- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up, everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're going to pick up
- 0:06where we left off with the Bill Gates interview with Congress. Question.
- 0:15So this redaction was made by the Department of Justice
- 0:17in the release of the Epstein files. Members of the
- 0:21committee have had the opportunity to look underneath of redactions
- 0:25at the Department of Justice. So I'll stipulate to you
- 0:28that the redacted words are a name. It's Alice Jacobs
- 0:32and we understand that her full name to be Alice
- 0:34Jacobs Nesselrod. Do you know who that is? Answer? I do?
- 0:38Question who is she? Answer? She's a doctor who does
- 0:42consulting relating health services? I believe. Question have you ever
- 0:46met her? Answer? I have question? How did you meet her? Answer?
- 0:50She was at a conference that I went to. Question
- 0:53do you recall approximately what year? Answer before twenty ten? Question.
- 0:59According to the DOJ files, Miss Nesselrod appears to have
- 1:02initially made contact with Jeffrey Epstein over email in October
- 1:06of two thousand and nine, and it seems she was
- 1:09ultimately the one who introduced Epstein to Nickeolch. Did you
- 1:12know that? Answer? No, I thought it was. I mean,
- 1:16what I've read in the press is it was doctor Walker.
- 1:19I don't know. I mean, I think even recently press
- 1:22things said it was doctor Walker. I have no knowledge
- 1:24of who did that introduction? Question? In one email, she
- 1:28referred to Boris as her quote best friend. Did you
- 1:31know that she and doctor Nikolicch were friends at all?
- 1:33Answer who? Question? In one email, miss Nesselrod referred to
- 1:38Boris as her best friend. Did you know that miss
- 1:40Nesselrod and doctor Nikeolch were friends? Answer? I knew that
- 1:44they knew each other in a professional context. Question did
- 1:48you know whether doctor Nesselrod knew mister Epstein? Answer no,
- 1:52I have no awareness of that question so it says
- 1:56I'll read it for you again. You also made it
- 1:59clear to me that I'm not to refer to Alice Jacobs,
- 2:02as that is another topic that must remain between the
- 2:05two of us. What do you make of that? What
- 2:08do you think that they're talking about? Answer? They this
- 2:11is email from one man to himself that I've never
- 2:15seen before. So what does it mean when a man
- 2:18sends an email to himself? I'm not sure? Question sure?
- 2:21As it chose In majority Exhibit one, doctor Nikolch and
- 2:24mister Epstein were coordinating on how to deal with you.
- 2:28I appreciate that you are. We cannot say for certain
- 2:30what the context of this email is, given that it
- 2:33was sent from mister Epstein to himself, but it's written
- 2:36from the perspective of doctor Nikeolch. And so I'll just
- 2:39ask you the question this way. Do you have any
- 2:42reason to believe that anyone would think that there is
- 2:45something about Alice Jacobs that you needed to keep between
- 2:48yourself and doctor Nickolch. Answer, well, there was a time
- 2:52when I had an affair with doctor Jacobs, so that
- 2:55may fit the category. Question Okay, what year did that begin?
- 2:59Answer before two? Though? Question, and this is why I
- 3:02was asking earlier about your other affairs, which you know.
- 3:05I can appreciate your perspective that you don't believe any
- 3:08of these people to be connected with Jeffrey Epstein, but
- 3:11it seems he was connected to a lot of people,
- 3:13including doctor Nesselrod. Question. As we sit here today, I'm
- 3:18not aware of any connection between doctor Jacobs and mister Epstein.
- 3:22Question did you ever have a conversation with doctor Nikolich
- 3:25about your affair with doctor Jacobs? Doctor Nesselrod. Answer no, no.
- 3:30Question how do you believe that he knew that doctor
- 3:33Nikolich knew about your affair? Question? He was friends, you know,
- 3:36a consultant tour, so I'm not completely surprised that he
- 3:39might have been aware of it. Question Is it possible
- 3:42that mister Epstein heard it directly from doctor Nesselrod? Answer?
- 3:46I doubt that very much. As I said, I'm not
- 3:48aware of any connection between doctor Epstein or doctor Jacobs
- 3:52and Epstein. Question should we call her doctor Jacobs or
- 3:56doctor Nesselrod? Answer let's call her doctor Jacobs to doctor Jacobs.
- 4:01Did her name come up in any of the discussion
- 4:03with regard to doctor Nikoluch's departure from his employment? Answer never.
- 4:09Question was your affair with doctor Jacobs? Did you disclose
- 4:12your affair with doctor Jacobs to Malinda at the same
- 4:15time you disclose the two we've already talked about? Answer
- 4:19that would have been earlier. Question Sir, your wife Melinda
- 4:22was aware of the affair with doctor Jacobs earlier, and
- 4:24then you told her of two additional affairs at a
- 4:27later date. Answer that's right. Question do you recall when
- 4:30approximately you inform your wife about your affair with doctor Jacobs.
- 4:34Answer no. Question did doctor Nikolch know that Milinda was
- 4:38aware of this affair? Answer? I don't know. Question thank you.
