- 3:22Speaker 2: to be with you another Wednesday, Another hump day. Another
- 3:25Speaker 2: beautiful weather day kind of I'll say it was overcast,
- 3:29Speaker 2: but you know, sickos like me don't mind a couple
- 3:32Speaker 2: of clouds in a little bit of drizzle. It's your host,
- 3:35Speaker 2: Joshua Ymahi, Joe Butten with the buttons, the crash Out,

- 4:04Speaker 2: Nine to five time is over. Time to tap in,
- 4:07Speaker 2: time to lock in, and time to have some fun,
- 4:10Speaker 2: time to kick back them damn feet. That's been you know,
- 4:12Speaker 2: in the chair all day, you know, at a desk
- 4:15Speaker 2: or whatever you do for your nine to five, whatever
- 4:16Speaker 2: you do for work. Wednesday, six pm, you know what
- 4:19Speaker 2: time it is is time to chill out with t
- 4:22Speaker 2: r B and listen. When it comes to that phrase
- 4:27Speaker 2: chill out, it's something that I have to remind myself
- 4:32Speaker 2: to do. It's the last Wednesday, last TRB on air
- 4:37Speaker 2: in the month of July. And if anybody knows anything
- 4:42Speaker 2: about me now, I know I've been hosting this damn
- 4:45Speaker 2: show every week since late twenty twenty four. So I
- 4:50Speaker 2: would hope that you would be accustomed or well acquainted
- 4:54Speaker 2: to me and my team of psychopaths and socio paths
- 4:59Speaker 2: and sickles behind me. I would hope that to be
- 5:01Speaker 2: the case. Right, But if you are joining us for
- 5:04Speaker 2: the first time, or if you listen to our show
- 5:07Speaker 2: and as background noise for whatever it is you're doing,
- 5:11Speaker 2: let me tell you one thing about myself that again
- 5:13Speaker 2: should be well established by now. I'm crazy. I am
- 5:20Speaker 2: a crazy person. Yep, no doubt about that. And it
- 5:24Speaker 2: goes to show you how how I host this show
- 5:28Speaker 2: every week, or people that know me in real life
- 5:30Speaker 2: how it kind of manifests in other things. But as
- 5:34Speaker 2: I was working on my latest recess Bell creative project
- 5:37Speaker 2: this past week that I will be talking about here shortly,
- 5:40Speaker 2: something dawned on me. I'll be talking about it throughout
- 5:44Speaker 2: the show. I'll be talking about it throughout the near
- 5:48Speaker 2: future here. Really, it's important that you find your tribe
- 5:52Speaker 2: as a self proclaimed crazy person too, because if you don't,
- 5:58Speaker 2: life can get real, real rough, You can get real,
- 6:00Speaker 2: real roller coaster like. But if you have a good
- 6:03Speaker 2: support system that can keep you calm through moments of stress,
- 6:08Speaker 2: moments of strife, that's all you really need to keep pushing,
- 6:14Speaker 2: keep pushing towards whatever. Keep pushing towards that career bout
- 6:17Speaker 2: career path you working towards, Keep working towards that dream job,
- 6:21Speaker 2: keep working towards, working yourself up and proving yourself for
- 6:24Speaker 2: whatever you want to do. What I'm trying to say
- 6:28Speaker 2: is that I'm a very future minded person. All right.
- 6:32Speaker 2: I can't help it. I can't turn my brain off.
- 6:35Speaker 2: I can't stop thinking about the future and my future.
- 6:38Speaker 2: I think about my future when I wake up. I
- 6:40Speaker 2: think about my future. When I brush my teeth. I
- 6:42Speaker 2: think about my future. When I hit the commute to work,
- 6:45Speaker 2: I think about my future. When I get home from work.
- 6:47Speaker 2: I think about my future in the shower. I think
- 6:49Speaker 2: about my future when I'm having sex. I think about
- 6:51Speaker 2: my future at every point. I'm so career minded. I'm
- 6:56Speaker 2: freakishly focused towards the future and achieving all my goals.
- 6:59Speaker 2: So I've learned a powerful lesson in all that thinking.
- 7:07Speaker 2: Whatever you planing towards the future, whatever you're building towards,
- 7:10Speaker 2: it really don't mean jack if that foundation ain't set.
- 7:16Speaker 2: What do I mean by that? In the life of
- 7:18Speaker 2: a creative Those that follow the recess belt on social
- 7:21Speaker 2: media specifically Instagram. I wrote about this on the recessbel
- 7:25Speaker 2: dot com yesterday about the importance of whatever you're building
- 7:30Speaker 2: towards in your creative life and your career life, family life, friendships.
- 7:36Speaker 2: It's important that whatever you're building has a firm foundation
- 7:39Speaker 2: to it. If it's flimsy, if it's not, if that
- 7:43Speaker 2: foundation ain't built right, something that we call a house
- 7:47Speaker 2: of cards could fall very easily. I presume that all
- 7:52Speaker 2: of you listening, you listening, have experiential playing cards before
- 7:58Speaker 2: playing go fish and space and stuff like that, Solitaire,
- 8:01Speaker 2: even listen, we've all gotten bored of our cars here
- 8:06Speaker 2: and there, and we started just playing around with them.
