- 0:08Suze: April 9th, 2026. You know, KT, I keep saying August
- 0:14Suze: instead of April. Why do I keep doing that?
- 0:16KT: Because they start with A's.
- 0:17Suze: Is that what's happening to me?
- 0:19KT: That's all.
- 0:20Suze: Do you know how many times I've started something and
- 0:22Suze: I've said August? She says, Suze, it is April. Is anything
- 0:26Suze: happening in August that I want it to be August?
- 0:29KT: It's Colo's birthday.
- 0:31Suze: Oh, that might be it.
- 0:33KT: We like August, but, but we're in April, which is
- 0:36KT: still spring, and I love spring.
- 0:39Suze: You do. So let's spring into action.
- 0:41Suze: Welcome everybody to the Women and Money podcast.
- 0:44KT: And everyone's smart enough to listen.
- 0:45Suze: And this is the Ask KT and Suze Anything podcast.
- 0:50Suze: And if you have a question for us, just send
- 0:52Suze: it in to ask Suze, S U Z E. Do
- 0:55Suze: you think they know how to spell my name by now? Anyway,
- 0:58Suze: ask Suze podcast at gmail.com, and if KT picks it, oh,
- 1:03Suze: we will answer it on this podcast. However,
- 1:08Suze: the markets have given us some relief.
- 1:11KT: It's a crazy week, wasn't it?
- 1:12Suze: It's a crazy week, but everybody, I just want you
- 1:15Suze: to listen to me. Just because one day up, one
- 1:18Suze: day down, whatever, all based on what's happening over in Iran,
- 1:23Suze: we can't control what's happening over there. So just go slowly.
- 1:29Suze: But today, today's podcast, honestly, is about what you can control.
- 1:37Suze: What you can do to protect your entire financial universe. So,
- 1:43Suze: that's what today's podcast is all about. Take out your
- 1:48Suze: Suze notebooks and get ready. 'Cause this podcast, I have
- 1:53Suze: to tell you, KT and I have been working on
- 1:57Suze: what we're gonna talk about today for about two years. So,
- 2:01Suze: I want you to take this very seriously.
- 2:04Suze: I want you to take notes, and I really want
- 2:08Suze: you to take action.
- 2:10Suze: All right, now, as many of you know, for a
- 2:15Suze: few years now, people have been pretending to be me.
- 2:19Suze: You see them on Facebook. You see them all over
- 2:22Suze: the place, using my face, my voice, creating videos, even
- 2:28Suze: posting on the Women and Money Community app.
- 2:31Suze: And so many of you are writing in and you're
- 2:34Suze: asking me, Suze, is this real? Is this really you?
- 2:38Suze: Even KT, do you know, when we send out something
- 2:41Suze: that's real, people are like,
- 2:44Suze: Is this really you?
- 2:46KT: And we get these messages all the time. It's not
- 2:49KT: going away. It's actually getting worse.
- 2:52Suze: And the truth is that it breaks our hearts because
- 2:56Suze: the websites, KT.
- 2:59Suze: That are letting people do this, do you think they
- 3:01Suze: would help us? No, they do absolutely nothing, so I
- 3:05Suze: have to hire a lawyer. The lawyer writes. They take
- 3:08Suze: it down and they put it right back up. So
- 3:10Suze: there's no way I can control what scammers are doing.
- 3:16Suze: And that's why what we're talking about today, really, KT
- 3:20Suze: matters so much.
- 3:22Suze: Financial scams, and I have to tell you today you
- 3:27Suze: are finally going to hear about a solution that makes
- 3:31Suze: sense because scams today are sophisticated. They are targeted, and
- 3:37Suze: they are designed to make you feel completely safe when
- 3:41Suze: the fact of the matter is it's anything but safe.
- 3:45KT: Suze actually saw this writing on the wall a while
- 3:49KT: ago and that's why we started developing and working on
- 3:53KT: ways to protect your money from scammers.
- 3:57Suze: And what we've created really is called the
- 4:01Suze: Ultimate Scam Protection and we created it with Nord and
- 4:06Suze: I want you to understand this is not something that
- 4:09Suze: I put my name on lightly. This truly everybody was
- 4:13Suze: built to solve the real problem.
- 4:16Suze: And Nord, you've seen them. They're not a fly by
- 4:20Suze: night company. They're always on TV. They're there to protect you.
