- 0:13Speaker 1: It is time to leave your worries outside and laugh
- 0:17Speaker 1: with us inside the Treehouse. I'm Daniel Malley along with
- 0:20Speaker 1: Trey Trenholm and Raj Sharma on Thursday September twelfth, twenty
- 0:28Speaker 1: twenty four. We're getting down to the end of the week,
- 0:36Speaker 1: and what better way to end the week than by
- 0:39Speaker 1: two of the three Treehouse cast members being sick. And
- 0:47Speaker 1: I'm the only one talking right now. You can assume
- 0:49Speaker 1: it's Trey and Raj because both have already sent me disclaimers, Yes,
- 0:56Speaker 1: saying I don't feel good. Why you have to carry everything?
- 1:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I had to to tell you that because I
- 1:07Speaker 2: got I got the VID.
- 1:08Speaker 1: Oh you got the VID.
- 1:10Speaker 2: I got the VID?
- 1:11Speaker 1: Which which which installment in the COVID franchise?
- 1:15Speaker 2: Are you on?
- 1:15Speaker 1: Are you on? Two?
- 1:16Speaker 3: Three?
- 1:16Speaker 4: Four?
- 1:17Speaker 1: Are you god? I hope you're not on COVID five
- 1:20Speaker 1: because we all know how Rocky five turned out.
- 1:22Speaker 2: No, I'm vaxed. I have had two boosters. I got
- 1:27Speaker 2: the newest variant, which apparently all the kids in school have.
- 1:33Speaker 2: Oh the cool kids, all the all all the school
- 1:36Speaker 2: kids have the VID and my my, my girlfriend's daughter
- 1:43Speaker 2: brought it home. Uh as a gift for all of us. Uh,
- 1:47Speaker 2: And so I am stuck with that. I don't know
- 1:50Speaker 2: what variant it is, but it's the one that I
- 1:53Speaker 2: really can't stay awake and I kind of kind of
- 1:56Speaker 2: like to throw.
- 1:56Speaker 1: Up, you know what. I appreciate the sacrifice as you
- 2:00Speaker 1: were making on the viral marketing front and marketing to
- 2:06Speaker 1: our gen z, and I think it flips around at
- 2:10Speaker 1: a certain point to like gin alpha whatever it is
- 2:13Speaker 1: listener base, Well.
- 2:14Speaker 2: She listens and her friends listen, so they'll be aware
- 2:18Speaker 2: that she gave me the vid.
- 2:21Speaker 1: Nice. Nice. So now does that make you the cool
- 2:25Speaker 1: stepdad type because you've got the VID with them? Or
- 2:28Speaker 1: is that one of those.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Well or is it?
- 2:32Speaker 1: Or is it one of those embarrassing videos of parents
- 2:35Speaker 1: trying to talk to their gen z kids?
- 2:37Speaker 2: And oh no, no, she's she's she's been embarrassed of me
- 2:40Speaker 2: since she was eleven. She's sixteen.
- 2:42Speaker 1: Now it's important to uh, it's important to set the
- 2:45Speaker 1: expectation early on.
- 2:47Speaker 2: Yeah. I think I buy lunch every day and we
- 2:53Speaker 2: have some sort of soup or sandwich and so we
- 2:56Speaker 2: bond on that. So I think I think I wouldn't
- 2:59Speaker 2: step dad thing. But it is one of those like
- 3:03Speaker 2: I can't stay awake long, like she'll be in the
- 3:06Speaker 2: middle of a story. And I'm doing that because it
- 3:11Speaker 2: really is exhausting, And is.
- 3:12Speaker 1: There really is Is that really because of the COVID
- 3:15Speaker 1: or is that more of an indictment on her storytelling
- 3:20Speaker 1: COVID smart man? For a second there, I thought he
- 3:25Speaker 1: froze because physically, Raj, you froze. But the only reason
- 3:29Speaker 1: I knew that you were stalling was the ceiling fan
- 3:32Speaker 1: going in the background.
- 3:34Speaker 5: For a second, Dan, I was waiting for you to
- 3:36Speaker 5: all of a sudden combust because I'm pretty sure he was.
- 3:40Speaker 3: He was thinking it.
- 3:43Speaker 2: You're not hearing one? Yeah, yeah, and and and we
- 3:47Speaker 2: got Trey has never had the VID.
- 3:49Speaker 3: But really, no, I still I've never had had COVID.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Uh. Well, do you have all the various vaccines and
- 3:58Speaker 1: boosters and and I'm assuming I mean tales that Raj
- 4:01Speaker 1: has sprouted or or have you been BACKX free?
- 4:06Speaker 3: No, I've been. I've been.
- 4:07Speaker 5: Uh, I have not gotten a booster in uh probably
- 4:13Speaker 5: a year. But no, I got vaccinated and everything else. Yeah,
- 4:17Speaker 5: I just I have Monday. I think it started Monday,
- 4:20Speaker 5: Monday or Tuesday. But I felt great all.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Day and then.
- 4:28Speaker 5: Uh, All of a sudden at night, I felt my
- 4:33Speaker 5: I literally I felt my throat and like my limp
- 4:36Speaker 5: notes swelling up. I started getting a sore throat and
- 4:38Speaker 5: I'm like, and I've I've been just fatigued as hell.
- 4:42Speaker 5: Which I didn't even think about taking him uh COVID test,
- 4:46Speaker 5: but I guess I will.
- 4:50Speaker 1: We could be witnessing your COVID cherry being popped.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Yeah, and you get to take off work and they
- 4:59Speaker 2: still have to pay you. So, I mean you can
- 5:03Speaker 2: you can thank Biden for that.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Goddamn entitlements sick and expect to get paid. I don't
- 5:11Speaker 1: want to pay that, I know. Roger told me, sorry forget.
- 5:14Speaker 1: How many times, no, have you had COVID?
- 5:19Speaker 2: I've had it three times now?
- 5:20Speaker 1: Three times?
- 5:21Speaker 2: Yeah? Three times?
- 5:22Speaker 1: How many times have you been vaxed and boosted?
- 5:24Speaker 2: Uh? So I got it before when I was in California.
- 5:29Speaker 2: I got it before the vax. I got vaxxed here
- 5:33Speaker 2: at fair Park. I went through the whole drive through.
- 5:36Speaker 2: I volunteered to do the boost and flu shot same time.
- 5:41Speaker 1: Gotcha, bat.
- 5:43Speaker 2: I don't know why they do that, because you'll get
- 5:46Speaker 2: one or the other. Because the vax the vax doesn't hit.
- 5:52Speaker 2: So NICKI brought that home and I got COVID again.
- 5:57Speaker 2: And now there's the Omicron variant, and then there's the
- 6:00Speaker 2: next one after that that all the kids in school
- 6:02Speaker 2: have the.
- 6:03Speaker 1: Gen Z variant. We'll just call it that. Yeah, the
- 6:05Speaker 1: TikTok variant. How about that? You know?
- 6:08Speaker 2: Yeah, so I have the TMU variant.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Oh nice, lucky you.
- 6:13Speaker 2: I'm the Alibaba variant.
- 6:16Speaker 1: All right, So you've had it three times, Trey, this
- 6:18Speaker 1: might be your first, pending the outcome of a COVID test,
- 6:21Speaker 1: And as far as I know, I've only had it once. Yeah,
- 6:25Speaker 1: and I got I got a vaccine and then like
- 6:28Speaker 1: the following week we had it and we think and
- 6:31Speaker 1: this this was back in twenty twenty one, early twenty
- 6:34Speaker 1: twenty one, and we think that while we had it
- 6:39Speaker 1: for a solid week, we think that our symptoms weren't
- 6:42Speaker 1: as bad as they could have been because we had
- 6:45Speaker 1: just had, you know, the old tail growing vaccine. So
- 6:50Speaker 1: don't really know, I know that don't have it currently,
- 6:54Speaker 1: which is nice. And then Trey, have you ever had
- 6:58Speaker 1: the COVID test where they check your brain with a
- 7:00Speaker 1: really long Q tip mm hmm, Okay, just making sure
- 7:03Speaker 1: want to make sure everyone got to experience that at
- 7:07Speaker 1: least once in their lives.
