- 0:20Speaker 1: Hey, everyone, welcome to Bless This Mess and the dry
- 0:22Speaker 1: Crum podcast. I'm care here with Stu, says do Hey,
- 0:25Speaker 1: we are back this week and we are going to Florida, Florida. Sorry, guys,
- 0:32Speaker 1: I'm very tired and I'm very tired, so I hope
- 0:38Speaker 1: I have enthusiasm. We're supposed to record this last night,
- 0:41Speaker 1: but I had a really bad headache and I went
- 0:43Speaker 1: to bed at like nine pm. It is now nine
- 0:46Speaker 1: to twenty four pm, and I would love to be
- 0:47Speaker 1: in bed right now. But Stu went to go lay
- 0:50Speaker 1: down with the children because we actually had a thunderstorm here.
- 0:54Speaker 1: So also, let me just say that I missed out
- 0:56Speaker 1: on going to sleep while it was raining, which never
- 1:00Speaker 1: happens here. I mean, it does happen, but usually there's
- 1:03Speaker 1: like hell and tornado warns and bad things happening in
- 1:07Speaker 1: high winds. But the last few nights it has been
- 1:10Speaker 1: just a thunderstorm. Yes. Anyways, the children of our daughter
- 1:16Speaker 1: was afraid, so Stu had to go lay down in
- 1:18Speaker 1: there in their room while they went to sleep. And
- 1:20Speaker 1: then he fell asleep, and I'm texting, going where are
- 1:22Speaker 1: you are we? What are we doing? And then finally
- 1:26Speaker 1: he appears and he's like, I don't know when she
- 1:28Speaker 1: fell asleep. I fell asleep. So anyway, so it's now
- 1:31Speaker 1: nine thirty and I'm tired, but we're here to record
- 1:35Speaker 1: this podcast, even though i'd like to say something tell
- 1:40Speaker 1: me from a couple episodes ago, Stu, I never read
- 1:45Speaker 1: the I never read the review where Stu said someone
- 1:48Speaker 1: was complaining about the ads and I was like, well,
- 1:50Speaker 1: get over it, that's not Stu did not convey that
- 1:55Speaker 1: review very well. She wasn't complaining about the ads, complaining
- 2:00Speaker 1: about the placement of the ads.
- 2:02Speaker 2: And I said there was nothing we could do it, okay.
- 2:04Speaker 1: But there is something to do. She was saying that
- 2:06Speaker 1: that it's okay. So whatever they put the ads in,
- 2:08Speaker 1: they're supposed to find like natural pauses. So for instance,
- 2:11Speaker 1: like this is a pause, so they're supposed to find
- 2:15Speaker 1: like a natural pause. But I don't know, maybe they're
- 2:19Speaker 1: cutting into the middle.
- 2:21Speaker 2: I don't.
- 2:21Speaker 1: I don't listen to this again. Like whatever is recorded,
- 2:24Speaker 1: we edit as we go, and I don't. I'm not
- 2:27Speaker 1: gonna listen to myself again. I just can't do it myself.
- 2:30Speaker 1: My my self esteem cannot handle listening to myself on
- 2:35Speaker 1: the podcast.
- 2:36Speaker 2: And I gotta listen to you all the time, so
- 2:38Speaker 2: I'm definitely not gonna listen to you anyway.
- 2:40Speaker 1: So I will make sure this time when they go out,
- 2:43Speaker 1: I will make sure it's not in the middle of
- 2:45Speaker 1: a sentence. Maybe find a natural break and put one in. So,
- 2:51Speaker 1: I mean, maybe we need to be thinking about that
- 2:53Speaker 1: when we're recording these. I do not know anyway, So
- 2:56Speaker 1: I would just like to apologize to whoever other of you.
- 2:59Speaker 1: Although I don't feel like we deserve three stars for that,
- 3:02Speaker 1: just do five stars to say please. They're like, cause
- 3:04Speaker 1: them bitches ain't gonna look at it unless I give
- 3:06Speaker 1: them three stars. I gotta take a couple of stars
- 3:08Speaker 1: off for them to notice now. Alice, on the other hand,
- 3:11Speaker 1: she gave us a one star review because she said
- 3:14Speaker 1: she wrote a whole entire yes about how terrible we are.
- 3:19Speaker 1: Thank you, Alice, and we put a fair warning. We
- 3:25Speaker 1: are inappropriate. We cuss and I laugh in uncomfortable situations.
- 3:30Speaker 1: We have talked about this. I don't know how to
- 3:33Speaker 1: handle uncomfortable situations except for joking about them. So that's
- 3:37Speaker 1: how we do. And we do try to not I
- 3:43Speaker 1: don't know, we try. Just never mind to we're never
- 3:45Speaker 1: gonna change. I don't think we're disrespectful to the victims ever.
- 3:50Speaker 1: I think we laugh about other things in this stuff,
- 3:54Speaker 1: but we try not to have anything unless there's just
- 3:57Speaker 1: really something silly. Sometimes there's just really something silly. But
- 4:01Speaker 1: for the most part, no, we mainly make jokes about
- 4:05Speaker 1: like stuff going on with us that when we're doing
- 4:07Speaker 1: reading the case, it reminds us of things going on.
- 4:12Speaker 2: But that means you have no empathy.
- 4:14Speaker 1: Yes, I have no empathy. I'm just a terrible bitch.
- 4:17Speaker 1: So thank you, Alice. Appreciate you. Appreciate the review, and
- 4:23Speaker 1: I will work on the ad placement. I don't know
- 4:25Speaker 1: if I'm going to work on it this time, but
- 4:27Speaker 1: maybe next time I will so because it is late,
- 4:30Speaker 1: all right, Well, follow us on support us on Patreon.
- 4:36Speaker 1: Really appreciate you. We are actually working on something for
- 4:39Speaker 1: the for if you're on Patreon. I'm not going to
- 4:42Speaker 1: promise anything because I've said this many at times, but
- 4:44Speaker 1: we actually have like a little thing we're planning. So
- 4:48Speaker 1: just to hint, we are watching the what's her name, Cherry,
- 4:52Speaker 1: Cherry Shappini, Scherry Pepinie.
- 4:56Speaker 2: I was hungry? Is that what? Uh? That's what?
- 5:01Speaker 1: Monkey said Panini. No, who said Panini?
- 5:06Speaker 2: I did No.
- 5:08Speaker 1: She was upset with someone. Oh, she was calling nine
- 5:11Speaker 1: one one or yes, and she said, she said, my
- 5:14Speaker 1: name is Sherry Peppini. He says Cherry Panini.
- 5:19Speaker 2: She's like, no, Puppini. Hey was hungry.
- 5:24Speaker 1: Anyways, we are watching that. So that's just a hint
- 5:27Speaker 1: and maybe something that might be discussed because you know,
- 5:31Speaker 1: Alice was like something silly. Well, there's something silly, Miss
- 5:34Speaker 1: Sherry Peppini. She's silly. So we're we are working on
- 5:38Speaker 1: something for a patron But Stu does have his eye
- 5:41Speaker 1: surgery coming up, so we may be not having episodes
- 5:45Speaker 1: for the next two weeks. Probably not unless I get
- 5:52Speaker 1: going and get something in before before Sunday, but that's
- 5:56Speaker 1: probably not gonna happen, guys, So so might have a
- 5:58Speaker 1: two week break going into Stu's eye surgery. So yes,
- 6:04Speaker 1: thank you everyone on Patreon, falls, on Instagram, Facebook, and
- 6:10Speaker 1: write a review that's not one star would be appreciated.
- 6:14Speaker 2: Thanks Alice.
- 6:16Speaker 1: Yep, do not go ask Alice. That's a book, Stu,
- 6:20Speaker 1: go ask Alice.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Okay.
- 6:22Speaker 1: Anyways, all right, so let's go ahead and get into
- 6:24Speaker 1: this week's episode. Out of Florida. Did I say that
- 6:29Speaker 1: right out of Florida? I could not think of fact
- 6:34Speaker 1: of the matter today?
- 6:35Speaker 2: Is that what it is?
- 6:37Speaker 1: I just said it earlier. I don't know if I
- 6:39Speaker 1: said it on the pod. I could not say think
- 6:41Speaker 1: of fact. I was like matter of matter of fact,
- 6:44Speaker 1: fact of the matter. They're both they're both options, right, yes, okay.
- 6:49Speaker 1: Adrian Robert was born January fourth, nineteen eighty three, to
- 6:53Speaker 1: Mark and Dolores Robert in Brunswick, Maine. Now Adrian, Maine,
- 6:58Speaker 1: beautiful state.