- 4:25Suze: They are a great company, but actually, truthfully, more important,
- 4:29Suze: they are great people.
- 4:31KT: Really great people, we spent a lot of time working
- 4:35KT: on this. Tell them why this program is different from
- 4:40KT: all the other things you see out there and why you want this.
- 4:43Suze: Do you remember KT? There was an identity theft program.
- 4:47Suze: That approached us a few years ago, they were willing
- 4:50Suze: to pay us a few million dollars. Do you remember that?
- 4:54Suze: If we would just tell everybody about it, I spent
- 4:58Suze: time talking to them. I went, I'm not doing this.
- 5:01Suze: I'm not doing this, KT, and I'll only do this
- 5:04Suze: with Nord if they put in the protection that I
- 5:08Suze: really think people need. Let me just tell you a
- 5:12Suze: little bit about it and why
- 5:14Suze: this is different than all the other programs out there now.
- 5:19Suze: The other programs, and we do this as well, they
- 5:22Suze: will monitor the dark web.
- 5:24Suze: So if your Social Security number is stolen, your email,
- 5:27Suze: your phone numbers are out there, it will be brought
- 5:30Suze: to your attention. So, it gives you the real-time alerts
- 5:34Suze: just like all the other programs.
- 5:37Suze: And yes, it also listen closely, it would also provide
- 5:41Suze: services up to $1 million to help you restore your identity,
- 5:46Suze: but for me that was never enough and by the way,
- 5:49Suze: it shouldn't be enough for you either. Because it's not
- 5:54Suze: just enough about you
- 5:55Suze: restoring your identity, what happens when you lose money? So,
- 6:01Suze: unlike other programs, here's where this one really takes flight.
- 6:06Suze: If you lose money, let's just say you make a mistake,
- 6:09Suze: you push a button when you didn't know you should
- 6:11Suze: push a button or whatever it is.
- 6:14Suze: You can recover up to $100,000 for online scams, and
- 6:21Suze: that's truly where almost all the scams begin. Alerts don't
- 6:27Suze: get your money back. Monitoring does not make you whole again.
- 6:32Suze: This program does.
- 6:35KT: So I'm like the perfect example of someone that needs this,
- 6:38KT: and
- 6:39KT: I get things all the time. I'm, I'm constantly saying, Suze,
- 6:43KT: do you know this person? Is this a real invitation?
- 6:46KT: Should I click on this? And she looks at me,
- 6:48KT: she yells across the room over and over again, KT delete, delete, delete.
- 6:53KT: Because I'm constantly getting scam attacks.
- 6:57Suze: Yeah, like, you think this can't happen to you? It,
- 7:00Suze: it could happen to KT almost every single day. Everybody,
- 7:04Suze: and you know, most of you are like KT more
- 7:06Suze: than you're like me. Tell them what happened the other
- 7:08Suze: day to you, KT.
- 7:09KT: We have a great friend who's a very, very well
- 7:12KT: known actress, and we hadn't heard from her in a
- 7:15KT: couple of months. We've all been busy. So I said, Susie,
- 7:17KT: I just got an invite from our friend so and so,
- 7:20KT: and I said, Did you get one too?
- 7:21Suze: And I said, no, but just be careful. Let me
- 7:25Suze: look at it. And yes, it was her email, so
- 7:29Suze: we clicked on it. When we clicked on it, it
- 7:32Suze: looked like one of those invites that open up, but
- 7:35Suze: this time it asked for a password. It had KT's
- 7:39Suze: email address, and under it it said put in your password.
- 7:43Suze: I said stop.
- 7:44KT: She said, delete, delete.
- 7:46Suze: I said delete it.
- 7:47Suze: We deleted it and sure enough the next day, the
- 7:51Suze: next day we get a real email from this woman saying...
- 7:56KT: Sorry everybody, I've been compromised. I'm so sorry. Please change
- 8:01KT: your passwords, especially Google passwords. I mean it was, and,
- 8:06KT: and I said wow, that is a serious scam. They
- 8:10KT: had her real email.
- 8:11Suze: Yeah, but here's the thing, this happens to KT at
- 8:15Suze: least once a week, at least once a week, and
- 8:18Suze: I keep saying, don't, don't, don't. Now I want you
- 8:21Suze: to think about this. What if I wasn't around?
