20
  in
• 38:20
  Bellevue,
• 38:21
  Washington
• 38:21
  that
• 38:22
  was
• 38:22
  a
• 38:22
  high
• 38:22
  rise
• 38:22
  that
• 38:22
  we
• 38:23
  did.
• 38:23
  What
• 38:24
  floor?
• 38:24
  28
• 38:25
  to
• 38:25
  40
• 38:25
  on
• 38:26
  that
• 38:26
  building.
• 38:27
  And
• 38:28
  oh
• 38:28
  my
• 38:28
  gosh,
• 38:28
  I
• 38:29
  did
• 38:29
  cabinetry
• 38:29
  for
• 38:30
  that
• 38:30
  whole
• 38:30
  thing.
• 38:30
  So
• 38:31
  I
• 38:31
  worked
• 38:31
  for
• 38:31
  a
• 38:31
  year
• 38:32
  on
• 38:33
  that
• 38:33
  project
• 38:33
  before
• 38:34
  we
• 38:34
  shipped
• 38:34
  the
• 38:34
  first
• 38:34
  cabinet
• 38:35
  part,
• 38:36
  you
• 38:36
  know.
• 38:37
  You
• 38:38
  know,
• 38:38
  and
• 38:39
  that
• 38:39
  was
• 38:39
  crazy.
• 38:40
  And
• 38:40
  that
• 38:40
  was
• 38:40
  the
• 38:40
  design,
• 38:42
  the
• 38:42
  redesign.
• 38:43
  I
• 38:43
  mean,
• 38:43
  it
• 38:44
  was
• 38:44
  literally
• 38:44
  a
• 38:44
  year
• 38:45
  of
• 38:45
  designing
• 38:46
  and
• 38:46
  meetings
• 38:47
  and
• 38:47
  everything
• 38:47
  else
• 38:48
  before
• 38:48
  we
• 38:48
  even
• 38:48
  started
• 38:49
  shipping
• 38:49
  parts.
• 38:49
  And
• 38:50
  then
• 38:51
  we
• 38:51
  had
• 38:51
  to
• 38:51
  use
• 38:51
  a
• 38:52
  helicopter
• 38:52
  to
• 38:53
  take
• 38:53
  the
• 38:53
  oven
• 38:53
  cabinets
• 38:54
  to
• 38:54
  put
• 38:54
  them
• 38:54
  on
• 38:54
  the
• 38:54
  roof
• 38:55
  because.
• 38:55
  Oh
• 38:56
  my
• 38:56
  gosh,
• 38:56
  I
• 38:57
  mean,
• 38:57
  so
• 38:58
  they
• 38:58
  could
• 38:58
  carry
• 38:58
  them
• 38:58
  down
• 38:59
  because
• 39:00
  they
• 39:00
  didn't
• 39:00
  want.
• 39:00
  Was
• 39:00
  that
• 39:01
  part
• 39:01
  of
• 39:01
  the
• 39:01
  original
• 39:01
  build?
• 39:02
  Well,
• 39:03
  yes,
• 39:03
  in
• 39:03
  a
• 39:04
  way
• 39:04
  it
• 39:04
  was.
• 39:05
  It
• 39:06
  was
• 39:06
  a
• 39:06
  great
• 39:06
  thing
• 39:06
  because
• 39:06
  we
• 39:07
  weren't
• 39:07
  a
• 39:07
  union
• 39:07
  shop,
• 39:07
  but
• 39:08
  it
• 39:08
  was
• 39:08
  a
• 39:08
  union
• 39:08
  build.
• 39:09
  So
• 39:09
  we
• 39:09
  brought
• 39:09
  the
• 39:10
  cabinets
• 39:10
  basically
• 39:11
  to
• 39:11
  the
• 39:11
  loading
• 39:12
  dock
• 39:12
  and
• 39:12
  they
• 39:12
  unloaded
• 39:13
  out
• 39:13
  of
• 39:13
  the
• 39:13
  truck.
• 39:14
  And
• 39:15
  because
• 39:15
  the
• 39:16
  hotel
• 39:16
  wanted
• 39:16
  to
• 39:17
  have
• 39:17
  the
• 39:17
  construction
• 39:18
  elevator
• 39:18
  taken
• 39:19
  down
• 39:19
  so
• 39:19
  they
• 39:19
  could
• 39:20
  rent
• 39:20
  out
• 39:20
  the
• 39:20
  hotel,
• 39:22
  the
• 39:22
  cabinets
• 39:22
  wouldn't
• 39:23
  fit
• 39:23
  into
• 39:23
  the
• 39:23
  residential
• 39:24
  elevators
• 39:24
  for
• 39:25
  the
• 39:25
  condos.