- 7:00Speaker 2: Did like it?
- 7:01Speaker 1: Yes, We went to Bayhaibah.
- 7:04Speaker 2: It was lovely, and we went to.
- 7:09Speaker 1: What where's Stephen King's house? Was it Brunswick? No, someone knows.
- 7:17Speaker 2: We popped by in front of it and yeah, we went.
- 7:19Speaker 1: Yeah, they're like they're little like the red balloons from it.
- 7:22Speaker 1: People had put them all out on the on the
- 7:26Speaker 1: gates and everything. So very pretty, very pretty state.
- 7:29Speaker 2: Maine.
- 7:30Speaker 1: Now Adrian grew up in Maine with her parents and brother.
- 7:32Speaker 1: She attended leave It or Levitt High School and graduated
- 7:36Speaker 1: in two thousand and one. She would later go on
- 7:38Speaker 1: to attend the University of Maine in Augusta, and she
- 7:42Speaker 1: would graduate in two thousand and five. Now she decided
- 7:44Speaker 1: to go back to school. So she went in and
- 7:47Speaker 1: decided to try something completely different, and she moves to St. Petersburg,
- 7:52Speaker 1: Florida to attend USF. Now, while living in Florida, Adrian
- 7:57Speaker 1: met Justin Pounderst.
- 8:00Speaker 2: Stuart.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Now, why can't you just be mature? Now? Justin Pounders.
- 8:09Speaker 2: Okay, she's just.
- 8:12Speaker 1: Even just in time or something. Uh. They hit it
- 8:16Speaker 1: off immediately. Justin thought Adriane was beautiful and funny and
- 8:19Speaker 1: they just had a really good time together. Now, Adriane
- 8:22Speaker 1: and Justin were progressing their relationship and they decided they
- 8:25Speaker 1: want to move in together. Well, Adrian was currently living
- 8:28Speaker 1: in Clearwater, Florida, in a townhouse with her friend Jay.
- 8:32Speaker 1: So she's gonna need to, you know, move out today, roommate.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Yep.
- 8:39Speaker 1: So they Justin and Adrian were excited to take this
- 8:42Speaker 1: next step in their relationship and they found a place.
- 8:45Speaker 1: So they start packing, getting ready to move on out
- 8:48Speaker 1: and move on in with each other. I'll do it, Stuart,
- 8:54Speaker 1: I was just having flat too late for you to
- 8:57Speaker 1: It's too late or is it?
- 9:00Speaker 2: Is it ever too late? On July thirteenth, twenty twelve,
- 9:05Speaker 2: Adrian and Jay, who is the roommate, Kara.
- 9:09Speaker 1: Yes, I wanted to just make sure everybody remembered.
- 9:11Speaker 2: That decided to have a last evening together. Kind of
- 9:15Speaker 2: is a farewell of all the time that they had
- 9:17Speaker 2: spent together, lived together. Justin was fine with this because
- 9:21Speaker 2: he needed to finish packing a few things and organizing
- 9:24Speaker 2: for the big move the next day. At around three
- 9:28Speaker 2: thirty four am, that's God, I can't even imagine being
- 9:32Speaker 2: up that lie.
- 9:32Speaker 1: I know, nine thirty three, I mean, and I'm like Jesus,
- 9:35Speaker 1: I should already be asleep six hours by then.
- 9:38Speaker 2: Yes, I would like to be asleep myself. But at
- 9:41Speaker 2: three thirty four am, which is late, well, we already
- 9:46Speaker 2: did early.
- 9:48Speaker 1: What is that probably in our neighborhood? Yeah, someone probably
- 9:53Speaker 1: got shot. Get us out of.
- 9:57Speaker 2: Here now, like Jay did. We should probably call nine one,
- 10:01Speaker 2: but Jay calls nine to one one.
- 10:03Speaker 1: This is what Alice is talking about, stew inappropriate Jos, No,
- 10:07Speaker 1: but you skipped a whole section though, Jay. Around three
- 10:10Speaker 1: thirty four am, Jay returns home and Adrian had headed
- 10:16Speaker 1: home before him.
- 10:17Speaker 2: Yes, Adrian had headed home before j When Jay gets
- 10:21Speaker 2: there at three thirty four am, I think we've.
- 10:25Speaker 1: Well established he arrived at three thirty four am Stewart.
- 10:27Speaker 2: I just wanted to get back to the dot. He
- 10:31Speaker 2: comes upon Adrian in lying on the bathroom floor and
- 10:35Speaker 2: she's not moving. She's covered in blood. He calls nine
- 10:39Speaker 2: to one one. He tells him that she's not breathing.
- 10:42Speaker 2: The nine to one one operator walks in through CPR
- 10:45Speaker 2: until help arrives, but it is too late. Adrian is
- 10:50Speaker 2: pronounced dead at the scene. Police head to the scene
- 10:53Speaker 2: to process the town home for evidence, and when they
- 10:55Speaker 2: arrived they notice that there are no signs a forest entry.
- 10:59Speaker 2: The townhome has two stories. Adriane is lying in the
- 11:02Speaker 2: bathroom just off the stairs on the second floor. From
- 11:06Speaker 2: the initial scene, they can tell that Adrian has a
- 11:09Speaker 2: stab wound to the chest and that she has bled
- 11:11Speaker 2: out all over the bathroom. There was a broken toilet
- 11:14Speaker 2: seat and blood spatter in the bathtub as if there
- 11:17Speaker 2: had been a struggle. Adrian was undressed and it appeared
- 11:21Speaker 2: that a sexual assault had been the motive. There was
- 11:24Speaker 2: blood prints. There were blood prints leading out of the
- 11:27Speaker 2: room and they would most likely be from the killer,
- 11:30Speaker 2: as Adrian would not have been able to leave the
- 11:32Speaker 2: room after the stab wound. In her bedroom, there was
- 11:36Speaker 2: also a very odd clue. A large circular portion of
- 11:40Speaker 2: her bed sheet had been cut out, as if the purse.
- 11:44Speaker 2: Someone had removed it to take the evidence of a
- 11:46Speaker 2: possible rape. They collect whatever evidence they can from the
- 11:50Speaker 2: bed and during her autopsy they find bruising on her
- 11:53Speaker 2: arms and other bruising indicating rape.
- 11:57Speaker 1: Now, when looking outside, they find Adriane's jeep was missing.
- 12:00Speaker 1: So she's a jeep girls doew, so automatically makes her
- 12:04Speaker 1: cooler than me other girls. I was a jeep girls,
- 12:09Speaker 1: stew you were.
- 12:10Speaker 2: I still have the jeep and now you're a mini.
- 12:13Speaker 1: I know how the mighty have fallen. I still have
- 12:17Speaker 1: the jeep though one day we'll reconnect. Now police immediately
- 12:21Speaker 1: assume that probably the killer had taken the jeep during
- 12:24Speaker 1: the getaway, because a lot of times that the killer
- 12:27Speaker 1: or someone who does something robs someone, you know they're
- 12:29Speaker 1: going to take their car. So they canvassed the neighborhood
- 12:33Speaker 1: and they just start asking around to see if anybody
- 12:35Speaker 1: saw anything suspicious or anything like that. They start by
- 12:38Speaker 1: speaking to Jay and he walks them through their night
- 12:41Speaker 1: and he said that they headed to a place called
- 12:43Speaker 1: Diamond Dolls around ten thirty PM strip club. It is
- 12:49Speaker 1: a strip club, so this was Police were initially like, oh,
- 12:54Speaker 1: you guys were going to a strip club, you know,
- 12:55Speaker 1: because I don't know a lot of women that I
- 12:58Speaker 1: have been to a strip club. But that's not something
- 13:00Speaker 1: that I would have you now, Stuart, we've been to
- 13:03Speaker 1: strip clubs together very infrequently, and it was in New Orleans.
- 13:09Speaker 1: Oh yeah, We've been to other things in New Orleans
- 13:12Speaker 1: that were not good anyways, So you know, police were like, oh,
- 13:17Speaker 1: this this little weird. But Jay actually he's like, yeah,
- 13:21Speaker 1: this is actually something we do all the time because
- 13:24Speaker 1: it's within walking distance of their house. But anyways, I
- 13:27Speaker 1: looked up Diamond Dolls is still a round stew and
- 13:30Speaker 1: it was rated like number one gentlemen's club, like seven
- 13:35Speaker 1: years in a row or something, So we.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Need to go do some researchers what you're saying.
