- 0:00Speaker 1: All start Toyota presents Off the Bench with Jacob Hester
- 0:04Speaker 1: and Matt Flynn.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where the.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Plays get broken down, then science gets denied.
- 0:10Speaker 2: This I gotta come up the bitch o.
- 0:11Speaker 1: We're two of Off the Bench live from the Mercedes
- 0:14Speaker 1: Benz Baton Rouge Studio.
- 0:16Speaker 3: Starts now, all.
- 0:24Speaker 4: Right, welcome back, he in Nour number two, OH, TV one,
- 0:27Speaker 4: O four five, ESPN, Beton Rouge and we go now
- 0:30Speaker 4: to my boy, Christopher Paul Doring. You know him, you
- 0:34Speaker 4: love him, SEC Network, Florida Gator legend, and he's the
- 0:38Speaker 4: only person I would ever say those words about c D.
- 0:40Speaker 5: What's up, brother? How we doing?
- 0:42Speaker 6: Good morning man, Good to be back with you, first
- 0:44Speaker 6: time with Flynn. Man, looking forward to h to getting
- 0:47Speaker 6: to know you a little bit better.
- 0:48Speaker 2: Maddy, I've fired up.
- 0:50Speaker 7: I've heard so many stories I've seen I've seen the
- 0:53Speaker 7: different costumes and stuff.
- 0:54Speaker 2: So that was like, Man, that's a guy that I
- 0:56Speaker 2: think I could have a beer with.
- 0:57Speaker 6: For sure, we definitely do that. Hopefully you'll be in
- 1:00Speaker 6: meeting days in Atlanta here, well, we will be there.
- 1:03Speaker 6: Good looking forward to We're.
- 1:04Speaker 4: Trying to get his mind right right now for it
- 1:06Speaker 4: what's that. I'm trying to get his mind right for
- 1:08Speaker 4: it right now.
- 1:09Speaker 6: Well, you know, we've kind of calmed it down a
- 1:11Speaker 6: little bit in the last few years. The early start
- 1:13Speaker 6: time has has hurt me. But uh, we are on
- 1:16Speaker 6: eastern times, so I don't have quite the early call
- 1:19Speaker 6: time as we've had in recent years being there in
- 1:21Speaker 6: Nashville and uh, Birmingham back of the day.
- 1:24Speaker 5: Yeah, that is fair, that is fair. Uh what are
- 1:26Speaker 5: we doing today?
- 1:27Speaker 4: Are we already slinging mortgages today?
- 1:30Speaker 6: Now? You know what, I took the day off radio today,
- 1:34Speaker 6: so it didn't you know, kind of easing into my
- 1:37Speaker 6: my my day a little bit. About to go hit
- 1:38Speaker 6: the gym here in a minute, and uh, and then
- 1:41Speaker 6: we'll get after some mortgages. I think I'm gonna think
- 1:43Speaker 6: able to ride over to the beach tomorrow too.
- 1:45Speaker 3: Man.
- 1:46Speaker 6: It's been really hot here as it is been for
- 1:49Speaker 6: everybody else, So might do a little beach time this weekend.
- 1:52Speaker 4: See. Do do you ever wonder, like Flynn and I
- 1:54Speaker 4: were talking about this last week, do you ever kind
- 1:56Speaker 4: of wonder how in the world did we do what
- 1:59Speaker 4: we did in college in this weather?
- 2:01Speaker 2: Yes?
- 2:02Speaker 6: I think that's an old guy thing.
- 2:03Speaker 4: Think.
- 2:04Speaker 6: I think like when you're young, you don't know any better,
- 2:06Speaker 6: and then as you get older and you get out
- 2:08Speaker 6: of doing it, it's hard to get back into it.
- 2:11Speaker 6: It's like getting in shape. It's easy while you're it's
- 2:14Speaker 6: easier while you're staying in shape, but harder when you've
- 2:16Speaker 6: gotten out of shape. So I yeah, man, the humidity here.
- 2:19Speaker 6: But let's be honest, though, these kids ain't doing what
- 2:22Speaker 6: we were doing, so you know they'll they'll never have
- 2:24Speaker 6: any sort of idea of what it was like doing
- 2:27Speaker 6: two A days back in July and August in the
- 2:30Speaker 6: heat that we got here in the Southeast.
- 2:32Speaker 4: Yeah, that is very fair because I even appreciate the
- 2:35Speaker 4: fact that I got a couple. If Lynn got it,
- 2:37Speaker 4: you certainly most of your career got like old school
- 2:40Speaker 4: two A days. At the next level, it's like, man,
- 2:42Speaker 4: you young cats, like y'all have no idea, like this
- 2:45Speaker 4: is a grind, and you remember, I'm sure you went
- 2:48Speaker 4: through this, like when you would scrimmage another team, Like
- 2:50Speaker 4: when you're practice with another team in the NFL, it
- 2:53Speaker 4: was like you had four game days in a row
- 2:56Speaker 4: and it was like true to a days you would
- 2:58Speaker 4: go against that team like eights in a four day period.
- 3:01Speaker 6: Yeah, the intensity level was ratcheted up next level. And
- 3:05Speaker 6: what is he what do you think by like practice
- 3:07Speaker 6: three year into like the full fledged fights that you know,
- 3:12Speaker 6: So it's that that set up for failure inevitably, especially
- 3:15Speaker 6: as deep as in the camp as we used to
- 3:17Speaker 6: be before we get a chance to do some of that.
- 3:19Speaker 6: But yeah, man, I I don't miss I don't miss
- 3:24Speaker 6: the uh the grind of being out there, but I
- 3:27Speaker 6: do miss the training camp thing. I was literally just
- 3:29Speaker 6: talking about that on on radio the other day. Man,
- 3:33Speaker 6: as much as it sucks, it's one of those things that, like,
- 3:36Speaker 6: you know, you hate it at the time. I do
- 3:39Speaker 6: miss being there with the guys and going through that
- 3:41Speaker 6: and experiencing kind of the bonding that takes place during
- 3:44Speaker 6: during camp every year.
- 3:47Speaker 7: Yeah, Chris, your vibes are really uh meshing well with
- 3:52Speaker 7: Jake and I show it because like we give off
- 3:54Speaker 7: so many like back in my day, vibes, they don't
- 3:58Speaker 7: go through We did blah blah blah. We you know,
- 4:00Speaker 7: we probably spend half of the show just telling those stories.
- 4:02Speaker 7: And we were just talking about the kind of the
- 4:04Speaker 7: break the roll of summer workouts for all these guys
- 4:08Speaker 7: of coming together doing the seven or sevens, the players
- 4:11Speaker 7: only time on the field, and how important that is
- 4:14Speaker 7: in your opinion? Like what can these kids get done
- 4:18Speaker 7: in the summertime without coaches on the field, just themselves
- 4:22Speaker 7: leading up? I mean each team is a little bit different.
- 4:24Speaker 7: I always kind of leaned on the leadership, but like,
- 4:26Speaker 7: what what do you what do you look for.
- 4:27Speaker 2: From a team?
