Transcript
- 2:51Hello there, everyone. Welcome to God, TV radio.
- 2:54I am your host for the evening tto are.
- 2:59As you can see, I am not Brett keen and I'm just a little bit
- 3:04younger than Brett. But anyway, as you can see,
- 3:08also, I've played around with the overlay on screen.
- 3:12I decided to make something a little different, a little
- 3:15unique. Shall we say?
- 3:17I'm not used to Ryan. Alright.
- 3:20Stuff. But hey, it is what it is.
- 3:24Anywho now that I got your attention, here's the way things
- 3:29are going to go first, I'm going to plug some of my stuff and
- 3:33then we're going to talk about a topic that is very important to
- 3:39discuss and was actually inspired by my discussion with
- 3:42Olivia that I had last time I hosted which was Thursday last
- 3:46week. And then after I've had my
- 3:50Discussion about whether or not Jesus was God based on the Bible
- 3:55we should have plenty of time left over to bring people onto
- 3:58the show and have a discussion about whatever I talked about
- 4:02before or if there's some new or different topic you want to talk
- 4:06about. We can certainly do that but
- 4:09before we get into all kind of serious intellectual discussion,
- 4:14you should know right now that this YouTube channel of Brats is
- 4:19not the only Place that were streaming to at the moment.
- 4:23Not only are we streaming here on YouTube but I'm restreaming
- 4:26this broadcast over onto my Josh Who TV channel.
- 4:30So let me just set up the screen share so that you can know where
- 4:34to go. If for some reason YouTube
- 4:36decides to pull the plug on breath Channel, let me go ahead,
- 4:40hit that go ahead and share entire screen and then I got an
- 4:46ad to stream. There we go.
- 4:49So this is Joshua. TV.
- 4:50This is what it looks like. Now if you decide to come here
- 4:54and watch the stream on joshu TV, instead of this YouTube
- 4:57channel, or if you want to know where to go, if the YouTube
- 5:01version of the stream gets taken down and you want to see the
- 5:04rest of it on Joshua TV, you go to Joshua tv.com.
- 5:09Then next to the search bar, there's this circle button, you
- 5:11click on it then you click on joshu livestreams.
- 5:16And then you get the page of all the current live streams going
- 5:19on right now. You scroll all the way to the
- 5:22bottom, where all the users actually are.
- 5:27Well, I thought you went there. Oh, I guess it flipped over
- 5:32again. Well anyways, you can see here.
- 5:34Second stream listed is the current one.
- 5:37We'll go ahead and open that. And we already have it muted so
- 5:44that way we don't have that weird awkward Echo but this is
- 5:49where are you can watch the stream if you don't want to
- 5:52watch it on YouTube over the next couple hours.
- 5:55So that's how you do it joshu TV joshu TV live streams page, you
- 6:00should be able to find it pretty easy.
- 6:02God TV radio, and the titles, kind of the giveaway.
- 6:05So now, that we've done all of that, now that we've talked
- 6:10about Where you can find this stream.
- 6:14Let's go ahead and do some tto. Our plug-in that Tada activate.
- 6:20My screen share powers. All right, so this should do it.
- 6:26So obviously you can find me here on YouTube, Which you can
- 6:31see right here on the screen. I don't have too many videos.
- 6:36And that's because I started this particular Channel about a
- 6:39month and a half ago, and if you want to see my content that is
- 6:44obviously not part of Brett's live streams.
- 6:46You can go to my YouTube channel to start just to see what I got
- 6:50there. But YouTube of course, is not
- 6:53the only place that I put my content to.
- 6:55I'm also on joshu TV, which you can see right here on the
- 6:59screen. This is Actually, what I
- 7:01consider to be my primary platform because I live stream
- 7:04here, and I use my joshu TV channel to put my content onto
- 7:10Roku, as well as onto the joshu radio network.
- 7:14And I get hundreds of views on pretty much all my joshu TV
- 7:17videos after I share them around social media.
- 7:20So I'm doing very good here. I actually have one of the top
- 7:24ten channels on joshu TV. Just to give you an idea of how
- 7:27small the site it is. But I'm doing well here.
- 7:30And this is another great place. You can watch my content a place
- 7:33where freedom of speech is honored and you don't have to
- 7:35worry about any kind of censorship at all.
- 7:39I also am on bit shoot where I have just under twenty three
- 7:42hundred subscribers and I'm actually in the top 5% of
- 7:47creators on bit, shoot in terms of subscriber, count and Total
- 7:50video views. So, that's another place you can
- 7:53find my content and then, of course, I'm on YouTube where I
- 7:56have 159 subs and I back up my videos here.
- 8:01And if you scroll through my library, you'll see, I have
- 8:03hundreds of views on W of my videos on YouTube, so that's
- 8:07also a good place to find my content as well.
- 8:11As far as social media goes. There's a few places actors.
- 8:15A lot of places you can find me, but I'll give you three easy
- 8:18ones that are easy enough to remember first, there's my
- 8:21account on gab, I have over thirteen hundred followers on
- 8:25Gap because I've been on it since December of 2017.
- 8:29So I've had time to grow my Following their I even got the
- 8:32blue check mark. So you know, it's me on gab.
- 8:36So if you want to follow me on gab, enjoy yourself and keep up
- 8:40with my updates. There, I'm also on getter, which
- 8:43is another Twitter alternative where I have 179 followers.
- 8:47And I also share my content here.
- 8:50So if you don't like Twitter but you don't like yeah.
- 8:52But you want to follow me somewhere that you may like get
- 8:55as a good place to do that. You'll find the links to all the
- 8:59sites. I've mentioned in the
- 9:00description box. Well, I'm also on Twitter under
- 9:04the username tto are underscore official.
- 9:07Now, the Elon Musk owns Twitter, there's a Theory.
- 9:11Possibly a conspiracy theory will see that Twitter is about
- 9:15to get a lot more free in terms of the things you can say and do
- 9:18on there. I've been on Twitter for a while
- 9:21before this anyway. But go ahead and follow me on
- 9:25Twitter if you want and you can keep up with my updates and
- 9:28whatnot over on Twitter as well. That one's not in the
- 9:33description box below, but just go to Twitter.
- 9:35Type in tto, are underscore official.
- 9:38And you'll find me. Now before we get into the more
- 9:41serious part of our live stream, we're going to go ahead and
- 9:46promotes a little project that I'm working on one that
- 9:50primarily I need to raise some funds for in order to make it
- 9:53happen. I'm trying to start my own
- 9:55video, sharing site called quarter because I'm tired of
- 9:58YouTube censorship. I'm tired of alt text sites.
- 10:01That got popular in terms of video sharing sites that are run
- 10:05by lying grifters, who adopted all the same censorship policies
- 10:08and AI systems that YouTube and big Tech does.
- 10:12So, I want to start one of my own, my own YouTube alternative
- 10:16that doesn't do any of that crud.
- 10:18And that's where I came up with the quarter project here.
- 10:22I have the gift sent go campaign for the quarter project.
- 10:25I'm trying to raise two thousand dollars so that I can start and
- 10:28run the site for a year and so far Raised $177.
- 10:33So if you want to support the quarter project and help me
- 10:37create a video sharing site that actually Champions freedom of
- 10:40speech, while simultaneously, having all of the features, you
- 10:44would want in a video sharing site, I would encourage you to
- 10:47contribute to the quarter project through the gifts and go
- 10:49campaign. There's also the flatter account
- 10:52I made for the quarter project where you can do one-time or
- 10:55monthly tips and donations all the money you send through that
- 10:59will also go towards the project.
- 11:01Act. So if you want to help that way
- 11:04you can, so that's it. That's where you can find me on
- 11:08social media, generally speaking, and that's the big
- 11:11project I'm working on that. I'd love to deliver to you guys
- 11:15as soon as possible. As soon as I raise the two
- 11:17thousand dollars, I'll be able to get the site started because
- 11:21I have the hosting provider all set up.
- 11:24I know which servers I need. I have the script picked out, my
- 11:27friend is an expert with the script so he'll help me set it
- 11:30up. Make it just right.
- 11:32And I know what kind of plugins I can get for the script and
- 11:34make the cite feature Rich. It's just a matter of raising,
- 11:38the two thousand dollars so that I can make all of that happen.
- 11:42So if you want to contribute to the quarter Project, Feel free
- 11:45to do so and the description box below, either through Gibson go
- 11:49or flatter will stop sharing that.
- 11:54Go ahead and put that there. So now I just got to set up all
- 11:59the Bible verses that we need for the next part of the show.
- 12:04But that's going to take a little bit, 12 verses in total,
- 12:08which means I got to open up. Bible, Gateway 12, different
- 12:12times. That's going to be a lot of fun
- 12:15for sure. So far, we're at four and maybe
- 12:20we can make a song out of this. I don't know.
- 12:23This is number five. Six, I got my notes.
- 12:29All written down here on my notepad on my computer.
- 12:32One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, Hey 8910. 11.
- 12:49Twelve. Yeah, Brett's not here yet.
- 12:52He might pop in at some point later on.
- 12:54But hey, I'll try to entertain you in the meantime but no
- 12:58promises. You know, According to some
- 13:01people, I'm just a big dumb dumb who doesn't know anything about
- 13:04anything so if I try to entertain you guys, that could
- 13:07go horribly wrong. So hold your breath.
- 13:11But I do see your comments there.
- 13:13I do see Matthew and Morty, McFly and I see Shayla
- 13:16Somerville Halo Shayla And I see revolver Bernie.
- 13:21Well, that's really interesting. Glad to see you all here.
- 13:25Let's see. So I got one, two, three, four,
- 13:27five, six, seven, eight, nine, ten, eleven, twelve.
- 13:31I kind of figured Brett was going to be here at the start,
- 13:34but I guess he's just got some stuff.
- 13:35He needs to figure out or that he's got to do.
- 13:39So cage on 24th or 29. Okay, let's not not the one I
- 13:49wanted to click on. Yeah, there we go.
- 13:53Matthew 21. Okay.
- 13:54So yeah, I'm kind of doing this all in one browser.
- 14:01I'm starting to think. Maybe I should have set up
- 14:03another browser with all these Bible verses.
- 14:07You know that might have been the smart thing to do, but what
- 14:10do I know? I'm just the master of
- 14:12retrospect. Okay. 25.
- 14:23Okay, so now we got some Old Testament.
- 14:25Jeremiah 17:9 through 10. My 79 through 10.
- 14:41Oh come on. You know my fingers really need
- 14:43to type today but they just don't cooperate.
- 14:47And then I think First Kings, yeah, yeah, 37 through 40.
- 14:54Yeah, that's what the cool people do is they tell you what
- 14:56Bible, verses they're going to look up before they actually
- 14:59bring it up. Okay.
- 15:08Isaiah 55. Yep.
- 15:15We're still kicking it kicking that Bible addiction by quoting
- 15:20Bible verses 08, you know, that's not actually kicking the
- 15:23addiction, never mind. I lied.
- 15:27John 10:22. Almost done people.
- 15:34Almost done. I'm almost ready to share what I
- 15:37really wanted to share. See you John.
- 15:43I believe that's the one. Yes.
- 15:48And then just one more. Exodus 3.
- 15:56All right, looks like I got everything set up.
- 16:00I'm ready to present to you the main serious topic.
- 16:04I wanted to present before we get into the open discussion
- 16:08part of the show. So, last week, I was I see a ver
- 16:12Livia. I was actually talking to Olivia
- 16:15last week about well, several things, in fact, mostly centered
- 16:19around creation versus Evolution, but there was one
- 16:22part of our discussion where Olivia was genuinely When I
- 16:27brought up that Jesus claimed to be God and that people worship
- 16:30him as God and he didn't reject their worship or rebuke them in
- 16:34any way. She was actually quite
- 16:36surprised. So, I figured, you know what,
- 16:40this stream would be a good time to go over some of the Bible
- 16:44passages, where Jesus claimed to be God and did things that only
- 16:48God can do. And even at one point, he just
- 16:52point blank called himself Yahweh.
- 16:55So we're going to see Be here for over the next probably 10
- 16:58minutes or so, that Jesus was not an ordinary man, or at best.
- 17:03He at least didn't consider himself to be an ordinary, man.
- 17:07Of course, was a bible-believing Christian, I believe he was not
- 17:11an ordinary man. He was God incarnate, but we're
- 17:13going to see that here as soon as I start sharing the screen
- 17:16again. So let's go ahead share.
- 17:20Entire screen, click that button and then add it to the stream.
- 17:26Wish you would just add it to the stream automatically,
- 17:28instead of me having to manually do it.
- 17:30So here we have the passage we brought up before on a different
- 17:34stream and John chapter 20 verses 24 through 29, we read
- 17:40now, Thomas also known as didymus.
- 17:43One of the twelve was not with the disciples when Jesus came so
- 17:47the other disciples. Paul's told him we have seen the
- 17:49Lord, but he said to them, unless I see the nail marks in
- 17:53his hands and put my finger where the nails were, and put my
- 17:57hand into his side. I will not believe a week later,
- 18:01his disciples were in the house again and Thomas was with them
- 18:05though the doors were locked Jesus came and stood among them
- 18:08and said peace be with you. Then he said to Thomas, put your
- 18:12finger here, see my hands, reach out your hand and put it into my
- 18:16side. Stop Up doubting and believe
- 18:19Thomas said to him, my Lord and my God, then Jesus told him
- 18:24because you have seen me. You have believed.
- 18:27Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.
- 18:31Now we see in these last two verses, something, very
- 18:35interesting, Thomas calls Jesus his Lord and his God as in
- 18:41capital G. God, as in Yahweh, the god of
- 18:44the Old Testament does Jesus rebuked him does Jesus.
- 18:47To him, dude, I'm just a man. Don't make me out to be God,
- 18:51know his response to Thomas is because you have seen me, you
- 18:56have believed believed, what you believe that Jesus is God.
- 19:02So, Jesus is actually affirming that he's God, and basically,
- 19:05commending Thomas for believing that he's God, and then Jesus
- 19:09points out. That blessed are those who have
- 19:11not seen and yet believed in other words, people like me,
- 19:15people like my contemporary Christian brothers and sisters
- 19:18who did not get to live and see. Jesus first hand in the first
- 19:21century and yet, we believe that he is God and we put our trust
- 19:26in to him in the form of a personal saving relationship.
- 19:30So, Jesus had a perfect opportunity here to say, I'm not
- 19:34God when Thomas called him his God.
- 19:37And yet, Jesus didn't even attempt to rebuke him, didn't
- 19:40even deny. He was God, he affirmed.
- 19:43That he was God. That was what we looked at the
- 19:46last dream, I believe it was. But let's go into some other
- 19:49more interesting things. Here, we have Matthew 21:14
- 19:54through 17, where we read the following the Blind.
- 19:59And the lame came to him at the temple and he healed them when
- 20:02the chief priests and the teachers of the law saw, the
- 20:04wonderful things he did and the children shouting in the temple
- 20:07courts, Hosanna to the son of David.