• 39:26
  And
• 39:26
  so
• 39:27
  they
• 39:27
  ended
• 39:27
  up
• 39:27
  putting
• 39:28
  them
• 39:28
  in
• 39:28
  a
• 39:28
  container
• 39:28
  and
• 39:29
  dropping
• 39:29
  them
• 39:29
  on
• 39:29
  the
• 39:29
  roof
• 39:30
  and
• 39:30
  unloading
• 39:30
  that
• 39:30
  up
• 39:31
  there
• 39:31
  and
• 39:32
  taking
• 39:33
  that
• 39:33
  off.
• 39:33
  And
• 39:33
  they
• 39:34
  had
• 39:34
  to
• 39:34
  carry
• 39:34
  these
• 39:34
  oven
• 39:35
  cabinets,
• 39:35
  double
• 39:35
  oven
• 39:36
  cabinets,
• 39:36
  down,
• 39:37
  down
• 39:37
  the
• 39:37
  stairs.
• 39:38
  And
• 39:38
  that
• 39:38
  was
• 39:38
  the
• 39:38
  most.
• 39:39
  That
• 39:39
  was
• 39:39
  the
• 39:39
  easiest
• 39:40
  way
• 39:40
  to
• 39:40
  do
• 39:40
  that.
• 39:41
  And
• 39:41
  I
• 39:41
  was
• 39:41
  just
• 39:41
  like,
• 39:42
  oh
• 39:42
  my
• 39:42
  gosh,
• 39:43
  most
• 39:43
  insane
• 39:44
  project
• 39:45
  delivery.
• 39:45
  Right?
• 39:47
  So,
• 39:47
  yeah,
• 39:49
  helicopter
• 39:50
  rooftop.
• 39:50
  I
• 39:50
  can't
• 39:50
  wait
• 39:51
  to
• 39:51
  see.
• 39:51
  Tell
• 39:51
  her
• 39:51
  no.
• 39:52
  Yeah,
• 39:52
  helicopter
• 39:53
  rooftop
• 39:53
  delivery.
• 39:54
  So
• 39:54
  it
• 39:55
  was
• 39:55
  nuts.
• 39:55
  Just
• 39:55
  pick
• 39:56
  those
• 39:56
  cabinets
• 39:57
  up,
• 39:57
  drop
• 39:57
  them
• 39:58
  right
• 39:58
  down.
• 39:58
  But
• 39:58
  yeah,
• 39:59
  that
• 39:59
  was,
• 39:59
  it
• 39:59
  was
• 39:59
  an
• 40:00
  interesting
• 40:00
  design.
• 40:00
  You
• 40:01
  know,
• 40:01
  there
• 40:01
  was
• 40:01
  a
• 40:02
  lot
• 40:02
  of
• 40:02
  weird
• 40:02
  stuff
• 40:02
  like
• 40:02
  that
• 40:03
  that
• 40:03
  you
• 40:03
  had
• 40:03
  to
• 40:03
  work
• 40:03
  through.
• 40:03
  That
• 40:04
  was
• 40:04
  just
• 40:04
  part
• 40:04
  of
• 40:04
  that
• 40:04
  design
• 40:05
  process.
• 40:05
  That
• 40:06
  was
• 40:06
  really
• 40:06
  cool.
• 40:07
  So
• 40:07
  I'm
• 40:07
  pitch.
• 40:08
  I'm
• 40:08
  picturing
• 40:09
  Colonel
• 40:09
  Kilbar
• 40:10
  saying,
• 40:11
  we're
• 40:11
  going
• 40:11
  to
• 40:11
  pick
• 40:11
  those
• 40:12
  cameras
• 40:12
  up
• 40:12
  somewhere.
• 40:14
  Absolutely,
• 40:15
  absolutely.
• 40:16
  I
• 40:17
  was
• 40:17
  just
• 40:17
  shaking
• 40:17
  my
• 40:17
  head
• 40:18
  going,
• 40:18
  this
• 40:18
  is.
• 40:18
  Is
• 40:18
  probably
• 40:19
  the
• 40:19
  nuttiest
• 40:19
  moment
• 40:20
  of
• 40:20
  My
• 40:20
  cabinetry
• 40:21
  career.