- 4:28Speaker 7: And you can you can put this on your experience
- 4:30Speaker 7: on the summer, the weeks leading up the training camp,
- 4:33Speaker 7: because training camp is an as kicker, but yeah, just
- 4:36Speaker 7: mentally physically, what are they doing to prepare?
- 4:38Speaker 6: Yeah, it's interesting and because you know, I think teams
- 4:41Speaker 6: are built during your your off season conditioning. You know,
- 4:44Speaker 6: it's it's built with what you're doing in the gym,
- 4:46Speaker 6: It's built with those six fifteen runs. It's where leadership emerges,
- 4:50Speaker 6: It's where you know, bonding takes place. But actually, I
- 4:53Speaker 6: mean these guys are having a lot more time nowadays
- 4:55Speaker 6: than what we used to with with coaches, and you know,
- 4:58Speaker 6: we got so much hip hop. See in college football,
- 5:01Speaker 6: you know we talk about in IL, which is actually
- 5:04Speaker 6: just pay for play and recruiting, inducements and everything else.
- 5:06Speaker 6: We just don't call it the right things. Well, these guys,
- 5:08Speaker 6: these guys have OTAs now in college where you're out
- 5:11Speaker 6: there with the coaches, you just can't have a ball.
- 5:13Speaker 6: So what do they do. They roll up a towel
- 5:15Speaker 6: and tie it up and stimulated being a ball. Like
- 5:18Speaker 6: I don't even know why we do some of these
- 5:20Speaker 6: stupid things that we do, but it does feel like
- 5:22Speaker 6: coaches have an opportunity to get to know their teams
- 5:26Speaker 6: maybe a little bit better in the offseason because of
- 5:28Speaker 6: the time together. And let's be honest, like that only
- 5:30Speaker 6: makes sense, like why were we not allowed to be
- 5:32Speaker 6: with our coaches and now as big a business as
- 5:35Speaker 6: it is, it truly is, you know, much more like
- 5:38Speaker 6: the NFL, So you should have the opportunity to get
- 5:40Speaker 6: coached during the off season more, you know.
- 5:42Speaker 4: One of the things we were talking about for LSU
- 5:45Speaker 4: is the fact that they don't necessarily have to go
- 5:46Speaker 4: all the way back CD to like day one install
- 5:49Speaker 4: once they get to training camp, because they got a
- 5:50Speaker 4: veteran team, they got a quarterback coming back, and I
- 5:52Speaker 4: think that is helpful, like you can kind of just
- 5:55Speaker 4: look at it and then move along pretty fast there.
- 5:57Speaker 4: But I think that's going to be the case in
- 5:59Speaker 4: the SEC with so many returning quarterbacks. And one of
- 6:02Speaker 4: the things that's going to be intriguing to me once
- 6:04Speaker 4: we do get to Atlanta is you look at Florida,
- 6:07Speaker 4: you look at LSU, South Carolina, Vandy. They know exactly
- 6:11Speaker 4: who they are at quarterback. But the traditional powers over
- 6:14Speaker 4: the last couple of years, you're Georgia, You're Alabama, Tennessee
- 6:19Speaker 4: who made the College Football Playoff last year, Ole miss
- 6:21Speaker 4: is won a lot of games. Like those teams don't
- 6:24Speaker 4: know who in the hell they are at quarterback. Now.
- 6:26Speaker 4: They think they've got some guys that can fill in.
- 6:28Speaker 4: But the league this year, some of the teams that
- 6:30Speaker 4: are trying to take that next step, the ones I
- 6:32Speaker 4: laid out there, they know exactly who their guy is.
- 6:35Speaker 4: But the teams that have been there, the UGA's like
- 6:38Speaker 4: they're gonna have a lot to figure out.
- 6:40Speaker 6: Yeah, Uga, Alabama, even Texas. I mean, we know who
- 6:43Speaker 6: the guy is gonna be, but we don't necessarily know
- 6:46Speaker 6: what he's going to be. We think we got a
- 6:47Speaker 6: good idea of what he can evolve into.
- 6:49Speaker 5: But the head ball coach had something to say about that.
- 6:51Speaker 6: Yeah, I mean I feel the same way, like, why
- 6:54Speaker 6: are we ready to just crown somebody as being the
- 6:58Speaker 6: best in the league or the the number one draft
- 7:00Speaker 6: pick in a couple of years just because of the
- 7:02Speaker 6: last name. Now that there's a lot of good things
- 7:05Speaker 6: that I love his leadership, but I love you know,
- 7:07Speaker 6: he's he's a guy that hangs with his boys, which
- 7:09Speaker 6: I love at the quarterback position. But you know, I
- 7:12Speaker 6: do think it's an interesting dynamic because you know, this
- 7:16Speaker 6: has every year we go to to media days, you're
- 7:19Speaker 6: you're you're looking at at the returning quarterbacks and projecting
- 7:23Speaker 6: what teams can be based upon the experience at that
- 7:26Speaker 6: most crucial position. We had Matt Moscona on Your Boy
- 7:30Speaker 6: the other day and I was talking about how good
- 7:33Speaker 6: I thought the quarterback play was going to be this year.
- 7:35Speaker 6: He kind of took a little bit of an exception
- 7:36Speaker 6: to that. And to your point, I think there's about
- 7:39Speaker 6: half the league that feels really good about returning quarterbacks,
- 7:41Speaker 6: and then you know another half who's trying to figure
- 7:44Speaker 6: it out or has a guy that hadn't necessarily played
- 7:47Speaker 6: for that school and that offense before. So I really
- 7:51Speaker 6: like that. I do feel like it's going to be
- 7:54Speaker 6: an offensive inclined league this year with a lot of
- 7:57Speaker 6: really good quarterbacks. But I also look at at all
- 8:02Speaker 6: the different pieces around the quarterback now that come in
- 8:05Speaker 6: and how quickly they're able to acclimate. I know that
- 8:07Speaker 6: you guys there and Baton Rouge are dealing with a
- 8:09Speaker 6: bunch of new receivers or a lot of talent, but
- 8:13Speaker 6: how much have those guys been able to bond so
- 8:15Speaker 6: far in the offseason and get the rhythm down that
- 8:17Speaker 6: you need between the quarterback and wide receivers.
- 8:20Speaker 7: Yeah, the great teams, it usually comes down championship team.
- 8:23Speaker 7: It usually comes down to head coaching, quarterback. I mean
- 8:26Speaker 7: it's the ultimate team sport, of course, But I mean
- 8:28Speaker 7: if you don't have at least one, preferably two of
- 8:32Speaker 7: those things, a really good head coach and a really
- 8:33Speaker 7: good quarterback, you're you're behind the eight ball a little bit.