- 20:09They were indignant. Do you hear what these children
- 20:12are saying? They asked him?
- 20:14Yes, replied. Jesus, have you never read from
- 20:17the lips of children and infants?
- 20:19You Lord have called forth your praise And he left them and went
- 20:23out of the city to Bethany where he spent the night.
- 20:28Now, we notice right here in verse 16 that Jesus is actually
- 20:31quoting from a scripture. The scripture he's quoting from
- 20:35is actually Psalm chapter 8, verses 1 through 2 which says
- 20:40the following Lord. Our Lord.
- 20:42How Majestic is your name? In all the Earth.
- 20:45You have set your glory in the heavens, through the praise of
- 20:48children and infants, you have established a stronghold against
- 20:51your Enemies to silence the Foe and the Avenger.
- 20:56So what we see here in Matthew 21 14 through 17, is that Jesus
- 21:01quotes. A Psalm where children were
- 21:03praising God and infants were praising God.
- 21:07In order to justify, allowing children to praise and worship
- 21:11himself in the temple in the first century.
- 21:15Now, if Jesus was just an ordinary man, he would not have
- 21:19done this, but if he considered himself to be God, then his
- 21:22actions here makes sense. Why would I tell children to
- 21:26stop worshipping me? They're supposed to worship God.
- 21:31So, Matthew, 21:14 through 17 is an instance, where Jesus clearly
- 21:37was making an indirect claim to be God.
- 21:41Now, another one I want to look at, actually, I'm going to stop
- 21:44sharing the screen for a moment. There's Brett.
- 21:49Hey, Brett hey, just listening to your doing anything man.
- 21:55Sneaky sneaky brat Keen is. I hope you like the over way.
- 22:00Yeah, it's cool. Them, Rock and Rollin now.
- 22:03Anyway, let me get back to where I was.
- 22:06I just knew somehow in the back of my head.
- 22:08Brett's just going to show up. I know he is.
- 22:13Oops, wrong button. That's not it there.
- 22:17That's it. John to 23 through 25.
- 22:23Now while he was in Jerusalem at the Passover Festival, many
- 22:26people saw the signs. He was performing in believed in
- 22:28his name, but Jesus would not entrust himself to them for.
- 22:33He knew all people, he did not need any testimony about Mankind
- 22:38for, he knew what was in each person.
- 22:42Now, this is very interesting here.
- 22:44It says, Jesus knows all people and he knows what's in it.
- 22:49Person. It's almost like he can see into
- 22:53their hearts. Now this is very important if
- 22:56you're familiar with the Old Testament because the Old
- 22:59Testament teaches only God can see into people's hearts but
- 23:04let's not take my word for it. Jeremiah 17:9 through. 10 says
- 23:10the heart is deceitful above all things and Beyond here who can
- 23:13understand it, I the Lord search the heart and examine the mines
- 23:17to reward each person according to their Conduct according to
- 23:21what their deeds deserve. So we see here in this passage
- 23:25that God searches the heart in Psalm 44, 20 through 22.
- 23:30We read. If we had forgotten the name of
- 23:32our God or spread out our hands to a foreign God would not God
- 23:36have discovered it. Since he knows the secrets of
- 23:38the heart, yet for your sake, we Face death all day long.
- 23:41We are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.
- 23:44So C. We see here especially in verse
- 23:4621 that God knows the So the heart so God examines the heart,
- 23:53he knows the secrets of the heart.
- 23:55Then in First Kings 8 37 through 40, King Solomon says when
- 24:01famine or plague comes to the land or blight or mildew locusts
- 24:04are grasshoppers or when an enemy besieges them in any of
- 24:08their cities, whatever, disaster or disease may come.
- 24:11And when a prayer or plea is made by anyone among your People
- 24:14Israel, being aware of the afflictions of their own hearts
- 24:17and sprain out their hands towards this Temple.
- 24:20Then hear from Heaven, your Dwelling Place forgiving act
- 24:24deal of everyone, according to all they do since, you know,
- 24:27their hearts for you alone know, every human heart.
- 24:31So that they will fear you all the time.
- 24:33They live in the land you gave our ancestors.
- 24:36So according to King Solomon, the man who God himself said is
- 24:40the wisest person who has ever lived and will ever live.
- 24:44God Alone knows every human heart.
- 24:48So we know from the Old Testament.
- 24:49That God examines human hearts. He sees the secrets of the human
- 24:54heart and he alone knows every human heart.
- 24:58So in John 2 23 through 25 says that Jesus knows all people and
- 25:02what is in each of them that is clearly a claim to Jesus being
- 25:07God in human form because he's able to know all people and see
- 25:12into each of their hearts, which is something only God can do.
- 25:17Now, another fun passage is Mark 2 verses 1 through 12, which is
- 25:23a rather famous story in the gospels, about Jesus and the
- 25:26paralyzed, man, that was lowered through the roof in front of
- 25:29him. Because the crowd outside the
- 25:31house that he was in was so crowded that the guys couldn't
- 25:34bring their friend to Jesus. So, they had to get a little
- 25:37creative. Well, In this passage, we read a
- 25:42few days later when Jesus again, entered Capernaum, the people
- 25:46heard that he Come home, they gathered in such large numbers
- 25:49that there was no room left, not even outside the door and he
- 25:52preached the word to them. Some men came bringing to him, a
- 25:55paralyzed man carried by four of them, since they could not get
- 25:59him to Jesus because of the crowd, they made an opening in
- 26:03the roof above Jesus, by digging through it.
- 26:05And then lowered the mat, the man was lying on when Jesus saw
- 26:08their faith. He said to the paralyzed man.
- 26:11Son, your sins are forgiven. Now, some teachers of the law
- 26:15were sitting there thinking In to themselves.
- 26:17Why does this fellow talk like that?
- 26:19He's blaspheming, who can forgive sins, but God alone,
- 26:23immediately, Jesus knew and his spirit that this is what they
- 26:26were thinking in their hearts and he said to them.
- 26:29Why are you thinking these things?
- 26:30Which is easier to say that this paralyzed man your sins are
- 26:33forgiven or to say, get up, take your mat and walk but I want you
- 26:37to know that the son of man has Authority on Earth to forgive
- 26:40sins. So he said to the man I tell you
- 26:43get up take your mat and go home, he got up Took his mat and
- 26:48walked out in full view of them. All this amazed everyone and
- 26:51they praised God saying, we have never seen anything like this.
- 26:56So when the man on the mat was lowered through the roof and
- 26:59presented to Jesus, Jesus looked at the man and told him that his
- 27:03sins were forgiven. Now, why, oh, why did the
- 27:07teachers of the law who were sitting there in the room?
- 27:09Think to themselves? That Jesus was blaspheming.
- 27:12And that only God could forgive sins.
- 27:15There's actually a verse in Isaiah that would have led them
- 27:18to this conclusion and Isaiah 43:25.
- 27:22God says I even I am he who blots out your transgressions
- 27:27for my own sake and remembers your sins.
- 27:30No more. So the religious leaders of
- 27:33Jesus time were familiar with this verse.
- 27:36They believed because of this verse that, only God can truly
- 27:41forgive someone sins. And so when Jesus claimed to
- 27:45forgive the sins, The paralyzed man.
- 27:48They immediately thought of this verse in Isaiah.
- 27:50And since they didn't want to believe or accept that Jesus was
- 27:54God, they thought he was blaspheming.
- 27:57And so it says, here in the passage that this is what they
- 28:00were thinking in their heads. And because Jesus could see into
- 28:04their hearts, he said out loud what they were thinking in their
- 28:08heads and then he healed some, he has, we can see in the verse
- 28:12and from what Jesus said, he healed the man to prove that he
- 28:16had the authority to forgive sins.
- 28:18In other words, he healed the man to prove that he is God.
- 28:23And that's exactly what he did in front of a large crowd of
- 28:27witnesses. And a lot of people were very
- 28:29impressed to say the least by this healing.
- 28:34Now, the next passage I'm thinking of is actually found in
- 28:38John 20 to her, John 10 verses 22 through 33, my mistake, this
- 28:44is actually a very easy one because The explanation is right
- 28:48there in the text. Then came the Festival of
- 28:51dedication at Jerusalem, it was Winter, and Jesus was in the
- 28:55temple courts, walking in Solomon's, Colonnade, the Jews
- 28:59who were there gathered around him saying, how long will you
- 29:02keep us in suspense? If you are the Messiah, tell us
- 29:05plainly. Jesus answered, I did tell you
- 29:08but you do not believe the works.
- 29:09I do in my father's name testify about me, but you do not believe
- 29:13because you are not my sheep. My sheep, listen to my voice, I
- 29:17know them and they follow me. I give them.
- 29:20Colonel life and they shall never perish.
- 29:21No one will snatch them out of my hand.
- 29:24My father who has given them to me is greater than all?
- 29:27No one can snatch them. Out of my father's hand, I and
- 29:30the father are one again. His Jewish opponents picked up
- 29:34stones, to Stone him, but Jesus said to them, I have shown you
- 29:37many good works from the father for which of these.
- 29:40Do you Stone me? We are not stoning you for any
- 29:42good work, they are applied, but for blasphemy because you a mere
- 29:47man, claimed to be God. So here we see in this passage,
- 29:51Jesus claimed that he and the father are one and his listeners
- 29:57picked up stones to Stone him because they understood rightly,
- 30:00but he was claiming to be God and they obviously couldn't
- 30:03accept that and so they were determined to kill him, right?
- 30:06Then. And there, So based on the
- 30:09response of his listeners, we know that when Jesus claimed
- 30:12that the father and him are one, he was claiming to be God, his
- 30:16own audience wanted to kill him because of this.
- 30:20Now the last example we have of Jesus claim to deity is actually
- 30:25found in John chapter 8 verses 57 through 59 which says you are
- 30:32not yet, fifty years old. They said to him and you have
- 30:35seen Abraham very truly. I tell Do you Jesus answered
- 30:39before Abraham was born? I am at this.
- 30:43They picked up stones to Stone him, but Jesus, hid himself
- 30:46slipping away from the temple grounds.
- 30:49Now why, oh, why would the listeners of Jesus?
- 30:52Pick up stones to kill him when he calls himself?
- 30:56I am, well, let's turn to Exodus chapter 3 verses 13 through 14
- 31:01and find out. Moses said to God suppose I go
- 31:06to the Israelites and say to them the god of your father's
- 31:09has sent me to you and they ask me.
- 31:11What is his name then? What shall I tell them?
- 31:14God said to Moses, I am who I am.
- 31:17This is what you are to say to the Israelites.
- 31:19I am has sent me to you. So as we can see from Exodus
- 31:243:14, God literally calls himself.
- 31:28I am, when Moses asks him, what shall I say to the Israelites?
- 31:32When they ask who sent me? Who should I say sent me God,
- 31:36called himself. I am, which is the English
- 31:38translation of Yahweh. So when Jesus called himself, I
- 31:44am in John 8:58, he was literally claiming to be the
- 31:47same. God, who spoke to Moses in the
- 31:50burning bush back in Exodus chapter 3 and because the crowd
- 31:54around him was not willing to accept that they picked up
- 31:58stones to Stone him and Jesus made himself disappear.
- 32:02So as we can see, from this whole Litany of passengers, that
- 32:05we just read through in the last several minutes, Jesus was
- 32:09worshipped as God. He Accepted people's worship and
- 32:13he accepted their claim. That Jesus was God, when Thomas
- 32:17called him, God, he accepted it. We see that Jesus had the
- 32:21attributes of God. We see Jesus performing Miracles
- 32:24and doing things only God can say and do.
- 32:27And we even see, Jesus, literally calling himself,
- 32:30Yahweh. The same God who spoke to Moses
- 32:33at the burning bush, and Exodus chapter 3.
- 32:36The same God who spoke to Abraham in Genesis chapters 17
- 32:40through 19. 18. So if you're one of these people
- 32:44watching and you like to think of Jesus as a nice guy, who is
- 32:49about peace and love and he was a good moral teacher, Jesus did
- 32:54not present himself in this manner to people in the first
- 32:57century in his three-year Ministry.
- 33:00Jesus clearly did not consider himself to be a normal human
- 33:03being. He identified himself as the god
- 33:07of the Old Testament, he identified himself specifically
- 33:10as Yahweh There was no confusion with his audience and he said in
- 33:14did only the things Yahweh can say and do.
- 33:19So the best case scenario for people who don't believe in the
- 33:22Jesus of the Bible is that the true Jesus considered himself to
- 33:27be the god of the Old Testament. And then he performed miracles
- 33:30to justify his claim which some people tried to explain away as
- 33:35Jesus being trained in the sorcery of the Egyptians.
- 33:38And that's what he used to portray himself as Is God, the
- 33:42worst case scenario for people who don't believe in the Jesus
- 33:45of the Bible is that Jesus was exactly who he claimed to be,
- 33:49which is The Great. I Am the Yahweh of the Old
- 33:53Testament. He was not a mere man, he was
- 33:55not merely a good teacher, he was God In the Flesh.
- 34:00And the reason why he came to the earth and the first century,
- 34:02lived a sinless life and did a three-year Ministry and then was
- 34:07sentenced to death on a cross, is because he was paying the
- 34:10price for the sins. Ends of all mankind, past
- 34:13present and future. So that when his sacrifice is
- 34:16applied to the sin, Ledger of those who accept the offer of
- 34:19forgiveness, that God gives them, his sacrifice will
- 34:23literally pay make payment for all the sins that person has
- 34:26committed. I'm extremely thankful for that
- 34:29because my sin Ledger is long enough lie.
- 34:32Most people's sin Ledger is long enough ugly.
- 34:35So I'm very, very thankful that Jesus did that for us, but it's
- 34:40pretty obvious who Jesus claimed to be.
- 34:43And so, my parting thought on this subject is, if you're going
- 34:47to accept or reject Jesus, you should accept or reject him as
- 34:52he really is. And as he claimed to be, and
- 34:55clearly, the Jesus of the Bible claim to be God in human form.
- 34:59And he also claimed to be very exclusive.
- 35:02After all, John 14:6 through 7, Jesus said that he was the way
- 35:06and the truth and the life and that there was no other way to
- 35:09God, but through him. So if we're going to accept or
- 35:15reject Jesus, let's accept or reject them based on who and
- 35:19what he really is and not what you want them to be.
- 35:23And that's all I have to say on that subject.
- 35:27Is there anything you'd like to add Brett.
- 35:32Well, there's quite a few times and he pointed out a passage
- 35:36where the disciples and the people who are following, they
- 35:39actually call him God and Lord. And the fact that he doesn't try
- 35:44to correct them or tell them, no that's not the case because if
- 35:48he wasn't God and he was some something else as a mere human,
- 35:53he would have been formed them. That would have been a form of
- 35:56blasphemy of some sort. I would suspect but no, that's
- 36:00one of the reasons why they crucified him in the Place and
- 36:03tested him over and over because they believed that he was
- 36:05claiming to be the god of the Old Testament so good passages
- 36:11great teaching. That's also another good point
- 36:13because if Jesus was really this nice guy who's all about peace
- 36:17and love and harmony and all this stuff, you have a really
- 36:21big problem because you have to figure out, well, if he was just
- 36:24that, why did they kill him? But since we see that he was
- 36:29claiming to be the Yahweh of the Old Testament and they were
- 36:32Refuse to accept that. It's the makes the reason why
- 36:35they killed him much more understandable than the
- 36:37alternative. Is that John?