- 8:25Suze: What if, what if KT was all by herself like
- 8:27Suze: maybe a lot of you are, and you just, you
- 8:30Suze: know how many times she would have been scammed already. KT,
- 8:35Suze: recently we got an email from somebody, and I want
- 8:38Suze: you to read it...
- 8:39KT: It's from Betty. Can we share it?
- 8:42Suze: We can share it, of course, but here's what I
- 8:43Suze: want you to understand. The reason why
- 8:47Suze: we actually did the Ultimate Scam Protection is because of
- 8:53Suze: all the emails over the years now we have gotten
- 8:57Suze: from many of you, way too many of you, saying
- 9:02Suze: this happened to me, that happened to me. This is
- 9:05Suze: an email that we recently got.
- 9:07KT: Yeah, this one we just got.
- 9:09Suze: So KT, read it to everybody because if you think
- 9:12Suze: this can't happen to somebody you know, I'm here to
- 9:16Suze: tell you it happens to more people than you have
- 9:18Suze: any idea. Go for it, KT.
- 9:20KT: So this email we got very recently from Betty in
- 9:24KT: the subject area, the reason I picked it, I, it
- 9:26KT: said husband is being scammed and doesn't believe it. So
- 9:31KT: this is a husband, usually it's, it's a widow, but ready.
- 9:34KT: Help, help, help, and sound the alarm. Married but amicably separated,
- 9:40KT: both 72 years old. Both have separate and mutual bank
- 9:44KT: accounts and a healthy stock portfolio. So Betty wrote to Suze,
- 9:50KT: while separated, my husband opened a few dating sites, and
- 9:54KT: the scammers plucked him immediately.
- 9:58KT: He says he met someone a few months ago and
- 10:02KT: was set to go meet her on a date 100
- 10:05KT: miles away. He showed up but she didn't.
- 10:09KT: Saying she had a family emergency and wondered if he
- 10:12KT: could send her some money to help her daughter get
- 10:15KT: out of the hospital. That's where everything started to get worse.
- 10:20KT: He said he could certainly help her. What does she need?
- 10:24KT: She says if he could just send a couple of
- 10:25KT: gift cards, that would be helpful. Just scratch off the
- 10:29KT: numbers on the back and send me a picture of it,
- 10:31KT: and I can cash it from there. He sent her
- 10:35KT: a $500 Apple gift card.
- 10:38KT: So it goes, you can imagine that wasn't the end
- 10:42KT: of it.
- 10:43KT: She managed to talk him into sending more and more
- 10:47KT: with the promise of meeting up, so he kept in
- 10:50KT: touch all in texts, never in person, never a phone call.
- 10:55KT: Thousands of dollars later he's been scooped up into other
- 11:00KT: people connecting by the dating sites, very friendly and always
- 11:05KT: asking for help.
- 11:06KT: His family and I have been researching all the things
- 11:09KT: that we can do to possibly protect us and him
- 11:13KT: from getting extorted further, but he doesn't believe he's being scammed.
- 11:18KT: He continues to keep sending gift cards to certain addresses,
- 11:23KT: ready for this, Suze, now, as well as wiring money
- 11:27KT: and tapping into our mutual account. This has been going
- 11:31KT: on now for almost a year.
- 11:34KT: And this is where Betty's really nervous, she said through
- 11:37KT: the tune of at least $50,000. Suze, my message and comment,
- 11:43KT: is hoping that you can pass this on to your
- 11:46KT: listeners of all ages. All the banks and companies say
- 11:49KT: it's unlikely he'll get his money back from anybody, but
- 11:54KT: just to let everyone know, the gift card scam is
- 11:58KT: very common, hard to trace and hard to recover.
- 12:02KT: The elderly are perfectly ripe for the picking. Suze, if
- 12:07KT: you have any words of wisdom to share with me
- 12:09KT: and your listeners, I would really appreciate it. Thank you
- 12:13KT: so much. I've loved listening to you for the last
- 12:16KT: 20 years.