- 8:09Speaker 2: So what I used to do as a kid is
- 8:10Speaker 2: build houses of cards, you know, stacked cards on one
- 8:14Speaker 2: level over the other, over the other, until I made
- 8:16Speaker 2: a whole tower full of cars, and I was like,
- 8:18Speaker 2: oh wow, how impressive. And then my sisters would come
- 8:21Speaker 2: through and kick the cards down, like yo, what's wrong
- 8:25Speaker 2: with you? But I would keep trying to build those
- 8:28Speaker 2: cards back up, back up, and back up. And as
- 8:31Speaker 2: I keep thinking about my future, sometimes I veer into
- 8:33Speaker 2: my past and go and reminisce about certain things. And
- 8:36Speaker 2: I had an epiphany. I kept trying to build these
- 8:41Speaker 2: these damn houses of cards, knowing that they was flimsy
- 8:45Speaker 2: as hell, knowing that they weren't sturdy, knowing that they
- 8:49Speaker 2: didn't have a good foundation. But I just kept trying
- 8:51Speaker 2: and going at it and going at it. It's like
- 8:54Speaker 2: Charlie Brown and Lisa with the football. Charlie Brown just
- 8:58Speaker 2: knew and he woke up gonna kick that football and
- 9:01Speaker 2: kick it good. And Lucy was just like, now, I'm
- 9:05Speaker 2: not gonna let you kick this Football's WoT you you
- 9:08Speaker 2: think you're gonna kick this football today? No, noboddy Nah.
- 9:13Speaker 2: That's kind of how it's felt in whatever I've worked
- 9:16Speaker 2: towards in my life. At times now I've been lucky
- 9:19Speaker 2: with the recess. Bell think I have a pretty decent foundation,
- 9:22Speaker 2: but it could always be better, and I always look
- 9:24Speaker 2: inward to see how I can improve things that I'm
- 9:27Speaker 2: building creatively, whether it's a piece that I'm writing, whether
- 9:31Speaker 2: it's a piece of graphic design, whether it's a radio
- 9:33Speaker 2: show I'm hosting. It's important to me to have that
- 9:36Speaker 2: foundation set that's done through preparation, that's done through a
- 9:40Speaker 2: bunch of things, and you know, firm foundations are built
- 9:44Speaker 2: a lot of ways, buildings solid bolts on the ground.
- 9:48Speaker 2: What I outlined in this piece titled House of Cards,
- 9:51Speaker 2: a house of cards will never last and stand just
- 9:57Speaker 2: looking and evaluating the creative sphere today to create a
- 10:00Speaker 2: space today and looking inward like I said, and even
- 10:03Speaker 2: looking at the recess bill again, blessed to be here
- 10:06Speaker 2: on ninety point three WHBC. Anybody can build things that
- 10:10Speaker 2: last for a little bit. We all know about the
- 10:13Speaker 2: concept of a one hit wonder in music, a sensational
- 10:18Speaker 2: rookie season in sports that that athlete can't follow up on.
- 10:25Speaker 2: Anybody can buildings for a little while, but building things
- 10:28Speaker 2: that last and stand a test of time is the
- 10:31Speaker 2: difficult task. Anybody that builds a legacy in any field
- 10:35Speaker 2: they work in, they've mastered that they know how to
- 10:38Speaker 2: build things that last and that is centered around the
- 10:40Speaker 2: foundation of which they build it on. So that being said,
- 10:44Speaker 2: I broke it down into four foundational pillars in this
- 10:47Speaker 2: piece that I penned to the recessbell dot Com. Like
- 10:50Speaker 2: I said, integrity, consistency, adaptability, team dynamics, integrity. If you're
- 11:00Speaker 2: things that are genuine and you're not running to chat
- 11:03Speaker 2: GPT to write essays or make flyers or do whatever.
- 11:11Speaker 2: If you're really pouring into your work and it's genuine,
- 11:13Speaker 2: it's authentic. It's not done by skipping steps with AI,
- 11:17Speaker 2: cutting corners, all that stuff, you're probably gonna do well.
- 11:19Speaker 2: That's a good foundation. That's a good starter. Consistency. Listen,
- 11:23Speaker 2: anybody can do something for one day, two days, doing
- 11:25Speaker 2: it for seven days, fourteen days, twenty one days, a
- 11:28Speaker 2: whole month, back to back months, a whole year, that's tougher.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Consistency is another important pillar adaptability. Again, I couldn't help
- 11:37Speaker 2: as a New York Knicks. Anybody knows me, knows how
- 11:41Speaker 2: much I love the Knicks, what I tell people, and
- 11:45Speaker 2: when people are like, how did the Knicks win the
- 11:47Speaker 2: twenty twenty six NBA Championship? Knowing that they wasn't the
- 11:51Speaker 2: most talented, Knowing that their two best players weren't the
- 11:54Speaker 2: best defenders in Jalen Brunson and Karl Anthony Towns. Knowing
- 12:01Speaker 2: that they had to go against in the finals a
- 12:05Speaker 2: seven foot five deity in Victor Wembyamo, How do they
- 12:11Speaker 2: do it? Each playoff round? All four playoff rounds they won?