- 36:41Casilla, your friend that I'm seeing down there might be, or
- 36:44it might be somebody doing a video Loop.
- 36:46That's why it's best to say, John.
- 36:48Can you give us the middle finger or wave at us?
- 36:52John, can you give us a thumbs up with your left hand?
- 36:55If that's really you Yeah, see it's a loop.
- 37:02What they do is they like to they're going to probably one
- 37:05day, get a clip of you and loop it make it appear as though to
- 37:08you so they can do that. Yeah.
- 37:10He would have given us something right out the bat.
- 37:14Yeah, I think this would have been.
- 37:16There we go. Yeah the time I Bandit the name
- 37:22even said lawn help Mentor it. Okay, well that's a good
- 37:26giveaway. If Olivia still watching you're
- 37:30welcome to join to since we had such a lovely discussion last
- 37:34time. And anyone else who's watching?
- 37:38If you're, for real, you're welcome to join us and talk
- 37:41about whatever you just got to go to the link, that's in the
- 37:44description box and in the chat. Do do, do, do while we're
- 37:51waiting for people to join Brett.
- 37:54What do you think about? Where's Olivia?
- 37:57Hello? Hi, Olivia.
- 38:00So, I was just going to ask you Brett since we're here.
- 38:04What do you think about this, whole Elon Musk taking over
- 38:07Twitter thing. Seems like, that's all anyone
- 38:09wants to talk about it in the internet this week.
- 38:12I just so obvious, obviously, he's not going to run and
- 38:16Twitter all by himself, which apparently some people think I
- 38:19hope that whoever he hires to run the thing while he's doing
- 38:23everything else, he does believes in freedom of speech as
- 38:27much as he does as long as that's the case.
- 38:30Then we're good to go. I think it'll definitely be a
- 38:33big Improvement because a lot of the people who work for Twitter,
- 38:37they're clearly weak fragile type of liberals, snowflakes is
- 38:42what I call them. You can't handle ideas that are
- 38:45different than their own. So I'm looking forward to seeing
- 38:48the future of mankind as far as social media goes.
- 38:52Yeah. They are definitely some special
- 38:54kind of snowflakes those people working at Twitter because
- 38:57literary all Elon Musk said was, I'm To level the playing field
- 39:01so that everyone is on equal footing and can say their piece
- 39:05and that response is oh what tyranny?
- 39:11No we can't have an even playing field.
- 39:13That's not fair. I got shut down several times
- 39:17and Twitter have over 15 accounts or shutdown simply for
- 39:21correcting people's assertions and claims about Donald Trump.
- 39:25As you know, I was in love with this guy and how he was doing
- 39:29things. And people would lie all damn
- 39:32day on there and I would put something up, I get lots and
- 39:36lots of views but and it was just simply, no, right here is a
- 39:40resource. This is what he actually said.
- 39:42This is what I remember when they used to make things up
- 39:46about what he supposedly like, oh he's going to take Social
- 39:50Security's going to take this ability away from people and I
- 39:53put up a club where it says, no, I will not do this.
- 39:56No matter what, blah blah blah. And this got me shot.
- 40:00Shut down losing accounts, right?
- 40:02Or like, when he called Jim Kim, Jung Hoon Rocket Man over and
- 40:06over on Twitter and everyone's like, oh no, he's going to start
- 40:10World War Three and North Korea is going to start nipping us.
- 40:13And next thing you know he's got Kim Jang hoon and the leaders of
- 40:17South Korea sitting down for peace talks.
- 40:21Exactly. Well it's not so funny when it
- 40:23happened. I also couldn't stop laughing
- 40:25like oh yeah there's the real dictator right there.
- 40:29Starting peace talks. A horrible man.
- 40:32That's right. So what you been up to Olivia?
- 40:35Oh working I worked today in the afternoon, got off the about six
- 40:41and then I'll go back tomorrow at 5:00 in the morning.
- 40:47Wow. Early rise, huh?
- 40:49Yes. Yeah.
- 40:51I kind of well, I guess I'm not gay.
- 40:55I'm picking up for a co-worker and helping out and so I only
- 40:58have to be there until like 9:30 and then I have a weekend, short
- 41:04day, select day, All of Me. Am all in the am?
- 41:09Yes. Then you can get a nap in and
- 41:11then you can have your weekend party.
- 41:14No, I'll just sit at home, I don't party.
- 41:18Well you know different people to find party differently.
- 41:21So and heads true. So, what's been on your mind
- 41:27lately? Olivia?
- 41:29Oh, I don't know. I was just thinking about when
- 41:31we you know, we could talk about what what you would put on there
- 41:37and I had thought several different things like but they
- 41:42all relate probably to the larger question of If Jesus said
- 41:48he was God, then why was he referencing God outside of
- 41:52himself? Like there is no way to the
- 41:54father then threw me when if he was referring to himself as God.
- 42:00He was like there's no way to me except through me, you're
- 42:03talking to me. I'm God, he wouldn't have said
- 42:06it like when you know what I mean.
- 42:07That's not referencing himself as God.
- 42:11Obviously that's referencing a different entity as God and you
- 42:15don't call yourself your own father.
- 42:17You know what I mean? So there's that.
- 42:21Yes in one sense you want to say that he's claiming to be God but
- 42:27then there's obviously he's referencing an entity that isn't
- 42:31him when referencing God or like when he's on the cross, why have
- 42:36you forsaken, God? Why have you forsaken me?
- 42:38He's not saying why. If I forsaken myself, he
- 42:41wouldn't be worried at all. He wouldn't be forsaken.
- 42:44He wouldn't have uttered the phrase.
- 42:47Well, that's where the doctrine of the Trinity comes in because
- 42:51when you study the scriptures Jesus actually said quite a few
- 42:54interesting things. One is he talked about God the
- 42:58father and the Holy Spirit as being different persons from
- 43:03himself. But then in other instances he
- 43:06said that they all have the same name.
- 43:08He said that the Father the Son and the Holy Spirit, the holy
- 43:11spirit being a mother, right? So holy spirit is Mother then
- 43:17Can't have a father and a son without a mother.
- 43:20Like that's how about you? I mean the church I mean people
- 43:25might patriarchy is what it is and why aren't we calling mother
- 43:28mother. That's I guess maybe a different
- 43:30conversation because you can't like if you're going to set up
- 43:34the dynamic of a Triad with Father and Son, then we already
- 43:39obviously know what the other entity is its mother.
- 43:44So you finished there's the mothers make sense.
- 43:47Yeah. TT, you are and Olivia tto are.
- 43:50I don't know if you remember and will definitely hit which
- 43:53talking Olivia. But remember, for a while there,
- 43:56I was having an issue with this and you showed me a whole bunch
- 43:58of stuff I went and did a bunch of research and not only one to
- 44:02find out if Jesus was God. But I also wanted to find out.
- 44:05Was he actually spoken about in the Old Testament?
- 44:09You didn't share this one. TT, you are.
- 44:11But if a person who's been studying the Bible, as long as
- 44:15you have looks at this, Here. Let me put it up on the screen
- 44:19for you. There.
- 44:20Read this and tell me what you think.
- 44:22This is from the Old Testament alone.
- 44:24You looked at this, this is before Jesus even existed.
- 44:28What does that say? Therefore, the Lord himself will
- 44:31give you a sign. Behold, the Virgin shall
- 44:33conceive and bear a son and shall call his name Emmanuel,
- 44:39Okay, so does either one of, you know what a manual means, back
- 44:43in the language that was written on this.
- 44:47Hey, baby. I think it basically means God
- 44:49Among Us. There you go.
- 44:54Yeah, my memory is a little rusty but apparently, I got
- 44:56lucky. Oh yeah.
- 44:59But anyway, I want to finish my thought because when you also
- 45:03study the Scriptures, it talks about, Jesus, God, the father
- 45:08and the Holy Spirit, each of them.
- 45:11Having the Divine attributes of God, they all have the same
- 45:16attributes of omniscience and omnipresence and all of that
- 45:21stuff. And so, when you look at all of
- 45:25that, when you look at those passages, where it says that all
- 45:28three have the same Divine attributes.
- 45:30You look at Jesus saying that all three have the same name,
- 45:33it's pretty obvious from those that obviously, God has one
- 45:36divine nature, but Jesus also talked about himself.
- 45:41God the father and the Holy Spirit as being distinct persons
- 45:43from each other. Because when he was on the
- 45:45earth, in the first century said, the father was in heaven
- 45:49and we was talking to his disciples, he said I'm going to
- 45:51send you. The Holy Spirit later on after
- 45:55I've left this Earth. So the mother mother.
- 45:59I don't want to let go of this. Why are we calling the mother
- 46:03Holy Spirit? What?
- 46:05Why is that important? Because one second, we got some
- 46:08people like they just set the real vehicle.
- 46:12Yep. It's me.
- 46:13I do it. All right.
- 46:14All right. Is that the real Von help?
- 46:16And if so, give me the double cross that we, he knows the code
- 46:22now. That's not.
- 46:22Absolutely, yeah, that's a ban that person's account will
- 46:26forever be locked out. Alright, hey Becca, how you
- 46:29doing? Continue on guys.
- 46:30Hi, I just wanted to finish up by pointing out that the whole
- 46:34mother thing is irrelevant to the point of the scriptures.
- 46:37I'm not irrelevant to what I'm bringing up.
- 46:40It is because what I'm pointing Is that the scriptures teach a
- 46:43god? That is three distinct persons,
- 46:46but one divine nature which is the whole concept that is behind
- 46:50the doctrine of the Trinity comes straight from the Bible.
- 46:54And that's how you understand all the different things.
- 46:57That Jesus said, that's how all the different things.
- 47:01That doesn't mean well, saying three people can equal.
- 47:06One person is confusing. Yes, and also is confusing to
- 47:12Say that you can get a father and a son without a mother.
- 47:17Is confusing. Yeah, but God also says in the
- 47:21Old Testament that he's not like anything in creation.
- 47:24So the fact that there's nothing in creation, father and the son
- 47:29and mysterious other thing because there's nothing in
- 47:33creation that is three, distinct persons with one nature.
- 47:37Well, obviously, that would support the idea that God's
- 47:40nature is different than anything.
- 47:42Well, maybe it's a committee. So God is a committee like
- 47:46there. Being in there, you know, God,
- 47:48mind. And then that's the action.
- 47:50They take as a solidified unit, a committee, God is a committee.
- 47:55A family got as a family unit and got it sounds like to me
- 47:59like a United Family front. So mother father, son.
- 48:05If you want to say that the Holy Spirit fulfills, some kind of
- 48:08mother role, I guess I can. Well, I mean, why wouldn't it if
- 48:12your butt is God himself? The Holy Spirit setting up the
- 48:17dynamic as father and son, right?
- 48:21That's God's language. There's no father.
- 48:24There's nothing in Scripture that describes the that
- 48:26attributes, the Holy Spirit to having female attributes or as a
- 48:31few person dies, if you're going to describe.
- 48:33No, father and son, that's, that's a family unit, right?
- 48:39Some father male mother is the female part.
- 48:42They have a child. That's Jesus.
- 48:45That's false. You can say that if you want but
- 48:47it doesn't line up with what's laid out at scripture that it
- 48:50clearly, we know that the word is out logic, you know, got us a
- 48:55logical thing. Don't know that the word spirit
- 48:58in the Greek is I want to say Numa which is which is actually
- 49:02a feminine, but it doesn't attribute.
- 49:04The Holy Spirit as a female, not that it matters anyway, because
- 49:09the, you know, we're not well, then why use got mail for God.
- 49:12God is a male and otters but you keep asserting that.
- 49:15The holy spirit is a female. When you do yours, it's a female
- 49:18unit, you're not, but you're not going to say the best way to
- 49:40build a A bunch of theist you got to do something called.
- 49:48Open the book, blow the cobwebs and Bible.
- 49:51The Bible makes sense. Right now to sounds like you're
- 49:57throwing something out there. Yes, you are.
- 50:02And then there's a third thing will be remember making claims
- 50:07he of passages and verses to back up.
- 50:11That's that's just how it works. Is that father mother?
- 50:31And if you could actually open up the Bible and provide
- 50:34scripture that clearly indicates that in some way that the holy
- 50:38spirit's of mother we would accept your argument.
- 50:41But that probably we're having. Is that no such verse exists,
- 50:44right? Why we can't go?
- 50:46This is your Knology is built by God.
- 50:52God made the analogy. I know you're making it up.
- 50:55PTO made up the analogy of a family.
- 50:59Father isn't God's identity? Hold On Olivia in the my son is
- 51:03Jesus is identity, right? Brett brought up Isaiah chapter
- 51:077, which actually is a direct link to Matthew chapter 1, which
- 51:10regarding the birth of Jesus Christ.
- 51:13It's funny that you bring that up Brett because Cuz in that
- 51:16chapter, we clearly see that the Holy Spirit would overshadow,
- 51:21Mary, and that's how she would conceive Jesus, right?
- 51:25So it's the Holy Spirit, that's a super naturally intervening
- 51:30and making her conceive the Christ in her womb.
- 51:35So we think this is some sort of a lesbian relationship, you
- 51:39know, between a female Spirit number.
- 51:41You're gonna say this. In gay men.
- 51:47I mean it's different if it's father, son and some other dude.
- 51:51And secondly, hold on. What is hold on?
- 51:54Let me finish this up real quick.
- 51:56The other thing is too that in the Greek, the word overshadow
- 52:00is I think it's it piece, chiasso, which simply means and
- 52:04Supernatural or Pretty Natural interaction.
- 52:07So, there was no physical aspect of physical touching of the
- 52:13woman as a lot of Mormons would Like to teach is an awesome.
- 52:16It has no physical. So he didn't have, he just spoke
- 52:21it, he just spoke it just like he did with the universe.
- 52:24He spoke it, and it happened bam.
- 52:28So we can see CA Productions in the comment section saying,
- 52:31using the Bible to prove the Bible is ridiculous.
- 52:35Now, what we've been trying to do at least, that's what I've
- 52:37been thinking. We're trying to do in this
- 52:39stream so far, is we're trying to use the Bible to prove that
- 52:43the Bible teaches something. There's Nothing ridiculous about
- 52:46that at all. Amen.
- 52:48I don't throw that out there. Yeah, I love how ICC over here.
- 52:54You've heard non-believers make this claim Christians.
- 52:56Can't even agree or ringing. Yeah.
- 52:59Well, it's good that Christians actually have different views
- 53:02that would definitely take away from the claim that atheist make
- 53:05that we're sheep. And we're all like the bullying
- 53:08me. We don't have a hive mind.