- 12:18Suze: So that's probably why she's separated from him. But anyway,
- 12:21Suze: she wasn't smart enough to separate all their money. Just
- 12:24Suze: so you know, I answered Betty. I told her exactly
- 12:28Suze: what she needs to do in her particular situation. However,
- 12:33Suze: what can you do now? What could Betty have done
- 12:37Suze: to have gotten the money back if she had gotten
- 12:41Suze: the Ultimate Scam Protection just that simple for her husband,
- 12:46Suze: for herself, whatever it was, because this started online. She
- 12:52Suze: could have gotten back up to $100,000 so the money,
- 12:57Suze: the $50,000 or whatever it is that her husband has lost.
- 13:03Suze: Could have been restored now.
- 13:05KT: Wait, can you just tell people where to get this?
- 13:08Suze: Yeah, are you ready to go there right now?
- 13:10KT: No, no, no, but everyone's listening to us, but we're
- 13:13KT: not even telling them where to get the program, and
- 13:17KT: I want you to summarize everything again, but tell them
- 13:20KT: where to get it.
- 13:21Suze: I want all of you to go simply to my website, suzeorman.com.
- 13:28Suze: Think you could do that and look right there. You
- 13:30Suze: will
- 13:31Suze: see the ultimate scam protection banner. Just click on it
- 13:35Suze: and it will take you exactly to where you need
- 13:38Suze: to go. This is something that KT and I developed
- 13:43Suze: especially for all of you, cause it has everything in
- 13:48Suze: it that I want you to have and that I
- 13:51Suze: know you need to have. And so, since we're going
- 13:55Suze: there right now, let me just tell you a little
- 13:57Suze: bit about it.
- 13:58Suze: It is $95.88. You just need to know that, and
- 14:05Suze: that's for one year, and you have to pay it
- 14:08Suze: all at once. What that breaks down to is about
- 14:13Suze: $8 a month. No, I'm serious, KT.
- 14:16Suze: Do you think $8 a month or all at once,
- 14:20Suze: $95.88 is worth possibly protecting up to $100,000 in actual
- 14:28Suze: money that you would be paid back if you were
- 14:31Suze: scammed online. So I just want to tell everybody again.
- 14:37Suze: What's involved in this program. All right. Now, obviously, it
- 14:44Suze: has dark web monitoring. It has real-time alerts. It has,
- 14:49Suze: by the way, credit freeze assistance. Now, you know how
- 14:52Suze: I've said to you over all these years, freeze your credit,
- 14:56Suze: you know, I don't know how to do that.
- 14:58Suze: Well, this will help you freeze your credit and unfreeze
- 15:03Suze: your credit when in fact you want to apply for
- 15:07Suze: a credit. It has something that I love that I
- 15:11Suze: did this just for KT.
- 15:14Suze: Because let's say I'm not around. Seriously, I'm on vacation
- 15:18Suze: without you. How could I do that? Never would. However,
- 15:22Suze: she gets an email. She's not sure, is it a
- 15:26Suze: scam or not. She could send it into Nord, and
- 15:30Suze: they will verify, is it a scam or is it not.
- 15:34KT: I've already done. I've already done that,
- 15:37Suze: Yeah, because we both have this, by the way, yeah,
- 15:39KT: I have, I, I've had it for a month now.
- 15:42Suze: We have been testing this. Everybody who writes into me, seriously,
- 15:47Suze: I send it to Camille at Nord, who I love
- 15:50Suze: more than life itself, and they verify for me, would
- 15:55Suze: this be covered by this program.
- 15:57Suze: One was a Medicare scam. One was this one was that,
- 16:00Suze: and she comes back and says, yes, yes, yes. She
- 16:03Suze: also comes back and says, no, this isn't covered because
- 16:07Suze: it did not start online, but I want you to
- 16:09Suze: think about this, everybody. Most scams start online. They come
- 16:14Suze: to you through AI they come to you through the
- 16:17Suze: Women and Money app they come
- 16:19Suze: to you online. So that's why the online portion really,
- 16:25Suze: really matters. So besides scam verification, KT, they will provide
- 16:31Suze: up to $1 million of expenses to recover your identity.
- 16:37Suze: But more important than that, everybody.
- 16:41Suze: Is that they will give you up to $100,000 back
- 16:47Suze: if you lost money on an online scam.
- 16:53KT: So Suze, what's the difference between restoring your identity and
- 16:57KT: getting $100,000 back for lost money?
- 17:01Suze: I love that you asked that question.
- 17:03Suze: Restoring your identity, KT doesn't help that if you lost money,
- 17:09Suze: they're just simply making sure you have your identity back.