- 13:38Speaker 1: No, And it's been around since like nineteen eighty three,
- 13:42Speaker 1: so Diamond Dolls is still going strong. So yeah, So
- 13:48Speaker 1: but police with her going to this strip club, they
- 13:51Speaker 1: are concerned about the possibly the different types of people
- 13:54Speaker 1: Adrian might encounter. There could be plenty of suspects there.
- 13:57Speaker 1: I mean, you are going to a mainly men or
- 14:00Speaker 1: there mainly men that want to be with women, and
- 14:03Speaker 1: now we have this sexually motivated crime, so you know,
- 14:07Speaker 1: the suspect list could be big. Now. Jay says they
- 14:11Speaker 1: were approached by a because they start asking, you know,
- 14:14Speaker 1: did anything weird happen? Did you talk to anybody? And
- 14:17Speaker 1: he does say that a man approached them while they
- 14:18Speaker 1: were sitting at the bar, and the police asked him
- 14:20Speaker 1: to describe and he said he was an African American.
- 14:23Speaker 1: He had a goateee, he was medium billed and not
- 14:26Speaker 1: too tall. He said that he'd never, you know, met
- 14:30Speaker 1: this person before. He didn't even get the guy's name.
- 14:33Speaker 1: It seemed like they were Jay and Adrian were sitting
- 14:36Speaker 1: at the bar and this guy, you know, you know,
- 14:38Speaker 1: someone will just kind of come up and sit next
- 14:40Speaker 1: next to you and just kind of start chatting you
- 14:43Speaker 1: up or whatever at the bar, like getting the feelers
- 14:46Speaker 1: out and stuff like that. So it seemed like that
- 14:49Speaker 1: was more. He wasn't like joining their group or anything
- 14:52Speaker 1: like that. So Adrian decided that she wanted to go
- 14:57Speaker 1: ahead and leave since she was moving the next morning.
- 14:59Speaker 1: She needed to get home, get a good night's sleep
- 15:01Speaker 1: and everything like that. Well, Jay he wasn't ready to go,
- 15:04Speaker 1: so he stays a little longer. Well, after Adrian leaves,
- 15:08Speaker 1: the man sitting with them asked, you know, asked Jay
- 15:11Speaker 1: where she went, and he told him, well, she had
- 15:13Speaker 1: to go, and then that's when the man got up
- 15:16Speaker 1: and left, and he Jay just thought he was hanging
- 15:19Speaker 1: around him because he thought he might.
- 15:21Speaker 2: Be able to, you know, get it out or something.
- 15:24Speaker 1: No, he was probably hitting on or hoping to you know,
- 15:29Speaker 1: hit on Adrian. And then she left and then he's like, oh, yeah,
- 15:31Speaker 1: she left, So then he's probably thinking, oh. The guy
- 15:33Speaker 1: just is like, Okay, well, I'm not gonna sit around
- 15:35Speaker 1: here with this this dude I don't know at this
- 15:37Speaker 1: strip club. And so he didn't really think it wasn't
- 15:40Speaker 1: anything suspicious or anything like that, but it was something
- 15:43Speaker 1: that he you know, remembered happening. So police need to
- 15:47Speaker 1: verify Jay's story, so they request footage from the Diamond
- 15:50Speaker 1: Dolls establishment.
- 15:52Speaker 2: STU. I need to request some footage from.
- 15:55Speaker 1: There, and there was several that needed to go do
- 15:57Speaker 1: undercover work to see.
- 16:00Speaker 2: Meanwhile, police are able to find her jeep pretty quickly.
- 16:03Speaker 2: It's only about three or four blocks away. It was
- 16:06Speaker 2: still running and the lights were on. The jeep was
- 16:09Speaker 2: parked near a carmac, so police head to the business
- 16:11Speaker 2: to see if they caught anything on a camera. They
- 16:14Speaker 2: have him playback everything starting with the evening of July thirteenth,
- 16:19Speaker 2: and at around three point thirty eight am, they see
- 16:21Speaker 2: a figure walking through the parking lot. It appears to
- 16:24Speaker 2: be a black mail with long hair, a baseball hat,
- 16:27Speaker 2: and he was wearing shorts. The person was also walking
- 16:32Speaker 2: away from where the jeep was found. So this was
- 16:35Speaker 2: their best lead so far.
- 16:37Speaker 1: Yeah, it wasn't. They didn't see him. Actually, this was
- 16:40Speaker 1: just in the Carmacks parking lot, so it's just going across.
- 16:43Speaker 1: They don't actually can't actually see the jeep in it,
- 16:45Speaker 1: but it's just the jeep was over there or where
- 16:48Speaker 1: they would he would have left from.
- 16:50Speaker 2: Yes, and they see him walking away from that general area.
- 16:54Speaker 2: Police didn't have any other camera angle showing him leaving
- 16:57Speaker 2: the jeep. They didn't show him coming in, leaving anything.
- 17:01Speaker 2: They don't know where he went next or anything like that.
- 17:04Speaker 2: They continue to ask around the neighborhood when they find
- 17:06Speaker 2: someone who says that they saw Adrian and a black
- 17:09Speaker 2: male running down the road late at night. It seemed
- 17:12Speaker 2: odd to them because Adrian was wearing a dress and
- 17:15Speaker 2: carrying her shoes, so it's not like they were out
- 17:17Speaker 2: there working out there we're doing a workout at four
- 17:20Speaker 2: o'clock in the morning.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Yeah it was. It was in the middle of the
- 17:23Speaker 1: night and she's running with her shoes in her hand
- 17:25Speaker 1: to wear her dress. So now they've got the the
- 17:30Speaker 1: the description of the person in the CarMax parking lot
- 17:33Speaker 1: of the running down. That's all they have is just
- 17:36Speaker 1: very general descriptions of people. So it's not their best
- 17:40Speaker 1: bet right now is the one walking in the Carmacks
- 17:42Speaker 1: parking lot, because why are you walking in a CarMax
- 17:44Speaker 1: parking lot at three thirty eight am, you know, four hours? No,
- 17:48Speaker 1: it's like, what are you doing? You're not looking for
- 17:51Speaker 1: that mini van like we were. We've got That's where
- 17:54Speaker 1: we got our minivan was CarMax. Because when you have
- 17:58Speaker 1: three small chill LDN and a car that really doesn't
- 18:01Speaker 1: fit all three.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Yes, I went through this last week with the suburban
- 18:04Speaker 2: and all.
- 18:05Speaker 1: No, I'm saying it's very difficult to go car searching.
- 18:08Speaker 1: And where we are is in a freaking you know,
- 18:12Speaker 1: cultural desert, not economic desert, though it's.
- 18:17Speaker 2: Not a cultural desert. There's lots of things to do here.
- 18:20Speaker 2: There's a theater down the road.
- 18:21Speaker 1: I'm sorry, a cultural wasteland.
- 18:24Speaker 2: Well, that would be the same thing.
- 18:26Speaker 1: Yeah, we are out here in the middle of nowhere,
- 18:28Speaker 1: so everything is limited and everything's more expensive because it's
- 18:32Speaker 1: takes so long to get anything else. So any of
- 18:34Speaker 1: the good cars, the good deals are gone.
- 18:37Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just like living in Hawaiian.
- 18:39Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just like living in Hawaii.
- 18:41Speaker 2: Stud hard to get things and they're more expensive.
- 18:44Speaker 1: Yes, yes, it's just a little bit different views, you know,
- 18:50Speaker 1: a little bit. Yeah. Anyway, so we used CarMax because
- 18:54Speaker 1: they'll ship if it's within a certain distance, they'll ship
- 18:57Speaker 1: a car from another CarMax and you can go test
- 19:00Speaker 1: drive it. Now. Now, don't get any ideas though we
- 19:03Speaker 1: didn't have a CarMax here though, we're not that upit.
- 19:06Speaker 2: Y up.
- 19:07Speaker 1: We had to drive an hour up to Lubbock, hour
- 19:10Speaker 1: and a half up to Lubbock, which does have a CarMax.
- 19:12Speaker 1: And then so they shipped this car from Dallas, Houston, Houston,
- 19:17Speaker 1: they shifted up there. I think, No, it was Dallas.
- 19:21Speaker 1: They shipped it from Dallas, which is five hours away. Yeah,
- 19:24Speaker 1: they shipped it here, it arrived, we drove went up there,
- 19:27Speaker 1: and then we had to make a decision if we
- 19:29Speaker 1: wanted it, and we bought it. That's that, and then
- 19:32Speaker 1: it got a hell damage a month or a week
- 19:34Speaker 1: or two late.
