- 0:09SPEAKER_00: Hi and welcome to this episode of Assassin's Sips.
- 0:12SPEAKER_00: Today we're talking about Good Girls, Season 4, Episode 5.
- 0:16SPEAKER_00: Grandma Loves Grisham.
- 0:18SPEAKER_00: I'm Lisa, and today I am sipping red wine.
- 0:26SPEAKER_02: That was all static, but okay.
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: All I heard was wine.
- 0:29SPEAKER_02: But yay, wine.
- 0:31SPEAKER_02: That's always the right answer.
- 0:32SPEAKER_02: What?
- 0:33SPEAKER_02: You're fine now.
- 0:34SPEAKER_02: It's just when you start to talk, it's fine.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: It just oh, okay, great.
- 0:42SPEAKER_00: Introduce yourself.
- 0:44SPEAKER_01: Oh, you introduced yourself.
- 0:45SPEAKER_01: I forgot you introduced yourself.
- 0:46SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry.
- 0:48SPEAKER_02: That sidetracked because I and I'm the hapless co-host Agnes, and I am just sipping on water.
- 0:59SPEAKER_01: That's all I need to be sipping on.
- 1:03SPEAKER_00: My hot takes are Tyler almost makes me want to work out.
- 1:09SPEAKER_00: Insane.
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: And also that scheme only works on TV.
- 1:18SPEAKER_00: Not not just on TV, but on TV and if you're three white ladies.
- 1:23SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 1:24SPEAKER_00: And I don't even know how Ruby got in there.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: But but yeah.
- 1:32SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 1:36SPEAKER_01: Or it also works if you know, if you're a white dude trying to and you're a witness for a brown dude.
- 1:47SPEAKER_01: Okay.
- 1:48SPEAKER_01: But it's against a brown dude.
- 1:50SPEAKER_01: So yeah.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: Like I'm thinking about like all the or even another brown dude against a brown dude.
- 1:59SPEAKER_00: They wouldn't but you.
- 2:02SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 2:03SPEAKER_00: They're like maybe.
- 2:05SPEAKER_01: I mean Jay Adnan.
- 2:09SPEAKER_01: You know?
- 2:11SPEAKER_01: Well you went out.
- 2:13SPEAKER_01: I said Jay Adnan.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 2:18SPEAKER_01: Yeah, well yeah.
- 2:20SPEAKER_01: Yeah, so you know.
- 2:21SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 2:23SPEAKER_02: It's been a while since we saw him, though.
- 2:25SPEAKER_02: And I'm glad he's doing well.
- 2:27SPEAKER_02: Like you, I was just like, damn, I should get up and do something with my life.
- 2:30SPEAKER_02: And then like, yeah, no, I'm gonna stay in this bed and finish watching this episode instead.
- 2:34SPEAKER_00: Um I tell myself, I I want to look in the mirror and I want to look like J Lo, and then I proceed to like open another bag of potato chips at 10 o'clock at night.
- 2:44SPEAKER_02: So I don't right.
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: I don't understand how the two don't mix.
- 2:48SPEAKER_02: I don't know why.
- 2:48SPEAKER_02: It's not fair.
- 2:51SPEAKER_02: I guess I don't want it that much.
- 2:53SPEAKER_02: No, I want it that much.
- 2:54SPEAKER_02: I just don't want to work for it.
- 2:56SPEAKER_02: So once again, our favorite security guard comes face to face with three maxed armed women.
- 3:05SPEAKER_02: And then it jumps to days earlier.
- 3:09SPEAKER_02: Annie's acting really shady.
- 3:12SPEAKER_02: Ben is like, what are you doing?
- 3:13SPEAKER_02: What are you hiding?
- 3:14SPEAKER_02: What's in the bag?
- 3:14SPEAKER_02: And he's like, What did he say?
- 3:16SPEAKER_02: Hold on.
- 3:17SPEAKER_02: I will tell you.
- 3:18SPEAKER_02: He goes, Is it guns?
- 3:19SPEAKER_02: Is it drugs?
- 3:20SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 3:20SPEAKER_02: Is it body parts?
- 3:21SPEAKER_00: And she's just like like tampons or nothing.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: It's just tampons.
- 3:27SPEAKER_02: And the fact that he's going straight to drugs, guns, or body parts is indicative of what he's dealt with with his mom so far.
- 3:36SPEAKER_02: So he's not far off.
- 3:39SPEAKER_02: But she's taking her GED prep class again.
- 3:44SPEAKER_02: Because she's taking the test again.
- 3:46SPEAKER_02: And I get the not saying something because it's kind of like you don't want to jinx it.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and I think that there's also a certain amount of like saving face because then if she fails, she doesn't have to face that embarrassment.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: That's a good point.
- 4:03SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 4:04SPEAKER_00: That's why I wouldn't have told anyone.
- 4:09SPEAKER_02: Like it's one thing they know you failed it once, but it's they don't need to know you failed it twice, right?
- 4:16SPEAKER_02: Dean's back home, and obviously he was just chilling on the floor, and I'm like, yeah, I get that.
- 4:24SPEAKER_02: Because sometimes you just just yeah, lay on the floor, look at the ceiling.
- 4:28SPEAKER_02: I get that.
- 4:29SPEAKER_02: But his daughter wants him to take her to her friend's house.
- 4:33SPEAKER_02: He's like, Yo, your mom would do it.
- 4:35SPEAKER_02: She's like, but I want you.
- 4:37SPEAKER_02: Uh, short version, his ankle monitor is not charged, so he ain't going nowhere.
- 4:43SPEAKER_02: He's still feeling some type of way about being put in jail.