• 40:21
  Let's
• 40:21
  see
• 40:21
  what
• 40:22
  happens.
• 40:22
  You
• 40:22
  know,
• 40:23
  so.
• 40:23
  But
• 40:24
  you
• 40:24
  know,
• 40:24
  and
• 40:24
  that's
• 40:24
  just
• 40:24
  in
• 40:25
  the
• 40:25
  cabinet
• 40:25
  world
• 40:25
  and
• 40:25
  I
• 40:26
  know
• 40:26
  there's
• 40:26
  so
• 40:26
  many
• 40:26
  people
• 40:27
  out
• 40:27
  there
• 40:27
  that
• 40:27
  are
• 40:27
  doing
• 40:28
  those
• 40:28
  high
• 40:28
  schools
• 40:28
  and
• 40:29
  that
• 40:29
  are
• 40:29
  graduates
• 40:29
  of
• 40:29
  your
• 40:30
  program.
• 40:30
  That's
• 40:30
  awesome.
• 40:31
  And
• 40:31
  do
• 40:31
  you
• 40:31
  get
• 40:32
  a
• 40:32
  lot
• 40:32
  of.
• 40:32
  A
• 40:32
  lot
• 40:33
  of
• 40:33
  support
• 40:33
  from
• 40:33
  manufacturers
• 40:34
  out
• 40:34
  there
• 40:34
  as
• 40:34
  well?
• 40:35
  Do
• 40:35
  they.
• 40:35
  Do
• 40:35
  they
• 40:36
  help
• 40:36
  you
• 40:36
  guys
• 40:36
  a
• 40:36
  lot
• 40:37
  as
• 40:37
  far
• 40:37
  as
• 40:37
  getting
• 40:38
  materials
• 40:39
  and
• 40:39
  tools
• 40:39
  and
• 40:39
  working
• 40:39
  with
• 40:40
  you
• 40:40
  guys?
• 40:40
  Or
• 40:40
  is
• 40:40
  that.
• 40:40
  Are
• 40:40
  you
• 40:41
  guys
• 40:41
  pretty
• 40:41
  independent
• 40:41
  of
• 40:41
  that?
• 40:42
  Well,
• 40:43
  we
• 40:43
  welcome
• 40:43
  it.
• 40:44
  Some.
• 40:45
  Some.
• 40:45
  Yeah.
• 40:46
  So
• 40:47
  PAR
• 40:48
  has
• 40:48
  always
• 40:48
  helped
• 40:49
  us
• 40:49
  out
• 40:49
  a
• 40:49
  lot.
• 40:50
  Like
• 40:50
  they
• 40:50
  host
• 40:51
  our
• 40:51
  open
• 40:51
  house.
• 40:51
  They're
• 40:52
  great
• 40:52
  people
• 40:52
  and
• 40:53
  I,
• 40:53
  and
• 40:53
  I
• 40:53
  know
• 40:53
  that
• 40:54
  costs.
• 40:54
  That
• 40:54
  costs
• 40:55
  them
• 40:55
  a
• 40:55
  lot
• 40:55
  of
• 40:55
  money
• 40:55
  and
• 40:56
  they
• 40:56
  donate
• 40:56
  a
• 40:57
  lot
• 40:57
  of
• 40:57
  tools
• 40:57
  and
• 40:58
  things
• 40:58
  like
• 40:58
  that
• 40:58
  to
• 40:58
  it.
• 40:59
  They've
• 40:59
  been
• 40:59
  very
• 40:59
  supportive.
• 41:00
  Rotter
• 41:01
  Paint's
• 41:01
  been
• 41:02
  one
• 41:02
  of
• 41:02
  our
• 41:03
  most
• 41:03
  generous
• 41:04
  suppliers
• 41:04
  for
• 41:05
  years
• 41:05
  and
• 41:05
  years.
• 41:05
  They
• 41:06
  just.
• 41:07
  Hundreds
• 41:07
  of
• 41:08
  gallons,
• 41:09
  you
• 41:09
  know,
• 41:09
  because
• 41:10
  just.
• 41:10
  And
• 41:11
  they
• 41:11
  treat
• 41:11
  us
• 41:11
  like
• 41:12
  we're
• 41:12
  their
• 41:12
  biggest
• 41:13
  customer.
• 41:14
  That
• 41:14
  is
• 41:14
  great.
• 41:15
  That
• 41:15
  is
• 41:15
  great.