- 7:09Speaker 2: Did you have to do it to yourself? Though?
- 7:13Speaker 1: I don't remember if we ever had to do self
- 7:18Speaker 1: brain poke tests. Yeah, I've done like the spit test
- 7:20Speaker 1: at home, But did we do the brain poke test ourselves? See,
- 7:23Speaker 1: here's the problem with the self COVID test, where you're
- 7:26Speaker 1: poking your own brain with a really long Q tip.
- 7:29Speaker 1: I don't like things entering my skull period. Right with
- 7:34Speaker 1: all the head injuries I've had as a child, of
- 7:36Speaker 1: which some of some of which are well documented here
- 7:40Speaker 1: inside the show, I'm a little I'm a little squeamish
- 7:43Speaker 1: when it comes to getting things around my cranium, let
- 7:45Speaker 1: alone inside of it. So I really can't be trusted
- 7:48Speaker 1: with myself to do my own brain poke test.
- 7:51Speaker 2: Yeah, you'll find out how like what your pain threshold is.
- 7:55Speaker 2: You'd be like, oh, I can do tattoos, I can
- 7:57Speaker 2: do ear rings. I can do when it.
- 7:59Speaker 1: Gets a out there halfway up your nose.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Yeah, your inner bitch comes right out. No, that's I
- 8:08Speaker 2: did that the other day. I was like, how far
- 8:10Speaker 2: up do I have to go? And you have to
- 8:12Speaker 2: do three times on each side and then and then
- 8:16Speaker 2: you put it in the liquid and then you find
- 8:17Speaker 2: out if you have it or not.
- 8:19Speaker 1: Here's the great irony with that is I will Q
- 8:21Speaker 1: tip my ear all day because my god, that feels good.
- 8:26Speaker 1: I know you're not supposed to do it, but I
- 8:28Speaker 1: get in there, go past the ear wax, get in
- 8:31Speaker 1: there and get some some brain residue on the end
- 8:33Speaker 1: of it. That's how I know I really got it clean.
- 8:35Speaker 1: Oh God, that feels good.
- 8:37Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Shoving that thing up my nose, I immediately start doing the
- 8:41Speaker 1: face you make on that noster.
- 8:42Speaker 3: He's like, oh, I can't.
- 8:44Speaker 1: It just just completely incapacitating.
- 8:46Speaker 2: Yeah, there's a reason they have a term called an
- 8:49Speaker 2: eargasm because you can get in there and be like, yeah,
- 8:53Speaker 2: all day. There's no nosegasm, because this one was like
- 8:57Speaker 2: you just want it to end.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Although, now that I think about it, just hearing the
- 9:01Speaker 1: word nos gasm makes you think that maybe there's a
- 9:04Speaker 1: new you know, like horror franchise to be made.
- 9:07Speaker 2: I don't know, Oh, okay, because.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Remember they had Remember they had the dentist one back
- 9:11Speaker 1: when we were kids with Doctor Giggles. Wasn't that his name?
- 9:16Speaker 1: He was like the r like the slasher film Dentist.
- 9:20Speaker 2: So you started watching bad movies at what age?
- 9:24Speaker 1: Okay, I'm gonna do something. You're going to see this
- 9:27Speaker 1: happen in real time? Okay, right up against a break,
- 9:30Speaker 1: but I'm gonna do this in real time. I don't
- 9:32Speaker 1: remember the name of the film. It might be Doctor
- 9:35Speaker 1: Giggles or whatever, but I believe the character's name, the
- 9:38Speaker 1: bad guy, the villain, the one that's killing everyone. I
- 9:41Speaker 1: think his name was, or at least referenced, was Doctor Giggles.
- 9:46Speaker 1: If my memory serves which it doesn't usually, But if
- 9:51Speaker 1: my memory serves me right now, I think that movie
- 9:54Speaker 1: came out around nineteen ninety because I remember being in
- 9:58Speaker 1: my grandmother's house on Ledgstone in Dallas and seeing it
- 10:04Speaker 1: on like a HBO free preview thing. And it starred
- 10:08Speaker 1: the guy that played Doctor Giggles again, if I have
- 10:10Speaker 1: this correct, was the guy that played the special needs
- 10:13Speaker 1: character Lenny on La Law. So now I'm gonna now,
- 10:22Speaker 1: I'm gonna go google and.
- 10:23Speaker 3: I know who you're talking about.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Thank you, Trey.
- 10:27Speaker 2: So they just left you in front of the TV.
- 10:28Speaker 2: Is that how it worked?
- 10:30Speaker 1: I may have been raised by by by television and film.
- 10:33Speaker 5: Sure there wasn't some you know, long term adoption study,
- 10:38Speaker 5: you know, psychological trauma program you were on.
- 10:42Speaker 1: What do you mean, like the Bourne Identity for adopted kids?
- 10:46Speaker 2: Yeah? Born, no identity?
- 10:48Speaker 1: Uh uh? Born? Who am I? Where do I come from?
- 10:57Speaker 2: Starring a different? Damon? The different It's not even Matt,
- 11:05Speaker 2: it's just some other Damon. No?
- 11:08Speaker 1: No, I was a dumpster Damon.
- 11:14Speaker 2: Your parents were dumpster.
- 11:17Speaker 1: No tossing yage. I was unwanted.
- 11:21Speaker 2: I thought that the people that got you might have
- 11:23Speaker 2: got you out of.
- 11:25Speaker 1: Maybe that was how I was found. I don't know,
- 11:27Speaker 1: like maybe at the Walmart. But no, that's that's where
- 11:31Speaker 1: I was handed off.
- 11:33Speaker 2: Okay, Sorry, I didn't mean to mess up.
- 11:36Speaker 1: Your stories about my sad early existence. Straight.
- 11:43Speaker 2: I got to see this doctor. I think it was
- 11:45Speaker 2: called doctrine. I think you're right.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Coming up next, let's find out if I was right
- 11:51Speaker 1: and if my brain still works after all the long
- 11:54Speaker 1: Q tip tests.
- 12:00Speaker 6: Visit us online at treehouseonair dot com.
- 12:10Speaker 1: Eight three three COOKDFW. That is the phone number for
- 12:13Speaker 1: COOKDFW Roofing and Restoration. To get your free roof inspection.
- 12:17Speaker 1: That's the number to call and to get yourself on
- 12:20Speaker 1: the cook list. That's also the number to call. And
- 12:22Speaker 1: if you have some fun projects like remodeling and things,
- 12:25Speaker 1: they can help you with that as well. Call that
- 12:26Speaker 1: same number and go to the website to see some
- 12:28Speaker 1: of that work cookdfw dot com. But that's not all
- 12:32Speaker 1: you do, Daniel. You also go the extra mile for
- 12:34Speaker 1: people if they have insurance claim issues, don't you.
- 12:37Speaker 3: Yes, we absolutely do.
- 12:39Speaker 4: We speak insurance basically, so that is a different type
- 12:43Speaker 4: of language and if your contractor does not speak insurance,
- 12:46Speaker 4: you will be in You will fall on the wrong
- 12:50Speaker 4: side of the coin there. Insurance are written up in
- 12:53Speaker 4: a specific way. You have to know their terminologies, you
- 12:56Speaker 4: have to know their programs, how the instruments are written.