- 8:37Speaker 7: And I want to go back to arch Maning a
- 8:39Speaker 7: little bit. I mean, if there's one guy that is
- 8:42Speaker 7: would be made to handle the media and the pressure,
- 8:45Speaker 7: it would be a Manning because they've been around it
- 8:47Speaker 7: their entire life, right, But I want to know that
- 8:51Speaker 7: this day and age, with the access to social media,
- 8:53Speaker 7: access to everything, you're going to with unless you are
- 8:57Speaker 7: actively trying to not see it, You're going to be
- 8:59Speaker 7: expec everything, the good, bad, the ugly. What is if
- 9:03Speaker 7: you were coaching a guy like Arch, what are you
- 9:05Speaker 7: telling him as far as the cell phone, the looking
- 9:09Speaker 7: at the press clipons, looking at all that stuff, Because
- 9:12Speaker 7: it can be a dang if you don't have the
- 9:13Speaker 7: right mental makeup, it can be a dangerous thing.
- 9:15Speaker 2: But what would you say to a guy like that?
- 9:17Speaker 6: Yeah, honestly, I feel like Arch is the exception to
- 9:22Speaker 6: the rule, really, you know, And and let's credit Stark
- 9:25Speaker 6: Starts done a great job of managing the quarterback room,
- 9:28Speaker 6: managing Arch manning and his expectation. But I also think
- 9:31Speaker 6: a lot of that came from the family influence as well,
- 9:35Speaker 6: having multiple uncles that have dealt with and a grandfather
- 9:38Speaker 6: that's dealt with it a different era there. But is
- 9:42Speaker 6: a guy that comes from great pedigree, not only athletically
- 9:45Speaker 6: but mentally. And I there's not a whole lot of
- 9:49Speaker 6: guys that were as highly recruited as him that would
- 9:51Speaker 6: have been as patient and waiting for his turn or understood,
- 9:54Speaker 6: you know, how they were going to use him as
- 9:57Speaker 6: they dipped his toe into the pool. So I I
- 10:00Speaker 6: really like the maturity that he has shown. And you know,
- 10:04Speaker 6: he has some fun on social media. You see him
- 10:07Speaker 6: on commercials. He's doing a little bit of it, but
- 10:09Speaker 6: I don't get the sense that it's getting to him
- 10:11Speaker 6: the way that it does some other guys. And let's
- 10:14Speaker 6: be honest, the money thing is something that can affect you.
- 10:18Speaker 6: He comes from a family that has a pretty good
- 10:20Speaker 6: amount of money, so it's not like a shock to
- 10:22Speaker 6: the system where you know, a guy hadn't had anything
- 10:24Speaker 6: all of a sudden, he's got a bunch and he's
- 10:26Speaker 6: going crazy with it. So I just I think all
- 10:28Speaker 6: these things line up to me to feel really good
- 10:31Speaker 6: about what his career is going to be. And often,
- 10:33Speaker 6: let's not forget, I think Stark is the best. I
- 10:36Speaker 6: think he's the best play designer, best play caller in
- 10:41Speaker 6: college football right now. And so it helps that he
- 10:45Speaker 6: gets an opportunity to learn from him and that he's
- 10:48Speaker 6: surrounded with the type of weapons that he has on
- 10:50Speaker 6: that team where they're going to run the football. He
- 10:52Speaker 6: didn't have to win games himself because of the ability
- 10:55Speaker 6: to run with that group of running backs and behind
- 10:58Speaker 6: a really talented offensive line.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Cause you know where the boy Chris Doring here on
- 11:02Speaker 4: OTB CD when I take a look at the SEC
- 11:05Speaker 4: and I know we talk about the same things pretty
- 11:08Speaker 4: often of Hey, this team needs to take another step,
- 11:10Speaker 4: this team has to make it to a college football playoff,
- 11:13Speaker 4: this team needs to win one more game, whatever it
- 11:16Speaker 4: might be. There's a team that's not really in that conversation,
- 11:19Speaker 4: that has really been struggling, and their fan base expects
- 11:22Speaker 4: way more. And I'm surprised it's not a little bit louder.
- 11:25Speaker 6: Are we talking about the Auburn Tigers.
- 11:26Speaker 4: The Auburn Tigers looking at us. We know each other,
- 11:28Speaker 4: so I mean two and six in the SEC last year,
- 11:32Speaker 4: five and seven overall and CD, I just I don't
- 11:35Speaker 4: even feel like we are talking about Hugh Freeze and
- 11:38Speaker 4: him needing to get it together. Really, the noise isn't
- 11:40Speaker 4: as loud as I thought it would be.
- 11:42Speaker 6: It's funny because I think you got two different approaches,
- 11:47Speaker 6: polar opposites. The way you talk about your team. You know,
- 11:50Speaker 6: Brian Brian Kelly has really kind of magnified what the
- 11:54Speaker 6: expectation of the fan base is in terms of what
- 11:57Speaker 6: they expect from this year's team. Meanwhile, Hugh Freeze is
- 12:01Speaker 6: talking about we just we need to make a bowl game.
- 12:03Speaker 6: Get the hell out of here. Make a bowl game
- 12:05Speaker 6: like that ain't enough. And particularly because of the expectation
- 12:08Speaker 6: coming in and what they've done on the recruiting trailers
- 12:11Speaker 6: the last couple of years, I do think this is
- 12:13Speaker 6: a team that's poised to make a big jump this year.
- 12:17Speaker 6: They played a lot of games where they lost in
- 12:19Speaker 6: single digit ball games last year, So I think, as
- 12:26Speaker 6: Lynn said, I mean, it's so much is about the quarterback,
- 12:29Speaker 6: and I believe that Jackson Arro getting a fresh start
- 12:33Speaker 6: and a different offense surrounded by a lot of really
- 12:35Speaker 6: good players. I mean, this is a receiver corps that
- 12:40Speaker 6: I think could be one of the best in the
- 12:41Speaker 6: league this year. They went out and got the Speedster
- 12:43Speaker 6: from from Georgia Tech to kind of compliment with what
- 12:46Speaker 6: Cam Coleman brings to you. So I actually am kind
- 12:50Speaker 6: of buying, cautiously buying that that Auburn could be a
- 12:54Speaker 6: little bit of a dark horse team this year in
- 12:55Speaker 6: the SEC.
- 12:58Speaker 2: So I want to hear.
- 13:02Speaker 7: I want to hear Chris Dorian's kind of just your
- 13:04Speaker 7: power rankings, preseason power rankings going into the season when
- 13:08Speaker 7: you look at everything from what people did in the
- 13:11Speaker 7: off season to what they're returning to everything.
- 13:13Speaker 2: Going into it.
- 13:15Speaker 7: Walking into game one of the twenty twenty five season,
- 13:18Speaker 7: give me your top three or four power rankings in
- 13:22Speaker 7: the SEC and then also tell us why LSU is
- 13:24Speaker 7: number one.
- 13:26Speaker 2: I am.
- 13:27Speaker 6: I'm high on LSU.
- 13:28Speaker 2: Man.
- 13:28Speaker 6: I'm a little biased too. I mean, you know, I
- 13:31Speaker 6: was talking about this yesterday on our show, just how
- 13:34Speaker 6: many LSU folks I'm surrounded by. I was doing the
- 13:36Speaker 6: show with Caroline Finton, who is another LSU grad, And
- 13:41Speaker 6: I think back to that magical twenty nineteen season, the
- 13:44Speaker 6: way that I was kind of welcomed into the fan
- 13:46Speaker 6: base by so many of the great Tiger fans. I
- 13:49Speaker 6: really have enjoyed watching Jay Johnson's run the last couple
- 13:53Speaker 6: of years. He was fantastic with us yesterday on our show,
- 13:56Speaker 6: and I guess pass I'm maybe finally going to get
- 13:59Speaker 6: my autographed l s U jersey from him, the one
- 14:02Speaker 6: that I had to Yeah Wetay.
