- 0:01Speaker 1: Welcome to a meeting of the minds crafted from decades
- 0:05Speaker 1: of talk show experience, an extension of the magic they've
- 0:08Speaker 1: created together on radio in the phenomenon called M & M,
- 0:13Speaker 1: hot topics in the news and wisdom from life. It's
- 0:16Speaker 1: Mark Davis and Mike Gallagher. This is M & M Extra.
- 0:22Speaker 2: That it is, everybody. Come on in. It is a Friday.
- 0:26Speaker 2: So every once in a while, this is going to happen.
- 0:28Speaker 2: It's Theme Friday. Sometimes they'll be lighthearted or just something
- 0:33Speaker 2: plucked from the tree of ancillary topics. We did electric
- 0:37Speaker 2: car and full service driving Friday. This one is kind
- 0:40Speaker 2: of an overall thematic thing. But before we get into that,
- 0:43Speaker 2: let's make sure that everybody knows that every episode is
- 0:46Speaker 2: from the good, good people at Preborn, our title sponsor.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Preborn helps everybody stand for life today by joining us
- 0:52Speaker 2: and providing free ultrasounds to girls and women. You'll double
- 0:56Speaker 2: the likelihood she will choose life by going to 833-850-BABY, 833-850-BABY,
- 0:59Speaker 2: or preborn.com slash MMXtra.
- 1:00Speaker 3: We thank them.
- 1:06Speaker 2: And Mike, we thank you. It's been great to have
- 1:08Speaker 2: you back here for the end of this week for
- 1:10Speaker 2: what is now Establishment Friday. How the Republicans are dealing
- 1:15Speaker 2: with their establishment, how the Democrats are dealing with theirs.
- 1:18Speaker 2: And they're two very, very different stories for reasons I
- 1:22Speaker 2: will describe a little later on.
- 1:25Speaker 3: I like this theme idea. I like taking something that,
- 1:28Speaker 3: and we've got to put a little bit of thought
- 1:29Speaker 3: into it. And incidentally, if you want to send us
- 1:32Speaker 3: a text or an email or give us some feedback,
- 1:34Speaker 3: you know how to get a hold of Mark. Mark's
- 1:37Speaker 3: easy to reach, right? Your email, easy email address for
- 1:40Speaker 3: you is?
- 1:40Speaker 2: MarkDavisShow at gmail.com. MarkDavisShow at gmail.com. Or just shoot me
- 1:44Speaker 2: a Twitter DM there, at Mark Davis. Those work too.
- 1:48Speaker 3: And I'm at Gallagher Show on X at Gallagher Show.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Send me a DM or a text there or email
- 1:54Speaker 3: address is Mike at Mike online dot com. But you've
- 1:58Speaker 3: you've gotten me thinking about these establishment Republicans and how.
- 2:02Speaker 3: how really dangerous they are to what's going to happen
- 2:05Speaker 3: November the 3rd. To me, I am so focused like
- 2:09Speaker 3: a laser on the midterm elections. I see good news
- 2:14Speaker 3: in polling. I see bad news in polling. We've seen
- 2:17Speaker 3: polls that suggest that the Democrats might actually collapse if
- 2:23Speaker 3: they can kind of continue the path they're on. We've
- 2:26Speaker 3: seen other polls that suggest that they're going to win.
- 2:29Speaker 3: We're going to take a thumping. And it's all over
- 2:32Speaker 3: the road, Mark. There's no consistency whatsoever. But I am really,
- 2:37Speaker 3: really hoping and praying that we don't lose. In fact,
- 2:41Speaker 3: can we talk a little bit before we kick off
- 2:43Speaker 3: what these establishment guys are up to? And gals, perhaps.
- 2:47Speaker 3: Can we can I roll out for you, Bill O'Reilly?
- 2:51Speaker 3: You know, Bill, I used to appear regularly on The
- 2:55Speaker 3: Factor on on Fox News, and you're now a big
- 2:58Speaker 3: time regular TV guy over there at Fox. News Nation
- 3:02Speaker 3: and doing your stuff with Will Kane in the afternoons
- 3:06Speaker 3: on Fox News Channel. Bill's no spin news had a
- 3:10Speaker 3: dire warning about what's going to happen if Democrats take
- 3:15Speaker 3: control of the Senate and the House. I want to
- 3:18Speaker 3: share with you what Mr. O'Reilly had to say, because
- 3:21Speaker 3: this ought to get everybody, everybody's attention.
- 3:25Speaker 4: If the Democrats win the Senate and the House, it's
- 3:28Speaker 4: over for President Trump.
- 3:31Speaker 5: Over.
- 3:33Speaker 4: Because they'll impeach him, they'll sue him, every two minutes
- 3:38Speaker 4: there'll be something else, and nothing will ever get passed.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Nothing.
- 3:44Speaker 4: So it'll be two years of, let's get Trump.
- 3:48Speaker 3: That's what'll happen.
- 3:50Speaker 4: And that's what the media wants, and that's what the
- 3:52Speaker 4: Democratic Party wants. The Democratic Party's not going to do
- 3:54Speaker 4: anything but attack Trump. So that's not even a hard analysis.
- 4:00Speaker 4: We know that will happen. If there's a split and
- 4:06Speaker 4: the Senate goes for the Republicans, not a blunt impeachment
- 4:12Speaker 4: because you need two-thirds of the Senate, he's not going
- 4:17Speaker 4: to get impeached and convicted anyway, Trump.
- 4:20Speaker 3: So it's not the votes there.
- 4:24Speaker 4: So this thing is very personal for Donald Trump because
- 4:29Speaker 4: he's got to know that the Republicans have got to take.
- 4:34Speaker 3: At least one house.
- 4:35Speaker 4: He has to. Or his whole legacy blows up. He
- 4:39Speaker 4: goes down like LBJ, Lyndon Johnson. I don't know if
- 4:44Speaker 4: the president makes that comparison, but if he reads my book,
- 4:47Speaker 4: Confronting the Presidents, it's exactly the same. Vietnam War destroyed LBJ,
- 4:52Speaker 4: who was corrupt anyway. He was corrupt from the jump,
- 4:56Speaker 4: one of our worst presidents. So right now, Iran unresolved.