- 12:16Speaker 2: They were They proved to be the most versatile team.
- 12:21Speaker 2: They proved to be the most adaptable team. That's why
- 12:23Speaker 2: the third pillar of you know, trying to avoid a
- 12:25Speaker 2: house of cards building a strong foundation creatively is that adaptability.
- 12:31Speaker 2: One challenge is going to be different than the next,
- 12:33Speaker 2: and then the next one, and then the next one.
- 12:35Speaker 2: What really matters is not how you how talented you
- 12:39Speaker 2: are on the standalone. There's really more so about how
- 12:42Speaker 2: you can adapt to each challenge that comes your way,
- 12:46Speaker 2: kind of like a shape shift, kind of like a chameleon.
- 12:49Speaker 2: You know, how well you adapt to your surroundings is
- 12:51Speaker 2: insanely important in the creator sphere. And then, lastly, team
- 12:55Speaker 2: dynamics if you're building a team, if what you're doing
- 12:58Speaker 2: creatively or even in your career involves a team, running
- 13:01Speaker 2: a team, being a key member of a team. Again,
- 13:04Speaker 2: I referenced the New York Knicks and how their team chemistry,
- 13:08Speaker 2: the power of friendship some might call it. How do
- 13:12Speaker 2: I really drove them to the championship as well? That
- 13:14Speaker 2: matters if egos don't get checked, if issues go unaddressed,
- 13:21Speaker 2: guess what happens? That house of cars comes tumbling down.
- 13:26Speaker 2: And if you want to be silly like me, when
- 13:29Speaker 2: I was seven eight years old and build a house
- 13:32Speaker 2: of cars back up, probably gonna fall again. So that's
- 13:37Speaker 2: the lesson I impart to you. That is the piece
- 13:41Speaker 2: I penned once again to the recessbel dot com on
- 13:43Speaker 2: the Recess Belt the Network for Creatives again check that out.
- 13:47Speaker 2: But you know, listen to the show as you know
- 13:49Speaker 2: in the background, or read that piece after whatever you
- 13:52Speaker 2: want to do. But I highly encourage you to read that.
- 13:55Speaker 2: Also have graphics done on it on the Recess Belt
- 13:58Speaker 2: Instagram page. But as far as tonight's show, what do
- 14:04Speaker 2: we have? Listen? Man. I had a great week, y'all.
- 14:08Speaker 2: I'm not gonna lie. I had a great week. Speaking
- 14:10Speaker 2: of the Knicks, shout out the American Museum of National History.
- 14:15Speaker 2: I took a trip there on Monday and they had
- 14:18Speaker 2: an exhibit titled for the Win. So what that is
- 14:22Speaker 2: is a bunch of championship rings and trophies that pass
- 14:25Speaker 2: sports teams have won. And of course it included the
- 14:29Speaker 2: twenty twenty six Larry O'Brien Trophy that the New York
- 14:35Speaker 2: Knicks won. Oh you should have seen me in that line.
- 14:40Speaker 2: I was over there, giddy like a child, just hopping around.
- 14:43Speaker 2: Oh my God, I can't wait to see the trophy
- 14:45Speaker 2: and I saw it up close and personal, looked even
- 14:48Speaker 2: more beautiful in person. I can't wait to tell you
- 14:52Speaker 2: about that. Also, you know what's coming up during the
- 14:57Speaker 2: TRB News Report. You know, whenever the Trump administration is
- 15:04Speaker 2: involved any place anywhere, you know they gonna put on
- 15:10Speaker 2: a show. And that Lindsey Graham's Lindsay Graham's funeral A funeral,
- 15:18Speaker 2: mind you, the most unintentionally funny cast of characters did
- 15:23Speaker 2: it again. I can't make it up. They put on
- 15:27Speaker 2: an absolute show, an entertainment exhibition at this guy's funeral.
- 15:33Speaker 2: Can't wait to share that once again. Hoop la wherever
- 15:36Speaker 2: the Trump administration is concerned, and of course the Sports Report,
- 15:49Speaker 2: he did it. The old man finally made a decision.
- 15:54Speaker 2: Lebron James is going to the Philadelphia seventy six Ers.
- 16:00Speaker 2: And what has that done to the state of the
- 16:01Speaker 2: NBA is put it in a place of flux, a
- 16:07Speaker 2: place of much discussion, in a place of prognostication, like
- 16:10Speaker 2: how good are the Sixers going to be in year one?
- 16:13Speaker 2: Of the Lebron James Jalen Brown now final or future
- 16:18Speaker 2: or former excuse me? Finals MVP Lebron James Jalen Brown,
- 16:23Speaker 2: former NBA MVP Joel Embiid perennial All Star young guy
- 16:27Speaker 2: Tyrese MAXI. How well will that group mesh going to
- 16:30Speaker 2: talk about that during the sports report. Also, the Mets
- 16:33Speaker 2: are playing a bit better head of the trade deadline.