- 19:35Speaker 2: You told the exact same story last up.
- 19:37Speaker 1: No, I didn't. I was talking about how I was
- 19:40Speaker 1: talking about the differences between the mini vans. This is
- 19:43Speaker 1: how we got the Mini van and in the CarMax.
- 19:46Speaker 1: I know I didn't mention CarMax last week because we
- 19:48Speaker 1: didn't have a CarMax in the episode. We had a Walmart. Okay,
- 19:52Speaker 1: I'm sure I talked about a Walmart. You're wrong, But okay, whatever.
- 19:56Speaker 2: The reviews will tell us, all sure.
- 19:58Speaker 1: I'm sure Alice will let us.
- 19:59Speaker 2: Know, because God knows you won't go back and listen
- 20:01Speaker 2: to either.
- 20:02Speaker 1: I can't do that to myself, Stuart, I don't. I
- 20:06Speaker 1: don't have a high enough self esteem for that. All right,
- 20:09Speaker 1: So please get the video footage from Diamond Dolls. And
- 20:12Speaker 1: they were able to verify that. Adrian and Jay arrived
- 20:16Speaker 1: at ten thirty pm. Like Jay said, you know, everything's
- 20:19Speaker 1: the up and up. They didn't really suspect Jay, you know,
- 20:22Speaker 1: he wasn't. On the of course they had to question him,
- 20:25Speaker 1: but he wasn't. Nothing he did made them think that
- 20:29Speaker 1: he was, you know, the guy, so they are also
- 20:33Speaker 1: able to verify that. So whenever they went into the
- 20:36Speaker 1: strip club, they were all happy, laughing like everything was great,
- 20:40Speaker 1: and they were also able to verify that. He left
- 20:42Speaker 1: around three am alone. Soft, No, he left alone. No, Stuart, don't,
- 20:47Speaker 1: don't try to correct me, like you know this more
- 20:50Speaker 1: than I do. There's our neighbors and they're freaking god.
- 20:56Speaker 1: Why why are they like this?
- 20:57Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 20:58Speaker 1: Okay, So he leaves at three am to walk home
- 21:01Speaker 1: and they see him leaving on camera by himself. Now
- 21:05Speaker 1: they rewind back in around one thirty eight eight am,
- 21:09Speaker 1: they see Adrian leave the club. She has but she
- 21:12Speaker 1: has her shoes on because you know, the person said
- 21:14Speaker 1: they saw her running holding her shoes. Well, in this one,
- 21:18Speaker 1: she has her shoes on and she's walking out alone.
- 21:21Speaker 1: Doesn't seem rushed, doesn't seem fearful, just very relaxed, leaving
- 21:26Speaker 1: out of the establishment. Stew Why do I feel like
- 21:30Speaker 1: if it's if it's a strip clube, bunny, then call
- 21:32Speaker 1: it an establishment.
- 21:34Speaker 2: Let's say the club the clurb in a clurb.
- 21:38Speaker 1: We all, fam, you still don't know what that is.
- 21:42Speaker 2: I don't know what that is.
- 21:43Speaker 1: I said it the clurb, We all.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Fam, I have no clue. Just moving, are you racist?
- 21:50Speaker 2: Shut up and read on?
- 21:52Speaker 1: Okay, So just four seconds, like literally right after she
- 21:57Speaker 1: leaves the the establishment, just four seconds later, they see
- 22:01Speaker 1: a man leave behind Adrian and he starts running after her.
- 22:04Speaker 1: Because they got it. They got a door camera that
- 22:06Speaker 1: comes in and then they got the one out in
- 22:08Speaker 1: the parking lot, so they see him approach her in
- 22:11Speaker 1: that parking lot. He hands her like a black sweater
- 22:15Speaker 1: or shawl or something that she had left behind, and
- 22:18Speaker 1: they converse a little bit. And so this is completely normal.
- 22:23Speaker 1: Like you they're thinking, Okay, she left her sweater, he's
- 22:26Speaker 1: running it out to her, so normally you would think.
- 22:28Speaker 1: So the next thing you would expect was he goes
- 22:30Speaker 1: back into the establishment, the establishment, and she continues on
- 22:36Speaker 1: her way. However, they both turn in the direction of
- 22:39Speaker 1: her town home and they start walking. So they get
- 22:44Speaker 1: with Jay and they show him this footage and they
- 22:48Speaker 1: do confirm with him that the man following her in
- 22:51Speaker 1: the parking lot was the man sitting with them at
- 22:55Speaker 1: the establishment at the bar. Now, however, they compare the
- 23:00Speaker 1: video footage of the man in the CarMax parking lot,
- 23:03Speaker 1: and it's not the same man. This is that was
- 23:05Speaker 1: just some random guy that almost got in trouble because
- 23:08Speaker 1: he's walking in a CarMax. I mean that, I mean
- 23:12Speaker 1: I could see how like that would be their number
- 23:15Speaker 1: one suspect. So if they didn't have this video footage,
- 23:17Speaker 1: that poor man would have had his like stuff blasted
- 23:19Speaker 1: all over there.
- 23:20Speaker 2: Yes, would have been flipped upside down. So I figured
- 23:24Speaker 2: out it was not like I'm.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Never walking in a CarMax party at three point thirty
- 23:28Speaker 1: in the morning. You know what they say, only hospital
- 23:32Speaker 1: gels and legs are open past you just go home.
- 23:38Speaker 2: Why would you go home if there's a hospital open?
- 23:43Speaker 1: All right, So the man in the CarMax parking lot
- 23:46Speaker 1: is eliminated as a suspect, and the person who moved
- 23:51Speaker 1: her jeep must have walked in a different direction, did
- 23:54Speaker 1: not walk towards the CarMax, must have headed off where
- 23:56Speaker 1: there weren't any cameras.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Police received the forensics from the town home and they
- 24:02Speaker 2: found DNA on the sheets near where it was cut
- 24:05Speaker 2: out on Adrian's hands and on her body.
- 24:09Speaker 1: Yeah, the person who cut out the killer who cut
- 24:12Speaker 1: out the the you know portion of the sheets as
- 24:16Speaker 1: an idiot, like they were.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Going to get why would you cut the sheet and
- 24:20Speaker 2: just take taking the whole thing off?
- 24:21Speaker 1: I know, it was just like stupid idiot.
- 24:25Speaker 2: They run the DNA through the data base and they
- 24:27Speaker 2: wait for results. Meanwhile, they continue to track down the
- 24:31Speaker 2: movements of the man that night. He arrived at the
- 24:34Speaker 2: club at around five forty five, and they were able
- 24:38Speaker 2: to get a pretty good video of his face.
- 24:39Speaker 1: Yeah, because this was now during at that time, it
- 24:42Speaker 1: was daylight hours, they had to go back pretty far
- 24:44Speaker 1: because I mean that's pretty early. I feel like to
- 24:47Speaker 1: be at the establishment stew five.
- 24:51Speaker 2: It all depends.
- 24:52Speaker 1: They're not even dancing at that time, are they?
- 24:54Speaker 2: Yeah, they are, They're dancing at lunchtime. Did I tell
- 24:57Speaker 2: you about but she don't want to be there for
- 24:58Speaker 2: the lunch crew? Did I tell you.
- 25:01Speaker 1: About the time that our car broke down and that
- 25:03Speaker 1: we had to go into a strip club to get
- 25:05Speaker 1: a help. And I was a little I was a
- 25:07Speaker 1: little girl.
- 25:08Speaker 2: I'm sure you did.
- 25:10Speaker 1: We had gone to a softball tournament and our car
- 25:14Speaker 1: broke down and the only thing close by was the
- 25:16Speaker 1: Strip club, but it was daytime hours and they only
- 25:19Speaker 1: operated at night, so it was closed. But I remember
- 25:22Speaker 1: the guy he let he you know, it was like
- 25:24Speaker 1: my dad and my mommy. You know, they're like super
- 25:27Speaker 1: super religious, my dad especially anyway, so we go in
- 25:32Speaker 1: here and they were like, oh, yeah, you guys could
- 25:34Speaker 1: come around this way. And then I remember him going
- 25:36Speaker 1: in the room that they had us in and there
- 25:38Speaker 1: was like pictures of naked women. So it's like turn
- 25:41Speaker 1: her around the pictures because you know, for me being
- 25:44Speaker 1: in there was like I mean I was probably like
- 25:47Speaker 1: ten or eleven or something like that. I still remember
- 25:50Speaker 1: the whole thing. And then the other time we ran
- 25:53Speaker 1: into a sketchy situation was, uh so my grandpa worked
- 25:58Speaker 1: for the Ford glass Plant, so like the Ford vehicles,
- 26:02Speaker 1: and he used to make glass. He worked at the
- 26:05Speaker 1: glass plant. He was like really good at making glass,
- 26:07Speaker 1: and so he the company Ford would give him these
- 26:10Speaker 1: like reward points, and so we got we were we
- 26:14Speaker 1: were pretty broke growing up, like we we we was
- 26:17Speaker 1: broke sto okay anyway, so he had all these points
- 26:21Speaker 1: to go to this like super fancy hotel in New Orleans,
- 26:25Speaker 1: like the I can't the Continental or something like that
- 26:28Speaker 1: super fancy hotel. So here we are, you know, the
- 26:31Speaker 1: Beverly Hillbillies rolling up in our on our old blue suburban.