- 5:01Speaker 4: Consumer prices high. Not crazy high, but high. Making people
- 5:10Speaker 4: not happy. And those are the things that the Republican
- 5:16Speaker 4: Party and President Trump have to improve.
- 5:21Speaker 3: So, Mark, I don't want to pretend we're not facing headwinds.
- 5:24Speaker 3: We are. And he's kind of right. And I think
- 5:27Speaker 3: he is right. And if we lose the House and
- 5:30Speaker 3: the Senate, it's over. It is going to be over
- 5:33Speaker 3: for the Trump agenda. You're going to see everything come
- 5:36Speaker 3: crashing to a halt. So with that backdrop in mind,
- 5:42Speaker 3: why wouldn't even establishment Republicans move heaven and earth— To
- 5:47Speaker 3: prevent that outcome from occurring, could it be, and you've
- 5:51Speaker 3: suggested this to me and you've got me thinking about it,
- 5:53Speaker 3: and I deeply respect your take on this, could it
- 5:57Speaker 3: be that that's what they want? They want MAGA to
- 6:01Speaker 3: be put out of its misery. They want to destroy MAGA.
- 6:04Speaker 2: Yes, and that's more important than the country. It's more
- 6:07Speaker 2: important than what's good here in our state of Texas
- 6:10Speaker 2: or for the country. Obviously, the Tallarico-Paxton race is just one,
- 6:14Speaker 2: but every Senate race really matters, and Reno Rogers and
- 6:17Speaker 2: Abdul El-Sayed really matters in Michigan. But the establishment toadies,
- 6:22Speaker 2: these dinosaurs who have had a very rough decade since
- 6:26Speaker 2: their brand of leadership has been shown to the curb–
- 6:30Speaker 2: They are filled with self-absorption and narcissism and the bloodlust
- 6:36Speaker 2: of revenge. And they would be perfectly, perfectly fine if
- 6:39Speaker 2: Paxton lost. Perfectly, perfectly fine if Democrats won back the
- 6:43Speaker 2: Senate so that they could then turn to all of
- 6:46Speaker 2: us and say, you MAGA people, you grassroots conservatives, we
- 6:50Speaker 2: show you. This is what you get when you dare
- 6:53Speaker 2: to differ from the Mitt Romney, John McCain, John Cornyn
- 6:58Speaker 2: style of leadership that we insist upon. So how are
- 7:01Speaker 2: you liking it? And my message to all of them
- 7:03Speaker 2: is if you do this to us, if Tallarico wins
- 7:06Speaker 2: in Texas because some of these malcontents and foot draggers
- 7:10Speaker 2: have been successful in damaging Paxton– Oh, we'll endure those
- 7:14Speaker 2: six years of Tallarico. But when we come back, you
- 7:16Speaker 2: think we're going to give you a Mitt Romney, John
- 7:19Speaker 2: McCain clone? We're going to give you somebody who's so MAGA,
- 7:22Speaker 2: who makes Paxton look like Tallarico. We're going to make
- 7:24Speaker 2: you like it because then maybe you'll understand why we
- 7:27Speaker 2: sought those changes in the first place.
- 7:29Speaker 3: They should be understanding that now. They should understand that
- 7:32Speaker 3: today and they don't. Would you consider Senator John Kennedy
- 7:36Speaker 3: one of these establishment toadies? It's funny.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Not fully, but he's establishment adjacent. Listen, the last 10
- 7:45Speaker 2: clips you can find of Senator Kennedy are him being
- 7:47Speaker 2: folksy and down home and funny and really good and
- 7:51Speaker 2: conservative and, you know, and I really like him. But
- 7:54Speaker 2: it's clear that as soon as he gets to that
- 7:56Speaker 2: thing about, well, we just don't have the money. We
- 7:59Speaker 2: just don't. Hey, like any household, you have the money
- 8:02Speaker 2: for what you want to do. Oh, first of all,
- 8:05Speaker 2: first of all, there is your heart.
- 8:07Speaker 3: Spare me. They don't have the money. I want to
- 8:09Speaker 3: play the clip of Louisiana Senator John Kennedy on Fox
- 8:13Speaker 3: News from Sunday. I want you to hear him lay
- 8:15Speaker 3: out the concerns they have about it. able to afford
- 8:20Speaker 3: helping Ken Paxton in the state of Texas. I mean,
- 8:23Speaker 3: how many reports have we seen about how the Republican
- 8:27Speaker 3: Party is just rich with cash right now? The Republican
- 8:33Speaker 3: coffers are full. You've got PACs everywhere. You've got MAGA PACs.
- 8:38Speaker 3: You've got Trump's PACs. You've got the RNC. You've got
- 8:42Speaker 3: the Republican Senatorial Committee. You've got nothing but your flush, right?
- 8:48Speaker 3: But not according to John Kennedy. Check out his reservations
- 8:52Speaker 3: about being able to help James Tallarico's opponent, Ken Paxton,
- 8:59Speaker 3: the Republican attorney general in the great state of Texas.
- 9:02Speaker 6: It didn't sound from his answer that the president made
- 9:05Speaker 6: any commitments, either himself or through his super PAC, to
- 9:09Speaker 6: write checks for Paxton, at least right now. Does Senate
- 9:13Speaker 6: Leadership Fund or NRSC have any plans for TV ads
- 9:19Speaker 6: to support him? Because he's down in spending there.
- 9:24Speaker 5: Well, I listened to your interview. It was very good,
- 9:26Speaker 5: by the way, with the attorney general. Look, there's no
- 9:30Speaker 5: sense bubble wrapping it. We've got a race in Texas.
- 9:36Speaker 5: And the attorney general is going to have to do
- 9:38Speaker 5: two things. He's going to have to point out the
- 9:41Speaker 5: deficiencies of Mr.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Tavarico.
- 9:44Speaker 5: He really is a Lulu Lennon, and he's a little
- 9:49Speaker 5: bit of a weenie. But at the same time, Mr.
- 9:53Speaker 5: Paxton is going to have to talk about what he's
- 9:55Speaker 5: going to do, a positive platform for the United States Senate.
- 10:00Speaker 5: You can't win an election by saying the other guy's
- 10:02Speaker 5: worse than me. Money is an issue.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Mr.