- 16:35Speaker 2: A lot of the guys they might trade playing very well.
- 16:38Speaker 2: The Yankees are rid away injuries, but they still have
- 16:41Speaker 2: continued to win games. As Aaron Boone always says, it's
- 16:45Speaker 2: right there in front of him. Let's get out with
- 16:49Speaker 2: the rest of the show. I'm excited. I hope you're excited.
- 16:52Speaker 2: And once again theme of the show. Avoid building the
- 16:57Speaker 2: house of cars. Whatever you building, don't just make it
- 16:59Speaker 2: because it looks pretty because you can impress people with it.
- 17:04Speaker 2: That might get you by for a little while, but
- 17:06Speaker 2: in terms of standing the test of time, you might
- 17:10Speaker 2: struggle if it's not built on a foundation worthy of longevity.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Don't want to build a house of cars out here again.
- 17:17Speaker 2: You you're not You're not eight year old Joshua you mah.
- 17:18Speaker 2: You want to stray away from that. Trust me. The
- 17:23Speaker 2: Recess Bell on air will be back after this. You're
- 17:28Speaker 2: on the Voice of Nassau Community College ninety point three
- 17:31Speaker 2: w HBC.
- 17:34Speaker 5: As I walk through the other shadow walk, I take
- 17:37Speaker 5: a look.
- 17:38Speaker 1: At my life ever real line, that's nothing level.
- 18:44Speaker 2: Back in my day, there was no recess. We walked
- 18:47Speaker 2: five miles for our education. Up here both ways, we
- 18:51Speaker 2: do not.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Care the recess.
- 18:52Speaker 7: Bell on air on nine point three.
- 18:56Speaker 10: I don't give a If you love me, I don't
- 18:59Speaker 10: give a Give you like me asking me how they feel.
- 19:02Speaker 2: I can't say.
- 19:03Speaker 7: It didn't surprise me.
- 19:04Speaker 10: That's how I look at my right you was standing
- 19:07Speaker 10: beside me. How can some people I love hang around?
- 19:11Speaker 1: Try me?
- 19:12Speaker 7: Let's go.
- 19:15Speaker 11: What did I miss? What did I miss? What did
- 19:23Speaker 11: I miss? What did I miss? This's go, hey, it's cool,
- 19:31Speaker 11: let's cool.

- 19:43Speaker 10: Yeah, get pushed in the face of some Telsea the
- 19:46Speaker 10: dead guys. Did I miss when I was looking at
- 19:50Speaker 10: y'all and cooking with y'all and giving that versus and
- 19:52Speaker 10: buttons to y'all, making sure wise we're hit?
- 19:54Speaker 7: Man? What did I miss?
- 19:56Speaker 10: When you was all of my crib, look at word
- 19:59Speaker 10: for word and all other shows you always felt like

- 23:57Speaker 2: with a better phrase for that, A loyal trb Ert. No,
- 24:02Speaker 2: I don't like that either. If you listen every week,
- 24:05Speaker 2: you know that. What we're doing now at Number one
- 24:07Speaker 2: is typically go over to News Happening and we do
- 24:11Speaker 2: a show and tell segment where myself and the co
- 24:14Speaker 2: hosts that are present will share with the class what
- 24:17Speaker 2: happened to them this week. Now, as I am a
- 24:22Speaker 2: loner today, that's still not going to stop me from
- 24:26Speaker 2: showing off what I want to show off and telling
- 24:29Speaker 2: what I want to tell. All right, So hop on
- 24:33Speaker 2: this adventure with me, and we'll bring you our show
- 24:36Speaker 2: and Tell segment with vibrating rocket ships. You know, Okay, Faith,
- 24:47Speaker 2: what did you bring in today?
- 24:52Speaker 13: Yeah?
- 24:52Speaker 14: Go ahead, what do you have there today?
- 24:54Speaker 2: Show and Tell? Who knows what faith has? Who knows
- 25:02Speaker 2: what it is?
- 25:02Speaker 7: Great?
- 25:02Speaker 14: See, everybody knows. Everybody knows. Yeah, look at all the
- 25:05Speaker 14: people that know. I know you know, so why don't
- 25:07Speaker 14: you give us that that college? Try and tell us
- 25:12Speaker 14: what you brought today, even though it's not the best thing. Okay,
- 25:19Speaker 14: you can have a seat. Thank you for showing. Just
- 25:22Speaker 14: to recap the rules, we show and then we talk
- 25:26Speaker 14: about it. That's the tell park. Who's next, Philip, Philip?
- 25:29Speaker 12: What do you have?
- 25:29Speaker 1: I bought you a rocket tips and monkeys and her pillow.
- 25:33Speaker 2: That's great, Philip.
- 25:34Speaker 7: Thank you for that has a.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Switch you to turn it on?
- 25:36Speaker 1: Dad buzz is like a rocket ship.
- 25:38Speaker 2: All right, you can have a seat now, good is it?
- 25:43Speaker 7: Okay?
- 25:44Speaker 2: Okay, you know what.
- 25:45Speaker 7: Let's do that. Who broke his rocket ship?