- 14:03Speaker 4: Off the bet with Yeah Yeah, doing has a baseball jersey.
- 14:06Speaker 4: We're trying to get Jay Johnson to sign it. I'm
- 14:08Speaker 4: gonna personally make sure that happens. Don't lean on g
- 14:12Speaker 4: to get it done.
- 14:12Speaker 6: I'll get it he he did. I mean I mentioned
- 14:16Speaker 6: that at the end of the interview yesterday and Coach
- 14:18Speaker 6: Johnson said that he was going to get with the
- 14:20Speaker 6: equipment guy as soon as the interview was over to
- 14:23Speaker 6: make sure I had that that purple and gold jersey
- 14:25Speaker 6: up in my office. So I'm committing to that. And
- 14:28Speaker 6: when I say up in the office, has I mean
- 14:29Speaker 6: leaned up against the cabinet as I know that makes
- 14:32Speaker 6: you a little upset, but I yeah, I mean I'm
- 14:36Speaker 6: high on LSU. I'm interested in what you guys think about.
- 14:41Speaker 6: Like I made this assertment that I think this is
- 14:46Speaker 6: maybe the most important opener that I can remember for
- 14:48Speaker 6: any team in a long time, given the lack of
- 14:51Speaker 6: success that the program has had in general the last
- 14:54Speaker 6: five years and openers and particularly with Brian Kelly the
- 14:57Speaker 6: last couple of years. But at the end of the
- 14:59Speaker 6: end of the day, the way that the playoffs is
- 15:02Speaker 6: set up now you can lose one or two games,
- 15:05Speaker 6: is still get in and it isn't not a conference game.
- 15:08Speaker 6: You know, it's crazy. You guys would agree with me,
- 15:11Speaker 6: Like seeing that Florida LSU game in September as the
- 15:16Speaker 6: as the conference opener, like it, that is a that
- 15:19Speaker 6: may be a more important game. But I do feel
- 15:22Speaker 6: like there's a lot of angst about what this opener
- 15:26Speaker 6: will looked like there in Death Valley.
- 15:28Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't know how I feel about Florida LSU
- 15:31Speaker 4: being that early. I gotta be honest with you, that's
- 15:34Speaker 4: an October game every day, all day, and for it
- 15:37Speaker 4: to be right there, and you're right like those teams
- 15:40Speaker 4: and they've got some tough opponents before they even get
- 15:42Speaker 4: to each other. It might be a must win situation,
- 15:46Speaker 4: like your first time out of the gate in conference.
- 15:49Speaker 6: Yeah, it is, you know, jumping right into the fire. Now,
- 15:53Speaker 6: you guys remember last year, Florida had a brutal schedule
- 15:56Speaker 6: to open the month of September. I had to play Miami,
- 16:02Speaker 6: got physically embarrassed in that one, and then two games
- 16:05Speaker 6: later had to play Texas A and M and got
- 16:07Speaker 6: manhandled on the line of scrimmage there as well. I
- 16:10Speaker 6: do like the schedule for Florida this year. They get
- 16:12Speaker 6: to eat into a little bit more Long Island in
- 16:15Speaker 6: the opener and then South Florida week two. But I
- 16:18Speaker 6: don't know if there's a more brutal stretch of four
- 16:22Speaker 6: games success in succession than what Florida plays. They got
- 16:26Speaker 6: to go to Miami to play the Hurricanes, or excuse me,
- 16:29Speaker 6: they got to play They play you guys in Baton Rouge,
- 16:32Speaker 6: then Miami and then have to play Texas at home,
- 16:36Speaker 6: and then Texas A and M and College station. Like
- 16:38Speaker 6: that's gonna be a defining run for Florida. But I
- 16:42Speaker 6: do think remember the old days has we did on there,
- 16:44Speaker 6: we talk about, all right, where's the three game stretch
- 16:47Speaker 6: that matters the most for teams and what they can
- 16:50Speaker 6: or can't be. I think now with Texas and Oklahoma
- 16:53Speaker 6: in the league and a little bit more difficult scheduling
- 16:55Speaker 6: out of conference, we're seeing these these stretches where you know,
- 16:59Speaker 6: four games in a row or are brutal. So it's
- 17:02Speaker 6: it's it's kind of a sign of the times. But
- 17:05Speaker 6: as fans man, I would much rather get a chance
- 17:08Speaker 6: to see my team playing ball games like this than
- 17:10Speaker 6: playing SCS opponents.
- 17:13Speaker 7: I couldn't agree, But we talked about that the other day.
- 17:15Speaker 7: It's like, do whatever you have to do with the
- 17:17Speaker 7: playoff rules and how you're going to get in do
- 17:20Speaker 7: whatever you have to do to make sure that these
- 17:22Speaker 7: games stay here and they don't go back to scheduling
- 17:25Speaker 7: and other stuff.
- 17:26Speaker 2: So yeah, I mean that kind of leads me to
- 17:28Speaker 2: a good question.
- 17:29Speaker 6: Let me let me ask you a question playing real quick, Like,
- 17:31Speaker 6: as players, we wanted to play the best competition, man,
- 17:33Speaker 6: we wanted to get a chance to test ourselves. Don't
- 17:36Speaker 6: you love the idea of mandating the Power four teams
- 17:40Speaker 6: all having a game against the other Power three conferences
- 17:43Speaker 6: and being able to see how you match up against
- 17:47Speaker 6: the ACC, the Big twelve, and the Big ten, Like
- 17:49Speaker 6: it feels like that should be something that we could
- 17:51Speaker 6: at least mandate to really get a better temperature of
- 17:55Speaker 6: which conferences are the best and the teams out of
- 17:58Speaker 6: conference that are the best.
- 17:59Speaker 7: I love any idea that puts the best against the best,
- 18:03Speaker 7: no matter what part of the country and no matter
- 18:05Speaker 7: what the patch or the conference is on your jersey,
- 18:08Speaker 7: doesn't matter. I mean every year, we used to get
- 18:10Speaker 7: so excited for all the bowl games because you saw
- 18:12Speaker 7: the interconference matchups, Like we should be having that throughout
- 18:15Speaker 7: the year. And that's that's why, you know, you get
- 18:17Speaker 7: into these conversations about the committee and all this I
- 18:21Speaker 7: just I just prayed that it never gets to the
- 18:22Speaker 7: point where we have to go back to just strictly,
- 18:25Speaker 7: you know, you have to be undefeated or one loss
- 18:27Speaker 7: to be able to be in the conversation of getting in.