- 53:10What? Yes.
- 53:12Well, how about this golden Thinking about exactly
- 53:18originated from God. Here you can solve this problem
- 53:23in less than two minutes. They just simply given the
- 53:25information that you got this from and then Wallah, I got it
- 53:29from God's Own analogy and I can use my brain that God made.
- 53:34She's using beauty queen father and son.
- 53:38And then there's a third thing you're going to say it's in
- 53:40three guys got us. Three guys, are you going to
- 53:44provide the information? Women are half the population
- 53:53and you're saying that God represents.
- 53:54Just know, there's no women. God, I love you.
- 53:58Why is this so difficult to just give us a reference or sort of
- 54:02reference? I wouldn't believe in such a
- 54:04guy. I know you just fucking make the
- 54:07claims that you don't want to back it up.
- 54:08I know that God wants me to believe in them.
- 54:11Olivia you're making claims that you can't see.
- 54:24Argue with you. You have, I don't believe about
- 54:52nothing but well, you better go look up some logic then that's,
- 54:55that's basic logic lady. No disrespect, no, of course
- 55:00we're not going to say we believe in magic.
- 55:02No. But we're leaving illogic, like
- 55:05what you said. The magic God spoke magic in the
- 55:08womb said you made a claim you and you're not able to
- 55:11substantiate it. So that's the problem here.
- 55:14I'm able to substantiate my claims, but you are not able to
- 55:18substantiate your cooking substantiate like
- 55:21substantiating, you know, none of us can substantiate that.
- 55:25As you can see, none of us can substantiate any of these
- 55:32claims. Is that a chance to offer his
- 55:38opinion or thoughts on? Okay, it erupted.
- 55:40Yeah, I just wanted to defend Olivia.
- 55:42Basically, it was the Greek word.
- 55:45For spirit is effeminate and the Greek word spirit is in the
- 55:49Bible. So that is evident from the
- 55:51Bible that the spirit is a woman, I would say, well, the
- 55:55vertical this answers, the mysteries of the universe.
- 55:58Every time, Spirits mention the Bible, it must be a female or a
- 56:01lesbian, holy spiritual lesbian. Relations wildheart, do me a
- 56:16favor. Say it, I want you to say I am
- 56:19Duncan MacLeod of the clan MacLeod.
- 56:21There can only be one. I am Duncan MacLeod of the club
- 56:25climb. Yeah, okay.
- 56:28Now do me another favor, a wild heart, put your hand in front of
- 56:31your face and then slap yourself.
- 56:34Silly. Okay.
- 56:36All right. He wants to be able to talk
- 56:41again. I'll say it again.
- 56:43Anybody who makes a claim. A positive claim, no matter who
- 56:46it's coming from. You have biologic, you
- 56:48automatically have the onus on yourself to substantiate it
- 56:51even, it doesn't matter whether or not people agree with you.
- 56:55The fact that a man is, you can engage in the philosophic until
- 56:58intelligent discussion and make such claims that they put the
- 57:02onus on the person that you're having this argument with, when
- 57:05you're the one, making a positive claim.
- 57:06If I tell you that, I know that God exists.
- 57:09Now, I have an obligation to prove that to you or at least to
- 57:13make some sort of It's an argument whether you disagree
- 57:16with it or not. The fact that Matt is I have
- 57:18that obligation upon myself. Same thing with an atheist.
- 57:21If an atheist is saying that no God exists, you don't pull this
- 57:241993 atheists apologetic nonsense.
- 57:28That's been debunked so many times and say, I'm your the
- 57:31theist there for you by default have to prove to me that you're
- 57:37God exists. No, it doesn't work that way.
- 57:39If you're making it positive claim, you have the onus on you
- 57:43to validate it. Idiot.
- 57:45Yep, which is why. When I started out the show by
- 57:48saying Jesus was God, I spent the next 10, 15 minutes.
- 57:52Whatever it was pulling out the scriptures and showing Jesus
- 57:56doing and saying and claiming to be God, Amen to that.
- 58:12Join this conversation. It would be nice.
- 58:19Rob's got a good voice and he does a lot of biblical videos.
- 58:23So three many definitely add to the the awesome equation.
- 58:28We'll figure out if a lesbian Jesus as a thing, according to
- 58:31Olivia lesbian Jesus didn't get married or have any kids as a
- 58:37man? He was a lesbian, you didn't
- 58:39hang around with a lawful ourselves but okay, let's get
- 58:45back to those other thing. Why does God need to have a
- 58:47blood. Suffice to himself to forgive
- 58:51us. That makes no sense.
- 58:53We gotta like that. That sounds like witchcraft a
- 58:56little bit. Whoa, whoa, whoa.
- 58:59How is that? How is the spilling of blood
- 59:01equal to Witchcraft and black magic, you use human blood God,
- 59:06blood, whatever. And it performs a miracle, a
- 59:09magic. And you have a ceremony or
- 59:12whatever. And you know when I went to
- 59:14church, they would like let's bathe in the blood of Jesus.
- 59:17You know you know we eat his body and blood right.
- 59:21You gots the communion, you're eating the body of Christ and
- 59:24the drinking is Is the wine, you know, that's transubstantiation
- 59:28friends, Kathy and that's witchcraft, isn't it?
- 59:31And that the ride cymbal isn't as well, that's what Catholicism
- 59:36teaches, but Jesus himself actually used, that's what
- 59:39baptism he never meant it to be literal, great, right?
- 59:44No. So his blood literally didn't
- 59:46matter, his death, didn't matter what, is it?
- 59:48I mean, what is the claim? I'm sorry as far as blood
- 59:52sacrifice. Why did God need a blood
- 59:54sacrifice? Ice was it important or was it
- 59:56not one question at a time? I mean you asking a bunch of was
- 1:00:03blood sacrifice important? Well, yes, and that's why Jesus
- 1:00:08came. He was the ultimate blood
- 1:00:10sacrifice, the last one that was ever needed.
- 1:00:13And that's what the whole point of the last supper, was the
- 1:00:16wine. They were drinking.
- 1:00:18Jesus told them represented his blood, the bread that they were
- 1:00:21sharing, he told them represented his body.
- 1:00:24And that was one of the two rituals that Jesus established
- 1:00:27for his followers to do until the day he comes back to
- 1:00:30establish his kingdom. Jesus was special about blinds
- 1:00:35what's special about. Blood sacrifices, their magic.
- 1:00:38In it make what is the claim as far as that goes?
- 1:00:41It's the currency that pays for your sins blood, how is it
- 1:00:45currency? How what in what sense in the
- 1:00:47spiritual like, what is it witchcraft?
- 1:00:49Like, how does that work? What is Magic about blood?
- 1:00:53Who said anything about magic? What is she does that?
- 1:00:55What If God said that in order for
- 1:01:09your sins to be given, you just had to have a money sacrifice
- 1:01:14and pay him like ten thousand dollars once a year.
- 1:01:17Would that be easier for you to accept?
- 1:01:20Yeah, I just wanted to make sense.
- 1:01:30Like why is blood important? What's so special about blood?
- 1:01:34Because blood is life. Don't have life without it.
- 1:01:37No, you love your pets. Not fusions magic.
- 1:01:44Do you know? But I want to know what's
- 1:01:46special about blood. Why does not find his wife
- 1:01:49course? That's how they seen it and
- 1:01:51apparently dr. Seem to think the same way
- 1:01:53because they use it to keep people alive.
- 1:01:56Yeah, well there's a lot to do with kids or are or food or
- 1:02:01water. So what they will do with the
- 1:02:04bloat, once you have it, What is blood baby?
- 1:02:10Don't hurt me. Don't you mean?
- 1:02:11It's his Supernatural. Like they show on TV where the
- 1:02:14blood gives something powers. Like, Ezra spell.
- 1:02:16Is it is like what was it? Sounds like a spell.
- 1:02:20Yeah, but it's just used as a currency because to my
- 1:02:24understanding of the Bible, the blood itself wasn't used for
- 1:02:27anything after it was sacrificed to the Lord.
- 1:02:30It's just there. So, I was it a coincidence.
- 1:02:33If you can't spend it all, I change.
- 1:02:36I'll stop for us to spend for God.
- 1:02:38Yeah, we'll go can spend either. Collins long, ever need to spend
- 1:02:42it. Well, it's not every citizen has
- 1:02:45been on the phone or make payment for our sins.
- 1:02:49But that was the whole point of Jesus doing his sacrifices so
- 1:02:52that we don't have to do animal blood sacrifices again.
- 1:02:56This is the coulomb so you can almost spend it as well if you
- 1:02:59don't like Well - just forgiving us cut, right?
- 1:03:02Because he's God Sin has to be punished though.
- 1:03:07You can't leave it unpunished. Well, who says that, why does it
- 1:03:11have to be part of God were to just sweep it under the rug and
- 1:03:14say, you're forgiven, then the sin is not dealt with.
- 1:03:17And that would be God unjust, because he ignored crime.
- 1:03:20He ignored sin. And God says, he don't think I
- 1:03:25can forgive someone with us to go Colin, and I can do something
- 1:03:29that go counts and sure that should be impossible.
- 1:03:38Well, that's true. If God is all powerful than God,
- 1:03:41should be able to forgive without a blood sacrifice,
- 1:03:44seeing as how humans can forgive without blood sacrifice.
- 1:03:47Well, that's exactly what's going on now.
- 1:03:49Now, you just have to believe in Jesus and have a personal
- 1:03:53relationship with him and you're golden, no blood sacrifice
- 1:03:56required. So, now that that demand of
- 1:03:58years has been met, go ahead and convert.
- 1:04:01Well, I'd could don't forget, require my, I don't require
- 1:04:05forgive, I don't require people to worship me or be tormented
- 1:04:12It's a you have free. Will.
- 1:04:13You can choose to accept the offer, forgiveness, God gives
- 1:04:17you and the Salvation he offers, or you can reject it and live
- 1:04:20your own life. You're not much of a gift, is
- 1:04:23it? How's there's conditions?
- 1:04:26It's not a gift, it's a condition.
- 1:04:28It's a contract? Yeah, we're sure.
- 1:04:31I don't know. If you've ever looked up for
- 1:04:32some reason, non-believers when they think of worship, they
- 1:04:35think that people on their knees, going all out on, he
- 1:04:38rolled over. No, it means Revere to respect
- 1:04:42honor. Why wouldn't you don't?
- 1:04:44You honor your mother and father.
- 1:04:46Don't you honor? Those and assisted in your
- 1:04:49existence. I mean I guess my mother and
- 1:04:53father never committed genocide. Also there's a difference.
- 1:04:56No I don't like been on this committee so wild heart is
- 1:05:00someone word when you were living with your parents or
- 1:05:02someone broke into your home and your parents wanted to make it
- 1:05:06to where the threat doesn't get to you and they stop them.
- 1:05:09Would you consider them unloving all of a sudden or their evil
- 1:05:13for protecting you from all of this self-defense?
- 1:05:17Okay, as the genocide stuff all over again, it's always the gym
- 1:05:23clothes me. Genocide is bad and slavery is
- 1:05:27bad, and things are bad better in the Bible.
- 1:05:30Let's roll with the genocide example.
- 1:05:33I want to lay out a scenario, so you got a group of people who,
- 1:05:37for hundreds of years, have been having sex with animals
- 1:05:40sacrificing their children, on the altar of a god called
- 1:05:43moloch, and practicing all kinds of sexual incestual
- 1:05:47relationships. And they've been doing this
- 1:05:49unrepentantly for hundreds of years and anyone who's ever
- 1:05:52tried, calling them to repent or change.
- 1:05:55They just blatantly ignored, if they didn't outright kill at
- 1:05:59some point, if there's a God out there who claims to be just and
- 1:06:02claims to not allow this kind of stuff to go on, wouldn't you
- 1:06:06want him to actually put a stop to it at some point?
- 1:06:09No. That that kills me, that, that
- 1:06:13fireball of the, The Killing all the children going, kill them,
- 1:06:17including the children and the Animals.
- 1:06:19How does that make any sense? That's War rhetoric.
- 1:06:23If you actually study the Bible, you'll See that not all the
- 1:06:25Canaanites were wiped out in all those instances and the gallery
- 1:06:29still around at the time of Jesus.
- 1:06:31Even. Yeah but God wasn't because he
- 1:06:33didn't kill them. All, you get direct orders to
- 1:06:36kill them all, including the animals, while there are many,
- 1:06:42and many of these instances, I know that atheists when they
- 1:06:45read the Bible, they don't even notice the time difference of
- 1:06:48the age of the person's being talked about, but literally
- 1:06:52hundreds of years. Go by where Men of God, as well
- 1:06:56as women are warning people and telling people, look, God does
- 1:07:00not want this or God himself is directly through.
- 1:07:03Some manifestation saying, you need to stop what you're doing
- 1:07:07or there's going to be consequences.
- 1:07:09Now, what are you expecting to do?
- 1:07:11If he just sits there and keeps letting them do it?
- 1:07:13Then the atheist is going to go, oh look where's your God at when
- 1:07:17the evils going on but of course if God does something, he's
- 1:07:21damned, if you do damned if you don't, which is it that you
- 1:07:24want? Do you want?
- 1:07:25At the Justice. Well already won him to let
- 1:07:27everything fly just as yeah. I was killing like a child or an
- 1:07:32animal Justice for something that adults have done wanted the
- 1:07:36child to a send, the child every child was evil at one year, one
- 1:07:40year old and two-year-old, who are evil and their dessert today
- 1:07:43as well. It's a good thing.
- 1:07:45The Bible teaches the concept of the age of accountability, which
- 1:07:49starts around 12, or 13 years old.
- 1:07:55That's Up For Debate actually. Well, it's not over the edge of.
- 1:07:59Well, the age of accountability certainly doesn't.
- 1:08:01Start it 125 years old. That's for sure.
- 1:08:04Yes, not what did I do? That's debatable in
- 1:08:07Christianity. That's why some Christians
- 1:08:10groups do infant baptism because of original sin.
- 1:08:15What? Yeah, all humans are born evil
- 1:08:18and will go to hell unless they're saved, including
- 1:08:21infants? Yeah, well, I don't, well, I
- 1:08:27don't believe that babies will go to hell.
- 1:08:30Well, I mean, it's accountability.
- 1:08:32There's an age where God doesn't hold you accountable for your
- 1:08:36sin, but happen when you reach this certain age, whether it be
- 1:08:3911, 12, 13, or whatever older age, you want to say there's an
- 1:08:44age where God actually starts holding you.
- 1:08:46Countable for your sins. But when you're a small child
- 1:08:49under 10, God doesn't hold you accountable for the sins.
- 1:08:52You commit, one remembers on this.
- 1:09:08You guys should point this out. Remember what happened to King
- 1:09:11David's baby. What did God say through King?