- 25:54Speaker 9: Oh?
- 25:55Speaker 7: Now you talk.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Myself? Joshua Mahi in the velvety tones of Al Wilson,
- 26:32Speaker 2: bring you today's Show and Tell segment. Oh man, I'm
- 26:38Speaker 2: thinking back to when I was a kid, like fourth
- 26:42Speaker 2: grade and it was Show and Tell time, and mind you,
- 26:45Speaker 2: I was an extremely shy kid. I was an extremely
- 26:48Speaker 2: smart kid. I was outgoing at recess, which in a
- 26:52Speaker 2: way ties to the entire concept of t RB. You
- 26:59Speaker 2: can look on thee and find that backstory if you
- 27:01Speaker 2: really want to. But yeah, I was a shy kid.
- 27:03Speaker 2: So when it came down to it and I was
- 27:05Speaker 2: up there staring at my twenty classmates in the front
- 27:08Speaker 2: of the classroom, I was petrified. I feel like I
- 27:13Speaker 2: can do a little better today. Oh what about me?
- 27:17Speaker 2: What about me? What about Josh?
- 27:19Speaker 12: Will you my.
- 27:23Speaker 15: All?
- 27:23Speaker 2: Right? Here we go, I'm twenty eight years old. Can't
- 27:27Speaker 2: confirm I live in Brooklyn. Did the whole commute from
- 27:32Speaker 2: Bushwick to Garden City? Yeah? I have very full and
- 27:37Speaker 2: impressive and thick facial hair that connects. Always make sure
- 27:42Speaker 2: to mention that my beer connects. I fall asleep to
- 27:48Speaker 2: New York Knicks highlights every night. I can't help myself
- 27:54Speaker 2: when people don't know how much I love that team.
- 27:56Speaker 4: Bro.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Yes, I can't fall asleep unless I turn on a
- 28:00Speaker 2: YouTube and I'm like, yes, Jalen Brunton highlight to give
- 28:03Speaker 2: it to me. But above all else, right, above everything else.
- 28:12Speaker 2: As I mentioned during the intro, I am a crazy person.
- 28:19Speaker 2: I I'm crazy, I'm psycho. I'm not your typical guy, right,
- 28:27Speaker 2: So where am I going with this? I've realized something
- 28:31Speaker 2: being a crazy person who happens to run the Recess
- 28:34Speaker 2: Belt and network for creators, pushing out original content onto
- 28:38Speaker 2: your timelines, onto your podcast downloads and feeds onto your
- 28:42Speaker 2: YouTube recommendations. For the last two years, I have realized
- 28:47Speaker 2: something and listen, I know many people and when it
- 28:53Speaker 2: comes down to the conversation again, we are a mental
- 28:55Speaker 2: health focused platform. When it comes down to the conversation
- 28:57Speaker 2: of neurotypical versus neurodivers ent, or what some kids might
- 29:03Speaker 2: call crazy versus normal, it can be It could be
- 29:10Speaker 2: a tough clash when you're trying to one is trying
- 29:12Speaker 2: to get along with the other. So when I talk
- 29:15Speaker 2: about community with the Recess Bow, and I know today
- 29:19Speaker 2: it's become sort of a buzzword and it's become over
- 29:22Speaker 2: overused and people that talk about, oh, I want to
- 29:25Speaker 2: build a community, they don't really mean it. They don't
- 29:29Speaker 2: really mean it. But what it truly means to build
- 29:33Speaker 2: a community is to build alongside like minded people or
- 29:37Speaker 2: like motivated people. We don't always think the same way.
- 29:40Speaker 2: I think our political system in this country is good
- 29:43Speaker 2: evidence of that, right, But if you're like minded, like motivated,
- 29:49Speaker 2: whatever you have, if you can find some common thread
- 29:51Speaker 2: to agree on. Whatever it is, it could be anything
- 29:55Speaker 2: in life. It could be any outlook, it could be
- 29:56Speaker 2: any career path, it could be anything. You're probably gonna
- 30:00Speaker 2: be better off with that person or that group of people.
- 30:02Speaker 2: So when it comes down to again, as speaking as
- 30:05Speaker 2: a crazy person, I can't emphasize that enough. I think
- 30:07Speaker 2: it's good context for you to have the importance of
- 30:11Speaker 2: finding people that is equally yoked with you. For all
- 30:14Speaker 2: my Bible thumpers, equally yoked. I know that's a phrase
- 30:18Speaker 2: that's said in there, aka finding your tribe. I can't
- 30:22Speaker 2: stress enough as we talk about and the theme of
- 30:24Speaker 2: today's show is avoiding building that house of cars because
- 30:28Speaker 2: a house of cards will never last. A house of
- 30:31Speaker 2: cars will never stand the test of time. When you're
- 30:35Speaker 2: with and you cultivate with people that either don't understand
- 30:41Speaker 2: you're crazy or are kind of like I don't know,
- 30:48Speaker 2: I don't know if I can do this all the time,
- 30:50Speaker 2: maybe even doses right, more than likely not going to
- 30:55Speaker 2: be able to build a long lasting foundational movement with
- 31:01Speaker 2: those people. It can go for families and friend groups.