- 17:12Suze: But here is what makes this program different. Listen up, everybody.
- 17:18Suze: If you lost money to an online scam, you can
- 17:22Suze: get up to $100,000.
- 17:27Suze: If this scam started online.
- 17:30KT: And that alone is what's different with this program and
- 17:34KT: all the others.
- 17:35Suze: And that is why we did this. So we're doing
- 17:40Suze: this to protect you, we're doing this to protect ourselves,
- 17:44Suze: by the way, I'm definitely doing it so KT is protected and
- 17:49Suze: therefore our money is protected up to that amount.
- 17:53Suze: So that's why we have done this, and I am
- 17:56Suze: asking you, I haven't asked much of you over all
- 17:59Suze: these years, but I am asking you to go to suzeorman.com,
- 18:04Suze: look for the little banner that says Ultimate Scam Protection,
- 18:08Suze: and click it right there, and I hope you decide
- 18:12Suze: to do this because I want all of us to
- 18:16Suze: be protected
- 18:18Suze: against professional scammers that are so much smarter than you, KT,
- 18:25Suze: and me. So can you just do that? What do
- 18:28Suze: you wanna say, KT?
- 18:29KT: Is that this way I won't get all these emails saying, Suze,
- 18:33KT: is this real?
- 18:34Suze: Yeah, you know,
- 18:35KT: I'm getting so many, everybody.
- 18:37Suze: But I just have to say something. I have worked
- 18:41Suze: so hard over the past 40 years to really make
- 18:46Suze: sure that you're protected with your money, you're OK with it.
- 18:50Suze: You've invested it wisely. You've done this, your home, all
- 18:53Suze: of these things.
- 18:55Suze: And then enters professional scamming, artificial intelligence, all of these things.
- 19:03Suze: So what could I have done to make sure that
- 19:08Suze: that part of your life is protected?
- 19:11Suze: I could have done and I did, with KT, the
- 19:15Suze: ultimate scam protection just that simple. What's not that simple,
- 19:21Suze: and I just want to tell you all a few things,
- 19:24Suze: is this program is essentially an insurance policy that where
- 19:30Suze: you get money back, OK, you get that now.
- 19:34Suze: However, because of that, we have to make sure that
- 19:39Suze: it's really, really you when you are applying. Therefore, don't
- 19:45Suze: get frustrated when you do apply because we ask for
- 19:50Suze: multi-level authentications and it can be confusing. So there was
- 19:56Suze: a special help line set up just for you. So
- 20:00Suze: write down ask @ Nordprotect.com.
- 20:07Suze: Ask ASK at Nordprotect.com just for Suze people. So if
- 20:13Suze: you get stuck, if you don't understand something, if you
- 20:16Suze: have a question, that is where you are to write in.
- 20:21Suze: That's one thing you need to know. I need you
- 20:23Suze: to stick with it. A lot of people breeze through it.
- 20:27Suze: A lot of people get stuck when you have to
- 20:30Suze: do multi-level authentications. All right.
- 20:34Suze: Next, I'm so sorry to say this is not offered
- 20:38Suze: currently in New York. It's just not. Why? Because the
- 20:42Suze: legislators there are taking their time. Every other state passed it,
- 20:47Suze: but for some reason, New York is going slowly, so
- 20:50Suze: we'll just have to wait until they say, OK, you
- 20:54Suze: can get it here in New York.
- 20:56Suze: Next, it's an individual policy. I know a lot of
- 21:01Suze: you think, oh, I have joint accounts with my spouse
- 21:05Suze: and everything, so I just need one. No, you each
- 21:09Suze: need your own.
- 21:11Suze: So if you are married, you need one, your spouse
- 21:15Suze: needs one. It's just that simple. Individual family members need
- 21:20Suze: them because it's based on your individual email. So, KT
- 21:26Suze: has like three or four emails, so all of them
- 21:29Suze: are entered under her one account. I have a number
- 21:33Suze: of emails. All of them are entered under my one account,
- 21:37Suze: but KT's account
- 21:39Suze: with Nord would not protect me. A lot of you
- 21:43Suze: are gonna say, but don't they have a family plan?
- 21:46Suze: Not yet. And if they do, it's not gonna be
- 21:49Suze: any more cost efficient, trust me, than the $95.88 that
- 21:55Suze: this one costs, so