- 10:06Speaker 5: Tallarico has been raising bucket loads of money from California, Hollywood,
- 10:12Speaker 5: all the beautiful people who partied with Harvey Weinstein. We
- 10:17Speaker 5: in the Senate don't have the money budgeted for Texas.
- 10:20Speaker 3: We need help from the president.
- 10:22Speaker 5: The president says he has $ 850 million in his campaign accounts.
- 10:29Speaker 3: That's a lot of jack.
- 10:31Speaker 5: I'm hoping that the president's going to spend $ 100 or
- 10:33Speaker 5: $ 200 million in Texas, but he hasn't committed to it yet.
- 10:38Speaker 5: But in the meantime, we've got a race, and I'm
- 10:42Speaker 5: not going to play act and say that we don't.
- 10:46Speaker 3: You know, he's a wordsmith, and I want to parse
- 10:48Speaker 3: his words very carefully. We don't have the money in
- 10:52Speaker 3: the Senate. We don't have the money budgeted for Texas.
- 10:56Speaker 2: They have the money. They just haven't devoted it to
- 10:59Speaker 2: a place where they don't want to spend it.
- 11:01Speaker 3: He's admitting it, Mark. He's admitting that they just don't
- 11:05Speaker 3: see Ken Paxton as a priority. I've actually had people,
- 11:09Speaker 3: when I first posted this on X the other day,
- 11:11Speaker 3: and by the way, I want to share my quick
- 11:14Speaker 3: X nightmare story. I logged myself out of X. It
- 11:18Speaker 3: took me two days to get back in.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Well, why did you log yourself out?
- 11:23Speaker 3: Well, it's a long story. It has to do with
- 11:27Speaker 3: the two-factor authentication that Twitter does, that X does. And
- 11:33Speaker 3: they weren't sending me the code. And so then I
- 11:37Speaker 3: had to go try to figure out a way to
- 11:39Speaker 3: get the– long story short, I had to get an
- 11:43Speaker 3: authenticator app. In order to get the two-factor authentication. It's
- 11:48Speaker 3: a disaster. And it was at a point yesterday, that
- 11:52Speaker 3: was the second day, or Wednesday rather, where I had
- 11:55Speaker 3: to take two full days of my life. To try
- 11:58Speaker 3: to get back on X. It was great. It was
- 12:00Speaker 3: hours and hours. It was like an episode of Punk'd.
- 12:03Speaker 3: I thought this is all rigged against me. But anyway,
- 12:06Speaker 3: I posted this about John Kennedy. And I said– I
- 12:10Speaker 3: posted that clip and I said, you know, if I
- 12:12Speaker 3: didn't know better, I think he wants us to lose.
- 12:15Speaker 3: And people just blew up my– My comment pointing out
- 12:21Speaker 3: this is a disaster for John Kennedy to say that.
- 12:25Speaker 3: It's wrong. And you know what people were actually saying?
- 12:28Speaker 3: It's so wild that they wouldn't budget for Texas. People
- 12:32Speaker 3: were surmising, well, maybe they just know Paxton has it
- 12:36Speaker 3: in the bag. He's so far ahead in the internal polling.
- 12:40Speaker 3: He doesn't need any support.
- 12:41Speaker 7: No, no, no.
- 12:42Speaker 3: Nice try. I know. But doesn't that show you how
- 12:45Speaker 3: people are so willing to bend over backwards to try
- 12:47Speaker 3: to figure this out? It absolutely does.
- 12:49Speaker 2: And people are bending toward another false narrative where people–
- 12:52Speaker 2: you know Mark Thiessen, former Bush speechwriter? Sure do. And
- 12:56Speaker 2: I like him a lot. He's right on so many things.
- 12:59Speaker 2: He's got a big bug up his butt about this.
- 13:01Speaker 2: He says, hey, Texas, you made this problem. You know,
- 13:04Speaker 2: you morons who decided to go with an uncertain, risky candidate.
- 13:09Speaker 2: And now you've got a race that corner. You had
- 13:11Speaker 2: the chance to have a I love this distinguished, a
- 13:15Speaker 2: distinguished senator. Oh, he's distinguished.
- 13:18Speaker 3: Well, indeed.
- 13:19Speaker 2: So he distinguished himself by for years and years and
- 13:22Speaker 2: years of being an unfit MAGA era warrior. And he
- 13:25Speaker 2: was shown the door by real voters. And Mark Thiessen
- 13:29Speaker 2: can't handle it. And Eric Erickson can't handle it. Cornyn
- 13:32Speaker 2: himself can't handle it. And doggone it, we're going to
- 13:34Speaker 2: give it right to him on November 3rd because Paxton
- 13:37Speaker 2: is going to win. And boy, is that morally necessary
- 13:41Speaker 2: now so that these people can be taught a lesson
- 13:44Speaker 2: of their own. But the mythology, and I'll stop. is
- 13:47Speaker 2: that if Cornyn had won, that it would just be
- 13:50Speaker 2: a breeze. He'd be up by 12 in the polls.
- 13:52Speaker 3: No, he wouldn't.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Every conservative in Texas would be suicidal if Cornyn won.
- 13:57Speaker 2: And they're like, oh, no, six more years of this?
- 14:01Speaker 2: And Cornyn would have presented his own type of challenge.
- 14:04Speaker 3: Well, you said something that's so important and crucial to
- 14:09Speaker 3: understanding why we are where we are. From the day
- 14:12Speaker 3: that Trump came down the golden escalator, I have said
- 14:16Speaker 3: They don't hate him. They hate his movement. They don't
- 14:19Speaker 3: hate Trump individually, just Trump. I mean, they do hate him,
- 14:23Speaker 3: but it's not just about him. It's not just about him.
- 14:26Speaker 3: It's about the America First MAGA movement that he created.
- 14:31Speaker 3: They hate the voters. And you just pointed out with
- 14:34Speaker 3: Mark Thiessen, who I like, too. Yes. But he revealed himself.
- 14:39Speaker 3: He exposed himself as admitting he's resentful of the actual voters.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Don't forget, Ken Paxton bumped off John Cornyn. John, it
- 14:48Speaker 3: was the most expensive Senate race in history. There was
- 14:53Speaker 3: hundreds of millions of dollars spent on that race.
- 14:56Speaker 2: And spending that money was fine, by the way.