- 18:30Speaker 6: So meanwhile, the thing about like literally obviously didn't win
- 18:35Speaker 6: the Big Ten, didn't even play for the Big Ten championship,
- 18:38Speaker 6: and lost their final game of the season when we
- 18:40Speaker 6: were playing. You lose the final game of the season,
- 18:42Speaker 6: that's pretty much a death wish. So like I do
- 18:47Speaker 6: think that Ohio State, once they got past that Michigan game,
- 18:50Speaker 6: was playing the best of any team in the country.
- 18:52Speaker 6: So I think now college football is like, hey, let's survive.
- 18:56Speaker 6: Let's give ourselves a chance to be in position at
- 19:00Speaker 6: the end of the year, and you know, if we
- 19:02Speaker 6: can find a way to start clicking on all cylinders,
- 19:04Speaker 6: you can get hot in the postseason like a lot
- 19:06Speaker 6: of the other sports do in terms of determining champions
- 19:09Speaker 6: So it is a bit of a survival, particularly in
- 19:13Speaker 6: the grind that the SEC is now. But honestly believe,
- 19:17Speaker 6: with what happened last year in the postseason, we're gonna
- 19:20Speaker 6: get at least one or two nine win teams in
- 19:23Speaker 6: this year, something that we talked about last last year
- 19:26Speaker 6: a lot when Ole Miss, South Carolina and Bama got
- 19:29Speaker 6: snubbed at nine and three. But I do think that
- 19:31Speaker 6: we'll see at least one, if not multiple, nine win
- 19:36Speaker 6: teams from the league getting in this year.
- 19:38Speaker 4: A r There he is our boy, Chris Doring, SEC Network,
- 19:42Speaker 4: Florida Gator legend, somebody that we're gonna have a chance
- 19:45Speaker 4: to hang out with in two weeks, Sir Camp can't
- 19:48Speaker 4: wait looking forward to it.
- 19:50Speaker 6: Yeah, man, right around the corner boys, I look forward
- 19:52Speaker 6: to catching up with the Atlanta all right.
- 19:54Speaker 4: There he is Chris Doring, always good enough to join
- 19:56Speaker 4: us with his time. And look, if you're a Florida
- 19:58Speaker 4: Gator and you can be a friend of mine, you've
- 20:01Speaker 4: done something right, especialties. You have figured out the Rubik's cube.
- 20:06Speaker 4: You have turned it a lot of different ways and
- 20:08Speaker 4: finally solved it.
- 20:10Speaker 5: All right, we will take a break.
- 20:12Speaker 4: I do want to recap some of what CD was
- 20:13Speaker 4: talking about there, kind of look at what the SEC
- 20:16Speaker 4: looks like and kind of some of the different tiers.
- 20:18Speaker 4: Some of those teams like in Auburn that nobody's talking about.
- 20:21Speaker 4: Do we give them any opportunity will start that process
- 20:24Speaker 4: when we come back here.
- 20:25Speaker 5: It is otbpter bench.

- 20:53Speaker 4: you bring it back and it's like per day rental prices.
- 20:56Speaker 4: Even if you call them like, hey, we extended our
- 20:58Speaker 4: trip by a day, that's fine, Just add a day

- 21:22Speaker 7: start toy to Batanuge dot Com.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Two thousand and seven, Shamps Purple and Gold to the core.
- 21:42Speaker 1: This is off the bench with Hester and Flynn. Baton
- 21:45Speaker 1: rougees go to for all things Louisiana sports.
- 22:00Speaker 4: Try to knock them all, right, welcome back in OTB
- 22:06Speaker 4: one oh four five ESPN ban Rude, I brought up
- 22:11Speaker 4: Auburn Flynn because we talked so often about Okay, LSU,
- 22:18Speaker 4: they need to get to a cass football playoff. They do,
- 22:21Speaker 4: but they were nine to four last year, five and
- 22:23Speaker 4: three in conference play. It needs to be better. We
- 22:24Speaker 4: all agree, A and M who a lot of people
- 22:27Speaker 4: make fun of, and I get it.
- 22:29Speaker 5: It's fun.
- 22:29Speaker 4: I do it as well. They were five and three
- 22:31Speaker 4: though in conference play. Now eight and five overall. They
- 22:34Speaker 4: did lose to Notre Dame, who played in the National
- 22:36Speaker 4: Championship game. But it's not good enough by any means.
- 22:40Speaker 4: But it's not falling off a cliff, right, Even the
- 22:42Speaker 4: Florida Gators last year they're four and four in conference play, right,
- 22:46Speaker 4: they want to be better now. They did take strides,
- 22:48Speaker 4: they beat LSU, they beat Ale Miss at the end
- 22:50Speaker 4: of the year. But we talk about those teams so
- 22:52Speaker 4: often of they gotta be better. They got to be better.
- 22:55Speaker 4: They got to take another step and I'm talking about
- 22:59Speaker 4: not just here on this show because obviously, like we're
- 23:01Speaker 4: not talking about all these SEC teams every single day.
- 23:04Speaker 4: I'm talking about even on off campus over on serious XM,
- 23:07Speaker 4: like we'll talk, you know, the totality of the conference.
- 23:10Speaker 4: We'll have callers and interaction, and those are the teams
- 23:13Speaker 4: that people want to talk about. I'm like, Oklahoma was
- 23:16Speaker 4: two and six in the SEC last year, six and
- 23:19Speaker 4: seven overall. The Auburn Tigers were two and six in
- 23:23Speaker 4: the SEC, five and seven overall, and nobody's bringing that up. Like,
- 23:29Speaker 4: no matter where I go, no matter what show I do,
- 23:31Speaker 4: I'm like, it's always you know, it's it's A and M,
- 23:35Speaker 4: it's LSU. Alabama's got to get back to the playoff.
- 23:38Speaker 4: Florida's got to be better. And I agree with that,
- 23:41Speaker 4: But like when when you think about but when you
- 23:44Speaker 4: think about like the powers that Oklahoma and Auburn have been,
- 23:49Speaker 4: Like I'll argue when when we were in school, like
- 23:53Speaker 4: the Auburn Tigers were one of the toughest matchups we had.
- 23:57Speaker 7: Well when I got to school, that was that was
- 24:00Speaker 7: the rival at the time. Of course, the LSU, the
- 24:03Speaker 7: rival fluctuates with time and who's good at winn and where?
- 24:07Speaker 7: But man, I remember if you went there like you
- 24:10Speaker 7: were like I remember like seeing the highlight video, like
- 24:14Speaker 7: the recruiting highlight video that they used, and it was
- 24:16Speaker 7: like Phil Collins in the air tonight and it was
- 24:19Speaker 7: Auburn smoking cigars.
- 24:22Speaker 2: Cublic Is that him?
- 24:24Speaker 4: Yeah, Yeah, that's why you didn't win in Tiger stating
- 24:28Speaker 4: for like twenty years after that.
- 24:29Speaker 7: But yeah, it's so interesting because LSU's so unique because
- 24:32Speaker 7: the rival does fluctuate like that, And yeah, to hear
- 24:36Speaker 7: to hear that they were two and six in the SEC.
- 24:38Speaker 5: They haven't had a lot of good there.
- 24:40Speaker 7: And I'm trying to figure out, as you're saying this,
- 24:43Speaker 7: why are they getting that pass? And is it because
- 24:46Speaker 7: they've been so good in the past do they get
- 24:48Speaker 7: like a little legal.