- 4:46SPEAKER_02: And I could understand being arrested and now out on bail for something you didn't do.
- 4:53SPEAKER_02: I mean, although he kind of knew where it came from, so you're not exactly innocent.
- 4:57SPEAKER_02: But they really the ladies are obviously, you know, they're going through some shit because they can't work for obvious reasons.
- 5:05SPEAKER_02: So they meet up with Big Kahuna and Agent Hot Mess, Dave and Phoebe.
- 5:10SPEAKER_02: I mean, if you want to call them by their actual names, fine.
- 5:14SPEAKER_00: And I think that they should always be referred to as DL Dave and Agent Hot Mess.
- 5:21SPEAKER_02: DL Dave.
- 5:21SPEAKER_02: Okay, I like DL Dave.
- 5:23SPEAKER_02: Okay, DL Dave and Agent Hot Mess.
- 5:25SPEAKER_02: Got it.
- 5:27SPEAKER_02: So the ladies are like, yeah, when do we get paid?
- 5:30SPEAKER_02: They're like, what?
- 5:31SPEAKER_02: They're like, we have bills to pay, we have things to do.
- 5:33SPEAKER_02: When she's like, Ruby's like, can we get like an advance?
- 5:35SPEAKER_02: He's like, advance on what?
- 5:37SPEAKER_02: And they really don't give a fuck about their problems.
- 5:41SPEAKER_02: Imagine that.
- 5:42SPEAKER_02: I know surprised.
- 5:44SPEAKER_02: I'm surprised about that.
- 5:45SPEAKER_02: Colored me shot.
- 5:48SPEAKER_02: So Beth is going through her day, and she's just what we all do.
- 5:53SPEAKER_02: Everything's come, like you start thinking about everything that's coming at you.
- 5:57SPEAKER_02: So she has DL, she has hot mess, she got gang frag, and it's just coming at her.
- 6:04SPEAKER_02: And then she wakes up, and the girls is with her and the girls the next morning, or more mornings afterwards.
- 6:11SPEAKER_02: And they're just like, what are we gonna do?
- 6:12SPEAKER_02: Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.
- 6:14SPEAKER_02: She's just knitting.
- 6:14SPEAKER_02: Knit one pearl two.
- 6:16SPEAKER_02: And she's going at it.
- 6:19SPEAKER_02: And then all of a sudden, they're like, Well, what do you like?
- 6:21SPEAKER_02: Don't you have something to say?
- 6:23SPEAKER_02: And she holds up a mask.
- 6:25SPEAKER_02: She's like, Why don't you green around the mouth?
- 6:28SPEAKER_02: I'm thinking orange, but that's just my personal take.
- 6:32SPEAKER_02: And you're like, okay, great.
- 6:33SPEAKER_02: We know where this is going.
- 6:35SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 6:36SPEAKER_02: I see it happen, I see a pattern happening.
- 6:40SPEAKER_02: Meanwhile, Agent Hattmess will backtrack a little bit, doing the whole, hey, we need some money.
- 6:48SPEAKER_02: We're falling, like, we're suffering over here.
- 6:52SPEAKER_02: After DL Dave leaves, BB asks Beth, she's like, what's that on your face?
- 6:58SPEAKER_02: She's like, you mean like makeup?
- 7:00SPEAKER_02: She's like, yeah, what is that called?
- 7:02SPEAKER_02: Ruby goes, eyeshadow?
- 7:05SPEAKER_02: Like, the fuck?
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 7:06SPEAKER_00: Like, I thought she was gonna be like, oh, this is the technique of I I I wouldn't know because I'm also like caveman.
- 7:14SPEAKER_00: You know, but like something eyeshadow is with like, right, like this is the the the cat eye, or this is the smoky eye.
- 7:22SPEAKER_00: Like, right, anything other than just eyeshadow.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: Eyeshadow.
- 7:25SPEAKER_00: Like, even I own eyeshadow.
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: I don't wear it, but I own it and I know where it goes and I know what it's called.
- 7:33SPEAKER_02: While the girls are knitting their new plan, get it hatching, knitting.
- 7:38SPEAKER_02: Okay, okay.
- 7:39SPEAKER_02: Um, Phoebe is with DL Dave and he goes, What's that on your face?
- 7:46SPEAKER_02: It gives me the whole, you know, when boys or girls are friends, uh, and then they saw he did puberty, and obviously they start changing.
- 7:54SPEAKER_02: And girl wears a makeup.
- 7:56SPEAKER_02: Boys like, what's that on your face?
- 7:58SPEAKER_02: He gives me like 12-year-old boyvans.
- 8:01SPEAKER_00: Like yesterday, they were digging holes on the ball field and like playing.
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: Today went a bar.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 8:08SPEAKER_00: And today, right.
- 8:10SPEAKER_00: And he doesn't know what to do with that.
- 8:13SPEAKER_02: And he gives her a little warning antidote about one of his CIs and they were best buddies, and he trusted him and then fucked him over.
- 8:20SPEAKER_02: It took him 15 years to climb up that hole.
- 8:23SPEAKER_02: Personally, I don't think he's out that hole yet.
- 8:24SPEAKER_02: He thinks he's out that hole, but I don't, I think I still think.
- 8:27SPEAKER_00: But let's be honest, I think DL Dave likes the holes, but although I guess most men would like a hole one way or the other.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: So, well, there went that analogy.
- 8:40SPEAKER_02: But I got where you were going, and I'm disturbed at my brain.
- 8:45SPEAKER_00: Well, your brain went exactly where my brain intended it.
- 8:50SPEAKER_02: And that's why I'm disturbed.