- 14:59Speaker 3: Oh, sure. That's that's that's something we'll budget for. We'll
- 15:02Speaker 3: budget for that race. We're not going to budget for
- 15:05Speaker 3: Ken Paxton. We'll just budget for John Cornyn. But the
- 15:08Speaker 3: contempt they have, the establishment contempt is for you and me, Mark.
- 15:13Speaker 3: It's for the voters. It's for the American people who
- 15:16Speaker 3: didn't vote the way they wanted us to vote. And therefore,
- 15:21Speaker 3: I mean, I think it was Jonah Goldberg who once said,
- 15:23Speaker 3: what's the old quote? It's a paraphrase. The people I
- 15:26Speaker 3: think it was Ed Koch said. The mayor of New
- 15:28Speaker 3: York who once said the people have spoken in voting
- 15:31Speaker 3: a way that I didn't like it. Now the people
- 15:34Speaker 3: must be punished. That's that's the attitude.
- 15:38Speaker 2: That they're looking to punish us. And they're and they're
- 15:41Speaker 2: looking to. Exact some level of pain for what we
- 15:46Speaker 2: have done. I don't know if Relief Factor will solve
- 15:49Speaker 2: that pain, Mike, but it certainly has solved your back
- 15:51Speaker 2: pain and my arm rotator cuff issue. And if people
- 15:54Speaker 2: go to ReliefFactor.com or 1-800-4-RELIEF, you can get for $ 17. 76.
- 16:00Speaker 2: That very same relief that I've enjoyed for a few
- 16:03Speaker 2: weeks and you've enjoyed for years. And we're just so
- 16:06Speaker 2: glad to be able to offer this to people, many
- 16:08Speaker 2: of whom are finding out that they did not need
- 16:09Speaker 2: to be on prescriptions forever and they did not need
- 16:11Speaker 2: those particular surgeries. Relief Factor deserves a shot in your life.
- 16:16Speaker 3: Mark, your cheese factor in doing these transitions is off
- 16:19Speaker 3: the charts today. It's on an epic level. I'm just
- 16:22Speaker 3: getting warmed up. Just getting warmed up.
- 16:24Speaker 7: Kudos.
- 16:25Speaker 3: Hey, don't hate the player. Hate the game. Or hate
- 16:28Speaker 3: the game, hate the player, whatever. Good for you. Relieffactor.com, 100%
- 16:32Speaker 3: drug-free pain relief that goes to work on the inflammation
- 16:35Speaker 3: that causes back, leg, shoulder, neck pain. Mark is out
- 16:39Speaker 3: playing now with Chauncey and with Wilhelmina, throwing that tennis
- 16:44Speaker 3: ball with those two dogs, the love of his life.
- 16:47Speaker 3: The loves of he and Lisa's lives. If he can
- 16:50Speaker 3: throw a tennis ball with the dogs, I'm out there
- 16:52Speaker 3: running around. I was in Maine this past week, and
- 16:55Speaker 3: we did a bunch of sightseeing. We went and saw
- 16:57Speaker 3: lighthouses and climbed up and down steps. I have my
- 17:00Speaker 3: relief factor with me. It works. 1-800-4-RELIEF is the toll-free
- 17:07Speaker 3: number for you to call to take the three-week quick start.
- 17:10Speaker 3: 1776 is all it costs in honor of America's 250th. 800-4-RELIEF, 800-4-RELIEF,
- 17:16Speaker 3: or visit relieffactor.com, relieffactor.com, and order your first three-week quick
- 17:21Speaker 3: start of Relief Factor. I have no magical way to
- 17:26Speaker 3: transition into Echol other than to say I'm glad that
- 17:29Speaker 3: a platform came along. that is a TV, movie, daily
- 17:34Speaker 3: devotional place where you get shows that you want to
- 17:38Speaker 3: watch with your kids, with your grandkids, your friends, and
- 17:41Speaker 3: your neighbors. Hats off to Willie and Corey Robertson, the
- 17:44Speaker 3: stars of Duck Dynasty. They teamed up with Echol to
- 17:48Speaker 3: create this brand new one-of-a-kind streaming platform. It's all built
- 17:51Speaker 3: around faith and family. And, Mark, I love the fact
- 17:54Speaker 3: that the Robertsons didn't just lend their name to this project.
- 17:57Speaker 3: I mean, they rolled their sleeves up. They were hands-on.
- 18:01Speaker 3: They helped build the actual infrastructure that is Eccle today.
- 18:06Speaker 2: That entire Duck Dynasty phenomenon showed that there could be
- 18:09Speaker 2: a family-safe program that was genuinely funny, genuinely smart, genuinely
- 18:14Speaker 2: mass appeal. A lot of times when parents sit down
- 18:17Speaker 2: and say, well— Let's watch something that's safe for the family.
- 18:20Speaker 2: It means aimed at a seven-year-old. No, this is stuff
- 18:23Speaker 2: that has appeal for people of all ages and is
- 18:25Speaker 2: safe for people of all ages and safe for the
- 18:27Speaker 2: whole family. TV shows, movies, podcasts, and a daily devotional
- 18:32Speaker 2: that is just part of the faith-forward attempt to put

- 19:05Speaker 3: What about John Thune? I want to play this clip
- 19:09Speaker 3: for you from Fox News today. I haven't seen this
- 19:12Speaker 3: clip yet, so Yasmin's going to play this for us
- 19:14Speaker 3: for the first time. But I know that that Brian
- 19:18Speaker 3: Kilmeade over at Fox News Channel was quoting Thune as
- 19:23Speaker 3: describing Paxton as a lazy campaigner. Now, you've got some
- 19:28Speaker 3: very strong thoughts on this because I've seen your comments
- 19:30Speaker 3: about this on X and I follow you regularly. Everybody
- 19:34Speaker 3: should at Mark Davis for for X. I'm at Gallagher
- 19:37Speaker 3: show for X as well. Let's check out this segment
- 19:40Speaker 3: here from Fox News and get your reaction to it, Mark.
- 19:43Speaker 7: Looks like Senator John Thune has just come out and
- 19:45Speaker 7: said flat out, Mr. President, you got to help out
- 19:47Speaker 7: Ken Paxson. He's lazy, according to John Cornyn, and not
- 19:51Speaker 7: a good campaigner. And he's got only about $ 2 million
- 19:54Speaker 7: going against 28.