- 12:59Speaker 4: And just be cause you gett an insurance estimate does
- 13:01Speaker 4: not mean that that is going to be the amount
- 13:04Speaker 4: of money that actually the product or the process or
- 13:07Speaker 4: the job is going to call for. So you have
- 13:09Speaker 4: to file supplements. You have to know what the real
- 13:12Speaker 4: market value is on those repairs, and you need somebody
- 13:16Speaker 4: in your corner because I'm sure you're going to be
- 13:18Speaker 4: busy working probably paying for it. And so if you
- 13:22Speaker 4: do not speak insurance, you will get caught unfortunately on
- 13:25Speaker 4: the wrong side of that.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Yeah, So the normal metaphor would be getting caught with
- 13:31Speaker 1: your pants down. In this situation, it might be getting
- 13:34Speaker 1: caught with your roof off, and you don't want that
- 13:37Speaker 1: to happen to you. So called Daniel, he speaks insurance
- 13:40Speaker 1: eight three to three Cook DFW eight three three Cook
- 13:43Speaker 1: DFW or again that website cookdfw dot com.
- 13:58Speaker 6: You're in good tree house visit us online at Treehouse
- 14:02Speaker 6: on air dot com.
- 14:06Speaker 1: That first segment brought to us by fair Least to
- 14:09Speaker 1: get your new vehicle. To save time and money, contact
- 14:13Speaker 1: our folks at fair Least the website Fairleas dot org,
- 14:17Speaker 1: Fairlease dot o RG, call email once you're on that
- 14:20Speaker 1: website and get all the information that you want and

- 14:27Speaker 1: is more cost effective than buying and uh. You can
- 14:31Speaker 1: also take advantage of no money down and no payments
- 14:34Speaker 1: for ninety days for those who qualify. And you could
- 14:36Speaker 1: save time on getting that new vehicle because you don't
- 14:38Speaker 1: have to waste a bunch of time at a dealership.
- 14:39Speaker 1: Left dealership, although that was a pretty good forty slip.
- 14:43Speaker 1: You can save a bunch of time using fair least.
- 14:46Speaker 1: They do everything for you. Bring the car, sign the
- 14:49Speaker 1: paperwork electronically, fairlease dot org. I have good news I've
- 14:56Speaker 1: got for you, gentlemen. The trailer for the nineteen ninety
- 15:01Speaker 1: two film I was two years off nineteen ninety two
- 15:04Speaker 1: film Doctor Giggles, and it does in fact star Larry Drake,
- 15:11Speaker 1: who played Benny, the special needs assistant from the TV
- 15:17Speaker 1: show La Law. So I had it wrong. I had Lenny.
- 15:19Speaker 1: I guess I had of mice and men in mind.
- 15:22Speaker 1: But he plays Bennie, and that's how I knew him.
- 15:29Speaker 1: That's how I knew this actor. His name, his name
- 15:31Speaker 1: is Larry Drake. He passed away in twenty sixteen. But honestly,
- 15:34Speaker 1: on La Law.
- 15:35Speaker 5: Now that I think about it, I'm sure they titled
- 15:39Speaker 5: that character Benny for that very reason.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Absolutely, it was an absolute hat tip to the original
- 15:46Speaker 1: and the inspiration for the role. Although I don't think
- 15:50Speaker 1: in La Law you ever came in on Benny in
- 15:52Speaker 1: the break room like snuffing out lawyers or pair of legals,
- 15:57Speaker 1: although that would have been an interesting episode made for
- 16:00Speaker 1: a better show. Stephen Bochco really knows how to tap
- 16:04Speaker 1: into the things we want to watch. It's sad that
- 16:08Speaker 1: I'm about ninety percent sure that actually was a Stephen
- 16:11Speaker 1: Bochcow show. Anyways. Yeah, okay, So Larry Drake was also
- 16:19Speaker 1: the bad guy in Dark Man starring Liam Neeson, and
- 16:24Speaker 1: that I believe was actually nineteen ninety.
- 16:28Speaker 2: I thought that was Alec Baldwin. No, okay, it was.
- 16:32Speaker 1: Liam, although I guarantee you, even though he's passed somewhere,
- 16:35Speaker 1: Larry Drake is thankful that you mistook him for Alec Baldwin.
- 16:41Speaker 2: I got to see this trailer.
- 16:43Speaker 1: Now, all right, here we go. I was actually I'll
- 16:48Speaker 1: wait for that part until till after we witnessed this.
- 16:50Speaker 1: Doctor Giggles nineteen ninety two from Scream Factory follow up
- 17:00Speaker 1: preview been approved for all audiences from Universal, an mc
- 17:02Speaker 1: A company. Mm hmmm, heartbeat, it's syringe.
- 17:12Speaker 3: I got the textbooks, the diagrams, the divers. This is
- 17:16Speaker 3: the real thing.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Scalpel m.
- 17:22Speaker 7: Bigger scalpel.
- 17:24Speaker 1: Oh, that's a very scalpel.
- 17:28Speaker 2: Sword machete.
- 17:34Speaker 3: Section h m hmm, well.
- 17:40Speaker 2: Attractor m h.
- 17:44Speaker 1: And colorized. That doesn't look healthy.
- 17:50Speaker 7: Intestines.
- 17:52Speaker 1: The right bone cutter, bone cutter. You know so far.
- 17:58Speaker 1: If you didn't know, you would just think that Biddy
- 18:00Speaker 1: from l A Law has taken a dark turn. Like
- 18:07Speaker 1: he left the law office and decided to go assist
- 18:09Speaker 1: in in in a surgery center.
- 18:12Speaker 2: He just rented the space next door. What why do
- 18:20Speaker 2: we have a bone? Saw this fall.
- 18:24Speaker 1: Over there?
- 18:26Speaker 7: The doctor is out, you know, mister Christ his mind.
- 18:36Speaker 7: It only hurts when I laugh. Don't worry.
- 18:50Speaker 1: Doctor Giggles available now at shout Factory dot com on
- 18:56Speaker 1: Blu Ray DVD.
- 18:59Speaker 2: And you wants this beginning to end?
- 19:03Speaker 1: I think it may have even seen the sequel.
- 19:06Speaker 2: There can't be a sequel. There can't be Doctor Giggles too.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Oh, come on, raj he giggles more. We've had to
- 19:17Speaker 1: We've had to postpone your appointment for the doctor.
- 19:21Speaker 2: There can't be a Doctor Giggles too. There's no way
- 19:24Speaker 2: Hollywood gave them that money. The first one. I can
- 19:27Speaker 2: see the first one. They're like, hey, here's a horror story.
- 19:32Speaker 2: Everybody hates the dentist. We can make this. This might
- 19:37Speaker 2: be something that catches, and then it clearly didn't.
- 19:44Speaker 1: Well, I think it's I think you gotta be careful
- 19:45Speaker 1: about catching something around Doctor Giggles, because I don't think
- 19:49Speaker 1: you want him extracting it.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Is there a Giggles too? Did that happen? Did you
- 19:55Speaker 2: watch that one as well?
- 19:56Speaker 1: There's definitely a Giggles too? Hang on, we see here?
- 20:00Speaker 2: No, no, you didn't answer my question. Did you watch that
- 20:02Speaker 2: one as well?
- 20:03Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't remember everything. Look, I was
- 20:06Speaker 1: lucky or unlucky to remember all the details about.
- 20:09Speaker 2: The first one.
- 20:11Speaker 1: He's got five point three out of ten on IMDb
- 20:13Speaker 1: and twenty three percent on Rotten Tomatoes.
- 20:18Speaker 2: I have twenty three on Rotten Tomatoes and I haven't
- 20:20Speaker 2: made a movie.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like you get a it's kind of like
- 20:24Speaker 1: the SATs. You get some points just forgetting your name
- 20:26Speaker 1: on there.
- 20:27Speaker 2: Two hundred yep.