• 41:16
  Certainty
• 41:17
  Roofing
• 41:18
  has
• 41:18
  been
• 41:18
  real
• 41:18
  good.
• 41:19
  Stimson
• 41:20
  Lumber
• 41:21
  has
• 41:21
  donated
• 41:22
  our
• 41:22
  studs
• 41:23
  for
• 41:23
  many
• 41:23
  years
• 41:24
  in
• 41:24
  a
• 41:24
  row.
• 41:24
  So
• 41:25
  they'll
• 41:25
  send
• 41:25
  us
• 41:25
  out
• 41:25
  2
• 41:26
  units
• 41:26
  of
• 41:26
  studs
• 41:27
  and
• 41:27
  that
• 41:27
  really
• 41:27
  helps
• 41:27
  with
• 41:28
  our
• 41:28
  hybrid
• 41:28
  wall
• 41:28
  because
• 41:29
  they're
• 41:29
  a
• 41:29
  little.
• 41:30
  They're
• 41:30
  a
• 41:30
  little
• 41:30
  stud
• 41:31
  heavy
• 41:31
  because
• 41:32
  of
• 41:32
  the
• 41:32
  stagger
• 41:34
  that.
• 41:35
  I'm
• 41:36
  sure
• 41:36
  you've
• 41:36
  got
• 41:36
  a
• 41:37
  lot
• 41:37
  out
• 41:37
  there
• 41:37
  that
• 41:37
  are
• 41:37
  important
• 41:38
  so
• 41:38
  we
• 41:38
  won't.
• 41:39
  But
• 41:40
  those
• 41:40
  are
• 41:40
  big
• 41:40
  ones.
• 41:41
  Those
• 41:41
  are
• 41:41
  big
• 41:41
  ones.
• 41:41
  And,
• 41:42
  and
• 41:42
  so
• 41:43
  hint,
• 41:43
  hint
• 41:43
  to
• 41:44
  manufacturers
• 41:44
  out
• 41:45
  there
• 41:45
  if
• 41:45
  you
• 41:45
  want
• 41:45
  to
• 41:45
  get
• 41:46
  these
• 41:46
  products
• 41:47
  in
• 41:47
  these
• 41:47
  kids
• 41:47
  hands,
• 41:48
  you
• 41:48
  know,
• 41:49
  reach
• 41:49
  out
• 41:49
  to
• 41:49
  Chris
• 41:50
  to
• 41:50
  see
• 41:50
  how
• 41:50
  you
• 41:50
  guys
• 41:51
  can
• 41:51
  partner
• 41:51
  together.
• 41:51
  Because
• 41:52
  everybody
• 41:53
  wins
• 41:53
  in
• 41:53
  that.
• 41:53
  Because
• 41:54
  that
• 41:55
  they
• 41:55
  get
• 41:55
  to
• 41:55
  play
• 41:56
  with
• 41:56
  new
• 41:56
  stuff
• 41:56
  and
• 41:57
  get
• 41:57
  introduced
• 41:58
  to
• 41:58
  new
• 41:58
  stuff
• 41:58
  and
• 41:59
  you
• 41:59
  get
• 41:59
  to
• 42:00
  put
• 42:00
  it
• 42:00
  in
• 42:00
  a
• 42:00
  beautiful
• 42:00
  house.
• 42:01
  Yeah,
• 42:02
  that's
• 42:02
  all.
• 42:02
  Appreciate.
• 42:03
  All
• 42:03
  helps,
• 42:04
  you
• 42:04
  know,
• 42:04
  because
• 42:04
  we,
• 42:05
  we
• 42:05
  give
• 42:06
  scholarships
• 42:06
  and
• 42:06
  things
• 42:07
  like
• 42:07
  that
• 42:07
  too.
• 42:08
  And
• 42:08
  the
• 42:09
  kids
• 42:09
  all
• 42:09
  vote
• 42:09
  on
• 42:10
  it.
• 42:10
  We
• 42:10
  give
• 42:10
  a
• 42:10
  little
• 42:10
  MVP
• 42:11
  award,
• 42:11
  you
• 42:11
  know,
• 42:12
  which
• 42:12
  is
• 42:12
  usually
• 42:12
  like
• 42:12
  a
• 42:12
  cordless
• 42:13
  kid
• 42:13
  of
• 42:13
  some
• 42:14
  sort.
• 42:14
  Get
• 42:15
  a
• 42:15
  kid
• 42:15
  started
• 42:15
  with
• 42:15
  a
• 42:16
  good
• 42:16
  quality
• 42:16
  one.