- 8:51SPEAKER_02: I I yeah, I mean, out of my brain, disappointed.
- 8:55SPEAKER_00: We've got almost 40 years of friendship behind us, so I don't know what you're talking about.
- 9:01SPEAKER_02: I'm only 25, so there's that.
- 9:03SPEAKER_00: How are you 25 and I'm 29?
- 9:09SPEAKER_00: Someone can't count.
- 9:11SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 9:12SPEAKER_02: You I'm off by I'm off by two, three years.
- 9:18SPEAKER_02: It's fine.
- 9:18SPEAKER_02: It's not a problem.
- 9:19SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 9:20SPEAKER_00: All right, cool.
- 9:22SPEAKER_02: My daughter goes to me.
- 9:23SPEAKER_02: She finally said it to me.
- 9:24SPEAKER_02: What I've been telling, what I used to tell my mom all the time.
- 9:27SPEAKER_02: Krista goes, she looks at me because I think we went out last weekend with the kids.
- 9:32SPEAKER_02: She goes, don't have kids.
- 9:33SPEAKER_02: I was like, no shit.
- 9:37SPEAKER_02: I said, Oh, you can just get that one like I did, but you know.
- 9:40SPEAKER_02: So after his little warning, Phoebe says, Don't worry, I got this.
- 9:46SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna make her my bitch.
- 9:50SPEAKER_02: Okay, not that Agent Hot Mess isn't smart.
- 9:54SPEAKER_02: Like, I obviously she's a better agent than DL Dave.
- 9:58SPEAKER_02: But I think the ladies are at that no new friend stage.
- 10:05SPEAKER_00: And I think that there's also it's also worth saying that like she can be a great and picking up on evidence and clues and following that chain, but that doesn't necessarily translate into social skills.
- 10:26SPEAKER_00: No, that's like she's obviously very awkward with the social skills.
- 10:31SPEAKER_02: So well, she could use that awkwardness to her advantage.
- 10:34SPEAKER_02: Like, I think it could be it could be switched, it could be it could be used in theory.
- 10:39SPEAKER_02: For example, if I think if this plan of making them her bitch was like two seasons ago, I think it could have worked.
- 10:47SPEAKER_02: I think in this stage of the game, they're just like, no new, like, I think.
- 10:52SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 10:52SPEAKER_02: I'm maybe I'm giving this in too much credit.
- 10:54SPEAKER_00: I mean, and in fairness, I mean, we're not running counterfeit organization and running with gang friends, and we're still kind of like no new friends.
- 11:04SPEAKER_00: Like, you know.
- 11:32SPEAKER_02: We're also a little bit more survival mode than they are.
- 11:36SPEAKER_02: I feel like they're just they're react, they're react, they're just they're not proactive, they're reactionary.
- 11:42SPEAKER_02: So we're proactively hate.
- 11:45SPEAKER_00: Reactive different proactive, reactive.
- 11:47SPEAKER_02: What did I say?
- 11:49SPEAKER_00: Reactionary?
- 11:51SPEAKER_02: Whatever.
- 11:52SPEAKER_02: Leave me alone.
- 11:53SPEAKER_02: I'm drinking water and not alcohol.
- 11:55SPEAKER_02: So my brain's not working.
- 11:57SPEAKER_00: Oh my goodness, drink up.
- 12:00SPEAKER_02: I don't I mean, I have alcohol, but I don't want any.
- 12:04SPEAKER_02: I did have my chocolate espresso mantini with my daughter last night.
- 12:07SPEAKER_02: We went out, mother-daughter drinking.
- 12:12SPEAKER_02: It's amazing.
- 12:14SPEAKER_02: So Tyler's working at a he got big things happening.
- 12:18SPEAKER_02: He's working as a security at a jeweler.
- 12:22SPEAKER_02: And Annie invites Tyler over to see how's the new job going?
- 12:30SPEAKER_02: And he goes, nothing.
- 12:32SPEAKER_02: He's like, she's like, how's it like new and exciting?
- 12:34SPEAKER_02: He's like, not so much.
- 12:36SPEAKER_02: She goes, So how do you what did you think about making it exciting?
- 12:40SPEAKER_02: And she starts off without no hesitation.
- 12:44SPEAKER_02: Ruby is using her little wheel around, her little hover round.
- 12:48SPEAKER_02: The hover around, I want one so bad.
- 12:50SPEAKER_02: And she's recording what's going on in the store.
- 12:53SPEAKER_02: They're doing, and then look, Beth and Annie are looking over schematics and cameras and all that other stuff.
- 13:01SPEAKER_02: And then finally they get together, and Annie goes, it's gonna take too long and it's gonna be too hard to get in.
- 13:09SPEAKER_02: Or too hard, like it's gonna, we can't it's not gonna, it's not gonna work out.
- 13:13SPEAKER_02: Beth goes, it's perfect.
- 13:15SPEAKER_02: And that's when you're like, huh.
- 13:18SPEAKER_00: Yeah, they're like something something, didn't they say like, oh, it's like a suicide mission or something?
- 13:22SPEAKER_02: Suicide mission, yeah.
- 13:24SPEAKER_00: And you're like, what the fuck are they up to?
- 13:28SPEAKER_00: You're like, hmm.
- 13:29SPEAKER_02: Plot twist.
- 13:31SPEAKER_02: So the ladies go in, they go in for the kill in the nick of time, they smashing the the displays, taking all the jewelry, and they do it a pretty good time.
- 13:46SPEAKER_02: Like it's kind of like Ocean's Eight, kind of good.
- 13:49SPEAKER_02: Just joking.
- 13:49SPEAKER_02: That that good.