- 20:30Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't I can't see. It's too
- 20:33Speaker 1: much searching on the fly. Okay, there's there's not enough
- 20:36Speaker 1: Wikipedia information on the Doctor Giggles movie to know how
- 20:40Speaker 1: many follow ups and sequels it may or may not
- 20:43Speaker 1: have had.
- 20:44Speaker 2: And I don't know who the guy you're saying like
- 20:46Speaker 2: he was a special needs guy on La Law.
- 20:49Speaker 1: Yeah, remember Benny.
- 20:53Speaker 2: I never watched La Law.
- 20:54Speaker 1: Oh well, then then you wouldn't know. How about Harry
- 20:57Speaker 1: Hamlin and what was it Susan Day and Larry Drake.
- 21:01Speaker 1: The guy that played Doctor.
- 21:02Speaker 2: Giggles Corbyn Burnson was on that right, Yep, yep, he
- 21:04Speaker 2: was awesome on that. I mean, like I knew Quirky
- 21:08Speaker 2: from Life goes On, but I never saw one episode,
- 21:10Speaker 2: so I mean they would highlight.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Although that would have made for an interesting doctor. That
- 21:14Speaker 1: would have made for an interesting Doctor Giggles sequel. Is
- 21:17Speaker 1: if Larry Drake said no, no, no, I'm too big
- 21:19Speaker 1: to do the sequels, So they got the guy that
- 21:21Speaker 1: played Quirky from Life goes On to take over the role.
- 21:24Speaker 2: Isn't it sad that nobody knows his name?
- 21:28Speaker 1: It's Chris, we just call him Quirky.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Well, he's like, I'm Doug.
- 21:34Speaker 1: I really think his name is Chris, is it? I'm
- 21:37Speaker 1: pretty sure they're gonna make me look it up, aren't you? Okay?
- 21:42Speaker 2: You would know?
- 21:43Speaker 1: No, I don't. This is why I have to look
- 21:44Speaker 1: things up. Chris Burke, I was right, his name's Chris,
- 21:49Speaker 1: but you're right, he's forever known as Quirky.
- 21:52Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 21:52Speaker 1: That's the difficult thing about being typecast is you have
- 21:59Speaker 1: to do a lot of things successfully to get away
- 22:03Speaker 1: from that, right, It never really happened for Adam West
- 22:06Speaker 1: to where eventually, you know, because he was always known
- 22:08Speaker 1: as Batman from the sixties, and then eventually he just
- 22:11Speaker 1: had to embrace the fact that he was Batman, and
- 22:13Speaker 1: then eventually he was just best known for being Adam West,
- 22:17Speaker 1: like on Family Guy, right, the guy that played Corky
- 22:20Speaker 1: on Life Goes On. I mean, I have an uncle
- 22:23Speaker 1: Corky on my mom's side, and according to his ex
- 22:30Speaker 1: wife and my mom that he lived up to the
- 22:32Speaker 1: name even But yeah, I mean, you're Chris Burke, the
- 22:37Speaker 1: actor who has down syndrome, who's betraying Corky on Life
- 22:39Speaker 1: Goes On, And he's known as Corky because we haven't
- 22:41Speaker 1: really seen him do anything since then. Neil Patrick Harris,
- 22:44Speaker 1: on the other hand, was type cast as Doogie Houser
- 22:46Speaker 1: for a long amount of time. Then he eventually did
- 22:49Speaker 1: some other stuff and that kind of got pushed back.
- 22:51Speaker 1: He's known as that, but he's not only known as Doogie.
- 22:54Speaker 2: Didn't Adam West do one of the like softcore porn stuff?
- 22:59Speaker 2: Did he do that?
- 23:02Speaker 1: You know what? You start googling things and finding out
- 23:06Speaker 1: asking me questions.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Well, I left my phone in the other room, but
- 23:11Speaker 2: I think he did one of the what those the
- 23:15Speaker 2: movies we're talking about the other day, the softcore porn
- 23:19Speaker 2: movies that were on Emmanuel, I think she did one.
- 23:23Speaker 2: I think he did one of those.
- 23:25Speaker 5: Think I feel like if we would have as much
- 23:27Speaker 5: as Russ was an Adam West fan, I feel like
- 23:29Speaker 5: we would have known that.
- 23:31Speaker 1: Uh huh and a fan of porn. Now we did know.
- 23:35Speaker 1: We did know about the Mickey Rourke softcore film, the
- 23:39Speaker 1: the White Lily, the White Lotus or whatever the hell
- 23:41Speaker 1: it was called. And that was supposed to be like
- 23:44Speaker 1: his his baby, that was supposed to be like his
- 23:46Speaker 1: like mega film kind of thing, and it was just.
- 23:48Speaker 2: Kind of and a half weeks.
- 23:50Speaker 1: That's different. Okay, I'm doing a lot of thinking, but
- 23:55Speaker 1: not a lot of knowing.
- 23:59Speaker 2: It's a VID.
- 24:03Speaker 1: Yeah, you got COVID brain and that's a real thing.
- 24:06Speaker 2: It is, really But I will be better tomorrow. Mickey
- 24:12Speaker 2: work was in nine and a half weeks, right, mm hmm.
- 24:15Speaker 5: Thet he did White Sands, which was him and uh.
- 24:20Speaker 1: I I just saw that.
- 24:23Speaker 2: Wow. Anytime bad movies need to show up, I just
- 24:28Speaker 2: need to ask.
- 24:28Speaker 8: The two of you, like one of you has seen
- 24:31Speaker 8: it White Sands, What was the what was the movie about?
- 24:39Speaker 1: Gosh see, I think we can deserve credit. Just because
- 24:43Speaker 1: we saw a bad movie doesn't make us bad.
- 24:48Speaker 2: It just means.
- 24:49Speaker 1: It just means we were interested enough or had had
- 24:51Speaker 1: two hours to kill and so we watched something way
- 24:54Speaker 1: back in our past. The problem comes in is if
- 24:58Speaker 1: we're like if Trey's running a White Sands Facebook group,
- 25:02Speaker 1: or if if I'm secretly part of the Doctor Giggles
- 25:07Speaker 1: fan club type thing, which I'm not. I just have
- 25:11Speaker 1: to know a lot of random information about it and
- 25:13Speaker 1: it's cast.
- 25:16Speaker 2: But if they invited you, would you be.
- 25:19Speaker 1: In the Doctor Giggles fan club? Rag? There are very
- 25:23Speaker 1: few links I will not go to to market this show.
- 25:28Speaker 1: I need to consider all options.
- 25:32Speaker 2: If he invited you to his only Giggles page, would
- 25:36Speaker 2: you go?
- 25:40Speaker 1: Maybe? And I may or may not make my little
- 25:42Speaker 1: headline the doctor is in. Look, sometimes it's just nice
- 25:49Speaker 1: to be wanted, Okay.
- 25:55Speaker 2: Even if he's on some sort of medication and there's
- 25:59Speaker 2: a bone saw a retractor, which I don't know why
- 26:01Speaker 2: any dentists would have.
- 26:03Speaker 1: Well, that's that's the one thing I did get wrong.
- 26:05Speaker 1: He was not a dentist. Oh No, I think I
- 26:08Speaker 1: think I think I've conflated that with a different horror franchise.
- 26:11Speaker 1: But the rest of everything else I said about Doctor
- 26:13Speaker 1: Giggles was correct because even uh like, I think he
- 26:19Speaker 1: was like a surgeon that goes mad. Basically that's Doctor Giggles.
- 26:24Speaker 3: And doing a brief search on that.
- 26:27Speaker 5: Actually the movie was based so there were two books
- 26:30Speaker 5: about Doctor Giggles. The movie was based on the second book,
- 26:34Speaker 5: first book. I guess they never went back and made
- 26:37Speaker 5: the first one.
- 26:38Speaker 1: Is it because it was it was just too scary.