- 19:55Speaker 3: Is that your message?
- 19:57Speaker 8: Yeah, absolutely, but the outside group is saying, okay, we're
- 20:01Speaker 8: going to buy $ 15 million worth of advertising. Now, that
- 20:05Speaker 8: may sound like a lot to people who live in
- 20:07Speaker 8: other states, but $ 15 million over two weeks is a pittance.
- 20:12Speaker 8: We're the second most populous state in the union. We
- 20:15Speaker 8: have a large number, over 20 media markets, and Tallarico,
- 20:22Speaker 8: since the primary— has been up most of the time.
- 20:26Speaker 8: He had like four or five weeks of positive advertising.
- 20:30Speaker 8: And now he has got advertising that's going directly at Paxton. Paxton, remember,
- 20:35Speaker 8: the week leading up to the 4th of July, he
- 20:37Speaker 8: was in Washington the week before the 4th of July
- 20:39Speaker 8: on that weekend. No fundraiser that I can find. And
- 20:43Speaker 8: then on Tuesday, he was seen leaving for Iceland with
- 20:46Speaker 8: his latest girlfriend. And then the two of them spent
- 20:49Speaker 8: the 4th of July together. Now, look, we have London, Texas.
- 20:53Speaker 8: It's out in the West Exit, not a big town.
- 20:56Speaker 8: But if he wanted to go to London, he should
- 20:57Speaker 8: have gone to London, Texas, rather than London, England. And
- 21:01Speaker 8: he is notorious for being a bad fundraiser.
- 21:04Speaker 4: The president.
- 21:05Speaker 8: Got him into the general election. Without the president's endorsement,
- 21:09Speaker 8: he would have lost. The president has $ 400 million as
- 21:13Speaker 8: of July 31st sitting in MAGA, Inc., and tens of
- 21:17Speaker 8: millions of dollars sitting in other pockets that he controls,
- 21:20Speaker 8: Super PACs. And he's got to– if he wants to
- 21:23Speaker 8: have PACs to win, he needs to come in because, remember–
- 21:27Speaker 8: Cala Rico is buying at the lowest unit rate. There's
- 21:31Speaker 8: a law that allows candidates to get basically the cheapest
- 21:35Speaker 8: price for their ad for ads that they buy. That
- 21:38Speaker 8: rule does not apply to super PACs. I used to
- 21:41Speaker 8: be helpful on this in a. Super PAC for about
- 21:43Speaker 8: a decade. And let me tell you, the disparity is
- 21:45Speaker 8: like three to one, four to one, five to one.
- 21:48Speaker 8: That is to say, the Super PAC ads, if somebody's
- 21:51Speaker 8: spending a million dollars out of their campaign fund, you
- 21:54Speaker 8: need to spend two or three or four or five
- 21:56Speaker 8: million out of the Super PAC simply to match them. So,
- 22:00Speaker 8: you know, Tallarico's got $ 30 million worth of advertising during
- 22:04Speaker 8: the same time that a Super PAC is running $ 15 million.
- 22:07Speaker 8: That doesn't mean that the Tallarico is outspending them two
- 22:10Speaker 8: to one. It means that Tallarico is being heard by
- 22:14Speaker 8: maybe three or four to one over what that super
- 22:16Speaker 8: PAC is getting. So time is running out. If the
- 22:19Speaker 8: president wants to have Paxton win, he needs to be
- 22:23Speaker 8: tossing a lot of money Paxton's way so that ads
- 22:26Speaker 8: can be run that depict Tallarico as the far left
- 22:29Speaker 8: winger that he is. If not, Tallarico is going to
- 22:33Speaker 8: run the message of my opponent is the most corrupt
- 22:35Speaker 8: politician in Texas history all the way to the.
- 22:40Speaker 3: I mean, Mark, first of all, it's very good.
- 22:42Speaker 2: Lord, where to begin?
- 22:43Speaker 3: I know. Let's begin with Karl Rove, who was the
- 22:46Speaker 3: guest there with Brian. Clearly an establishment Republican. No way
- 22:50Speaker 3: around that.
- 22:51Speaker 8: He is.
- 22:51Speaker 3: He's his establishment. He's a bushy. He's he's he's as
- 22:54Speaker 3: establishment as it gets. But on the one hand. He's
- 22:58Speaker 3: bashing Paxton as being a notoriously bad fundraiser and a lousy,
- 23:03Speaker 3: lazy campaigner, but then putting it all at Trump's doorstep saying, well,
- 23:07Speaker 3: if Trump wants to help him, let Trump bail him out.
- 23:10Speaker 3: Let Trump spend money out of his pack.
- 23:12Speaker 2: Like this is some pet project of Trump's rather than
- 23:15Speaker 2: the will of the vast majority of Republican voters. Karl
- 23:18Speaker 2: Rove is a snake and a liar. The lie was
- 23:22Speaker 2: that without Trump's endorsement, Paxton or Cornyn would have won.
- 23:26Speaker 2: The Wesley Hunt candidacy, mysterious though it was, created a
- 23:30Speaker 2: third way for people to go so that we would
- 23:32Speaker 2: have had the runoff anyway. Ken Paxton absolutely obliterated John
- 23:37Speaker 2: Cornyn in that runoff on May 26th. So the notion
- 23:41Speaker 2: that that was only the Trump endorsement is just false
- 23:43Speaker 2: on its face. And as far as the snake aspect
- 23:47Speaker 2: of this, I don't just throw that around, but this
- 23:49Speaker 2: is treachery on steroids that Karl Rove, is just by
- 23:54Speaker 2: bagging on Paxton. Listen, if you want to bag on Paxton,
- 23:57Speaker 2: knock yourself out, get free speech, go ahead. But do
- 23:59Speaker 2: not then offer yourself up as a conservative, as a Republican,
- 24:03Speaker 2: as a Tallarico opponent, because Karl Rove would be fine,
- 24:07Speaker 2: would be fine if Tallarico won.
- 24:10Speaker 3: He'd be thrilled. And that's the jarring news. That's the
- 24:14Speaker 3: revelation that I think, and you've convinced me, you are right.