- 26:37Speaker 1: My mom of course packed the cooler, so we're bringing
- 26:39Speaker 1: the cooler up. There's like doormen and everything like this
- 26:42Speaker 1: is a fancy They're like, would you like would you
- 26:47Speaker 1: like valet parking? No?
- 26:49Speaker 2: No, no no.
- 26:50Speaker 1: So we're rolling up and it's like that that I
- 26:52Speaker 1: still remember. The steps were like red and they were
- 26:55Speaker 1: like the felt or felt not velvet or whatever. And
- 26:58Speaker 1: we're rolling up in our little igle cooler with our stuff. Anyways,
- 27:02Speaker 1: that's not the point. That's we can go on line.
- 27:05Speaker 2: I don't know. I don't know why you don't walk
- 27:06Speaker 2: like watching the bevery Hillbilly is when it seems like
- 27:09Speaker 2: you lived that life. Get some pie some steve. Yeah.
- 27:12Speaker 1: So anyways, the whole point was this. So we went
- 27:15Speaker 1: to New Orleans. So again my parents were my dad
- 27:18Speaker 1: was super religious, my mom you know Christian everything that
- 27:21Speaker 1: we go walk down Bourbon Street and my parents didn't
- 27:25Speaker 1: really understand I guess like Bourbon Street and so we
- 27:28Speaker 1: were walking by and we were my brothers were like looking,
- 27:32Speaker 1: we were looking at this like fish tank or whatever,
- 27:35Speaker 1: and my mom's like, oh cool, it's like a fish tank.
- 27:37Speaker 1: And then this lady like swims by and she's topless,
- 27:39Speaker 1: she's a topless mermaid, you know, at the and they're like,
- 27:44Speaker 1: oh god it. So we had to get off three. Anyways,
- 27:46Speaker 1: So those were my two young interactions with strip clubs.
- 27:52Speaker 1: I don't think I had anymore until you were all
- 27:56Speaker 1: back to New Orleans.
- 27:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Anyways, okay, so where.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Where was I that he was there at the strip
- 28:01Speaker 2: club them?
- 28:04Speaker 1: Because you said it wasn't open at that time, and
- 28:07Speaker 1: I was trying to tell you that some of them
- 28:09Speaker 1: are closed at that time.
- 28:10Speaker 2: I'm telling you it could have been opened at that time. Okay, anyway,
- 28:13Speaker 2: been opened at lunch. They have a lot of I.
- 28:16Speaker 1: Feel like they probably closed between like two and two
- 28:19Speaker 1: and six or whatever, like some restaurants, you know, to
- 28:22Speaker 1: clean up. Yeah. Ew the Diamond Dolls. I did look
- 28:26Speaker 1: at their website. They do have those rooms, yeah, for
- 28:30Speaker 1: private They said contact them for a private thing, but
- 28:33Speaker 1: I did.
- 28:34Speaker 2: There is no contact allowed in the in the champagne room.
- 28:37Speaker 1: Yeah, they were not accepting their form that they were
- 28:41Speaker 1: using though to accept applications had been had reached the
- 28:44Speaker 1: max quota and they hadn't reset it. So I don't
- 28:46Speaker 1: know if they're not looking for girls right now or
- 28:48Speaker 1: what's going on? Call to find out, all right, So
- 28:52Speaker 1: they were able to find him at five forty five, again,
- 28:54Speaker 1: pretty good video of him coming in. Was it you were?
- 29:00Speaker 1: Are you telling this part?
- 29:02Speaker 2: Or was I you were? No? You were this? Was you?
- 29:06Speaker 1: Okay, finish, finish up, but not like in the.
- 29:12Speaker 2: And then that somebody's gonna have to since.
- 29:15Speaker 1: Okay, finish, finish, finish.
- 29:16Speaker 2: They also found out that he had arrived by cab,
- 29:19Speaker 2: which would allow them to identify him. Through the cab company,
- 29:23Speaker 2: they were able to get his phone number and track
- 29:25Speaker 2: it back to a Thomas Frederick. They pull his ID
- 29:30Speaker 2: and it looks like the person in the video. He
- 29:32Speaker 2: is not, however, in the database for DNA. So now
- 29:36Speaker 2: they're going to have to get a sample the old
- 29:38Speaker 2: fashioned way, some old dumb shoe detective work.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Yes, So they begin surveillance of Thomas and are waiting
- 29:45Speaker 1: to get like a cigarette butt or a cup he
- 29:47Speaker 1: drinks from. But they need to be on the slide
- 29:50Speaker 1: because they really have nothing on him. I mean, he
- 29:54Speaker 1: was the last one seen with her from the video footage.
- 29:56Speaker 1: But other than that, you we don't know anything.
- 30:00Speaker 2: No, you can't. You can't go pick him up and
- 30:02Speaker 2: spook him because then he might leave, ye, So you got.
- 30:04Speaker 1: To get the You gotta do this. So this took
- 30:09Speaker 1: a while, but they were finally able to get a
- 30:11Speaker 1: cigarette butt that he threw on the ground. They run
- 30:14Speaker 1: the DNA sample of Thomas against the DNA profile from
- 30:17Speaker 1: Adrian's apartment. Now the DNA profile Stue is a match
- 30:23Speaker 1: stop it, so they are now able to make an
- 30:26Speaker 1: arrest for Adrian's murder. Now Thomas was confronted, so they
- 30:30Speaker 1: bring him in. He is confronted with the picture of Adrian,
- 30:34Speaker 1: and police you know, asked him about their interactions that night,
- 30:38Speaker 1: and he said that she bought him some drinks, which
- 30:41Speaker 1: Jay did not mention that at all, so they know
- 30:43Speaker 1: he's like lying. Yeah, he said they dance, which Jay
- 30:47Speaker 1: did not say. He was just like a random guy
- 30:50Speaker 1: at the bar, like this was not some big you know,
- 30:53Speaker 1: them getting to know and be like, wow, we're going
- 30:55Speaker 1: to be friends from now on. He said, they dance
- 30:58Speaker 1: and then she bought him some more drinks and then
- 31:01Speaker 1: he left the club and went to work. And they're like,
- 31:03Speaker 1: wait a minute, wait a minute, you just left the
- 31:06Speaker 1: club and went straight to work after being out all
- 31:09Speaker 1: night and he drinking. Yeah, and he said, I think
- 31:12Speaker 1: he worked in construction.
- 31:15Speaker 2: You can. You can go to work drunk and in construction.
- 31:18Speaker 1: Yes, I used to work for the state or not
- 31:21Speaker 1: this state, another state for and that we had some
- 31:25Speaker 1: so we had some sketch some some.
- 31:28Speaker 2: People that like to imbibe their office. But they weren't
- 31:30Speaker 2: out there actually doing dangerous work, were they.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Yes, Oh Jesus, oh, let me tell you about the time.
- 31:35Speaker 1: The one guy was like, because we would, they would
- 31:38Speaker 1: just the state Louisiana would just contract all this stuff out.
- 31:40Speaker 1: So it was like the lowest bidder type situations, you know.
- 31:44Speaker 1: And we had this one guy and he was so stupid.
- 31:46Speaker 1: I caught him. He was like supposed to be spray
- 31:48Speaker 1: painting the like the sidewalk orange for like marking it
- 31:52Speaker 1: for construction or whatever, and he had the paint cander
- 31:56Speaker 1: in the wrong way and I saw him. I caught him.
- 31:58Speaker 1: I saw him, and he was actually spraying the car.
- 32:00Speaker 1: It was a future roundabout and he's just.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Just just a bright orange line.
- 32:08Speaker 1: Across this white car.
- 32:11Speaker 2: Stop.