- 24:49Speaker 4: Because Brian Harson, like if he if he stepped in
- 24:51Speaker 4: the wrong direction, people were like ready to throw him
- 24:54Speaker 4: at town. I mean there was a there was a
- 24:55Speaker 4: literal coup against him that turned out not to be
- 24:58Speaker 4: true to try to get him fired. But because Hugh
- 25:01Speaker 4: Freeze when he was an old mess beat Alabama a
- 25:04Speaker 4: couple of times, it feels like he gets this like
- 25:07Speaker 4: ultimate pass.
- 25:08Speaker 2: Yeah, what was it? The cheerleader thing? There was this rumor.
- 25:10Speaker 8: There was never a proven about Harrison and a cheerleader,
- 25:13Speaker 8: but there were people in Auburn that one of him fired,
- 25:15Speaker 8: Like the day he stepped went on campus.
- 25:16Speaker 2: People hated that higher.
- 25:17Speaker 8: Their philosophy was, we're Auburn, we don't hire a guy
- 25:20Speaker 8: from Boise State like he was. He was des in
- 25:23Speaker 8: avail before he even got there.
- 25:24Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:25Speaker 7: I feel like in college football with some of these teams,
- 25:27Speaker 7: it's like the court of public opinion. It is every
- 25:32Speaker 7: now and then can be pretty reasonable and look at
- 25:34Speaker 7: the situations and be like, all right, this school, this
- 25:39Speaker 7: football team, the organization. There's so many things happening that
- 25:43Speaker 7: are wrong, like bad, like we understand why they're like
- 25:46Speaker 7: we almost felt like it's a rebuilding, like Tennessee a
- 25:49Speaker 7: handful of years ago, like they were in the same
- 25:51Speaker 7: position like how do we ever get back to this?
- 25:53Speaker 7: And they the noise was probably equally as low then
- 25:57Speaker 7: because I think everybody just understood like this is this
- 26:00Speaker 7: is a rebuilding. We got to figure out how to
- 26:02Speaker 7: get back. The expectation isn't there, Like when you talk
- 26:05Speaker 7: about A and MLSU, like that expectation is there because
- 26:08Speaker 7: of recruiting classes, recent success. But like the team that
- 26:12Speaker 7: shocks me over Auburn is Oklahoma because they have had
- 26:15Speaker 7: recent success.
- 26:17Speaker 5: You're exactly right.
- 26:18Speaker 4: And you know so many times when we start talking
- 26:20Speaker 4: about the Big Twelve, everybody thinks it was Texas OU,
- 26:24Speaker 4: Texas OU.
- 26:25Speaker 5: They swapped punches.
- 26:27Speaker 4: Oh, you dominate the Big Twelve.
- 26:29Speaker 7: They wanted so in recent like they've had success recently,
- 26:35Speaker 7: how was that noise not?
- 26:36Speaker 4: When the playoffs got expanded, they were there every year.
- 26:38Speaker 4: Now they didn't win a game in the playoff, but
- 26:40Speaker 4: they were there at a seat at the table.
- 26:43Speaker 2: Oklahoma sooners two and six in conference play and.
- 26:47Speaker 4: Then Texas went to the SEC championship game, which.
- 26:49Speaker 2: So then they have heis. They have two heismans in
- 26:53Speaker 2: the last but six years.
- 26:55Speaker 4: You got Bakery and Murray runner up. And if it
- 27:01Speaker 4: wasn't for Sir Joseph Burrow having the year he had,
- 27:04Speaker 4: herds would have wanted.
- 27:05Speaker 7: To And a handful of years later the two and
- 27:07Speaker 7: six in conference play and that noise isn't deafening. Bren
- 27:14Speaker 7: was like a get off first year Oklahoma no and.
- 27:18Speaker 4: They have look and so I feel like Auburn's just
- 27:21Speaker 4: continuing to add like good receivers. But then you get
- 27:26Speaker 4: Jackson Arnold at a quarterback. He was a quarterback for Oklahoma
- 27:28Speaker 4: last year, like he was kind of in and out
- 27:30Speaker 4: of the lineup, like there was nothing. Now he had
- 27:32Speaker 4: injuries a receiver. I do get that, but there was
- 27:35Speaker 4: nothing that gets you excited. I think enough to think
- 27:38Speaker 4: Jackson Arnold can come in and turn it around. Now
- 27:41Speaker 4: for Oklahoma, I will say this about them, they have
- 27:44Speaker 4: done everything they.
- 27:45Speaker 5: Can to try to hit reset.
- 27:47Speaker 4: You go get Jah Mattier from Wazoo, You go get
- 27:49Speaker 4: Jay Nott at running back from cal You go get
- 27:52Speaker 4: Jim Naggy from the Senior Bowl. Jim Naggy's now their
- 27:55Speaker 4: general manager. So they they've at least they've tried to
- 27:58Speaker 4: add to the roster because I think Vinnibles understands you
- 28:02Speaker 4: can't win two conference games at Oklahoma and lift to
- 28:04Speaker 4: tell the story.
- 28:05Speaker 7: No, he is not the way it works. I dare
- 28:08Speaker 7: you to do that again this year you be gone
- 28:10Speaker 7: for sure. But yeah, I mean it's the noise around
- 28:16Speaker 7: Auburn has seemed like it's been kind of a cluster recently,
- 28:19Speaker 7: but not not with Oklahoma. That is the shocking part.
- 28:23Speaker 7: To me about all this is why they are not
- 28:26Speaker 7: calling into the show your show and screaming about that.
- 28:31Speaker 7: I would assume that he is on a hot seat,
- 28:33Speaker 7: am I Am I wrong for thinking that he has
- 28:35Speaker 7: to be.
- 28:36Speaker 2: This is year three, right, see. But the problem with
- 28:39Speaker 2: it's still two wins, right.
- 28:40Speaker 5: But the problem with Auburn in the.
- 28:42Speaker 4: Way they've kind of handled things, like they're still paying
- 28:44Speaker 4: Brian Harson. And not to say that Auburn doesn't have money,
- 28:47Speaker 4: I mean they do have have yellow wood, they have
- 28:49Speaker 4: deep pockets, like we understand that.
- 28:50Speaker 2: I'm talking about that. I'm talking about Oklahoma Inventable.
- 28:53Speaker 4: I'm just going over like, so that's what for Hugh Freeze,
- 28:56Speaker 4: I'm saying, like that's maybe why it's not loud there.
- 29:00Speaker 5: I haven't heard anything from.
- 29:02Speaker 4: Oklahoma either as far as like he's got to win
- 29:04Speaker 4: nine games or he's gone like Lincoln Riley leaving the
- 29:08Speaker 4: way he did. It feels like it hurt soon, like
- 29:12Speaker 4: they because for them and their eyes are like we're
- 29:15Speaker 4: not a place where our coach leaves to go anywhere else.