- 26:43Speaker 5: Yeah, I think they felt like they had peaked out
- 26:45Speaker 5: with the second one.
- 26:50Speaker 2: They didn't know that they knew there was going to
- 26:51Speaker 2: be a third, So that means.
- 26:54Speaker 1: It took a similar approach that supposedly George Lucas did
- 26:57Speaker 1: with Star Wars, because he says that he had all
- 27:00Speaker 1: the stories, the whole thing already mapped out, but he
- 27:03Speaker 1: decided to make a new Hope, which was technically in
- 27:06Speaker 1: the middle of the whole story, because he felt like
- 27:08Speaker 1: that was the one that, in case he couldn't make
- 27:10Speaker 1: any more, that would be the best standalone, which I
- 27:14Speaker 1: still think is a lie.
- 27:18Speaker 2: I know, after Empire, I never saw another movie.
- 27:26Speaker 1: Ever again.
- 27:28Speaker 3: Nope, you never saw a return of the Jedi.
- 27:32Speaker 1: Yep, you don't even know what an ewok is.
- 27:35Speaker 2: I did, I've seen I had a dong that we
- 27:38Speaker 2: called ewok, and I looked it up. I know what
- 27:42Speaker 2: it is. I don't know why they is.
- 27:46Speaker 1: But you know, that's actually a pretty good summation. Let's
- 27:51Speaker 1: leave it there.
- 28:01Speaker 9: You're listening to the tree House. Visit is online a
- 28:04Speaker 9: treehouseonair dot com.
- 28:14Speaker 1: Let's get Jacqueline from Brooks Plumbing into the Treehouse now
- 28:16Speaker 1: for any and all of your plumbing once and needs.
- 28:19Speaker 1: Give her a call two one four thirty six, eight
- 28:21Speaker 1: thirty eight thirty eight the website Brooks Plumbing, Texas dot com. Jacqueline.
- 28:25Speaker 1: I know it varies depending on the situation and the
- 28:28Speaker 1: crisis at hand, but when someone calls you at Brooks Plumbing,
- 28:32Speaker 1: usually about how long is it before you are able
- 28:34Speaker 1: to get someone out to give them a hand?
- 28:36Speaker 10: This is my favorite question. So we're same or next
- 28:39Speaker 10: day at the latest. However, for most people, the real emergency,
- 28:46Speaker 10: in my opinion, is when there's water act not like
- 28:49Speaker 10: sewer water, but like clean potable water in the house
- 28:52Speaker 10: leaking from up to down or from down to up.
- 28:56Speaker 10: If it's a slably pushing in. If it is like
- 28:58Speaker 10: a massive I mean to say, it's even a freeze break.
- 29:02Speaker 10: I love for people to know where their homeowner bout
- 29:05Speaker 10: boxes so they can shut the water on and off
- 29:07Speaker 10: by themselves. I always tell people go kick around the
- 29:11Speaker 10: mulch in your flower bed and see if you have one.
- 29:13Speaker 10: You're not guaranteed to have one, depending on how old
- 29:15Speaker 10: your house is, but go to home depot and buy
- 29:18Speaker 10: that eight to twelve dollars meter key that takes the
- 29:22Speaker 10: meter lid off. And I don't tell anyone I told
- 29:24Speaker 10: you to do it. But in an emergency, shut the
- 29:26Speaker 10: water off at the meter. Worst case scenario. Hang up
- 29:30Speaker 10: with me, and I'll tell you all the time. Literally
- 29:33Speaker 10: dull nine to one one. Ask for the fire department.
- 29:34Speaker 10: Say my house is flooding. Send the fire department turn
- 29:37Speaker 10: this crap off, and they'll get their way faster than
- 29:40Speaker 10: we are. And it's not that I don't want to
- 29:41Speaker 10: be the one to come turn off your water, but
- 29:42Speaker 10: I don't want to make you wait an hour and
- 29:44Speaker 10: a half for me to send you somebody. If the
- 29:47Speaker 10: fire department has a station two streets over, and that's
- 29:50Speaker 10: kind of their job to serve the public. And so
- 29:53Speaker 10: for me, water is like an emergent urgent issue. Now sewer,
- 29:57Speaker 10: if you're sewer's clogged, that's an emergent. That's an issue.
- 29:59Speaker 10: If if you're a whole home stoppage, we're gonna come
- 30:02Speaker 10: same day because we want you to stay in your house.
- 30:05Speaker 10: I can't necessarily guarantee us fixed same day. If there's
- 30:09Speaker 10: a break, true emergency service always stammer next day. We
- 30:13Speaker 10: we prioritize keeping people in their houses is the easiest way.
- 30:16Speaker 2: To say it.
- 30:16Speaker 1: For those plumbing wants and obviously needs, you give Jacqueline
- 30:19Speaker 1: a call two one four three six eight thirty eight
- 30:22Speaker 1: thirty eight. Two one four three six eight thirty eight
- 30:24Speaker 1: thirty eight, and again that website Brooks Plumbing Texas dot com.
- 30:33Speaker 6: Your in Blue Treehouse visit us online at Treehouseonair dot com.
- 30:41Speaker 1: This segment of the Treehouse is brought to you by
- 30:44Speaker 1: Cook DFW Roofing and Restoration. Give Daniel and Kerrycook a
- 30:47Speaker 1: call for your free roof inspection and to get yourself
- 30:50Speaker 1: on the cook list. That phone number eight three three
- 30:52Speaker 1: Cook DFW. That's eight three three COOKDFW. The website Cook
- 30:57Speaker 1: dfw dot com one last little bit on Doctor Giggles
- 31:00Speaker 1: and then I will move on. I swear he is
- 31:04Speaker 1: not a dentist like I originally thought. And I guess
- 31:07Speaker 1: he's not an actual doctor in the film either, because,
- 31:09Speaker 1: according to the IMDb synopsis, a madman who believes he's
- 31:13Speaker 1: a doctor comes to the town where his crazy father
- 31:17Speaker 1: was killed and soon begins murdering people and becoming infatuated
- 31:21Speaker 1: with a teenage girl who has a heart condition.
- 31:24Speaker 3: There you go.
- 31:26Speaker 1: So it's the worst kind of doctor. That's the doctor
- 31:30Speaker 1: that thinks he's a doctor.
- 31:33Speaker 2: I mean, there have been like instances where people have
- 31:37Speaker 2: pretended to be doctors. They didn't write two books about them.
- 31:42Speaker 2: And I don't know how Lorenzo Lamas is not in
- 31:45Speaker 2: any of these.
- 31:49Speaker 1: You know, he's wondering the same thing.
- 31:52Speaker 2: Featuring Scott Byo.
- 31:55Speaker 1: Lorenzo lamis in Renegade. Oh God, I know way too
- 32:01Speaker 1: much about so few things. Oh, speaking of which, have
- 32:05Speaker 1: you guys noticed the uh? I hang on, where did
- 32:08Speaker 1: I see this? I think it was nearing the first
- 32:13Speaker 1: weekend of NFL games. Fox has a new show called
- 32:17Speaker 1: Rescue High Surf that, if we're being honest, just looks
- 32:22Speaker 1: like a different branded bay Watch.
- 32:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I called it Baywatch two point zero.
- 32:29Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean somewhere David Hasselhoff has to be contacting
- 32:32Speaker 1: copyright attorneys, going, come on, that's my show.
- 32:36Speaker 5: Yeah, it's when I saw the When I saw the
- 32:38Speaker 5: commercial for it, I my first thought as, oh, they're
- 32:41Speaker 5: bringing back Baywatch and.
- 32:43Speaker 1: Then you see the title pop up rescue high surf, Like, Oh,
- 32:45Speaker 1: that's just dumb.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Aren't they But aren't they wearing the red uh bikinis
- 32:51Speaker 2: or whatever?