- 31:03Speaker 2: I'm not just talking creative spaces and careers. I'm talking
- 31:06Speaker 2: all walks of life. Listen. I think the main issue
- 31:11Speaker 2: with some of my families that y'all not as crazy
- 31:14Speaker 2: as me. Like I said, I think about success twenty
- 31:16Speaker 2: four to seven. I don't know, man, y'all laying down
- 31:20Speaker 2: on the couch eating Dorito's cookie crumbs on the stomach.
- 31:23Speaker 2: I don't know if I could really get with you
- 31:24Speaker 2: like that. I don't know if I can really see you.
- 31:27Speaker 2: We don't see on the same same wavelength. So that's
- 31:32Speaker 2: what I wanted to share, just that ideology, the importance
- 31:34Speaker 2: of finding your tribe. Listen, I get it, especially since
- 31:37Speaker 2: COVID and we are going to talk about that in
- 31:38Speaker 2: the moment during the news report by Anthony Fauci for
- 31:41Speaker 2: some reason is being persecuted in court. We're going to
- 31:45Speaker 2: talk about that in a moment. But yeah, the important
- 31:49Speaker 2: to finding your tribe and locking in with them. Because
- 31:52Speaker 2: I talked about this during the team building pillar when
- 31:56Speaker 2: I wrote the House of Cards piece on the recess Ooh,
- 32:01Speaker 2: team dynamics. You know, I brought up the Knicks. I've
- 32:04Speaker 2: brought up other champions in sports because I always bring
- 32:08Speaker 2: up sports. I'm a sports fan, but sports is a
- 32:11Speaker 2: huge metaphor of life. It is the ultimate metaphor to
- 32:15Speaker 2: life as far as I'm concerned. Listen, great teams. We
- 32:19Speaker 2: just saw it with the Next Power Friendship. Three guys
- 32:22Speaker 2: that went to college together, Guys like Karl Anthony Towns,
- 32:26Speaker 2: og Ananobi come right in. All they want to do
- 32:30Speaker 2: is win. They're gonna do whatever it takes to win,
- 32:32Speaker 2: whatever sacrifice it takes, whatever shot attempts they have to
- 32:35Speaker 2: give up, They're going to do that. So I think
- 32:39Speaker 2: that just highlights how important Again, it could be a
- 32:43Speaker 2: work team, it can be a friendship group, it can
- 32:46Speaker 2: be family. The important of finding your tribe and finding
- 32:51Speaker 2: a common thread to relate on and building alongside that.
- 32:55Speaker 2: I know everyone thinks they can do everything alone. Sometimes
- 32:58Speaker 2: I get like that as a host a solo show today.
- 33:01Speaker 2: But there there's you can't experience the best of life
- 33:06Speaker 2: without that community. And not just the community that you
- 33:09Speaker 2: can you know, laugh with and then laugh and then
- 33:12Speaker 2: in their face and then go gossip behind they back
- 33:15Speaker 2: because you don't really like them and everything else. No,
- 33:18Speaker 2: it's you know, solid all the way through. That's a
- 33:20Speaker 2: solid foundation that you can build with moving forward, and
- 33:24Speaker 2: there won't be a house of cards who are like
- 33:25Speaker 2: I said, you like them, but it's not really. I
- 33:28Speaker 2: don't really love them like they are. But you know,
- 33:32Speaker 2: I'm not gonna go to the bar with them. I'm
- 33:35Speaker 2: not gonna hang out with them every day.
- 33:37Speaker 16: No.
- 33:37Speaker 2: Like, Okay, it's important to separate friends, acquaintances, put them
- 33:41Speaker 2: in boxes. Identify who it is you want to really
- 33:44Speaker 2: lock in with and who it is that just comes
- 33:46Speaker 2: and goes visiting hours in your life. That is what
- 33:50Speaker 2: I bring you for today's show. Intel and Now, as
- 33:55Speaker 2: I mentioned during the intro and minutes ago, I will say,
- 34:03Speaker 2: since Donald Trump got reelected in twenty twenty four, I
- 34:06Speaker 2: can't lie. I was skeptical for a number of reasons, right,
- 34:10Speaker 2: But there was one thing I wasn't skeptical about at all.
- 34:14Speaker 2: There was one certainty that I knew in my heart,
- 34:19Speaker 2: in my mind that Trump administration was not gonna let
- 34:24Speaker 2: us down in the entertainment value of these people.
- 34:30Speaker 7: Yo.
- 34:30Speaker 2: I know, CBS, ABC, CNN. They was hyped up when
- 34:33Speaker 2: Trump got reelected because they're like Yo, the headlines were
- 34:36Speaker 2: about to get the news coverage we about to do.
- 34:39Speaker 2: Even though he talks crazy to us, to be talking
- 34:41Speaker 2: greasy to us, you have the entertainment value. I can't
- 34:44Speaker 2: argue with it. It's unprecedented, it's historic, historic levels of entertainment,
- 34:51Speaker 2: even at a funeral. With that, I bring you today's
- 34:56Speaker 2: news report.