- 32:13Speaker 1: Yeah. Yeah, anyways, we used to. I used to go
- 32:18Speaker 1: to lunch with them sometimes and we'd always go to
- 32:20Speaker 1: they always would go to, uh, the Tilted Kilt, So
- 32:24Speaker 1: I'd go with them there.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Well they got some good food there.
- 32:27Speaker 1: Yeah, they at least had some good food. It did
- 32:29Speaker 1: go out of business though, Okay, well the Tilted Killed
- 32:33Speaker 1: in Lafayette.
- 32:34Speaker 2: No, that's still in business.
- 32:35Speaker 1: No it's not.
- 32:36Speaker 2: It was, No, it's not.
- 32:38Speaker 1: It was the Tilted Kilt.
- 32:40Speaker 2: No, you're thinking of the Twin Peaks.
- 32:42Speaker 1: Tilted Kilt naturally did not have good food, and the
- 32:46Speaker 1: girls weren't that great either, So I mean it was
- 32:48Speaker 1: a lose lose situation.
- 32:49Speaker 2: I think of that Twin Peaks. They got that board, yeah,
- 32:53Speaker 2: lumberjack board or what I call it.
- 32:55Speaker 1: Yeah, Twin Peaks is pretty good.
- 32:58Speaker 2: Yeah. Tilted Kill all right, terrible.
- 33:00Speaker 1: So so those were my construction days. Like to know
- 33:05Speaker 1: why more about my work history, just like Thomas yep.
- 33:09Speaker 1: Uh So he's like, yeah, I go, I go to
- 33:11Speaker 1: work straight from the club all the time. And I
- 33:13Speaker 1: actually believe him. I probably he probably does go into work,
- 33:16Speaker 1: you know, hungover and stuff like that, or still slightly
- 33:20Speaker 1: slightly drunk. So this is when they know he's lying.
- 33:25Speaker 1: So they show him the security footage from that night
- 33:27Speaker 1: and he said that he did walk so he's changed.
- 33:29Speaker 1: He's like, okay, okay, I did walk out with her,
- 33:32Speaker 1: but after they went around the corner off the camera,
- 33:35Speaker 1: they of course went separate ways, you know, they did
- 33:37Speaker 1: not of course, yes, So they asked if he had
- 33:41Speaker 1: been to her house and he says that he So
- 33:44Speaker 1: he's like, okay, actually, I did go to our house.
- 33:47Speaker 1: So as they're confronting him, he's like, okay, yeah, I
- 33:50Speaker 1: did do that. Yeah, we actually didn't just part at
- 33:52Speaker 1: the corner, and so he says, yeah, I did go
- 33:54Speaker 1: to our house. But he just doesn't remember, he said,
- 33:56Speaker 1: when he drinks, he just doesn't know. He just doesn't
- 33:59Speaker 1: know what he does. And so they tell him that
- 34:01Speaker 1: someone saw him running after her, and he says that
- 34:04Speaker 1: they were just running together, so casual, you know. They
- 34:08Speaker 1: finally tell him that they know he killed her and
- 34:10Speaker 1: that they have his DNA and they know what happened,
- 34:15Speaker 1: and so he says, so he's like, okay, I need
- 34:18Speaker 1: to come up with the story for this. So he
- 34:19Speaker 1: says that he went to her apartment. She threw up, okay,
- 34:23Speaker 1: and then they had sex wow, and then all hell
- 34:26Speaker 1: broke loose, he said. So he said that she went
- 34:29Speaker 1: and got a knife and then swung at him, and
- 34:32Speaker 1: that's when he got defensive and plunged the knife into her.
- 34:35Speaker 1: So that's what happened. So he was on the defense.
- 34:38Speaker 1: This was her fault.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Well that's what it sounds like according to his story.
- 34:42Speaker 1: Yeah, So he basically he just kept getting caught in
- 34:45Speaker 1: lies and as they confronted him, he just was trying
- 34:47Speaker 1: to change the story on the spot. And this is
- 34:50Speaker 1: where he landed that she tried to attack him.
- 34:53Speaker 2: So she threw up, They had consensual sex, and then
- 34:57Speaker 2: they got in a knife.
- 34:58Speaker 1: Fight and he stabbed her. Yeah that's what he's that's
- 35:01Speaker 1: what he's going to go with.
- 35:02Speaker 2: The jury's really going to love her in this one. Yeah,
- 35:04Speaker 2: police charge him with first degree murder, and in twenty
- 35:08Speaker 2: fourteen he stands trial. The prosecution believes that he followed
- 35:12Speaker 2: her home and she tried to run ahead.
- 35:15Speaker 1: Yeah, she probably, I think she They think she.
- 35:18Speaker 2: Like chatted him up for a little while.
- 35:19Speaker 1: But it was like, you know, one of those things
- 35:21Speaker 1: like maybef I'm he's you know, because it was at
- 35:24Speaker 1: that point where she either had to make the decision
- 35:27Speaker 1: to keep walking home or go back into the club
- 35:32Speaker 1: with the establishments do and go find Jay. And unfortunately,
- 35:35Speaker 1: she maybe just thought he was just going to be
- 35:39Speaker 1: you know, she would have never thought he would take
- 35:41Speaker 1: go to this level. So she probably thought, oh, he's
- 35:44Speaker 1: just trying to flirsh me. I'll just tell him, you know,
- 35:46Speaker 1: not right now, and he'll leave me alone. And then
- 35:49Speaker 1: it slowly real she probably realized, like, this is not
- 35:51Speaker 1: he's not leaving me alone. I should have went back
- 35:53Speaker 1: into that, went back in there and got Jay.
- 35:56Speaker 2: He did make it into her home, and police believe
- 35:59Speaker 2: that she may have tried to be nice to him
- 36:01Speaker 2: to see if he would leave.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Yeah, because at this point they're just guessing, but they
- 36:04Speaker 1: do know there was no forced entry, so they're not
- 36:06Speaker 1: really sure what happened, but they know she wasn't come.
- 36:11Speaker 1: They know there was no consensual sex or anything like that.
- 36:13Speaker 1: It was she was maybe just let him in her
- 36:16Speaker 1: house because maybe he might have been closed and forced
- 36:20Speaker 1: his way in. They just don't know.
- 36:23Speaker 2: They believe that he grabbed a knife, forced himself upon
- 36:26Speaker 2: her in the bedroom, and then he makes her go
- 36:29Speaker 2: to the bathroom to get cleaned up so that there's
- 36:31Speaker 2: no DNA evidence basically.
- 36:33Speaker 1: Yeah, because he did cut the sheet so that they're
- 36:36Speaker 1: thinking that was his, that he was reasoning behind all.
- 36:38Speaker 2: Manning this, and something definitely takes a turn for the
- 36:43Speaker 2: worse in the bathroom because he stabs her in there.
- 36:46Speaker 2: I don't know if he was going to have her
- 36:47Speaker 2: get cleaned up and stab her regardless, or something else
- 36:51Speaker 2: happened that made him stab her. He then takes her vehicle,
- 36:55Speaker 2: parks it out by the CarMax, and flees. He is
- 36:58Speaker 2: found guilty of first degree murder and one count of
- 37:01Speaker 2: grand theft auto.
- 37:02Speaker 1: They did get him on the grand theft autos too.
- 37:04Speaker 2: Well, you got to add them yours if you can.
- 37:07Speaker 2: I mean, it's nice when they add him consecutively and
- 37:09Speaker 2: not concurrently. Yeah, it's like, if you're going to add
- 37:12Speaker 2: it concurrently, why would you even charge him with the
- 37:14Speaker 2: grand theft auto.
- 37:15Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:16Speaker 2: They were unable to get him on the count of
- 37:19Speaker 2: sexual battery due to lack of evidence. He was sentenced
- 37:23Speaker 2: to life without parole.
- 37:25Speaker 1: Yeah. I don't know what the lack of evidence. I
- 37:27Speaker 1: don't know if it's because he did have her cleanup
- 37:29Speaker 1: or what was going on. But they were able to
- 37:32Speaker 1: at least get him in with life without parole. So
- 37:35Speaker 1: he's he's gone forever. He is in Florida, so he
- 37:38Speaker 1: will not be getting out. They said, when you get
- 37:41Speaker 1: life without parole there, it's life without parol, life without parole.
- 37:45Speaker 2: Yeah, that's the state that is not No federal whatever
- 37:49Speaker 2: is going to get you off on that.
- 37:50Speaker 1: Yep, all right, stud that is our case for this week.
- 37:55Speaker 2: Mm hmm.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Again, we may not be around for the next two weeks,
- 37:59Speaker 1: so blame, Stew.