- 13:50SPEAKER_02: Did you see Ocean's Eight?
- 13:53SPEAKER_01: No, you didn't, did you?
- 13:54SPEAKER_00: I didn't I saw the only the first one.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: Was that 11?
- 13:58SPEAKER_01: Whatever.
- 14:00SPEAKER_02: Okay, Ocean's Eight was add to all the oceans and it backtracks, and it's no definitely sister, which is Sandra Bullock.
- 14:10SPEAKER_02: It's really good.
- 14:12SPEAKER_02: But yeah, you can see Ocean's Eight without seeing the other ones, and it's like you know power, like Nana's in it.
- 14:21SPEAKER_00: No, you know damn well I can't do that.
- 14:24SPEAKER_02: So go watch the other ones so you can watch Ocean's Eight, please.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: Oh, hold on.
- 14:27SPEAKER_00: I'll just go quit my jobs and my family.
- 14:30SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 14:32SPEAKER_00: What the fuck?
- 14:34SPEAKER_00: Only priorities, Lisa.
- 14:35SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I know.
- 14:37SPEAKER_01: Stupid me.
- 14:39SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 14:42SPEAKER_02: Beth is about to smash in the last one, and the guy's like, it's already unlocked.
- 14:46SPEAKER_02: She's oh gee, thanks, appreciate it.
- 14:49SPEAKER_02: So they are waiting for Tyler.
- 14:52SPEAKER_02: And here comes the dump to dump.
- 14:54SPEAKER_02: We see what happens in the first scene of this episode.
- 14:57SPEAKER_02: He has his coffee and the donuts.
- 15:00SPEAKER_02: And they're like looking at him, like, what the fuck?
- 15:04SPEAKER_02: Stop us.
- 15:06SPEAKER_02: And then he's handcuffing Annie.
- 15:09SPEAKER_02: He's like, She's like, what the fuck were you?
- 15:12SPEAKER_02: He goes, I didn't get the he goes, she goes, Oh, she goes, donuts?
- 15:15SPEAKER_02: Really?
- 15:16SPEAKER_02: He goes, I thought this was happening tomorrow, not today.
- 15:22SPEAKER_02: So the next thing you see them sitting across from DL Dave, I can't say this without smiling, and Agent Hat Mess.
- 15:32SPEAKER_02: And they're like, oh, well, you know, there's always that casino we can do.
- 15:36SPEAKER_02: Like they go and do all the shit that they can do.
- 15:38SPEAKER_02: Like, hook us up.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: They're sitting, yeah, because they're sitting there like children who have been sent to the principal's office.
- 15:45SPEAKER_02: They think it's hysterical.
- 15:46SPEAKER_02: Because those who watch enough TV like we do, you know, when someone's a CI, they the FBI or whoever CI they are will bail them out of what trouble they get into so they can continue having them out on the street.
- 15:58SPEAKER_02: So they're like, fine, either pay us or we're gonna have to just make a living our own way.
- 16:04SPEAKER_02: He goes, you know what?
- 16:05SPEAKER_02: Fuck it.
- 16:06SPEAKER_02: You're going in.
- 16:07SPEAKER_02: Like, what fuck it?
- 16:08SPEAKER_02: We what it's over with.
- 16:10SPEAKER_02: She goes, I guess you don't want me to go to that meetup with um Rhea with the boss.
- 16:17SPEAKER_02: With the boss.
- 16:17SPEAKER_02: I'm like, fuck.
- 16:19SPEAKER_02: Like, I guess, guess we kind of had to pay the bitches.
- 16:23SPEAKER_02: So Ruby's back home, and you see her counting out stacks of bills, which one day I would love to do that.
- 16:30SPEAKER_02: I like the way Stan is like, oh, okay, this is where we're at now.
- 16:35SPEAKER_02: She goes, he's like, oh, is it real or fake?
- 16:38SPEAKER_02: He's just like, whatever.
- 16:41SPEAKER_02: So she gives him a plan to help with his things with the fake bags.
- 16:46SPEAKER_02: And she tells him, like, you know, you guys are selling fake fakes.
- 16:49SPEAKER_02: You can get more money out of, you can sell them for higher prices if you sell like really good ones.
- 16:55SPEAKER_02: Like, I have one fake Louie that is in is better, it's better quality than the actual real, than my real Louie.
- 17:06SPEAKER_02: So, yeah, you could actually make more money.
- 17:08SPEAKER_02: So she's put him on to the game, which is I love this.
- 17:13SPEAKER_02: Couple who crimes together stays together.
- 17:17SPEAKER_02: Annie arrives to take her GED test and tries to pay off the proctor, and he's like, You can sit your ass down.
- 17:25SPEAKER_02: So she's like, Great, okay, this is she Annie Annie's.
- 17:30SPEAKER_02: Now it's time for Beth Beth to meet the boss.
- 17:34SPEAKER_02: DL and Hot Mess wire up, and their advice to her if she gets into trouble was to improvise.
- 17:43SPEAKER_02: Great, great.
- 17:46SPEAKER_02: While this is happening, Josh shows up at Annie's house, three sheets to the wind, and he goes, I just came from a stag party.
- 17:56SPEAKER_02: She's like, What?
- 17:57SPEAKER_02: And those of us who watch TV like you and I do, um, know that that's his bachelor party.
- 18:04SPEAKER_02: Over the pond, across the pond, they called it a stag hen and stag.
- 18:08SPEAKER_02: Hen is a bachelorette, stag is the bachelor party.
- 18:11SPEAKER_02: But anywho, even I knew that.
- 18:14SPEAKER_02: Huh?
- 18:15SPEAKER_02: I said, even I knew that.