- 32:52Speaker 1: Okay, but let's let's be fair. Baywatch didn't come up
- 32:56Speaker 1: with the idea of a red swimsuit that was already
- 32:59Speaker 1: there for La County lifeguards. They just made them skimpier
- 33:03Speaker 1: and put them on TV and put Playboy centerfolds in
- 33:06Speaker 1: them and hot surfer dudes in them.
- 33:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 33:10Speaker 5: I don't even if they made them skimpier. They just
- 33:12Speaker 5: put you know, double deep breast implants in them.
- 33:14Speaker 1: Well that's how they got skimpier. The materials back then
- 33:19Speaker 1: not as stretchy as they are today.
- 33:21Speaker 2: But who's in it now? Like do we know? You
- 33:23Speaker 2: probably know every one of the actors. You probably.
- 33:28Speaker 1: Don't, rise I haven't even seen it because it's not
- 33:31Speaker 1: out yet.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Okay, is it the same people that the Rescue nine
- 33:35Speaker 2: one lone star nine to one one? Is that the
- 33:38Speaker 2: same franchise? Is that what we're doing like the NCIS.
- 33:41Speaker 1: I actually don't know. And since I don't know, I'm
- 33:46Speaker 1: going to say no. But the way it's labeled Rescue
- 33:51Speaker 1: Colon High Surf, it makes you think that there's a
- 33:53Speaker 1: Rescue Low Surf or no Surf, or that there's some
- 33:56Speaker 1: other tied end show to it.
- 34:00Speaker 2: Guys.
- 34:00Speaker 1: I saw an ad just the other day for the
- 34:03Speaker 1: Chicago series, right, I mean there's three or four. You
- 34:07Speaker 1: got Chicago Fire, you got Chicago Fire, PD and MED.
- 34:12Speaker 2: Right.
- 34:13Speaker 1: You noticed they don't have a Chicago Public Education. You
- 34:18Speaker 1: know why? That's too real.
- 34:20Speaker 2: They also don't have anything on the South Side except
- 34:23Speaker 2: why I hard to film there.
- 34:28Speaker 1: It's hard to film there when your cameras keep getting stolen.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Uh. Yeah. I think it's the same like they had
- 34:34Speaker 2: and I think the new installment was NCIS Sydney. I
- 34:37Speaker 2: think they were trying to do an Australian version. I
- 34:39Speaker 2: think that or you got canceled, so maybe this is
- 34:43Speaker 2: their attempt at they watched the Beach. I would hate
- 34:50Speaker 2: to be cast in, Uh, Rescue Low tide because I
- 34:55Speaker 2: think that's just a waiting pool. Just it. It's your
- 35:00Speaker 2: swim a bar, is what it is. That's that's where
- 35:03Speaker 2: everybody's found.
- 35:04Speaker 1: I tell you right now though with my experience at
- 35:07Speaker 1: swim up bars, that's where all the good stories are.
- 35:14Speaker 2: Yeah, so I is there any notable actor? Is there
- 35:17Speaker 2: somebody like that's kind of taking the taking the lead
- 35:22Speaker 2: on this, like this is gonna be my show.
- 35:24Speaker 3: There's taking the mantle from Hasselhoff.
- 35:30Speaker 2: Is there anybody else that's gonna be popular in Germany?
- 35:32Speaker 2: It's all I need to know.
- 35:35Speaker 1: With Ariel Kebble, Adam demos, uh, Kiko Kikimano, and Alex
- 35:42Speaker 1: Ayano follows the dedicated, heroic and adrenaline seeking lifeguards of
- 35:48Speaker 1: the North Shore of Owah who as they save people's
- 35:50Speaker 1: lives in the difficult and and then it cuts off.
- 35:55Speaker 2: Okay, gotcha, So it's nobody we know. Okay, would you
- 36:02Speaker 2: watch it? No? Really? Yeah, doctor Giggles, you will watch.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Dude. That was nineteen ninety two. Quit holding my past
- 36:11Speaker 1: against me. I'm living in the I'm trying to live
- 36:15Speaker 1: in the present. Raj. I'm more worried about that Mexican
- 36:18Speaker 1: tiger that's roaming around the US Mexico border, that somehow
- 36:22Speaker 1: didn't come up in the debate the other night. Because
- 36:25Speaker 1: if we're really worried about, you know, immigrants eating cats,
- 36:28Speaker 1: I think we need to be more concerned about the
- 36:30Speaker 1: cats eating immigrants along the border.
- 36:33Speaker 2: Or an immigrant cat eating us. What I just said,
- 36:37Speaker 2: he said, immigrants being eaten by cats, Yes, but wouldn't
- 36:42Speaker 2: he be wouldn't would the cat be the immigrant?
- 36:45Speaker 1: Because yeah, it's immigrants on immigrant crime. It's terrible, and
- 36:48Speaker 1: no one's doing anything about it.
- 36:54Speaker 2: Yeah, they won't cover that. They won't cover that story.
- 36:59Speaker 1: They didn't even bring it up up the other night.
- 37:00Speaker 1: To me, there was a perfect opportunity to bring up
- 37:02Speaker 1: the Mexican tiger running around the US Mexico border.
- 37:06Speaker 2: No. Trump did bring up dogs and cats.
- 37:10Speaker 1: But no, that's my point is, when you bring that up,
- 37:12Speaker 1: I'm surprised he didn't then immediately tie in the tiger,
- 37:16Speaker 1: because to me, it's an easy thing to point out
- 37:18Speaker 1: that if you're Trump, it was an easy thing to
- 37:20Speaker 1: point out their border policies are so bad. Even the
- 37:24Speaker 1: tigers are coming across the border and endangering people.
- 37:27Speaker 11: People leaving the zoos by the millions, millions of tigers nexas. Yeah,
- 37:38Speaker 11: they're coming through, so many tigers.
- 37:42Speaker 1: It's open borders, man, It's it's bad enough letting people in,
- 37:45Speaker 1: but now you're letting in the goddamn tigers.
- 37:48Speaker 2: See.
- 37:49Speaker 1: How did that not come up in the debate. I'm disappointed.
- 37:53Speaker 1: Speaking of the Mexican zoo tiger that escaped and is
- 37:57Speaker 1: roaming around the US Mexico border. It's finally been spotted.
- 38:05Speaker 1: But that's really about it. No one's caught it yet.
- 38:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 38:08Speaker 3: Actually I just sent you an update.
- 38:10Speaker 1: Oh they finally got it.
- 38:11Speaker 3: Yeah, they got it.
- 38:13Speaker 2: Oh.
- 38:13Speaker 1: Man, that's disappointing. I was kind of hoping that there
- 38:15Speaker 1: would be a permanent tiger just living along the US
- 38:18Speaker 1: Mexico border, kind of like that Grand Prairie cobra that's
- 38:21Speaker 1: never been found.
- 38:24Speaker 2: Okay, what what do you mean? What there's a cobra
- 38:30Speaker 2: in Dallas.
- 38:32Speaker 1: How do you have three hundred something thousand followers on
- 38:35Speaker 1: social media and you don't know about the cobra from
- 38:39Speaker 1: Grand Prairie a couple of years ago.
- 38:42Speaker 2: I don't think I was here. I in India. I
- 38:45Speaker 2: understand I've seen them.
- 38:47Speaker 1: Uh well, yeah, I mean cobra's in a normal thing
- 38:51Speaker 1: in India, not a normal thing in Grand Prairie. Next
- 38:54Speaker 1: to you know, Ikea.
- 38:56Speaker 2: There's a cobra loose in.