- 38:02Speaker 2: Blame, that's what everybody always does.
- 38:04Speaker 1: Yes, we are working on something for Patreon, I promise.
- 38:08Speaker 1: And then Stew, do you have a y'all need Jesus
- 38:12Speaker 1: of course not. Yes, this is what Alice said we
- 38:15Speaker 1: should be doing. They said that we should be doing
- 38:19Speaker 1: stories about maybe people tackling alligators or something. But we
- 38:25Speaker 1: do that as well. But we just like to we
- 38:29Speaker 1: just like to keep it light. You know, it's a
- 38:31Speaker 1: heavy subject. Okay, it's a heavy subject. It can be, yes,
- 38:36Speaker 1: but yes, murder can be a heavy subject.
- 38:39Speaker 2: Stu.
- 38:40Speaker 1: That's why we don't do anything about children. I'm just
- 38:43Speaker 1: not going to do it.
- 38:44Speaker 2: It's just not going to happen, you know, although you didn't.
- 38:47Speaker 2: You didn't always have that rule.
- 38:49Speaker 1: No, I didn't always have that rule, but now that
- 38:50Speaker 1: I have children, No, well, I've just been like that,
- 38:55Speaker 1: or do you have your y'all need Jesus? Or do
- 38:57Speaker 1: you need it to kill some time? Probably bad word?
- 39:01Speaker 2: I have phrasing way to go.
- 39:04Speaker 1: Yeah, do you have it ready? Or no? No? Okay? Anyway,
- 39:08Speaker 1: So I've been like, so I'm on the ticker talks
- 39:11Speaker 1: or whatever, and I've just been down a rabbit hole
- 39:16Speaker 1: with that. I don't know if anyone else saw that
- 39:18Speaker 1: the three year old that drowned that the girl has
- 39:21Speaker 1: like millions of followers on TikTok anyways. So it's just
- 39:26Speaker 1: been like depressing, you know, because we have almost our
- 39:30Speaker 1: son will be three years old next month, and then
- 39:32Speaker 1: we have a four year old, and then we have
- 39:36Speaker 1: a fifteen month old, and then the story about the
- 39:41Speaker 1: daycare with the three year old is traumatizing. I know,
- 39:46Speaker 1: it's just like super depressing. So this is why we
- 39:49Speaker 1: don't do anything about children, because it's just like so
- 39:52Speaker 1: depressing to think about down I know, is this somber
- 39:58Speaker 1: enough for you, Alice? Anyway? So yeah, I've been on
- 40:02Speaker 1: the and then like this July thirteenth date, I watched
- 40:06Speaker 1: another this. So because of the three year old that
- 40:10Speaker 1: drowned in the pool, there's been a lot of talk
- 40:13Speaker 1: about pool safety because that's actually the number one accidental
- 40:19Speaker 1: way that children one to four die is drowning. And
- 40:23Speaker 1: so I've just been like, we have a pool, and
- 40:26Speaker 1: so immediately when we moved in, there was nothing. There
- 40:29Speaker 1: was no barrier between like if they were to get
- 40:32Speaker 1: out the door. So that's why we immediately built the
- 40:35Speaker 1: screened in porch so that if they ever got out
- 40:37Speaker 1: the back door, there'd be another barrier. And then Stu
- 40:40Speaker 1: is now installing another barrier because I'm paranoid now they're.
- 40:47Speaker 2: The next one.
- 40:49Speaker 1: Yeah, so we just want to make sure that there's
- 40:51Speaker 1: three barriers in place to get the pool. They're also
- 40:53Speaker 1: going to swim lessons. They we have alarms. We have
- 40:57Speaker 1: a different alarm on the back door so that if
- 41:00Speaker 1: it opens, were there. We put the extra lock on
- 41:04Speaker 1: the top. And then Stu's dad is coming to stay
- 41:08Speaker 1: while he's because he has when he has the eye surgery,
- 41:11Speaker 1: he can't actually pick up anything over ten pounds. Well,
- 41:15Speaker 1: the baby weighs twenty pounds, So his dad's coming to
- 41:18Speaker 1: stay with us, so that because it's for two weeks,
- 41:21Speaker 1: he can't pick anything up. So his Dad's going to say, Well,
- 41:24Speaker 1: then I'm paranoid because most of the time I read
- 41:26Speaker 1: these stories, it's like the grandparents or someone that's not
- 41:28Speaker 1: familiar with like that's like super vigilant on the pool
- 41:32Speaker 1: comes out and leaves a door. So now Stu's installing
- 41:35Speaker 1: a lock with a pass code that you literally cannot
- 41:37Speaker 1: go out past the screened in porch unless you have
- 41:41Speaker 1: the code, and only myself and him will have the code.
- 41:45Speaker 1: So I'm just like paranoid as I should be, Stu,
- 41:50Speaker 1: as I should be.
- 41:51Speaker 2: Yes, you got to be on your toes.
- 41:53Speaker 1: Yes, yeah, you got to be their little tricky little things.
- 41:55Speaker 1: They're always trying.
- 41:56Speaker 2: To get you every damn day. They're always trying to
- 41:58Speaker 2: find a new inventive wedding the emergency room.
- 42:01Speaker 1: Yes, so did you find the y'all need Jesus.
- 42:04Speaker 2: To I've had one for days.
- 42:07Speaker 1: Okay, well do you have it pulled up? Because I'm
- 42:09Speaker 1: still like just trying.
- 42:10Speaker 2: To depress everybody about pool safety. You're depressing everybody, including me.
- 42:17Speaker 1: I'm trying to what if someone hasn't heard these things,
- 42:19Speaker 1: so they say, some of the things you should do
- 42:21Speaker 1: is obviously have a barrier to the pool. You don't
- 42:24Speaker 1: shouldn't just have your uh you know, you can't just
- 42:28Speaker 1: have like your back door and be like, oh, yeah,
- 42:30Speaker 1: we have a dead bolt, it's fine or whatever. No,
- 42:32Speaker 1: you need to have a second barrier, whether it be
- 42:33Speaker 1: a fence around the pool or something like. We built
- 42:37Speaker 1: the screened in port and then there's a second barrier.
- 42:39Speaker 1: We're putting a third barrier. And by no means am
- 42:44Speaker 1: I saying that we're perfect or whatever, you know, But
- 42:46Speaker 1: I'm just saying what perfect. I'm just saying we do.
- 42:49Speaker 1: We added the additional alarm on the back door, the
- 42:54Speaker 1: additional lock that's higher up, the additional padlock that's going
- 43:00Speaker 1: to go on the screened in porch for whenever we
- 43:03Speaker 1: have guests over, so they don't go out there and
- 43:05Speaker 1: accidentally leave something open. They're in swim lessons. They I've
- 43:12Speaker 1: I've terrified our four year old about the pool, though she's.
- 43:14Speaker 2: Like, well, you terrified about storms too. That's why I
- 43:17Speaker 2: had to go on there for the storm. I know.
- 43:19Speaker 2: I'm like I have to.
- 43:20Speaker 1: I'm a real I'm a worry wartz. I'm like, I'm
- 43:23Speaker 1: I don't I don't sugarcoat the things I tell them.
- 43:25Speaker 1: If you're if you fall in the pool and we're
- 43:27Speaker 1: not here and you don't have any your any floaties
- 43:30Speaker 1: or anything on like that, you are going to sink
- 43:32Speaker 1: to the bottom and you're going to die. And like,
- 43:34Speaker 1: I don't know if that's harsh, but she is terrified
- 43:37Speaker 1: of going into the pool. And yes, I made the
- 43:40Speaker 1: mistake of the stupid I didn't realize that the the
- 43:44Speaker 1: you know, they say now the puddle jumpers are a mistake.
- 43:46Speaker 1: So we're getting out of those. So we've been practicing swimming.
- 43:50Speaker 1: But I do make sure and take them off it
- 43:51Speaker 1: so they realize that if they do not have them on,
- 43:53Speaker 1: they are going to sink to the bottom of the pool.
- 43:56Speaker 1: I did not let them sink to the bottom. I'm
- 43:57Speaker 1: just saying that they're aware, and the four year old's
- 44:00Speaker 1: definitely aware. I've probably been a little too harsh about
- 44:03Speaker 1: the whole situation, but I want her to be taken seriously,
- 44:06Speaker 1: all right, So I've dug myself enough holes. I'm sure
- 44:09Speaker 1: people will be writing me tips and you're telling me
- 44:14Speaker 1: I don't know. People will probably be writing and tell
- 44:15Speaker 1: me how terrible a mother I am because I let
- 44:17Speaker 1: them use the puddle jumpers. I will not make the
- 44:19Speaker 1: miss I already told you the baby is not doing
- 44:21Speaker 1: anything like that because I made that mistake with those two.