- 18:16SPEAKER_02: Right, even Lisa knows that.
- 18:17SPEAKER_02: And she doesn't watch movies or anything.
- 18:19SPEAKER_02: So how would he's going through, she's like, it's just Kofi.
- 18:24SPEAKER_02: He's doing the whole jitters thing.
- 18:28SPEAKER_02: And she he's like, she doesn't, she goes, I had to poop.
- 18:33SPEAKER_02: Oh, that's why he kicked her house because he had to poop.
- 18:36SPEAKER_02: And he lights it up.
- 18:39SPEAKER_02: He's like, don't go in there for a couple of days, maybe a week.
- 18:44SPEAKER_02: And he says she doesn't poop.
- 18:46SPEAKER_02: Because he's like, Well, don't you poop at her house?
- 18:49SPEAKER_02: He's like, No, it smells like Gardenia.
- 18:51SPEAKER_02: She's like, Well, that's just to cover the set of her poop.
- 18:53SPEAKER_02: He goes like, no, she really doesn't poop.
- 18:55SPEAKER_02: She gets really, really clean, so she really doesn't have any waste.
- 18:59SPEAKER_02: That's weird as fuck.
- 19:01SPEAKER_00: Is that even actually possible at all?
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: It's not, right?
- 19:05SPEAKER_00: Like, there's no way.
- 19:07SPEAKER_00: And I don't mean to sound like a real idiot, but like there's there's just there's no way, right?
- 19:13SPEAKER_02: No, there's no way, because no, no matter what you ingest, it's going to come out.
- 19:16SPEAKER_02: No matter how clean it is.
- 19:19unknown: Yeah.
- 19:19SPEAKER_02: If you eat nothing but lettuce, it's going to come out.
- 19:22SPEAKER_02: Like.
- 19:23SPEAKER_02: Oh, that I know.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: But also I I eat my lettuce, you know, with the healthy side of like chips and salsa.
- 19:31SPEAKER_02: So Lisa's a resident rabbit and she loves her.
- 19:37SPEAKER_02: Make sure she's not rabbit though.
- 19:40SPEAKER_02: She might have a rabbit day, but she's not a rabbit rabbit.
- 19:43SPEAKER_02: Say that three times fast.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: Yeah, I did eat my salad last night every night.
- 19:48SPEAKER_00: And it comes out, right?
- 19:50SPEAKER_00: Well, yeah.
- 19:51SPEAKER_00: Exactly.
- 19:52SPEAKER_00: But also, like I said, it's not like I eat very clean.
- 19:57SPEAKER_00: I, you know, that's it's balance.
- 20:02SPEAKER_02: Everything in moderation.
- 20:03SPEAKER_00: Like, I eat salad, but then I also eat, you know, like fried chicken, so and Chinese food.
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: And chips and salsa.
- 20:13SPEAKER_02: So as a person who lived about six, seven years of her life eating very clean, I gotta get back to it.
- 20:22SPEAKER_02: It's just so depressing to have to cook with myself.
- 20:25SPEAKER_02: It comes out.
- 20:26SPEAKER_02: It's still gonna come out.
- 20:29SPEAKER_02: But Annie asks him a very perceptive question.
- 20:33SPEAKER_02: She's asking him, is it that you want to be with me or you just don't want to be with her?
- 20:37SPEAKER_02: And pretty much like we know the answer.
- 20:40SPEAKER_02: Leave me alone.
- 20:42SPEAKER_02: But as they're having that thank you for dealing with me, hug, you know, thanks for being there for me, hug.
- 20:48SPEAKER_02: Here comes Ben.
- 20:49SPEAKER_02: He's like, Why aren't I surprised?
- 20:52SPEAKER_02: She's like, it's not what you think.
- 20:53SPEAKER_02: He's like, you're begging your shrink.
- 20:55SPEAKER_02: She's like, no, it's not.
- 20:57SPEAKER_02: He's like, but you're sneaking out.
- 20:58SPEAKER_02: And she goes, No, I'm doing my GED test.
- 21:01SPEAKER_02: I took my GED test again.
- 21:03SPEAKER_02: So Jim Ben is obviously happy for her.
- 21:05SPEAKER_02: So yay.
- 21:08SPEAKER_02: Um, of course, it took her like forever because her neighbor's Wi-Fi sucks.
- 21:13SPEAKER_02: But she's able to finally check her test.
- 21:16SPEAKER_02: And she found with Ben that she's gonna be.
- 21:19SPEAKER_00: She's like holding the laptop up in the shower.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: Yeah, right.
- 21:22SPEAKER_00: Trying to get a signal.
- 21:25SPEAKER_02: So she passed, and I like the fact that she found out she passed with Ben.
- 21:29SPEAKER_02: So that was a beautiful moment.
- 21:31SPEAKER_02: Stan comes home and tells Ruby that he got his cut from her idea.
- 21:36SPEAKER_02: And the living room is littered with fake bags.
- 21:40SPEAKER_02: As far as the eye can see, I would totally buy a fake Chloe.
- 21:44SPEAKER_02: I'm not above buying a fake bag.
- 21:46SPEAKER_02: I miss Canal Street.
- 21:48SPEAKER_02: And of course, how much money they make would depend on how much they can actually sell the bags for.
- 21:54SPEAKER_02: Oh, stop.
- 21:56SPEAKER_02: Pause.
- 21:56SPEAKER_02: I skipped the whole section.
- 21:58SPEAKER_02: Sorry.
- 21:59SPEAKER_02: Beth meets Rio.
- 22:01SPEAKER_02: Yeah.
- 22:02SPEAKER_02: And she goes to meet the boss.