- 39:00Speaker 1: DFW Grand Praise. Specifically, I'll fill you in momentarily, and
- 39:05Speaker 1: from this point on, I don't want to hear any
- 39:07Speaker 1: of your indignation about things I know from the past,
- 39:10Speaker 1: because the things I know from the past could save
- 39:12Speaker 1: my life. You, if you decided to go on a
- 39:14Speaker 1: nature walk through Grand Prairie, could end up with a
- 39:16Speaker 1: cobra off your junk. In the meantime, I'm going to
- 39:19Speaker 1: tell you about the tiger that is no longer escaped
- 39:22Speaker 1: but has now been caught. An escaped Bengal tiger that
- 39:27Speaker 1: had Texas communities along the border with Mexico on edge
- 39:30Speaker 1: has finally been caught after nearly a week on the loose.
- 39:33Speaker 1: I bet it was a fun week. Just imagine the
- 39:37Speaker 1: adventures that that tiger had. It's probably going to be
- 39:40Speaker 1: a Disney or a Pixar film eventually.
- 39:43Speaker 2: Tiger is Indian by the way, I mean, it's a
- 39:45Speaker 2: Bengal tiger.
- 39:46Speaker 1: Oh well, well, I'll just I'll let you think of
- 39:50Speaker 1: a few jokes. I'll give you some yes exactly, and
- 39:55Speaker 1: I'll give you some time to think on them while
- 39:57Speaker 1: I read the story around midnight. Reynosa Emergency Management and
- 40:03Speaker 1: Fire Protection hopefully a new show on Fox. The big
- 40:08Speaker 1: cat was captured in the rural community of Los Longoria,
- 40:11Speaker 1: south of another town in Mexico. I think. Officials said
- 40:15Speaker 1: they placed three cages in the area with bait so
- 40:18Speaker 1: they could lure the feline and catch it without causing harm.
- 40:22Speaker 1: I guess it worked because the tiger's in good health
- 40:24Speaker 1: and is no longer a threat to nearby residents. Reinosa
- 40:27Speaker 1: Mayor Carlos Pena Ortiz said the tiger named Tony. Of course,
- 40:31Speaker 1: it is.
- 40:34Speaker 2: Why she's doing great.
- 40:38Speaker 3: Nobody, not even Antonio or something.
- 40:45Speaker 2: Girl my Gusta.
- 40:52Speaker 1: Oh h, Tony, the escaped Mexican Zoo tiger will be
- 40:59Speaker 1: taken to a different zoo.
- 41:02Speaker 3: Uh.
- 41:02Speaker 2: It.
- 41:02Speaker 1: Seizure came a day after authorities spotted the tiger for
- 41:05Speaker 1: the first time in an area near the zoo where
- 41:07Speaker 1: they were setting up traps and motion detection services. Oh,
- 41:10Speaker 1: that's just an awkward moment, if there ever is one.
- 41:12Speaker 1: You're setting up motion detectors for a loose tiger, and
- 41:15Speaker 1: then it just kind of creeps up behind you and goes, hey,
- 41:19Speaker 1: what are you doing?
- 41:22Speaker 2: I live right over here.
- 41:24Speaker 1: Hey, hey, what you're putting out there? You're looking for something.
- 41:32Speaker 1: My name is Tony, not Antonio, and not whatever Indian
- 41:39Speaker 1: version there is of Tony.
- 41:43Speaker 2: There's not one. It's like to Mender and then they
- 41:46Speaker 2: just changed their name to Tony.
- 41:50Speaker 1: It's got a good ring to it, to Mender the tiger.
- 41:53Speaker 2: That's what I would name it. But uh, but Tony
- 41:56Speaker 2: the Tiger. You gotta give them credit for that, Like,
- 42:00Speaker 2: we haven't done that here.
- 42:02Speaker 1: Well, that's because it's too obvious. If you want, if
- 42:05Speaker 1: you want bad obvious jokes, turn on to radio if
- 42:08Speaker 1: you want slightly less badout but sometimes still kind of
- 42:14Speaker 1: obvious jokes. That's when you come into the treehouse.
- 42:21Speaker 2: That's like what we would have named the tiger. Like, collectively,
- 42:25Speaker 2: we would have sat around, gone, what do you want
- 42:27Speaker 2: to name it? Like I think Tony.
- 42:30Speaker 1: Yeah, And that's here's here's what that process would have
- 42:33Speaker 1: would have looked like inside the treehouse. If we were
- 42:35Speaker 1: having the conversation, Okay, we just got a tiger, what
- 42:37Speaker 1: do we name it? Forget about the fact that we
- 42:40Speaker 1: got a tiger for a moment, but what do we
- 42:42Speaker 1: name it? Yeah, the first name we would all probably
- 42:44Speaker 1: throw out would be Tony because Tony the tiger uh
- 42:47Speaker 1: frosted flakes. But we would have dismissed it as way
- 42:50Speaker 1: too obvious, and then we would have spent the next
- 42:52Speaker 1: hour kicking around other possible names for the tiger, gotten tired,
- 42:56Speaker 1: and eventually just gone back to Tony because Trey had
- 43:00Speaker 1: to go to work.
- 43:01Speaker 2: I think we would all showed up at Trey's work
- 43:04Speaker 2: and been like, Hey, let's drink because we have a
- 43:06Speaker 2: tiger now, and he would actually serve us while we
- 43:12Speaker 2: try to figure out the name for the tiger that
- 43:14Speaker 2: we've apparently stolen or bought. I don't know how that works.
- 43:18Speaker 1: I think it's funny that you think Trey would stay
- 43:20Speaker 1: and serve us. I think it's more likely that Trey
- 43:22Speaker 1: would have gone to an AA meeting at that point.
- 43:27Speaker 2: That's what we named the tiger. That's AA the Tiger.
- 43:37Speaker 3: Oh twelve step.
- 43:45Speaker 1: You're in the Treehouse.

- 44:10Speaker 1: All right, this segment of the Treehouse is brought to
- 44:12Speaker 1: you by Brooks Plumbing for any and all of your
- 44:14Speaker 1: plumbing ONTs and needs called Jacqueline at two one four
- 44:18Speaker 1: three six eight thirty eight thirty eight. That's two one
- 44:21Speaker 1: four three six eight thirty eight thirty eight again for
- 44:23Speaker 1: any and all of those plumbing wants it needs. It's
- 44:25Speaker 1: Brooks Plumbing the website Brooks Plumbingtexas dot com. Uh, I'm
- 44:31Speaker 1: gonna piggyback tray off of what you just said talking
- 44:33Speaker 1: about the twelve steps. Do you guys have fitness trackers,
- 44:37Speaker 1: apple watch or a garment or a fitbit that tracks
- 44:40Speaker 1: all the steps that you take throughout the day.
- 44:43Speaker 2: I got the fitbit yep, okay.
- 44:45Speaker 1: And Trey, what do you have?
- 44:47Speaker 3: I have an Apple Watch?
- 44:49Speaker 1: How accurate do you think those are? Do you think
- 44:51Speaker 1: they're pretty accurate?
- 44:52Speaker 2: Or like I think because I used to have it
- 44:58Speaker 2: on my phone that was I think because I can
- 45:01Speaker 2: keep it in my pocket. I think it's every step.
- 45:04Speaker 2: I think it would double time it because that's what
- 45:07Speaker 2: it was. I guess that's what the censor was feeling.
- 45:11Speaker 1: Uh.
- 45:11Speaker 2: The fitbit, I think is okay. I think the calorie
- 45:15Speaker 2: burning is way off.
- 45:17Speaker 1: Gotcha, Trey?
- 45:20Speaker 3: Uh, Steps, I think it's it's pretty accurate.
- 45:23Speaker 1: So like with my my history with the fitness trackers,
- 45:25Speaker 1: where I wanted to get one with the heart rate monitor,
- 45:29Speaker 1: like the wrist base so I don't have to like
- 45:31Speaker 1: wear it around your chest when you're working out. I
- 45:32Speaker 1: wanted a constant heart rate monitor just because I'm getting
- 45:35Speaker 1: into my middle age and I don't know what my
- 45:37Speaker 1: family history is. I don't know if I've got a
- 45:38Speaker 1: you know, you know, a killer heart attack in my future.