- 29:17Speaker 4: We're Oklahoma, and it feels like it hurt them, and
- 29:23Speaker 4: like they got this guy in Invinables that wants to
- 29:25Speaker 4: be there, has been there before as an assistant, and
- 29:27Speaker 4: it feels like he's getting a little bit more leeway
- 29:29Speaker 4: because of that.
- 29:32Speaker 7: I agree, But at some point the administration there has
- 29:38Speaker 7: to say, just like you just said, we are Oklahoma,
- 29:41Speaker 7: like we cannot accept below mediocrity in our conference, right,
- 29:47Speaker 7: we can't accept, but we can't accept being in the
- 29:50Speaker 7: middle of the pack, let alone the bottom of the pack.
- 29:52Speaker 7: So how much of a lease do you give? What
- 29:54Speaker 7: message does that send to all of your alumni, your boosters,
- 29:57Speaker 7: your fan base, what messages that sense saying, you know,
- 30:02Speaker 7: two wins is not enough to get you put on
- 30:04Speaker 7: a hot seat.
- 30:05Speaker 2: Maybe he is.
- 30:05Speaker 7: I mean they're not going to come out and say that,
- 30:07Speaker 7: you know he's on a hot seat, of course, But
- 30:09Speaker 7: you know, I think where there's smoke, there's fire, and
- 30:11Speaker 7: if there's no smoke, there's certainly there's no fire.
- 30:15Speaker 4: How about this before we take a break, here's Oklahoma's scheduled.
- 30:18Speaker 4: I know a lodger's loving this conversation right now. She's
- 30:21Speaker 4: probably raised to hate the Sooners. You got Illinois State, okay, whatever,
- 30:27Speaker 4: Then you got Michigan. You got Michigan at home. Now
- 30:31Speaker 4: we don't know what Michigan is going to be. There'll
- 30:32Speaker 4: be a preseason top twenty five team. Maybe Bryce Underwood
- 30:35Speaker 4: is the quarterback to start off there at Michigan. And
- 30:38Speaker 4: then you go on the road, which why on the
- 30:41Speaker 4: road to Temple? What in the whale is going on there?
- 30:46Speaker 2: You're Oklahoma.
- 30:48Speaker 4: Now you're playing in Eagle Stadium Lincoln Financial, But that
- 30:51Speaker 4: doesn't really matter. You're going to Temple, like playing.
- 30:54Speaker 2: A neutral site at Temple. That's basically what it was.
- 30:57Speaker 4: You're staying like if Okay, so like La Shoe will
- 31:00Speaker 4: go and they'll play like if they went to Houston.
- 31:04Speaker 4: They play it in NRG. But that's the biggest alumni
- 31:07Speaker 4: base for l s U. Makes sense, right, You give
- 31:11Speaker 4: those Tigers there in Houston a chance to go see
- 31:13Speaker 4: l s U play in Houston. Nick Saban would be
- 31:17Speaker 4: famous for somewhere in Florida, like he would go play
- 31:19Speaker 4: a game at South Florida because it was like the
- 31:22Speaker 4: Tampa area that was big for them. It was a
- 31:23Speaker 4: big time recruiting ground for them. Oklahoma is not creating
- 31:28Speaker 4: a pipeline and recruiting to Philadelphia.
- 31:33Speaker 9: That's so what is happening far from and then Temple
- 31:38Speaker 9: and they're awful.
- 31:39Speaker 7: Yeah, you have to well, I know you have to
- 31:42Speaker 7: schedule the big time game. So far in advance, I
- 31:44Speaker 7: don't know. Temple is not a big time game. When
- 31:46Speaker 7: did they schedule it? Well, when Lincoln Rally was the head.
- 31:50Speaker 8: They were like, guys, Lincoln Financial Field early in the season, A.
- 31:57Speaker 10: Kick what You're right, they're not going to fill that
- 32:06Speaker 10: out either. There's like it's gonna.
- 32:07Speaker 4: Look, there's gonna be three people there.
- 32:10Speaker 9: It's gonna be incredibly empty there. I would be shocked
- 32:14Speaker 9: if there were ou fans in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
- 32:16Speaker 7: You're putting yourself in a voluntary no win situation at
- 32:22Speaker 7: an empty.
- 32:25Speaker 5: NFL stadium.
- 32:25Speaker 8: Man, all right, we can Financial at night? Great eleven
- 32:29Speaker 8: am on a Saturday.
- 32:31Speaker 2: All right.
- 32:31Speaker 5: So that surprised me as well. So I'm glad the surprised.
- 32:34Speaker 4: And then okay, then they play Auburn and that's gonna
- 32:37Speaker 4: be at home as well. So two teams were talking
- 32:40Speaker 4: about here. Then you get a bye week, and then
- 32:42Speaker 4: you get Kent stayed at home. Okay, all right, whatever,
- 32:45Speaker 4: But then you've got Texas in Dallas at South Carolina.
- 32:52Speaker 4: Now they get Willie b during the day and not
- 32:54Speaker 4: night that's that's good for them. But still at South Carolina,
- 32:58Speaker 4: Ole Miss, at home, at Tennessee, at Bama.
- 33:02Speaker 8: I think those are five losses. I think they lose
- 33:04Speaker 8: all five of those games. I mean, find me a
- 33:06Speaker 8: little boy, to your point, your point they get Williams
- 33:10Speaker 8: probably said day and not night. That's fine unless you
- 33:12Speaker 8: struggled their ass off at eleven AM last.
- 33:14Speaker 4: Year Williams seventeen broken pencils.
- 33:17Speaker 8: In a game that, in my opinion, l s you
- 33:19Speaker 8: shouldn't have won a year ago. Like, that's five losses
- 33:21Speaker 8: for Oklahoma right there.
- 33:22Speaker 4: At best it's two and three, yes, right now, it
- 33:25Speaker 4: looks like it's now. I love Jeometerier quarterback.
- 33:28Speaker 5: I love him. He is a too gritty to be
- 33:30Speaker 5: pretty like type of guy.
- 33:32Speaker 2: But man, where's material coming from?
- 33:34Speaker 5: Washington State? He was cam Ward's uh back up.
- 33:38Speaker 4: They actually had like a two quarterback system at times
- 33:41Speaker 4: where they would play together.
- 33:43Speaker 5: It's pretty badass.
- 33:45Speaker 4: Like he Jeometereer would get it running back and they'd
- 33:47Speaker 4: snap it. Cam Mood would hand it off to him
- 33:49Speaker 4: going this way. Matier would grab the ball, reversed out
- 33:52Speaker 4: and throw it to cam Ward in the flats.
- 33:54Speaker 2: It was awesome.
- 33:55Speaker 5: It was an incredible play design.
- 33:56Speaker 4: But buckle up sooner because after that Alabama I talked about,
- 34:01Speaker 4: you get Missouri at home, you get LSU at home.
- 34:04Speaker 5: So I mean, buckle up, man. That's only it is
- 34:08Speaker 5: what it is.
- 34:10Speaker 2: It's only so much like good hydration contin I don't
- 34:12Speaker 2: know if you can do that much.
- 34:13Speaker 4: All right, we'll take a break talking Moore sec football
- 34:17Speaker 4: when we come back on OTV.

