- Craig: Well welcome back to Fat Daddy Sports. I am Craig. If you're new here, drop a like, drop a comment, hit that subscribe button. We are on a journey right now trying to hit our first 100 subs. Today we are taking a look at a 10-team mock PPR draft over on ESPN. We've done a couple of these. I know ESPN is a very popular format for some people. I personally don't play on ESPN anymore, but I did for a very long time. We're jumping into an ESPN draft room right now. ⁓ we'll go ahead and share that screen right now. As the ⁓ draft is just about to start, you can see we are in the ⁓ Third position here. The last couple of mock drafts that we've done, we've been at the back end of the first round. So we're gonna switch it up and be at the beginning of the first round this time. And here we go. We will see what we get. Any day now, Jack. That is a scary team. All right, Jameer Gibbs and B. John Robinson go one-two off the board. ⁓ this is a spot where the obvious move here is to take Jamar Chase or Jana or Pukanakua. I kinda like to ⁓ take a running back here instead, just because I don't like the running backs to come back to me. But we're gonna stick with status quo and we'll go ahead and take Jamar Chase with our first pick. We'll see, we'll hope. That some running backs come back to us in the second round. ⁓ if this were a real draft, I may lean running back heavy here early on just because I like the receivers a little bit at the back end of the second round. But we'll see how it shakes out. Jonathan Taylor goes right after my pick. So I wasn't too far off in thinking that. Puka Nakua goes next, and hopefully these will start to go a little bit quicker. Usually these ESPN drafts. ⁓ people jump in and then they jump out. So everything goes to auto pick pretty quickly. Amonara St. Brown and Christian McCaffrey go next in the first round, and we are on to pick number eight with Luigi's loud team, and he takes JSN. Justin takes James Cook at the 109. And at the 110, we have CeeDee Lamb. So CeeDee Lamb and Justin Jefferson back to back there at the 1-2 turn. He'll start out running or wide receiver heavy. Derrick Henry and Devon A Chan, Chase Brown. I'm sorry, Chase Brown, then Derrick Henry, then Devon A Chan. And is almost back to us here at the end of the second round. Some of these wide receivers going is is helping our cause to get a running back, but we'll see how it shakes out. Omarion Hampton goes now and we are looking at ⁓ Saquon Barkley goes next. We're going to go ahead and get our positions ready here with the running back position. So AJ Brown goes next, and it is on to us here at our second pick. We're going to look at all positions real quick. Drake London, Ashton Genty, Trey McBride, ⁓ Jeremiah Love, Brock Bowers, Nico Collins, Chris Olave, and Kenneth Walker. ⁓ I know he's banged up right now, but we're going to go ahead and take Ashton Genty. Not typically somebody that I take, but ⁓ we're gonna We're going to believe the hype that he is back to hopefully healthy and we'll take him since this is just a mock draft. ⁓ if this was a real draft, I probably would have gone with Ken Walker there. I know that he is also banged up. I think that's more so just out of ⁓ being cautious. The Chiefs are trying to limit his workload leading up to that season opener. But you see, Kenneth Walker goes with the next pick. I was kind of hoping that maybe he'd sneak back to us in the third round. We'll see how it shakes out. Brock Bowers goes next at that 2 3 turn. And now it is on to Jack's scary pick with ⁓ the second pick in the third round. The first pick went to Brees Hall. So Bro Bowers and Hall went back to back there at the 2 3 turn. Nico Collins, and it is now on to us. ⁓ real easy to go wide receiver here. You've got some of these top guys up at the at the very top. We are going to we'll go with the rookie hype. I had a couple of my drafts last night and I did not had the opportunity in both leagues to take this guy and I did not do it. We're gonna go with Jeremiah Love. We're gonna stock up on our running backs here early with Genty and Love, two very young, very exciting players, and then pair them with Jamar Chase. I think that's a pretty good start through the first three rounds here. ⁓ but after Jeremiah Love goes Chris Olave and Trey McBride. Drake London in Atlanta going next. And that is somebody who scares me a lot this year. I love the talent. I've talked about him in previous videos as one of my guys that I am steering clear of this year. Love the talent. Do not like the inconsistency and do not like the quarterback play there in Atlanta this year. Just too many question marks for me. George Pickens, somebody that I do like, ⁓ goes right after that in Dallas. Hopefully this starts to pick up a little bit here with some auto drafts. But man, these guys are really taking their time. Because of this, we are only going to do four bench spots, no kicker, no defense. So ⁓ we're only gonna draft, you know, our starting lineup and then four bench spots and then get out of here so that this isn't a four hour long video. Nobody has time for that. so after Drake London goes George Pickens, like I said, and then Devontae Adams and Malik Neighbors, somebody who I am Very high on Malik Neighbors. I I got him in one of my leagues last night. Very excited for that. I love buying the dip there. And then right after him, Rasheed Rice, somebody else that I think people are sleeping on a little bit. When he is healthy, when he is not in trouble with the law, he has been very, very good for that