- 24:17Speaker 3: They want Tallarico to win. I think they want Abdul
- 24:21Speaker 3: El-Said to win. I think they want The radical left
- 24:24Speaker 3: to win so that the old Ed Koch, the people
- 24:28Speaker 3: must be punished. The people must be punished. We're being
- 24:31Speaker 3: punished right now as we suffer through a rise in abortions.
- 24:35Speaker 3: We are so proud to welcome Preborn as one of
- 24:37Speaker 3: our partners here on M & M Extra. There's greater
- 24:40Speaker 3: access to telehealth, abortion pills in the mail. Preborn offers
- 24:45Speaker 3: free ultrasounds to girls and women. When a young woman
- 24:48Speaker 3: sees her baby and hears her baby's heartbeat, it doubles
- 24:51Speaker 3: the chance that she's going to choose life. $ 140 will
- 24:54Speaker 3: help give five mothers a free ultrasound and save babies.
- 24:58Speaker 3: $ 280 will help save 10 babies. And if you really
- 25:01Speaker 3: want to go big and you want to provide an
- 25:04Speaker 3: ultrasound machine for years, $ 15, 000 tax-deductible donation. We're inviting people
- 25:12Speaker 3: to join together. Our show would like to provide an
- 25:16Speaker 3: ultrasound machine. We just need five donors today. at $ 3, 000 apiece,
- 25:20Speaker 3: and we'll treat you to lunch in Dallas. If you're
- 25:22Speaker 3: interested in that, send us an email, mike at mikeonline.com,
- 25:26Speaker 3: with your contact information, and we'll reach out to you,
- 25:28Speaker 3: mike at mikeonline.com. But Mark, whether you want to save
- 25:31Speaker 3: a baby or hundreds, a call or a click away, 833-850-BABY, 833-850-2229,
- 25:34Speaker 3: or you can go to preborn.com slash mmextra, preborn.com slash mmextra.
- 25:46Speaker 3: And doesn't it feel good to do something on behalf
- 25:48Speaker 3: of life on our little podcast, Mark?
- 25:50Speaker 2: It feels so great to me. But listen, we love
- 25:53Speaker 2: all the business. People want to be associated with us.
- 25:56Speaker 2: We are going to feel warmly about you and just
- 25:58Speaker 2: work ourselves down to the bone to make sure that
- 26:02Speaker 2: you get results. But there's a category of things, the
- 26:05Speaker 2: virtuous things that Preborn is doing. And I hope that
- 26:08Speaker 2: people will get in touch with us about that at 833-850-BABY.
- 26:12Speaker 2: If I can stay in the virtue lane for a second–
- 26:15Speaker 2: I got to tell a little story when I did
- 26:16Speaker 2: a solo version earlier on because it's a day where
- 26:18Speaker 2: we get to say hi to our friends at Food
- 26:20Speaker 2: for the Poor, which you have known forever. I've known forever.
- 26:23Speaker 2: I talked about you and me in Guatemala together watching
- 26:28Speaker 2: the incredible work that Food for the Poor does in
- 26:30Speaker 2: our hemisphere, some of the poorest of the poor. And
- 26:33Speaker 2: it is something that people can do through our friends
- 26:35Speaker 2: at Food for the Poor with the simplest of things.
- 26:38Speaker 2: If you've got $ 10, $ 50, $ 100, we are feeding starving children.
- 26:43Speaker 2: I pointed out the notion of a mom who has
- 26:45Speaker 2: three kids and enough food to feed maybe one of them.
- 26:48Speaker 3: Quick, what would you do?
- 26:50Speaker 2: And if that touches your heart, what we would like
- 26:52Speaker 2: very much for you to do is text FFTP, as
- 26:55Speaker 2: in Food for the Poor, text FFTP to 51555. Five, one, five, five, five.
- 27:01Speaker 2: We're not going to that doesn't go grab your money.
- 27:03Speaker 2: It gives you a link that you can plug into
- 27:05Speaker 2: and say, I got 10 bucks or I got 100
- 27:07Speaker 2: bucks or I got a thousand bucks. And the people
- 27:10Speaker 2: right here that we have seen with Mike's own eyes
- 27:12Speaker 2: and my own eyes will be so grateful. Food for
- 27:15Speaker 2: the poor is grateful. The moms are grateful. It was
- 27:18Speaker 2: a life-changing trip that you and I got to make.
- 27:20Speaker 3: You bet. And they've got a name of a house
- 27:23Speaker 3: in my late wife's name. The Denise Gallagher house is
- 27:26Speaker 3: in Jamaica. And there's a house right now that is
- 27:30Speaker 3: housing what would have been a poor homeless family. But
- 27:33Speaker 3: they named a house in honor of my wife, Denise. So, look,
- 27:37Speaker 3: just text FFTP to 51555 to give and learn more
- 27:43Speaker 3: from Food for the Poor. Just text FFTP. to 51555.
- 27:47Speaker 3: I've still got some of those pictures of you and
- 27:50Speaker 3: me and Ethan and Lisa in Guatemala. What a life-changing
- 27:55Speaker 3: journey that was, Mark.
- 27:56Speaker 2: It was just spectacular. And if people want to just
- 27:59Speaker 2: do it old school phone call wise, they can do
- 28:01Speaker 2: that too at 855-827-HOPE, 855-827-4673. We can't finish Establishment Friday
- 28:09Speaker 2: without spending just a minute. And I want to offer
- 28:12Speaker 2: up a dichotomy and see if it makes sense to you,
- 28:14Speaker 2: because the Democrats have their own. You think they got
- 28:16Speaker 2: they have an establishment issue to this where the establishment
- 28:21Speaker 2: Republicans have just we've just kicked them in the.
- 28:23Speaker 3: Nuts all day long and they deserve it.
- 28:27Speaker 2: Would you say that it's true that the establishment Democrats
- 28:30Speaker 2: are the ones that you and I might find a
- 28:31Speaker 2: little more Hillary Clinton, Harold Ford Jr.? These are the
- 28:36Speaker 2: ones that we find, John Fetterman, that we find a
- 28:40Speaker 2: little more reasonable than the DSA squad style. So if
- 28:45Speaker 2: indeed it's true that the Republican establishment is a problem
- 28:49Speaker 2: and the Democrat establishment may be their saving grace, here's why.