• 42:16
  And
• 42:17
  PAR
• 42:17
  usually
• 42:17
  donates
• 42:18
  that.
• 42:18
  And
• 42:18
  then
• 42:19
  this
• 42:19
  year
• 42:20
  they
• 42:20
  also
• 42:20
  covered
• 42:21
  my
• 42:21
  scholarship.
• 42:22
  So
• 42:22
  nice.
• 42:23
  We'll
• 42:23
  give
• 42:23
  a
• 42:23
  scholarship
• 42:24
  that
• 42:24
  the
• 42:24
  kids
• 42:24
  also
• 42:25
  vote
• 42:25
  on.
• 42:25
  Has
• 42:25
  a
• 42:26
  little
• 42:26
  different
• 42:26
  criteria,
• 42:27
  but
• 42:28
  we
• 42:28
  try
• 42:28
  to
• 42:28
  recognize.
• 42:29
  Let
• 42:29
  them
• 42:29
  recognize
• 42:30
  one
• 42:30
  of
• 42:30
  their
• 42:30
  peers
• 42:31
  every
• 42:31
  year.
• 42:32
  Yeah.
• 42:32
  In
• 42:33
  each
• 42:33
  category.
• 42:34
  That
• 42:34
  is
• 42:34
  so
• 42:34
  smart.
• 42:35
  That
• 42:35
  is
• 42:35
  so
• 42:35
  smart.
• 42:36
  Well,
• 42:36
  we're
• 42:36
  running
• 42:36
  out
• 42:36
  of
• 42:36
  time,
• 42:37
  Chris.
• 42:37
  And
• 42:37
  you
• 42:37
  got
• 42:38
  a
• 42:38
  class
• 42:38
  to
• 42:38
  teach
• 42:38
  here
• 42:38
  coming
• 42:39
  up
• 42:39
  pretty
• 42:39
  soon.
• 42:39
  But
• 42:40
  what's
• 42:40
  the.
• 42:41
  What's
• 42:41
  the
• 42:41
  best
• 42:41
  way
• 42:42
  for
• 42:42
  people
• 42:43
  to
• 42:43
  find
• 42:43
  out
• 42:43
  about
• 42:43
  Your
• 42:44
  program
• 42:44
  and
• 42:44
  to
• 42:44
  get
• 42:45
  a
• 42:45
  hold
• 42:45
  of
• 42:45
  you
• 42:45
  guys
• 42:45
  because
• 42:45
  I
• 42:45
  know
• 42:46
  you
• 42:46
  guys
• 42:46
  have
• 42:46
  such
• 42:46
  a
• 42:46
  great
• 42:47
  legacy.
• 42:47
  Well,
• 42:48
  they
• 42:48
  can
• 42:48
  look
• 42:48
  for
• 42:48
  us
• 42:49
  on
• 42:49
  Facebook,
• 42:50
  but
• 42:50
  also
• 42:51
  we
• 42:51
  have
• 42:51
  probably
• 42:52
  the
• 42:52
  best
• 42:52
  ways.
• 42:52
  Our
• 42:53
  website,
• 42:54
  so
• 42:54
  that's
• 42:55
  FGHS,
• 42:56
  stands
• 42:57
  for
• 42:57
  Forest
• 42:57
  Grove
• 42:58
  High
• 42:58
  School,
• 42:59
  VikingHouse.com
• 43:01
  and
• 43:01
  they
• 43:01
  can
• 43:01
  see
• 43:02
  every
• 43:02
  house
• 43:02
  we've
• 43:02
  ever
• 43:03
  built.
• 43:04
  They
• 43:04
  can
• 43:04
  see
• 43:05
  information
• 43:05
  about
• 43:06
  upcoming
• 43:07
  events.
• 43:09
  Heck,
• 43:09
  they
• 43:09
  can
• 43:09
  even
• 43:10
  order
• 43:10
  gear.
• 43:10
  See,
• 43:11
  There
• 43:11
  we
• 43:11
  go.
• 43:12
  There
• 43:12
  we
• 43:12
  go.
• 43:13
  Thank
• 43:13
  you
• 43:13
  so
• 43:13
  much
• 43:14
  for
• 43:14
  having
• 43:14
  me.
• 43:14
  Having
• 43:15
  us.
• 43:15
  Yeah.
• 43:16
  To
• 43:16
  talk
• 43:17
  about
• 43:17
  our
• 43:17
  program,
• 43:18
  we.