Chiefs offense. I think it's gonna be the same this year. He's gonna get a ton of targets, ton of work. And then right after him is Kyron Williams, somebody who I've been high on, a little bit lower this year. Still a solid pick though. ⁓ Back into the third round. And then on to Devontae Smith, Javante Williams, and Travis E. Chan Jr. Sorry, Kyron went in the middle of the fourth. I I lost track of what round we're on. ⁓ again, I don't play on ESPN very often. This whole ticker across the top is very different to me. ⁓ we are looking at let's see, what do we got for tight ends? Well, Colston Lovelin is still there. I love that pick. ⁓ I like some of these receivers. I really like Garrett Wilson. I like Zay Flowers. I like Ameka Abuka. But we're gonna go ahead and get that tight end position. I I love Colston Loveland. Got him in my main league last night. Very, very excited about him this year. I think he's gonna have a huge year for the Bears. Right after that goes Zay Flowers, ⁓ dealing with a lower body body injury right now. A little bit nerve wracking if you just drafted him or if you're about to draft him. Keep an eye on that. Monitor that news. If he's healthy, he should have a very solid season for you. Omeka Abuka also dealing with a toe issue, but should be good to go. And if he is, he's gonna have another big year. There goes Garrett Wilson, somebody who I am very, very high on this year. I was hoping he would fall to us and we could snag him. ⁓ with another t ⁓ wide receiver pick here. Jalen Waddle goes next. We are left with Tet McMillan, Quinshawn Judkins, Cam Scattaboo, ⁓ T. Higgins, Lamar Jackson. Look at our wide receivers there, drying up quick here. Don't love any of those guys. We are running out of time. Gotta be prepared when you're here. We're gonna have a panic pick. We're gonna go ahead and take Lamar Jackson. ⁓ this is what happens when you do not draft on a format and you just go in blindly. ⁓ like I said, I've only done a few of these drafts on ESPN and ⁓ just to make a video of them. Haven't done any practicing, haven't really looked at their ADPs at all, got caught watching the clock right there and had a panic pick of Lamar Jackson. I think there's a lot worse picks that you could have, but ⁓ I don't necessarily love taking Lamar Jackson there in the fifth round. We are getting down to ⁓ I don't want to say our last few picks, but only a handful of picks left here. And we are still looking for that wide receiver too. ⁓ I love taking Colston Lovelin. Looking back, I maybe would have tried to take a wide receiver there just because there were some guys there that I did really like. ⁓ let's look back here at the at the draft board. So I took Colston Lovelin. Next went Zay Flower, somebody that I like. Abuka went. Right after him and Wilson went right after him. All three guys that I really like. Jalen Waddle even is a good good pick. Tet McMillan, I've talked about here on the channel. I I really like Tet McMillan. I love the talent. Don't necessarily like the situation. And I know it was okay at times last year. I'm a little bit more worried this year. I think Bryce Young had a somewhat of an outlier season for himself last year. I worry about him going forward this year. ⁓ T. Higgins would have been a good pick, but I obviously already have Jamar Chase, so I didn't want to pair both of them. And that's what I kind of got l caught looking at with my last pick is T. Higgins was the best available. I was trying to remember who my wide receiver one was. And that clock was ticking down very, very quickly. So it's about to happen again. We better get prepared here. We'll look at the all positions here. And I don't want to make myself take a wide receiver just because I need a a second wide receiver. If a good running back value comes up, ⁓ then I will take a a swing there, but we're gonna see how this shakes out. I think, you know, Trevion Henderson, David Montgomery are both good running back options that could be fill in in that flex position. I do think that there's a chance ⁓ that one of them could be there at my next pick's pick. Obviously, David Montgomery just went. So that leaves us with JMO, Romo Dunze, Luther Burden, Carnell Tate, Marvin Harrison. There's a lot more wide receivers. So I'm going to go ahead and take a running back here. I'm going to take Trevion. Obviously, some question marks there in New England and with his health. But overall. I I don't think he would have been there with my next pick, whereas I think there's gonna be I know there's gonna be a wide receiver that I can take here. And none of these guys ⁓ really jump out to me over the other. So I'll just kind of let the draft play out and see who the best available is. So I'll take Trayvon Henderson as my flex and we'll wait on this wide receiver too. Joe Burrow goes next. We'll see who Brian's best team takes here with the back to back picks at the six seven turn. You know, just looking at these wide receivers, Carnell Tate is somebody that jumps off the board to me. I'm really, really coming around on Carnell Tate. I was kind of out just because of the Titans. But the more I look at it and I I think about that Brian Dable offense, I think they're going to be really good this year. he's somebody that I'm very excited about as of late. So after my pick went Burrow, Odunze, Parker Washington, and Sam Laporta, that leaves us with Jamison Williams. Luther Burden, Carnell Tate, and Marvin Harrison Jr. as the top picks. ⁓ we're gonna go ahead and take my prince, my ⁓ guy that I was super high