- 28:53Speaker 2: And I want to offer this up to you, Mike Gallagher.
- 28:56Speaker 2: It is because conservatism is good and liberalism is bad,
- 28:59Speaker 2: meaning that anybody that tries to mitigate conservatism and put
- 29:04Speaker 2: a plow on secretariat. Is doing a bad thing. Liberalism
- 29:09Speaker 2: is toxic. So anybody trying to rein that in and
- 29:13Speaker 2: prevent its excesses is actually doing a good thing. So, A,
- 29:17Speaker 2: does that make sense? And B, give me your paragraph
- 29:21Speaker 2: or two on the establishment war going on in the
- 29:25Speaker 2: Democrat Party.
- 29:26Speaker 3: Well, I like you bringing this up because I'll add
- 29:28Speaker 3: two more names to the mix. Representative Jared Golden of
- 29:32Speaker 3: Maine and Marie Glusenkamp Perez of Washington state. They actually
- 29:38Speaker 3: saved the Republicans. House Speaker Mike Johnson this week from
- 29:43Speaker 3: facing a shutdown on the floor. of the House of Representatives.
- 29:47Speaker 3: And the rage right now within the Democrat machine is intense.
- 29:53Speaker 3: There were five Republicans who voted against a rule that
- 29:57Speaker 3: would protest the passage of the continuing resolution. mostly because
- 30:02Speaker 3: it delayed a ban on hemp THC products. So I
- 30:06Speaker 3: know we're a little bit of the weeds here. No
- 30:08Speaker 3: pun intended. But if the two Democrats hadn't voted in
- 30:12Speaker 3: favor of opening debate, the floor would have shut down
- 30:17Speaker 3: and the chamber would have gone home. Well, these two
- 30:19Speaker 3: Democrats blindsided the minority leader, Hakeem Jeffries, And and they
- 30:27Speaker 3: are livid. You've got this split. And again, is Jared
- 30:31Speaker 3: Golden an establishment Democrat? Maybe Marie Glussen Camp Perez. I
- 30:36Speaker 3: didn't know she existed.
- 30:37Speaker 2: The fact that we've never heard of them probably indicates
- 30:39Speaker 2: their establishment backbenchers.
- 30:41Speaker 3: But good for them. There you go. And that's it.
- 30:43Speaker 3: So I want to I want to revel in the
- 30:46Speaker 3: rage of Hakeem Jeffries. I think this is called schadenfreude,
- 30:50Speaker 3: where you delight in the misery of others. Here he
- 30:53Speaker 3: is with another miserable Democrat, Don Lemon, over on the
- 30:57Speaker 3: Don Lemon podcast. Here was Hakeem and Don.
- 31:01Speaker 9: You know, listen, we issued a statement yesterday that was
- 31:05Speaker 9: pretty clear from House Democratic leadership indicating that we viewed
- 31:12Speaker 9: the fact that we were blindsided by two of our
- 31:15Speaker 9: colleagues as a significant breach of trust with respect to
- 31:20Speaker 9: a procedural vote that was on its way to failing
- 31:25Speaker 9: had everybody remain unified and every single Democrat who was present,
- 31:29Speaker 9: but to voted.
- 31:31Speaker 1: Against the rule.
- 31:32Speaker 9: Now the rule is what gave the Republicans the ability
- 31:36Speaker 9: to advance several different bills on the floor this week,
- 31:41Speaker 9: including a resolution that in part, uh, related to the
- 31:47Speaker 9: advancement of the voter suppression, uh, piece of legislation that
- 31:53Speaker 9: Donald Trump has been so obsessed with, the so-called Save
- 31:56Speaker 9: America Act, which is really the Suppress the Vote Act.
- 31:59Speaker 9: So we indicated that it was a significant breach that
- 32:06Speaker 9: requires a serious response, and we have referred the matter
- 32:11Speaker 9: to the Committee on Caucus Rules for further discussion.
- 32:16Speaker 3: Good Lord. What does that mean? Oh, the caucus rules.
- 32:21Speaker 3: You will be vaporized.
- 32:22Speaker 2: You will be.
- 32:22Speaker 3: You're going to the principal's office. You're going to be
- 32:26Speaker 3: in trouble now. Don't make me turn this car around.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Don't.
- 32:30Speaker 3: I mean. But I love it. I love seeing this
- 32:34Speaker 3: kind of turmoil. And good for you. And look, those
- 32:38Speaker 3: two Democrats, Jared Golden of Maine, Marie Glusenkamp Perez, they're
- 32:42Speaker 3: going to pay a heavy price. They're talking about stripping
- 32:45Speaker 3: them of being on their committee seats.
- 32:48Speaker 2: For daring to be, here comes the word, for daring
- 32:51Speaker 2: to be bipartisan, don't we usually kind of like? The
- 32:55Speaker 2: occasional moments of bipartisanship, sort of?
- 32:58Speaker 3: Not today's Democrat Party. And I got to give them credit.
- 33:01Speaker 3: They're typically pretty unified, but not on this one. And
- 33:06Speaker 3: I don't want to get out of here. I want
- 33:07Speaker 3: to go full circle because Hakeem talked about the Voter
- 33:11Speaker 3: Suppression Act. That's what they call the Save America Act. Yes.
- 33:15Speaker 3: Our boy Tallarico waited on this. There was a clip
- 33:18Speaker 3: that just surfaced. I want to share that with you
- 33:21Speaker 3: in 60 seconds. But first, I want to happily point
- 33:24Speaker 3: out how much I enjoyed a lobster roll when I
- 33:27Speaker 3: was in Maine this past week. Wait a minute. Lobster rolls.
- 33:31Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 33:31Speaker 2: Is that legal in the world of Ph.D. weight loss,
- 33:34Speaker 2: my man?
- 33:35Speaker 3: It certainly is. If you cheat a little bit, if
- 33:37Speaker 3: you go a little wobbly, you get right back and
- 33:40Speaker 3: do exactly what you know to do because you're That's
- 33:43Speaker 3: the beauty of PhD weight loss, and I've kept the
- 33:45Speaker 3: weight off. I know what to do now. Dr. Ashley
- 33:48Speaker 3: Lucas changed my life. The quick fixes, they always fail.
