- 0:00Speaker 1: I love watching the Olympics. I've told you this before,
- 0:02Speaker 1: and you know I'm still watching. I'm still excited, but
- 0:05Speaker 1: there are just a few little niggly things that are
- 0:08Speaker 1: putting a slight dampner on it for me. The river
- 0:11Speaker 1: sin dirty again. Did you see that in the news overnight?
- 0:16Speaker 1: That's the second day with no practice. I mean, you've
- 0:19Speaker 1: got to do a triathlon. You want to practice swimming
- 0:22Speaker 1: in the river that you're going to compete in, but
- 0:24Speaker 1: you can't because it's dirty. It's filled with the coalie
- 0:28Speaker 1: and it rained in the weekend. It's still affecting the
- 0:31Speaker 1: water quality. So that's the second day in a row
- 0:33Speaker 1: with no practice and you won't know whether you're going
- 0:37Speaker 1: to swim in the Sein until four hours before the
- 0:40Speaker 1: race is due to start. Could this have been avoided?
- 0:43Speaker 1: Could you have picked another river you know to swim?
- 0:46Speaker 1: And I would have thought so. The opening ceremony, that's
- 0:49Speaker 1: another thing. I mean, obviously Celendon was amazing, but the
- 0:52Speaker 1: weird meandering lead up to Selene was the athletes themselves
- 0:58Speaker 1: are actually complaining about the beds being uncomfortable, the room's
- 1:03Speaker 1: been too hot, the food is bad, and they say
- 1:05Speaker 1: this is affecting their chance of breaking world records. That's
- 1:10Speaker 1: not great. Donna Demeyo actually is going to talk to
- 1:12Speaker 1: us about that shortly from Australia. The other thing is
- 1:15Speaker 1: that we've got no medals. And I'm not complaining because
- 1:18Speaker 1: obviously I'm not there racing myself. I'm not jumping in
- 1:21Speaker 1: the pool and swimming, so I'm not going to complain
- 1:24Speaker 1: about that. But it is nice to win a medal,
- 1:26Speaker 1: isn't it, And we haven't done that yet. And then
- 1:28Speaker 1: there's the Canadian football team who've cheated. They now want
- 1:31Speaker 1: the points that have been deducted put back on. Should
- 1:35Speaker 1: you still be able to remain in the Olympics when
- 1:38Speaker 1: you've essentially cheated? I mean, imagine if the Canadian women's
- 1:42Speaker 1: football team actually got the gold medal even though those
- 1:46Speaker 1: sent drones up in the air. Does that seem fair?
- 1:49Speaker 1: I don't know. So there's just a few problems that
- 1:51Speaker 1: seem to be quite avoidable, a few rules that seem
- 1:54Speaker 1: to be a little bit unfair. However, in saying all
- 1:58Speaker 1: of that, I'm still watching and for more from News