on last year, Luther Burden. I know that I already have Colson Lovelin. It scares me a little bit to have a wide receiver and tight end in that offense, but I do think that that offense is gonna be very, very good this year. And I think it can support both of those guys in different ways. Luther Burden is tracking to play in week one right now, so just keep an eye on that. But overall, I'm pretty excited about that pick as my wide receiver too. I think that there's going to be even more value going forward here with some of these other guys. After the Burden pick goes George Kittle, Carnell Tate goes two picks later. No, three picks later goes Kittle, Drake May, Carnell Tate, Jalen Hurts, and Chuba Hubbard. Jamison Williams was somebody else that I was looking at as a wide receiver too. I think he's gonna have a big year this year. ⁓ I'm a little worried with Laporta back that ⁓ Jamison Williams numbers are gonna dip a little bit. They were up a little bit last year with Laporta out, and now Laporta back. We'll see what that does to JMO's numbers. Still think that he is a lot ⁓ he's slept on a lot as a receiver. I think he kind of got that reputation as a boomer bust big play guy, his first year in the league or so. And I think he's really proven that he is more than that. After Jalen Hurts goes Chuba Hubbard, Marvin Harrison Jr., Harold Fannon Jr., Jamison Williams, Brian Thomas Jr., Kyle Pitts, and Dak Prescott. And we are really just looking to fill out our bench at this point. Need a couple more receivers. Probably could take a couple running backs. I've talked extensively about these Steelers receivers, not anybody that I want. Sutton's not really anybody I want. Wandale's not anybody. Michael Wilson, Stefan Diggs is a an okay value there. ⁓ we'll look at the running back position here before it gets too carried away. Marshawn Lloyd is somebody who is starting to creep up and he goes right on cue. Right as we're about to take him. ⁓ he is creeping up on the ESPN app. I know on Sleeper, their ADPs haven't adjusted fully yet. So Marshawn Lloyd is still hidden down in there. You got to really be pay paying attention here in the eighth round at a guy like that. You got to be paying attention at a guy like this that I take in almost every draft. And that is Jonathan Brooks. We'll load up on him and hope that he goes off for us. Right after Brooks goes DK Metcalf and is back to Brian's best team here. ⁓ we'll see who what he does here with the back to backs. He goes with Jalen Warren with his first pick. And Rico Dowdle. So he loads up on the running backs there in ⁓ Pittsburgh. Michael Pittman Jr. goes right after that. And ⁓ just because I don't typically take this guy, well, we're gonna we're gonna go somebody else. We're gonna look at the wide receiver position, a guy that I think could be a very solid wide receiver to this year for his real team and for my team, and that is Stefan Diggs. We'll go ahead and take him as our bench wide receiver. Signs with the Commanders, ⁓ coming off a thousand yards last year for the Patriots. I think he's gonna be a phenomenal ad to that commander's offense, something that they really have needed. Terry McLaurin, ⁓ a very ⁓ undervalued wide receiver in his career, very quietly a ⁓ solid wide receiver in real life. But in fantasy, I think Stefan Diggs is gonna bring a lot of value to that commander's offense and to your team if you draft him. Right after digs goes Jacoby Myers and Cortland Sutton. We are down to our final two picks here. So we'll wait for it to get back to us. As you see, all these auto picks are coming in now. And we could really use an another running back, maybe two running backs. We'll see how it all shakes out. There's a guy I've got my eye on here. We'll see if he makes it back with all of these auto picks. After our pick of Stefan Days goes Jacoby Myers, Cortland Sutton, Matthew Golden, Wandale Robinson, Jackson Dart, Justin Herbert, Kenny Gainwell, Josh Jacobs, Chris Godwin, Alec Pierce, Tucker Kraft, Rashad White. It is now back to us, and we will short up our final running back position, or what I think will be, with a guy who is the running back one in Denver, and that is J.K. Dobbins. We will take him with our second to last pick. And just by Process of elimination, we'll look over to the wide receiver position. We've been waiting on Brian for a long time. Brian, you need to pick it up, buddy. All right, it is back to us now. and we are gonna go ahead and stash a rookie wide receiver that I hope can break out at some point this year. Rookie wide receivers are the key to fantasy football every single year, down the stretch, the second half of the season. And I think a guy like Makai Lemon is going to dominate over the course of the season. I've shared my concerns with this Philadelphia offense. ⁓ they they definitely scare me, but I think Mikhail Lemon is a very special talent that can really excel ⁓ in this offense. So we'll go ahead and take a look at our team real quick before we get out of here. We are looking at Lamar Jackson, Ashton Jense, Jeremiah Love, Jamar Chase, Luther Burden, Colston Loveland, and then our flex and bench spots are Trevion Henderson. Jonathan Brooks, Stefan Diggs, JK Dobbins, and Mikai Lemon. Let me know down in the comments what you guys think of this team, who you would have picked differently. Let me know where you're drafting from in your draft and who you're looking forward to getting on your team. ⁓ drop a like, drop a comment, hit that subscribe button, and I will catch you all on the next one.