- 1:09:16And in this people, what happened with the baby, I'll be
- 1:09:19right back. Yeah, what that wasn't the
- 1:09:21baby's fault, though, that the baby being killed was the result
- 1:09:25of David's sin. So if the baby wasn't being held
- 1:09:29accountable for anything that it did Soma, but my question is
- 1:09:34because it doesn't specifically point out the age of
- 1:09:38accountability. However, I don't necessarily
- 1:09:40disagree with tto are saying, but the point is my point is
- 1:09:46that The Bible is not specific on that particular age, but
- 1:09:50could it be around, you know, somewhere between starting at
- 1:09:53between 10 and 12, possibly. But the Bible just not clear on
- 1:09:57it. I think we can all agree.
- 1:09:59It's not like one to two years old.
- 1:10:01It cannot be that, of course not.
- 1:10:03So I think. Yeah, I know, I'm not
- 1:10:09disagreeing. I'm just saying that.
- 1:10:10The Bible is not clear on what the age is, though.
- 1:10:13That's the thing. It was saying, did the same
- 1:10:16thing with the mentally ill person.
- 1:10:18I mean, is God going to send someone who is mentally,
- 1:10:21incapable of understanding the gospel to hell because they're
- 1:10:24not able to unintellectual you, understand that?
- 1:10:26Yes, that is well, I don't, I don't, I don't believe that if
- 1:10:31you have a script already created to begin with.
- 1:10:33If you have a, if you have scripture that proves that God
- 1:10:36is going to send people to hell, or intellectually unable to
- 1:10:40understand who Christ is, I would like to see a man's so
- 1:10:44you're saying you're not human ma'am.
- 1:10:46I want to see the verse you are talking to a Critic humans.
- 1:10:49Think we are talking about a man.
- 1:10:52So you're saying, not all humans have you were talking to a
- 1:10:55student of the Bible. So if you want to help us about
- 1:10:58something biblical, I'm going to challenge you on it and ask a
- 1:11:01me, except here in action. I want contextual weird.
- 1:11:09There's a scripture that talks about the concept of the age of
- 1:11:11accountability, Isaiah 7, 15 through 16.
- 1:11:16He will be eating curds and honey.
- 1:11:18When he knows enough to reject the wrong and choose the right
- 1:11:21you were before the boy knows enough to reject the wrong and
- 1:11:25choose the right, the land of the two kings, you dread will be
- 1:11:28laid waste. So obviously, there's a point
- 1:11:31where he becomes accountable for his, this would be injection of,
- 1:11:35right? And choosing evil or rejecting
- 1:11:37wrong. No disagreement that.
- 1:11:39But that doesn't tell you how old this person right there is
- 1:11:44some discussion and Not five read about it, usually points
- 1:11:48out like the age of like 12 to 13 years old.
- 1:11:52See, I don't, I think it could be younger.
- 1:11:55It could be sure but I know they'll be younger than like ten
- 1:12:00though. Yeah, well, yeah, I agree with
- 1:12:03that. But again, the Bible disappoint
- 1:12:05this house, specifically, it doesn't, that's why we have to
- 1:12:08teach our children from Dave from day, one to the to know the
- 1:12:12ways of the Lord, you know, just in case there is some sort of of
- 1:12:16culpability on the kids part. You know, I don't believe that
- 1:12:20the I don't believe a child who dies in the womb, or who was
- 1:12:23aborted is going to go to hell, like some calvinist deals.
- 1:12:26I didn't lie disagree with that nonsense.
- 1:12:29Why would that be though? Why is why would that be wrong?
- 1:12:33Because I think we are all saved in the same way that the people
- 1:12:38in the Old Testament, were saved by God's grace.
- 1:12:41And even though I would say there are some aspects to gods
- 1:12:46Nathan. They had law back then Grace is
- 1:12:49reason. Yeah, right so the grace is
- 1:12:51Jesus. So before Jesus that was my
- 1:12:54brother. Okay.
- 1:12:55Yes, that's fine. But Jesus Is God incarnate.
- 1:12:57So we went sailing race. We're talking about God in
- 1:13:00general, and engine are. So you're carving, I'm saying,
- 1:13:02York, I'm just pointing out your carving out exceptions to where
- 1:13:06it's unjust for God to punish where I'm saying, oh, well,
- 1:13:11you're saying you've designed just for God to punish a
- 1:13:13mentally retarded person. Well, I'm not Would be unjust
- 1:13:17forgot to do that. I'm just simply saying what God
- 1:13:21has demonstrated according to his scripture, according to the
- 1:13:24scripture, okay? That's why we say when we say
- 1:13:27regarding the age of accountability, I can't disagree
- 1:13:32with what was stated by TT. Are however all I'm challenging
- 1:13:35is the specific age number it. The Bible doesn't point that
- 1:13:38out, but I mean, that could be the case, I don't know.
- 1:13:40In there may be no age that it comes to us.
- 1:13:43What you also said in that, if they don't Develop a cognitive
- 1:13:48talk enough cognitively to understand punishment and right
- 1:13:53and wrong. That they are ever going to be
- 1:13:55held accountable. Well, if a person is saved only
- 1:13:58by the intelligent, understanding of the gospel, and
- 1:14:02who Jesus Christ is then, you know, then all children are
- 1:14:07going to hell then. Okay, but we need to ultimately
- 1:14:13saved by the grace of God, by God's grace.
- 1:14:16Race in the same way that universalism no, no, no, it's
- 1:14:21not Universal isn't Universal and teaches that everyone is
- 1:14:23going to heaven. Despite the fact that they, you
- 1:14:27know, their relationship with God, whether they rejected Jesus
- 1:14:30Christ or not, they're going to have an ultimately and that the
- 1:14:33Bible is rejecting sin. Let's leave out the people who
- 1:14:36say I reject good, but we know is a problem though.
- 1:14:40We're talking about this category mistake, we're talking
- 1:14:44about on one side people. Outright reject, they hear the
- 1:14:48gospel and they rejected. The other side I'm saying is
- 1:14:51that people who are either ignorant of it, but see, even in
- 1:14:54that category, God still has the authority and the power and
- 1:14:58ability to provide Grace on to those individuals and bring
- 1:15:03Apostles and preachers and evangelists, or even himself to
- 1:15:07these people. So that they do, believe till I
- 1:15:10just met funds employee. Yeah.
- 1:15:13Lived in North America during the time of Jesus.
- 1:15:16Couldn't have heard it. How do you feel
- 1:15:45about the existence of God? We're just talking about the
- 1:15:47state of the mind, which would be will get your.
- 1:15:51It's just basically saying you're a fool.
- 1:15:53If you say that there is no God. Yeah, it's simple, letting you
- 1:15:56got mental illness of some kind of what about mental illness.
- 1:16:02What if you fool then it could be said that.
- 1:16:06You are mentally. I don't want to say retarded,
- 1:16:09but without it, I'm not saying that, but there are some scars
- 1:16:16They might, they might in a really cooling fashion resort to
- 1:16:19that - raise it, but I don't know.
- 1:16:25I would just, you know, ask like okay if there's a certain
- 1:16:27threshold, how do we know where that threshold of understanding
- 1:16:30is and does any human ever meet that threshold of nearly
- 1:16:34understanding the complexity of these questions because they
- 1:16:38don't make a lot of sense. There you don't lose the meaning
- 1:16:41I have as a human being is if you're a professing believer, of
- 1:16:45Christ is to minister unto these people.
- 1:16:48And if they reject the message that you're preaching to them,
- 1:16:51you dust the sand off your feet and move on.
- 1:16:53Now, it is that mean though to does the saying off your feet
- 1:16:56and move on? No dude, what is it?
- 1:16:58What is it mean to do to be what to have a belief in Christ?
- 1:17:03What does that even mean? I think TTR said it many times
- 1:17:09already today, Is it just to say, I believe in Jesus.
- 1:17:13Now what does he even know what Jesus said to do by demons
- 1:17:18believe in Jesus? No, Jesus took it much further.
- 1:17:21He said you had to have no relationship with him.
- 1:17:24What is that mean? Does that mean do what Jesus did
- 1:17:28or does that mean? Just say it, you have to repent
- 1:17:31of your sins, turn your back on them.
- 1:17:34Turn your completely around, bend your knee to Jesus and
- 1:17:39basically submit to him. What?
- 1:17:41These are just platitudes. Do what actionable things
- 1:17:44should? What Behavior you have?
- 1:17:49Never spoken to him spoken to Jesus.
- 1:17:56Would you be a traveling missionary supposed to speak to
- 1:18:00Jesus? I know that you're actually
- 1:18:02giving to the poor were like, how can we determine, who will
- 1:18:05question it? That's not your business, your
- 1:18:07business. The only reason that the only
- 1:18:09business that you have on determining, Who's a Christian
- 1:18:11or not. Is if number one there in your
- 1:18:13congregation professing to be one or and or number two, if
- 1:18:18you're involved in some sort of ministry with them.
- 1:18:20Okay, no, no, we should go like that, you need to know that.
- 1:18:28Like for example, if I want to, if I want to worship with
- 1:18:31somebody, professors be a Christian, okay?
- 1:18:34But there they tell me that they're believing in something
- 1:18:37unbiblical. Well, either, I have to accept
- 1:18:41one or two things. Either the accepting this out of
- 1:18:43complete ignorance or there wolf in sheep's clothing, either way
- 1:18:47because they don't believe like, I do with the scriptures, I'm
- 1:18:52either just going to separate myself from them or if they are
- 1:18:55in extreme heresy, I'll have to mark and avoid them and call
- 1:18:59them out and make them out to be Heretics.
- 1:19:01Before the church, isn't it? Like not.
- 1:19:03So like a rich person. Like let's say the person is is
- 1:19:06in ignorance, right? He's he has a See you basic
- 1:19:10belief in Jesus Christ but he has a sincere ignorance of a
- 1:19:13particular area of doctrine, that doesn't mean that he or she
- 1:19:16is not saved. It just means that they're in
- 1:19:18error in a particular part of one of the tenets of
- 1:19:23Christianity. So that's not for me to judge
- 1:19:26them in that particular area. Now, they're flat out saying
- 1:19:29that Jesus never died I can I have every right to say that
- 1:19:32this person's a heretic and we need to avoid them but if it's
- 1:19:35an issue with like speaking in tongues or It reverses,
- 1:19:39post-trib annihilationism versus ECT, you know, that kind of
- 1:19:44thing I think that's about can can I be rich?
- 1:19:48Can I be really rich? You can be rich and be a
- 1:19:51Christian. No, you can't be rich.
- 1:19:56You can be rich. If you don't let it control you,
- 1:19:59that's not. What was it?
- 1:20:01I have the camo. So what does that verse is more
- 1:20:04likely for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than to get
- 1:20:07for the rich person to get in? Have Jesus wasn't saying there's
- 1:20:11a slight possibility so like it's impossible.
- 1:20:13You can't be rich and followed him out on that was to tell him
- 1:20:34get rid of all your possessions and then come follow me and the
- 1:20:38guy walked away Way because he wasn't willing to do that.
- 1:20:41He valued his riches more than he supposed to get to the for
- 1:20:45don't record wealth, Jesus made it very clear.
- 1:20:48Not to be wet, was claiming to be a Christian.
- 1:20:54Then I know they don't really take it, seriously, Olivia, that
- 1:20:56was a test. It Jesus didn't say.
- 1:20:58Don't be rich. He would have kept all the
- 1:21:05Commandments and Jesus because he's got a new the guys heart.
- 1:21:09The guy valued his riches more than God and so he tested him by
- 1:21:13telling him to give it all up. That's not a general commands.
- 1:21:17All the rich people that we invest for one specific person.
- 1:21:21He was talking to it. That much.
- 1:21:22No, that's right. He says it's harder for
- 1:21:26enrichment. Any Richmond?
- 1:21:28No into haven't said it is. It's well, how are you miss you,
- 1:21:40miss all that t, TR said again, the reason why
- 1:22:09Heidi. I'm sorry.
- 1:22:10Ma'am, with all due respect, you don't know.
- 1:22:11You talk about the even know what book and chapter.
- 1:22:13It's in. If you see if you say everyone,
- 1:22:17that means any rich man. But I know where it is.
- 1:22:21I just want to know if Wild Heart knows it.
- 1:22:23He doesn't want to show it on the screen.
- 1:22:43Rich people because they have and they feel that they don't
- 1:22:48need God. They don't need salvation
- 1:22:49because they're rich, that's why he's saying that it's harder for
- 1:22:52them. He doesn't say it's hard because
- 1:22:54they have money. He doesn't say exactly the money
- 1:23:00is there. God does apply to all.
- 1:23:08So it's Well, for rich people to get into heaven.
- 1:23:11No, it says it's that you can't fit a camel through, and I
- 1:23:14didn't even write and tell you, it is hard for someone who is
- 1:23:21Rich to enter the Kingdom of Heaven.
- 1:23:23Not impossible hard. There is T, no, I just swore is
- 1:23:27it impossible. He said, someone who is Rich.
- 1:23:31That means every rich person. Oh my gosh, then I heard
- 1:23:34impossible to in the translation.
- 1:23:36I heard too. It's hot.
- 1:23:39That's because you thinking of verse 26.
- 1:23:42Who do you have a camel to go through the eye of a needle?
- 1:23:45You can't part, is it? It's like that part when he uses
- 1:23:49the word impossible. That's not in the verse.
- 1:23:51That's not in the part where he's speaking about how
- 1:23:54difficult it is for a rich man. King Manuel how first example.
- 1:24:12Impossible. Why does he say this is
- 1:24:14impossible? The same.
- 1:24:16Yeah, I say the disciples had this idea and a lot of people in
- 1:24:19their time had this idea that if you were a rich person, it would
- 1:24:23be easier for you to get saved and someone like them because
- 1:24:27God can really use you. Right?
- 1:24:29Exactly. So, when they heard Jesus say
- 1:24:32this, they were astonished because it went against
- 1:24:34everything that they culturally believed about rich people,
- 1:24:37right? Because we all agree that, you
- 1:24:40know, people with a lot of money, they Can they can be very
- 1:24:44altruistic and, you know, make out many kind of profitable
- 1:24:49moral contributions to society. Like, that's being named like
- 1:24:52that thing. They keep hanging Elon Musk with
- 1:24:54this. We call the lefties who were
- 1:24:56saying, well, you could have taken that forty four billion
- 1:24:59dollars you used to buy Twitter. And you could have fed all kinds
- 1:25:02of poor and hungry, people, and solve World, poverty and blah
- 1:25:06blah blah. I hope the climate right.
- 1:25:08But yet he's the one who created the electric.
- 1:25:12Well, he could have fed the homeless if you were a
- 1:25:14Christian. I mean, that's true.
- 1:25:16He could have no income the finest schools.
- 1:25:19He could have done good things with his movie rather, than, by
- 1:25:22that website. Well, if you I'm not saying I'm
- 1:25:25not saying Elon Musk is a Christian, I don't believe he
- 1:25:29is. But let me ask you this though.
- 1:25:31How do you know that he hasn't made any type of contributions
- 1:25:34like that to help the poor? How do you know that?
- 1:25:37You just you just arbitrary mistake.