- 4:42And so, just looking at this email in its entirety,
- 4:45I think you've already used the word blackmail. I was
- 4:48going to ask you, and reading it it strikes me
- 4:50as sort of a shakedown of you. I didn't read
- 4:52the whole thing to you, but there's a long part
- 4:54where the email describes what it wishes that you would
- 4:58have done for Boris, including you know, thirty to forty
- 5:00percent of one hundred million dollar partnership for thirty million
- 5:04in today's dollars. Answer where are you reading? Yeah, there
- 5:08you are? Question above. It also says I suggest i'd
- 5:12buy you the house that you had your heart set on.
- 5:14Did discussions of you purchasing a house for doctor Nikolch
- 5:18ever come up during negotiations with them? Answer? Not in
- 5:21negotiations with them, But while he was in my employee,
- 5:25I was aware that there was a place in New
- 5:27York he was looking to buy, and he asked me
- 5:29if I would loan him the money for that, and
- 5:31I turned him down. Question do you know the approximate
- 5:34value of that. Answer No, it could have been. It
- 5:36was above ten million. Answer above ten million. Apologies for
- 5:40going out of border here, but again just above that
- 5:43to thirty to forty percent line and above just above that,
- 5:46it says in addition to five years of severance, was
- 5:50there ever a discussion of providing doctor Nikolch five years
- 5:53of his pay as part of his severance? Answer? No. Question.
- 5:58Do you know what doctor nikolicch annual compensation was approximately? Answer?
- 6:03I would be guessing, you know, above one hundred thousand,
- 6:05probably below two hundred thousand. Question so five years would
- 6:10be between five hundred thousand and one million. Is that
- 6:13what your email is describing in terms of severance payment?
- 6:17Answer well, independent of the email, I can multiply five
- 6:20by one hundred thousand and two hundred thousand very quickly,
- 6:23so it would be between five hundred thousand and one million.
- 6:28Question and were there any discussions with doctor Nikolic about
- 6:31a severance payment between five hundred thousand and one million?
- 6:35Answer no, question. I know you've already described it a
- 6:38little bit, but can you explain what the ultimate dollar
- 6:40value of mister nikolch severance package was? Answer well, the
- 6:46biggest economic thing between doctor Nikolch and Gate's ventures was
- 6:50the sharing of the profit from the two investments that
- 6:52he made, and you know, we had agreed to share
- 6:55the profits on those investments before he left. That was
- 6:58part of his saying he was going to go to
- 7:00venture capital and my saying, okay, why don't you stay
- 7:03for a little longer and almost do like, you know,
- 7:06almost venture capital type things, which was, you know, very unusual.
- 7:10I didn't do that with employees questions. So, you know,
- 7:14his portion of those investments was substantial, because I had
- 7:17quite a bit of profit from the investments that were made.
- 7:20And so there's that part which is not due to
- 7:22his leaving. That was because of a prior verbal agreement
- 7:26between doctor Nikolich and I. Beyond that, I think he
- 7:29got fairly standard exit package, which would have been on
- 7:32the order of six to nine months of compensation questions,
- 7:36So fair to say under one million. Answer for the
- 7:39extra compensation, yes, but the value of stocks was you know, substantial,
- 7:43over five million, mister spector, Miss Bolbert, do you have
- 7:47any questions, Miss Bolbert? Thank you, thank you, mister Gates
- 7:51for being here today. I have a couple of questions
- 7:53about your involvement with mister Epstein in relation to the
- 7:56scientific studies that you were both that you work on
- 7:59and that he is intrigued by, mister Gates, Epstein was
- 8:03deeply involved in eugenics, transhumanism, and plans to propagate his
- 8:08own DNA through genetic engineering. During your multiple meetings, did
- 8:12he ever discuss his genetic ambitions, population engineering ideas, or
- 8:16try to tie them to your foundation vaccine and global
- 8:20health initiatives? Answer mister Gates, He did not, Bobert. None
- 8:25of that ever came up. The talk of vaccines, Gates
- 8:28never came up. Bobert. Okay, and then so, given Epstein's
- 8:32Harvard Genome project involvement with Crisper around the same time
- 8:36as your meetings, did he ever pitch any ideas with
- 8:38that program to your DNA research? Gates? No question. Were
- 8:44there any other meetings with anyone in his circle that
- 8:46talked about any kind of scientific DNA research that was
- 8:49taking place or a vaccine with your global health initiative,
- 8:53mister Gates, No, Bobert. When you first started interacting with
- 8:57Jeffrey Epstein, you are notably one of the most part
- 9:00orrowful men in the world, and I would say that
- 9:02you have a vast amount of resources. How was there
- 9:05not a vetting process for his relationship to begin and
- 9:08were there red flags that you had ignored completely or
- 9:11were you just completely unaware of it? Gates? Well, I
- 9:16was aware that he had a criminal conviction, as I've discussed, Bolbert, correct,
- 9:20because it's true that you began a moral formal relationship
- 9:23after Epstein had that conviction. Answer. Yeah, I think that
- 9:27his conviction was two thousand and eight or two thousand
- 9:29and nine, and I first met him in twenty eleven Bolbert, correct.