- 34:58Speaker 7: Sounds like a lot of It sounds like a lot
- 35:02Speaker 7: of sounds like a.
- 35:11Speaker 12: This is the Recess Bell's News Report, brought to you

- 35:33Speaker 2: As we say each and every time. If you miss
- 35:36Speaker 2: that disclaimer, I'm just a goofball in a room discussing politics,
- 35:41Speaker 2: just like how y'all would at your family table with
- 35:44Speaker 2: your friends, the bar and the group chats. If you

- 35:53Speaker 2: got one message for you.

- 35:57Speaker 2: I don't really mean that, Hey you gonna cry? If
- 36:01Speaker 2: you are gonna cry, don't cry at the Recess Bell
- 36:03Speaker 2: cry to this email. Dress WHPC at NCC dot edu
- 36:08Speaker 2: are dedicated station director will field all of your complaints
- 36:13Speaker 2: on my behalf. Even though the likelihood I'll see it
- 36:17Speaker 2: is like zero point zero zero zero zero one percent.
- 36:21Speaker 2: I'm not gonna hold you. I'm here once a week.
- 36:23Speaker 2: I don't be caring. I don't be in the mix.
- 36:26Speaker 9: You know.
- 36:27Speaker 2: I'm a sick Oh, I'm crazy. Like I said, I
- 36:29Speaker 2: get excited when I pissed people off. Gets me going
- 36:33Speaker 2: who I love it onwards. As I mentioned, the great
- 37:00Speaker 2: former senator now deceased Lindsey Graham passed away. He talked
- 37:06Speaker 2: about it two weeks ago on this very program, and
- 37:09Speaker 2: even a funeral where they're singing Chapel songs of a
- 37:14Speaker 2: Marie and all that stuff. What I said before about
- 37:19Speaker 2: the Trump administration, I really mean they can make any
- 37:22Speaker 2: type of situation vastly entertaining. I bring you exhibit A.
- 37:30Speaker 2: Here's Trump's eulogy at Lindsay Graham's funeral. He decided to
- 37:33Speaker 2: veer off the script a little bit.
- 37:35Speaker 7: He did things got in Washington.
- 37:37Speaker 13: Virtually everyone Republican or Democrat liked Lindsay.
- 37:42Speaker 7: Well, not everybody, but it sounds good. Not everybody.
- 37:47Speaker 13: He was a tough cookie. Okay, I have to be
- 37:49Speaker 13: I have to vere from this versa. He was a
- 37:52Speaker 13: tough cookie, darling, but he was beautiful, Yo.
- 38:02Speaker 2: That's what I'm talking about. Donald Uh Sean Hannity, a
- 38:09Speaker 2: Fox News host, he was at Lindsay Grant's funeral. I
- 38:13Speaker 2: guess they were great friends. And we're not going to
- 38:16Speaker 2: do the segment today, right, not going to roll out
- 38:20Speaker 2: the segment today, but real quick to shaw Boying Boying
- 38:23Speaker 2: O the week. Shell Boying Boying undoubtedly goes to Sean Handy.
- 38:29Speaker 18: Lindsay as the president, I'd argue, in my mind, probably
- 38:35Speaker 18: has a heavenly version of mar A Lago. It may
- 38:40Speaker 18: even be a little bigger. He may have a little
- 38:44Speaker 18: more golden in the oval office in his mansion in heaven.
- 38:48Speaker 18: And I wouldn't be surprised if he added one big,
- 38:50Speaker 18: beautiful ballroom and a arch somewhere on the property because
- 38:55Speaker 18: he would want to obviously duplicate his dearest friend in life,
- 39:00Speaker 18: mister president.
- 39:02Speaker 2: Now, I tweeted this and not so kind words yesterday
- 39:06Speaker 2: you Mahi media on X. I'm sorry you being need
- 39:15Speaker 2: if you need to be told to get it at
- 39:16Speaker 2: your mouth at a funeral.
- 39:19Speaker 7: I don't know.
- 39:19Speaker 2: Listen, you might be boing boy at a month Sean
- 39:22Speaker 2: handed you get over there, coalescent to Trump in so
- 39:26Speaker 2: many words at a man's funeral. How do you know
- 39:31Speaker 2: what Lindsey Graham's heaven looks like? How do we know
- 39:35Speaker 2: he's ahead? Let me stop, let me stop, let me
- 39:38Speaker 2: not get crazy, Donald Trump. Though a video of Trump,
- 39:41Speaker 2: he tends to do this now. I actually relate to
- 39:45Speaker 2: him on this in terms of being at a funeral, like, yes,
- 39:48Speaker 2: we're sad, we're crying.
- 39:50Speaker 7: No, they're gone.
- 39:53Speaker 2: I get it, but sometimes I can't lie. It's been
- 39:57Speaker 2: some funerals I've just been bored at, Like I've just
- 39:59Speaker 2: been like, yo, can we move it along?
- 40:03Speaker 1: Damn.