- 1:25:40You could change the world but he hasn't
- 1:26:08Hey Rob, how are you? I'm good.
- 1:26:12Couldn't stay out. I was trying very hard for here.
- 1:26:17Olivia, I just wanted to say hello.
- 1:26:20Yeah. What you need to understand
- 1:26:23here? Hi, I'm Rob.
- 1:26:25Is that, when Jesus speaking, these words to the rich, man, he
- 1:26:29hasn't paved the way yet. Ready hasn't died yet he hasn't
- 1:26:33resurrected yet so he's talking about one's ability to be able
- 1:26:39to be saved that it It is impossible for anyone to be
- 1:26:44saved and have right relationship with God without
- 1:26:48Jesus. That's, that's without him.
- 1:26:50That's going to be the ultimate end of the story.
- 1:26:52So it's the same reason, for instance, that he would have
- 1:26:56appealed to the people on The Sermon, on the Mount to say, you
- 1:26:59think that you are sinless perfect.
- 1:27:01Because you don't commit adultery, you have a wife and
- 1:27:05you do just fine there. But I tell you that, even if you
- 1:27:09think about it with someone else, you're The act the same
- 1:27:14with murder like you think, you know.
- 1:27:16So it's the same speech that he gave to other people as he gave
- 1:27:19to the rich man, but he sort of there were people in the
- 1:27:21audience. You can bet that had these
- 1:27:25issues on The Sermon on the Mount similar to the rich man.
- 1:27:28So he also said regarding murder, you think you're okay
- 1:27:31because you haven't killed anybody but I tell you even if
- 1:27:34you get angry with someone, you have hatred in your heart.
- 1:27:38For someone that that is subjecting you to the Same level
- 1:27:42of penalty. Yeah.
- 1:27:44Jesus was all about pointing out people's hypocrisy and saying,
- 1:27:48you're no better than other people and since pretty equal,
- 1:27:52no will take a little more than that, Olivia.
- 1:27:54Yeah, he's yours. He's not, he's not, he's if he's
- 1:27:57identifying hypocrisies. Identifying it in me.
- 1:28:01Tto our vehicle and you everyone.
- 1:28:04Yeah. Why would you man?
- 1:28:05Right. That's right.
- 1:28:06Now, you got it and that's it. So he makes sure that the people
- 1:28:10who are prideful this is what Made sure who felt
- 1:28:14self-righteous that they're good enough because they do good
- 1:28:20things. They donate.
- 1:28:21They do whatever it is. He made sure that it was clear
- 1:28:25to them. That no, that's not community in
- 1:28:29no pocket. Attentions just works.
- 1:28:31You can't know. There's nothing you can do to
- 1:28:35earn your way in because every single person you me Beckel
- 1:28:41Brett. Everybody, my son, who's 15, you
- 1:28:45messed up. You're not gonna be able to make
- 1:28:46it on your own Merit. So in the case of the rich, man,
- 1:28:49with the rich man needed to hear which was a hard pill for him to
- 1:28:52swallow and we know in the story that he didn't swallow, it was
- 1:28:55like okay, here's where I'm going to show you Richmond.
- 1:28:58You think you abide by everything but I'm going to show
- 1:29:01you your personal idolatry and your idolatry is your love of
- 1:29:06money. And when I tell you that you
- 1:29:09give up your money, all Jesus was doing there was Not saying
- 1:29:12you're a bad person for being rich, he's saying, you are
- 1:29:17idolatrous and love money more than me.
- 1:29:20And that's exactly why you aren't deserving a relationship
- 1:29:23with me. Yeah.
- 1:29:25Okay. Yeah, I will punch out again.
- 1:29:28You do say someone who is Rich, which means our, which people?
- 1:29:31Oh, come on. And we're here it's obvious
- 1:29:38here. It's wild hard as well as
- 1:29:40Olivia. I don't know if you've ever even
- 1:29:41read the Old Testament, Mint. But you do know that God deals
- 1:29:44with a lot of kings and a lot of leaders and the Old Testament
- 1:29:47and these men were wealthy, God had given them great blessings
- 1:29:52and things. So it's not about just having
- 1:29:55money. It's about the greed and how it
- 1:29:57changes your behavior and said, God I don't know how to govern
- 1:30:10this Kingdom. I just want you to give Wisdom
- 1:30:13and knowledge so that I can properly govern and make proper
- 1:30:16discernment, in terms of legal decisions and all this stuff.
- 1:30:19And God said, not only will I give you that, but because you
- 1:30:23asked for that and not for riches, I'm going to go A Step
- 1:30:26Beyond, I'm not just going to make you smarter than anyone
- 1:30:29who's ever lived or will ever live.
- 1:30:31I'm going to give you what you didn't ask for.
- 1:30:33I'm going to give you riches. So if being rich was a sin and a
- 1:30:37crime against God, why on Earth would God give Solomon riches as
- 1:30:42Well as wisdom. Oh my God.
- 1:31:05Why he didn't work with? Would like we like to portray in
- 1:31:10that way. I think Jim Caviezel.
- 1:31:12Made a nice little bench or something in Passion of the
- 1:31:15Christ. He was a tecton which is
- 1:31:17essentially the day, what he would have done is he would have
- 1:31:20been like a four-person a stonemason who built things, you
- 1:31:28know, it out of stone. That's why he used examples,
- 1:31:31like the Capstone and things like that that he had my
- 1:31:34understanding of that and he would have been his father's
- 1:31:37business was certainly successful that he took over.
- 1:31:40Not the his Father in heaven, but his Earthly father, his
- 1:31:44adoptive father's business was just fine.
- 1:31:46So Jesus was not a poor man, he got riches from the Kings who
- 1:31:53came when he was a baby. Jay said, that his Revenue.
- 1:31:57That's what have been middle class though in terms of the
- 1:32:00kind of business he was in with his family?
- 1:32:02Well, I mean, I think he might have been a little higher, maybe
- 1:32:05High middle class, maybe maybe upper middle class, maybe but
- 1:32:08you definitely, he wasn't part of the wealthy Elite.
- 1:32:11That's for Olivia is Write the things that the the as we refer
- 1:32:16to as the wise men, they brought some very expensive stuff to
- 1:32:19him. That would have set the family
- 1:32:21up. May have even allowed Joseph to
- 1:32:23start his business with into. He says all the time he's
- 1:32:26troubling and know, it does, it mention him working in the
- 1:32:29Bible, he was attacked on. Yeah.
- 1:32:32Uses the Greek word time time. Well, these are 30 years old
- 1:32:37when he started his ministry. So obviously he would have been
- 1:32:40working at other jobs and has been About prior to that.
- 1:32:43But let me see if I can find the Bible.
- 1:32:47Verse. Well, what horse are you looking
- 1:32:51for? Well, we're it says that he's a
- 1:32:53tecton, is it? Remember which of gospel?
- 1:32:57It's in looking what? He's a tech Titan lectern.
- 1:33:03And we, the waking James said it was like a carpenter, like some
- 1:33:09sort of Transformer. Like a Transformer.
- 1:33:14The Transformer gonna go back in there so he couldn't have a job.
- 1:33:26One shall fall, he did need money.
- 1:33:31He was the missionary and PP just gay, he people gave him
- 1:33:34money and gave him food and gave him a place to stay when he
- 1:33:37traveled around. Eventually it will be slightly
- 1:33:41hypocritical for him to ask people to give away.
- 1:34:01Follow me live with you say in several different places.
- 1:34:04Nothing. Well, you said, I think I know
- 1:34:07the one and the ones might have been identify.
- 1:34:10Can show the other ones because I don't remember the other ones,
- 1:34:13but I think the crucial thing about what most people don't
- 1:34:16agree on in Christianity. And in general is what faith in
- 1:34:22it takes to be forgiven, is everyone forgiven, by the sheer
- 1:34:26Act of Jesus sacrifice has an automatic forgiveness, or does
- 1:34:30some act on our part need to be done for us to be.
- 1:34:36And then wouldn't that act itself be you know mean that we
- 1:34:42have to save ourselves in again. You know what I mean some
- 1:34:46actions have to do as far as I've said, many times recently
- 1:34:53you have to repent and enter into a personal relationship
- 1:34:57with Jesus, in order for his sacrifice to be applied to you,
- 1:35:02that's marketable. Lays out.
- 1:35:05What is That mean is that the so that can't be Universal because
- 1:35:08not everyone can universally do that.
- 1:35:11I'm still unclear as to how you have a personal relationship
- 1:35:13with someone. You've never spoken, I'll talk
- 1:35:15to you know, see Mets because he's a personal relationship.
- 1:35:37He speaks to me through his written word and sometimes he
- 1:35:40puts thoughts in my head, that clearly aren't my own.
- 1:35:43Yeah, I agree with that. Yeah, well I like you a lot.
- 1:35:47So, that's true. Yeah, that's not what I think
- 1:35:50that. Yeah, I think that the mind that
- 1:35:52God gave us that that has a Consciousness.
- 1:35:54I think that that is a Divine Source.
- 1:35:57I think it is, everyone's ability to connect to the higher
- 1:36:00source. It's what separates us from the
- 1:36:03lower animals, even science would probably agree with that.
- 1:36:09My dog may not because his conscience isn't as evolved as
- 1:36:13mine. He just loves me, no matter.
- 1:36:17She just loves me because I'm delivering him to lunch.
- 1:36:21I just got off. This were just automatically
- 1:36:25forgiving the people who lived like in other continents from
- 1:36:29Jesus. Right then who could never hear
- 1:36:32about Jesus. They're just what automatically
- 1:36:34forgiven or some different standard is applied?
- 1:36:37No, hold on. I got the verse that talks about
- 1:36:40exactly what you just brought up.
- 1:36:43I just got to add it to the Stream.
- 1:36:46Let me guess his Junta, no neighbors 11:39 through 40.
- 1:36:52These were all commended for their faith yet.
- 1:36:54None of them received what had been promised since God had
- 1:36:57planned. Something better for us, so that
- 1:36:59only together with us, would they be made perfect?
- 1:37:03So, before these verses God had talked about through his written
- 1:37:07word, all the different Old Testament, people of Faith.
- 1:37:10This is the famous Hall of Faith passage.
- 1:37:13And so with this passage that comes after his Name is that all
- 1:37:17the Old Testament Saints? They were saved on what was to
- 1:37:20come which was Jesus. We today are saved by what
- 1:37:25happened in the past which is Jesus sacrifice.
- 1:37:28So together we're saved by the same person but they were saved
- 1:37:33on future credit. We were saved on past work of
- 1:37:36Jesus. That's the difference between
- 1:37:38us. So everyone is saved.
- 1:37:41No, no, just the Old Testament people who were saved.
- 1:37:45They were saved. On credit people like me or like
- 1:37:47Native Americans were saved. Aboriginal Australians aren't
- 1:37:52saved who's not. So are they saved or know our
- 1:37:56ancient Egyptians that if they go to, if they do, they'll be
- 1:38:01saved the same way that everyone else is saved.
- 1:38:03Is through Jesus Christ and the grace of God, or how would an
- 1:38:06ancient Egyptian who built the pyramids know about Jesus.
- 1:38:09They wouldn't the, but they would have abrasive, didn't
- 1:38:12know. I think about saying all those,
- 1:38:14that didn't know this. Wait a Michael out, but I
- 1:38:17already answered that question. People will be saved by the
- 1:38:21grace of God. Ultimately.
- 1:38:23Okay. We even see the Israelites,
- 1:38:25embracing, some Egyptians unto the Israelites because when
- 1:38:30example, one guy didn't have a son but he had two daughters.
- 1:38:34I think that his name was Beaufort had or something like
- 1:38:37that and he needed to marry them but he didn't have a son.
- 1:38:42All he had were two daughters. So what did he do?
- 1:38:44He ended up letting them. Marry an Egyptian, man.
- 1:38:48So, what I'd like to point out in response to Olivia, well,
- 1:38:51who's going to be saved and all this, Luke 12:47 through 48.
- 1:38:56This is Jesus. Talking says the servant, who
- 1:38:59knows the Masters will and does not get ready or does not do it.
- 1:39:02The master once will be beaten with many blows but the one who
- 1:39:05does not know and does things, deserving punishment will be
- 1:39:09beaten with few blows from everyone who has been given much
- 1:39:12much will be demanded. And from the one who has been
- 1:39:14entrusted with much much more will be asked What Jesus is
- 1:39:18teaching here is that you're only responsible for what, you
- 1:39:22know, if you know a lot, you're going to be held accountable for
- 1:39:26it. If you don't know that much,
- 1:39:28you're going to be held accountable for the little you
- 1:39:30do know. And might add, this is where
- 1:39:32Uncle Ben. Got the words with great power
- 1:39:35comes great responsibility. Furthermore, and Romans 2 14
- 1:39:41through 15, it says, indeed when Gentiles who do not have the law
- 1:39:45do by Nature things required by the The law.
- 1:39:48They are a law for themselves. Even though they do not have the
- 1:39:51law, they show that the requirements of the law are
- 1:39:53written on their hearts. Their conscience has also
- 1:39:56bearing witness and their thoughts, sometimes accusing
- 1:39:59them, and at other times, even defending them.
- 1:40:02This passage is teaching that everyone's consciences,
- 1:40:06everyone's heart. They know the laws of God at
- 1:40:09least the very basic laws of gods, they know, the of God,
- 1:40:12they know in their heart and their consciences.
- 1:40:14Furthermore, in Romans 1:18 through 20, we read Read the
- 1:40:18wrath of God is being revealed from Heaven, against all the
- 1:40:21godlessness and wickedness of people who suppress the truth by
- 1:40:25their wickedness. Since what may be known about
- 1:40:27God, is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them
- 1:40:30for, since the creation of the world, God's invisible
- 1:40:33qualities, his eternal power and divine nature have been clearly
- 1:40:37seen being understand understood from what has been made, so that
- 1:40:41people are without excuse. So, without any kind of gospel
- 1:40:45input, God says that everyone already Enos just by observing
- 1:40:49creation that he exists and what his attributes are.
- 1:40:52Romans to makes it clear that we all know God's laws deep in our
- 1:40:56hearts, whether we sub consciously or subconsciously
- 1:40:59acknowledge it or not. And so, those are things that
- 1:41:03all people know, regardless of whether they've ever had the
- 1:41:06gospel preached to them. So at the bare minimum, when
- 1:41:10God, judges someone, if he judges someone who's never heard
- 1:41:13the gospel, never heard about Jesus.
- 1:41:16Never heard about any of the things.
- 1:41:17I Usually talk about my videos, he's going to judge people by
- 1:41:21those three things. Do they acknowledge that I
- 1:41:23exist. Do they acknowledge what my
- 1:41:25attributes are? Do they follow the laws that
- 1:41:28they clearly know her mind that are in their heart?
- 1:41:31I believe in the severe case of someone who dies never having
- 1:41:34heard of anything in the Bible. Those are the three standards
- 1:41:38that God's going to judge them with, right?