- 22:06SPEAKER_02: And it's his granny.
- 22:07SPEAKER_02: And I am not surprised.
- 22:11SPEAKER_02: So she's having a little picnic with his whole family.
- 22:13SPEAKER_02: Like, can you imagine how many women date men and never meet their family?
- 22:19SPEAKER_02: She has a couple of cookies and does some illegal business transactions.
- 22:22SPEAKER_02: She's meeting the family.
- 22:23SPEAKER_02: I mean, she got everything.
- 22:24SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 22:26SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 22:27SPEAKER_02: Like, if you haven't met Dude's family, you need, you know, you need to know where you stand if you haven't met the family.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: Yeah, but maybe some dudes just take you to meet their family because they want you to be more than what you're doing.
- 22:40SPEAKER_02: Comfortable when they fuck you over.
- 22:43SPEAKER_02: At one point, so you have Rio's cus customer.
- 22:46SPEAKER_02: Rio's cousin kind of like asking the hard questions.
- 22:51SPEAKER_02: Rio actually puts his hand on Beth's back, dangerously close to the wire.
- 22:59SPEAKER_02: So she excuses herself.
- 23:00SPEAKER_02: She goes to take the wire off, and she's freaking out because she can't find anywhere to put it.
- 23:06SPEAKER_02: She hides it behind the shelving of books.
- 23:10SPEAKER_00: I know where I would have put it.
- 23:13SPEAKER_01: Where would you put it?
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: I would have put it where he where nobody was gonna find it that night because I wasn't gonna let myself get into that situation.
- 23:21SPEAKER_00: Oh not a grandma's house.
- 23:24SPEAKER_02: So But the Y is like a box, too.
- 23:26SPEAKER_02: Like there's a box to the Y.
- 23:28SPEAKER_00: It would have fit.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: You got you could a baby could come out of there.
- 23:32SPEAKER_00: I know you don't know that part.
- 23:33SPEAKER_00: You would have she would have been fine.
- 23:35SPEAKER_00: And if she didn't put it in, she just went out.
- 23:37SPEAKER_02: I do know that part, Lisa.
- 23:38SPEAKER_02: Just because I didn't know that part.
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: She could have just put it in her panties still.
- 23:43SPEAKER_00: Like it didn't have to go in.
- 23:46SPEAKER_00: She still could have just put it in her panties.
- 23:50SPEAKER_00: He wasn't gonna, you know.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: I mean, he might have, but that would have been a lot easier to like brush away in grandma's house than on the back.
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: She's saying.
- 24:02unknown: Okay.
- 24:03SPEAKER_00: I don't know why you look at me like that.
- 24:04SPEAKER_02: You said it could fit in there, so I'm just like, okay.
- 24:08SPEAKER_02: Then you kind of insulted me, but okay.
- 24:10SPEAKER_02: Um so I insulted.
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: Wait, wait, how did I insult you?
- 24:15SPEAKER_00: He's like, I know you don't know about that part.
- 24:17SPEAKER_00: Like, not exactly.
- 24:20SPEAKER_00: That's not an insult.
- 24:22SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it kind of sells my intelligence just a little bit there, but okay.
- 24:25SPEAKER_00: No, I don't just a little bit there.
- 24:29SPEAKER_00: I wasn't insulting your intelligence.
- 24:31SPEAKER_00: I meant from experience.
- 24:33SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 24:34SPEAKER_02: So he walks in after she hides it, and he goes, So I guess you figured it out.
- 24:40SPEAKER_02: And she's like, figure what out?
- 24:42SPEAKER_02: Grams loves Grisham, as the title of this episode is.
- 24:48SPEAKER_02: Um they do a little, they get a little bit of close.
- 24:53SPEAKER_02: She goes to take his pants off.
- 24:54SPEAKER_02: He's like, uh-uh.
- 24:56SPEAKER_02: He just pulls her dress up.
- 24:58SPEAKER_02: That's a quickie, that was a hot quickie, and I'm here for that.
- 25:02SPEAKER_02: As he's leaving, he goes, By the way, they like you.
- 25:07SPEAKER_02: And I guess he does too.
- 25:09SPEAKER_02: Like he likes her well enough.
- 25:12SPEAKER_02: Doing the whole you know moment, Agent Hotmes goes, What is she doing?
- 25:19SPEAKER_02: DL goes, she's improvising.
- 25:22SPEAKER_02: Then I was like, DL would know about that, but that's just my personal opinion.
- 25:26SPEAKER_00: I think most adults would know that, but Agent Hotmes is a little bit more socially stunted, so that's why she doesn't know that.
- 25:37SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 25:38SPEAKER_00: Like you and I would have figured it out.
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: And we're not like on the DL.
- 25:42SPEAKER_02: So, like you just would have well, I just think about of the two, he would have.
- 25:49SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 25:50SPEAKER_02: Yeah, that's what I meant.
- 25:51SPEAKER_02: Like, of the two, he definitely would have.
- 25:54SPEAKER_02: And you know, we just like sex.
- 25:56SPEAKER_02: So we I don't know me.
- 26:01SPEAKER_02: I probably would assume that even if they weren't, I wouldn't just assumed it because that's where my mind goes.
- 26:06SPEAKER_02: Oh, absolutely.
- 26:07SPEAKER_02: A hundred percent.
- 26:09SPEAKER_00: As soon as I was the right answer.
- 26:11SPEAKER_00: As soon as I heard one heavy breath, I would have been like, oh, hey now.
- 26:16SPEAKER_02: You're an all-star.
- 26:17SPEAKER_02: Get you cave on, go, go.