- 36:10Speaker 4: pick up as the show went along, picking up a
- 36:13Speaker 4: little bit.
- 36:13Speaker 2: This song like gets me like little service vibes.
- 36:18Speaker 10: What would you put what would you like? You know
- 36:21Speaker 10: how they bring out there? You put on it?
- 36:24Speaker 4: Did any of y'all get like from tigers?

- 36:31Speaker 4: It's just like I feel bad. I'm like, you don't
- 36:33Speaker 4: have to do Yeah, you don't have to.
- 36:35Speaker 7: We break down like no one else can you know,
- 36:38Speaker 7: hold the sparklers this time.
- 36:40Speaker 4: If it's said from from tigers, if it's from tigers
- 36:43Speaker 4: to talkers, I would just walk away.
- 36:45Speaker 5: I don't want to.
- 36:46Speaker 10: What if it's said more game than a gumbo pot.
- 36:49Speaker 4: I believe the premises out of the building, not just
- 36:52Speaker 4: the table. We gotta play that one.
- 36:54Speaker 9: And what if it was big boys lady holding it up?
- 37:00Speaker 7: I know, Oh my gosh, big voice lady.
- 37:05Speaker 2: Oh man. It's only only appropriate time to say big
- 37:08Speaker 2: and lady.
- 37:08Speaker 7: In the same sentence because it's a voice situation. So
- 37:12Speaker 7: we call maybe Fridays. This fall is like bottle service Friday.
- 37:16Speaker 2: I don't know, bring a sparkler. Howould they feel about that?
- 37:20Speaker 2: You know you ain't gonna reach the ceiling.
- 37:22Speaker 8: I mean there's something that will not the ones that
- 37:24Speaker 8: we'd get.
- 37:27Speaker 2: We'll be good.
- 37:27Speaker 5: I think. Wouldn't mind a sparkler?
- 37:30Speaker 8: No, actually, old bottle rockets, or you can heat up

- 37:40Speaker 5: used to.
- 37:40Speaker 4: Be over there.

- 37:45Speaker 8: I'm never cold during the show.
- 37:46Speaker 5: It feels great. I can wear short sleeves again.
- 37:48Speaker 7: I don't have to wear this seat over here. This
- 37:50Speaker 7: side of the table is like having a fever. You
- 37:54Speaker 7: get chills because you're so cold, and then you break
- 37:56Speaker 7: out in sweats because it's so hot. It's just like
- 37:58Speaker 7: back and forth, like my shirt doesn't know what to do.

- 38:32Speaker 8: Speaking of we got Livingston Paris shout out. They got
- 38:36Speaker 8: a West now Case. Saw that the other West case. Yeah,
- 38:39Speaker 8: the first one years and it happened to LP. It

- 38:48Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't know where. I just saw the headline
- 38:51Speaker 2: it said living West first.
- 38:53Speaker 8: West now Case, and like, I don't know, like a
- 38:56Speaker 8: long time right here.

- 39:18Speaker 9: has a computer virus.
- 39:19Speaker 4: And it was my brother in Lall had a friend
- 39:22Speaker 4: growing up. His name was west Nail. That's the truth
- 39:25Speaker 4: for it. And you say it with an accent like
- 39:27Speaker 4: we have a an l P.
- 39:30Speaker 2: It is west Nail. Hey tell you didnim springstand is right? Oh? Yeah?
- 39:36Speaker 8: The uhou the excellent eighteen wheeler driver hit the guy
- 39:39Speaker 8: in the bucket.
- 39:40Speaker 10: Truck and those people drive like driving.
- 39:44Speaker 8: I was telling Matt for the show. I knew the
- 39:45Speaker 8: intersection before they even released where it was.
- 39:47Speaker 4: It was like, exactly where that is?
- 39:49Speaker 5: Is that the worst one?
- 39:50Speaker 2: So?
- 39:50Speaker 4: Is that the one where you get off and your
- 39:51Speaker 4: if you were going to downtown, din't the anti It's right.
- 39:55Speaker 8: There where you got like Chick fil A on one side,
- 39:58Speaker 8: Mickey D's on the other.
- 40:00Speaker 4: Yeah, my man was just hanging. He was clipped in.
- 40:05Speaker 4: Thank good.
- 40:05Speaker 2: It's always where ship protection kidding me.

- 40:11Speaker 2: Off though, Yeah, that's that's on multiple people.
- 40:15Speaker 10: But also it was behind.
- 40:16Speaker 9: It was like an epidemic of eighteen wheeler drivers driving
- 40:21Speaker 9: insane and not paying attention to where they're going, as
- 40:23Speaker 9: if they're not driving the biggest vehicle in existence.
- 40:26Speaker 8: Also, trust me, wouldn't have mattered if that lane was
- 40:28Speaker 8: blocked off not there not there not, there.
- 40:31Speaker 4: Would an eighteen will like on the interstate, Like when
- 40:33Speaker 4: you're traveling and one like knows that, okay, I shouldn't
- 40:37Speaker 4: get over, But what's he really going to do if
- 40:39Speaker 4: I do? And they do it and they come like
- 40:40Speaker 4: an inch from hitting your car? Man like, yeah, they
- 40:44Speaker 4: turn road rage up to eleven. I'm like going in
- 40:47Speaker 4: the other lane. I'm like, pull over. You can't see
- 40:50Speaker 4: me because you're so high up, but I'm trying to
- 40:51Speaker 4: get my horms high.
- 40:53Speaker 10: I get so mad.
- 40:55Speaker 9: I get so mad when they're in the fast lane
- 40:57Speaker 9: going slow and I'm like, you need to get out
- 41:00Speaker 9: of my way.
- 41:00Speaker 7: They're going sixty one, but the eighteen wheeler quarter mile
- 41:04Speaker 7: ahead of him going sixty r so they got a
- 41:07Speaker 7: pass on at sixty one. It's maybe just like skinny
- 41:10Speaker 7: one on the right, but he just hit it a
- 41:11Speaker 7: little bit harder.
- 41:12Speaker 4: Yeah, just like as my Dad used to always say,
- 41:15Speaker 4: it's the long, skinny one on the right.
- 41:16Speaker 7: Push it down, push it a little bit harder, that
- 41:19Speaker 7: lead foot a litle bit heavier, guys, that's all we need.
- 41:22Speaker 7: But I'm sure all the eighteen wheel drivers listening to
- 41:25Speaker 7: this show the tens of thousands video where you give
- 41:28Speaker 7: sure they're good drivers.
- 41:29Speaker 5: Oh my god, dang.
- 41:33Speaker 8: Show block, look at that got the bottoms, Like, hold on,
- 41:36Speaker 8: I do love my truck drive.

- 41:47Speaker 10: Need y'all to realize what y'all are in.
- 41:49Speaker 2: Yeah, they got those bright yellow vests on. They're there.
- 41:52Speaker 4: So when that guy keeps going, you think, what's that
- 41:54Speaker 4: phone call? Like boss from his like he knows he
- 41:57Speaker 4: hit him? Does he call him? Or is he just
- 41:59Speaker 4: like wait for them call him?