- 1:41:41I totally agree with the hey. So to get to a point.
- 1:41:46You were making overall, is that?
- 1:41:47Their levels of punishment. Okay?
- 1:41:50They are is it levels of power is like Purgatory or some?
- 1:41:55What is that theology coming from someone who has never heard
- 1:42:00of Jesus? Is not going to be punished for
- 1:42:03rejecting. Jesus is what I'm trying to
- 1:42:05point out. Yeah, you're punished for what,
- 1:42:08you know, if you reject what, you know, you're punished and
- 1:42:11that will vary depending on what you know.
- 1:42:13So the more you know, the more responsible you are because if
- 1:42:16you start rejecting today, Amen. So either you're saying there's
- 1:42:22levels of punishment know, there's Neville's there's levels
- 1:42:26of knowledge, there's levels of judgment, but there's not
- 1:42:29different levels of punishment, the punishments, the same and
- 1:42:33then and that's the way it works and everyday life, doesn't it?
- 1:42:36If you go out for a job and you're in training make mistakes
- 1:42:40they understand your new edit. You've been working here for
- 1:42:43five years and you take a dump on plates or whatever you're
- 1:42:46doing. I said what the hell you been.
- 1:42:47Working for five years. You know, that's not the way we
- 1:42:50do take that is very true. Regret going to send, you know,
- 1:42:56we're talking about very severe punishment, this way, Olivia,
- 1:43:02this is a nice way for you to think about it.
- 1:43:04Is that one of my favorite theologians the guy by the name
- 1:43:08of Dallas Willard. Very, very bright man.
- 1:43:11God Rest his soul. He's a brother in Christ.
- 1:43:13He said the fires of Heaven, Well, be hotter than the fires
- 1:43:20of hell, and which essentially means the way I interpreted, and
- 1:43:24every, every one that can to can tolerate heaven, where heaven is
- 1:43:29heaven will go there. I honestly, but I believe that.
- 1:43:34And in your case, as an example, this God of the Bible, irritates
- 1:43:40you, I think bothers you. And the idea of you going to the
- 1:43:45place where this God of the Bible is, is some place you
- 1:43:48don't want to be. Would that be a fair statement?
- 1:43:52Well, it depends on who's talking about it, but as far as,
- 1:43:54you know, Christians generally speaking kind of, yeah, I think
- 1:43:59I wouldn't want to be around that had about Christians, what
- 1:44:02you've read in the Bible about God.
- 1:44:04I haven't read anything in the Bible.
- 1:44:05I've never read the Bible. Well, Memorize memorize Bible
- 1:44:09verses and I had to go to church, but I do have an idea
- 1:44:13about some of the bad stuff, like wild heart, you know, you
- 1:44:16heard from wild heart, you know, about the genocides and stuff of
- 1:44:19the quote-unquote in the Bible, right?
- 1:44:20And that irritates you right? Well, I mean that's humans.
- 1:44:25The think that the problem I have is can be broken down as
- 1:44:29this. You can't say that there's this
- 1:44:33guy for this creature. I created you and I love you,
- 1:44:37but if you don't worship me and believe in me with no evidence,
- 1:44:42I'm going to torture. You also, you are free to be
- 1:44:45yourself, but unless you do exactly what I want of you, I'm
- 1:44:49going to torture you but I love you.
- 1:45:07Christian, I didn't become a Christian 1237, so it's not like
- 1:45:11I wasn't born in the faith at all.
- 1:45:14So you're talking about a big hurdle for me, in the ends of
- 1:45:18the point that I'm making, the Dallas Willard was making, is
- 1:45:21that it is very possible. That for someone like, you,
- 1:45:24Olivia Heaven, might be torture. And so God gives you that God,
- 1:45:31gives you the choice not to be to suffer in heaven, which is a
- 1:45:37place that you would be uncomfortable in and that is the
- 1:45:41Free Will choice that he's given you because you can set those
- 1:45:44somewhere else to go to me, really?
- 1:45:47And I would like for you, as a non-believer, sit back and go.
- 1:45:50Why are you fighting it so hard? Because I'm not a non-believer.
- 1:45:53Is why it is the idea of The 90s beautiful story really of God's
- 1:46:04attempt to redeem man. Let's just let's view it as just
- 1:46:07a fictional story and we love that because the Jesus story is
- 1:46:11in so much of our Fiction. It's everywhere, it's in Harry
- 1:46:14Potter. I love Harry Potter.
- 1:46:16Harry Potter's gdgs the Jesus figures, Harry Potter himself,
- 1:46:20lest the died for his friends. In fact, Dumbledore uses the
- 1:46:23very friend. The very phrase that Jesus had
- 1:46:26talked about about dying for your friend, you know, the
- 1:46:28Great. Just love of all kind of thing
- 1:46:30was paraphrase thing. So if you view it as just a
- 1:46:34story of God of this, this entity that tries to get right
- 1:46:39relationship with his creation and he does it in a way where he
- 1:46:44he gives up himself. There is a penalty for his
- 1:46:47creation as a result of this fall and he provided a means for
- 1:46:52them to have right relationship with him.
- 1:46:57And all you had to do, Believe you didn't have to have
- 1:47:01Perfection, you didn't have to have works at balance the
- 1:47:04scales, right? Like a Muslim, all you have to
- 1:47:06do is believe in that with a work of Jesus on the cross and
- 1:47:11its most, especially the resurrection and that you would
- 1:47:15get eternal life through that. To me, that is not a story
- 1:47:19that's offensive in the least. I'd like to I'm sorry you
- 1:47:23finish. No, it's okay.
- 1:47:25I'll just leave it at that. So what I would like for you as
- 1:47:27a non-believer to focus on is is that and not all of the Angry
- 1:47:32questions you have, because the truth is, and I hope that Google
- 1:47:36and tto are and even Bracken can agree, is we we can't, when you
- 1:47:42ask when a non-believer going to do like this, what you're asking
- 1:47:53us to speculate we could do our best and we can use scripture to
- 1:47:56kind of support are speculation, but Can't, you know, in the same
- 1:48:01way that that tto are can't tell you why.
- 1:48:06I do the things I do on YouTube, and I can't do the same with
- 1:48:10him. I can't speak for him.
- 1:48:11I have an idea of why, but I can never say definitively.
- 1:48:16So the questions you asked us, you would have to agree.
- 1:48:19There is a level of unfairness to it.
- 1:48:22If you want to ask me how I got past you hurdle, I could tell
- 1:48:25here's what I would ask right now, and I'm going to suggest
- 1:48:29Suggest this thing? Sure.
- 1:48:31Did you're not asking me to believe and say a factoid is not
- 1:48:38the same as asking me to believe in a philosophy.
- 1:48:41Is that correct? Like is learning the years and
- 1:48:44dates of History, the same as understanding history.
- 1:48:50You know, they got together, but they're not Declaration of
- 1:49:01Independence. So I'm going to suggest this.
- 1:49:04I don't if whether or not some person named Jesus who lived
- 1:49:09this time ago, blah, blah blah is God is, do I have a belief in
- 1:49:14that? No.
- 1:49:15Do I believe I'm forgiven by God?
- 1:49:19Yeah. Max.
- 1:49:20And that's all I need to believe that whether the specific magic
- 1:49:27of Jesus is real, I don't particularly go somewhere.
- 1:49:31How do you believe in them? What's God, the creator of the
- 1:49:34universe? Well, what's his heart?
- 1:49:37It doesn't need a good name it. They, she they don't need a
- 1:49:41name. They don't have a name.
- 1:49:43See you at the office of some sort but you don't believe in
- 1:49:45any particular God, correct. I don't believe in any.
- 1:49:49A flavor that I've ever heard because they don't make any
- 1:49:52sense to me. It sounds like you believe in
- 1:49:55deism. Then yeah, I would say that that
- 1:49:58can didn't. I've gone by agnostic?
- 1:50:00I've gone by Christian. I go by deist.
- 1:50:03There's no leave here. I'll say this.
- 1:50:19Died for my sins. I don't need to do anything
- 1:50:22else. No!
- 1:50:23Worries makes me worrying. We will get.
- 1:50:26You said you believe that Jesus died for your sins?
- 1:50:29I'm saying if so, if okay, if so I don't need to go any farther
- 1:50:34in Christianity, if that's true. I'm saved.
- 1:50:38Yeah. And then and what's gonna happen
- 1:50:41to you is that like things start happening in here.
- 1:50:45There's a new creation that's built.
- 1:50:47You, you become a different person.
- 1:50:49Now, In every way, but in a lot of ways.
- 1:50:52Yeah, yeah. That's it.
- 1:50:54You can't say, it's not like you're trying to let me just
- 1:50:57make sure. I understand you saying.
- 1:50:59If it's true that Jesus died for your sins, then it doesn't
- 1:51:02matter. Correct.
- 1:51:04Okay. But the problem is though, that
- 1:51:06you use your skipping out on the part to that, you have to you
- 1:51:09have to believe. Yeah, I believe in forgiving
- 1:51:12guy, I do believe that so therefore I am see what you're
- 1:51:16preaching is universalism that you don't even have to believe
- 1:51:19in. Christ.
- 1:51:19You just the fact that he did something.
- 1:51:22Therefore, automatically makes everybody saved whether or not
- 1:51:25they believe in them. See, that's, that's not really.
- 1:51:28What do I have to believe in? Because, like, what specifically
- 1:51:32are you telling me? I need to believe.
- 1:51:46I don't believe anything. Paul says, I think Paul is an
- 1:51:49ass. Ste person then you're not a
- 1:51:50Christian, which is here too many people on the counter.
- 1:52:19actually that no sorts of people, he was on
- 1:53:19Both. Yeah.
- 1:53:20Yeah. You're just, you're not even
- 1:53:21going to let someone give you the passage the show
- 1:53:24differently. This is odd way of doing things.
- 1:53:27This is not what I call critical thinking, ladies.
- 1:53:30Yeah, you really need to be educated before you speak.
- 1:53:41So bluntly, I don't need to read everything.
- 1:54:02Jesus. I love this passage to.
- 1:54:04Meanwhile saw that was his former name was still breathing
- 1:54:07out murderous threats against the Lord's disciples.
- 1:54:10He went to the high priest and ask them for letters to the
- 1:54:13synagogues in Damascus. So that if he found there any
- 1:54:16there who belong to the way capital w, Where the men or
- 1:54:20women, he might take them as prisoners to Jerusalem as he
- 1:54:24neared Damascus on his journey suddenly a light from Heaven
- 1:54:26flashed around him and he fell to the ground and Heard a Voice
- 1:54:29say to him. Saul Saul, why do you persecute
- 1:54:32me? Who are you Lord?
- 1:54:34Saul asked, I am Jesus. Whom you are persecuting.
- 1:54:37He replied now get up and go into the City and you'll be told
- 1:54:41what you must do and the men traveling with Saul stood there
- 1:54:45speechless, they heard the sound but did not see.
- 1:54:47Anyone saw got up from The ground.
- 1:54:49But when he opened his eyes, he couldn't see anything.
- 1:54:52So they let him by the hand into Damascus for three days.
- 1:54:55He was blind and did not eat or drink anything.
- 1:54:59Let me keep going. Now, we're good.
- 1:55:03I got pretty much establishes that Paul actually did meet
- 1:55:06Jesus. Yes, he did.
- 1:55:29So good, is that it to James and John, look, what happened to me
- 1:55:33in here, Jesus. I fart.
- 1:55:34And what I've learned. And they had a little checks and
- 1:55:38balances thing. And Paul tells us in First
- 1:55:41Corinthians 15 from one to ten, what the church believed.
- 1:55:46Ya, then two decades, right? Let's not mean, I don't believe
- 1:55:52Paul. I don't have to believe Paul and
- 1:55:55he, I don't need to have faith in anything Paul react because
- 1:55:58you're not a Christian. I don't know.
- 1:56:02You have to believe in Jesus. Not nice.
- 1:56:29Believer is he is perfect. You mentioned history, Olivia.
- 1:56:34It is Paul where no secular historian atheist is going to
- 1:56:39say that you know there are no Palm ethicists.
- 1:56:42Okay? And for good reason so we can
- 1:56:45use Paul to, you know, they say faith.
- 1:56:49Scripture says that faith is the hope that we have in things,
- 1:56:53unseen something paraphrasing, but it's Paul and his letters.
- 1:56:58And what we can derive out of his letters that allows a
- 1:57:03Christian today to have confidence, not just on things,
- 1:57:07unseen, but on things seen me the testimony of witnesses of
- 1:57:13people that we know really existed.
- 1:57:17Chris Paul isn't an only guy Paul Paul, Luke, the author of
- 1:57:22Acts that were looking at right now, he tells the story of the
- 1:57:25early church where Paul, after at starting, X7.
- 1:57:29I'm just saying fight, is that any of that matter though?
- 1:57:34Because then we see this group of small group, spread like a
- 1:57:41virus when there was no, like, a wildfire is the best thing for
- 1:57:45me to say not a virus because it's a, these PCS.
- 1:57:49We see it spread even such an amazing way because it since I'm
- 1:57:55a Christian because it's all true.
- 1:57:57It's written. In down because it's romantic
- 1:58:00and a religion, I mean, you didn't do anything.
- 1:58:28Given all this just I am thinking for dinner and I don't
- 1:58:31have faith in. Wait a minute gang named
- 1:58:35iterating which was probably wasn't even his real name.
- 1:58:38Obey. Jesus is a translation that
- 1:58:41wasn't his real name or not this argument.
- 1:58:44It's pretty cool. It's just and idea, you know,
- 1:58:46thinking about idea, not a name. Listen, listen, listen, nobody
- 1:58:51cares about the argument of. Yes, Yeshua verses Jesus aea
- 1:58:55suits and all that other stuff. These are transliterations.
- 1:58:57Okay. That's Daddy, right?
- 1:58:59So it's an idea. You have faith in the idea.
- 1:59:01No, no faith in the idea that God forgives you and you could
- 1:59:06try to do better. I'm just saying what my thought
- 1:59:21is? Why that's all it needs for me.
- 1:59:24My faith is, I've had faith and forgiving, and that I should
- 1:59:27work to be a better person. Next year, you keep on calling
- 1:59:30about. We have never read the Bible and
- 1:59:32then he claims. And then when someone tries to
- 1:59:35answer them all of a sudden the responses, why should I care?
- 1:59:40What I mean, why should I care? It's the only important part is
- 1:59:44if I'm going to go to heaven or hell, Jesus said Jesus said he's
- 1:59:48the way the truth and the life and no one comes to the father,
- 1:59:51except through him, that's why you should care.
- 1:59:53Well what does that mean? It means that universe Does it
- 2:00:03mean that there's only one way to get to heaven?
- 2:00:28I can't see anything. We got, we're gonna stay open
- 2:00:32room, folks. Who is rapid dossett.
- 2:00:38Come on, camera. Rafi, Rafi.
- 2:00:42Rafi, are you going to say hello?
- 2:00:44Speak up. Hello.
- 2:00:47Rafi. Are you real is this thing on?