- 45:42Speaker 1: So I was just wanting to kind of keep an
- 45:43Speaker 1: idea of my heart rate throughout the day. Well, this,
- 45:49Speaker 1: this new this new story I saw has me a
- 45:52Speaker 1: little concerned about my fitness tracker in general. Is your
- 45:58Speaker 1: goal ten thousand steps to day?
- 46:02Speaker 2: I do twenty five thousand, Holy Jesus.
- 46:06Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 46:06Speaker 2: I try to do ten to twelve miles.
- 46:09Speaker 1: Yeah, damn, Trey, can you top that?
- 46:15Speaker 3: No?
- 46:15Speaker 2: No, I.
- 46:17Speaker 3: Typically am in the around the twelve thousand range.
- 46:21Speaker 1: Okay, I need to get outside more because I'm much
- 46:24Speaker 1: lower than the two of you. But we all may
- 46:26Speaker 1: be off because a study found fitness trackers are not
- 46:30Speaker 1: as accurate as we think, and that includes counting steps.
- 46:36Speaker 1: It says, it says if you took ten thousand steps,
- 46:40Speaker 1: the real number could be anywhere from nine thousand to
- 46:43Speaker 1: eleven thousand. Okay, yeah, so it's the average. Then it's
- 46:49Speaker 1: kind of what they're saying there. Yeah, it looked at
- 46:54Speaker 1: So this study looked at fitbits, Apple watches, and a
- 46:56Speaker 1: number of other brands, according as far as fitness trackers
- 47:00Speaker 1: were concerned. And the ten thousand steps a day or whatever,
- 47:04Speaker 1: however number of steps it says you're taking may not
- 47:07Speaker 1: be exact, but they do say of the things that
- 47:10Speaker 1: those devices track, how accurate were the results for each
- 47:14Speaker 1: of those things In addition to the steps. For heart rate,
- 47:16Speaker 1: they say it's pretty good your real number might be
- 47:19Speaker 1: three percent plus or minus what it says. The heart
- 47:23Speaker 1: rate variability, the slight variations in time between the heartbeats,
- 47:29Speaker 1: which can help predict potential health issues. They're found pretty
- 47:32Speaker 1: accurate with that when you're sitting down, but not if
- 47:34Speaker 1: you're up moving around. I agree with that. So my garments,
- 47:37Speaker 1: the risk based stuff. The heart rate was kind of
- 47:39Speaker 1: all over the place, especially during workouts if it's super elevated.
- 47:42Speaker 2: Is that the one you're wearing now?
- 47:44Speaker 1: No, I got an Apple Watch now because Terry got
- 47:47Speaker 1: a two for one last time we were in town.
- 47:50Speaker 2: Oh gotcha?
- 47:50Speaker 1: Okay, and that seems to be pretty accurate. On the
- 47:55Speaker 1: heart rates side sleep tracking, they found fitness trackers tend
- 47:58Speaker 1: to overestimate how long you were asleep and underestimate how
- 48:01Speaker 1: long it took you to fall asleep, which look, I
- 48:03Speaker 1: think most of us can identify. If it's not counting
- 48:06Speaker 1: how many times I get up in the middle of
- 48:07Speaker 1: the night to go pee, then obviously it's not very
- 48:10Speaker 1: accurate because there's not there's not a section for that
- 48:12Speaker 1: to click on.
- 48:14Speaker 2: But it can tell how fast you fall asleep.
- 48:19Speaker 1: I don't know. I think it tells by heart right,
- 48:22Speaker 1: because I had one that was telling me how much
- 48:24Speaker 1: rim sleep I was getting.
- 48:25Speaker 2: Supposedly interesting because I think Nicki wins the world record
- 48:31Speaker 2: of how fast you can fall asleep.
- 48:33Speaker 1: Oh, I'm envious of that.
- 48:35Speaker 2: I'm gonna guess under a minute is how I would
- 48:40Speaker 2: guess in the seconds, but I haven't looked at it.
- 48:45Speaker 2: It's she falls asleep and under a minute.
- 48:48Speaker 1: You need to tract that. You need to actually record it,
- 48:50Speaker 1: and like you need you need to see how long
- 48:52Speaker 1: it takes her from her to say, all right, I'm
- 48:53Speaker 1: gonna go to sleep. Now and then to where she's
- 48:55Speaker 1: actually at.
- 48:56Speaker 2: I'd be fast. Oh and and and I don't have
- 48:58Speaker 2: to turn the TV off. I don't have the lights
- 49:00Speaker 2: off nothing. I'm like, are you sure, And she's like, yeah,
- 49:02Speaker 2: I'll be fine, and she's on her phone, and then
- 49:05Speaker 2: snoring happens, and I look, it can't be a full minute.
- 49:10Speaker 1: So not only so she goes to sleep really quickly.
- 49:13Speaker 1: And then no matter what you do, she doesn't wake.
- 49:16Speaker 2: Up and doesn't have to pee in the middle of
- 49:17Speaker 2: the night.
- 49:21Speaker 1: What's the problem, RAJ, I mean, I don't. I don't
- 49:25Speaker 1: know if you're going to find better wife material than that.
- 49:28Speaker 2: Yeah, she doesn't. She doesn't get up at any point.
- 49:32Speaker 2: I wake up like a five point fifty five. If
- 49:34Speaker 2: I take one of the dogs out six point thirty,
- 49:36Speaker 2: I take the other two out. She's sound asleep at
- 49:40Speaker 2: seven forty up and doesn't have like the fit bit,
- 49:44Speaker 2: doesn't have any of that. She bought me a fit
- 49:46Speaker 2: bit so I could see.
- 49:48Speaker 1: Because she knew you were up in the middle of
- 49:50Speaker 1: like doing things, and she wanted to see what you
- 49:52Speaker 1: were doing in the middle of the night. Because he's like,
- 49:54Speaker 1: I don't trust him. He's doing things in the middle
- 49:56Speaker 1: of the night because I don't wake up, so she's
- 49:58Speaker 1: tracking you.
- 50:00Speaker 2: Yes, I would think that because I didn't ask for it. Uh,
- 50:04Speaker 2: and I didn't need it. So it's like, I know,
- 50:08Speaker 2: I do my eight to twelve miles a day walking. Yeah,
- 50:13Speaker 2: but you wake up in them and you're forty five now.
- 50:16Speaker 1: Almost you're waking up still I'm still forty four.
- 50:20Speaker 2: Forty four Okay, I'm still Uh, I'll be about to
- 50:23Speaker 2: be forty nine. And you wake up multiple times at
- 50:26Speaker 2: night to pee.
- 50:28Speaker 1: Usually if I've had a lot to drink, like lots
- 50:30Speaker 1: of water and such. It's not cross state related.
- 50:36Speaker 2: What. I'll let Trey take this one, just because his
- 50:40Speaker 2: face one's fantastic.
- 50:43Speaker 5: Fortunately, I haven't hit that problem yet.
- 50:48Speaker 1: What getting up the middle of night to go pee?
- 50:50Speaker 3: Yeah, like I'll like once.
- 50:51Speaker 1: But look, it just depends on how much on how
- 50:56Speaker 1: many fluids I've had after a certain time.
- 51:00Speaker 3: How many fluids water and such with vodka.
- 51:08Speaker 1: Look, how you stay hydrated is your business. Just because
- 51:15Speaker 1: my late night hydration program involves carbonation and firmaxication, should
- 51:29Speaker 1: shut up. I'd say thanks for hanging out with us
- 51:38Speaker 1: inside the treehouse today, But I feeling like the butt
- 51:41Speaker 1: of it, all of a sudden, I don't want to.
- 51:44Speaker 1: We'll see you tomorrow.