- 26:19SPEAKER_00: I would have been like, I'm listening.
- 26:22SPEAKER_01: I'm listening.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: I want to hear the ass clap.
- 26:25SPEAKER_00: Come on.
- 26:27SPEAKER_01: I just got a visual.
- 26:28SPEAKER_01: I'm sorry.
- 26:32SPEAKER_00: Lisa.
- 26:33SPEAKER_00: You know you would have been too, and everybody would have been.
- 26:35SPEAKER_00: And if you say no, you're fucking lying.
- 26:38SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 26:40SPEAKER_02: We need to be able to get a part-time job with some kind of agency so we can surveil just to listen to that.
- 26:48SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 26:49SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 26:50SPEAKER_00: I think I should be a sex phone operator.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: Is anybody hiring?
- 26:53SPEAKER_00: I could always use another job.
- 26:55SPEAKER_00: And I like the work-from-home aspect.
- 26:59SPEAKER_02: And the whole, like, I can see you doing, like, saying the nastiest shit as you're knitting and watching the office.
- 27:07SPEAKER_02: Jackie's yes.
- 27:10SPEAKER_00: Or maybe SVU.
- 27:12SPEAKER_00: You never know.
- 27:13SPEAKER_02: Oh, whatever.
- 27:14SPEAKER_02: Like the most unsexiest thing you will be doing as you're sitting there talking about.
- 27:20SPEAKER_02: Absolutely shit.
- 27:22SPEAKER_02: And I'm pretty sure every phone sex operator is doing the same thing.
- 27:25SPEAKER_02: They're probably like someone else.
- 27:27SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and if they're not, I think they're doing it wrong.
- 27:30SPEAKER_00: But if you own a sex hotline and you need an operator, just, you know, text the show.
- 27:39SPEAKER_00: Let us know.
- 27:40SPEAKER_00: We're I think we're both in at this point.
- 27:43SPEAKER_01: I'm in her hands.
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: Like, I'm in.
- 27:47SPEAKER_00: I'll make sure I have a cold.
- 27:50SPEAKER_00: Oh wow, that's a funny thing.
- 27:52SPEAKER_00: I will give myself a cold.
- 27:56SPEAKER_02: As we know, I sound better when I'm sick.
- 27:58SPEAKER_02: So I will I got I would stay.
- 28:00SPEAKER_00: Oh I I got everything you need right here.
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: Okay, anyway.
- 28:08SPEAKER_00: Oh, baby.
- 28:09SPEAKER_00: And here come all the unsolicited dick pics.
- 28:12SPEAKER_00: Great.
- 28:14SPEAKER_02: You know what would be really sad if we don't forget those.
- 28:17SPEAKER_00: Like I feel like I'll be offended.
- 28:20SPEAKER_00: If you send an unsolicited dick pic, I'm gonna judge it and post it.
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: And I'm gonna I'm gonna embarrass your dick.
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: So don't do that.
- 28:31SPEAKER_00: Don't do it.
- 28:33SPEAKER_00: I will make you cry.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: I hope they do so we can't make them cry.
- 28:37SPEAKER_00: Come on.
- 28:40SPEAKER_02: And we know what part of the 62 million they are part of.
- 28:44SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 28:44SPEAKER_02: Dean is very back at the Bullmann's house.
- 28:46SPEAKER_02: Dean is extremely frustrated.
- 28:48SPEAKER_02: He has a three-block radius of his house.
- 28:51SPEAKER_02: He rebuilt his bike so he can't.
- 28:53SPEAKER_02: Because you saw the guys.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: Huh?
- 28:56SPEAKER_00: On some days, I wish I had a three-block radius of my house.
- 29:03SPEAKER_02: You're like, sorry, can't.
- 29:04SPEAKER_02: Well, you know, we have the blueprint for that now.
- 29:09SPEAKER_02: Oh, that that's we've been watching it.
- 29:12SPEAKER_00: We can I don't know if we're gonna have to get a we've been taking notes.
- 29:16SPEAKER_00: We're fine.
- 29:17SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 29:18SPEAKER_02: Watching the what are they biking?
- 29:21SPEAKER_00: Are they like a just I want to say like a bike game, but it's it's like a biking club.
- 29:26SPEAKER_02: The unofficial biking club.
- 29:28SPEAKER_02: Yeah, bicycling club.
- 29:30SPEAKER_02: I think we need to say bicycling so we can understand.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: Cycling.
- 29:35SPEAKER_00: Bicycling.
- 29:36SPEAKER_00: Bicycling.
- 29:37SPEAKER_00: Bicycling.
- 29:41SPEAKER_01: Oh.
- 29:41SPEAKER_00: What is all bicycling?
- 29:43SPEAKER_00: A bicycling club.
- 29:47SPEAKER_00: Because we're idiots, that's why.
- 29:51SPEAKER_02: I'm gonna be saying that the whole day.
- 29:52SPEAKER_02: You know that, right?
- 29:53SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 29:54SPEAKER_00: Good.
- 29:54SPEAKER_02: Over and over.
- 29:55SPEAKER_02: Bicycling.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: You say that and you can think of me.
- 29:57SPEAKER_00: Bicycling.
- 29:58SPEAKER_00: Bicycling.
- 30:00SPEAKER_02: I feel like it's gonna be like you're gonna make that into a new position.
- 30:05SPEAKER_02: I feel like you're gonna make that into a position.
- 30:07SPEAKER_02: You're gonna make something dirty out of it.
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: Alright, I gotta think about what a bicycling position would be.
- 30:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah, you're gonna make it dirty.
- 30:15SPEAKER_02: Why someone be like, actually, this is what I'm waiting for that text.