- 2:00:52Is he real person? There we go.
- 2:00:55There we go. It's one of those things.
- 2:00:57Brett. I haven't seen one of those in a
- 2:00:59while. Oh yeah.
- 2:01:03Highly encourage you to read it first and then come to a
- 2:01:13conclusion which version I would recommend reading it anyway,
- 2:01:16even if we Believe in the village, read whatever version.
- 2:01:18You can understand, whichever one you want to read.
- 2:01:24Just really even like the ones that people call satanic Jack.
- 2:01:28I came to Faith via the NIV. So if you want to read the NIV,
- 2:01:32we can talk, maybe not vehicle. Don't read the vekl translation.
- 2:01:42I would concur with Rob if you can read the Bible and properly
- 2:01:46understand What it says Olivia and yet you still reject, it
- 2:01:49will respect you for that but yeah, you should at least know
- 2:01:52what you're rejecting before you get Jacqueline.
- 2:01:56I've never read the Bible but I am certain about every person
- 2:02:00that discussed over the last 15 years on YouTube.
- 2:02:03Yeah, but you don't have you don't have like this with new
- 2:02:12stuff came to me. All due respect you.
- 2:02:17It doesn't matter how many times you read the scriptures you
- 2:02:19clearly demonstrate over and over again that you don't know
- 2:02:22what it is that you read well by proving you wrong twice at least
- 2:02:25just I don't know. You didn't find me on any topic
- 2:02:31regarding Christianity. I was I was a lad we accepted
- 2:02:44and over them. I don't know.
- 2:02:46How they do things in your country but in order to have
- 2:02:49conversation, one persepolis be quiet.
- 2:02:52The other one talks and then you switch back and forth.
- 2:02:54It's an interesting concept. Yeah, he was he was laughed out
- 2:02:58loud. No wild.
- 2:02:59Are you just name the time and the place I would gladly debate.
- 2:03:04You anytime on any topic regarding tenets of
- 2:03:08Christianity, anytime you're ready like, well by, do you
- 2:03:11agree that the Bible says every rich man.
- 2:03:14So one who is Rich means we've Everyone in this room, that is a
- 2:03:18student of the Bible is already proving you wrong about that.
- 2:03:21We had both passages from of Jesus and the Rich Man story on
- 2:03:25screen and in both passages it said that it was hard for the
- 2:03:29rich man to enter. Not that it was impossible.
- 2:03:32So sure. Oh grandma just called someone
- 2:03:38who is Rich. Does that mean every rich person
- 2:03:41because of my gosh again we well are we all don't?
- 2:03:45Listen listen listen. We've I've already explained
- 2:03:47this to you about why? Jesus said what he said about it
- 2:03:50being hard for a rich man to listen.
- 2:03:53Listen. All right.
- 2:03:58This is why you don't Wild Heart.
- 2:04:03Maybe he just needs to be quiet for a second.
- 2:04:05This is why he's asking the same questions in every hang out of.
- 2:04:07He goes to his because he doesn't listen, I do.
- 2:04:11The point isn't wealth in that passage well-tied it's idolatry.
- 2:04:16Exactly, it TTL heart. Yes, it is.
- 2:04:21It is hard for. I'm throwing you a bone.
- 2:04:23It is hard. It is hard for every rich man to
- 2:04:29it. Be easier for a camel to go
- 2:04:30through and I am you. Yes.
- 2:04:32Why? Because of their idolatry
- 2:04:35exactly staying that because Jesus obviously not listening,
- 2:04:40he's not listening. We can see the look in your your
- 2:04:45eye. It's like a deer and I believe
- 2:05:16It's a wild. Heart one did Rob say earlier.
- 2:05:19Can you describe even just a couple of the things that Rob
- 2:05:22was telling you why? I think that's it was it was
- 2:05:25like salvation, not all right. It's with me.
- 2:05:52This is no hater anything. But do you have attention?
- 2:05:55I'll even I'll even sheet and put the structure back on screen
- 2:06:00are. Go ahead.
- 2:06:01Put it up on screen showing the Rich Man story.
- 2:06:04Right here, telling me that, that only Elon Musk can go to
- 2:06:08heaven, is that we were saying, is that what you're saying?
- 2:06:15Not only did Jesus. Say every rich man won't but
- 2:06:21every poor man as well. Nice wealth.
- 2:06:25Wealth is not the important so that's it.
- 2:06:28Everybody has our own little personal ideology.
- 2:06:31Sometimes it's the poor people, their own poverty.
- 2:06:34Becomes their idolatry. Yeah.
- 2:06:36What are you going to stand there?
- 2:06:38I'll be real quick. The real reason why Jesus is
- 2:06:41saying this, the real point of all this is to show you the
- 2:06:45utter impossibility. It is for man through his own
- 2:06:48efforts or his reputation to get into heaven.
- 2:06:54Okay. It is solely by the grace of God
- 2:06:57that you must get an F. That's why he gave him that
- 2:06:59challenge. Oh oh, oh you got all this
- 2:07:01money, you kept all of The Commandments.
- 2:07:03Okay, let's see, let's see. I know go give all your stuff
- 2:07:07for free to the poor and he just like I think somebody's calling
- 2:07:11me, I'll be right back and he left.
- 2:07:13Yeah, so that's fair enough. But my point wasn't about any of
- 2:07:16that, it was just on the simple basic facts.
- 2:07:19He was talking about every rich man.
- 2:07:21That was the only point I was trying to know whenever
- 2:07:36it's much deeper than that. We're wasting our time.
- 2:08:01Yeah. If he's not even going to
- 2:08:03listen, let's make sure that he's actually listening Wild
- 2:08:07Heart. What did mean ptor say to you
- 2:08:09about Solomon earlier Suliman? Wow, he talking about the fish.
- 2:08:15Okay, it's like genuinely wildheart.
- 2:08:20We we spent like 10 minutes talking about it.
- 2:08:24Man who prayed for wisdom and God said, Not only am I going to
- 2:08:28give you wisdom, but I'm going to talk about how a man seeks
- 2:08:39wisdom. And also wants to follow as
- 2:08:42God's will is, but some people are not able to do that.
- 2:08:46They're not able to put away their material things.
- 2:08:49This is what's been being told to you now.
- 2:08:51Yeah. Glenda.
- 2:08:54Yeah, I'm not good with names. I saw I didn't remember that.
- 2:08:57It, that was Solomon. You talking.
- 2:08:58There's nowhere in the Bible where it says, if you make over
- 2:09:02this certain amount of income. Sorry.
- 2:09:04Bye bye. It was fun.
- 2:09:10I gotta head out. I think it's good seeing you.
- 2:09:30Trying to assert that, the Bible says that you are trying to
- 2:09:34assert or implied, that only rich people going could get to
- 2:09:38heaven or something like that. And that wasn't the point of us,
- 2:09:41bringing up, Matthew, 19. We're talking about idolatry as
- 2:09:45T2, are brought up before? I didn't know, rich people are
- 2:09:48more capable of putting their possessions before a
- 2:09:52relationship with God, that's why you ask him.
- 2:09:56That's why in the beginning of that whole encounter.
- 2:09:58What is Jesus? Do he asked him?
- 2:10:00Why do you call me, good? There's only one.
- 2:10:03That's good and that's God. That's not a question that Jesus
- 2:10:06is asking because he doesn't possess a mission ability.
- 2:10:09He's asking him a rhetorical question because the whole
- 2:10:13conversation is about the contrast between the perfect
- 2:10:18Holiness of God versus the utter depravity of man the in Nobility
- 2:10:24for him to receive God's grace, through his Works, through his
- 2:10:30possessions, through his reputation.
- 2:10:32So that's why he tells the Rich Young Ruler, go ahead and sell
- 2:10:36all of your possessions to the poor and we see how the rich man
- 2:10:40took. Daddy says, I'm gonna go over
- 2:10:43here, I'm my by he went away. Sad is what he went away.
- 2:10:46If you anyways Yeah yeah, so my poem was never about you that I
- 2:10:57would just going off the language when he says a rich
- 2:10:59man. My only point was.
- 2:11:01That means every rich, man. And it turns over the Bible says
- 2:11:04someone who is rich people, right?
- 2:11:08Let me tell them to slap you because you're repeating itself.
- 2:11:32Indicate that it is hard for rich men and it is speaking
- 2:11:36generally to enter the kingdom of God.
- 2:11:39And the reason why that is is because their own possessions
- 2:11:42becomes their Idol. When you get a lot of stuff,
- 2:11:45your natural tendency is not to lose it and so that can drive
- 2:11:49you to do things that you really really shouldn't be doing.
- 2:11:53And it will definitely come before your relationship with
- 2:11:56God. If you let it, I want I want to
- 2:11:58apologize. I made a mistake.
- 2:12:00I think tto. Are you reminding me of my
- 2:12:03mistake of me regarding wild? Our Walmart, didn't say that
- 2:12:07only rich people could go to heaven.
- 2:12:08He was saying that he was indicating that only rich people
- 2:12:11could not go to heaven, right? You stop with the faulty
- 2:12:14interpretation of Matthew, 19. And what we were saying, is no,
- 2:12:17that's not the case. You don't, you know, because God
- 2:12:20makes people rich. I could be wrong about the man,
- 2:12:52the rich man. Who had increased things and he
- 2:12:56had so much increase that he didn't have a place to put the
- 2:12:58rest of his his belongings. So then he says, 12 2014, I
- 2:13:07always say this, it's 1212 Yen earlier on Regatta.
- 2:13:12Yeah it's one of my favorite Parables.
- 2:13:15I love that parable. Grab the stream, here it is.
- 2:13:22Yeah, man. Yep.
- 2:13:24Someone in the crowd said to him teacher tell my brother to
- 2:13:28divide the inheritance with me Jesus replied man who appointed
- 2:13:32me a judge or Urban or an Arbiter between you, then he
- 2:13:35said to them watch out be on your guard against all kinds of
- 2:13:38greed. Life does not consist in an
- 2:13:41abundance of possessions then he and he told them this Parable
- 2:13:45the ground of a certain rich man yielded an abundant Harvest he
- 2:13:49thought to himself. What shall I do?
- 2:13:51I have no place to store my crops then he said This is what
- 2:13:55I'll do. I'll tear down my Barns and
- 2:13:57build bigger ones and there, I will store my Surplus grain.
- 2:14:00And I'll say to myself, you have plenty of grain laid up for many
- 2:14:04years, take life easy, eat drink, and be merry.
- 2:14:07But God said to him, you fool this very night.
- 2:14:11Your life will be demanded from you, then who will get what you
- 2:14:14have prepared for yourself. This is how it will be with
- 2:14:17whoever stores that things for themselves, but is not rich
- 2:14:20towards God. We so that Parable is definitely
- 2:14:25geared towards the point of if you have wrong relationship with
- 2:14:28God, your possessions mean, nothing, and you'll eventually
- 2:14:32lose them. Yeah, either through some,
- 2:14:35freakish accident, or event, or just through the course of
- 2:14:38nature. When you die, could you imagine
- 2:14:42if the Wicked, the rich Wicked? People were able to see what
- 2:14:47happens to their money after they die?
- 2:14:51Like, I don't know. What has got to be like what?
- 2:14:53Hell is like, except for what scripture reveals, but I can't
- 2:14:57help, but to wonder if that will be one of the aspects of God
- 2:15:01showing them what people after their death, doing with their
- 2:15:05possessions and the people in their graves are rolling over.
- 2:15:08Like, no, I didn't want the money spent on that.
- 2:15:11They just used my money to build another church.
- 2:15:14No, you know, kind of like that story of V here.
- 2:15:18I think you guys could correct me if I'm wrong, but at The
- 2:15:21Story Goes, Goes that he was a hardcore god-hating atheist and
- 2:15:27he was set fully on destroying Bibles and stuff.
- 2:15:31And then he made it a proclamation that I think
- 2:15:34hundreds of years after his death, Christianity would cease
- 2:15:38to exist. But then after he died, the
- 2:15:41building that he used to burn Bibles had, there was some sort
- 2:15:47of accident where I think it caught on fire and then years
- 2:15:50later, it was rebuilt. But that building was then used
- 2:15:54specifically to print Bibles. So, I hated life because the
- 2:16:20work that is done under the sun was Grevious to me.
- 2:16:23All of it is meaningless a chasing after the wind.
- 2:16:26I hated all the things I had toiled for under the sun because
- 2:16:29I must leave them to the one who comes after me and who knows,
- 2:16:32whether that person will be wise or foolish.
- 2:16:34Yet they will have control over all the fruit of my toilet with
- 2:16:38which I have poured, my effort and skill Under the Sun.
- 2:16:42This too is meaningless. So my heart began to despair
- 2:16:45over all my toilsome labor Under the Sun for a person may labor
- 2:16:49of wisdom, knowledge and skill. And And they must leave.
- 2:16:52All they own to another who has not toiled for it.
- 2:16:56This too is meaningless and a great Misfortune.
- 2:16:59What do people get for all the toil and anxious striving with
- 2:17:02which they labor Under the Sun? All their days?
- 2:17:05Their work is grief and pain even at night, their minds, do
- 2:17:08not rest. This too is meaningless.
- 2:17:14Hmm, that is what a rich person may be thinking when they start
- 2:17:18to think about what's going to happen to all my stuff.
- 2:17:21When I die there will not be a Bible in the earth except one
- 2:17:35that is looked upon by an antiquarian curiosity, Seeker.
- 2:17:40I wonder what this thing is. And then he's been in 1717 and,
- 2:17:46and then two years later, he says, it took 12 men to start
- 2:17:50Christianity. One will destroy it and that he
- 2:17:56died. He died that year. 100 years
- 2:17:59later Voltaire was dead on his own press, and his own press and
- 2:18:04house, where being used to practice and Stork Bibles by the
- 2:18:07Geneva Bible says, that's one of History's.
- 2:18:16Again you know in the Book of Esther is probably the only book
- 2:18:20that where God is not mentioned directly, but you do see is you
- 2:18:25do see him work in in the story though.
- 2:18:27And this is another example of God, having a sense of humor
- 2:18:30there, you know what he did with Haman?
- 2:18:35Heyman had this. He was a, he was a Jew hating
- 2:18:38individual. He had built the Gallows for
- 2:18:43Mordecai who was a Jew, but then things turned around somehow
- 2:18:49where he ended up himself on being hung on those things that
- 2:18:52he designed for for Mordecai. That's, it was kind of a funny
- 2:18:58thing in The Morbid fashion. But King Xerxes understood
- 2:19:01irony. Yeah.
- 2:19:04Yeah, it's little bit. Humans are only seconds.
- 2:19:07It's got to be busy. Yeah, another example of God,
- 2:19:10having a sense of humor is the fact that atheists exist so, you
- 2:19:13know, yeah, I also love it. Well, we are about two hours and
- 2:19:2019 minutes and and I think this is a good point to bring the
- 2:19:25show to a close. So thank you everyone who has
- 2:19:29participated in this room and thank you.