- 9:33And so with that criminal conviction, it was enough for
- 9:36him to say that this was a lie or that
- 9:39you would believe that he was innocent in some manner
- 9:42and continue having these meetings with them. Answer, we didn't
- 9:45discuss his criminal conviction, Bobert. And it didn't bother you
- 9:49that you were doing business, philanthropy work with a man
- 9:52that had these convictions. Gates. It was a concern and
- 9:55part of the reason that I defined his potential role
- 9:58quite narrowly and eventually bought it, brought it to an end.
- 10:02But I have to regret that I didn't factor that
- 10:04in into a greater degree Bobert. So you discussed his
- 10:08criminal convictions whatsoever with them, or never discussed his criminal
- 10:11convictions whatsoever with them? Gates? No, Bobert, what were the
- 10:16discussions during your meetings? Gates? Which meeting? Bobert? Well, okay,
- 10:20let's take it back. How many meetings overall do you
- 10:23think you had in person with Jeffrey Epstein Gates. Let's see,
- 10:27there were three in twenty eleven and two in twenty twelve.
- 10:31There's like five or six, although some of those are
- 10:33skype calls in twenty eleven, and five or six in
- 10:37twenty fourteen. Bobert. Thank you for the detailed response. And
- 10:41I know that you've mentioned that earlier, at least in part.
- 10:44Were the topics generally the same during all those meetings.
- 10:47I'm aware that you said that sometimes it would have
- 10:49been a year or so you were kind of recapping
- 10:51what you had been doing for the previous year. But generally,
- 10:55what were the topics of these meetings? Gates? Well, I
- 10:58would differentiate. You know, clearly there were meetings that had
- 11:02to do with Nikeolice leaving Gate's ventures employ They were
- 11:06mostly meetings that talked about the potential for billions of
- 11:09philanthropic donations. Then a number of those meetings there were
- 11:13other people. So like when Larry Summers is there, we're
- 11:16talking about the economy and what's going on with that. Likewise,
- 11:19jess Daley at the same dinner, when the two Norwegians
- 11:23were there, we're talking about what's gone on with the
- 11:25United Nations and what's going on on world affairs generally.
- 11:29You know. So there was a variety of topics, including
- 11:31me talking about my global health goals. Bobert. So you
- 11:36were talking about your goals in global health, and was
- 11:38Epstein ever intrigued in inquiring more about this and did
- 11:42he ever offer up his own information that he'd been
- 11:44studying Gates To my awareness, he wasn't somebody who knew
- 11:49much about global health, you know. When he would talk
- 11:51about the various topics that he was into, global health
- 11:55was never one of those. Bobert. I guess global health
- 11:58that could be broad. So your meetings with Epstein overlapped
- 12:01your heavy push on the global vaccines and population related initiative,
- 12:06And so you're saying that Epstein never had any discussion
- 12:08with you or influence in those areas, even indirectly through
- 12:13his network Gates. Okay, let's be clear what initiatives are
- 12:17you referring to, Bobert Well, your global health initiatives, your
- 12:21massive push for vaccines and population related initiatives. Mister Gates,
- 12:26what's the connection. There's no connection, So I'm not understanding
- 12:30what you're referring to. There are vaccines, and we're a
- 12:33funder of Gabby that buys vaccines for children, you know,
- 12:36which is the primary reason childhood death has gone from
- 12:39ten million a year down below five million a year.
- 12:42That has nothing to do with population. Bobert Okay, Well
- 12:46commas between those topics. So okay, were you ever talking
- 12:49with him about those vaccines and did he ever have
- 12:51any influence in those areas? Gates? No, Bobert Okay. It's
- 12:56just a little difficult because we have powerful people like
- 12:59yourself are claiming they didn't know anything about Epstein's activities
- 13:02that were happening. Even if aware of conviction, it wasn't
- 13:07enough of an issue to separate business or personal or
- 13:10have meetings whatsoever, despite you know, these years of association.
- 13:14People in these powerful positions are saying they absolutely knew nothing.
- 13:19And as someone who prides themselves, Gates cuts her off.
- 13:23I can only speak for myself Bobert jumps in correct, Yes, sir,
- 13:27And as someone who prides himself on data and evidence,
- 13:30I don't know how you explain missing that the victim
- 13:32and court records show that this was going on for
- 13:35so long. Gates. What was going on for so long? Bobert,
- 13:39all of Epstein's sex crimes? Gates, I was not aware
- 13:42of any ongoing crimes. Bobert. Okay. I think that's all
- 13:45the questions I have for now. Thank you, mister Gates,
- 13:49mister moron. And before we go, mister Gates referred to
- 13:52an email exchange where he conveyed to Jeffrey Epstein that,
- 13:55you know, regardless of what Boris was going to say,
- 13:58he wasn't going to change the terms of the deal.
- 14:01We track down Bates number for that. That's e f
- 14:04TA zero one nine six four zero five three specter.
- 14:08Thank you. All right, folks, we're gonna wrap up right
- 14:11here and in the next episode dealing with the topic,
- 14:13we're gonna pick up where we left off. All the
- 14:16information that goes with this episode can be found in
- 14:19the description box.