- 30:20SPEAKER_02: Actually, it's already been.
- 30:22SPEAKER_00: It's already definitely gotta be something.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: As we go, at least it's Googling now.
- 30:27SPEAKER_00: Everything was something.
- 30:28SPEAKER_00: I should.
- 30:29SPEAKER_00: I'm not, but I should.
- 30:31SPEAKER_02: So when Beth comes home, obviously Dean is just a little full on looking at the guys just riding their bicycles without him.
- 30:39SPEAKER_02: And he feels like it's a whole new prison for him.
- 30:43SPEAKER_02: Beth then asks the kids to turn the TV up.
- 30:46SPEAKER_02: Dean has more FOMO.
- 30:49SPEAKER_02: He's having FOMO?
- 30:50SPEAKER_02: Is that what you said?
- 30:51SPEAKER_02: Mm-hmm.
- 30:52SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 30:53SPEAKER_02: I had a glitch of the There was a glitch of the Matrix.
- 30:55SPEAKER_02: Okay.
- 30:56SPEAKER_02: Oh.
- 30:57SPEAKER_02: Bethesda.
- 31:00SPEAKER_02: And then she gets to talking.
- 31:03SPEAKER_00: So that's the end of the episode.
- 31:06SPEAKER_00: I feel like that scene with Rio and Beth.
- 31:14SPEAKER_00: And I I know like you can't really answer because I don't remember.
- 31:19SPEAKER_02: Or don't know.
- 31:20SPEAKER_00: No, I don't know.
- 31:21SPEAKER_00: I don't I don't I I hate when you're like, oh, I don't remember because that's bullshit.
- 31:24SPEAKER_00: Because like you still understand the nuance of oh, I thought you'll be something else comic.
- 31:29SPEAKER_02: I thought you're gonna be something else.
- 31:31SPEAKER_00: Well, yes and no.
- 31:34SPEAKER_00: But like it made me kind of question, like, you know, in the last episode, he undressed her to check if she was wearing a wire.
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: Not the last episode, I think the episode before that.
- 31:46SPEAKER_00: Well, whatever.
- 31:47SPEAKER_00: Right.
- 31:47SPEAKER_00: Anyway, he previously undressed her to check for a wire.
- 31:52SPEAKER_00: Was that what he was doing now?
- 31:55SPEAKER_00: Or and did it like is is that what was in his mind?
- 32:00SPEAKER_00: But then because she came on to him, he was like, Well, maybe this is a way I can get both.
- 32:08SPEAKER_02: I think he would have checked before he sat her down with his family.
- 32:13SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 32:15SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 32:17SPEAKER_00: I mean it's that seems more logical, yes.
- 32:23SPEAKER_00: But I don't know, or or was it just like was it just that like element of sneakiness and danger and you know all of those kinds of things?
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: Was it to keep her into him?
- 32:45SPEAKER_00: You know what I mean?
- 32:46SPEAKER_00: Like I don't know, like that part just really had you know the the red string going.
- 32:57SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 32:59SPEAKER_00: Like it just seemed like, you know, one minute he's kinda like no and and what the fuck, and and the next minute he's like, come meet grandma.
- 33:08SPEAKER_00: Like So I d I don't know.
- 33:11SPEAKER_00: But um I don't I don't think I have anything else on this on this episode.
- 33:17SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 33:19SPEAKER_00: Next episode.
- 33:21SPEAKER_00: I think it's Carolyn with a Y.
- 33:24SPEAKER_00: Oh, okay, Carolyn with the Y.
- 33:27SPEAKER_00: What other letter would you put there?
- 33:29SPEAKER_00: Isn't it always a Y?
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 33:32SPEAKER_00: Anyway, that's not my name.
- 33:34SPEAKER_00: I don't know.
- 33:35SPEAKER_00: L-I-N-E.
- 33:37SPEAKER_00: That's Caroline.
- 33:39SPEAKER_00: Anyway, thank you for uh hanging out with us and listening to this episode.
- 33:43SPEAKER_00: Text us for stuff and you know, visit assassinstips.com for all the ways.
- 33:51SPEAKER_00: Don't drink and drive drunk responsibly, and until next time, I am Lisa.
- 33:56SPEAKER_00: And I am Agnes.
- 33:57SPEAKER_00: And we are out of here.
- 33:59SPEAKER_00: See you later.
- 34:00SPEAKER_00: Bye.
- 34:05SPEAKER_02: Speaking of glitch in the Matrix, do you remember the story I told you about Krista having my glitch in the matrix with me?
- 34:13SPEAKER_02: With the car?
- 34:14SPEAKER_02: Yeah, she's not re driving off the lot.
- 34:16SPEAKER_02: I was like, no, I'm upstairs at my desk.
- 34:18SPEAKER_02: She's like, no, I saw you remember.
- 34:21SPEAKER_02: I don't ask me why I checked this or something, made me check it around that same period.
- 34:26SPEAKER_02: Give or take a day or two.
- 34:28SPEAKER_02: I don't know exactly when they did it, but CERN was starting the re the awakening period of their particle accelerator, the particle accelerator.
- 34:44SPEAKER_02: They are starting to wake up the accelerator from its week.
- 34:46SPEAKER_02: They had like a winter shutdown.
- 34:49SPEAKER_02: They shut down for the winter.
- 34:51SPEAKER_02: Within a couple of days of that situation, they were starting to process open again.
- 34:55SPEAKER_02: They were reawakening it.
- 34:57SPEAKER_02: I was like, hmm, did that cause the glitch?
- 35:00SPEAKER_02: I don't know.
- 35:01SPEAKER_02: We never know.