- 33:52Speaker 3: Even the popular GLP-1 shots suppress the appetite while you're
- 33:56Speaker 3: taking them, but as soon as you stop taking them,
- 33:58Speaker 3: the weight comes pouring back, and they don't fix what
- 34:01Speaker 3: caused the problem in the first place. That's the beauty.
- 34:03Speaker 3: of PHD Weight Loss. They fix the problem from the
- 34:06Speaker 3: very beginning. When you call, the number I'm going to
- 34:08Speaker 3: give you, you mentioned Mike and Mark, we're going to
- 34:10Speaker 3: add two free weeks to your PHD Weight Loss program,
- 34:14Speaker 3: and they'll pay for the cost of your food, which
- 34:16Speaker 3: is a $ 1, 500 value. Make that call. Change your life.
- 34:20Speaker 3: I lost over 50. I know all the tools now.
- 34:24Speaker 3: I know what to eat. Yeah, I can have a
- 34:26Speaker 3: lobster roll. Yeah, I can have a piece of cake. Yeah,
- 34:28Speaker 3: I can have some ice cream. You're not going to
- 34:31Speaker 3: be so restrictive that you're going to be miserable. And
- 34:33Speaker 3: the best part of all, as you're losing the weight,
- 34:35Speaker 3: you're never hungry. Make that call.
- 34:37Speaker 7: 864-644-1900.
- 34:37Speaker 3: Call 864-644-1900 or visit my.com. MyPhDWeightLoss.com. MyPhDWeightLoss.com. The goal isn't
- 34:48Speaker 3: to lose weight once. It's to never have to start
- 34:51Speaker 3: over again. MyPhDWeightLoss.com. What's your nickname for James Tallarico?
- 34:58Speaker 2: Well, it wasn't mine. I didn't give birth to it.
- 35:00Speaker 2: My buddy Chris Putnam at the Dallas Express, for whom
- 35:02Speaker 2: I do a lot of column writing, referred to him
- 35:04Speaker 2: as Woke Opie, which I just think is fantastic.
- 35:08Speaker 3: I love that. Woke Opie. Just love it.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Anyway.
- 35:14Speaker 3: Go fishing with Andy Griffith. Which is called what?
- 35:17Speaker 2: What's the song called?
- 35:19Speaker 3: I do know that, but I'm drawing a blank.
- 35:20Speaker 2: You just kind of invoked it. It's called Fish and Hole.
- 35:23Speaker 3: Fish and Hole. There we go. Well, here's this guy.
- 35:26Speaker 3: Let's see if he can dig out of this hole because, Lordy,
- 35:30Speaker 3: there are tapes. Here's a tape of James Tallarico opining
- 35:35Speaker 3: that he hates a voter ID law with every fiber
- 35:41Speaker 3: of of his being.
- 35:43Speaker 10: That voter suppression bill, it's still an immoral... anti-American, anti-democratic bill,
- 35:50Speaker 10: one that I hate with every fiber of my being.
- 35:53Speaker 10: But I knew that my job as a member of
- 35:56Speaker 10: the minority is to do harm mitigation. And so by
- 36:00Speaker 10: coming back, we were able to remove some of the
- 36:02Speaker 10: worst parts of the bill, the ban on souls to
- 36:04Speaker 10: the polls, the provisions that would make it easier to
- 36:07Speaker 10: overturn the election, taking some of these federal penalties, these
- 36:12Speaker 10: felony penalties, And bringing them down to misdemeanors, requiring that
- 36:16Speaker 10: these poll watchers, who I don't think should be in
- 36:18Speaker 10: the polling place at all, but if they're going to
- 36:20Speaker 10: be there, we were able to ensure that they at
- 36:22Speaker 10: least have mandated election code training so that they don't
- 36:25Speaker 10: have an excuse of saying they didn't know the election.
- 36:29Speaker 3: Can't have poll watchers. Can't have any poll watchers.
- 36:33Speaker 9: No.
- 36:33Speaker 3: Election integrity? Are you kidding me? He hates that with
- 36:36Speaker 3: every fiber of his being. And, you know, there's always
- 36:40Speaker 3: a joke about who's on the 20% of an issue.
- 36:43Speaker 3: I mean, aren't voter ID laws 80% popular?
- 36:47Speaker 7: Yes.
- 36:47Speaker 2: Trans, voter ID, these are the 80-20s. And for Democrats
- 36:51Speaker 2: to willfully paint themselves into the 20 end of that 80-20– Please,
- 36:55Speaker 2: all the smart kids, please tell me how this guy
- 36:57Speaker 2: is going to be elected senator from Texas. Please tell me.
- 37:00Speaker 3: Every poll says he will. Time will tell. I'm liking
- 37:04Speaker 3: this theme day Friday. Let's do another one next Friday.
- 37:06Speaker 3: What do you think? All right, let's think about something.
- 37:10Speaker 3: Got any ideas what we'll do next week?
- 37:11Speaker 2: Well, I tell you what, one of the themes of
- 37:13Speaker 2: next week is going to be is creative scheduling because
- 37:16Speaker 2: I've got my Alex Marlowe fill-ins, Monday's Labor Day. You're
- 37:19Speaker 2: going to knock out a couple of solos. We've got
- 37:22Speaker 2: September 10th where we've got the full Charlie Kirk observation
- 37:27Speaker 2: of all of that.
- 37:28Speaker 3: And then we're back live Friday.
- 37:30Speaker 1: And then 9-11.
- 37:31Speaker 2: Whoa, excuse me. I think we've got our theme for
- 37:33Speaker 2: next Friday. It's 9-11. But every Friday we have the
- 37:37Speaker 2: opportunity to do all kinds of things. That's kind of
- 37:39Speaker 2: the rule of the road around here. Like every once
- 37:41Speaker 2: in a while, Monday through Thursday is very much what's
- 37:44Speaker 2: in the news today, what's in the news today, what's
- 37:45Speaker 2: in the news today, what did we just do on
- 37:47Speaker 2: our shows. Friday we kind of take a 30,000-foot level
- 37:51Speaker 2: look at something. And so we hope everybody enjoys doing
- 37:54Speaker 2: those as much as we.
- 37:55Speaker 3: Enjoy doing them. I like it. Have a great weekend, everybody.
- 37:58Speaker 3: Thanks for joining us. See you.