• 43:19
  One
• 43:19
  thing
• 43:19
  I
• 43:20
  might
• 43:20
  mention
• 43:20
  is
• 43:20
  we
• 43:21
  took
• 43:21
  a
• 43:21
  field
• 43:21
  trip
• 43:21
  yesterday
• 43:22
  to
• 43:22
  the
• 43:22
  street
• 43:22
  of
• 43:23
  Dreams.
• 43:23
  Nice.
• 43:24
  That's
• 43:24
  always
• 43:24
  a
• 43:24
  good
• 43:24
  one
• 43:25
  to
• 43:25
  see
• 43:25
  it
• 43:25
  under
• 43:25
  construction.
• 43:26
  You
• 43:26
  know,
• 43:27
  just
• 43:27
  the
• 43:27
  complexity
• 43:28
  and
• 43:28
  all
• 43:28
  the.
• 43:29
  All
• 43:29
  the
• 43:29
  subs
• 43:29
  running
• 43:30
  around.
• 43:30
  It
• 43:31
  makes
• 43:31
  an
• 43:31
  impression
• 43:32
  too,
• 43:32
  because,
• 43:32
  you
• 43:32
  know,
• 43:32
  they're
• 43:33
  three
• 43:33
  times
• 43:33
  the
• 43:33
  size
• 43:34
  of
• 43:34
  what
• 43:34
  we're
• 43:34
  building.
• 43:34
  Multiple
• 43:35
  stories.
• 43:35
  It's
• 43:36
  the
• 43:36
  same,
• 43:36
  but
• 43:36
  different,
• 43:37
  right?
• 43:37
  It's
• 43:37
  the
• 43:38
  same,
• 43:38
  but
• 43:38
  different.
• 43:39
  We
• 43:39
  just
• 43:39
  don't
• 43:39
  have
• 43:39
  an
• 43:40
  elevator.
• 43:40
  Yeah,
• 43:40
  exactly.
• 43:42
  Or
• 43:42
  steep
• 43:42
  roof
• 43:43
  like
• 43:43
  that
• 43:44
  too.
• 43:44
  Yeah,
• 43:45
  yeah.
• 43:45
  So
• 43:46
  I
• 43:46
  had
• 43:46
  an
• 43:46
  email
• 43:46
  this
• 43:47
  morning
• 43:47
  and
• 43:47
  it
• 43:48
  looks
• 43:48
  like
• 43:48
  we
• 43:48
  might
• 43:48
  be
• 43:49
  part
• 43:49
  of
• 43:49
  the
• 43:49
  street
• 43:50
  of
• 43:50
  Dreams
• 43:50
  tour
• 43:51
  this
• 43:51
  year.
• 43:51
  Still
• 43:52
  trying
• 43:52
  to
• 43:52
  work
• 43:52
  those
• 43:52
  details
• 43:53
  out.
• 43:53
  That
• 43:53
  would
• 43:54
  be
• 43:54
  great.
• 43:54
  That
• 43:55
  would
• 43:55
  be
• 43:55
  great.
• 43:55
  Anyway,
• 43:56
  look
• 43:56
  for
• 43:56
  us
• 43:56
  there
• 43:56
  maybe.
• 43:57
  Absolutely.
• 43:58
  Absolutely.
• 43:59
  Chris,
• 44:00
  thanks,
• 44:00
  brother.
• 44:01
  I
• 44:01
  appreciate
• 44:01
  what
• 44:01
  you're
• 44:02
  doing
• 44:02
  out
• 44:02
  there
• 44:02
  for
• 44:03
  the
• 44:03
  next
• 44:03
  generation
• 44:04
  of
• 44:06
  trades
• 44:06
  people
• 44:07
  out
• 44:07
  there.
• 44:07
  And
• 44:07
  you
• 44:07
  guys
• 44:08
  have
• 44:08
  just
• 44:08
  a
• 44:08
  great
• 44:09
  gold
• 44:09
  standard
• 44:09
  program
• 44:10
  out
• 44:10
  there.
• 44:10
  Keep
• 44:10
  it
• 44:11
  up.
• 44:11
  And
• 44:12
  anybody
• 44:12

• 44:12

• 44:14

• 44:14

• 44:14

• 44:15
  that
• 44:15

• 44:16
  like
• 44:16
  to
• 44:16
  be
• 44:16
  a
• 44:16
  part
• 44:16
  of
• 44:17

• 44:21