- 40:04Speaker 2: I didn't know this is gonna take three hours. So
- 40:06Speaker 2: they caught video of Donald Trump knocked out sleep at
- 40:10Speaker 2: Lindsey Graham's funeral. Wow, just for fun, Here's what Trump
- 40:16Speaker 2: said about Joe Biden sleeping in twenty twenty four.
- 40:19Speaker 16: He has one ability I don't have.
- 40:22Speaker 7: He sleeps.
- 40:23Speaker 16: He can sleep. This guy, he has an ability to
- 40:27Speaker 16: fall asleep while on camera. He can lie down on
- 40:31Speaker 16: one of those things and in minutes he's stone called
- 40:35Speaker 16: out anyways, got cameras.
- 40:37Speaker 7: He's a resident, so they have.
- 40:38Speaker 16: Cameras on him, and then they saw him sleeping on
- 40:41Speaker 16: the beach. Yeah, you'll never see me sleeping in front
- 40:44Speaker 16: of the can.
- 40:46Speaker 2: Oh, Donnie, We've seen you sleep in in front of
- 40:50Speaker 2: a camera a couple of times, five times, ten times,
- 40:53Speaker 2: one hundred of times. Who's counting on the recess? About
- 40:58Speaker 2: mental health section, I write about projection A lot. People
- 41:01Speaker 2: just be projecting a lot of bs onto other people.
- 41:04Speaker 2: They own bs onto other people. Brovia calling out Joe
- 41:08Speaker 2: Biden sleeping over a sleeping double time. I mentioned doctor
- 41:16Speaker 2: Fauci earlier, the famed COVID activists, if you want to
- 41:20Speaker 2: call him, he was the main guy. As the former
- 41:23Speaker 2: head of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases,
- 41:27Speaker 2: he was the main one really telling everybody to mask up, quarantine,
- 41:30Speaker 2: stay inside. A lot of people weren't happy with staying inside.
- 41:33Speaker 2: Apparently this includes Representative Bernie Moreno, he's six years later saying,
- 41:37Speaker 2: who the fuck do you think you were for doing that?
- 41:40Speaker 17: It is a total disgrace what he did to this country.
- 41:44Speaker 17: And if my Democrat colleagues are standing there defending you,
- 41:47Speaker 17: I hope the voters the United States of America watched
- 41:50Speaker 17: the clips of every one of you doting on a
- 41:54Speaker 17: guy who was more interested in being a celebrity than
- 41:58Speaker 17: saving American people.
- 42:01Speaker 4: Oh.
- 42:01Speaker 2: By the way, doctor Fauci pleaded the fifth at this
- 42:04Speaker 2: hearing one hundred and eleven times. At least, yo, man
- 42:09Speaker 2: that honestly, I feel doctor Fauci, y'all wasting my time.
- 42:13Speaker 2: I'm not saying nothing to y'all. What do y'all want
- 42:15Speaker 2: from me? Whatever I say is not gonna make me
- 42:18Speaker 2: more likable in your view, We're wasting time here. And
- 42:22Speaker 2: by the way, Bernie Marino, Yo, where is this tone
- 42:25Speaker 2: from y'all in Congress when it comes to the Epstein
- 42:29Speaker 2: fil what?
- 42:32Speaker 4: Ugh?
- 42:36Speaker 2: Keep it bipartisan? The real man we need to be
- 42:40Speaker 2: listening to about health in this country is the Secretary
- 42:43Speaker 2: of Health, Robert F. Kennedy Junior.
- 42:45Speaker 12: Am I right?
- 42:48Speaker 2: He rehashed recently his notorious views on the quote increased
- 42:53Speaker 2: prevalence end quote of autism in America with a new twist,
- 42:59Speaker 2: this time the circumcision of babies.
- 43:04Speaker 19: Yeah, there's also just there's many many other confronted confirmation
- 43:08Speaker 19: studies on it. There's two studies that show children who
- 43:13Speaker 19: are circumcised early have doubled the rate of puppetism. And
- 43:16Speaker 19: it's highly likely because they're given til you know, none
- 43:20Speaker 19: of this is this positive of all of it, I
- 43:24Speaker 19: hope we should be paying attention to.
- 43:26Speaker 16: Yeah, but you know, there's a tremendous amount of of
- 43:30Speaker 16: proof for evidence.
- 43:31Speaker 7: I would say it's a non doctor.
- 43:33Speaker 2: But I've studied this a long time ago.
- 43:35Speaker 7: You know, I'm Bob.
- 43:37Speaker 2: He studied a long time the circumcision of babies leading
- 43:41Speaker 2: to taylan no usage leading to autism outstanding. Like I said,
- 43:49Speaker 2: I might tell you a lot of things, but I'll
- 43:51Speaker 2: never tell you a lot. The entertainment value. You can't
- 43:54Speaker 2: get it nowhere else. Let's keep it local kind of
- 43:59Speaker 2: New York City. Or it's been known since January first
- 44:03Speaker 2: of this year as Mom Donnie stan just secured another win.
- 44:12Speaker 2: Mom Donnie in his office did another win for lower
- 44:15Speaker 2: income New Yorkers.
- 44:18Speaker 7: Here's how it will work.
- 44:19Speaker 20: Once a month, our five city run grocery stores will