- 44:24Speaker 1: And now they want them all the time. So now
- 44:27Speaker 1: we've had to We're having to get them comfortable without them. Yes,
- 44:32Speaker 1: but they're going to swim lessons, so somebody else should
- 44:35Speaker 1: be able to They listened so much better to other people. Yes,
- 44:41Speaker 1: all right, send your hate mil to stew.
- 44:43Speaker 2: Yes please, I need more YEP coming to us from
- 44:47Speaker 2: kla Q. The Q Rocks el Paso's best rock. Not Florida,
- 44:54Speaker 2: not Florida. Is this the Dumbest Criminal in Texas? This
- 44:58Speaker 2: is by dub A G.
- 45:00Speaker 1: Definitely not Florida, published.
- 45:02Speaker 2: May nine, twenty five. The Dumbest Criminal in Texas Award
- 45:05Speaker 2: for twenty twenty five may have already been awarded. If
- 45:10Speaker 2: this guy isn't the dumbest one, he's the absolute unluckiest one.
- 45:14Speaker 2: I'm not a master criminal or anything, but like most
- 45:17Speaker 2: Texas residents with a taste for the I don't know
- 45:21Speaker 2: what the mada is. I keep my eyes open and
- 45:24Speaker 2: I can spot unmarked police car from a mile away. Seriously,
- 45:29Speaker 2: they are generally not that hard to spot if you
- 45:32Speaker 2: know what to look for.
- 45:33Speaker 1: What are you talking about?
- 45:34Speaker 2: This is what the guy is writing in his article, clearly.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Where he's working for El Paso.
- 45:40Speaker 2: Yeah, and thought I thought Midland was bad. I really
- 45:43Speaker 2: don't want to be. I guess if you're in al Paso.
- 45:46Speaker 2: Though you're on IE to ten, you can make a
- 45:48Speaker 2: quick getaway.
- 45:48Speaker 1: East or west, you're still out in the middle of BFE. Yeah.
- 45:54Speaker 2: Clearly this guy didn't know what to look for. Undercover
- 45:57Speaker 2: cops in Lake Way, Texas, were on a steakout hoping
- 46:00Speaker 2: to catch a car thief. Cameras with automated license plate
- 46:05Speaker 2: recognition abilities noted a stolen car had been abandoned near
- 46:09Speaker 2: downtown Austin. I don't know where we get Austin, and
- 46:13Speaker 2: they'l passo from and the popo were, oh because the
- 46:17Speaker 2: radio stations and i'll passo car. Thief is in Austin.
- 46:22Speaker 2: I guess Lakeway's in Austin, I guess. And the popo
- 46:26Speaker 2: were trying to find the thief. How did the police
- 46:28Speaker 2: catch the thief? They found him or shall we say
- 46:32Speaker 2: he found them? When he tried to steal their unmarked
- 46:36Speaker 2: police car, not realizing that it was a cop car
- 46:41Speaker 2: and also filled with cops. No less, he made an
- 46:45Speaker 2: ill fated attempt to jack the car. Realizing is a mistake,
- 46:49Speaker 2: he tried to make a run for it, but that
- 46:50Speaker 2: didn't go well. The police caught him, and you'll love
- 46:55Speaker 2: this Carol, They discovered that he had another stolen car
- 47:00Speaker 2: in his possession at the time that they busted him.
- 47:03Speaker 2: So guy in a in a stolen well because the
- 47:08Speaker 2: car thiefs in a stolen car going to uh steal
- 47:12Speaker 2: another car which happened to be an unmarked police car
- 47:16Speaker 2: full of cops.
- 47:18Speaker 1: Okay, I thought you were really gonna say something that
- 47:20Speaker 1: really pertained to me, Like he had a sewing machine
- 47:22Speaker 1: in the backseat or.
- 47:23Speaker 2: Something, and there was a brand new Singer sewing machine
- 47:27Speaker 2: in the in the.
- 47:27Speaker 1: Trophy stolen fils.
- 47:31Speaker 2: Yes, well, this story goes on. It says other stupid
- 47:36Speaker 2: Texas criminals.
- 47:37Speaker 1: Let's save those for a rainy days too. I got
- 47:39Speaker 1: to get to ba.
- 47:39Speaker 2: Well, these are like two sentences. A Texas bank robber
- 47:44Speaker 2: honored the teller's request to show his ID before she
- 47:47Speaker 2: could give him any Okay, tad ah Way tad insult
- 47:54Speaker 2: the injury. He was trying to escape and he grabbed
- 47:57Speaker 2: a woman holding a baby to he uses a high
- 48:00Speaker 2: stitch and she kicked his ass.
- 48:04Speaker 1: While holding the baby.
- 48:05Speaker 2: While holding the bit. A thief in Houston left his
- 48:08Speaker 2: cell phone and a traffic ticket with his name on
- 48:11Speaker 2: it at the scene of a robbery he had just committed.
- 48:15Speaker 2: So there's plenty of stupid criminals out there. Yes, my
- 48:21Speaker 2: usual little honey hole didn't have anything news where I
- 48:25Speaker 2: get all my dumb criminal news. That didn't have it
- 48:32Speaker 2: sounds gross, uh huh, kind of like a honeypot.
- 48:36Speaker 1: Honey pot, what is that.
- 48:40Speaker 2: Like?
- 48:40Speaker 1: Poo bear?
- 48:41Speaker 2: No, poo bear, I got a bee. Well that's what
- 48:46Speaker 2: they call the female spies, huh, intelligence gathering officers who
- 48:55Speaker 2: happened to be female from let say, in the Cold War,
- 48:58Speaker 2: the Kremlin, they would send these female spies to seduce, oh,
- 49:02Speaker 2: to get information.
- 49:03Speaker 1: Yes, I'm sure they're.
- 49:04Speaker 2: Still doing that. Honey pots. They're Yes, they do, and
- 49:08Speaker 2: they're still called honeypots.
- 49:09Speaker 1: And the China sends them, yeah, other foreign adversaries. Yes,
- 49:15Speaker 1: we're still using the age old trick, which is a
- 49:20Speaker 1: good looking woman.
- 49:22Speaker 2: I mean, the US government used to send me to
- 49:24Speaker 2: countries together information and such the manner as.
- 49:26Speaker 1: Well, yeah, I don't think so what all right? Well okay,
- 49:35Speaker 1: so on that note, we're done.
- 49:38Speaker 2: So yeah, all right, that is terrible. Why are you
- 49:43Speaker 2: just rambling.
- 49:44Speaker 1: Because I'm tired. It's ten twenty at night. I understand
- 49:46Speaker 1: that that's not that late, but it is for me,
- 49:50Speaker 1: So I'm going to go to sleep. Actually I'm not.
- 49:53Speaker 1: I got to put this out because I told everybody
- 49:55Speaker 1: i'd get it out by tonight. So here we are.
- 49:58Speaker 2: Look at that. We're early tonight though we are usually
- 50:00Speaker 2: like it's eleven fifty nine when you're getting it out.
- 50:02Speaker 1: Yep, okay, so Patreon check us out. Thank you everybody.
- 50:09Speaker 1: I would also like to say that Alicis said. Alice
- 50:11Speaker 1: said that we were to make a to make a buck?
- 50:14Speaker 1: Is you wanted to make.
- 50:17Speaker 2: Right now?
- 50:18Speaker 1: Yes? Why do you even tell me about I don't
- 50:20Speaker 1: even look at the reviews until I forgot all about it.
- 50:23Speaker 1: You mentioned him anyway, She said that we were just
- 50:25Speaker 1: trying to make a buck. Let me tell you, Alice,
- 50:27Speaker 1: ain't many bucks have been a making.
- 50:29Speaker 2: Okay, we are trying to make a buck.
- 50:32Speaker 1: Yeah, just just anyways, Instagram, Facebook, and then write us
- 50:42Speaker 1: a review five stars. Only somehow some.
- 50:44Speaker 2: People Alice missed that memo.
- 50:48Speaker 1: And I guess we will see you next time. By everyone,
- 50:52Speaker 1: say bye, ste.
- 50:56Speaker 2: It's bad. I'm superstitios. By nothing else. It's working, and
- 51:06Speaker 2: my hand is green
- 51:07Speaker 1: And hurting at our sickos
